You are Sidridijika [The Harbringer of Miracles] the white Magus, a crystal dragon. A young one, hatched in the early spring ten months ago. Not a wyrmling anymore, but still far from adulthood.
Last, but not least, your Strategy prowess, developped since you are an hatchling thanks to a cabinet filled with miniatures of soldiers from all the world's armies and a book detailling their forces and weaknesse; gifted reluctantly by your Mother.
Your defining features are your Arcanic affinity; the legacy of your draconic ancestor, your Presence; inherent to your crystaline blood, Your Flight mastery, the way you broke out of your egg, and your Breath, light element multi shaped tool.
You started a conflicting relationship with your litter. However, circumstances made you closer as you had to team up to survive the dreaded dragon hunters, which killed Father. Now you only have your prized crystal necklace as a memento: an extraplanar space you can fill with your own things, allies, or even unwilling enemies after an arcanic push.
What about Mother? Well, let's not talk about Mother. Although some recent third eye vision might explain her behavior as natural and normal Draconic hatching mindwarp.
Now you have bounded as a pack with Little green, the hard headed and tough fighter emerald dragon, Little Purple, the cunning and tinkering Amethyst dragon and Little blue, your favorite, alchemy-gifted, fighting-deficient, mind-reader favorite sister.
You luckily found really fast a location suitable for a lair worthy of your Pandraconium : a fallen dwarven hold, invaded with skavens, home of a Griffin and her cubs, which now have left the nest.
You drive out most of the skavens, with the help of chaos warrior you tricked to fight for you until their death, then become friend with the monster of the third floor.
You recruited nearby humans to serve as canon fodder against the rat tide coming right for your lair. The humans were lead by a young noble, Hector.
Your alliance destroyed the invading forces, killing the hundred skavens with only two lancers down. Hector tamed one of the griffin cub, named it Vaillant, and went on his own adventures while your larder was filled to the brim.
You then acquired your first inhabitant, an human girl named Agathe you healed from a condition crippling her mental abilities.
>>
Troubling your new calm, an elven squad was swiftly disbanded before a whole army came knocking at your door. The elven prince made diplomatic excuses, giving you elven runes secret and tutelage of a dragon which conduct the name-granting ceremony.
Your siblings have been named Verthicha (The Mountain), Throdenslemoni (Of Many shapes), and Wanotreyxkaiv (The Princess)
In the meantime, Hector put himself in deep trouble by accepting an invitation to a feast where he was on the Menu, and you mounted a rescue operation. Using your draconic knowledge, you gift him a scale, turning him into your Guardian.
After a somewhat slow start with his minstrel friend Guillot including almost starving to death while looking for some food sources, and almost getting killed by Beast Herds, the Knight grew a lot and steadily improved over the course of the year, becoming a fearsome foe on a battlefield, leading around fifteen valorous errant Knights and acquiring a list of feat of arms too long to relate here.
You also recruited a master Runesmith, Borri Ironbrow, and one thing leading to an other, Urist Fonderferson the steel smith and Thurmoum, the Orichalcum smith. You also have stolen the whole dwarven orichalcum reserve and kidnapped their king, corrupted by chaos. Strangely, the bearded Axe-crazy people doesn't seem to take goodly your benevolence.
After a few battles, you succesfully routed skaven, dwarven and undead forces several times. Your sibling acquired their own guardians, and Hector overreacted to the loss of one of his fodder knight, but this ain't a story about them anyway.
You are slowly tuning your lair to your taste and need, with the crafting of the Three-Moon Astrolabus and the Orichalcum Scepter, respectively enhancing your Divination and Light Magics.
Right now, you are making efforts to stabilize food production. However, farming is tedious work, so you convinced some Human sucker to do it for you against protection.
Well, "now" is a bit of a lie; the winds of winters and the short days forbidding most of the exterior work gave you ample time for...

going with this desu.

we need more hoard to grow . and we have been lacking. and am also good with these other options
>>
>>5477187
Explicitly state that the more stuff that they bring back to our fortress, the more arms, armor, and supplies we can provide them the next time they come back. Especially if they come back with money and gold. preferably gold. We know that they have horses. If they don't have a cart, we can have one or several commissioned for them by the woodworker human from the small town. If anything, having additional carts mean they can travel longer distances away from civilization by packing more rations, toiletries, and spare weapons/armor.

We'll take literally anything they find. Wargear scraps from oaks, skaven, beast folk. We'll melt it all down and make something better out of all of it, and any wealth they "invest" in us means we can readily supply them with better wargear.

We shouldn't have to say this, but their silence is necessary if they desire our continued patronage. Having a friend in literal high places is a nice thing to have.

Finally lets get Renee's issue out of the way. I don't trust her enough to not be a loose end, so lets use Divinitation to understand why she dislikes dragons.

>>5477192
What about other things like these? ^^^

With this the hoard should grow naturally as we get more connections and business through the prestegous patronage of knights high up......

Let's see...
>Training sweet, sweet Agathe in the arts of Magic
Since it's winter (or almost), getting her to be able to control the snow outside would be nice (reshape and control the density, force enough snow together and it could hit pretty hard or make shields, etc, etc).

>Interaction with Hector's knights
Supporting this idea >>5477523.
>"Firstly, I'm sorry we weren't able to save all of your comrades, but I'm truly grateful for your help against the undead forces, it may still be far from over, but let's work together again to eradicate them and create a safer world."

Requesting the help of your siblings, you screen all the knights for Magical potential. None of them have a light inclination, neither register for psychic, sonic, wind or earth. Strangely, the two having prowess fall under the mastery of Throdenslemoni, with Renée displaying mastering over the Force aspect, while Lucien seems to have an affinity with Time - You suspect he's blaming himself for the death of Boniface and the wounds of Raymond and Hyetta. Did he thought with better reflexes or more time on his hands he would have saved them? The good part of this, it didn't took you to much time to screen them. You bribe your sister into knight-training by giving her a Guillot for easier training of the knights and Edwyrd. Well, if Renée accepts. Speaking of, time to delve a bit deeper on that matter.

