You are Sidridijika [The Harbringer of Miracles] the white Magus, a crystal dragon. A young one, hatched in the early spring two months ago. Not a wyrmling anymore.
Your defining features are your Arcanic affinity; the legacy of your draconic ancestor, your Presence; inherent to your crystaline blood, and Strategy prowess, developped since you are an hatchling thanks to a cabinet filled with miniatures of soldiers from all the world's armies and a book detailling their forces and weaknesse; gifted reluctantly by your Mother.
You started a conflicting relationship with your litter. However, circumstances made you closer as you had to team up to survive the dreaded dragon hunters, which killed Father. Now you only have your prized crystal necklace as a memento: an extraplanar space you can fill with your own things, allies, or even unwilling enemies after an arcanic push.
What about Mother? Well, let's not talk about Mother.
Now you have bounded as a pack with Little green, the hard headed and tough fighter emerald dragon, Little Purple, the cunning and tinkering Amethyst dragon and Little blue, your favorite, alchemy-gifted, fighting-deficient, mind-reader favorite sister.
You luckily found really fast a location suitable for a lair worthy of your Pandraconium : a fallen dwarven hold, invaded with skavens, home of a Griffin and her cubs, which now have left the nest.
You are slowly tuning it to your taste and need, with the crafting of the three-moon astrolabus and the first field, effort to stabilize food production and not rely on hunt too much.
You drive out most of the skavens, with the help of chaos warrior you tricked to fight for you until their death, then become friend with the monster of the third floor.
You recruited nearby humans to serve as canon fodder against the rat tide coming right for your lair. The humans were lead by a young noble, Hector.
Your alliance destroyed the invading forces, killing the hundred skavens with only two lancers down. Hector tamed one of the griffin cub, named it Vaillant, and went on his own adventures while your larder was filled to the brim.
You then acquired your first inhabitant, an human girl named Agathe you healed from a condition crippling her mental abilities.
>>
Troubling your new calm, an elven squad was swiftly disbanded before a whole army came knocking at your door. The elven prince made diplomatic excuses, giving you elven runes secret and tutelage of a dragon which conduct the name-granting ceremony.
Your siblings are named Verthicha (The Mountain), Throdenslemoni (Of Many shapes), and Wanotreyxkaiv (The Princess)
In the meantime, Hector put himself in deep trouble and you mounted a rescue operation. Using your draconic knowledge, you gift him a scale, turning him into your Guardian. He is now on a quest for useful things for your hold, such as Cattle. You promised him magical-enhanced gear as a reward.
On an attempt to learn how to craft such magical gear, you found an old dwarven runemaster, Borri Ironbrow, that moved in your hold to teach you his ways. Your brother prepared fields; your blue sister created a diplomatic incident with the inhabitents of the nearby village, now pretty sure you are evil, and only want to enslave them and replace their King.
That's a complete misconception, as you are good guys that only want to feudalize them and become a longer-lasting King. They'll learn from that mistake soon enough.
Your other sister... have been gone for a while. You're unable to scry her location and whereabouts; and you're getting worried.
Hector is also gone for a while. Your link allows to keep tabs on him, and the various villages he met can't grant him the glorious quests he wishes so much for; only menial labor to earn his daily bread.
You're body have changed. You are mightier. Bigger. But that comes at the cost of learning slower...
Under the guidance of your dwarven master, you learned how to harvest the magic made liquid of the second floor's fountain. It is full for now, holding ten doses of fixative that will regenerate over time.
As it would be a waste to keep it full, your master allowed you to try striking your first rune under his guidance...

Hector is just a trouble magnet isn't he? While that *is* a protagonist trait, he has to get way better at the miracle thingy (not that we didn't fail in our attempts as well, but still) to able to consider himself one.

>>5380390
>what kills you makes you stronger
Kek.
Although that was true for me, I don't think I would suggest it to anyone else.

----
Now let me address a couple things from the previous thread:
>>5379232
>Could the light absorbtion spell be used to restore our mana?
>Like, we could try to cultivate some of our crystals to absorb some Sunny-D, then we'd carry those wherever we go until we need to absorb some sun juice
>>5379279
>Regarding the crystal use as battery...
>You will have to try it :)
Hehehe, if we succeed, I can already feel "Magical Photosynthesis" in our future.

>>5379250
>Or better yet if we could create healing grenades to heal multiple people at once
>weaponizing healing, although with good intentions
I'm just gonna throw this idea in the air, and sorry in advance for it'll be a bit horrifying:
Using healing to kill - Basically "healing overdose", overhealing the target to cause rapid cell division, essentially inflicting the target with cancer, do it strong/fast enough and they will become just a blob of tumors with probably just a few seconds left to live.
t. The Anon who came up with the Miracle idea.

PS: Here's a horrifying dragon to go with the horrifying idea.
>>
>>5380401
That is old Grand Grand Grandpa. He worshiped Cthulu or some such nonesense. Now eat your veggies and go out there and get that Shoggoth off our farm
>>
>>5380412
>Using healing to kill

So giving your enemies super Cancer. I think the healer Hero explored that concept.
>>
>>5380412
That depends on how the healing magic works, because its magic it might simply be a case of "return the body to an undefined "not injured" state" rather then being science'y over it. And I'd ever kind of prefer it like that, weaknesses and restrictions make things interesting, much more so then being able to use healing magic to kill them. You want offence we'l have to figure that out, and Sidri will probably be less proficient with it then the healing.
Which is a good thing.
>>
>>5380425
I think I remember a Isekai where the protagonist is a healer being released at some point, is that what you're talking about?

>>5380429
Personally, I really enjoy OP characters, hence why I like animes like One Punch -Man, Overlord, Hellsing, Bofuri, among others, but don't worry, I'm not endorsing the idea, just throwing it. Besides, considering how the healing in this quest is represented by "mending glass", I didn't think it would be possible anyways.
>>
>>5380453
Nah Dude. I was talking about one where the Main Character was reincarnated after being abused... i think it was Redo of Healer

https://kaiyari.fandom.com/wiki/Kaifuku_Jutsushi_no_Yarinaoshi_Wiki

The Beginning was alright but then it just devolved in my opinion into more and more stupid stuff for what felt like padding and i then just dropped it.
>>
>>5380453
Overpowered is one thing, and practically a given since we are god damn dragon being the first-among-equals with three more dragons!

The difference is being a one-trick pony: If one spell/kind of magic solves everything it becomes dull. Every answer will be "We can use healing here" instead of "Well we are a dragon with a fairly wide range of magical abilities, any good ideas?"
I'd also point out that from a character perspective Sidri has, so far, preferred going in for melee or using his breath weapon. Not saying we have to keep doing that but it would be a pretty hefty change out of nowhere.

Like I said: Restrictions and weaknesses makes it interesting, and defines characters. Because then you have to apply the skillset they have creatively rather then using the one thing that always solves the problem.
>>
>>5380458
Ohhh, that one. I'm surprised you had the guts to even start it.

>>5380462
I got your point, but I appreciate the further elaboration.
>>
>>5380468
I would be lying if i said I liked it.... I just thought it held promise for a while.

