You are Sidridijika [The Harbringer of Miracles] the white Magus, a crystal dragon. A young one, hatched in the early spring ten months ago. Not a wyrmling anymore, but still far from adulthood.
Last, but not least, your Strategy prowess, developped since you are an hatchling thanks to a cabinet filled with miniatures of soldiers from all the world's armies and a book detailling their forces and weaknesse; gifted reluctantly by your Mother.
Your defining features are your Arcanic affinity; the legacy of your draconic ancestor, your Presence; inherent to your crystaline blood, Your Flight mastery, the way you broke out of your egg, and your Breath, light element multi shaped tool.
You started a conflicting relationship with your litter. However, circumstances made you closer as you had to team up to survive the dreaded dragon hunters, which killed Father. Now you only have your prized crystal necklace as a memento: an extraplanar space you can fill with your own things, allies, or even unwilling enemies after an arcanic push.
What about Mother? Well, some recent third eye vision might explain her behavior as natural and normal Draconic hatching mindwarp, and you decided to go look for her. More on that later.
Now you have bounded as a pack with Little green, the hard headed and tough fighter emerald dragon, Little Purple, the cunning and tinkering Amethyst dragon and Little blue, your favorite, alchemy-gifted, fighting-deficient, mind-reader favorite sister.
You luckily found really fast a location suitable for a lair worthy of your Pandraconium : a fallen dwarven hold, invaded with skavens, home of a Griffin and her cubs, which now have left the nest.
You drive out most of the skavens, with the help of chaos warrior you tricked to fight for you until their death, then become friend with the monster of the third floor.
You recruited nearby humans to serve as canon fodder against the rat tide coming right for your lair. The humans were lead by a young noble, Hector, that tamed one of the griffin cub, Vaillant.
Hector proceed to tie a deep relation with you, becoming your guardian. You bailed him out several time, until he saved your life by defeating countless undead while you were out after a demon hunt.
He proceeded to transform into a worthy, then unstoppable fighter, thanks to the power brought by your link on one hand, and the runic relic he found on the other, leading two squads of battle-proven Errant Knights.
You then acquired your first inhabitant, an human girl named Agathe you healed from a condition crippling her mental abilities, and hope to turn into a Dragon Priestess, whatever that means.

You met some highborn elves and a dragon faithful to their cause, which lead to a name-giving ceremony for the four or you.
Your siblings have been named Verthicha (The Mountain), Throdenslemoni (Of Many shapes), and Wanotreyxkaiv (The Princess)
You also recruited a master Runesmith, Borri Ironbrow, and one thing leading to an other, Urist Fonderferson the steel smith and Thurmoum, the Orichalcum smith. You also have stolen the whole dwarven orichalcum reserve and kidnapped their king, corrupted by chaos. Strangely, the bearded Axe-crazy people doesn't seem to take goodly your benevolence.
After a few battles, you succesfully routed skaven, dwarven and undead forces several times. Your sibling acquired their own guardians :
Kvar the dwarven child, Verthicha's Mountainborn'
Chadlin the snotlin, Verthicha's bedrock's steadiness'
Edwyrd the dexterous highborn elf, Throdenslemoni's Infiltrator
Gwendolyne the Empire Noble, Wanotreyxkaiv's Gracious Ruler
Hector overreacted to the loss of one of his fodder knight, but this ain't a story about them anyway.
You are slowly tuning your lair to your taste and need, with the crafting of the Three-Moon Astrolabus, the Orichalcum Scepter, and the Glass Pannel flooring, respectively enhancing your Divination, Light Magics and Breath attacks
Right now, you are on a quest to find Mother.
Well, it started like this. But dwarves saw you, captured you and Throdenslemoni, you escaped, saved your sister, and try to stage a coup at their hold totally not out of spite but for their greater good.

>Crit fail in Breath-Hunting
The stars are beautiful. This thought have bounced a thousand time in your head tonight. It distracted you from hunting, and you've been flying for several hours, remembering how far you've come.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTWOAJJ9s1g
This is a complete disaster, one that will have consequences on your stamina.
>White will suffers one level of exhaustion
Back to the camp, the dwarves are asleep around a campfire's embers, with a good chunk of a big-roasted something remaining.
"You've been out for a long time. Found an old treasure?
- Sort of.
- I'll share the meat with you, but you have to share the riches with me. It's fair?
- Not really, you have this treasure too. Memories.
- Like when we shared hunt's spoils as hatchling. Or you share your necklace's safe space despite me and Verthicha being mean instead of sending us on our way as safer diversions.
Good memories."

You'll have to take decisions about new day. Jerking around in the hills and forest didn't got you anything, and might not give anything today either.
>Jerk around in the hills and forest anyway. Find the beehives.
>Go in the hold frontally, kill and maim anything in the way, and Coup Lenopaon style.

The weather is nice, the forest is welcoming. That almost makes you forget your lack of sleep.
However, after two hours in the woods, a voice is heard among your little troop.
"What are we exactly doing?
- Looking for the beekeeperrr, to prrovide an alibi for you guys on why you dezzerrted, to infiltrrrate the hold.
- Yeah, that doesn't look like it works. Either we do something real, or I'm out

Wait, could we roll one more perception dice if our sister helps? She can fly too.
>>
>>5518113
>Write-in what you're doin'
Coffee anon here with my sleep demons. Why are we after this one bee keeper guy again? Hes just a bee keeper. Instead why not go chat up some scouts to convince to join us? Or, ask our two dwarven friends here if there are any above group outposts? Scout posts? Places above ground for dwarves to alert the hold of things....you know what I mean. If that doesnt work then I vote we attempt another miracle.
>>
>>5518125
This seems like a good idea. Target isolated outposts to convince of our goal and smiggle ourselves and loyalists in with a Shiftchange. Then continue our spreading of the word of overthrowing the greedy thanes.
>>
>>5518113
I think it might be netter to start looking for more isolated patrols and trying to get them on our side.
If we can recruit someone quickly enough, they might be able to return to the keep and work as an insider.
Getting a priest or lower ranked noble eventually is our best bet in the long term, but it will be harder.

>>
>>5520805
maybe he could be. On the lookout for a proper Lord or Lady to serve i would guess. And with his stats he is likely very survivable.

But in the End it is QM's decision since i did not go as in depth as i did with Claire or our good Edgelord part Ork Julius Carnelion

he would also get along quite well with Claire i would imagine. Sharing tips for cooking and unusual ingredients.

While looking for more dwarves to corrupt, you stumble on a dwarf fit with armor and weaponry. Another guard.
>64 : partial success
Seeing you, his first reflex is to draw his axe and shout for reinforcement. But he stops right on his track upon seeing his comrade on your side.
"Fili?"
-No, Bili. I'm Kili.
- Y'a aint dead? Ya join da wyrm?
- Let me bring you up to speed...
Are they born as a caste of soldiers, with similar names? Are those sworn names? Is that mere luck? The mystery lingers while your co-conspirator enroll one more dwarf in your revolution.
Happy with yourself, your bigger party goes toward the meeting point, while you wonder about dwarf naming peculiarities.
>91 : Frank success
To be met with a collection of ten foragers which have joined your sister.
Looks like the common dwarf can be swayed fast enough. Another proof of the uneasiness plaguing that hold.
However, dwarves are loyal. This can go awfully wrong, when the Thane will come back. And the dwarves closer to the power, or benefiting from the greed, will be a sure obstacle.
Despite everything, your little conspiracy looks like it goes well.
>... Well enough to let it run on its own. You have places to go, people to meet, time to move on.
>You have enough inside dwarves. Missing one and dragons in the necklace, foragers inside, Morph Purple as Bili, go purge the command
>Infiltrate as stated above, keep corrupting dawis. You have to rock up those numbers.

>>

>Infiltrate as stated above, keep enlightening dawis. You have to rock up those numbers.
>>
>>5520810
Well, I was thinking beyond just their love of cooking, because the way I wrote Grudim, his food were a bit close to accidental alchemy, giving buffs and the like, since I was trying to rip off Grom the Pounch.
So someone that has an interest in both alchemy and cooking would be curious about it
>>
>>5520842
oh right. The Goblin eating a Troll uncooked and surviving. Funny story.

I was thinking Claire because she likes to use unusual ingredients which could possibly come close to Alchemy.
>>
But now I'm imagining a feast with Allonoso, Claire and Grudim cooking together, at the same time helping eachother and butting heads on the way things should be done.
Some times it's good to have a bit of comic relief. I used to dislike greenskins when I got introduced into warhammer, but now they are my favorite.
>>
>>5520819
>Infiltrate as stated above, keep purifying dawis. You have to rock up those numbers.
We do not “corrupt”. We “purify”. This is an important if arbitrary distinction since we’re fighting chaos here.

>>5520819
>Infiltrate as stated above, keep corrupting dawis. You have to rock up those numbers.
We need more soldier types plus we need some dwarfs who have influence like priests and smiths and such. Ask the dwarves for possible candidates to join us.

I guess the Citrus joke ended up being true.
My head canon is now that their family land produces limes, lemons, oranges, tangerines and grapefruit, and they only became rich recently because of scurvy protection.
Boat knight probably knows them.
>>
>>5521095
Boat knight and citrus knights probably have some form or relation, be it trading partners or friends. They definitely deal with each other due to boat night's family's capacity to ferry citrus goods, and citrus knight's goods protecting sailors from scurvy with their fruits and with grog. Grog or scrumpy. What ever that diluted booze sailors drink.

Boniface and who else?
Yeah I know these are knights and not errants but I just assumed QM grouped them together to make it easier to know who is where instead of having to keep tabs on them all because that would be impossible
>>
>>5521146
Oh, I forgot Boniface died. That's atleast 3 then
I meant the asshole that was with Hector initially, before the first round of knighposting, that decided to charge an army and disappeared.

no your right. Mathias is the Captain of the B Team yeah. We should maybe ask for more Errants that might be trustworthy to help secure our position in the future.

So yeah that should read Nicholas.

Robert Baatheon.... is he from some book? Sounds vaguely familiar.

Ah, that show where a mafia family sat around a table eating, when a guy who piloted a boat into a hurricane came into their winter cabin and then asked whether they wanted the red, blue, or green ending before it cut to black?

Yeah. Good show up until the end. I could be misremembering it though, I’ve blocked it out pretty well.

Its Homebrew. Their BBEG is an ancient magician wishing to return his long since destroyed home to a proper place after an infernal bargain resurrected him long after the Kingdoms fall. For that he ressurrects the Kingdoms old nobility until he can transfer their power to himself to take control of the Kingdom ancient Golem Armies and elevate himself into the Place of Godking over the lesser races.

Right now my players are invading a lair of their BBEG that was camouflaged as a caravan resting spot with an Inn, several small shops and all covered by a big wall to keep out "Animals". They want to sabotage the Spellscrollprdouction Operation there and after fooling the commander of the local Garisson that they were sent by the owner they were allowed to go into the underground parts. Where they encountered some pretty dangerous monstrous Guards which they defeated but only killed one off. Now they are on a time Limit to finish the disruption before the Garisson or more such monstrous Guards come down on top of their head.

