Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

At the beginning of the new year, Chilli invited Karn and the rest of his family over for the one year anniversary of his daughter's birth. The celebration went flawlessly, Mechikabura showing up with Towa, Future Chaya, and the half-demon children of Karn and Towa while cutting off the space from the rest of time with his magic. But as the party came to a close, Karn showing young Meloka Wolbach the greatest fireworks she'd ever seen with an Event Horizon. But as the blast faded, Karn regaining energy from the Soulstone, suddenly the barrier went down, and the Time Patrol attacked! And as we rejoin Karn, just before you're able to leap into action, someone just APPEARS before you!

“There you are!” the orange-gi'd Kakarot says, lowering his hand from his forehead. “Good thing you were able to replenish your power, it wouldn't be fun if you weren't at full strength.”
“So, you're supposed to keep me from rejoining the others?” you ask, immediately clenching your fists and powering right back up to 100%, then releasing the demonic seal. Dark power flows through you, bringing the full might of your will to bear. “HRRAAAAA!! Alright, let's make this quick.”
“HaaaaAAAAAAA!!” he shouts, once more going into his Blue form before taking a fighting stance quite similar to your own. Left arm up defensively, right arm back and at his waist ready to strike. “Show me this power of yours that has everyone so worked up!”

“HRRAAAAAA!!” you roar, immediately exploding off the ground towards him. Goku braces himself as you draw your right fist back. Closing the gap near-instantly, both you and the blue-haired Saiyan swing right fists. Yours strikes his, the ground shattering beneath you both as the shock wave from the impact blasts out. You then twist into a left turning kick aimed for his temple, Bardock's boy raising his right and blocking your kick with his forearm. He then clenches his fist, swinging up at your torso with a heavy left uppercut. You bring your right up, catching his strike with the outside of your right forearm and knocking his strike wide, leaving him wide open. Which you take advantage of, firing a quick left hook into his temple with a shout. “HAAAA!”

“Woah!” Kakarot exclaims, knocked back a step. But he plants his left foot confidently, easily keeping his balance and firing back immediately with a right. Which you also catch similarly to his last, this time with your left forearm and once again knock his blow wide. But he isn't so easily caught a second time, immediately drawing his left forearm up parallel to his head, catching your right hook. But leaving his left ribs exposed, you driving your right knee up into them hard. “GAH!”
“RRRAAAAAAA!!” you roar, immediately following up your knee with a left cross to the jaw, right uppercut to the guts, then a quick one-two to the face, finished with a powerful left uppercut to the jaw. But before you can land the uppercut he recovers, bringing both hands down and catching your much-larger fist. His palms stop your strike dead in its tracks, but you don't stop. Drawing your right back you swing a powerful straight at his face, Kakarot drawing only his left up to block your strike with his forearm. As he does, however, he seemingly copies your Djem So, deflecting the strike just outside his body and leaving YOU wide open. “Tch!”

“Haaaaa!” he shouts, driving his right square into your guts and knocking you back. The angle and force of his punch lifts you up off your feet, knocking you back a few yards through the air before landing back on your feet, sliding another yard or so to a stop. As you do he straightens up, smirking confidently at you. Almost as if saying “I've got you figured out now.” You sigh out, relaxing your core where you'd tensed up, bracing for the punch and already feel a dull ache reverberating from where he'd struck you. If you're not careful, this guy could do some serious damage. “My turn!”

And he launches himself straight at you.

You plant your feet, bracing yourself as this alternate timeline son of Bardock charges in, this time mirroring your opening with a heavy right. Which you counter, deflecting the blow aside with your left forearm to expose him. But he was ready, twisting much as you had into a turning left kick aimed for your head. Raising your right forearm and left hand you catch and stop his attack, but he then immediately follows up with his right leg, aimed at your lower ribs. So you raise your right leg, catching his second kick on the outside of your right shin. But at the same time slip your right up and over his left, catching his left leg under your armpit in a two handed secure hold. And jump into the air.