Wind is the aspect of Air. Good old gust of wind, wind blades, and a bit overlap with Sonic with, for example carrying messages away, weather, flight, that kind of stuff.
Force is raw magic action over the material world. This is the stuff that can create magical almost-invisible walls, arcanic bolts, and such. This magic is really polyvalent, but the most prone to dispel or resistance as lacking a physical medium. But this lack of physical medium indicate more damages to uncorporeal beings.

You focus on the lady knight, and your gaze drift. Having her in your lair actually help finding your focus, a point far away in both space - border between Inair duchedom and Sonnstahl empire, empire side - and time - around your birth.
Inair is the most prosperous duchedom thanks to the breeders of Hippogriffs and commercial ties with the empire.
Paradoxically, the land is riddled with bandits in consequences of the lack of monster and the difficulty of getting Knights to focus on fighting non-corrupted humans in a world with lizardmen, goblins and chaos beasts.
The border with the empire gather a lot of deserters from the empire side, looking for an easier life as a Knight, and often resorting to banditism from imperial refugees that don't make the cut.
But enough about the far Kingdom of Equitaine, where your mother Valérie grew, and the tales about knights in shining armor, giving anybody a chance to shine by their own merit.
You can't help but wonder how much of thoses merits are simple consequence of knight children studying the blade and getting proper plate armor when commoner would be lucky to have a steel shield in addiiton to their sword.
You are a young lady, getting ready for Spring's equinox ball. Mainly, walking home with the fabric in which you plan to make your dress. Not that you care about the ball itself, but your father is getting old and another man would definitely reduce your own share of work in the fields to feed your mother, your sisters and yourself.
That would prove itself a challenge : you know most of the young men around. Finding someone not being a runt with at the same time a functional brain, and a minimal human quality will be impossible; standards will have to be lowered.
You are driven out of the unpleasant peasant thoughts. Is that smoke? You rush to your home.
>>
The vision fragments, under a black shroud. Events are mixed, only letting you see fragments. And as you're stuck in a first-person view, that's for the best, really.
A white-haired man, his throat sliced, drowning in a puddle of his own blood. Soldiers, men, ten of them. Pinning your sisters and your mother down on the mud, assisting each other by holding legs, chocking, slicing throats once down.
"Fresh blood, comrades!
- Get done quick. The white dragon awaits." Their leader, a thirty-something tall and strong man, doesn't take an active roll in the looting and raping.
Your turn is next. All your family is gone at this point. Your mind avoid the suffering by trying to find a way out. And such a way you find : only one man is assaulting you, as you gave up on fighting and struggling - those would only have decreased your options by getting pinned on the ground by three men and not only one.
The man is pushing and grunting, tearing your insides with his back and forth. You put your hand on his thighs, he takes that as encouragement. He looks surprise when his last thrust is met with the point of his knife, that you push deep in his gut.
"Chief, the whore killed Audric!
- We lost to many time. And the White dragon doesn't care about weak mens."
This auspicious phrase is accompanied with the sight of a white dragon flying over the farm, landing, freezing the cattle and the dead - your family and Audric alike - with his breath and feeding on their frozen chunks.
Not even proper funerals are allowed for you to grief.
Overwhelmed by fear, shock and sorrow, the outlaws straight out ignore you on order of their leader, despite catching some hateful gaze from the privates.
What live is there in the empire for a lone farmer's girl, her virginity taken from her, with only a burned house? Not only a burned house. The soldiers left Audric's things aside - his metal armor, sword, horse.
Tales of your late mother about knight equipped only with their valor comes back to your mind.

... "Hector, you're there?
- Yeah, would have preferred you don't drag me into that frankly...

Can we really take on a (I'm assuming) adult dragon as we are now?
I'm all in on setting it as an objective for the future, but doing it right now seems more than a little dangerous, almost suicidal even.

But then again, I'm the one with no Warhammer knowledge, so what do I know?

>>5477923
Did we already show Hector our vision?
Because personally, I'd rather just ask him if he wants us to show/tell him, or if he would prefer to know through Renée herself, when she's comfortable with sharing, and then leave it to him for the time being. They have some respect and some degree of affection for each other, so it's better to let her open up to him and maybe decide to rely on him for help with that white dragon, which then we could offer our assistance.
That's what I think anyways.
More roundabout? Sure. But better than to try to rush things and ruin everything.

>>5477991
Wait, I know what we can do: Find mom. One adult dragons + three young ones should tip the scale.
Problem is that she would likely to want to be the one to rule the our group due to seniority, and she is a chromatic with a trickster bent.
We know she was in a bad mood because she gave birth, but we also don't know how evil she was, or if she would care about stopping an evil dragon.

The training goes quite well.
Edwyrd is making progress over his mastery - not that you care much about your sister boy toy. Renée doesn't seem to learn fast. a couple bolt materialized in the course of training, but she's getting tense when any dragon comes nearby, leaving Throdenslemoni ample time to focus on Lucien. And that bear fruits.
>2d20, range self : fasten/slow. Gives a edge in fight and against projectiles, decreasing wait times or preserving him in case of wound

Speaking of Renée, she's been avoiding Hector's company since the battle. Claire is taking using the opportunity to take her shot and cooks a lot for the Knight's lead.

We are all gem dragons, yet White acts closer to a metallic. Blue is the epitome of a the friendliness, trying to be peaceful, diplomatic and unifying force. Basically going the route that he only guessed what happened due to common stories of people hating dragons and stuff like that.

also trying to prove to her that dragons are as different from each other and not all dragons are assholes. And if she wanted the help of him and these dragons all she had to do was ask and they would see what they could do about anything about helping her get revenge if that is what she wants.

