With the defeat of Majin Buu and the Remnants at the Battle of Namek, peace has come to the Seventh Universe. With no imminent battles to fight or wars to wage, the Saiyans have enjoyed their first long-term peace since their ancestors first landed on Planet Vegeta all those years ago. Yet this peacetime hasn't slowed the progress of the warrior race known as the Saiyans, whose power have continued to grow day after day. Foremost among this warrior race is the Fateless man known as the “Dragon of New Salda” and the first Super Saiyan to have appeared in a thousand years.

You the players play as this warrior named Karn, a man who has grown from a brawler with a powerlevel less than three thousand to now being the strongest of his kind, wielding the ancient emerald power of the Berserker and father of nearly a dozen children with his wife Meloka. After mastering the Yardratian ability known as Spirit Control, your power has grown beyond all previous limits.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

Karn had been accepted to train under the Yardratian Elder Pybara, bringing his family along to the planet as well. Minus his first born son Chilli who remained with his wife and her family on their homeworld, and Chaya who had returned to Dreadzone with Soba the former-Undefeated as her second. Almost two full years passed while Karn and his family trained in the Yardratian way of Spirit Control, their power and control increasing dramatically over that timespan. But as we rejoin Karn, it is now time to return home.

“Thank you, Elder Pybara. For everything.” you tell him, the elder nodding and offering his hand to you once more. Which you take, Pybara grinning as you do.
“You have grown strong, Karn. Use this strength to protect what's yours.” he tells you seriously, before Meloka and the kids teleport in. Broly, Tatsu and Tomi, and even Caulifla teleport themselves in, while Meloka brings in the younger four of Maz, Kayle, Okira, and Karn Jr. As they appear, you back away, the four younger kids all flying towards the Yardratian elder for hugs. He chuckles as he uses his Gigantification to make himself large enough to hold the four of them in his arms, your kids all laughing in his grip. “It has been fun. I shall miss having you all around.”

“Awww, you sure you can't come with us?” Okira asks him one last time. “Please?”
“I'm sorry little one, but this is my home.” Elder Pybara tells her. “My place is here, with my people.”
“Okaaaaay.” she says, unable to contain her disappointment.
“But don't worry. You can come back to visit anytime.”
“OKAY!” she replies, her excitement and smile immediately back. He then sets the younger ones down, turning to Broly.
“Your improvement is the most remarkable of everyone's.” the elder says to your son, laying a hand on his shoulder. “You have done well mastering yourself, young Broly.”
“Thank you.” your son says, still wearing his Yardratian garb and giving the elder a bow. The elder returns the gesture, surprising the other Yardratians by matching his deep bow. Then, once he rises, the man turns to you.

“You and your family are something special, Karn.” he tells you, offering his hand to you. “I have taught you everything I know. Use what I have taught you to preserve this peace your people have won.”
“I will.” you say, clasping his forearm. He grabs yours as well, the two of you sharing a nod of mutual understanding before releasing each other. “If you or your people need anything, just let me know and I'll be back as soon as I can.”

“Farewell, Karn.” he says, then turns to your wife. “Meloka.”
“Pybara.” she replies, tone matching his neutrality. Then, to your surprise she bows just as deeply as Broly had. “Thank you for everything.”
“It was my pleasure.” he replies, again matching her bow. Then, once they've both risen continues. “You have a wonderful family. Keep them all safe.”
“I will.” your wife replies.

“Now, all of you. Remember your lessons, and keep striving for greater heights.” Elder Pybara says, waving to you all as most of you raise your right hands to your foreheads. The younger twins, Okira, and Karn Jr all hold onto Meloka, everyone else focusing their ki back towards home. It is still surprising that, now that you've gone through the training, you can even sense those on New Salda from here. It's around six months of straight travel via attack pod after all. This level of awareness is astonishing, you can sense so many other beings than you would have before. Not only in the direction of New Salda, but you can sense other beings you recognize farther out from your home world. You can sense Chilli just on the edge of your perception, Freeza as well in a different direction.

Instead of going back home immediately, you decide to surprise your eldest son with a visit. So you focus, zeroing on his ki, then just a moment after your family vanishes you teleport to your son's side. One moment you're in Elder Pybara's place, and the next find yourself standing beside your son. He's embracing his wife Megimin in their crystal home, neither of them noticing your arrival immediately. So you stand there quietly, not making a sound as the two hold each other.

“Headed over to Chilli's for a minute, I'll be back shortly.” you think to Meloka, letting her know where you went and why you didn't reappear with her and the kids back home.
“Okay, but don't take too long. King Vegeta did want to talk to you sometime today.” she replies, ending the mental link. As she does the young couple pull back a bit, Megumin noticing you out of the corner of her eye. And lets out a squeak, flinching back from you. Chilli immediately puts her behind him as he puts himself squarely between you and her, before recognizing you.
“Dad? What are-How long have you been standing there?” he asks, visibly relaxing after recognizing you.
“Just now, swinging by to check up on you before heading back home.” you tell him. “With the Spirit Control training, I was able to sense you all the way here from Planet Yardrat without the telepathic link first, so figured I'd ask if you wanted to head over as well.”

“Maybe another time.” he replies, reaching back as Megumin steps forward and wraps an arm around her back. “After all, I'm not gonna be able to leave for any extended trips like that one will be for the foreseeable future, now.”
“Oh, is something wrong?” you ask, looking back and forth between the two of them. “Is everything okay?”
“Better than okay.” Megumin says, a big, goofy grin on her face. “I'm pregnant.”

Megumin's pregnant? Your son's going to be a father? The sudden news shocks you, catching you completely by surprise. You knew this day would probably come, eventually, but you certainly weren't prepared to hear it now. However, after the moment of shock wears off, you feel a surge of joy rising up from deep in your heart.

“Thi-Wow. Wasn't expecting to hear this. What a pleasant surprise.” you say, reaching out and putting a hand on each of their shoulders. “If you all need anything, don't hesitate to reach out. Your mother and I, Chilli, will be more than glad to help the two of you with anything.”

“Thank you.” Megumin says, still smiling warmly.
“Thanks Dad.” Chilli answers, you reaching down and grabbing them both in your arms, lifting them both off the ground in a bear hug.
“I'm glad for you both.” you say, holding them tight for a few more seconds before putting them back down and letting go. “What great news. Are you planning to have the kid here, or back on New Salda with one of the pods so you don't have to hold the child until term?”
“Not sure.” Chilli replies, turning to Megumin. “What do you think?”

“Ummm, I don't know.” she replies, clearly uncertain. “We'll have to look at them sometime.”
“I'd recommend talking to Dr. White, he's been helping with your mother's pregnancies for years now.” you tell Chilli, who nods along. “Unless you both would perhaps rather have him and some of his tech sent here once you're further along? I'm sure I could convince him to spend some time here helping out.”
“Maybe. I dunno yet.” Megumin says, clearly getting a bit uncomfortable with the discussion. “It's still early.”

“Don't worry, you don't have to make any decisions any time soon.” you reassure her. “Just let us know if you two need anything. I'm sure your mother will be escatic to-”
“Actually, can you not say anything yet?” he asks you, tone suddenly serious. “We'll be heading that way after a bit, and would like to tell everyone ourselves.”
“Of course, I won't say anything.” you reassure him. “Your secret is safe with me.”
“Thanks Dad.” he replies, giving you a nod. “Appreciate it.”

“Anytime son. You two don't be strangers now.” you reply, bringing your hand back to your forehead. Again you focus your ki sense, stretching out your awareness over several star systems. You quickly find New Salda, preparing to teleport back home.

With a thought you focus on your king's energy, teleporting away from your son's world directly to your king's side. With a blink everything changes, turning from your son's home into the king's palace. Where you see King Vegata holding his year-old son, Prince Vegeta V. He sees you arrive instantly, raising a hand to his lips in a gesture of silence. You see that his son is asleep, not making a sound in his father's arms as he sits at his desk, unable to work. You lower your hand from your forehead while reaching out to him telepathically.

“You needed to see me?” you ask him with a thought. The young king nods, pointing over to his tablet. Which you pick up, and on the screen see a planet you're completely unfamiliar with. It appears yellowish on the scans with a ring of space rocks around it, floating in a circle further around the planet than its moon while the surface is seemingly pockmarked with massive craters. “What is this?”
“Lord Freeza came through for us. THIS will be the training world your father proposed those years ago.” King Vegeta thinks to you, your eyes widening in surprise. “Keep looking.”

You turn your attention back to the display, swiping through the images. You see several orbital shots, then the images begin to change. The scouting craft lands on the planet, revealing that this inhospitable-seeming world actually supports life. Bug-like creatures all gather on the edges of the craters, thrusting their needle-like mouths into the green in the craters' bottoms and drinking something out of it. Only for giant, green worm-like furry creatures to rise out of the craters, devouring the bugs that feast upon their fluids. You keep swiping through the images taken, watching along as some of the scientists release one of those Project: Scyther prototypes similar to the one you'd fought before. It flies out of the containment field as soon as it goes down, darting back and forth as it looks at its surroundings. It spots one of the larger beetles immediately, just as the bug spots it as well. The giant orange and black crawler fires out its blue needle tongue-thing at the mutant creature, the flying bug dodging the attack and cutting the appendage off with a single swipe. It screams out in pain as it is maimed, the Scyther beast flying down and cutting through its face apart with its blades before feasting on its insides.

But, moments later another of the giant green beasts rises up and out of a nearby crater, the Scyther turning towards the massive creature. It roars as it kills one of the bugs feasting on its fluids, the Scyther creature immediately flying directly towards it. No doubt to attack it as well. However, the lab-made creature doesn't stand a chance, the massive worm-like beast lunging and snapping the cutting bug in half with a single bite.

“This seems to be a rather dangerous world.” you tell him with a thought, setting the screen down once the images begin to repeat. “Are their strengths measured?”
“The bug-like creatures seemingly average around 7-8 thousand each, while the massive beasts are easily five to ten times that.” King Vegeta thinks back to you. “With natural wildlife that powerful, it will be an excellent place to send the younger generations to train and survive. However, with the only source of water being the green beasts, survival will be a bit more difficult than on other planets. What do you think?”

“This looks like a great planet to toughen them up on.” you reply with a thought, glancing back over to the tablet where the words “Planet Vampa” are visible. “Vampa, huh?”
“That's something else I wanted to address with you.” he continues. “I was considering changing the name of this planet. And in honor of your old man who came up with this idea, was considering calling it Tatsu.”

Planet Tatsu? Well, what do you think of that?
>That's an excellent idea, you're sure he'd appreciate the gesture. Even in death his name will be synonymous with raising the next generation
>Planet Vampa is fine as it is, no need to change it. He wouldn't want a planet named after him anyways

Your first thought that the name Planet Vampa is fine as it, and there's no need to change anything. After all, your old man would have complained if he knew a planet was named after him. But after considering it further, you think it would be an excellent idea. He'd appreciate the gesture that, even after his death his name would be synonymous with raising the next generation amid conflict and dangerous circumstances, as he'd lived most of his life and had raised you up to adulthood in as well. So you decide to agree to it, turning your focus back to the king. Whose face has turned away from yours, looking back down at his sleeping one year old son.

You remember looking at Chaya the same way, holding your firstborn daughter in your arms just as he is now. So you walk up, carefully making as little noise as possible then laying your hand on his shoulder.

“He's so small.” King Vegeta IV thinks back to you, his focus on his son.
“Protect your boy, Vegeta.” you tell him telepathically, the king looking back up to you. The doubt and worry in his expression reminding you of how he looked way back when his father had first appointed you his teacher. Worried and unsure, scared of what's to come. “As long as you put his well-being and freedom both first, you won't go too wrong.”
“....Thank you.” he mutters after several seconds, eyes transfixed still on his son's sleeping form.
“If you need anything let me know.” you tell him, once more telepathically as you raise your right hand back to your forehead. “And I think my old man'd appreciate the gesture.”

Then focusing back on your wife's ki teleport away, returning back to her side. Life quickly returns back to the 'normal' pattern it had had before you'd started training on Planet Yardrat, the days turning to weeks with nothing out of the ordinary happening. Once more you all travel back to Towa's realm one month after the previous visit, spending plenty of quality time with that other half of your family not allowed in this timeline. Thanks to the Supreme Kai of Time and her Time Patrol goons. Then after another week with them you all return to your own timeline, Chilli bringing his wife along to make their announcement late one evening as you are all gathered around the table in your mess hall, Silver's assistants making a quality feast.

“So, you said you have news for us?” Meloka asks your eldest son's wife, who was eating with far more ferocity than normal for her. Normally she'd be far more reserved while eating, not consuming nearly what the rest of you had. But today she eats like a proper Saiyan, devouring nearly as much as her husband. Which catches your wife's eye, looking expectantly to her son and hiss wife expectantly. “Well, what's the occasion? What news is so important that you had to travel all the way out here to tell us in person?”

“Umm, well....” your son says, unsure how to say it. But Megumin takes charge, smiling again as her cheeks slightly blush.
“I'm pregnant.” she says, everyone in the entire mess hall going completely quiet. Even the kitchen staff don't say a word, everyone freezing at the news. But then the room explodes into cheers, several of your crew coming up and congratulating the couple along with Silver's staff and Chilli's siblings. Your wife seems to simply glow at the news, looking over at you with a grin. But then her expression changes as she sees yours, reaching out telepathically as the happy couple are swamped.

“You knew already.” she says, you sensing something from her but aren't quite sure what. “How long did you know?”
“Remember when we left Yardrat?” you ask, understanding washing over her face as her eyes widen and mouth forms an 'O'.
“That long? You knew for over a month and didn't say anything?” she asks, you nodding.
“They asked me not to tell, as I wasn't supposed to know but overheard them when I showed up.” you tell your wife, seeing Broly congratulating them both with a hand on his brother and sister in law's opposite shoulders. “So I didn't say a thing.”

At this your wife stands up to walk around the table and congratulate them herself, kissing you as she walks past. You enjoy this peaceful time with your family and crew all celebrating your son's news. The next few minutes are all everyone crowding around them, asking questions. But after some time the crowd dies down, your son and his wife heading over to see Dr. White and have him give her and their baby a checkup.

But what do you do?

While everyone's settling down, you decide to go outside alone and take a few moments to think everything over all by yourself. You walk out alone, no one seemingly noticing your departure as you do. Stepping out into the waning light, you walk over to the edge of the beach and look out towards the setting sun. You sit down, resting back on your hands as you watch the sun descend towards the horizon and look back. You think back over how far you've come, the trials you've overcome and all you've been through, when suddenly the specter of the ancient Sith Lord, Bane appears standing beside you.

“Time stops for no man, no matter how great.” the phantom says, you glancing over and see him looking out over the sea as well. Perhaps lost in his own thoughts. “Those we raise grow and mature, taking on responsibilities and families of their own, and one day finally surpass us and take our place.”
“Indeed.” you reply, returning your gaze out over the sea. Silence hangs between the two of your for a few moments, then you feel the ancient Sith's attention turn fully to you.
“Yet despite this, you aren't afraid of death.” the ancient Lord continues as you turn to look towards him. “You aren't afraid of your children taking your place. In fact, I feel that you're WANTING it to happen?”

“I'm not going to be around forever.” you tell the specter, returning your gaze out towards the sea as the sky turns darker. “One day I won't be around anymore. Either killed by one of my enemies, or if nothing else taken down by time itself. The kids need to be able to look after themselves and our people, to keep our people safe from whatever the universe has to throw their way.”
“You don't have to perish, you know.” the Sith Lord says, waving his hand and creating an image of the massive Namekian dragon you'd seen before. “Immortality is within your grasp, yet you have made no moves to claim it. Think about it. You could be around forever, always present to look after and protect your family against any and all threats the universe has to throw your way.”

“No thanks.” you reply, sensing his confusion at your immediate dismissal. “We aren't built to live forever; our bodies start giving out once we reach our limits.”

You remember watching your old man getting slower and weaker as he aged, living longer than ANY Saiyan warrior in the records. And how despite his body slowly giving out, he continued teaching the next generations and passing his knowledge along until his final battle with you.

“Living forever in a body that's slowly falling apart, eventually being trapped in a body that can't even move one day sounds like a horrific life.” you continue. “Besides, I've seen the other side. And my old man looked pretty happy, all things considered. So I'm not afraid of eventually dying, if I can continue protecting my family from threats from the other side.”
“Hmph. You're an unusual man, Karn.” Bane says, his image slowly fading away. Yet you hear what sounds like a begrudging tone of respect from him before he vanishes. Once he's gone, you decide to reach out and let the others know of your son's news. First you reach out to Freeza, telepathically telling your emperor.

“Oh? Well, I suppose I should give the boy my congratulations.” he tells you. Then you can sense his mood shift slightly, bringing up another question. “So, I take it you're back home from Planet Yardrat now?”
“I am.” you reply to him. “It was some intense training, but well worth it.”
“I see. Well, now that Father has released me, perhaps I should partake in this particular training myself. I cannot let you surpass me so easily.”
“It won't make you stronger. But it will certainly make you far greater than you are now.” you tell him. “Once you're there and through his training let me know, and we can perhaps have a rematch on Raxus Prime.”

“That does sound good to me. Very well, I'll be heading out now.” he replies, ending the link. You then spread the news to several others, telling Raven who already was aware, Nappa, the twins Leyas and Sarada, and Turles. Once you've told everyone you go back inside, heading to the showers then bed.

Time passes, days into weeks, weeks into months. Chilli and Megumin visit regularly, you having your crew shift the internal gravity of the ship lower for your son's wife's comfort as they travel back and forth from your world to their own. Months pass, the young Crimson Demon woman slowly growing as her pregnancy advances. Within the first month after their reveal to the family, you all are able to sense the young baby within her. But one day Chilli comes to you alone while his wife is with Dr. White, expression thoughtful.

“Hey Chilli, what's up?” you ask him as you do your early morning workout, their planet and your own having a few hours difference between their day and night cycles. “Everything okay?”
“Yeah, it's all good. We found out that it's going to be a girl.” he says, yet his tone isn't overly happy. Instead he sounds a bit annoyed, you stopping mid-workout and dropping down from the bar. Landing on your feet you walk over to him, laying a hand on his shoulder. “But we can't agree on a name.”

