With the defeat of Majin Buu and the Remnants at the Battle of Namek, peace has come to the Seventh Universe. With no imminent battles to fight or wars to wage, the Saiyans have enjoyed their first long-term peace since their ancestors first landed on Planet Vegeta all those years ago. Yet this peacetime hasn't slowed the progress of the warrior race known as the Saiyans, whose power have continued to grow day after day. Foremost among this warrior race is the Fateless man known as the “Dragon of New Salda” and the first Super Saiyan to have appeared in a thousand years.

You the players play as this warrior named Karn in the year Age 756 normally, a man who has grown from a brawler with a powerlevel less than three thousand to now being the strongest of his kind, wielding the ancient emerald power of the Berserker and father of nearly a dozen children with his wife Meloka. However, this time, we'll be assuming Meloka's point of view for the titular Battle of Gods, for reasons soon revealed.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After the battle with Beerus the Destroyer, Karn agreed to take Freeza in on the condition the former emperor never abandon his training again before speaking with Broly, learning of his and Kori's intentions. The next morning he'd awoken already transformed, fighting for control of himself then sparring Freeza, tapping into both Berserker Souls. Then after a day of training, Karn was confronted by none other than the Supreme Kai of Time herself, Karn calling his son to fight as well. But after the brief confrontation, Karn discovered troubling information he may not have been supposed to hear. But as we rejoin Karn the next morning, thoughts of what she'd said to him still linger as Towa reaches out to his family telepathically.

“Is everyone ready?” Towa asks, you all agreeing. Then, in a flash everything changes. No longer are you on your homeworld, but in Towa's realm outside the flow of time on your world. You all appear together, landing in the lab where the demon princess usually works. “Excellent. Another successful jump.”
“Yeah.” you say, thoughts still heavy with what you'd learned. Does Chronoa know about this, how you do it? Where you all are right now, but doesn't interfere to keep things going as they have been for countless realities? Or are you actually safe from her here?

“Karn? Karn, is everything okay?” Towa asks, snapping you out of your thoughts.
“Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine.” you reply, shaking your head a bit to clear the thoughts from your mind. Pushing the existential thoughts away you focus on what's important, the here and now with your half-demon children.
“That Berserker God power's something else. I want to see how strong it is for myself.” your oldest, Maza says. The boy, no, man is now probably in his twenties, standing near as tall as he does when transformed. “You think you can keep it controlled enough that we can throw down?”

“Maybe, we'll have to ask your mother if there's a room that can take it.” you tell him, patting him on the head.
“Father, I've been working hard since last time. And I've got a new spell I want to try.” your daughter Milha says, giving you that wicked grin. At first you'd found it unsettling, the red dots of her eyes tiny in her large eyes, smile just a bit too unnatural. But now you don't even react to it as you know she's just really eager to show off her powers. “This one's especially vicious. It can now condense a week's worth of burning, electrocution, and freezing all into a five-minute span!”

“Oh really? Well, we'll have to see if I can take that one later.” you reply to her with a smile and pat her on the head atop her giant hat. She gives you a wider grin, peering up at you from below her wide brim before turning to your youngest half-demon teenager Koruza. “How about you two, how have you been?”
“We have been doing well, Dark Rider has a new ability.” he says excitedly, his Stand appearing behind him. “When you get some time, I'd like to show you.”
“That sounds great.” you tell him, patting your youngest on the head. Despite being the youngest he's still in his teens, and finally hitting his growth spurt as well, his head nearly coming to your chin. Over these past few years you've been training to battle Beerus and protect your home, everyone's really grown up.

But who do you go with first?
>Maza, see how your powers stack up against his own
>Milha, you know she hasn't gotten to use her magic against anyone while you've been gone and is looking forward to it
>Koruza, you're curious what this new ability of his Stand could be

“We'll all get time to just us, but first your mother and I need to talk.” you tell your half-demon children, all of who accept what you say without complaint and move on from you, going to talk to their half-siblings as you step away to the demon princess. Who is looking at you with genuine worry in her eyes, brows furrowed as you approach.
“This is unexpected. Did something happen?” she asks, which confirms another worry. Whatever the Supreme Kai of Time had done to stop time when you and Chilli had attacked, she couldn't tell at all. “I know you and Chilli managed to run off the Supreme Kai of Time, but-”
“We need somewhere more secure to talk.” you tell her seriously. “Somewhere no one can overhear us.”

You can feel Meloka's sudden attention on your back, but she doesn't say or think any questions to you. Instead she trusts you, but you know that she'll have questions for you when its over.

“Well, alright. Come with me.” she says, turning to a solid wall and pressing her hand to it. The wall itself wavers and fades away, it seeming like the same sort of magic still present down in the M'lurnian ruins on New Salda. She walks in, you following her as she walks over to a square on the wall, pressing her hand to it and causing the wall to reappear behind you both, leaving you both in darkness. “Mind giving us some light?”
“Sure.” you reply, then with a thought transforming into your Berserker form. Emerald light illuminates the darkness, Towa leading you to what seems to be a vault door with an electronic keypad. She quickly types in a dozen or so keys, the lock clicking audibly and the door swinging inwards silently.

“Go on in.” she says, you stepping into the vault first. You walk in, seeing an odd, stone table covered in old, dried blood in several points. After a couple seconds you hear the lock click behind you, turning to see Towa sealing the door. “Surprised? I only found this room by accident. Seems that, whoever that other me was that built this lab had her own secrets. This room is completely sealed, even Mechikabura can't sense us or enter into this room except through the door. The magical seals are unexpectedly powerful. Now, what is this about?”
“When the Supreme Kai of Time showed up, what all did you see?” you ask her seriously. Towa's brows furrow, no doubt sensing something. “I need to know what you didn't see.”

“Hold on. Didn't see?” she asks, a note of concern in her tone. “What do you mean?”
“Just tell me what all you saw from here. I need to know if I was the only one who saw what happened.” you tell her. “I need to know.”

“Very well. When she first stopped time after you'd landed, the two of you talked as you clearly reached out to Chilli. How she talked about your power being 'wrong',” Towa says, summing up the battle as how your son nearly killed her, the Supreme Kai of Time rewinding herself and undoing the damage. But then she snaps her fingers, disappearing and ending the time stop.
“That was all you'd seen?” you ask, Towa growing even more worried. “Karn, what happened?”

“When she snapped her fingers, she didn't leave.” you say, Towa's jaw dropping a bit in shock. “She somehow stopped time more, walking past me and saying how your son could 'do a lot of good one day, if he fought for the right side', and then what she said to you. How the two of you 'always' fight the same way, only for Mechikabura to 'always' betray you and force you to turn to her for help getting revenge against the Demon God. And, even more worryingly, how Mechikabura presumably 'infected' the Berserker Soul from the other reality with his own power to control you when tapping into it. Towa listens quietly as you talk, looking more and more shocked as you continue. Ending with how, before she left said that you only had a few more years of peace left.

Once you finish talking Towa doesn't immediately answer, sitting on her floating god-slaying spear Godsend as she puts a hand to her chin. The silence hangs over you both as Towa thinks over what all you said to herself. However, as the two of you stay in the room silently, you feel your attention being drawn to the stone table. With Towa deep in thought you walk over to it, looking at the strange sigils and symbols carved into it. Several seem almost designed to catch and pool the blood spilt upon it, while others clearly directed the flow of fresh blood towards them. Making you wonder what sort of rituals this other Towa conducted, and how that might have been connected to the Dark lurking down below on the lowest level.

“This is bad.” Towa finally says, you turning to her to see her worried face. “If Mechikabura doesn't know this, then we could all be walking into a trap invading Conton City. But if he does, then are they on the same side? Have the two of them just been resetting time over and over again, playing a never ending game with our lives? I don't like the implications, and I hate being in the dark worse.”
“But what can we DO about it?” you ask her. “How do WE win and come out on top?”
“I don't know.” Towa replies, sighing out and sounding defeated. “I just don't know. Without more information, there's little we can do.”

“We have to do something. I won't let either of them hurt my family.” you say, then have another thought. “Speaking of, where's Chaya? She wasn't here, but is usually the first to rush at me.”
“She and Ace are out on a mission for Mechikabura, it should be over shortly.” Towa says, but you can tell from her tone change that she's not happy the two of them aren't here after hearing this news. “But we need answers.”

“Alright, how do we get them?” you ask her. “What's the plan?”
“The way I see it, we have only two choices.” she tells you. “Either we confront Mechikabura directly and see what he says. Or we hide it. Keep this to just us, don't tell another soul, and gather more information from every interaction with him. Try and ask innocent questions, maybe about your Berserker power as we try and get enough information to see whose side he really is on. I'll leave this to you, how do you want to handle it?”

“I think we have to confront him, see how he reacts to the news.” you tell her after several seconds of silence. “He may be on her side, and if so there's nothing I can think of that we can do about that. But if he isn't aware this isn't the first time the Supreme Kai of Time has reset reality, then he needs to know this immediately. We could all be walking into a trap, or worse.”
“As much as I don't like this, I have to agree.” she replies, standing and walking back towards the door. “When Future Chaya and Ace return from their mission, we'll confront Mechikabura with what you've discovered and see how he reacts. I just hope he's on our side.”

The two of you exit the hidden ritual space, plan in mind and returning to the lab just as your daughter from a different reality appears. Future Chaya and Ace step through a dark portal, Towa closing the hidden wall behind you both a moment before Mechikabura himself steps through. And, to your surprise, he shows up with none other than Dumplin and Fu as well, one at either side of him.

“DADDY!” Future Chaya shouts out, leaping at you in a blur of crimson. She grabs and squeezes you tight, you feeling your bones creak for a moment before she lets go. “I totally forgot you were coming back today!”
“It's alright kiddo, glad to see you.” you tell her, pulling your left free and ruffling her crimson hair. “We'll talk in a minute, I gotta deal with something first.”
“Huh? Oh, okay.” she replies, clearly confused but letting you go as you face Mechikabura directly. Him appearing with backup is worrying, you telepathically telling Future Chaya and Ace both to be on guard in case things go wrong. Then, before they can reply you end the link, stepping forward to the Demon God.

“Karn. I take it you wish to talk about your confrontation with the Supreme Kai of Time yesterday?” he asks, to which you nod. The corner of his mouth turns up, the Demon God snapping his fingers and conjuring a wooden throne, sitting down with a sigh before speaking again. “While you two didn't get her, I have to say I am impressed. Your son nearly killed her.”
“That's not what I want to talk about.” you tell him, the demon raising a brow. “But what happened after.”
“You mean her healing? Well, with her power over time, she is able to rewind herself, reverting her body to how it was before taking the injuries.” he answers, you shaking your head. “No? Then what? After she healed, Chronoa retreated, clearly not expecting the two of you to... Hold on. Did something else happen?”

He doesn't know!

“You really didn't see what happened after she snapped?” you ask Mechikabura bluntly, your eyes not leaving his own. He meets your own gaze a moment before shaking his head, turning his gaze right as you'd felt as if your soul started getting pulled out of your body towards his eyes.
“Karn, what happened?” he asks you, a note of worry in his voice now. “If she did something else and was able to hide it, I need to know.”

“She froze everything, even Chilli and I.” you tell him, the wizened demon's brows shooting up in surprise. You tell Mechikabura everything you'd told Towa, watching his face and gauging his reactions. He nods along with what the Kai tells Chilli, but as he hears what she told you his entire complexion pales noticeably, the Demon God looking down at his right hand as it trembles slightly. You explain what she told you, then the final words she gave before disappearing. Clenching his fist to stop the shaking, Mechikabura takes a deep breath in, sighing out before speaking to you again.
“Thank you, for telling me this.” Mechikabura says, sounding tired and old. “That she could further use her powers, even beyond what I remember from the last time... It must be true. If I'm not the first she's battled more than once, then I must change my plans immediately. If she thinks events will play out like 'they always do', then I must ensure they do not. I know this must have been difficult for you to say, worried I would betray you again. But know this, Karn. Divine Dragon Force. I swear upon my power that I will NEVER betray you.”

As the Demon God speaks those words everything goes dark, the blackness drowning out even your Berserker form's glowing aura. Leaving only the old Demon God before you in the void. But then that moment passes, Mechikabura sighing once more as he stands up on his feet.

“You have given me much to reconsider, there is much work to be done.” Mechikabura says, creating his portal once more behind him. “Until next time.”

Then without another word the Demon God turns, walking into his portal back to wherever he goes. Fu following along with a wave to you all. But Dumplin doesn't immediately go back, staring up at you in silence for several seconds before following the others. And once he leaves the portal shuts, leaving you, Towa, Future Chaya, Ace, and Meloka all here in her lab.

“I have to go log this immediately, to ensure it isn't lost should something in the timelines all change.” Towa says, turning back to the invisible wall. Meloka, for some reason offers to go with her, Towa accepting, and the two women go through the hidden path. After the wall goes back up their ki completely vanishes from your senses, again making you curious exactly what in the world that room was originally used for. But then you shake it off, without that other Towa around you may never know and instead turn to your eldest.

“So, what have you been up to?” you ask her, your daughter from another timeline again smiling at you and taking you by a hand.
“C'mon, we can talk and walk.” she says, turning towards the door. “I wanna get outta this battle suit, it's all sticky. That fire guy's a real pain in the ass.”
“Of course, lead on.” you tell her, following your daughter as she leads you out of the lab and into the halls. “Been out fighting a lot recently?”
“No, its kind of slowed down.” she says to you, sounding a bit disappointed. “After the last of the Dark Dragon Balls were taken, there haven't been a lot of fights between us and the Time Patrol anymore.”

“Then what were you out there for today?” you ask her as she comes to a stop before a door, it sliding open and your daughter walking in. She pulls apart her cracked armor, destroying it without a second thought and throwing the two halves into a chute off to the side. She then starts peeling off her skintight suit as well, tossing it down into the same chute as Ace follows you both in, starting a bit at seeing you there as well. But he then starts undressing as well, trying to ignore you as he does. You don't acknowledge him, instead focusing on your daughter as she turns the water on and starts talking. “If you weren't fighting over them, what were you battling over?”

“Over? No, we just went and caused a bit of trouble to get them to show up.” your daughter says as Ace finishes dressing down, getting in with your daughter as she leans on the small waist-high wall talking to you. Drawing the former Time Patroller's eye for a moment until he sees you, turning his attention back to washing the battle off of himself. “Just to make sure we don't lose our edge. Getting stronger is great and all, but losing practice against serious opponents would be bad. I've seen you taking down Patrollers much stronger than you because they aren't fighting for real, I don't want that to be me.”

Telling Chilli should be fine, Raven might be a problem though.
It's not that I don't trust her, it's more the fact that Raven can't physically leave New Salda as its Guardian.
If we can't disclose that information in a properly secured area, we risk letting Chronoa know that we could still perceive her (assuming she doesn't already know)

You and your daughter continue conversing as she finishes washing herself, then turns to Ace and asks him to wash her back as you two keep talking. He looks surprisingly concerned as he looks from her back to you, you giving the younger man a small nod as if giving permission. He visibly relaxes as you do, washing your daughter as she tells you about how she's been training. Then the two switch positions, your daughter washing Ace's back as the young man hides his face, clearly not wanting to meet your eye. You then remember how uncomfortable being naked is for people not raised like you were, and giving them consideration leave the two of them to finish their bathing in peace.

As the door shuts behind you you hear your daughter giggle, not a sweet innocent one either but one you don't want to think too much about. So you walk away from the door, trying to decide what to do next. Focusing on your ki sense, Meloka and Towa haven't emerged from the hidden chamber yet, which is odd as you've been talking with your daughter for several minutes. Your Chaya seems to be with Broly and Maza, no doubt in one of the chambers. Milha and Chilli are for some reason with the oldest twins Tatsu and Tomi, while Koruza, Caulifla, and Okira are off separate as well. And to your surprise Cell is with the younger twins and Karn Jr, along with another powerlevel you don't quite recognize but feels similar to Cell's own.

You consider joining the older kids as they all show off their powers, Chaya's ki changing and plummeting as she takes on her divine power, but instead summon the Stand bound to you around your right hand.

“Let's go.” you tell Divine Dragon Force, it nodding as you raise your hand to your head, focusing on Koruza's ki and teleporting to his side with Instant Transmission. Leaving the hallway behind you appear beside your half-demon son, joining your children in what appears to be a rather simple room. But for some reason, Caulifla, Triumph Requiem, Okira, and even Imagine Dragon are all looking around in shock. As if they're seeing something you're not. “Hey kiddo. What's going on?”