Ok, here's an idea if we HAVE to say we know what happened and explain ourselves.
I have no idea if it's bad or not. In one hand it's admitting a massive breach of privacy, on the other is being truthful after lying.
So please don't include this write-in QM unless we all agree on it.

And it's exactly because of hiding things from you that I wanted to talk to you. All I have to say is that I'm sorry for what happened, for not immediately coming to talk to you. I didn't know what to say or do, and I still don't. All I ask is for you to please let me finish everything.
Sidridijika noticed that you still were angry at his family, and decided to use divination to see if you would accept the offer for magic training from Throdenslemoni. Thing is his magic has a tendency to be even more fickle than normal, and as one of his guardians, I end up getting dragged along.
We saw what happened, through your eyes. I understand if you are angry and me or him for it. He wanted to know how to help you, in his own weird way. But even if hate us for what happened, we still want to help you to bring justice to those monsters. Because you are a dear friend and companion to me, and it's the right thing to do.

Even if telling her would be the right move, what I wrote is definitely maximum autism overdrive though. So would need a few rewrites first.

"Here for you, Hector. Wild flower infusion. Picked them up myself.
- Thanks, Claire.
- You know, usually it's the guy that have to gift the girl the flowers. If you bring me roses, and slimes, I can turn them into a dessert that is fabled to make people betray their family for more - although I always thought this was an overestimation...
- You'rrre happy with yourrrself, ladyboy? Ssstop messssing arround withhh all the females of the forrrt - Agathe is offff-limit for you and everyone so especially warrrrn Guillot, I'll hate having to kill him - so go and pamperrr the lady

- Yeah, good times. But now it'ss differrrent. So go see herrr."
Hector can't argue with White when he chooses the path of bad faith.

"Hi Renée
- ... Hi..."
She avoids Hector's gaze, and tries to walk away. Hector puts a hand over her shoulder
"Renée, wait"
She freezes and tenses up. Hector wants to slap himself : a white-dragon related man and physical domination were not a smart mix. Hector get his hand out as if Renée's shoulder just burned him.
" Renée, I noticed that you have been avoiding me this past few days. Our conversation was short before the battle, and we have been too busy mourning and training to finish it.
- What is there to say, really? You're a dragon-slave. You chose your overlord to heal instead of one of your companions, she said as she turns away from Hector
- That's not what happened. I choose Sidridijika because he's a best healer than myself, and in the case he had expended energy, it could have given a way to evacuate wounded towards a nearby village, with more healers. In the hand, this decision saved Hyetta and Raymond. I'm torn by Boniface's loss. Did you know he developped light magic? No healing though - else
Purple was one too, thinking about it.

>Renée, I noticed that you have been avoiding me this past few days. Our conversation was sort before the battle, and we have been too busy mourning and training to finish it. I would definitely have gone for him.
"
That gave her food for thoughts. She remains silent. Hector navigated in the dwarven carved corridor around her in a sort of waltz. Somewhere around the middle of his speech, she stopped turning away, although keeping avoiding her gaze.
"Renee. It seems that you really don't like dragons. I have seen it during these last days when the purple one tried to teach you magic. I would guess that something bad happened to you that involved a Dragon. Could you tell me more about it?
- Dragons, they're scary, right. But I fear more the men working for them..."
That would have been an ominous sentence, if Hector didn't knew better.

You know about the several kinds of dragons?
metallic colors: are the good ones. Noble, steadfast, playful, or just wanting some good company.
chromatic colours, on an other hand, are generally assholes, fuck them.
gem dragons are on a scale in between. More humans, for the best and the worst.
The family down here kind of is the perfect example of how each individual is different, isn't it?
They are all gem dragons, yet White acts closer to a metallic. Blue is the epitome of a the friendliness, trying to be peaceful, diplomatic and unifying force. Purple exemplifies the trickster and playful part of the gems dragons. Meanwhile Green is grumpy that would rather dig a hole, and is a bit of a bully. He gave me some of my life's worst beatings.

Renée remains silent. That gets awkward.
"We need to solve this. We can't let this be a wedge between us. Not only because you are my second in command, but also because I consider you a good friend.
I don't want to lose another one, not by my own failures. You opened up to me with the letter, poured you heart and soul to me, and I have responded by hiding things from you. So please, forgive me.

"I come from the Empire. Rumors about Raymond's origin always made me smile.
- So he's not from empire?
- Or he have a hellishing good imitation of the Tourain accent. I don't want to detail too much... But men like you, men serving a white dragon, they attacked my family. They killed my father, mother, and two sisters. Raped them first. Did ... that... to me too. I stabbed, took horse and armor, fled to Equitaine, joined errant knights.
- This is where you met the others?
- Indeed. I disguised as a man, as I was afraid of the males' stare. I felt like everybody could see me as an unpure wench... Or assault me again. I didn't talked much for both masking my empire origins and girl voice. And then, I saw you fight. Inspiring, with your blessed gear, your own heroic record-taking minstrel, your light magic, and your Griffin. You saved us all that day.
Gradually, I learned to know you. The battlemaster hides a thoughtful, down to earth, easy to get close guy. You're the center of all maiden attention anywhere you go, and the nice part is you don't get it. The signs where obvious - I wanted to get closer. Never felt that way. But your strength and confidence... They scare me.
- That explains your jumpiness, and propensity to get your hand on your rapier... "

I was writing something, but it ended up a more autistic version of this, so I'll just support instead.

I also would like to mention that Renée got prime protagonist energy: villager with home burned by dragon, faked being a man, rised up fast, got the interest of a shining knight.

Probably because it might not be socially acceptable to have a harem in their society.