“A name?” you ask him, raising a brow. “Is that what's bothering you?”
“Yeah. We can't agree.” he replies. “I was hoping she would carry on mom's name, but Megumin wants to name her Wolbach.”
“Wolbach?” you ask, the name completely unfamiliar to you. “Does she have a reason for the name?”
“She says that Wolbach is the one who taught her Explosion, sending her on the path that eventually led to us being together.” Chilli explains. “But that name belongs to an evil god, one who she defeated with her Explosion magic a few years ago. I just dunno about naming our kid after an evil deity.”

Well? How do you handle this?

“If neither of you can decide on a single name, then why not go with BOTH names?” you ask, clearly catching your son off guard as his jaw drops. “Your daughter wouldn't be the first being I've met out there with more than one name.”
“You...I can't believe that I didn't think of that myself.” he says, shaking his head. “It's so simple, why couldn't I see it myself?”
“Hard to see other solutions when you're in the trenches.” you tell him, patting him on the shoulder before going back to the bar. You leap up, flipping upside down and catching it with your knees and returning to your workout. “But whenever I'm stuck thinking something over, channeling those emotions into physical activity helps me think more clearly. Want to join me?”

“Maybe next time. Right now, I gotta tell Megu this. I'm sure she'll go for it!” he replies, crystals growing up his body. Then once fully encased the crystals shatters, revealing that your son has gone. With a quick look via ki sense you can tell he's back to his wife's side, the two of them are with Dr. White in the medical bay. With a small smile you continue your morning exercise, continuing to tone your own body for the battles you know will someday come. More time passes, you returning to your previous daily schedule as the months roll on. Then one day, perhaps a month before your granddaughter's birth just after training your students with Meloka, Chaya reaches out to you all telepathically.

“Today's the day! I got an opponent strong enough to show off the fruits of my training.” she thinks to you all. “The fight starts in an hour, hope you all can make it!”

She then ends the link, leaving you all still mentally connected.

“I'll be going.” Maz says, Kayle immediately agreeing as well. Broly decides to go too, Caulifla declining as she's about to get sent to another timeline on her Darkmoon duties, Chilli staying back home with his now-very pregnant wife as well.
“I wanna go.” Okira tells you all telepathically. “I wanna watch big sis.”
“Me too, me too!” Karn Jr adds in.

Well? What will you do?

You decide after a few moments thought that you'll be going to support her, letting everyone know telepathically. At hearing this your wife agrees to go as well, everyone departing the training grounds to get the day's training washed off of you all. After washing yourselves and the younger kids, everyone who is going is now gathered and ready. You reach back out to Chaya, who tells you to reach out to Chilli's ki, where he has the PTO seats held down for everyone who'll be in attendance. Focusing on the young man's energy you teleport everyone, except for Broly who went himself under the guise of needing more practice with teleportation.

Regardless, you all arrive minutes before the battle's start, but you realize quickly that this isn't on the Dreadzone station proper. In fact you seem to be out in an asteroid belt, which somehow not only has gravity where you are but also an atmosphere. And what looks to be some sort of massive ship flying around overhead. It has what appear to be sails, an antique method of travel using the wind of terrestrial planets to move. As you all sit down, waiting to watch the action unfold, you see the screen over the stands switch from a Dreadzone logo to the faces of the announcers, Dallas and Juanita.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hqtCQZ2YR0

“Gooooooood evening ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to another exciting installment of Dreadzone!” Dallas opens, the crowd going wild around you all. He doesn't stop for their cheers, however, continuing his introduction of events. You lose what he's saying for a few seconds, when you can finally hear through the speakers again it is the female-looking robot Juanita who's speaking.
“That's right Dallas, tonight the former champion Chaya will be up against the Captain of the Darkwater pirates! Put your hands together for the one, the only, Captain Romulus Slag!!”

Again the cheering of the crowd drown out more of what they're saying. But you can clearly see the ship carrying your daughter flying in, no doubt to where she will be starting the gauntlet leading up to the fight. However, the ship never reaches its destination, as the pirate's vessel fires upon the ship your daughter is in! You watch as the pirates shoot her down, much to the crowd's delight. After a few moments your daughter's golden form explodes out from the wreckage, gathering her energy and firing a Final Flash at the pirate ship. However, her blast is stopped short by some sort of barrier protecting it. Looks like this fight won't be so easy.

“Uh oh! Looks like this mission won't be quite so easy for the former champ!” Dallas shouts out. “The Blackstar is protected by three separate energy shields, two of which are located within the Valix Lighthouse Network.”
“That's right Dallas. Without disabling the energy shield generators all protecting the Blackstar, Chaya's strongest attacks won't even be able to scratch the ship. She will have to traverse the treacherous terrain and deadly pirate traps to find the three separate energy generators, shut them all down, then make her way onto the ship to face Captain Slag in a battle to the death!”

The crowd cheers again, drowning out the rest of what the announcers say.

You watch as Chaya sighs out, turning her focus on the clear path laid out for her. You watch her take off at a jog, trotting along the path towards the nearest building when the ship fires its broadside cannons, launching dozens of drop boxes towards her. They crash to the ground and explode, revealing more than two dozen mechanical pirates who all leap out towards her with blades and pistols drawn. Well then, let's see your daughter's improvement.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQpg14K5Leo

“Go big sis!” Okira calls down to her older sister. “You can do it!”
“Goooo!” Karn Jr calls after her, your eldest daughter clenching her fists. Then as a trio of the machines raise their weapons towards her, she acts. Without hesitation she surges forward, blurring straight into the center of the crowd. Before they can process what's happened, much less react, your daughter comes to a stop between them, throwing her arms out to both sides.

She uses just a whisper of ki, releasing an Explosive Wave that incinerates the nearest dozen instantly. The ones not blasted to particles are shredded, their parts launched back and away from her over the sides of the asteroid she's on before casually continuing her jog along the path.

“And just like that, Chaya's cleared out the first wave in a single attack!” Dallas shouts over the crowd's cheers. You try and tune all the noise out, following your daughter's progress on the cameras into the first building. Where she does find what looks to be a generator, immediately firing an explosive punch projectile at it. The generator, however, also seems to be shielded by something.
“Looks like our brawler has encountered an unexpected problem.” Juanita says, your daughter walking towards the machine instead of firing another ineffective blast at it. She studies the energy it is projecting through the open wall towards the ship, but is interrupted as more mechanical warriors stream in through the opposite doorways, trapping her. But Chaya is ready.

“Hellflower!” your daughter roars as she copies her mother's technique, firing the Ki Needle-filled orb towards the group coming through the door she'd entered in before turning and doing the same to the other group. Except her second shot is slightly faster, both orbs striking simultaneously and exploding in a spray of Ki Needles. The dozen or so machines streaming through each doorway are all impaled by several needles, then as one the needles all detonate, reducing the machines to piles of scrap.
“Atta girl.” Meloka mutters under her breath, you barely hearing her. Or perhaps you didn't, and only imagined it?

Your daughter, ignoring the obvious path to shut down the shield generator's shield generator, instead uses your Energy Body technique to shield herself then starts shoving her hands through the shielding energy! It takes her several moments to brute force her way through, gritting her teeth as she strains. The ground cracks and buckles beneath her feet as she powers through it, then finally her hands break through. Without hesitation she charges through, stepping fully into the energy shield. Without hesitation she turns to the machine, shoving both fists into it and physically tears the shield generator in half. It exploding with a fiery blast.

“In an unconventional twist, Chaya has brute forced the first generator!” Dallas calls out to the crowd's cheering and adulation. After a few moments the cylindrical floor-to-ceiling energy shield around her powers down, no doubt deactivated as she destroyed the generator it was supposed to guard. “She's only got two more to go!”
“The first one was the easiest, we'll see how she handles the second one.” Juanita says, a note of disdain in her voice as your daughter keeps moving. She runs up to the door that had shut once the generator was destroyed, slamming her fingers into the space between them. Then with brute force tears the sliding blast doors open, sparks flying from the mechanics at the four corners.

But as she emerges, the camera floating behind her, you and the audience are surprised to see a trio of wheeled tanks, each one firing a massive shell at your daughter. You watch as Chaya narrowly dodges each of them, leaning her head aside to dodge the first, twisting her upper body counterclockwise to dodge the second, then ducking forward under the third. You're sure the audience didn't catch her movements, hell if you weren't transformed you doubt that you'd have caught her movements in her transformed state before the shells all strike the ground behind her and explode. Your daughter is seemingly consumed in the blast along with the camera, until the perspective shifts to a camera over the tanks. Where you see that your daughter had launched herself forward as the shells detonated, dashing up to and stopping behind the furthest back tank.

She then turns around at high speed, firing off a turning right kick and launching the last tank straight forward into the one to her left. The two machines slam into each other, detonating in another fiery blast much larger than the ones made by the shells. The last remaining tank's barrel turns towards the explosion, but it's far too slow to hit your daughter. Who rushes up, grabbing it by the barrel and tearing the turret straight off. She then casually kicks the machine off the side of the asteroid, resting the improvised weapon on her shoulder.

“Big sis is doin' great!” Okira says, turning to you with her eyes sparkling. “Chaya's so cool!”
“She's certainly something.” you reply, patting her on the head gently. But your youngest isn't done yet.
“I wanna be like big sis Chaya when I get older!” she shouts excitedly, surging up to her feet and cheering loudly. “GO Chaya! GOOO!!”

You watch your daughter continue powering through the gauntlet before her, destroying the next generator with just as much ease, you can't help but wonder just what sort of influence she's having on her siblings?

As you ponder what sorts of effects your eldest daughter's career choice has on her siblings, you watch Chaya continue to power through the challenge before her. She makes her way easily to the second generator, dispatching it with the same ease as she had the first. But that's when the gauntlet changes.

“With the second generator down, all that remains is the third and final shield generator!” Dallas calls as the second one is destroyed over the cheering of the audience around you all. “However, the third and final shield generator is in fact located on the Blackstar itself!”
“What?!” you can see your daughter shout, clearly annoyed with this development.
“Indeed Dallas. With the two overshields taken down, our competitor must now engage the ship directly.” Juanita says smugly, your daughter glancing towards the floating announcer platform darkly for a moment. “She will have to find a weapon somewhere within the lighthouse itself that can penetrate the weakened shield, and bring the infamous Blackstar down!”
“But can she do it? Or will the cunning corsair spell the end for this challenger's runback? Fight out right after these messages!”

You watch your daughter pacing within the second generator's shield, clearly annoyed while it still hasn't powered down to let her out. Yet your daughter doesn't seem to be in any hurry to escape on her own, else she'd power her Energy Body back up and force her way through. Perhaps it uses more power to do so than simply waiting around in her Ascended form? After all, she's now spent years mastering her use of the power beyond a Super Saiyan.

“Why isn't sis getting out? Is she trapped?” Okira asks, turning around towards you. “Should we get her out?”
“There's no need kiddo, she's just waiting.” you tell her. “They're giving her a moment to rest before the next part of the fight starts.”
“Oh, okay.” she replies, turning back and watching, waiting for her sister to start back up. “I wanna be just like big sis when I grow up.”

“What do you mean by that kiddo?” you ask her, Okira turning back to you as the crowd chatters among themselves. “Do you want to fight here in Dreadzone too like Chaya? Or do you want to grow up and be a strong, tough fighter like her?
“I wanna be a fighter too!” she exclaims. “Bein' so strong an' fightin' through monsters looks like fun!”
“It can be fun.” Broly says, your youngest daughter turning towards him. “But I don't enjoy fighting in these arenas.”
“Really?” she asks him, confused as the announcers start bringing the action back. “Why?”
“Because they aren't real challenges, at least to me.” he replies, turning from his youngest sister and looking back to the arena. “But we'll see how your sister handles it.”

“Aaaaaaaand we're back!” Dallas calls out, the shield around Chaya remaining as he tells how there is a weapon that can supposedly penetrate the shield around Captain Slag's ship somewhere within the lighthouse. But as the shield around your daughter dissipates, she launches herself out towards it. But as she does, the pirate captain's ship opens fire on her. It unleashes hundreds of energy shots simultaneously in a full broadside, all firing towards her and the asteroid she launched herself off of.
“Go big sis, GOOO!” Okira cheers at the top of her lungs.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMOm27Cz5TA

You watch your daughter fly and weave through a considerable broadside volley of fire, narrowly avoiding everything as the asteroid behind her is vaporized by the ship's firepower. The crowd roars and cheers in approval at the destruction, Chaya flying under the ship and dashing directly into the lighthouse where you presume the weapon is being stored. But as she does, your daughter gathers her ki into her foot, spinning and firing off her Ultra Crescent Dance. You watch as her foot-fired blade cuts through the building's supports, slashing through the metal and causing the entire lighthouse to start trembling. Once her attack's done she dashes out clear through the other side, then turning and grabbing onto the metal siding.

“What's this? What could the former champion be planning?” Dallas asks, but you've already realized. And can't help but smirk. The crowd will certainly enjoy this one.

“HRRRAAAA!!” Chaya roars, exploding up into her Ascended form in a burst of sparks around her as her aura doubles. Her grip crushes part of the building, bending the metal in on itself as she gets her grip.
“What's big sis doing?” Okira asks you without turning around, watching as Chaya starts lifting the ENTIRE lighthouse. “Woah!!”
“Is she-? She can't do that!” Dallas shouts, clearly shocked as he turns to his cohost. “Can she?”
“FIIIIRE!!” you hear the captain shouting over the crowd's roars, the ship now firing the opposite side's broadside at your daughter. But she kicks off the asteroid, sending it plummeting down through space as she launches herself into the air over the ship's full broadside, lighthouse held overhead.

“TAKE THIS!” Chaya bellows, throwing her entire weight into the lighthouse and swinging it down. The massive structure swings through the air, smashing down onto the ship's center before it can move. Like a giant fly swatter Chaya smashes the ship with her tower, sending it crashing down to another asteroid where it explodes in a fiery blast. The crowd goes wild, shouting and cheering at a fever pitch as Chaya destroys the ship despite its shield.
“Umm, well.... It looks like Chaya has downed the Blackstar in a colossal display of dominance!” Dallas calls, the crowd continuing to cheer. “All that's left is for Chaya to head down, and confront the Dread Pirate Captain Slag himself!”

“This is over.” Broly says, sitting back and crossing his arms. Okira looks over to him, then back at you with a face full of confusion.
“Is it over?” she asks you, brows furrowed. “Did big sis win?”

“Not yet, let's keep watching and see what this Captain Slag can do one-on-one.” you tell her, your daughter turning back as her sister flies down cautiously towards the shipwreck. “He wouldn't have been made an Exterminator on only his ship's prowess.”
“Oooh okay.” she says, watching Chaya fly over and grab one of the masts, pulling the wreckage apart searching for the captain. But as she does, suddenly a swarm of spinning crescents of energy spiral up out of the wreckage towards Chaya. Who sees them coming, releasing the mast and channeling her ki into both fists while flying backwards cautiously, taking stock of the attack and their pattern of approach.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMOm27Cz5TA

“Never underestimate an opponent, kiddo.” you say as Chaya unleashes a barrage of rapid fist-sized blasts, each one flying straight and detonating one of the crescent attacks on contact. “Even if it looks like they're done for, you keep going until they've stopped for good or given up, never quit until you're sure you've won.

Then as Chaya erases the final one, a stream of fire comes out towards her from within the wreckage. Your eldest drops to the ground, landing as a few sheets of metal are kicked out towards her. Chaya braces herself, the sheets slamming into her and deforming a bit in her likeness before bouncing off, falling to the ground between her and her foe. Who is a rather large robot, probably of a height with you judging from the height difference between it and Chaya. The machine is also built like a barrel, its rotund body at odds with its stubby legs yet it somehow still cuts an imposing figure. Captain Slag's right arm has an integrated glowing hammer, reminding you of your gravity hammer back home.

“Ye wrecked me pride an' joy, fer that yer gonna pay!” Slag calls, sparks dancing out from the hammer and traveling all around his metal body, making him glow slightly. “Gonna send yer down to Davy Jones' locker fer that one!”
“You can't beat me.” your daughter replies, taking her fighting stance as the pirate belches flames towards her. But Chaya's not there, having already left an afterimage behind before leaping straight up into the sky. The pirate's fires consume her image, Okira shouting out in worry. But then she sees her sister flying above the flames, calling her name in excitement. Chaya throws both arms wide, gathering her energy into a Final Flash and firing it straight down with a call.

“FINAL FLASH!”

“Wait wha-?!” Captain Slag shouts, ending the flames and looking up just in time to take the devastating golden beam square to the chest. It's lightning barrier is ripped to shreds, her beam consuming his rotund body. The crowd roars and cheers as her beam obliterates him, then as her beam ends and the light fades, you see that she hasn't finished off her opponent. Not entirely. She flies down, landing beside the hole in the asteroid and lifting the pirate's head up above her own. “Hey! Put me down, wench!”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSVD_nhDMfI

“And the winner is Chaya!!” Dallas declares to the crowd's roaring approval, cheering the loudest they have yet. Your youngest daughter cheers along with them, Chaya turning towards where she can no doubt sense you all from. Almost as if asking you 'how was that?' “With a showing colossal might and absolute dominance, Chaya has defeated the first of our four Exterminators on her rise back to her coveted title of champion!”
“Now for a few words with our winner.” Juanita says, you sensing a note of distaste in her tone as the announcers platform descends down by her, Dallas holding out his mic for Chaya. “With your first major win back after your humiliating defeat at the hands of our now-champion Tanya, what do you have to say?”

“Prepare yourself Tanya. Because I'm coming for you.” she says, the crowd's cheers getting even louder. “You can run as far as you can, hide behind whatever and whoever you want, but nothing you've got will save you from me. Tanya Degurechaff, I've come for you!”
“There you have it folks!” Dallas calls out, everyone cheering your daughter's words.
“CHA-YA! CHA-YA! CHA-YA!” they chant, cheering out your daughter's name. As they do, for just a moment you see her partially-divine aura flare up from within her own. But she suppresses it back down after a second or two, pitching the head underhanded into the announcer's platform before raising her right hand to her forehead. Then, to the cheers of her fans she waves with her left, then vanishes.

