NeckBiterQuest is the story of Blanc Toile, a downtrodden young adult who takes his life, only to find that death isn’t the end for everyone. Can this young man with a new lease on (un)life find his way in the world of vampires, werewolves, and ghosts that hides in the darkness of a seemingly normal city? Feel free to suggest names for people and places, I’m not a big fan of voting for that stuff, but will try to include suggestions if I like them.Updates roughly 2-3 times a day, but will inform you all when/if this changesFor updates and questions, I have also made a twitter for you to spam questions and suggestionshttps://twitter.com/NeckBiterQMFor dice rolls we will be rocking a 2d6 system. The number of rolls counted depends on the difficulty of the roll, defaulting to the best of the first three rolls. 1-6 is a complete failure, you fuck up. 7-9 is a mixed success, you succeed, but there are consequences to your action. 10+ is a complete success, you did it, you get exactly what you want. Thanks for reading, and let the fun begin.-NeckBiterQM
The apartment building's rooftop was sparse, a few folding chairs and a half deflated kiddie pool were the only signs of life that one could see atop the dark concrete slab. The water that hadn’t escaped the pool was now grimy and dark, full of dead bugs and wind blown autumn leaves. In one corner was the top of a closed off stairwell, normally locked tight, but a few quick strikes from a hammer was more than enough to crack the bulk ordered knob. Far from the metal door that served as the only entrance to the roof, stood a young man with a messy head of tangled white hair, dressed in some stained sweatpants and an oversized hoodie. His clothing had likely been unwashed for weeks now, and the same was certainly true of the boy himself. The raggedy boy slowly marches back and forth, running his hand along the faintly rusted safety rail that spanned the roof’s perimeter. He mutters little nothings under his breath, tears welling up in his eyes as he tightly grasps the safety rail, swinging his leg over and soon standing with his toes hanging off the building’s edge. He gazes down, and quickly he feels vertigo, barely able to stand upright as he gazes into the darkness of the alleyway far far beneath him. With trembling hands he lingers, his joints stiff and breath coming out in raspy gasps as he fights every instinct in his brain telling him to back away. “Fuck… this is stupid. You can fucking do this at least. Just- just let go… J-just… let…go.” Slowly his hands loosen at the railing, and he stands there, balancing on the edge above certain death. He gulps, a small nervous laugh coming from him as he looks back up to the cityscape one last time. He slowly peers out at his city, a shaky smile on his face. The metropolitan sprawl of Castleton was cluttered with massive apartment buildings like his own, as well as countless skyscrapers. At one point, a century ago, this city would have inspired awe at its sprawl, but now it was a giant mess of brutalist concrete pillars reaching towards the sky. With one last breath, he sucks in a deep breath of cool fall air. He lifts his arms up, squeezes his eyes shut, and leans forward, letting gravity take him. He tries to think of anything but his coming end, anything but the wet smack he is about to leave on the pavement, anything but how much this will hurt-
--------------------------------------The pain of crashing from many stories would normally be in the front of anyone’s mind had they not instantly died from a fall like that, but the shattered mess that once was the boy was in such shock that he couldn’t feel the dozens of shattered bones, nor the warmth of his own blood pooling beneath him. What he did notice was the cloaked figure that stood above him. Even with his face half soaked in blood, the dying boy couldn’t help but stare up at them much in the same way a newborn would gaze up at their parents, a small smile on his face as he looks up in innocent wonder. Slowly, they reach out a hand, and if his ears were properly functioning, he would have heard them offering up some sort of deal. Barely able to even breath, the crumpled mess reaches his hand up, only now noticing the way his forearm now bent inwards, both bones shattered at their middle. He grasps their hand, unable to hear or even speak, save for a barely audible utterance. “…yes…” As he takes the figures hand, he feels a memory rush through him, the one person he still held some tattered fragment of love for. Who was that person? >His mother, the only guardian he ever knew, who belittled him constantly, and plotted out his life.>His former friend, his companion since early childhood, who bullied and mocked him their entire time together. >His first love, the only girl that seemed to actually take interest in the boy, only to laugh in his face when he finally confessed his adoration. As thoughts course through the dying boy, the cloaked figure closes in, their scarlet eyes giving off an alluring glow as they pull back the hood, revealing… >A tall dark skinned woman with long flowing hair the color of ink. Her plump painted lips curl into a small smile as she looks over the boy’s crumpled form. >A handsome blonde gentleman with well kept blonde hair and skin the color of moonlight. He peers down at the boy’s bloodstained face with a striking glare. >A short younger woman with choppy hair dyed a bright neon blue. She gazes down at him with a gleeful smirk, unable to hold back a devious giggle. >An elderly man without a single hair on his head, with leathery skin the color of aged parchment. He analyzes the boy with a calculating, hollow stare.

>>5647280>His mother, the only guardian he ever knew, who belittled him constantly, and plotted out his life.Of course… of all the people that he had met in his rather short life, his mother was likely the one person he still cared for. Sure she mocked him, sure she was controlling, but she didn’t do these out of hate. She always had a tired smile on her face when he came home, she always made dinner and bombarded him with questions about his day. She even cared enough to take care of him when he finally gave up, and dropped out of college in his second semester. His eyes welled up in tears, not only because the pain was starting to come to him, but as he lay here in the alleyway, life quickly leaving his crumpled form, he regretted his actions somewhat. He should have had the dignity of throwing himself off a building she didn’t live inside. He chokes on his own blood, vision slowly fading as… >An elderly man without a single hair on his head, with leathery skin the color of aged parchment. He analyzes the boy with a calculating, hollow stare. The aged man hangs above the mess of shattered bones with a rather emotionless gaze, and after shaking the boy’s hand, he draws closer. Almost face to face with the somewhat intimidating man, the boy barely even blinks as the man slits his own wrist with a long, yellowed fingernail. He brings the wound to the boy’s lips, and sickly black ichor cascades across tongue, overwhelming the taste of his own blood. Without even having to be told, he starts to gulp down the dark blood, eyes squeezed shut as he chokes down every sickening droplet. The man soon pulls his wrist away, his wrist perfectly clear, not a drop of blood nor the large wound that was just carved into it remained. Blanc lay there, quickly coming to awareness of the misplacement of every shard of bone and every shredded tendon in his entire body. The pain came in waves, each more blazingly hot than the last. He can feel every little twitch of ruptured organs and every shred of his torn skin seeping with crimson life. If his lungs weren’t almost entirely collapsed, he would be screaming, and even in his destroyed state, he writhed as best he could, fractured fingers digging into the concrete below him. Why was he feeling this still, why wasn’t he dead, even this much pain wasn’t right, RIGHT?! It was as if every few seconds the final throw of death should overtake him, only for his body to fight off death, and soon the boy starts to take notice, his body was… fixing itself. The process was grueling, but starting from his legs, he could feel as his body began to rearrange the scattered puzzle pieces of bone shards, piecing him back together, with squirming tendons and tensing muscle.