If we make swords for Renee and Lucien, but we use the magic metal stuff and the fist sized light gems, could we make light sabers?

Curse Hectors sense of honour! Also what is our limit of Guardians now? I am considering we make either Mathias or my man Gulliot our second one
>>
>>5478451
Our limit is 3, until we change that via trait or something.

We're not picking Mathias or Gulliot as they're already considered a part of Hector's "pack." It would be better to pick someone different to fill a different niche for us, preferably of a different race.
>>
>>5478451
I think our maximum is three, but we can't increase it.
>>
>>5478474
How about a healed high king
>>
>>5478474
Ah so 3 is the limit
>>5478479
I support this. If we can get a High King on our side that would be amazing but first, we actually have to heal him, but new thread and new luck have been doing well so maybe we can?
>>
>>5478479
>>5478489
Know what? That ain't a bad idea. Depending on how grateful the king is feeling, and if he'd even consider becoming one of our guardians, this could prove to be extremely advantageous to us. To have a dwarf in the highest position of governmental power on our side would mean a lot for us.

That is however only true so long as the high king remains the high king. If the dwarves decide to replace their king as they cannot determine if he is still alive, they might instead elect a new king, making the king in our care useless.

Which is why we need to finish the High King Purification Quest as soon as possible. To speed things up a bit I propose we continue our assault against the undead so we can level up our light/glass magic to a point where we might be able to purify a corrupted dwarves nobles in 2 tries on average.

Hector put his hand on Renée's shoulder. This time, she looks more comfortable with the physical contact. Hector locks her bright, green eyes in his own blue gaze.
"You have been through much. I dont think anyone here especially not me would see you as lesser because of what happened.
- ... Thanks..."
Hector put his other arm around Renée's waist. He's pulling her lightly toward him. She looks at his eyes, his mouth, his eyes again.
Her breath get shorter, her hands slither in the young Banneret's back. She tilt her face, close her eyes, get her face closer to Hector's.
Hector keeps pulling, missing Renée's face, going for a hug. In his back, confused caressing hands turns into pats.
"Know that I'm here for you, as a friend, or something more, and I'm not going anywhere.

Over the course of the weeks, you spent a few hours each day to train Agathe.
You start by transmitting your inherited draconic knowledge, thousands of year of concepts studied and passed down when you hatched - that raise an important question : all of you inherited different legacy. Why? Did you chose, or someone else like your parents did for you?
Then, practice. That is, until your student is spent. Last, you discuss how things went, and why.
You focus application on controlling the snow as an example.
Teaching is very beneficial for both of you. Agathe learns quite fast, and explaining things, finding words, reformulating concepts, allow you deeper understanding of your own magic.

Alas, the shadow master seems a sore loser. The ink dives into the marble statue, attempting to hide from your allmighty scrutiny.
In the real world, flesh of the King under the Mountains melt, bend, weave itself in something different. Something out of this world.
>Double Crit fail :
You can salvage it. You double down. Put all your heart, soul, energy in the race for purification.
>White is Manaless.
>White is Breathless
>Not a triple Crit fail :
You're losing the race. It would be disastrous to overcommit and fail. You cut the expense at this point, before sacrificing your own health.
The transformation completes. The monster in front of you rises, tearing his chains out of the second floor wall you installed him in.
That can't be a good omen, this chains were made by Urist with craftdwarfship of the highest quality.
The chaos-tainted dwarf is at least as strong as the demon you slayed with Hector. And strength is raising each second.
But you're in your lair, surrounded by allies. But you're in your lair, surrounded by non-fighter that have to be protected.
A quick scan of the winds reveals Agathe is in her house, out of the dwarven hold. Gwendoline is, as usual, melancholicly contemplating the grayscaled winter landscape a couple steps away.
Hector and the non-magical knights are training in his soon-to-be town, even giving basic exercises to the peasants. Throdenslemoni is in her lair with Edwyrd, Renée, Lucien and Guillot, on the first floor.
Master, Urist and Thurmoum are in the forge, complaining about the lack of ale.
Wanotreyxkaiv is at the limit of your gaze, in the underground river. Verthicha is lower, doing who knows what with his dwarf.

What's your plan?
>Fight it yourself!
>Contain it here, ask for help [Global? Who's help else?]
>Bait it to follow you and go outside to rally Hector and the knights
>Bait it to follow you and go First floor to rally Purple, Renée, Lucien, Guillot and Edwyrd
>Bait it to follow you and go Second floor to rally Wanotreyxkaiv
>Bait it to follow you and go Deeper to rally Verthicha
>Bait it to go outside and leave it being someone's else problem

>Bait it to follow you and go Deeper to rally Verthicha
Don't know how risky it is, or how possible it'll be, but maybe Vert could use the earth magic to crush the demon, since it would already be well underground.
(I was considering going to Hector since the has that headband skill and light attribute, but I also feel like we would lose more knights with this)
Basically, there's nothing but worry, but let's see what happens.

>>5479988
We should have gone with Heavengazer, or any other I guess, Miracles are useless until we have a Crit Range of at least 10~20

No, you're rolling a pool of 8 dice, splitted in 4 from Hector +3 from white + 1 for green support. Hence the lack of Crit fail so far for some 3-dice white roll without 15+.
Without the trait, you'll be rolling 4 dice at +2 (green CQC) + 1 from your and Hector support.

>Double Crit of Hector, Full scale mastery : 8 wound inflicted
Laughing is bravado. The foe is on his last legs.
Hector charges, going for a trunk-level cleave. You bounce, going for the head. Verthicha, behind, go for the already wounded legs. Tear, bite, strike. The ruined king is torned apart, three parts.