But it just continued devolving with Pointless Violence and sexualized Characters. At some point i had just reached the point where i wanted to strangle the sorry Excuse for a little Bitch that is supposed to be the Main Character but the Beginning held some interesting Problem Solving Solutions. Or maybe that is just my brain trying to justify why i read that trash.
>>
>>5380473
I understand the feeling.
Thankfully, I dodged that bullet.
>>
"Alright, lad. You should have enough theory. The only missing thing is practice. You von't learn much by vatching; go an' I'll guide you"
First, you need the fixative. You got a bucket of it, two doses of a metallic-light liquid magic.
You pour a bit of material on the gauntlets you looted long ago, ready to shape it as you need. And you feel a tingle on the link you share with Hector. Hunger and overall weakness.
That disturb you, pouring all the content of the bucket. Metal warps and crumble on itself, before exploding in a dark power sparkling of blue mana.
What's up with Hector? Nothing much. Looking for a village to help, he only walked on ruins. Nobody to help, no food to find.
It's been a month, Guillot and him were assisted by Vaillant to hunt small game. But they've been less and less lucky and are currently in a week without getting anything.
They have been sitting under a tree since several hours, and don't have the strength to resume their journey...
Divination flash. Rat scouts are incoming. Why? And why now? With the poor luck you've got currently they'll stumble right onto a ghoul patrol, lead by one of the undead knight you fought last time you had to bail Hector...
They've been looking for your human since a couple week. Looks like you didn't killed anybody that day...
A glimpse on the future shows it's indeed a possibility.
"You alright, lizardling?
- Visions, masterrrr. Trrroubles..."
>Priority is the Vampire, or more likely staying hidden to them. Kill the rats in the wild before any chance of setting an undead crusade.
>Priority is stopping the skavens from coming back. Preparing an ambush in the hold, and maybe incept them some ideas with the psy powers of your sister?
>Priority is Hector. You won't let that guy starve to death.
>>
>>5380575
Awww shit..... We cant leave Green alone to watch over this place if the Rats are coming back....... And we cant continue bailing Hector out shit... The Vampires are also a Problem.

>Priority is the Vampire, or more likely staying hidden to them. Kill the rats in the wild before any chance of setting an undead crusade.
>Send Hector a Windmessage that if he has not found food within the Next week you will bail him out by getting him some stuff but he will need to take some time to recover afterwards for so little food can not be good for them or Vaillant especially Vaillant.
>>
>>5380582
To be completely clear... You saw his future of last week. 90% of the time he got out of the situation alone. But beast herd changed course for a really improbable reason (Blue yawning one second more, changing so-lightly atmospheric pressure. A cloud formed differently, and used as a different path omen from the herds shaman, destroying another village where Hector could have found a meal against cutting wood). Delaying him anymore would risk his death, alongside Guillot.
They prioritized feeding Vaillant, Noblesse Oblige.
>>
>>5380626
argh shit..... Can Blue go out and bring him some Rations?

I take it Purple is still busy. So we would have to go out alone to murder the rats.... which i think we can do if it is just scouts.
>>
>>5380575
Do the psy powers with the sister, try and see if she can pit the skaven against the vampires.
White will go retrieve Hector so he can resupply on rations and maybe recover from his journey. Dumb fuck should had at least stayed to learn heal, or kept some of our healing salve on him. We can't concentrate with him being near dead, b-baka!

>>5380632
Why not regroup with Hector and make a plan to kill both the vampires and the skaven?
>>
>>5380632
She can try. Missing your divination and link, she might miss him or get lost. Think of that stupid Grey's anatomy plotline where they fail to find a crashed plane on US territory for 3 weeks
>>
>>5380646
that could work as well if we can make it fast enough to him and back.

I like your Psi Idea and would like to know our exact situation on the thing.

>>5380649
ah okay.... then Blue could stay and draw up plans together with Green while we grab Hector to make sure he survives. Never watched Greys Anatomy.
>>
>>5380650
Depending on if we can reach Hector before the vampires find him, or the skaven reach the fortress, having him, his friend, and even Valliant around could be useful for dealing with either the vampires or rat scouts. If we're fast enough, we might be able to kill/capture the skaven scouts, then deal with the vampires. Question is if Hector would be so prideful to ask that he 1v1 the vampire again without help. The longer he puts his pride on the line, the more people the vampire will kill with it's continued existence.

>>5380649
aforementioned point on the vampire i'd like to bring up with Hector if the vote is to go get him, in addition to the speech check a while back in thread #2. "Pride commeth before the fall" and trying to get Hector to be a bit smarter.
>>
>>5380575
changing my vote from >>5380582
to >Priority is Hector. You won't let that guy starve to death.
>Ask blue to start drawing up plans to either capture the Skaven or have them collide with the Vampire and plans for useful tools to defend the hold from those possible attackers.
>>
>>5380575
>>Priority is Hector. You won't let that guy starve to death.

On the bright side its going to be real easy to convince him to give up everything for us after all this.

Now lets see.
>Skaven are back
>Undead are bumbling around

Right, beastmen. We need to get that going but Lemoni is still busy. Hm. Hm.
Can we send out Kaiv to try and find a tribe of them? She's a mindbugger, right, so might be able to more easily find the more or less intelligent thoughts of them compared to trying to see through the forest.
>>
>>5380737
>Can we send out Kaiv to try and find a tribe of them?
I think we should help her improve her diplomacy and presence before she tries anything. I think so far White might have the strongest social skills. Once she has at least 4 or 3 ranks, she should be good to go, but we should probably go with her since our DC for first time diplomacy is a 10 thank's to the Friendly trait.
>>
>>5380748
We don't need diplomacy right now. We need the means to fight off invaders, which are massing.

Once there is a need for it we can start employing her in that capacity, but right now we are closing in on a full on crisis since the damned village abandoned us, so we need to deal with that rather then doing what is optimal for the very long term.

Speaking of; what do you all also think of the idea I had for the village in the last thread? Should we try to convince Vertch to help us curse their crops?
>>
>>5380752
We dont actually need magic to curse the villages fields though. Enough Salt should do the trick. But we should try out if Ver can extract the Slat from the ground before we literally salt their Earth.

Getting salt should be not too difficult. We are in the Mountains with a bit of luck we can find rocksalt
>>
>>5380752
Maybe? I think after we kill the vampires and skaven, we should help Blue practice her diplomacy and unfuck our rapport with the village, and also get them to aplologize with throwing a rock at her. That was very mean.
We also need to unfuck the problem of her actually using her NAME in conversation. If word gets out that she spoke her name, or if any of the villagers say her name, that could have some bad implications. Know a dragon's name is like, really bad or something, right?
>>
>>5380762
That is one way to do it, yes, perhaps a little less supernatural if they suddenly find salt or notice dragons spreading them... But yea, that would definitely be one way to do it. Good thinking

>>5380765
Yes, yes we should. We should make their crops wither, send in Lemoni undercover to blame the healer and mother who shouted at Kaiv and work them until they give up/sacrifice these traitors who fucked everything up for them. Then Kaiv can go in and turn into *our* people.

Becasue we are not getting the village back by being nice to them, or hoping everything works out. We will need to work for it, and do it in some rather shady ways.
>>
>>5380575
>Priority is Hector. You won't let that guy starve to death.
can we go one day without Hector and co almost dying? Also where the fuck is purple?
>>
>>5380788
Still out on her mythical quest to get us a fucking Shitton of high Quality Magical Fixatives. Maybe some Dragonbones, Vampire Ashes. The Skull of a Demon Lord or something similar with her Critical from last time.