Interesting. Here is how my last session of Curse of Strahd went
Players got Ireena out of Strahd's dirty hands. Strahd didn't understand and invited them to the castle. They stroke a deal - tell him where she went and they can wander around in the castle with Rahadin as a tour guide, or don't and die. They did, Strahd got a bit mad, they went out, walked 15 minutes before raising Leomund's tiny hut. They woke up on the castle drawbridge, with Strahd having raised adventurer Vampyrean to great them : a werewolf thief to match the bard having a bad time with wolves, a Druidess for the heavy-armored priest that doesn't like heat metal that much, a vampyromancer for the ice draconic sorcerer. The ranger's nemesis was the post sign.

They won way too easily. Next time they'll be ambushed by 4 tortle Kensei Monk, each equipped with 2 or 3 tactical Vampireberries and full sacs of ball bearing.

Petit Dieu, soon to be squire to Sir Hector.
A young child who one day stumbled upon Griffinmount, a bloodied muddied amnesiac mess. Through the kindness of his sponsored mentor, the child joined the knight as his squire, always there to aid his elder to the best of his abilities, especially through his abilities. Though his circumstances were unfortunate, one could consider him blessed by The Lady herself. A mane of hair purer than the whitest snow, eyes as kind as sunshine, and a soul suffused *her* light, it is no wonder that young Dieu was gifted a fragment of her magic in the form of healing.
Though at times this squire of Hector may be prideful, or greedy, or a massive trickster, he is kind and considerate where it matters.

This is my disguise for White if he ever wants to pretend to be a human, or have an excuse on how to fight like a humanoid from Hector. Fuckin, the first hint was in the name. It literally means "Little Dragon" in french.
b.s. Pic is some random anime child I found off the internet.

In the hopes to make the DC lower, we should communicate with our new gaggle of allies and ask them about the soldiers, smiths, and priests they know: who they are certain are unsatisfied with the corrupt government. If not those people, then people close to them that are dissatisfied, then they would influence the people of interest through either familial relations, peer pressure, or just fucking smacking the back of their heads for not seeing the demon possessed dwarves.

today my players faced several invisible Quasits using Spellscrolls. From Rays of Frost and Fairy Fire to Fireball there was a gauntlet while a Phoenix Pyromancer charged a Fire Tornado to incinerate everything around himself and on the same Level as he.

They actually managed to talk him down and get some more information on their BBEG while securing several Spellscrolls. Sadly they later enraged the Tavernkeeper who also turned out to be a Deathless monstrosity though they drove her off. Then they plundered the bar, despoiled her room and stole her diary before leaving as quickly as they could. so yeah. all in all a succesful session with around six encounters both phyiscal and social.... and the night after leaving the Rest stop there will be a nice surprise by a very pissed of Alchemist that they stole several expensive things from not too long ago

You have a hearty meal, that Maxu says it is whipe Vine bread, with a plump helmet stew adorned with various Caverneous game, concluding the meal with some sweet Pods oat biscuits, with Sunberries soup. You can't help but think that Hector would have enjoyed that meal. But you don't have enough mental energy to allocate to that dork right now, the last week's communication were laconic messages to keep you updated about the developments and whereabouts. Somehow, Claire, Pauline, Hyetta, Evette and Renée got kidnapped by Ogres, too many for the squads to directly deal with, and Guillot-initiated cross-dressing fake capture based antics happened. They were succesful, but Hector feels deep shame about the whole endeavor and everybody promised to never talk about it, except around each other and a bit inebriated because Guillot's resulting raunchy song is a knee-slapper.

After a good night of sleep Exhaustion removed, you're ready to face a new day. Getting carried to the Ranger's hall, something's wrong. The hall is full, for starters.

You can only gaze nervously from the pocket you're tucked in. The good thing, except the thundersmith, all of your allied inside are present.
Bad news, the Thane, his squad, and what appear to be the brother, or maybe cousin, of Father's bane, is also present amid ranks of guards and sharpshooter - guards including your allies Maxu, Kili, Fili and Bili, looking uncomfortable.
"Fear not, loyal souls. For I, Thane Kisdrumm, won't hold you back from your dutiful work for long...
- The wyrm is indeed among them, Thane.
- Our long-dreaded foe, the treacherous dragon kin, is among us. It's lesser known to avoid panics, but the wyrms can shapeshift. It could be anyone of us. It could be you!", the Thane point at one of the neighbour of your carrier, that steps back, as punched
"Or you! or you. Have you seen anyone behave strangely amidst you, dwarves? Someone missing for extended duration? You can either denounce your suspicion outright, that we can confirm, or we'll comb everyone. And the longer we retain you, the longer you are delayed to work. You won't have deduction from your daily production taxes for the time spent here, so act wisely.

This is only half of the question.

Dwarfs of both sexes have beards. There is a 50/50 gender ratio, but female and male are indistinguishable once clothed.
Dwarfs prefer not to spend much time on the subject; the dwarfish language has a gender neutral pronoun, usually rendered as "he" when speaking human languages. Dwarfish courtship is an incredibly tactful affair, primarily concerned with finding out which gender the other dwarf is. Despite the awkwardness that comes of this, it is traditionally considered rude to discuss female dwarfs in conversation.

So, no clues on what kind of "private bits" any of the dwarves you have home.
>>
>>5524648
woah those numbers are quite skewed and not in our favour.

So anybody got any ideas?
>>
>>5524661
my idea was to force the demon or its taint out of the Thane and reavealing it for everyone.

Then try something similar to what we already told the other dwarfs and make a case that we did not start the conflict only defended ourselves after being attacked unprovoked.

Slayers take the oath because of a tragedy. So maybe calling out the thanes actions they can ask themselves who is lying to who. Or atleast buy us a few seconds
Maybe say that if they stay in that path, they will bring doom to their own people, not their enemies?

Dawi are stubborn, not stupid. The fact that the thane asked them to do such dishonorable things is most likely weighing heavily on their minds and shaming the ancestors is a big no no to the dawi. Just searched on how to fight against someone using a chain weapon.
You got to dodge the attacks, bait one where he fully extends it, and them immediately pounces and hold down the arm and either break it or force them to drop the weapon.
Under no circunstancies try to hold the chain itself, there is a ways where the attacker can use that to wrap the chain around your arm and imobilize you instead.
Hardest part is that this is not a one-on-one, so the other two dwaves will probably try to cover any openings he makes.

Also, the flashbang would be useful for a fight as well, since it would make both him and the other dwarves flinch if it succeeds, meaning we can move in to break his arm without waiting for him to overcomit and without the danger of one of others stopping a counterattack
>>
>>5524943
I found some tips, other than the biggest one of just run away or defuse the situation.
Stay on the move, make sure to not let yourself be surrounded, try to position in a way that they block eachother, always retreat after attacking, make sure that each attack is impactful.
So basically, either avoid getting dragged in the middle of them all, do hit-and runs and try to make it multiple one-on-ones, or be on the defensive and punish mistakes until they give up.
>>
>>5524959
so basically we gotta take out the two guards first and then round it up with the slayer?
>>
>>5524997
Either that or try to take down the slayer first without the other two helping him.

You decide to fly up. There isn't much room in the hall, but nearby dwarves are acquired to your cause. And that would put you out of reach of the regular dwarves hammer and axes, letting you focus on the slayer.
>14 vs 15,16 : Two failures
Not enough. The dreaded thing, train to fight dragon, is in a perfect environment. His chains whirls, slithers, coil around you. You feel the barbs of the chain itself tearing you before the axe bite your posterior paw.
>White suffered two wounds
No, the fight is optional. Do not hurt dwarves, despite getting hurt. What matter is sending a message - and cleansing the Thane. You can do it.
>Critical
The hold of the greed demon is less than the one on the king. Maybe lesser dwarf get less attention? A snaping sound resonates in the hall, and the shadowy figure is leaking dark ichor.
You never hurted the one holding the king. Is there a chance?

>81 about your allies

"Everyone, duck to avoid the slayer's chain!"
The ranger that carried you in his pocket yells, above all confusion. That is good for you - less risk for the dwarves, more room to manoeuver.
"Guards! with me! Hold the corrupt king!"
Maxu yells, while taking action. Quick, the king is subdued. The ones that followed the doomseeker seem confused.

You got this. Only a bit more...
You keep your focus while the chains of doom whirl around you. The mastery of the slayer is undeniable.
The blade is propelled toward your face. You know this one. It hit you a couple second ago. The attack can change angle abruptly, you have to dodge it twice.
>CQC : 20 (critical) vs 20 (non-critical)
You remove your head out of the way of the attack. When the axe comes back for your flank, you are ready to duck.
Keeping your energy invested in the cleanse spell, you keep an eye on the axe, that comes for a third cleave. THIRD? you spin, avoiding the strike. You keep the mana pouring in your spell, until the last drop.
>18 Arcana : critical
The Thane trashes around. More ichor fell on the ground. Drop by drop, faster and faster, turning into a constant stream. Your light tear the demon, ripping him off.
You feel a disturbance. As if reality fickles for a couple second. A distraught Thane is hold by Maxu and other guards, his eyes showing relief, then horror, in a couple seconds. The only remaining proof of existence of the demon to begin with is the oily puddle, with deep purple and bottle green hues.
[b]"Release me boys, release me. You, slayer, cease this folly. You've seen that wyrm? He helped. Never hurt one of the boys. You, guards, don't stay idle, he'll kill the winged lizard!"[b]
Upon order of their rightfull Thane, the dwarf move as one mind toward the doomseeker, catching his limbs, and carefully immobilizing the chain-axe.
Victory. At the minor cost of your mana, and a little wound.
You are intrigued by the puddle. The demonic presence is still present but quite minor, leaving the echo of magic. Volatile, dissipating magic.
>Leave the puddle alone. Let it dissipate.
>Cleanse the puddle, at the cost of more of your health
>Use the puddle as enchantment reagent [On what?]

Tbh I am sure we can now find out who killed dad by just asking 'has any slayers recently killed a gold dragon?' then we can figure out the location and we got our guy but that is unimportant now, saving the Dawi is our goal and I kind of want to see a couple hundred slayers on our side. Also I think every thane and king is corrupted so uh.

"[b]The only honorable way out is taking the oath myself. Sorry, my dear clanmates. I utterly failed you.[/b]"
Whatever. Your attention is completely driven to the pool of magic sludge. Your common sense is tingling. "Do not touch that." "That's chaos tainted."
A bunch of nonsense. After Hector's suggestion of using demonic part as natural magical reagent for crafting nice things, you explored a bit the realms of possible.
Sure, there are a couple realities where it horribly backfires and the demon corrupt the holder. But most of the time, the power is properly channeled, the corruption is sealed, a way to actually kill the demon and pass it to the Mother's embrace definitely.

