Welcome to Lingdom Quest, a cute and comfy slice-of-life quest about exploring the Lingdom, a kingdom of pygmies!

You are Rika, a 15-year-old Ling on a journey with your cousin Kari, friends Bubu and Puki, and fox friend Moochy. You are on your Youthful Journey, a custom among your people where you leave your home to travel across the Lingdom to visit relatives and friends in other villages to help out and learn new skills. The function of the Youthful Journey is also to reconnect you with your wider family.

>What are Lings?
Pygmy humans with large, round ears who live in the Lingdom, a kingdom separated from the rest of the world and under the protection of the Emperor. The Emperor is known as a "Tallie", a human of normal height and normal-shaped and sized ears. Among your people are also "Halfies", individuals with both Ling and Tallie blood who appear like Lings in their childhood but enter a rapid growth spurt in their young adulthood (and reverting back to Ling size in their elder years.)

>Where do Lings come from?
The Lings claim to have been hosted by the Great Turtle where they learned to be good guests. Much of their core values come from their time being the Great Turtle's guests;
>To be neat, tidy, and clean after themselves.
>To eat sparingly so as to not overburn their hosts.
>To reciprocate gifts so as to share Memories.

>Memories
Memories are something of a religious and spiritual concept for Lings. They represent literal memories that an individual holds but also their relationships and binds them all as one people, not only throughout the land but also through time. Ways Lings share their Memories:
>Offering gifts.
>Doing activities together.
>Telling stories.

>Guest-Host Relationship
Lings behave themselves in accordance with the guest-host relationship as they learned from the Great Turtle. A Host must be benevolent and gracious to their guests, and a guest must be respectful and considerate to their hosts. This relationship is also attributed to their understanding of agriculture and politics. The land they cultivate is considered their host, but the crops raised from it their guests. The Emperor is a sacred individual who is their guest in their home, but their Host in His Empire.

>Other Cute Ling Things
Lings are known for a variety of cute habits and behaviors. Here's some of them:
>They don't have chairs, preferring to squat or sit on the ground.
>Their cuisine largely consists of hand-held foods, wrapping their meals in either tortillas or leaves.
>The only meat they eat are seafood and bugs.
>They prefer sleeping in hammocks over beds.
>They consider leaving things on the floor dirty so most of their possessions are hung on the walls or ceilings (like their hammocks)

Where did the Great Turtle come from? What was it like when it was a Little One? We're all born unable to Remember anything, trusting Our elders' Memories about Us until We're able to Remember. Our Host saved Us from the Demons who bullied Us to the Wide-Waters, and even after saying goodbye to Our Host, We still find Ourselves running away from meanies. Maybe Our Host and its family were bullied from their home far, far away. Maybe Our Host lost its family and had nobody to share their Memories with. Maybe it could not share its Memories with Us because We were still Little Ones who could not yet Remember. Maybe one day We will leave like Our Host after teaching a Little Guest to Remember... But for now, We have the Emperor who loves to listen to Our Memories and protect Us from the meanies!

You went to bed sharing a large hammock with your friends, surrounded by ghosts. You wondered if the Great Turtle's family had a Host to teach them how to Remember, much like how it taught your family to. Was the Great Turtle's host as big to it as the Great Turtle is to you? Tallies call the Ocean and the Sky the same thing, and at night one can see the horizon of the Ocean Above like how one can see the horizon of the Sky Below. If that's where Our Host came from, maybe one day when We learn to sail the Ocean Above, We can return Our Host to its home...

The following morning, the Youthies of the village gathered at the dock to prepare for the Kelp Gathering Festival. Everybody was eager to find their new crocko friend to dive with, but you and your friends agreed on swimming with that mean crocko. You saw it sitting on a rock alone as if it knew it didn't have a chance.

How will you spend your time with the crocko today?
>Dive with the crocko and stick with it no matter how slow it is.
>Play with the crocko and not worry about the dive.
>Invite it to the dock to make up and play with Moochy.
>Write-in.
>>
Glad to see this back again after our protagonist made special Memories elsewhere. Your art stole the show.

