After gaining all seven Dark Dragon Balls, thanks in no small part to Karn and his family's efforts, Mechikabura prepares for his revival: the Dark King's return is nigh! And with their powers gained in the effort to combat the God of Destruction, Lord Beerus, Karn and Meloka seek to master the strength of gods in preparation for the coming final battle between the Time Breakers and the Time Patrol. However, despite the PTO now comfortably ruling the majority of the known universe, threats still lurk there in the shadows. Beings who, for their own reasons, seek revenge against the Saiyan race. Will the Saiyans prevail? Or will their efforts all be in vain, overcome by their enemies past, present, and future?

You the players control Karn, the Berserker God with the power to fight against gods and other divine beings. From his lowly beginnings as a Saiyan Brawler with a sub-3000 powerlevel in Age 733, he has now become the strongest Saiyan of his time. Wielding the Berserker Soul, a power born of rage and hatred now combined with That Which Should Not Be, Karn has gained powers suited to facing the divine, and even those who wield the powers of Order, Law, and even Time itself. But will this newfound strength be enough to overcome the threats headed your way? Only time will tell, and your choices could be the difference between victory and defeat, winning and losing, even existence and not.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

The Battle of Conton City took place with Karn, leading an army of Berserker Soul-empowered Saiyans from across time entered through a secret entrance discovered by Mechikabura. Unleashing this army upon the Time Patrol's city, Karn fought through several powerful warriors before entering the Time Nest to confront the Supreme Kai of Time, only to discover Trunks was having a wedding of his own. Crashing the party, Karn battled Trunks in his newly-acquired power beyond Super Saiyan Blue, defeating the Time Patroller once and for all. Only for Mechikabura, youth fully restored to arrive, sending Karn back to save his family from the Time Kai's assassin, none other than the Demon God Dumplin. Defeating the eldritch abomination known as Dumplin, Karn was returned to reality by Mechikabura, the Demon God using the Dark Dragon Balls to restore those of Karn's family who'd lost their lives battling the monster. And as we rejoin Karn Mechikabura has left, leaving you with your family, those living under Towa's roof, and the warrior you'd brought back along from the Time Nest, Trunks.

“So, how'd I get here?” Trunks asks you, seeming rather calm about everything.
“When I dragged you out of the Time Nest as Mechikabura confronted Chronoa, you were still alive. Guess you died here, so my wish brought you back as well.” you say, standing before the Time Patroller. Or, rather, former Patroller, as you doubt there's much if anything left of the Time Patrol anymore.
“I see.” he says, clearly wanting to sit down but second guessing that decision as he sees the state of the floor beneath his feet. “What.... Happened here?”
“Dumplin. Mechikabura was never going to attack my family, so that bastard took the Demon God's appearance and tried to pass himself off as Mechi to get me to change sides.” you tell him, Trunks nodding along. “Then when his disguise was broken I fought him in his own dimension, eventually killing him.”

You make no mention of that other Karn or what all you went through, but judging from how Trunks' expression changes, skin going pale as his eyes widen, a slight shiver going up his spine means he's been there before. For a moment you wonder why, but then focus back on what you were saying.

“He did all this to my family.” you say, gesturing around at the room as you keep your focus on the former Patroller, who looks around the room until his eyes lock onto someone.
“Ace.” Trunks says, looking past you at his former partner in the Time Patrol.
“Trunks.” Ace replies, stepping towards his former friend. Everyone seemingly turns as they can all sense the sudden tension in the air. You look back and forth between the two men, unsure of how this will play out or if you should step in.

“Good to see you made it out okay. Ish.” Ace says, holding a hand out to Trunks. Who hesitates, looking from his hand to his face and back, before accepting. The two shake, Ace nodding as a small smile comes to his face. “Seems neither of us made it out of this one alive this time.”
“Wait, Dumplin killed you too?” he asks, Future Chaya stepping forward and floating up, wrapping her arms around Ace's neck as she looks at him.
“He got everyone. Except for Daddy over there, and a couple of the little ones.” Future Chaya says, pointing at you with her head. “I thought I could take him, but his power. It was out of this world.”

“Yeah. I've seen it up close before, he's what pushed me to getting Blue.” Trunks replies, the trio talking quite casually after everything that happened. But you let them talk, turning back to the Demon God.
“So. What happens now?” you ask him, one of the most powerful beings you've ever met smirking.
“Now? Now I will consolidate my power. Chronoa may have gotten away, at least for now. But she can't hide for long.” he replies casually, the knowledge she escaped worrying. But then again, with his power so much greater than hers, no wonder he doesn't see her as much of a threat now. “I have already secured the Time Nest as well as its contents against her, should she try pulling a repeat performance. The prime scroll, as well as your own are safe.”

He then, to your shock reaches into his robe, pulling out a pair of Time Scrolls.

“I'm not letting her get her hands on these. If she proves to be... Troublesome, I may give you a call again.” he says, tucking away the scrolls as he sighs out. Almost a sound of complacency, more than exhaustion. The sound of a work well-done. “But, for now, enjoy your victory with your family. Feel free for you and everyone to return to New Salda, as the Time Patrol won't be an issue. Speaking of, I do still have some... Unfinished business. You there. Boy.”
“Wh-Me?” Trunks asks nervously, turning to face Mechikabura as the Demon God approaches him. With a hand to his chin he looks Trunks over, then nods to himself.
“Hmph. Well, you'll do for now. Come, we're leaving.” Mechikabura says, a dark void-like portal opening up behind him.

“Leaving? To where?” Trunks asks, Mechikabura giving him a predatory grin.
“To Conton City, of course. Someone has to give the Time Patrol's surrender to me. And with Chronoa fled, that leaves you in charge of their lives, Apprentice Time God.”
“Wait.” you say, Mechikabura and Trunks both turning to you as you speak up. “I have an idea.”

“Oh? And what would that be?” Mechikabura asks, you remembering back to what happened on Sanghelios when you returned.
“Lord Mechikabura. When you accept his surrender, do you think you could charge up those Dragon Balls again for another wish?” you ask him, the Demon God raising a brow curiously while both of Trunks' shoot up, no doubt getting where you're going with this. “Make reviving all their dead a part of the surrender. If you give them back what they lost, at least some of it, they will accept your rule over them far easier.”

“Heh. You'd make a fine King, General Karn.” Mechikabura tells you, giving what seems to be a genuine smile before turning back to Trunks. “Well? What are you waiting for?”
“Right!” Trunks Replies, following Mechikabura as the Demon God walks through the portal. But, before he goes through himself, Trunks turns to you and gives you a bow, raising his head to see tears forming in the corner of his eyes. “Thank you Karn. For everything.”

Then without waiting for your response he walks through, Mechikabura's portal sealing behind him. Leaving you with all of your family here, in the room where almost all of them died at the hands of the Demon God Dumplin.

I am curious to know what happened to Meloka and Towa but recovering after everything that happened sounds good. We can probably still figure out what's going on with everyone while we're there.

Looking around the room, you notice several hushed conversations, as well as Karn Jr talking excitedly to Meloka Wolbach. But the stench of death still hangs heavy in the room, despite everyone who died being revived. Except, as you look around, you notice that other Chilli you'd sensed before isn't here. You look for him but don't see him anywhere, only to notice a pile of bones with a clean skull atop them. Unlike everything else in the room, they aren't soaked in blood. In fact, in a small area around the pile there isn't any blood whatsoever, almost as if his very bones destroy the blood that would have touched them. It leaves you confused for a few moments, you shaking your head and putting it aside for later. You then call out for everyone, your family all looking over towards you.

“I think it's about time.” you say to them all, you seeing several confused expressions looking back. “Towa, if you wouldn't mind. I think we should all go.”
“Go? Karn, what are you talking about?” she asks, not understanding. “You just got here.”
“Yes, but I think we ALL should get out of here.” you reply, seeing realization dawning in her eyes. “Let's all head out, and go back to New Salda.”

“Wait, we all can go?” Milha asks, your half-demon daughter looking at you in surprise. “Really?”
“The Time Patrol are finished. We can all go to New Salda now.” you tell her, seeing a smile come to her face. Everyone's expressions light up, even Perfect Cell seems interested in this as you turn back to Towa. “So. Shall we go?”
“Of course. Everyone, please gather around Karn.” she says with a smile, your family crowding around you. She then flies above you all, creating a cylinder of rainbow-like energy around you all. Everything outside the cylinder goes dark for a moment, then when it clears you find yourself back home. Standing on the beach outside your old ship, waves washing gently up on the sand. Immediately Karn Jr grabs Meloka Wolbach by the arm, the two running down to the water and laughing as they start splashing around.

Seeing this, Maz, Kayle, and Koruza also join in, all running to the water as well. Broly simply sits down on the sand, Koriand'r sitting in his lap and laying her head against his shoulder while Milha simply looks up at the sky, shielding her eyes with a hand. Chilli, taking his robe off scoops Megumin, still holding onto their youngest Kazuburo up into his arms, carrying them both down to the water as well. Future Chaya looks around with a sad-seeming smile on her face, tears in her eyes as Ace looks to her, confused. But you get it. This was her home; one she'd lost in her own timeline. And now, after all these years she finally made it back.

“Well well. Seems you have done it, Karn.” Towa says, you turning as she lands beside you. “You did it. Now you get to have your family all in one place, just as you wanted.”
“Yeah.” you say, unsure what else to add as she presses herself to you. You hold the demon princess as suddenly her entire body begins to shake, looking down you feel wet spots on your chest where she's presumably crying against you. So you simply hold her, Meloka flying over and placing a hand on the taller woman's back sympathetically. Looking to your wife who gives you a smile, flying up and kissing you while wrapping her arms around you neck. You did it, this is what you've been fighting for for so long. You stay like that for a minute or two, holding the two women until suddenly you feel a sharp pang in your chest. “Tch!”

“Karn?” both Towa and Meloka exclaim, looking concerned as you drop down to a knee, barely catching yourself as you feel your power suddenly plummeting. Your vision begins to tunnel, sounds turning distant as if down a long, long hallway, but then the moment passes. Everything returns to normal, you opening your eyes to see Caulifla having already unstoppered one of those Divine Blessings, ready to give to you. But you raise your hand, waving it off.
“Thanks kiddo, but I'm fine. Just held onto that form for too long.” you tell her, pushing yourself back up to your feet. No longer do you tower over Towa and Meloka by quite so much, having returned to your base form when your strength plummeted. “Forgot to power down in all the excitement. That form still takes a bit out of me.”

“Are you sure?” she asks, looking worriedly at you. So you reach out, ruffling her hair instead of taking the miracle in her hand. She makes a few noises in protest, but is smiling as you keep the contact going. Clearly enjoying the attention.
“I'm sure. If something ELSE shows up wanting to fight, I might need it then.” you tell her, seeing a look of worry flash over her face. “But for now I'm just fine.”

“But what about you?” you ask her, patting her on your shoulder. “But are you okay?”
“Me? Why wouldn't I be?” she asks, looking confused. But then her eyes widen, realizing what you mean. “Oh. You mean THAT.”
“I didn't get to see what happened, only there at the end.” you tell her. “Are you okay?”
“Well, I mean.... He managed to get me, even through Triumph Requiem's armor.” she tells you, looking down. Even her Stand lowers its head, the golden bird-like creature seemingly upset it couldn't protect her. “I don't know how he did it. I thought Stands could only be hurt by other Stands.”

“His power was quite something. But it does leave one to question where Dumplin acquired the soul of Mechikabura, one who had restored his youth.” Towa replies, hand to her chin as she ponders it. “I wonder which timeline he visited, which Mechikabura he absorbed?”
“I tried my best, but I couldn't save them.” Caulifla says, sounding more disappointed. “When I tried to save Ace, Mechi-no, Dumplin got me.”

She then raises a hand to her chest, as if reliving her injury.

“So, what exactly happened?” you ask Towa sighing out. But before she can speak up, your wife does.
“When Future Chaya and that other Chilli, the one with a skeletal face were sparring, he suddenly appeared.” Meloka explains. “We all thought it was Mechikabura, as his power felt like his. But then that other Chilli attacked him, claiming it was Dumplin instead. Then he used some kind of magic, changing his form into that of the little bastard's for a few moments.”
“It was an identifier spell, one used to break illusions and reveal the true nature of things.” Towa adds in. “Useful for dealing with certain types of tricks and illusions, as well as seeing the true faces of Majin creatures like Ozotto.”

“But then Ace immediately went on the attack, powering up to his blue and red form, only to get his arm chopped off with a single backhand.” Caulifla says, your eyes widening in surprise. “I tried to help him as both Chilli, Milha, and Auntie Towa all started using magic on him. But it wasn't enough.”
“The fact he powered through everything we hit him with is still absurd.” Towa says, a hint of frustration in her voice. “But even Chaya's Apex power, your Chaya's mind domination and Broly and Maza's Primal strengths combined couldn't even slow him down. He even stopped Chilli's Death Magic like it was nothing.”

“I'm sorry I wasn't there.” you tell the three of them seriously, reaching out and hugging all three of them to you. “If I didn't waste so much time in Conton City, if I'd taken Trunks out quicker, had I checked in with you Mel sooner, then maybe-”
“No. It's not your fault.” Meloka tells you, your wife giving you a stern look. “It's only because of you that we're all back now. None of us could defeat him, even working together. If you'd have been there too, he might have killed you too. Then we'd all be dead.”
“It was thanks to that other Chilli, the one Mechikabura asked to guard us.” Towa tells you. “It is thanks to his sacrifice that we all made it through.”

“Speaking of, where is he?” you ask, Towa looking down and away, as if suddenly embarassed. Or, perhaps ashamed? “Towa?”
“He's... Not coming back.” she tells you. “Even the Dark Dragon Balls can't revive someone who's been dead as long as he has.”
“Wait, what?” you ask her, confused. “He was still alive and fighting when I showed up.”
“No, he wasn't. He was still moving and fighting, but he wasn't alive. If you want to know more specifics, you'll have to ask your son.” Towa tells you, looking over to Chilli. Where your son, having tossed his robe aside and is sitting in the water side-by-side with Megumin, the two watching their children playing with your own in the water as if nothing terrible had happened to them. “I don't know all the specifics. But, from what I understand, that curse killed him on impact. He was merely staving the effects off as long as he could, to keep fighting.”

“I see.” you reply, wishing there was something you could do to try and help him. But with Divine Dragon Force soundly asleep, out of commission for who knows how long after what you both went through, that's an issue for another day.

But what do you do now?

“Especially after he lost his own, twice.” Towa says, Meloka and Caulifla turning to her as you walk away. You walk across the sands over to your son sitting with his wife, sitting down in the water beside the two of them.

“Thank you, Karn.” Megumin says, her eyes still closed as you sit down beside your son. “Our children need their father.”
“Of course. I wasn't going to let that bastard get away with hurting us.” you reply to her, looking at the kids playing all playing together in the water. The sea washing off the remaining blood of your grandchildren's clothes as they play. “We've all worked too hard to let him get away with ruining the lives we have all built.”
“I don't know what you went through, Dad. What hell you endured to defeat that monster. But, thank you.”

“No need to thank me. If it wasn't for that other you, I might not have been able to defeat him.” you tell your son, whose expression immediately changes. He glares out over the ocean, clearly not seeing his family but something, somewhere else. “But the Dark Dragon Balls couldn't revive him. Do you know why?”
“Because of Jergal's Curse.” your son tells you. “He betrayed Lord Jergal, in his timeline. That power is supposed to kill you instantly, but he was able to resist it. However, the moment it hit, he did die. He's been dead for a long time.”
“Can we bring him back?” you ask, your son looking to you and shaking his head. “Not even with Divine Dragon Force?”

“With your Stand? Hrmm, maybe.” your son says, thinking it over. “But even if we bring him back, the curse won't go away.”
“Wait, really?” you ask him, eyes going wide. “Even with my Stand's power?”
“Jergal's Curse is irrevocable. Even across time.” your son says, shaking his head slowly. “He gave me a warning of how it works, a few years ago when we met before. Even if he were to be brought back to life, through whatever means, it will continuously keep killing him. Sadly, he's gone for good.”

“I see.” you reply, feeling sad for that son of yours from another time. One you'll now never get the chance to know.

The three of you sit together in a moment of silence, looking out over the sea as the kids continue to play. But then Meloka Wolbach, turning and seeing you, runs over shouting while holding something in her hand, “Grandpa!!”