Either one of these, I honestly don't care. I kinda wonder if a Dawi bard will paint an ironic story of how a dragon saved a dragonslayer of all people from the corrupt clutches of chaos itself. That will make for an interesting, yet controversial story.

>Write-in
Make an offer to whoever becomes Thane. Offer the deal we would had offered the king were he not demonically possessed (I forgot the deal list sorry)
-something about friendship and centuries long allies
-"I scratch your back you scratch mine"
-tutors galor for us and our family
-willingness to personally tutor any dwarf with an affinity with light magic so they may be protect the lands from demonic corruption
-(I feel bad for forgetting things)
-See if the Thane is interested in commissioning our master enchanter grandpa to build them golems, should they provide some of the resources (assuming the old dawi is interested)
-sell all ordinary steel swords and the 1 light sword we own
-pic related explain the dragon color chart. Although it's not a set in stone things as good can be bad and bad can be good, we'd like for you to not fuck around and find out.

this questions >>5527560 on top of:
-Determine if anyone within this Dawi hold is corrupted
-get intel on the slayer that killed our father. We deserve JUSTICE and RETIRUBUTION for a father we'll never get to know. All that we've left of him is a memento and too few memories.
-See if we can gain this thane's support on weeding out chaos
-See if this Thane would be willing to give us some food and water as we continue searching for mom. Better yet ask if some of his dwarves can help us search for her. Do they have any of those helicopters or blimps?

>Ask the slayer if they have a family member that killed a gold dragon. Try to learn if it was on someone's order, or if dragonslayers just can't tell good dragons apart from the bad ones.
The slayer wants nothing to do with dragons. When you step in his direction to talk with him, he spits on the ground, turns away, and leave the hold.
Other dwarves does not hold him back.
"[green]It's cultural[/green]", tells Maxu
"[green]Most slayers take the oath to restore their honor. We forgot about their past, they die their hair in Orange. Sometime we call upon them, but we can't give them order or act violently - the ones holding him from battle earlier put themself in great danger.[/green]"
There goes your idea to keep the Thane as an attack dog.
Speaking of the old guy...
>Talk with the old Thane to find out when he started being possessed.
"Sir, I'm overrrjoyed you came back to yourr senses. Could you enlight me on how such a strrong spirrrit and durrrable soul can fell to possession?
- [b]Well, lizard, something is foul among the Thane. The old King asked for all of his Thane to come for allegiance, demanding artifact tribute. Of course, not at the same time, small regional groups made way. I think I was among the latest batches.
Countless marvels where lost, as he smelt them down for Orichalcum. War preparation. For our sacrifice for all dwarfkin, he gave all of us a copper coin. And required politely for us to focus on the economy.
I didn't thought much of it, after all, the King Under The Mountain have to decide and is the lower among the low ones. But I know now he was blinded by some blighted light. I tried to enact policies to yield more gold.
And it worked. But it was not enough. It was never enough, to fulfill my thirst, and more importantly, the King's thirst.[/b]
>Ask what happened in the moot.
- What about Karaz-a-Karak? What happened therrre?
- [b]We discovered the absence of the purple dragon at the doorstep. However, a few slayers have been dispatched from Karak Kadrin to various strategic places.
Have you heard one of our hold have been infiltrated by one of your kind? As we knew our own home was targeted by you wyrm, without knowing your goal, we asked one to come and check our place.
His relic shone bright a few steps from our hold. And brighter the closer we went. Thus, our decision to lockdown the hold.[/b]"
That's... Worrying news. Dwarf know where your home is. What prevent them to just send a hundred dragon slayer to your place? You'll have to investigate that more.

Varki Steelhair
Forge Priest (Or dedicated to the ancestor of smithing)
Anti-social, would rather close himself in the forge shrine then preach
Quite angry at the smelting of artifacts, spent a lot of time trying to create replicas of the lost ones so they wouldn't be forgotten
Can inspect a weapon, armor or tool at a glance and know a lot about them. Specially if it's famous or made by someone famous.
Has a list of every smith on the hold and their works, and one on the notable dwarves and smiths in general
Can easily identify runes, but can't wrap his head around the process of creating them for some reason. Feels ashamed of it.

A young dwarf, known for being a bit of an oddball since he was a little lad, for being fascinated with the sky, and by extension, admiring all flying creatures. His dream is to someday be able to fly through the skies and see the world from above and he makes 0 effort to hide this dream. Ironically is kind of a scaredy cat, but his passion and enthusiasm vastly outweighs his fears, so once he heard a dragon was going to teach or select something, while a bit scared since dragons are such a dangerous existence, he still ran full speed, stumbling through everything in his path, in hopes of being the very first in line to see the flying lizard.

He is but an blacksmith apprentice, so he mostly just carries stuff around, ores, armors and weapons, and whenever he has the opportunity, he also watches the merchants that come by doing business, in the hopes of someday being a good smith and becoming a traveling merchant, selling his creations around, under the great sky.

----
Something like that? Unfortunately dwarfs aren't that common in anime, so the only images I have are of Senshi. And I'll also ask for help with his name.
Also also, should I roll for proficiencies like the knight the goblin posts? Guess I'll do it just in case.

>>

I may or may not have heard of that anime, but certainly never watched it.
The guy from your pic is probably from Overlord.
Anyways, just imagine your average dwarf, black hair, black beard, but with an expression as happy as santa claws.

>>5530010
Does Valric have any meaning?
Either way, seems good, we can go with it.

Elaborate?
>>
>>5530039
it does not have meaning as far as i know.

It was just the first name of a Dwarf in one of my DND games. He made a pact with a powerful dark Fey creature around the middle of the campaign which cost him his firstborn daughter as well as doing the dirty work of the Fey Creature for many years and making many advancements in the Winter Court.

He was bailed out of it by the God that the Paladin had sworn an oath to. But not after losing nearly three quarters of his army in the feywild who got taken by the fey and their names stolen.

That left him a broken dwarf who is slowly dying of Magic Poisoning(equivalent to radiation poisoning just a lot harder to get) at the time of my current campaign. He is only still alive because he was harder than stone to put down. Once got chewed on by a Seamonster the size of an island and got spit out because he was too hard to swallow after a small divine interverntion.
>>
>>5530049
It's not as bad as I thought. I'll gladly accept the name then.

(Plus, Valric would be too good natured to make a pact anyways)
>>
>>5530060
oh if the player had not been horny that Valric also woudl nto have taken the Oath since several druids warned him not to entertain any pacts with the fey and he saw what happened to some captured devil cultists that were fed to that particular dark fey.

and assuch he did not get his happily ever after. unlike most of the other characters.....well one of them was elevated into a duchess of hell position after fusing with her Pact Weapon and an entity from beyond time and space hellbent on destroying everything.

The discussion is already ongoing, but you tap in your inner strength. Nothing. You're not out of energy, no : nothing shows up on your chaos radar. Your inner energy dimes, and the usual manalessness headache rises.
>White suffers one level of exhaustion.
No worries to have with chaos. That's good;
You are absolutely certain the Thane was the only one under chaos influence.

The discussion have oriented toward the successor. 4 dwarves have enough seniority, while still young enough to get elligible.
Surprisingly, the old Thane included you in the council for the debate regarding which one should get the throne next.

Lusorlug Frostfoot : Succesful merchant, ship-owner. Lost almost everything barring his ship under the heavy taxes.
Varki Steelhair : best Steelsmith of the hold. Craftmanship have always been valued,
Krakhog Kopprumtrumm-Kirkden : Priest of Kopprumtrumm, The bronze eagle, guardian of fortress, watcher of the outside world.
Maxu Hillbender : Guard captain. Underdog : too young, unmarried. Supporting this choice might be seen as interfering and not really liked by the hold inhabitants. The ones that don't know the conspiration, that is.

>You are in a council. Profession of the dwarf is immediate tell on what he will privilege under his rule.
>You can ask a few questions to candidate, then you can try making a point for your candidate to the asssembly

>>5530214
Ok, for starters, how do they plan on interacting with other holds, with the knowledge that almost all thanes are corrupted?
How do they plan on keeping the fortress safe for more corruption?

Why does all the fun and interesting things happen only when I am asleep?

Since this hold is free now we can use it as a staging off point, perhaps plan with these guys afterwards on our course of action for the others? >>
>>5530218
That’s okay, I’m willing to make everyone equally uncomfortable!

>>5530214
Questions! First up, trying to identify how each will handle what I figure is a weak area for them.
>Lusorlug: If this hold were isolated due to chaos dwaves or other outside armies, how would you manage internal rationing and/or production? Would you attempt to strike out militarily, even against other dwarves, or attempt to bargain?
>Varki: How will you manage diplomatic and military affairs? What traditions can you draw on? Which ones do you think are weaker than they seem?
>Krakhog:Your god is the watcher, so when do you think it is time to strike back? Against chaos, elves, dragons, any and all enemies. What would need to be done within the hold to make such strikes feasible?
>Maxu: You know what the question is. The others believe you inexperienced. How can you address that?
Maxu’s question is the easiest, he should already have arguments ready.

To all
>How is it that the fortress fell under the claws of chaos? We know the story of the king and the thane. But many were complicit in following under chaos without being possessed by it. So why is that, and what would you do to prevent such a failure again.
It’s a painful question to answer. But refusing to acknowledge the flaw in what they’ve built is something no dwarf or dwarf friend should stomach.

To all
>Many of you have dealt with the others here, I’m sure. From what you know or have heard, how do the others deal with being opposed, or when it is pointed out that they were wrong?
This question would go around the table, focusing on one person each time, with everyone else dwarf the question about that dwarf instead. They may defend each other if needed, but the dwarf in question may not. Let their reputation with others speak for them instead.
>>
>How is it that the fortress fell under the claws of chaos? We know the story of the king and the thane. But many were complicit in following under chaos without being possessed by it. So why is that, and what would you do to prevent such a failure again?
A global mutter from the participants.
"We were just following orders...
We know the symptoms know..."
All of them are painted in a bad light.

>>5530247
>Lusorlug: If this hold were isolated due to chaos dwaves or other outside armies, how would you manage internal rationing and/or production?
"The hold are used to that. Despite the fact the hold is self sufficient twice, once with outdoor, once with indoor, we have stockpiles, lizard. Won't tell you how many as its strategical. But the usual distribution of rations does not change much under siege. Usually, us dawi are fed better than the attacker. And that's not even factoring that no one succesfully sieged all roads leading out of here."
>Would you attempt to strike out militarily, even against other dwarves, or attempt to bargain?
"For other dwarves, well... Of course we'll negociate. But as a Thane, I would not accept authority of another King Under The Mountain in current circumstances, as hard as it will be. And regarding the horrible possibility of war against my kin... Teaching of my titular god, Gzitthrummaz, says <<my hold before another>>"

>Varki: How will you manage diplomatic and military affairs?
"As 'vrithing I do. Will craft the best solution before takin' it out to the shadow of the hold"
You're a bit confused at the idiom.
Lusorlug steps in : "Dwarven talk. Darkness is good, the way things should be. Light is bad, blinding.
>Thanksss. What traditions can you draw on?
"'lready told you, lizard. Is an unatentive glimmersnake really a good thing to have around the table?"
>Which ones do you think are weaker than they seem?
"Problems always come from outside. We'll wouldn't be there in that case."
That's... A direct jab to someone around the table.