>Dive with the crocko and stick with it no matter how slow it is.
As we're swimming with our friends, we can cycle one at a time to take turns with the crocko. That way, we can keep him company without risk of drowning.

Hey guys, I know I usually update twice a week, but this week I think I came down on something. As an apology for the inconvenience, here is a culture spread of the many people of the wider setting I made a while back, the Memory Cherishers representing the descendants of Lings.

>>6041186
Those were fun times but also consumed a big chunk of my time, if I did that again I'd probably do something less serious, as much as how goofy the setting is already.
>>
You swam back to the dock with the crocko, it swimming in circles around you. Everybody was gathered on the docks with their new crocko friends and after you climbed onto the dock, your friend was too shy to get out. Perhaps it didn't want anybody to see her deformed leg, so you tapped your hands onto the edge of the dock, and the crocko came up to nip your fingers. Bubu who was standing next to you began mimicking that monotonous trill crockos do. After hearing Bubu, the crocko climbed up onto the dock, you and Bubu petted it while Moochy hid behind Bubu's legs. Bubu stepped away, allowing the crocko and Moochy to smell each other, where you laid a leaf and acorn bun between them to share. They each bit on it and tore it in half to munch on it. While your animal friends were becoming friends, aunties and uncles came out with nets and bridles, passing them to each of you.

"Good morning, good morning! We are happy to see you all eager to join us today! Many of you might have seen your baba and pappy make soap with kelp, but have you ever wondered where they get their kelp? You can find it in many places of Our Host, but here at Deep Waters, we harvest so much kelp that even Tallies get to use it!"

An uncle fastens a bridle in the mouth of his crocko and puts a net behind it.

"We can get all the help we need here ourselves, but our crocko friends can dive so deep and help us harvest enough for Our whole family. They're strong swimmers and can help drag us down, but they have a hard time getting any help for us. They also don't like the taste! But they don't mind holding kelp for us while we use our hands to harvest."

You noticed your crocko looking shyer than usual, sitting next to Moochy and tucking her hindleg under Moochy's tail, so you bent down to pet her while Bubu mimicked the trill.

"Remember, it's not a race, and the only thing more important than having fun is SAFETY! It can get dark and spooky beneath the waters, so all your aunties and uncles already harvested kelp below a certain line. You are not allowed to go past that and if we catch you, you'll be forbidden from participating in the soap-making festival!"

You all fastened a net and bridle onto your crocko friends, you and Bubu sharing your friend while Kari and Puki were sharing that nice crocko from yesterday. Aunties and uncle did a demo in the waters with you, making you watch them being dragged down by a crocko, and then picking kelp with their hands before placing them in their friends' netpack. Soon they reemerged with a netpack full of kelp and placed it on the dock where they were given an empty netpack.

"And that's how it's done! If you ever feel scared or see someone doing something scary, tug on your friend and they'll swim back up to the surface. Your aunties and uncles will be swimming around to make sure nobody is doing anything scary or if anybody is having any trouble because remember..."

"The only thing more important than having fun is SAFETY!" you all shouted in unison.

When it was time to start, you and your friend dove down along with the others. Your friend was easily outpaced by the other crockos as it struggled to tow you. Though it can reach a patch of kelp, you couldn't stay for too long and had to re-emerge before even filling up your netpack. When Bubu dove down, he re-emerged with even less kelp than you as the others had picked clean much of the kelp closer to the surface.

"We're running out of kelp... but I think our friend had fun anyway." said Bubu as he petted the crocko, praising it.

Just then, Kari emerged with her third pack of kelp, high-fiving Puki.

"Awright! I think we've gotten the most, there's no way anybody could catch up now that all the help was running out!" said Puki. That was their seventh pack together.

You couldn't help but feel your friend was feeling a bit disappointed in itself. It was only able to dive twice before all the available kelp was picked. There was however more deeper, past the lower layer the grown-ups already picked from... but that's not safe!

You decided to...
>Finish the day by expressing how proud you are of your friend.
>Take your friend for one more dive. Even if you won't get any kelp, you're sure your friend just liked to dive with you.
>Aski Kari and Puki if you can borrow their friend... and have your friend and their friend tow you down together... maybe they'll be faster together to go past the safety line in a timely manner.