“Hey there kiddo.” you say, catching her as she jumps at your chest. She tries to stretch her arms as far as they go across your shoulders, causing you to chuckle. She then looks up at you with happy eyes, her school uniform completely soaked from the water. “Whatcha got there?”
“I found a seashell!” she exclaims, holding up a shell larger than her own fist. “Loot at it, its huge!”
“You found a good one.” you tell her, your granddaughter grinning again before wiggling to get free, you letting her go as she flies over to her mother.

“Here you go Momma!” she says, offering it to Megumin with both hands. “For you!”
“Thank you very much.” your son's wife says, accepting it as she smiles back at her daughter. Who then turns to Chilli.
“I'll be right back! Gotta find another good one for you!” she says, flying back over to the water and landing in a splash. Your son chuckles at this, you seeing him and his wife watching their daughter and son having fun and decide to leave them to their moment.
“Feel free to stay as long as you want.” you tell them both, pushing yourself up to your feet with a grunt. Only to hear your daughter from another timeline suddenly shouting at Ace.

“After all of this, you want to go BACK?!” she shouts in his face, clearly agitated. “Why? Isn't THIS what we've been working so hard for all this time? Why would you ever want to leave?!”
“Oh hell.” you mutter, wondering if you're going to have to get involved to keep them from coming to blows.

“That's ENOUGH!!” you roar, the entire island going silent. Even the very waves washing ashore go quite, everyone looking to you as you glare at Future Chaya and Ace. “No more fighting. Not today. Keep it civil you two, or else. Got it?”
“But-!” Future Chaya starts, her words dying in her throat as you glare at her. She stands defiant for a moment, still fueled by the argument, but seeing your expression she quickly gives in, hanging her head. “I-I'm sorry.”
“Keep it civil. If you can't, save it for another day.” you tell her, then sigh out. “We've had enough fighting today, let's not fight ourselves.”

She raises her head as you say this, her expression changing. Not to anger or outrage, but one that looks almost sad. Almost as if you yelling at her reminded her of something, an exchange she had not with you but another Karn. Her father she grew up with, for the time she had him. But then Ace walks up to her, putting his hand on her right shoulder and saying something too low for you to hear. She turns to him, nodding and giving him a small, appreciative smile. You aren't sure what he said, or how she answered him, but it seems they're done with that for now. So, you turn your attention from them, focusing on the older twins Tatsu and Tomi. You still have kids to check on after all this, a burning question in your mind. They see you coming, you seeing them holding both of each other's hands as they sit, having been facing each other before.

“Hey, you tw-three okay?” you ask, kneeling down by the twins. You reach out, placing a hand on Tomi's right shoulder, your right on Tatsu's left as you look back and forth between them.
“I-I'm fine.” Tomi says, clearly lying but trying to put on a brave face.
“Come on Tomi, no you're not.” Tatsu says, then his voice changes as both look at each other, speaking in perfect sync once more for a few words. “Something's wrong. With us, me. I'm not....”

You stay there silently as Tomitsu suddenly stops talking, looking back and forth between them as their faces are no longer in perfect sync but moving differently. Almost opposite of each other's. You've never seen them this out-of-sync since they were toddlers, something clearly happened.

“What happened?” you ask, voice even softer as you look from one to the other, worry rising in your chest. “Tell me what happened.”
“When that bastard Mech-no, Dumplin. When he attacked us, we were trying to fuse.” Tatsu says, a note of anger in his voice as he speaks. “We were in perfect sync too, one more movement away from fusing fully. But, right as we moved....”

He's unable to finish the sentence, you seeing his hands, despite both being held, starting to shake.

“He shot Tatsu. Right through the head.” Tomi says, tears in her eyes as she relives the moment. “I... I felt... I felt Tatsu die. I felt his soul leave me. Our connection disappeared, Tomitsu vanishing from my mind too. I-I was all alone. Is this what everyone else feels? This loneliness, all the time? How does anyone live like this?”
“I felt the same way. Last thing I remember was us trying to fuse, and then... I was on that weird road on yellow clouds before a castle.” Tatsu says, the twins both looking to each other. “I lost you, and I didn't know what was going on. I was so scared.”
“I'm so sorry you both went through this.” you say, reaching out and hugging your twins to you. “I wish I could have done something to save you.”

“It's not your fault Daddy. I know you would have died yourself if it would have saved us.” Tomi says, your daughter burying her face in your chest as she cries. Both her and Tatsu cry as you hold them, you holding the two to you as they do. It takes them several minutes to calm down, you letting them go a bit as they finally calm down. “But what do we do now? Our minds aren't linking up like we could before.”
“I can barely feel her. Even now.” Tatsu says, both of them sounding rather upset at this. Then they both try and talk in sync once more. But they don't even make it a full sentence.
“Even when we hold hands like this, our connection isn't-” Tomitsu says, but then their minds clearly disconnect.

“Perfect.” Tatsu says.
“Stable.” Tomi says, the two then looking to each other as they say different words. “What do we do?”

Do? Well, do you have any advice for them?
>Tell them that some time not fully in sync might be good for them, to let them both develop as unique individuals before trying to reestablish that mental link
>Say that their old connection they built up is gone, if they want it back they'll have to remake it. To keep their minds connected as much as possible to rebuild that connection, the way they did the first time

“I know that you two have had this link since you were both young. But, maybe, this could be good for you.” you tell them, the twins looking up at you in confusion. “Since the day you were born, you both have had that continuous mental link, taking it for granted. Some time without it, learning how to function independently of each other could be good for you.”
“How? How is that good?” Tomi asks, chin quivering as she's clearly on the brink of tears once again. “It feels so weird now without Tatsu and Tomitsu.”
“I know it does. I can't imagine how lonely you must feel.” you tell her. “But what happens if some bad guy separates you both? If they use magic or something to sever your link, to cut you off from each other? What would you do?”

“I, uhh... Well...” she says, stammering over her words as she struggles to put her thoughts together. Clearly, she's not used to thinking over her words by herself, the loneliness of her mind clearly undermining her confidence. Not having them 'backing' her in her mind. But then Tatsu reaches over, putting his hand on her shoulder. She looks over, confused, but seeing him nod nods back, then takes a deep breath. “I don't know. But I'd do whatever I could to get Tatsu back.”
“That's a good answer.” you tell her, giving her a small nod. “If you both want my opinion, I think you're too reliant on that link. It is good to be special, to have something to call your own, but it shouldn't be at the cost of making yourselves weaker without it. I'd double check with Raven, to see if she thinks anything bad could happened to Tomitsu in the meantime as I'm no expert in souls, or other consciousnesses or anything like that. I'm really good at fighting, but not things like this. And when you don't know something, and you have the chance, you should always-”

“Ask someone who does!” they both reply, once more in sync. Not perfectly, just both repeating the words together. Causing them both to look to each other and smile, Tomi giggling a bit.
“Exactly. When it's not an emergency, it is always best to ask someone who knows. Or, at least knows more than you.” you reply, ruffling both of their hair before letting them go, standing back up to your full height. “I'm sure you both will be just fine, in time. This was an injury, just like any other. In time, I'm sure you both will heal up stronger than ever.”
“Hey, let's go ask her now.” Tatsu suggests, Tomi nodding as the two take off. Even their liftoffs aren't in perfect sync any more, leaving you wondering how they'll turn out from here. But, before you can ponder it for long, you sense several strong powerlevels rapidly approaching your home.

Turning towards the mainland, you recognize King Vegeta's Primal power immediately, as well as Bardock's. Not to mention Leyas and Sarada's Primal Demon powers as the four of them blitz towards your home. A second later they appear, all four coming to a stop by you in the air. Noticeably, between you and Ace's ki.

“So, this explains these unexpected powerlevels.” King Vegeta says, turning to you with a worried expression. “Is everything okay?”
“Ah, King Vegeta. Perfect timing.” you say, walking over to Towa and Maza, your eldest-born half demon having transformed as well as he sensed their approach. “It's over. We won't have any more trouble with the Time Patrol. So, starting from today, they'll be living here with us as well.”
“Wait, really?” Maza asks, turning to you questioningly as you see the twins eyes shoot wide open in surprise. Even King Vegeta seems taken aback at this news, clearly not expecting it.
“Hold on. You mean to tell me that this war you've had going with the Time Patrol is finished?” King Vegeta asks, sounding astonished.

“Yeah. It's over.” you tell him, Leyas and Sarada flying over to Maza and immediately start questioning him about his form. You let him go, turning to Towa. “That is, if you all want to live here of course.”
“I'd love to.” she says without hesitation, your instincts suddenly warning you that something's watching you. But you'd recognize Meloka's gaze anywhere. “It's been a long time coming.”
“I... See.” he says after a moment's thought, then turns his gaze to Towa as well. “Princess Towa, you are of course welcome to stay on our world as long as you wish, even to take up residency here indefinitely.”

“Thank you, King Vegeta. But please, just Towa will do.” she replies to him. “The title of princess means little compared to what I have now.”
“I understand.” he says, looking over the island and at your family, all in one place. “But do feel free to stop by the research center sometime, I'm sure Daiko'd appreciate your expertise. Especially with those monsters he's been crafting.”
“I'll be sure to stop by.” Towa replies, Vegeta nodding to her before turning his gaze back to you.
“Karn. We need to talk.” he tells you, expression changing to a far more serious one. “We've got a problem.”

“What's going on?” you ask him, switching from conversation to telepathic communication seamlessly. “Is this the reason you're transformed?”
“No, I had transformed because I didn't recognize Ace, Maza, and the others. And I was expecting some kind of trouble.” he replies, also telepathically while also frowning a bit. “But Freeza's gone.”
“Gone? What happened?” you ask him, immediately worried. “What do you mean, gone?”

“He told me that, right after you left that King Cold had called him home. Along with his brother.” King Vegeta thinks, you feeling your eyes widening in shock. “Some sort of emergency meeting. And just before you and your family all reappeared gathered here, he had just told me why he was summoned: planets have been disappearing.”
“Wait, WHAT?!” you exclaim aloud, shocked by what he just told you. After a moment you regain your composure, resuming your telepathy. “What does he mean, planets have been disappearing?”
“I don't know, he said he'll have to meet with us once their business is concluded and they have a plan of action.” Vegeta thinks to you. “Whenever that is. But I figured you should know at least, as he wanted you to know but couldn't reach you a few minutes ago.”

“I see.” you reply, wondering how long you were gone from your own timeline? Looking around, you see the sun is far closer to the horizon than it should be, did something happen to Towa's Lab's timeline relative to your own?
“According to him, Arctus has been tracking the entire universe, trying to hunt down that dimension-traveling monster Darkseid.” King Vegeta continues. “Tracking its path of destruction, trying to find any sort of pattern to his attacks so his targets can be predicted and planets evacuated, or a defense readied before the planet is already under siege. But then he started noticing planets simply disappearing. So far two planets have simply vanished, each time all the planet's inhabitants die near-simultaneously, then the planet itself has disappeared by the time anyone gets close enough to check.”

“But what in the would could do that?” you mutter to yourself, hand to your chin as you ponder. “And why? Who steals a planet?”

“That's not the worst of it.” King Vegeta continues. “Whoever is doing this is not acting on Lord Beerus' orders. King Cold checked with the Destroyer personally, neither of those planets should have been destroyed. At least not for another thirty thousand years, at the earliest. Whatever is doing this, it can't be good.”
“This is definitely trouble.” you say to him aloud, King Vegeta nodding when suddenly, from the corner of your eye you see both Meloka and Ace's gazes shoot skyward. “Huh? What's going on?”
“He's coming.” she says, rising up to her feet from where she'd been sitting with Ace and Future Chaya, clearly mediating between them. Your alternate timeline daughter looks between Meloka and Ace, confused by their sudden action.

“Who is coming?” she asks, when a pillar of rainbow-like energy crashes down into the center of your island. You all recoil away from the energy, it fading a moment later to reveal a familiar face.
“Ah, there you are, Meloka.” the Destroyer's attendant Whis says, you seeing Towa's expression turn wary at the sight of him. Then with a yawn Beerus steps out around him, standing before his attendant with all eyes on him. The God of Destruction has once again returned to New Salda.

“Hrmm, there are quite a few unfamiliar faces here. So, is this why you left us so suddenly?” Beerus asks Meloka, raising a brow slightly. “Or did you simply want to show disrespect by disappearing on me mid-sentence?”
“Hey, you'd better be nicer to my Momma!” Future Chaya says, standing up already annoyed at him. “Don't you talk to her like that!”
“And just who are you supposed to be?” he asks her, sounding annoyed at her outburst. But she doesn't back down, clenching her fists and immediately ascending into her Primal form.

“I'm Chaya! Daughter of Karn and Meloka, and the Apex of Saiyan power!” she boldly declares, the God of Destruction raising a brow at this.
“The apex, huh? If you're as strong as a Saiyan can get, then perhaps you're wasting your time, Whis.” Beerus replies, but then seemingly remembers something. He looks from Future Chaya, who seems even more annoyed at how unimpressed Beerus seems with her to your Chaya and back, then turns to Meloka questioningly. “Hold on. Isn't that one named Chaya? Their ki even feel identical. What's going on?”
“I'm not from here, but from a whole other timeline!” she declares boldly, both the Destroyer and Attendant's eyes widening in surprise at this. Beerus looks to Whis, whispering something to him you can't hear before addressing her directly.

“Well, if what you claim's true, you might not want to say that so loudly.” Beerus tells her. “You do know messing with time is a grave sin, right?”
“So? Now that the Time Patrol and that stupid pink bitch are finished, they can't stop me.” Chaya replies, Beerus' expression immediately getting very serious. You can see the anger in his eyes as he stares your daughter down, but she doesn't back off. Instead, she clenches her fists, smirking at him. “And neither can you! HAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

And with a roar Chaya powers up and transforms, taking on her Apex form once more. Stars twinkle in her golden aura as she crosses her arms, looking down on the God of Destruction as she flexes her true power.

“Now that she's out of the way, I can live here with my Daddy and Momma, the life that was robbed from me all those years ago by her and those Time Patrol bastards.” she says, Beerus seemingly more interested in this power of hers than in what she's saying, looking her up and down as she talks. “But if you want to try and stop me, then bring it on. You won't be the first Beerus I've taken down.”
“Ohh? Well now, confident, aren't we?” Beerus asks, ears perking up at that last sentence. You watch as his sickening aura of Destruction begins to flare up around him. Erasing the sand beneath his feet wherever it touches, quickly making a small crater beneath him and leaving the Destroyer levitating. “Perhaps I should teach you a lesson in humility?”

This is quickly going sideways. While you're curious how Chaya's Apex power stacks up against the Destroyer's own might, him possessing the power to erase her body and soul is quite worrying. You didn't go through everything you went through today just for her to get erased from existence by an angry god day one.

But what can you do? What will you do?
>Tell Chaya to stand down and apologize to him, you already told her once that there's been enough fighting today
>Apologize on her behalf to Beerus yourself, while shooting her a look and telepathic warning to stop antagonizing the Destroyer
>Step between them and explain to Beerus what happened, how Mechikabura took Chronoa down and that your entire family can now live in your timeline with you since you helped him
>Telepathically tell Chaya to stand down and apologize to him, don't openly chastise her where others can hear but don't let her keep antagonizing the Destroyer

“Raven, mind helping us out?” you ask the Guardian of New Salda telepathically. “Mind making a portal over here to Raxus Prime? Don't want Chaya and Beerus destroying the planet.”
“Of course, Karn. One moment.” she replies, one of her portals appearing beside you as you step forward.
“Hold on, let's not do this here. If you two want to spar, please take it off-world.” you say to Beerus and Future Chaya, gesturing to Raven as you hear her create another portal.

“Ehehe, right, sorry.” Future Chaya says to you, rubbing the back of her head with her right hand in embarrassment a moment before turning back to the Destroyer. “Come on, let's go there where we can really cut loose!”
“Well, it's your funeral.” Beerus says lazily, lacing his fingers together and stretching both arms up. But that's when you realize that he's actually stretching before a fight, something he didn't do against either you or Meloka when you unleashed your Super Saiyan God and Berserker God powers against him. Seems he can tell she's on a whole different level than either of you.
“I'm going too.” Ace says, then with a sideways glance to you adds telepathically. “Someone needs to make sure she doesn't go too far. Or that Beerus doesn't kill her.”

