Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After rescuing Lobo and a planet's champion from the alien who captured them with Chilli's help, Karn then watched Chaya's battle against the godling known as the Red Knight. After soundly beating her opponent in brutal fashion, Karn returned home and enjoyed some peace time before the emperor returned. When Freeza appeared he wished to speak with Karn first, before dealing in official business with the King. So Karn took Freeza down into the M'lurnian ruins beneath the planet's surface, Karn coming to blows with his ruler. And as we rejoin Karn, you've just discovered that Freeza's actions weigh as heavily on his conscious as they did your wrath, leaving the proud emperor clutching to you while he breaks down.

“What do I do?” Freeza asks, the emperor of the universe clinging to you like a drowning man does floating driftwood while sounding more like a confused child than the man who you swore loyalty to. “How do I fix this? Please, Karn. Tell me what do I do to fix this? How do I make this right?”

As he clings desperately to you, you can't help but feel disgust rising up from your core. Here is the emperor of the universe, the man you'd agreed to fight and die for, cutting such a pitiful image. And looking down at him, from your gut is a rising feeling of disgust. Here is Lord Freeza, groveling at your feet? It makes you sick. He's supposed to be BETTER than this! Is THIS who Freeza really is?

It is time, the one that comes for all fanfics, for the morally reprehensible characters to talk about their feelings. Supremely cringe for all parties involved but y'know what, some things have to be done. We are no strangers to love. You know the rules and so do I. A full commitment is what I'm thinking of. This, its why I think if we bring it up at all, we point out the chance he'll stagnate. We've always known what he was like when we met, taking that just seems....wrong. I can't put the words too it. But if he takes this crutch now, it could seriously backfire on his psyche down the line. Only when he fixes himself should we really consider it. When something went wrong, to himself, he's always had someone else right him. This needs to change.

That relationship only works because of several factors. One, time apart. Meloka does get her time with Karn all to herself. Two, Meloka still feels indebted to Towa for everything she has, for saving her life so many times. Three, that by now Meloka understands that Towa isn't trying to take her Karn away from her. And four, she can't hate any children of Karn, no matter how they were made.

As you look down on him, the image of the unconquerable emperor, the man you'd helped train into the strongest man you know, crumbles in your mind. All you're left with is what he is now; the pathetic, trembling figure before you, clutching onto you for salvation. He clearly thought and still thinks so highly of you, yet that didn't stop him from threatening your son. He didn't even hesitate. Had Guldo not saved Broly, he would be dead. Yet here Freeza is, begging you for forgiveness. He looks so pitiful and pathetic you can't even remain furious, your anger burning itself out.

“Haaaaah.” you sigh out, rage fading. “You're only doing this for yourself, arent' you?”
“Wh-What?” he asks, looking up at you in confusion. But you glare down at him, silencing him as you bring a bit of your rage back.
“I know these feelings you're talking about. But even if I were able and willing to forgive you, you'd still feel the way you do.” you tell him, the emperor's jaw dropping. “Did you ever apologize to Broly for what you did? Or how about Chaya or Chilli, or all my other children. Have you apologized to them for trying to take their brother's life away? Of course not. But here you are, begging me for my forgiveness while you can't even forgive yourself.”

He freezes at this, jaw dropping a bit as he looks up at you in shock.

“You need to stop having an emotional crutch whenever something goes wrong. Your body may be strong, but your heart and soul are weak. When something's gone wrong, you've always had someone else support you.” you continue. “You're floundering because your heart is weak. You've worked hard on honing your body, but you haven't done anything for your soul. You have to find your own way to make peace with what you've done, because right now I can't forgive you.”
“But-!” he starts, again trying to interrupt you. But this only reignites your anger, you shouting at him.
“Did you really think offering me your head would FIX all of this?” you snarl, aura blazing once again. “That may be how you deal with others, but me? ME?! Killing you wouldn't fix things between us, you know better than that!”

Again he's silent, staring up at you.

“I don't know if things between us can ever be made right.” you tell him, clenching your fists. “My family is everything to me, you've seen the lengths I'm willing to go to protect them. And you damn near stole one of them away from me so, so Casually! MY OWN SON!!”

And as you shout, once more your body transforms. Your emerald aura blazes as you grit your teeth, then after a moment take another deep breath, sighing out and reverting back down to your normal form.

And with that you offer your hand to Frieza. He looks down from your eyes to your hand and back, something unexplained in his eyes as he searches your face for an answer.

“Promise me. Right here and now, promise me that you'll never try and harm any of my family ever again.” you tell him, deadly serious. “If you're sincere, then we can at least TRY and work together moving forward. Else, I never want to see you on my planet ever again.”