“Sis was so cool!” Okira says, turning to you with a huge smile on her face. “I wanna be all big an' strong like her!”
“If you want to, then you need to get back to training.” you tell her seriously. “It took her years to reach this level of physical ability.”
“Then let's go!” she says, grabbing your right hand and putting it to your forehead as you chuckle. “C'mon, c'mon! I wanna go get stronger!”
“Alright, let's go.” you tell her, placing your fingertips on your forehead. “Everyone ready?”

Your kids all give their agreements, the younger ones all holding on to you or Meloka as you focus, teleporting back to New Salda after a few moments. With Chaya's battle done, your life returns back to its normal schedule. Nothing else happens out of the ordinary for several weeks, then one day you get the call from your eldest son.

“Dad, it's happening. It's time.” Chilli thinks to you, his panic clearly coming through the mental link. “Megumin's water broke, it...It's really happening! I'm gonna be a dad!”

And that's it for this weekend, everyone enjoy the run so far? Ready to be a grandfather, welcoming new life to the family with the new year? Enjoy Chaya's battle with Captain Slag and her show of dominance over Vox's machinations? Ready for more children to grow up and into their own? All this and more when Saiyan Conqueror Quest continues this coming weekend!

I like that Chaya's not fucking around any more; first sight of her opponent and she drops a final flash on his arse. Brilliant.

One last intermission left for the year that'll drop this Thursday; hope you all are ready for next year when this arc really kicks off. But in the meantime, how has this year of SCQ been for you? What have been your favorite moments, best character interactions, or most enjoyable fights? Which character has endeared themself to you the most this past year? Who is your favorite antagonist you've fought in these last twelve months? Which of the kid's continued growth are you most eager to witness? And are you ready to greet your granddaughter this Saturday?
>>
>>5509221
Great year, GD. I started reading the quest in 2020 during the coof and have really enjoyed it.

>Best interactions/fights
Karn sending Tatsu off warrior style was super cool and I may have shed a single samurai tear.

>Character endearment
Surprisingly, Frieza. Maybe a bit out of left field, but literally all he ever wanted was for his best bud to be able to match him. He would give up all he is to make it happen. Overzealousness on his part with Babidi, but I'm sure he's doing his best to fix things.

>Antagonist
I'd say LER or the wedding battle against the Time Patrol. Both were really engaging and enjoyable.

>Growth
I'm excited to see where Okira goes and how this particular decision might have affected her development.

All said, can't wait for next weekend!

Captcha: TBSDAD
The best dad. Damn.
>>
>>5509228
Glad you've stuck around and are with us for the long run.
I've enjoyed his character development from where he was in canon to how he's turned out so far. And we'll see just how far his development eventually goes.
They were both great, but not encounters in the past year. Though, to be fair the only major events were the Abyss fight, the Battle for Namek, and Chaya's defeat and development. But Battle of Gods is going to be a great arc. More than one battle between wielders of divine power is going to go down next year.
Okira's a unique case, as she has the potential to be the most overpowered being in Universe 7. If she masters her abilities with Imagine Dragon.
Next weekend's going to be a ride. And, small spoiler, but Chilli does NOT handle feeling useless and unable to help his wife well. Might have some deeper reasons for that.
>best dad
Now the real question is does that mean Karn? Or the soon-to-be dad Chilli?
>>
>>5509314
Could a fully realized / knowledgeable Okira with imagine dragon do something like.

"All of the super dragon balls are now at x location"?

Am I thinking to big? Am I not thinking big enough?
>>
>>5510136
>Am I thinking to big? Am I not thinking big enough?
Yes to both. There is a hard limit to this power. But, most important, that hard limit is entirely dependent on Okira herself. Much like the Dragonballs, her Imagine Dragon’s limit is HER own power. Which is why in a potential future story(on patreon) she was able to stop Made in Heaven’s time acceleration effects on the world itself. But moving seven massive planets simultaneously could be beyond her might. Remember after Chilli’s wedding how, once she’d fixed all the damage the battle with the Time Patrol caused, she immediately fell asleep? Because she reached her physical limitations and exhausted herself.
>>
>>5510224
As to spoiler, now that's some op bullshit.
>>
>>5510408
It’s all in the wording. Once she’s older she’ll get it. She can’t say “your powers don’t work”, because that’d be directly affecting a living being. But instead saying “all time altering effects stop working” doesn’t affect living beings, but instead changes the fundamental laws of reality itself around her. As you said, op bullshit
>>
>>5510422
.....she's a literal UNO reverse card of bullshit.....she is what Paragus described the Abridged version of Broly in the og TFS movie. I'M SO PROUD OF HER!
>>
>>5510422
WAIT WAIT WAIT, can't she boost magic enchantments and make them permanent too? She can even make make magic seals permanent too!
>>
>>5510845
If she grows and cultivates her power to its maximum, she could terraform planets with a sentence or two.
>>5510850
No. Not going TOO into the technical aspects of why, but the shortest answer is she has ZERO magical power or affinity.
>>
>>5510902
>Terraforming for fun
>Kais BTFO
I love our family.
>but the shortest answer is she has ZERO magical power or affinity.
You consider magic a living thing huh?
>>
>>5510907
Yes and no. Magic is a PART of the caster, but isn’t necessarily alive in all circumstances. Which is why the short answer is she doesn’t have magic, so can’t change magic. The ins and outs are a far later discussion
>>
>>5510963
....that's dumb. Magic is dumb.
>>
>>5511045
>Magic is dumb
Chilli would disagree
>>
>>5510963
so if we made her able to cast magic we could is what your saying, it's not like this is impossible but it's probably a terrible idea none the less.
>>
>>5511321
There are far more downsides to this route than upsides. Her power is already tremendously broken, adding a bunch of extra rules and restrictions would only hinder her growth. Not to mention that her power can already do more efficiently what many types of magic can
>>
All this Okira theorycrafting is making my brain hurt a little. Is it possible for her to create new, unstable atoms that normally don't exist for more than 3 seconds and the like, or is that beyond her power?
>>
>>5511361
>Is it possible for her to create new, unstable atoms that normally don't exist for more than 3 seconds and the like, or is that beyond her power?
Theoretically? Yes. Plausibly? No.
>>
>>5511367
Eh. Making new atoms is overrated anyway. I bet imagine dragon would be real good for cleaning up though.
>>
>>5511374
Yes. Her Stand has the best control over its surroundings.
>>
>>5511416
keep away from requim arrows
>>
>>5511436
She could actually battle Lyin' Eyes Requiem itself on near-even footing, after she's expanded her vocabulary and understanding, and got a decade or two under her belt.
>>
>>5511439
On one hand that's a long way of saying out of her league, on the other, that is a really high teir league.
>>
>>5511988
And that's nothing to say about her conventional fighting potential once she hits her physical peak as well.
Also now that I think about it, we finally achieved the impossible. The vast majority of our family, friends, and allies with special abilities aren't absolute fucking string beans and can actually hold their own in a straight fight.
Hell, even Guldo could destroy a planet if he felt like it.
>>
>>5512011
That's because we don't hoard techniques or training methods. That and our environment basically requires you to be swole or else you die, theres no safety net dragon for people. Also helps that most of our allies can transform or have alien jeanz. But that makes me wonder, would a human versed in ki like the Z-Fighters be able to catch up if they were our ally and they trained with us?
>>
>>5512090
Interesting question; I think that now that Elder Guru is in the mix with potential unlocks, it could happen. But a stock-standard human would still always be stuck in the Krillin-space of being a step behind on the big boys.

That being said the multiverse is a big space and there's more stuff out there than ki techniques and getting fuckin SWOLE, I'm sure an inventive standard human could close the gap.
>>
>>5512107
idk your basic human could get guru potential unlock, yardratian spirit fission training, literal jedi training from master yoda's holocron, sith training from darth bane, and a bunch of other shit, it's doable for them to keep up if they develop something unique for themselves.
i'd argue humans would have a better shot keeping up if they want to in this alternate universe then the normal one.
>>
>>5512090
We did get Jojo up pretty close to our level, humans have tricks to our brute strength. Karn just specialized in saying no you die.
>>
>>5512114
I think Ultra Instinct and Spirit Control would probably be the most viable thing to pursue for 99% of baseline humans if they wanted to keep up with people like Karn and Frieza. That and your standard ki based martial arts training, but that goes without saying.
>>
>>5511988
I think you misunderstood me there. When her vocabulary and knowledge have expanded to that of a highly educated adult, she will be able to battle a damn-near OMNIPOTENT force and hold her own without backing down. Karn was only able to resist it as long as he did due to DDF’s latent ability, and his nature as a Fateless being. Lyin’ Eyes Requiem could literally change the Fate of those within its influence, as we saw with Chilli, Meloka, and Freeza. Except for Karn, whose destiny is unwritten.
>>5512011
Yes. She’ll not grow into a Caulifla-sized meat wall, but she’ll be strong.
Yes. The wars of this timeline have been good for everyone’s developments, now we’ll see how they do with peace.
>>5512090
Yes and no. Someone of Yamcha, Krillin or Tien’s post-Namek stature could endure New Salda’s 20x gravity to train in. After all, Yamcha wasn’t immediately crushed into paste by the Capsule Corp gravity chamber Vegeta post-Freeza was training in, which was set a LOT higher than 20x Earth’s gravity.
But as for catching up, probably not. While they all made far more efficient gains under the same teachers Goku’d had years earlier, in shorter timeframes to boot, they’d never survive the gravity levels Karn trains his students at.
>>5512107
Three steps. But with clever thinking and rigorous training, could match or even surpass Chilli and Meloka’s ki technique ingenuity.
>>5512121
Got him past the four-figure mark in powerlevels, but back on earth he’s not resumed any sort of gravity training whatsoever. Instead focusing on school.
>>5512133
Spirit Control yes, Ultra Instinct no. Most humans don’t have the lifespan to master it, even with an abnormal amount of time like Master Roshi.
>>
>>5512224
>They'd never survive
Thats quitter talk, DROP AND GIVE ME 1000 MAGGOT
>Got him past the four-figure mark in powerlevels, but back on earth he’s not resumed any sort of gravity training whatsoever. Instead focusing on school.

b]AGE 752, CRIMSON DEMON VILLAGE OUTSKIRTS[/b]

“Hun, relax. I'm fine.” your wife says, reaching out and grabbing you by the forearm as you try and rush past her. “Chi, look at me.”

You stop, looking down at your wife resting on the couch you'd made her next to the fireplace. She holds your arm, fingers digging in as she stares up into your eyes.

“I'm fine. Relax Chilli. Please.” she tells you seriously. “Take a deep breath hun. You getting all worked up like this is really stressing both of us out over here.”
“Sorry, sorry. I'm just....” you say, taking a deep breath in then exhaling slowly. “Sorry. I'm just worried for you and our daughter.”
“I know hun. I know.” she says, letting go and patting you on the arm instead. “But I'm fine. Our home is the safest place on this entire planet and I'm perfectly comfortable. If I need anything at all I'll let you know immediately. Don't worry so much about me.”
“I don't think I could ever stop worrying about you Megu. You or our daughter.” you tell her, leaning in for a kiss. But as you do, suddenly the Crimson Demon Village's alarm suddenly sounds.

UNKNOWN AERIAL THREAT RAPIDLY APPROACHING! FROM THE NORTH!![/B]” you hear the automated voice calling out, almost flinching back from your wife as you immediately move to action. Your body moves as if on instinct, calling your staff to your left hand and the weapon you now know is named Moonlight Greatsword to your right. But then you realize that you're about to leave your wife Megumin alone, and glance back towards her. But she smirks at you, giving you a teasing wink.
“Go on hun. Go be the hero our people need.”
“But-” you start, when she shakes her head and gives you a playfully dismissive wave.
“Oh no you don't. I'm not gonna allow you to use me as an excuse to avoid helping out the village again.” she teases you, reminding you again of what happened the week before last when you tried to ignore a dragon threatening the village. “Get out there mister 'Crystal Sage', and do what only you can do.”

“Alright, but I'll be right back.” you tell her, your wife laughing at your no-doubt worried expression. Reaching out and grabbing your robe off the wall with your left, you then take off up the stairs towards the roof. Slotting the staff into it you sling the robe on over your naked chest, leaving your armor behind as it would take too long to go get. Sprinting up the spiral staircase you emerge onto the open roof.

But as you emerge into the midday sunshine, squinting against it to scan the skies, you see a vaguely person-shaped object approaching. Not the village, but YOUR home! Immediately you Ascend, going full power and surging up into the sky to draw the being's attention away from your home and onto you. Which clearly works, the being altering course for you immediately. You continue flying higher while moving towards the being, getting your home out of range of a potential battle.

As the unknown being approaches, you notice several things. First, you don't sense any ki whatsoever from the humanoid form of the armor whatsoever. Meaning that it's either and undead or a wholly divine being. Second, while the armored form and the weapons floating around it are clearly magical, or at least enchanted, you don't sense any sort of magical energy welling up from within the armor. Meaning that the user of this armor either isn't a magic caster themselves and is just using enchanted and/or magical gear, or they're on a level equal to the so-called Sorcerer King Ainz Ooal Gown, whose magic you couldn't really sense either. And third, as you stop midair, the shining armored-form slows its approach, slowing to a stop dozens of yards from you. Which means it isn't either a mindless monster or someone out for vengeance against you. At least, not blindly out for your head.

“That's close enough, stranger.” you tell the armored form, not threatening it with your weapons just yet. “Who are you, and why are you here?”
“You must be the one known as the Crystal Sage.” the armored figure says, as despite it stopping the weapons continue orbiting around it. Almost as if they have minds of their own. Immediately you notice that the being doesn't give its name, instead it goes only into what it is here for. “I've heard that you managed to repel the Sorcerer King and his undead army single-handedly.”

“So what if I have?” you reply noncommittally. Something's off with this being, especially with how its body hasn't moved. The only movement has been from the weapons themselves spinning around the armored form, in fact his chest isn't rising or falling from breathing, the figure unnaturally still. But it isn't radiating with necromantic energy, so it probably isn't an undead being. A construct perhaps? “What business is that of yours, nameless stranger?”
“Have you heard of the Re-Estize Kingdom?” the armored figure asks, you shaking your head after a moment's thought. “It was destroyed last year by the Sorcerer King's forces in a completely unjustified invasion. Over four hundred thousand men were slaughtered without quarter trying to defend their homeland, cities burned to the ground with few survivors escaping to other lands.

“If you're planning on trying to 'recruit' me into some sort of army, you're wasting your time.” you tell him seriously, shaking your head. “The matters and lives of people outside this village are of no concern to me.”
“Perhaps it is of no concern now, but if the Sorcerer King is not stopped, it will be.” the figure tells you. “The Re-Estize kingdom had a truce with the Sorcerer King, as did the neighboring Baharuth Empire. But the Sorcerer King sided with the Empire in their foolish annual border war, slaughtering hundreds of thousands of their men with a single, devastating spell. All to claim one of the Kingdom's border cities as a base of operations for himself.”

“Look. I'm sure the Sorcerer King isn't a good person. But this isn't any of my business.” you tell him, raising your hand. “I have more important business now, and already confronted the Sorcerer King in person. We have reached a mutual understanding. If he comes into my territory uninvited again, I shall destroy him and his people, along with his underground fortress he calls the 'Great' Tomb of Nazarick. But until and unless he does so, I won't go out of my way to wage war with his people.”

“You would side with that undead monster over humanity?” the armored form asks, to which you can only laugh. “What is so funny?”
“You people. Your worries, your lives, you are all so small.” you tell the armored man, unable to contain yourself while doubling over laughing. After all the mounting stress of the last few months, it feels good to just let it all out. The armored figure actually leans its head back in surprise as you keep laughing, letting the pent-up stress of your wife's pregnancy melt away. You lose track of time for a while, then as your laughter dies down and you regain control of yourself. “Sorry, sorry. But I needed that laugh.”
“You think yourself so above the mortals of this world?” the armored being asks, yet doesn't seem as offended as you'd imagined it would be. “But you are one of these beings as well.”

“You clearly have no idea who or what I really am. So allow me to give you a little demonstration.” you say, using your crystal teleportation magic to send the sword back to the roof of your tower before throwing your robe off, exposing your muscular upper body while still holding on to it in your left. And exposing your tail as well, which you'd had wrapped around your waist. Now freed, you stretch your tail out, which clearly draws the armored being's eye. “Take your hammer and swing it at me as hard as you can.”

“So, you wish to battle me?” the shining armor says, grabbing both the hammer and the curved single-edged blade in his hands.
“Fight you? No, this is a test.” you reply, allowing your aura to blaze up to maximum and blast the armored being back a dozen or so feet from the sudden pressure as your power peaks at one hundred percent. “If you can't move me from this spot, you're not worth my time. If you can move me, I'll LISTEN to the rest of what you have to say. Else, you leave me and my village alone.”

“Arrogant whelp. I shall show you your place.” the armored warrior says, releasing the sword and grabbing the hammer in both hands. It then rushes forward, putting the entire force of a humanoid body's design into the swing. The heavy-seeming weapon slams into your chest, striking with a force you hadn't quite expected. Yet you'd braced yourself fully for the attack as if your old man was trying to send you flying, to which this being didn't compare. It isn't even in YOUR weight class, power-wise, much less your dad's. Which clearly surprises the armored being. “What?”
“Was that REALLY your best?” you ask after sighing out in disappointment, shaking your head. But then, suddenly, you receive a telepathic message from Megumin!

“Chi! I, umm, well...” she starts, you sensing her sudden nervousness through the mental link. “I-I think my water just broke!”
“I'll be right there!” you think back immediately, turning from the armored form back towards your house.
“We are not do-” the armored figure says, reaching out and grabbing you by the arm. Without hesitation you whirl back on the armored warrior, grabbing it by the face.

“Get the FUCK out of my home!” you roar, throwing him away from you with every ounce of your Ascended might. Within a few seconds the being vanishes, being pitched so far away to the north that you can't even see him anymore. Once he's gone from sight, you immediately turn back to your wife and blast off down towards her. In less than thirty seconds you're back inside by her side, your wife holding the baby inside her and wincing in pain. “Megu!”
“It-It's happening.” she says, opening one watery eye and looking at you. “It's time. Our daughter's coming.”

