Platinum-3
Situated within the expansive portfolio of exoplanetary developments under the purview of JCJenson IN SPAAAAACE!!!!, Platinum-3 stood out as a celestial entity boasting a thriving industrial foundation, which seamlessly transitioned into a substantial residential and recreational sector. This transformation positioned Platinum-3 as a standout jewel within JCJenson's esteemed collection of space colonization endeavors.
Regrettably, the considerable profitability associated with this planetary asset faced neutralization due to an incident that continues to confound top analysts, who are currently grappling with the classification of the event as either an unfortunate consequence of worker negligence or a meticulously orchestrated act of sabotage. Although the ramifications were not as severe as a core collapse, the power network failure experienced by Platinum-3 triggered a mass extinction event of analogous impact. In adherence to established corporate protocols, disassembly drones were deployed to the planet to conduct necessary dismantling for security considerations.
Despite some minor setbacks, warranting the deployment of additional disassembly drones, progress has been satisfactory.

The truth, as always, is far worse.
But first, what are you?

The shadow of a winged figure flies over the darkened remains of urban ruins. Soundlessly soaring through the air with a sublime grace, you let your gaze fall to a tiny figure trudging through the snow, leaving a hasty trail of sloppy footprints. You dip towards the ground, the bones of old skyscrapers passing you as the speck gets larger and larger as well. You can hear his breathing as his light blue eyes flash at you in a panicked stare. He stumbles but does not fall, continuing his manic sprint with an extra haste. But it is ultimately useless as you’re practically on top of him within a second. You…

>pierce his head, killing him instantly as you remove your bladed fingers out to let the drone’s oil flow gently from the wound.
>spin him around and swipe your knife hand across his torso, disemboweling him. His oil splashes over your face and clothing as he lets out a dying stammer.
>grasp his head with one hand as you effortlessly rip it off. Oil sputters from his neck as his body stands motionless before falling to the ground.
>write-in

With your thirst quenched, your attention turns to the corpse ziggurat that surrounds the craft that brought you to this planet. Two other winged figures fly towards it. You grab what remains of your victim and take to the sky to rendezvous with your fellow disassembly drones.

You gently adjust the body of the worker drone as you place it on the pile of robot bodies. Your clawed hands adjust the limbs to make it look like he just now realized he had a hole blown through his head. You feel you’ve done a good job capturing his stupidity and general brainlessness both before and after you were through with him. You take a glance at your other macabre artworks, various bodies showcasing both horror and comedy. A particular favorite of yours is a decapitated head with two hands placed upon it in a scream, situated at an angle so that it appears she is exclaiming in horror at another corpse arranged in a humorous fallen pose with a leg bent and arm thrown behind the back.

Not wanting to keep your comrades waiting, you crawl over the cadaver mountain and enter its hollow inside from a small opening near the top. You release your grip and float to the ground, retracting your wings and claws back to a normal five digit hand. You see Tau and Delta in similar form. Tau has a slight easygoing grin and half opened eyes that are his signature expression. His dark gray robe and flowing grayish hair would create the image of a very peaceful robot, if not for the yellow armband branded with the image of a skull on his left arm. “Brother Sigma, I’m glad you could make it.” He greets you mellowly.

The veiled figure of Delta turns to give her own salutations. She stares at you for a moment with furrowed brows and a snarl before barking insults at you.
“What were you doing on patrol?! We just had one of those renegades sneak into our pod because you’d rather play around with bodies instead of doing even half the job you’re supposed to.”

She raises a balled fist and takes a step towards you. Tau raises an open palm to stop her as he begins to speak.

"Calm down Sister Delta, such an accident is little reason for scorn when there is still time to remedy it.” He turns to you with a half smile as he clasps his hands together.

“I’m afraid Sister Delta is right about the intruder.” Tau points towards
>A single tire trail, the worker drone came in here on a bike of some sort
>A trail of single footprints with a great distance between them, the worker drone has an extraordinary leap

“Luckily the tracks are fresh, I have no doubt you’ll be able to reach them before they reach safety. Or if you feel this may be out of your abilities we shall accompany you, there is no shame in accepting the help of your fellows.” Tau finishes with a serene smirk.

You bring a hand to the top of your head, brushing the hood of your cloak as you swing it out in an insincere salute. You pivot away and into the cold, your wings unfolding as you send yourself skyward with a single flap.

You glide above the ground, tracking the solitary marks in the snow that are beginning to disappear as the wind blows fresh snow over them. The sparse tracks terminate between a cluster of deprecated high rises. Your band of eyes peer over the surface of the hulks, unable to see into the deepest parts of the shadowed buildings.

The snow crunches under your feet as you slowly descend, wings folding out of sight. The sleeves of your cloak droop as your hands revert to the unthreatening five digit configuration from the talons that you had previously displayed. You lock them together behind your back, the dark cloth hiding the color of your body, making your silhouette closer to that of a mobile shadow than anything else. You step into the shade of the urban ruins, rising slightly from the ground as you enter an empty door frame.
The wind whispers in the confines of the metal hulk, the whooshing masking the soft tap of metal on concrete as you leisurely walk through the building. You slowly climb up flight after flight of stairs, taking glances at rooms filled with overturned, decayed, and destroyed furniture.