“Wooooaaaaah!” he exclaims as you jump, swinging him up and over your head before dropping down, slamming him down hard towards the ground. But as you do he twists around, bringing his right foot all the way around and kicking towards your left temple. Forcing you to pitch him away or take a devastating kick to the head. Which you do, throwing the orange-gi'd Saiyan away. He backflips a couple times, landing lightly on his feet then immediately blazing his azure, divine aura up, charging for you once more.

Ok, I see the problem here. We're too used to fighting jobbers like Majin Ozotto or the 3 Stooges. We tend to instagib them by either exploiting their lack of technique or their crippling pride or all around idiocy.

For all the memes about Goku being a retard, he's actually *really* good at fighting. Monkey think faster than supercomputer in the heat of battle. We played our hand too early, and he's gonna be on watch for shit like that. Rolfstomping the boss like he's a speed bump like we do with The Boi is looking far more unlikely. Oh dear.

“Haaaaaaaaa!” Kakarot calls as he charges, right again drawn back. But you're not letting him get close again, focusing your ki behind your eyes you fire your Guided Eye Beams with a shout. “Woah!”
“RRAAAAAAAA!!” you bellow, cutting beams flying right towards the Time Patroller's shocked face. He stops his charge short, twisting his entire body counterclockwise around your twinned beams. As he rights himself you focus on your beam, turning it and sending the beam right at his back as he resumes his charge. But as your beam closes in, gaining on the warrior, something seems off. He then stops just short of you, looking over his shoulder and freezing in place just an instant before your beams hit. However, you don't feel any resistance, your beams passing effortlessly through him. At the last possible moment you realize that he faked you out, dodging and leaving an Afterimage behind so your beams would hit YOU instead!

But such a thing won't work on you. His body wouldn't have stopped your attack, and you weren't planning on dying here WITH him.

“HAAAAA!” you roar, the beams abruptly changing their course ninety degrees and flying straight up before you end the technique to look around. Glancing back and forth you try to spot him, not sensing for his energy as its divine anyways, when suddenly your instincts warn you of danger! Right behind you! But you don't move, instead firing a second attack, curving the beams immediately around behind your head.
“Woah!” you hear him shout, you turning to see him fleeing backwards from your beams before dodging aside, narrowly avoiding them. “That was a close one! You almost had me.”

“Tch.” you seethe through clenched teeth, again gathering your power behind your eyes while also raising both hands. At the end of each of your fingers a pinpoint of light gleams, your power charging up. He clearly sees this, the goofy expression on his face serious-ing up real quick. “Die.”

And with a thought unleash twelve beams towards him, each one lethal.

“HAAAAAAAA!!” Kakarot shouts, azure aura blazing as he flies straight up into the air. You end your Scatter Beams, focusing instead on your Guided Eye Beams to hunt him down as he puts distance between the two of you. Despite the power gap, your attack is faster, quickly closing the distance. Once he decides he's far enough away he stops running, Kakarot instead again dodges your beams by twisting clockwise around them.

“RRRAAAAAA!!” you snarl, redirecting your attack back towards him. Kakarot easily flips backwards up over your attack, dodging over and over as you keep trying to hit him. Yet he's simply too skilled, in too good of control of his body to take an accidental hit. And the pressure begins rapidly building up inside your head. You redirect your beams over and over, yet as time feels like its dragging on the pressure in your head keeps building. Your head starts pounding, eyes feeling like they'll be popped out of your skull, when finally you give in and end the attack, shutting your eyes and wincing in pain. Which is when he strikes.

The instant you end the attack, somehow he's ALREADY in front of you, delivering a heavy blow to your middle.

“GYUH!” you wheeze, doubling over in pain despite bracing yourself for a strike. But as you do, you also swing both arms forward, grabbing his arm by the forearm and elbow both, holding him in place. You then look up, grinning maliciously as you once more gather power behind your eyes. “Gotcha!”
“Wha-Oh dammit!” he exclaims, realizing exactly what's about to happen. He tries to pull away, but you've got his arm secure in your grip. He has nowhere left to run!
“HAAAAAA!!” you bellow, firing your Guided Eye Beams once more despite the pain in your head. But the moment you do, he shouts out.