>>5647655He soon feels it in his chest, air flooding back into his lungs as they stretch and throb, pushing out the chunks of rib digging inside of them. Limb by limb, organ by organ, his body painfully pieces itself back together. As he regains control over his warping pile of flesh, he goes to scream, but before he can let out the guttural cry that he instinctively felt, his throat locked itself. He grasps at his throat, and gazes back up to the older man, watching as he simply holds his pointer finger up to his thin, pale lips. Every reassembled cell in his body was begging to scream, but he couldn’t fight the simple gesture of the crimson eyed man. The man stands straight, and offers his hand to the boy. Before he could even ponder taking the man’s hand, his body had already reacted, firmly taking hold of the cold hand, pulling himself up. He looks down at his body, trembling as he expects to see the writhing broken limbs of a building jumper. Instead he found the body he had before the fall, albeit coated in a grotesque amount of his own blood, his already disgusting garments dripping with the warm mess. After marveling over his own body, the boy looks back up to the pale towering man with awe. The soul-shattering pain that had been overwhelming him just moments ago was now entirely absent. “It seems that you took. Good, I wasn’t particularly interested in corralling a ghoul.” The boy tried his very best to ask the man what he meant, but found his throat was still locked tight, and peered up to the man, grasping at his throat. “Ah, right, apologies.” The pale man snaps his long, thin fingers and instantly the boy’s throat untangles itself. Blanc nervously smiles, running his hands over his face as he tries to gather the exact words of appreciation he felt for this man. “Sir I- I can’t- I don’t really know what to say…” “Young man, you need not say a word. You have already given it by making your deal with this devil. Now come, we must go, I’d rather not let any rabble find you like this.” Blanc looks down at his bloodstained clothes and quickly gives a nod. The tall man leads the boy away from the street, and they head deeper into the darkness of the alleyway.
—--------------------------------Far sooner than he would have anticipated, the boy found the two of them walking up the steps of a bookstore that rested in the Oldtown district of Castleton, filled with the smallest and most “vintage” buildings in the city. The pair make their way up the stairs, and as they come to the locked door, rather than pulling a key from some hidden pocket in his robes, the pale man simply waves his hand, and the distinct ‘Clink’ of a turning lock sounds. He follows the man inside, and quickly peers around the eclectic collection of books. Modern classics in bright eye-catching covers, water-damaged books older than the building they rest in, and massive tomes bound in gorgeous leather, filled with ancient scribblings are placed all over every inch of space, clogging every shelf, table and chair. The tall man turns back to the boy and waves him over, before walking through a doorway into a candlelit room. He quickly follows, not one to question a man who mystically restores your body from shambles.
As he enters the room he grows tense, scrawled upon the floor was a massive dark red seal, with eight black candles lit around the main body of it. At the center stood his savior, and even though the hair on the back of his neck was standing on end, Blanc slowly stepped forward finding himself in the center of the circle with the man seeming to tower over him even higher due to the intense shadows coming from the dull light of the candles. The man holds out his right hand, a large knife held in the other. The boy hesitates but slowly offers up his right hand, which the man takes firm hold of, grasping his fingers tight and holding his palm to the sky. The man gives a small smile to the boy, surprised at how quickly he complies. “Now boy. I shall now inform you of your pact, as I doubt your ruptured eardrums could do much to understand me. I am a vampire, a creature of the night that I am sure you long thought to be nothing more than stories from the old world. But as you are now keenly aware, these stories of old hold more truth than you could imagine.” The cold of the man’s deep voice slowly fills Blanc, and he starts to shudder as he brings the knife to his hand, gently carving a seal much like the one they stood within. It hurt, but the pain was rather muffled, not much worse than a shallow papercut. “As a vampire that abides by the rules of old, I am compelled to sire another of my kind every century or so. A trueblood, one who completes the ritual of siring, and earns himself a sliver of his master's power to forge into his own. You shall pull from my very essence, a shard of my being, and take it for yourself.” As he speaks, the tall man slices his own palm, squeezing out a few trickles of dark blood above the boy’s marked palm. Instead of falling to his palm, the blood hangs over the seal, slowly swirling and forming a spiral, before shifting into a star, and then once more into a perfect sphere. “Now boy, focus on my soul. Reach out not with your hand, but with the very fibers of your being, and pluck this seed of potential. Claim your right as the true and rightful spawn of the Great Sage Matvei” The boy looks to the vibrating ball of dark liquid, and feels his fingers twitch and tremble as he does his best to keep them still while still somehow grasping for his gift. He inhales slowly, and focuses not on his fingers or his hand, or even the little orb of blood He stares at the light reflecting off the blood’s dark surface, and conjured in his mind the dimensions of the ball, and with great effort, brought his own force of will down upon the orb.
(Apologies about how this is chopped up, still getting used to post size)A sliver of his power… a fragment of the ancient man’s very soul. What shall Blanc pull from the greatness darkness and claim as his own?>The chill of fog, floating particles of stinging ice that can never truly be captured. Unblockable is its chilling grasp.>The shrill shriek of a bat, the sharp caw of a crow, the low growl of a hound. Countless are their many eyes.>The crackling fire of candlelight, the soft warmth of a flame longs for nothing but slow destruction. Ferocious is its unending hunger. >The harsh force of galing wind, soaring far above the peaks of the tallest mountains, felling the most ancient of trees. Untouchable is its whipping wind.