You got down and hugged your crocko friend as the last of the help was harvested.

"I know you couldn't dive as much as you wanted, but I had a lot of fun! That was brave of you to dive even though you wouldn't be as good as anybody else, but if it wasn't for you, Bubu and I would never have those Memories! Thank you so much for diving with us~"

Moochy came by and dropped some snails at the crocko's feet but she wasn't in the mood to eat despite Moochy pushing them forward with his snout. So Moochy sat by his new friend who just moped around, none of them eating the snails.

Before the Sun rose as high as it could, much kelp had to dry. Everybody diligently hung kelp on racks, a grown-up led the singing of a song you had never heard of before. It was a song about running away from meanies chasing your family from the Hammock hundreds of seasons ago.

The rude Tallies came to Our homes as rude guests, demanding We row their rafts, abusing Our nature of being good hosts! So We ran to the trees, as Tallies are too big to climb them, but they continued to chase Us until We found Deep Waters inhabited by little dragon children! They were scary We thought, but We had no choice but to dive into the waters to swim to these tall trees in the middle of the waters. But Our dragon friends had learned to be good hosts and guided Us here, while those Meanies were too scared to even get in the waters!

After hanging the kelp you were all invited to enjoy lunch prepared by your babas and pappies. While slurping on steamed snails, Bubu spoke up about your crocko friend.

"I feel sorry for our friend. I think we should invite her to make soap with us during the festival," said Bubu.

"Hnn?? A crocko making soap?? But crockos hate the taste of kelp!" said Kari.

"You dummy, it's not like we're supposed to chew on them! W-wait... r-right!?" said Puki.

You're pretty sure chewing kelp isn't part of the Soap-Making Festival... Even then, it didn't feel right to not spend the rest of the day with your friend...

After the meal, the grown-ups summoned the village with the bell, and all the Youthies congregated around a shallow and wide pit filled with wet kelp. All the crockos had retired to bask in the sunlight, being the lazy creatures they are, except for Go-Getty who followed you. She sat behind you, peaking between your legs, crockos were never really interested in kelp, but she stuck around out of curiosity and loneliness. Before you were a few aunties and uncles lined up in the pit, lightly dressed and wearing hobbed sandals.

"Good afternoon, Little Ones!" said an auntie.

[bold]"Good afternoon, auntie!!"[/bold] you all said back.

"I hope you all had fun swimming with the crockos, but now it's time to let them rest! For the Soap-Making Festival, we have to mash the kelp into a paste. Some of you might have seen your baba or pappy use a mortar and pestle, but we'll dance and mash the kelp with our feet instead!"

The aunties and uncles demonstrated a dance, their feet sliding and picking up to grind and tear kelp with their sandals as musicians played. They would lock hands and take turns to twirl around each other, one partner staying in place to help spin the other around them. After a bout they switched partners during a beat in the song, stepping to the side and making their way across the pit.

"Doesn't this look fun, Little Ones? We hope you'll meet some friends while dancing, but if you get too tired you could always step aside and have a rest!"

It certainly looked fun, but how was Go-Getty supposed to dance with her non-Ling body? Maybe you can dance alone with her, or let her hug your feet as you dance...
>Join the dance and keep Go-Getty by your feet to help you mash kelp and hope you get to lock hands with Bubu.
>Step aside and dance with Go-Getty by yourself.

Before dancing on the slippery kelp, you were all given hobbed sandals so you wouldn't slip too much on the kelp. When asked to find a partner to practice with, your hands immediately grabbed Bubu's before anybody else could. Bubu had always been clumsy, he had a hard time picking up the motions, what a silly boy! So Go-Getty stepped in and started pushing his legs around, ensuring he danced correctly. Despite Go-Getty's stubby leg, she was more coordinated than Bubu.

"Oho, what a nice crocko, helping your friend dance!" said an Auntie. "Maybe next time we could encourage those other lazy scales to dance with us!"

