With the defeat of Majin Buu and the Remnants at the Battle of Namek, peace has come to the Seventh Universe. With no imminent battles to fight or wars to wage, the Saiyans have enjoyed their first long-term peace since their ancestors first landed on Planet Vegeta all those years ago. Yet this peacetime hasn't slowed the progress of the warrior race known as the Saiyans, whose power have continued to grow day after day. Foremost among this warrior race is the Fateless man known as the “Dragon of New Salda” and the first Super Saiyan to have appeared in a thousand years.

You the players play as this warrior named Karn in the year Age 756, a man who has grown from a brawler with a powerlevel less than three thousand to now being the strongest of his kind, wielding the ancient emerald power of the Berserker and father of nearly a dozen children with his wife Meloka. After mastering the Yardratian ability known as Spirit Control, your power has grown beyond all previous limits.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

The day of Karn's granddaughter's second birthday arrived, Chilli showing off his newest spell to keep his planet's inhabitants from bothering him or his family ever again before everyone traveled to King Cold's world. Where he informed Chilli and Karn that he'd found Nabu. So Karn and Chilli, under Kars's time stop traveled to the Kryptonian Superman's planet, defeating and killing the cowardly god as revenge for trying to kill them both. After killing the god Karn and Chilli returned, only for the Kars there to have been an imposter from another timeline, that is captured by everyone's help. Even the Time Patrol sent a competent Stand user, trapping the monster Majin Ozotto in a piece of paper. And as we rejoin Karn, a month has passed in relative quiet since the new year started, your oldest-born son reaching out to you.

“Hey Dad, are you busy at the moment?” he asks you out of the blue as you sit down to supper with the rest of the family, Chaya, Chilli and Broly each off on their own doing their own things. “I need to ask you something.”
“Of course, what's going on?” you reply instantly, trading a look with your wife. She recognizes it instantly, nodding slightly in acknowledgment. “Is something wrong?”
“No no no, not wrong. But I was interested in going to Planet Yardrat, learning from Elder Pybara like you and Mom have. And I was wondering if you could make the introductions for me?”
“Of course, give me a minute to see what he's got going on.” you reply to Chilli, quickly filling Meloka in before turning your focus out. You feel out for Elder Pybara's mind, reaching out to him. “Elder Pybara, how is everything going?”

“Karn, good to hear from you. Life is well, quiet and peaceful here on Yardrat.” the elder replies good-naturedly. “How about yourself and the family?”
“We're doing well, but speaking of family, I have an ask of you.” you answer, quickly telling him what Chilli'd said. “Would you consider training him as well? He's a smart kid, honestly smarter than I am. He'd learn everything you have to offer in record time.”
“Oho? Well, we shall see if he is capable of learning.” the elder replies, you almost able to see the smile on his face in your mind. “And if he can, if he can master the training even faster than your Emperor Freeza. Once he achieved balance, he learned everything I had to teach at an unbelievable pace. But bring him down whenever, I shall be here to receive him.”

“Thank you, Elder Pybara.” you reply, then ending that link and turning your thoughts back to your son. “He's agreed to see if you've got what it takes. When do you want to head on over to see him?”

“Are you really ready?” you ask him, trying to project your concern to him. “What about Megumin and Meloka Wolbach? This training can take months of continuous effort without leaving the planet, and that's just to get started.”
“Don't worry, I already thought ahead. Megumin and I've been talking about it.” he replies. “I've got this.”

Which you accept, turning your gaze to Meloka before speaking.

“I'll be right back, Chilli's going to Yardrat.” you tell her, raising your right hand to your forehead. And with a moment's thought, focusing on your son's energy, teleport directly to him. One instant you're at the table, the next find yourself outside Chili's home, standing beside one of his crystal teleport gates. “Do you have everything?”
“In just a second. Collapse.” he says, placing his hand on the gateway. And to your surprise it seemingly folds in on itself, shrinking down into a gate the size of his fist, your son palming it before turning to you. “Just had to make sure it worked first.”

“I see.” you say, not entirely sure what his plan is as you switch your focus to Elder Pybara. “Hold on.”
“Right.” he replies, and with another thought you disappear once more. This time leaving Chilli's world, gifted to him by Lord Freeza and reappearing inside Elder Pybara's place.
“Ahh, there you are. Good to see you.” the elder says, addressing you first. “Maintaining your balance, I see.”
“Of course, Elder.” you reply with a Saiyan salute, then turn to your son. “And this is my eldest-born son, Chilli.”
“Good to meet you, Chilli.” the elder says, smiling to your son. “Your father spoke quite highly of you, during his time here.”
“Really?” he asks, turning towards you a moment before meeting the elder's gaze.
“Yes. And you are most certainly Karn's son.” he says, turning to your son. “Now, let me see if you are capable of beginning the training.”

“Hold on, just a moment.” your son says to him, a note of worry in his voice. “Is this the part where it could take months?”
“Oh no, no. I'm just going to observe your spirit, to see how balanced your soul is and give you an estimate on how long this training COULD take you.” the elder replies with his usual smile. “After all, I know you have a family to return to. Now, hold still.”

Elder Pybara, still in his gigantic form lays a hand atop your son's head, closing his eyes for a moment. His expression grows a bit darker, his smile turning to a frown as he studies Chilli. Then, after several moments of silence he releases Chilli, looking like he has bad news.

“Oh my. Your spirit and body are quite misaligned. Far more so than anyone else I've ever seen.” he tells Chilli, confirming one of your worries. “This could take quite a while.”
“Alright. Then, I do have one request.” your son says, opening his hand and showing the elder his shrunken down crystal gate. “Would I have your permission to set up a portal, one connecting your world with my own home? That way they can still visit, even while I'm focused on my training?”
“If that is your wish, then I shall permit it.” he replies. “However, the more distracted you get, the longer the training will take. And, while realigning your body and spirit, you cannot face any distractions or it could set you back.”

“That is a risk I'm willing to take. A daughter needs to see her father, after all.” he answers, the elder smiling.
“Very well. I shall show you to where you can set your portal up, near the training area.” Elder Pybara says, shrinking back down to his natural size before turning to you. “Will you be staying, Karn?”

Well?

“I'll stay for a bit to help explain it to my granddaughter before heading home.” you reply to the elder, who smiles knowingly at you a moment before turning.
“Very well, if you would both follow me.” he says, walking from the room. He leads you both outside, but on the way to the training area you notice your son seems more quiet than usual. He's looking down as he follows the elder, you see he's clearly lost in thought. After a moment's consideration you decide against prying, if he wants your help or advice he knows you'll answer him when he's ready to talk.

The Yardratian elder leads you both back out to the spike pit where you'd gone training with him before. And you see a surprising figure there, in his largest form balanced precariously on one spike.

“Cooler? What are you doing here?” you ask, Freeza's brother opening his eyes as he looks to you, and even with his mask on in his fifth form, you can tell he's smirking at you.
“Karn.” Cooler replies, standing there on a single toe as he stares at the three of you. “Elder Pybara, I see you have a new disciple.”
“Yes, this soul is quite lost.” the elder says, Cooler's eyes widening. He no doubt knows what happened back at his father's place, along with what happened to that cowardly god. “But we'll set him on the right path.”
“We?” you and Cooler both ask simultaneously, the elder only smirking before turning to Chilli.

“You may set your portal up over here, as we shall be here for the majority of your training.” the elder tells your son, who nods and kneels down, setting the small crystal archway on the ground.
“Expand.” he says, the archway swelling and reverting back to the size you'd seen it before back on his world. He then mutters something too quietly for you to hear, pressing his hand to it and the doorway activates. You immediately sense both Megumin and Meloka Wolbach, as well as other minuscule powerlevels back on his world through the link. Then, just as the image through the portal begins to become clear, you hear a very familiar child's voice call out.

“DADDY!” your granddaughter shouts in excitement, rocketing through the portal and crashing square into his chest. He catches her with a laugh, hugging her as his wife also steps through. However, as she does she staggers a moment, her staff catching her. Chilli sees this and steps forward, Megumin waving him off before tapping her staff on the ground, her entire body becoming outlined in crimson magical energy. “Momma? What happened?”

“Oh it's fine, just wasn't ready for the increased gravity.” she says, but you don't notice a difference from here and his planet. But perhaps you've just grown far more accustomed to 60x New Salda's gravity to the extent something that slight is beyond your notice anymore? “But look at you, you don't even feel it.”
“Increased gravity?” she asks, squirming to be let down. Then she starts walking, wobbling a bit as she steps. “Woah, you're right! It's harder to move here than back home! My arms and legs feel heavi-GRANDPA!!”

Her train of thought is completely derailed as she sees you, your granddaughter rocketing directly for your chest. You easily catch her, holding her up above your head a moment before holding her close.

“What're you doing here?” she asks you after hugging you close for several seconds.
“I just brought your father here so he can train, but I wasn't going to leave before seeing you.” you tell her, Meloka Wolbach giggling a bit before squirming to be put down. As she does, however, you hear a certain lizard muttering something like, “Turning into a damned zoo around here.” But you ignore Cooler's comment, focusing on her. “But Chilli is going to start some real serious training soon. And once he's up there like Cooler, you can't interrupt him, understand?”

“Cooler?” she asks, turning and looking up at him. “Are you Cooler?”
“I am Lord Cooler.” he answers, your granddaughter looking confused up to him. And with a flash of inspiration whisper to her.
“He's Freeza's brother.” you tell her, her eyes widening in surprise and understanding.
“OOOOH! Hi!” she says, waving to him as he glowers at you. No doubt having heard you. “You're really big!”
“Yes.” he replies, rising back up to his full height before leaping down, standing only a few feet away from you. “Good to see you've been keeping up with your training. It would be a shame to defeat and humiliate you when you're not at your best.”

You stare Cooler down, Freeza's brother not backing down. To which you smirk.

“Whenever you're ready, I'll accept your challenge anytime.” you reply to him, your granddaughter freezing as she can no doubt feel the tension in the air. She squirms her way out of your arms, flying back over to your daughter-in-law. “But no matter how long you take, it won't change the outcome.”
“Oh, really?” he asks, clenching his fists. He then blazes his pale blue aura up, powerlevel surging. But as his strength continues surging higher and higher, his aura begins to change. The color shifts from blue to golden, his skin taking on the same golden sheen as his might exponentially explodes. Cooler has begun learning to tap into his family's Golden power. But it lasts only for an instant, Cooler reverting back to his normal fifth form as he smirks. “You won't be stronger than me for long.”

“Good, maybe then you'll finally be a challenge.” you reply without blinking, without flinching. Not showing any signs of worry or concern that he's begun tapping into the same power his brother wields. “Once you can hold it long enough for a real fight, bring it on.”

And without another word turn from him, back to your family as you walk over to them. Chilli looks stunned while his wife is unimpressed, while your granddaughter has only eyes for her dad. You walk over to her and ruffle her hair, telling her to behave herself before turning to your son.

“If you need anything, let me know.” you tell him, Chilli blinking out of his momentary shock at Cooler's strength before turning to you, nodding. “Both of you. This could take a while, let me know if you need help.”
“I think we'll be fine.” Megumin says, a small smile as she looks back to her husband. “All of us.”

Again you thank the elder then refocus on your wife, returning home. Where you immediately see the concern on her face, no doubt having sensed Cooler's momentary power surge.

“What the hell was that?” she asks, alarmed. So you explain what you saw to her telepathically, your wife's expression darkening. “What will you do if he really masters it?”
“Then I'll not hold back when he comes for his rematch.” you reply easily, then dig into your food.

After taking Chilli to Planet Yardrat, again your life settled back into its usual rhythm. Training, teaching your children and students, and more training fill your days, you feeling deep down in your bones that the Destroyer will soon be coming. Determined to prepare your body for the full power of that god-destroying power in full, you push yourself even harder than ever. Even while on your once a month weekly trip into Towa's realm, spending time with your half-demon children you put an emphasis on readying yourself. Something Towa decides to comment on, two months after taking Chilli to train with Elder Pybara.

“You seem more focused than usual.” she says, just appearing beside you as you go through your morning workout alone. Without Chaya to consider you've pushed yourself and the training room here to a hundred times New Salda's gravity, forcing yourself to fight through the sharp uptick in gravity. “Has something happened?”
“Kinda.” you reply through panting breaths, switching to telepathy to conserve air. “Cooler's near transformation kinda kicked me back into high gear, I've not been pushing myself as hard as I could have been.”

“I see.” she answers, then smirks as you finish your set, collapsing to the ground in exhaustion. Towa then gets atop you, straddling you and grinding her hips down onto you with a mischievous smile. “Well, I know a way to make this a bit more fun.”

Which you accept, your morning training routine increasing in length that morning by around another hour. But once your morning workout is finished, you walking over to turn off the Gravity Chamber, you hear Towa shout in surprise.

“Ah-! M-Mechikabura?” Towa exclaims, you turning to see her bowing to a familiar figure despite her state of undress. The Demon God Mechikabura is standing there before her, wry look on his face.
“Pardon me, am I interrupting something?” he asks knowingly. “My apologies. But this matter is rather urgent.”
“What is?” you ask, you getting a gut feeling that, whatever's about to happen, it won't be good.
“I am in need of your assistance, Karn.” Mechikabura says, his anger slipping in his voice. “I need you to kill a god for me. One of my Dark Dragon Balls was just stolen.”

“Stolen? By who?” Towa asks, rising up while covering herself with her hands to magic her skintight suit back over her body, restoring it to pristine shape as if she hadn't torn it off of herself. “Who would dare?”
“Who would dare indeed.” he replies, tapping his staff and projecting an image up towards the ceiling. You look up and see a green-skinned man with white hair, slamming the orb into a purple and red skinned monster's chest. The creature howls as the orb is implanted into its chest, body changing. It grows more spikes as dark energy radiate out from the orb into the being's chest, its eyes glowing with malice before the unknown Kai grabs the monster and disappears into a wormhole. “His name is Zamasu. A Kai from the tenth universe, whose goal is to destroy all of mortal kind. And a rather good subordinate, when he followed orders. But it seems he has gone rogue.”

“But Karn can't-!” Towa starts to object, then changes her tone before continuing. “He can't handle Zamasu AND Janemba, not like that.”
“Indeed. Which is why you won't be going in alone.” he says, addressing you and not Towa. “Which is why you'll need to pick someone to go on this mission with you. Someone to battle against that monster, while you handle the Kai. But be warned, he has fused with another version of himself from another timeline, so he won't be felled easily.”

“I'm in, let's do this.” you reply, ready to put your skill and power to use. And after thinking it over, make your choice. “I'll bring-”

Hey, that starving Toei Supervisor worked hard for the peanuts he was given. And thanks to this hiccup it gave birth to humans becoming completely Saiyan-like in DBOnline and the legendary Super Human as shown with Mr. Satan and Videl in Super. Just like how false super saiyan set the stage for the inevitable partial super saiyan or super saiyan power, the animation hiccup later on further encapsulates it.

Karn is probably the only person equipped and readily available to properly deal with Fused Zamasu.
To elaborate, the last time he was "killed" via conventional methods, he ended up multiplying indefinitely which caused Zeno to the erase the entire universe in that timeline.

I subscribe to the concept that since earthlings, specifically human-types are apes they are so compatible with the monkey-based simians of the Saiyans. And honestly yes Videl would be the most likely, especially if we take microchimerism into account. As well as the immense exposure to Super Saiyan energy during the SSG ritual.

It really isn't given that this is a series where just about anyone can reach the pinnacle of strength and be the strongest if they put in the effort and stay the course. Jiren is a prime example of that. With how often they give other characters a super form to keep up with Super Saiyan, it should be a no-brainer that Earthlings should get their own version. it's all tied to Eastern mythology shit anyway. Unfortunately, marketing and fanfare keep that possibility from happening to humans. If you're not a saiyan, an alien, or a hybrid of either then you don't matter.
>But what about Tien
Racism decided that battle long before any of us was born in the 80s.

Dragon Ball has always had people gain unbelievable bursts of strength in jarring shock to their emotions. It isn't just saiyan exclusion that led to prodigious power, humans especially have this in spades with faculties like hysterical strength, flow states, berserker trance, and adrenaline rush. You could easily factor such a thing as needing a certain state of mind for a spiritual transformation, ki control to break the outer shell limiters, or going the same battle power midichlorians that they had the Saiyans adopt. Hell, I'd settle for needing a conduit like unlocking one's potential a spiritual/magical technique to draw it out.

Had to break this into 3 chunks in order not to get cucked by the word limit and align it with my pic examples. I fell asleep when the conversation was taking place and was debating on whether or not to bring it back once the session for today's game was done. But laziness won in the end.

“-Cell along with me.” you say, the demon raising a brow at you. “His techniques and regeneration will keep that monster busy until at least I've finished that Kai.”
“Interesting choice, I'll bring him in.” Towa says, disappearing. She reappears after a moment, returning with the bio-android. “You've got a mission.”
“A mission for me? And with the esteemed General Karn as well? Hmmmm, interesting.” Cell says, walking forward to you. “And, pray tell, what sort of prey are we hunting?”

“You will be tasked with fighting this monster, stalling it until General Karn has killed Zamasu.” Mechikabura says, again conjuring the image of the two just before disappearing through time. “Then, together, you will destroy it and retrieve the Dark Dragon Ball Zamasu stole from me. Understood?”
“Perfectly.” Cell replies, clenching his fists and ascending into his own Golden form in a flash of light. He then turns to you, smirking slightly. “Well? Are you ready to go?”
“Let's do this.” you reply, flashing up into your Ascended Berserker form as well. “Where did they run to?”

“Zamasu stole this Dark Dragon Ball to try and alter his own past, the fool.” Mechikabura says, the image overhead changing. To where you see a mangled Zamasu fighting a Super Saiyan Blue warrior, his mangled body and power no match for the godly Saiyan. A moment later there's a flash of light, just as he kicks the larger Zamasu away and the creature lunges through the sudden tear in time that appears between them. It flies straight at the warrior, swinging a broad sword down at him. To which the Saiyan responds by creating a golden blade of ki, blocking the attack as he's driven back. “Do not engage the warrior Vegito, or Trunks when he arrives. Focus on the mission, and above all else, retrieve that Dark Dragon Ball. Understood?”

“I won't fail.” you answer, giving the Demon God a Saiyan salute.
“Of course.” Cell replies smoothly. Then with a snap of his fingers, your training suit is replaced with a suit of armor similar to Mira's old gear before the world around you changes. No longer are you inside Towa's Lab, but instead immediately in the ruins of the world you'd witnessed. “Well then, time to get to work.”

And without hesitation Cell blasts off, charging for the man Vegito and the monster. While you turn your focus to the rift, where Zamasu is just now flying through. You're not about to play around, charging forward at full sped while summoning the Stand bound to you around your right fist. The god senses your approach, turning towards you, but he's far too slow. Before he can react you've fully closed the distance, driving your Stand-wrapped fist straight through his chest.

“Wh-What?!” he exclaims, seemingly stunned.
“Divine Dragon Force. Kill him.” you say, the crimson-scaled Stand roaring in response as it surges forward. The draconic Stand grows, wrapping the god's body up with its own before bringing its face to his, staring in his eyes a moment before Divine Dragon Force's flash, and the god begins to disappear. But, instead of killing him, the oddest thing happens. There's a flash of light, and suddenly your Stand isn't wrapped around anything. Instead, there are now two beings, one looking like an adult Kakarot in a dark gi, the other clearly that bastard Zamasu. But why was a god fused with a mortal?