Can we include the griff momma and the dwarf runesmith in on the plan? I hope the old man has some insight on how to kick shaven butts!

What's the dwarf's name, and what's his opinion on our avian neighbor?
>>
>>5380822
So I just checked, and the main instigators that we don't like are the "sacred" village healer, and the old woman of the son that died on the ballista. So just two people mainly. We could easily debunk their claims of us being chaos spawn and renew our rapport.
>existing rapport with people we've saved and healed
>rapport with the guards that helped us fight off the skaven vouching for us
>good word from Sir Hector has more weight than some dumb elderly crone of a woman
>ask them why their oh so great king didn't send healers to them when some of their people were dying
>reverse uno the old lady for not using her healing power on the others. She might have been sick, but that doesn't excuse her for trying to help the town
>old lady can't say shit to us because no one explained that she knew out to heal people
>if we were really chaos affiliated, we wouldn't had healed her at all, and excused that her condition was too terminal to do anything about it
>Hector's words are worth more than the old ladies
>they can't call him a heretic or chaos worshipper without risking angering nobility and getting themselves hanged
I like to think these are good points.
>>
>>5380950
or we could just say we won't help them again if they wanna be little dickheads
Also, can't we like ask the elves for help and shit? They have been proven to be bitches and I am sure having a stronghold filled with 4 dragons who are clearly against the forces of Chaos may be a good ally for them.
Also also, since Green is a neet now can't we just make him defacto master of arms and give him a couple dozen books on defensive strategy and just let him pimp this place out?
>>
>>5380955
I'd rather have friends than enemies, and the issue isn't something impossible for us to recover from, it's pretty easy to fix really.
We could ask the elves for help, but they would want something in return. Kinda a mixed bag.
>green
>strategy
>stubborn trait
uuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh
>>
>>5380960
If we can get back on our terms before than I guess its no problem, as for the elves I think befriending them more would be good for the future. As for Green... yeah just let him build more shit for us
>>
>>5380966
Green comes off as a guy that would enjoy games like Harvest Moon or animal crossing more than RTS games. Good point on the elves. Perhaps once we learn to be sufficiently proficient with enchanting, we could give them a paultry gift, like a White gem trenchgun.
>>
>>5380972
Since Green is going to be staying in the hold I rather he spends his time making sure that the lair won't get shit on in the future.
>>
>>5380978
Of course of course. He could probably spend his time playing IRL farming sim, building fortifications, or make world wonders by making giant statues. The latter to keep his brain stimulated so it doesn't get smoother.

>>5380822
another reason to hopefully reduce diplomacy DC
>if we were chaos spawn, then their village would had been ruined already. clearly we're not.
If we were chaos, the guards that helped us would had probably started doing cultist stuff like summoning monsters or blood rituals. If they try to blame us, they have to blame their friends and family as well
>clearly its the old lady what's a chaos worshipper since she's trying to sow discontent
>the other old lady is just really sad that her son died from an unfortunate a ballista accident. She shouldn't vent on our sister by throwing rocks. She gets a pass though. Just this once. Maybe a hug.
>>
>>5380822
do lesser dragonoids like wyverns exist? Like, dumber, weaker versions of dragons?
>>
>>5380990
Let me understand you correctly:
>Villagers are convinced you are a sinister monstrum out to conquer them and murdered someone to hide this
>Kaiv confirms as much, saying that it would be "mutually beneficial"
>They throw stones and in so doing assault our sister
But its alright guys, we can still talk this out!

Yes we do need to blame them, both of them, but first there must be something to be blamed for. If they do this, nothing happens, and nothing goes wrong then why would anyone turn on the women who "defeated" and "bravely fought off" a dragon`?
But if things start going wrong, crops begin to wilt, people get sick, a red moon in the middle of the day. Pick your favorite of omens and impending catastrophes then people will start thinking to themselves "Yea, ok, maybe we fucked up..." And that's when you offer the scapegoat to return to our good graces and their newfound problems are solved.
>>
>>5381360
Actually it was the 1 rock, by 1 old lady, who's son died during the siege. just the one.
All this plotting seems overly complicated. Why not just one and done a Presence check and be done with it?
>>
>>5381366
"Hey guys, this bossfight seems overly complicated, why not just a one and done fight check and be done with it"

"Hey guys, this healing Agathe seems overly complicated, why not just a one and done healing check and be done with it?"

"Hey guys, This battle with the skaven seems overly complicated, why not just a one and done strategy check and be done with it"

Because it doesn't work like that and thank *undefined dragon gods* that it doesn't.

Gathering all winds, you shoot to all the fort's dwelvers...
"FAMILY COUNCIL"

Two minutes later, you're all around the council table.
"Hectorrr is in trouble an--
- Again? Weakling. My champion, not trouble Outside.
- Because they won't get outside?
- Irrelevant? Only results.
-Anyway. I need to get him. Agathe, please prepare some food. The idiots are starving. Verthicha, I need you to handle a rat pack coming knocking. Master, any improvements on your side project?
"Almost there; not ready yet."

Agathe packed you several litters of soup in a barrel, and jerky strips. That girl is a godsend; little help here and there have made your life so much easier. You even take out this morning's deer liver, a fresh treat for Vaillant.
>Flight Critical, 3 success.
It takes you less than half a day to reach their position. You're bigger, you soar higher, and you found a nice stream just in the right direction.
"Hector... I think I'm starting to see things...
- I'm seeing it too...
- Is he the real deal?
- ... Not sure..."
Damn, this was really a close call. His consciousness is dwindling across your link.
"Food deliverrrry. On a side note, you'rrrrre coming back with me. Not going out until you'rrrre prrroperrrly trrrrrained."
They feasted in your necklace on the trip back. You're pretty concerned about the undead.
A quick divination shows they didn't found anything for now. One thing less to worry about in the short range. You're concerned enough about your sister missing for so long. And there is the whole village matter...

Green created a pit linked to swift sands. You now have ten-ish skavens in a hole.
Blue tried to get in their mind. Skavens are not the most resilient species, so this should have been easy. It was not, and your skaven in a hole are panicked. In less than a day, they'll start eating each other.

>What to do about the skaven?
>What kind of training for Hector? (Healing, Divination, Survival, Crafting...)
>What's the plan for the village? (Ignore, Diplomatic, Calamity)
>>
>>5381406
>What to do about the skaven?
Don't really know, but we can't have them eating each other as that's waste of food, so I guess kill all the others for stock and try to fuck with the remaining one's mind again, as the fear may leave it more susceptible?

>Hector
Survival is a must, but as the first emissary of the "Divine Dragon of Miracles", healing should probably be something he should have.
So I'm voting healing for now.

I vote for >>5381360's idea.

This is just a Threat. We will likely still eat them but not boiled alive. Just let them simmer on that one a bit.

>Hector will be trained in Divination to hopefully avoid situations like this in the future.

As for the Village >>5381360

Healing, always useful and always applicable.