>The chill of fog, floating particles of stinging ice that can never truly be captured. Unblockable is its chilling grasp. As he grasps for his sire’s soul, he feels above all else, the ethereal chill of a cold that slips past all cloth, ignores all flame, and caresses your very being. He watches as the orb of blood swirls and grows, becoming a pale red fog before seeping into the seal on his palm, cool air shooting through his veins and forever etching their chilly claws into his own soul. He gasps, the cold making him shudder and shiver uncontrollably, falling to his knees, the boy stares up at the tall man, who gives a small smile. Leaning down, he grasps the boy by his shoulder, his thin long fingers digging into him with a strength that contrasts the man’s apparent age. “Excellent job boy, the fact you are even capable of moving these icy veins is proof that you are of good stock.” He loosens his grip on the boy, before standing back up, and with a swift wave of his hand, the black candles around them all extinguish at once, leaving a darkness that Blanc’s eyes adapt remarkably quickly to. Blanc slowly pushes himself to his feet, he feels lighter, his limbs have lost the rigidity they held moments ago, even better than that, far more free than he has ever felt.
He raises his hands, curious on how the seal looked, only to find nothing but a dense, billowing fog, as if a smoke machine was now in the place of his chest, pumping out through the sleeves of his hoodie. His eyes grow wide and terror grasps him, soon his legs give way as well, his chest, his entire form instantly sublimates into chilly vapor. As he floated there, body filling the room slowly, his senses became warped and muffled. He could feel every pillowy inch of his body but the sensation was as if his entire body had gone numb ten times over. His hearing was dull, his sight was useless, and his voice was nothing more than a light whistle of wind. “Focus now boy. This is your body as much as that assemblage of meat.” His master speaks out, somehow filling the boy’s mind his words even though his eardrums were nothing but fog. He feels the aerial mass of his body slowly coil back, like a funnel cloud swirling in on itself before the formation of a tornado. He arranged his limbs back into place, piecing his form together before reverting to his fleshy body. He gasps and quickly runs his hands over his face and chest, a nervous laugh leaving him. It takes him a few moments to collect his thoughts, before he realizes his blood seeped clothing was now in a pile by his feet. His master leaves the room, compelling him to follow, and the nude boy marches himself behind the towering man, hoping that his next gift would be a pair of pants… The sage’s wardrobe was just as widespread as his collection of books, with clothing of every style and color that had grown popular in the past several decades. Blanc was clearly out of his comfort zone, struggling with the number of choices before him. The sage quietly waited at one corner of the room, if asked he would offer his assistance with picking out his new wardrobe. What should Blanc wear? >Something stylish. Classic. >>5647870>Something laid back. Comfortable, lots of pockets, familiar. Even with every option in the world at his fingers, the nude boy quickly finds something simple. An outfit much like the one he was previously wearing, though thankfully these were freshly laundered and still beamed warmth as if they had just been plucked from the dryer. He looks to the large standing mirror and tilts his head, a bit surprised to actually see his reflection. “I uh… I always heard that vampires can’t see their reflections. Guess that’s not true.” He mutters out, peeking back towards the sage, who had pulled out some small book from his robes and was absorbed in his readings. “...Hmm? Ah- yes. Many tales have been told of our kind across the years, dear boy. The myth of our lack of reflection is based on a misguided religious notion that as undead, we would have no soul. Thankfully that is far from the truth, as you are now so keenly aware.” Blanc gives a nod, peeking back to the mirror and looking himself up and down. A plain white t-shirt, some heart boxers, and matching hoodie and sweats, made from pure cotton the color of angry storm clouds. He puts on a small nervous small, noticing the gleam of his canines, it was something so small, but the teeth were much more defined now. He runs his tongue over one of the fangs, wincing as he pricks his tongue. He holds out his tongue, watching as a few drops of maroon start to pool from the tiny wound. He takes a moment and stares at the wound. His brow furrows and slowly the blood seeps back into the wound, sealing itself back up as if the wound was never there. He turns back, slowly walking up to the pale man. He stuffs his hands in his pocket, and smiles up at Matvei. The towering vampire places a slip of paper between the pages and closes it tight, stuffing the small romance novel into his robe. “Excellent. Your attire is… subtle. That will serve you well when you go on your first feeding. I know this has all been rather quick, but I have my reasons for so hurriedly bringing you into the fold. I hope counting rice and garlic are false“Counting rice and a dislike of garlic are individual quirks that a single vampire had that have been exaggerated and attributed with all of our kind. The only significant weaknesses that you have to worry about are the burning light of the sun and mystical weaponry. As part of the infernal contract that we vampires sign, we discard our right to the warmth of the Sun. The Sun will not kill you, but extended exposure to it will make you wish for it. The true thing you must worry about are weapons that can damage your incorporeal form. Blessed weapons are rare, but there are some groups that trade in these enchanted items. More common, in the underworld, is the presence of magic. We vampires are not the only practitioners of those arts. Take too much damage to your soul and you shall become mad, and eventually, a husk of your former self. A Ghoul. A vampire without any remnant of sentience” >Is there some sort of hierarchy or rules I'm supposed to follow? They are the eldest vampire from each of the Twelve Bloodlines, the chains of sire and spawn that you and I serve as links in. As with most things in our world, seniority in the chain is your highest claim to power. Causing harm to someone of an elder claim is strictly forbidden without serious cause. As for other rules you must obey, you are to never reveal these secrets to mankind, doing so will find you swiftly removed from this world. You must also never feed upon the thrall of another vampire, doing so even against a lower vampire, will earn you a great punishment. Also as a general rule I would avoid interacting with politicians, nothing good comes from us tampering with human politics.” >Will I still be able to have children?“Yes. If you choose to have children you are more than free to, your child will be a human, though they might have a knack for dark arts thanks to your blood.” >How long will you be around to help me?“I have no plans to leave this city, dear boy. So as long as you stay here I shall be more than happy to assist you.”>Will I be able to find you in the future?“Due to the connection our souls have, you shall always be able to find me, and I you. And how you haven't raised a couple of eyebrows from people after seeing a picture of yourself from the 50's?“I am currently 568 years old. I was born the same day Gutenburg printed his very first Bible. And am the proud owner of one of those tomes. And that is a simple manner of glamor and illusion, simple spells that cause me and this establishment to become glazed over by the average human eye. As long as they don’t witness something absurd, they quickly lose most of their memory of me. I’m also not a fan of personal photography, I much prefer landscapes.”>If you're a really old vampire, is there some important historical figure that was really you? Is there ANY historical figure that was a vampire and it's alive today?“I am not one to take the limelight, though some vampires have attempted to do so in the past, it proves quite difficult with our weakness to sunlight. It has become even more difficult in this modern era. Though a few became vampires after accruing their fame as humans, and then fake their deaths. President Lincoln was one such gentleman. Last I heard he was taking residence in the Philippines.” >Are there more things aside from us, vampires?“Countless creatures stalk the underbelly of this earth. Werewolves, spectres, witches, demons, angels, gods. Though human understanding of them may be warped, they are far from complete fabrications.” >Ask him about the nature of souls and death. Is there an afterlife and spirits? Gods and demons?“The soul is a natural aspect of all life, creatures culminate that soul through their lives, and when they pass, it slowly fades away, though especially strong souls can force themselves to remain for quite some time. Though many do eventually take residence as objects without souls themselves. Stones, blades, furniture, et cetera. Gods, demons, and angels are merely the souls of many long dead things that come together, and through belief humans shape these beings.”