You spun Bubu around you, Go-Getty chasing after him with hops. Even Moochy joined too, it was starting to look like the two of them were bullying Bubu for being such a terrible dancer! At the end of the beat, you and Bubu switched roles so he spun you. You wanted to spin around Bubu forever, your hands locked with his. Suddenly, the beat shifted and you were passed along to another partner. Before you knew it, you were dancing in the kelp pit with all your friends, locking your hands with so many other Youthies. You even forgot about Go-Getty and Moochy, who were off bullying Bubu during the dance.

Throughout the dance, you yearned to lock hands with Bubu again, but he never came across you since the practice round. The music came to a close and despite your disappointment, you cheered with everybody else. Your feet were covered in a kelp pesto, as was the ground below you. As you were all tired from dancing, the grown-ups came out to sweep all the pesto into a bucket. You sat down by your friends, Moochy was licking pesto off Go-Getty's scales. It really looked like they were becoming close friends!

"Bubu's so bad at dancing!!" said Puki. "It was more like I was just dancing with Go-Getty!"

"I danced with Bubu five times, but it was like I was dancing with him, Moochy, and Go-Getty all at once!" said Kari.

"I only remember being bullied by Moochy and Go-Getty..." said Bubu.

Poor Bubu, it's as if he never really got the dance to dance! Maybe...

The kelp pesto was poured into heated cauldrons, and stirred by grown-ups. You spent the rest of the day sharing Memories with the other Youthies, playing with the Little Ones, and smiling at Go-Getty and Moochy getting along. The grown-ups mixed the pesto with some powder, and as the Sun came down everybody gathered at the bottom of the village to have dinner together. You ate roasted pinecone wrapped in kelp with seasoned snails, watching the kelp mix pour into molds for bar-shaped soap.

While everybody was watching the mix being poured, you whispered to Bubu next to you.

"Hey Bubu... do you want me to teach you how to do the dance tonight?"

"I'm no good at dancing, what if we stay up so late, making it hard for you to wake up?"

"I'll wake up as long as you wake me up!!"

"Oh, okay... but what about the song? Who would stay up with us?"

"I'll... I'll sing for us!!"

"Oh, okay... should we invite our friends?"

Bubu just doesn't get it, does he? How do you respond to this thick-headed boy?
>"S-sure... we can all dance together!"

You told Bubu you just wanted to dance alone with him. It puzzled him though he gave his usual "Okay," reminding you of all the times you probably bossed him around when you were Little Ones.

You had dinner in your Auntie Baba's home, Go-Getty followed you and your friends, making her the center of attention of all the Little Ones. Moochy was a bit jealous so he crawled into Kari's lap to be spoiled with belly rubs. While everybody was enjoying dinner and playing with the animals, you snuck Bubu out of the house and made your way to an isolated edge of the village. Although the Sun was no longer out, many spirits rose from the waters to illuminate the village.

Surrounded by ghosts, you took Bubu's hands and slowly hummed the Kelp Dance song. The dancing was much slower to help Bubu ease into it. It helped that there was no kelp to crush and slip on. You practiced spinning each other, Bubu often hesitated when spinning, scared of tripping and falling despite the lack of slippery kelp. You were happy to just lock hands with him, but you wished he paid more attention to you than his feet.

What could you do?
>Stop doing the kelp dance and free style with him, maybe he'll be better with something less structured.

You danced the night away with Bubu, and despite the slow dancing, you appreciated the time you spent with him. You're glad he was such a dummy, being able to hold hands with him for so long was better than being able to dance with him so casually. Bubu has not only always been this clumsy, but also slow at learning new things. You recall when you were Little Ones he was the last one of your age to begin speaking. Often he would stay quiet and agree to play whatever you and your other friends wanted to play, never speaking up to express what he wanted to do. After a few bouts of slowly dancing, Bubu soon got faster, soon he was dancing as fast as anybody else. You can't help but feel disappointed that you couldn't hold hands with him as intimately as when he was still learning.

"Thank you for always being patient with me, Rika," said Bubu.

You hugged each other before retiring to your Auntie Baba's house. When you arrived, all your friends were ready to climb to the canopy to go to sleep. Tomorrow will be the day you will have to say goodbye to Deep Waters.