“KAIO-KEN!!”

Crimson aura explodes out around his azure one, much like Ace's. And as you've seen, his power surges, allowing him to tear free of your grip and dash backwards. He's easily faster than your beams like this, getting more than a dozen yards back before your attack has even gone two. So you end the attack, Kakarot ending his Kaio-Ken as he turns back to look at you, then grins.

“Hehe, not bad. But you're gonna need more than tricks if you want to beat me!” he exclaims, retaking his fighting stance. You do the same, realizing that this version of Kakarot isn't like Trunks or the others. He's a serious threat, one with real skill and power. If you let your focus slip, even for a moment, it could be the end for you.

“Now try THIS!” you shout, crossing your arms, aura blazing up around you. Focusing your ki, you begin drawing it inwards, condensing it into your Energy Body. Your ki hardens, you blasting forward towards the divine-powered Time Patroller. “HRRAAAA!!”

“HAAAA!!” Kakarot also shouts, kicking off the ground and charging you as well. Drawing your fist back, you see him do the same. But this time you have no intention of going fist-to-fist. As you both swing you take yours wide, throwing your body into the punch out and around, while his strike is straighter towards your left temple. So, naturally his fist strikes first, and even through your armor it hurts. But then your fist slams into his left temple at full power, your strike not weakened by taking the first hit and rocking his head to the side. “Kuh!”

“GRRRRAAAAA!!” you roar, following up your right with a left uppercut, throwing your entire body behind it and catching him clean in the guts before he can recover. You can feel the impact through your Energy Body, Kakarot spitting as the air in his body is ejected forcefully. Which means this is your moment to attack and really start laying into him. “HRRRAAAAAAA!!”

You follow your uppercut with a heavy right left cross, then a right hammerfist that leads directly into a left knee square into his face, followed by a leaping right turning kick to the head as he staggers backwards. Knocking Kakarot spinning, you twisting your entire body counterclockwise and turning into a dropping left axe kick to his shoulder. Dropping him down to a knee, catching himself with one hand on the ground.

But as you go to follow it up with another heavy downward right, suddenly he leaps back, narrowly avoiding your blow. Instead your fist smashes into the ground, which shatters from the force of the impact. Explosions go off somewhere behind you, and for a split second you consider abandoning this fight and rushing over there. But he's too strong, if you draw him over there someone ELSE could get caught in your battle. Better to take him out here and now then go help everyone else. So you kick off the ground, blitzing back towards his fleeing azure aura-clad form.

“Get BACK HERE!!” you roar, charging his fleeing form. To which surprisingly he stops, again taking his fighting stance as you close in. But there's something different, a gleam in his eye as he grins almost excitedly.

“RRAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, again swinging a heavy right towards his head. But this time, he weaves your punch, leaning back just outside your swing and letting it sail harmlessly past. The instant your fist is past his face he then counters, firing off a heavy short left into your jaw over your shoulder then a right uppercut under your outstretched arm, striking your chin directly and slightly knocking your head back. Had your Energy Body not been active, that punch surely would have sent you flying. But instead you power through, redirecting your momentum into a right elbow directly at his face. But he simply flips backwards in the air, kicking up with his right and AGAIN hitting you square in the jaw. You try and grab his leg with your left, but he continues his flipping motion and escapes your grasp, reorienting himself just out of your reach.

“Not a bad technique. Reminds me of that Barrier Gohan and I made to fight a poison fighter.” Kakarot remarks, clenching his fists tight enough for his veins to bulge in his arms and forehead. “But making yourself more durable only means that I can hit you even harder now! HRRRAAAAA!!”