“Impossible!” Zamasu says, sounding horrified. “No one should be able to separate us!”
“We'll leave the how to later!” the pink-haired Kakarot says, the man looking vaguely familiar as he draws a ki blade in his right hand. “But for now, you must die!”

With that the man lunges, swinging the blade down at your neck. You activate your Energy Body, ki hardening as you raise your left. Catching his sword with your energy clad hand. His divine energy cuts through your Energy Body, but your ki slows the blade enough that you don't take anything more than a shallow cut.

“What?!” the man exclaims as you stop his attack short, drawing your right fist back. But as you swing, the green-skinned Kai lunges in between you both. Taking the hit, you see his chest cave in as you knock the two of them back. But as he's sent flying, the two flying back, you watch as the damage you'd done to him heals itself before your very eyes. “Thank you, Zamasu.”
“You're welcome, Zamasu.” the Kai responds to the man, leaving you completely confused. They're BOTH Zamasu? How? “Now, as for you. I don't know where you come from, mortal.”
“But you're going to die here.” the Kakarot-looking Zamasu says, stabbing his blade into his own palm. But whatever he's doing, you're not going to wait around for it. Launching yourself toward him, the Kai Zamasu flies out between you both, arms spread.

“You will have to get through me first!” he says, which works just as well for you. Closing the distance you swing a heavy left square into his face, bone and cartilage crunching beneath your fist. Following it up quickly with a right uppercut to the guts into a spinning back left elbow to the temple. The quick combo sends Zamasu flying, only for this pink-haired man to have created a scythe of his energy. He spins, swinging the blade and sending a blade of energy surging from the weapon out towards you, like your Death Slash or the magical blades fired from your great sword. With only a split-second to react, you raise both arms, hardening your ki even further to try and withstand the attack. But it is too strong, the blade of divine energy slamming into you through your Energy Body.

“GYAAAAAH!!” you scream out in pain as the attack burns through your body, feeling like it cuts through both your arms and then your body as well. And for a moment, you think that you've died. Getting cut through both arms and chest should spell your death. But, looking down, your body is still intact, despite the energy passing through you. Your chest heaves for a second before you recover, raising your gaze back to the divine energy wielding man. “Was. That all you've got?”
“Hmph. Not by half.” he says, then smirks. “Or a fourth?”

Something in his tone sets your instincts off, immediately dropping a couple feet straight down. And not a moment too soon, as ANOTHER of him lunges with the regular Ki Blade pointed out front through the space you'd just been occupying. But your instincts don't stop, you spinning around with a heavy left backfist, knuckles smashing into yet another one of this man. However, as your fist connects, the strangest thing happens. Your punch destroys him, turning the copy of him into pink smoke and blowing it away. But beyond that, you see a tear in space the same sort of color as his energy, except darker and radiating with some strange power.

“What the-?” you mutter to yourself, watching as energy starts emerging from that tear, drawing the cloudy substance down and into yet another one of the copy bodies. At the same time, the smoke cloud of the one you'd backhanded reforms, reshaping into another version of himself. “Really? Relying on such a simple trick won't beat me.”
“Relying on? Oh no, you primitive ape, you don't get it. This is just the warm up.” Zamasu says, his green counterpart reappearing beside himself. And the two start taking their earrings off, you realizing what happened. They used the same earrings that the Time Patrollers do to merge their bodies, and they're planning to fuse again! “Kill him now.”

And with his order all the now nine bodies lunge towards you from all sides, each with an energy blade drawn ready to cut you down. You can't Instant Transmission over to them, as you can't sense their divine energy and he already proved your Energy Body can't wholly tank their cutting blades.

What do you do?
>Drop your Energy Body and Red Dawn, take them, that tear, and both Zamasu out in one massive blast at full power
>Use your Spirit Control Gigantification while charging the Zamasu duo. If you can't negate their attacks with your ki, make them insignificant in scale instead
>Piercing Fist MkII, charge through the clones and aim for that pink-haired Zamasu's chest. If you can end him first, before they can recombine the other will be far easier to handle
>Scatter Beams out around yourself to cut the clones down, then Guided Eye Beams to try and destroy the earrings before they can re-fuse

Beast is a complicated thing. While I do agree that Potential Unleashed and Power Awakened, both are capable of achieving the Ultimate Form and can also evolve said transformation to reach a Super Awakening/Beyond Ultimate state like with Orange Piccolo and Beasthan. The real reason why they made "Beast" universal is that they didn't want to tailor an actual form befitting for the CaC that takes inspiration from both Beast and Orange Piccolo. It's far easier to just copy and paste beast design onto everyone than put in the effort to make a new super awakening/beyond the ultimate state. At least until Xenoverse 3.
>>5684423
I hate how true this is and it's sickening. While I do prefer the mindset that not everyone should be brought back into the limelight and some characters should retire. As with the humans bowing out in the Buu arc. I do think that they could've introduced new characters who are human and could better carry the legacy of the old guard and properly be built up as the challenge Goku is looking for. Especially without the level of dick-riding gifts that say Uub gets. Videl and Marron should've been prime candidates, and Tien or Yamcha should have had a son.

Videl and Piccolo deserved better than what they got during and post-Buu Saga.

“Tch. You think these cheap copies can take me down?” you shout, ending your Energy Body and throwing both arms out, spreading your fingers wide as the swarm of copies rush towards you. But with a moment's focus fire a beam from each fingertip, your Scatter Beams flying out from you in all directions. Your energy flies true, cutting down the duplicates before they even get close. Your beams mistify each of the clones, leaving the two Zamasu exposed. Then, before you can even lower your arms, you focus your ki, firing twin beams from your eyes. But not at the two Zamasu, no. You focus exclusively on the earrings they're trying to put back on, your beams blitzing them. At the last second the one who copied himself with that strange rift seemingly realizes what you're about to do, tearing the earring along with a small chunk of his ear to pull it out of your beam's path. But the other Zamasu, however, isn't as quick, your beam striking true. Piercing directly into the earring, shattering it into countless pieces.

“What?!” Zamasu exclaims, holding the now broken and useless earring in his hand as you try redirecting your beams at the other one. “What have you done?!”
“Tch!” the pink-haired one exclaims, but right as your beams are about to strike again, he simply vanishes! Your instincts scream at you to move, but before you can even end the attack suddenly you lose feeling in your legs as a sharp pain hits your back. Looking down, you see the curved blade of his ki scythe extruding from your guts, and with a violent motion rips the blade out of you. Blood spraying everywhere, you drop straight towards the ground. “Foolish mortal. Die like the dog you are.”

While falling you close your eyes, focusing everything you've got into the damaged area. Specifically your spine, channeling your spirit into the Yardratian Spirit Control skill. You faintly feel your body collapse to the ground, but don't open your eyes as you focus your entire being on the damaged area. You even power back down to your base form, no longer able to keep it going even subconsciously. But after what feels like an hour but could only be maybe half a minute of focus, you again regain feeling in your legs. They feel kinda numb, as if the limbs had fallen asleep, but you can feel them again. Along with the searing pain in your side where he'd torn his weapon through your body, but you're still intact. Which means you can still fight.

“What's this? You didn't kill him?” the green-skinned Zamasu asks as you slowly rise back up to your feet, staggering a step before getting your balance while clutching the injury with your left hand. Gritting your teeth, you force yourself back up into your transformed state, emerald aura blazing as your blood runs down your left side. Bleeding this heavily will put you down in perhaps a minute, maybe two at most. You'll have to end this, quick.

“I know I cut through his spine. This is no ordinary mortal.” the pink-haired Zamasu says, drawing his scythe back for another swing. No doubt to fire another one of those reality-warping slashes he'd hit you with before. But you've stopped them from fusing, which only leaves one question:

How do you finish them off?
>Rush the pink-haired one and attack him with Forced Spirit Fission, break his strength before breaking his body
>Jump up high into the sky, drop your Event Horizon down on the two Zamasu
>Taunt them to attack you before activating your Unmovable Energy Body, then use Divine Dragon Force to kill whoever comes in first
>Leap back as if running away, bait them into chasing before catching them both in your arms for a full-power Grinder
>Draw upon everything you've got charged up in the Soulstone currently, then unleash your most powerful Red Dawn you can manage

No, as it was a one for one swap. If two souls were in one body it could split them, but it can’t split one. It can split divine strength of Zamasu from Goku’s physical strength, at least for a time as it is still unnatural

“You think a little scratch like that'll stop me? I'll show you real power! HRRRAAAAAA!!” you roar, letting your power swell and explode up around you. Then with a stomp kick up off the ground, blitzing the pink-haired warrior god. The green-skinned Zamasu steps between you both, but you have no time for him. Instead of attacking him right out you instead palm his entire head, squeezing down before driving your left fist up into his guts. The force of your blow sends the lesser god flying, soaring high into the air where he can't interfere. But the other god is gone, disappeared. However, you're not falling for that trick again. Instead you channel your spirit properly, twisting and spinning around while swinging your right fist backwards.

“What?” Zamasu says, shocked as his scythe slams into your arm. But, instead of cutting you, instead his blade cracks, then shatters into motes of energy that start drifting upwards. “What mortal trickery is this?”
“Heh. HRRRAAAAAA!!” you roar, swinging a heavy left once more. This time you fire a body hook into Zamasu's liver, the pink-haired god coughing up a small, half-fist sized blob of his pink-colored energy along with a few drops of blood. But you're not done yet, you follow that left with a right uppercut to the jaw, a spinning left elbow to the sternum and into a turning right elbow uppercut to the jaw, snapping his head back and flipping the overconfident god backwards. Leaving his guts wide open for the flying kick square into his guts. “HAAAAAAAA!!”

“Guh!!” the pink-haired god exhales, coughing up yet more blood and energy. Your kick sends him flying, rocketing away from you as suddenly your instincts again warn you of danger. You whirl around at full speed only to see the green-skinned god had tried sneaking up on you, a small energy blade around his straight right hand cocked back over his left shoulder. He sees you turning and tries to swing, but is too slow. You catch his attack, however your Spirit Fission doesn't quite work as well as it should. His divine energy seems far more resistant, his blade cutting slightly into your palm. So instead you simply crush his hand's bones to powder in your grip, the god crying out in pain as you toss him away, then fire a dense ball of ki the size of his own body into him, sending the god and your attack flying back away under the reality tear. Which, now that the god isn't focused on it, is no longer creating fakes. And as he's sent flying, once more your instincts scream out at you that there's danger from behind. Do gods never learn?

“Stupid!” you roar, spinning clockwise into a left turning kick. Your shin strikes the edge of the god's pink blade, your Forced Spirit Fission again destroying his energy and sending the energy skyward.
“How are you doing this?!” he exclaims, trying to block as you turn your momentum into a twisting right heel kick aimed at his nose, breaking it beneath your boot. Divine energy and blood pour from his broken face, the god clutching the injury. Which leaves his guts exposed, you firing a rapid twelve hit uppercut combo to his lower torso before front flipping, dropping a two handed hammer fist down onto his skull. Sending the pink-haired godling crashing down to the ruined street down below. Crashing down atop some sort of vehicle, which explodes from the force of the impact and launches his body back into the air towards you. “D-Dammit!”

You see him wincing in pain, opening his eyes just as you drop down at him. His eyes start to widen just as your hand slams into his face, driving him straight back down into the ground through a several story tall building. You use him like a battering ram, breaking the building against his body before slamming him down into the ground at the bottom floor. You then get atop his body, pressing your knees down into his wrists as his arms are laid by his sides, trapping him.

“HRRAAAAAA!!” you roar, swinging a heavy right straight down into his face. His already broken nose shatters, blood and energy spraying from him as you start relentlessly beating his face into the ground. With each strike you drive him deeper into the ground, it cracking beneath you both as you relentlessly attack. Strike after heavy strike, you beat every ounce of strength from him until his hair reverts to black, taking on the same shape as Bardock, Turles, and Kakarot's.

“H-How...?” he mutters barely conscious before coughing up more blood and energy. “What did you do to me?”
“Die confused.” you say, once more drawing back your right fist for a finishing blow. But before you can, from behind you once more you sense danger. Instead of leaping out of the way, however, you have another idea. Grabbing this godling by the face you flip, rolling him atop you. As you do, you see a ki-clad green hand suddenly pierce through the beaten god's chest, the energy stopping an inch short of your own chest. The god coughs up blood right onto your face before his entire body goes limp, the light leaving his eyes as his heart is cut clean through.

“What? NO, ZAMASU!!” the green-skinned one cries out, voice full of pain and regret as he pulls his hand from the other Zamasu's back. Only one god left to go.

“LOOK AT WHAT YOU HAVE DONE?!” snarls in pain and rage as you stand up, tossing the corpse aside and wiping his blood off your face with the back of your left gauntlet. “HOW DARE YOU KILL ME!”
Wait, what?” you mutter, wondering what the hell is going on. But then you feel your energy sag, the blood loss starting to catch up with you. You have to end this, right now. Or you might lose consciousness before you can heal up to help Cell fight that other monster.
“For what you did to him, I will never rest until you are dead!” he snarls; dark, godly energy swelling up around his body as he glares at you. “I, the undying Zamasu, will make you spend the rest of your life begging for the sweet release of death, filthy mortal!”

“Die.” you say simply, summoning the Stand bound to your right arm as you charge. The weak god draws back his blade to strike, face twisted in fury as tears streak down his face. But before he can swing you've closed the distance, driving your right arm straight through his stomach while catching his right arm by the forearm with your left. With little effort you snap both arm bones, energy blade fading into nothing as Divine Dragon Force wraps around the god. The crimson-scaled Stand binds the god in place, staring into its eyes as it waits for your command. “Finish him.”
“DIE.” Divine Dragon Force says, eyes flashing once more. And this time the godling's eyes widen in shock.

“What?! No, this is impossible! I can't die! I am the immortal Zama-!!” he shouts, body rapidly disappearing as his energy is turned against his body. Within seconds he is erased completely, you sighing out and dropping to a knee as you power down. Closing your eyes as you kneel down, placing your left hand over the still-bleeding hole in your left side, you focus all your energy and spirit on fixing the injury. With all your thoughts on repairing the damage done to yourself, you lose track of time. All that exists is the injury and your spirit, burning through your ki to repair the damage. Despite learning the technique, you haven't mastered it anywhere close to the level Elder Pybara has. Were he to be the one healing you, even an injury like this would be near-effortless. But you feel your own energy plummet significantly as the damage mends by the minute, leaving you panting on the ground.

But you did it, you managed to seal the injury and repair enough of the damage to keep fighting. But right as you're about to push yourself back up to your feet, the demonic seal on the back of your right hand suddenly blazes as your instincts scream out at danger. Without waiting to stand you Ascend, aura blazing for an instant before condensing it down into your Unmovable Energy Body. And not a moment too soon, as the instant your energy is fully hardened a titanic force slams down across your back.

“Dammit!” a familiar voice calls, you hearing the sounds of someone leaping away. Reducing the power in your Energy Body down to its normal level you rise, turning to see that its none other than the boi himself, Trunks. Crimson hair down to his shoulders, he takes a ready stance with that sword of his, looking ready for a fight as his flame-like divine aura blazes up around him. “You're not altering this timeline any further!”
“This again? Look, go bother someone else kid. I have a job to do.” you say, turning your focus from him to your ki sense, trying to get a sense of what Cell's up against. But the moment you do, Trunks lunges at you once more. Looks like you're doing this again.

cont
>>
>>5685047
With a minor effort of will you tap into that demonic power, letting it wash over and through you. Transforming you into the demonic-empowered Supervillain state as Trunks closes the distance. He raises the blade overhead into both hands, swinging it down in a cut that would have bisected you. But with this power you simply raise both of your arms horizontally, tanking the hit on your Energy Body. His divine energy barely penetrates your armor, not even touching you. And without much effort pull your arms apart, overtaxing his sword and snapping in into three pieces. His eyes widen in surprise, but you don't even bother following it up. Instead, focusing once more on Cell, you feel several massive powerlevels all relatively close to him. You sense that monster, of course, but also Future Chaya as well as a few other powers you vaguely remember as other Time Patrollers. Looks like the situation's gotten out of hand.

“Stay out of my way, I have a job to do.” you say to Trunks, and instead of attacking him simply raise your right hand to your forehead. And with a thought teleport directly to Cell's side, crimson aura blazing up around his golden one as he combines that Golden power with the strength multiplier of the Kaio-Ken. But the monster you were EXPECTING to see standing there before Cell isn't the same. In fact, the creature standing there now barely resembles the one you'd seen Zamasu take from another timeline earlier. Its stature is far shorter, body shaped entirely different and with a head antennae between its horns of the same color “Cell, what happened?”

“Ah, Karn. There you are.” Cell says, clutching the stump of his right arm with his left. With a shout he regenerates the limb, his powerlevel dropping by a noticeable chunk. “Let's just say that things have gotten... Complicated.”

Well, at least it can't get much weirder than this. Right?

And that's it for tonight, everyone enjoying the episode so far? Enjoy seeing one of your newest abilities in action, breaking down an arrogant god? Ready to fight this creature, and see what all it can do? And will boi man up, or will he continue to be a little bitch? All this and more, when Saiyan Conqueror Quest continues in 11 1/2 hours at Noon EST!

>will boi ever stop being a little bitch?
lol. lmao, even.

That’s the reaction I was looking for, glad someone appreciated the joke.

What a bitch. Tries to gank us from behind while we're just sitting there doing nothing, recovering from, essentially, a fatal injury, and he still can't manage it.

Why'd you guys try to stop the fusion, it wouldnt've worked. We ddf'd it up

>And will boi man up, or will he continue to be a little bitch?
I know you're joking, but still. He's a courageous young man with conviction in spades...even if he can't really demonstrate that anymore.
That he was inches away from breaking free of his shackles and becoming an ally, maybe even a friend, will never leave my mind.
>>
>>5685054
>And will boi man up, or will he continue to be a little bitch?
Somehow we are in the reality where Cooler becomes less of a bitch than Trunks. Good fucking lord what a twist. Good for Cooler though, has he asked himself what he will do -if- he does manage to beat Karn, though? Or is he autistically laser focused on just winning and nothing else matters?

>>5685091
That makes me think, what if Karn did a whole bunch of practicing on healing and combined it with the MAXIMUM power of going green? Just perpetually regenerating mid fight with an ever escalating amount of energy that needs to be burned off. A terrifying thought. Though I guess the real hiccup is speed of healing, since it isn't quite instant even when a proper master does it, I'm sure.

>>5685264
That's the term I would use for Power Pole Pro. It is the pinnacle of phoning it in halfassery. It's just sitting on the Nimbus with the power pole. Fucking Max Power has more right to call itself a transformation when it's just bulking one up like any powerhouse form. They had so many choices to pick from for what to give humans in xenoverse and chose the most boring option. Actually, it's not even the most boring since they could've just gone with Hi-tension or made bootleg super saiyan from DBO. It's worse.

Namekians also got screwed over since they could've easily expanded on the Red-Eyed state introduced in DBO and actually converted it into an actual transformation. They could've saved using Golden Piccolo if it was used to turn their skin red and not just the eyes.
>>
>>5685054
The Boi? Will he ever realise he's the badguy(tm), and live to do something about it? Never.