“I'm in, future me vs Beerus will be a good fight.” Chaya says, following Ace through the portal. Quickly most everyone else also goes, Chilli electing to stay behind with his family as well as Okira, as she and Meloka Wolbach are sifting their fingers through the sands and trying to find other seashells. Even Towa seems interested, walking just ahead of you and Meloka before the portal closes behind you. Leaving you all back on the junk world of Raxus Prime. The planet, which had once been covered in refuse and rusting, abandoned junk has been slightly altered, as where the portal opens up to is a large, shallow crater from your battle with Lobo all those years ago. You and your family all stand off to the side, waiting to see how this fight will go. Whis stands slightly off to the side by himself, seemingly bored as your daughter stares the God of Destruction down.

“Let's keep this civil you two. And please try not to destroy the planet.” you call out to both of them, Chaya's tail flicking in acknowledgment as Beerus simply stands there, hands behind his back as he stands there calmly. “Ready? And begin!”

And with your declaration, suddenly a massive shock wave nearly knocks you on your ass. The force of the impact from Chaya's fist striking Beerus' open palm staggered you back a step, your children all shouting in surprise as they transform to better withstand the force of the battle. Even Meloka and Towa transform into their divine states, Super Saiyan God and Demon God standing side-by-side as 'their' daughter fights a god.

“Hmm, not bad. Your power is far greater than those other Saiyans.” Beerus says, complimenting Chaya's strength. “But it's still not a match for me.”

A shock wave then blasts out from the Destroyer, knocking Chaya back. She flips once, landing in a slide on all fours before rocketing back at him. But right as the shock waves are about to hit you all again, suddenly there's a faintly-shimmering dome of energy around you all, the waves rolling off it instead of buffeting you all.

“Thanks Whis.” Meloka tells the angel, who doesn't respond verbally and only gives a shallow nod, eyes transfixed on the fight. Which, in your current state, you can't keep up with. With your powers drained, you can only hear the impacts booming throughout the air, watching as Towa, Meloka, Whis, and Ace clearly see the fight. Meanwhile, the rest of you are somewhat lost, only catching glimpses of the combat when the two hold place for a moment trading countless blows. At times it appears as if there are dozens of each of them at once, their bodies moving far too fast for you to keep up with. At one point, for a second they keep phasing in and out of the same spot, seemingly striking afterimages of each other. However, on the final hit, you see the Destroyer make solid contact, left fist crashing against Future Chaya's jaw and sending her crashing to the ground. She hits with so much force it feels like an earthquake, you dropping to a knee to keep from falling over entirely.

“Daddy!” Caulifla exclaims as you drop, everyone except Whis turning towards you as you drop.
“I'm okay, I'm okay. Just can't keep my balance with all this going on.” you say, giving Caulifla a smile. “Appreciate you looking out for me kiddo, but I'm okay. I'm not hurt, just exhausted. I can't even keep up with their fight.”

At hearing this Whis turns, giving you a side-eye as he looks you over in silence for a moment.

“Ah, I see. Yes, fighting that would prove tiring for even a Destroyer, I'd imagine.” he tells you, leaving you wondering how in the hell an attendant could know what you've been through today. But, before you can question it further, Future Chaya rises up from the newly-made crater, tilting her head to pop her neck audibly.
“Well, that was a pretty good warm up.” Future Chaya says, rolling her right shoulder once, twice, three times before taking her fighting stance. “Guess you're ready to stop playing around and start taking this a bit more serious, huh?”

“Serious? No. But this is at least entertaining.” Beerus replies casually, your future daughter's tail twitching in annoyance. I wonder how long you can continue to entertain me once I start trying?”

Then, to your shock his power seemingly explodes. His aura grows massive, nearly filling the entire crater as Future Chaya blazes her own, the two staring each other down. Looks like she's not backing down.

But what about you? What do you do?

“Mel, I've got an idea.” you think to your wife, Meloka turning from the fight to you curiously. “Let me try and see through your eyes. Think what you're seeing to me, and I'll see if I can actually keep up that way.”

“Huh, I guess we can try.” she replies as another colossal shock wave slams into Whis's shield. Your wife turns her attention to the battle, you closing your eyes and focusing on the sensations your wife sends to you. Through her perspective you try and watch the battle, but immediately realize that there's a problem with this idea: you still can't keep up! Even through your wife's perspective, the battle is still moving just as fast. The information is too much for your brain to keep up with, images flashing rapid-fire through your mind far faster than you can even process, much less understand what you're looking at.

“Dammit, sorry hun but this isn't working.” you think to your wife, who turns back to you once again, frowning, but before either of you can say anything there's another massive shock wave.
“HAAAAAA!!” Chaya bellows, seemingly landing a hit this time as she's the one left in the air, Beerus landing on the ground hard enough to kick up a wall of dust. Again Whis's shield protects your children and you from being blown away, you turning your gaze to the cloud as it quickly fades, revealing Beerus rising up to his feet. “Hehehe. If you keep playing around, I'm going to make the next one hurt.”
“You shouldn't underestimate me, child. I haven't even begun to get serious yet.” Beerus replies, then he simply vanishes. You blink a couple times, wondering what happened when suddenly there's another massive crashing sound, another cloud of dust washing over the shield. Then the dust is blown away, Chaya floating before you all and blowing the cloud away as she powers up. You watch as she wipes her mouth with the back of her right hand, you seeing a bit of blood on her glove as she looks up at Beerus.

“Now THAT's more like it!” she declares, tail wagging as she powers up even further, kicking off the ground back at the Destroyer. And you're immediately lost again, unable to keep up with the intense battle raging overhead. That is, until both fighters are knocked back from each other, you sensing Future Chaya's power spiking. You watch as her golden light grows brigher and brighter, then unleashes her power. “FINAL FLASH!!”

You watch as she unleashes the single strongest Final Flash you've ever seen, Beerus and his purple Destruction aura disappearing inside her massive blast. But you know he won't die, not from something like this. Which is confirmed a moment later, his voice reverberating through the very air as he speaks.

“HAKAI.”

You all watch as, from within the depths of her attack his Destruction energy begins expanding, forming a Barrier-like sphere around him that destroys her attack on contact. His sphere of power grows larger and larger, erasing a huge chunk of Chaya's beam that comes into contact with it. And, seeing this she ends the beam, Beerus ending the sphere but not letting that sickening aura fade from him entirely. His energy of destruction outlines his figure as he faces down your daughter, Future Chaya firing another beam of ki from her finger at his chest. But that attack is destroyed as well, turning into little motes of light that disappear behind him as Beerus crosses his arms.

“Did you seriously think that THAT would work?” the Destroyer asks as he starts drifting towards her menacingly. “Now I'll show you the difference, what it means to be a God of Destruction. Hakai.”

Beerus raises his right hand, creating a ball of destruction the size of your transformed fist, firing it right at Future Chaya. Who powers up even further, aura blazing bright as she tries to CATCH the orb of erasing energy.

“What?!” you exclaim, worried for your daughter's safety. She doesn't back down, throwing both hands forward and stopping the orb in place. But only for a moment, it then sliding up her body, expanding and seemingly fully engulfing her. “CHAYA!!”
“GYAAAAAAAAH!!” she exclaims, seemingly screaming in pain as she is consumed by the orb. But then she stops screaming, you all watching in shock as she starts condensing that orb of power! “HAAAAAAAA!!”
“Ohh?” Whis says, sounding genuinely surprised while you all watch, Chaya fighting that orb of Destruction and condensing it back down into the size of your fist after a minute or so of struggling, leaving her panting a bit in exhaustion as she holds the contained energy orb in one hand. “Well now, this is quite the surprise.”

“Well well, isn't this a surprise.” Beerus says as Future Chaya holds the orb, chest heaving a bit as she clearly had to strain to pull that off. “Now, let's see if you can do it again.”
“Wha-?!” Future Chaya exclaims as the orb once again expands, fully enveloping your alternate timeline daughter. Shit, this is bad! “KYAAAAAAAAAAAH!!”
“You think you can play with the energy of Destruction? Allow me to show you the folly of your ways.” Beerus exclaims, creating an even more massive orb of that energy overhead. However, as he throws it, something unexpected happens. You watch as a silver streak blazes through the sky, striking Beerus' orb and knocking it way off course. You watch as the giant orb is knocked into space, the streak shrinking down into the form of a man. That of the only other warrior here on Future Chaya's level.

“What?!” Beerus exclaims, watching as the silver light stands before him. He then makes a gesture, drawing his Hakai off Chaya to strike Ace in the back. But the instant before it touches him he simply moves, seemingly sliding around the orb as it tries to strike him. Beerus, his attack failing catches and reabsorbs that Hakai, looking at the warrior before him in shock. The light enveloping the former Time Patroller begins to flake off his body, revealing Ace has ascended to a form you remember fighting the other Time Patrollers wielding: Ultra Instinct. “This power, that glow! You-You're-!”

“That's enough.” Ace says, glaring at the God of Destruction as his divine aura blazes. Obscenely powerful, so strong that even you can sense it but also frighteningly calm. Like an entire ocean calm and smooth as glass, the former Patroller stands before Beerus unbowed. Only for Whis, who up until a moment before had been standing by you and Meloka is suddenly floating between Beerus and Ace, not directly between them but looking curiously at the former Patroller.

“That form, this power. And for a mere mortal to achieve it! Most impressive, warrior. What is your name?”
“Ace.” he replies, taking his eyes off Beerus and turning to the attendant. “I learned how to do this from you.”
“I see.” he replies, backing off a bit with a hand to his chin, reapprasing Ace as he stands between Beerus and Future Chaya. Only for her to grab him by the shoulder, shoving him aside a bit to turn him to face her.

“Hey, this was my fight! Don't go getting involved!” she shouts, voice raising as it had when they'd fought on the island earlier. “You don't even want to be here, so fuck off!”
“I was saving your life.” he replies, his calm demeanor starting to crack as Future Chaya gets in his face. “You're welcome.”
“You're welcome? WELCOME?!” she exclaims, aura flaring with her outrage. “Oh, I'll show YOU welcome!”

As the two get more heated, you see Beerus and Whis exchanging a confused look. If something doesn't stop them, you can tell the two of them are going to come to blows.

But what do you do?
>Fly up and get between them, tell them both that you've had enough and they're going to stop fighting. Now

“Dammit.” you mutter as your alternate timeline daughter keeps shouting at Ace, who you see start to clench his fists. Realizing what's about to happen you telepathically reach out to Lord Beerus, addressing him directly. “I'm sorry about them. They have been fighting ever since we got back home, not sure why.”

The Destroyer turns, looking down at you before descending, leaving Ace and Chaya shouting back and forth, although you can't hear about what as Beerus lands before you, still on the ground.

“Oh, it's quite alright. I think a more interesting show is about to begin anyways.” Beerus says, a gleam in his eye. “Hey, Whis. Did you happen to bring a lunch with you, when we left?”
“I apologize, Lord Beerus, but we left in quite a hurry.” the attendant replies, bowing slightly to the Destroyer. “I didn't have time to prepare a snack.”
“Pity. Oh well, guess we'll have to simply enjoy the show.” he says, reclining back while floating in the air, hands behind his head watching the two continue to argue. And, as you'd suspected, Chaya is the first one to throw a punch. One second they're shouting, the next she's flown more than a dozen yards past Ace, who is standing as he was but now with his right arm extended horizontally. Chaya, frozen in midair is suddenly seeming assaulted by dozens upon dozens of blows, sending her crashing straight down into the crater as Ace turns. He looks down, the silver gleam in his eyes visible even from here as your daughter lands on all fours.

“GRRRR! Son of a BITCH!” she snarls, kicking back up into the air after him. And if you thought you couldn't follow the fight before, now it is even harder to track. You can't follow their movements at all, Ace seemingly standing still in the air while his arms move too fast to be seen, Future Chaya a blur as she tries attacking him from all sides.
“So, this is Ultra Instinct.” Meloka says, seemingly to herself but you know her better than that. She's fishing for information. “Is this what you've been trying to guide me towards?”
“Yes. The power to attack and react without thought, your body moving on its own in response to danger.” Beerus' attendant Whis says as he watches the Saiyan above gods battles the strongest mortal, his shield reactivated to protect you all from the shocks of the fight. Yet as your daughter attacks Ace, you don't hear the usual cacophony of booms, the deafening clashes of fist on fist, hands and shins striking guards that you'd expect. Instead, as the fight continues, you notice that Chaya's attacks aren't landing. Just like that Goku you'd fought before, Ace is moving perfectly to avoid Future Chaya's blows. But she doesn't have that same luxury, forced to block or eat every strike he throws back at her. “For a mortal, he is quite adept at wielding this power.”

“I wonder how long he's spent mastering it?” Beerus mutters, watching casually as the two most powerful beings in this reality who don't belong continue to fight. Until Ace suddenly catches Chaya's heavy right with his left, stopping her in place.
“Come on Chaya, can we not?” he asks her, sounding more exasperated than angry at this point as he then catches her left as well in his right. “We can talk about this later.”
“LIKE HELL!” she snarls, switching up her tactics and pulling Ace in, slamming her forehead into his nose. But her follow-up right is avoided as well, Ace spinning past her in a move reminiscent of the Su Ma, only to strike her in the temple with his left fist, sending her crashing down to the ground once more. Your view of the battlefield is completely obscured for several seconds, you wondering what's happening when you suddenly feel her already astronomical power suddenly explode even higher. “KAIO-KEEEEEEN!!”

With that roar the dust is blown away, her aura dyeing the very air red. But she doesn't immediately go back on the attack, instead shouting up at Ace, tears streaking down her face.

“I won't let you!” she declares, voice cracking as her emotions pour out of her voice. “If you really wanna abandon me for those Time Patrol bastards, you're gonna have to kill me first! I'm not gonna let you go!”
“Huh?” you wonder, looking up to Ace, wondering what she's talking about. Only to see his steely gaze directed down at your daughter, eyes hardened and showing no signs of stopping. To which your alternate timeline daughter grits her teeth, exploding off the ground up at him once more. And as the two continue to clash, you wonder what exactly it is they've been arguing over. Surely Ace isn't thinking of leaving her, and rejoining the Time Patrol? Right?

Nah. I really don't want to play this MC as a brawler type. I think Karn should be an unorthodox trickster type. Maybe he can even pick up magic later.

A brawler would just be boring; what's he gonna do, punch people really hard and shrug off their punches? Yawn. No possibility of interesting techniques.

To the patrons, you guys are going to get a sneak peek at how Milha thinks and acts before we get there in the story proper. But everyone else, well… You guys will be in for a ride once she’s unleashed on an unsuspecting New Salda. I feel kinda bad for whichever boy or girl catches her eye, because, well…. Pic somewhat related, if you know you know.

All I can say for the anime is the va is doing an excellent job for her first big role. Kind of surprising how much development the characters get in the manga, although I think I already know how the story’s going to play out. There’s a reason we have splash art in vol 1 of Utena’s magical girl form after all.

But in other news, patrons are going to be eating at the end of the month. Our boy @Vincentgraphart is absolutely cooking with this Milha piece. Which each and every one of you can join for a single dollar a month, get to vote on comms as well as unique side stories. Like how Milha discovered that new power she was using right before Dumplin attacked.

When Towa was recruiting time breakers, she asked Karn "Would you be able to defeat the time patrol?"
Karn replied "Well, if they abused their senzu beans, they might give me a little trouble."
"But would you lose?"
"Nah, I'd win."

As Karn approached Trunks, Trunks asked "Are you Karn because you're the angriest, or are you the angriest because you're Karn?"
At that moment, Trunks unleashed his ultimate technique, Domain Expansion: Party Crasher. This powerful attack began to ruin several birthday parties, but Karn was able to nullify it by crushing Trunks skull an infinite number of times, even turning his Domain Expansion back on him to crash the only party that ever mattered to Trunks.

"Stand proud." Said Karn. "You are strong. But when it comes to fighting for your family, throughout all space and time, I alone am the Just one."

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 211 Intermission-

AGE 757, NEW SALDA

“What a day.” your wife says, the two of you sitting in the shallows of the beach, letting the waves wash over your lower halves while you relax, watching your kids playing in the water. While they're searching for seashells your wife leans her head on your shoulder, your left arm around her shoulders and holding her to you. Absently, you wonder how your alternate timeline sister's battle with Beerus the Destroyer is going.