“Daddy? Daddy, where are you?” Okira calls out, both her and Caulifla turning towards you. But neither seemingly sees you, you turning back to Koruza as Dark Rider's eyes continue to glow crimson, staring unblinking at the others. “Are you here?”
“I'm right here.” you say to her, then address your youngest half-demon son. “What's going on Koruza? Is this your new power?”
“Yes, Dark Rider and I have created a new ability.” he says, grinning up at you. “Dark Labyrinth.”
“There you are!” Caulifla shouts, lunging at her younger half-demon brother. Only for him to backstep, narrowly avoiding her and letting his much larger sister sail harmlessly past. “Huh? How-Whaaaa!”

You watch as she jumps away from something, flying backwards a few feet and nearly hitting the wall before stopping, looking around back and forth in confusion.

“What do you think? Want to see it from the inside?” your son asks. To which you feel the corner of your mouth turn up, giving him a smirk and nodding. To which he smiles, then widens his own eyes. Which go blood red like his Stand's, everything around you going pitch black for a second. Then, when its over, find yourself somewhere you've never seen before. The only light is from your own emerald aura, the carved stone walls and floor all looking identical. Immediately you try your ki sense again, only to no longer being able to sense anyone except your daughters Caulifla and Okira, both trapped within this same place. And, even more worryingly, feel your instincts start creeping up your back that something dangerous is watching you.

“Good luck finding your way out. You have to catch me.” comes your son's voice from directly in front of you, his ki appearing for a single moment before vanishing again. That sensation of being stalked increases, but you don't move. Instead you look down at the Stand, Divine Dragon Force looking around in as much seeming confusion as you are.
“You see this too?” you ask, your Stand nodding once. “Alright, now to find Koruza.”
“Daddy? Daddy, was that you?” your youngest Okira calls out, you turning towards her voice. Then, after a moment's thought try and simply walk through the illusions towards her, as you know they aren't real. Only to slam face-first into the stone wall, the sensation surprising you so badly you stagger back in shock. “Be careful, the walls are all real!”

“I noticed.” you mutter, drawing your right fist back while focusing carefully on your children's ki don't want to accidntally hurt them. Then, with a shout swing, slamming you Stand-clad right fist into that wall separating you from your daughter. But it doesn't break. Your fist crashes against it, the single stone you'd hit cracking a bit, but it doesn't shatter. Even with your first Berserker form's power behind your Stand, you can't even destroy a single block.

“It's more durable than it looks, isn't it.” your son says happily, his energy appearing for a nother moment. You sense Caulifla again try and catch him, and again the half-demon boy easily dodges around her charge. But knowing which direction he's in is all you know, you closing your eyes and turning towards him. “What are you doing?”

“I've figured it out.” you tell him, talking while keeping your eyes firmly shut. Walking past where you'd seen of this place, off into the unknown as you approach your youngest half-demon. “These illusions are sight-based. If I can't see them, then they can't stop me.”

And with that you jump forward, catching both Caulifla and Koruza in your arms, the illusion ending as you sense his ki once more.

“What? How?” he asks as you open your eyes, back once more in to the 'real' world. “How did you find me?”
“Every time you talked, your ki signature would appear.” you tell him, giving him a pat on the shoulder. And when I saw how little you moved to avoid Caulifla, I knew where you'd be after dodging her again.”
“Not bad, you really are the best Dad.” he says, giving you a beaming smile. “But do you think you can do it on your own?”

“Sure, I'll go for another.” you reply, walking over to the center of the room and planting your feet. You are curious what else this power of his can do, and what had sent your instincts off in that space. “Whenever you're ready.”
“You sure?” he asks, you nodding to your son. Who nods back, then meets your gaze with blazing eyes once more. Again everything disappears into the darkness, the stone of the labyrinth appearing all around you again, walls, floor, and ceiling. And unlike before, there isn't nearly as much darkness as before, revealing about four times the distance, you seeing the path ahead branch off into three ways.

But you don't focus on that, instead closing your eyes and reaching out with your ki sense. You don't sense another living being, despite your son and daughters being only a few feet away. You then try and focus on your hearing, but no one makes a sound for a second. Then you hear a footstep somewhere off to your right where Okira'd been but then from above you hear your son “Shhhh” her. Immediately you look up, only for his voice to have come from behind the stone wall above. Which means one of these paths has to lead up. So you rush forward to the split, peer down each one. The left and right paths all turn ninety degrees in their respective ways from which you're facing, while the center one starts leading downwards. Not where you want to go. So, closing your eyes you turn right, closing your eyes so you don't see any more and start heading down that path.

But keeping your eyes closed is harder than you'd thought, as after what feels like only a few steps slam face-first into a wall, your eyes opening on reflex. Again taking you back to the same seeming hall as before, ending in the same three branching paths.

“Oh, so it's like that, huh?” you mutter, thinking that it is some sort of puzzle. Something you have to take the right choices to get through. Immediately you rush forward, coming to the choice again and take the left this time. Which leads to a split in the hallway in another dozen feet, one going left and the other going right. The left path is on a slight incline, while the right path is on a decline. Immediately you take the upwards path, only for it to open up beneath you as you run a half-dozen steps. You try and fly to maintain your spot but drop down regardless, landing on your feet back in front of the triple path once more. “What the hell?”

Then, as you stand there, feel that same sensation on the back of your neck, like a predator is watching you and waiting for its chance to attack. You turn, aura blazing up but see nothing except an identical hallway as the one behind you, three paths ahead of you once more. However, that feeling of something behind you creeping closer intensifies.

“Divine Dragon Force, watch my back!” you call out, elbow held parallel to your shoulder and fist to the sky as you start walking back towards the split in the hall. But once you come to the split once more, that sensation of danger flares, you whirling around counterclockwise with your right drawn back, ready to swing. Except, instead of Dark Rider or some monster, you see... Nothing. The dark of the hallway creeps closer, the stone of the hall back the way you'd come vanishing in that darkness.
“You have to move. If that darkness swallows you, I don't think any light you can make will be bright enough.” Divine Dragon Force states, you agreeing. And turning back to the choices before you head down the middle path this time, running down the downward ramp. Which brings a good thought to mind, how are you running down despite being in a room with a single flat floor?

“Dammit.” you say, the downward slope coming to a stop and bringing you to another choice. This time there's a leftward path in about a dozen feet from you, then another two yards the forward path ends, turning to the right. You think that the closer path is to hide you from whatever's chasing you, your fear making you want to scurry and hide down a different, closer path than the one further away. So you rush to the far path, taking the right-handed turn. Which leads to another hallway, this one ending in a 'T' intersection. Left and right once more, you running to it and glancing over your shoulder, seeing the darkness grow ever-closer. “Shit.”

“Keep calm, Karn. Use your head.” the crimson-scaled Stand says, but you can feel that it is disturbed as well. You take the right-handed path, running down the hall as it leads to more and more paths. You keep choosing paths at random, running to keep ahead of the encroaching dark behind you. Yet no matter how far you run, you can't escape the darkness. It grows closer and closer, you then sliding to a stop at the seventh 'T' intersection and sliding to a stop. “What are you doing?”
“I'm done running.” you reply, turning to face that encroaching darkness. Your instincts flare up, warning you that you're in serious danger, but don't back down. Instead, you clench your fists, and power up into your Ascended Berserker form with a roar. “HRRRAAAAAAA!!”

Your sudden explosion of light and power should have brightened the darkness, but instead it seemingly only galvanizes the darkness, it engulfing you after a second. As it does you feel yourself falling, falling, and then the sensation ends. The darkness recedes, revealing that you're.... Back at the start, with three paths open to you.

“Not bad son, I give up.” you say, powering back down to normal. “You got me.”

“Isn't it great?” he replies happily as the maze seemingly melts away, the room returning to normal. And despite all the running you'd done, find yourself only two feet to the right of where you'd started, both girls flying up in a corner of the room out of the way. “Those Time Patrol jerks never see it coming.”
“It is far more powerful than I expected, I never thought illusions could work so well.” you tell him, walking over and ruffling his hair. “When did you figure this out?”

“Well, a couple weeks ago I was supporting Ace on a mission.” your son says, telling you of how he prevented one of the powerful fusion fighters of the Time Patrol from getting at Ace while he fought another, trapping it within that space and keeping him occupied long enough to finish the mission. “But I can't do anything else while keeping people trapped in there, as every sound I make can be heard. And I know you didn't try it because we're inside, but your energy attacks could still hurt me or someone else, so I have to be careful with how I bring in Dark Rider's main ability.”

“I want to make a maze too.” Okira says, your eyes widening a bit in worry. But then, after a moment's thought smile, realizing you have the perfect space.
“When we go back home, I know a place for a maze. But you have to design it first before you make it.” you tell her, remembering the area outside the M'lurnian Ruins crater that's sitting empty. Her eyes go wide, almost bouncing up and down as she thinks about it. The four of you and your Stands all talk for the next while, you sensing Meloka and Towa's energies reappearing. Then, as you all get ready to spread out once more, you reach out with your ki sense once more. Chaya, Towa, Meloka and Ace are all gathered into one room while Broly, Maza, and Future Chaya are in another nearby. Milha and Chilli are still together, you realizing that Megumin and your boy's children are there with him as you notice Tatsu and Tomi have joined the younger twins with Perfect Cell.

“Wonder what they're up to...” you mutter, focusing on Perfect Cell's ki then teleporting to his side with Instant Transmission. Only for, just as the room changes, you see a pair of razor-sharp discs hurtling towards you. With only a split second to think you don't even try to block with your Energy Body or catch the disc, instead leaping aside to your left away from Cell.
“Karn?” he says, turning from your children's attacks to you, the two discs slamming into his chest. To the bugman's surprise they both cut through him, the energies slamming into the far wall then to your shock both shatter. Cell starts to fall apart, but then with his arms actually physically holds himself together, pushing his three pieces of himself together until the injuries heal themselves before your eyes.

“DAD!” both Tatsu and Tomi call out simultaneously, the older twins having been the ones firing the discs. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I'm fine.” you say, rising up to your feet. The younger twins run over to you, each one trying to talk at once over their older siblings. So you casually place a hand on each of their heads, ruffling their hair as you address the older twins. “Picking up new techniques?”
“Yes.” the reply in perfect sync, you turning from them to Cell.
“They have been putting in the work over these past couple weeks here.” he replies easily. “Seems three minds are better than one, after all. Now, again!”

“Right!” they call out, both raising their opposite hands overhead, creating another pair of those same spinning, cutting discs. You take the younger twins back, getting well clear as you then turn your attention down to them.
“I'm gonna get that technique soon.” Kayle tells you in a very matter-of-fact tone. Which her brother takes offense to.
“Nu-uh! I'M gonna learn it first!” Maz says, sticking his tongue out at his sister. Who returns the gesture, the two then letting go and running over to their older siblings, both ready to start trying the technique again. You see that and nod, turning towards that unfamiliar ki. Only to see what looks like a miniature Cell, as if he had a child. And to your surprise, see it standing opposite your youngest with its eyes closed.

You watch the two in silence for a moment, watching as your youngest jumps around him, bouncing off the walls and changing directions midair, making as little noise as possible. And that's when you realize you hadn't sensed his ki, he's trying to suppress it! You watch your youngest son bouncing around the junior Cell, who seems completely calm. But then, your son bounces off the corner on the creature's left, changing direction mid-flight and lunging at its back. Only for the miniature Cell to reach up, catching your son's heel in his left palm without opening his eyes.

“Wha-Waaaaaah!” he calls out as the tiny Cell throws him forward, slamming your son to the ground face-first. “Guuuuuh, owww.”
“Not bad, but you didn't lower it enough.” the junior Cell says, opening his eyes and looking at your kid. Who rolls over, holding his nose a moment before pushing himself upright, retaking his fighting stance. But then, seeing the small Cell's face turns, seeing you standing there.
“Hey! Did you see that?” he asks you eagerly. “I almost had him!”

“Haha, keep working son, and I'm sure you will.” you say, ruffling his hair with your hand. Your son beams up at you, his powerlevel unconsciously rising before he then turns back to the miniature Cell, taking a slow deep breath then sighing out, lowering his powerlevel as he exhales. His strength plummets once more, the tiny blue Cell closing its eyes and returning to its meditative pose. Karn Jr's powerlevel continues to plummet, dropping lower and lower until you can barely sense him at all. Your son then jumps forward, dashing at the being only to stop a mere foot away, kicking off and away up at the nearby wall, but he doesn't touch it. Instead he redirects himself, bouncing all around him. You nod once, turning and watching the younger two twins as Cell coaches them on how to make the discs.

“Now, compress that energy.” he tells them, the younger two twins each holding a sphere of ki overhead. “Keep that spin going, and start squishing that energy down. Make it as flat as you can while keeping that energy turning.”
“Right!” they both call out, brows furrowing and veins bulging as they focus on their ki. You watch on silently as they both focus intently, their orbs changing from a spherical to more oval shape.
“Yes, just like that. Keep it going.” Cell encourages, the older twins nodding to each other and each one going to one of their siblings, whispering what you presume to be encouragement to each other. Whatever they say seems to work, only for both of their orbs to detonate right before they're compressed enough. “Nice try, you both almost had it. Let's try again!”

“Right!” Maz says, immediately holding his hand up and creating another orb of ki.
“Okay!” Kayle calls, mirroring her brother and doing the same. You grin at this, seems the kids have this under control.

That makes me wonder, what would Cell with Karn genes be like?
>>
>>5740855
Cell is an uneven(?) mishmash of many different warriors. It really depends on how much of Karn would be in him. If its just the techniques and a little extra, I get the feeling he'd have a more physical and deadlier set of moves, since so many of our attacks were made explicitly to kill.

Well if Gero had access to retard genes, jobber genes, and absolute chad genes, you know he'd dial back the other two significantly. But that's fair. I'm just curious if Karn's "get shit done" attitude would override some of the dumbass that came from most of the other sources.

Leaving all of them to this, you then focus on your ki sense again, zeroing in on Future Chaya's massive ki signature and teleporting to her. One second you're in that room, the next standing beside your oldest alternate timeline daughter in her Primal form.

“-en you have to dig deep, and- Oh, hey Daddy.” she says, powering back down as she sees you. “What're you doing here?”
“Just seeing what everyone's up to, how everyone's getting along.” you tell her, patting her on the shoulder. “What're you all up to?”
“I'm showing them of how to get to the next level!” she says excitedly, grinning wide. “Want to stick around and see?”
“Of course, let me get out of the way.” you tell her, taking a couple steps back, resting your back against the wall as she turns back to Maza and Broly. Both of who are already in their Primal forms as well.

“Now, where were we?” she asks herself rhetorically, popping her neck. “Ah, that's it. Alright, back to business! To get to the next level, it isn't about just increasing your power. For you to ascend from a Primal Saiyan to the Apex, you have to dig deep! Draw even deeper into that wellspring of power inside you, draw absolutely everything out!”

As she shouts, her golden aura blazes, lightning crackling around her body.

“Then once you're at full power, you have to dig deeper!” she declares, pointing towards them both. “Now, draw out your full powers! This room can take it, go all out!”
“RIGHT!” Maza shouts, clenching his fists and blazing his pale, demonic aura up. But Broly doesn't do so immediately, something Future Chaya immediately notices.
“Alright Broly, no more holding back! GO!” she shouts, your son clenching his fists tighter. She doesn't see what he's doing, doesn't understand, but you can feel it: Broly's fighting for control as he slowly raises his power. So, not knowing what's happening walks up to Broly, and before you can say anything actually slaps him open palm across the face. “Stop holding back, I said go!”

“Shit!” you say, feeling Broly's strength suddenly surge. And as it does, emerald aura blazing powerful enough to knock both Maza and Future Chaya back, your son loses control of his enormous power for the first time in years.

Also ha!
>>5740931
He’s several boards ahead of that already. He’s gone down every thought train from Chronoa lying just to disturb his plans to give her more time now that she knows he had at least one mole inside that stole the Dark Dragon Ball to it all being true and somehow Karn was conscious and not supposed to hear that, and everything he’s done in this new reality fits within her plans, that everything’s a cycle. But knowing that betraying Karn is possibly a cycle, he did something different. He made an oath upon his power. A contract that’s, arguably, even more binding than DDF. Swearing by one’s power, as a deity, means that to break that oath is to give up their divine powers. An irrevocable act, once committed.