>Krakhog:Your god is the watcher, so when do you think it is time to strike back?
"Who to strike back?"
>Against chaos, elves, dragons, any and all enemies. What would need to be done within the hold to make such strikes feasible?
"The eagle protect its nest, and hunt to feed. He does not enact on his grudges. That does not mean he forgives, nor forget. You proved there is a way to solve things without much violence."
>Maxu: You know what the question is. The others believe you inexperienced. How can you address that?
Maxu seems tensed, surprise. He open his mouth, close it, feel the weight of the gazes, and stutter a bit under the judgemental atmosphere
"I... I... am more experienced in leadership than Krakhog. Or Varki. Granted, I'm young. But I lead. By example. Was the first one to take action on our Respected Thane. Ask any guard. I know how to get our teams working.
- like when you were charged to catch the dragon sitting at our table?"
>>
You didn't identify the source of the gibe.

>Many of you have dealt with the others here, I’m sure. From what you know or have heard, how do the others deal with being opposed, or when it is pointed out that they were wrong?

Lusorlug : he searches for a consensus while stubornly defending his interests.
Varki : Only certain on his expertise. Does not care of criticism about other thing, despite them making their way, but will fight teeth and nail for how his work is flawless. It indeed is flawless and usually not understood if someone point out something.
Krakhog : Really polite, listen to the point being made. But is a dwarf, so stubornly does not change opinion.
Maxu : not known enough by the others.

>Choose a dwarf to support
>>
>>5530321
Hmmm, Lusorlug would be great in one other situation, but negotiating with chaos corrupted Dawi is dangerous, the Dark Gods are an insidious bunch.
Varki is autistic, the only reason I'm considering him is creator bias.
5Ks is probably the best choice. Maybe even TOO good of a choice.
Maxu is more of a wilcard, but it would lead us to have more influence with the hold, so if anything goes wrong we can try to help

I think I'll go with this ranking: 5K > Maxu > Lusorlug >= Varki
Anyway, I got to go somewhere, until later everyone, and good luck!
>>
>>5530321
it will either be Krakhog or Maxu
as I explained before I want the priest class to do a bit of fifth columning but that may be difficult. Other than that Lusorlug may be a good negotiator but in the current situation that is a bad idea, he can, however, help bring in uncorrupted dwarves to our side though.
Maxu may be a bit difficult to bring in because he is after all one of our guys and it may be seen as incredibly biased if we let him become the thane.
>>
>>5530321
Ask our two Dawi pocket buddies and our sister for council.
Again, I will grudge the hell out of these dawi calling us lizard. In the future.
>>
>>5530316
>Lusorlug
He wants to negotiate, but he’s also the only one who openly admitted he could fight other dwarves if it came down to it. Varki blew it off as “problems always come from outside” as though there wasn’t an issue inside the hold he could have helped fix, and Krakhog is right that violence isn’t the only way, but at some point an act must be taken.

To press a point earlier:
>”The first question I asked was how chaos festered in the hold. All offered excuses, but no actions that can be done. You cannot face the flaws that marred what you all have built here, and I do not have the knowledge or wisdom myself to answer in your stead. But that is less true of one of you, at least. Maxu did eventually stand against corruption where so many others failed until an outsider resolved the issue.”
>”If someone else is elected Thane, they would be wise to remember that in this manner, Maxu has proven greater than the rest of you by recognizing evil when it stands before him and choosing to act. Seek out more like him, and in time perhaps he and those others can provide an answer to the flaws that remain unaddressed.”

I’m okay with us not giving a preference too. Most of my questions were attempts to pry info out of dwarves so others could consider their answers as well. But I do want to drive home that a failure to face your flaws is a weakness, and I am not afraid to push others to address those weaknesses and become stronger.

"Before I solemnly cast my vote... I'd wish to cleanse all of you tomorrow. As precaution."
>Lusorlug :
"Sensible. It proved to have worked in the past."
>Varki :
"Grmph. Try as you please."
>Krakhog :
"I'm afraid I would not agree. See, I complied to your earlier examination, where you told us we were all good in your book. Why should we let ourself to the test again? And no one in that hold knows light magic. So that's not like you could not use some illusions or false image to make the Thane, thus the hold, serve your best interests. So, I'll decline."
>Maxu
"Krakhog points hold... But still, I trusted you and Lorg back then, I'll trust you again."
>>
>>5531416
I don't think 5K understood what we said, we weren't asking.
Lemon farmer dwarf when?
Anyway, I think Maxu with Lusrolug as a second in command, or the other way around, could work
>>
>>5531416
5K says there’s no light dwarves, but we successfully rolled one! They can spot-check our work.

Besides, we don’t think there’s chaos taint in them, but it’s not like we’ve often dealt with “light” taint. We usually fight against beings that are pretty heavily corrupted. So White should trust in his ability to purge chaos more than his ability to detect it. Assuming he’s not being blinded by dragon pride.

I’ll continue my Lusorlug vote. Consensus builder is less likely to go full tyrant without people fighting against it, and he’s the only one who said he could fight other dwarves.

He should also be pretty amenable to building up an anti-chaos group that could go around and free other holds since it greatly reduces the risk of a full hold-on-hold conflict where he has to mobilize everything to defend against other dwarves. Who may not even be tainted, but are directed by someone who is! It’s not like we have to teach them if they’re paranoid, they can get light-aligned texts from elsewhere. A merchant ought to have ideas on where they are.
>>
>>5531711
>anti-chaos group
In the 9th age, a group of dwarves were sent to prison by a corrupted thane for standing up against a devious plan. These dwarves promptly escaped from a high security jail to the wilderness. Today, after purifying their hold, they continue to fight against chaos. If you have a chaos problem, if no one else can help, and if you can be vouched for...maybe you can call the D-Team.

It meens the hold of darkness, which is a good name for dwarves.

I think we should continue searching for mom, and then go deal with dwarves without worrying we left the search unfinished
>>
>>5532420
I am just kinda concerned about the fact they know where our home is so I don't think we should let the corrupt ones run around
>>
>>5532273
okay now what? I'm a little lost here.

>>5532306
Indeed we still have some things to do. For example I'd like for us to have some bees and bee hives, preferably beed hives of good quality that can retain heat, or be opened partially during hot days to keep it from cooking from the inside out. Bees are great for crops, and they produce honey which is both a preservative and luxury good.
uh, not right now though, but when we finish our quest to find our mom and swing back here when we return home.
>>

You get both of the dwarves in the necklace for one hour to talk, and figure things out.
"[green]Thank you for your help, lizard.[/green]
- ... We're gettin' married. Of course it'll require preparation, you'll be invited to the feast.
- Now that is sssorted out..."

>Make an offer to whoever becomes Thane. something about friendship and centuries long allies
"Of course. You already helped us much."
>Tutors galor for us and our family
"Impossible immediately sadly. We have to pull the hold back to prosperity before expending dwarfpower."
>Willingness to personally tutor any dwarf with an affinity with light magic so they may be protect the lands from demonic corruption
"Let's say we found people with affinity... Could you stay around a little while for tutoring? Or maybe take apprentice for several years with you?"
>Dragon color chart. Although it's not a set in stone things as good can be bad and bad can be good, we'd like for you to not fuck around and find out.
"We don't plan on tickling dragon's tails. But thanks."
>-See if this Thane would be willing to give us some food and water as we continue searching for mom.
>Artifact, grudges, flying machines : nothing mentionned by Thane when requesting help, artifact have been melted and the other things are a bit meta knowledge white doesn't really have
"We can definitely resplenish your food stockpile if when you want to leave"

Over the course of the next day, to plan some scanning of the dwarves willing, without much hope.
Oddly, one striked out. He ran and pushed people around to cut the line upon hearing about the dragon looking for choosen ones.
You didn't grasped everything as he talks fast with an heavy accent, something about being an apprentice that wants to become a skysmith.
He's not the most adroit with tools, but you are working closely with a legendary runesmith and a not-less-legendary orichalcumsmith.

Now, what do you want to do?
>Stay around for a while. You have experience in management thanks to centuries of ancestral knowledge, maybe you can help around a bit?
>Go back to Griffinmount. get a bit of rest, or maybe take Lusorlug with you to start a trade caravan?
>Go back on your quest to find mother

There is also the question regarding Durr
>Take him with you
>Leave him
>>
>>5533220
>Go back on your quest to find mother

we should not get too involved for now. we can check in some time later again to make sure everything is still running fine. And meddeling would probably undermine Maxus Authority and new status.

>Take him with you
He may be useful later. or we can fix his head and get more comfortable fixing mortals squishy bits.

also Maxu has a model now. Is this entire Quest just an excuse to name all your special Characters? ;)
>>
>>5533220
>married
congratulations. we'll probably make a sword or axe for the wedding gift, if we have the time.

>Stay around for a while. You have experience in management thanks to centuries of ancestral knowledge, maybe you can help around a bit?
Maybe for a week at most to ensure we got all the chaos out.

Apprentice dwarf fren can come with.

>what do we do with Durr
Durr the soap maker and kleptomaniac? Well first we'll need to host an intervention between his friends, his family, and us. Firstly they've done well to not steal stuff from our necklace which is a step in the right direction, but if they come back with us to Griffinmount we can cure them of their kleptomania so future bouts of looting don't occur.
So....if he doesn't mind or can at least consciously confirm he has a problem? Yes they come back with us.

>Go back on your quest to find mother

>>
>>5533220
The doom was postponed I see.
I'll support >>5533226.
(because even with the best of intentions, wanting to help right away could be seen as us not having faith that they can restore their hold by themselves, we can take a look on how things are going on our way back)

Also,
>skysmith
Kek, he'll forge the very skies and reshape the clouds. Jokes aside, I think I have seen a "thundersmith" mentioned before? If that's a thing, I now want him to accidentally become that.

>One success + 1 Crit
Rising far and wide, the land opens under your wings, your sister by your side.
In the necklace, Durr wonders why he accepted coming along. One one hand, he has been disavowed by all family and friend for not taking the slayer oath after getting caught numerous times for thievery. So, not much for him down to that hold. On the other hand, he's spending the most boring week of his life, sitting around a crystal necklace instead of a cell. A prison where the warden is aware about every breath you take. And all the valuable hidden under a small layer of crystal to avoid any temptation.
On the other side of the necklace, Valric is having the time of his admittedly short life. He's far in the air, eyes glowing like white-hot metal.

https://warhammerfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Skinks

>>5533629
I think OP or some anon said that some lizardfolk might even worship dragons.