Just as these >>5381428 >>5381419 fine Anons I too support my idea, tho I'd remind everyone that a big part is to send in Lemoni, as the shapeshifter she is, to steer the general mood of the people in the right direction rather then just hoping they come to the conclusions we'd like.

got some time to answer things right now...
Name is not that big of a deal actually. Really powerful people will have ways to mess up with you with or without your name. The big danger at the time was having someone name you (think a malevolent Hector naming Green as his Faithful Hound...)
>>5380028
Runes DC is 15. Copy paste from last thread :
>DC is 2 point lower while crafting an item. The biggest difficulty is getting a magic fixative. The elves left three doses. Suppose you roll for enchantment. On a failure, you lost a dose. On a success, you can expend one dose for one rune. On a double success, two dose for an higher level rune or two dose for two basic level rune or one dose for a basic level rune.
However, this does not answer the mixing rune system case...

"The winged-snake thing just talk-talk.
- Winged-snake thing no-no danger.
- Me wait. Time has come-come, me ride-ride winged-snake thing" that one get punched in the back of the head.
Looks like they don't fear not respect you. Like the villagers. That cut deeper than expected.
Let's teach them a dragon is true to his word. You blast one light breath to teach them respect. And all hell broke loose in the pit.
"Winged-snake thing danger-danger!
- Winged-snake thing kill-kill us all!"
- ... Wanotreyxkaiv, try your thing please.
>>5381471
>Brain-grope failure
- No way. They were already scrambled before, now they can't align two thoughts."
Why does NOTHING FRICKIN WORKS NOWADAYS? You rain deathly rays in the pit. First, Hector is the most useless knight of knight history. Then, the village assaulted your precious sister. Your other siser is missing in action for way too long, you makes almost no progress in learning enchantment.
A deep thought, from your legacy, whisper an idea...
"Hoard. The hoard is not growing. A dragon needs precious things to thrive..."
Perfect. The goldlust is creeping up. As if you need that. Quick, a distraction. Teaching Hector. That will do. You grab Agathe along the way. That sweet thing deserves it. Guillot follows, you don't care.
>>
>Innate skill of Magic :
>>5381477
>>5381486
>>5381492
You take one of the barely alive skavens remaining after your little stress relief session.
"Allrrrright, humans... Watch. You need to tap in your innate mana rrrreserves and channel it to the tarrrrget's consciousnessssss..."
Today is not a complete waste. Both Hector and Agathe are displaying some skill toward the healing spell. They failed to do it properly, but nothing practice won't solve. Guillot is showing no skill toward healing whatsoever. After thirty minutes of focusing over nothing, you nicely tell him his magical gift is inexistant and to stop wasting both of your time. He gets up, and starts tuning his instrument.
Free practice time, after the skaven died from exhaustion of an attempt to mend a deep burn. Healing can do that? Looks expensive in mana amount. And time consuming. You advise your students to focus on what feel natural to them...
Agathe seems to have a natural inclination towards water. She raised an orb from a bucket, lost her focus. Before getting soaked, she instinctively raise a hand and project mana, in form of a barrier
>Failure
But it is too frail, and she ends up manaless and wet.
Meanwhile, you think you hear something from Guillot's strumming...
>Trait : Nascent Bard (Once per day, can roll Performance, with 15 minutes of "warming up". Success will provide Bardic Inspiration, decreasing DC by 1. Failure provides background music. Crit fails becomes distracting)
>Failure
He's onto something, but not definitive yet.
Hector draw his blade, and focus his light in it. That seems to work, for a couple seconds where his blade looks mighty enough to cut anything. And then power failure. They'll need more training, but still all displaying any kind of aptitude is way better than expected.

In the next day, you decide to...
>Keep the magic tutoring.

>Looks for riches
>Write-in

That sounds pretty reasonable. +1 this sentiment, or maybe 1 extra hour if that would be more productive. Eh, Guillot and Hector still need to train with our brother Green, to which he would probably love to wail on people.

Would Borri consider setting aside some time to teach us the dwarven language, or would that be a waste of his time here as it would be more productive to learn enchanting, where as we could just hire/recruit a different dwarf for the task?

>>5381634
having converted beastfolk as followers sound interesting, if we can bully the chaos worshipping out of their heads. I'm wondering if any beastfolk would have any domestic uses (farming, civilian, normal people stuff). I also want to know if they're all only carnivores, or are they omnivores but just choose to go after meat. If we can get them to get over their aversion to technology, we could have a powerful army if we ca equip them with decent shields and spears.

You start the day with your students. You don't have much time, so it's quite an express session...
>19, 17, 19
And your humans proved quite capable. They are all as ready as they can from theoretical training... Real magic is done in pain, stress and overwhelming pressure; no amount of training can replace the real difficulty of spellweaving in the middle of the chaos you call your daily life.
>Agathe learned Heal, Barrier and Shape Water
>Hector learned Heal and Light Blade
But the real surprise comes from the minstrel. You found your whole attention attracted to him. Not only his music was pleasant, their was also... Something else. It took you almost ten minutes to break the trance and open your third eye to gaze on a subtle wave weaved in the sounds...
>Bardic spell : Eye-catching. Interlacing magic to the music, become a magnetic center of attraction. Depending the context, it can last a few seconds (battlefield) or a full evening (Show with people willing to get attracted)

Once all of them have emptied their battery, time for your scheming and revenge. First, a bad omen... You can definitely cause a pseudo-eclipse, with your light-absorption spell. The hard part will be causing it without them noticing you. And sneak have never been your strong point.

Soaring high in the sky, you are in a perfect position for today's show. Guillot and Hector are the challenger to the hold's fightin machine, Verthicha.
It starts with your brother raising walls, trapping the knight and his sidekick. Vaillant, recognising an hopeless cause, roosted on the wall and chirps compassionately for each tail slam battering the unlucky souls more and more to a pulp.

As, once again, your attempt to switch your own scales optical properties to turn invisible by switching your color to the exact shade of the skies'. That doesn't work, and you feel it. Maybe you can dim the light going out if you with the light absorption spell?
>Critical Failure
That doesn't work as expected, instead turning you in the source of at least a thousand of rainbows.
Your feel something in your link with Hector. A shared sense of shame, aggravated by the complete lack of accomplishment of your bonded one. Which one is the most miserable? The one getting beat up under more rainbow that any goblin shaman saw in his shroom-induced dreams or the source of such rainbow in yet another failure to be unseen.

>"- I witnessed a miracle today. The dream of all princesses. A castle among clouds, butterflies and rainbows!"
Was that Blue, or a goblin high off of shrooms?

>Plan for the day
WHITE
The eclipse idea is a no do due to our crit range not playing nice with anything with 2 dice or lower. Scrap the eclipse idea and go for scolding (not intimidation). Use diplomacy/presence (whichever is higher) to restore current rapport with the villagers, get our guards back, and see if we can get the two mistrusting old ladies to understand us, AND to get at least an apology. Take Hector with you if that helps I guess.

GREEN
Either continue beating up White's silly humans or try using your earth magic to go find shiny rocks underground. Maybe you can make wind chimes out of them? You know, to make your lair extra cozy. That or possibly find ores. Maybe if you ask that dwarf he can make you some gold and silver bars!