>>
>>5685144
I forgot to comment on any of your posts, but they were all pretty well thought out concerning transformations and how they might work. It's been a long time coming but since they gave Piccolo a form you could make it up for humans too based on the "power awakening" thing. But while I'm all for bridging the gap between the hummies and the monkies with more hair dye, I'd prefer something more unique to each Z-Fighter.
I dont have anything about transformations I thought too hard about, but Tien should be able to tap into his cyclopiean heritage, Yamcha could attain something that is true to his wolf-like fighting style, and Krillin already had something with his No Ego Zone but he just dropped it because lol the cat and blue hair show
>>
>>5685359
I think "Enlightenment" as a general Human transformation could be cool. Accessing it could be tied to achieving a certain neurochemical balance through strenuous exercise and meditation, something that would distinguish from Super Saiyan somewhat.
I also like the idea of such a transformation being more of an overall boost rather than just upping combat capabilities (as humans are generalists in most cases, not combat specialists).

Jiren's absolute strength is something only someone dedicated wholly to the cause could ever reach. Even Tien, despite his boulders of shoulders will never reach as he still has Chaiotzu. If he lost the little guy forever, then he might be pushed over that emotional edge into something Further Beyond.
>>5684702
Magical could be a route. After all, look at Fortuneteller Baba. She's able to bring devils from the demon realm and even the dead back through the barrier into the living world.
>>5684714
>he thinks Xenoverse 3 is happening
Lol. Lmao even. That's not happening while people are still paying for horse armor for Xenoverse 2.
Buu saga VIdel was fine, her getting rocked by Spopovich could have been the catalyst for her to continue training, to seek higher power after the arc's conclusion. But instead Toriyama doesn't like writing strong women so gave her the Chichi treatment.
>>5685364
This is more the direction I think of with humans, they aren't anything special in and of themselves. But having a transformation being a more support power, something to enhance OTHERS, could be quite special. After all, that was the message of Roshi and Piccolo during Goku vs Jiren, they help each other get stronger. Something akin to a Battle Meditation, but in Dragon Ball.

You and Cell stare the monster down when suddenly it throws its head back and starts howling to the sky.

“HOOOOOOOO!!” the creature roars, dark energy blazing up around it. You and Cell brace yourselves as the shock wave from him powering up crashes into you like a physical wave, pushing both you and Cell back away from it.
“Tch!” you exhale, your feet digging twin trenches through the road beneath your feet as the creature's power continues rising higher and higher. “What the hell? How strong IS this thing?”
“It took my arm off with a single swing, through my Energy Body.” Cell warns, you feel a hint of worry as the creature quits howling, looking back down towards the two of you with a wicked grin, head sideways as it radiates with malice.
“Any techniques to be worried of?” you ask, taking your fighting stance. Cell does the same, bracing one hand behind the other out in front of himself.
“If it shoots pink lightning from that center antenna on its head, dodge it. No matter what you have to do.” Cell advises, blazing his own aura up. “Now, how do you want to do this?”

Well?

I know it's a gag, but each gag has some truth in it. And with how Toriyama plays loose and fast with his setting and its lore, it's not impossible. Also, Toei is feeding into that possibly because of more money. Even Dragon Quest has a super Saiyan-like callback through Super High-Tension. So there's that to consider.

>
Yes she has the potential, but all that potential meant shit if she never gets to enact it. Maybe if the humans stayed retired and Toriyama committed to Gohan being the MC he might have been motivated to make Videl a proper fighter and use the Spopovich experience as a key motivation for a major breakthrough. I find it highly ironic that Toriyama loves writing about strong-willed, fiery women but can never bring himself to make them into fighters. Lazuli is a firecracker dragon that's a stroke of luck and happenstance. Yet even that was a one-time lightning in a bottle considering how often she gets benched.
>>
>>5685371
I'm aware of Jiren but it's still a possibility and the only GOOD he did for the series by existing. Further proving the point that there are no racial caps or nonsensical limits to one's strength and potential. Motivation is key. Honestly, Chaozu dying permanently would be the most impactful thing he could do for the story and Tien's character and that's pretty god damn sad.

>
Hey, Budokai Tenkaichi 4 happened despite having no reason to and all the obstacles against it. The stars will align again for Xenoverse 3, regardless if I believe it or not. Personally, I rather have DBO brought back from the grave as a proper RPG CaC series, idc if it's MMO or not. It has way too much potential and utilization to let it be taken apart and spread throughout the different game franchises and side material.

“If its that powerful, this monster needs to die, now.” you say, clenching your right fist and summoning forth Divine Dragon Force once more. “Keep the boy or anyone else from sneaking up on me so Divine Dragon Force will end this in one hit.”
“Be careful, he's faster than I am.” Cell warns, his gold and crimson aura contrasting with your dark-infused glow. “But I won't let anyone stop you.”
“Thanks. I knew bringing you with me was the right call.” you say, flaring your aura as you power your Supervillain form up to its maximum before addressing the Stand around your fist. “You ready?”

“Let's do this.” Divine Dragon Force responds, roaring alongside you as you charge forward. “GRRROOOAAAAAR!”
“HRRRRAAAAA!!” you bellow, shattering the earth as you explode forward towards the monster. Whose grin widens, vanishing. Only to reappear right before you, slamming its left fist square into your face before you can react. “GAAAAH!”
“Karn!” Cell shouts as you're sent flying past him, flipping backwards and landing on all fours, carving trenches with your appendages as you slide to a stop. But as you do, the monster stops several feet short, slamming a foot into the ground. You can feel the attack coming, but aren't ready as his foot emerges from the ground beneath you, kicking up square into your jaw. “Be careful! It's a Majin now!”

“Tch! Now you tell me!” you mutter, flipping backwards and landing on your feet. Just as the monster draws its foot back, kicking back into the ground again. Knowing what's coming you dash forwards, hoping you timed it right. And as the monster's boot emerges from the ground, you raise your right and stomp down. Not stopping the kick, but instead use the monster's foot as a springboard to launch yourself towards the monster at even higher speed. “GRRRRAAAAAA!!”
“SHYAAAAAAA!!” the monster shouts, drawing its own foot back and kicking off the ground at you as well. You draw your right back, readying a swing but the monster is too fast, closing the distance and thrusting its sword straight into your guts. “Geeheeheehee-Hooo?”

“Gotcha.” you say with a smirk, grabbing the weapon with your left to keep the monster from tearing your guts apart with the weapon. Then follow up immediately with a heavy right uppercut to its guts, Divine Dragon Force tearing straight through its middle.
“GRRRRROOOOAAAAR!” the crimson-scaled stand bellows, its body growing as it wraps the Majin's body in its own, bringing its face level to the creature's. “PERISH.”

The Stand's eyes flash, the Majin's eyes widening in surprise as it no doubt feels death coming. It looks down, watching as its body starts vanishing and panics.

“GAAAAOOOH!” it shouts, releasing the sword as it turns its body more liquid, flowing up and out of Divine Dragon Force's grip, splashing down outside your reach before reforming its body. But the hole continues growing, you tearing the weapon free of your body and throwing it to the ground as the monster starts to... steam? Jets of hot air blow out from its head and arm holes, somehow veins bulging as it looks down. And, for a single moment, the destruction of its body actually stops. But then the steam slows down, the monster unable to keep the destruction of its form at bay.

“Guuuh! Gyaaah?!” it shouts, tearing an arm off and throwing it aside. You watch in shock as it starts forming a second body, but to your shock that one ALSO has the same hole in its core. And it keeps growing, now both are disappearing. The two look at each other disappearing, then try merging back together. But the creature's body continues to vanish, its torso disappearing to the point the Dark Dragon Ball dropping out of its body and to the ground. You can feel the monster's power plummet, its strength fading without the power of the orb infused into its being. You feel its power fading as the rest of it is quickly destroyed, even the sword by your feet disappearing as the monster's power completely vanishes. You did it.

“Whew.” you sigh out, powering back down as you start walking over to the Dark Dragon Ball. But before you can reach down and grab it, suddenly the ball flies up off the ground. And you follow it, only to see it land in the gloved hand of the boy.
“I can't let you take this back to Mechikabura.” he says, frowning as his divine aura blazes. “He can't be allowed to regain his youth and true power, no matter what.”
“Trunks.” you say through gritted teeth, feeling your rage blooming once more.

But what do you do?

I agree, enlightenment and other avenues of flow state really fit humans as a whole. They were on making something really great with No Ego Zone but threw it away because of Toriyama was a colossal baby and wanted the humans to be the first to get eliminated. Or some asinine behind-the-scenes excuse.

I think them having spiritual transformations/state of mind while boosting their overall capabilities, and opening the window for secondary effects or abilities instead of being a flat multiplier that plagues this series to hell and back.

Even hysterical strength shouldn't be dictated by that since it always fluctuates and would kill the coolness of things like high tension or doping if it was just quantified to that of say super saiyan.

Thank you and it's fine. I too would like for some originality between the Z-Fighters. It's why while I agree that the humans and Piccolo should have learned Kaioken, I also think that just giving them the technique without properly accompanying their style and thus changing it up to better fit them is tremendously boring. We should be seeing actual variants rather than a copy-and-paste like with super saiyan.

Shin Kikoho for one was a really good example of this, but I think that it should've been applied to the Four Witches as well. Just imagine a six-armed Asura or a Senju of a hundred or even thousand-arm-themed transformation born from the technique. Or how about Krillin taking full shaolin buddism to their logical conclusion like omi from xiaolin showdown with his glowing dots and mysticism with spiritual projections. Or Yamcha unleashing the beast through his wolf totoem long before cringe like Gohan beast coming into play.

As for the hair dye, I really want to defend Saiyan God since it was a subversion to all the wacky, over the top transformations. But unlike Ultimate, it was ACTUALLY putting a real modicum of effort being valid and aesthetically pleasing. And its suppose to have disappeared completely as it was a foothold to boosting the base and elevating the Super Saiyan forms. Until it was brought back cause they fucked up Blue to the point that they needed it to come back for marketing based and differate from normal saiyan fighting with its graceful techniques and superior finesse as shown with the godly abilities such as god-bind and healing.

Blue could've been so much more if they actually think things through. But this series never does that so its like crying at the moon at this point.

Would foreshadow orange piccolo way better than just looking at past animation scenes from the anime and going AYO Toei planned this from the start with the color tints of the nameless namekian (he's Katas Jr to me and nobody can tell me otherwise) or when Piccolo went super namekian against Frieza and 17. Hell, it would make Golden/Lime Piccolo also easier to explain and accept since we already know that they could change skin colors for transformations.

“Dammit boy, I don't have time do deal with your bullshit today!” you snarl, letting your fury surge. With your darker emotions running rampant you focus, throwing out your telekinesis and grabbing the dark orb in his hand. Then with a ripping motion tear the orb from his hand, pulling it to your hand.
“What?!” Trunks exclaims, shocked at the orb smacks your palm. “How-?”
“Towa, I need an out.” you think out to her, glaring at Trunks before addressing him. “Stop getting in my way, I even tried to spare your worthless life today. But if you come at me again, I'll kill you.”

And at that moment you feel a hand on your shoulder, Trunks glaring at Towa.

“Don't make fun of me!” he shouts, divine aura blazing as he charges. But as you see him coming, Towa points her staff at him, firing a bolt of dark lightning-shaped energy at his face. Forcing him to leap aside, dodging the blast. You raise your other hand, ki charged into your left fingertips to fire a Scatterbeam at him to take him down, but right as you're about to fire everything shifts. You're suddenly back in Towa's lab, you ending the attack before accidentally firing the beams through one of her walls.

“Thanks for the save.” you say to her, sighing out and slumping back against her. Closing your eyes, you focus again on your healing, only for a familiar voice to call out before you can start.
“Daddy, I'm here!” Caulifla shouts, you opening your eyes and see your daughter kneeling beside you, holding her chime while Triumph Requiem stands behind her. “Are you okay?”
“Thanks kiddo.” you tell her, Towa magicking the armor off of you to expose your injuries. Where she frowns, looking at the newly-formed scars on your lower abdomen.
“What happened?” she asks, looking up to your face. “Did you have to heal yourself?”
“Yeah, that pink-haired Zamasu got me.” you say to her, pointing at the scarring that is right in the middle. “He got my spine, I had to fix myself up so I could keep fighting.”

“And fight excellently you did.” Mechikabura says, appearing before you along with Future Chaya, Ace, Fu, and Dumplin. “Three gods killed in a matter of minutes, quite impressive.”
“Wait, three?” you ask, confused.
“Indeed. The monster Majin Buu absorbed Dabura, one who I'd empowered with Demon God power before he absorbed that Janemba as well.” he says, you feeling your eyes widening in surprise. With that power, the Dark Drago n Ball was able to even further empower him. Yet you dispatched such a being, overcoming that vast disparity between you with ease. The Dark Dragon Ball, please.”

You raise your right hand, holding the orb out to him. It drifts out of your hand, over to his own, the Demon God taking it with his free hand and grinning.

“You are quite the talented warrior, Karn. I look forward to seeing just how strong you become, once you've mastered that next level of power.” he says, tapping his staff and creating a dark portal behind him. He turns to leave, then stops, turning back to you. “Ah, I almost forgot. One more thing. I'm not sure if I've actually ASKED you yet. When the time comes for the assault on Conton City, will you join me? Your power could make the difference between that operation's success and failure.”

Well? How do you respond?

“Of course. I can't wait to get revenge on those bastards.” you say confidently as Caulifla heals the stab wound the creature gave you, as well as the rest of the damage you hadn't fully healed from your injury earlier. “For all the trouble they've caused me and my family.”
“I like the enthusiasm, General Karn. But you've still got a ways to go, until you're ready for that.” he says with a seemingly-genuine smile. “Master that power you plan to face Lord Beerus with, then we'll talk about this again. Until then.”

And without another word he leaves, portal closing behind himself and his group. The rest of the visit passes without incident, you and everyone returning to your own timeline. Time continues marching ever-onward, you spending time with your family at your home, training them up as well as your students. You also visit regularly with your son back on Planet Yardrat, his family always happy to see you. Especially your granddaughter, who always leaps directly at your chest. But four months into the year, after finishing training with your students for the day, suddenly you feel a massive surge of power. Or, rather, two surges of immense power.

“What the-?” you mutter, turning towards the familiar energies surging higher and higher than anything you've ever felt from them. You and Meloka trade a glance, you then raising your right hand to your forehead as she rushes over, you teleporting just as she touches you. Leaving the training area behind, you reappear right beside King Vegeta, already in his primal form as he stands across from two warriors. Each with pale fur and hair, crimson glowing eyes, and menacing, wolfish grins on their faces. “Well well, look at you. Looks like the two of you finally managed to pull it off.”

“Karn.” Leyas says, you seeing his muscles tense as he takes his fighting stance. “I've been waiting for this day.”
“I've spent more than a decade trying to surpass you once again, and today's finally the day!” Sarada declares, taking her stance as well. You power up into your Ascended Berserker form, dropping down into your own fighting stance as you stare down your longtime friends in their new, strongest forms. They resemble your half-demon son Maza, except for their more Saiyan colored skin tones as lightning crackles around them. Yet you don't feel worried, or afraid, or cautious of having to hold back this time. You've also been waiting for the day you could spar with your friends at full power as well, just like when you were kids. And as you three blast off the ground at each other, you can't help but to let out a laugh, charging forward to see the true depths of your friends' newfound strength. This is going to be fun!

That thousand arms stuff sounds interesting, I'll read up on that sometime. And as for Tien's techniques, they had something with him focusing his efforts to have the most versatile set of skills as opposed to having the strongest power. I can't see much of a way for humans to ever bridge the god gap, but you don't need to be the strongest to atleast do something.

I actually think Super Saiyan God is a pleasant and refreshing transformation, it does its presentation very well. Sleek, eye-catching and graceful with special techniques attributed to it too. But then it got undermined by Super Saiyan Blue, and ho-ly FUCK, I hate it. Its stupid look, its stupid application, its stupid unoriginal drawbacks, and ESPECIALLY its stupid fucking name. Its just Super Saiyan but Wow!! it's Blue!! Could you imagine if they called Beserker Super Saiyan "Super Saiyan Green"? Fucking smurf colored piece of shit, it'd be a massive improvement if they retconned the Super Saiyan God transformation to just be called Saiyan God and called the pronoun form Super Saiyan God, instead of that awful mouthful they went with back when SSJB RoF was new. Speaking of, Toei blew its load YEARS too early with that nonsense. You can tell because even after all the time between RoF and ToP, they still had "but muh stamina drain" and had to go BACK to SSJG. Had Goku and Vegeta still been on SSJG level, Frieza's Golden Form would've added to the tension, make the threat believable, and then be more hype when Vegeta rocks up with SSJG despite not doing the ritual. I strongly believe blue needed more fanfare akin to the Super Broly Movie and be revealed later in the arcs of Super, either during 6v7 or the Goku Black Saga. That, and not having a shitty ass name would help.
>>
>>5685636
>I can't see much of a way for humans to ever bridge the god gap
Being a God can't be that good if you can still get slammed into a rice cooker like some paultry malevolent spirit.
>>
>>5685611
Lol. It's fitting that you use AF's SS5 but it's still funny.
>>
>>5685611
Ayyyyye, THAT'S OUR SQUAD, THEY CAN DO IT!
>>
>>5685636
Blue could've been saved if they had held off from using the form until either the Universe 6 tournament or the Goku Black arc. Giving it a good progression tree with one or two more arcs afterward but before the ToP as it starts hinting at the ultra forms. I could understand conceptually its existence if it was a true trying to return to the SSG state but don't have the ritual to do it so they have to improvise with using SS as a conduit and medium for it. But holy shit they ruined whatever cool factor they had with their god-awful color pallet and naming sense. It doesn't help that it has the worse track record since Super Saiyan 3. It doesn't feel powerful, it doesn't flow fluidly or command divine reverence, unlike Super Saiyan God. It's a lazily done cash grab just like Golden Frieza.