>The Skinks form one of the core species of the Lizardmen race, created by the Old Ones to be the workers, artisans and crafters of their society. Both physically and mentally agile, Skinks are perfectly adapted to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the temple-cities as well as operating the far-ranging patrols that sweep across the vast jungle continent. They are the mass workforce designed by the Old Ones to perform many different roles that requires a quick mind and a dexterous hand to operate, and without them, Lizardmen society would simply collapse.

>Skittish and quick, Skinks stand out from the rest of the sluggish Lizardmen in terms of mental capacity. They are highly organised and sociable beings that instinctively work well in groups, even being able to coerce other cold-blooded creatures into doing their bidding. Of all the Lizardmen, the Skinks are the most communicative, using their changeable skin tones and crests colours to add subtle inferences to their vocal language, in which they chitter endlessly in high-pitched voices full of clicks, hisses and other curious sounds.

The fact that they're highly sociable and a great working force is a major boon. The communication barrier would be an issue tho, so we'll need to learn how to alter their vocal cords so they can speak both their language and many other.

The city is brimming with life. Reptilian life.
Dragon derivates? No, no. Your numerous reads of your prized [b]Strategic Book[/b] connects immediately the dots. They're saurian ancients.
In the outskirts, some [red][b]Father[/b][/red]-sided behemoth graze, fight, or both, the skies are covered with several bat-like winged thing with long head.
The city seems clearly divided in several quarters, with a huge temple built around a pool of some sort in the middle. Some other temple occupy the top of the hill the city is anchored on, there stairs arrogantly grazing higher than the nearby peaks. Streets are buzzling with activity, you don't quite discern the specific details up here.
Valric is hyperventilating and mouth-froathing under the awesomeness.

Here's a few mentions I found on previous threads
>Their cities hidden all around the world, Saurian Ancients are mystical heirs of a common ancestor of your kin. Wielding powerful magics, and survivor of battles involving them relate their taming of animal-brained unmagical, wingless dragons.
>The last noticeable species would be Saurian Ancient, a mystic-empowered congregation of reptilian being which would accept dragons without a sliver of hesitation
So say something about them being an ancient people, who wield powerful magic and would be distantly related to our kind. And that they have knowledge how to combat the dark gods, and their corruption.
>>
>>5534622
Why is the pool sacred? Why is the house sacred? What are those other flying creatures?
>>
>>5534735
i would guess that that Pool is a Spawning Pool where they breed the Saurians in. Saurus Guards, Kroxigors and Skinks. With the occaisonal special brood when the stars and planets are right.
>>
>something about them being an ancient people, who wield powerful magic and would be distantly related to our kind.
>"I read you are ancient people, who wield powerful magic. Related to our kin, cousins of sorts.
>And that you have knowledge how to combat the dark gods, and their corruption.
- Bold of you to assume my kind have any knowledge. Nah, our usual strategy is launching the Carnosaurs at them. Hard to be chaotic when your corporeal envelop have been reduced to pulp.
Regarding corruption, our Slanns - you're familiar with our castes, right? - have a way. But they work is shrouded in mystery. I'm not really sure they understand what they're doin themself.
>Why is the temple with the pool sacred?"
The lizardman smiles. Lots of teeth in that. Oh well, it makes you feel home.
"I'm afraid I can't just disclose our most important secrets to outsiders... Wait, what's happening down there? There shouldn't be a commotion...
You, Lavender, can you stay up there? Airborn skinks, if something is too confusing, ask the lavender wingosaur 'bout what to do. Else, patrol as normal. Come with me, Bones wingosaur."

Oh my. I'm really, really tired."
The shadow of your host's mount and you draw closer to the ground, where you land on stone rooftops.
You can see the stone temple you wanted to examinate, a covered one. Some strange glimmer in the middle of it reveals hords and hords of dinosaurs, with big saurians - Kroxigors? - holding them leashed under skink supervision.
Strangely, a golden light illuminates the inside of the temple, way bigger than the outside seems to be. You can't really wrap your head about it.
>Kroxigor wrangler at this place : 5
>Saurus wrangler at this place : 33
Dinosaurs seems to be stuck in the temple because of a big mess in the streets : a traffic jam of stone blocks, what smells like rotting fish and meat, a coupled collapsed dinosaurs.
Kroxigors are attempting to carrying things among the traffic, pushing and crushing the occasional smaller skinks. Skinks that look overwhelmed.
It is extremely noisy. Inside the temple, skinks are yelling a head-splitting "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE".
Underneath, in the streets, several patrol of intermediately-sized dinos - Saurus? - are active.
>"Are the Saurrrus fixing it?
"Nah. Trying to fix the mess. Mainly, looking for skinks to beat up so they act better. Care to help cleaning up?", Xamaniqinqu sighs.

its fine either way. If its normal text then i ask that you please make sure to double check for all the punctuation for ending sentences.

I noticed it in the past as well that sometimes i just jump into the next line and suddenly find myself confused since i thought it was still the same person speaking.

or if some people to each other put another break there to make sure to break up the sentencea more. or maybe its only me having that problem.
>>
>>5535613
Considering our perception level, I'd rather try to use divination to find out the root of the problem.
>>
>>5535660
It's mainly a time issue. Divination is a spell that require calm and meditation while you focus, something along the line of 5 minutes in case of a crit in your lair, to a few hours for a borderline success in an unknown city with foul odors and Reeeing things.

But you can certainly try.

One of the skink in charge of coordinating Saurus, thoroughly and repeatedly getting punched in the face, manage to squiggle something about "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

The Saurus hitting the skink does not stop his succesful path of Violence, given he got orders that helped improved the situation from it, and use his boss as a flail to attempt stopping the burrowing reflex of the two-and-a-half stonemasons.

Change of strategy. Using your precious [Necklace], you stockpile a good chunk of food and move toward the sonic nuisances.
>1, 3
You get in the temple, and your head spins.
You feel confused, torn, dizzy.
>20
Then, you understand what's happening. Partially.
There is a grand total of one and a half sun - midday from where you come from, rising from the other side - and four moons, instead the usual two, mayhem signal three.
As a crystal dragon, your nature oriented toward light, stars and divination, this place is extremely confusing. You have an approximate idea of where the side where it's twilight exactly is - Virentia, another continent.
You drop the food from skink to skink, fighting against your internal balance sense.
They are slowly starting to shut the fuck down. You can give a go at solving this mess again, if you want

One anon roll 1d100 for the consequences of that order with the sentence "Rollin' for consequences of sending away food carriers

The situation is getting clearer. It's still blocked, but now you can see why. A Wall was getting build in the middle of the road, a dino stumbled upon it, and was partially walled, preventing him to get back up.
"What the frog is happening here?
...
I really hate my life. See that post painted in red?"
Xamaniqinqu points a clawed finger at wood splinters.
"I know the skink in charge of the builder squad. Not the scaliest dino. So I setted up a post to tell him to stop building onto that point. Of course, one of the dinos smashed it with his tail, and the skink corralling it didn't took any initiative to enquire what it was, how to fix it, or even warn about the problem..."

You spend a good hour flying left to right, orienting distraught lizards of various size to clean the mess made by the food carrier.
Fortunately, no new problem emerged in the mean time.
The light of hope fickles among Xamaniqinqu eyes.
"See that stego? He is more clever than his skink - not a hard bar to overcome, I agree - and refused to get in the too narrow street! And for once, Saurus are punching the correct dissenters!
And... is that Kroxigor... throwing out and picking a new tool by himself?"
Things seems to be under control - for now - so both of you quickly fly toward a small temple.
"Ok, so this is not our most powerful magus, but the most tolerable one. Meet g'Doung."
A few skinks attendants scutter and hide in the darkness.
The fat blob seems asleep. It draws on for several long, long minutes spent in the moist dim-lit temple.
Then, he opens his eyes.
>"Greeting, revered g'Doung. I come in peace, in hope of alliance with your people."
The fat blob remains mute. Your companion skink seems really annoyed.
"They're always like this. We have to be patient."
The frog-like creature still does not talk. You distinctly hear some water drop condensing and falling in several basins, creating an eerily atmosphere.
Then, the frog speaks.

"Imagine a world where black elves won the seventh age rebellion, by maintaining their alliance with the black dwarves.
Slaver on land with infernal machines, slaver on sea with boats. Mixes. Elven iron hand and mastery on how to get the most of a prisoner, agility for the manual crafts.
Boats propelled by infernal engines on water iron roads floating on water. This world still struggle with chaos, but become more organized. The mother rises from the order, granting more divination powers.
In that world, or maybe ours, an equitainan nobleborn daughter. Entitled to the inheritance of all of her father's land, and her struggle to marry for love instead of political gains.
Both of her loves are vampires of their own kind : One being an old count eager for power, fortune and fresh blood, the second feeding on her ambition and career.
Examinate closely both side : will that choice reinforce the Mother, or the Father's powers?
As is the natural order : cat eats mouse. But mouse beating up cat : is that lawful or chaotic? Is that good or bad? How does the gods benefits for that?
That mouse, winning the fight. Is that from might? Is that might his own or gained through lucky encounter?
Else, is that from luck? Is luck aligned to Father's love of unpredictability, or Mother's way to favor her chosen children?
Hear my prophecy : Once rocks will rain from the sky and the prey overcomes the hunter, the challenges to overcome will draw the world to the tenth age."

>To built order upon suffering is to create a world as vile as the one of Chaos' children. The slaver's order is built upon the mighty striking down the weak, until the strong meet the same fate. A world of paranoia, where divination is used by the powerful until they create their own downfall, and chaos will fester upon the oppressed, who no longer have anything to lose. It has replaced a horde upon their gates for a powered keg under their keep.
>The lady is being blind. She follows her heart searching for love, yet the ones that she sets her gaze upon are anything but that. There will be ruin in her life no matter which one is chosen, because she already failed the first step. Her only salvation would be to open her eyes and rebuff both.
>Luck is chaotic, but failure can be orderly. If the cats are completely unopposed, they would wipe out all the mouses. And once there are no more mouses, the cats would starve and fall upon eachother until there is nothing more. The nature of life to expand and consume, it is only
>Change can be orderly, as stagnation can be chaotic. Divination rises and wanes, prophesies can be self fulfilling, or can be avoided. A challenge can be destructive, bringing down what has been built, but can be constructive, bringing new opportunities once overcome. While we gaze upon the future, we must also be ready to act as well. Because in the end, if we do not fight to create a world that is worthy being protected and cherished, all the sacrifices would be for naught.