You freeze in place at this, unable to process what's happening for several seconds. Then your brain resumes working, and you know exactly who to call.

“Dad, it's happening. It's time.” you think to your dad, trying your best to remain calm. “Megumin's water broke, it...it's really happening! I'm gonna be a dad!”

Then, almost before you're done telling him this, your dad appears beside the two of you. He sees the state both of you are in and immediately takes charge, telling you to pick her up carefully while your mother appears as well, going towards the village to get her parents as well. You hold your wife as she squirms uncomfortably in your arms, making small, pained noises as you watch on. Before you've realized it your mother has returned, your old man laying a hand on your shoulder then teleporting you all back into his ship by Dr. White. Who has the room already set to go, you walking forward as if in a daze and setting your wife on the table. It's time, it's really happening. You're going to be a father.

“The time is now!” your wife suddenly says to you, drawing your gaze back down towards her face. “I shall now embark on my greatest battle yet, and bring forth into this world the greatest Crimson Demon Saiyan to have ever been born!”

And as your wife makes her declaration to you you can't help but smile, laughing a bit with her and letting her squeeze your hand as she suddenly winces in pain. This is it. Your entire life has led up to this moment. And nothing will ever be the same.

Hahah get wrecked platinum dragon lord.

At some point, chili or a PTO rep should probably conquer the planets disparate kingdoms and unify them into a cohesive whole. Maybe a ways away into the future.

I hope chilis foray into fatherhood gives him a new understanding of just how much Karn actually tried with him, even if we didn't always get it right.

He certainly wasn't ready for Chilli's power.
Chilli, as owner of the planet, doesn't care about the lives and politics of the locals. So long as they don't interfere with or threaten the Crimson Demon Village.
He will most certainly have a new perspective on his upbringing, in time. Especially once his home is threatened and HE is the only one who can stop its destruction.
Yes, yes it is. And the final episode of the year is going to be something a bit different from me. Hope you're ready

zesshi zetsumei she's from overlord. one of the black scriptures from the Slane Theocracy. she's the chick with white and black hair. she has like a single scene in the anime so far. but she's around the strength of the Platinum Dragon Lord.

here's a quote from the wiki: "Although Antilene is willing to fulfill her duty at home, she still yearns to go outside and look to challenge potential foes who're likely more powerful than the former, strong enough to outmatch and impregnate her."

I'll just say that his daughter's birth will change Chilli's priorities, possibly drastically depending on what happens.

>>5512398
Of all the mistakes with formatting I made, due to scheduling change for the week, that one hurt me the most. Trying to keep the timeline consistent, because next episode we’re moving into AGE 754. That’s right, Meloka Wolbach will be born on New Years Eve/Day
>>
>>5512706
Daaaaw, that Chuuni baby has such a special birthday, she will be so excited

Only around 22 hours until this episode continues, hope you all are ready to be a granddad! And possibly give some much-needed advice to the new father

>>5512799
The future looks quite fun indeed
>>
>>5512940
How has Bane's view of Karn changed over the last few years? I know he was probably surprised when we disregarded the idea of becoming immortal as means of achieving our goals, but how has he responded to Karn's focus on control and fostering the growth of those around him more before himself?
I know he probably doesn't think we're cut out to be a Sith Lord, but does that also mean he's less motivated to teach us what he knows?
>>
>>5512706
>Meloka Wolbach
That is adorable. Do we have a last name though, or is that something that doesnt really exist in Saiyan culture?
>>
>>5512965
As far as I'm aware, no Saiyan has ever had a surname in this timeline.
I'm sure now that we're actually in a position for Saiyan culture to develop, they'll probably have surnames in a few centuries.
>>
>>5512962
He sees Karn as an illogical paradox of a being. Yet he also sees Karn as a valuable piece to finally getting himself a powerful body and gaining true immortality, in another century or two.
Yes and no. He has a better successor in Chaya, but teaching you will also raise the next generations of potential bodies even stronger.
>>5512965
Yes it is, and not yet. Saiyan culture is on the cusp of “earned” last names becoming common.
Chilli had to fight for that order of names, convincing Megumin that “Meloka Wolbach” sounded more wizardly and rolled off the tongue better than Wolbach Meloka.
>>5513003
Not for a long time, if ever. Maybe before the war that led to Sadala’s destruction.

That’d more than likely be a few decades away in-quest. But that does make me wonder, how many /qst/ MCs and/or their quest lived long enough for the protag to become a grandparent? Would ask the /qtg/, but we haven’t had anything negative in a while and don’t want to start the new year with outside conflict
>>
>>5513334
Its not that the question would cause problems GD, its the fact its run by commie trannies from Twitter and they would bitch period. But to my knowledge, most quests finished by the time the protags had kids. We might be the first to be Grandparents.
>>
>>5513341
Just don't namedrop SCQ and it should be fine. just saying
>has there ever been a quest that went on long enough for the protag to become a grandparent?
should be enough. If the nature of the question is what causes conflict, /qtg/ might be a lost cause if this is the case.

I don't really frequent qtg so I have no idea if they still be bitchin in those particular threads.
>>
In the chat for 'Dragon Ball: Level Up!' over on akun (actually a pretty enjoyable quest so far), the author was bitching about Saiyan Conqueror being lame because 'it has Star Wars, Dark Souls and shit in it' and because 'Karn is lame; the first time he went Super Saiyan against Freeza, he still just got his arse beat'.

lol.

https://fiction.live/stories/Dragon-Ball-Level-Up-/RqGGfHW52kLdYjNq9/home

It's basically a gamer isekai thing, where the main character pops in just before the start of Dragon Ball, goes to find Bulma, and encourage her and Goku to be a little less retarded. All while trying to make sure he doesn't get left behind power-wise by the Saiyans in the future.
>>
The first dragon ball wish (made while Goku was running amok as an oozaru) was to bring Gine back to life so she could calm him. And shortly after, for some reason, a 'crack in reality' opened up a bit, and the MC pulled through child-aged Caulifla and Kale; a bit out of nowhere, but seems like it will be good for the story.

They're now training with Master Roshi for the World Martial Arts Tournament, who now has a student roster of MC, Goku, Caulifla, Kale, Krillin, Yamcha and Puar.

Coping or not, absolutely bitchmade to not say shit to someone's face.

I can get not liking SCQ, It hits a certain niche not a whole lot of people can get behind. Though it is lame that they’re just staying in their own community talking shit instead of coming here to do so, but that’s par for the course for internet shit-flinging.

Good luck with that. Once Super Saiyan hits it is over, not even a veteran QM like Kato could pull something like that off for long.

>Good luck with that. Once Super Saiyan hits it is over, not even a veteran QM like Kato could pull something like that off for long.
There really is no good answer for stuff like that. I remember some weird superhuman bs that another quest made up, which ended up being broken AND making no sense. And I think Masako, a dragonball theorist who makes fanfic prose on the side, tried making the Z-Fighters stand next to super saiyans by trying to push kaioken tech as hard as possible. But even then its lampshades that once you hit Kaioken x100, further multipliers are diminishing returns compared to the strain.
>>
>>5513438
So the drooling faggots can't understand narrative relevance, just Goku smash? Its depressing the franchise turned into the key jangler simulator. I can only assume they bitch about the other franchises because they're to stupid to implement them like GD does, and they're salty about it.

This seems to get overlooked a lot in general and not just DBZ & alumni. If someone was there to fuck Sorbet up, Goku wouldn't have gotten Laz0r'd and such. Gotta cull some of the pawns first before you go straight to the king, amirite? (i don't play chess.)

>>
>>5513809
Yeah, i'm not saying they have to go after the big boss directly, but being able to assist would be a huge boon in of itself. The last time they did this that I can recall was back in the Saiyan Saga when it was the rest of the Z-fighters vs Vegeta. They were basically whittling him down like a raid boss, and while its true Goku did most of the heavy lifting, everyone would've died if it wasn't for Yajirobe and Gohan. I thought that the ToP would be a return to form but everyone that wasn't an alien save for the best droid kinda just jobbed and didn't change much. I still think the Saiyan Saga was the last time that Goku would be 100% utterly fucked in a fight without his backup.
>>
>>5513806
I get what you're saying. It's all in the prep work, or more accurately, leaving nothing to chance.
What were the odds of some mook being able to get the drop on Son Goku of all people?
Slim to none.
What happened? Exactly that.
Risk in is inherit in life, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be making an effort to mitigate those risks.
>>
Should be home in roughly 5 minutes to start the episode
>>
>>5513663
I always laugh when I remember that Gero made two dweeby teens into machines with not only an unlimited ki supply, but more raw power BY A LOT than a super saiyan. And he did that in a fucking cave with his brain in a jar. And that still wasn't the strongest thing he made.

But Bulma can't, I don't know, make a Iron Man style suit or something that isn't total ass and useless? Get the fuck outta here. Just give people synthetic ki reactor implants and robot arms and shit. How the hell you make a dimension jumping time machine but not a pair of boots that lets you teleport or something? I swear she isn't even a "genius" and any good inventions she made were from her daddy's notes.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After leaving Planet Yardrat and their Elder Pybara behind, Karn's family went back home to New Salda. However, Karn first went to visit with his eldest son Chilli to see if he wanted to get in on this training. However, upon his arrival he discovers that Megumin is pregnant! After congratulating the couple he returns home to speak with his king, learning of the training world plans for a planet known as Vampa will be used, name changed to Planet Tatsu in honor of your old man. Weeks later Chilli and Megumin break the news of their coming child to the family, then Chaya takes on her first supposed serious challenge back at Dreadzone. She defeats Captain Slag in dramatic fashion, destroying him with a Final Flash. But some time after returning home, it happened. Chilli gave the call that Megumin was finally going into labor! And as we rejoin Karn, you are sitting with your son outside the room.

“GRRRRAAAAAAAAA! FUCK!” Megumin bellows, voice full of pain as Chilli flinches beside you. “AAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!”
“Dammit.” your son mutters, clenching his fists so tightly you begin seeing drops of blood dripping from his hands down onto the metal floor. No doubt from his nails digging into his palms. “I hate this.”
“C'mon Chilli.” you say, but he seemingly doesn't hear you at all. So you reach out, grabbing him by the shoulder to comfort him. But your son jumps in shock, eyes wild as it takes him a couple seconds to recognize you. “Chilli!”
“Wha-Sorry, sorry.” he replies, sighing out and trying to visibly relax. “I, I just can't deal with this. I HATE feeling useless, unable to help my Megu while she's in pain.”

What do you do though? Do you try and comfort your son, or something else?

“Chilli. Listen to me.” you tell him, grabbing him by both shoulders and turning him to face you. “You need to get back in there.”
“But-” he starts, you shaking your head and cut him off, continuing.
“You can deal with your own emotions later, once this is over. But for now you need to be strong.” you instruct in your teaching voice, your son freezing at your tone. “Your family needs you right now, more than ever before. Your wife is fighting for not just your daughter's life, but possibly her own as well. You need to be strong for your wife and daughter, put on a brave face, and get back in there and be there for them. Do you understand?”

He'd frozen at your serious tone, eyes widening as you continued to speak. Then once you finished his eyes narrowed, a hard expression settling in as he nods to you a singular time. You nod back, letting him go as your son rises back up to his feet and starts marching back into the room. You rise up and follow a bit behind, heading back into the room where Dr. White is working alongside Caulifla to help her.

“Come now. Breathe, and push.” he tells Megumin over her pained screams, yet she clearly hears him. By the time you've walked in you see her parents by her right sideand Chilli is on her left, Megumin holding on to your son with all she's got, your son's face not showing the pain in his eyes at the state she's in. Being a solid rock for her, saying something quietly that you can't hear. However, your wife is standing behind him, and once she notices you walks over.

“Well done.” she thinks to you, flying up and giving you a light peck on the cheek before landing beside you. “Won't be long now.”
“Don't stop now, I can see her head! Push” the good doctor calls out, your daughter-in-law screaming in pain as her own mother tries soothing her. But then her tone changes as suddenly a new voice can be heard screaming out into the world.

Suddenly there is a blur of activity, Dr. White holding something in his arms. He says something to Megumin's mother that you can't understand, who nods and rushes over, magic gathering around her hands as Caulifla begins emitting golden light that washes over Megumin. Who then seemingly passes out, Chilli's composure cracking before she speaks up.

“Don't worry, I just cast a Sleep spell on her.” Megumin's mother Yuiyui says to your son. “After what she just went through, a moment or two's rest is well deserved.”
“Yeah....Yeah, you're right.” he says, still holding his limp wife's hand in his own. You watch as the doctor stands up holding something in his arms, a cord going from it back into the younger mother. He then tells Chilli to come over, which your son does hesitantly, cutting the cord. The doctor then takes the young infant over a few steps away to a washing station, the same one you'd put Chaya in after her near-death at the hands of Tanya, bathing the newborn before getting Yuiyui's help wrapping the baby in thick, soft-looking cloth and putting a small, fitted cap to its head. He carefully wraps the young half-Saiyan's tail in as well, then once the baby is ready tells her to wake Megumin back up. Which she does with a snap, Megumin's eyes snapping back open.

“Congratulations, Megumin.” Dr. White says, handing down the small, bundled child to the young mother. Whose eyes go wide, seeing her daughter for the first time. Gingerly she takes her kid into her arms, eyes unable to look away. You nudge your son, who blinks and shakes off the seeming trance he'd been in, and goes to his wife's side. Sliding an arm behind her and holding her to his side, she can't look away from their daughter as she speaks.
“Th-This is out daughter. We....We're really parents.” she says, still sounding awestruck. Chilli is completely unable to speak, gingerly reaching down towards his daughter with a single finger. Clearly worried about accidentally hurting her. Somehow the kid's right arm wiggles free, reaching up towards his hand with her own. And lightly, ever so gently reaches up to her dad's hand, pressing a single finger to his. His eyes widen, tears forming after a few moments as he looks down at his daughter's tiny hand. His wife also begins tearing up, and for some reason your own vision gets blurry as well. Meloka comes to your side in that moment, you reach out and holding her to you as you all watch the new parents and their daughter. Your first granddaughter.

>>
>>5513925
The room is very quiet, the only noises coming from the good doctor typing away at his computer, no doubt verifying everything went well, and the sounds of Megumin and Chilli whispering to their daughter. Caulifla comes over to your other side, clearly crying and you hug your daughter as well as the moment really sets in. Then, after perhaps a minute or two, Dr. White turns in his seat back towards the new couple.

“Tell me, does your daughter have a name?” he asks, the new parents struggling to pull their eyes off their daughter.
“Her name is Meloka Wolbach.” your son tells him, as Megumin continues whispering to her daughter. Dr. White nods, fingers going back to the keyboard and entering this information in.
“Meloka Wolbach. Born on the first day of the new year.” Dr. White says, surprising your son and even Megumin, who both look over to him. “Just before she was born, midnight passed. It is now the first day of AGE 754.”
“Bringer of the New Year. I like it.” Megumin says softly, gaze returning to her daughter. Chilli holds his wife and does the same, you all giving them space and leaving the room. You tell them both that if they need anything to let you know, but you aren't sure if either of them heard you. Both entranced by their daughter, the new life in their arms.

“Do the two of you want to stay here for the night, instead of going back?” you ask, turning to Megumin's parents. “We have plenty enough room for you all to stay the night.”
“I appreciate the offer, but-” Hyoizaburoo starts, his wife elbowing him in the side to silence him then speaks up.
“Thank you very much. We'll take you up on the offer tonight.” she tells you with a smile. “We could all use some sleep tonight. Besides, Megumin should have the both of us here if she needs anything, right dear?”
“Hrmm. I suppose you're right dear.” he replies, crossing his arms as he sighs out in capitulation. “Best we stick around, just in case.”

“Alright, if you'll follow me.” you tell them, leading the couple to a room close to the medical bay. It isn't fancy, but their eyes light up when they see the size of the room and thank you gratuitously. You tell them to rest up, leaving them to their business as you head back to your own room. Where you and Meloka settle in, falling asleep soon after. The rest of the night passes peacefully, you waking up to the sensation of something crawling up your body. Immediately your eyes snap open, seeing your youngest son. Instead of speaking up and waking the rest up, you reach out telepathically to your boy. “Good morning Karn Jr.”

“Mornin'!” he says with no regard for his sleeping mother and siblings, sitting down right on your chest. So you use your telekinesis to lift your boy up, along with his siblings and slip yourself out of bed. Setting everyone else down, you grab your son out of the air and start walking from the room. He wraps his tail around your arm as you carry him, trying to decide what to do. When you decide to check up on the new parents, walking from your bedroom back to the medical bay.
“Where we goin'?” he asks, confused.

Which is a good question. Well?

“We're going outside son.” you tell him, walking down the halls towards the entrance ramp. “I'm taking you out to get breakfast.”
“We're going fishing?!” Karn Jr asks, nearly bouncing out of your arms in excitement. “Really?”
“Really.” you reply, holding onto him as he bounces in your arms. Walking to the entrance ramp, the semi-liquid form of Silver's boy not rising up to greet you as you head outside. Which is odd, but you pay it no mind. You head over to the shore, setting him down while reaching out with your ki sense. You look out over the sea, finding several creatures not too far away. Perfect. “Are you ready?”

“Wait!” he exclaims, clenching his fists and closing his eyes. You feel his ki starting to rise, growing higher and higher by the second. His power grows to more than ten times his resting strength, surprising you. Sparks start dancing around his gold aura, hair spiking up a bit more noticeably before focusing back on you. “Ready.”
“Alright, follow me.” you tell him, leaping up into the air. Karn Jr flies up as well, you flying for a few seconds before stopping, turning to your son. “Now, can you sense anything nearby?”
“Hmmmm.” he says, closing his eyes and focusing. He's quiet for several seconds, then suddenly his eyes open. “There!”

Your son immediately dashes down into the water, you following behind him a step or two. He flies down into the waves, directly towards the ki signature of one of the sharks. You follow as he charges straight towards it, the beast no doubt sensing his approach. It sees the golden form of your child, then immediately turns tail and flees. No doubt having learned that your kind's presence means death.