Imagine if Blue held the same quality and care that Rose has.
>>
>>5685635
That form is something else. They've had to work a lot harder than Broly or Vegeta to control it, but now they finally have.
>>5685636
SSG was the best form in Super, until UI Omen. Still the most crisp and hype form ever.
>>5685637
Bingo, technique should be emphasized over simple raw power. Like Roshi vs DKP, he couldn't beat that monster but still had a winning strategy. Just unfortunate that he failed.
>>5685638
Temporary fill-in artwork until I get another excellent piece from a talented artist. Just like the Primal Demon Maza art way back when he first achieved that form, and I could only use the XV2 Mira images.
>>5685644
They've both been busting their asses for YEARS to reach this point.
>>
>>5685646
>Imagine if Blue held the same quality and care that Rose has.
I have to address this one directly. Rose had no care, it was never even really explained in 'canon'. Just like Trunks' SSRage form.
>>
>>5685646
Agreed with that, they never really explain how it works either. As far as I can tell, SSB is achieved when you go SSG and then try to go Super Saiyan on top of it, similar to how SS4 is achieved when you successfully combine the Oozaru power with the Super Saiyan power. Blue just simply doesn't command the same presence, which is a bitter disappointment.
>>5685648
>SSG was the best form in Super, until UI Omen. Still the most crisp and hype form ever.
>Omen
Finally, a man of taste. I never did like how they bleached Goku's hair with the complete form, the first iteration felt much more mystical and ethereal.
>>5685666
They do need to get better with making shit up. I've heard that SSR is going Super Saiyan with divine ki, but if thats the case then it should be blue, not pink. Unless its divine "evil" energy, but then that makes even less sense

>>5685703

>>
>>5685685
It could have been good. But being toed to the worst db movie ever really dragged it down.
Omen was the best. And I don’t get why people shit on toyo for that one, pushing that form back into the light was the best decision he made all granolah arc.
The headcanon is its a god who gains Super Saiyan ki, the inverse of a mortal who gains god ki.
>>5685703
I don’t want Zamasu even LOOKING at the kids. But well.
>>5685708
We’ll see more of the royal line next week
>>
>>5685666
I mean the manga explained it better, but the connotations were there as clear as day even in the anime. It's a divine form born with someone who got true, purified concentrated God Ki rather than the God Ki mortals have to cultivate. But I meant it more in its execution and display. It didn't job for one and always commanded an aura of respect and menace. It's color palette was shockingly good with its enriching texture and flare.
>>
>>5685685
That's basically what it is, though the anime made better foreshadowing of what the movie implied at the cost of giving us a dogshit retelling arc. But you are right that Blue is such an underselling, depressive mess. It became a goddamn meme with how much it jobs and gets used against pretty much everyone thanks to "perfect ki control". IDC is what you're trying to set up but you never need SSB against any of the Z fighters, especially Krillin.

>>5685685
Gods have a higher, more innate god ki than mortals who are aping them. I do agree that they should've explained god ki more so it'd be easier to understand the difference between blue and rose, but what can you do? Even when explaining ki Toriyama didn't really put any real thought into it.

I am also a firm believer that Omen is vastly superior to MUI. The latter is just silver-haired SSG and with how things are progressing in the manga, I wouldn't be fucking surprised if the next evolution of UI has Goku gain the SS hair in MUI as his own form of UI. Honestly, we wouldn't be in this predicament if Toyo never had Goku achieve MUI at will and just learned to command Omen and the regular technique into his forms. Would've preserved the dignity of UI while still giving Goku something to strive for. It should be a rarely used trump card just like Fusion. Something that even heroes manage to understand perfectly.

Also, I subscribe to the prospect that Ikari and False Super Saiyan are cooler than the majority of SS forms, just like Kaioken.
>>
>>5685726
That’s only because Black was allowed to villain it up, actually murdering people which was a tonal shift back to a more Android-saga era style.
>>5685727
The problem with blue isn’t that it never won, as Goku never beat a single main villain/antagonist after Freeza even with new forms along the way. The problem is it never felt earned, SSG never had time to really cook before it was replaced. Which worked for God, making it a beloved form because it was so rare and wasn’t overused. Basically fucked off after BoG until the ToP, literal irl years. Blue was the ‘final’ Saiyan form from Res F up until the ToP, and never won a real, deserved victory in all that time.
Its ki, but godly. Not really more to explain on his end, he’s not there to explain how divinity works. Just make his $ and get out.
>>5685728
Well the main difference visually in SSG/MUI is that Goku doesn’t lose muscle mass, but that physical trait was properly abandoned in the ToP/Broly movie anyways. Sadly.
>>
>>5685802
Whether or not Blue "won" doesn't seem near as important as it's origins.
Those origins being a bunch of cowards too scared to move away from the hair-dye transformation line for good.

Yeah sure, he might be able to "counter" DDF in the future. That doesn't stop us from slicing him apart, vaporizing his body, ventilating his chest and head, snapping his neck with telekinesis, smashing him with our gravity hammer, or just straight up beating him to death.

It never winning was a secondary reason, reread what I said. Resurrection F except SSG instead of SSB would have played out the same, but then SSG wouldn’t be nearly as popular as it still is.

Not having DDF would be a real kick in the nuts, but it's just a sword and unless trunks get a whole hell of a lot better and faster I think we body him in just our sword play. Not even counting everything else.

How far has he even gotten down the Karn Time quest line? Maybe he should just use the dragon balls for something like "I wish I understood the best way to train, or something similar"
>>
>>5686201
This is assuming he survives long enough to do whatever he's planning on doing in the first place.
Don't forget that Meloka and Chilli are definitely coming along for the ride, so whether or they end up killing him first is up for debate.
>>
>>5686201
More like
>"Hey Karn, I'm really stupid and about to imply this weapon will let me disable your stand now come fight me"
>meloka dives in from the side and disembowels him while he pretends talking is a free action
If he does get something that'll let him take care of the one thing everyone seems to be relying on, Mechi is going to have someone else distract him so he can't use it. Because Mechi is smarter than the average bear. And he's played this game before. Though so has the midget of time.
>>
>>5686284
I think it might be going entirely according to plan to have Karn face their ultimate weapon and STILL come out on top. Imagine if such a thing were broadcasted at wide, all timelines witnessing the breaking of the loftiest gods? Imagine what such a thing would do to those gods powers. Apostasy would be at an all time high.
Speaking of apostasy, I have to wonder if Karn’s anti-god energy is fueled JUST by himself, or if it can gain extra oomph from the total sum of disbelief. It’d be a funny corruption on the way gods work if the latter.
>>
>>5686138
>specific (potentially broken) sword

Makes me think of stando-sword Anubis. Usable by anyone, and the fucker kept working after it got broken, too.
>>
>>5686305
I think he just means the Key Sword, but even that won't be enough to save him or Chronoa. Not this time.
>>
>>5686302
Sure but Mechi doesn't care about that. He doesn't need anti-god sentiment, he just wants to supplant the midget. And having people hate the gods doesn't really matter when the god in question is absolutely beyond their ability to interfere with. It's like asking a single molecule of water to stop the entire pacific ocean. Control over time does that to a mf. Also since her power doesn't come from belief. It's from, I dunno, the bird or something. She's outside of the normal divine hierarchy.
>>
>>5686389
The time patrol is the single largest employer of Gods that actually interfere with the time breakers. They have quite a few at their beck and call.
Break the minions and their power, and it doesn’t matter if the boss is not affected. It’s called stacking the deck in your team’s favor.
And it never hurts to make the multiverse truly believe that the gods can’t win this one.
>>
>>5686394
Man I have a whole huge argument for why it wouldn't matter but I can't be fucked. I'll just say I disagree that it's worth doing. Fuck all the nonsense and just kill -her-, not play with her toys.

Having mortals upend the entire system would be detrimental to him, as he wants to rule atop it. Not recreate a whole system.

I have to correct this one. As yes, her power IS derived of belief. But not in the “I believe X deity rules -thing- and not Y deity.” sort of way. Hers is more of the, “I believe Time is real and tangible concept of reality,” type of belief.
>>5686394
Disrupting the divine order to such an extent would create problems he doesn’t want to deal with. Especially with the flow of space and time breaking down. >>
>>5686931
I can see how he would reach that conclusion.
Intergalactic warrior first kills off the would-be slayer of superman, displaying a power somehow capable of completey annihilating even an adaptive regenerative being. Could possibly even infer how it worked, by turning Doomsday’s energy against him. Reports that his true purpose is to reunite Superman with another kryptonian. His kids are strangely present for this, with many spared from death by what would probably be considered a valkyrie by the nords. It’s silence for a bit after that, but he turns up again with a new child in tow with clear ties to an obscure god of death as noted by the regalia in hand. Also happens to show up out of nowhere, with Nabu having been slain in the blink of an eye. Flash is acting suspicious and withdrawn, better interrogate him to see what he knows about what went down.
Multiple hypothesis currently. Attempting to establish new gods in replacement of old? Committing deicide at one god’s behest? Trying to change the outcome of a predetermined fate, as ecident by his interest in a near extinct species? Too unclear at the moment. An investigation is needed. Now the question is how to find the skeletons in the closet of a man that lives millions of lightyears away…
>>
Quick question for powerlevelfags: With how insanely ass-busted Stands are, could it be theoretically possible that Karn, or more specifically Divine Dragon Force, would be able to kill even gag-tier powerhouses like Arale, Saitama, Popeye, and so on?
>>
>>5687098
>Saitama
Unlikely but still pretty possible
>Arale, Popeye
Cartoons are a whole 'nother level, Popeye survived God turning the universe off. And God forbid he gets his spinach...
Karn has no chance in Hell.
>>
>>5687098
Popeye would absolutely humiliate Karn in a fight.
>>
>>5686989
You’re missing a few details he noticed, but most certainly on the right track. Another key point is he brought his daughters who heal others and fixed the damage from the Doomsday battle when he showed up to help, but brought his death-wielding wizard son to fight a god. At least according to what he learned from Flash and Martian Manhunter.
>>5687098
>Arale
No, she’s a robot with no energy.
>Saitama
Theoretically
>Popeye
Hahahahahahahahahaa!
>>
>>5687164
My bet is that right now he’s seeing how far the Nabu rabbit hole goes.
And that the Lords of Order do not approve.
>>
>>5687168
He’s gone down several rabbit holes. As well as a couple badger holes, and a mole hole.
>>
>>5687209
And now we're finally at the worm hole. But even I would admit that a worm being the head of state for a tyrannical religious oligarchy is a little strange.
>>
>>5687098
>Popeye
Only if you punch the spinach before he eats it
>>
>>5687332
Ha, but no. He doesn’t know about the worms. Or their fates at Karn’s hands.
>>5687355
Its a good thing he’s not in the SCQ universe. As far as I’m aware anyways.
>>
>>5687381
It's only a matter of time. Not even the green lanterns have enough willpower to keep their lips tight when it comes to The Question.
Damn, I kind of want to see some intermissions about his investigations now...
>>
>>5687409
We will see more of him, at some point.

This intermission is so good, Tanya's actively weakening the gods across the universe with every word she's saying on Chaya's stream. Except, of course, herself and Chaya.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 198 Intermission-

AGE 756, DREADZONE STATION

“Wait, really? Are you serious?” you ask the smaller blonde woman, who is sitting relaxed in her seat. “Just like that?”
“Just like that.” she replies, nodding once to you solemnly as you sit atop a stack of weights for your bar. “As of today, I am officially retiring as a Dreadzone gladiator.”

You feel your jaw drop, the text chat in your scouter going wild at the news after a second of silence. Everyone starts replying at once, chat moving so fast that you can't even see the different names, everyone expressing their shock as Tanya officially retires live on your stream. You are Chaya, the former and current Champion of Dreadzone. And you're here at the champion suite at Dreadzone Station doing your daily evening stream, but instead of a training stream, reviewing and evaluating others' performances, or something else; instead you'd been asked privately by Tanya if she could come on to talk directly with you after everything that's happened. Which you of course had accepted, expecting her to announce her challenge, that she would do as you had and climb the ranks again to take you on. Not... This.

“What?! What do you mean, you're retiring?” you ask her, feeling stunned. “I thought you were coming on to talk your game, to tell me you were coming for my belt. What do you mean, you quit?”
“Oh, don't look so upset.” Tanya says to you, a small smirk on her face. No doubt having anticipated your reaction and enjoying it. “It's actually quite simple, Chaya: I wasn't being true to myself.”
“True to yourself? What do you mean?” you ask her, not understanding what she means. You also try looking to your chat, but they're still moving far too fast for you to even read a username, much less their reply.
“I had put faith in a god, something I had sworn that I would never do.” she tells you, seemingly honest as she sighs out. “And it nearly cost me everything.”
“What?” you ask her, not knowing what she means. But feeling quite curious about this. “What god did you put that faith in?”

“Well, since I lost anyways, it doesn't hurt my career to come clean now.” she says to you, then turns to face the camera directly. “During our fight, I wasn't fighting alone under my own acquired power. I had outside help.”

She pauses there for a bit of dramatic effect, confirming your suspicions. That WAS another being's power you'd felt from her, something that wasn't her or whichever deity that 'Being X' she'd complain about empowering her. And as she maintains eye contact with the camera lens, you get the feeling that she was already aware of your suspicions.

“Indeed, when you first bested the Red Knight, I knew that I couldn't defeat you in a one-on-one fight. Not head on, no matter how strong my magic got.” Tanya continues, turning from the camera back to you. “So, I cheated. I used my divine powers to search out others, other deities who may be sympathetic to my cause. But wouldn't you know it, I found one with a vicious grudge against your family.”
“A god with a grudge against my family?” you ask, then can't help but smile. “Do you know how little that narrows it down?”

“HA! No, most of the gods are cowards. Afraid of your father's power that he showed off last year.” she says, giving a carnivorous grin at probably the expression on your face. “Oh yes, they all felt what he did during your niece's first birthday. But one god in particular hates your father, him and your brother both with a burning passion. Or, rather, hated. As I learned your brother killed him on the first day of this current year.”
“Oh, you mean that golden helmet-hiding coward Nabu?” you ask, then realize what she said. “Wait, he tried to help you beat me? Was he trying to kill me too, like he tried having my brother and father assassinated by that fat bastard Lobo?”

“Indeed. He was the one to lend me a part of the power of Order, his domain.” Tanya explains to you. “With it, I was able to dictate how, in that space only I was able to receive the power of worship. That is how I was able to cut you off from your own divine form, at least partially.”
“Oh, I see. That wasn't your power, but his.” you say, feeling a little disappointed. “And here I was hoping you'd be able to help us out if another god started trying anything with my family.”
“Unfortunately not, that was a one-time spell I can't duplicate on my own.” Tanya tells you, trying to control her tone but still sounding a bit bitter about it before controlling her voice and again facing the camera. “I wasn't able to keep any of that power, once the battle was over. And now that Nabu's dead, I don't think anyone else can copy it either.”

“Well, I wouldn't say THAT.” you say with a sly look, Tanya's head whipping around towards you in immediate panicked concern. “I know somebody who has started working on something like that a few months back. But then he got busy with other stuff, what with his wife getting pregnant and all.”
“Your brother is working on an anti-god technique like that?” Tanya asks, you only grinning and not replying. That is, until one of the paid messages comes through your stream, the text-to-speech playing through the speaker.

“I can't believe you. Went through all that effort to cheat and still lost.” the artificial voice says, to Tanya's obvious displeasure but you can't help but smile. “L M A O get rekt nerd! Lolololololololol.”
“Haha, hey, don't be so hard on her. Everyone can do things they later regret when fearing for their lives.” you gently scold chat, making sure to thank the individual donating by name before turning back to Tanya. “But with that alert getting through, we've hit the time when my audience can submit audible submissions. Do you want to stick around and maybe answer some of them? Or do you have to go?”

“Unfortunately, I have to go. But it was good to talk, Chaya.” Tanya says, rising to her feet. You stand up too, feeling.... Conflicted. On the one hand, you're still angry at her for her betrayal and now for getting your hopes up for another rematch, but on the other hand, the two of you had been friends for years. Almost since you'd started really competing at Dreadzone the two of you had been hanging around each other, and you had once called her a friend.

“Is this really it? You're just leaving?” you ask her, frowning as you stand up as well. To which she actually laughs. “What?”
“Just because I'm no longer competing doesn't mean I'm leaving the whole organization. There are more positions here than just being a gladiator.” Tanya answers, a real, genuine smile on her face. “I'm just retiring from the arena, from fighting. I'll still be around. But for now I'm going to be settling into my new primary role as the Chief Combat Analyst and Lead Event Designer. So, you'll not be getting rid of me so easily. Next season, these courses are going to be even more difficult, just for you.”

“Oh, just for me? Well then, I feel honored.” you reply, the two of you grinning at each other before you offer her your hand. “Well then, I'll be looking forward to it. And whenever you want to come back on, just let me know.”
“I will.” Tanya replies after a moment, the two of you shaking hands a moment. She then lets go, Tanya turning to the door and walking to it. But before she reaches it, another voice message plays.
“Before you go Tanya, just one question: are you excited to watch Deese's performance tomorrow?” the text-to-speech asks, you turning away and making it look like you're adjusting your scouter so the grin on your face doesn't give it away.
“Deese? I'm not familiar with a competitor named Deese.” she responds seriously, you covering your mouth but can't wholly suppress your laugh. You feel her eyes on you suddenly, choking back your laughter and trying to hold it in for the punchline.

“Deez nuts! Lolololololololololololol!” the robotic voice continues, throwing your head back and nearly falling off your stack of plates as you're no longer able to keep suppressing your laughter. You can feel Tanya's helpless frustration as she sighs out, not saying anything and simply leaving without another word.
“Hey GoldenHairAbFan4042, that was a good one!” you say to your chatter as the door closes behind Tanya. “She never saw it coming! Thank you Thighman6969 for the seven, guys thank him for those subscriptions if you received them. But wow, that's some news. Be honest, how many of you saw that coming?”

And as you converse back and forth with your chat, talking about a promising-seeming upcoming gladiator with her mechanical drones as well as that breaking news, you can't help but feel a little sad. Despite everything, you'd been kind of looking forward to fighting her again someday. Maybe she'll agree to fight sometime off camera, for old times' sake?

-Meanwhile, outside the Champion's Suite-

“Well, how did it go General?” your longtime second, Major Viktoriya Serebryakov asks with a mildly worried expression.
“It went pleasantly, all things considered.” you reply, allowing yourself a genuine smile in her presence. “And I'm not a general, not anymore. Just call me Tanya.”
“Yes Gene-ehh, T-Tanya!” she replies, saluting despite stumbling over her words. She seems a bit uncomfortable using first names with you, as you've been identified by your rank over her for so long. So you sigh out, and breaking from military tradition step forward, putting a hand on her shoulder and address her more casually.

“Listen, Viktoriya. If you want to go back home, back to the military, I'd understand.” you tell her, laying on the emotions. “After all, I've been a part of the military since I was nine years old. Adjusting to a more... Civilian lifestyle could prove difficult. And I won't order you to go through that.”
“No, I-I'll stay here with you!” she says, almost shouting. “Being here with you is great, I don't want to go home if you're not there too.”
“Hmm, very well. Then let us go, Viktoriya.” you tell her, taking off your military-styled hat as you start walking down the hallway, further distancing yourself from that old life. And as you take off your military jacket, Viktoriya taking it from you as you stretch, you can feel your mentally shifting as you prepare for an even older lifestyle you lived long, long ago. “It's time for us to go to work.”

Ha. But even casual Chaya fans know that Chilli’s the ‘genius’ sibling of the family. And the only Saiyan who uses magic, as people saw from the New Salda youth tournament. Chilli’s unique style, both there and earlier back during the Hive war earned him his own small but loyal, hardcore fanbase. Many of who have begun their own dives into the magical esoteric arts

>The only 100% Saiyan to use magic.
Is it really that rare? Or is Chilli just the only pure blood to get a chance to explore his potential?
>>
>>5689218
Saiyans can sneeze mountains in half with their superior muscles and live just about anywhere that has enough stuff to eat, they never really needed magic so it makes sense there's basically zero of them. They are the universe's finest hammer, not a all-in one wrench set like humans.