He immediately reaches out for your hand, but you pull it back, his hand closing on empty air. He looks stunned at this, looking questioningly up at you.

“Only if you really mean it.” you tell him, voice low and dangerous. “If you don't TRULY mean it, if you wouldn't put everything you are on the line, don't shake my hand. Because if you betray me, EVER again, I will not rest. I will make your life a living hell far worse than anything you can even imagine. Swear to me.”

And again you offer your hand. This time Freeza doesn't immediately take it, looking down at his own hand in silence for several moments. At least a minute passes in total silence, before you see his expression change. His eyes close, fist clenching before he opens his hand, meeting your gaze with a serious expression.

“I swear. Upon my life, my empire, everything I have and am, that I will never even attempt to harm your family.” he says, tone serious as he again reaches out, taking your hand. “I won't fail you like that ever again.”

But what do you do?

For a split second you consider using your Stand, to enforce this pact and keep him true to his word. But you instead decide to trust him, to trust in Freeza and take him at his word.

“I hope you don't.” you tell him, maintaining eye contact. You can still feel the wall there between you, but it feels far less vast than it was when you'd both flown down here. And then, right at that moment, someone else speaks up.

“Umm, Lord Freeza? General Karn? Are you both okay?” you hear a woman's voice call out, the two of you turning your heads. Through the broken walls, peering in curiously is one of the two guards from above, Cele. “I heard the fighting stop, so I came down to make sure you both were okay.”

You turn to Freeza, who releases you and takes a deep breath in, then sighs out, turning to face her.

“Yes, we are both still standing.” he tells her, taking a couple steps towards her. “Tell King Vegeta I will be there shortly.”
“Y-Yes sir!” she shouts, saluting before turning and flying out back towards the surface. As she departs Freeza turns back to you, his confident appearance fading as he looks to you with something new behind his eyes.
“Thank you, Karn. For everything.” he says, tone a bit melancholy. “I've never deserved you. But I shall do my best to become a man who deserves having you supporting me.”

Before you can reply he turns from you, flying back out from the way Cele'd gone. Reaching out as he flies, the offered energy sword's handle flying over to his hand as he leaves. But as he does, you call out to him.

“You'd better apologize to Broly.” you call after him as you can clearly sense his ki retreating. “You wronged him even more than you did me.”

He doesn't call back, you waiting a moment before readying yourself to make your own way out. Not by flying out, but instead using your Instant Transmission. So, as you reach out with your ki sense, you feel the locations of those on your world.

Expanding your awareness, first you sense your wife and youngest four are with Queen Cenoria and Prince Vegeta V. Broly is with Princess Koriand'r outside of the city with Leyas and Sarada, while Caulifla is back in the Jiralhanae city. No doubt helping them out with her powers. However, you also sense Chaya and Raditz are with Turles, Ticho, and the twins on the other side of the continent, surrounded by many hundreds of tiny ki signatures. Raven is back on her island, however she's surrounded by several powers similar to her own.

You get an uneasy feeling from the several ki signatures completely surrounding Raven, so decide to travel directly to her. Focusing on her unique ki, you teleport right behind her. As you appear, however, you see a being with the familiar demonic four eyes rushing straight at you! Before you can react he swings, thrusting his right hand's long, blade-like fingers straight into your guts. He then notices you, all four eyes widening in surprise as he starts looking up.

“Who-TSK!” he starts, voice interrupted by his hiss of pain as your grab the demon's wrist in your hand, slowly pulling his blade-like fingers out of your guts before transforming. Growing several feet instantly, you accidentally crush his arm, powdering the bones as he cries out. Yet to your surprise cuts his own arm free, slashing through his own body while leaping back and firing a pair of energy beams from his upper eyes. “Dammit! BURN!”
“HAAAAA!!” you roar, firing back with your own Eye Beams. Which are exponentially stronger than the demon's own, overpowering them almost instantly and piercing through the demon's skull. Killing it instantly. The red-skinned demon collapses, unmoving.

“YOU KILLED JAMES!” a rather rotund demon bellows, belching hellfire from his mouth at you. But such an attack is easily thwarted, as you raise your hand and activate your power with a single word.
“Barrier.” you say, your shield protecting both you and Raven from the hellish fires. Although you doubted she would need protection from something like this, she is still close enough to land within your shield. So while the darker than normal flames try and chew through your energy, you ask over your shoulder, “So, you know these guys?”
“They're my siblings.” she says, firing her dark power out through your Barrier somehow and slamming it into a dark jacket-wearing one with spikes on its shoulders. “Well, half siblings at least. They are Trigon's other children.”