The following morning you gathered at the bottom deck of the village for your final meal with Deep Waters. Along with leaf platters, the villagers gifted you each a bar of soap and a woven bag of crushed dried kelp, good for making liquid hand soap for your family!

Your Little One cousins hugged and cried to you goodbye, but it was just as sad for you and Kari to say goodbye to your Auntie Baba and Go-Getty.

"Little Rika and Little Kari, don't make a habit of crying!" said Auntie Baba. "Your mama and I have many other siblings and cousins living across the Lingdom, if you keep this up you might end up crying at every village!"

You departed on a raft, Go-Getty swimming behind you with Moochy sitting on top of her. When you reached the shore, Moochy jumped off and you and your friends petted Go-Getty goodbye. As you turned to leave and walked off, Moochy yapped at you for you to turn around, with Go-Getty trailing behind. Poor Go-Getty, she won't have an easy time traveling with you on land, not to mention her stubby little leg...

Should Go-Getty come along?
>Yes, Go-Getty is a Go-Getter! We'll carry her if she gets tired enough!
>No, this is where Go-Getty belongs, where she will encourage the rest of her family to dance with yours. Hug her and return her to Deep Waters and ask your Auntie-Baba to look after her.

Although it would have been wonderful for Go-Getty to come along, as well as for Moochy to have a friend, it would be terribly difficult for her to keep up, not to mention that one should not leave one's family because friends are more convenient. You and your friends cried seeing the sad look on Moochy and Go-Getty, but alas, you returned to Deep Waters with her to see your Auntie Baba.

"Aiya, what a tragic thing for a Little One to wish to abandon its family..." Auntie Baba squatted to pet Go-Getty. "We've only recently met Them hundreds of seasons ago, perhaps They have much to learn... But then again, Our closest friends We found all alone and in need of Our help, and once We helped Them They returned with a bigger family for Us to be friends with!"

Auntie Baba's little ones came out to shower Moochy and Go-Getty with attention, rolling around with their furry and scaly friend.

"The Little Ones really want to make friends with Go-Getty," said Auntie Baba. [greeniOur friends really are too lazy to come visit Us, so We have to visit Them. Maybe that's why the Little Ones are excited for Go-Getty to visit Us."

"I-It's not fair!!" said Puki. "Go-Getty is so much cuter than Moochy, why can't we just leave Moochy here instead??"

"What's most fun is not always best for Us or Them, Little One," said Auntie Baba. "If you brought Go-Getty with you, you make many Memories together, Go-Getty may not remember her home with such fondness and make her resent her family."

"Puki, didn't your baba say something like that about Moochy??"

"...This is different! Moochy was already too fat and Go-Getty just needs help making friends!!"

"Why don't we help Go-Getty make friends before we go?" said Bubu.

With Auntie Baba's wisdom, what should be done? Obviously, you should stay with Go-Getty for a while to help her make friends! But take care not to stay too long, for you have plenty of Memories to make beyond.
>Stick around for a while and help Go-Getty make friends in the village. Maybe one day one of the Little Ones will bring a more confident Go-Getty with them on their Youthful Journey.
>Stick around for a while and help Go-Getty make friends in the waters. Go-Getty needs to be comfortable with herself as a Crocko.
>Leave with Go-Getty, the journey may be more difficult, but maybe the Memories she'll make will help her family spread across the Lingdom.

You decided to stick around to help Go-Getty make friends among your family! The Little Ones cheered, picking up Go-Getty and running around the home with her in the air.

"Aiya! Hina-Toya-Ruso~oi, put your guest down!" said your Auntie Baba to your little cousins. "That is no way to be a host to your guest, you don't just pick her up and scare her like that!"

"But Baba, Go-Getty is making happy noises!!"
"Yea!!"

You wonder if you were just as bratty as your little cousins when you were littler.

You stayed with your family for two days, getting Go-Getty accustomed to living on land instead of the waters. Despite being a creature of the waters, Go-Getty didn't mind trudging around on the drier land, sometimes she would snap her toothless jaws at little ones who tried to pick her up so they could play elsewhere. She really just wanted to be able to do things on her own.

During the night, the little ones wanted to help Go-Getty climb up to their hammocks to sleep with her, but Auntie Baba told them no.