At least that's how I see it.
>>
>>5689219
I can certainly understand the logic in that, but after a certain point it would have to be more than a single purebred that demonstrates that aptitude would it not?
I guess it's a symptom of the mass fillings from the recent wars and centuries of infighting.
>>
>>5689227
"Cullings", not "fillings".
>>
>>5689237
No clue how you made that mistake Anon, cullings reduce the population while fillings increase it
>>
>>5689180
I guessing miracles don't count as magic then.
>>
>>5689284
I'm fairly certain those miracles are a product of the user's Faith being channeled through a Talisman, whereas Magic (as far as Chilli wields it in most cases) are a product of the user's own internal magical energy being made manifest through force of will.
>>
>>5689218
He’s the only one Raven has sensed with any magical potential so far.
>>5689219
An apt comparison.
>>5689227
There may be others. But with the planet’s Guardian not sensing any, along with the population hitting a near point of no return less than 20 years ago now. Sure the population is recovering, Karn and Meloka having done a small part of that, but there aren’t even a million adult Saiyans left yet.
>>5689284
Yes and no. She CHANNELS miracles, she herself doesn’t make them happen. Caulifla has no innate talent or ability for magic, but can channel the powers of Anor Londo’s gods. Like a Cleric or Warlock. No innate power on her own, as it comes from another source.
>>5689291
A sufficient explanation
>>
>>5689301
>Like a Cleric or Warlock. No innate power on her own, as it comes from another source.
Yeah, that sounds right. I was fumbling around for just that comparison.
On the topic of traditional classes though, are there any Saiyan Monks?
I know Saiyans are able to channel and manipulate their own Ki innately, but bare with me.
I think we both understand there's a difference between a gifted individual, (even one who trains regularly) and one dedicated to some form of Budou and/or Bujutsu.
>>
>>5689301
>along with the population hitting a near point of no return less than 20 years ago now. Sure the population is recovering, Karn and Meloka having done a small part of that, but there aren’t even a million adult Saiyans left yet.
It's been fucking ROUGH for Saiyans. Good thing they're tougher.
>>
>>5689377
>Good thing they got lucky
Fixed that for you.
For as tough as the Saiyans are, they owe their continued survival to a handful of exceptional individuals and many more experiences ones.

>>
>>5689381
To be fair, the galaxy wasn't big enough for more than 4 of them
>>
>>5689400
That's the problem. I don't know if it's Cold's upbringing or some innate anti-social behavior, but the way they act is a detriment to what's left of their species.
Arctus is an exception and Frieza might be able to transcend his megalomania one day, but I maintain a species made up of individuals who are in it only for themselves won't be around for very long.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

One month after the events of Meloka Wolbach's second birthday, Chilli reached out to his father so he could travel to Yardrat and begin their Spirit Control training. Karn of course accepts, taking his son over where he finds Cooler of all people training for his rematch with Karn. Afterwards, months later while visiting Towa, Mechikabura arrives, recruiting Karn to recover one of his stolen Dark Dragon Balls. In the fight Karn destroys Merged Zamasu, then both halves of Zamasu before joining Cell in fighting a Majin with the Dark Dragon Ball implanted into its chest. But even that ridiculous power gap isn't enough to stop Divine Dragon Force, destroying the monster and allowing Karn to reclaim the orb. But as we rejoin Karn, four months after the granddaughter's birthday, you're face-to-face with the twins Leyas and Sarada, each having finally achieved their Primal Demon forms.

“HAAAAAA!!” you roar, crashing into the two of them at full speed. And even though, individually, they're only around 85% of your own strength, together they manage to completely stop your charge as the three of you collide. But not only that, then they both start trying to bodily force you backwards! “Tch! You think you can overpower me?”

Planting your feet, you try and hold back their combined newfound power. But it's too much, your feet carving twin trenches through the soft, muddy forest floor as they keep forcing you backwards. Despite your strength, you can't overpower them. So you do the next best thing, letting your feet up and flipping backwards form the force. You see the surprise on their faces, smirking as you drive each of your knees straight up into their guts.

“Guuuh!” Leyas wheezes.
“Gaaahk!” Sarada coughs, your hits stunning the duo and stopping the twins right in their tracks. Then, before they can recover, you twist your entire body clockwise, slamming Leyas into Sarada with a heavy lariat. You then slam both into the ground, burying both in the ground before kicking off their bodies and leaping into the sky. A moment later a beam fires up from them at you, forcing you to activate your Barrier. The energy slams into your shield, it dispersing the blast and keeping you safe. But as Leyas holds you down, Sarada explodes up out of the hole, flying up around her brother's blast directly towards you. To which you can't help but smirk. They did all the work of separating themselves for you.

“You're mine!” she shouts, surging up the beam directly towards you. To which you back off, ending your shield and dodging the beam. Sarada blitzes around Leyas's blast, right fist cocked back as she closes in and swings. Her heavy right lands squarely on your guard, your crossed arms absorbing the impact. Which is tremendous, her raw power behind the strike knocking you back.

“Tch!” you exclaim, it taking you a second to stop the backwards momentum her punch sent into you. Slowing to a stop, she again closes the distance and swings a heavy left this time. Which you catch in your left hand, then punch at her with your own right. Which she catches in her right hand, binding both of your arms as you had during your first fight years ago. And just like back then you both smirk, realizing it at the same time, then swing your heads forward at each other.

CRACK

Your foreheads slam into each other's, you drawing your head back and swinging it forward again. She does the same, matching your headbutt with one of her own over and over. But after half a dozen swings, suddenly your instincts warn you of danger from behind. You also see the corner of her mouth turn up, realizing what's about to happen. So as Sarada swings her head forward again, instead of matching it with another of your own, you pull her back as you flip backwards.

“Wha-?! GUUUH!” she shouts then wheezes as Leyas's flying kick hits her in the back instead of you. Releasing her as she's stunned, you then drive a heavy side kick into her guts, knocking her back into her brother and sending both flying back. He catches his sister, the two flying to a stop as she holds her guts in her left. “Heh. Not. Haaah. Bad Karn. But. I'm not. Done yet! HAAAAAA!”
“HRRRAAAAAA!!” Leyas roars with her, both of them powering up even further, their strength rising even higher. Your hits have barely slowed her down, the twins looking ready for more

“HAAA!!” you shout, throwing your left hand forward and unleashing a Scattershot at the twins while leaping backwards. Sarada guards herself as Leyas charges forward, activating his own Energy Body and charging straight for you. Before the attack in your right hand is ready to throw he's closed the distance, dropping the Energy Body and focusing it all into his right fist. He's too close, slamming his ki-clad right fist square into your jaw. His punch hits hard, energy detonating and knocking you back a step. But you keep your balance, planting your right foot and sliding to a stop before twisting your upper body counterclockwise, slamming the entire Scattershot into his chest at point blank range.

“Oh Shi_!!” he exclaims before your attack explodes, hundreds of blasts going off simultaneously and sending your friend flying backwards. “GYAAAAH!!”
“RRRAAAAAA!!” Sarada roars, dropping from the sky with a powerful ax kick aimed at your shoulder. But you simply leap back, throwing your left hand forward and firing a Scatter Beam her way. Which she dodges, but is forced to leap aside instead of charging after you. Giving you space to work, to keep them both away and separated so you won't get piled on.
“Take this!” you shout, your ki in your right having formed the Energy Javelin. But as you throw it, the extra large javelin splits into several dozen smaller attacks, leaving her nowhere to run.
“BARRIER!” she shouts, throwing both arms wide and forming a sphere of hardened energy around herself. Just in time, as your attacks all bounce off the energy of her shield and explode around her. Only for Leyas to surge forward out of the smoke, Energy Body again at full power. So you draw your right up over your left shoulder, ki gathered into two fingertips as you swing them down.

“Death Slash!” you shout, firing the blade of cutting energy directly at your friend. Now, were he to not be using the shielding technique, you wouldn't have done so. But his Energy Body should be able to tank it. And tank it he does, Leyas crossing his arms across his body and catches the razor-sharp attack on his ki-shielded forearms. However, even with his Energy Body, your attack packed quite a punch. Slamming him to a stop, giving you more time to keep backing up as he struggles a moment, then by throwing his arms out to the sides shatters your blade of ki with a shout.

“RRRAAAAAAA!!” he bellows, your attack shattering as he manages to withstand that attack. The smoke behind him clears enough for you to see Sarada, shield still up as her body's revealed. “Heh. Not bad Karn. But you're gonna have to do better than that!”

“We're not gonna just let you keep running away!” Sarada shouts, aura blazing once more a moment before both turn, nod to each other before blasting off in opposite directions. Leyas flies off to your left, Sarada to your right and leaving you only one way to go. So, without hesitation you kick off the ground, launching yourself into the sky while throwing two Scattershots down, one right after the other down on their heads. But your attacks don't slow the twins down, both clad in Energy Bodies as they charge full speed towards you. “Get back here!”

“HAAAAA!!” Leyas shouts, he and Sarada closing in on you. You try gathering your ki for another attack, but the twins are too close, drawing their fists back and swinging both at your head. Forcing you to abandon your attempted attack, raising your forearms to block the two simultaneous punches. Their combined power is far too much for your to handle by yourself, the twin fists launching you backwards. You're sent flying, tumbling backwards head over heels several times before you right yourself. But just as you do, they've closed in again, Leyas throwing a right haymaker at your head while Sarada spins into a left turning kick at your ribs.

“Tch!” you exclaim, blocking both simultaneous strikes with your forearms. But the two of them launch into a barrage of attacks, forcing you wholly onto the defensive. They don't use the Djem So or Su Ma techniques you're most used to defending after the last few years. Instead, they use the style you'd been raised on, focused wholly on speed, power, and raw aggression. They attack from separate sides, pressing their assault relentlessly. You defend yourself as well as you can, but their aggression is too much to handle. If it had been either of them by themselves, you would have been easily able to withstand their attack. But two on one, you're simply outmatched. Both of them land several hits on you before you've had enough, crossing your arms and unleashing your ki in an Explosive Wave. “HAAAAAAA!!”

Your wave of energy knocks the both of them back, forcing them both off of you. Seems that you can't keep them both back off of you for long. You're going to have to go in and fight them hand-to-hand.

I was initially gonna vote for dropping down and trying to bait them in range for a Champion augmented Djem-So caliber.
However, I get the feeling that even if Leyas was dumb enough to dive in, Sarada would take a Ki hammer to the back of Karn's head.

“HAAAAAA!!” you shout, allowing your aura to blaze as you power back up to full. Then you cross your arms, drawing your energy inwards towards your body. You harden your ki into a suit of near-impenetrable armor around yourself, your Energy Body glowing emerald around you. “Enough playing around, time for round two!”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmH_wUt2o6g

“Heh, now THAT'S more like it!” Sarada shouts, her and Leyas's auras blazing before forming their own Energy Bodies. Which means you don't have to hold back. “Bring it on!”

You launch yourself forward, Leyas and Sarada both swinging fists at your head. Which you deflect with the outside of your left forearm, knocking their strikes aside before slamming your fist square into Sarada's guts at one hundred percent power. And even through her Energy Body you can tell she feels it, the heavy blow sending her flying. But as you do Leyas, using the momentum from your block spins, twisting into a right roundhouse at your head. You block his kick with your forearm, then wrapping your arm around grab his leg to your side, catching him.

“Got you now!” Leyas shouts, leaning in and firing off a two handed axe handle blow at your head. Which you block on your left forearm, leaving his side wide open. Which you take full advantage of, driving your left knee up into his side. You hear his sharp inhale of pain through the armor, releasing him and letting the power of your blow sending him flying away. Sarada then rushes you from behind, closing in silently while trying to sneak up on you. Twisting clockwise, you raise your right arm up into a guard, knocking her heavy left aside. Which doesn't surprise her in the slightest, following up with a heavy right aimed at your face. Which you block squarely with your left, catching her fist in your hand. You see her jaw drop, then grit her teeth as she tries another left. Which you catch with your right, stopping her again.

Before she can do anything else you pull her towards you, driving your right knee up into her face. Her ki armor protects her face from being broken, but the heavy blow still sends her flying back and away. Right at Leyas, who dodges her and keeps rushing straight for you.

“Get back here!” he roars, dropping down at you with a right ax kick. Jumping back, you narrowly avoid his crushing blow, his heel narrowly missing you. But he tries to combo off the attack into a heavy right hammerfist, which you again block with an armored forearm. Exposing Leyas's right ribs, drawing back your left leg and unleashing a devastating side kick into them. “Gyuuurh!”

With a smirk you then twist your entire body, which is currently horizontal counterclockwise, striking him upside the head with a devastating right turning kick. The heavy blow snaps his head to the side, but Leyas remains in place, only staggering back a half step. So you continue, firing off a heavy thrusting left kick into his guts.

“Gahk!” he exclaims, wheezing as your heavy blow winds him even through the armor. He lowers his own guard, arms crossing his guts as he doubles over. You then raise both hands overhead, lacing your fingers together before slamming your joined fists down atop his head and send Leyas crashing down to the ground. Just in time for Sarada to close in once more, Energy Body still shimmering around her. With her right arm drawn back, closing in suddenly you get a flash of the future once more. You see her close in, faking you out with her right and instead firing a left jab into your face. Which surprises that future you, Sarada using that opening to get in and press the attack before you can defend yourself.

“DYAAAAH!” she shouts, snapping you back to the present as she starts swinging with her right. But, knowing its a fake you instead drive in, beating her to the punch with a left of your own. Your fist connects cleanly, snapping Sarada's head back and wholly stopping her momentum. “Guh!?”
“HRRAAAA!” you shout, driving your right up into an uppercut, driving your fist hard into her left ribs followed by a crushing left elbow to her right temple. The heavy blow stuns her, her eyes going unfocused as your heavy blow knocks her horizontal. Before she comes back to her senses you follow up with another right uppercut, this time to her head and snapping her entire body back upright. But before she can fly out of range you fly up, again lacing your fingers together before slamming your fists down on her as well. The heavy blow sends her crashing down towards the ground as well, smashing into a crater beside her brother as he pushes himself back up to his feet. “Not bad you two, not bad. I can actually go all-out like this!”

“Heh. Well I'm not done yet!” Leyas declares, clenching his fists and allowing his aura to blaze up around him once more. Sarada is still down, but her brother doesn't look like he's going to wait for her, his power blazing.

“That's the spirit!” you reply, letting your Energy Body crack then shatter as you flare your own aura up around you. “Now, let's see how you handle this!”
“Bring it!” he replies as you blitz down towards him, drawing your right arm back. He plants his feet, drawing his own right back as he prepares to clash fists. But you have no intentions of matching power with power, you're on a different technique now. And as you close in, you swing, several feet short of him. “Wha-?”

“HAAAAAA!!” you exclaim as you flip forward, using the momentum of your flip into a devastating right axe kick down onto him. With his right arm extended, you feel him fold under your strike. As you continue flipping around, you see that the blow knocked him down to all fours. Drawing your left back, you prepare to drop a devastating follow up attack, but before you can he surges back upright with a powerful left uppercut.
“GRRRAAAAAA!!” he roars, fury in his voice as he swings. But, despite your size you are clearly faster, using the Su Ma style to twist counterclockwise around his heavy strike. Before he can counter, you drive your left elbow back into the back of his head. “Guuh!”

Stunned by this one, you reverse your momentum from the blow, flipping backwards and driving your knee square into his face. The blow knocks him back a step, you landing on your feet. But as you do, suddenly you feel Sarada's ki closing in behind you quick. Without hesitation you spring up off the ground, flipping backwards over her attack. Before she can recover, you flip all the way around, slamming your right knee square into the back of her head.

“Tuuhhh!” she exclaims, your hit staggering her and knocking her down to all fours. Leyas jumps up over her at you with a ki-clad right.
“KARN!!” he roars, swinging his explosive attack at your face. But with the movements of the Su Ma, you easily spin around the attack. Catching him right on the temple with a heavy left over his outstretched arm, then by reversing your momentum twist it into a right uppercut under his arm that lands squarely on his chin. Launching Leyas straight up into the air, but you're not done yet. As you then continue the momentum, twisting counterclockwise and driving your left heel square into his chest. “FUCK!!”

He shouts as you feel something give when you kick him, Leyas's entire body gets sent flying back and away. But you still aren't done, taking your momentum into a backflip to drop a heavy knee down at Sarada. But she fires a ki wave from each hand, using the energy to help kick her off the ground and dodge your attack.

“Not bad.” you reply, raising your right hand to your forehead. She stops the beams, readying another attack to try and prevent you from teleporting. But as she fires, your Instant Transmission activates.

One instant she's shouting an attack at you, the next you're off to her left as she throws her right hand forward. The energy orb launches towards where you were, her upper body turned towards you. An opening you exploit, planting your feet and driving a straight right square into her guts.

“GAK!” she exclaims, coughing up blood as your punch sends her flying back. Crashing into her brother as he pushes himself upright, the two both going down in a pile of flailing limbs. They don't immediately get back up, you taking a deep breath and readying yourself to lunge forward again before you see another vision. One where you go in for the attack once more, only for them both to power back down to their normal forms. Instead of continuing the attack after seeing this you instead sigh out before rising back up to your full height, waiting on them to rise.

“Get off'a me!” Leyas says, shoving his sister off of him before standing up, Sarada rising as well only for both of them to see you still standing there, not pressing the advantage.
“Not bad. This new power of yours is impressive.” you say to them both, powering back down. “Now that you're at this level of strength, we're going to have to do this more often.”
“Giving up so soon? I can still go for more!” Leyas boasts, again blazing his aura up. But as he does, his aura suddenly fades, you sensing his power plummet. “What?”
“Keep mastering this power, and I'm sure you'll be able to hold it as long as I can use mine.” you reply as his fur vanishes, losing a couple inches of height as well as he returns back to base form. Strangely, somehow his armor returns, restoring itself as if it hadn't shattered when he'd transformed before. Which is odd.
“Hahaha, looks like you're already out of gas!” Sarada taunts before the same thing happens to her, both returning to their base forms. “Awww, damn it! I wanted to keep going!”

“We'll do this again tomorrow, if you both can reattain the form then.” you say, walking over and offering both your outstretched fist. Which the twins smirk, both pressing their own fists to yours. “But for now, go rest up and eat well, because I'm not holding back tomorrow either.”
“I won't lose next time, for sure!” Sarada replies, the three of you parting ways. Seems you've added another workout to your daily schedule, one you're quite looking forward to. You knew deep down that their power would be crazy in that form, thanks to your half-demon son Maza doing so. But you weren't ready for it to be quite as close. If you had any doubts about keeping your fighting sharp, they're out the window now. If you get sloppy or careless, they'll beat you senseless in a heartbeat.

And so your days continued, returning to your usual daily schedule with a new addition. Every day for the next two months, you battle the twins in their Primal Demon forms. At first they can only hold onto that power for a few minutes at a time, but by the end of the second month, both were still in their forms when you would call the sparring for time.

“You two've really got that form down.” you say, your chest heaving as Meloka comes by to get you. Both of the twins are still transformed, neither breathing as hard as you are. Fighting side by side against you, their teamwork also steadily improved over time as well. While they aren't quite at your own oldest twins' level of coordination, or the Ginyu Force's, they are a much more efficient fighting duo than ever before. Were it to ever come to a serious life-or-death battle against the two of them, you aren't confident you could take them with only your own power now. You'd need your Champion power, or Divine Dragon Force to win against them in a real battle of life or death. “Next time trouble comes for our home, they'd better watch out.”