Little did they know, that telling Mechi about the fact that shit is a circle was all part of Time Midget's plan. Unaware that sometimes the best choice is to do nothing. That'd be a real ballbuster, eh?
>>

That information’s protected. ESPECIALLY now.
>>5740985
It is a possibility. Was this all her plan?

You really want the pot stirring shadowrun shitshow, chronoa might have a way to force the betrayal every timeline without fail, and expected us to confront mechi about it. Mechi being paranoid as fuck swears on shit thinking it would be easy to dodge and that's how she gets him and can happily dispose of the entire karn situation. Remember, she literally always made a point as to how much she hates the whole timeline and wants it to dissappear. So mechi will inevitably kill karns family, making him powerless and karn will proceed to DDF the entirety of mechi's forces including him, then she will nuke the timeline and that will be that. If we're lucky we get picked as one of Aeos's punching bags to be used in the muh 1 true timeline fuckfest right afterwards.

The truth may be closer than you think. After all, what if someone who ‘betrays’ you by attacking your family simply LOOKS like Mechikabura? You have fallen for that trick once before, after all.

“HAAAAAAAAA! GRRRR! GRRRAAAAAAAAAAAA!” Broly roars as his body rebels against his control, emerald aura blazing and knocking you all away from him. You somehow manage to keep your feet, as does Chaya, but Maza is caught by surprise and sent tumbling.
“Dammit! Chaya, Maza, he's losing control!” you shout, powering up to one hundred percent of your Ascended power. But that's not enough, his own power swiftly surpassing your own. His power keeps climbing higher and higher, his strength astonishing. He was keeping this much held back?

“HRRRAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” Broly roars again, his body disappearing completely within his blazing aura. Lightning crackles around him as his strength keeps rising, the heavy tiles on the ground cracking from the weight of his might.
“He was holding THIS MUCH power back?!” Future Chaya shouts, sounding not worried but rather excited, a familiar grin coming to her face. One you recognize from your Chaya when fighting someone she thought would be a breeze back in the arena. Seems that they have that problem in common. “At this rate, you might make Apex yet!”

“He can't control this, his power's running wild!” you shout to your alternate timeline daughter, who doesn't seem to be listening, gaze focused exclusively on your son as he starts floating up into the air, power radiating off of him in waves. The very air starts distorting, colors shifting as his strength continues to rise. But when his power doubles your own, with no signs of slowing down and Future Chaya not acting, you realize that you're the only one who can stop this.

But what do you do?
>Tap into the Berserker Soul and go into your imperfect Berserker God form, you need power if you're going to keep him from rampaging
>Tap into the alternate reality's Berserker Soul, you feel that you'll have a little more control with that one, but it won't be quite as strong
>Use your Barrier around the room itself, protecting it from his energy before he starts unleashing that overwhelming power

“Chaya, defend Maza!” you shout to her, clenching your fists and gritting your teeth. “I'm gonna have to go all-out to reign him in!”

She replies with something, but you can't hear her as you dive deep into your own power. The power of the Berserker God surges into your body, muscles swelling as your power explodes.

“GRRRAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, your scream drowning out Broly's own. You feel your strength spike dramatically, quickly surpassing your son's as you take on the power built to destroy a god. The entire chamber trembles at your newest power, the ground beneath your feet buckling a bit from the pressure this form exerts. You grow another several inches in height as well, towering over everyone, even your son in his Primal form. “GRRRROOAAAAAAAAR!”

In the back of your head, suddenly you feel the presence of the Berserker Soul, but it's different. As if not wholly in your own mind trying to take you over, almost like its attention is split between yourself and another.

“HRRAAAAAAAA!!” Broly bellows once more as his power spikes even higher, your emerald auras slamming into each others' and causing sparks at the collision. He then crouches, readying himself to lunge forward. Seeing this you brace yourself, crouching as well. Then, once he springs forward you do the same, right fists crashing into each other with planet-breaking force. The shock waves from the strike knock both of you back, but neither of you relent. Immediately you plant your feet, kicking back off the ground towards your rampaging son and block his hasty left fist square on the flat of your right forearm, stopping his strike. “RRRAAAAAAA!!”

And as you gaze at your son's face, realizing that it isn't him in control, but his anger and rage twisting and distorting his features you come to a realization. This ISN'T Broly fighting you, but the Berserker Soul inside him. Which is why it isn't trying to wrest control of your body from you right now, it has his! And you're not going to let that stand!

“Stand down!” you roar, swinging your right arm out and knocking his arm aside as you surge forward, striking Broly's chest with a solid left. The force of your punch knocks him back, taking him off his feet to slam back-first into the far wall. “You can't have my son, nor me!”
“What?” you hear Future Chaya say, but ignore her, focusing on the fight in front of you.

“RRRAAAAAA! GRRRRAAAAAAAA!!” he bellows, kicking off the wall and blitzing you. But you're ready, taking your fighting stance and swatting his heavy right aside with your left forearm. Only to follow it up before Broly, or rather the Berserker Soul can react with a heavy overhand right to the jaw. Slamming Broly down to the ground, your son narrowly catching himself on his hands and knees. But before he can recover you follow your attack up with another, driving your left knee square into his face the instant he tries to rise. Knocking him over onto his ass, clutching at his broken nose with his hands. While he's distracted you grab him by the ankles, lifting Broly and swinging him up overhead before jumping, flipping once and slinging him down to the training room's floor. Slamming down headfirst onto the metal floor.

“Broly!” Maza shouts out with surprising concern from somewhere behind as your son bounces once, flipping around midair and landing on his stomach. He groans in pain, that massive powerlevel he'd had a moment before dropping as he starts trying to get his hands and feet up underneath himself. You did it. But then, realizing what's about to happen warn everyone to stay back from you. Then, as your consciousness starts to fade try and keep your body in check by activating your Unmovable Energy Body. Condensing all of your energy into that armor, trapping you within it before everything goes black.

Then, in that dark void the emerald flames again flare, the Berserker Soul roaring as it appears before you in the center of the firestorm surrounding you both. But this time you're mad, not from its influence but at what this thing just tried to pull.

“My son is NOT yours to take!” you roar, drawing upon everything you've got and even the Berserker God's power, aura blazing more bright and intense than the flames around you both. “You stay the hell away from my SOOOOON!!”
“GRRRAAAAAA!!” it snarls wordlessly, charging forward. But you're too angry to play this game, letting it rush wildly and swing with a heavy right straight for your head. But at the last second you dodge, dashing a few inches to your left and leaning your head, causing his fist to sail harmlessly past. You don't ONLY dodge, however, twisting your upper body and driving your right fist into and through the Berserker Soul's guts. “GUUUAAAH?!”
“I will NOT let you have him!” you snarl as the spirit starts dissolving into emerald motes of light once more, the emerald flames consuming everything as you return back to yourself. Finding that, indeed, you'd not moved, your trick to trap your body working flawlessly. With a thought you end the technique, it shattering as you sigh out and let your power flare on its own.

“Woah...” you hear Maza say from somewhere behind you, the awe clear in his voice. But your concern is your son in front of you, who has pushed himself up to a knee. You walk over, kneeling beside him and placing your hand on his left shoulder.
“You alright?” you ask him, Broly looking up and flinching as he sees the form you're in. But after a moment of you not reacting, or more accurately trying to attack him as you know the Berserker Soul probably does in his mind as well, he nods to you. You return the gesture, pushing yourself back up to your feet and offering him your hand. Which he takes, letting you pull him up to his feet.

“Woah, that power's amazing!” Future Chaya says, not showing any hint of remorse or upset over what happened. Probably not understanding what the both of you just went through. “But why'd you stop him? He was so close, he almost had enough power to reach Apex right here and now!”

Well? How do you answer that?
>Tell her that he almost rampaged out-of-control, and that Broly's been working for years to conquer his anger and keep it in check
>Try and explain to her what happened, how the Berserker Soul works and what it tried to do just now
>Let her and Broly both know that now, while you've got the Berserker Soul in check would be the best time to try and to go for it again

“Chaya.” you say through gritted teeth, your daughter from another time freezing as you glare at her. But you take a deep breath in, sighing out to keep your anger in check. Then, when you speak again, you speak in a softer tone. “Chaya. You don't understand what happened. Your brother was possessed.”
“Possessed?” both she and Maza ask, the two sharing a confused look. You sigh out again, looking to Broly once more to check on him and see how he's doing, but he just nods to you as Chaya asks, “What do you mean, possessed?”

“There's something about this power none of you understand, that I guess I may as well explain.” you say, looking at your right hand and clenching your fist. Letting your emerald aura blaze a bit before turning your focus back to them. “The Berserker, the first Berserker God, Miyashi: his soul still lives. Its power is what people like Broly and I channel when taking on our Berserker forms. And, going deeper into that power, drawing more on it, gives Miyashi a chance.”

“A chance? A chance to what?” Maza asks, brows furrowed and looking worriedly up at you.
“To take control of someone who is using his power.” you tell him, his eyes going wide. “Miyashi's soul, the first Berserker, still seeks revenge against his brother. Who also lives on as a soul as well.”
“His brother?” Chaya asks, raising a brow. But both of Maza's go up, jaw dropping as he seemingly understands.
“The Super Saiyan God? Is it wandering around just like the Berserker power too?” he asks, you nodding. “No way!”

“Really?” your alternate timeline daughter asks, looking from him to Broly to you. “That's so cool!”
“No it isn't.” you reply, then relent. “Okay, maybe it's a little cool. But the Berserker Soul isn't anything to underestimate. It takes serious effort to keep our power under control, to not let it take us over to try and exact revenge. Which is why you need to understand this, Chaya. Don't push Broly when he's not ready, you never know how close Miyashi is to taking one of us over.”
“I understand.” she replies, not seeming the least bit chagrined but instead more excited. “But now that you're all powered up, how about you show me what you've got? How strong this power REALLY is?”

But, to her clear shock instead you sigh out once more, powering down and out of your Berserker God form. She seems surprised by this, at least for a moment. When a wave of exhaustion washes over you, dropping you down to a knee.

“DADDY?!”

“I'm fine, I'm fine. It just takes a bit out of me to power back down.” you reply between heavy breaths, trying to catch your wind. “This power's not a joke, and I've barely gotten a hand into its real might. Maybe later, once I've gotten a better handle on it and can keep the Berserker Soul more in control.”
“Aww, okay.” she replies, clearly disappointed that you're not going to face her with your new power. But then she turns to Broly, who is slowly pushing himself up back to his feet. “Do you want to try again? Or are you not gonna keep trying?”

“I'll go again, just be ready to step in if I go out-of-control. I don't want to hurt anyone.” he replies, standing back up before turning to you. “Thanks Dad.”
“Of course son.” you tell him, patting him on the shoulder before walking back, heading to the door as you think on your next move. Focusing on your ki sense, seeing where everyone is. Chilli, Megumin and their children are still with Milha, while Chaya's power is small but no doubt transformed along with her mother and Ace. Meanwhile, Towa's off on her own, no doubt working on something else in her lab. Both twins are with Cell and his miniature offspring, along with Karn Jr still training.

For a moment you consider going to Milha's side next, but knowing how debilitating the effects of her magic are decide against it. Instead you head out of the room and start making your way down, jogging down the halls to go check on the seals your son'd put on the Abyss down below. You keep a brisk pace, going down deeper and deeper, passing by the initial all-metal halls that give way to stone, this lab clearly unfinished before the previous owner met a fate that kept them from finishing the work. You head deeper and deeper down, Chilli reaching out to you telepathically as you near the bottom.

“Hey Dad, where are you going?” Chilli asks you. “Is something wrong?”
“No, I don't think so.” you reply to him as you find the final hallway, taking the downward ramp down into the darkness towards the sealed chamber. You transform, letting your Ascended Berserker form's emerald aura illuminate the darkness. “Just double checking that the seals on the Abyss down here are still intact. I'll let you know if anything's wrong beyond the stone.”
“The one that only you or Chaya can move?” he asks, the thought coming to mind that you'd not seen Chaya move it before. Perhaps she'd done so on the visit last month with your son? Thinking back, you hadn't checked it that time, Chilli having told you everything was fine then. You hadn't thought about it back then, but with her training under Darth Bane and her own anger, she most certainly could open it. “I haven't checked it yet, keep me in the loop.”

“I will.” you reply, both of you ending the telepathic link as you come to a stop. Once more you see the giant, dark stone blocking the doorway, planting your feet and diving into your rage. You let your Berserker fury rise up, taking that anger and using it to fuel your telekinesis. Grabbing a hold of the stone you tear it out of the hole, the giant cube slamming into your hand. It then falls to the ground, you stepping around it and into the portal room once more. Your emerald aura illuminates the darkness, your aura's light reflecting off of the crystals. You walk over the crystal-covered stone, walking right up to the portal to the Dark. Fortunately, it still seems to be covered wholly in the crystals, however as you approach notice something that could be trouble. The Darkness of the Abyss is seemingly seeping into the crystals themselves, darkening the pale crystals on the altar itself. Your aura's light doesn't reflect off of those, the Dark infecting them seemingly absorbing the light as well. “Hrmm, this can't be good. I should let Chilli know, and see if he-”

But as you turn back towards the doorway, the oddest thing appears. A wall of what looks like a cloud covers the doorway. And you feel your instincts wake up, warning you that danger is coming. You walk over, reaching up and touching the cloud. It feels solid to the touch, you trying to push through it but the cloud resists, keeping you trapped in the room. And then you hear it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mo3nDUA3KWs

Turning at the noise you see a figure rising up out of the ground, right over the crystal portal. The humanoid is clad in a strange, bright blood-red aura, looking similar to that envelops Caulifla when that amulet takes her to challenge someone in the past. As the figure stands up, a massive greatsword suddenly appears in their right and a smallish, triangular shield in their left. Immediately, the man starts walking slowly forward while spreading his arms wide, palms open yet still holding its armaments as he comes to a stop a few yards away. As if saying, “Well, what is it?”

Looks like you're in for a fight.

Does Chaos Pyromancy count as magic?

You may be surprised how tanky this boi is. He’s not ONLY from DKS1…
No, she’s too gentle for it. Instead she’s been working on her own style, similar but different. Bane would recognize parts of the style as he’s used something similar before, when he thought himself invincible.
>>5742255
Not ALL the floor, there’s some area by the entrance that’s uncovered, But most of it is. And only the crystals nearest the portal are infected, those on and adjacent to the portal itself. It hasn’t quite spread to the whole room yet.
>>
>>5741579
>>5741460

A thought occurs to me. Would it be possible for Karn and Broly to both draw on the full power of the Berserker Soul simultaneously (in a hypothetical scenario where we both mastered it) since they're both connected to it? Or would it we be limited to half since it's being split between the two of us?
>>
>>5742620
>karn and broly berserker god tag team

>and then even stronger because they just watched you put down their family and now they're beyond mere anger

>>
>>5742625
would Broly even get Berserker God since he's pursuing Primal? It seems that unlike us, Miyashi can influence Broly no matter what form he's in.

Xeno Broly has his own version of Apex/SS4 Limit Breaker, but he was only able to obtain that with a buff from the Dark Dragon Balls. Would our Broly be capable of something similar by instead channeling the full power of the Berserker Soul through Primal?
>>
>>5742620
Would have to be different Berserker Souls, as one split in two can only give half.
>>5742625
Would be an absolute menace in that hypothetical. But either warrior would most likely lose to that unrelenting rage

>Better to have a safety net in place before the really tough guy who has beef with the order of the universe figures out how to topple it.
Bingo. Unlike Shin, after learning what happened with Buu, has been trying to conceive a plan. But with this new power appearing, truly showing that god-slaying power he sensed before, he only sees one option.
Disgusting, yes.
>>5743217
No, he’d be gone. And your soul, absorbing what’s left of his would become the new ‘true’ host. As for wishing, unknown. If another Karn tried it, only one soul survived. You might ask DDF about it at /ome point.
>>
>>5743232
Just a preemptive measure. Originally, he’d had his money on Rose Kars being able to keep you in check. But after seeing WHIS step in to protect Beerus, and Meloka blowing a hole through his hand with a single blast on her own, he knows that, as Kars is now, it wouldn’t be enough. >He may have been more experimental with his Stand's Wish power.
starting to think we're too conservative with our wishmaking. we've used it what, twice throughout the entire quest?
>>
>>5743638
With great power comes great responsibility (and back pain).