Allright, there is a lot to process. Are the preys the skavens?
You don't agree with the slann basic vision of the order and chaos. After all, Luck is chaotic, failure can be orderly.
And that raises questions about the nature of the world. The certitudes you have comes partly from your representation of past and future as a great loom of fate, with the motives of the past immutably woven but the one of the future yet to be shaped, although tied to the stringe currently moving and getting knotted. Maybe more insight can be gain by discussing with this master philosopher?
>"To built order upon suffering is to create a world as vile as the one of Chaos' children. The slaver's order is built upon the mighty striking down the weak, until the strong meet the same fate
- What is interresting regarding the slaver dwarf is their hat. They're meaningful, and teach a lot about them, their past and family. Some are called Pharygin, meaning they used to be slaves themself and won their liberty back. Other, the Deshret, are markers of belonging to the priest cast. But they're not really priests, hehe. Most of their contribution to society would fall within the purview of your conundrums of engineering."
You attempt to get him back on tracks :
>"Alright. Anything you see me or my siblings doing that can steer that into a direction where the Dark Gods have been cut back in their influence considerably?
- Is talking with me currently decreasing or increasing dark god's influence? It seems like chaos always win. But maybe the narrator giving that ultimate truth is unreliable? The only way to know would be to gaze in the myriad of world and examine them to find a complete and total victory of Order. But doing so might be part of the plan of chaos to destroy the current reality? It's like the grung box. One of them countain a Rainforest King. The other, a Vice-monarch. The only way to know which one is which is to take a bite - you're both starving and dead until you do so."
Must. Remain. Calm. One more attempt.
>"-Otherwise. Why the FUCK are most of your subordinates denser than Hector is to the Women surrounding him?
- What is a woman? An ideal to strike for? Most of the heavily gendered kin people's iconography represent them as safe, tied to the home, something to strive for, something to protect. But the most interesting things about them is the subversion : a really strong female warrior is even more impressive in a world where most fighters are male, aren't them?"
>>
Your tour guide takes you out of your misery, while some skinks rehydrate the fat blob collapsing from the effort of that heavy conversation.
"This is this town's saner Slann.
We have no leadership, no coordination, no greater plan. I wonder how my kin is still alive and roaming the earth.
>You sound different. You can think, you can act freely.
- I'm cursed. The only sane lizard in that town. I'm so tired.
> Why are you different?
- I... Don't know. Luck, maybe? Or natural selection. I'm not the only sane skink, I had mentors. My kin used to be way stronger. But it was several ages ago. And I can't babysit a new generation.
- [b]REEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeee[/b]
- Hear that? New minute, new problems. It was a nice break, but I have to go back supervising the idiots."

>Healing crit
You take a bit of time to catch a wandering skink to further examinate their inner workings.
And something dawns you. Their brains are completely smooth. Marble ball polished with all the care in the world wouldn't compare to the spherical perfection of the hemispheres. As a consequence, you think you partially figure out why lizards are such a difficulty to handle : tinkering a bit, you find that most of the seen behavior is biologically-pathed signals with little to no conscious influence of the skink. Maybe understanding them will be more something your alchemically-versed, or mechanically-versed sister will be able to do. Question remains : why and how does the unofficial leader managed to evolve wrinkles? There is a real anatomical difference you spectated among your usual skink and the albino pteranodon problem solver.

>Engineering failure
After three days of careful examination and sampling, I can conclude that this town is made of rock piled on other rocks. Nothing we don't already know how to make, 'specially with the help of our lizardmanest brother.

Meanwhile, you left the dwarves live their own life in the city.

>23 for Valric : Disapointment unmesurable, day ruined.
Valric, on an other hand, is having a terrible week.
The novelty of the architecture, places, sents, tastes wore off quickly, and the dwarven kid looked for a way to smith boredom into pleasant time.
First, he looked for lizard kids to play with. However, they were all grown up, as if getting out of the birthbarrels all adults.
Boring ones, too. No lizard wanting to answer important questions about what being a lizard is, such as "How is it, having a tail?" or "Are scales harder to wash than beards?"
Then, he inquired about the one thing that can never stop to impress : Dinosaurs. However, the kid was not allowed to climb in the great woven baskets among the skinks, the carnosaurs growl nastily when he went close to them, and he was not allowed to leave town to go check out the brontosaurs grazing.
He still managed to sneak toward the pteranodo stable, on the top of a pagode-shaped tower. However, he got bitten on his arm when he tried to ride one - not profondly, just a warning nibble. Enough to leave bruises though.

>83 for Durr : a scam gone well
Durr narrate how he stumble on skinks struggling with the logistical transfer of gold from mineral to plates ready to engrave.
Durr helped oversight and smoothing of the process, requesting a few plates for his help.
Now he feels bad about stealing them. After all, he joined you to be cured of his ailment.

Upon sight of the gold plates, your inner hoarding instinct tingles.

With a combination of luck and skill, you spot some favorable highborn air current, cutting one day on the flight time. The biggest problem is the necklace's situation.

You have time for some necklace introspection.
The saurian colossus is a mindless towering construct of scaly flesh.

On the first evening, you take some time to considerate letting the lizard take a breath of fresh air.
>Chothko failure
You didn't even let Chothko out of his glass cell. Unable to contain himself, he trashes around at the first signal of crystal releasing.
You'll have to educate him and take more time, the trip simply not offer enough possibility with the logistical limitation.
Kreenio, however, behaves surprisingly well.
He starts with enthusiastics REEEE of getting let out, then played with Valric at who-can-REEEE-the-strongest (Kreenio won).
This is not the lightest star of the sky, but his temperament is nice enough to progressively break his wall and let him in the same space as the dwarves.
In a span of a wing, you're back to the dwarven hold of Ekast Kegeth.
Things look surprisingly in order, and you're greated with a fair amount of surprise of seeing you again so fast.

There is a problem with the hold.
Your future sight show you that most of the dwarves in charge, not corrupted, are corroded by the exposure to greed. There mind are weakened, prone to fall easier.
Good thing, both Maxxu and the merchant seems to be unaffected by this affliction.
Bad thing, acting to remove them, or coming back regularly to check on them will be perceived as untolerable interventionism, and really badly taken by the crazed axe bearers. So what should you do?
>Act and remove the priest and forge master anyway. Screw bad relationship, you won't let chaos progress from one inch.

Each anon roll 3d20 (Physical, Intellectual, Social) and choose a race.

I think I went too far

>Brandy Tucker
The Sherrif is an tall (for a hobbit) and charismatic braggart, constantly telling everyone how he defeated a greenskin raid and killed the warchief singlehanded (it was just a goblin leading a bunch of snotlings). It was his idea to come to these lands, becasue he thinks settling a new hill farther then any other halfling ever did will turn him into a legend.

>Boso Bolger
He is what many would call a village idiot. Thinks himself a jester, but most of his jokes falls flat, and his pranks often backfire. Really good at making fireworks and setting up shows though. Brandy's best friend, they grew up as neighbours, with him acting like his hype man while Brandy protects him from bullies.

>Ted Burrows
A farmer with a green thumb that had his land pillaged by greenskins and lost everything. Knows how to grow all types of plants, be them staple crops, cash crops, medicinal plants or grown on trees. A simple man and honest man, he has a habit of calling out Brandy and Bozo on any lies. However, he is thankful for what they did and trusts them.

>Rose Burrows
Ted's wife is a model halfling housewife. She knows how to cooks every traditional moot cuisune, is capable of stiching any clothes to look brand new, clean a entire burrow from top to bottom in half a day, wash endless piles of clothes and dishes, notice children misbehaving, throw sandals (she doesn't wear them, only throw) at pinpoitng accuracy, threaten curious snotlings, and multitask all of these at the same time.

>Lily Burrows
Ted's only daughter (for now). She used to take care of the animals, feeding the chicken and pigs in the morning and working as a sheppard for the sheep the rest of the day. Spent quite a lot of time hitting targets with her slings while bored. Wholeheartily Believes Brandy's stories and has a crush on him, it was her that convince her father to join him instead of tring to rebuild the farm. Has a dog called Spotty.

>Dora Pouches
The youngest daughter of 12, she is an odd halfling: while most would be happy to live their entire lives stuck inside a hole, as long as there is enough food of course, she has a seemly unending wanderlust. Her forest adventures taught her pathfinding, hunting and other general ranging skills. She dreams of one day becoming a fieldwarden, so she can do what she loves and be respected for it. She's the only member of Brandy's militia that decided to join him in his expedition.

>Sister Sennri
>a devout whorshiper of the mother with a limited gift for the healing arts be they magical or alchemical. Can read and write quite well due to her study of texts about the healing arts.
>Born from noble blood. Left her family home and name when she witnessed the pain and suffering caused by marauding Beastmen which nearly destroyed her familys Estate. With what money was left to her by her parents she became a traveling scholar seeking to heal those that had lost so much in conflict and cruel nature.
>First heard of the white Magus when she travelled to a small village that had been saved from Skaven and Undead by the Magus who healed the sick in return for very little. Inspired she followed the description of the path to the home of the White Magus only to be very shocked when she found out that the vaunted healer was in truth a Dragon and had taken in other people suffering. Seeing a way to maybe be of more help in the future of the country she chose to stay and help wherever she could in hope to help and in return be helped bettering the country.

She was supposed to be married off by now..... but all three suitors tragically died when she was in her late teens and are part of the reason why she does not really seek any romantic relationship. All romantic thoughts she did have were shattered when their suitors died tragic accidents.

Phyiscal description see picture. But in words: She has blonde hair she usually carries bound back. Full lips and brown/golden eyes over a broad nose. Nice figure with wide hips and ample chest. a bit pudgy due to not going out too much unless necessary. Likes to wear long sleaved gloves and tough boots made from leather. Has a nice mantle that she has had to patch up often so its no longer as nice looking as in the picture. She does wear pants when she goes outside of any villages.

So let's see:
>"Part of" >>5550730's convent, quotes because he's not really a member, the actual members just let him stay around because he specializes in barrier and teleportation (if allowed; not that long of a range, it's just to escape immediate danger, which, paired with his barriers, would make him an specialist in running away) magic, aside from that and that he spend most of his time mixing stuff together for no apparent reason, they don't know anything about him, not even his name;
>Is always conducting experiments, mixing herbs and other substances, using potions to water herbs, mixing them with his food, etc, etc, etc;
>His experiments are normally harmless, or just dangerous to himself, will move to somewhere farther away from the others if he thinks the experiment will be particularly dangerous;
>Never makes the same mixture twice, unless it's to try to mix it with something else or for other experiments, even if he makes something useful (which at least gives away that whatever his goal is, it isn't profit), thus, he only has 1 of each of his creations;
>Doesn't talk. He can, he just doesn't want to, communicates through telepathy if needed. Ignores everyone and everything that doesn't spark his interest, hence why none of the convent members ever heard him, telepathically or otherwise (in the current line up, the only one he intends to communicate with is Sidri);
>Unless it's harmful to him, will also ignore any tentative of intervention, throw something at him, steal his clothes, he'll just ignore and let it happen, but will otherwise protect himself (and his materials) with barriers;
>Will forget to eat for days while experimenting, until someone reminds him or he realizes he's dying;
>Can read in multiple languages, as he deemed it possibly useful for the future of his experiments, never tried to write;
>His goal is to create "The Ultimate something", can be a revival potion with no drawbacks, something akin to the philosopher's stone, something, I'll leave it to QM if it'll be something extremely good, or extremely evil.