“Who are you kidding, there's no one left in the universe dumb enough to challenge us.” Leyas says. But as he does so, immediately you get a worried feeling in your guts. Then, both you and your wife's heads snap up, both sensing the same thing: something powerful is rapidly approaching New Salda. Something strong, and incredibly fast. This immense power feels somewhat familiar, but you can't quite place it.

“Karn, what is it?” Leyas asks, picking up on your sudden shift in body language. While your friend might not be the smartest man, no one can say he isn't a warrior, through and through. Realizing immediately you're responding to approaching danger.
“Something's coming.” you say, closing your eyes and immediately reaching out to two more of the strongest warriors on New Salda. You wish Ubo were around, but last you'd heard from him he'd gone off to his home world that was restored by the Namekian dragon, Porunga. “King Vegeta, Broly. Both of you, get here now. Something's coming.”

“Already here.” your son says, already in his Primal form as well. No doubt his Yardratian Spirit Control training at work.
“What do you mean?” the king asks, you sensing his energy suddenly peak back over in the city. “Karn, what is coming?”
“I don't know. Something strong, but it feels familiar.” you respond, not quite sure what it is. But what you do know is that this approaching powerlevel is noticeably stronger than you, and not only by a little bit. This approaching power is strong. As it closes in King Vegeta rushes over, Koriand'r also approaching, shouting after Broly.

“Hey, what's wrong? You just took....Off...” she says, voice trailing off as she sees all of you gathered. Immediately her entire demeanor changes, a worried edge to her voice. “What's wrong?”
“Something's coming.” Meloka warns her, Koriand'r understanding immediately. She rushes over to Broly, flying up to his cheek and giving him a kiss.
“Be safe.” she whispers, then flies off. Noticeably, not from wherever she and he'd been out in the forest, but instead back towards your home where your younger kids are. And feel your respect for her go up even more. But then the power closes in even more, you turning your attention back to the approaching powerlevel. And, suddenly, you recognize it. That intense, rapidly-approaching golden power.

“What the hell?” you wonder, curious why Freeza's approaching without giving any of you so much as a warning. But as you're about to reach out, realization dawns. You recognized that Golden power, which is why the approaching power feels familiar. But it isn't Freeza that's approaching New Salda, in fact you only know one person who it could be:

Cooler.

“It's Cooler.” you mutter, everyone turning to you. From the corner of your eye, you see the worry in your wife's face. In fact, as you look down, everyone's looking worriedly towards you. Everyone present knows the history between you and Cooler, realizing what's about to go down.
“What's your plan? Are you going to fight him here?” he asks you seriously, a concerned expression on his face.

“If Cooler wants to throw down, I'll fight him wherever and whenever he wants.” you reply, turning your gaze back up towards the sky as Cooler's blazing ki approaches. “But we should probably back up.”

As you say this, you see a tiny pinpoint of golden light overhead. Then, before you can move it grows, swelling into a massive column of light that drops down less than two feet before you. For an instant you'd braced yourself for the concussive shock of Cooler slamming into the ground, but he doesn't. He stops a few inches off the ground, letting the shock waves from his meteoric entrance blast out over you all before gently touching down. His entire body is clad in shining gold, slightly reflecting the shocked faces of Leyas, Sarada, and King Vegeta. Meloka had caught glimpses of his training whenever you'd both gone to visit with Chilli on Planet Yardrat, Elder Pybara finally getting your son balanced last week so they could begin on learning the actual techniques.

“Such a warm reception. It would seem that at least you lowly beings still recognize me for the threat that I am.” Cooler says, his face mask sliding off to reveal his face as he talks. “Behold, this is the power of Golden Cooler! HAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

Cooler, clenching his fists, shouts and raises his already absurd powerlevel. His energy spikes, his aura blowing so strong you all have to brace yourselves to avoid being blasted away from the sheer force of his might. His strength is impressive, so much so you aren't sure if he or Freeza is now the stronger of the two. Which is something you'd not thought of before, but now there's no escaping it.

“Tch!” you exhale as you are pushed back, your feet carving twin trenches through the ground as his strength continues to rise, all of New Salda shaking from his sheer strength. But then, after a few moments its over, Cooler letting off the gas and allowing his power relax. “Heh, not bad Cooler. So, where do you want to do this? I'm ready whenever you are.”
“That's Lord Cooler to you, Saiyan.” he replies, smirking. “But we won't be fighting today.”
“Wait, what?” you ask, genuinely confused. “What do you mean?”

“My brother told me all about your god-defying power. How it isn't something you can reliably call on yet.” he answers, a malicious gleam in his eyes. “And I know who you're waiting for to wholly unleash it on. So, until then, until you've mastered this god-breaking strength, we won't fight. Breaking this... Lesser version of you wouldn't be worth the effort. No, now that I have attained this new strength, I shall wait for you to do the same. And then, once you've learned to harness it at will, THEN I shall return, and break you in two.”

“You sure that's a good idea?” you counter, unable to keep a small smirk off of your own face. “If you wait until then, this Golden power you've got now might not stand a chance. This might be your last chance to take me down.”
“Beating you here and now, clearly not at your best, would be a waste of my time.” he replies, smirk growing wider as he points over his shoulder with a thumb towards Leyas and Sarada. “After all, if you're struggling against the two of them, then you're nowhere even close to being a challenge for what I am now.”

“Then why show up at all? Just to boast?” Leyas asks, his annoyance clear in his tone. To which Cooler chuckles, but still only has eyes for you.
“This was merely a courtesy call, a, how do you say it, additional motivation.” he says to you. “You monkeys climb, it is your very nature. And now that you see the clear gap between our powers, your little monkey brain will aspire to climb higher, to close this now-insurmountable gap. So do what you do best, General. Keep climbing, and, just maybe, once you've shown Lord Beerus your new power, you shall finally be ready to fight me.”

Well? How do you respond to this?
>Tell him that if he's too afraid to fight here and now you understand, but you WILL fight him soon after the Destroyer has left New Salda
>Accept his proposal without rising to the bait, simply offer your hand and say you accept his offer

“Well, I suppose if you're that confident I can put our rematch on hold until after seeing Lord Beerus again.” you say, holding out your hand. “But I don't want you to make excuses when I beat you again, crying about how you 'could' have beaten me once I beat you again.”
“HA! If you can manage to defeat me, I'll kneel at your feet and beg for mercy!” Cooler replies confidently, actually reaching forward and taking your forearm in his hand. “But you'd better not slack off. When I beat you, I'll have you kneel before me and admit I am superior!”

“If you can make me kneel, it's all yours.” you reply confidently, the two of you shaking once before releasing each other simultaneously. “Just don't run away before you do next time.”
“I won't flee from you, not again.” he responds, his face plate returning to his face. Then, without a word to anyone else, blasts straight back off into the air, leaving New Salda behind in a second.

However, he was correct about one thing. His arrival and demonstration of his power to you did have the intended effect. As for the next month you pour everything into training, both of yourself and others as the year of Lord Beerus's arrival draws ever closer. For the next two weeks you crank up the intensity of your morning workouts, increasing the gravity to 70x New Salda's gravity. With your training with Leyas and Sarada, you multiform each time so that, individually, each of the twins is stronger than the body of you they fight. But at the start of the third week, after sparring with Leyas and Sarada to exhaustion for the three of you, you receive an unexpected visitor.

“Tha-haah-That's good. For today.” you say to them, one of your bodies and Sarada still standing, the other and Leyas both down on the ground. You walk over to yourself, merging yourselves back into one, when you detect a ki appearing. On reflex you spin, fist drawn back only to stop as Chilli appears, his now very-pregnant wife and daughter there with him. “Oh, hey.”
“Grandpa!” Meloka Wolbach shouts, leaping at you. And, despite how exhausted you are brace yourself, catching the young girl as she slams full-power into you. “I missed you! Where have you been the last couple of weeks?”

“Sorry, I got too focused on training and didn't come to visit.” you tell her, ruffling her hair with your left. “Did you have a good time on Planet Yardrat?”
“I did! Oh, and watch this!” she says, clenching her fists and closing her eyes. Leaving you wondering what exactly is about to happen. But then, before you can see it, you feel it. Something is rising within her. “HAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

Your granddaughter's ki begins spiking, her powerlevel surging dozens of times higher as her hair stands on end. You watch as it flashes golden once, twice, three times before it wholly turns to gold and her crimson energy changes to that same golden hue. She...She really did it. Your granddaughter is already a Super Saiyan. But, as she opens her eyes, you see that it's not quite the same. As her eyes, much like her mother's whenever she'd get excited or use her power, are still blazing crimson.

“Look! I'm a Super Saiyan too, just like Daddy!” she shouts excitedly, pulling one of her now-spiked bangs down to show you, and see for herself. Just to make sure. “I did it!”
“You sure did kiddo.” you say, again ruffling her hair as she beams up at you. You look to her parents, the very pregnant Megumin smiling but with a hint of worry in her eyes as she looks to her daughter. While her father just looks at her proudly. “When did this happen?”
“It was about three weeks ago, maybe.” your son says, explaining how Cooler had been talking with the elder about finally confronting you. “Until someone heard Cooler threatening you.”

“That big meanie said he was gonna hurt you, and I got really angry at him.” she says, her expression darkening as she no doubt remembers back to her Super Saiyan triggering the first time. “Then he said Daddy was too weak to stop him, and said when I came back you weren't gonna be here. And then he hit Daddy, after Daddy told him to stop, and I got really, really mad.”
“That you did.” he says, your son still smiling. “And tell Grandpa what we did after that.”
“Then Daddy and I started training!” she says excitedly. “Every day Daddy would split into several Daddies! One would train with Elder Pybara, one would spend time with Mommy, and one would train with me! Now I can go all super!”

“Well isn't that something.” Meloka says, landing from flying over after no doubt sensing their arrival.
“Grandma!” she shouts, blasting out of your arms over to hers. But as she starts telling the story to her, Chilli turns to you, his expression darkening as he thinks to you.
“Is everything okay? I sensed Cooler arrive, but then he left.” he tells you. “He didn't threaten you or Mom, did he?”
“No no, he only threatened me as much as I did him.” you reply to your son. “But he did give me even more motivation to get stronger. Once I master this new power, he's next."

After spending an hour or so with Chilli and his family, everyone coming out to meet him now that he's done the elder's training he and his wife and daughter returned home. Life again returned to normal, now spending some time at their home instead of Yardrat to be with them. The weeks pass quickly to months, and a month after Cooler's arrival, you get some rather interesting news.

“Dad, we need to talk.” Broly tells you one morning, walking in right as you and Chaya were about to leave the training room from your 70x New Salda's gravity workout. “Chaya, mind giving us a minute?”
“Of course.” she replies, grinning knowingly at her brother before walking out. As the door shuts, she calls back to him. “Good luck wi-”

But whatever she was going to say is cut off by the door sealing shut with a hiss. Leaving you and your oldest son alone.

“So, what's on your mind?” you ask him, relaxing your stance. “What's going on son?”
“It's about Kori.” he says, your son looking down at his feet. Clearly nervous about something, but what? He takes a moment to find his courage, looking up to your eyes. “I want your opinion on something. If... If you think something is a good idea or not.”
“Well, I can't say I'm the smartest man son.” you tell him honestly, putting your hand on his shoulder. “But I can give you my best answer. You've been a bit more on edge all week, something's clearly been bothering you.”

“I... You mean it was that obvious?” he asks, to which you can't help but smile.
“Son, I've known you almost your entire life.” you tell him, reminiscing on the first time you'd seen him. “When you and Chaya were both newborns, I remember you and her both in the old nursery back on Planet Vegeta. Your sister crying and screaming her head off, and you flying over to her pod and laying with her so she calmed down. I can tell when something's weighing on your mind.”

He listens as you tell him something you'd never told him before, his brows furrowing as he digests this information. After a few seconds he takes a deep breath in, then sighs out and just blurts out his thoughts.

“Kori and I, well, we.... She, ahh, damn it.” he says, raising his hands and slapping his cheeks, focusing on his words. “I really like her. Really, really like her. And I was thinking about, well, this.”

And there, in his hand you see a small golden band with an azure stone embedded in it. Immediately you understand his intentions and why he's so lost for words. Well, it seems to you like his intentions are quite clear.

Your son, standing there and holding the ring out for you to see, makes his intentions towards the exiled Tamaranean princess quite clear. So you reach down, gingerly taking the ring and holding up so you can see it better. Immediately you recognize the craftsmanship, the ring clearly an artifact from the M'lurnian ruins. Nodding to yourself you put the ring back into his hand, and ask a question you don't think he was ready for.

“So, where did you get this?” you ask him, your son's eyebrows going up. It takes him a moment to switch tracks, clearly having expected you to give your opinion on him marrying Koriand'r first.
“Well, a month back we joined one of those expeditions down underground.” he says, then clarifies before continuing. “Kori and I. We went with Kabuya and several of Daiko's people, who were investigating another new area down there.”
“Wait, another?” you ask, then after a moment remember the secret area you'd discovered, with that stone-armored warrior. “Through a wall that wasn't really there?”

“Not quite. This was different.” he says, really getting your attention. “They found an elevator down into a deeper area, one that used to be flooded with water. At least, that's how they explained it. But after you bested that Dark, and the Abyss retreated, the water flowed out of several parts of that underground maze, no doubt filling where it once was. There were even more of those animated statues down there, so Kori and I were protecting them as they mapped the area. And, while we were down there, she found it and said she liked the ring. But I told her we had to leave it, so they could identify everything down there.”

“And once her back was turned, you pocketed it.” you say, nodding slightly. “Did your brother check it over for you?”
“Chilli said it doesn't have any evil or dangerous magics on it, he even had that skeleton wizard Ainz double check it for him two days ago.” Broly confirms, looking down at it for several seconds before putting the ring back away. “So, what do you think?”

“What do I think? Well-”

Well? What do you think of Broly trying to marry Koriand'r? Any advice or wisdom to pass on to him?

“-if she loves you as much as I think you love her, then there shouldn't be any problems.” you say, then after a second's thought add. “But, much like our kind, they seem to have about as much of a concept of marriage as our kind did. So, if you want her to be your one and only woman, you'd better talk to her about it.”
“Yes, I've asked her about her thoughts on marriage before, and we're of the same opinion.” he tells you, smiling excitedly. “She's not like her sister.”

“Then don't second-guess yourself, son.” you tell him, clapping him on the shoulder and looking him in the eyes. “If you're going to start a family with Koriand'r, you need to come to terms with who and what you are. You've spent years honing yourself, mind body and soul to protect that which is important to you. To protect everything you hold dear, which clearly now includes her too. You're a good man, son, and I have no doubts that you'll make a great father as well. You just need to believe in yourself, the way I believe you.”

“Dad...” he says, seemingly at a loss for words for a moment. He's looking at you but not looking at you, no doubt lost in either his thoughts or memories one. But after a moment he snaps out of it, shaking his head and refocusing. “I don't let you down.”
“Don't worry about me, son. Worry about letting HER down. Marriage is something that requires both of you to give each other everything you have. Don't forget to give her your best.” you tell him, Broly nodding before your tone turns more serious. “Now, if anyone tries to deny you and her your happy ending, then you must personally show them the results of all your hard work. If you're just as ready to put your being on the line for her that she is, then you both have my blessing.”

“Right. Thanks Dad.” Broly says, actually offering you his hand. Which you take, the two of you clasping forearms as you nod to your son. After a moment he lets go, turning to the doorway before you stop him, placing a hand on his shoulder.
“Good luck son.” you tell him, patting him on the shoulder before he walks out, you following him out before heading over to the shower to wash your morning workout off. And by the time you join everyone in the mess hall for morning breakfast, the room is buzzing around Broly and Kori. Even your crewmates and Turles, whose joined your family for breakfast more and more after Ticho has gotten closer with your kids. She's the most excited for her aunt to be marrying Broly, Turles looking on the pair of them with a mixed expression. So, you sit down beside him as everyone else flocks to the couple, looking to him. “Hey. You alright?”

“Yeah. It's just.... Seeing them like that, its good to see.” he says, not looking at you but at Broly and Kori sitting together, holding hands. “This universe needs a bit more of that, of happy families. And maybe one day, the two of them... No, nevermind.”

You think on what he means and understand he's talking about Komand'r, and maybe the two of them one day replacing her. But you're not sure that's something the two of them'd want.

“Kori might, but I don't think Broly has any intentions to rule.” you tell him, one of Silver's disciples coming over with food for you as well. Which you dig in to, devouring your meal. “What about Ticho? She'd be next in line, wouldn't she?”

And Turles's expression changes, one instant going from melancholic to absolutely furious. But he then takes a deep breath, sighing out and relaxing before speaking.

“Yes. As daughter to the current queen, when she is of age, she would be eligible to challenge her mother for the throne.” Turles says. “But...”
“But you don't want her to go.” you finish for him. “I understand.”

The two of you then finish your meals in silence, everyone still crowding around the couple long after you finished. However, after Broly's proposal everything returned mostly back to normal, for a few days. Until you receive a telepathic call from another of Freeza's kin.

“Karn, it's Arctus. Can you hear me?” he thinks to you one morning just as you finish your supper. “We've got a problem.”
“What's going on?” you ask him, immediately standing up from the table and putting your right hand to your forehead.
“Remember that monster that attacked me, Darkseid? The one you tried to kill?” he asks, you remembering it all too well. How, despite hitting the man with Divine Dragon Force, you didn't kill it. “He's back, and about to attack another planet. My spies have already spotted his monsters placing those boxes, preparing for the invasion.”
“Where is it?” you ask, Meloka and your kids all looking worried towards you.
“He's going after your new Kryptonian friend's world.” Arctus says. “The invasion is going to start any minute.”

Well? What do you do?
>Telepathically warn Superman and his allies of what's coming, and ask him if he wants your help
>Teleport directly to the Kryptonian, warn him in person what's happening and offer your assistance
>Gather your family and take everyone you want and are available to fight this monster's forces to try and prevent what happened to Arctus's world there as well. The people of that planet can't fight, they'd get slaughtered
>Tell Arctus to not worry, you think they can handle him. But if they can't, to let you know and you'll assist
>Reach out to Ubo and tell him what's going on and ask if he wants to be there to help his fellow Kryptonian out for this

Kicking the can down the road is a great way to end up with a much larger problem on our doorstep.
If we can repel another advance from Darkseid and make a not-so-subtle show of force to the Justice League, I say we go for it.

“Karn, what's going on?” Meloka asks, you turning to face her.
“Trouble with Ubo's fellow Kryptonian.” you tell her, then reach out telepathically to Ubo. “Ubo, can you hear me? Ubo?”

But nothing happens. You don't connect to anyone, a moment later Raven reaching out to you.

“I haven't been able to reach him ever since he got into his homeworld's star system.” she thinks to you, worry in her tone. “Its like he's just...Gone.”
“Don't worry, I'll get him.” you answer her, then refocus your mind. If you can't reach him telepathically, then you'll just have to find him by his overwhelming ki. So, you focus everything into your ki sense, your reach stretching all the way out to the Kryptonian's world, you sensing everyone from King Cold and Freeza to Superman's strength, but don't feel Ubo's overwhelming power anywhere. You mutter to yourself, searching out for the feel of his energy and not the overwhelming amount of it. Perhaps he's been in some battle of his own, exhausting himself. “Dammit Ubo, where are you?”