And once more that blazing red aura of Kaio-Ken envelops his azure godly aura, the pressure he's exerting growing by magnitudes. He then smirks at you, again taking his fighting stance, then vanishes. He's just GONE. Before you can even look around for him, a powerful blow strikes you clean in your guts. Kakarot appears, driving his elbow into your middle. Yet despite some of the pain bleeding through, the force of the blow knocking you back a step, you remain standing. And immediately try and counter, firing your fastest jab at his head. But your fist passes harmlessly through an afterimage of him just as another heavy blow hits the left side of your head, you seeing his boot appear for an instant before the attack knocks you a couple steps to the side.

“Tch!” you seethe through clenched teeth, planting your feet as he reappears before you, firing a quick half-dozen short shots to your face before again disappearing as you swing at him. He's simply too fast, the Kaio-Ken making him far faster than you can possibly retaliate against. So you don't try, instead crossing your arms and hardening your armor. You pour everything into it, creating your Unmovable Energy Body just as he appears at your right side, firing a left square into your jaw. But this time you don't feel any force through your armor, it absorbing the entire impact now. Which stuns Kakarot as well, his eyes widening in surprise before leaping back a bit.

If it really is what I think it is, we will receive a most imminent asswhooping. HOWEVER, I have a theory. Ultra Instinct's main schtick is that it is pure Id, and allows the user to react to any perceived threat. We haven't pulled out our own ace DDF. Goku cannot see, interact with, or perceive stands. We pretend to be knocked the fuck out or otherwise deemed no longer a threat and then use DDF's MAXIMUM range to clip Goku. Biggest problem is how Karn radiates "danger". Should the worst come, our little friend may be our only ticket to victory.

Your energy explodes, spiraling faster and faster into an infinitesimally small point while the energy shedding launches you down into his beam. You strike his attack head on, your Piercing Fist MkII punching straight into and through his attack! Your world outside your own energy turns into a blinding blue-white light as you charge, quickly descending towards this light's source.
“HRRRR! KAIO-KEN! TIMES! TWENTY!!” Kakarot bellows, and a moment later your attack strikes a wall. Your forward momentum grinds to a halt, stopped completely in your tracks. He STOPPED you! But you're not moving backwards, your piercing force and his repelling energy both seem to somehow be matched! But this seems to surprise him far more than it does you. “WHAT?!”

“HRRRAAAAAAA!!” you roar, pouring even more energy into your technique, fighting for every inch of ground. You slowly start inching forward, grinding your way through his attack, but your progress is slow going. Turning this struggle into a test of endurance you can't afford to lose!

Inch by inch you grind through his beam, drawing closer and closer to the Time Patrol's Kakarot. As the seconds tick by, you burning through ki, you feel yourself getting closer and closer as his figure slowly comes into focus before you. Just a little bit more!

“HRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, digging deep into your own reserves of power and fighting through this massive attack, creeping ever closer to Kakarot. His body is silhouetted by his blazing double auras, standing his ground yet you keep getting closer can almost TASTE his fear. You get the feeling that NOTHING has ever done what you're doing to him, charging through his attack at full power relentlessly. But then you feel it. Suddenly the surge of power fighting you gives out, the density of his beam lessening considerably as you explode forward. Kakarot then ends the attack and leaps away, you unable to turn and chase him. So, instead you end your attack before hitting the ground, slamming fist-first into the crater's center. The ground cracks and splits all throughout the crater from the force of the blow, you raising your head as Kakarot lands a few dozen yards away, chest heaving. “D-Dammit.”

You're left drained, your own power fading and forcing you to draw upon the Soulstone even more, using its stores to replenish your own expended power while catching your breath. Meanwhile Kakarot stands his ground, not approaching as he seemingly catches his own wind.

“I didn't think you. Could stand up to even times twenty.” he calls out between breaths, chest heaving as he struggles for breath. But then he grins mischievously, then to your surprise powers completely down. You can sense his ki again, it no longer radiating with divine power as he looks at you. Pushing yourself upright, you suspect a trick, a ploy to draw you in so he can power back up and counter. But he doesn't approach, arms hanging limply by his sides. “Man, really used up a lot of my power with that one. Don't think I have another blast like that in me.”