BLUE
You are a PRINCESS, which means melee combat is BENEATH you. When Hector and Gulliot aren't busy getting beaten up, have them throw pinecones at you so you can practice DOGDING. The only thing wore than having to fight with your claws, is getting hurt like some plebian. Also pinecones hurt your feelings less.

PURPLE
Continue doing what you're doing, be a cool smooth criminal, but don't forget to bring back souvenirs. Maybe some fancy elven food? Like....MEAT IN BREAD! How crazy is that!?

HECTOR
Practice your swordsmanship against THE GREEN MOUNTAIN, learn how to heal when you can (it's like working a muscle), and try to gain a greater affinity with your light magic so you can slay YOU'RE ARCH NEMESIS!

GUILLOT
You need an active audience. Try playing songs for the big griffin and her cubs. Make sure to bring them one of the skaven so they don't eat you. Hey, maybe if you're lucky you might get a little griffin buddy of your own.

AGATHE
Make some steamed skaven meat dumplings with a bucket of mint infused water. Wanotreyxkaiv seemed pretty sad about having a rock thrown at her.

VALLIANT
Sit on Hectors head

Hector displayed a complete inaptitude with his sling, while Guillot performed surprisingly well

Your wind dome grant you a direct knowledge of anything flying, such as each aimed properly pinecone hitting your sister, too slow to dodge effectively.

I know our sister said the elf is a guy, but you can never be too sure. All elves look the same after all, with the exception of female elves having larger penises.

"ARE YOU FUCKING SHITTING ME?!?!"
Your scream is muffled by your claws grasping your eyes. First thing first. You coil your neck around Throdenslemoni's before slamming your forehead, from nose to horns, together. Above all, you're relieved she's back in one piece. Physically at least. You hope. Damn, could the guy use some mentalism magic to charm her? On way to find out... Confront your sister. If she insults you, she's herself. Else, it might mean trouble.
"YOU'RE NOT MATURE ENOUGH TO DATE, YOUNG LADY!
-I'm not dating, Sidridipshit. He's a boy, he's my friend. I was just precising his gender. Because it's less than obvious at first sight."
That's a relief... But why does Edwyrd looks as dumbfounded as you feel?
"Well, let's discuss something else. Care to tell us about your quest? Good news, we have some fresh skaven Jerky."
You let her lead the way. Mainly so you can keep your eyes on the guy sending you predator vibes. Mustering all your psychic power, you hammer a thought to the elf :
"If you try to do ANYTHING untoward my sister until she is an Adult I will have my Brother find a nice bucket for your remains and a nice Portal to dump you straight into Chaos itself."

"So, first things : their are three kind of elves. The one we already know, and I visited, are called the Highborn. Some renegades are named the Dread Elves. Both of them are a schism from the same peoples, sharing common ancestor with the Woodland Elves. Highborn and Dread are the sea master; their cities are built on Island for the first ones, floating towns on permanent clear weather zones for the second."

"Nice to know. So... How did you reached their island?
- I flight North, direction the elfs went. Then, I saw their ships sailing. It was simple : I anticipated their docking, then morphed into an elven form.
I invented an improbable sob story those suckers bought and I got a direct ticket to their island town.

- Carrre to elaborrrrate?
- Yeah, details!
- I don't really remember. It involved long-lost parents, me being obviously superior as an elf integrated in other societies, jumping from allegiance to allegiance to retrieve my long-lost people.
I was almost immediately accepted. As an outsider. So, elves are pompous pricks. They hate and despise everything that is not white with a tendency to blond hair, unless this is a mythical creature that is able to hold a conversation and eat them whole.
Anyway, they have a whole social ladder with me as someone not knowing her lineage is bottom of the barrel. Thus, I had to gang up with similar defects of society. Introducing my boy, Edwyrd.

- 'Sup.'"
>Edwyrd is a cunning and dexterous highborn elf.

Anyway, with that guy, we planned an heist for some fixative. The teacher was quite schemy about the origin of that powder. Turns out, it's some kind of silver tree's pollen.
These flowers are ripe with mana. And you know how elves are dwindling in numbers? Well, they need this pollen.

- To get in the mood? How peculiar...
Not quite, although the ones that experienced childbirth told me so... More like, it triggers their reproductive capabilities. Pregnancy is not impossible without it, but way more difficult and riskier.
This is, not surprisingly, the biggest secret of the whole species. And their declines comes from a diminution and loss of such trees.
We mounted an heist for this year's harvest. A successful one.

Edwyrd slams a pouch on the table. Judging on the weight, you have easily fifty doses. With that and the fountain, you are set for a good time. Right now, what you're lacking is stuff to enchant...
You're a bit relieved about the elf. Looks like he's been a circumstantial, and mostly reliable, ally. Their gang was made of six persons. Four of them died, your sister had to to show her hand to save the last one and the loot.
"And that's the story. Anyway, brought the guy back cause I thought about making him my guardian. What do you think?"

The man is reliable and skilled. Still, you really don't like how he is literally drooling while leering at her the whole time.

On some conditions....he's gotta teach Blue some Presence ettiequte as she's gonna be royal as fuck, and he's gotta tech us how to sneak better.
Wait where's their other member? Was Edward the last one, or was there one more? Care to bring him here too or are they too far?

>>5385568
>>5385570
Give the guy a break. Our sister is far from stupid and wouldn't suggest making him a guardian if she didn't think him worthy, and he's shown to be highly competent. Give him a chance, please? For Purple?
>>
>>5385645
I think the other gang member is our sister since it also said she had to save Edwyrd which was the last one.
Also, we are an older brother we have to be overprotective and I see nothing wrong with giving him a trial like >>5385570 said.
>>
>>5385660
And I agree with your sentiment, but the problem is hes already proven his competency with his heist of 50 fixitives. Hes already proven himself to Purple, and for him to be HER guardian, he had to prove himself to HER. Which he did. With the heist. So why does he have to prove himself to White when Purple wants him to be her guardian? Do we doubt that Purple is smart enough to choose for herself?
>>
Adding on to >>5385570 (and to some extent,>>5385669), we have an easy solution: Blue is psychic. If he has any sort of hidden agendas or allegiances, we can just have Blue poke around in his mind to ferret them out. If he's against it, we'll just have to take the long way around and let him stay on a more provisional basis, until we trust him enough for him to earn guardian status.

>>5385503
I honestly like this pic of Edwyrd better than the previous one. Final Fantasy character almost always look cool in my book. Can we ask Edwyrd if we can possibly grow our own tree then so we can harvest our own pollen? If we could do that, we could trade some to the high elves dudes, and have an additional supply fixitives we can fuck around with.
>>
>>5385503
>And their declines comes from a diminution and loss of such trees.
Instant boon get, with Verthicha's green claw we could possibly have a whole orchard of this stuff. Now if only if we can get our claws on some saplings or seeds.

Hmmmm. I wonder. Would it be at all possible for Sidridijika to combine his light and healing magic to create a Plant Growth spell? Something that could accelerate the rate of growth of plants? That'd be cool, specifically for things like fruit trees since those takes a few years to fully mature I think.

>>5386390
Green could try adding spikes and stuff to prevent people for using ladders like last time. Got any ideas, or should we leave the thinking to the QM?

I agree with Blue and Purple more or less, but what about training Hector and getting him enchantments? Now that Purple is here, White Blue, and Purple can focus on trying to learn how to enchant things.