It takes you several moments, but then you feel it. You sense a whisper of his strength, it several millions if not billions of times weaker than his power ever was. Which immediately worries you, you focusing entirely on his energy and teleporting right to his side. You appear near a man, but he couldn't be Ubo. This man next to you isn't Ubo, his frame and musculature are all wrong. The man standing with his back to you is too thin to be Ubo, his strength nothing close to the man you knew. Something's wrong.

“Who're you?” you ask the figure, it turning around. But it is in fact Ubo, his face looking drawn and haggard as he looks at you, not recognizing you for a couple seconds. “Ubo?”
“Who.... Karn? Is it really you?” he asks, even his voice lacking its usual booming quality. “No, not real. Another hallucination. Have to get back, have to destroy the mind distuptor before it's too late.”
“Ubo, its me.” you say, reaching out and carefully grabbing him by the shoulder. As he is now, even Chilli's wife Megumin could break him in half, so you're forced to be careful. “It's really me, its Karn. What happened?”
“You...You're really real.” he says in disbelief, reaching up with his gaunt fingers and touching your face. “You found me. I thought I was going to die here.”

“What happened to you?” you ask him, brows furrowed in concern. “How did you end up like this?”
“Red sun. Wrong solar radiation, doesn't restore my strength but saps it.” he says, sounding just as disoriented as his body seems weakened. “Without a yellow star, my powers won't work. I couldn't even use telepathy once I'd entered the Red Star of Krypton's range, much less my other powers. But now that you're here, we can go! You can take me back under a yellow star, and my powers will quickly return!”

“How long?” you ask him, Ubo's expression immediately darkening.
“What?” he asks, tone shifting. “What do you mean?”
“How long will it take?” you ask him again. “Because your fellow Kryptonian is about to be under attack.”
“I don't know. But we need to leave, now.” he tells you, clenching his fists as he tries to stand fully upright. However, the effort is too much for him, Ubo collapsing. You catch him, and worried about his condition immediately telepathically reach back out to Arctus again. But you get nothing. “The sooner I get under a yellow star's light, the sooner my strength will start to return.”

“I'm trying. But I can't reach out to Arctus telepathically either.” you tell him, Ubo's eyes going wide with fear. You then reach out with your ki sense, which fortunately DOES work like usual and find the other Kryptonian's power. Then, without hesitation raise your right to your forehead, focusing on his strength, and use your Instant Transmission once more. One second you're on Ubo and Superman's homeworld, the next find yourself out on a street at night, kneeling beside Superman, the dark-cloaked Batman, and the woman warrior with her shield and sword. Surrounded by dozens of the bodies of Darkseid's minions.

“General Karn.” Batman says, rising up to his feet and turning to you. “You sure picked one hell of a time to show up.”
“Ubo!” Superman says, immediately disregarding the battle going on and turning to his fellow Kryptonian. “What happened to him?”
“Get him out to the nearest star, he needs to recharge his powers immediately.” you tell the Kryptonian. Who, takes his fellow in his arms before turning to you, looking worried. “Don't worry, we can handle things until you get back.”

He looks from you to Ubo, then back and nods before launching himself straight into the sky. In less than a second he's gone, power leaving the planet as he flies around towards the star of this system.

“What the hell, where is he-Oh, it's you.” the red-suited man says, his crimson blur coming to a stop by you all. “General Karn. You wouldn't happen to know what the hell is going on, would you?”

“You're being invaded by some sort of dark god, calls himself Darkseid.” you tell the trio as more of the planet's strongest warriors gather around. None are quite as powerful as Superman or the warrior woman with the shield, but most are strong enough to handle perhaps a dozen of the invading monsters as you remember them. “He's one tough bastard, I barely bested him the last time we fought. I only came out on top because he was arrogant and underestimated me and I got lucky, a mistake he won't make twice.”

“So, you have beaten him before.” Batman says, walking up to you “Good to have you with us, then. So, General: what's the plan? You are staying to help us, aren't you?”

Well?

In what way? He may have told us off for our actions at one point, but that had more to do with his assumption that we were going to execute him on Cold's behalf.

“Hold on, let me check real quick.” you say, then reach out to your emperor and friend Freeza. “Hey, Lord Freeza. Want to fight side-by-side?”
“General Karn? What are you doing so far out.... Ah, I see. So, the Kryptonians are in danger once more?” he replies, having no doubt sensed everything happening. “Hmmm. Very well, the matters I'm currently attending can wait. One moment.”

“Good news, I got backup.” you say as Freeza disconnects from the telepathic call. And before you can say anything else, he appears. You sense his ki an instant before it appears, Lord Freeza using the Yardratian Instant Transmission to teleport from wherever he was to standing right beside you. “Allow me to introduce you all to Lord Freeza, emperor of the universe.”
“Greetings, beings of planet Ee-arth.” Freeza says, spreading his arms as he steps forward in his fourth form. Everyone is instantly on edge, most backing up as he steps. Everyone except for the warrior woman and the Batman, both of whom stand their ground. “As General Karn said, I am Lord Freeza. And as your emperor, it would be my pleasure to aid in the defense of this world.”

“So, you're Lord Freeza? I thought you'd be taller.” Batman says, Freeza turning his gaze towards him.
“Hmmm, for a Kryptonian, you are rather weak.” he says, then looks around before his eyes fix on another. “No, you're not him. However, I was led to believe the Kryptonian on this world was a man, not you.”

You follow his gaze, seeing a woman wearing a uniform similar to Superman's, with the S on her chest and all.

“And I thought the so-called 'ruler of the universe' would be stronger than their top general. Or do you simply rule through fear by controlling his leash?” she asks, putting her hands on her hips as she looks down at him. To which Freeza simply smiles, the atmosphere changing as the two stare each other down.
“No, I rule through fear because my general is still orders of magnitude weaker than myself.” he says, taking his fighting stance with his arms low and spread, inviting her to attack. “If you would prefer to have a proverbial powerlevel phallus-measuring contest, then I would invite the challenge. But your world has far more urgent issues at hand.”

And as if to emphasize his point, there's an explosion from somewhere behind you. Just because you arrived doesn't mean the rest of the battle just stopped. This planet is well under siege, reminding you of the Siege of New Salda. Except without spaceships to shoot down, you sense just millions of the creatures pouring through the portals in various places across the planet.

“He's right, and more importantly we need all the help we can get. These portals are opening up all over the damn place.” Batman says as you sense another pair of powerlevels appear behind you, both quite familiar.
“They're called Boom Tubes. They are how Darkseid is able to bring his forces from his dimension into our own.” Arctus says, you turning to see him standing with Broly as your son lowers his hand from his forehead, already in Primal as Arctus is in his strongest form as well. You also see Arctus holding the remains of one of the boxes, no doubt from the invasion on his world. “You no doubt saw these boxes popping up all over the place as his minions set them up, preparing for this fight. Next up will be the towers, and then-”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3ymcKqmJxc

But before Arctus can continue speaking, the entire planet begins trembling. Towers of red and black start rising up and out of the ground, each one firing beams of white light up into the air. The monsters flying around in the air all take off towards the nearby sea as another rises up out of the waves, the monsters circling it.

“Darkseid arrives.” Arctus says, you, Freeza, and everyone else turning as the top of the much-larger tower rising from the waves opens. Crimson light starts radiating out of it, as a massive, familiar form rises from the tower. He stands perfectly still as he starts flying over towards you all, his monsters forming an honor guard of sorts around him. “Shit.”
“Why are they harvesting people?” Batman asks him, Arctus turning his gaze from the extra-dimensional deity to address him.
“He turns people he kidnaps into those creatures, his parademons.” Arctus replies. “There is no saving them once they're turned. The only thing we can do for them is putting them out of their misery.”

“I am Entropy. I am Death. I. AM. DARKSEID.” the god says, Freeza stepping forward out in front of you all.
“I am the great Lord Freeza, ruler of this universe. And this planet belongs to me.” Freeza declares, aura blazing golden up around him as he starts to transform. “And before this day is done, you will kneel before me!”

And in a flash of blinding golden light, Freeza transforms into his Golden form. As the light fades, you can see that he's lifted up into the air, staring eye to eye with the extra-dimensional dark deity. This is going to be one hell of a battle.

And that's it for episode 198, everyone enjoy this one? Are you ready for Freeza vs Darkseid? Do you think he's strong enough to withstand the New God, or will even he need help? >>
>>5690913
My only worry is that Darkseid brought a friend, wittingly or otherwise. If it's just him and his Generals, we'll be back home before dinner.
That said, depending on how things go, it might not be a bad idea to take another day trip around Ee-arth.
I imagine there's going to be plenty of places where a strong pair of hands could help after this. It'd be a very easy way to ingratiate ourselves with the locals provided we don't do something stupid like vaporize a city center beforehand.
>>
>>5690933
I almost want to help Freeza out with his stuff, since we basically called him to drop everything he was doing to come help us.
I still want to believe we can change him for the better.
>>
>>5690933
That would imply he HAS friends. But he may have brought allies.
Depends on how well the damage is mitigated. And after the battle ends, I believe Ubo would have plenty to tell Clark of their homeworld.

Question's going to have another field day with this one. I can already imagine his thought process.
The interloper arrives again, with their old kryptonian friend in a weakened state. Seems to have sent him with Superman towards the nearest star, which would not only allow the weak one to recover, but might just temporarily juice up Superman with the proximity. Seemed like he knew the invasion would happen based on what he said, but how? Was getting the kryptonians out of the way a calculated move, or one that was spur of the moment? An apparent past encounter with Darkseid is new information, time to do a little more digging on that connection. The arrival of an emperor is a surprise, but if he is who he says he is then it should be easy to find background information on him from intergalactic sources. Didn't expect the arrival of another member of the emperor's species though...and that big furry guy is a surprise.

Okay, as of now there will be no episode this weekend the 24th/25th. As of now, episode 199 will begin the first day of July at noon EST, usual time. As of right now, aiming for two Epilogues, one this Thursday and one next Thursday. In the meantime, does anyone know a good mecha artist? Because trying to find someone to draw Golden Armor Triumph Requiem Caulifla is proving quite difficult.

Question is freaking out at Freeza’s arrival and the implications, even worse knowing that the fuzzy one taller and looking more intimidating than Karn is actually his son.
Batman, however is the one suspicious of Karn’s arrival with Ubo, sending him and Clark to the sun. Then having Freeza arrival to fight this monster, one who Karn claims he only beat with luck at the same time seems much more… Artificial. As if Freeza and Darkseid are all on the same side, a ‘show of force’ to get them to kneel. The “this is MY world” schtick didn’t go unnoticed by the caped crusader.

Good stuff, but don’t see any mention of comms work.

Yes. Especially with aliens at LEAST on par with Clark.
>>5691937
The justice league nor earth’s governments have signed any agreements, as far as they’re concerned they are still independent.
And yes, although he has a pretty good idea of Freeza’s public persona now.
>>5691943
Since you remembered, yes. Might spoil a bit of episofr 199, but Arctus found and acquired it.

>And only just recently started intercepting and pirating Dreadzone wavellengths to start trying to understand the wider universe through a, let's just say less-than-impartial news network.
Oh....so he's gonna check out Chaya's livestream chat logs? Oh.....oh dear....at least the Covie War is somewhat of a serious documentary? He cant complain about the Hive War, once he sees those fuckers he'll....probably have more questions....hmmm, if he ever meets Kazuma the shit he will learn will be....concerning.

What the fuck is Arctus going to do with the Motherbox?

Batman meeting Kazuma would be trouble. But Question, after seeing the Hive War footage will put dozens upon dozens of pieces he couldn’t fit together into place.

He has been…Learning.
>>5692588
Pic related, drives a car with no plates, hides his face and real hair color, and is the only DC human who is a better detective than Batman. To quote the bat, he’s “wound too tight.” Also a real conspiracy guy, one of the few who knows that the Girl Scouts are the ones behind crop circles and that a secret society has been in contact with alien, possibly extradimensional beings since the dawn of civilization. Guiding, no. Steering humanity towards… well something. But seeing cheesy movie monsters are real, well. That opens all sorts of doors, doesn’t it? Learning the aliens are real, he’d have questions for O’Bannon and Shusett on how they knew of the creatures’ existence.
>>5692602
He was willing, knowing of the Justice Lords timeline, to assassinate Luthor himself to prevent armageddon. After all, a “well known crackpot” committing a murder would be far easier for the justice league to disavow and publicly shame than Superman.

Why do I get the feeling that the Justice Lords timeline only exists for a certain somebody to call upon them to 'get rid of the worst criminals in the timeline' when a certain time comes?
>>
>>5692711
IF he even exists. After all, the entire universe would have to be reset first.
>>
>>5692962
Oh, not Funny, no.
Someone else that enjoys pink and has a penchant for manipulating people into thinking they’re doing the right thing.
>>
>>5693106
I didn’t figure you meant him by the context, but decided to clarify anyways. After all, the patrons know which Stand is a hard counter to part 6’s final boss. But the only Justice Lord that’s a threat is Clark.
>>
>>5693144
I wouldn’t say only. Justice lords martian manhunter could bypass almost all defenses and directly attack internal organs if he wanted to. Green Lantern is as deadly as anyone with a power ring and the will to use its deadlier capabilities. Unfortunately, Hawk Girl will always be useless no matter the timeline…very sad!
Honestly MM is the one that pisses me off the most though. He drops his guard in every single fight and never learns from it.
>>
>>5693214
If he wasn't always dropping his guard he'd be a threat, but we all know how he end up every time. Green Lanter's will is strong, but not enough to truly challenge Karn's own.
>>
>>5693260
I guess it goes to show that J'onn, for all his natural talents, isn't a warrior.
Nothing to be ashamed of, but as a protector he'd do well to correct those deficiencies.
>>
>>5693260
>>5693265
What IS to be ashamed of is the fact that whenever his psychic abilities would be remotely useful, he conveniently has them freak out on him for the duration of the crisis.
Or trying to infiltrate a group, selling the ruse, and then IMMEDIATELY having an unexplained headache that breaks his transformation in front of them. Why does it happen so fucking often, man?
For Earth’s strongest psychic, his psychic powers sure suck dick and hurt him more than they help. Doesn’t even use them to predict his opponent’s moves adequately, still gets rocked every time…
>>
>>5693265
Yes. He has no instincts for fighting effectively with his own powers, much less so when tryin to counter someone else’s.
>>5693278
To be completely fair, psychic abilities require intense focus for even simple tasks. And in high-pressure, adrenaline(or whatever chemical Martians have instead)-pumping moments, that sort of focus is nigh-impossible. Hell, Buu arc Goku couldn’t focus enough for Instant Transmission when earth was about to be destroyed, and he could do that WHILE ALSO putting all his energy into one attack seven years of intense training ago.
>>
>>5693310
If we’re talking about fairness, one time his powers pulled a tetsuo for no discernible reason in a non-stressful environment, causing him to hear the thoughts of everyone in the city and fuck off to the wilderness to escape it. They never explain why. It just happened because if they introduced him earlier in the Amazo episode he would have fixed things too quickly.
>>
>>5693356
>for no reason
For two reasons. One more meta, but the other more realistic, and far more frightening. Meta reason is for story to happen. But, if you consider what he became, what Amazo had ascended into, is that really a good answer? Or did he ENSURE his own creation? After all, Amazo had become omnipotent. Whose to say he didn’t go back in time at some point and, with J’onn’s copied powers and understanding of how they work, overwhelm his defenses in an instant? Ensuring his own proper progression into the god he’d become?
>>
>>5693377
>It was me, J’onn. I had to ensure my own existence, so I manipulated every event in this timeline that lead up to my own birth. Your family’s death, your arrival on earth, your struggles and victories. All of it was me. You were the most important catalyst for what I would become, J’onn.
You know, I kind of wonder how shit goes further down the Justice Lords timeline. Amazo DOES come back eventually. And then there’s a whole bunch of other shit they may not be ready for without the flash.
Hell, I wonder what it’s like by the time of Batman Beyond.
>>
>>5693388
A lot of problems aren’t problems when Superman doesn’t hold back. His restraint is what leads to conflict several times
>>
Kazuma’s about to entice Chilli on another mission, one to the deepest depths of a dungeon even larger than the Great Tomb of Nazarick. This epilogue’s just the starter for next week’s part 2.
>>
>>5693607
is amazo stronger than Karn right now? Will cell try to absorb amazo one day?
>>
>>5693832
It better not be the tomb of horrors
>>
>>5693840
I wouldn't be surprised is Amazo was able to comfortably beat Karn's ass by now barring DDF shenanigans.
There's just some fights we can't win
>>
>>5693840
Depends on the powers he has, and what weaknesses he’s taken. But 80+% of the time Karn can’t beat Amazo post first Justice League encounter in a fight.
>>5693876
No no, this is a dungeon canon to Konosuba. One that’s actually TWICE the size of Nazarick, and currently unconquered.
>>5693891
Yes. Between Green Lantern, Hawkgirl’s alien mace’s metal, Superman and Wonder Woman’s powers, he’s a threat. But even more so once he attained his own golden state.
>>
>>5693918
Amazo copies Karn. Does he get a Bane in his head?
>>
>>5693918
>But even more so once he attained his own golden state.
Son of a bitch, is that how he does it? He goes toe to toe with his Emperor?
>>
>>5693976
It could be worse. AMAZO could end up copying Captain Ginbuu, Guldo, KARS, or Boros. Although it remains to be seen if Buu's body qualifies as a being of Chaos, which if it does means that Amazo is actually amazingly weak to it. For that matter, I wonder if it could copy Aku or not...
Regardless, if he shows up, Chilli is a pretty hard counter to him. Amazo REALLY sucks against chaos magic. Can't even adapt to not suck against it due to the magic's nature being directly contradictory with his own.
>>
>>5693966
No, as Bane isn’t one of Karn’s powers/abilities.
>>5693976
Possibly.
>>5694005
Yes, if Chilli hits him with Chaos Space, Amazo’s DONE. Being trapped on a Chaos plane would ruin him as he couldn’t escape it on his own.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 198 Epilogue I-

AGE 756, CRIMSON DEMON VILLAGE

“Well, it's about time.” you say aloud, ending the telepathic communication with your older brother. “He finally asked.”
“Oh, good. Do they have a day set yet?” your wife asks, the two of you walking down the street, each of you holding one of your daughter's hands. She skips along between the two of you, humming the little tune of “Bakarettsu bakarettsu, la la la.” But as you and your wife talk, she looks curiously back and forth between you. “Or is it still too soon?”

“Caulifla said it just happened this morning.” you tell her, the two of you making it the rest of the way down the mountain down to the village you watch over. You are Chilli: husband, father, son, Reaper, Super Saiyan, Archwizard, and most recently god slayer.
“They'll make a good couple. I'm sure she'll make your brother happy.” your wife says with a smile, but then as she looks back forward her expression changes. You follow her gaze, then see her longtime friend Yunyun walking around. Who sees you all a second later, running up towards you all.
“MEGUMIN!” she shouts, running towards you all and waving her arms. “There you guys are, I've been looking for you!”