“H-Hey!” he exclaims, bubbles swirling around his head as he shouts in the water. But you sense something changing with your boy. His power suddenly begins skyrocketing, aura exploding out from him and actually blasting the water away from him. His body is then consumed in a flash of light, then once it fades, you see something astonishing.

His outline has changes, long, golden hair going all the way down his back as his eyebrow-less glare is focused on the retreating form of the shark. Then in a blink your son surges forward, closing the now hundreds of yards between them in less than a second. The beast doesn't have any idea what happens, as the moment your son catches up to the creature drives his little fist down squarely into its head. He doesn't hold back, the shock waves from his punch rippling through the water and slamming down on the sandy sea floor below, making a hole clean down to the rock below. The beast dies instantly, blood oozing out from the hole through its head. Seeing his prey dead, your son turns to you excitedly, but his expression quickly changes. His face looks strained, your son immediately looking up as you realize he's out of breath.

“Go up and breathe, I'll get it.” you tell him telepathically, Karn Jr blasting back straight towards the surface as you grab the dead beast with telekinesis before following him. It takes you a few seconds to surface, and when you do see your son panting heavily, trying to catch his breath.

“Haah, haaaah, haaaah!” he wheezes, hands on his knees as he hovers above the water. “That was close!”
“You have to hold your breath when underwater, we can't breathe it in like the fish do.” you tell him, hoisting the beast onto your shoulder. Now out of the water, you can see that it was a surprisingly sizable specimen, easily twenty feet long. It also has a few scars on its body, no doubt from fighting either others of its kind or less-lucky hunters. “Now come on, let's go fix it.”
“Right!” he exclaims between breaths, powering back down and flying alongside you back home. Once on the beach you instruct him how to use the right amount of ki to heat up a carcass, your son over-cooking it slightly. But not bad for his first attempt, he didn't charcoal it like you had done the first time back in your youth. After cooking it you instruct him how to cut it with his energy, the two of you sitting on the sand and eating the entire beast yourselves.

“You're growing up so fast.” you tell him, reaching over and ruffling his light golden hair. “Well done today.”
“Thanks! I've been practicing!” he exclaims, rising back up to his feet and clenching his fists once more. “HAAAAA!!”

And once again, explodes back up into his Super Saiyan 3 form.

“Momma's been teaching me.” he tells you, tail flicking twice in excitement. “Now I can get strong just like her, and one day get even stronger than you!”
“Oh? You think you're gonna get stronger than me?” you ask him teasingly, your youngest son clenching his fists.
“Uh-huh! I'm gonna be the strongest!” he declares confidently.

The write-in to go for Oozaru training earlier actually made me think about something else.
There exists a rare phenomenon where athletes with extreme cardiovascular endurance (cyclists, marathon runners, swimmers, triathletes, etc...) will just die in their sleep.
The idea being that since their bodies have acclimated to having a low BPM during intense exercise, their hearts just stop when they sleep. The best comparison I can make is a sports car that just stalls if it's a low gear too long.
Now keep that idea in mind as we shift to Karn Junior who has never actually powered down. That means his body has always been in a heightened state of stress, and that he's more acclimated to it than anybody else.
If he ever actually powers down to his base form, I'm worried he might just go into cardiac arrest right there.
>>
>>5514124
well, I'd wager he'll never be able to power down but that's a curious hypothetical
>>
>>5514129
I'm sure he can do it, he just needs to train to do so or get some kind of suppressor. Either way, I want him to do so under Doctor White's supervision.

“You think you're gonna be the strongest, huh?” you ask him, pushing yourself back up to your feet and towering over him. “Well then, let's see just how far you have to go!”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PqSbLnrKiQ

You raise your powerlevel back up to its maximum in your base form, still enough to dwarf your youngest's might without transforming and take your fighting stance. He takes a clearly unconscious half-step back as you power up, no doubt sensing your strength, but then smiles as he mirrors your stance. Just as you'd taught him.

“Here I come! HIYAAA!” your son shouts, kicking off the ground and charging directly at your face. He draws his right fist back as he charges, you bracing yourself. He swings, but his punch is quite short. Instead he flips forward, dropping a heavy axe kick down at your head. You smirk, having seen through his trick and catch the blow on your left forearm. Despite having sensed his strength, the weight of your young son's attack still surprises you, catching you a bit off guard that such a powerful strike came from your toddler son. Who then flips backwards under your upraised arm, his face only two-ish feet from your own with his right fist drawn back once more. “HYAAAAAA!”

With no time to bring your other arm up and block the strike you dodge it instead, leaning your head and upper body to the right and letting his fist sail harmlessly between your skull and still-upraised left arm. As you do, however, you also twist and bring your right fist up in an uppercut towards him. But your son isn't so focused on his attacks that he doesn't watch you, in fact he's carefully watching your fist as it rises up towards him. Despite the difference in your powers, it seems that in his enhanced state his awareness is actually faster than your own. As your fist rises, he dances around it, twisting himself backwards and flipping back away from you even further. He actually seems to ride the shock wave from your own swing back away from you, flipping back a full circle. As he returns vertical, you see that your son has actually gathered his ki into his hands, and with another tiny, high-pitched roar fires them both at you.

“HAAA! HYAAAA!” he shouts, sending the two energy orbs flying straight at you. Which would have been easy enough to dodge, except your home is right behind you. So you instead focus, bracing yourself and actually catching the orbs. One in each hand. Which leaves you wide open as your son rockets forward, directly under your outstretched arms feet first towards your torso!

But you were ready, twisting yourself clockwise around his foot as he charges in. His 'surprise' attack narrowly misses your body, the young boy sailing past you. As he does, you redirect the blast you'd caught in your left hand down, it detonating against his torso and slamming him down into the ground.

“Nice try kiddo, but you're gonna have to do better than that to be the strongest.” you tell him with a light teasing note to your voice, throwing his second attack down onto him as well as you leap back. The second energy attack explodes as well, blasting the remains of your breakfast back into the sea as you take to the air.
“HAAAA!!” he shouts from the newly-made crater in the sand, firing a surprisingly powerful golden beam directly up at you. Which you again dodge easily enough, the blast ending as your son once more surges up towards you. But as he gets close, suddenly he stops in place. Which surprises you, but you don't let your guard down. After all, Meloka has been working with him, taking him for private lessons to master Super Saiyan 3 so he doesn't accidentally break something. But that might not be ALL she's taught him.

You watch from your guarded stance as he brings his hands together, forming another ball of ki between them. It rapidly grows larger than his entire body, your young son holding the attack over his head as he looks at you.

“Dodge THIS one! HAAAA!!” he challenges, throwing the orb towards you. So, naturally, you brace yourself and instead catch the powerful orb. Once you've stopped it, however, you hear your son shout something you hadn't expected. “FIRE!”

And right in the center of the orb, aimed at your torso, his Sky Cannon orb fires a beam directly into your chest! With only a split-second to act you immediately activate your Energy Body. It solidifies around you as the beam slams into your center, the energy of the orb in your hands quickly vanishing as it unloads its power at you. But you remain where you are, letting your ki tank the attack for you until his blast runs out of power. In the exact moment it does, your son charges at you between your now-empty hands, smiling confidently as he charges straight towards you. You're unable to dodge, and the only moves you could use in response are highly lethal. So, instead you keep your Energy Body going, his fist slamming into your ki an inch or so from your face.

“Nice try kiddo.” you tell him, your son seeing you've activated your armor and withdrawing his fist with a happy smile on his face.
“Haha, I did it! I made you use it!” he exclaims happily, confusing you. “I made Daddy use his supa armor against me!”
“Heh, that you did.” you say, ending the shield and ruffling his hair. Karn Jr beams at this, you both powering down as you drift back towards the ground. Which is, of course, when you sense it. A massive powerlevel is rapidly approaching New Salda!

You sense something, someone whose energy feels somewhat familiar. But you can't quite place it, looking up towards the sky as you sense the energy approaching. You stare up into the sky, brows furrowing as you try and place where you've felt this particular ki before.

“Daddy?” What's wrong?” Karn Jr asks, no doubt worried by your silence staring up into the sky. You don't turn your gaze away, feeling that tremendous energy getting closer and closer, no more than a minute from New Salda's atmosphere and moving at high speed. This could be trouble.
“Son, go inside. Go wake your mother.” you tell him, your son immediately leaping off of you and flying towards the ship's entrance. He knows that, if you're waking his mother up early, something serious is going on. Flying back inside you then kick off the ground, flying straight up towards that somewhat familiar energy. You KNOW that you know this ki, yet still can't place it. Just who is approaching your world?

Taking a deep breath before you reach the edge of the atmosphere you then clench your fists, Ascending into your strongest Berserker state before reactivating your Energy Body. Which won't give you much air, but enough to take another breath once the one you're holding runs out, and blast straight through the atmosphere out into space. Free of the atmosphere you look towards the approaching powerlevel, and notice a faint green glow. One that still feels so familiar, yet still its owner remains a mystery. Who is it? You think furiously as the form approaches, then as the emerald glow gets closer your breath starts running out. So you take that last breath of air in, ready for whatever happens as the figure within their energy becomes visible. And recognizable. You know who this young woman is.

“Koriand'r?” you ask, telepathically reaching out to the young woman. Who stops, looks around a few seconds until she sees you and waves a bit nervously. “What are you doing all the way out here?”
“Umm, if it's not too much trouble, could I perhaps stay here with you and your people?” she asks, clearly nervous. “Maybe forever? And NOT tell my sister I'm here?”

Wait, what?

“I'll hear you out, follow me.” you think to her, pointing back to your planet before flying back down. You can feel her ki follow your own as you reenter the atmosphere, the heat burning on your Energy Body but not affecting you directly, while the young Tamaranean princess is seemingly unaffected by the heat. Once the flames die out you lead her down to your island, telepathically telling King Vegeta what you know.
“I can't head over myself at the moment, just tell me everything.” he replies, you agreeing as you step back down on the beach. The young woman lands beside you, nervously rubbing her upper right arm with her left hand.

“So, what happened?” you ask her, the young princess telling you her story. After you'd thrown her sister Komand'r off your planet with King Vegeta's help, she'd apparently gone on a rampage on Planet Azar. Causing enough problems with her drunken, furious sprees that her parents, the king and queen of Tamaran, called her home. Where apparently they both were murdered, Komand'r claiming the throne. No one opposed her, having seen her power firsthand, and she became the new ruler of the Tamaranean empire.
“And then my sister wished to have me be a political prisoner, kept locked away until she could marry me off to someone for an alliance between their people and our own.” she says, shivering a bit as she sways on her feet. “But the man was just as cruel a tyrant as my sister, so I fled. I knew that I wouldn't be safe unless I made it here, so I haven't stopped flying for weeks.”
“You must be tired and hungry.” Broly says, you both turning and seeing your son standing at the bottom of the ramp. “Come on in, breakfast is almost ready.”

As he says the word 'breakfast' her stomach growls, the young princess taking a step forward. Only to suddenly start collapsing, Broly lunging forward and catching her, expression worried. Immediately his hand goes to her neck, then sighs out as he looks up to you.

“She's still got a pulse. But we've got to help her.” he tells you seriously. “Her sister is trouble, we can't let her go back.”

Her sister is indeed trouble, that much is true. But your son doesn't realize just how much trouble she can cause. You're not one for politics but harboring a fugitive from a legal authority could be a problem. A sentiment King Vegeta agrees with wholly.

“This could be trouble.” he thinks to you, you almost able to hear his mind spinning at a hundred thoughts a second. “I'm sure Komand'r wouldn't try and take her by force, but she could still cause all sorts of problems within the PTO. She could appeal to King Cold's authority directly, and force a huge political scandal with this situation. Hell, he may even rule in the new Tamaranean Queen's favor, to keep the peace and not have his empire fracture so soon. After all, what's one life for peace?”

You look from your son, still holding the woman in his arms and looking worriedly down at her sleeping face back to the sky, thinking.

“I'll leave this one up to you, General Karn.” King Vegeta then tells you, catching you by surprise. “Your authority within the PTO as a military commander supersedes my own as a planetary leader, having this be your decision will carry much more weight. But what will you do?”

No promises made and pretty much all we're within our authority to do. That said, we CAN help her plead her case to Cold or try to come up with a workaround in the meantime.
How does marriage law work on New Salda by the way?

That's not the worst idea in the world, but I think "stewardship" kinda implies that we'd spend a significant portion of our time living on New Salda and directly overseeing it's operations as a PTO entity.
That doesn't seem like something Karn has the time or skill to do effectively.
>>
>>5514308
Inform King Cold and Freeza of the situation, and ask if they believe it would be in the PTO's best interest Komand'r to maintain control of the tameranian empire after murdering her parents and claiming the throne by force, or if they would prefer for her to be removed and Koriander put in her place.
>>
>>5514312

You could ask, as IC you don't know. But the Tamaraneans have their own way of doing things. An outsider coming in and deposing their regent would NOT go over well, and would lead to open rebellion out of sheer anger regardless of the ruler deposed.

“She can stay.” you tell your son, then to King Vegeta, “I'll have her here under my protection and will tell both King Cold and Freeza as well.”
“That's for the best, I'm sure telling both of them immediately will be an excellent idea.” King Vegeta tells you. “Good luck.”

You then end the mental link, addressing Broly once more.

“Take her inside, and let her rest up.” you tell him, then telepathically reaching out to your emperor and his father as he picks her up. “King Cold, Lord Freeza. We need to talk.”
“Ahh, General Karn. I take it the woman has arrived?” King Cold asks, catching you by surprise. “I take it you've already decided on your course of action? Or perhaps you are here asking for my advice?”
“Advice is appreciated, but I believe that I've already made up my mind.” you tell him, watching Broly princess carry the unconscious woman inside. Meloka comes out as he does, looking curiously from Broly and Koriand'r back to you then walks down. “I shall keep her here under my personal protection. If her sister tries anything, she'll have to answer to me.”

“I told you, Father.” Freeza says, finally speaking up. “I told you that he would take the wayward princess in. My general has a soft spot for picking up strays.”
“You were right, of course. I shouldn't have doubted your knowledge of your friend's ways.” he says, you feeling a bit of a pang as Meloka walks up to you.
“She ran away, we're keeping her here away from her sister.” you tell your wife, then add in. “Also Komand'r is now the Tamaranean ruler, having killed her parents and taken the throne.”
“I see.” Meloka says, sniffing at the air and no doubt smelling as you focus back on the two rulers.
“If she decides to take this through official channels, the Tamaranean could cause you trouble.” King Cold tells you seriously. “It could become a... Nuisance.”

“If she wants to cause trouble, she knows where to find me.” you reply seriously, adding Meloka into the mental call. “And if that bitch wants to start a war, I can go directly to her the moment she declares and erase her. Hell, since leaving Planet Yardrat, I can find her ki here from my home and handle her personally.”
“While she is an annoyance, she IS the legitimate ruler of her people now.” Freeza tells you, you sensing his sigh through the link. “And the Tamaranean people would most certainly rebel, should their regent be 'assassinated' in such a manner. They're a fiercely loyal people, much like your own people. I'm sure you'd have reacted, should some outsider have killed the last King Vegeta.”

cont
>>
>>5514458
You think over what he's said, and after a few moments can't help but agree with him.

“Precisely. The Tamaranean will be in your care, but this problem will be your own to resolve, should an issue arise.” King Cold tells you. “Should this become a political issue, it will be solved by politics. Do you understand?”
“I do.” you answer, remembering the last political problem you'd helped solve. The Zoldycks had it coming. “I will handle this, when the time comes.”
“Excellent. I shall leave you to it.” King Cold says, ending his link. Freeza remains linked for another second or two, clearly wanting to say something, but ends the link as well without a word.

“When she comes, you let me have her.” Meloka tells you. “I have a score to settle with that bitch. Promise me that, if this becomes an issue, I get to kill her.”

Well?

I have a plan, but it kinda depends on Koriand'r.
Specifically whether or not she's down to take out Komand'r and rule for a time.
>>
>>5514459
>Tell her that you doubt it'll come to that, but if it does you won't stand in her way

>>

>>Disagree, tell her that if anyone should get to take her down it should be Turles

Meloka and her got into bitch fights. Turles lived with her for YEARS and had to put up with her constant abuse. He EARNED that fight.
>>
>>5514473
On that note, I just looked at the powerlevel pastebin.
Turles is more than a dozen times stronger than Komand'r. It'd be kind of a fucking stomp.
Hell, Koriand'r could fight her on even ground too if it weren't for that amulet. The same goes for Ticho as well.

“I really doubt that it'll come to that hun. Komand'r is still afraid of us.” you tell your wife with a chuckle, patting her on the back. “But if it does, if this devolves to a trial by combat, I won't stand in your way. She can be all yours.”
“Good.” she replies, nodding to you once. “Now that that's over, how about we go check on Chilli and Megumin?”
“Sure thing.” you reply happily, you and your wife going back inside. You go back into the medbay, where you find Megumin humming to herself as her daughter feeds, Chilli still sitting there beside the bed with his arm around her back, unable to take his eyes off his daughter's face. “Hey you two. Get any sleep last night?”

“Morning Mom, Dad.” Chilli replies, Megumin almost reflexively going to cover herself but then relaxes as your wife no doubt tells her something. “Yeah, we got a few hours. I hadn't thought she would be so....Loud.”
“Just like her old man.” Megumin says with a giggle, her words striking Chilli and causing him to freeze in place for a moment. You chuckle at this, watching your son mutter “old man” a couple times to himself before he laughs as well. Meloka and Megumin start talking about the differences between a 'natural' birth and using the pods early, to which the young mother says she'd certainly be more open to it next time.

“I'm glad I brought our daughter into the world, but there's no way I'd go through THAT again.” she says, your wife laughing at this declaration and patting her on the knee.
“I agree. Besides, if you're using the pods you can have more children faster.” your wife tells her, the young mother's eyes widening at the declaration. She and Chilli share a look, your son laughing at this.
“Maybe one day. But right now, one kid is more than enough for us.” he tells his mother, your wife not pushing the matter and simply smiling at them before turning her focus back to the granddaughter. Who finishes eating, letting go of her mother and looking around at all the noise. She sees you, eyes widening as she looks up at you.