I just think that White needs to let off some steam.

It gets blurry, because of the trauma...Things went wrong, a misstep from a crew member. Then a second. Guards alerted, gang members getting killed. Throdenslemoni had to change back, out of sight of the elves, to breath out a wall of force while Edwyrd packed the prize... >5 success, two crits
You rise, for an airborn recon helped with your third eye.
The two biggest building are occupied by... things. Radiating chaos. Most of them are crude deformation of former humans, twisted by chaos in a grotesque representation of one of the nature's most cute and amusing creation. It's really difficult to make out their exact numbers, as their aura seems to mix. Nothing to do in the west building, your prize is in the one north. The one with something else. Something way more dangerous. Amidst the abominations, there is a colossal being, almost 3 meter tall, delving in the hall just before the forge, and its load of ingots.
Its purple skin is donned with menacing spikes oozing with black ichor, and you can feel its attunement with one elemental path : the path of earth.
This chaotic being seems otherwordly to you. And the right word strike : a Demon. Unatural being, affiliated to one of the seven dark gods, or even Father Chaos himself. Immune to most damages, only magic, the gift of Mother Cosmos, can harm its essence in the material world of mortals.
There is no real way to scam your way out of a fight... Destroying the building, under a rain of stones or wildfire, will definitely result in the loss of the treasure. In one path, you see them corrupted by chaos, in one other, they are eaten by the demon before he's sent to his realm to avoid being trapped for centuries under the stone bed, in a last one the beast dig out for its survival, losing the treasure in the bowel of earth. Your best course of action is storming the building, and either take out methodically abominations before defeating the demon, or rush directly to the monster, swiftly defeat it, load the cart in the necklace and run out before the abomination notice.

Your "Miracle" name grants you 1 free success every time you succeed healing. The amount of "heal dice" remaining is the number of success over wounds you are healing : let's say you rolled 3 successes right now : you would had 4 of them, for two wounds, so 2 heal dice would remain for the day. You focus your energy to fix him. But his shape is untangible, despite your link.
"Stop moving!
- I'm trying to stay alive; is this really the time to do that?"
Your pride gravely hurted by this question, you double down...
>Double-crit fail
Nothing comes. That won't stop you. Not enough mana? You still have inner energy, the light fueling your breath and the blood fueling your body. After all, all the energy projected will come back to you once the link is established.

- Yeah... Why aren't you using your Light Blade spell?
- Put your blinder off! I'm keeping the energy for the fight against the demon. You told me that mere steel can't hurt the beast!"
Hector jumps out of the monster's range, lunges, dashes back again amidst Guillot shots, hitting the flesh without the creatures caring nor noticing.
"You're getting distracted, dragon! back at it!"
Well, you don't know how to feel about the human calling you out...

Hector is technically older than us, thus more knowledgeable and holds more....."relatively" some wisdom. I will give him that much. Seems he is growing stronger if he is able to carry our weigh. The bond is doing him well. (are we still bonded to him)?

try to use a little bit of energy drain on the fire to see if that can restore some of our reserves of magic, or use energy drain on the crystal from our lair. Can we eat the crystal?

Ask Guillot if he's proficient in bows or guns. We see where his strength lie and can possibly get him something like that.

>>5389607

Don't say that please. Nothing sucks more then owing your life to a mortal. Instead, "I owe you a deal of gratitude" would be more apt. Especially since we plan on making him some enchanted goods soon.

This crystal is grown from all your excess mana. As a magical being, you act as a sink of natural energy from both material and immaterial world. Adding to the fact the dwarven hold is built on a major nodes of leylines interception, according to Master, there is quite an excess to crystalize, even accounting for the presence of the whole zoo occupying the place. Turns out you're quite a natural at getting the energy back. Granted, it destroyed the crystal. Maybe you will be able to craft an enchantment later, a draconic one similar to your necklace, and create a Mana accumulator, let's call it a Manaccumulator?
>White restored to Full Health (3 success)

For hunting? Find a deer or something to slow roast and cook to medium and share with the humans. Disguising, but at least it would be free of parasite. More for their benefit than ours.

Plan? Divinition in the place to see if anything changed, if they set up any traps, rituals. Stuff along those lines.

If things are still just about the same, kill the remaining Wretches with CQC with Hector and Valiant while Gillout uses the sling, then go gank the demon with our purifying breath and Hector using his light blade. As the one who came up with the Miracle idea (and had a hand on the "Heavengazer"), the moment the QM mentioned the increased Crit Fail range, I knew it would spell doom for us, but democracy took action and here we are.

"Welcolm, human. I can offer you might, glory, and eternal life. Reject being a mere servant of that winged snake, turn it into a mount worthy of a chaos Herald!
- Not interested, monster. Better turn your head into a trophy.
- So you've chosen... Death"
The thing launches a flurry of poisoned tips, aimed at the three of you.

Hector performed a perfect double-moulinet, the tip of his sword plunging next to his left foot, rising on an arc protecting his whole left side, falling again perfectly in his median axis and toward his right feet in a motion symmetrical to his first parry. The afterglow of his glowing sword stays in the air, creating a light bubble intercepting all the projectiles. Then, Hector thrust. The bubble burst, and an horizontal light shard rain goes along the tip of the blade, biting the demon's hide.

Gathering the last of your mana, you try to cleanse the dark forge.
And that's almost impossible. The thing is radiating chaos energy, even denser than the warrior you used to take your fort.
You try to do the same on what is not a nail, but a failed decorative spike. The purified metal turns to metallic dust, as if chaos what was gluing it together.
You launch a glimpse at the demon's body.
Surprisingly, it is far more easier to purify. All its soft tissues seems to leak across the wounds and... orifices, letting beind the hide, spikes and bones. Chaos taint of that seems gone.
After another look, nothing looks valuable and the tools seems way too dangerous - infinitely more than the demon's remains.
Still, the fear of chaos contamination is too strong for you to take anything else than the ingots... >Time to fly home? Unless you want to do something else here...

Burn away all the taint, crystal breath everywhere, and for good measure use wild fire. After we're done with all the aberration we can take our untainted steel and head back home.

>>5390866
Not before we purify and destroy everything here. It would do us no good if some animals became tainted if they wandered inside, or some stupid human tried to loot the place only to become a chaos spawn.

Idea: if we cant purify it or destroy it, what we can do is collapse the building on top of it, and come back later to purify it when we're a little stronger.

Other aberrations, mainly wretches, remains.
It is quite simple, really. Hail a rain of stones and wildfire on the fort, burry the demon and his anvil, and let time confined in the material world deal with the taint, as it is done since immemorial times. It will only cost you your rock stockpile, that you can redo in a few hours, and half of your wildfire. Six could have been enough, but regarding chaos, better safe than sorry.
As you watch the flames burn and collapse on the damned soul, and think this is mercy, Hector interrupts your thoughts.
"It's a shame demon material are so dangerous... The thighbone, augmented with steel and adonned with the poisonous spikes would have made a greatmaul worthy of legends...
- By the way... Before dying, the demon stared right in my soul and offered me musical skills beyond any mortal's capacities. For the record, I told him to fuck off"
One last flight for dropping more rocks, and you're on your way, the uncorrupted steel secured. It's a few hours flight to get back to the hold, and the sun is already quite low
>>5382698
>Crit fails consequences
You're still two hours away from the hold. And three winged beast rises from the ground. Giant bats. Mounted with way too pale for being humans warriors.