Uh… Me Lord?” The older man stares down at the boy for a moment before a thin smile crawls onto his face. A chuckle builds from his chest and he lets out a hearty laugh, clapping the boy on his shoulder and gripping at him firmly. “Such formalities are behind us dear boy. I won’t require you to memorize my various titles. Feel free to address me by my name.” Blanc flinches a bit as the elder man laughs, caught off guard that the man who up until this point had kept up such a serious demeanor was so quick to laugh. “Right… not to offend but, it feels a bit weird referring to my senior like that. Like- I’d never walk up to my grandfather and call him Rodger.” Matvei gives a small nod, gently stroking his chin before snapping his fingers. “Well then, refer to me as Grandfather then. You have experience with that.” The boy slowly nods, it was a bit odd but if they were to ever be seen in public, it would make for a somewhat reasonable cover. “Well, I don’t see any issues with that. I-if you really truly don’t mind.”The tall man gives a nod, a proud smile on his face as he looks over the plainly dressed boy. A chime comes from behind the man, and he quickly turns to look at a beautifully crafted old-world style clock. “It seems the sun has come as we were chatting. Shall I show you to your quarters?”“D-do you have a spare coffin prepared already?”“A bed might serve the purpose of restful slumber better, don’t you think?” The two chuckle a bit as they make their way downstairs, bringing the boy to a large room. At the far side rested a lavishly kept king-sized bed. The room was decorated much like the rest of the building, but all the books were kept to their shelves here. After a few more mutterings of thanks and reassurances of repayment from Blanc, Matvei makes his way down the hall to a similar room. Blanc drops into the bed, sinking in some and feeling the grip of sleep quickly take him, who would have known that dying was so tiring?
>>5649237-------------------------------------------The boy stirs some, grumbling out an unintelligible slur of words, saliva connecting his cheek to the pillow. He rubs the sleep from his eyes and pulls himself to his feet, nose twitching softly as he picks up the scent of cooked meat. He follows the smells and sounds of cooking and comes to an entire underground kitchen, and at the stove stood the great sage Matvei, the man who last night was clad in midnight black robes, a stern expression. Now he was dressed in dark gray slacks and a vest, his white undershirt sleeves rolled up to his elbows as he prodded at a few thick slices of bacon. “Ah, good evening my boy. I anticipated that you would be quite hungry upon your waking, so I took the liberty to prepare some food. I do apologize if something doesn’t suit your taste.” He waves his hand over to the table, multiple plates and bowls wear all evenly set. Open faced sandwiches with thick slices of tomato and ham sat at the center, scrambled eggs, steaming oatmeal, pitchers of milk and juice, home cooked bread and jam… It was far from the meals that he was used to. His mother was a rather simple woman, and usually cooked something quick for him, if not just handing him the money to buy something. He sits down, and without a moment of hesitation, fills his belly, his eyes a bit teary as he shovels the most delicious and filling meal he had ever had into his maw. Eventually the other man joined him, making small talk and waving off compliments from the Blanc. After their stomachs were full, Matvei stood, looking at the boy with a small smirk, rolling his sleeves back down and cuffing them with what looked to be a small button resembling a stack of books. “Now that your body is satiated, I believe now it is time to sate the hunger of your soul as well. Tonight we shall scout the city and find you your first meal as a vampire.”Blanc quickly rose to his feet, obviously nervous about this whole aspect of his new life, but even more scared of disappointing his master. >A bar, somewhere bustling downtown. There are so many people there, a target must be easy to find. Picking up a girl for a ‘one night stand’ shouldn’t be impossible. How attractive is Blanc anyways, QM?
I would also like to say that the writing has been great so far QM.

>>5649248Considering the exposition bland at best, poor thing.
>>5649248>>5649253This is pretty accurate, Blanc is someone that is incredibly easy to forget about, which is impressive for someone with naturally white hair like his. He is just below 5'7. He's quite slim but he isn't underweight. If you were to actually notice him, you'd probably consider him a somewhat attractive guy, if he wasn't always dressed so frumpy and with a nervous look on his face, unless that's your thing. >>5649249And thanks, I appreciate the kind words anonTallying the votes and the redlight district wins. >>5649239>A shady alley, located in the unofficial redlight district. Discretion is key after all. While somewhere more bustling would provide a multitude of choices, Blanc couldn’t really see himself in such a lively, crowded place. Not that the idea of soliciting a stranger in an alley was much better, but at least if he struck out he’d only be laughed at by one person. Matvei didn’t seem to mind his choice, acknowledging that the more private place might prove better for the fledgling vampire. The night was young as the two made their way to the streets, making their way to the east side of town where the redlight district was located. Normally a walk like this would have winded the boy, seeing as he was far from active in his past few years, but as they kept going he didn’t feel a pinch of weakness in his legs or chest. Once they arrive at the east side, Blanc looks to the elder man and nervously smiles, his hands wringing together in the pocket of his hoodie. “S-so uhm… are we just gonna… find someone and…” He snaps his teeth together. The man chuckles some, shaking his head a bit and leading him to a small building. Judging on the exterior, the person that owned this place had some modicum of care for the building, which was extremely rare in any part of the city. Hanging above the door of the building was a small set of what looked like flags, a black background with a red heart in its center. The heart had two small punctures through its middle. “I would allow you to simply solicit a woman off the street, but seeing as you are trembling like a leaf in the wind, let us go somewhere more… comfortable.”They walk up the small set of stairs at the front and the old man knocks at the door gently, the door opens slightly, and a sliver of an older woman becomes visible for a moment. “Whaddaya want?” “Excuse me madam, but I am here to sate the thirst of my grandson here, he just came of age you see, and I have been told that you have a large selection of red. Might we come in?”The woman straightens her back a bit, her stern look quickly turning to a soft, alluring smile as she opens the door for the two of them. “Oh why of course sir! We have a fine selection for a discerning tongue like yours. And you boy, I have multiple wonderful girls for you to choose from, or boys- wait… no, the boys are out right now, I apologize.” The short, plump woman leads the two of them inside, taking them down a flight of stairs and through a hallway that was most definitely too long, they couldn’t even be under the same building anymore and they weren’t even halfway down. As Blanc continues to sweat more and more, Matvei lightly pats his back and smiles. “Your first time is rather difficult for many, dear boy. Why my first time was quite the embarrassing ordeal. I ended up burning down the woman’s home by accident.”