You are Chilli, a man with many titles, but one of your most important is that of father to your young children, Meloka Wolbach and Kazuburo. But, today, you nearly lost them. While you all waited in Towa's Realm for your father, leading an army infused with his god-defying power to topple the Time Patrol, you all were attacked by a monstrous being. Wearing Mechikabura's face, the Demon God Dumplin attacked, slaughtering your brothers and sisters. You'd tried your best, unleashing the strongest attacks you had, only for that bastard to simply absorb your Death Magic then rip your arms off, kicking you into a wall. Where you'd watched, helpless as your kids clung to you crying. And as you passed between the veil separating the world of the living from that of the dead, you could have sworn you'd heard familiar, haunting laughter.

But your death didn't stick, as you father managed to defeat that monster. And with the real Mechikabura's help, revived all of you. Except for that other you, the one you'd met a few times over the years. One who lost everything else, even his own family only to give his life so your father could save yours. With the Death Curse his timeline's Jergal put on him, now that he's been sent to the afterlife there is no return, his soul forever trapped in the realm of the dead. Leaving you pondering if you'd have the strength to do the same, to give up everything to save another version of you, your wife, and the kids.

“Chilli? Chilli?” Megumin asks, you blinking a few times to stop spacing out and turn, looking down as your wife looks up at you. Immediately you see the worry in her eyes, no doubt seeing how hard you're pondering. “Is everything okay?”
“Yeah, yeah I'm fine.” you tell her, carefully squeezing her a bit tighter to you a moment to reassure her. “It's just... What that other me did. I don't know if I'd have the strength to do the same. To give up everything, just to save another version of me's family.”
“Well, luckily that's not something you've got to worry about.” she tells you with a soft smile, reaching up and cupping your right cheek with her left hand. “The war of time is over, right? That means we don't have to deal with other times anymore. All you have to worry about is THIS timeline, and your family here. Which is what I'm sure that other you would want you to do too.”

“I know you too well. You wouldn't want someone you went through all the effort to save, even if it cost you your, life to mourn your death.” she continues with a smile. “You'd want them to live their life happily, remembering what you did but not feeling sorry for you.”
“Heh, you know me too well.” you reply, leaning in for a kiss with your wife. Who reciprocates hungrily, Megumin wrapping her arms around your neck and pushing you down onto the sand. Where the two of you remain for a few moments, your wife coming up for air with a hungry look in her eyes. But as she does, you both hear your children splashing closer, you propping yourself up on your elbows as she looks over her shoulder, Kazuburo holding a giant seashell over his head.

“Mom, Dad look!” Meloka Wolbach shouts excitedly. “Look what Kazuburo found!”
“I see that. Wow, well done.” your wife says as he runs up, holding out the massive conch shell. It's easily the size of your torso, but what they couldn't sense is there's still a being living in the shell. One that, as your wife starts to reach out, suddenly lunges out of as well. You react instantly, grabbing the beast by both its pincers and stopping it from clamping onto her. “Woah!”
“Looks like this shell's still occupied.” you say, holding onto the beast. As your son screams out, he drops the shell, you catching it telekinetically as he runs back towards his sister, screaming about 'seashell monsters'. But, after a moment's consideration decide against killing the thing, instead slowly releasing the beast's claws. Immediately the crustacean retreats back into the shell, no doubt scared for it's life. So you gently take the shell in both hands, standing up and wading a bit further out into the water before setting it down in the sand. You back away, the creature immediately scuttling off towards the deeper water.

“You let it go?” Why? It tried to attack Mom!” Meloka Wolbach asks as she runs up to you, you turning to see your daughter frowning in confusion. To which you laugh a little, kneeling down and placing a hand on her shoulder.
“Yes. Because it was scared.” you tell her, your daughter's expression growing even more confused. “That crab lives in its shell. If you were walking to school and some big monster picked you up, what would you do?”
“Oooooooh, I get it!” your daughter says, her enthusiasm causing you to smile warmly. “We're a lot bigger than the crab. If some big monster I'd never seen before picked me up, I'd probably attack him too.”

“Exactly. So, be a little more careful.” you tell her. “Check and make sure the shells aren't occupied before you pick them up, okay?”
“Understood!” she shouts, running off back towards her brother and uncle. You stand up with a smile, turning and walking back to your wife who is looking at you with a gleam in her eye.
“You've changed.” Megumin says, you raising a brow as you walk back over to her.

“In what way?” you ask as you sit back down beside her, curious as to what she'll say.
“You're a lot less.... Impulsive, than you used to be.” she says after a moment's thought choosing her words. “A few years ago you'd have crushed it for trying to 'attack' me, harmless as it was. But here you are, letting it live and even go free.”
“Heh, probably because of all that 'ambassador' work the village chief's had me doing. If I attacked every moron who made a threat, there wouldn't be any other countries on our world left.” you say casually with a laugh. But as you do, you know it's not the truth. Or, at least not the entire truth. “No, but seriously...”

Your voice trails off as you look over at your children, Meloka Wolbach pointing out the ones that still have crabs inside them to her brother and uncle before they pick them up.

“I have to be better. For them.” you say, nodding towards your kids. You both watching as Meloka Wolback picks up one with another crab inside it. Only for it to try attacking her as well, your daughter catching it by the claw as you'd done moments ago and giggling.
“I did it!” she shouts excitedly, turning to show you and your wife the crab she's holding with one hand. You give her an approving nod and a wave, your daughter waving back with her free hand before turning, setting the crab down gently and letting it scuttle away from her too.
“When I was little, my own father made sure we all understood one lesson. The single most important thing, the one unbending rule of the universe.” you tell her seriously.

“Rule of the universe?” she asks, clearly expecting it to be something mystical or enlightening. A grand rule of how things work, like gravity or relativity. But that's not how your father things, his one universal rule isn't about the universe itself, but about people.
“The one unbending, constant rule. The single most important thing in the universe, the one thing that matters most. Which is power.” you tell her, looking down at your hand and clenching your fist. “At the end of the day, nothing is more important than your own strength.”

“That's terrible.” Megumin says, sounding horrified as you shake your head. “I thought that he-?”
“Hold on, hear me out hun.” you tell her, holding a hand out to your wife. She stops, waiting to see what you're going to say. “It's a lot deeper than it sounds.”
“Deeper? How?” she asks you, not thinking it through. But her world was different than your own, which was far different than how your father grew up. “There's more to life than raw power.”

“Yes, I agree. And so does he. But if you don't have power, nothing else matters.” you tell her, your wife's expression changing to one of confusion. “The one unchanging rule of the universe is that the strong rule, and the weak either obey that rule, or die resisting. If you want to live how you want, to have the life you want for yourself and those you love, you must be strong enough to defend it from whatever threats come. The universe is cruel and uncaring, and will take everything from you, given the chance. Unless you're strong enough to protect what matters.”

“That's rather... Dark.” your wife says, looking a bit upset at this. She wraps her arms around herself, looking down as she thinks it over for a few moments.
“Yes. But that's the universe my dad grew up in.” you tell her, reaching around and hugging her to your side. “He made sure we all were strong enough to live our lives however we wanted, free to choose our own paths and avoid living subservient, crushed under another's heel. And I want our kids to have that choice too, to live whatever lives they decide they want. But that's not all. That's only the first step.”
“The first step? What do you mean?” Megumin asks, looking back up and over at you. “The first step towards what?”

“Towards building something better.” you say, looking from her out over the sea as the sun continues to dip closer towards the horizon. “Like what I've been building with Ainz and Rimuru's help. Where those in power don't just crush those weaker than them underfoot, but raise them up. Cultivating their strengths and letting them excel, to grow and share their talents with everyone else. At first I didn't understand this, when my father started teaching others. It seemed contradictory at first to what he'd taught me all my life. If power was all that mattered, then why would he raise others up to possibly challenge him? Why foster growth in others, spurring them on to greater heights?”

“But then I realized something, as I watched him. As his students grew in strength and in numbers, their power wasn't all he was cultivating.” you continue, remembering when you'd first had this revelation. “He was forging another family.”
“A family? You've lost me.” she says, you turning from the sea back to her.
“Yes. Just like you could call the wider Crimson Demon Village a 'family', or like Yunyun's team could be called her family, a chosen family. Or, to a more abstract, the Crimson Demon Village and our two biggest allies, the Great Tomb of Nazarick and the Jura Tempest Federation, could also be considered a family.”

She looks away as you say this, her brilliant mind working overtime as she studies what you've said. You can see her eyes darting back and forth while she looks down, muttering quietly to herself as she breaks down your logic, analyzing it. So, you continue, letting her ponder your words.

“The bonds we forge, Like the one between our families, you and I. Between all of our friends across worlds, our bonds as both students and as masters. These are also a strength.” you continue, turning from your wife and looking back out to your kids, watching as they and Karn Jr all work together to lift a large, submerged rock, curious what was under it. Exemplifying what you're saying. “This power is one that grows far greater than any single, individual power can ever hope to reach on its own. That when we work together to help each other grow, we all become stronger for it. Together. Pushing us all to ever-greater heights, smashing through limits previously thought unobtainable. And, with this power, we can reshape our very universe. To turn it from one where the strong trample the weak to one where we all lift each other up, pushing each other to reach ever-greater heights.”

After you finish what you're saying, everything's quiet. You turn, Megumin looking at you with an almost sad-seeming smile. And, without words leans in, hugging you with both arms. You return the hug, the two of you sitting there quietly.

“Dad made the universe a safer place for us, to live how we want to. But now it's my turn.” you say, still holding Megumin close. “It's our job to give them a better life than ours as their parents.”
“I'm in.” your wife says, pulling back a bit to look you in the eyes. “If we're going to make the universe better, we need to set an example for everyone else to follow. And I think you're off to a great start, mister Crystal Sage. Really working hard to earn the last part of that title title today.”

And as the two of you laugh at her gentle teasing, you know that, no matter what, Megumin's got your back. And with her support, with your loving wife behind you one hundred percent, you can do anything.

He’s smart, but more importantly he’s also a father now. And sees your actions through that lens, through your experiences he knows of. Like your talk of strength meaning freedom, then training FREEZA, the one who first ‘enslaved’ him and the rest of the Saiyans.

Yes he has. From a timid, scared boy afraid his father didn’t love him to a father himself. Who, out of all Karn’s many children, respects him the most.

A good question. Earlier intervention could have prevented this, but who knows what else may have happened instead?

Absolutely.

Being a father himself helps. King Vegeta for example only sees it through the lens of the SAIYANS, that their people prosper and are ready to crush the next invasion whenever it should come. He doesn’t see the larger picture.

Really enjoyed writing this intermission. No big conflict or drama, but a man who has his eyes set to the future. This episode’s been a lot about what comes next, and by extension learning from the mistakes of our pasts. Small spoiler for when this episode continues, but Chaya will have had enough of Future Chaya’s attitude and we’ll get a good heart-to-heart.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After the defeats of Dumplin, Chronoa and the Time Patrol, Karn returned home with his entire family. Spending time with them, checking up on everyone after nearly all of them died. Only for King Vegeta to arrive, warning Karn that Freeza told him that planets have begun to disappear. Then, after that revelation none other than Beerus, God of Destruction arrives on New Salda. Future Chaya, still angry from her fight with Ace challenges the Destroyer, Karn moving the fight to Raxus Prime with Raven's help. But as Chaya battles the Destroyer, overcoming his Hakai Ace intervenes, ascending into his Ultra Instinct. Only for Future Chaya and Ace to resume arguing, resulting in a battle between Ultra Instinct and Apex, two different pinnacles of power. And as we rejoin Karn, Future Chaya has revealed why she's fighting after adding on the Kaio-Ken to her Apex power.

“I won't let you!” she declares, voice cracking as her emotions pour out of her voice. “If you really wanna abandon me for those Time Patrol bastards, you're gonna have to kill me first! I'm not gonna let you go!”
“Huh?” you mutter, looking from your daughter up to the former Time Patroller as he stares down at her. His expression is icy, showing no emotion as he simply stares down at her. Which clearly infuriates Chaya, launching herself back up at him with a roar.
“Say SOMETHING, dammit!!” she snarls, her strike again not finding its target as Ace dodges with seeming ease. As he moves, dodging all of her strikes now and not retaliating, you begin to see quite a few similarities between this technique and the Su Ma, but one huge difference. Unlike with your Su Ma, Ace only moves exactly enough to avoid the strike. No unnecessary spins, flips, or anything, each movement exactly what was needed to dodge your other timeline daughter's attacks. “ANSWER ME!”

But he doesn't respond, keeping his silence as he continuously avoids her attacks. You can feel her frustration building as her technique starts to get sloppier, throwing faster, heavier strikes in a seemingly-desperate bit do catch the elusive fighter. Until Ace suddenly reaches out, catching her wild right with her left, stopping her in place.

“GRRRR! GRRAAAAAAAA!!” she roars in frustration, crimson aura doubling in size as her power increases even further. But then, to your and everyone's surprise, suddenly Chaya teleports between her alternate self and Ace. And before anyone can react, Chaya draws her right back off her forehead, delivering a backhanded slap straight to her stronger self's face. The smack echoes out over the crater, Future Chaya's aura vanishing entirely from the shock. “Wha-?!”

“What the FUCK do you think you are doing?!” Chaya yells in her face, grabbing her by the armor and shaking her. “Do yo WANT him to leave you? Huh? Do you?!”
“Wh-What?” Future Chaya stammers, shocked by the anger in Chaya's voice. “What are you-?”
“LOOK AT HIM!” Chaya snarls, moving aside just a bit and pointing to Ace with her left hand, at the expression on his face. “Do you WANT to drive him away from you? Is this what you really want, to push him away? Because that's what you're doing!”

“N-No, I don't w-” she starts, your Chaya interrupting her again.
“Then stop! Stop with this childish tantrum!” your daughter shouts in her face, tears starting to form in her eyes. “Get your head, out of your ass, and think about SOMEONE other than yourself! For ONCE in your life!”

Future Chaya stares at her smaller self, shocked into silence as tears start streaking down Chaya's face.

“Or you can keep pushing him away, not listening to him when he tells you what he's thinking, and have no one to blame but yourself when he leaves you forever!” Chaya snarls, voice cracking as she starts to cry in earnest, shaking as she struggles to keep going. Raw emotion bleeds into her voice, showing you that's she's ANYTHING but over Raditz leaving her. But she uses her pain in this moment as a sword to cut through Future Chaya's outrage, causing the far stronger woman to shrink before her emotion-filled gaze. “Don't. Don't screw it all up like I did. Please...”

With her voice cracking even worse with that final 'please' Chaya lets go of her alternate self, hiding her face and tears as she flies away from you all, raising her right hand to her forehead. And before you call out to her she's gone, teleporting quite a ways away. No doubt to a nearby Dreadzone-controlled planet.

“Chaya...” Future Chaya mutters, looking towards where your eldest was a moment before, looking down at her right hand. Clearly thinking over what your Chaya had just told her.

But what do you do?

You and Meloka exchange a look, your wife nodding to you and raising a hand to her forehead, no doubt focusing on Chaya's powerlevel as you push yourself up to your feet, flying up into the air towards Future Chaya and Ace. You come to a stop between them, nod directly between but off to the side, much closer to your other timeline daughter than Ace as you look from one to the other.

“Alright, that's enough.” you tell them both. “I've had enough of this. The two of you are going to stop fighting, now, and talk this out. Understood?”
“Of course.” Ace replies to you, expression not changing nor powering down as he still looks only to Future Chaya. Who seemingly hasn't heard you, or simply didn't acknowledge you, still looking down at her hand.
“Understood?” you ask again, a bit more forcefully as she starts, looking up from her hand to you in clear confusion.
“Wha-huh?” she asks, clearly having not heard you. Taking a deep breath you sigh out, repeating yourself. “The two of you are going to stop fighting and talk this out. Right now. Understand?”

“What's there to talk about?” she asks, immediately on the defensive. “He wants to abandon us, abandon ME for the Time Patrol! There's no-!”
“Hold on.” you tell her, holding out your hand towards her, Future Chaya going quiet at your glare. You then turn back to Ace, who while you were looking at your daughter seemingly powered back down to his base form. But there's still something about his power that gives you pause. “Is this true, Ace? What exactly did you tell her?”
“That I want to return to Conton City. To help the people there rebuild.” he replies, you noticing the silver in his eyes hasn't faded, despite his hair going from white back to red. Curious. “I'm sure you did a whole lot of damage, a lot of innocent people who were no part of the Time Patrol or Chronoa's designs were probably caught up in the fighting. And I want to help guide them-”

“You just want to go back to the Time Patrol so you can be mister big shot leader!” Future Chaya snarls, aura blazing back to life. As it does you're blown away, knocked back away from her until someone catches you. Looking over your shoulder see it was Ace, the former Time Patroller giving you a worried look. “Oh no, Daddy! I'm sorry, I didn't mean-!”