“We are the true heirs to Father's power!” a barefooted demon shouts, rushing through the flames and charging into your Barrier directly at Raven. Who doesn't even hesitate, using the Su Ma to twist around the fast demon's charge. While grabbing him by the arm, wrenching it around behind his back. You hear his shoulder pop audibly, the demon grunting in pain before she turns them both the way he'd come, kicking him square in the back and sending him back outside the shield. “BITCH!”
“They keep showing up every now and again, trying to kidnap me.” Raven continues speaking casually as if nothing'd happened, you ending your Barrier as the flames fade away. “While I didn't need your help, I thank you.”

“Tch. Don't think we won't be back, dear sister.” another demon says, then as one they all are engulfed in hellish flames. Which seemingly burn their bodies away, leaving no evidence they'd even existed at all. Even the dead one's body is gone, Raven sighing out and turning to you.

“Appreciate it. Thanks for looking out.” she says to you as you power back down. “I know you wanted to talk about what happened with Freeza, but-”
“No! I mean, no thank you.” you say, restraining your voice after your first outburst. “Sorry. It's just been, well...”
“It's fine, don't worry about it.” she says, smiling to you. “Friendships can be tough. Especially when someone runs off without saying something important.”

As she says this she looks back up at the sky, telling you that she's no longer talking about your own situation. That's when you realize that Ubo's not back, in fact he's been gone for a while now. It's bee over a year since you last sensed his power, where could he be? And almost as if sensing your thoughts inside your own head she laughs out a bit, shaking her head.

“No, there's no need to try and bring Ubo home.” Raven tells you. “He's just, well... He told me not to tell anyone, but I think you're the only one I can trust with this.”

Immediately you get the feeling that she's been keeping a rather heavy secret. One that you're not entirely sure you want to know.

Her siblings canonically are kind of idiots so them doing this shit makes sense, and the main thing keeping them from trying more often is the fact we murdered the hell out of their dad and they do fear for their lives. Also she has no reason to split into clones here, living with the saiyans and learning under the guardian was a pretty good stabilizing factor in her life, she doesn't have to continuously deal with high stress dumb shit like when she was a super hero; she mostly just has to make sure people don't go to places that get them killed, and deal with idiots once in a blue moon. The best part about the idiots thing is usually some of the strongest people in the universe tends to swing by to deal with shit so it's mostly a hold things off till someone shows up to end the problem.

You debate saying something for a moment, but decide against it. If she trust you enough to tell you something, you'll hear her out.

“He found some rather....Disturbing news.” she says, sounding a bit worried. “He discovered the fate of his people and their homeworld. But it wasn't destroyed by a meteor or comet.”

As she says this, suddenly you get a sinking feeling in your guts. You have a feeling you're not going to like this answer, but already agreed to hear her secret.

“There was a single crashed Kryptonian ship he found in the East Quadrant of the galaxy with recorded footage of the planet's destruction.” she continues, expression darkening. “His planet wasn't destroyed by some natural disaster. It was destroyed deliberately. By King Cold's own hand.”
“Are you sure?” you ask, immediately regretting your words as you say them. She looks at you with a brow raised a moment before opening a portal beside her left shoulder. Reaching through she draws out a small, antique-seeming datapad and holds it out to you.

“See for yourself.” she says, tapping the button on the side to turn the datapad on. The screen comes to life, you watching as a massive ball of energy rises up from a familiar ship. One you know intimately, and could almost see from here. That's YOUR ship, the one King Cold gave to you. Watching on, the mass of energy is sent rocketing down towards the planet, slamming into it. In only a few seconds the entire planet detonates in a massive burst, the shocks from the blast distorting the camera's feed a moment before it cuts off entirely. Once the video finishes Raven deactivates the device before returning it to who knows where, sealing her portal back up before looking back up to you. “Ubo now knows that it was your boss who destroyed his home, who wiped out his entire race.”

“Damn.” you mutter, suddenly realizing why Ubo's been spending more and more time away from you all. If you'd been in his position, and discovered this sort of information out, you aren't quite sure how you would react. No, that's not true. You know damn well how you'd react, you've destroyed planets for far smaller offenses. “So that's what he's been dealing with, huh?”
“Yeah.... This news has been weighing pretty heavily on him.” Raven says, looking down sadly. “I'm not sure how to help him.”