Then he straightens his back and takes a deep breath in, closing his eyes. He then exhales, and you immediately feel something's off. His energy turns almost frighteningly calm, like a raging river whose waters suddenly turned calm and smooth as glass. Something's changed with him, something fundamental. But you have no idea what it could be.

“I think its time we put an end to this.” he says, eyes still closed as he just...Stands there; unmoving, eyes shut, not even taking his fighting stance.

Just because in YOUR timeline he doesn't have one, doesn't mean the Time Patrol wouldn't have stolen one of those daggers from a timeline the Supreme Kai of Time erased. So you summon Divine Dragon Force, studying Kakarot for a reaction. But he doesn't move, he doesn't so much as twitch a closed eyelid in response. Perhaps he really can't see your Stand. “We've only got one shot at this.”
“Understood. I will not fail.” your Stand replies, you debating on your approach. After a moment's thought, you decide against trying to fly in or Instant Transmission over to him, as he's proven clearly several times faster than you and also knows Instant Transmission. So it would only stand to reason he knows its weaknesses at least as well as you do.

So, without any flashy blasts or surging power, you simply start walking towards him. After a moment's thought you activate your Energy Body again, shrouding yourself in shielding ki. After all, you have no idea what he's doing, but as you get closer and closer your instincts start sending mixed signals. One moment they'll want you to flee, the next blitz Kakarot and go for a lethal shot. But with whatever he's doing unsettling your instincts, making them unsure, you simply stay the course and keep walking forward. Once you've closed half the distance, he suddenly moves, raising his arms and crouching a bit to retake his fighting stance. Stopping you dead in your tracks a moment as you reconsider.

You hadn't sensed his ki changing at all, no intent to fight from him whatsoever. His body simply... moved. And you remember what Fu had told you, of a technique that surpasses the gods themselves. One you'd almost forgotten about.

“No, it couldn't be. Could it?” you mutter to yourself, trying to decide if you should keep going or change course. But then you hear another massive blast from the battle raging behind you, and know that you don't have a choice. If you turn your back on this guy, you probably won't be alive long enough to regret it. Leaving you only one option. “Stay ready.”
“I am almost in range. Twelve more steps.” your Stand replies, it sounding as nervous as you feel while taking another step. Eleven. No doubt feeling the pressure this man's exuding with his calm confidence. Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven. Just a few more steps now. Six. Five. Four. Only a few more feet to go. Three. Two. One.

Without a word, raise your right fist and let your Stand lunge. Everything rests on this attack.

As Divine Dragon Force lunges forward silently, the first time you've ever seen your Stand do so, for a moment you think this is it. It's going to work. But then Kakarot's body just....Moves. You can't quite comprehend it, his body seemingly slides away through your Stand's attack, slipping completely silently behind you before you've even fully comprehended what happened. Then, SOMEHOW, your entire body feels as if you were put back in the middle of his full power Kaio-Ken assault, hundreds of blows hitting you from all sides as your body thrashes about. It lasts only a few seconds before you're sent flying away. Tumbling head over heels you aren't quite sure which way you went, only that eventually you crash back-first into something solid. And blinking to refocus your eyes over how swimming the world is, you see that Kakarot's upside down walking towards you. No, wait. YOU are upside down in the crater wall, the Time Patroller walking towards you. And still exuding that same eerie calm as before.

“What the hell?” you mutter, pulling yourself from the wall and reorienting yourself. “Did you see that?”
“I never saw him start moving.” your Stand replies, mirroring your own feelings. But its worse than that. You'd had a firm lock on his ki the entire time. Yet never even FELT his body readying an attack. It just....Happened. Kakarot continues walking calmly towards you, deadly serious expression on his face to match his completely calm energy and gleaming silver eyes, and you feel it. Deep down, something inside you warns that this being is on a level you're not ready to compete with. Whatever he's become, you're not ready to fight it.