>>5650065A small chuckle leaves the boy, but his nerves return as the woman stops at a large, ornate door, and opens it wide, revealing a lavishly decorated room. A few young women were seated upon some of the large couches and chairs that lined the edges of the main room. As the two of them walk in, two of the girls perk up, wide smiles on their faces as their eyes run over the boy and his taller master. “Please feel free to talk with any of the girls, or get yourself comfortable and I can bring one over once you are ready.”She makes her way through a beaded curtain and starts talking with someone in the other room, not that she was the one Blanc was focusing on. Currently the room had three occupants aside from the boy and his master. A young, tanned, redheaded woman sat nearest to the door, dressed in a tight top and what could generously be called a skirt. She seemed eager to see the two of them, and even gave a small wave to the boy, which he nervously repaid. She almost bounced in her seat, stuffing her hands in between the cushions, seemingly trying to keep her composure.Besides her sat a slightly more mature looking woman with hair dyed a bright eye catching pink, her skin a soft caramel in color. She was more blessed in her measurements then her companion, but her clothing was, by comparison, moderate. A deep cut sweater that was cut off just above her stomach, and a pair of shorts that seemed far tighter than Blanc could ever think to subject himself to. At the far side of the room lay a black hair girl, more interested in the book that sat propped up against her stomach. She had peered over more than once at the two of them, but had less apparent interest than the other two women. She wore a tight pair of black jeans with a multitude of tears across the fabric. She wore a black bra across her chest and a fishnet top that left little to imagine of her pale form. Which of these women should Blanc approach? >Excited Redhead>Plump Woman>Bookish GothOr should he simply go the far corner and >Sit in the corner.((also feel free to suggest names for the women. Still haven't decided on anything yet.))

>>5650070>Excited RedheadA nervous smile came to his face as he slowly approached the eager girl. It would probably be easiest to go and do this with someone that really seemed to want to. Before he could mutter out any words, the girl quickly hops to her feet, and firmly grasps at Blanc’s hand with both of hers. “Hi there! So good to meet you! I’d be so happy if you were to pick me” She was pressing close to him, and the pale boy feels his entire face grow pink as he struggles to collect his thoughts, his eyes too busy flicking over her tanned skin. “Ye-yeah… I mean- Yes. Sorry, I’m a bit new to this. Ehem- My name is Blanc, wh-what’s yours?” The redhead tilts her head a bit and a smirk slowly crawls onto her face, she slips her arm around his and starts to walk him over a small loveseat, she looks to the pink haired woman and points to the backroom with a drinking gesture. The other woman stands, and slowly makes her way to the back, the light clatter of the bead curtain filling the room as she sits him down, and then plopping herself down next to him, swinging her legs up and over his lap. “Is this like your first time? I’ve never actually been someone’s first feed. That is so hot… Gosh- Sorry! My name is Laura, it’s nice to meet you Blanc. Did your mom already have that picked out or was it cause of the hair?” She reaches close and runs her fingers through the boy's hair, gently stroking her fingers over it. Her chest pressed into his shoulder, and the way his heart was beating, he thought he might die again. Thankfully the pink haired woman comes back with a steaming teapot, and a few small cups, she sets them down and winks at the boy before walking to Matvei and starting to chat with him. Laura sits herself up and starts to pour the both of them a cup, the light steam coming from it billows up into her soft face. She offers him the cup and smiles, taking a sip of her own. “We drink this before we start to help with blood flow, thanks to all the caffeine. Juno says it’s also supposed to be some kind of aphro… deezeack? I dunno.” Blanc looks down to his cup and slowly brings it up to his lips, trembling hands making it rather difficult to not spill, but he manages to take a few sips. The tea was strong, and almost burned his throat with the odd mix of herbs that were steeped in it, though he had to admit that the flavor that lingered on his tongue was quite lovely. Blanc slowly looks back to the girl, warmth flooding his face again. He was uncertain of how to broach this, did he just come out and say he was ready? Does he try to play it cool and make her ask? Or maybe he just chats with her, maybe getting to know her first would make him feel better? >Bluntly ask>Play cool>Chit chat

>>5650670>Chit chatThe boy smiles, the best way to do any of this was to get to know the girl a little first, right? He wrings his hands together and looks around the room, attempting to find something to actually talk about. Eventually he sighs and looks back to Lauren, finding her staring at him with a small cute smirk on her face. He gently rubs at the back of his neck and shifts in his seat a bit. "So uh… Lauren. Would you mind just talking with me for a bit? I just wanna learn a little bit about you, I guess. Y'know… how long have you lived in the city? Hobbies. Stuff like that." The woman shifts her position and lays her head down in the boy's lap, stretching her arms up as she lays across him. "Babe, you are adorable. Sure, I can talk about myself all night if that's what you want. I moved to Castleton when I was 12, it was for my dad's work. I lived downtown with my family, but once I turned 18 I moved out, ended up finding my place here. As for hobbies, I really love collecting stuffed animals. My bedroom is filled with so many… It's a bit of an addiction eheh-" She giggles a bit, continuing to detail her interest in B movies, how she played tennis throughout high school, and the fact that she had never actually been to a proper sunny beach before. Blanc found himself forgetting about the tense mood he was in a few minutes ago, growing absorbed in the girl's words. Until of course the tea finally starts to circulate through him, and he feels his face burn red. He looks down after a minute, only to realize that the girl was seemingly the same, her tanned face slightly flushed in and around her soft cheeks.