The black ichor spills. The head keep laughing.
"Don't forget, white dragon and brave human. One day you will join my hoard. Now, let me count what I'm ready to part with to invest in your growth among chaos...
- You speak too much
Hector slices at mouth and tongue. The thing still attempt to move for a few minute, but you gather what remains to start cleansing away the chaotic filth.
"Hector! you're... you're wounded! never saw anyone or anything touch you in a serious fight!
- That thing... Was even more dangerous than the one at the hellish forge..."
Hearing the commotion caused by the running Hector, Guillot, Lucien and Renée dropped their class and followed. They assisted the end of the fight. Corridors and condition made them unable to assist.
On the other side, a few greenskin show their ugly head and mutter to each other.
...
Wait a minute...
You never saw goblin joining above ground.
"Verthicha? You dug a tunnel to the greenskin camp
- Yes! Easier to fight them when they come! Me feel not good far of mountain.
You slap him behind the head with your wing.

Alright guys. Working on the update, I've updated guardians and army sheets.
Guardian works a bit more complicated than what White supposed, as seen in Father's vision : he had gift of Scale, Breath, and Arcanum guardians. Here's a quick rundown so you can design what Gift Green gives Chadlin

>White's scale gift : the Miracle Harbringer [Hector]
>Unique skill unlocked : Miracle (1d20)
>Light affinity
>Crit range upgrade : 19-20
>Crit fail range upgrade : 1-2
>Prone to high risk/high reward plays

>Green's scale gift : The Mountainborn []
>Unique skill unlocked : Toughness (1d20)
>Earth affinity
>Refuse to leave the mountain grounds.

>Purple's scale gift : The Infiltrator
>Skill Mechanics
>Space, Time, Force affinity
>Unique Magic unlocked : Shapeshifting
>Trait : Infiltrator - Shapeshift DC - 3
>Shit-stirrer

>Blue's scale gift : The princess' Honor Guard [Unused yet]
>Unique skill : TBD
>Psy affinity
>Can't leave Blue

>Blue's scale gift : the Gracious Ruler
>Sound affinity
>Skill : Psyonism
>Can't fight
>Trait : Universal diplomate - Can negociate with any people, barring chaos factions.

>Write-In new gift for Green
>>
>>5481047
>Greens Scale gift: The Mountain Winds
>Skill: Excavation
>Earth and Wind Affinity
>Unique Trait: Unyielding (1D20) - when leading a unit that takes damage may make an unyielding check to protect them from all attacks in a round of combat negating all damage
>May move freely but must stay on the move every couple of days when away from the Mountain
>>
>>5481058
That's exactly the kind of energy I want to see.
I'll modify a bit Unyielding to be a general toughness (14 : save one wound, 18 : saves two wounds, 20 : save three wounds) instead of auto-full save, and give a trait like +1 to earth (including excavation) and Wind magic.
>>
>>5481068
Also, something like Unyielding can't be use on self except in crits to avoid making it just a stronger toughness, which is already bullshit-level skill
>>
>>5481047
>Greens Scale gift: Avalanches Fury
>Skill: Intimidation
>Great Earth Affinity
>Unique Trait: Inviolable Rage. When below half health any incoming attack has to subtract 2 from its roll
>Tendency to rush headlong into danger but slow to rise after going to sleep.
>>
>>5481068
i hope its okay that i wrote a second entry as well. i am perfectly happy for someone else to also bring an idea forward. my second idea might lack a bit of creativity.

>Can cause temporary mental and physical exhaustion after use.
>>
>>5481047

I'm keeping Bedrock.
Just realized it can count as a minecraft joke
I think things will be tied with each creator voting for their own until this anon decides >>5481102
>Also, Quads grants you +1 to the next roll.
Nice

>>5481193
5 anon created capacities, I estimate there are around 8 players, on different time frame. To not cuck anyone out of such an important vote - see Hector's prevalence - i might let it run until I think everybody have voted. Then, I'll roll for it.

Bedrock

Looks like we have a winner. Here's my ruley interpretation of the gift :

>Green's scale gift : the bedrock's steadiness
>Elemental affinity : Earth and Wood.
>Unique skill : fortify.
Roll Xd20, X being the skill's level.
Upon success, fortify the location. Enemies can't march through, and opponent's ranged attacks suffer -1(d20)/-5(d100) while your own ranged attacks benefits of +1/+5 for each success.
Fortify takes a week, one day on a crit. Once a location is fortified, if its rank R is less than X, you can reroll (X-R) d20 without suffering consequences of Crit fail each week.
When trying to abandon, roll Xd20 each day until total success number is greater than fort's rank.
>Trait : Tectonical Inertia - +1 to leadership rolls for avoid getting disbanded
>Personality mark : Extra stubborn
>>
>>5481881
Nice. Imagine fortifying the areas around the fortress.
>>
>>5481881
>>5481896
Now we build Pic related.

and that winner would have been my second choice as well
>>
>>5481104
>>5481193
Haha, after my last post, I went to read something else (rereading Tensura), and when I realized, I was already out of time.
Either way, I quite like the chosen option, I find it particularly optimal when taking into account how often we have armies at our doors.