“News like that is pretty heavy. I'm sure it's been weighing on him.” you tell her, trying to comfort your planet's Guardian with a hand on her shoulder. “When he comes back, I'll take some time to talk privately with him.”
“He's not sure he can put his trust you either.” she says, catching you by complete surprise. She sees how stunned you are by this revelation, so continues speaking. “After learning what King Cold has done, his opinions on everyone has changed. Especially those who were really close with him, like yourself, Lord Freeza, and Lord Cooler. He's been shielding his thoughts, but I can tell he's not sure if you are his enemy or not as well, waiting for your moment to strike. As if he thinks you're going to get the order from King Cold to take him out and finish the job.”

“What?” you exclaim, shocked. “He doesn't really think that, does he?”

But her expression tells you everything that you need to know. From her face, you can tell that Ubo truly believes that of you. Which, you can't lie, really hurts.

“When he returns, I'll talk with him.” you tell her after sighing out, rubbing your head. You miss having problems you could just punch away. “I want to reach out now, but things like this need to be handled face-to-face.”
“Like your meeting with Lord Freeza?” she asks, giving you a knowing look.
“Exactly. I just hope it goes as smoothly with Ubo.” you tell her, Raven giving you an empathetic nod. “Let me know when he's coming back, if he tells you before I can sense his approach.”
“Of course.” she replies, clearly looking relieved. Perhaps she'd worried that you'd be trying to reach out to him now, or directly traveling to him with Instant Transmission. “Thank you for understanding, Karn.”

You share a nod with her before raising your right hand to your forehead, once more expanding your ki sense out. But immediately you realize things aren't how you'd left them before. You aren't sure how you hadn't felt it when it happened, but not only have Leyas and Sarada transformed into their Demonic Oozaru forms, but Broly has transformed as well! Immediately you transform back into your Ascended Berserker form, focus on the much, much smaller presence of Koriand'r and teleport directly between her and the rampaging Oozaru.

“-y're so-” you hear her say, then gasp in surprise as you appear. “Wha-General Karn?”
“How many times to I have to say it, Koriand'r? Just call me Karn.” you say with a lighthearted tone, turning back towards her. “Or do I have to start calling you 'Princess' again every time you do it?”
“Sorry, sorry.” she apologizes, laughing a bit. “Hard not to, when you show up out of nowhere like this.”

“GRRROOOAAAAAAAR!!” Broly bellows, you turning at the sound of his fist slamming into something. Just in time to see his massive, green-furred fist slamming into Sarada's face. As he knocks her down, Leyas attacks from the other side, swinging a heavy lariat into his collar and knocking him over despite the gap in power. As Broly falls he turns, firing up a powerful turning kick that forces Leyas to block. Even through his Guard Leyas is sent stumbling back, Broly landing in a clumsy roll before tumbling back up to his feet. As he does, both the twins get their feet back under them, standing at the ready. Looks like they're ready to keep going.

“How long have they been going at it?” you ask her, watching as the twins share a nod, rushing your son from both sides.
“They only started a couple minutes ago.” she answers, watching the trio brawl with an odd look on her face. “He asked if I wanted to see his full power today, so of course I did. He then called your old teammates, and asked them to help out while you were busy fighting Lord Freeza.”

As she says this, you wonder how your confrontation with him played out here on the surface. But instead of voicing your thoughts aloud you continue listening to the foreign ex-royal speak.

“I hadn't known your son possessed such power.” she says with an oddly warm tone, looking towards him as he continues to fight the much older Saiyans two on one. “He's quite impressive. Despite being only a couple years younger than I, he's so much stronger than warriors who've fought alongside you for years. I think he may even be stronger than my sister.”

Well? What do you do?

He's just struggling for control right now.” you tell her, Koriand'r looking from him towards you curiously. “Those transformed Oozaru forms, like the Golden Oozaru are only transitory forms. A middle form until they master control of it to achieve the true power.”
“True power?” she asks, eyes sparkling. “Wait, isn't that...?”
“The power King Vegeta uses? Yes, the very same.” you tell her. “Once Broly masters his control over the Oozaru form, he'll reach a new plateau of power. That form is around eight times stronger than this one.”

“EIGHT TIMES!” she exclaims, shocked. “No way!”
“It's quite something.” you tell her as Broly throws Sarada straight up into the air, only to take a shoulder charge square to the chest. Yet he keeps his balance, planting his feet as Leyas's charge knocks him sliding backwards. Broly then slams his fists down onto the older Saiyan's shoulders, knocking him down to a knee.
“GRRAAAAAA!!” Broly roars, kicking Leyas square in the chest and knocking him backwards. As he does, Sarada drops down in a massive two handed axe handle, smashing the heavy blow down on him. Knocking your son down to a knee, he exhales through clenched teeth. Yet still has the presence to retaliate, immediately springing upright into a powerful uppercut that launches Sarada back, crashing down on top of her brother.