>>5652171Slowly she sits herself up, and before Blanc could even attempt to protest, she plops herself into his lap, staring down at him with a small smirk. "I think it's time to start, don'tcha think~?" "I-I'm not really sure how I actually- do this…" "Oh babe, it's simple. Your body knows how to do it. All you gotta do is bite on my neck right here. You can drink from me until I squeeze your side three times alright? You wouldn't wanna go making me your thrall after all…" She runs her fingers against the crook of her neck, and turns her head, as if offering herself up to the boy. She grasps at his hands and puts them on her hips, letting him gently hold her. Blanc was tense, his body was flaring up with warmth and he couldn't even say a word. He slowly leans forward, his nose flaring softly as he takes in the scent of her subtle perfume. He gently pecks his lips against her neck and a small squeak comes from the woman. He smiles softly and kisses at her neck a few more times before he opens his mouth, slowly pressing his fangs against her soft skin. The glistening teeth puncture her skin, and he quickly wraps his lips around the wound, and softly suckles at the trickle of blood. His mouth is quickly flooded with the taste of iron, and a small moan spills from the woman in his lap. He gently squeezes his hands at her sides and shudders as he gulps down more of the blood. He feels a strange warmth growing in his stomach as he continues to drink. The woman keeps squirming in his lap, and her lips gently brush by his ear, and her soft panting breaths land against him. He shudders and keeps drinking. The woman gives a squeeze at his chest, and then one more. Blanc stops drinking, anticipating her to squeeze again, but before he can pull his lips from her neck, she whispers into his ear. “If you really wanna keep going… I wouldn’t mind being taken by someone so nice.” >Keep Going. >>5652175>Keep Going. Take Her.The words vibrate through his head, he knows what she wants, and he wants the same thing, probably more than she does. The girl slowly pulls herself from his lap, and grabs him by the collar, pulling him up and firmly planting her soft glossy lips against his own. She giggles softly, grabbing his hand and pulling him away from the room, and to a door that most definitely wasn’t there last he looked, but he wasn’t exactly clear of mind at the moment, his eyes glued to the woman in front of him. He follows her through the door and finds a small room with a large well kept bed, surrounded by a sea of stuffed animals. Lauren tugs him along, crawling onto the bed and pulling Blanc down atop of her“I hope you’re ready for a good night, you drained me, so I only think it’s fair if I do the same~”A small nervous noise squeaks out of Blanc’s throat as he looks down at the slender girl, taking a moment to revel in her beauty and the pure shock of this whole thing, only stopping when he suddenly feels a hand grabbing at his crotch. (Fade to black… <3)—------------A surprisingly long time later…The pale boy lay in bed, half covered by sweat smeared sheets, a look of simple bliss plastered on his face. A similar expression spans the face of the girl as she nuzzles her face against his slender chest, gently tracing her finger along his undeveloped pectoral. “...hey Blanc?” The boy snaps from his blissful stupor and turns his head to look at the woman, sitting up slightly. His nerves start to return to him, a wash of worry hitting the pit of his stomach, his entire being preparing for some words of disappointment.“Y-yeah, what’s up?” “You did good. Like, especially for your first time. Just uh… thought you’d wanna know that.”He lays there for a moment, all of that anticipation crumbling away. A small chuckle leaves him, and he pulls the girl up a bit, pecking her forehead and slowly going to stand, careful to step between the plump stuffed creatures sitting around the floor. “Thanks. I’m just glad you felt good… I’m going to uh, use the bathroom.”
>>5652978He quickly pulls his shirt on, looking for his hoodie, only to turn around and see the slender redhead pulling it on over herself. A swell fills his chest and turns back around, a big goofy smile plastered on his face as he walks out of the room, finding the mainroom from before. The pink haired woman was gone, but Blanc did see Matvei, embroiled in some intense literary discussion with the bookish girl. Matvei peeks over to the young man and a small smirk comes to his face. He gently pats the young woman on her head and then stands, making his way over to the boy. “-Apologies, we can continue in a moment.” He looks the boy over, and quickly blush comes to his face as he nervously attempts to comb his tousled hair with his fingers. The tall man claps his hands at the boy’s shoulders and looks down at him with a sense of pride. “I must say, boy. I did not expect you to so quickly entrance a lady with your charms, were you such a Casanova in life as well?” A somewhat confused look comes to the boy, and he shrugs off the comment, stuffing his hands deep into his pockets. “Gramps… I mean she just did it cause this is like… y'know, a brothel.” The elder man raises his eyebrow, gently shaking his head, a chuckle leaving him and the dark haired girl watching the two of them from the couch. “You know we aren’t paid to sleep with you guys right? It’s not exactly against the rules or anything. Miss Juno keeps the place enchanted so we can’t be coerced by some vampiric stare. And it also gives us quick access to our rooms, nobody else can enter unless we want them to… And Lauren *really* wanted you… she’s never *that* touchy with customers.” The boy stands there with a blank expression, his brain attempting to fully grasp what had actually just happened to him. He cocks his thumb back, and looks at the door. “So you mean… She wanted me to… But I thought- W-what about the aphrodisiac tea?! Th-that only makes sense if you’re doping us all up so we like pay extra to have sex-” “Aphrodisiac tea…? Oooooh, yeah Miss Juno *claims* that stuff is all sorts of stuff, but it’s as much of an aphrodisiac as powdered rhino horn. I guess you just got some placebo boner tea.”