>>5481896
>>5481904
Hell yeah, let's do it.
>>
>>5481904
>>5481937
That was my idea for the ability, fortify a pass nearby, or even the fortress itself.
Now that we have the dwarves as enemies for eternity, it might be useful.
>>
>>5481962
Considering that when the dwarfs, the skaven and the undead came visit all at the same time, they all came from different paths, fortifying the fortress itself is probably the best option.
>>
Deep into the bowels of earth, a coiled serpentine figure awakes from slumber, on a small pile of treasure and plushies.
The scaled shape is immobile, emerging motionless from the dream realm, not disturbing the small and very small humanoids lying next to him.
Against all odds, the dragon is thinking quite hard.
" Me is biggest. Me is greeniest, Me is fightiest.
Me fought really good. Me shown to small greens how to.
Two small greens died. Nah, greens don't die, they get krumped. And getting krumped is good.
Krumping removes fightless of greens. Greens krumping grows greens.
Why? Me don't know. Me will find out.
Four smallest greens became small - Grudim,Orfognk,Mudkins, Remulus. And Cargnorm became still-small less-small.
Between Krumps and growth, 21 small greens, 15 smallest greens, three riders. Enough? "

Then, the reptile set his body in motion, slow and ineluctable as thick molten rock flowing down a volcano's slopes. He starts fiddling with fleece and pieces of fabric, taken from the walking dead.
His gifts are ready once his chosen ones wake up, naturally adapting to the lack of light.
"Chadlin and Krav fought. Not krumped. Deserve rewards. "
Verthicha handle them some zombie-shaped plushies. Chadlin seems embarassed. Krav accepts, putting it in a backpack containing three other ones.
"Krav fought, but not well. Krav stay little if not fight well. Krav must fight better."
The kid dwarf nods with a grim and serious face. He have remarkably missed all of his strikes, missing the first one so hard he felled head first on the mud, then seeing his marks taken away from him one after the other.
"Chadlin fought well. Chadlin deserve reward. Chadlin is Me voice among small greens and smaller green.
Being Me voice big responsability. Chadlin must grow bigger than smaller. Bigger than small. If Cargnorm gets unsmall, Chadlin must fight, win, get unsmall too.
"
The snotling nods seriously, acknowledging the wise truth.
"Chadlin takes claw. Chadlin becomes Verthicha paw in the world."
The greenskin solemny extend his hands and chiseled fingers toward the dragon's outstretched paw. Pulling the claw, stone walls rises around him, supported with wooden beams.
Krav recalls his scale-gifting ceremony, and notice difference : his skin got covered by a thin stone layer, getting larger around his feets, feeling like shackles.
Chadlin looks more determined. Verthicha whispers him :
"Now, we go see your tribe. And we all start digging."

A month pass in an eyeblink. An intricate network of tunnels, starting from the relocalized goblin's camp, runs from a couple of kilometers - assuming one knows where he is going.
This result in a more astute perception of ground in the fort, with early warnings of underground attacks. Weakness covered.
So why was Sidridijika mad? Me don't like when brother's angry.

Borri focus. He carved the pattern, again. This time, he take extra care to avoid last time's silly mistake : as a neophyte, Borri carved a link between exhaust line and arcana, intentional mistake ruining one month of work. This time, the pattern is solid. Borri checked. Borri double-checked. The runemaster pour, and enchant. Power fills the structure. Over the course of the critical days, Borri makes one mistake - spilling a bit of fixative. He uses most of his skills...
>...But it requires three success to craft the master rune
But it's not enough.
Borri feels deep sorrow upon the waste of the precious liquid arcana. And he can't find comfort on his past's success, lost in the hall of the King under the Mountain.
>>

No, you noticed Borri's sadness and sorrow. White have no "feeling" of what happens underground. Never got the opportunity to get a Skaven army popping from under your ass unnoticed, and probably won't in this lair

This results on him spending most of his days sitting in one corner with both squigs.
>14 : spider rider's success thankgs to slavgob
Gromschlon work hard. Focusing part of the tribe's effort, he dug nice alcoves for egg laying. The hard part was finding a mate to his ride. Luckily, his trusted spider being female, and with a bit of whispering to the spider's ear from Slavgob, he got inseminated eggs.

In the valley, peasants launch scared glares at the snotlin. After all, a good greenskin is a dead greenskin. The most scary is the shortest of knights. Chadlin is pretty sure some of the strikes dealt to the training wooden beam might not have been direct threats. At least one.
Chadlin thinks, Chadlin ponders. Chadlin attempts to wield his new gift in the wall already raised by his dragon.
>13 : Failure
And nothing happens. He looks disappointed.
A towering knight, fitted with a nasty halberd and an impressive headband sneak closer while the snotling was searching for the power from inside. The man looks strong. Demonishly so. Can he take down The Boss ?
" Let me guess, little one, you feel in the marrow of your bone you've been imbued with power? And it turns out to be only a scam? "
The snotling nods sadly.
" I know that feeling. But I didn't come for that. I came for warning you. If any of the greenskins create problems... Here, or something else... to the brave people of my king... Let's just say I'll take you personally acountable "
Chadlin gulps. Somehow, someone asking something nicely while holding a weapon is more convincing than one just asking nicely.

The Knight and the Griffin dash forward, meeting the dragon head-on. A cleave is dodge by leaping over it, a bite is sidestep. Hector use the weapon's shaft to hit, Verthicha parries with his paw. Vaillant dives at this instant.
Green somehow feels the backstab coming, turns his head around and breath a gust of wind, preventing his assaillant to get close enough for his strike to connect. The battle-genius used this opportunity to leap forward, clawing, getting back.
"Me win"
Three lines of small rocky ledges ornate Hector's gambison instead of claw tears.
" Nonsense. 'Tis but a scratch.
Me no scratch. Hector scratch. Me win. "
Verthicha walks away, prideful. Chadlin have no doubt anymore about who's the fightiest.

Regarding next steps, everybody recovered from the battle and trained. Winter is in most overground culture the time to gather and socialize. Travelers still get attacked on roads, world doesn't stop because of the weather.

Oh good, it's castle Neuschwanstein, time to climb a long mountain with checkpoints along the way. Atleast it's a palace and not a proper castle, so it's not really that fortified.
Unless someone could, I don't know, give everyone a ride inside a necklace, and drop them in the backside, so they can just climb one of the windows since there are no walls. Someone that is not nearly incapable of stealth, that is.

With the current capacities, you can stockpile 6 armored knights, one dragon count as 2 knights, gwendoline and Agathe count as half a knight.