>Usually, when the members of the convent go out for something, he just stays there, doing his thing. But then he overheard them talking about visiting a mage dragon, and for the surprise of everyone, he went with them this time, of course, without uttering a single word.

Also, take a shot every time you read "experiment".

>>5550960
another autist, would he work well with bone boy or not?
>>
>>5550960
I made brandy based on the story of Bandobras Took from the Hobbit, mixing with Gaston because of what QM mentioned.
The others I put on a name generator and came up with stories, and maybe changing surnames to make them family.
It gave me Boso, so I decided to make him both a clown and the Lefou stand-in
The moment I saw Dora I knew I had to make her an explorer. The original surname was Slientfoot, but I thought it was too long.
While thinking of a new one, I I remembered Dora has a magical backpack and made some connections: Backpack -> Bag -> Baggins -> Bag -> Pouch -> Pouches
So she's a fusion of Dora the explorar, Bilbo and Frodo
>>
>>5550960
Also, Mad Scientist Anon, this is the NPC to help with the experiments with blood you want, but still not immediately, of course.

>>5550968
If it was a 20 in INT, would he have 3d20 for alchemy?
That aside, I'm satisfied.
Also2, as always I'll leave his name to someone else, and it can be a strange name because it'll be whatever the people around him decide to call him, since he doesn't care enough to do greetings and such.
>>
>>5550988
Not really, 3 dice are a tier too high for this NPC batch power level.
>>
>>5550984
Considering that bone boy is made of, well, bones, hermit-kun would certainly be interested enough to answer him if talked to, now how interesting they would find each other to be is another matter, since hermit-kun will mostly just talk about materials and mixing shit, but at least he wouldn't be bothered by the extreme honesty.

Can't find much on beastmen, so correct me if I'm wrong.
https://the-ninth-age.fandom.com/wiki/Beast_Herds
https://warhammerfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Beastmen

>Apples McGilden, aspiring mage and expert apple consumer.
>A young beastman that was artificially created by the court mage of the Grys'ymor family on their request to determine of beastmen could be either "domesticated," or made to be friendlier due to the frequent clashes between the holdings of the baron and the occasional beastmen herds. Raised by the wet-nurse of the Grys'ymor family and tutored by their mage, Apples would live within the confines of his lord's estate, never straying too far from their reach, or the scolding tutelage from their frustrated mage's attempt to force knowledge into his thick skull. Always friendly and eternally well mannered, the strange beastman would on occasion fetch things for the servants of the castle, or play with the young heirs to the Grys'ymor's when afforded the luxury by their court mage.
>When word and rumor came from a newest holding dubbed Griffinmount, of a "great white magus" with the blessing of The Lady to cure all ailments, the lords sent Apples off with a wax sealed letter and a few guards, to see if it's magus held the key to controlling beastmen, or at the least make them stop attacking their people.
>With a sack filled with what few possessions he owned and a pep in his step, Apples McGilden couldn't wait to meet this great wizard, in addition to learning from someone else! He already know how to caste sparkles and make a small floating light, oh what joy!

Yanold Grys'ymor, first born child to the Grys'ymor dynasty, cursed by the chaos gods due to his family's power and prestige to be a Gaves, in an attempt to weaken the holdings of man. With the foresight of his parent's oracle, he was to be born in isolation away from praying eyes, the signs of his mother's pregnancy hidden with clever applications of magic, in addition to a forged lie to explain his existence to any and all that asked. Worried for the safety of their son, and a willingness to quash all signs of aggression to their first child with an iron fist, the Grys'ymor family was surprised by Yanold's extreme affinity towards diplomacy and pacifying aggressors. With their worries partially addressed the family continued on with their lives, the mother bearing two new heirs, while the wizards was instructed to find any and all means of potentially curing their first born of his "curse." When word came there existed a white magus that could potentially cure their child of his curse, the Grys'ymor's sent a letter with their son detailing the wealth and prestige the healer could gain should they succeed, or the wrath they would suffer should "Apples McGilden" be found dead

Note: beastmen will attack the fortress to claim him for the horde.

>Biggie
>The biggiest, most rotund of the group of rodents. He is an expert food taster, and a slayer of food scraps. No meal is wasted of this fat boi, neigh! Not even the odd poisonous mushroom will keep him down! (He's eaten enough to build up a tolerance to poisonous stuff).
>The reasoning for his departure from his underground home, was due to overhearing other rats wishing to fatten him up for dinner, and some other rats want to eat his russy, whatever that is! Justified with his fears he departed with a group of fellows for green pastures.

>Gretta
A (fe?)male R A T (are there female skaven?) that enjoys mixing and making cheeses. Stolen cows and goats from the above grounders usually don't last long enough for her to play her craft, on account of everyone butchering them before she can milk em, which really suchs since she love cheese! The nutty ones, the stink ones, and the ones cover in wax. She especially loves eating the wax! She also enjoys trying (but mostly failing) to make other dairy products like yogurt and butter. The reasoning behind her passion for the cheesiest of crafts was from spying (and occasionally stealing from) goat farmers.
>When she heard of Biggie's departure, she was self assured that her obese comrade from down unda was following the power of his nose, most likely on a quest to acquire cheese's most excellent!
>Beyond that she enjoys sleeping in the sun, drinking bean juice, and long walks on the beach.

>Cristopher Rattens
A very enthusiastic ratter that wants to be [THE MOST LEGENDARY] bard of his kind, using nothing but his self proclaimed mastery of the cowbell, slay bells, and his MIGHTY triangle. Please be patient with him he is trying his best he will cry if you laugh at him. He left with the others because ever kept laughing at him.

>John Harden
>A self proclaimed rattling of the "God Emperor's mighty army," this strange ratman believed himself to be some kind of weird short human but not a dwarf-midget. Very religious, very weird, likes to call everything not humie "filthy xenos scum!" Everyone agrees that yes, this ratling is definitely a rat, much to everyone confusion, and is very insistent on not being a rat? (Makes some sense damn you!)
>If anyone bothered to ask this strangely literate and common speaking rat what hes so different, he'd explain that he was "ran over by one of em ork trukk's on his way ta mornin PT."
>suffering from strong case of body dysmorphic disorder, this isekai'ed motherfucker is clumsy as all hell, and unfortunately has the all of 1 intelligence of the whole group. He is the tard wrangler, and mostly hangs around these guys because they keep him fed until he figures out how legs work again.

>Chib le Rat
>Professional cannibal and rat pit host
>enjoys catching small rodents, starving them, and having them fight each other to the death for his own amusement
>got in trouble when he convinced too many rat kids to play in his arena.
>promptly fled with the others to continue his rat death match games in peace.

>EUGIENE!
>"That's right Hector, it is I! You thought I met The Lady's embrace in battle did you? Think again! I clawed my way up from death's mighty grasp, and I stand before you now as a rat! Bask in my greatness, for no mortal as great as IHas even been revived like this!"

WOW
5 strength, 1 int, 6 social.
I dub this NPC....Anon Y. Mous, a stranger of a probably human who dons a while mask and wears a nobles attire, a true autist among retards. A fucker of animals, a degenerate through and through. He's so bad that he was banned from summoning demons, and is legally not allowed within 10 meters of demonic entities due to how dirty he makes them feel.
He came upon Griffinmount one fine morning after hunting the scent of deer to score himself some deerpuss and decided to stick around to fuck around and find out.

He knows one magic related spell, and that's to summon demons he'd normally fuck, but, again. Banned for sexual harassments and /rape/.

"Verthicha?
- Brother, you're back! Want to fight? It's been long.
- Not now. Why are there three times more people here than when I left?
- Surprise for you! growing your people-hoard!"
The thought is nice, really. And some of them are really fate-sent, like most of the halflings and Sister Senri.
Other ones? They're problematic. From better to worst :
>Rose Burrows might cause trouble with her racism toward greenskins.
>Apples McGilden. He's the sweetest cinamon roll, but you can FEEL his presence will generate problems.
>Ame. His motives are undiscernable, and you're concerned about this anti-social refusing to redo any of his work that, well, works.
>Tomb king. Hector will never accept to cohabite with him.
>Skavens. Emergency rations or test subjects, but can you accept them outright? You don't have guarantees they'll work nicely with other species, they seem less aggressive but with as much issues as your usual ratman, and no way to tell they're not spies. At least, they won't proliferate
>Anon Y Mouse. Reeks of chaos and mental instability. No way you can get anything positive by his presence in your village.

>Each anon makes a list about who to keep, who to boot.
>>
>>5552930
I'm worried about Anon Y Mouse, thinking of just kicking him out right now
We can keep the the Skaven under heavy observation, and just kill and eat them if they try anything.
The Tomb King can stay in his workshop, and try to talk with Hector about this
As long as Ame doesn't cause an explosion in his lab, he won't cause troubles
I refuse the idea of not keeping Apples
Rose's hatred for greenskins can be appeased by keeping her far away from them. Since they are underground with Vert Just realized our bro shortened name is green in french. Was this intentional QM?[/spoiler, and she probably will live in the village or a farmhouse outside the fortress.
>>
>>5552946
half-intentional. Had a few name generated and picked the ones I liked the most for all of all.
Throdenslemoni -> the moni helps with "of many shape"
Wanotreyxkaiv is a pain to remember though.
>>
>>5552930
Boot:
Apples McGilden. Yes i am racist against Beastmen no matter where they come from.
Anon. We dont need a servqnt to lol random in our village

Keep:
Skaven get thrown in Prison for Experimentation purposes
Tomb Ling can stay if he keeps to the lower floors and stays out of Hectors and anyone elses Way otherwise he gets the boot.
If Rose does something stupid the Greenskins will likely eat her. Make that very clear to her that if she acts first we will not defend her when it comes to chew her face off.

Ame can stay if he shares his works with our Sister so she can supply him with new ingredients in return. The old concotion recepies are of no value to him so he should have no problem sharing old notes
>>
>>5552930
I say keep them all and just seclude more of the problematic ones
>>
>>5552930
Keep them all

Rose: talk with her. We understand her racism can be warranted, but these are OUR green skins. If they get out of line, we eating the stupid ones. Simple as, but the same goes for anyone being malicious.

Apples is also a keeper because he is my baby. But also because he will generate hordes of beastmen that we can kill for loot, food, AND depopulated the local beastmen population as we increase our fighting proficency.

Ame is autistic and needs a talking too.

The tomb king is very funny. Hector needs to see it like this: this very old, old being, was fired from his old job because he called his last boss a little bitch. Just the whole scenario of an ancient being insulting his boss, AND having a job is hilarious.