“He's so strong...” she says, more to herself than you as your son continues to fight. As you look to her, her eyes are almost sparkling as she watches your son rise back up to his feet. As he does, both Leyas and Sarada untangle themselves and stand once again, seeming only a little worse for wear. But then she notices you looking, blushing slightly as she twiddles her fingertips. “Umm, well, I mean...”
“Haha, don't worry about it.” you say with a laugh, reaching out and patting her on the head. “Not like I haven't noticed how much time the two of you have been spending together since you got here.”

“Uhh wh-what are you talking about?” she asks, trying to sound innocent as she looks almost nervously up at you. “He hasn't done anything wrong.”
“Relax, Kori.” you tell her, using the nickname you've heard your children call her. Especially Broly. “I can tell he likes you.”
“N-W-Wait, he does?” she asks, her sudden tone change catching you completely off guard. “What has he said he likes about me?”

“Dammit Broly.” you mutter, raising your right hand to your forehead. With a moment's thought, you teleport over to Broly appearing right in front of his face. Which catches him by surprise, at least you assume so judging by how his eyes widen at your appearance. Then his brows furrow as you fly up, dashing up past his hands and grabbing onto his massive Event Horizon. You hear his growl from below you, but ignore it as you start pushing his massive attack back.

“GRRRAAAA?” you hear him growl, confused as you increase your own power. Then with a roar launch his attack away from your planet.
“HAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, shoving with all your might and sending the orb out of your planet's atmosphere. As it flies away you sigh out, relaxing a bit when suddenly your instincts kick in, warning you of danger. You turn your head, then from the corner of your eye see a massive hand swinging at your back. With only a moment to act you turn, spinning around his hand with the movements of the Su Ma. “Tch!”

“RAAAAA!” Broly roars, following his left slap with a heavy overhand right. Forcing you to block, crossing your arms to absorb the heavy blow. Even at only around a fourth of your own power, his heavy blow's mass sending your soaring back down to the ground. You flip back several times, landing on your feet as he drops down, slamming both fists with his fingers laced together down on you. But this time you're ready.
“HAAAAAAA!!” you roar, throwing both hands up and catching his heavy attack. The ground shatters beneath your feet, yet you remain standing. You stop him, then bending your knees a bit kick off the ground, shoving back against him. You push back up into the air, knocking Broly off balance as you rise up into the air of a height with his head. “HRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!”

Well, it looks like you're a part of this sparring match now, whether you wanted to join in or not.

“GRRROOOOOAAAAAAAR!!” Broly roars, emerald aura blazing up to life around him.
“Heh. Alright, let's go.” you mutter, accepting his challenge. Clenching your fists, you let your own green aura explode out from you with a shout. “HRRAAAAAAAA!!”

Your power explodes out around you, the sudden force creating a shock wave that knocks even Broly back a half step. You hear Koriand'r shouting from somewhere off to your left, her voice surprised as well. But your focus is on your son standing before you, beating his chest in challenge.

“Alright, let's see what you can do.” you say, taking your ready stance. Broly then raises both arms above his head, firing a powerful beam of ki from his mouth at you. But you were ready.”
“Barrier.” you say, raising a single hand and activating your energy shield. His beams slams into your shielding ki, sliding off without finding purchase enough to push against your energy. His energy doesn't pierce through your own, your Barrier protecting you against the devastating blast. He ends the attack after a few moments, you dropping your Barrier as well with a smirk. “Alright son, let's do this.”

As your Barrier fades, you know which technique you're going to use next. Focusing on your own power while crossing your arms, you begin expanding your power. Not increasing, but expanding. And as you do so, your body grows to match. Larger and larger your body expands, armor growing to match as your Gigantification scales you up. You grow until you become the same size as your Oozaru son, who takes an uncertain step back. Then, as you reach full size, you lower your arms, meeting his gaze.

“Alright son, show me what you've got.” you say, your voice deep and booming as you retake your fighting stance.
“GRRROOOOOAAAR!!” Broly bellows, launching himself towards you. Bracing yourself, you absorb the heavy right punch with your left forearm, then catch his left hammerfist by the wrist with your right hand.
“HAAHH!” you shout, raising your right and kicking him square in the guts with a powerful side kick. Your heavy counter knocks him backwards, heels digging twin trenches through the ground until he slides to a stop. But you noticed that you don't move quite as fast as when you were smaller, it taking a quarter second longer than you'd thought it should.