>One success.
White circles, unseen in the sky, the air filled with stench of human presence, and something else. A note of sulfur, same tones you smelt upon meeting the dark warriors, or, more recently, the dwarven king...
The castle is cramped. The most crowded area is the fifth and sixth floor, with impressive grouping in the south-east tower, a garrison in armor at the door, and another group in the kitchen. There are other presence, but sparser, walking all over the castle
The impressive collection of windows means every room is a potential entry point for you, with a simple glasswork spell.
Divination warned you the fight will be hard and intense. But you don't have to be frontal : after all, you have one main advantage - they don't know yet you're here.

Incompatible, the throne room is one of the room you've seen "crowded". Barging there will probably lead to some fightin, or negociatin', or seducin' depending on how you want to deal with that. Or a very very stupid on stealth roll will be needed.

>Ask Gwendolin for some insight, some face to watch out for, any enemies that are kill on sight.
This vital informations have, of course, been shared while preparing the assault.
" I'm pretty sure my... Eviction... was the doing of another noble family. Long story short, I suspect some other nobles to poison me and my parents in the annual noble gathering. This was my first steps in the public world, and was supposed to be my Debutante Ball. Many names and blurry face, first time meeting some historical nobles. My lineage is old, but we progressively loss fortune. One of my parent's main concern where to marry me off to some rich new blood to get enough for the manor's upkeep - other one being how to get enough money and revenue for the manor's upkeep if they failed to use me for that.
My brother died earlier this year in the endless wars our world is trapped into. Our family was alone, just a renowned old, dying name. A perfect target.
The poison was slow-acting, a disease creeping up and getting both my parents and myself bed-ridden. And our servants gradually stopped to come.
Luckily, I recovered a bit faster. Still weak, I was strong enough to fetch water for us and cook gruel. Still, my parents where going from bad to worse. One day, I saw men climbing the hill. Northerner, long blond and ginger braided hair, round shields, axes. I knew they were going for me. Wielding what little magic was coming back, I managed to sneak past by them when they where walking up. And then I walked. And I walked. And I walked. For around half week. However, I still don't know how I covered the distance to your hold... At one point, I really felt like crossing to the other way, walking toward the light in a big tunnel...

Time slows, and your mastery over glasswalk seems better. A quick scan confirms the room is, indeed, empty. You're feeling you can get out anywhere from the glass sheet making the window - a tingle at the extreme reach of your sense seems to indicate their could even be more. But more will have to wait. You try to replicate the stunt that almost cost your life in the hall of the mountain king - getting out at a different point, with a different momentum.

Several things to notice :
First, the place reeks of blood. Source seems to be the Altar, where a decaying corpse, maybe a couple days old if you had to guess, is layed.
Upon closer examination, the poor man slayed had his eyes and genitals ripped of. No clue what happened to the latter, but the former might be somewhere in the stack of eyeballs raised in a pyramid erected between the leg of the mutilated body.
There is more desecration : Nipple slashed, fingers partly cut. Your anatomical knowledge learns you that the subject was still alive when most of the exaction where inflicted, and he slowly and painfully died. The callous hands, and frame a bit shorter than your average human seems to indicate this forty-something man was the lowest of the hierarchy, working class.
In the altar, several symbols are displayed. A strange candelabra, with four crooked branches and 5 feet, is laying just in front of the eye pyramid, and an iconography is everywhere - on the altar, painted in blood on the window you glasswalked through, and painted in blood and salt on the wooden floor. The floor seal is dry since a long time, as the blueish hue indicate.
But it's not morbid curiosity that made you approach the altar - not only that, that is. Your treasure sense is tingling, and hidden behind the originally-white, blood stained, with the addition of metal lines - copper? - linen covering the altar, you find a chest, containing spoils of wars. Coins, precious stones. That goes to the necklace. A gang of knight sidestep to avoid the heavy intrusion to their already cramped vital space
"Well, Hector, looks like I have to get closer to you...
- Can I come too?
- No.
- Lucien, as respectfully as I can, if you don't get your elbow out of my nose, I'm kicking your arse once I can move my knees"

In the building, there are mainly the cultist you've drawn out, led by an head-shaven, scepter-wielding, darken eyed lady. The group in the kitchen and the sparse presence is mostly servants - most of which eyes have been gouged out, to feed the eyeball pyramid.

>Auto-Kill Sneak/trap DC 15 to bait; Crit to remain stealthy

The one with the scepter, and strange scarifications on the bald head is concerning. You're pretty sure she worship a combination of the dark gods of Wrath and Sloth - what does it mean? Planning a gruesome revenge, step by step, waiting for years, and enact maximum violence in a minimal time? Better use the surprise and remove that threat. You try to encapsulate the earth-shaking voice of earlier in a wind bubble, to send her away. And it works.
Stepping in the wrong room with 4 knights behind the door, blade ready, and yourself over, falling on her shiny rugged dome all claws out while several steel appendage penetrate her flesh, this is a threat fastly removed.
What to do with the corpse?
>Leave it there
>Hide it [where?]
>Stockpile it in the necklace
>>
Second vote :

No need to stick them back inside with a dead body of a chaos Worshipper.

However, whoever wants to stay out will have to take the armor off (which will stay in the necklace), as it's better to remain undetected for as long as we can, and when we're done stealthing, you can get your armor back, I'll buy the time if necessary."

not sure if relevant. i am not a big history buff so i dotn know how long it actually takes to throw themselves into gear again.

It's quite bothersome, yes. Just said it to see what QM would say, although I do expect some negative reply.

Either way, I would prefer to stuff them into the necklace, and if the corpse is too much of a bother, hide it somewhere else.
That said, you're the one getting good rolls, so maybe you can pull it off, armored stealth I mean.
>>
>>5487495
Lucien might be able to pull that off, if he masters space-time enough.

to be fair i am not sure how long that grace might last.