“Hey kiddo. You see me, huh?” you ask, reaching down towards the infant. Who reaches up to your hand, grabbing your finger with both of her tiny hands. As she touches you you can feel the warmth of this new, precious life and can't help but smile. Which causes the young Meloka Wolbach to smile back, making happy, intelligible noises. You then reach out with your other hand, laying it on Chilli's shoulder. “You'll make a great dad, Chilli. You can do this.”

He turns to you as you say this, the shock clear on his face. You smile at him and pat him a few times on the back, nodding once before turning back to the granddaughter. Who smiles up at you all, eyes wide and filled with wonder. Redoubling your commitment to strength, to be strong enough to protect your family. All of your growing family.

Wondering how the Koriand'r situation will develop, and what other problem(s) will make themselves known? All this and more, in 11 1/3 hours at noon EST when this episode continues!

>Wondering how the Koriand'r situation will develop
What I really wanna know is how we get that bullshit amulet away from Komand'r.
Would it be too out of line for Karn to just destroy it himself and call for a duel between Komand'r and Koriand'r?
>>
>>5514582
That was my thinking(ish), but it seems like if we're too direct it's going to piss off the Tamaraneans.
>>
>>5514592
It really depends on how far Koriand'r pushes things as well as the significance of the amulet itself. If it's something like a royal heirloom, we probably can't destroy it.
We COULD however argue that she should be barred from using it during any duels between rightful heirs to the throne, but even that might not work.

After spending time with the new parents, you'd gone off to grab breakfast and bring it back to them. Only for the door to open as you'd approached, Caulifla walking in with a pair of large trays filled with food.

“Thought you guys'd be hungry.” she says, walking over and setting the two trays down on the bed by her older brother. “Breakfast is ready.”
“You two stay here and relax.” you tell your son and daughter in law, rising back to your feet. “You both are welcome to stay here as long as you need.”
“Thanks.” Megumin says, you nodding to her before rising up, walking out and heading to the mess hall with the rest of your family. Where it's noticed immediately when you're not digging in as well.
“Daddy an' I went fishin'!” Karn Jr speaks up as Caulifla asks, the older daughter nodding along. But immediately both Maz and Kayle seem upset, complaining they hadn't got to go.
“You two can go with me tomorrow, as long as you behave.” you tell them, the non-identical twins nodding along. Even their nods are differently-timed, showing just how different the older twins are with their identical movements.

“What's the plan with her? With the princess?” Broly asks, having not been included in the talk with Freeza and Cold.
“She'll be staying here, long as she wants.” you tell him, your son seeming almost relieved at the news. “Should her sister come looking for trouble, you are NOT to stop her. Do not confront her, simply get your mother or I and we will handle it. That goes for all of you, understood?”

Various yes's ring out from the kids, you knowing that this will be enough for them to understand the severity of the situation and not try fighting her themselves. The rest of the meal passes uneventfully, your day returning to its normal schedule until lunch. When the Tamaranean princess emerges from wherever Broly'd taken her, stomach growling audibly as she follows the scent of food.

“Umm, may I perhaps get a bite to eat as well?” she asks, looking around the room while standing in the doorway. “If it's not too much trouble?”

“Sure, pull up a seat and help yourself.” you tell her, gesturing to an empty space near your sons Chilli and Maz before turning and calling out to Silver. “Another platter, we have a guest.”
“Here.” Broly says, standing up and offering her his seat. Meloka raises a brow at this in the corner of your eye, the foreign princess thanking him and sitting down as he moves away to get another seat. As he does, the pale hair and skinned, red-eyed woman walks out with another platter. She sees the Tamaranean immediately, walking over and setting it down before her.

“Thank you ever so much.” Koriand'r tells her, clasping her hands before digging in. She tears into her meal with a vengeance, surprising even you with her ferocity. She clears it in minutes, sitting back and visibly relaxing once she's eaten. “My compliments, this is the best food I've ever eaten! I simply must thank the chef!”
“That's mighty kind of ya'.” Silver says, having emerged while she was eating. “Broly over there told me some of what happened t'ya, so I made a lunch to restore strength when you didn't show up for breakfast.”
“I greatly appreciate the consideration!” she replies happily, you glancing aside at your boy a moment. Who is blushing and looking down, not making eye contact with anyone. Odd. “Thank you all for your hospitality.”

“Of course. You told me a little bit, but what all happened?” you ask her. “How did your sister's takeover result in you going on the run?”
“It's a long story.” she says with a sigh, looking down at her hands with a sad expression on her face. “It all started when she came back home without Turles or Ticho. She was furious, angrier than I've EVER seen her before. She quit doing her job as regent, drinking all day and smashing up the palace in her booze-fueled rampages. Before she was bad, but at least Turles could focus her wrath on himself and take it relatively well. She destroyed the palace a month ago, killing dozens of people. After this our parents couldn't tolerate her anymore, sending some of their veteran Royal Guard after her. She went with them, but then when she went home to Planet Tamaran she murdered our parents.”

Your kids are all clearly surprised by this, except for Broly who'd already heard her short version earlier. Caulifla looks exceptionally upset, looking from her to you and Meloka and back, stunned.

Koriand'r starts tearing up a bit as she talks about her parents' end, your kids all looking uncomfortable at her sudden sadness. Surprisingly the most angry is Broly, your son clenching his fists and slightly trembling. But after wiping her eye she continues, taking a deep breath.

“Once she killed them both, she took the throne on our homeworld.” Koriand'r continues. “No one opposed her, lacking the strength to challenge her. So my sister became the new Queen of Tamaran, consolidating her power quickly. She had me captured by the Royal Guard on Azar, holding me until she found a sufficient ruler from another world to ally with, planning on using me as a bargaining chip to further her rule.”
“That's terrible.” Kayle says, frowning. “Your sister's a butt.”
“Yeah!” Maz agrees, nodding enthusiastically. “But you're safe here. Daddy's a lot stronger than anyone!”

“Your father is indeed strong. He's the only one my sister has ever really been afraid of.” Koriand'r says, a small smile coming to her lips. “I remember how upset she was when you left our world the first time.”
“As long as you're here, your sister won't try anything overt.” you say to the Tamaranean princess. “As long as Meloka or I are still around, she can't get you here. You're safe.”
“Thank you.” Koriand'r says, nodding graciously to you. “I am in your debt.”

After the meal your schedule returns to normal, but with the new addition of Koriand'r following along. She joins in on the training, clearly enjoying her time despite the fresh, deep sadness of losing her parents. And life goes on. After a couple weeks Chilli and Megumin, along with their daughter Meloka Wolbach go back to their own home. You feel their absence, having grown quite attached to your granddaughter, but he agrees that you all are always more than welcome to come visit. Days turn to weeks, the young Tamaranean princess adjusting to life on your world rather quickly. She joins in on your trainings with your students, her power growing surprisingly quickly under your tutelage. Then, more than two months after Koriand'r landed on your planet, you sense another powerful ki approaching your world.

It feels unfamiliar, not like any being you've felt before. But it is also powerful, more than a match for your base form. Whatever this being is, it is quite powerful. But also trying to conceal its power, you only able to sense it as clearly as you do thanks to your Spirit Control training. So you immediately reach out to King Vegeta, seeing what he knows.

“Hey, do you see that massive powerlevel approaching?” you think to him, reaching out telepathically. “Something strong is coming.”
“What? Nothing's appeared on the scouters.” he replies, ending the mental link for a few seconds. You and Meloka share a look, then Broly walks up, also looking worried.
“You sense it too?” Broly asks, looking from your wife's face to your own. “Do you think that it's her?”
“No, Komand'r wouldn't try concealing her power.” you reply to him, again focusing on the power approaching your world. It is clearly alien, different than a Saiyan, Freeza's family, Tamaranean, Sangheili, or any other being you've encountered before. “Mel, stay here with the kids. I'm going up to see what that is.”

“Right.” she replies, you wishing Ubo had returned from wherever he went. He'd left weeks ago, looking for a facility that was owned by his people that Arctus's scouts had found. But hearing all this, the Tamaranean princess steps forward.
“I'll go with you. I can breathe in space, giving you time enough to come back down and get another breath, if you need it.” Koriand'r offers, you shaking your head. “Why not? Do you not think me strong enough to help?”
“It's not that, it's just...This being is different.” you tell her honestly, clenching your fists and Ascending up into your strongest Berserker form immediately. “If it comes to a fight, I'm not a hundred percent certain I can win. This thing is strong.”

At your declaration everyone seems surprised, but you can't waste any more time. Not if your want to confront this thing. So you focus your ki, quickly forming your Energy Body then leaping straight up into the air. Flying fast you quickly leave the atmosphere behind, placing yourself between your planet and the approaching power. Feeling it getting closer you spread your arms wide, channeling even more power into your armor and brightening it, making yourself unmissable.

“Come on, show yourself.” you think to yourself, waiting as the power continues coming closer. But, to your complete shock, a voice answers your thoughts in your head!
“Be at ease, warrior. I do not come seeking conflict.”

Wait, what?!

“I do not come to your world seeking conflict, champion.” the strange voice again speaks into your head, no doubt belonging to the powerful being. You then see a small speck approaching, you watching as the rapidly-approaching being comes into view. You see a green humanoid being, wearing a blue collared cape flowing out behind it with a pair of red straps across its chest holding it in place. The being comes to a stop just outside your range, any closer and you'd have made a move. “So, you are the one known as Karn, father of Chilli.”

“How do you know my son?” you reply telepathically, immediately even more on edge and ready to attack. If this bastard's coming to attack your son, there's no way in hell you'll let it leave here alive! “Who are you?”
“I am known by many names. But you may call me J'onn J'onzz.” the green man says with his thoughts. “As for how I know your son, do you remember a being known as Dr. Fate?”
“Who?” you ask, the name unfamiliar. But then an image appears unbidden in your mind, no doubt projected by the mind reader floating before you, and you unmistakably recognize the figure who the name belonged to. Or, more specifically, the deity hiding in that golden helm that tried to have your son assassinated, and your people wiped out! This powerful being was sent here by that damned golden helmet, no doubt to finish the job and have your family killed! Looks like you're in for a fight after all.

>What the fuck did Nobu do?
He probably fed the League some bullshit sob story once Kars dropped off his crushed helmet.
He probably forgot to mention the part where he arranged for a hit on us under fraudulent circumstances and then proceeded to get his shit pushed in by a small child.
>>
>>5515202
To be fair Chilli is a direct subordinate of the major god of death in this setting, Nobu might have very well set off blackest night if he pissed Jergal off enough.
>>
>>5515233
True, but I doubt Jergal would go that far, even if his new Reaper is famous, though it could be a grudge worth considering seeing as one god outright stepped on his office with the most banned from the afterlife guy around...hmm, yeah, I could see that being enough to get on his shitlist since Jergal does his job properly, and Chilli is making his way to employee of the month. But if J'ohn finds out a God of Order lied through his teeth...that will have interesting implications.
>>
>>5515243
Forget Nabu overstepping his bounds as a God, what's J'onn gonna think when he finds out a League member arranged for a child to be assassinated?
>>
>>5515247
A stern talking to and a slap on the wrist is in order.
Seriously though, what the FUCK is Nabu's problem? We never fucked with him if memory serves me right. Is he just a massive pussy or something?
>>
>>5515251
SKoT is one of the high up gods and probably on the side of order, she may very well had told Nobu Karn and his family is chaos incarnate and let him do the asshole shit he does with that.
>>
>>5515187
Everyone has their own inherent flaw, don't hold it against them.
>>5515200
Remember the name of the arc.
He may have a very specific problem.
>>5515202
Do you remember episode 165?
>>5515202
He's here for a reason. Which may or may not involve Karn.
>>5515233
>blackest night
Not for a single reaper killed by a mortal's hands. One mortal on instructions from a divine being killing another mortal on a different deity's bankroll.
>>5515243
He would certainly hold a grudge against Lobo, more than he already does. But despite everything, both Jergal and Dr. Fate are technically both deities of Order.
>But if J'ohn finds out a God of Order lied through his teeth...that will have interesting implications.
You now know how the episode is going to start, what with him reading Karn's mind and all. He'll SEE how everything went down through Karn's eyes.
>>5515247
He will have questions.
>>5515251
He just showed up on another, higher deity's orders to kill both Karn and Chilli, as they're spreading Chaos.
>>5515256
It could possibly be her. But that would require it going down several levels of the divine hierarchy to reach him.
>>
>>5515251
Karn and Chilli are apparently fucking up the natural order of things, as if that's not completely fucking arbitrary to begin with. Anyways, Nabu and a ton of the other Gods of Order are salty about it.
>>
>>5515259
I personal don't see doctor faith straight up lying to the league. maybe twisting the truth or lying by omission but not outright speaking falsehoods.
>>
>>5515259
>Everyone has their own inherent flaw, don't hold it against them.
Even Superman admits Ollie can be abrasive. Imagine how much of a shitter you have to be to get the nicest guy on Earth to admit one of his friends is kind of a prick.
Sidenote, I can't wait to eventually talk to Clark.
>>
>>5515269
fate not faith. makes him sound like a Bibleman character.
>>
>>5515263
Chilli really isn't doing anything though, hes just faffling about in his towntaking care of his wife in his tower and doing basic wizard stuff. if the order gods were really mad about about that they'd go after all wizards and probably most isekai protags.
>>
>>5515247
Fuck arranging a child to be assassinated, he tried to kill the kid because he didn't have the balls to kill his daddy, nor even attempt to kill his daddy. True Bitch Energy right there.
>>5515251
I think it was the fact we stepped to Pink Bitch and he thought killing us would prevent our erasure.
>>5515256
I think that also happened.
>>5515259
>He may have a very specific problem.
Oh.....ooooooh nooooo....
>He's here for a reason. Which may or may not involve Karn.
He got our undivided attention, poor bastard.
>You now know how the episode is going to start, what with him reading Karn's mind and all. He'll SEE how everything went down through Karn's eyes.
And the next sentence determines if he sees his daughter when he finds out. I have high hopes for him actually.
>>
>>5515270
>Clark Training arc with Ubo? Clark training arc with Ubo.
>>
>>5515274
He's made it known that he intends to take a shot at a major deity AND he inadvertently subverted fate when he accidentally brought back that retard during the Youth Tournament that Lobo crashed.
I'm not saying the Gods have good reason to condemn him, but those reasons exist nonetheless.
Also I'm pretty sure the Isekai protags get a pass since they're (usually) the product of Divine intervention. Tanya being the exception to that since she stole a "legitimate" God's Divine essence.
>>
>>5515280
Honestly surprised tanya isn't on the gods shitlist IMO. She of all people really should be because shes basically just as bad.
>>
>>5515277
Maybe, maybe. Clark could use any type of training.
I would suggest training with Bruce under red solar lamps, but that would still leave a huge gap in his arsenal.
He needs to learn how to fight properly while flying, which is something only Karn and his allies are really equipped to teach him.
>>
>>5515283
She IS on their shit list. Do you not remember when Kars came to New Salsa to address the issue?
That implies somebody higher on the divine totem pole gave him the order to do so.
>>
>>5515287
except that encounter ended with Shin basically saying "since being x started it, she gets to keep it"
gods are dicks even between themselves
>>
>>5515263
Succient summary
>>5515269
He's a wily one and can almost match the Fae in wordplay.
>>5515270
Just because he's kind of an ass doesn't mean he can't also be great. In his own way
>Sidenote, I can't wait to eventually talk to Clark
:^)
>>5515274
The difference between other wizards and Chilli is he's using the original power of Disparity, that which originally brough about life and death, heat and cold, light and dark to the universe. THAT power of creation (and un-creation) is why they fear him.
>>5515276
True, bitch energy indeed. And he got manipulated by Boros as well.
An interesting theory. Erasing Karn so the entire timeline, and by extension himself, is certainly a good reason to do so.
>Oh.....ooooooh nooooo....
You have no idea why he's come. And it's going to be fun either way.
>>5515277
>Clark Training arc with Ubo? Clark training arc with Ubo.
At this point Ubo would be training Clark.
>>5515280
Yes, his proclamation is well known. Jergal MAY have made sure others heard this as well, to keep them out of your son's way early. He doesn't want a GoW scenario potentially leaving the divine hierarchy basically gone.
>Tanya
She WAS the product of divine intervention, until that was usurped by Tanya herself. But we'll see how her tale concludes eventually with the Chaya rematch.
>>5515283
She is. But a mortal taking a god's position isn't unheard of. Especially when that deity loans the mortal their power. It happens quite often, relatively.
>>5515284
We'll see what happens with him.
>>5515287
>>5515290
It was a cluster.
>>
>>5515292
>He doesn't want a GoW scenario potentially leaving the divine hierarchy basically gone.
I get what you mean, but are you also implying that Kratos wiping out the Greek Pantheon happened in this timeline?
Because I would also kill for the chance to meet him. Ideally in between his flight from the ruins of Greece and his arrival to Midgard. I feel like that specific era of his life is woefully underdeveloped.
>>
>>5515298
probably not especially since this version of earth is a weird mix of DB and DC. Wonder Women & the amazons are closely tied to the Greek gods so it wouldn't make sense for them to all be dead (especially since the dc versions would have absolutely shit on Kratos).