“You fought well, but you might as well give up.” Kakarot says, none of the earlier joy or eagerness to his tone now. Only a hard, unforgiving edge to his voice as he keeps slowly walking towards you. “You cannot beat what I am now.”
“Oh yeah? And what's that?” you reply, again taking your fighting stance. But as you do Kakarot once again vanishes, you sensing his energy from behind you the same instant that suddenly you feel a sharp, stinging pain on your left cheek. Reaching up with the back of your left hand and brushing it off, you pull your hand away to see blood. You then realize that your Energy Body went down sometime after his attack, perhaps while the world was still spinning. You then turn, staring at Kakarot as doesn't even look at you.

“Give up. You can't win.” Kakarot continues, his attitude normally something you'd fire back against, or get angry about. But this is different. He's not bragging, not 'showing off', he is simply stating the facts plain as day. As you are now, there's nothing you can do.

And with that you re-seal the Supervillain power coursing through your body, another wave of exhaustion slamming down onto your shoulders and nearly knocking you off your feet. But you stubbornly remain standing, once more clenching your fists as you connect your mind to the Soulstone in your boot.

“So I'm going to have to go even! Further! BEYOND!!” you roar, connecting your mind and Soulstone back to the massive Soulstone Crater on Sanghelios, and all the power still lying in wait inside the emerald crystal. You throw caution to the wind, and start drawing ALL of that stone's power directly into your being. “HRRRRRYAAAAAAAAA!!!”

Your emerald aura blazes up wildly, Kakarot remaining standing where he was unphased as your power begins skyrocketing. Drawing upon the Soulstone's ENTIRE stockpile of power all at once is something you've not done, channeling that much power into your body all at once makes your entire body feel like it's going to explode from the pressure. But you keep pulling, drawing more and more might into your being. No matter the cost, no matter what it takes, you are NOT going to lose here! You will NOT let your family down, to leave them at the mercy of the Time Patrol no matter what!

“HYYYRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” you scream in agony, your chest feeling as if its splitting in two as you feel something inside you begin to change. A wall you've felt before, when fighting Freeza, when fighting Lobo, once more. And, this time, you feel it crumble a little more. Your body responds in kind to the power you're drawing in by unleashing that strength hidden within you once more.

And, unlike before, his indifferent attitude is starting to piss you off! “GRRROOOOOOOAAAAAA!!”

As your power continues to build and climb, the entire planet beneath your feet trembles in awe. The sky turns dark, lightning flashing from the storm gathering overhead which pales to the storm raging within. Your head feels like it's going to explode, your hair feeling as if on fire and also being jerked out by the roots at the same time. But that's insignificant to the fire burning your body from inside out, this much power can't be contained, it must be unleashed!

“GRRRRYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

And with that final, ear-splitting cry, you can feel it. Your body is no longer in any of those weaker forms you've used before, this power is beyond anything you've wielded up to now. And as you take a deep breath, sighing out despite how painful your throat feels from the screaming, you can't help but smile. This is what you need, THIS power will help even the odds.

“So, is that the best you've got?” Kakarot asks, still seeming unphased by this tremendous new level of power. So you smirk, relaxing your hands and replying.
“Not yet.”

You then once more undo the seal, letting that Supervillain power course through your veins. This seemingly catches him by surprise, his eyes widening and his arms moving slightly up in a defensive way as you once more combine your might with that of Towa's and Mechikabura's magic, leaning to each side and popping your neck. Your power is rising, overflowing! If you don't release it soon, you feel that it'll tear its way back OUT of your, ripping you to pieces if necessary. So, you decide to release a little bit, to see what this form's got.

“Die.” you say, clenching your right fist in front of you and releasing a small Explosive Wave. Or, rather, what you'd FELT was a small one.

Your power explodes out from your body, filling the entire massive crater in less than a second with your surging power. You can feel Kakarot's body getting flung away from you by your surging strength, thrown backwards up and completely OUT of this hole before you end the attack. It barely makes a dent in the power you've unleashed, yet as your sickening demonic and emerald swirling energy fades you see that you've more than doubled the depths of the crater, and Kakarot is nowhere to be seen.