“And you didn't think to try our house first?” your wife asks her deadpan, to which your daughter giggles at the expression on Yunyun's face. “So, what're you doing here? I thought you all were following Kazuma to Elroad, where he was going to 'make it big' in casino city?”
“Oh yeah, but we got thrown out.” she says, sounding a little upset. “He kept winning so much they threw him out. And none of the others would let him in, so we had to come back.”
“He really was that successful?” Megumin asks, you turning to her curiously. She sees you looking, and adds more detail. “Elroad's casinos won't let anyone make too much money. The point of gambling is for the casino to take everyone's money, not for the patrons to take their cash.”

“Daddy, what's a casino?” your daughter asks, you looking down to her. But, after a second's thought, realize that you don't know.
“I, uhhh. What IS a casino?” you ask the two, the Crimson Demon women sharing a confused look.
“What is a casino? Only a place for the lucky to make it big, while the majority of the visitors get fleeced.” a young man's voice calls out, you all turning to see Kazuma walking up with his other two companions, the blonde tank of a woman and the idiot goddess. “And where a man like me can get rich quick. Long time no see, Chilli.”

“Kazuma. Is that all you do, get rich quick schemes?” you ask him with a teasing smirk, offering him your right hand. Which he takes, the two of you shaking. “Find any good skills to take lately?”
“Oh, I found more than that. I found some information that you might want as well.” he says with a look, one that just spells trouble. “While in the city, I found out the location of the world's largest dungeon. One that's never been conquered.”

“Never conquered?” you ask, surprised. You'd thought every dungeon on this world was beaten at least once. “Are you sure?”
“Of course, Wiz and Vanir confirmed it too.” he says, you wondering how that airheaded lich would know anything. Without that archdevil Vanir, she wouldn't even be able to keep a simple magic item shop open. “And, even better, she took me there. So, now I have a teleport spot set at level one of the world's most dangerous dungeon.”

“And now you're wanting me to help you out, buying some of my dragon bone weapons as well as my Crystal Barriers for taking it on?” you ask him, thinking you know where he's going with this. But then he completely surprises you, shaking his head.
“No no, well, I mean that wouldn't hurt. After all, personal safety is very important. And your stuff's top quality.” he says to you, then shakes his head. “What I'm really wanting is to hire you.”
“Hire me?” you ask him, confused. “For what?”

“Isn't it obvious? I want you to come with us.” he says, gesturing to his party. “We're pretty strong, but on our own there's no way we could take this dungeon on our own. Even working with the other parties we know, there's no way we could take it down. Not if what Wiz said about it is true.”
“What did she have to say about it?” Megumin asks, who does value Wiz's knowledge as another archwizard. Which, and you don't know how, but she does have Lord Jergal's blessing as a Lich to continue existing instead of being put to her eternal rest.
“She uses the dungeon on occasion to stock up on rare resources, ingredients for potions from monsters that are rare elsewhere.” he says. “But she's never ventured down below floor twelve before.”

“Floor twelve?” you shout, shocked. Even Ainz's Great Tomb of Nazarick, a dungeon from his world he and his people conquered years ago was only ten floors. For this dungeon to be at LEAST twelve is shocking, who knows what sorts of monsters lurk below. “How many floors does it have?”
“I heard reports of a team of legendary adventurers that made it as deep as floor thirteen, once.” he says, you feeling your jaw drop a bit. “They tried to map the entirety of the dungeon years ago but were forced out before ever reaching whatever boss lurks below. And, on top of that it took them two months working slowly to get that deep, and another month to fight their way back out.”

>>5694025
“So cool.” your daughter says as you feel quite overwhelmed. Sure, you could probably clear it out far faster than a group of this world's fighters, even higher-level dragons aren't much of a threat to you personally. Hell, yesterday your daughter even killed one that you'd injured and incapacitated, your wife having asked that you start helping her level up so she could get a head start on the other children who would be going to school here in the village. She'd explained how the elders would subdue monsters for the children to kill, as only the ones who deal the final blow are the ones whose Adventurer Cards gain the experience from the monster kills. She'd told you both one evening, as you'd all lay in bed about her own school experience here in the Crimson Demon Village, you marveling at how different your childhoods were. “Can I come too?”

“Sorry kiddo, but absolutely not.” you tell her, Meloka Wolbach pouting and crossing her arms. To which you kneel down, placing your hand on her head and ruffling her hair affectionately. “But I'll find you something interesting inside and bring it back, just for you okay?”
“Okay!” she replies with a smile, leaping forward and hugging you around the neck. “You're the best Daddy!”
“Are you sure hun?” Megumin asks.
“Of course, I'll be fine.” you reply, looking up to her with a smile. “And if I can't handle it, you know I can retreat back home whenever I need to.”
“Excellent. Then we'll need to discuss-” Kazuma starts, you holding up a hand before turning from him back to your daughter, placing your hands on her shoulders and addressing her seriously.

“I have an important job for you kiddo. Can you run ahead to Mamaw and Pop-pop's house and let them know we'll be bringing some more company?” you ask her, your daughter's eyes sparkling as you ask her this, your daughter clearly excited to be useful and important.
“I will!” she says, mirroring the salute she's seen you and your father do before running off, arms back behind her as she sprints. In just a second she's already gone from sight, you turning from the cloud of dust to see Kazuma and his group's jaws all dropped in shock.

“You know, sometimes I forget just how different Saiyans are from us humans.” Kazuma says, sounding a bit surprised before he shakes his head, turning his attention back to you. “But I'll accept your offer of hospitality, let's discuss the finer details of this mission over a meal.”

And as you lead Kazuma's party towards Megumin's parents' home, you can't help but feel a slight sense of foreboding. Something about this dungeon has you curious, but you can't shake the feeling that there's more to this mystery dungeon than anyone knows. And you're curious to find out what that is.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 198 Epilogue I End-
>>
>>5694026
I have to wonder what goes into creating a dungeon anyways. I know we're already set with Planet Tatsu, but I think some areas with magical beasts would be great training for the more advanced Saiyan combatants.
>>
>>5694026
How many titles would Karn have if he introduced himself the way chili does?
>>
>>5694032
Lots of excavation, construction, and on Chilli's world filling the air with Arcana. Not mana, but arcana. Which is subtly different, a magical source that empowers monsters. If enough is gathered, tears to the Demon Realm can occur.
>>5694055
Surprisingly around the same, were he to break it down. Husband, father, grandfather, Super Saiyan, Dragon of New Salda, General, godslayer, just to name a few.
>>
>>5694026
Dawwww, our grandbaby is already up for adventuring
>>
>>5694056
Has anyone on spacechan's Chilli fan forums try to make a chilli esc title list for his family members? How autistically detailed do they get?
>>
>>5694026
AND OUR GRANDBABY NARUTO RUNS, a little Dragonball story set around her would be a treat.
>>
>>5694056
So what your saying is Debura can rip a few holes on our hellplanet to make magic happen?
>>
>>5694086
Yeah but dabura is probably still pissed we killstealed bobidi and only brought part of the body back.
>>
>>5694086
If I'm being honest Anon, it sounds stupid easy for a guy like Dabura to open up the Demon Realm to the mortal plane. Even that no-name Shula did it in OG Dragonball. But the real question is WOULD Dabura open up the Demon Realm, and the answer is a definite no, so I wouldn't worry about him trying that.
>>
>>5694104
No no no, I mean on purpose, like some Forgotten Realms shit.
>>5694102
He got Babidi's soul, and the rest of his body....at least i think we sent that too him.
>>
>>5694082
The spirit is willing, but she’s nowhere near ready. Even WITH Super Saiyan, Chilli’s not taking her anywhere remotely dangerous willingly.
>>5694083
Yes.
>how autis-
Yes.
>>5694085
One day.
>>5694086
Can? Yes. Will? Absolutely not. Even with the power of certain deities waning, he won’t try it. After all, his responsibility as King is to keep his kind in their realm.
>>5694102
No, he’s not mad about that anymore as he has the wizard’s immortal soul to torture at his leisure. Not quite as fun as torturing a body, but there’s much less mess
>>5694104
Oh yeah, he could do so. But not only does that bring the gods wrath down upon his empire, but also allows mortals IN. Last time a portal to hell was opened that he was aware of, his free will was almost stolen and the demon second only to him(and rival) Trigon was KILLED. Mortals are dangerous.
>>
>>5694173
Does Tatsu Senior ever get a chance to speak with Dabura? Or is he under orders to hand the stray demons to the Oni under Yemma as opposed to dropping them off himself?
>>
>>5694173
Speaking of mortals in the demon realm, who's angrier, the berserker out of time and space or Doomguy?
>>
>>5694173
>The spirit is willing, but she’s nowhere near ready. Even WITH Super Saiyan, Chilli’s not taking her anywhere remotely dangerous willingly.
This is Konasuba, and she is his daughter, she's gonna go do dangerous things anyways, his best bet is take her somewhere slightly above her level and just let her have at it.
>Yes.
>how autis-
>Yes.
Chilli fans best fans, how many went on the path of the Swole Mage?
>Even with the power of certain deities waning, he won’t try it. After all, his responsibility as King is to keep his kind in their realm.

Karn hasn’t, or at least didn’t recognize him if he did. Adult Chilli met his future counterpart once, warning of the consequences of betraying Jergal to save his wife.

Basically.

I think it was somewhere in the 80s, pre-100. But I’m not certain

Has Broly considered learning Djem-So to compliment his natural talents? If he's trying to emulate Karn, it seems like the natural thing to do.
>>
>>5698965
Oh yeah i remember punished chilli, i still wish he actually spent a bit of time to talk to karn, since karn would actually make his life better via DDF wish, and promptly proceed to continue massively piss off the time patrol.

He tried it, but almost immediately backed off of it. He can't maintain his calm while using that style.

Who says he hasn't tried?

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 198 Epilogue II-

AGE 756, CHILLI'S PLANET

“GWRRROOOOOAAAAAR!!” comes another earth-shaking roar, the entire dim dungeon tunnel trembling as another massive scaled beast rounds a corner into view.
“Dammit, another dragon? That's three this floor alone!” you shout, but before you can do anything more the strongest man in the world leaps forward without hesitation into action. As the beast belches forth a column of fire, one that would roast you and your entire party easily, the Saiyan man only a few years younger than yourself protects you all by creating a wall of faintly-glowing crystals, his magic stopping the fires short. But the heat still bleeds through, forcing you all to back up and away from the heat. Even his wall can't take the pressure for long, the crystals cracking from the focused heat. “Think you can subdue this one without killing it?”

“Do you have any Barriers left?” he asks through gritted teeth, adding more magic to thicken the wall holding back the fires. You check your pockets then your loot sack and find that you have one left, and with a thought and the last of your mana activate one of your more useful skills.
“Duplicate.” you say, creating an identical bottle in your empty right hand to match the one in your left before calling back to him. “Ready!”
“Activate it now!” he orders, and without hesitation throw the newly-created bottle down on the ground. It shatters easily against the stones, the Saiyan's own prepared magic activating. Within a second a sphere of more of his crystals spring up around you and the rest of your party, leaving you all hopefully safe.

“When you said this would be the most dangerous dungeon we've ever seen, I gotta admit I didn't believe you.” Aqua says, the lazy blue-haired goddess collapsing on the ground while outside the shield Chilli places both hands on his wall, then the entire thing is sent rocketing down the hallway through the fire at the dragon. It soars down as if on wheels, slamming into the dragon and shattering. Then, in that moment the dragon is stunned, Chilli surges forward, golden aura blazing. You watch as he draws back his right fist, hesitates a moment as if gauging the dragon's toughness before swinging. And with a single punch rocks the dragon, its head slamming into the stone wall before it drops limply to the ground. He then lands down beside it, placing a hand on its neck before turning to you all. And with a gesture he destroys the sphere around you all, it turning to motes of light for a moment before vanishing entirely.

“It's still alive, but I'm not sure how long that punch will keep it stunned.” Chilli calls out to you all. “Hurry down here and hit it with your Drain Touch, Kazuma, before it wakes up.”

“R-Right!” you say, running forward. You are Kazuma, neet-turned-adventurer with a rather unique skill set among this planet's inhabitants. With your class being the weakest, one without any inherent skills of its own, you instead are able to learn ANY class's skills. And with your wish on the Namekian dragon Porunga giving you nearly limitless skill points, your kit has expanded beyond anything you'd ever thought possible outside those terribly-written wish-fulfillment isekai manga from your homeworld. “Aqua, come on!”

“Why do I have to keep doing this? I don't like the feeling of Arcane, it feels disgusting!” the water goddess complains, you stopping to turn back and physically drag her over to the dragon. Being a goddess, her body can convert the arcane-tainted mana of this place to pure mana, which has allowed your group to keep pressing on long past your normal limits. Normally, exploring a dungeon such as this, a party would stock up on food, water, and Barrier Stones or Chilli's own Crystal Barrier potions, each of which can protect a party long enough for a recuperating rest even in monster-infested dungeons.

“Quit complaining and get over here.” you say, dragging her along over to the unconscious beast and slapping your hand onto it. “Drain Touch.”

And you activate the special ability you'd learned from the lich Wiz back in Axel, draining the dragon's mana and absorbing it. You draw the beast's power into you, pulling the tainted mana from the creature through you and into Aqua. Whose divine body will purify the arcane-corrupted magical essence. It only takes you maybe thirty seconds to empty the dragon, Chilli then ending its life with a crystal spike through the head. The beast doesn't let out a roar when it dies, only a sigh as the beast's last breath leaves its body.

“Alright, Chilli you're first.” you say, still holding onto Aqua and reaching out to him. He takes your hand, you pouring that now-purified mana into him. For several seconds you let that flow of pure mana fill him, stopping only once you can sense that he's been topped back off. “Now Yunyun, your turn.”
“R-Right!” she says, the Saiyan letting go and walking towards the corner the beast had emerged from. You refill her mana as well, although it takes several seconds longer for her than Chilli as her mana pool is the largest of your party. Or, rather, second largest. As the useless goddess has a seemingly-bottomless well of mana. You restore Yunyun's mana, then look to your team's tank and attack sponge, Darkness. Who shakes her head, meaning she doesn't need any. But she does need healing, as you see fresh blood running down the side of her head.

“Hey, good news.” Chilli says, coming back around the corner. “The stairs down to the next floor are right here.”
“That's great!” Yunyun exclaims. “That means we've now cleared thirteen entire floors!”
“We are making great progress.” you reply, turning to Chilli. “I was right to pay for your services, we'd have taken weeks to get this far in.”
“It has been... Unexpectedly difficult.” the younger man replies, taking a moment to wipe the sweat from his brow with his left sleeve. “This dungeon could be a great place to train. Especially since these monsters seem to repopulate themselves.”

“WHAT?!” Aqua shouts, turning from the now wholly-healed Darkness in her battered, cracked armor to Chilli. “What do you mean, they're repopulating?”
“There are still just as many unique ki signatures in this place as there were before, when we first entered this floor.” Chilli says, which you don't doubt in the slightest. “There aren't any more dragons, at least not yet. But are you all good to head down to the next one, or should we take a rest here?”

“Let's keep going!” Darkness says immediately, and if you didn't know her she'd appear to be the perfect example of knightly valor. But you know that she's ENJOYING getting beaten up by the powerful monsters down here, the crazy masochist. You know that her body is at the very least as hard as her Adamantite breastplate, but the fact she's still standing despite it being shattered and barely hanging together tells you which truly is more durable. “Come on, I want to see what's next!”
“Can't we take a break? My feet are really starting to hurt.” Aqua complains, as she does. But you turn to Yunyun, who nods to you that she's ready to keep going.

“We'll keep pushing onward.” you say, Aqua groaning at the news. But she keeps pace with everyone, not wanting to be left behind as you all start walking around the corner. And just as he said there are indeed stairs down to the next level, you letting Chilli and Darkness lead the way. But as you all approach the stairs, you get an ominous feeling. “Carefully. I've got a bad feeling about this next one.”

Without another word you all start descending down the stairs, you feeling the atmosphere start changing the instant you step on it. With each step the air becomes a bit thicker with Arcane, the tainted mana flowing throughout this place darkening. But about halfway down Chilli freezes, stopping in his tracks and letting out a gasp.

“Th-This energy! I-It CAN'T be!” he exclaims, before suddenly blasting down the stairwell in a flash of golden light. One moment he's there, the next he's just gone, the shock wave of his explosion of movement knocking you all down. And, fortunately for you, you don't land on the hard stairs but something rather soft instead.

“What the hell? Hey, get back here!” Aqua calls out, angrily surging back up to her feet while you leave your face sitting in heaven a moment longer.
“A-Are you okay?” Yunyun asks, you taking one last deep breath of the sweet smell of Yunyun's chest before pushing yourself off of her, offering her your hand up. Which she graciously accepts, face blushed. “Th-Thanks.”
“Wonder what that was about?” Darkness asks, looking from the bottom of the stairs back to you. “Can't you sense anything?”

“No, or at least nothing out of the ordinary for this place.” you reply, shaking your head. “I don't know what he took off after, but he's stopped now. Let's find out why.”
“Are you sure? What if we run into another dragon?” Aqua asks, her voice trembling in worry.
“Don't worry, there's a wide path monster-free leading us to him, thanks to Chilli.” you tell her, taking several quick steps down the stairs. “Come on, we'd better hurry.”

“Right!” the three women agree, you all moving out in formation. Darkness leads, following your directions from the back of the pack beside Yunyun, Aqua in the middle as you all head down deeper into this floor. But within ten feet of the bottom of the stairs, the chaos from his charge starts to unfold. A solid stone wall is smashed through, blood and bits of formerly living things spattered across the walls and floor.
“Damn.” Darkness murmurs, looking at the carnage. But you don't stop, ignoring it all and focusing on Chilli's ki, rushing towards him. “H-Hey!”

“C'mon, let's move quick.” you tell them, picking up the pace. Everyone rushes to keep up with you, you rushing through the broken walls and gore-splattered halls as you close in on Chilli's energy. His golden glow illuminates a room up ahead, you all moving towards it. But once you all enter the room, the scene before you makes no sense. Monster parts are splattered across this room as well, but Chilli isn't alone. Another being is sitting there atop a bloated corpse, a heavily scarred old man with one good eye, arm, and leg.

“I-It really is you.” Chilli says, dropping his two crystal swords as he stares at the man in shock, taking an unconscious step forward. “Grandpa.”
“Look at you, all grown up.” the old man says with a smile as you notice a hint of a tear in his good eye reflecting the light of his softly glowing halo overhead. As you do, realization dawns as you remember who this old man is. “You've grown into quite a fine warrior, Chilli.”

No, he's got a handle on his anger quite well. But he hates REVELING in his anger, he hates attacking someone and feeling good in his anger.
Arcana is a demonic source of magical energy used to fuel monsters. This dungeon is full of it thanks to the boss down at floor 20.
>>5699166
Was so hard not to spoil early, but yes that is actually him and not any trick.
>>5699167
This dungeon is full of demons on the lower levels thanks to the high levels of Arcana. It weakens the boundary between realms, allowing some creatures to slip through. Including beings from the demon realm who are on a first-name basis with the ARCHDEVIL Vanir himself.

If the boundary between realms is weakened, I think a number of Arch-vViles might be contributing towards the seemingly non-existent decline in the monster population of this dungeon.
That said, Aqua would have been able to sense demonic necromancy of that type, right?