“Guuh! GRAAAAAAA!!” he bellows, raising his head and firing another mouth blast at you. Again you create your Barrier around you, blocking the hit as Broly gets back up to his feet. Then he ends the blast, kicking off the ground into a high jump. You end your Barrier as he closes in, fingers laced together overhead as he swings them down. “GRROOOOOAAAR!!”

Wordlessly you cross your arms overhead, bracing yourself as his fists swing down. Slamming down square against your crossed arm guard with tremendous, world-cracking power.

KABOOM

The ground shatters beneath your feet yet you remain standing, holding his entire weight up on your guard. He then draws his right leg back, readying a kick at your head. With only a moment to react you shove him back away from you as he kicks, Broly flipping backwards as his foot swings at your head. You lean back, trying to avoid the kick, but don't wholly avoid it. His kick connects with your chin, barely catching you and snapping your head back.

“Tch!” you exhale, staggering back to catch your balance as Broly flips backwards, landing on all fours. You get your feet back underneath you as he rises, the two of you facing each other down.

But you're not going to give him any time to catch his breath or prepare, immediately blitzing forward. Broly swings at you with a wild right, you blocking the overhand with your left forearm while firing off a straight right into Broly's snout.

“Gaaaa!” Broly exclaims in shock, your hit staggering him back a step. Which you immediately follow up with a left uppercut to his guts, cracking his already stretched-out armor. “Gurrrrah. RAAAAA!!”

Broly then counters with a left hook for your head, which you block with your right forearm. Then immediately counter with a left jab that again lands solidly on his snout. As Broly staggers back he throws a wild right, you blocking with your left forearm as you draw it back from the punch while hitting him with a straight right also square to the snout. As he staggers back you again fire off a right side kick, your stretched boot slamming into his cracked armor and shattering it. Chunks of armor rain down on the cracked ground as Broly staggers back, tripping over his feet and falling down onto his backside. Yet he doesn't just sit as he falls, turning it into a back roll instead. He rolls over onto all fours, springing up off the ground as you charge forward. His right fist draws back but you're faster, blitzing in and slamming your braced right elbow square into Broly's snout once more.

“Grrrroooorw!” he howls in pain, hands going unconsciously to his face. Leaving his body exposed, you taking advantage with a barrage of heavy blows to his body before ending your combo off with a heavy, rising left uppercut. The force of which lifts your son up and off of his feet, sending him into the air. But you're not done yet, kicking off the ground and blitzing up after him. As he tumbles through the air you fly past him, turning and lacing your fingers together and raising them overhead as he flies close. Then, once he's in range, you unleash a heavy two handed axe handle square to his back.

“HAAAAAAA!!” you roar, fists slamming into his back. Again your blow cracks his armor, Broly howling as he's knocked down to the ground. He crashes down to the ground hard, not immediately getting back up to his feet. You fly down, landing beside his body as he starts pushing himself upright. He's clearly struggling, but not done yet.
“Grrrrrr. Haaaaaarrrrrgh.” Broly snarls, turning his head towards you. However, you can tell he doesn't recognize you at all.

How would "King Kong" have even been born if it was the latter case? Saiyans are durable, but not THAT durable.

Could be that he was born in his base form like any other Saiyan but just got stuck after his first transformation on his adoptive homeworld. Though I guess the much more plausible explanation would be that he's a regular Saiyan and people on said planet haven't made the connection between the feral superhuman living in the jungle and the giant ape that only appears during full moons.

You debate on continuing to spar with him, but instead have another idea. Turning towards Koriand'r, you call out to her.

“Hey Kori, come down here.” you call, surprising the Tamaranean ex-princess. She complies as Broly continues to rise, body trembling as he pushes himself up onto his hands and knees. She flies over beside you, coming to a stop beside your head. “Would you fly down over to him, and try talking to him? He doesn't recognize me right now, but perhaps he'll recognize you?”

“Umm, well, I can try.” she answers, givnig you a nod before flying down over towards him. Broly sees her flying down, your senses all on high alert. You're ready to intervene should Broly attack her, ready to lunge forward as she flies down towards his face. “Broly? Are you in there?”
“Grrrrrrrr!” he growls, but doesn't immediately attack her. So she presses forward, reaching out carefully and placing her hands on his snout as she keeps talking.
“It's me, Koriand'r. Remember me?”