But as your alternate timeline daughter rushes towards you you hold out your right hand palm-first towards her, Future Chaya stopping immediately.

“Stop. Power down, now. And don't interrupt again.” you tell her, a hard edge to your voice. You see her eyes go wide at this, immediately reverting back to her base form. And, as she does, you feel that eerie calm of Ace's power fade as well, the man no doubt letting go of that divine power that so interested Whis.

“Why do you want to go to Conton City?” you ask, turning to face Ace. “Not the excuses. The reason. The REAL reason.”

He doesn't immediately answer, looking down a bit in what almost feels like shame before raising his gaze back to you, eyes serious.

“If I had never left the Time Patrol, I could have protected them.” Ace says, you hearing your daughter gasp behind you. But you don't focus on her, watching the former Time Patroller as he speaks. “It may not be entirely my fault, but their pain is because of me. So, I want to do whatever I can to make up for it.”
“Hmm.” you nod, turning from him back to Future Chaya. Who is clearly angry, fists clenched and arms trembling as she'd kept herself from shouting. “And what part of this makes you think he wants to rejoin the Time Patrol?”
“He told me he wants to lead them!” she explodes, you feeling a brow go up in surprise. “That he wanted to go back and 'take command'!”

“Only to-!” he starts, which is his turn for you to turn, glaring angrily at him.
“Shut up. Don't interrupt.” you tell him with a low growl, the far stronger Saiyan visibly gulping and taking an almost step back unconsciously. You then turn back to Chaya, gesturing for her to continue.
“Now that Chronoa's gone he wants to go back! He wants to take her place, and be just like her!” your future daughter cries out angrily, her aura starting to flare up around her as her emotions run wild. “We're finally free to live here, and now he wants to just leave!? After everything?”

“I don't want to leave. But...” Ace says, unable to meet her gaze and looking away. But you think you understand it, to a degree. They were HIS people after all, despite what Chronoa put him through. And you kind of get it, he wants to go make everything right with the people he feels obligated to. But on the other hand, your alternate timeline daughter has been fighting nearly her whole life to have the life stolen from her, to be able to live on New Salda with 'her' family the way she couldn't in her original timeline because of the Time Patrol's interference. Their wants seem diametrically opposed.

So, what now?
>Ask Future Chaya if she'd want to go help Ace, as they can leave there and return here whenever they want, with Towa and possibly Mechikabura's help porting them back and forth through the hidden gateway you'd gone through
>Ask Ace if he has so little faith in Trunks that, at least in the short term he won't be able to handle the aftermath of what happened now that Mechikabura has assigned him leadership of the Time Patrol. That he has so little faith in a man he called friend?

But as you think this over, suddenly a realization dawns on you: why not both? You have literal time magic with Towa's help, glancing down to her where she's watching Whis warily as the attendant and Beerus talk about something you can't hear. Turning back to Future Chaya, you look from her, to Ace, then back to her and gesture for both to come to you. They float over, coming to a stop by you as they both look to you, curious what you'll say. You place a hand on each of their shoulders, slide them up to the backs of their heads, then swing your arms together, bonking their foreheads together.

“Gah?! What the hell?!” Future Chaya exclaims as she recoils, rubbing her head.
“Tch!” Ace winces, teeth clenched to keep from shouting.
“You two are idiots. Arguing over something so damn simple.” you tell them, both looking to you now in confusion. “For as much time travel as you've both done, you'd think you would understand that this isn't complicated.”

“What do you mean?” Ace asks you, not getting it. You look from him to Future Chaya, your other timeline daughter not getting it either. But as you look to her, you see her eyes suddenly widen in shock, jaw dropping.
“I-Oh....” she says, tail drooping as she realizes what you have. Ace looks from you to her, still not getting it. “I see.”
“What's going on?” he asks, you turning from your daughter of another time to him.
“You are time travelers. If you want to spend some time helping them, ask Towa to send you there through the hole in the time shield.” you tell him, his eyes widening. “Ask her make you a return button like the one she made Trunks that time, that could open a portal back even through the Time Nest itself. Or ask her to get you in contact with Mechikabura, I'm sure he'd be willing to help you out.”

“Oh...” he replies in a very similar matter to Future Chaya, sounding dumbfounded he hadn't realized this himself. But as he and Future Chaya look to each other, suddenly your instincts scream out at you in danger. Spinning counterclockwise, you draw your right, ready to swing only to see Beerus the Destroyer has flown up behind you, arms behind his back. Seeing this you stop yourself from throwing a blow against the Destroyer, as you are now you doubt you could resist a single attack from him.

“Lord Beerus. You startled me.” you say, lowering your hand. He raises a brow at this, then waves you off.
“Quite alright. But, I was wondering something.” he says, then looks from you to Ace. “Tell me. That form you were in before; can you do it again?”

“Huh? Oh, of course.” he replies, taking a deep, slow breath in and closing his eyes as Beerus observes, stroking his chin. You three watch as, with his exhale, that same eerily calm power begins rising up in him, his hair changing from red to white. Then, with the last of his exhale he opens his eyes, once more gleaming silver.
“Interesting. Now, if you two are done, I'd like to resume my fight.” the God of Destruction says, tone brooking no arguments as the light begins flaking off Ace, revealing his transformed state more clearly. “You lot dragged me all the way out here, so you'd better satisfy me.”

Leaving the 'or else' unspoken, but clearly implied. Ace and Future Chaya share a look. Clearly deciding on who will fight the God of Destruction first.

Well? What do you do?
>Go check in on Meloka and Chaya, see how your daughter's doing after what she went through

“What do you think?” Future Chaya asks Ace, who turns from the Destroyer to her. They clearly communicate telepathically, you grinning and letting yourself drift back down towards the planet.
“We'll do this together.” you hear Ace say, your feet touching the ground as you land by your family, between Towa and Beerus' attendant Whis. But instead of standing, you let yourself drop into a sit, legs crossed as you sigh out. Whis' shield springs up around you all an instant before there's another loud boom overhead, the two of them coming to blows with Beerus, God of Destruction. However, you're too tired to even look up to the fight, bowing your head as your eyes start to close.

“Dad? Dad, what's going on?” you hear Caulifla asks, feeling a hand on your back.
“Don't worry, your father needs to go finish this. But be ready, he'll need you to...” Whis says, you wondering what he's talking about as his voice fades away before everything goes completely black. You lose all senses for several moments, until you blink, looking around and finding yourself back in that familiar void. But you're not alone, another familiar being there before you. One that makes your blood boil on sight, how the HELL is he still alive?!

“You!” you seethe through clenched teeth, trying to draw upon your Berserker God power to rush and attack that bastard. But, as you try, realize that you can't feel it. You can't feel your Berserker power!
“Karn.” Dumplin says, smirking maliciously at you. Then, from behind his back you see the Demon God's left hand come out, holding your Berserker God flame in his hand. “Looking for this?”
“How the hell are you still alive?” you ask, wondering what it's going to take to put this bastard down. But his answer actually surprises you.

“Alive? Ha, hardly! You destroyed my corporeal form, ya sumbitch.” he says, tone rather.... Friendly. Which is even more worrying than seething anger. “It's going to take me a lot of time and power to rebuild my body.”
“So, what are you doing in my head?” you ask, to which the Demon God laughs.
“YOUR head? Ha! This isn't your head, but the remnants. The last vestiges of the REAL Karn's mind.” he says to you. And as you stare him down, you feel your Berserker Soul's power being siphoned away into the Demon God himself. “And once I've taken everything from you, I'll be able to return. To put the timeline back on track, to try again with the NEXT Karn.”

“You think I'm going to just sit back and let you?” you ask, to which the Demon God smiles. A creepy, unsettling smile.

“You don't have a choice.” he tells you, holding up the Berserker Soul. “Make any slick moves, try anything 'clever', and I crush this. I'll take this power away from you forever.”

As he stands there before you, holding onto the Berserker Soul, you try and decide what to do. If you attack him, he's going to try and destroy it. If he can destroy it, that'll cripple your power for years, if not decades to come. And could even possibly sever your connection to Divine Dragon Force. But if you don't do something, your family's killer will go free. And one fact remains: you will NOT let him live for what he did to them!

But what do you do? What CAN you do?
>Rush and attack regardless, beat him to death with your bare hands and rage
>Try and draw the Berserker Soul out of his hand back to you, using telekinesis and your familiarity with that power to draw it back to you

As the bastard who killed almost all of your family stands there, holding onto the Berserker Soul, the source of your power, suddenly you remember something: the Berserker Soul isn't the ONLY soul you have at your disposal. You remember taking the soul of that absurdly powerful Abyssal being, the one you'd fought in Towa's realm through the portal there with the malformed arm. And if you can't draw upon your Berserker Soul, then perhaps you can draw upon that one?

“Hold on, what are you doing? Whatever you're thinking about doing, stop! Right now!” Dumplin says, you sensing a hint of fear in his voice as you press your right hand to your chest, remembering the sensations of that soul entering your body. It takes you a few moments to find it, that familiar viscous, lukewarm lump of Abyssal soul deep within. You feel it has taken root inside you body around your left shoulder blade, and with a smirk focus on and tap into it. “DON'T YOU-!”

But as you tap into that soul, as you grasp onto it you feel your touch immediately aggravate it. Like a balloon it feels as if it 'pops', everything going dark.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjjhR0wWtt0

“Guh-! GYAAAAAAAAH!!” you cry out in pain as the Abyss itself floods throughout your body. Instantly your entire form is consumed, that lukewarm darkness spilling out of your every pore and hole. It feels as if you're suddenly submerged in blood, the Abyss sticking to your body as it seeps from you. You lose everything as the darkness takes you, your senses, your thoughts, your very will, all is consumed by that unstoppable dark. But then, suddenly, you can see again. A familiar pink and green-wearing bastard, still holding onto a green flame appears out of the Dark. YOUR green flame.

“GWROOOOOOOAAAAAARR!!” you roar, voice far deeper and more forceful than you've ever heard it before. It barely even sounds like you, that sound even hurting your own ears as you scream, but seeing that monster recoil in apparent fear makes you incredibly happy. You're going to enjoy crushing him for DARING to take what is rightfully yours.
“No, no, no no no, this isn't right! You're not-!” he says, only for you to suddenly swing for his head with your right. You note, idly, that your arm no longer looks like your arm, but is pitch black and each finger ends in a sharp-looking claw of Abyss. Dumplin, caught by surprise is slashed by your middle two fingers' claws, narrowly avoiding being bisected by your much-larger hand as one claw cuts through his face, the other his belly. “Tch!”

You look down at your hand, curious why it looks so much larger than normal, as if you could grab that bastard and hold his entire body in your hand. But you can't ponder it for long, as suddenly the Demon God before you begins to GROW.

“Dammit, I won't let you!” he snarls, growing to what you'd guess to be the size of an Oozaru, towering over you. But with a thought you feel MORE Abyssal darkness seeping out of your body, most prominently out through your left shoulder blade behind you as your perspective starts to shift as well. You grow to where you are nearly three quarters his own size, not dwarfed by him but he still towers over you. “Abyss or not, you can't beat me!”

As the Abyssal power of the absorbed soul flows throughout your body, churning slowly, you know this power you're using won't outlast your Berserker Soul he's still clutching in his left hand. You can feel the soul still radiating power as he drains it to fuel himself, taking what's rightfully yours. This cannot stand.

Well? What do you do now?
>If he's going to feast on your soul, feast on him. Let the Abyss's hunger devour the Demon God's might, as he devours your Berserker Soul's
>Attack. Unleash your rage, your hatred, your wrath upon him. Rip and tear, until it is done
>Use the Abyss pouring from you to restrain Dumplin, to take your Berserker Soul back from this monster

Every second he has what's yours, you feel your anger swelling, your rage burning ice cold. You WILL take back what's yours.

“GWROOOOAAAAAARRR!” you snarl, lunging forward and trying to grab Dumplin's fat neck with your left hand. A hand which, oddly, burns with some sort of dark red fire. It doesn't hurt, but somehow your hand feels.... hungry. Immediately the Demon God leaps back your hand closing on nothing. But the Abyss itself suddenly surges from you, leaping from your left arm like tendrils of some great beast at the Demon God.
“WHAT?!” he exclaims as you feel the Abyss itself move. Like tendrils of some great sea monster, your Abyssal energy, visible against the void of nothing only by the faintly-present grey outline shoot forward at the monster. Caught by surprise, Dumplin is grabbed by the abyssal tendrils, the Darkness spreading over his body. You watch as it pulls him in, drawing the Demon God in as your left hand is pressed palm-first to him. Immediately you feel the bastard's power shrinking, his body growing slightly translucent after a moment as the flames around your left blaze brighter. You can feel that dark fire drinking the Demon God's very soul, weakening him by the second as you reach towards his left hand with your right, eager to reclaim your Berserker Soul. But he clearly feels this too, unleashing his might with a roar. “HAAAAAAAAAA!!”

Firing an Explosive Wave, Dumplin frees himself from the tendrils, jerking his body back away from your left. You almost grab his left hand, but the force of the blast stops you short. But the moment it ends you're on the attack, determined to reclaim what's yours.

“Tch! GRRRRAAAAAAA!!” you roar, lunging towards him again. This time with your right arm, grabbing onto his left wrist. Immediately the Abyss flows from your hand down his arm and up to his shoulder, while also trying to grow over his hand. However, as it does, you notice something rather... Odd. As the Abyss tries to claim him, your Berserker Soul blazes, burning the Abyss back away from his hand. Keeping the Abyss at bay all by itself, seemingly without direction. Both you and Dumplin are momentarily dumbfounded by this, the two of you staring for a second as the emerald fires of your Berserker Soul keep that bastard alive.

“MINE!” you snarl, bringing your left around again, swinging your hand for his chest in an attempt to rip out his heart, if he has one. But, instead of striking him, Dumplin simply opens a hole in his body, your hand striking nothing. “What?!”
“Let's see who eats who first!” he says with a sadistic grin, his body closing around your forearm. And you watch with horror as his grey body and garish clothes start to liquefy around you, spreading up your left arm towards your elbow. “A battle of hunger.”

“BURN!” you snarl, but it isn't your voice, nor your thought to say it. As if on command, your left arm ignites. Obsidian-black flames wreathed by the colors of more 'normal' fire burst into being from your left shoulder down, scorching you as the burn across you all the way down to where the Demon God's semi-liquid flesh is trying to envelop you. And on contact his body ignites, Dumplin squealing in pain. As if this is the hottest fire he's ever encountered, whereas your daughter Milha has hit you with so much more pain in your training with her that you barely feel this. After only a second he abandons his plan to eat you, chopping the part of himself off that was touching you before swinging his right hand up, tearing his left hand off its wrist to keep your Berserker Soul with him before tearing free of his left arm, the Abyss completely consuming it while the black fires burn away the last of his body on your left arm.

“Dammit. This can't be happening!” he says, turning a bit more transparent as he regenerates from the damage, now holding your Berserker Soul's emerald fire in his right. “None of this is right!”
“DIE!” you snarl, again lunging forward towards him. Dumplin doesn't back down, instead dashing in, swinging your own Berserker Soul in his right fist into your jaw. And everything becomes pain. Scalding, agonizing pain as the flames of your Berserker Soul scorch your flesh. But, bracing yourself you recover, retaliating with a devastating right punch of your own straight to his guts. You strike the Demon God so hard his body distorts around the punch. Only for the Demon God to smirk, letting your fist go through him by opening himself he flies up your arm to deliver another devastating right straight to your face. Seeing him coming, you only see YOUR Berserker God power, and realize how you're going to get it back.

“BITCH!” he shouts, swinging his right straight for your nose, clearly intending to break it. But, instead you dislocate your jaw, opening wide as you feel your maw enlongating and bite down hard on his wrist. Your abyssal fangs sinking into his flesh as the fires of your Berserker Soul incinerate the inside of your maw. The agony is intense, unlike anything you've ever experienced with your half-demon daughter, but you fight through the pain. Abyssal fires start burning in your mouth as well, determined to take his hand and reclaim what's yours. “Oh no you don't!”