But I think the drawbacks of the wish dissuade wanton use of it. The few times we did use it was when we absolutely needed to, and after its use DDF fucks off for atleast a year, which is pretty bad considering it's our #1 "fuck off and die" button for *really* persistent or powerful shitheads like Beerus and regenerators. And on top of that, what would we wish for? It can't be stronger than us, the wishmaker, or else we'll drop dead.
>>
>>5743639
>The few times we did use it was when we absolutely needed to, and after its use DDF fucks off for atleast a year,
If I remember correctly, DDF dormancy post-wish correlates with the magnitude of the wish made. Those big stretches of dormancy were probably because we were being moved through timelines and planes of existence respectively.
>And on top of that, what would we wish for? It can't be stronger than us [...] or else we'll drop dead.
Well, we could wish for a lot of things! Knowledge, treasure, materials, etc...
Though a lot of that stuff could also be readily provided by Cold, the Namekian Dragon Balls, and Okira as she gets older.
>>
>>5743622
>they still need their heads MOSTLY intact.
I mean when your brain gets diced into tofu and you're still looking around just fine thinking about how shitty your situation is, I'm sure a hand grabbing it and squishing it wouldn't be enough to outright kill. Two squishes, minimum. Brains are bigger than hands.

>>
>>5744424
It could be that being in a lower form severely hampered Cold's survivability on Earth.
Though you're right to ask how Kars would even be aware of such a thing.

Hey man I was just saying hypothetically.
>>
>>5744426
Possibly. Not like we’ll ever get an answer canonically.
He wouldn’t be, at least not in your timeline.
>>5744427
I like answering, if I understand the question and doesn’t spoil too much. If Kars KNOWS he’ll survive the attack, often he’ll take it and regenerate as a show of dominance, like he tried against you and Tanya, and failed against Chilli later. But having his head popped wasn’t something he thought ANYTHING could survive, until he watched the Ginyu Force sparring full power against their captain’s strongest body.
>>
>>5744441
Stupid question, but Ginyu is aware he can absorb people to gain their power, knowledge, and abilities, right?
I'm sure Cold would have informed him of Buu's nature in that regard at some point in the past.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 202 Intermission-

AGE 756, SACRED WORLD OF THE KAIS

Elder Kai, Shin, Kars and Kibito watch the battle with Beerus the Destroyer, the Elder Kai commenting on the shock waves washing over them all as Kars wonders what they could be. Stating that, had the battle been on a planet with weaker gravity, or even no atmosphere at all, these shock waves could have been powerful enough to threaten the entire universe. The gods wonder how they'll keep the growing Saiyan menace in check, when Elder Kai reveals his secret. And tells Kars that his “Rose, or whatever” power

“What is this?” you ask as waves unilke anything you've ever felt wash over you. The force reverberates inside your very being down to the molecular level, causing you to momentarily feel nausea each time one of the waves hit. “What is going on?”
“To think they'd reach all the way out here...” the oldest living Kai says, you and the current Supreme Kai Shin both turning towards him simultaneously, turning your gaze from the orb where a Destroyer battles two mortals. One who has ascended into the ranks of the divine, while the other has become something else entirely. “What you both are no doubt feeling are the shock waves from their battle.”
“You mean the Saiyans' and Lord Beerus' clash?” Shin asks the obvious, you forcing yourself not to audibly sigh or visibly roll your eyes at the inane question. “To think that mortals could reach this level, to wield such power.”

“And you'd better be thankful they're battling on a planet with such a dense atmosphere too.” Elder Kai continues, not addressing Shin's question at all. And while you immediately understand the consequences, the Supreme Kai shows off how slow he is once more.
“What do you mean?” Shin asks, the elder turning to you to see if you understand. To which you give a slight nod, the elder returning the gesture, clearly expecting you to explain for him. Which you do.
“The atmosphere of New Salda is dampening the force of their blows, muffling the shock waves and keeping them from being as powerful as they otherwise could be.” you say, Elder Kai nodding along as you talk. So you continue. “Were this battle to take place on a planet with a far lower density atmosphere, such as here, or even worse out in the void of space, these mighty shock waves caused by their clashes could threaten the whole universe.”

“That is precisely correct.” Elder Kai says, you bowing low to hide your sudden grin, keeping up the guise of the subservient disciple to the Elder. Only a few more centuries of this, at most, and you'll replace that waste of divine power Shin. “Very intuitive, Kars.”

You are Kars, once known as the Perfect Being and formerly of the Pillar Men of Earth, now you are a truly divine being, a Kai, one of the true gods of this universe. And currently only a few years into your current centuries-long scheme of usurping the title of Supreme Kai, the highest position of divine rule in each universe. Yet as you watch events unfolding in the mortal realm from the Sacred World of the Kais, for the first time in over half a century you feel worry. Not at the newly-minted Super Saiyan God Meloka, as her power is like your own but lesser, but at the other Saiyan monster. The one known as Karn, his Berserker power having bloomed with the failed ritual to true anti-divine power.

As the fighting continues you and the other Kais watch on in mostly silence, everyone studying the Saiyans as they battle the God of Destruction Beerus. A battle that, according to Elder Kai, is something that he's only seen a few times in his life. And never for as long as this one's gone already. That is, until the divine and anti-divine powers of the Saiyans merge, forming energy unlike anything you've ever felt.

“Honored Elder, what is that?” you ask, having never seen nor felt any power like this before in your life. It feels different, stronger, more than any other power felt before.
“Hrmmmmhmmm.” is all the old Kai grumbles, not speaking as he glares at the orb. They then fire it through one of Meloka's funnel-like walls, condensing it down into a beam that actually pierces through the Destroyer's massive attack and actually damages him! You see that, whatever that beam was, hit the God of Destruction hard and sharp enough to pierce into him, causing the god to bleed. “This isn't good.”
“What isn't, honored elder?” Shin asks, ever the slow one. But the Beerus, angry from being damaged blitzes the Saiyans. The woman, somehow knowing throws her husband aside, only to take the strike meant for him through the back. His fist pokes through her chest, blood dripping from Beerus' claws before he pulls his hand back through, the woman dropping.

“Seems we might need a new Destroyer soon.” you say as the woman's body drops, the green-haired Saiyan's face going from confusion, to shock, to RAGE.
“Meloka! MELOKAAAAAA!!!” he calls, aura blazing unconsciously as he stares at his wife's falling form. His entire body starts trembling, teeth gritted so tight it makes your jaw hurt as he raises his glare to the God of Destruction. “You.... You bastard! You're DEAD!”

Then, before either Beerus or Karn know what's happening, he moves. Almost as if by instinct the massive Saiyan lunges, slamming his right fist square into the god's jaw.

“YOU'RE DEEEAAAAD!!”

Karn attacks Beerus with renewed ferocity, attacking with such speed and ferocity that Beerus himself is forced fully on the defensive. The massive Saiyan swings faster and faster, each strike knocking the God of Destruction a little further back despite his guard.

“I'LL MAKE YOU PAAAAAAAAY!!!” he roars as Beerus catches both fists, the Saiyan swinging his head into the god's and knocking him back and away. But then, before he can pursue, a fiery streak of light blazes up from the hole in the ground, the Super Saiyan God within driving a right uppercut into Beerus' jaw and knocking him backwards. “Meloka? Y-You're okay?”
“WHAT?! You can still fight? How?” Beerus asks, the two Saiyans not looking at him as they share a look, Meloka then turning back to face him.
“Come on, we're not done yet! Let's finish this!” she roars, you noticing that her injury has healed itself. You weren't aware that a Super Saiyan God could regenerate like you yourself do, which is interesting.

As the two Saiyans continue the battle you ponder this development, curious if that's simply due to the divine nature of the power or if Saiyans all have that capability, but simply don't know how do do so? But then your thoughts are interrupted as the Sons of Cold arrive, both powering up into that Golden form. One which you copied a while back, but decided against using. After all, it wasn't quite as potent as your Super Saiyan Rose power. But seeing the two of them now, their strength is something else. Compared to Meloka's Super Saiyan God power, Cooler's strength feels slightly greater to you. However, you can't judge Karn's might at all.

This anti-divine power of the Berserker keeps you from being able to sense his ki at all, leaving you to only judge its strength based off of showing in the fight. And as he fights alongside Cold's sons, you have to judge that he's stronger than either of them. His strikes seemingly land harder, cause more impact to Beerus than either of the Golden sons. You dive deep into thought, trying to rank his power compared to your own even as he loses control, Meloka and Cooler fighting Beerus while Freeza tries to snap the Saiyan out of his mindless rage. Which succeeds, the four reconvening and once more attacking Beerus. Karn, ki spiraling into a cone around his fist, slams his attack down only to have the piercing point caught by the Destroyer.

“Not a bad strike.” Beerus says, firing a punch from his free hand into Karn's guts, the man coughing up blood as the Destroyer flips, kicking him into Freeza and sending them both flying back. However, instead of chasing them down he looks at his hand, where you can clearly see that he's bleeding!

Meloka then gathers her orbs all around herself, combining and shaping them into several large orbs, as well as several of those amplifying gates. Which she then slam into each other, tweaking their frequencies so they don't merge nor separate, transforming them into a spiraling, spinning gate.

“Oh? Now, what's she planning?” Elder Kai says, Beerus turning as she calls out to him, taunting him to not dodge the attack. And, to in fact use his Hakai to try and block her strike. Beerus accepts the challenge, threatening her that if he reaches her before she's ready, he'll ruin it all before she can use it. And use it she does, firing several Final Flash beam attacks. The one from her hands, as well as the ones from the orbs all slam into that spiraling energy, which condenses it all down. Even with all the merged energies spiraling, it can't contain all that power, cracking as a finger-thick beam is fired out from the end. From the crack energy bleeds out, but is pulled in by the beam's intense density, forming a spiral around the central beam as she fires at the God of Destruction's Hakai-shrouded form.

Beerus tries stopping the attack with his hand, but her attack punches straight through it! Hand and Hakai both are pierced straight through, the Destroyer throwing his head to the side narrowly saves his life, the beam scratching his cheek as it passes by.

“WHAAAAAAT?!” Elder Kai shouts in shock, falling backwards off his seat. You feel the same way, reconsidering your estimation of her power. She managed to deal more damage to him than anyone else with a single attack, even moreso than Karn with his anti-divine power. The Destroyer is understandably upset at this, blitzing the woman and unleashing a devastating combination, sending her tumbling. He doesn't stop his attack, rushing her again only to be stopped by Karn. However, the force of their clash knocks her back further, sliding to a stop by his assistant Whis. Who calls for an end to the fight as you go over to Elder Kai, helping him back upright. “This isn't good. These uppity Saiyans are getting to be too much to handle! They could even kill Lord Beerus, with the right setup.”
“But what do we do?” Shin asks, sounding hopeless. “We're no match for them.”
“All four of us are, as we are now.” Elder Kai agrees, then turns to you. “But we do have two advantages. Tell me, Kars; would you like to see your REAL potential? Not the powers you've gotten from others, the might you've copied but your OWN, true strength, laying dormant deep within?”

A most intriguing proposition.

Good epilogue, very excited to see Ultimate Kars.
Also, yeah, at least GSP isn't half dead or struggling for cash like most semi-retired fighters. Would have liked to see him go against Stephen Thompson though for a high-speed Karate match.

you should never count a saiyans hair as part of their height.

Yes, always a sad sight.

I say we do count the hair, then I could grow mine out to be taller than Broly going full green. Because apparently Saiyans never need haircuts in their entire lives. Born with that spiky shit.

It's probably a manga thing, but just for the record, in the anime Trunks shoots King Cold in the chest and then booms him as he's begging for his life.
Also, fantastic epilogue with fantastic art to match. I am eagerly anticipating Kars, The Ultimate Lifeform

Just a few minutes over 24 hours to go! Hope you’re ready for a lv 713 showdown!

Alright I have a completely pointless question. What were Yamoshi and Miyashi's respective base power levels when they died?
>>
>>5745764
Can’t really do anything about that without any draining ability, and wasting your Stand on that’s a terrible idea.
>>5745917
That is unknown.
>>
>>5745955
>Can’t really do anything about that without any draining ability
All those levels he's gained are just Souls he's grafted onto his own via bonfires.
If I'm interpreting that correctly, we should be able to separate them from him via Forced Spirit Fission, right?
>>
>>5745969
No. The souls are consumed to increase the level, they aren't something you can get back out. It's like Buu's absorption, except fully absorbed into the body and not just held somewhere to be pulled back out. The lesser souls are consumed to strengthen the one, making it as valuable as the combined values of the lesser souls. And a level 713's soul is worth 1.692 BILLION souls. Compared to Hollow Gwyn, who gives a combined value of only 110,000 souls. A max level being is almost on another plane of existence compared to even a lot of deities. I hope you're ready for tomorrow, the opening post will set the pace of this fight.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

Karn and his family joined Towa in her realm, the warrior telling Towa of what he'd learned. The two agree to tell Mechikabura of what Chronoa'd said while she presumably thought Karn couldn't hear her, the Demon God thanking him before vanishing. Then, after spending time with most his half-demon children went down to check on the crystals sealing the Abyss gate. Only to find the crystals infected with Dark, then the entrance sealing itself with a cloud of smoke before a warrior clad in red energy rises up out of the floor. And as we rejoin Karn, the warrior's standing with his arms spread wide, as if inviting you to hit him.

“The hell is he doing? Does he WANT me to atta-? SHIT!” you think to yourself, your thoughts interrupted as suddenly the man before you moves. He's fast, flipping forward onto his hands, then back up to his feet while thrusting the massive sword's blade right at your right eye! In shock you step back with your left, leaning your head that way and narrowly avoid getting a sword through the brain. Instead, the heavy blade barely grazes your cheek, the razor-sharp edge stinging your flesh as it cuts through. But that's not all, the sword also feels incredibly hot as it touches you, your flesh feeling as if it's been burned by Caulifla's sword made entirely of fire. In less than a second you almost died! If you're not careful, this fight could be your last.

“HAAAAA!” you shout, blazing your aura up. As you do, the nimble warrior again flips on his hands, this time back away from you. He's surprisingly quick for someone wearing such restrictive-seeming armor, swinging his shield over onto his back as he lands back on his feet. Then the warrior, wasting no time, starts circling to his left, closing the distance deceptively quick while resting the great sword on his shoulder. Before you realize it you're within his range once more, the warrior planting his feet and swinging the blade at you. It takes even a warrior like him a moment to get the blade moving, whipping the last two feet or so of the blade at your neck, no, that's not it. His sword is aimed just under the shoulder, looking to cleave you clean in two! “TCH!”

With only an instant to react you jump back, narrowly avoiding the blade. But then your back hits something solid, leaving you nowhere to go but forward through this warrior. Whose powerlevel you suddenly realize that you can't sense at all.

What do you do?

“Dammit!” you snarl, clenching your fists and drawing your aura in. Condensing your blazing emerald light into your hardened Energy Body. But as you do the giant sword swings back again, this time from your left. However, you don't have the means to stop it in time, instead relying on your Energy Body to absorb the worst of the impact. The heavy sword smashes into your right side below your elbow, smashing into your lowest ribs. Fortunately your Energy Body absorbs the blow, keeping your bones from cracking, but the hit still takes you from your feet! He launches you towards the altar, your Energy Body burning from the flames washing over you. But it saves you from what could be serious burns, injuries that would be seriously debilitating. You then slam back-first into the altar, the dark crystals cracking and shattering from the impact. “GUUH!”

You fall down to the ground, landing on all fours as the man rushes over, clearly planning to end this. Thinking that his attack would have broken you. But as he runs in, raising the weapon overhead in both hands, you spring into action. Exploding off the ground, you drive your right fist square into the man's masked face with enough force to send him flying. However, despite the spray of red mist-like energy, he doesn't stop, continuing to swing the heavy blade down. With only a moment to act you raise your left, slamming your left forearm into both of his wrists. You stop the blow, keeping his arms from dropping and swinging the massive sword all the way down. Then, once the sword's drop is stopped, you swing your left out to your side, knocking his giant blade aside. The man staggers back a step from you, the heated blade striking the crystal ground.

“GRRRAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, driving your right elbow square into the masked warrior's face. The heavy blow staggers him, you taking the opening and rushing in. With another war cry you unload a dozen heavy blows, each snapping the man's upper body left and right before following it up with a spinning left roundhouse. Your heel crashes into the man's head, finally knocking him down to the ground. That red energy shrouding his body is sent from him like a splatter of blood with each impact, yet to your surprise he simply rises up once more, seemingly completely uninjured. He turns back to face you, pulling the shield back off his back, holding the small triangle-ish shield forward. But then he does something unusual. He drops his arm down to his side, then starts bringing it back up, dropping and raising it at rapid speed. As if trying to show off how quickly he can defend himself, or something. The hell is wrong this guy?

“Well well, if it isn't that giant bitch's father.” a woman's voice calls from behind you as you draw your Wolf Knight Sword, grabbing the handle in both hands. Whoever that is behind you can wait, you have to finish this one off before he can do any more. So, you jump forward, readying a feint to get him to move. Once he flips, you'll slam your sword into his side, cleaving him in two. But as you start your fake swing, he draws the shield up and swings it out, as if to swat your two-handed swing with only one arm and the shield. Leaving his entire body wide open. With a grin you draw your blade back, planting your back foot and thrusting the great sword forward. The masked man isn't able to flip away this time, your attack finding its mark. The great sword thrusts straight through his armored torso, that same blood-red energy spraying as if you killed him. “What?!”

“Die.” you say, kicking him off your blade and knocking his body tumbling across the ground. But then your instincts surge, warning you of danger directly behind you. As you kick off him, glancing back over her shoulder, you see that there's a skeleton swinging a broad-bladed sword at the back of your head. But this newer fighter is far slower, you throwing the sword behind your back.

CLANG

The broad-bladed sword slams into your own, but her swing lacks strength, leaving it easily blocked. But then you see the first warrior starting to stand back up once more, seems he's still alive somehow. You want to finish him off, but this one at your back is still a danger. So you spin, whirling counterclockwise and swinging your heavy blade around. The skeleton woman tries bracing her sword against her left forearm. But despite putting her whole weight behind her blade, your attack strikes her weapon, sending it spinning out of her hands and slamming into one of the crystals on the far end of the room.

“WHAT?!” she exclaims, her skull helmet turning towards the blade. And in that instant of distraction you raise your sword overhead, ready to deliver a killing blow. But as you do, again your instincts warn you of danger. Before you can act on that feeling, however, the massive sword of the first warrior slams into your right ribs just below your armpit. The fires of the weapon burn across your Energy Body as the attack sends you flying, smashing into the wall a couple feet below the second's sword. Cracking the crystals, releasing the sword as you slide down to the ground. The second's sword falls, landing point-first down by your left knee and sticking into the ground. “Thanks for the save, dad.”

Wait, dad?

While that explains why he's the stronger of the two, you still have to win. So, you rise up to your feet, taking the other's broad-bladed sword up in your left as you take a fighting stance you'd learned from Bane, but rarely used: the dual-bladed Djem So stance. Left blade held out horizontally before you right held overhead and ready to drop it down on anyone who gets close. But they don't attack immediately, the bigger man dropping his sword there while reaching out behind his back. Seemingly drawing a SECOND blade out of nowhere.

“Thanks.” she replies, taking the big sword up in both hands, resting it on her shoulder in similar fashion to her 'dad'. “Let's crush him!”

As one they both start walking towards you, radiating with menace. You don't break your stance, waiting until they get close enough to attack. Crouching a little further, readying yourself to jump, you then throw the shorter sword directly at the skeletal face. She brings up the massive sword before her, blocking it the same way she'd tried blocking your earlier swing. The force of your swing knocks her blade back into her face, sending her staggering backwards with a pained “Gyuh!” as you then spring towards the stronger fighter. Who again tries to deflect your strike with his shield, but he misses. He tries to swing just a fraction of a second too soon, the top edge of his shield barely missing your blade as you drop it down on his left shoulder in a devastating two-handed chopping strike. Your sword cuts the man near in two, entering between his shoulder and neck, stopping down around his navel.

Before he can react you kick him off your blade, but to your surprise he STILL doesn't fall. Your kick staggers him back a few steps, the fighter finding his balance and pulling up his shield, taking a couple steps back from you. Leaving you with enough room to turn and finish off the skeletal woman, only to see her jumping, swinging her energy-clad left at your face. You see that your strike broke her helmet, but aren't able to react in time before her left hand clamps over your mouth. Immediately your eyes widen in shock as you feel her somehow draining your strength, drawing power out of you and into herself. Panicking, you immediately drive your left knee up into her chest. She gasps in shock, letting go of your face and stopping that effect. Clenching your fist tight, you then swing, thrusting your sword up squarely into the woman. Red mist spraying everywhere, she gasps a couple times without taking in air, her body collapsing into motes of red light. Vanishing entirely after a couple seconds, your strength immediately returning as you turn back to the first foe.

You see the warrior holding up something in his right hand, it looking like a small, black flame. That he then crushes in his grip, you getting the feeling that whatever he did, can't be good. But you can't ponder over that for long, as you hear something else.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mo3nDUA3KWs

“Dammit.” you mutter, hearing that sound from behind you once again. With your back towards the doorway. Leaving you in the middle once again. But then you hear a different sound, one you haven't heard before.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwupWe2VJ0o

“What?” you mutter, turning to see an odd sight. Your daughter, Caulifla, is stepping through the fog as another warrior, identical to the one you've been fighting rises up from the ground, also clad in that red energy. Looks like it's now a two on two.

But what do you do?

“I'll leave that one to you until I finish this one off!” you call to your daughter, drawing your hammer off your back as well. With one weapon in each hand, the warrior before you again draws up his shield, keeping it between you both as he advances more cautiously.
“Triumph Requiem!” Caulifla calls, a flash of light from your peripheral telling you that she's become one with her Stand once more as she transforms into a Super Saiyan. Which is a good call, her Stand armor basically making her invincible to most conventional attacks.

“I'm ending this now.” you say, dashing towards the one you've been fighting. Immediately as you close in you swing the hammer overhead, the man not trying to deflect it this time and simply bracing himself behind the shield, waiting to see your attack. But you don't attack him, not directly. Instead you slam the hammer onto the ground near his feet, just past his shield's reach. And as it impacts the ground, the weapon unleashes another powerful shock wave. Catching the warrior a bit by surprise, the wave slamming into his shield with an audible clang. But he holds firm, sliding back a foot or two but remaining standing. As you pull the hammer back up, he flips forward once more, thrusting the blade at your head again.

This time, however, you're ready. Deflecting the blade over your left shoulder with the haft of your hammer, you knock him off balance. Following that up with a full strength thrust with your Wolf Knight sword straight into his chest. But you don't let him fall immediately, stepping into the stab and raising your sword. Lifting him up and off his feet, holding the warrior overhead before swinging it down, throwing him off the blade to slam into the far wall. But you know that's not going to kill him, you rushing forward to finish him off while down. Closing the distance you swing both weapons down, only for the warrior to evade you. He flips back onto his hands as your sword and hammer drop, landing on his feet a couple yards away as your hammer slams down.

Again the shock wave blasts out, however this time the warrior somehow flips through the wave back towards you. Once again he thrusts the blade at your head. Forcing you to swing your sword up to counter, knocking the sword's point away from your head. You knock his sword out past his left shoulder, twisting your entire body clockwise and swinging the hammer at him. Before the warrior can recover, getting his guard back up, you slam the hammer into his chest.

KABOOM

The force of your blow, combined with the shock wave blasts him back, sending the armored warrior crashing into another of the portal's pillars. The crystal-covered structure shatters, stone and crystal raining down as he keeps flying back, smashing into the wall behind it. More crystals shatter, raining down onto him as he falls to the ground. But he doesn't stay, once again flipping back up to his feet. Slinging the sword back onto his back as he draws up another of those black flame-like things, but you're done with this. Before he can crush it you blitz forward, swinging your hammer up into his chin. The shock wave plus the force of the blow sends him flying, smashing up into the ceiling before falling back down. You then thrust your Wolf Knight sword square into his chest as he falls, again impaling him and holding him up overhead as that red mist sprays over you before disappearing.

“Aaahhhhh...” the warrior sighs out, his body collapsing into those motes of red light. But that's not all, some of them drop down onto you, disappearing immediately before they would have faded away naturally. Which is odd, but you don't have time to ponder that as you know your daughter's fighting as well. Turning around, you see that she's just fine, the man's sword bouncing off her Stand-clad body as she closes in. Swinging a golden fist into the man's face, knocking him off his feet and sending him sliding. Before he's even slid to a stop Caulifla jumps, dropping down knee first onto the warrior's neck. Crushing his neck under her knee, the fighter dissolving into that same red mist as the one you'd killed.

“Are you alright?” she asks, turning to you with a worried look in her green eyes.
“I'm fine, but how did you get in here?” you ask her, looking back to the foggy wall blocking the doorway. “How'd you get through that?”
“You can enter a fog gate, but just not leave back out.” she replies easily, seeming familiar with the odd phenomena. “But now that we're both inside the gate, we can't leave.”
“So we're stuck?” you ask, your daughter nodding. “Great.”
“Until the being creating the gate dies, we're trapped within it.” she answers easily. “Whoever possesses the powerful soul responsible, we have to find them. They have to be here, somewhere.”

“You don't think its whatever's lurking down there, could you?” you ask her, gesturing to the Abyssal portal that's been sealed in crystal. Her eyes widen, having clearly not thought of that herself. But from how her shoulders slump, she realizes that this has to be the case. Well, looks like the two of you are taking on the Abyss together again.

“If the only way out is through, then let's get started.” you say to your daughter, sheathing your sword and taking the hammer in both hands as you walk towards the portal. “Stay ready kiddo, no telling if that monster down here is going to attack again.”
“Right!” she replies, following you as you step onto the platform, staying off the circle herself. You hoist the gravity hammer overhead, studying the crystal below as you look for any imperfections. But there isn't one, your son's crystals all still perfectly shaped despite being filled with Dark. So, with no other options you take aim at the center of the circle, swinging down.

“HAAAAA!!” you shout, combining the full force of your arms, back, and legs together to swing the weapon down. Straight into the center of the crystals over the circle, the initial impact cracking the crystals into a spiderweb. But then the hammer's shock wave explodes out, shattering the cracked crystal and sending shards flying in all directions. But, the very INSTANT you do, a massive hand-like appendage shoots up and out, it feeling very familiar. But you don't have long to ponder that as you're grabbed by the appendage, it dragging you down into the Abyss.

“DA-!!” Caulifla shouts, but the moment your head sinks down below the level of the portal you can no longer hear her. Instead you hear a sound of rushing water maybe for several seconds, then the hand lets go. You still feel yourself falling, tumbling down further and further into this darkness and wondering if you should stop and try to fly back up when suddenly your emerald aura illuminates what looks to be stone below you. So, you flip over, landing feet first with enough force to crack the ground you impact. The sharp crack rings out over the darkness, everything beyond a couple feet of emerald illuminated by your aura is complete darkness.

“Well, shit.” you say, focusing on your ki sense as you look over yourself. Fortunately, none of that slimy Abyssal Dark stuck to your Energy Body, it seemingly having slid off. But unfortunately, you can't sense your daughter or anyone you're familiar with. You do, however, sense something down here. A power that, somehow, feels vaguely familiar. While this strength is not as strong as you, it feels infinitely more vast. As if you're stronger than it, but this, this thing is a whole lot MORE than you. It exists on a separate scale, like beings like Mechikabura, Beerus, Beerus' assistant, or the Supreme Kai of Time. You turn towards that energy signature, noticing what looks like a dug-up grave in the stone at the edge of your aura's light. But there, in the dark above it, are eyes. A LOT of glowing, red eyes all staring at you.

From that darkness you hear a heavy-sounding footstep, followed by what sounds like a staff tapping the ground once. Then, from the darkness emerges a monstrous beast. Bones protrude from its head and back like antlers, the glowing red eyes all having grown from there. In its right hand the creature wields some sort of wooden staff, it as twisted and warped as the being's left arm. An elongated, pitch-black fur covered appendage with that monstrous hand at the end. The beast focuses on you, mouth opening wide as it roars in a deep, bassy tone.

“GRRRRROOOOOOOOOOORRRR!!”

“Guess you're the one I have to take down.” you mutter to yourself, but before you move the creature attacks. It pulls the staff in towards itself before thrusting it forward, unleashing a barrage of thousands of Abyssal energy projectiles. “SHI-!”

You don't have time to react, to move, the swarm slamming into you. You take hundreds of hits a second, each one of the dark orbs burning through chunks of your Energy Body before dissipating, then once they get through start slamming bodily into you as well. Smashing your armor to pieces, the Wolf Knight sword falling to the ground. But the stream pushes you back and away from where the sword falls, sending you flying back into what feels like a stone pillar before the stream finally relents.

“GRRRROOOOOAAAAAAARR!!” the monster roars, not immediately pursuing as you fall back down to the ground, landing on a knee.
“Dammit. This thing's tough.” you think to yourself, reaching out with telekinesis and grabbing your sword, pulling it out to your open right hand with a thought. The moment your hand touches the hilt the blade lights up with a faint azure light. “Alright, my turn!”

You explode up off the ground towards the beast, sword and hammer both ready, but the monster isn't interested in trading blows. Instead it simply repeats the same attack again, as you'd feared it would. And try your defense.

“BARRIER!” you cry, creating the shield that stops most energy-based attacks cold. However, for some reason these Dark projectiles cut straight through, passing through your Barrier as if it wasn't even there. “SHIT!”

In the split-second before the attacks hit you cross your weapons, using them to try and shield as much of your body as you can from the stream. But hundreds of the blasts still strike true, again sending you flying back and away. Slamming back-first into the same pillar, this time destroying the already weakened structure as you're sent tumbling across the ground. Rolling over and over until you get your feet underneath you, sliding to a stop standing upright once more.

“This dark magic's strong.” you mutter to yourself, staring at the beast near-level with its head. This thing's strong, and its magic is not to be underestimated. You're going to have to try something other than simply rushing in, if you plan to win this. Making matters worse, neither your Energy Body nor Barrier are particularly effective against it, however your Barrier at least stopped SOME of the damage from hitting you. If only Chilli were here to handle that.”

But he's not here, neither is your daughter Caulifla yet with her near-indestructible Stand as armor. Which means you're going to have to fight this powerful monster on your own.

How do you do so?
>Rush in again, leaving an Afterimage behind right as it casts to leap into the air, dropping your sword point-first through the monster's skull
>Drop the weapons and focus on your energy attacks. Despite the projectiles power they're relatively slow, you can probably dodge them and keep hammering at this monster from afar
>Drop the hammer and channel your power through the sword, use it to cut through this monster's dark magic then its dark flesh
>Unleash your Berserker God power, destroy this thing with your full power. If it's on a level above, you'll have to rise to that same level

“Can't handle this thing without going all out. Here goes.” you think to yourself, dropping both weapons then letting that wall separating your power from the Berserker Soul's fall, drawing upon the maddening strength of the first Berserker God Miyashi. Your emerald aura blazes even higher, bolts of green lightning crackling around your body as you dig deep. Instantly you feel the former Berserker God try and wrest control, but you ignore it, focused on the now smaller-seeming Abyssal being before you. “HRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!”

Your power swells, strength growing and growing as everything disappears. For a single instant your aura is strong enough to illuminate the darkness, the light then fading as you've ascended to that god-killing form once more.

“GRRRROOOOOOARR!” the monster bellows, again unleashing a torrent of dark projectiles. But you're no longer weak and vulnerable, charging through the onslaught directly at the dark beast. Who seems surprised, you closing in and slamming your giant right fist square into his face. Knocking the abyssal beast down onto its back, sliding across the ground to a stop. Where it uses that abnormally large left hand to push itself back up, the creature seeming surprised that you'd even knocked it over. “Grrrrooooh?”

“HRRRAAAAAA!!” you roar, aura blazing even higher. The creature takes this as a challenge, roaring as well while thrusting its staff straight up. Creating a swirling vortex of Dark, Abyssal energy overhead. Which explodes into a rain of thousands of those dark projectiles. Which ALL seem to be locked on you, dropping down and towards you across as far as your Berserker God aura illuminates. You try and rush the monster before they fall, but then it does something different. From its left hand the beast unleashes Abyssal-black fire, the flames slamming into you like a wave, engulfing and consuming you completely. “GYAAAAAAAAAAH!!”