“GrrrrrRRRRRRR.” he growls, a bit more intensely at her. But she doesn't back down, instead growing more confident.
“I thought you were going to show me your real power today.” she says, flying up and laying down on his snout while looking up at him with her wide green eyes. “Aren't you gonna do that? Or is this all you've got?”
“Grrrrrr! GRRRROOAAAAAAAAA!!” he bellows, emerald aura blazing up around him once more. His sudden surge of power blasts Koriand'r back, you reaching out and catching her with one of your still-large hands. But Broly leans back, roaring to the world as he raises both arms, power growing by the second. But then his body begins changing. His viridescent aura begins glowing from INSIDE his body as well, turning his entire Oozaru frame a radiant green. “GRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

Suddenly Broly's eyes widen, recognizing the woman floating in the air in front of her. He freezes in shock, staring up at her. He then clutches his head, howling in what sounds like pain.

“GRRAAAAAA! GRROOOAAAAAR!!” he bellows, staggering a couple steps back from her as his power goes wild.
“B-Broly? Karn, what's going on?!” she shouts worriedly, turning towards you. But you can't look away from your son, watching as he continues screaming out. His body glows brighter and brighter, then to your shock suddenly begins shrinking down. “What's happening?”
“Looks like you were the key.” you tell her, focusing your own power and quickly shrinking back down to your normal size. She sees this and flies down beside you, landing to your right as Broly falls, dropping down to all fours. That's when you see it, his colors change. Just for a moment, for a flicker his emerald fur changes. His body's fur turns a pinkish red while his hair turns black, changing back after that split second.

“The key to what?” she asks you, sounding even more worried at your apparent lack of concern. “What's happening to him?”
“He's ascending.” you tell her, his colors flickering to red and black once again. “You did it, you got through to him.”
“What the hell is going on?!” King Vegeta shouts, you turning and seeing him, accompanied by Lord Freeza, the Ginyu Force, Nappa, Bardock, Queen Cenoria and Meloka, as well as several of the Royal Guard and others who'd followed due to the commotion. “Hold on. Isn't that....?”

“GRRRAAAAAAAAAAA!!” Broly roars once again, colors flickering as his body continues shrinking. His Oozaru muzzle changes back into a normal face, his body returning to its more normal proportions as his colors change for the last time, your son raising both hands overhead and roaring out into the sky. “HRRAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

Your son's done it. Somehow, with Koriand'r help, he's managed to control his Emerald Oozaru power, ascending far past your own strength to reach the level of a Primal Saiyan. But as he lowers his arms and opens his eyes, staring up at the group who'd arrived with King Vegeta, suddenly your instincts warn you that he's about to attack!

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After having confronted Freeza about his actions during the Battle of Namek, Karn and Freeza came to an understanding before the Saiyan traveled via Instant Transmission to the Guardian Raven's side, assisting her in battle against her demonic half siblings. With their power combined they repel the demons, only for Karn to learn the dark secret of Ubo's past. Afterwards, Karn meets up with Koriand'r, who is watching Broly show off his Emerald Oozaru form's power. Which devolves into a fight between father and son until he recognizes Koriand'r, ascending from Emerald Oozaru into his Primal Saiyan form for the first time. But as we rejoin Karn, you sense your son's sudden bloodlust as he looks up at the group.

“Freeza.” Broly says, voice barely above a whisper. But you see his fists clench, so hard in fact you actually hear his knuckles pop. He looks like he's barely restraining his rage, eyes focused on Freeza flying up above you all. “FREEZA.”
“BROLY! You did it!” Koriand'r calls out, taking several steps forward. His attention is diverted from the emperor to her, you feeling that aura of bloodlust fading from around him. “You really unlocked a new power!”
“Kori? Y-Yeah. I think I did.” he replies, his attention diverting from Freeza to her, clenching and unclenching his right fist. “Thanks to you, I was able to get control back.”

“I am so glad to hear it.” she says, beaming at him. “But how strong does this form make you?”
“Watch and see.” he answers, you feeling his bloodlust return. He then turns and looks up to Freeza and the others once more, golden aura blazing as sparks dance around him. His eyes focus on the emperor, then glances through the others there until he spots Guldo. Then Broly smirks, raising his right hand and pointing a single finger at Lord Freeza. And without a word, fires a Death Beam! You turn, following the path of the beam only for Freeza to simply be gone. Looking around, you see him floating a few yards higher than everyone else now. And Guldo is flying there beside him, exhaling. Which is when Broly attacks, blitzing the emperor and closing that massive gap before anyone can blink.

“Wha-?!” is all Freeza can say before Broly, fingers laced together up over his head, slams them both down onto Freeza's purple gem-like dome. Sending him crashing down towards the ground near you and Koriand'r.