Realizing what you're doing, Dumplin then shoves his OTHER hand into the space between your burning fangs, drawing his left out as it's clearly clad in the Berserker Soul's emerald flames. Which seem to be burning even brighter than it was when you first confronted him, the Berserker Soul now blazing nearly fifty percent bigger. The Demon God then abandons his hand, your body automatically injesting it, letting the Abyssal Fire destroy in completely inside you.

But what now?
>Keep pressing him, keep entangling him in Abyss and burning his soul with your Abyssal Fire until he can't resist to reclaim what's yours
>Focus on taking that arm off, you can devour him easily once that pesky fire's out of the way
>Rush and attack, rip and tear until there's nothing left but your precious

This or the last option IMO.

Option 2 has us ignore the Berserker Soul to focus on eating dumplin, which isn't what we want, 3 has us just focus on rip and tear, and 4 might work but I'm worried if we Abyssal Nuke in our mind our body will too....which will get messy but also get the job done if it works.

You know what, I'm team manus here because dumplin doing dumb crap is gonna keep continuing unless we do something we'll and final. He doesn't explain anything, he murders literally the one thing he full damn well knows keeps karn from going off the deep end, and he doesn't even realize he has his friend back, but he did it in the absolute worst way where he positioned him on the opposite side because of his autism. “GRRRROOOOAAAAAAR!!” you roar as suddenly your body is no longer under your control, right arm stretching and grabbing the Demon God. That darkness expands, engulfing him entirely and wrapping him up. The Demon God's expression turns to one of horror as everything but his hand and face are covered, your body drawing its left hand back then thrusting it for his chest. The darkness opens up around his chest, your left hand with those dark red flames thrusting into his chest. Immediately you feel his power dropping, consumed by the dark red fire pressed to his chest. It eats his strength, Dumplin turning more and more translucent.

However, suddenly, you regain control of your body. Immediately you imagine those abyssal flames burning Dumplin as he's trapped in your grip, then speak the word.

“BURN!” you exclaim, the fires of darkness springing to life over your right arm. It rapidly burns its way down your right arm, engulfing Dumplin in Abyssal fire.
“KYAAAAAAAAAH!!” he cries in abject agony, right arm expanding and growing in size. The fire remains where it was as he expands, escaping that grip and reforming his body from his hand. Now the flame of your Berserker Soul is burning in his left hand, you immediately going on the attack. Stretching your left hand out, shaping your fingers into long, slashing blades wreathed in Abyssal fire you swing. Each blade cuts through his body, pinkie slashing him apart at the ankles, ring and middle fingers acorss his body, and index finger across his eyes, blinding him. “GuuyAAAAAAAAAH!!”

Abyssal flames burn in each of the cuts, Dumplin immediately shooting off those parts of himself, allowing them to be consumed entirely by the dark flame to keep the rest of him intact. But his body is growing more and more transparent, making him harder to see in the infinite void. Except for your Berserker Soul, the Demon God desperately clinging to it like a drowning man a float. Seeing him weakening, your right copies your left, the flames cooking your hands as you launch into a barrage of heavy swings. Dumplin goes into a full on retreat, trying to dodge your swings. He evades every two or three, but the next one gets him. Each time he loses more and more opacity, then with a final swing sever his arm.

“NOOOOOOO!” he exclaims, fear coloring his voice as you immediately reach up for your Berserker Soul. You reach out, the emerald fire scorching the black flesh of your hand as you grab onto it. And, as you take ahold of your power, immediately everything changes.

The fires of your Berserker Soul surge into your body, burning your entire body from within. It hurts, but not in a painful way. More akin to purging something from within you as your power is restored, closing your eyes as everything becomes right again. But then, opening your eyes, you realize how much trouble you're in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2gElxBGwjc

Your entire BODY is engulfed in Abyss, the darkness somehow burning your flesh from without and within. As your Berserker Soul's power spreads within you, resotred to its rightful place, the numbing euphoria you'd been feeling is replaced with near-unbearable agony.

“GRRAAAAAAAAAA!!” you scream in pain, tapping into your Berserker Soul and transforming, drawing upon it. But your body is in rough shape, leaving you only able to take the basic Berserker form and not ascend further. However, it does the trick, your aura blazing and blasting the darkness from you. Except from your back, where you feel that darkness still seeping out of you. Burning a hole in your back, the two powers fighting for dominance.
“D-Damn it. How? How did you-?” Dumplin starts, you raising your glare to him with an agonized smile. This is all HIS fault, and you're gonna make him pay!
“RRRAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, firing a Final Shine Attack straight at what's left of the Demon God Dumplin. You feel his body barely put up any resistance whatsoever against your attack, perhaps you didn't even hit him? But as you end the beam, you can't sense him anywhere. Perhaps you really got him? After another moment of panting, arm still outstretched, the pain consumes you again. Your last thoughts before the void take you are how you can fall unconscious when you're already unconscious?

But then there's nothing. No senses, no thoughts, nothing but unending grey. Not black, not white, but a perfectly balanced grey. Then in this odd place, suddenly a fire blazes to life. In the middle of this void, you 'see' the Berserker Soul blaze into being once more, emerald flames dancing in the void. But then, as it lights this grey space, you can see. In the center is the Berserker Soul, its power blazing bright. But as it lights up the grey, further beyond where that light doesn't touch, the grey is replaced by darkness. Or, rather, Dark. And the Abyss, encroaching on your Berserker Soul makes it look little more than a match's flame, tiny and sputtering against the infinite nothingness surrounding it. As you watch, the Dark starts getting closer and closer, daring to get closer to the emerald flames. You can feel the Abyss' infinite hunger, its desire to devour the Berserker God power. To snuff out every last light, and leave all of reality in perpetual, endless Dark.

What have you done?

I said before Dumplin was a dumbass who clearly knew Karn less then he thought if he figured he could murder his family, steal his power, and back Karn into a no win situation without getting fucked in return.

For the Dumplin bit I honestly don’t blame him. He’s Rules Bound not to mess with Mortal Affairs, besides which, if Karn dies to Dumplin then Beerus is safe and Whis can enjoy his little retirement. He can follow the rules and get what he wants.

Though now that we’ve branded ourselves with the Dark Sign and unleashed The Abyss ge probably has Beeurus waiting with the strongest Hakai he has to erase us and if he can our Dark if we lose it.

Bodiless, you can do nothing but watch in this void as the Dark approaches the flame. It consumes all of the grey in this void, leaving only the direct light of your Berserker Soul's fires, and the Dark. But on the edges of that light the Darkness continues to encroach, first consuming the faintest light, growing stronger and stronger. It consumes more and more light until everything except the Berserker Soul itself is now Dark. But, despite having consumed all else, the Berserker Soul still persists. It refuses to be 'eaten' by the Abyss, suddenly expanding as the Dark touches it. Your Berserker Soul's power explodes, doubling in size and power as it seemingly burns away the Darkness. Yet despite this, there is just too much Abyss. No matter how powerful your flame becomes, it is still dwarfed by the infinite nothingness of the Abyss.

“Dammit...” you mutter, wanting to do something. But as you speak, suddenly you become aware of your body once more. You are submerged in the Dark, restrained by it and veiling the Berserker Soul. Hanging suspended in the Dark, on the very edge of the light of your Berserker Soul. You can barely feel its heat, the warmth of its rage barely touching you. You feel the Abyss trying to pull you under, to drag you down into the depths where the Berserker Soul's light cannot reach so it can snuff out that flame entirely. But is that what you really want? Do you want to go back to that power you wielded before, or accept the warm embrace of the Dark? Where your pains, your worries, everything disappears?

You feel your body sinking deeper and deeper, the flame growing fainter and fainter as the Abyss continues to drag you under. It would be so easy to become one with the Dark.

But what do you do?

>the abyss did not necessarily do so
I think you fundamentally misunderstand what the Abyss is. When everything else is gone, all that's left is the Abyss.
>>
>>5906577
But you've never been one to do things the easy way. Watching as the emerald blaze slowly begins to fade against the relentless assault of the Dark. But you won't let it go, not like this. The Berserker Soul is YOURS!

“No you don't!” you shout, clenching your fists and drawing upon every ounce of power you've got within you. “HRRAAAAAAA!!”

Your green aura blazes up around you, your natural aura paling in comparison to the blazing inferno of your Berserker Soul. But the Abyss reacts immediately, the Dark swarming over you. You feel it pour out through your body, trying to drown you even deeper into the Dark. To pull you further and further away from the light of the Berserker Soul, to bury you in the infinite void.

“Dammit! Not like this!” you snarl, drawing upon the golden power of the Super Saiyan. You dig deep, reaching out to the golden energy dwelling within. A power you've not tapped into for years, yet has been there the entire time. And as you once again touch it, taking that power for your own once again, you roar in defiance of the Abyss. “GRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!”

Pure, golden light explodes out from you, blasting the darkness back off of you and freeing your body from it's pull. Even the Abyss covering your flesh is blasted away, revealing your real body. Which, as you look at yourself, isn't doing well. Your flesh appears burned and mangled, dried out and nearly corpse-like. As if the Abyss was consuming your muscles to fuel itself. But no matter what shape you're in you won't stop fighting!

“HAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, trying to fly through the Abyss back up towards that blazing emerald light. But as you draw near, the Dark once again reaches out, grabbing onto you. Dark tendrils shoot out from somewhere behind you, binding your arms, legs and chest in place to prevent you from reaching the Berserker Soul itself. “You won't stop me! HRRAAAAA!!”

But even putting everything you've got into pushing against the Dark, it's pull is simply too strong. The darkness continues to pull you further and further from the Berserker Soul, it growing fainter and fainter. However, suddenly you have an idea. You don't need to reach the Berserker Soul, you don't have to fight the Abyss to reclaim it. The Berserker Soul is YOURS! You just have to call it to you! Using all the strength you've got left you tear your right arm free, thrusting it towards your emerald power as you call out to it. Reaching out for it just as you had all those years ago, seeking the power that would save your family: RAGE.

This Abyss would DARE take something that's yours? That makes it no better than that bastard Dumplin! The power of the Berserker is YOURS, your anger calling to the flame. It responds, flashing through the Abyss and charging directly for you. You watch as the Dark is burned by your fire, the emerald flames of your rage, but the fire is diminished by that Dark too. The blazing inferno is shredded by the Abyss, reducing it down to a flame you can hold in a hand. But as it touches your outstretched palm, the familiar sensations rise up within you once more.

“GUUUH-! GYAAAAAAAAH!!” you roar as power, raw and angry floods your body. Burning the Abyss withing you, igniting your power and restoring you. Through blinding agony you watch as your flesh is restored, body growing as you return to your Berserker form. The Abyss surrounding you recoils in pain, the fires of your wrath scorching even that infinite Dark as you release them. “HRRAAAAAAAAAA!!”

You ki explodes, power surging as you ascend even further, retaking the full power of the Berserker Soul and transform again. Your hair grows long down your back, brows growing more pronounced as you become the Berserker God once more.

“THIS POWER IS MINE!!” you roar into the void, aura blazing so bright that the darkness is pushed back. But only for a moment, the Abyss then crashing back down upon you like a wave. Even through the power of your Berserker God the Abyss comes, swallowing you up entirely. Everything goes Dark, the Abyss burning your flesh once again as the world around you vanishes. The momentary flash of Berserker God power fades, your strength not having recovered from the first battle with Dumplin yet. And as you sink deeper and deeper into the weightless void, suddenly you hear a familiar voice.

“Well, well, well. What do we have here?” it says, you turning and looking down. Only to see a pair of fires faintly burning, only for a face to begin rising up out of the Dark. One you know all too well. “Haaaaah haaaaah haaaaaaaaah! Long time no see, Karn! What brings you to the depths of the Abyss?”
“Aku? Wha-how...?” you ask, confused. “What's going on?”
“All this shouting and yelling, of course I would hear you.” he says, his face absolutely ENORMOUS within this Abyss. “Now, what have you gotten yourself into this... Wait. This power.... That's impossible! How do you have the power of the Abyss?”

Well? What now?
>Tell Aku everything, then ask if he can help you. If there's any way he can save you and prevent the Abyss from spreading from you, as you don't want it to take your family
>Ask Aku if he can help you get this under control, to stop this Abyss from pouring from the soul you'd claimed and get it under control without relinquishing it. If the worst should ever happen again, having this in your proverbial back pocket could save your life

“Aku, can you help me?” you ask him, gesturing to the Abyss around you. “Is there a way to stop this Abyss from pouring out of the soul I obtained? Without relinquishing it, I mean. If the worst should ever happen again, I would still like to have this in my back pocket, just in case. It already saved my life once today.”
“Hrmm, let me take a look. What soul are you referring to?” he asks, pulling a pair of spectacles from his chest as if he had a shirt pocket, flicking them open and putting them on before looking you over once again. “Hrmmm. Hmmm... Ooooooooh.”

“What is it?” you ask, wondering what Aku sees.
“I am most impressed, Karn. That soul you now wield is that of my progenitor, the originator of the Abyss.” Aku says, you feeling your eyes shoot open. THAT THING was what Aku is trying to restore his power to? “The one who first brought it about into the mortal realm when his Humanity went wild. It is no wonder that you cannot contain it, as it is now that power is even still beyond me. Not by that much, as I've located most of the pieces in this timeline. But, seeing that soul for myself, it would seem I'm still missing around fifteen, maybe seventeen percent of it.”

“So, since it's the same, can you control it? Or at least how to stop it from rampaging like this?” you ask him, feeling more hopeful. “It was fine until that bastard Dumplin tried to steal my Berserker Soul, and I tapped into it to fight ba-”
“You WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!!” he exclaims, voice booming throughout the Abyss. Everything vibrates with his shout. “You willingly suffused your soul with that of Manus, Father of the Abyss?!”
“Wha...? I just tapped into that soul's power when I needed it, just like with the Berserker Soul. Or even the Super Saiyan power buried deep inside me.” you reply, not entirely sure what he's saying. But it gives you a bad feeling.

“Where? Where exactly within you did you feel this power?” he asks, raising a smaller version of himself up out of his pupil, it forming his usual shape roughly the same size as you. “Show me.”
“I felt it from here. It felt like it was on the inside of my shoulder blade, here.” you say, pointing with your right hand at the left side of your chest. To which Aku, without hesitation leans in, growing and thrusting the fingers of this tiny version's left hand straight into you! Unsure what he's doing, you grit your teeth over the pain, holding yourself as steady as possible. “Tch!”
“Oh, hold still. I know you've been through worse.” he says idly, sticking his tongue out a bit and pointing up as he works, seeing what you cannot. “Hmmmm... Oh! Oh no.”

Well, that can't be good.

“Oh no? What oh no?” you ask him, Aku not immediately answering you. Instead he withdraws his hand, stretching himself around behind you so he can see your back. “What is it?”
“It is as I feared.” he says, un-stretching and returning to being in front of you, expression seeming sad. “You have been branded. Your prolonged contact with the Soul of Manus has cursed you to be marked by the Dark Sigil.”

“Which is...?” you ask, not understanding. So Aku, raising his hands makes a rectangle, forming an image in them. One of which you can see you standing before Aku, looking into the screen. Able to see behind you. And one thing you see is a small black mark on your back, right where you'd felt the Abyss pour from earlier. Leaning in, you see that the hole, no larger than the tip of your finger is perfectly dark, some almost wisps of Abyss leaking from it. “Is that this “Dark Sigil”?”
“Yes. Which means that you've been cursed.” he tells you, sighing out as he puts his glasses away. “For a time, this will not be a cause for concern. However, the issues will start once you die.”

“What issues?” you ask him, his tone worrying. You've never seen Aku this serious and somber, not even when his daughter was taken. And his lack of usual jokes and humor is making you feel even more unsettled. “Aku, just tell it to me straight. What problems will this Dark Sigil cause?”
“Well, that's the crux of the matter.” he says, tapping a finger on his chin. “With you now branded, humanity will continue to seep from you, forever, from the Soul of Manus within you out into the world. Even death cannot stop that, as you will rise from your grave as an undead. Over and over, you will know no rest. But, that said, the way I see it you have three options.”
“Very well. Tell me.” you say, meeting Aku's gaze. Who nods, raising his fingers one by one as he gives you your options.