The fire burns you down to your soul, both you and Miyashi howling in pain. The searing agony immobilizes you, then the rain of dark projectiles all find their mark. Each one hits with a dull thud against the searing agony of the black fire, but fortunately each hit seemingly absorbs those flames into itself. Leaving you on the ground, burnt and battered but alive. And angrier than ever.

“Bas...tard...” you seethe through clenched teeth, pushing yourself back up. Clearly to the monster's surprise, who takes a cautious step backwards. But running away won't do it any good now. “GRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

Your blazing emerald aura shifts to red as you unleash your power, the Red Dawn consuming the darkness around you, the ground beneath your feet, and the monstrous being before you. You release everything you've got all at once, illuminating the darkness with blindingly bright crimson light until everything disappears, going dark once more. Leaving you floating in a familiar, dark void which lights up with emerald fire.

“GRRRRAAAAAA!!” Miyashi's soul roars, appearing before you. But you can tell immediately that something is wrong. The Berserker Soul, usually appearing mighty, now looks like a being in incredible pain. Every inch of its body is covered in nasty burns, that which isn't covered in Abyssal darkness that is. And hell, its probably burned underneath that as well, if your own pain blossoming all over is any indication. Unlike every time before, the Berserker Soul doesn't try to attack you. Instead, it simply screams and writhes in pain, unable to stop the pain it's clearly in.

But what do you do? What CAN you do?
>Rush forward and knock the Berserker Soul through the fires, retake control of yourself while its distracted, fighting through the pain that seemingly incapacitates it
>Piercing Fist MkII, drive straight through its chest and 'kill' it once more

“If THIS is all you can take, then just get out of my way!” you roar, dashing towards the pained soul. Charging forward at full speed you slam shoulder-first into his chest, ramming him backwards. The distracted Berserker Soul cries out as the emerald flames consume it, blazing pitch-black as the Abyss is seemingly burned off of the soul itself. You blink, returning to control of your own body. Where you see that the abyssal creature hasn't died, it is somehow still alive. You watch, the creature pushing itself up as it bleeds black, Abyssal darkness leaking from its mouth as its limbs tremble. Despite its pain, the creature manages to get itself upright. “Ghh! Tch!”

“Gwrrrrrrrrr!” it manages to growl out, fangs bared as it leans heavily on its staff and left hand. It doesn't immediately attack, seeming more shocked that you're still alive than anything. Everything hurts, your body feeling on the point of collapse. But you fight through, taking one step, then another and another towards the monster. It tries to back away, stumbling over its own feet and falling back, crashing down to the ground. Laying there, the dark monster raises his staff, dark energy gathering around the end. But nothing happens, no stream of dark magic orbs firing at you. But then your instincts scream at you that danger's approaching, whirling around only to see a ring of dark projectiles all firing out from the darkness TOWARDS the monster. Then, as if by instinct gather your ki around your right fist, slamming it into the giant orb the size of your torso that would've hit you. “Gruuuuh?”

Your energy detonates, obliterating the orb that would have hit you from behind. The rest all strike the abyssal creature, judging from the noise, you turning and seeing it has risen back up once more. It snarls, rushing you in a strange, bounding run directly at you. Then on its last leap the monster raises both arms, swinging down with its distorted left hand and the wooden, axe-like staff in its right.

“HRRRAAAAAAA!!” you bellow, throwing both hands up to catch the creature's attacks. The heavy staff slams down edge-first into your left hand, his left fist slamming into your right palm as you catch him. The ground cracks beneath you but you hold your ground, stopping the monster's attack in its place. You can feel that the monster is shocked you stopped it, trying to pull away. But you don't let it. Clamping down, you hold both the staff and his fist, not letting the creature escape while gathering your ki. And unleashing it as you open your mouth, firing a powerful mouth beam directly into the monster's face and torso. “GRAAAAAAAAAA!!”

A powerful wave of emerald energy explodes from your mouth, consuming the monster's head and most of its upper body, You unleash everything, your beam obliterating everything in its path. Both the creature's arms go limp, you ending the beam as the creature dissolves into motes of light, like the phantoms earlier but white instead of red. A bunch of them all flow over into you, the warm, gentle sensation soothing the pain a bit from the attack. However, your eyes are transfixed by something floating there in the air where the dark creature died. Its a small, dark thing, drawing you in as you look at it. It reminds you of something, but you can't remember what, the darkness beckoning you to touch it, to take it. To claim its power as your own.

The mass feels slightly warm as your hand gets closer, not as if it would burn you should you touch it, but noticeably warmer than the Abyss around you. But you don't immediately touch it, seeing your hand and arm, what's not covered in burns is drenched in Abyssal darkness. You pull back a bit, unsure what to do next. But as you hesitate, debating on if you should take this thing suddenly you remember what it reminds you of. It's like the soul of that four armed white creature that attacked you in the Abyss on New Salda, the one it ripped from you. But instead of being a flame, this instead looks more like a flame's shadow, a dark reflection of power you'd claimed and lost before.

You stand, frozen by indecisiveness, when suddenly you feel that something's watching you. Turning your head, you then see, well, something watching you from the darkness. It looks like a ghostly form of blackness lined with a faint, fading white aura, a pair of dull white eyes staring blankly at you. At first there's the one, then two, then another, more and more joining to all come look at you. Or, perhaps, they're drawn to the soul still floating there before you? After all, as beings of this Abyss, no doubt they felt it when their master was defeated. The dark forms make no attempts to get closer, staying just outside the reach of your emerald aura's light. But they all are gathering, more and more by the second as if waiting for something to happen. But what?

Well? What do you do?
>Take the soul, grasp it with your hand and claim its power for your own. Won't be the first time you've claimed a soul in a battle down in an Abyss, and this one seems stronger

For just a moment you hesitate, but then reach out the rest of the way, grasping the dark soul in your right hand. The darkness is a viscous, lukewarm lump in your hand, the nearly-liquid thing slowly absorbing into your burned flesh. After a moment the dark object vanishes completely, but you can still feel its now slightly-cold feeling in your guts, resting peacefully within you. But with that done you rise back up and out of the crater your attack had made, expanding your ki sense to try and find your daughter. However, you feel nothing.

“What?” you murmur, closing your eyes and expanding your senses, reaching out further and further into this Abyssal emptiness. Where you feel tiny specs of power, but nothing representative of your daughter's power. Onward and upward you keep expanding your senses, wondering just how far down into this void you'd fallen, when suddenly you feel it! Caulifla's ki is there! Nearly a planet's width away, but that power you sense is unmistakably hers. So, raising your right hand to your forehead you don't hesitate, teleporting to her side with your Instant Transmission. One second you're at the lowest point, the next beside your daughter as she's kneeling, reciting one of the prayers she makes to use her magic. Then with a final syllable and ringing of her chime, soft, golden light explodes out from her. The healing magic washes over and throughout your body, healing the painful burns you'd sustained as well as the damage the dark orbs had inflicted. But then, as the light fades away, your daughter rises back up to her feet, still clad in the brilliant gold of her Stand. Unlike yourself, it seems to have protected her from any Abyss, your daughter starting as she realizes you're nearby and turns.

“Da-!” she starts, freezing at the sight of you. Covered in Abyss and still in your Berserker God form, you must look a terrifying sight. Caulifla steps back, eyes wide a moment before visibly relaxing, sighing out. “You're still in control?”
“For now.” you reply, remembering how the pain was keeping the Berserker Soul at bay. “But probably not for long, we need to get out of here.”
“We can't. Not until we kill the thing making that fog gate.” she replies with worry.
“No I got it. If the same thing that tried to break through before is this 'boss', I've handled it. That's why I look like, well this.” you tell her, gesturing to yourself.
“If you did, then we can simply find other Chaya or Momma's energy, and Instant Transmission away.” she says, raising her right hand to her forehead. But after several quiet seconds she sighs out, a note of frustration in her tone. “Dammit, I can't sense anything.”

“We're too far down.” you tell her gently, seeing the forms of those same dark spirits you'd seen at the bottom starting to appear at the edges of your aura. “When I was down there, down at the bottom, we were about a planet's length apart. Wouldn't surprise me if there's that much and more between us and the gate we took to get here.”
“That makes sense. This place, it isn't normal.” she replies. “I chased after you for over a minute before I got attacked, and I couldn't get to you. Then after I fought, I couldn't sense you anymore, and started trying to go deeper to find you. I don't know how deep we are anymore.”

“Then hold on, and let's get out of here.” you say, crouching down and readying yourself to leap skyward. Caulifla climbs onto your back, arms around your neck to make sure she holds on. You use your tail to wrap around her as well, ensuring you won't leave her behind as you let your emerald aura blaze, then jump. “HAAAAAAAA!!”

Exploding upwards at full power, you streak through the Abyssal caves. Your body smashes through rocks with ease, climbing higher and higher for seconds, then a minute, then two. You keep flying up, not remembering it taking this long to get to the bottom when suddenly Caulifla shouts out.

“I can sense Chilli!” she shouts, you stopping your flight just as everything changes. One moment you're in pitch darkness, the only light your emerald aura and Caulifla's golden one, to now being back outside the portal once more. The light is blinding, you and your daughter both recoiling as she hisses in pain.

“Dad! Caulifla!” Chilli calls, you slowly opening your eyes to see your son's worried face. “You're okay!”
“Barely.” you reply, dropping down to a knee and trying to power back down. But you can't. Despite lowering your strength, your body refuses to transform back into a lesser form. “Everything okay?”
“When your energy disappeared, Cauli told me she was already on her way.” your son replies as your daughter lets go, taking a couple steps back and looking over her appearance in a crystal's reflection. No doubt checking to see if any of the Abyss got on her. “I told Towa what was happening, then headed down myself to see if I could seal it back up. But when I did there was this weird smoke cloud in front of the door. It only just went down a couple minutes ago. What happened?”

“It's a long story.” you say, seeing that the portal beneath Chilli's feet is no longer 'active' like it was, now nothing more than a slab of carved stone. But you feel your power rising, your control starting to slip away as Miyashi starts trying to take over control of your body again. You have only a couple seconds, at most, before losing complete control for a time.

“Dammit!” you snarl, immediately blazing your aura up to full power. Both children shout in surprise, you crossing your arms and condensing your full power into your Unmovable Energy Body. Your ki hardens into the immobile armor, protecting you from any external physical damage. But, more importantly, it keeps YOU from moving as well as the darkness overtakes your mind. Everything goes black, leaving you once again floating within that void, emerald flames blazing all around you.

“GRRRRAAAAAAAA!!” the Berserker Soul roar, throwing his head back in a primal roar of challenge. You see that he's still covered in the Abyss, much like you are, but he doesn't pay that any mind. As Miyashi focuses on you, blitzing straight at you. But something's wrong. He's faster than before, swifter, closing the distance before you can react and slamming a heavy right into your jaw.
“GUH!” you exhale, the force of his strike sending you flying back. You almost hit the emerald flames right away, nearly losing control immediately but manage to stop yourself from being thrown out of the circle. “Shit!”

“HAAAAAAAAAA!!” he roars, firing a massive emerald beam at you from his left hand. Which you fly up and over, avoiding getting rung out for the second time. Gritting your teeth, you then blitz down towards him. Miyashi ends the blast, turning back up towards you with a snarl as you close in, retaliating with a heavy right of your own. Your heavy strike knocks him in a circle, staggering the soul. He spins, using the momentum your strike gave him to spin into a left backfist, but you were ready. Easily ducking the heavy blow, Miyashi leaving his chest wholly exposed.
“GRRRRRRAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, firing a powerful left uppercut into the Berserker Soul's stomach with your full power. You feel the 'air' leave its body, Miyashi doubling over and clutching his guts while staggering backwards. “I GOT YOU!”

With the Berserker Soul momentarily stunned, you unleash your fury on the Berserker Soul. You swing a heavy right uppercut into its chin, followed by a left hook to the liver, right elbow to the nose, finally into a back roundhouse, left heel smashing into Miyashi's temple. Sending the Berserker Soul tumbling, hitting something in the void as he falls onto his chest, rolling over several times to come to a rest on his back, staring emptily up at the abyss. Looks like you got him!

But what now?
>Grab his body and pitch it into the emerald fires, push him out to regain control of yourself

“Miyashi.” you say, addressing the Berserker Soul by name as he's laying there, trying to recover from your devastating attack. He turns to you as you speak, confusion clear on his face. He blinks, brows furrowing as he recognizes you, struggling to right himself. “As long as you remain a threat to my family and friends, this is going to keep happening. I'll kill you as many times as it takes. You will die here, over and over again. As long as you remain a threat to my family and friends, I will NOT let you live.”
“Grrr! Gurhh!” he snarls, trying to push himself upright. But you don't give him the chance, floating over and grabbing his head between your hands. The Berserker Soul's eyes widen in shock, realizing what's about to happen.

But you don't give him a chance to get back up and try again, crushing his skull between your palms. Emerald blood sprays everywhere, you blinking to keep it out of your eyes. However, as you open your eyes, you find that you're back at the Dark portal, with Towa, Future Chaya in her Apex form, and Meloka all here as well. Watching you, and no doubt waiting.

“Don't worry, I won.” you reply to them, ending your Energy Body completely and relaxing with a sigh. But as you do, Towa suddenly shouts.
“EVERONE STAY BACK!” she yells. “DON'T MOVE!”

Shocked, you comply, not moving as she approaches. Then, with some sort of needle-tipped syringe stabs into the darkness on your arm. You don't feel anything, but as she draws the plunger back out, it seems she captures some of that Dark like a liquid, holding it up and examining it a moment. Then, nodding to herself she takes the needle off, screwing some sort of cap on the needle end of the container before vanishing it, turning back to you.

“We have to get this off of you.” Towa says, brows furrowed. But as she starts mumbling to herself, your son Chilli speaks up.
“Hey, I think I can.” your son says, you all turning to him. “That Abyss is the same as Dark, right?”
“Essentially yes, although the Abyss is more than just the Dark.” she replies, bringing a hand to her chin. “What are you considering?”
“True Dark.” your son replies, the two talking in magic terms you can barely follow for half a minute before they seem to reach some sort of agreement. “Alright! Dad, are you ready?”
“Ready?” you ask him, having not followed since they started speaking in technical magic terms. “For what?”

“I'll take that Dark off of you. But it will take some doing.” he replies, creating an orb of Dark magic between his hands. “I'll make a space of Dark, one that will allow me to remove that Abyssal taint without causing any serious damage. Are you ready?”
“As I can be.” you reply, Chilli giving you a nod, raising that dark orb overhead.
“Dark Magic: True Dark!” he calls, the orb expanding and engulfing you all. Your emerald aura is swallowed up, your power not illuminating this even deeper darkness. Your sight is completely robbed, no difference with your eyes open or closed. “Dark Magic: Shadow Eyes.”

However, you can sense everyone's energies still, this Dark not obscuring your ki sense as Chilli's energy starts to approaches you. His voice echoing all around you in this Dark as he speaks.

“Hold still Dad. This might hurt a little bit.” he says, you tensing your body up in preparation for whatever he's about to do. You then feel him lay a hand on you, directly in the area of the Abyssal sludge on you. “Crystal Magic: Crystallize!”

There's a flash of light, blinding in the Abyssal darkness as you feel a burning pain on your forearm. But then you hear him drop something, the 'tink'ing of the crystal on the stone ground audible. You wonder what he's doing, your son walking and floating around you. He repeats this process dozens of times, and each time leaving a burning pain behind. Then, after around five minutes of work, you feel his energy drifting back away from you.

“That's all. Crystal Magic Sealer!” he declares, the darkness disappearing. It is seemingly sucked down into a crystal the size of your son's head, held aloft in both hands. Then, once the darkness has been wholly absorbed, you can see the results of his magic. Scattered on the ground around you are dozens of dark crystals, but they seem far darker than the rest of the ones for this part of the room. Dark like the giant orb of crystal he's holding, lowering down and casually holding. “Phew. I think that's all of it.”
“Most impressive.” Towa says, giving your son a genuine nod of approval.
“Thanks son.” you say, taking a deep breath in then attempt to power back down once more. But even as your powerlevel drops, your body doesn't change. Remaining in your transformed, Berserker God state. You try again, lowering your powerlevel even further, yet nothing happens.
“What's wrong?” Meloka asks, brows furrowed as she looks at you with worry.
“I can't power down.” you tell her, everyone's eyes widening in shock. “I can't transform back down out of this form.”

Well, this can't be good.