"Aiya, if you never leave Go-Getty alone, they'll become so hopeless without any of you!" said Auntie Baba.

"But Baba, Moochy always sleeps with Anh Bubu!!" The snitch! It prompted Moochy to yap at that little one. Bubu patted him to calm him down. For the night, Moochy and Go-Getty curled up with each other to sleep in a little corner.

On the second day, they chased each other all the way to the canopy, and while Go-Getty needed to rest a few times, the look on her face to see her whole home from so high the first time was perhaps the better sight to behold. When you returned you found Auntie Baba weaving a basket, a bed for Go-Getty and Moochy! You, Kari, Puki, and Bubu joined to finish by night while your friends played with your little cousins. When the Sun fell and everybody returned to the house, Go-Getty and Moochy crawled into the basket together and covered themselves with the blanket placed by your Auntie Baba.

The following day, Auntie Baba asked you to leave so that you may continue on your Youthful Journey. You knew it was time to go, but it was sad to see Go-Getty and Moochy so sad from being separated. For the goodbye, Go-Getty and Moochy curled together in the basket and floated along your raft, accompanied by your cousins. Though Our friends are not as good at making things to share, it seemed that Go-Getty and Moochy was trying to leave a lasting Memory of their friendship in the basket. You all hugged and cried before waving goodbye, your little cousins got on the raft with Go-Getty to return to Deep Waters. During the duration, Moochy stayed by the shore to stare at his friend who continued to peak out of the basket with sad eyes. When the raft finally returned and the basket was carried back into the house, Bubu patted Moochy and asked him to come along.

Leaving Deep Waters, you came across a smoothed rock path wide enough for you and all your friends to hold hands with your arms as far as possible, though you didn't really walk like that, you only did it to see how wide it was. It reminded you of the streets of the Hammock, although there were no tall buildings around, just the trees. You soon heard music from ahead as you continued on the road, so you held hands with Kari and Bubu to skip along, Puki reluctantly joined only because walking would have been too slow.

Soon you came across a bunch of Tallies! Oh wait, they have large ears, so they're Halfies! They weren't just any Halfie though, they were uniformed Bravies! You counted maybe 50 of them, some were digging a trench in front of the road, and others filling it with gravel. Off to the side you noticed villagers playing music and picnicking in an open field, watching the Bravies go!

As the Sun was as high as it could be, you and your friends figured it was as good of a time as any other to take a break. Leaving the road and coming onto the field, your family waved at you, beckoning you to come close by.

"Hoho! You came at a perfect time!" said a pappy. "The Emperor has been sending Bravies across the land to build these paths to help Us travel to the Hammock faster. They're working so hard we wanted to play music for them but everybody from the village came out to enjoy the music and show!"

"Hnn? But this is so far from the Hammock and we from Pointy Bells live so much closer, how come we've never seen them??" said Kari.

"Probably because we live so close and on the opposite side of the Hammock," said Puki. "Wouldn't make much sense to build that way when everybody else lives so much further away from the Hammock, right?"

With the Sun so high, the Bravies also took a break. They laid their tools down and headed to the field to sit and eat with the villagers. You've never been surrounded by so many tall people at once, it felt a bit intimidating for them to all come at once. Most of them looked young, even if tall, though a few gray-haired Bravies sat by some elders to have casual conversation. The villagers had food prepared to offer to the Bravies and when they sat down to eat, the babas of the villagers wouldn't stop stuffing the Bravies' mouths with food.

"Eat! Eat! Eat! Eat! Eat!" said the babas. You felt a bit sorry for the Bravies who probably just wanted to relax.

You joined the Bravies and the villagers to have a meal, Kari met a Bravie who claimed to be the legendary UNBREAKABLE RANGER KOTA, a name you've heard before from your wilder days as a Little One. But that can't be true, Unbreakable Ranger Kota lived decades ago!? This Bravie didn't even appear to be past his mid 20's!

When some of the older Bravies learned of Bubu's popappies, they offered him a seat as they recalled Bubu's own pappies and shared their Memories of them.