First choice. I remove the Soul of Manus from you. I know you wished to keep it, to have such power as a reserve. But as long as you have it, humanity, the Abyss, will continue to seep from that hole in your back forever. Eventually corrupting your world and everyone on it, tainting them all with Dark.” he says seriously. “Option two. You can attempt to destroy it. Using the fires of your Berserker Soul, you can try and extinguish that dark flame. Destroying that soul completely, feeding it to your Berserker Soul. It could destroy the Abyss entirely, or that Dark could possibly taint your power. Or, option three: you can seal it away. In the first recorded Age, the first Lord of Sunlight sealed the Dark within a ring of fire. Preventing it from escaping. Your Berserker Soul's fires can do this, preventing the spread of the Dark from you. But, branded as such by the Darksign does have.... Unintended consequences.”

“Like what?” you ask him.
“Once branded, the humans' souls were burned away with each resurrection. Leaving them as mindless hollows over time, soulless husks driven only by their desire to consume the souls of others to feed the sign's hunger. Now, as a being whose soul isn't part of the Dark Soul, as those of humanity were, I do not know the consequences of sealing this Dark Sigil within a ring of your particular fire. What this 'Berserker Darksign' could portend. But, such a thing could end up corrupting both powers over time, or even worse. It could even lead to the end of all things.”

Well? What shall you do with the Soul of Manus?
>Have Aku take the Soul of Manus from you, taking it and all of the Abyss with it to free you
>Use your Berserker Soul, tapping into the remaining power within the Soulstone to sustain you to try and burn away the Soul of Manus, incinerating the source of this Abyss to purge your body of its Dark
>Have Aku help you create this ring of fire, this 'Darksign' to reign in the Abyss and keep it from spreading

The way I see it, we really have no choice. Aku isn't strong enough to reliably control this much of Manus' Soul, nor can we risk becoming Hollow or potentially spreading the Undead Curse among New Salda.
While it may be a risk to Karn, I think destroying it is what he would choose to do under these circumstances.

“Well, I guess I only have one choice then.” you say, taking a deep breath then sighing out, using your telekinesis to pull the Soulstone from your boot. Aku looks on curiously as you levitate the stone to your left hand, clenching it in your fist. As you make contact you draw the remnants of the power Karn Jr had put into the stone out, using your son's strength to restore your exhausted form. Immediately, power begins surging into you, and not a small amount either. A FLOOD of strength fills your body, his power overflowing. “GRRRRRAAAAAAA!!”

With his strength supporting your own, you tap back into the Berserker Soul ascending once more into your Berserker God power. The lesser Aku is blown back, the giant face below pulling his smaller self back into him as he looks on silently. You know that this feeling of strength, this euphoria won't last long as the power is consumed. But you're going to give it all you've got, focusing on your insides. You turn your focus inwards, on the Abyssal Soul of Manus still radiating Darkness inside you. Focusing on it, you draw upon the full power of your Berserker Soul, putting everything you've got into it. Feeding every bit of power you've got, letting the emerald fires rage within.

“GWRRRROOOAAAAAR!!” you roar as your power explodes, energy surging throughout your body as the Berserker Soul blazes. You feel its rage incinerating the Dark that is still in your body, erasing it all. Except for the Soul of Manus itself, buried behind, no, INSIDE your left shoulder blade. You can still feel that hole in your back leaking Dark, the flow nearly staunched as your power starts consuming that Abyssal soul. Immediately the Soul of Manus blazes in response, the Dark surging as it tries to resist your power. The Abyss surges out of your back, spreading across your body. It burns on contact with your flesh, but the fire within burns hotter than the fire without. Your rage continues to blaze, you no longer roaring in rage but in pain as the two powers clash. Your body feels as if it's being turned inside out as the familiar feeling of that Abyssal fire ignites inside you, your world becoming pain. But that won't stop you, you've trained for this!

Focusing on Manus's soul you drive your own Berserker Soul's power into it, the fires of you ever-increasing wrath burning hotter and brighter as you crash the two souls directly into each other inside you. You feel both the Dark and light, tranquility and rage, Berserker vs Abyss clash for dominance of your body. The Abyss struggles, but it cannot compete as your Berserker Soul overwhelms it. The Berserker Soul consumes the Soul of Manus completely, the fires of rage devouring it. And as it does you feel like you've been shot through the chest, straight through your left shoulder as everything goes white.

You lose all your senses, even your thoughts are consumed by the blinding light. Forcing you to squint against it, then close your eyes. But the light is still too bright, you raising your arm to shield your eyes from the light. Only for an explosion of sound to deafen you, a weight dropping on your chest. However, as it hits you, a familiar smell hits your nose. And you realize that you're back home.

“Me...Lo...Ka...” you mutter, voice pained and raspy as you try and speak. Your entire body feels weak, reaching up with shaky arms and wrapping your wife in a hug.
“Karn!” she says, pressing herself desperately to you as she cries. “I thought we lost you, I thought that Darkness was going to take you.”
“It nearly did. It was a close thing, but his power prevailed.” Aku says, you looking up as your eyes adjust to see Aku standing behind you. He looks down at you, giving you a smile. “Your power prevailed, Karn. You did it. I must say, I didn't think it would work. But your Berserker Soul actually completely destroyed the Soul of Manus within you. I didn't think it was possible, but you did it.”

“Hold on. Manus, you say?” Beerus the Destroyer asks, looking over to Whis. “Why does that name sound familiar?”
“If what he's saying is true, Karn somehow acquired the Soul of Primeval Man. Although that soul is standing here before us now.” the attendant says, you seeing his expression isn't pleased as he doesn't take his eyes off Aku. “Perhaps he had a fragment of it as well?”
“Oh no, he didn't have a fragment of the soul I seek. He had the entire soul, from another reality.” Aku says, both Beerus and Whis immediately looking alarmed. “And his Berserker Soul destroyed it entirely.”

Silence hangs over the crater, you sitting up with Meloka's help. Only to telepathically tell her to look for a hole in the back of your left shoulder blade. Confused, she complies, only to think back a moment later.

“What are you talking about? There isn't any hole, just this burn mark. Are you okay?” she replies with a hint of worry, you sighing out in relief. You really did it. Even despite Dumplin, as well as the Soul of Manus' best attempts, you've survived and come out on top once more. And safe in that knowledge, you finally allow yourself to fully pass out, drifting off into well-deserved sleep. However, as your mind sinks into oblivion, for just a split-second, you see the Berserker Soul blazing within you. But, perhaps it's your imagination, but the flames themselves seem... Off. Barely noticeable, but it looks to be just a little bit... Darker than before?

And that's it for this weekend, everyone enjoy the run? Were you expecting this twist after last week, or did Dumplin's soul persisting catch you by surprise? Now that the Soul of Manus has been consumed by the Berserker Soul, that wellspring of infinite humanity burned as kindling for the Berserker Soul, how much more powerful do you think that soul will become? And, what sorts of side effects do you think doing so could have in the long term? With that Crit you got, there is no more Abyss within you, even the Dark Sigil was completely consumed. I'll certainly have to edit at least one pastebin sometime this week.

Oh yes. Learning that his Berserker Soul is strong enough to overcome one of the primal forces of Disparity is quite the shock. More to Whis than Beerus, who understands the consequences and ramifications far better.

No. That 100 means there was no actual tainting. ALL of the Abyss was consumed, none 'merging' with the soul. It was all consumed by the Berserker Soul.
>>5907038
Yes, it was a good job.
>>5907041
Ha! But no, that isn't YOUR destiny. You don't have one. Someone, or something else is tied to such a role.
>>5907042
That won't be for awhile. But she's going to examine you while you're out, as she's familiar with the taint of the Abyss.
>>5907043
Ha, but no. However, the Berserker Soul will be different. Before, two souls were merged into one, neither 'fed' to the other. But, thanks to devouring the Soul of Manus, your Berserker Soul might have a few new properties, moving forward. Tell me, do you know the most notable difference between 'normal' fire and magic vs Abyssal fire and Dark magic?
>>

I sure fucking don't.

Unfortunately I am a Bloodborne baby not a Dark Souls dick. So I do not. Does it cook steaks more evenly? Does it make it look like the sun is going behind some clouds when you look at it? Does it smell like licorice?
>>
>>5907045
>Ha, but no. However, the Berserker Soul will be different. Before, two souls were merged into one, neither 'fed' to the other. Dark related things are near/at the top of various magic/conceptual tiers due to it being the primordial form of all existence, predating life and death and all other things. So it tends to very easily burn away or consume anything that can't match its conceptual tier, which is pretty much just Old Light/Fire magic.

So I expect Berserker God to not only be even MORE Anti-Divine then before, but also given us Magical/Conceptual Protections. No more Superman Style weakness for us I think.

As too how much stronger it will get with an infinite humanity source to burn off, no idea, but I'm eager to find out. I'm just sad this happened after Chrona got the boot up her ass and ran like a bitch. Her screaming in raw terror seeing this would have been great.

Hell this makes the U6 Vs U7 and Tournament of Power alot more interesting once all those high tier deites see Karn and Whis shares what he knows.
>>
>>5907045
>Ha! But no, that isn't YOUR destiny. You don't have one. Someone, or something else is tied to such a role.
In b4 one of karns future descendents go back in time and light it with the berserker powers.
>>
One thing I will mention though, the berserker soul being strong enough to straight up eat abyss helps put in perspective it bring strong enough to tell reality falling apart to fuck right off.
>>
>>5907038
Press X to Doubt. We didn't see him completely disappear, we only think he did.
>“D-Damn it.
Your last thoughts before the void takes you are how you can fall unconscious when you're already unconscious.
Case and point. That mother fucker is going to come back again when we least suspect it.

>>
>>5907051
Speaking in strictly-game mechanics of Dark Souls, instead of only dealing magical or fire damage, Abyssal/Dark powers also inflict physical damage.
>>5907054
>Does it smell like licorice?
No, but it does make them more 'present' in reality. Instead of being more ethereal like most types of magic, it is far more physical. As a fundamental aspect of reality, it is more 'permanent', so to speak.
>>5907055
Dark doesn't predate all things, as it only came into being with the First Flame. The Dark only came with Disparity, ending the time of the unformed. But yes, as one of the core aspects of Disparity(Heat and Cold, Life and Death, Light and Dark), it is extremely powerful conceptually.
Having your anti-divine power feast upon the Fear of the old gods, taking its power to fuel itself has certainly gotten Whis's attention. You didn't absorb THE Dark Soul, the fundamental aspect of Dark, but something akin to a firstborn child of it.
>Her screaming in raw terror seeing this would have been great.
>would have
Saying that like it couldn't happen one day. She's still out there.
Champa will have a very... Visceral reaction to this news.
>>5907069
No, the Berserker Soul isn't such an 'early' concept to the universe. It wasn't discovered until long after the Lords of Fire were near-forgotten to history.
>>5907071
Exactly. This power, while not as old as the fundamental powers of existence, is a very potent one nonetheless. One based in emotion.
>>5907072
A fair point. But with his soul clinging to your own, desperately siphoning off power from you to continue existing then that being near-completely erased by battle's end, even if he somehow DID survive, it would take him longer than Plastic Man reconstituting himself from particles off the ocean floor to even reach Maz or Kayle's current levels of power, much less his strength before he fought your family.
>>5907077
Not quite. That power is born of something... Else.
>>5907084
Quite possibly. The Berserker Soul, already having near-doubled its presence with the remnants of Other Karn's Berserker Soul, is now a lot more 'real' to the universe at large. And a lot of powerful beings may have taken or will take notice of this.
>>5907089
Ha. But your power, now able to do this, may interest the would-be god killer. After all, the power to defeat even conceptual-tier powers would be of great interest to him. Especially if wielded by a filthy ningen.
>>
>>5907045

>Concerned Angel.jpg
>No. That 100 means there was no actual tainting. ALL of the Abyss was consumed, none 'merging' with the soul. It was all consumed by the Berserker Soul.
Oh....ohhhhh no...that's, I'm not sure, but I think our immunity to Time bitch is the only reason we can pull that off, and that crit retroactively affects our past as well as our future.
>Tell me, do you know the most notable difference between 'normal' fire and magic vs Abyssal fire and Dark magic?
It affects things like Gods...otherwise known as creatures beyond the touch of time, including souls....ooooh, we may have turned our soul into a conceptual parasite of fucking course we did....
>>
>>5907102
>may interest the would-be god killer.
I heard that and I was like "Oh shit Gorr is here?" and then I remembered, he's Marvel, not DC. Whew. Bullet dodged.

>Especially if wielded by a filthy ningen.

Maybe, but I'm too genre suave to not know an "if we didn't see it then he didn't die" plot hook when I see one. Blame all the hacks for instilling my skeptical and distrusting nature.

>Not quite. That power is born of something... Else.
So Dark Berserker God. Still a boon.
>>
>>5907102
Oooooh, so Champa is the one that regularly deals with the Dark then...he get leaks of it in his universe?

>>
>>5907045

It deals Physical damage? Which is ironic since darkness is abstract.
>>
>>5907118
>but I think our immunity to Time bitch is the only reason we can pull that off
It's anti-divine nature wasn't much at play here.
>and that crit retroactively affects our past as well as our future.
Not quite. But now you're even harder to pin down. The Dark is everlasting, after all. And your Berserker Soul just consumed it.
>>5907121
Nah, Marvel is U6.
Ha.
>>5907126
Being skeptical of someone truly dying was instilled in you here as well. I'm sure everyone remembers Nefarious.
Not Dark, remember, ALL the Abyss was consumed by your Berserker Soul. They weren't merged, rather, the Soul of Manus became like kindling for your power.
>>5907127
Nah, he's just more a coward than his brother.
>wants a piece
Quite the opposite. Godkiller defeats not only a deity of Order but also the ABYSS? Everyone who values their continued existence and is not blinded by arrogance is staying FAR AWAY from New Salda until your grandchildren pass away from old age.
>>5907132
Yes. But in Souls lore, the Abyss is VERY physical. It is real and it can hurt you. Even it touching you causes pain akin to burning, it can melt stone with exposure and even warp life itself.

>>
>>5907166
Ha, but no. That hasn't changed YOUR health, but has affected the longevity of your Berserker Soul. Now it not only is unaffected by Time, but also has become far more eternal.
>>5907170
Gods are arrogant. But having a mortal able to stop both Gods and the Abyss is terrifying to them.
>>5907171
No, not immortal. But your power? At this rate it will already probably outlast you.
>>
>>5907199
You see GD, we already got an eternal soul thanks to this abyss event since the berserker soul is part of karn at the end of the day, all he really needs at this point is a body to go with it.
>>
>>5907203
Cyberserker Karn?
>>
>>5907045
>do you know the most notable difference between 'normal' fire and magic vs Abyssal fire and Dark magic?
you have to spec into both faith and int (like hex's in dark souls 2)?
>>
>>5907203
I mean we could just wish for eternal youth if we really wanted to, karn just doesn't care about immortality.
>>
>>5907199
Huh. So are DDF's pacts eternal now?
Is the damage we afflict to Deities semi-permanent?
Would the Kindled Berserker Soul stay with us when we die?
Would dying while it's bound to us cause our Soul to persist in the mortal realm instead of going to Otherworld?
Is the affect of Hakai lessened on us now?
So many questions...
>>
>>5907323
pssh, frankly speaking mechikabura himself could just slap some youth onto Karn if he wanted him to stick around a few hundred extra years.
>>
>>5907447
I think our Kindled Berserker Soul can't be dragged to the afterlife....
>>
>>5907203
>eternal
Not quite. But far more permanent than it was before.
>>5907315
That’s if you’re trying to use it.
>>5907447
I think you’re misinterpreting what this has done for you. Perhaps you’ll see, soon enough…
>>5908197
True. Or just slow his aging. But, were he to try that, well… Spoilers.
>>5908238
Not necessarily. As you yourself have proven, Abyssal beings can perish. And while at least parts of particularly powerful or extraordinary souls can persist in the mortal realm for a time, souls born of the First Flame are different. They are intrinsic to the world, parts of reality itself. Light and Dark, Life and Death, they are all essential cogs in the machinery of reality.
>>
>>5908332
>Light and Dark, Life and Death, they are all essential cogs in the machinery of reality
So the Berserker Soul is an essential cog in the machinery of reality now?
>>
>>5908332
GM this might be one of those things that you have to spell it out to us, I don't know about the rest of the anons but I'm kinda retarded ngl.
>>
>>5908389
>So the Berserker Soul is an essential cog in the machinery of reality now?
Yes and no. When the four lords found the souls within the flame, each of those four, undivided souls had that power. But they shared their souls among their followers. Gwyn his knights, as well as his firstborn son the nameless god of war. Izalith her daughters, and the Pigmy King his descendants, man. And the first, primeval man: Manus. Karn now has devoured a fraction of the true Dark Soul’s power. But not the Dark of THIS timeline.
>>5908484
Fair, and same. But its something that will be learned more IC, once Towa’s explained some things.
>>
>>5908523
That's OK the berserker soul isn't even wholly of that reality to begin with, let alone the right timeline.
>>
>>5908523
Can we share the berserker soul like we did in the time city, but with any sayain?