I still wonder if mars is still fucked in this time line leaving manhunter as one of the last ones.
>>
>>5515298
I'm implying it happened on AN Earth. May have been a long, long time ago, but it could have happened.
>>5515312
>this version of earth
>implying there aren't several different Earths due to how widespread humanity was at one-point pre-Majin Buu.
>>
>>5515316
then they wouldn't be earth's they would just be planets humans colonized... unless a kai got really lazy and just copy and pasted earth and called it a job well done.
>>
>>5515323
I mean we KNOW kais can be hilariously lazy about shit, so it's very well possible. You know actually thinking about Canon DBZ relative to this quest, Canon frieza had to have went on a full on genocide spree murdering whole galaxies considering how much stronger this U7 is to the Canon one.
>>
>>5515335
>Canon frieza had to have went on a full on genocide spree murdering whole galaxies
Given how he was implied to have been doing Beerus' job for him as he slept, he might have.
>>
>>5515335
Too add to this our frieza is practically benign comparatively, like yes he still is emperor of the universe and is full well willing to go murder whole planets if they piss him off like the whole zoldyck shitshow, but he's far more willing to simply let shit be and even simply just have planets pay him tribute instead of actively killing everyone and sell their land as real estate.
>>
If Martian Manhunter starts shit, we can just send Caulifla to kick his arse with her stand.
>>
>>5515335
>>5515337
>>5515339
You mean Cold? He was the one making the Empire until recently.
>>
>>5515323
Groups of humans scattered across hundreds of planets without technology, thinking that was how Bibidi/Buu were tracking them, who were then abandoned when they ones spreading them were caught and destroyed by Buu and all grew with vaguely identical origin “myths” on planets suited to human life.
>>5515335
Remember, that’s the name the humans on the planets named their worlds.
And yes. After all, where were the Covenant in DBZ canon?
>>5515337
Yes. After all, Beerus would order certain planets’ destructions when he didn’t feel like doing it himself. Such as with Planet Vegeta.
>>5515339
His power is more well known now than in canon, thanks in no small part to Vox. Who, thanks to Karn’s infuence(and killing of Ratchet in the fight on Shaar) is still alive in this timeline.
>>5515349
1, you’d have to discover his weakness. 2, fire doesn’t work in space. 3, would it count with invisible fire he can’t see, and only feel the heat of?
>>5515354
It’s the family business.
>>
>>5515360
Kinda sucks best Lombax is dead, he would have been a cool dude to hang with.
>>
>>5515366
He would not have been cool with Karn. He's very anti-genocide and universal takeover
>>
>>5515373
Oh please, the furry bastard shot how many people and robot armies?
>>
>>5515373
>He would not have been cool with Karn. He's very anti-genocide and universal takeover
Well...sucks to suck.
>>
>>5515386
But they were "the bad guys".
>>5515387
Wasn't meant to be.
>>
>>5515412
So is Lombax the type of guy to rant about evil tyrants and genocide? Because if he and Karn met, I would imagine Lombax berating Karn for being such a cruel and unspeakable harbringer of death, only to just get something equivalent to "Cry about it." in response and then we get into a fight to the death with the furry crusader.
>>
>>5515414
That doesn't sound much like how Ratchet would act I think.
>>
all of this ratchet & clank talk makes me wonder if the time patrol have their own version. especially since clank has some minor time powers.
>>
>>5515427
Oh shit I just realized his name is Ratchet and not Lombax
>>
>>5515412
Oh god, your right, NuRatchet would be a mini Trunks, WE COULD HAVE FIXED HIM THOUGH!
>>5515414
No, I bet the reply would be, what is your job again? And how many try to exterminate your species?
>>5515427
Yeah, he isn't the type to really ask questions like that, Clank on the other hand, TOTAL TRUNKS BOT. At least at the start until Quark proved he was a nobody. Old Ratchet and Clank after their adventures would probably understand. Not like it, but wouldn't antagonise us unless we are fucking with them or destabilising the area.
>>5515431
Took ya long enough.
>>
>>5515429
Well, if they died in Dreadzone, they never got to the adventure that had that happen. Clank is like a Local Pink Bitch.
>>
>>5515414
Nah, more the one-liner and "Why would you do this?" sort of character. Not the self-righteous, preachy type.
>>5515429
Quite possibly. But he wouldn't be sent against YOUR timeline especially.
>>5515431
Ha
>>5515435
As long as we weren't in their area, they wouldn't go out of their way to stop you.
>>5515436
Never got to learn he had time powers in this timeline.
>>
>>5515442
RIP nostalgia duo.
>>
I just realized something. For as often as Karn cooks his freshly caught meals, he never goes beyond straight grilling/roasting. I suggest Karn go ask Silver for a good all around spice rub recipe so he can just carry that shit around in a bottle at all times.
>>
This first epilogue is going to be a good one, we're starting the year off right with the Golden Emperor himself!

>>5515445
Wasn't meant to be.
>>5516129
Karn doesn't know the ways of spices, rubs, marination, and other food prep secrets.
>>
>>5516259
>Karn doesn't know the ways of spices, rubs, marination, and other food prep secrets.

we must fix this posthaste.

I'm sure a few people have bribed saiyans with good food
>>
>>5516259
You'd think he'd wonder why Silver's food tastes the way it does even when it's a cut of meat Karn's cooked before.
Even something as simple as salt and pepper would probably take Karn's rough and tumble meal prep to the next level, to say nothing of a proper spice rub.
>>
>>5516444
That's WHY he has Silver and all of his assistants/chefs in training, so his family can eat the best.
>>5516446
He knows, but he doesn't know.
>>
>>5516449
I wonder which of our kids will go on a Culinary Quest, they go the ninja assassin cook mentor, the tsundere senpai, the cool older brother rival, the badass mascot. It'd be great.

QM QUESTIONS

This is it boys, this is the year your QM starts to really get his sorry ass back into shape! Gained damn near a hundred pounds since the depression first hit back in 2012 (233lbs today). So, I need all of you to hold me accountable and make sure I never flake on this.

But enough about my personal life, on to what everyone really cares about: the quest! Already five full posts in on this year's first epilogue, thanks to having today off work. We're starting this year off right with what Freeza's been up to, and who he's recently overcome. As we all wait for Thursday when it'll be ready, how about the first round of questions for the year? What events are or aren't you most looking forward to seeing out of SCQ this year? Who among your friends and allies are you most looking forward to seeing more of in 2023, and whose growth are you most eager to witness? What are your thoughts on the Remnants arc as a whole? Which events did you most enjoy, which ones didn't you like personally, and why?

>>5516472
It is not something you've noticed your kids having any real interest in.
>>
>>5516579
Then we'll just make another one. Character bloat is a hoax.
>>
>>5517810
>Then we'll just make another one. Character bloat is a hoax.
Meloka is sterile and Towa probably doesn't have the time to raise another kid right now.
>>
>>5516579
Alright, don't blame us for reminding you of that!

The likely fight against Beerus and co sounds like a good time.
Freeza's growth is going to be one of the most interesting, and I'm curious about Ubo and this might sound weird, but I miss the Ctarl-Ctarl a bit, even though they're a little annoying.
I liked it, it was fun!
>>
Between SS4 Vegeta and Bardock (and Nappa?), DemonSS4 Leyas and Serada, SSGod Meloka, Berserker3 Karn, BlueStar Ubo, Gold(almost Black?) Frieza, Gold Cooler, Gold Cold (?) (lol at the name), Captain Ginbuu, and then the food being prepared by Silver and his kitchen staff, Beerus is going to be thrilled when he wakes up.
>>
>>5517855
Honestly speaking, yeah, we should probably invite Beerus to spar with our allies before getting to the main event.
He gets a warm-up and Meloka gets a better chance of scoping out his abilities.
I would say Karn would also get that benefit, but he probably won't remember shit after the ritual.
>>
>>5517810
>Character bloat is a hoax
I wish that were true, but that's entirely wrong.
>>5517817
>Meloka is sterile
Meloka is CURRENTLY sterile.
>>5517822
You'd better. I'm getting up every morning at 620 for my 8am shift to beat on a heavy bag and do ab workouts. Keep me accountable, just like everyone does with me running the quest.
>Freeza
You'll enjoy the epilogue and get to see some more of his development. He's come a long way.
>Ubo
Not for another episode, maybe. But soon.
>spoiler
Then oh boy do I have good news for you. Remember the problem they told you about at the tournament, and you never heard anything else about?
>>5517855
The main event is going to be wild, that's for sure. You may be too optimistic about certain characters, but it will be one hell of a ride.
>>5517860
That's implying you won't spar him first. After all, he remembers your strength from before. When you went Ultra twice in a short timeframe and nearly killed yourself from the energy drain. That was the first time Freeza saved your life.
>>
>>5517867
Boxing is such a great workout.
>>
>>5517867
>I'm getting up every morning at 620 for my 8am shift to beat on a heavy bag and do ab workouts.
I'm not sure if that's really effective for cutting fat, but I guess it's good for your core.
What's your diet like?
>That's implying you won't spar him first.
That's the best part. He's not aware of ANYTHING that happened after our last meeting, so we can pick and choose exactly what he gets to see before we go all out.
>>
>>5517877
That it is. Going hard at it then going to work absolutely sucks, but in a month I shouldn’t be feeling it nearly as bad.
>>
>>5517867
>CURRENTLY
So there's a chance?
>>
>>5517867
I need to workout more, but I just got a single kettlebell and a pair of dumb bells. No gym for miles near me and it sucks.
>>
>>5517904
The question is if it would be natural or an outside force.
>>
>>5517906
You can get a good workout going with just calisthenics. Just don't expect insane hypertrophy.
>>
>>5517904
Well, let’s just say that it wouldn’t be impossible for her to have another kid one day, but that requires something special. Something, divine.
>>5517906
That’s why the best exercises like pushups, bicycles, planks, leg lifts etc are free. You don’t need fancy equipment, just the drive to do better, to be better

My favorite thing about exercise is that the only question that matters is "Does your spine work at all?" because if the answer is yes, there is SOME kind of workout you can do. Even if you can only turn your head and look up and down. Drag your ass around with your jaw. Get a strong fucking neck. Be the most powerful chin worm in the world.

Its Zamasu. But as for how, well. You’ll have to wait and see

Damn fine words.

Speaking of motivation, for the first time I made it through the song before I quit working the bag (I’m Back to Rise by Mick Gordon for the curious)

My fave Mick Gordon song is Polemos, though most of the Killer Instinct themes are fantastic; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQDab8vT8GU
>>
>>5518196
Mick Gordon’s works are always bangers. Never heard a Bad track from him.
>>
Better buckle up boys, tomorrow’s epilogue is eight posts of Cold’s golden child fighting an...Odd threat. You might need to go back and recontextualize several old encounters after this one drops.

Unironically looking forward to it.

>>5518992
Freeza's gains and wish might come in handy I bet.

Also, do you use gloves/wraps for boxing or just go bare fisted?
>>
>>5519066
Oh it’s goimg to be wonderful.
>>5519090
Remember how there were people not associated with Mechi OR SKoT at Chilli’s wedding?

His gains most certainly will. Especially against an opponent who took shortcuts to match his power.
Yes, both. I work with my hands and can’t afford an injury

Good. I also hope you understand how to use that heavy-bag right. It's NOT just about wailing on it.

I’m not a super-powered alien with healing pod technology, I have to take care of myself.
And yes. This is the one I’m starting out with to rebuild my stamina before going into any longer workouts:

>>
>>5519509
I don't have any bags, it sucks. I just got some dead weight and rocks.
>>
>>5519607
If you wanna train but can't afford proper equipment, you gotta make do with what you have.
Joe Frazier didn't start out with anything besides a burlap sack full of corn cobs and sand hanging in a barn. He then went on to beat Muhammad Ali's ass for talking immense amounts of shit.
>>
>>5519607
Id recommend saving up and getting one, but only if you’ve got a place for it.
>>5519792
True. Will and mind can overcome quite a lot. And while I’ll never be a famous boxer to lift my ass out of low middle class, I have a steady job and you all here so that’s enough for me

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 188 Epilogue-

AGE 754, PLANET YARDRAT

“I must say, I am quite impressed. Never in all of my years teaching has a student ever mastered my techniques in such a short time span.” the Yardratian elder Pybara says to you sincerely. “While your balance was so much further off than the Saiyans', and took you far longer to correct, once you did had each ability of Spirit Control mastered within no more than a week each. Even Forced Spirit Fission, my most complex ability only took you five days to master.”

“Thank you for the praise, honored elder.” you reply with only the barest hint of sarcasm in your voice, giving the elder a deep bow. “It was my pleasure to spend these last months here studying under you.”
“Now that you have our technique, what do you intend to do with it?” Elder Pybara asks you, a more serious note to his voice.
“Well, I do have a rematch to get to.” you reply, rising back up to your full height. “But first, I do have some other business that has been waiting for me. After all, I do have an empire to run. And while I was here a...Situation has cropped up. I must go to Planet Tamaran and deal with a rather troubling ally. Their ruler has changed, so I must go renegotiate the standing peace treaty with the Tamaranean Queen's predecessor.”

“I see. Well, I wish you luck, Freeza.” Elder Pybara says, giving you a bow this time. “Our doors are always open to you and yours.”
“Thank you. If any trouble shows up, please contact either myself or General Karn and we shall assist in whatever way we can.”
“I appreciate this.” the elder says, you both sharing a nod then you raise your right hand to your forehead. Focusing your ki sense, you immediately sense your friend's massive ki, along with his wife and several other powerful Saiyans on their homeworld. You also sense the young Tamaranean woman slowly approaching New Salda as well, having talked with your father about her. In fact, you'd bet him that he would take her in, sheltering her from her sister's wrath. But that's a problem for another day, from what you can sense she's at least a week away from meeting the Saiyans.

Changing your direction, you find your cousin's energy, then further beyond him find the vaguely familiar ki of the new Tamaranean Queen. Focusing on her, instead of teleporting directly to her decide to reach out telepathically first.

“Princess Komand'r, I hope I'm reaching out to you at a good time. Or, should I say, Queen Komand'r?” you ask, reaching out telepathically to her. “I have heard of your recent ascension to ruler of your people and was hoping we could address several official matters.”
“Lord Freeza? Very well, let me know when you'll be arriving and I'll have everything ready for you and presentable.” she replies, you sensing a small hint of something worried leak through the link despite her trying to project confidence. And can't help but feel a cruel smile come to your face, remembering what Karn and King Vegeta had told you about her. “As for titles, 'Grand Ruler' is sufficient.”

“I see.” you reply. “Very well then, 'Grand Ruler' Komand'r, we have much to discuss.” you think, focusing on her ki and teleporting. One instant you are standing in the presence of Elder Pybara, the next find yourself standing at the foot of a throne. Several people gasp in surprise, a half dozen of what seems to be royal guards of some sort quickly form a half moon between yourself and the foot of the throne's stairs. You can see that the throne itself is damaged, broken right at head level for a being a foot or two taller than the Tamaranean girl herself. No doubt her father's height, from where she killed him. “Now, let us get down to business.”
“Fre-! Lord Freeza. I was unaware you possessed that technique as well.” she says, stifling her sudden surprise and forcing her tone to be level. “I had expected to have time to prepare for the Emperor of the Universe.”

“A little damaged masonry and torn upholstry from a fight is no trouble, I spend enough time in the presence of the Saiyans, after all.” you say jokingly, waving it off dismissively with your left hand. “Besides, we have more important matters to discuss. Including the peace treaty between the PTO and the former rulers of Tamaran.”

At this several people behind you start murmuring in surprise, Komand'r rising up to her feet and sweeping her arms in a broad gesture.

“Leave us. If you all remain outside the throne room, once my business with the Emperor is concluded I shall resume hearing your petitions.” she declares, the voices continuing to mutter as several other of the men who are clearly guards escort the crowd of locals back out through the large double doors at the other end of the room. “My most sincere apologies for the delay.”

It takes only a minute, two at most for the room to be cleared of everyone except for Komand'r, yourself, and her guards. Which there seem to be a lot more of than you'd first noticed.

“Must be really important for you to come out here all the way by yourself.” Komand'r says, sitting back on her throne. “Or, perhaps there's something else going on?”
“There is always something else going on.” you reply to her, tail flicking once as you smirk. “But right now we have more important matters than the goings on of the PTO. Right now, we need to discuss our now-outdated truce.”

“Outdated is an understatement. I was hoping to address some of these terms myself.” she tells you, clearly letting you know how this negotiation is going to be right up front. Over the course of the next hour you discuss the finer points of the treaty her parents had signed, Komand'r wanting to change several of the terms involving both trade and military obligations. While doing this you'd reached out to Arctus, having him write down the new terms you'd both agreed to. Then, once it is all finally over, the Tamaranean ruler stretches both arms over her head, grunting.

“Now that business is over, how about pleasure?” she asks, looking at you strangely. “After all, this is the first time you've been to Planet Tamaran in quite some time, Lord Freeza. I'm sure they would love to get their hands and other parts on you.”
“I appreciate it, but not today. I have other business to attend to elsewhere.” you tell her, declining the offer. “Perhaps another day, when I don't have quite so many matters to attend to.”
“Very well, suit yourself.” she replies with a mildly disappointed sigh. “The pleasure room is always open for you, Lord Freeza. The men and women both would be greatly pleased with your patronage.“
“I'll keep that in mind.” you reply, bringing your right hand back to your forehead. Focusing, you reach out to your father's ki, then return back to his world with a moment's thought. But right as you teleport, you feel something grab you by the shoulder. At the same time, instead of appearing in his throne room, you find yourself in an unfamiliar laboratory of sorts. Standing before you is blue-skinned demon, one you actually realize. “Towa, of the Demon Realm. I hadn't expected to see you here.”

“Forgive me from taking you from your father's home. But we have an urgent problem.” she tells you, immediately letting you know that this is serious business. “An unknown Time Breaker is trying to ERASE Karn!”
“Send me in.” you reply immediately, cracking your neck and knuckles. “I'll handle this threat.”
“That is why I called you in.” she replies, looking worried. “After all, the one trying to kill him is your own brother.”
“Cooler.” you say through gritted teeth, clenching your fists. “Send me in, my older brother cannot stop me.”
“Be careful, he's greater than you've ever seen him before.” she warns you, tone serious. But it's your brother, you can handle him no matter how strong he's gotten.

“Then there's no time to waste.” you say, gesturing for her to get things moving.
“Good luck.” Towa says, Freeza and Churai vanishing from her lab. She then sighs out, turning back to the scrying orb. “You're gonna need it.”

Meanwhile your perspective shifts, changing once more. You see the Hive creatures swarming a group of Saiyans, a much younger golden-haired Karn leading his allies. But he isn't fighting the swarm of monsters, instead he's fighting a familiar metallic shape.

“HAAAA!” your brother roars, grabbing the golden-haired warrior by the face and slamming him down back-first into the ground.
“KARN!!” his wife Meloka, who is also noticeably younger shouts, giving one of the monsters an opening to attack her from behind. But you don't let her die either, raising your right hand and firing a Death Beam. It burns a hole through the creature's head, the monster falling limp as she turns to you. “Wait, Lord Freeza?! Why are you-?”