The skaven will...okay I will admit that they are the second most problematic of the group. They will require personal interviews. Some may be picked, some may not.

Anon.....fucking put this man in a cage, study him. Weaponize him. Unleash him against the demons so he may /rape/ them.

DragonQM can we build a wall around our village? I feel that we need a wall to protect it in case of another horde.
>>
>>5553258

The situation on who to keep and who to boot is already brewing a potent headache. Even the creepy Mouse guy can be turned into an interesting test subject, making should he stays or should he go a difficult one to answer.
Edwyrd is hugging and getting really tactile with your sister. You give him a bone-chilling stare to ensure he keeps his hands to himself. However, she seems genuinely happy to see her guardian back. Do you look so puppy-like when Hector visits? Father, you hope not.
Anyway, there is something long, long due.
>Waag attempt to grow in numbers : 47
No, no. Not that stupid goblin stuff, they're back, roughly the same number as before - a few goblins and snotlin died, a lil more of snotlin graduated to snotlin, nothing interesting.
>Mathias Quest for the Violet Enchantress : 66
No, not that either. Hector met Mathias, who unsuccesfully tracks the Violet spellcaster. The strange part, the enchantress is still active while [red]Throdenslemoni[/red] haven't fed her savior complex recently.
No, you want to get more information on really important things... How is sweet, sweet, [blue]Wanotreyxkaiv[/blue] going?

>Blue and Gwendoline Nat100 over ruling
It takes you a couple hour, but you open a direct wind channel between the two of you.
Messages takes almost half an hour to cross the link, and it requires a constant concentration.
>"Wanotreyxkaiv? It's me, Sidridijika. How are things going? Do you need help, physical, material?
- Actually, no... Things are going great..."
She proceeds to tell how, following your intervention, the village under the castle rised again under the good care of their rightful ruler.
The good people never accepted the official ruling of the emperor's delegate dismissing Gwendoline's family. Upon cleaning the chaotic filth, villagers that fled and survived in the woodlands and hills got back to their houses. Gwendoline still employs and pay fully her blinded servants, that might benefits from restaurative healing.
Gwendoline ruled over her land with foresight and strategy, starting to train a milice immediately. Vikings came back, probing at the castle. They were received with a mix of youngster and battle-hardened veterans.
>Lady Gwendoline of house Binah's military :
> 10 Handgunners
> 5 Electoral Knights (Heavy armor)
> 15 Imperial Vougiers
There are still problems and a deep wound in the heart and flesh of involved people, but Gwendoline's return and soft hand, guided by your sister, does an excellent job at mending it.

You worked for a few day with your old master. The design is intricate. Dense. Still, it seems good for both of you.
But you're concerned for Borri. The old man is the shadow of his former self. He lost a fair amount of weight, and you can feel he isn't sleeping well.
Each failure pile on the top of the previous one, and it's taking its toll.
"Alright, lad. The moment of truth..."
The precious reagent is getting poured. And the pattern lit, like silvery-blue embroidered flowers.
And you see a wrong key pattern. Repeting, all around the structure.
>1 success, from external viewpoint
"Master, stop! There is a self-feedback loop!
- good catch, my pupil."
You manage to save a fair amount of the reagent.
The old dwarf master falls on his favorite armchair, looking as if he was hit when he realized he allowed himself of such a crass mistake. You're worried about his health, and you're afraid this is not something your magic can cure.

Miracle still up to discussion
>>
>>5554589
Borri needs a peep talk. He shouldn't see this as a failure, but as a minor set back. He has all the time he needs to make many more in the future. Hes not only one, not teo, but several golems. Yes even reintroduced art of golem crafting to his people.

I still think we should practice a miracle on a plant some distance away. Better safe than sorry.
>>
>>5554598
The problem is that it's his third or fourth (nearly) catastrophic failure in a row when trying to build a golem.
A pep talk alone isn't enough, he needs to focus on something else for a while and have some other successes, to regain some confidence
>>5554507
>Oh damn how'd he get crippled?
When he lost his first golem, he got so demoralized he lost part of his skills
>>
>>5554589
>"Master please take some time off. Eat something and get some real sleep. You are a great Rune Crafter and even a Master like you can push themselves too hard. You get a little bit away your fort.
Not too far, something that your resident can walk to in a couple hour. Two peaks away, you find a suitable place.
Leylines are nice over here. The land unfolds right under your eyes. Not that far, mind you, because of the uneven terrain, like the Mother placed a lord's dining hall table of matter over an humble peasant's family plank over trestles.
What's with that knightly metaphor? It is something Hector could have thought of. Your heart tightens at the thought of the guardian. You are missing the man and his lord-appointed band of misfits. More than your sister. Concerning? Well, you're not here to have grand realization about the power of friendship or anything, but to live up to your name. You're the Harbringer of miracles, and Miracles will be harbringed. Humble miracle though.
>19 : Miracle succeed
XP granted under 'Creation' subskill
Under your will, the tapestry of fate rewrites itself to include the modification you wish in its greater motives. A couple tail lashes, and stone crumbles, leaving a meter-wide spherical depression. Water infiltrates slowly, raising until the edge without spilling a drop.
That place is really nice. You could definitely turn it into a sacred pilgrimage for your soon-to-be priesthood, you think in the few minutes flight it takes you to get back home.
You settled your man about the new person in the hold. Before taking action, one last thing.
Your request to your master to take some rest have not be listened. But maybe you can bait him into changing its mind?
"Masterr, I saw something strange in my daily flight. See that mountain pike? on the top of it lies a pond that wasn't here before. Could you have a look on it for me?
- Well, lad, I'd be happy for you to drop me there.
- No, no. I tell you, you need rest. Fresh air. Change of mind. Walk therrre, masterrr. Maybe it will grant you natural inspiration to walk among the risen rocks tearing the skies? Also, It'd be a nice activity for bonding with our new dwarven companions - I had seldom time to allocate them.
- Very well, if you insist..."
Yeah, the old man is not going well. An easy to convince dwarf? Rare sight.

i am not seeing the positives because my racism against Beastmen blinds me to it.

i got like 60 Tzaangors so i painted my fair share of beastmen that can not be divorced from chaos so yeah. that is where that bias comes from.

The Walk in Freezer would be kinda cool i have to say. Because at that point we can probably do more than just go to slightly above freezing.
>>
>>5556525
If you're racist against beastmen, you might like keeping Apple.
Think about it like this. You hate beastmen right? And you would prefer them dead than alive? Well, Apple is a magnet and will attract beastmen, who will die by the thousands against our defenses. It would be like fishing in a way, and this would ensure that our "fridge" is always full, as opposed to spending OUR MONEY to buy meat and wheat.
And I maaaay had made Apples this way because I was worried the skaven would stop attacking us which might make us starve for food.

I wont try to convince you and will put up with the consensus even if i disagree personally.
>>
>>5556555
Man I dunno it's late for me. The way I see it, we can use our magic to purify Apple if he has any chaos juice in him, or we let the beastmen attack us so we don't have to waste resources and time to find beast folk to kill.

Also I got an idea: remember the nonlethal knight posting tournament? What if we did something like that, but as an arena or colosseum to generate revenue or train people in? This would be a great gift idea for our brother as he would undoubtedly love to be a fighting arena's patron. He excavated the rocks and dirt, we provide crystal tough support beams.
>>

interesting Idea Anon. maybe have some Greenskins as well with their big bad boss telling them that if they kill their opposition he will kill them very painfully and slowly.

Shoudl help with getting some Orks and keeping them entertained as well as the Audience. "Brot und Spiele" we give the populace blood and games to distract them from their daily monotiny. should also be able to boost our healers by making them more accustomed with Magical healing and some experimentation for the best healing balms.

catch some sleep man.

>A tale about Anon
While the kiddo is out, you decide to deal with the creepiest entity you've dealt with so far.
First, there is the stench. A mix of sweat, urine and a dash of feces. Apparently, when indicated where to find a clear stream to scrape the filth out of his sorry self, he started to rant about how the various King and Emperor imposed people to wash so that will weaken their occult field and get them manipulated more easily.
That was almost the only interaction, as he requested a house - four slab of stones under which he crawls, and he seldom gets out.
The problem is his attitude when this happen.
He follows female of the hold. Both the Agathe, Fabienne, Laeticia and Julia complained about getting followed and some of their laundry missing, but even more concerning is Estelle's report of having found the man observing him skulking around her newborn girl.
He can't hide from you in the hold - the winds betrays his position at all time because of his rancid stench. And he's starting to follow your sister. That crosses the line hard.

Time for an abduction.
You get out of your lair, identify your target, dive.

Not sure if this vote is still open, but:
>It's too early to send her out on her own, fortunately, we have quite a few new faces around, we should observe first how well she interacts with everyone.
(am I being too overprotective? As much as the idea of she becoming our "Dragon-pope" appeals to me, we can't forget she panics quite easily under pressure, so we should do some tests first, like sending her out, maybe to her old village to offer some healing or maybe trade something we have for food or something, just to see how well she can negotiate [after negotiation is also part of politics, but with less deceiving]. Of course, wearing our necklace with us inside in case something bad happens)
>Learn how to read and write with Sister Sennri
QM didn't answer me, but again, I think it's safe to assume she can read and write, and it surely will be useful for her in the future.

Also, I said it before and I'll say it again, although it didn't manifest since (possibly because we busy all the time), there was a hind of some sort of link between Agathe and us right after we fixed her brain, so unless she herself wants to, I don't think there's a need to make her our guardian (since there may already be a different link present).
Also2, I don't want her to fight, since it's a dangerous world, we must teach her enough so she can defend herself if needed, but that's about it.

That definitely hit the mark. Good for you, as your movement are getting sluggish and sluggier, falling faster and faster toward the abomination.
Abomination still standing and ready to slam you with the greasy unwashed mass of its body
>CQC crit vs 19
All the preparation and carefully preparated plans of Anon relied on him being faster than a slowed-down dragon. But he forget something essential. You are light. You are wind. What can be faster?
You slam your claw a fraction of a second before the wiggling mass reaches you. The spell dissipated as the body turns into a pool of Ichor.
You can cleanse it, of course. But you're pretty sure that binding its essence into something will be more useful.

Quick, before the precious thing dissipates. Integrate it.
>DC is 2 point lower while crafting an item
>So... Crit + 1 success -> Three successes
you carve the wood, and poor ichor insides.
The fluid compresses and only the magical essence remains, rest being full of water.
You managed to use all of the volatile Ichor, drawing familiar pattern to animate it and turn the apathical source in the extreme inverse : a perpetually moving trinket, feeling you with energy and motivation. You acted on a kind of trance, until you realize what you've done.
The resulting rune is almost at the level of a masterwork rune. Really close to it as it's a set of minor modifications of the Hold Guardian rune : using magical energy to animate matter, although the Hold Guardian rune is more focused on the mechanical output of energy while your rune is more a Resiliance or Perseverance one.