Not necessarily a great idea, but feasible?
>>
>>5908563
Exactly. Breaking down and consuming that soul has made the Berserker Soul even stronger itself. And even more resistant to certain types of…Interference.
>>5908798
Yes. The Berserker Soul can be as concentrated or as spread thin as you want. After all, you’ve already spread it twice knowingly with your own family.

>>5908523
I tried to find evidence that gwyn or the witch or the witch of Izalith shared their souls and I couldn't find any. it seems like the only people that gywm shared his soul with were the four kings. The furtive pygmy and the dark soul were special in comparison to the other lord souls that allowed it to fragment and keep its power and even grow.
>>
>>5909090
While oversimplified, that is a good baseline understanding of what it does.
>>5909119
Ha. You’d be surprised how few repercussions you’ll experience for this. That Crit was perfectly timed.
>>5909350
Gwyn shared his soul all the time. The Four Kings, Scaleless Seath, his loyal knights. The truly only one never to split his soul in any way was Nito, first of the Dead. The Lords who inhabited Anor Londo, their souls were derivative of Gwyns. Even their soul-constructs are implied to have a very, very small piece of his soul in them to work. As the intro says, there were only four souls found within the flame. All other souls in Dark Souls are derivative, created from the splintering of one of them.
>>
>>5909379
>The truly only one never to split his soul in any way was Nito, first of the Dead.
Didn't he offer up the vast majority of his lordsoul to Death itself?
>>
>>5909391
You’re right that most of its energy had already been offered/absorbed, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the soul was “split”. More like Death had “consumed” much of its power. Much as your Berserker Soul consumed the Soul of Manus’ power. Nito never “split” the soul as the soul itself remained in one piece. Until it was split by the Chosen Undead upon killing Nito.

True, although many don't watch Dreadzone that often. They're too busy living to sit around watching. But, on the other hand, those that do also have videos like the Siege of New Salda marathon footage, as well as several angles on many of Karn's biggest battles. Trigon, the Arbiters, even Chilli's wedding were recorded.

Not necessarily in every timeline. For someone to show up in this timeline, though, they'd have to find a way through Mechikabura.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 211 Epilogue -

AGE 757, RAXUS PRIME

“Dad? Dad, what's going on?” you ask, pressing a hand to his back as your father slumps forward, body going limp.
“Don't worry, your father needs to go finish this. But be ready, he'll need you to protect him.” Whis, the God of Destruction's attendant says. Immediately causing you to start feeling panicked, but you don't panic. Taking a deep breath, you focus, readying yourself to do whatever's needed.
“Finish what? Do you know what's wrong with him?” you ask, reaching around with your other hand and pressing it to his neck, feeling for his pulse.

“Oh? Weren't you all aware? There appears to be some sort of other soul latched onto his own.” the attendant says nonchalantly, as if talking about the weather and not some evil spirit attacking your father. “It has been devouring his power since before we arrived. Surely you all could feel his power dropping?”
“Of course, but I just thought...” your mother, Meloka says, voice trailing off as she looks at him. “Hold on. No, it can't be...”
“Mom? What is it?” you ask her, feeling your father's pulse is fine as well as his breathing. But he remains hunched over, asleep despite still being in an upright, sitting position with his legs crossed.

“Dammit, why didn't I think of this? Of course that weaselly bastard wouldn't die so easily!” Towa says furiously, the demon woman marching over. “Stand back Cauli, I'm going to destroy that bastard once and for all!”
“I wouldn't do that, if I were you. Not if you value this man's life.” Whis continues casually as the Destroyer, Chaya from the other timeline and the former Time Patroller Ace battle it out in the sky. “Whatever's attached to him, if you try and remove it you'll have to damage his soul as well.”

“Then what do we do?!” your mother shouts, her voice full of worry. Worry you've grown so, so used to hearing. You are Caulifla, daughter of Karn and Meloka, Knightess of the Darkmoon, and healer of your people. With the power granted to you by the ancient deities of the long-lost city of Anor Londo, you have taken it upon yourself to heal others, a calling which has caused you to see many terrible things. But you wouldn't abandon it for anyone, as without you by now hundreds of your fellow Saiyans would have passed away, including no doubt your own family. And if someone else had the power to save YOUR family and didn't, you doubt you would ever forgive them. “How do we help him?”

“For now, the best way to assist him is to be aware of him. And to not move him while he's fending off that parasite.” Whis says, then turns to you. “But you know something that could help him, I assume?”
“Yes, I know a few that could empower him. Not sure how much help they'll be to his soul though.” you reply, leaving your left hand on his back below his left shoulder while passing your chime up to your right hand with your tail. Taking it in your grip, you bow your head and start quickly chanting the words, hoping to empower your father's strength. Only to suddenly feel something wet and lukewarm start running down your hand. It feels almost sticky like blood, you opening your eyes and looking up only to freeze. The words catch in your throat as you see something that chills you to your core. On your father's shoulder, you see a dark hole has opened up, spilling darkness down his back. Or, rather, Dark. “-! N-No way...!”

“Caulifla, what are you...? Oh... Oh no...” Towa says, having walked around to see what you're staring at. From her voice you can tell she's just as terrified as you are, your eyes still fixated on the sign of Dark. “That's not possible.”
“What are you both- Oh my...” Whis says, also having walked around to look at what you see. The shock finally wears off as others all crowd around to look, you shouting.
“EVERYONE GET BACK!” you shout, even the noise of combat overhead stopping as you shout in your most serious, authoritative tone. Just like your Daddy taught, teaching his students. “ITS THE ABYSS!”

Immediately recognizing the severity of the situation you don't jerk your hand away, last thing you want is to swing it around and sling the Dark on any of your family. Your mind goes into overdrive, trying to discover any way out of this. But your mind only reaches one conclusion, much as you don't want to ruin his time with his family so soon. You have to call your brother.

“Chilli, Dad needs your help!” you think to your older brother, reaching out telepathically to him. “It's the Abyss, it is somehow pouring out of his back!”
“Dammit. Alright, I'm on my way.” he replies, and before you can end the mental link suddenly you sense his ki beside you. The next instant he's there behind you, looking over your shoulder. “Oh, oh no. This isn't good.”
“What can we do to help him?” you ask, not moving your hand despite the Dark slowly spreading over it. “It's coming out his back here, which means-”
“Which means the Dark's somehow gotten into him.” your brother replies, you hearing the Destroyer's attendant mutter another “Oh my”.

“HEY! What's going on down there?” you hear the Destroyer shout from overhead, a note of annoyance in his voice. “What's everyone looking at?”
“Daddy?” you hear that other Chaya call, sounding ready to jump down herself.
“Stay back everyone, Karn's leaking Dark.” Chilli says, his voice not booming but still sounding very commanding. “I'm going to try and keep this contained, everyone except Caulifla please step back. Auntie Towa, mind erecting a barrier around us?”

“Of course. One moment.” she replies, you sensing her fly up directly over the both of you. Then her 'infinity' emblem with the sides opened, forming a slanted 'x' appears on the ground beneath the three of you, glowing faintly. Another second later a cylinder of magical energy springs up around you all, cutting your senses of everything outside it off completely. You can't sense any ki besides your brother, Towa, and your Dad's. “There. This Dimension Shift barrier should keep it from spreading any further.”
“Thanks. Now, let's see...” your brother mutters, creating a small crystal blade and sticking it into the dark hole in your father's back. You watch in confusion as he sticks the ENTIRE thing into your father's back, letting go as the Darkness or something within it grabs the crystal. It pulls the crystal down into the depths, your brother grumbling and muttering to himself. “Hrmmm. This isn't good.”
“Can you stop it?” you ask him, Chilli seemingly not hearing you as the Dark starts to burn, you wincing at the sudden pain. “Tch!”

“Shit. Hold still sis.” he says, lowering his right hand and clasping your left just below your wrist. Crystals sprout across the back of your hand, wholly encasing the top half of your hand in a second. “Okay, now pull your hand out. Slowly.”
“Right.” you reply, lowering your hand. And to your relief the crystals hold the Dark that was on you in place, allowing you to lower your hand. Sighing out you draw your hand in, checking to make sure the contact with the Dark didn't damage you. The back of your hand looks burned, but it isn't severe. You can leave it alone until later, right now you have to save your Dad. “I'm clear. Now what do we do? Want me to try healing the hole?”
“You can try, but it won't do anything.” Whis says, you turning and watching him somehow open Towa's barrier, stepping through and letting it seal back behind him with seemingly zero effort. What in the hell IS he? “That is the Dark Sigil. Something I haven't seen in a long, long time. And even longer since I've seen one not ringed in fire.”

“Ringed in fire?” Chilli asks him, not reacting to the fact the Destroyer's attendant somehow just opened and stepped through Towa's barrier like opening a door.
“Wait, hold on. Do you mean that this...?” you ask, unable to finish the sentence.
“Yes. The precursor to the Darksign, folly of the first Lord of Light.” Whis replies almost wistfully, as if remembering it. But that's impossible, there's no way he's as old as the universe itself. Is he? “The symbol of fear, of oppression. Of defying the order of the universe, nearly destroying all that ever was and could be. All for one man's ambition, and fear.”

Immediately you wonder of if Gwyndolin, Gwyn's child knows of this, that his father's actions put reality itself in danger. But shrug it off, as there are more important questions than this.

“How do we stop it?” you ask, looking over to him. Only to see the attendant's expression, immediately fearing the worst. “We CAN stop it, right?”
“Unfortunately, it would seem that your father has become a vessel. A conduit for the Dark itself. However....” he says, brows furrowing as he suddenly steps closer, studying the Dark Chilli'd crystallized as more drips down onto it from this 'Dark Sigil'. “Hmmm. This is odd.”
“What is it?” Chilli asks, turning to look to him. No doubt understanding that this being knows a lot more than any of you assumed.

“This Dark. There's something... Off, about it. It doesn't belong.” he says, then turns his head to look directly at Towa knowingly. “Like you. It isn't from this timeline.”
“What? Are you saying that I had something to do with this? You dare accuse me?” Towa replies with a note of genuine anger in her voice, flashing up into her Demon God form before continuing. “Choose your words carefully, Angel. I love that man and would never betray him!”
“Not even to have a bastard behind his back?” Whis retorts evenly, you hearing Towa make a noise as if someone started strangling her for a moment. But you've heard enough.

“This isn't helping him. Everyone, stop arguing and focus!” your order, fixing your gaze on your father's back as Dark continues seeping from him. Assuming your clinical seriousness, cutting through personal problems of staff to save a patient's life. “How do we save him? Any ideas?”
“If you kill him, the Dark will cease spreading from him.” Whis, who apparently is an angel says, voice very matter of fact. “From what I can see, your father's body currently contains four souls.”
“Four?” Chilli asks, your brother shaping extra crystal from that of your handprint and turning it more into a bowl shape, catching all the Dark spilling from his back. “What do you mean, four?”

“His own soul is in battle with another, one who feels more demonic than anything. Although, there's something definitely off about this being. I've never felt anything quite like it before.” Whis says casually, still seeming unconcerned with everything happening. Which, if he's lived long enough to have met Gwyn without time travel, perhaps he's seen so many bizarre things this isn't even remarkable? “A Demon God I'm not familiar with is battling him, drawing upon the third soul within him. That of his power you all refer to as Berserker, that pained, furious soul. But Karn here has seemingly found another soul somewhere in another realm, one brimming with Dark. It had been dormant within him up until now, but something has caused it to awaken. No doubt, Karn is trying to use its power to destroy that force feeding on his normal power.”

“Can he do it?” Towa asks him with a voice full of worry, doubting your Dad for some reason. “Do you think it is enough?”
“It is hard to say. Whether or not he can do so in time is the more important question.” Whis replies, your stomach turning queasy. “As he's already falling to it.”

And as you all look back at your Dad, your eyes widen in terror. From all over his body you see small beads of Dark, almost like sweat coming out of him. In horror you watch as his entire body is rapidly consumed by the Dark, leaving him a silhouette of himself in just seconds.

“Dammit, I'm going to get him out of there!” Chilli says, drawing his Light and Dark magics in opposing hands. Only for, surprisingly, Whis to blur forward, catching your brother's hands.
“I wouldn't do that. You know as well as I that time holds no sway over the Dark. Using Chaos Magic here can only worsen the situation.” the angel says seriously, then letting him go. “Don't do it.”
“I have to do something! I'm not going to sit here and watch the Abyss take my father!” Chilli replies, when suddenly you remember. Back to your time fighting the Abyss and its monsters with your father, what he told you after of his fight with the Abyss Dragon. And how he got the weapon he'd battled it with. And, suddenly, you have an idea!

“Wait, Chilli! I got it!” you say, backing up from your father as a puddle of Dark starts spreading out in a puddle beneath him. “Dad's sword! Remember what he told us of how he got it?”
“Huh? You mean how he saved another Aku and brought...It.... You're a genius Cauli!” he declares, raising both hands overhead. You all watch as he begins forming a familiar shape with the crystals until they shatter, revealing your father's weapon upraised above him. The fabled blade of the Abyss Walker himself, Knight Artorias.

“Interesting.” is all the angel has to say as your brother steps closer to your Dad, then with a shout plunges the blade down into the puddle of Dark growing out from him. Immediately black flames burst into being all over the Dark, it visibly writhing in pain. But then, just after the flames erupt, a familiar voice calls to you all.
“Hey, pull that out! I'm trying to help Karn over here, and that's not helping!” the Dark enveloping your Dad says, your jaw dropping. No way.
“AKU?!” you exclaim, stunned. “What the hell are YOU doing here?!”

“I sensed Dark appearing, thinking it was the last missing piece of my progenitor. Instead, I find your father, screaming into the void.” Aku, the Shapeshifting Master of Darkness says, his form rising up out of the puddle your father's Dark made as Chilli withdraws the blade. He smiles, turning to your brother to thank him only for his eyes to go wide, seemingly shocked by what he sees. “Oh! Good afternoon, Whis. I hadn't seen you there. Pardon my rudeness.”

And to your even greater surprise, Aku suddenly gives an extravagant bow to the angel. What in all the hells across all of time is going on?!

>tfw Beerus showing up is getting one-upped by a glorious clusterfuck of everything proportions
Karn just CAN'T STOP MOGGING

Ha. But I did want to show more of what happened, just ran out of time this week. Perhaps we’ll discover more, either IC or through the next epilogue/intermission.
>>
>tfw beerus has no clue what's going on and just wants to eat some food and take a nap.
>>
>>5912355
I get the feeling he only agreed to let Meloka stay on his planet so he could bum food off us.
>>
>>5912394
I mean I legitimately don't blame him, his life seems pretty comfy all things considered and it's not his fault the time Kai is an incompetent jackass that caused massive problems in his universe.
>>
>>5912355
Ha. He does sort of just stand around at times, bemused by the mortals’ antics.
>>5912394
No, he already knows Silver directly plus has a line of contact with King Cold. He doesn’t necessarily “need” you.
>>5912414
True. But as for time “invaders”, that isn’t his purview so isn’t getting involved. Too much hassle for no reward.

24 hours to go, until a new day dawns on New Salda.

You ever think its dumb that the skot doesn't have a destroyer of time in canon?
I do.

Why would she? The Time Kai is easily able to delete scrolls herself, as Aeos proves later in Heroes, meaning there’s no need.

Speaking of later Heroes/Legends stuff, can't wait to see what you have planned with Shallot and Giblet.

>what you have planned with Shallot and Giblet
Well for now all I’ll say is that they will instantly recognize Karn’s power for what it is. And someone may have already recruited them both…