Good Idea. Gulliot throws it at them with his sling and we ignite that shut with LLLAAAZZOORRR Breath
>>
>>5391310
I would totally give some crazy idea like:
Try to outfly them, send a telepathic message to Hector (if possible) telling him to ready his light sword and prepare to do an air strike, then fly over the "coward" and take Hector out, so he could just dropstab the vampire and land safely on the bat (and who knows, maybe even "drive" it, otherwise just go right back into the necklace until we get to the ground). But with our luck, he would just fall to his death.
That said, the "coward" is the most concerning one, because the chances of him bringing reinforcements or something are pretty high. It *could* also be a trap, but the little ambush right now is already kind of a trap, and a trap within a trap is unlikely. Maybe I'm just thinking too hard about it, but it being consequence of our light show makes me feel that they were just waiting to confirm that this really is our territory (although, if we are 2 hours away still, that decreases the chances of this being the case I guess) and then bring their main forces...

Anyways, I vote for >>5391332's plan.
>>
Sorry to rain on your parade, but that is not possible : wildfire is stored in quite big and heavy clay pots, is really unstable and burn on air contact. You don't even know how Blue pulled out to store them in the pots. That is to say, each pot is cannonballed-sized. Way out of the possibilities of a slingshot to propel, even Hector would have trouble to throw them more than 10 meters away.
You can still weaponize them in aerial fight by living your dream of becoming a reptilian Bombardier
>>
>>5391342
okay then lets try that. We don't even need to throw it really.
All we need to do is fly at the bats, hold a clay pot, then let go as we make a sharp turn away so the pot keeps it momentum and travels towards our intended targets.
>>
>>5391343
Ok. Before making you roll...
You want to focus coward or casters?
>>
>>5391345
Coward. He will try to alert his friends of our fort! But that's only my vote.
We'll head west, presumably the casters would have to try and catch up to us if they wsnt to land some accurate hits. If we can kill the messanger then we can focus on the other two.
If they manage to catch up to us, we can try tossing clay pots behind us and hope it hits one of them.
>>
>>5391345
I forgot that cqc isnt the only weapon we have. We have Presence, which we could to roar and maybe get the giant bat mounts to panic, or possibly give them penalties because I'm fairly sure these giant bats rely more on sonar than sight to travel, ergo roaring might hurt their poor ears. Do we have 3 or 4 ranks in presence?

[Will let the vote opened for longer, I want every regular to have a word on this vote]
>>
>>5391636
I'm sure you noticed, but I think you missquoted that second part.
Either way, by context, my (don't mind the ID change) vote was already "Fight Synergy".
Now, as someone who would see a thread on /v/ reading "Stop liking evil women" and think to myself "no", I normally wouldn't be against the idea just because of that, however, aside from getting another die being obviously better (hopefully), there would be 2 problems:
1- Hector already gets himself in enough trouble because of his pursue of glory, add in a woman for him to try to impress and who knows how long it would take for him to get himself killed;
2- While evil beings can always turn a new leaf (so to speak), with my (ours?) objetive of being eventually revered as a Divine Dragon that shines good into the world, having a vampire ally would be less than optimal for that end, plus, being a vampire, feeding her would present some problems as well.

That's it, sorry for the wall of text and until tomorrow everyone.

Don't think you can slip one by us.
Magic items or none, those vampires would still have loot on them, not to mention giant bat corpses would provide a lot of meat. We could probably carry one, off, and try to compress and shove as much meat as we can in our necklace. We probably don't need the wings so those can go.
What do they have on them? weapons? armor? coins? gems!?
>>
>>5391654
If nothing happened when we return home, we should immediately get started on that solar powered crystal farm idea. It would be nice to get battery gems. We could even share some with our siblings. Actually is White the only one who has these Crystal, or does his siblings grow their own as well?

compared to dragons, humans, and elves, how does the rate of level progression work? does Hector level up faster or slower? How much EXP do we need to force feed him to level him up?
>>
>>5391758
Milestone progression for NPC; XP for White.
Basically, NPC got "tiers". John Mc Random would be tier1, and get at most 1 dice.
Upon meeting them, the named humans were tier 2 (Guillot when met, Roland, Marie, Hugues, Agathe for now...). This was your level as a Hatchling.
Some outstanding humans reached tier 3 (Hector, Edwyrd, Guillot). This is the equivalent of a Wyrmling.
The dwarven master is tier 4 (Faction-renowned). So are you as a young dragon.
Hector's king, Henry, is tier 5. World-renowned, power level of an Adult Dragon.

Mustering your internal might, you hurl death to the enemies
>6,2,2 : double critical fail
>Acquire status : Breathless
Nothing comes. And you need it.
>Dig into vital force : White suffered one wound
There. The little push allows you to shoot one more time. And miss the enemies. That is quite problematic...
>>5391571
>20 : Crit
Becaue said enemies are circling you. Using their rapiers, they inflict thousands of light cut with their aerial supremacy. What stings even more : you feel their strikes are really superficials, always in the bulk of your bigger muscles, what will draw a little bit of blood but mainly exhaust you, without long term repercussions.
One more wound, and you crash. Your last thought is to release Hector and Guillot...
You wake up at the next sunrise.
>White recovered one wound.
Laying near you, an unconscious Guillot with numerous slashes on his body, and an Hector on his last legs. Maybe they're in this state because of the hill of zombie bodies surrounding your position, the last of which seems to decorate the tip of your guardian blade? There's also a stressed Vaillant, still trapped in the necklace.
"What happened?

The element of surprise gave me the split second preventing him to parry the blow. And then, the flesh made the same noise than a slice of meat on a grill. Guillot knocked the second one from his mount with a well-adjusted shot of the slings.
>>5391593
Guillot finished my opponent, and I rushed to the second one, the lady vampire, that was closing up on you. Half-conscious, you were flailing with your paws. I took the opportunity to use it as a distraction. one strike was enough to dispose of her.
>>5391670
-What about the bats themselves? Tons to eat on that...
- Both bats flew away, and the third one is burnt to a crisp.

For the record, each one of you have 1 wound. You are "short-winded" (-1d to breath attacks) but have mana. Hector and Guillot have nothing]
>>
>>5392355
hmm.... okay... Then how about this.

>Stay back a bit and Heal yourself and possibly the two Humans as well
>Fly up high and go for a fast dive towards the Fortress while using your Wind Whispering to warn your siblings you are coming.
>If we think we might be targeted warn our siblings and go full Lightshow to hopefully throw off any aimed ranged fire in our direction

I dont think we have the time to call for any allies. The humans are too far away and would need a lot of convincing.
>>
>>5392355
>Use Wind Whispering to warn your siblings. Supply thorough intel.
>Heal up but keep 1 heal in reserve.
>Gather rocks for a bombing run.

Importance in that order
>>
>>5392355
Immediately self medicate. If we have any mana left, heal the two humans. Use wind whisper to inform our siblings of the army, and gauge how much time we have before they reach the fortress. DINNER IS COMING!
If we can make it to our lair before the army makes it here, head directly into our lair and see if there is any lifegems- I mean mana crystal we can crush and absorb. Top of our energies, then let's plan something out with our sibling.