Finally you enter a level surrounded by empty window panes stretching from the floor to the ceiling. The wind carries a few snowflakes gently into the building, the glow of the star reflects off the ice, shining briefly before floating into the dark. Standing there clad in dark red cloth, a cape flutters as a hooded head remains staring out into the snow covered remains of civilization. They have not yet seen you.

You pace stealthily towards the drone. Perfectly silent, you close the distance until you are mere inches away from the drone. You speak a single word in a voice barely louder than a whisper.
“Hello.”

The drone swiftly turns to face you, a feminine gasp escaping from her as you get a glance at the hollow white eyes of fear on her screen. The drone shuffles back, heavy boots scraping across the ground. Her gloved hands are clenched tight, one in a fist over the chest and the other kept near the side, the thick handwear obscuring whatever tool or weapon she may wear on the hip. She stares at you with solid white eyes now, while a mask covers her mouth, the simulated eyebrows portray an alertness that is focused squarely on you.

The standoff continues as you both remain motionless, locked in a stare. The quiet whispers and distant howls of the wind fill the air in the absence of action. The drone speaks first, breaking the mutual silence.
“What are you doing?” She asks, a hint of annoyance in the query.

You respond with a face of mocking confusion, digital eyebrows perched high in parody. Now whatever displeasure the drone had is brought to the front as she groans before speaking again.

“Why haven’t you killed me? I’ve seen you and your kin’s work, why extend mercy to me?” She relaxes as she uses her hand to emphasize the questions. Her eyes halved in doubt as she points an open hand towards you, waiting for an answer.

You shift back, lowering your head slightly in a show of humility as you answer her.
“You’re cool.”

You allow her a moment to process what you said, taking note of her bewildered eyes before you continue.
“Standing there with your cape fluttering in the wind, cloaked in shadow as you stare out into the ruins of this world all mysterious-like. How could I not take interest?”

Your attempt at furthering the poor drone’s confusion seems to work, you catch the lines of a blush under hollow eyes. They disappear as she waves a hand dismissively before recomposing herself.
“That can’t be it. There are certainly others who were as cool as me. Or am I truly the first one to pique your tastes in the mystifying?” She asks as she makes a slow, deliberate strut to the side, letting her legs extend fully in an alluring manner. She uses a hand to push her cape back, letting it flourish in the air before settling. She places her hands akimbo as she leans to the side, Her visor displays a coquettish pair of squinted eyes and raised brows.

You give the worker drone a playful smile as you unfold your arms and raise them into a shrug. “You truly are one of a kind. The dark caped beauty of Platinum-3.” You say as you step into the dim light, letting the pale illumination pierce the shadow of your hood.

Now it is the worker drone who obscures herself, casting a glance to the side to hide her expression before turning back to you. She takes a sauntering step towards you, remaining at an arm’s length before responding.
“Are you coming on to me reaper? You’re certainly a live wire.”

You chuckle and roll your shoulders back, extending your arms and letting the palms face the ceiling. “You’re just the first drone to get me energized.”

As you do this she closes the distance, her face inches away from yours in a display of a provocative stare as she speaks.
“How about we go somewhere a bit more secret to talk about this in detail?”

“I’m listening.” You answer as your visor instinctually displays a look of curiosity as she backs up.

“There’s a bunker underneath the JCJ Maintenance garage east of here. Even if you haven’t seen it you could always follow my tracks.” She adds with a wink.

You propose to the worker drone a different arrangement.

“Why walk? I can carry you there far faster.” Your wings slowly unravel, letting their full size stretch into the open for emphasis on your ability.

Your offer surprises her, she brings hand to her chin and keeps it there while in thought. She answers shortly after.

“Sure.” She walks up to you and curtly places her hands on her hips. “I hope I’m not too heavy for you.”

You respond with a smile as you swiftly lift the worker drone into your arms, holding her back and leg and eliciting a surprised shout before she re-adjusts herself.

With your hands firmly gripping one another, you sprint towards the blown out window, leaping into the frigid air as your wings carry you to higher altitudes.

You soar above the snow caked ruins, your drone passenger’s gaze set to the ground, likely trying to spy the garage from this new angle. Luckily you have a good idea as to what ruin she is referring to and have already pointed yourself towards it. The two of you are alone with only the dull glow of the stars shining on you. Even the fierce winds of the storm that ravages the planet have quieted below a whisper.

You point your head towards the ground, creating an illusion of searching the surface as you prepare to make the hapless worker drone held in your arms the victim of a prank. Jerking yourself upwards as if hit by a stray gust, you let your arm slide out from under the drone’s legs as the hand on your other arm rotates to remove the grip you had on her.

You let out an audible “whoops” as gravity pulls the cloaked drone towards land. She begins a scream of panic that starts to deafen as she falls. You dive after her, doing your best to look as surprised about these turn of events as she is.