I am a follower of Tzeentch after all and luck is a fickle thing. i am gonna have to finish the Legion Champion and maybe another two or three units to get the full luck perk again.

and if the good luck continues i might not have to roll anything on saturday since my players will just crush all resistance without me landing a single hit.
>>
>>5487499
Oh yeah, there's also that.
Who wants to try?
>>
>>5487501
That's true.

I have no idea of what you're saying.

How long is that campaign going on for?

Also,
>>5487499
We can send our voice away with wind whisper, but can we use wind to block sounds instead?
>>
>>5487511
its been going on for about a year now. its set in my own campaign setting in a Mix of the Treasure Hunting of Egypt and the Wild West. And the players are looking for an ancient reanimated priest that wants to reanimate his entire ancient kingdom and make himself its godking. they are inside one of his outposts searching for information and steal anything they can get their hands on. so yeah if i use up all my luck here then there would be little chance for my monster to stop the players.
>>
>>5487511
>Use wind to block sounds
Yes, the "stealth" skill is made of three subskills :
>Rainblow flare, which is categorized as stealth due to history
>Scale refraction, to become invisible using optimal camo
>One with the wind, which consist in noise suppression using innate magic.

Good thing about stealth : it requires minimal amount of magic. Your stealth skill will only be disable if you suffer from both Breathless AND Manaless condition (or another condition i create on spot, like "touristic attraction or something in case of stealth crit fails)
>>
>>5487518
Nice nice, but just to be absolutely sure, can we also block the possible cling clang from the knights?
>>
>>5487523
Yes, but at an higher DC

Ok, I'll interpret the recent votes as

Time to pursue your trimming operation.
You craft your wind message, while trying to cover for the clinking noise.
>Crit fail
It results in you messing up, and an amplification of the metallic collision noise, propagated all around the castle, selling your position away.
"You can't hide. I'm coming for you"

>>
>>5487604
I mean I didn't wanted to hand out a convenient wild card (Joker is a french word for that; sorry for being unclear) and more like a little boon for the funny coincidence.
This can be time to discuss that :
Are you for or against player getting rewarded with "nice stuff" only due to rolling well? That takes away a bit of interactivity from the other for greater implication of the lucky ones, do you enjoy that tentative mechanic?
>>
>>5487608
>Joker
The Batman villain showed up in my mind before cards, so I was a little confused as well.

>Reward
I like it, will probably never get it myself, but anything that brings Sidri closer to his objectives, even if just slightly, direct or indirectly, is good in my book.
>>
>>5487608
i am okay with nice stuff. since it can hit anyone at any time.

when you said joker i was picturingin the wildcard that can do a lot of neat stuff.
>>
>>5487608
Ah, thanks for the clarification.

I can't say I feel anything either way for the mechanic. I suppose getting a nat 100 and doing something cool because of it is a good feeling, but at the same time having good/bad rolls take away from well-thought decisions can be pretty dumb (though I guess you could argue that its realistic).

mhmmm. Enough spare for them to consider "trying" to change down, but enough that they will eat floor. Kudos if we can make the floor change barely noticeable, or not noticeable at all. If they spend the second to hesitate then that gives us the chance to shoot them. If they try back pedaling, just use our crystal AoE breath attack to block off their exit, and bad breath them to death.
A slippery floor is nice and all, but it's not at all viable if the enemy choose not to walk down the hall if it looks obviously trapped....unless these guys are berserkers, then they'll probably change down the hall regardless.

Are any of the knights proficent with slings? I'd recommend using those until the enemies reach our position, at it only requires a single hand to wind up a swing, and another to load.

Damn. I wish we brought Tyler with us. I love gunbro and I didn't even make the guy. We should make him something cool, like put a scope on his light rifle.

A score of cultist rush toward you.
They know your overall position, but you had a bit of time to organize an ambush. Knights around the stair doors, position to maximize the high-ground advantage, Guillot using his sling, while you try to turn the stairs in a slippery slope
>Failure
... But only manage to turn it sparkly.
>Knights : 6 kills
Your armored squad, with both surprise and higher technique and armor, are no match for the cultists. But more and more are incoming... Looks like they understood your intentions quite soon. As you are on fourth floor, stuck between main and servant staircase, you will be assaulted in a pincer manoeuver.

Things become clear in your third sight for one instant, before getting shrouded again.
The demon inhabiting this castle is aligned to Wrath and Sloth. Its modus operandi : use cultists as pawn to get closer to invader, then possess them. Each cultist is a vessel, people usually freak out and launch everything on the demonized one, only for another to take its place as long as cultist are present.

Let's see... Not wanting to cheat or anything, but from her story and behavior, I have the feeling that her fear of the evil dragon (or rather its underlings) heavily outweighs her hatred, so to kind of symbolize that, the barrier spell >>5488657 said fits quite well, however, to also symbolize her resolve to keep on fighting, I'm thinking of a short range barrier around herself that when hit, causes damage and pushes the enemy away.

If her hatred was stronger, I would go with a piercing strike that, as the name suggests, pierces through shields and armors.

Something like this.
At first the barrier would only shield herself and *maybe* allies very close to her, but maybe as it gets stronger, she could summon the barrier around allies as well.
>>
Let's propel this forward until Anon of Doom chooses Renée's magic as his boon.

"Hector! let me assist!"
>Lucien : One success
Using the opportunity created by his former commander, Lucien channels his new-found magic to slow down the thing. The change is barely perceptible, but further reduces the threat caused by the body-hopping demon, hopefully giving an edge to Hector to keep controlling it.
Cultist are still swarming around, and if you can trust your ears, more of them are coming, finally covering the distance from their other location.
You estimate around half of the original number have been defeated, leaving ten or so assaillant. They are gathering on your side, but Knights have almost cleared the one coming on their side