"Little Bravie, when We were not so much older than you, it was your Popappy Vrubor who was in charge of our training! He was sure mean!" said the Elder Bravie. "Because he was mean to us, we're going to be mean to you!" The Elder Bravies laughed as they blew a whistle to call the Bravies back to their labors, bringing Bubu along.

Oh no! Could Bubu keep up with the rest of the tall, strong, and handsome Bravies??
>Tag along and labor with him to make sure he's okay!
>Cheer him on with music!
>Bubu should get used to being a Bravie. Stay behind and help cook meals for the next break.

Remember that we had a Strength score of 5, kek. We should take up a different task so he's still able to have experience for himself, but be close enough by in case there's an accident.

Bubu marched with the Bravies back to the trench they were digging up. Worried about the poor guy, you took off and when Kari realized what you were doing, she too went along.

"Yar! Bubu needs our help, good thinking, Rika!" said Kari.

"Little Bubu sure is popular with the Little Fairies!" said an Elder Bravie, the Bravies chuckled along, beginning a little shanty while shoveling the earth.

"Ouuuuut here under the hot hot Sun,
We slave slave slave until the day is done!
If only if only the boss gave us a break,
But I can't slow slow down, not with some Fairies over there"

Singing is a natural part of laboring, but there was something offputting about this song to you! What could it be? You tried singing it but you just couldn't get into it. Bubu had trouble singing it too, but that's just because he's Bubu.

"R-Rika, this song... It's about us, isn't it!?" said Kari. It really is! It's a song about working hard to impress girls like you! Is this one of those "Boy Songs" your Baba warned you about!?

"Aiya! Rika, Kari, if you ever hear boys singing songs about girls, you should leave! You should only be singing about working, family, or friends. If you sing a song about a boy, it should be a song you made just for him!! The only songs a boy can sing about girls are ones they made for one girl, not just any!!"

Kari seemed embarrassed, frozen at such a crass and impolite behavior!

>This sort of singsonging is inappropriate for proper ladies like you and Kari. We should leave with Bubu so he doesn't learn of any of these filthy lyrics!
>Bravies will be Boys... Leave with Kari but only after telling Bubu you'll be waiting with the rest of the villagers.
>It actually sounds fun! Sing along while shoveling earth.

You know what? This song isn't half bad! And if it's a Bravie Song, wouldn't it be great to sing it with Bubu so he could remember you every time he sang it?? You continued shoveling dirt with Bubu, and seeing your boldness Kari joined too! Throughout the day you worked up a sweat with Bubu and Kari, Puki and Moochy sometimes came to bring you something to drink. Although you had a lot of fun, it was apparent that you didn't put out nearly as much work as the Bravies.

Exhausted from a day of honest labor, the Bravie Elders gathered all the Bravies before dismissing them.

"Good work, lads!" said a Bravie Elder. "Maybe we should invite a Little Fairy every day, I haven't seen you lads work that hard before!" The Bravies chuckled, but even you couldn't help but feel slightly embarrassed. "I'm especially proud of Little Bubu here and his friends, he'll make a strong Bravie in due time! Bravies, you are all dismissed, if you want to hang your hammocks in the nearby village, you're welcome to do so, but that means waking up earlier to get back here on time!"

The Bravies unanimously decided to head to the nearby village, you and your friends also agreed to return to the village where your hosts welcomed you as any proper host would. With so many Bravies who were so tall, they hung their hammocks up at the village grove instead. Many of them asked Bubu to join them, wanting to share Memories of relatives fought as Bravies.

"Hnn?? That sounds cool!! Bubu, can I come??" Puki always loved a good war story.

"Yar! I wanna hear more about Bubu's popappy!"

"Whoa whoa!" said a Bravie. "Sorry Little Fairies, but tonight is for Bravies. You girls aren't even Halfies!

Not fair! You labored just as hard as the other Bravies today, they should be inviting you and Kari as well!
>You're as much as a Bravie as Bubu, insist that you, Kari, and even Puki could come!
>Concede and let Bubu spend time with the boys. Maybe he needs more guy friends...
>Fine! If they won't let you come, then maybe Bubu should come back with you!
>What does Bubu want?