As the two of them stare each other down, no one present making a sound, your first thought is to leap out between them immediately. However, after a moment's thought choose to restrain yourself instead, standing where you are and not moving. But you remain ready to interfere should your son go too far.

“You tried to kill me.” your son says through clenched teeth, glaring down at him. “You tried to murder me. I trusted you.”
“Yes. Yes I did that.” he replies, not standing up. “And no, I won't blame being under mind control for that. I did it.”

Broly clenches his fists at this, arms trembling a bit as he stares down at Freeza. You can almost FEEL his anger rising as his emerald aura blazes up. The entire planet trembles at your son's rising fury, but Freeza isn't phased. In fact he begins rising up to his feet, standing tall yet looking diminutive before Broly's massive transformed frame.

“I made that mistake. And I've regretted it ever since.” Freeza says, standing perfectly relaxed in the face of Broly's rage. “I was trying to make your father angry, to get him to transform and give me the fight with him I have been wanting. But now, it seems you wish to give me this battle instead. SHYAAA!!”

And with a shout, Freeza transforms into his Golden form. Pale skin turns golden, aura blazing like a golden inferno around him. Their auras smash into each other's, creating visible sparks as their energies clash for dominance.

“So, what do you say? Want to go?” Freeza asks him, grinning cockily. “Give me your best shot.”

You're beginning to worry for Broly instead of Freeza, when suddenly Broly's aura vanishes entirely. Without a word he turns and starts walking away, catching the emperor by surprise.

“Go fuck yourself.” Broly calls out, not looking back as he walks away from the emperor. Freeza looks shocked, jaw dropped as he stares at your son walking away from him.
“Wh-What?” Freeza says, shocked so badly he stutters at this. “Hold on! Where are you going?”

“Anywhere else.” your son replies, not looking back at him. “You haven't learned a damn thing.”

“I gave you a chance to apologize for trying to MURDER me for no reason other than to hurt my dad. But no, all you can think about is yourself.” Broly says, his words cutting. Freeza seems completely stunned by your son's words, unable to speak for the next several seconds. “I never want to see you again.”
“Broly...” Freeza says, completely stunned. He doesn't even seem to notice how close to losing control of his anger your son is, lip curled and arms trembling as he glares down at Freeza. But as this is going down, suddenly a mind reaches out to your own, panic immediately flooding through the mental link.

“Dammit, Karn I need help! Please, he's going to kill me.” Arctus thinks to you, his desperation and fear bleeding through the telepathic connection. “Hurry.”

Well? What do you do?

“Broly, we have to go! NOW!” you shout, raising your right hand to your forehead as you dash forward. He turns towards you, Freeza still too stunned by your son's words to retort. Hell, you don't even think he hears you as you rush towards the two of them. “Trouble.”
“Okay.” he replies, you grabbing onto his arm while focusing on Arctus's ki.
“Karn? Wha-?” Freeza starts, but before he can finish you've already left New Salda behind. The world changes, transforming from your lush, green world to a city on fire. It reminds you of so many battles of your early PTO career, resembling a city destroyed by the might of rampaging Oozaru, but you don't have time to look around. As you appear beside Arctus, the warrior laying on the ground beside you, you see what look like your own Guided Eye Beams flying towards him, albeit on a seemingly erratic path.

“BARRIER!” you shout, activating your shield around the three of you. The emerald sphere hardens just before the beams impact it, both slamming into your shield with tremendous force. “Tch! I can't hold this back much longer, grab him Broly! We have to move!”
“Right!” your son calls as you put everything you've got into your Barrier, yet you can feel it giving. As your son picks up the injured ally, your shield cracks.
“GO!” you shout, ending the shield and crossing your arms before you. You put all of your ki into your Unmovable Energy Body. As your energy swells, the beams slam into your chest and explode.

KABOOOOOM

Everything in your vision is consumed by the blast, leaving you in a smoke cloud. So you power down your Unmovable to just the normal Energy Body, sweeping your right hand to blow the smoke away. Revealing a massive figure floating before you, dozens of strange, winged creatures flying around behind the dark-skinned giant. His eyes glow red with malice, this being before you radiating power and confidence. But you can't get any reading on his actual ki, this being before you not having any you can sense. Which can mean only one thing: whatever this being is, it isn't mortal.

“Who are you?” you ask, the being stopping his flight and looking down at you.
“I am entropy. I am death.” the figure says, hovering before you menacingly. “ I am Darkseid.”
“Why are you here?” you ask, not backing down as you sense your son's ki rushing further away from you to get Arctus clear. You just need to hold this thing off until Broly comes back, ready to back you up. “This world isn't yours to take.”