But you ignore her, surging forward and slamming your foot square into your brother's metal face right as he prepared to fire a blast into Karn's face, which would have killed him. Instead your kick sends him backwards, your brother's pale ki blast flying past you and exploding into the swarm. Cooler flips backwards through the air several times before landing down on all fours, sliding to a stop.

“L-Lord Freeza? How...?” Karn asks, shocked by your sudden appearance.
“Leave Cooler to me.” you reply, not looking away from Cooler. “I shall handle this.”
“Right!” he replies, minuscule powerlevel rising as he blasts away from you.
“Brother.” Cooler says, pushing himself back up to his feet. “No, you're not my brother. My brother was killed by a Super Saiyan, and would never go out of his way to save one.”
“What a terrible timeline you must hail from.” you reply, taking your usual spread-arm fighting stance. “But since you are my brother, I shall give you the small mercy of leaving here alive. Leave my future general alone and you won't be harmed.”
“Future general? You really aren't my brother.” Cooler replies, raising a single finger towards you. “Die.”

Cooler unleashes hell, firing thousands of ki shots from his fingertip towards you. Clenching your fists, your aura blazes up around you as you swing and backhand the first of the attacks. Which is surprisingly weaker than you'd thought, easily swatting it away. You then continue swatting the blasts away with both hands, taking care to ensure you don't send any towards the Saiyans. Yet he doesn't slow down, continuing to fire thousands of shots at you a second. This can't continue, you have to change the pace of this fight!

“Enough!” you say, activating Karn's Barrier technique you'd learned from him. Your energy spreads out, forming a shield of ki around you as you then charge forward.
“What?” Cooler exclaims, shocked as his attack quits working. He stops firing, taking an uncertain step backwards as you blitz forward. Cooler tries to counter your right punch with a left, you charging straight through his fist. His arm explodes in a spray of oil and metal, you flying through and landing in a slide behind him. Turning as you come to a stop, you see your brother clutching at his stump in shock. “You-You broke my arm. How? You're supposed to be weaker than me in this form.”

“Weaker than you? Don't make me laugh.” you taunt, but your brother doesn't retort with words. Instead, several thick wires explode out of the stump, writhing wildly. You watch in morbid fascination as more and more sprout out, rebuilding his arm before your eyes. In less than half a minute his arm has been completely reformed, your brother clenching his metal fist before turning back around. “Oh? Looks like you won't be bested so easily.”
“You cannot kill me, little brother.” Cooler replies with a smirk, his smugness irritating you. “The Big Gete Star has allowed me to cheat death.”
“We'll see how long you can continue to boast that.” you reply, smirking back at him. Which clearly gets under your brother's metal skin, his eye twitching in annoyance. “After all, with that fragile metal body, there's no way you can compete with my true power.”

“Oho! So, this version of you has unlocked the Golden power as well?” he asks, catching you by surprise. “You seem surprised that I know your secret. Go ahead, show me just how much power you're hiding.”

“Tch! SHYAAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, ki spiking and golden aura blazing as you transform. Your body changes, turning the same shade as your aura as you take on your strongest form. The ground cracks and crumbles beneath you as you sigh out, then take a deep breath in and meet your brother's gaze. “Here, my Golden form. Just as you wanted.”
“I won't lie, you're far stronger than my own brother.” this metal Cooler replies, clenching his fists. “But you still aren't strong enough to challenge me! HIYAAAAAAAA!!”

To your shock, his aura starts glowing golden as well, shock waves traveling out from him as his strength skyrockets as well. You're shocked as his chome body changes to gold as well, your brother shining bright as his strength clearly rises to match your own.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cB63cwzwoB8

“Yes, it is true brother. I, too, have obtained this power. Behold! This is Golden Metal Cooler!” he declares, standing far too confidently and cocky for your liking. “Feast your eyes, I think it looks far better on me than on you. Wouldn't you agree?”
“Only one way to find out.” you reply, readying yourself for a real fight. “Let us settle this petty squabble once and for all.”
“I was about to say the same thing.” Cooler replies, playful edge in his tone gone. Then, as one, you both surge forward. “HAAAAA!”

“HIYAAAA!” you roar, both of you slamming your gold-clad right fists together. The ground shatters around you both as the shock wave from your clash blasts out. You both then fire off a counter left as well, fists once again clashing. You then flip forward, swinging your right foot down onto your brother in an axe kick, forcing him to block with crossed arms. Leaving him wide open as you reverse your flip, uppercutting him in the chin with your tail and sending his metallic body flying. Flipping back onto your feet you then surge up after him, closing the distance in a blink and launching into a vicious assault before he can recover. “HRAAAAAAAAA!!”

Before Cooler can get his guard back up you've closed the distance, right fist blasting his jaw then left shin crashing into his right side. The moment your brother winces in pain, doubling a bit over you fire off a lightning-quick left jab square into his nose, snapping his head back before driving your right up into his gut, doubling your brother over. But you're not done just yet, as you then grab the back of his head with your left hand and drive your knee up into his face. Metal crunches as your brother gasps in pain, but you're not done yet! As his body recoils, you twist, slamming your tail into his jaw and sending his metal body crashing down to the ground.

“Take THIS!” you roar, gathering ki into your Death Ball overhead and throwing it down at him. Cooler's eyes widen as he sees your attack dropping down towards him, leaping up into the air over your attack. Like a fool. “NICE TRY!”

You redirect your orb up after him, Cooler caught by complete surprise as the attack turns, slamming into him from below.

“Wh-What?!” he exclaims, just before being consumed by your attack. The orb detonates, exploding in a fiery blast. You watch as his body is consumed, disappearing in the explosion. Then you see his body fall from the smoke cloud, crashing back down to the ground. However, having seen his regeneration before, you know that didn't kill him. So, you fly down, landing beside the crater where he crashed down. Peering over the edge, from the dust in the bottom of the crater he suddenly fires a pair of beams at you. His attack catches you by surprise, barely able to dodge the attack by throwing yourself backwards away from the hole. Leaning back, the two beams pass just over your chest, narrowly missing you.

Flipping backwards you catch yourself on your hands, springing off them back to your feet a few feet from the crater's edge. As you slide to a stop, your now-uninjured brother rises up out of the hole. He looks as fresh as when the battle started, his smug grin still irritatingly on his face.

“Tch.” you exclaim, surging forward and once more going on the offensive. You close the distance, once more launching into a barrage of strikes. But this time your brother manages to defend against everything you throw at him, matching you strike for strike. Then, to your surprise, he starts going on the attack!
“HAAA!” Cooler roars, firing a cross over your jab, his fist slamming into your jaw and knocking you off-balance mid attack, staggering you a step. “You can't beat me, little brother.”
“You sure love to run your mouth! SHYAAAAAAA!!” you roar, unleashing a massive wave of ki. Your attack consumes his body entirely, yet unlike with your last attack, he's completely unharmed! He then dashes at you THROUGH your attack, slamming his left fist into your face! “Wh-Whaa-?! GUYAAH!!”

Again his strike staggers you back, Cooler launching into a flurry of attacks. You defend yourself best you can, stopping maybe one in three attacks as your brother unloads on you. His strikes are heavy, stronger than even your father's when he took you for 'correctional education' after the whole Planet Namek debacle. They're the strongest strikes you've ever taken, but in the middle of his unrefined attack you find your opening! Taking your chance, you throw everything you've got into a powerful right, fist slamming square into his face once more. But, unlike last time, this time your strike doesn't even BUDGE him!

“Wh-What?!” you exclaim, Cooler simply smirking at you smugly. This catches you so off guard that you take an uncertain step backwards, then another.
“Didn't I tell you, little brother? The Big Gete Star has made me immortal.” Cooler says, taking your own very smug, arms spread wide stance as he looks down on you. “It monitors my body constantly, identifying not only when I take damage and repairing it, but reinforcing my design so the same attacks won't work to hurt me again. Or, in simpler terms for you, you cannot destroy me.”

“Hmph. You place too much faith in this 'Gete Star' that has turned you into a walking trash can.” you reply, clenching your fists and powering up to one hundred percent. “I shall show you the difference in our strengths!”
“By all means, do your best.” he replies, still as insufferably smug as ever. “Your futile struggle only serves to make me stronger!”
“I won't be bested by you, brother! SHYAAAAAAA!!” you roar, focusing on drawing out every scrap of power from deep within. Your golden aura blazes, power climbing by the second as you unleash one hundred percent of your might.

“I shall once and for all prove that I am superior to you, little brother! HAAAAAAAA!!” Cooler bellows, his own Golden aura blazing. And much to your dismay, at least judging by his aura, he does seem to be stronger than you He then leaps into the air, raising a hand and creating not one but THREE of his planet-destroying Supernova orbs overhead as you throw your arms wide, gathering your own ki for your counter attack. His orbs each grow massive, leaving you unsure if you can stop them all and save not only this planet, but Karn and his team still fighting the insect-like Hive creatures. But then, right as you begin to despair, it happens.

Suddenly, Cooler's eyes widen in shock as his entire body tenses up, and from the left side of his head electricity begins dancing out. Then there's some sort of internal failure of his metal body, the plate around his left temple exploding out in a spray of sparks and wires. Cooler clutches his head around the sudden weak point, aura vanishing from around his body entirely. Leaving your brother no longer focused on you, giving you one shot to take him down. Which you gladly take, throwing both arms forward together and merging your ki. The dual energies merge, power magnifying several times over as you brace yourself, taking aim at his body. It's now or never!

“FINAL FLASH!!” you roar, throwing everything you've got at your brother's form. He hears or senses you one, throwing his other hand down and sending the three orbs your way. They merge together at the midpoint between you and him, his triplicated attack slamming into your unstoppable golden beam. Karn's technique pushes back against Cooler's attack, and with his body failing is unable to push the attacks back against you. Your golden beam punches through the world-breaking orb after several seconds, then consumed your brother entirely. He screams out in what sounds like either rage or pain for a few seconds, voice trailing off as he's completely obliterated. You pour everything you've got into that one attack, leaving you gasping as you end the technique and drop to a knee. But, looking up as the smoke clears, you can see that you've done it: that Cooler is no more.

“Excellent work, I'm bringing you back now.” Towa calls into your ear telepathically, when suddenly there's a flash of light before you. And a familiar face reappears.
“Not yet.” you reply, immediately tapping into the demonic seal she'd given you as the Time Patroller's hair immediately goes crimson. Demonic strength surges throughout your body, giving you the strength to rise once more and face the halfbreed Saiyan who'd dare attack Karn's daughter unprovoked. “There's still a debt that must be paid. And paid in his blood!”

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 188 Epilogue End-

>>5520045
For a hyper advanced super-computer, it sure can't design anything that doesn't fucking blow up at the worst possible time. Good epilogue GD.
>>
>>5520045
every time I see the final flash I forget that in this timeline Karn was the one who made it. I would ask if xeno vegeta is kind of mad we stole his move but I don't think we've ever used it while fighting the time patrol.
>>
>>5520068
Cooler powered up too quickly and overheated his body, stressing his body beyond its limits.
>>5520076
He wouldn't mind, just validates his technique that someone else uses. Besides, he would think it was something you'd picked up from one of him in your time travels.
>>
Ultra Ego Black Freeza when, lol?
Trunks has had it easy, picking on Karn's timeline when they've all only had lower-level transformations (SS3, Berserker 2, etc; though Freeza's gold at least has been 'higher-level'), plus Supervillain. Now that this timeline is about to start pulling out the divine forms and really ramping up power-wise, he's got to be waking up every morning with a knot in his guts.

Meloka's got to be more of an Ultra Ego sort of girl, doesn't she?
>>
>>5520094
How mindblown would Vegeta be if he found out we didn't steal his move? Or the crazy shit Meloka does? Would he secretly try to steal some of her moves?

>Ultra Ego Black Freeza when, lol?
May not be combinable forms. But yes, Karn is going to be more involved with the Time War raging on once he's mastered his next form.
And quite potentially. The patrons got a very nice story of a potential future of Ultra Ego Meloka vs a certain body-snatching villain.
>>5520107
Not very, as he's seen quite a few techniques in his time as a Patroller. Potentially.
>>
>>5520107

no but goku is probably stealing every teuqnique not nailed down. basterd has exactly one truly original move
>>
>>5520117
Okay, but would he ever consider our energy body technique? He would really fucking benefit from it.
>>
>>5520179
He won't even be aware of it until he sees a Broly try to deck us and subsequently break his hand.
>>
>>5520179
honestly it would be far more useful for Super Vegeta then Xeno Vegeta IMO, it adds to his overall HP and gives him massive super armor, which is really really nice with his ultra ego shit.
>>
>>5520120
He's taken quite a few.
>>5520179
He's learned -A- barrier technique.
>>5520191
He's most certainly seen it, even if only as Vegito.

>>
>>5520328
Potentially. To think he cut down Frieza all those years ago and he gets put right back in his place in the here and now. Or whatever is a here and now for a time traveler.

On a semi related note, does Trunks ever wish we abandoned the green monkey power? And does he know its about to get even WORSE? If not, I want to see the LOOK on his face when he sees THAT form in its true power.

That's the power of wildly alternating timelines. A lot of things went right for King Vegeta the IV. And the Saiyans in general. And Ubo. And Raven. And probably Bane. A lot of our allies would be potentially fucked if things went the canon way and Karn died back during the planet vegeta days before the whole super saiyan thing
>>
>>5520403
I just realized, we've never actually gotten a gift for Frieza after all he's done for us.
Yeah, we've given him friendship and a much needed attitude adjustment, but no symbolic gestures or tokens of appreciation.
I'm not saying they're inherently necessary, but I would like to get him a gift at some point.
The only problem is that I have no idea what gift would be in-character for Karn and appropriate for Frieza. Gonna have to rack my brain a bit...
>>
>>5520888
.....get him a home made gym equipment.
>>
>>5520908
I feel like he already has a high spec gravity chamber. That's also the same reason I don't want to get him something like wine or anything else he already has the best of.
I was actually thinking of something along the lines of a band to wear around his arm, the idea being that Karn would have a matching one. It's something that's uniquely Saiyan (as far as PTO uniforms go) and it would symbolize our bond as comrades.

I only said that’s how you’re cooking. You may be giving SKoT more credit than her INT stat deserves.
>>5520635
True. But he was far lower at this point in canon, hadn’t even gotten the Kaio-Ken yet.
>>5520717
There are two. But considering one is WITH Karn, not against him...
>>5520718
Yes. Having the Super Saiyan appear early and blindly loyal to himself, Freeza wasn’t threatened into destroying Vegeta out of fear and instead kept them around.
>>5520888
What would you ever give someone who owns everything, including YOUR planet? Besides, Karn gave him the one thing he never had before: a friend. Which is something sorely missed by the emperor right now, something he can’t figure out how to fix. Especially with his father’s ‘help’.
>>5520908
Ha
>>5520925
Would be seen as too close to a wedding band by him, but he’d appreciate the gesture. And feel even worse about his actions
>>
>>5520940
>I only said that’s how you’re cooking. You may be giving SKoT more credit than her INT stat deserves.
Well, maybe, but giving her dog a bitch is possibly just enough for her to come up with.
I got it, we'll take Freeza out to go fishing.
>>
>>5520940
>Which is something sorely missed by the emperor right now, something he can’t figure out how to fix
Sometimes I forget how maladjusted Frieza is. I hope he realizes soon that there's no magic reset button and he's just gonna have to earn Karn's trust back over time.
>>
Since I'm not gonna beat the gay allegations after floating the gift idea, I'll just ask.
Is our timeline's Frieza noticeably bulkier than most given that he's actually being training (semi)regularly for years?
>>
>>5521565
He'd better. I'm pretty sure he could walk around in final form 100% as if it were nothing these days. Infact, I have to ask the question: GD, is our Frieza walking around in his "Final" Form or is he still in the impish First Form? If its the latter, why does he even entertain the chance of being taken out due to being in a lower form in the first place?
>>
>>5521658
I'm fairly certain he's just walking around in his "Final" form all the time now, having acclimated to it some time ago.
The real question is whether or not he still wears clothes.
>>
>>5521667
I mean, even if he wasn't, who would tell him off about it? His family? Cooler walks around "naked" too and King Cold never batted an eye about it. His friend Karn? He BENEFITS from the nude boost and does it regularly. The common rabble? Which of them would have the balls and zero regard for their mortality?

>>5521565
Bulkier? Not much. But he does APPEAR so due to hus much better definition
>>5521658

>>
>>5521775

>>
>>5520637
A fight autist isn't going to bother with concepts like sex. But then again that's Goku, Kakarot could be someone completely different. Either way, a real disappointment compared to how Raditz flourished in this quest.

>>5520718
Yeah, it's really nice to see the changes and how radical things went. It's just baffling to not see the poster child of "Don't judge someone by their beginning potential" hasn't really bloomed or come into his awakening as a fighting prodigy. I feel sorry for Bardock.

>>5520940
Doesn't matter f he's stronger than Goku in the beginning if he lacks the latter's fighting ability and martial skills. Feels right now he's not really applying himself and just coasting on easy mode. Say what you want about that moron, but at least he was a frighteningly formidable adversary worth admiring.
>>
>>5521792
Ha
>>5522083
He was never going to become Goku in this quest. His upbringing was entirely different.
He has awakened to more of his ultimate potential than he had at an equivalent ‘canon’ point. And why feel sorry? The man has two of the strongest sons amongst his entire race.
He does lack canon Goku’s technique, but not his fighting instincts. He was raised by a soldier, not a martial artist

>>
>>5522150
It's never whether or not Goku would be Goku in terms of character or personality. Merely fighting capability. Again, I don't expect him to be a martial arts wiz, especially with how brawler-happy kid Goku was back in the day. It's just weird not seeing the same vibe of essentially the universe's ultimate warrior (Get fucked Gohan) in Kakarot. Many others got better showing compared to canon, and I acknowledge that he's strong. It just doesn't feel like he's really flourishing if his older brother could tap into SS3 of all things. But that might be the elder's credit more than Radditz's talents. Idk. And admittingly, I'm still shell-shocked by his performance in the tournament.