>>5652979Blanc looks up to his master, looking for some confirmation; he wouldn’t spare his feelings if he really wanted to know the truth. “This is no brothel my boy. These people are merely mortal members of the underside, they’re witches. Mortals with some spark of mystical potential. They sell their blood safely to hungry patrons like us.” “Witches… So Lauren is…” “A witch, yeah. Specializing in prophecy, she had been super eager the entire week, almost like she was waiting for you.”The pale boy fumbles with all this information, suddenly coming to understand the few spatial inconsistencies he had encountered here. He slowly sits himself down, hand on his chest, a small smile glued to his face. He looks back to the door and then to his master. >Go back to the room. >>5652982>Stay here. Discuss this more with the two before him. Blanc takes a few more moments to bask in the glow of this whole thing. A girl really wanted to have sex with him. WITH HIM?! Blanc had never even been on a real date before, so the mere notion that a woman actually found him attractive in any way was quite the revelation. He peeks up from the ground at his master and the young goth woman, a glow in his rosy red irises. "She might actually really truly like… me." That smile is still stuck to his face, and he bounces up to his feet, marching around the room and trying to work out the feelings coming over him. "Blanc, I understand that this might be a bit much for you to absorb, but is it so perplexing to you that a fine young woman might find you intriguing? You are quite kind, you are an incredible listener, and I must admit that your mannerisms are quite enjoyable to watch." His sire gently pats his shoulder, calming the boy enough for his pacing to stop. He looks up to the older man and gently squeezes the hand at his shoulder, a small sigh escaping him. "Honestly, yeah it is kinda hard to believe. I didn't have the best time with girls during school." Blanc peeks over to the woman, and slowly walks over to her, rubbing at the back of his neck awkwardly. He gives a small nervous smile to the stern looking woman. "Uhm- sorry, I keep blabbering about me and I totally interrupted your talk with Matvei. What's your name by the way?" "...No, it's fine. My name's Margo. You really should just accept it. Lauren's not the type of girl to casually hook-up… so I figure she must have heard some really good things about you. Maybe some you haven't even done yet. Magic's fun like that I guess. You should probably get back to her, unless you wanna book it." He quickly shakes his head, thanking her and Matvei before walking back over to the door. He grasps at the handle and then stops. He quickly turns back around, blush covering his face. "...Where's the bathroom?" -----------------After a speedy trip to the bathroom, the boy returns to Lauren's room, finding her sprawled across her mattress. Once she notices him, she quickly sits up and pats the bed. "That sure was a long potty break, did you fall asleep in there?" He chuckles a bit as he crawls back onto the bed, finding her arms wrapped up around his neck before he could even say anything. She gently pecks at his cheek, beaming a smile at him and causing him to squirm a bit. Should he just act like he didn't get a bit of a pep talk/ magical explanation combo. I know that you are like a seer or whatever. I don’t know if you foresaw this whole talk or not, but I just wanted to let you know that… O-oh and the fact that I kinda sorta thought you were like… a sex worker-” He slowly looks down to her once he finishes muttering, a wide, nervous smile on his face as he tries to gauge her reaction. She looks up to him with a rather straight face for a few moments, before a smile cracks onto her face and she starts to laugh. She buries her face into his shoulder and keeps deeply laughing as she clings tight to the boy. He nervously chuckles along, leaning into her a bit. “Blanc… you really are adorable. God. Uhm, yeah, I can do a little bit of peeking into the future, and I did happen to see you coming in. Everything else was a bit fuzzy cause the future’s never set in stone and all that. Sorry that I didn’t outright tell you that. You aren't like creeped out are you?” “Uh- no that wasn’t even that big a deal I guess. Y’know I kinda died a day ago and I’m just pretty accepting about fantastical stuff like this. Wh-what I’m not too used to is… a girl actually liking me.” The girl finally calms down her giggling, and pulls herself into the boy’s lap. “Well I guess you’re gonna have to get used to it. I am your thrall, ehehe.” She chuckles a bit and gently cups the boy’s face in her hands. “Oh, I do have a question about that actually… What is a thrall? Matvei mentioned it but I don’t actually know what being a thrall means.” “Oh! Well back in the day a thrall was someone that a vampire subjugated with their powers into being their human juicebox. Nowadays it's more of a term of like, partnership. Other vampires feeding from someone else’s thrall is bad news, not just because of stealing their girl or whatever. Vampires are beings that have a much more malleable soul, and because of that, they can swap tiny bits of their souls with someone they really care about. And if another vampire were to eat that tiny bit of their soul, it could risk them turning into a ghoul.” He nods, taking mental notes of all of this. He gently adjusts his position, putting his hands at her sides. It seems that having a mystical girlfriend could have some interesting upsides. Oh Lord, he’s never actually had a girl accept his confession before, and he hasn’t really confessed his feelings, but maybe his eager spirit already did? Did he want that tie with her? He did feel this intense attraction to her, but he barely knew the girl. >Yes. >>5654705>Yes. He didn’t care if he regretted it later, he loved this woman even if it was stupid and quick. Of course… Even if this all does blow up in his face, caging away his heart and reigning in his emotions was what led him to trying to kill himself. He wasn’t going to live his second life like that. He was going to chase for happiness as fast as his limbs could take him, and if he got knocked down, he can- no… he WILL get up again. The boy, so lost in his own head, doesn’t notice the warmth growing from his chest, the tears welling in his eyes. When he finally comes to, he finds himself staring deep into Lauren’s eyes. Wordlessly, the two of them intertwine their hands, and a soft grin comes to their faces. Nothing physically had changed, but the tingling they felt in their limbs betrayed the change that had just happened. It was difficult to put to words, but Blanc instinctively knew that this was what she had described, the malleable soul of his, ripping a shred of itself off and stealing away an equal sliver from her. A jolt goes down his spine and he falls back, the girl falling with him, and a deep sudden need for sleep overcomes his slender form. He looks up to her, eyes half lidded as he holds off sleep for a few more moments. “Sorry… I think I just need… a nap…” And like that, the boy was out, lost in deep slumber. Blanc wouldn’t find this out until his waking the next night, but this intensity of action with one’s soul was draining to the physical form, especially for amateurs in the art of spiritual manipulation, like himself. Thankfully the woman who lay atop him was well aware of this possibility, especially considering that it was already nearing sunrise.
>>5655504----------------A shuffling comes from his side, disturbing the calm waters of the sleep that wrapped tight around his mind. Blanc slowly sits himself up, eyes squeezed tight still as he struggles to banish the clinging slumber form him. His eyes shoot open after a few moments, and he looks to his side, finding the slumbering form of the woman he just before sleep overtook him. He sighs softly, the small fragment of him still concerned that this was all a dream finally being sent away from his thoughts. He slowly sits himself up, trying to not disturb the still resting Lauren. He stretches his tight muscles for a few minutes before attempting to find a clock of some kind within the girl’s room. Thankfully his eyes were now as adept in darkness as they were in the light. He soon finds a small pink bear with a clock in its belly, finding the time to be just after 9PM. He peeks back over to the girl, wondering if her sleep schedule would closely mirror his, due to her profession. Oh right… she wouldn’t be able to have any other vamps drinking from her now. Some guilt started to build in his chest, and he chewed at his lower lip as he paced between the small gap of floor not littered with plush toys. He could wake the girl and ask her, but she still seemed deep in sleep, and the thought of harming that slumber caused his heart to ache. Or he could always just walk out the door and go to speak with one of the other girls he saw, or the lady that seemed to be running this place. >Awaken Lauren from her sleep. >Make your way outside and meet with the “blood banks” practitioner.