Huh. Never happened on me on my home wifi before. Odd. Anyways, September patron poll’s live until the 1st at 9pm EST, August piece will be live hopefully sometime this week. As for the week’s epilogue, I have a few ideas. But I haven’t asked in a while who you eant to get more screen time. So, I’ll leave it open, to see what you all think.

In the meantime, we haven’t had question time in a while, so feel free to ask while I ask some of my own. Did you enjoy the battle with Beerus, the perspective shift to Meloka while Karn raged out? Or would you have preferred the Karn pov, regardless of how much of the titular Battle of Gods you may have missed? Do you prefer the epilogues/intermissions of happening events, expounding on characters and events we don’t get to see as Karn, or do you prefer the ones of hypothetical and potential encounters, ones we may never get due to different votes?

Meloka is best quest Waifu period because baring Towa's Beta episode, is the only waifu on quest to have had a longterm relationship, multiple children, and grandchildren, without actual competition. Towa's broodmare nerd girl status notwithstanding. Karn would have been cool, but it would only boil down to brutalizing Miyashi for the entire fight. It could get distracting. But its understandable.
>Do you prefer the epilogues/intermissions of happening events, expounding on characters and events we don’t get to see as Karn
You really got to ask that?
>do you prefer the ones of hypothetical and potential encounters, ones we may never get due to different votes?
They're cool but as much as we like them, you cant do enough that it wouldnt compromise the main story or hinder our insatiable desire for more and finding out what everyone else is doing. Speaking of, what is Batman doing and how is the Lantern Corps reacting to Freeza fucking showing up after getting the news he fucking quit being Emperor? What will Batman think when he hears? What about Ubo and Clark?

Character Art of finished quests, or at the very least still ongoing and consistent quests. I would have said Henchmen quest would be good but....

That’s a good idea but I don’t have a working knowledge of all quests on /qst/, unfortunately, or the artistic skills to put together a truly original ad.

I guess my only concern is that new players won’t have any idea who the quest MCs are, so I thought it would be easier to use the “stock” images of DBZ even though they’re not really representative.

But anyways, very open to suggestions since we’re essentially marketing to people who might be playing THIS quest

Well, then what does using stock images instead of sourced OC from Quest? We dont think we got it so dont come here.

Just gotta say, props to the people you commission for art that give Karn and Meloka scars. It's a small but greatly appreciated detail that really sells the whole "conquering warlord race" and shit. I'm not sure why Vegeta stopped having scars, but I'm just going to chalk it up to Shenron's wishes reconstructing his body every time he bites it. They are sadly missed.
>>

So there's a specific range of angry you have to be in to awaken the Berserker Soul? Most Saiyans aren't angry enough or they're TOO ANGRY like Savage Meloka?

With Punished Meloka it isn’t a question of anger, but of sanity. She’s BROKEN mentally, her mind too twisted and warped. Not to say the Berserker Soul didn’t TRY, as the last Saiyan alive in her timeline. But Miyashi was swallowed up by her madness.

>>
>>5749748
Yes. And you see why she went mad, she lost EVERYONE. Her husband, children, family, people, all of it gone. All she has left are the empty, lifeless world full of painful memories of better days and the ghosts of her past she sees, which may or may not really even be there.
>>
>>5749761
Did she atleast get back whoever did it?
>>
>>5749791
No. In that timeline the Covenant razed her world from orbit, glassing it with their ship cannons after having been repelled by the Saiyans. Then, after being killed by a “ghost”, a mad survivor they all fucked off, cordoning off that part of space and keeping everyone back while scanning the planet. Judging it too costly to bother killing the last Saiyan Warrior, waiting her lifespan out instead before colonizing and terraforming.
>>
>>5749817
fucking bitch-ass Splitjaws. Did Frieza avenge Karn in that timeline or were they not close enough to be friends like in our timeline?

No, the Cold clan were assassinated when the war first started.

So...they must have tried the same thing in this timeline, right?

>>
>>5749817
>Judging it too costly to bother killing the last Saiyan Warrior, waiting her lifespan out instead before colonizing and terraforming.
Pussies
>>
>>5749841
No, they got the Cold Clan first in that timeline. Their assassinations were how they declared war, not with the attack by Freeza on some of their planets like in this timeline.
>>5749843
They lost their siege in that timeline as well, but without leadership the PTO couldn't compete, New Salda was isolated then bombarded from orbit until only Meloka remained alive.
>>
>>5749847
Now I want to see a possible timeline where Meloka went through all of that, and somehow still went on to clutch the win for Universe 7 in the ToP, and wished to bring her entire race back.

QM UPDATE

Unfortunately there will be no new episode this weekend, as I'll be helping my brother move into his new place. As of now, this episode's epilogue will drop Saturday instead of tomorrow.
>>
>>5749730
So I'm curious. Even with us being able to draw on the power of the Berserker Soul, what we have isn't exactly the same as what Broly has. Even before we started focusing on separate forms.

Is it that Broly's a mutant COMBINED with a connection to the Berserker Soul? Whereas we just have the latter? Or is it that Broly's connection is just weirdly stronger than ours for some reason? Since we don't have the same meteoric growth that Broly has.
>>
>>5750758
The difference is Broly was chosen at birth, whereas Karn's rage at seeing the Big Gete Star invasion while Broly was out cold drew the Berserker Soul to him.
>>
>>5750767
So was Broly chosen at birth for any specific reason?
>>
>>5750747
No worries GD. Thank you for telling us, you the goat.
>>
>>5750767
Is broly related to Miyashi?
>>
>>5751204
Every Berserker is distantly related to Miyashi in some way, because the Berserker Gene has to have come from someone, who was also Miyashi's Ancestor as well. Karn's mother carried the Berserker gene btw.
>>
>>5751276
Yes I know. But I meant in a more literal direct bloodline of the guy.
>>
>>5751287
Broly was absurdly strong before the Berserker Mutation/Miyashi's influence began to manifest in him. It could be that Miyashi simply knew a genetic freak when he saw one and decided to get in on the ground floor so to speak.
>>
>>5751292
I mean he probably isn't going to bother manifesting in a weakling since his aim is to kill his swole ass god brother.
>>
>>5751356
By that same logic, he'd have his eyes on the strongest Saiyan available. There's a sound argument to be made that Broly fits that criteria about as much as Karn.
>>
>>5750775
Only Miyashi MAY know. Or it may not, instead simply being attracted to a powerful warrior without knowing why.
>>5751188
I try. Not a fan of moving, but am a practiced hand. What’s the man’s saying again? Practiced hands make light work?
>>5751204
Not directly, as Miyashi died without leaving behind any children. As the woman they both fought for chose his brother over him.
>>5751276
Yes and no. Broly and Karn aren’t the first to have the Berserker Soul within them, at some point.
>>5751287
Miyashi’s bloodline ended with him. As for Yamoshi, well. He might have gotten a certain woman pregnant who fled the battle with the others.
>>5751443
Strength is a prerequisite. But so is another factor, a far more spiteful one.
>>
>>5751459
>a far more spiteful one.
Penis envy. Something Karn and Broly know very well. They wish they weren't so big as to be inconvenient.

Think back on all I’ve revealed, especially today of the brothers.
I think you mean the BEST console Fallout game. Didn’t get past level 10 in 3 as I was already bored, got a single ending in 4 only because I was determined to destroy the institute as revenge for the stupid main story they made me slog through. Dunwich and the eldritch elements were cool, but I’d rather youtube lore vids across the series than actually play any more of that garbage. I’ll stick to New Vegas when I get the Fallout itch.
>>5751600
Good times indeed.
>>
>>5751744
Hmmmm...
To spite Yamoshi...
Is Miyashi trying to wipe out Yamoshi's bloodline?
>>
>>5751548
>I said spite, not rage. How does one spite a spirit?
You take away the thing that it lets it stay around, that it valued more then life or death itself, because if you can't be happy/get what you want, THEY can't either.

So yeah this anon
>>5751846
Is probably right and it involves killing the descendants of Yamoshi and the woman he loved who chose his brother over him.
>>
>>5751910
The real problem with that is determining the scope of Miyashi's hypothetical culling of Yamoshi's bloodline.
Is it just direct relatives? Or does it extend to all relatives and descendants? To that end, how would he even sniff them out?
He might just end up killing every Saiyan on the assumption that they're possibly related to Yamoshi in some way.
>>
>>5751916
Nah anon your not thinking like a spiteful undead berserker. What would hurt your peace loving brother more then being forced to fight his own distant grandson, the result of his and his wifes love, to murder his own blood, or face his own destruction?

I think Miyashi sensed Yamoshi starting to stir as the time of Prophecy Of The Super Saiyan Gods Revival drew closer and acted in such a way to cause his brother as much pain as possible before his demise. And hes partially succeeded beyond his wildest dreams.

He not only has a child of Yamoshis own blood, but the 'direct child' and or husband of his new incarnation as well under his potential sway.
>>
Hey GD, how many of our allies have received a Seal from Towa?
>>
>>5751846
Yes, but that’s not primary goal with who he chooses.
>>5751910
So close.
>>5751972
Bingo. What better way to hurt someone than to turn their descendant against them?

Freeza may have pride, but he’s also more than smart enough to know that he’s been slacking off on his training. And after seeing the results of his brother’s training firsthand, he realized he had absolutely nothing that could get him the win. The gap’s simply too massive.

>For the anime I'd agree, but Freeza saga in the manga is so well paced and structured.
Agreed, 100%. Everything was firing
>Why do you think so many people still claim that Goku vs Freeza was supposed to be the end of the series?
Because, while Toriyama never actually said as much, people around him at the time (like his editor) explicitly said the series should have ended there. Beyond that, you have the immediate aftermath with Goku's survival and Trunks' debut reading like massive asspulls.
Mind you, the Android/Cell Saga eventually got to a GREAT place by the end, but you can tell Toriyama was just flying by the seat of his pants at times. Then we got the Buu Saga, which I'm pretty sure nobody besides small children and rabid Latinos argue is well written.
>>
>>5755993
No arc after the Freeza arc was as tightly written, the arc's climax so expertly foreshadowed and built upon the previous arcs. After that nothing else even comes close.
>>
Now that I'm four posts into the action on this epilogue, it's so much fun to write. I'm feeling revitalized, the writer's block gone. Thirty seconds into the first round we have our first knockdown, place your bets who you think downed who, Broly or Maza. Both boxing in their Primal forms.
>>

To be honest, even the Freeza arc wasn't as tightly written as many would claim to be. Let's not ignore the big elephant in the room called Power Cliffing on top of Power Escalation—Zenkai Boost, Unlock Potentials, Multiple Transformations, etc. FFS Piccolo trained with King Kai for only a week or two at best and was stronger than Nail.

And let's not forget the whole Shenron being able to be used again despite having already used a wish to bring back Goku within the same year. 5 bucks say that Kami was trolling or once again Toriyama's goldfish memory kicked in and he forgot.
>>
>>5757284
Aged poorly? That was only uhhhhhh...4 years ago. Goddamn.
Hard to remember how long this quest has been running sometimes.
>>
>>5757297
Shenron’s easy, as the same thing happens Cell Saga. When a new Guardian is named, or the old one is reborn, Shenron is ALSO reborn of their power. As for powerlevels going wild, it was all to show how nightmarishly strong Freeza was. That god himself, the then-highest being in the cosmology told Goku he couldn’t and SHOULD NOT fight Freeza. And he was right, even with the otherworldly techniques of King Kai Goku failed.

I know it was said in the anime, I’d have to double check the manga, King Kai said Piccolo set the record for reaching his home. But when Goku ran Snake Way in the manga it seemingly took him him months with his ~326 powerlevel. Piccolo was in the 3-5k range at the time. The trip TO Namek was stated to be 6months. Toriyama’s biggest asspull of the arc, well theres 2. Guru’s potential unlock and the Ginyu Force. Powerup asspulls were a thing since the King Piccolo arc, and while I don’t like it there either it is canon such things can happen. And, let’s be fair, the Ginyu Force make the arc better. They do bloat it a few chapters, but nothing really changes because of them. We’d have gotten the exact same end result with them removed entirely, only missing a “is he the Super Saiyan?” Vegeta buildup Toriyama needed to build anticipation for that Chekov’s Gun to go off.
>>5757299
Right? That was the first Babidi encounter, Karn vs Trigon.
>>
>>5757313
Pretty sure the trip to Namek was 1 month. It took them 10 days to fix up Kami's ship and then one month (about 34 days according to the guide timelines). Then add the 6 days it took Goku to reach Namek and it's 40 days total.

The Ginyus were fine and honestly not that harmful compared to Frieza's absurd ass. His personal guards Dodoria and Zarbon are within the 20ks in base, with Zarbon pushing to the 30ks when transformed. So it makes sense that the Ginyu Force minus Guido would be around 40-60k since they're the best of the best. And Ginyu being 120k while a little silly still made sense since he was basically Frieza's right-hand man. Even Frieza jumping to 1 million in his second form has grounds to make sense. Mostly. It's just when you look at it all together it starts to feel like the series was speedruning its power creep towards the sun for a grand finale.

Final form Frieza is just an egregious overkill that permanently destroyed all semblance of sense and reason when it comes to power levels.

Also, I'm going to add the giant fish jumping out of nowhere to distract Vegeta when he was about to close in on Krillin and Gohan to be on the same level of asspull as the Potential Unlock and Frieza's three transformations (4 if we're counting 100% Full Power Frieza)
>>
>>5757284
in all fairness the hate is mutual. it doesn't help that the CCP stokes their citizens hatred to distract from their own problems.
>>
>>5757399
Honestly, every government does that. Always have.
>>
>>5757321
It was really the escalation from third form to final that made it a bit silly. I know that numbers were meant to be inaccurate in the show by design (scoutercel mooks getting constantly BTFO), but the jumps from 500k/530k* to 1mil* to 2mil/3mil* and then the egregious leap to 120mil really tests the disbelief from time to time, especially when Frieza said he was using 2%* in his final form against vegeta which would be only 2.4 million (though he could've cranked it up during the fight). I feel as though the whole "powerlevels are bullshit" would be more justifiable in universe if the heroes still beat the villain's ass despite the powergap in favor of evil, instead of just getting a bigger powerlevel. It's why the Saiyan Saga is probably my favorite since it took everyone to beat Vegeta, who was far and away the strongest being on the planet at the time. It felt more like a shared victory for the Dragon Team + Yajirobe

*I forgot which numbers and percentages were true canon, dunno how info differs from the source to the daizenshuu to the kai dub
>>
>>5757321
I’d have to go back and recheck the manga after tonight’s epilogue, but I could have sworn it was months long. Perhaps that was a dub-ism?
>Final form Frieza is just an egregious overkill that permanently destroyed all semblance of sense and reason when it comes to power levels.
That was the ENTIRE point of Freeza though. The epitome of what Vegeta told Goku on earth, that natural talent and power supersede any level of hard work. It’s where Vegeta learned that philosophy from. Think about it, prince of the warrior race fightshis way up to being near on par with the WEAKER of Freeza’s personal guards(18,000 vs 22,000), only for Freeza’s powerlevel to be 530,000. Which was already terrifying enough, but the fact he could transform wasn’t widely known in the PTO. Vegeta even didn’t know, and we know he took orders DIRECTLY from the emperor himself. Freeza IS the pinnacle of numbered powerlevels, dwarfing even Goku going beyond his limits. Now, not getting into the gritty numbers, but he HAD to be numerically impossible. Otherwise the Super Saiyan wouldn’t have worked as a transformation, wouldn’t have inspired the awe and fear that it did by humbling the impossibly high wall that was Freeza. And, in the manga, making it look EASY. Go back and reread the manga, it was -almost- as one sided as Vegito vs Buu or Vegeta vs Android 18, or in the movies Gogeta Blue vs Broly.
>fish
That was a straight asspull, but Toriyama-flavored comedy there. Vegeta’s not used to ki sense, unable to realize that the fish isn’t what he sensed. A good bit of dramatic tension undercut by a gag is very Japanese comedy, like a lot of early Dragonball. Krillin vs Blue comes to mind.
>>5757399
>>5757416
I was talking about the “relevant Gohan” line. And here we are with that new Piccolo and Gohan movie, 4 years later.
>>5757507
Technically 4th form was 60million, the “100%” was Freeza’s equivalent to Trunks’ USSJ form. Both green, inexperienced fighters who only fought by increasing power, not understanding the finer points of fighting. I love the comparisons of Future Trunks and Freeza, could do a whole half hour youtube video on them had I gone that content route instead of this.
>powerlevels are bullshit
Yes and no. They only measure points in time, not how one’s strength can grow in a fight. At a basic level, the Kamehameha. Multiplies the user’s powerlevel by ~2.3x, as we see in Goku vs Raditz. By concentrating a user’s ki into a point, it amplifies the ki concentration, boosting the number. But the entire purpose of the numbers was to blow everyone away with Freeza’s numbers, only for him to break the scale beyond repair at the end before even reaching his last form just to make the heroes, and the audience, feel that dread. Because numbers are easy to understand. Goku’s big number against Ginyu was 180,000, not a coincidence that on earth, Great Ape Vegeta’s powerlevel was the EXACT SAME to show his progress.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 202 Epilogue-

AGE ???, TOWA'S LAB

“In the red corner, hailing from the demon realm and with a measured powerlevel of 192 billion, we have the future king of the demon realm, Maza!” your brother Chilli declares, gesturing to your half-demon half-brother. Everyone cheers, Auntie Towa clapping with a smile. He raises a fist, clad in red padded gloves.
“And in the blue corner, hailing from the destroyed world of the Saiyans Vegeta, with a powerlevel of 231 billion, we have the Berserker himself, Broly!” Chilli shouts, turning to your brother and you, your hands massaging his shoulders.
“Come on, raise a glove.” you whisper in his ear as everyone cheers him as well, Broly giving you a small nod then raising one fist, upper arm parallel to the stage and right upper arm upright. Chilli then turns to your alternate timeline self, handing the microphone to her and leaping off the stage, landing by his family in the makeshift stands. His daughter is bouncing up and down excitedly, your niece's missing tooth making her look as adorable as ever.