Also dump all the loot somewhere to make more room for our necklace.

>>5392357
That might paint a big target on us and egg the rat army to try and hit us.

>>5392412
>It will only cost you your rock stockpile, that you can redo in a few hours
No time to waste gather boulders. Besides we still have wildfire which is just as good.
>>
>>5392357
>If we think we might be targeted warn our siblings and go full Lightshow to hopefully throw off any aimed ranged fire in our direction
I think out of all our siblings, White is still the one with the greatest range with his breath attack. I dont know about Purple's range, but Blue and Green and short ranged breath attacks.

>>5392355
>>5392355
>find reinforcements
What do you mean? Do we even have the time?

>>5392412
Oh and the "keep 1 in reserved" part? Isnt that always a thing with White? He ONLY has 1 heal spell in reserves, but if he gets exploding dice (rolls a crit) the heal is recycled and he can use it again. Excect that bullshit last time where we weren't able to roll to heal.
>>
>Crystals
You had only the one you crushed in the hold. It was part of your hoard, would be great taboo to ask your siblings to give some (that won't even be of the right kind of energy for you), and took one month to grow.

There's that on one hand. On a second hand, and from a really meta point of view, I'd prefer your several guardians to be on several different crews. Their path can cross, but they're supposed to be your pawns on the external world with separate missions...
Basically, a Guardian will have a Team and the mere presence of the Guardian will allow their teammate to step up and improve despite not being chosen ones.
And how cool will that be to plan a multi-team heist while leading your own army to a siege?

Here's the situation. The rats have breached the wall enclosing the valley Green built. Undefendable with so few people in the open, your side never even bothered to man the walls.
Skaven have the same strategy than last time. Rat weaklings lead the assault, followed by a pack of blackfurs, with two packs of slingshoters on the side.
From the back, you can...
>Engage west slings
>Engage East slings
>Engage the army generals

Once more into the breach, dear friends...
>>
The slinger leader rally his pack.
"Stupid man-things. No pack to fight-fight with. Rat kills-kills, rats eat cat-chicken tonight!"
The perspective of such a delicate seems to motivate the slingers, their short attention span occulting the three dragons in the equation.

The slaves made it to the hall. Their number is far from enough to tear the wooden logs apart and rush inside. The traps start doing their work, as the distinctive shoot of someone stabbed by an unseen spear echoes in the mountain top. And then a green lightning rips. A handful ratmen, way more fragile than you were when the roles were switched, are vaporized.
Looks like the slaves are not so eager to get back in...
>Slaves disbanded

The blackfurs and other slingers noticed you. They prefer easy targets than cracking the hold tough nut.
A wing shaped is rising from the fortress.
You have a couple more breath uses. At best, three. The windshield is holding for now, but won't last. Squeezing all your mana could let you reuse the spell.

The Blackfurs are probably in a panic now.

Not so sure about the other slingers. though it cant be good for them.

i do wonder how horrifying their overseers are that they usually roll so good for morale.
>>
>>5394170

>The perspective of such a delicate seems to motivate the slingers, their short attention span occulting the three dragons in the equation.

I think it is "Delicacy" you were thinking of. Or "delicate meal" could also serve though i dont see the Griffon as having very delicate flesh.

also i did not know that occulting was actually a word in the English language. I guess one never stops learning.

> And then a green lightning rips.

And then a Green Lightning Bolt rips through the air.
>>
>>5394293
With any hope we might actualy get some decent loot from them this time around. At the very least it's garanteed that we should get a little over 100 units of skaven corpses. No idea how many dragon sized rations each corpse is worth, but I think it should all last us at least a month minimum.

Do you think it's possible to use presence and healing to mind break them, and remold the skaven into nicer people? At the very least we should keep some of the leaders alive for the purpose of interogations:
-where are you from, and where are all of you skaven coming from?
-how many of you are there?
-what machines, weapons, technology do you have?
-why do you want the fortress so bad?
>>
>>5394296
Oh yeah we should interrogate them. And maybe some more torture might be in Order this time. Maybe we can reduce the DC a bit.

The Meat should last us for about half a month if we can prepare the meat before it spoils considering that one Corpse might be enough for one day. Given that the Griffon Mother likely will want a Share as well we would have to divide by 5 instead.

This is just my personal opinion but i despise rats and fantasy Ratpeople to be honest. I dont want them in our empire. If other people vote for it i will bow to the majority but i personally want nothing more than to exterminate them.
>>
>>5394298
Not only for interrogations, we could use the skaven for practice in regards to healing, intimidation, mind breaking and fixing. We just need to make sure they're tied up and muzzled so they don't try to eat each other or themselves. Feeding them shouldn't be much of an issue since they're opportunistic cannibals.
OP mentioned that not everything will be 100% evil like in Warhammer Fantasy, but so far the skaven have shown little to no redeeming qualities, at least this clan of skaven that keeps trying (and failing) to attack us.
Perhaps when the fighting is over, we should upgrade our defenses a little more. On the second floor we can install cauldrons filled with razor sharp rocks connected to some pressure plates connected to the side walls. When ladder are risen the cauldrons will poor over the edges and rain down rocks on whoever tries to climb up.
>>
>>5394302
The defense Expansion sounds like a good Idea. Though maybe we should not make it sharp rocks but Marbles or relatively roudn rocks to make walking up to the walls a goddamn Nightmare if the ground is so trecherous and the marbles would roll as well. If we make the Path an Incline and a low wall at the end we could maybe burry the enemy in a small Avalanche.

Its not even a Warhammer thing. I just hate Rats and fantasy Rat people.
>>
>>5394304
We should develop a flame thrower using wildfire, or instead little wild fire dispensers in the walls of the fortress that eject outwards if someone tried to climb, scale, or use a ladder. That would cause more collateral damage, and make the area unviable for ladders.
>>
>>5394382
Maybe we should learn how to actually make wildfire
>>
>>5394475
Who did you think make it? Blue did.
>>

>Hector suffered one wound (0/3)

The silver lining : Vaillant, really mad at this outrageous affront, maimed to death the throat of the offending skaven, tearing out one of his eye. Looks like Vaillant really have a things for eyes.

Looking at the current outcome of the battle, the rats figured a couple things. First, the mighty dragons choosed the open field. They'll get at disadvantage inside, with waves upon waves of disposable rats. Second, fleeing from where they're from means staying in the open and going through the broken wall, a bottleneck. Their best hope for survival is storm the fort and whatever is still in, as most of your forces are outside.
Slaves regrouped and rushes inside, followed by the almost-full pack of slingers. The pack closest to you is next, in shoot-and-run mode. Last, the concussed blackfurs.
A second green lightning rips, and you hear thoughts of Throdenslemoni
"They disabled the traps. The only things between them and the gun is the stone guardians, me and Edwyrd."
Your master pet project (>>5381406) is finally online. The knowledge of golems have been long lost by the bearded stonediggers, so even broken ones are unvaluable. Lucky for you, one of the most adept runecraft of the dwarven history has taken an interest in understanding, repairing and replicating such marvels.