>>5655507>>Make your way outside and meet with the “blood banks” practitioner. We must apologize.

>>5655507>>Awaken Lauren from her sleep.
>>5655507>Make your way outside and meet with the “blood banks” practitioner. So are we gonna have to pay for that? Like a “you break it you buy it” kinda deal? Also if we see gramps can we ask him about the different kinds of vampires? Figure this is a good a time as any
>>5655826We should probably ask if there are any relatives around. He said he has to sire a new one every century and is 568 years old.
>>5655507>Make your way outside and meet with the “blood banks” practitioner. He takes one more look at the slumbering woman and decides it would be best to let her sleep for now, thrall making might be even more tiring to a mortal. He brushes his hair and pats down the wrinkles in his clothing, trying to become somewhat presentable for the madam he was about to go see. He quietly slips out of the room, turning around to find himself in an entirely different place then he was anticipating. He was now in a long highway, the one that he and Matvei had been led through last evening. He slowly starts to make his way down the hallway, steadily marching down for minutes before he finally finds a door. The door was ornate, a beautiful hand made wooden piece of art, with gorgeous engravings across its edges. He runs his hand along the door, only to jump back as it starts to open without his push. He peeks inside, finding a small office room, a desk sat at the far side of the room, and behind that desk was a large leopard print desk chair, turned away from the boy. "Come in… I've been expecting you~" A lump grows in his throat, and he slowly walks inside. He turns to close the door, but finds it shutting itself once he makes his way past the threshold. He turns back to the desk, and smiles nervously as the chair slowly turns around. Seated comfortably in the chair was the older woman that had welcomed him inside, the owner of this fine establishment that Blanc had just stripped of one of their employees. "Hello dear, please take a seat."
>>5656804Blanc raises an eyebrow, having not seen any other seats, only to find a chair pushing into him from behind, sending him to fall back and plop down into the comfy seat. "Now. I see that you and Lauren have gotten along quite well. So quickly enthralling a girl… you are quite the young player Mister Toile. I am certain that you have some worries, but I assure you that Lauren and you are not in any trouble. I'm quite glad that Lauren has finally found someone nice, that girl's had quite the hard life." He sighs, leaning back into the chair and placing a hand over his chest. "Thank god… I was a bit scared you'd be coming for my head." "Oh hush, I'd never be so ruthless with a handsome young man like yourself. But I do have a favor to ask of you. Normally I wouldn't go asking a stranger for assistance in these sorts of matters, but let's just say you're a part of the family now." The woman winks, leaning back in her chair and setting down a manila folder, inside it were a number of head-shots of a rather androgynous young man. "This boy here is one of the young people that I keep an eye on. His name is Clemence Friar, he had spent a long time under my wing, but for the past few weeks he has been unreachable. Even via mystical means we have been unable to find him, which leads me to believe he is still alive, but with someone adept with concealing magics. I've already consulted with Matvei and he gave his endorsement, if that matters to you…" Blanc feels sweat building under his armpits as his hands tense at the hand rests of the chair. Was this woman looking for him to get involved with some sort of otherworldly dispute? Magic strong enough that this little coven of witches couldn't beat? What was this lone vampire going to do? Should he even listen to this woman any longer, or would it just be better for him to get up and march his way out the door, grab Lauren, and leave? >Sit and listen. He did feel as if he owed her at least that, even if he didn't accept this mission. >Hightail it. He wasn't going to start his afterlife by going and throwing himself into the jaws of some unknown threat.

>>5658939This has been a long tomorrow
>>5662010The curse of vampire quests continue.
Apologies on the delay, I ended up getting a job ive been interviewing for for a while, and ive been busy getting shit ready for that. I am sitting down and writing one more big post and that'll be the end of this thread. Will take a break week or two, and then come back once im settled at my new job. I do appreciate all of you readers, this has been a very great experience, as someone that struggles with putting pen to paper, I have written way more pages for all of you then I have for myself in months. Updates will come from the twitter as always, including whenever the new thread goes up, so consider following that if you wanna be here once episode 2 starts. xoxo- NBQM
>>5656806>Sit and listen. He did feel as if he owed her at least that, even if he didn't accept this mission. He did owe the woman at least that much, even if she was going to request something impossible, he had to hear her out. “I’ll hear you out… but I honestly don’t know how much help I will be, I’m still pretty new to all of this.” He vaguely gestures at himself and then leans back into the chair. The woman nods softly, pulling out another file and setting it down next to the files with the boys' pictures. The new envelope does feature some pictures of the boy, but he is always with another man, a taller, much more masculine guy in his early 20’s. He had thick, messy, green hair and a multitude of piercings, overall a vibe Blanc would not have thought the more demure and elegant looking boy would associate with. “This young man was very close to my Clemence. His name is Julian Mahigan. Clemence was very private about his lovelife, but after having some talks with the girls after he disappeared, Julian seems to have been in some sort of romantic relationship with Clem…” She sighs softly, taking one of the photos of the young boy and looking over it with a concerned frown. She sets the picture back down and looks to Blanc with a much more stern gaze. “We have attempted to talk with Julian but no matter what we do, he won’t talk with us. He seems to think that we are responsible for Clemence’s disappearance. We just want to talk with him, because if anyone might have a better clue of his private life, Julian would.” Blanc nods softly, people don’t really just disappear anymore, especially not from scrying witches, right? The more he thinks about this, he starts to think back to his own mother, and a knot forms in his gut. He hadn’t been on the best terms with her, but he had just dropped right out of her life, no note, no call. He snaps from his worry and looks back up to the elder witch, leaning forward in his seat and putting a hand on the table. “I guess that all makes sense but… I don’t really see why he would want to talk with me. I’m just the partner of one of your folk, why would he give me the time of day, if he won’t tell you?” The woman nods softly, grabbing a cigarette from her desk and lighting it with a snap of her fingers. She takes a few puffs of the cancer stick before answering him. “Well, you’re his brother technically speaking, so I assume if anyone has a chance, it’s you.” …Brother. Brother? Oh fuck.
--------------------------------This will be the end of the very first thread of NeckBiterQuest. This was a bit of a prologue to this story, and I am very excited to expand on this world that Blanc has dipped his toe in. Thank you all very very much, and go hang out with your mom for Mother’s Day, unless she sucks, then fuck that bitch.
>>5663101See you later! Good luck with that job, QM.>unless she sucks, then fuck that bitchMy god the phrasing.