“Once more, remember. No shots below the belt, fists only, no using ki or flying. Try and keep at least one foot on the stage at all times and obey my commands. Both fighters ready?” Future Chaya, wearing an odd black and white striped shirt says, looking back and forth between the brothers. Then, crossing her arms and stepping out from between them, shouts, “BOX!”
“Go! Rush now!” you shout to your brother, who immediately puts his hands up by his chin and mouth, backs-out towards his half-brother. The Peek-a-Boo stance. But as he takes two steps out, Maza simply lunges, sliding to a stop just a foot from Broly and firing up a left-handed Smash up at his guard. Broly sees it coming, stacking his gloves to take the hit and absorb his brother's blow. But Maza's Smash is too strong, using the full power of his legs, back and arm sends both Broly's hands straight up into the air. “Shit!”

“Now!” Perfect Cell calls from Maza's corner, your half-demon sibling twisting. Planting his feet, he twists and fires a heavy right hook at Broly's head. But, right as the red glove is about to strike, your brother leans back while pulling his arms back, Maza's wide swing missing his nose by a hair's width. As the red glove passes by his face, you can hear your brother's left hand clench tight on his blue glove as he steps back with his right foot, finding his balance and dropping his level. Maza's eyes widen as his blow goes wide right before Broly swings, the padded blue fist driving up into Maza's liver.
“Yes! You got him!” you cheer as Maza staggers a step back, the blow stunning him. “Now GO!”

You are Chaya, firstborn daughter of Karn and Meloka, the Berserker and Super Saiyan God of your timeline and current reigning champion of Dreadzone. And for the past month, with Broly's fiance Koriand'r, the former Tamaranean princess's help, you have been training your brother to fight his half-brother in a boxing match here in Towa's Realm. At first he wasn't into it, but after watching Camali fight, he became more interested. All leading up to today, where the two throw down after your Dad took another adventure down in the Abyss, finally sealing it up. But now's not the time for that, you focus on the fight as Broly ducks back behind his tight guard, firing a right jab followed by a left straight at Maza's open jaw from his southpaw stance.

“That's it, set up your pace!” you shout, your Primal brother firing a quick 1-1-2 into the Primal Demon's guard. Maza, having taken the other hits to the face raises his guard now, blocking the strikes with his gloves and arms.
“Block him, focus on getting your balance back before firing back!” Cell calls, Broly pushing him back with his quick, compact punches back into the center of the ring. Setting up his powerful left straights with his right jabs. Maza, for his part, takes the hits well with his guard, backing up under the barrage. But then, after taking a couple steps he stops backing up, firing a left jab straight at Broly's jaw. Stopping him in his tracks mid-step.

“Yes, that's the way! Your jabs are sharp, keep him back with them until you recover!” Cell orders, Maza listening and following his corner's directions to a t. Broly tries to match his half-brother's jabs, but Maza's are a lot faster. Winning out the long range fight, quickly forcing Broly backwards.
“Shell up! Turtle, turtle!” you call to him, Broly retaking the Peek-a-Boo guard. Maza's razor-sharp jabs stab into his guard over and over. Broly holds his ground, not letting Maza's relentless attack push him backwards. “Good, now start weaving! Weave, weave!”

Broly listens and follows your calls without hesitation, keeping his hands up while weaving his head back and forth. He moves flawlessly, dodging Maza's hits by shifting his entire upper body side to side. He easily weaves the attacks, dodging his half-brother's strikes while keeping his hands up front.

“Stop that weaving, you need to throw your right as well. Your right, your right.” Cell calls out, Maza throwing his left jab, then as Broly dodges to his right he follows up with a right straight. But Broly, having kept his guard up, blocks the punch with his left glove. And, seizing the opportunity, your brother retaliates, swinging a right jab for his half-brother's unguarded face. Catching Maza by surprise, striking him square in the nose and knocking him back.

“Do it, tear into him!” you call, Broly stepping forward and striking Maza with another right, establishing his body roll for the devastating follow up. His left lands clean, knocking his half-brother another step backwards. Broly, drawing his right back uses the full power of his body, twisting and throwing everything into a left overhand that catches Maza by surprise. He doubles over, but still manages to plant his foot and avoid going down. Only to see Broly's right rising in an uppercut right for his face. The Primal Demon, eyes wide leans his head as far to the side as he can, Broly's gloved fist only grazing the younger warrior's cheek. Realizing the position he's in Maza backs off, no doubt to get his balance and recover. “Don't let him have any room to breathe! Attack, attack!”

“Hrrrr!” Broly growls through gritted teeth, dashing forward and chasing Maza down with lightning-swift right jabs. Which he wears on his gloves, Broly's power pushing him back further and further across the ring with every strike.
“Don't let him pressure you, lash out!” Cell calls, fists slamming down onto the arena from his corner as Maza is pushed back towards him. “Don't let him find his rhythm!”
“HAAA!” Broly roars, firing a powerful left into Maza's guard and knocking him sliding backwards, hitting the ropes right by his corner. But Broly doesn't rush in immediately, instead as he closes in you see his head weaving figure eights in the air. But that's not all, as he weaves his head he also weaves his upper body, throwing each shoulder forward in time. Looks like he's decided to use it now.

“DO IT!” you shout as the ropes pull taught, Maza's body bouncing back towards him.
“Get out of there, now!” Cell shouts, no doubt recognizing what Broly's about to do. But it's far too late, Broly swinging a powerful left hook with his high velocity weight shifting. His heavy blow smashes into Maza's guard, his upper body twisting around. But that only gives his follow up right even more momentum, Broly twisting his entire body and putting the power of his legs, back, shoulders, and arms into the second hit. Again Maza blocks, but unable to break free, Broly continues swinging back and forth. The power and force of each blow leading into the next one, forming an unstoppable onslaught.

“HAAAAAAA!” Broly roars as his right heavy hook knocks his brother's arms aside, leading into a heavy left hook to the jaw. His fist lands cleanly, then with a roar slams Maza's face down to the mat so hard he bounces.
“D-Down!” Future Chaya shouts, stepping between you both. “Broly, to a neutral corner.”

Your gathered family all then start cheering as he backs away, either for Broly or telling Maza to get up as other you starts the countdown.

“And in only thirty seconds, Broly has scored the first down.” Chilli calls to everyone, speaking into a crystalline object shaped like a microphone that projects his voice from each corner of the room. Turning and looking, you notice what look like crystal copies of your dad's ship's hallway speakers in each corner, leaving you wondering if there's anything your brother's magic CAN'T do.
“One! Two!” future you calls, swinging her arm down with a finger extended for each number. “Three!”
“Stay down until the seven count, take a breath to cool your head!” Cell calls to Maza, who turns to him and nods.
“Four!” older you says, you turning to Broly who is bouncing a bit in place, not letting his body relax and keeping his tension. Ready to spring back in the moment the fight's resumed, just as practiced.

“That one rattled him, be ready as soon as you hear the go!” you call out to him, Broly turning to you and giving a curt nod. Pounding his gloved fists together, the sound echoing over everyone's cheers and calls. However, you notice your father's silent, watching events unfold as he sits there quietly.
“Five! Six!” she calls, Maza rolling over and doing a pushup to get a knee under him, then his opposite foot. “Seven!”
“I'll continue.” he says, standing back up as if he hadn't just gotten his brain rattled around, bringing his arms up defensively before him as he stares Broly down. Future you takes one look in his eyes and steps back, crossing her arms before her with a call of “Box!” Maza, however, isn't content to play defensively, stepping in at high speed before Broly leaves the corner, firing a flurry of sharp left jabs all at his face. But none connect, Broly resuming his Peek-a-Boo guard and wearing the punches on his forearms and gloves. Slowly picking his weaving back up, body swaying side-to-side as he builds power back up. “Oh no you don't!”

Then, in a surprising move, Maza lunges straight into close range, using his shoulder to slam Broly back against the pillar then fire a short right uppercut straight into his guard. With his fist kept narrow, not turned wide, his glove slips between Broly's in that particular guard, the uppercut slicing through your brother's guard and finding his chin easily. Rocking his head back with the force of the blow.

“GOT YOU!” he roars, throwing a heavy, wide left hook at Broly's now-exposed temple. Broly grits his teeth, pulling his right arm up at his temple while dropping his left, barely blocking the punch. Maza's power still rocks him, staggering the larger fighter a half step. He manages to plant a foot to avoid falling, but Maza doesn't hesitate, going on the attack.

However, as he pulls his right back and swinging a wide hook once again, Broly attacks with a left straight, his strike finding Maza's face first. But Maza somehow slips it, Broly's attack sliding of Maza's cheek as the blue-skinned Primal Demon's heavy right slams into Broly's temple. A devastating counter punch, one that staggers the bigger fighter. Stunning him and leaving him wide open for a devastating left uppercut to the liver.

“Guh!” you hear him wheeze from the force of the blow, Broly's entire body doubling up on itself, leaving his face exposed.
“Guard up, guard up!” you call out to him desperately, but he's still recoiling from the damage. Which Maza capitalizes on, swinging a heavy right into Broly's temple once again. This second one hits even harder without being partially interrupted by a jab, this time sending him staggering backwards. “Dammit, get your hands up! He's going on the attack! Defend, defend!”

“Now's your chance!” Cell calls, Maza exploding out of the corner with a trio of left jabs to the face followed by a right hook to the jaw this time. This blow snaps his head around, clearly rattling his head before following it up with another left body shot, ending the combination with a right straight to the nose. Broly's blood spraying from his broken nose as he falls back, crashing to the ground.

“DOWN!” your future self calls out, getting between the two once again. “Maza, go to a neutral corner.”
“And in a stunning reversal, Maza drops Broly with a right at only 47 seconds in.” Chilli commentates, you slap your open palms on the stage repeatedly.
“Dammit! Broly, can you hear me?” you call out, your brother not moving as the other Chaya starts the count. He doesn't even move for the first four count, then looks around in a daze. He then sees you, squinting as he's clearly out of it. Just how hard was Maza's punches to the temple? So, knowing he probably can't hear you, you start gesturing with both arms to get up, to rise back up. And while he looks shaky, Broly pushes himself back up onto his feet at the nine count, raising his fists back into his Peek-a-Boo guard. “That's it! You can do it!”

“Can you continue?” the other Chaya asks, looking in his eyes. But she must see that he's come to, stepping back and signaling them to continue. “BOX!”

The two half-brothers stare each other down a moment, Maza looking rather pleased with himself as he punches his gloves together, then launches himself forward towards Broly.

“Here he comes!” you call, Maza surging forward. But Broly seems ready, firing a right jab as Maza closes in. However, having seemingly recovered from his earlier damage Maza weaves the jab, ducking under it while stepping in left, towards Broly's exposed body.
“Got you!” he shouts, twisting counterclockwise to throw another of those smashes up into Broly's guts. However, your brother seemingly saw this coming, twisting from his right jab into a left overhand, twisting his back left foot and causing his entire upper body to twist. Making Maza's heavy punch not connect squarely, the devastating Smash only glancing across Broly's furred side as his own fist drops like a hammer. Connecting squarely into Maza's temple, nearly dropping him once more. But Maza plants his left foot, hands only a few inches from the mat.

“He hasn't hit the mat, keep going!” you shout, but as Broly readies himself to attack, Maza explodes upward.
“GRRRRAAAAAA!” he roars, twisting into a left rising uppercut all the way up from the mat. Broly, seeing the attack coming, steps back instead of trying to block it. Causing Maza's massive swing to miss, but the sheer force of the blow buffets Broly, the wind blowing your own hair back all the way from the corner. Broly then retaliates with a heavy left hook, aimed at Maza's head, only for the white-haired Primal Demon to DUCK the heavy blow! Following up his heavy left uppercut with a right, Broly leaning back and narrowly avoiding the power blow once more. Neither man backs up, both standing toe-to-toe and swinging for the fences.

Both men refuse to stand down, swinging their KO punches in that dangerous infighting range. Each blow slices through the air, sending bursts of wind from the stage throughout the room. Everyone is hypnotized by the action, unable to tear your eyes away as you watch the half brothers fighting one of the most dangerous battles of boxing. If either one makes a single mistake, they'll take a devastating blow, one that could set their opponent up for victory. The entire room is silent but for their grunts and the whistling of slicing air, leaving no doubt in your mind that, no matter the final outcome, this fight isn't going to go to any sort of decision. One of these warriors is going to knock the other out, it's only a matter of time.

It might be selective memory playing tricks on you. But it was a month, practically two given the entire namek arc fiasco.

As for Frieza, I'm well aware of all that you said and the point of him having such an absurd number constitutes for the Super Saiyan. I've re-(x4)read the entire arc recently with DumpKing on /a/ so I know how one-sided the fight is. So you don't need to convince me. I still don't like it but I understand it. I just don't see the Ginyu's being anywhere near as bad compared to all the other problems on Namek. I didn't even consider them as such considering how Frieza is characterized and portrayed. The arc could've ended ages ago if the spoiled brat wasn't so entitled and felt it was beneath him to play with ants. It's that all-encompassing hubris that fucks him over which makes the arc all the more wonderful. So him calling his A-Team to do the job after his personal guard fucked up makes perfect sense.

Personally, I think the Saiyan Saga is the last tightly written series of DB. And despite my grips with Frieza's arc, I still ultimately like and find it far better written than the next two arcs after it. And it would've been fine for a finale since it doesn't do what it's trying to do anywhere worse than any other final arc in Shonen, except for a select few.

>>5757507
Agree with all of this. I'm the abnormality that doesn't really care for One-sided beatdowns in comparison to near to evenly matched opponents or a gauntlet raid boss where everyone contributes to bringing big bad down. It's fun to watch the first time sure depending on the fight, but it's ultimately unfulfilling and becomes a chore during re-reads or rewatches.
>>
>>5757872
The Ginyu Force, while one of my personal highlights didn't CHANGE anything in the story, could be removed entirely without changing the story significantly. They show up just to get eliminated by Goku and put him out of commission for the start of the Freeza fight. Which is the exact same as if they never appeared and Goku showed up to save everyone from Freeza instead of Recoome. Not dissing the Saiyan saga, it's number 2 for me. 23rd WMAT is a close third. Everything the Saiyan Saga became came from that iconic fight, a real shame more people haven't seen that one. So much style, and one of the best Piccolo fights ever. I'd even say its better than Piccolo vs 17, since he gets to have more personality and cunning on display.
Most one-sided beatdowns I'd agree. But going back to the manga, Super Saiyan Goku vs Freeza is such a tightly paced fight, you get in, read the fight in less than five minutes and Namek goes boom. Goku spends more time talking with Freeza after he's bisected himself than in the actual fight itself.

But more importantly, what did you think of the epilogue?