The wind rushes past you as the both of you hurtle towards the ground, the distance between the two of you steadily decreasing. Soon enough you have grabbed her by the leg, but you decide not to end the merriment so quickly. Attempting to make the rescue seem like a hasty over-estimation, you swing the worker drone quite hard. She yelps as she is hurled back into the air, and you rocket yourself towards her to snatch her out of freefall.

The second time you grab the drone her hand clamps down on your arm in a deathgrip. The other grips your shoulder with the same strength. She stares at you with hollow eyes that with her mask belie her feelings. You decide that it’d be too hard to make another fall seem like an accident and hold her once again. Her eyes return to their usual whiteness as she speaks “I didn’t know murder drones could be so clumsy.”

You have a light laugh at the remark, and glide towards the ground near to the garage that you hope is the one the worker drone was alluding to earlier. It’s an unremarkable structure, as rundown as any other ruin on the planet. The emblem of your corporate overlords is still visible, and the word garage is worn but legible. As you set down and study the building trying to see why your travel partner would want to come here, she moves ahead towards the entrance, stopping right in the doorframe to turn back and look at you.

“What are you waiting for? Come on.” She says as she gestures for you.

You follow her signal, striding behind her and into the building. You cast your gaze to the ceiling as you step through the door frame, eyes moving across your face as you look for any sign of danger.

You also keep on the worker drone, her cape swaying as she casually walks over the frosted concrete and tile. Stepping over some spare parts and miscellaneous tools she speaks to you without bothering to turn around.

“Watch where you step, there's all sorts of junk lying around here. I’m not sure if the roof is all that stable either.”

You easily step over some of the scrap before checking the ceiling to see if it’s really that bad. Unfortunately as you momentarily check the garage’s structural integrity your foot snags on something, and you see a pile of falling metal.

You leap to avoid the iron avalanche, but you are too slow. A stack of pipes and sheets pin you from the waist down. Lying flat on your torso you’re only able to tap the metal entrapping you with your claw hands.

Luckily your worker drone companion notices your predicament. “I told you to watch out. You sure are clumsy for a murder done aren’t you?” she jokes as she leans down to get a better look at your humiliating position.

“Just help me out of here.”
You can’t shake the feeling that this was an ensnarement meant for you, and as opposed to greeting the hooded drone with a more humorous response you simply set your acid filled tail to work pushing and stabbing at the metal closest to it.

To her credit the worker drone starts throwing aside the topmost pieces swiftly, and she repurposes one of the pipes to lift the heavier junk off of you as you crawl out and dust off your robe. You follow her much more closely as she leads you to a small room, a large table set aside along with some thrown about human skeletons tell you she’s been here before.
“Over here.” She points down a small flight of stairs that leads you to a wide metal door, a set of keys and an empty black screen are set on the wall beside it. The worker drone steps to the side and gestures to the door with both of her hands.
“Here’s your chance to disassemble something that isn’t a drone.”

You step right up to the entrance, figuring out how you’re going to get through this obstacle

“Did you try to open this thing yourself?” You say as you study the design of the door more closely.

“Yeah. I tried the controls but I didn’t know the password. Tried to wedge it open but it wouldn’t budge.” She speaks as you hear her footsteps from pacing side to side.

You stare at the middle of the door, notting scratches and other signs of general wear, but no obvious damage that you can really claw into.

“How did you even find it?” You ask as you deploy your set of claw hands, prodding and scrapping for any crevice to fill.
“Well I look around the ruins a lot. I’m pretty thorough so finding the staircase wasn’t that hard.” She answers your question quickly. There’s a soft thud as you assume she stops her pacing to lean on the wall.

As your suspicions rise you begin to pull on the doors. The metal groans as your talons cut into them. You pose one final question as the doors begin to separate.

“Why do you even want to know what’s behind it? There’s not a lot a drone would need in a room probably sealed for a human.” The creak of metal grinding against metal echoes as you pull harder.

You catch the worker drone walking up to your side in your peripheral vision she answers as she tries to peek through the gap you’re creating.

“I think there’s more bunkers like this. I’m hoping there's something in here that’ll make opening the others easier.”
“You want me to open this door so you can open another door?”
“Aren’t you curious about what was going on here, you don’t think all this happened by accident?”
You turn to give the drone nothing more than an emotionless stare from the shadow of your hood. Her visors squint in what you assume is embarrassment.
“Humans might not be the smartest but they don’t just blow up a planet with themselves on it. Something happened and I want to know.”

You feel the doors give and push them back into their slots, you’re about to speak to the worker drone when the both of you see a red beam extend down the hall and stay right on your center.

You’re already beginning to move yourself when another mass, the worker drone, collides with you, sending both of you tumbling towards the sides as the sound of gunfire thunders in the hallway. As you lie with the drone on top of you, you see two smal discuses with serrated edges fly past you and up the stairs.

You share a look of surprise with your compatriot, get up and
