Saiyans. Known throughout the universe as the warrior race, their power and combat prowess proved invaluable in the Covenant's downfall. And with the largest threat to the PTO destroyed, their remnants scattered across space, the universe has been united under one banner. Peace reigns across the galaxy, under the rule of Lord Freeza, Emperor of the Universe. But not all wish it to be this way. Remnants of those who were conquered are gathering in the shadows, increasing their power, and plotting their revenge. Despite this newfound age of peace swiftly spreading across the stars, there are those who would seek its end. Will you be able to stop them, or shall the universe once more be plunged into the fires of war?

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest! This story takes place in an alternate timeline within the greater Dragonball EU. You the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830 who has risen to become a mighty Berserker Super Saiyan, and so much more. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the symbol of Saiyan might and power, widely recognized across the universe as Freeza's close friend and confidant, not to mention his right hand man and General of his forces. From humble beginnings on the now long gone Planet Vegeta, Karn has become the pride of his people, and their greatest champion.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

The day of Chaya's greatest challenge arrived, Karn taking his daughter Caulifla along to witness the battle. After crash landing, Chaya engaged the metal men before having the duel of her life against her second, General Tanya Degurechaff for the title of Champion. When all was said and done, Tanya was still standing while Chaya was unconscious and bleeding out. Karn took his dethroned, nearly-murdered daughter Chaya home, along with Caulifla and Raditz. After getting Chaya in a pod to be observed by Dr. White, Karn agreed to let the twins go out on their own missions once they gather a team.

The next day, Karn visits his eldest daughter to see that she's awake, but doesn't remember how the fight went down. Raditz breaks it to her that she's lost, Chaya determined to get the rematch immediately to reclaim her title. However, you'd forced her to train first, promising that if she still felt up to it afterwards she could go. Which doesn't last long in her weakened state. Karn returned her to Dr. White for a more thorough analysis, then reached out to the one being who could help him retrieve his sword. And as we rejoin Karn, the Shapeshifting Master of Darkness Aku has just agreed to help.

“With that seal I've put over the Abyss there on your world, only I and my daughters can travel through it.” he says to you, which is surprising. When he'd put the seal down behind him, you'd been under the impression that it had become . “No other beings from the Abyss can pass through. Unless, of course, someone on your side were to somehow damage or destroy the seal.”
“It can be destroyed?” you ponder to yourself for a moment, and consider asking Chilli to look it over and add his own magical protections as well next time he swings by.
“Anyways, I can be there shortly.” Aku continues. “Probably within a few minutes, at most.”
“Alright, I'll see you then.” you reply, Aku ending the mental link. You only have a few minutes at most before he arrives, probably not enough time to get much of anything important done.

But what do you do?
>Head to the entrance to the catacombs, and give whoever's on watch the heads up before Aku can surprise them
>Telepathically reach out to the Rak'kari champion, and see if anything's changed with where the Abyss was since the day before yesterday
>Go talk with Silver first, and see what he'd recommend as far as foods helping restore Chaya's strength quicker and aid her recovery
>See if Meloka's awake, and let her know what's happening as well as Chaya's condition first before Aku arrives

But you do have one thing to do first. And so you keep walking down the hall, heading directly to your room. If Meloka's not awake yet, you'd better catch her up on everything. You quickly return to your bedroom, and as the door opens you see your wife is awake. But she's not the only one, your kids all getting dressed.

“Mornin' hun.” Meloka says without looking up, finishing dressing Okira on the bed while holding Karn Jr. with her tail. “Is Chaya up?”
“She was.” you tell her, Meloka's gaze immediately snapping towards you. “But she wanted to try and head back to Dreadzone. So I took her for my morning workout, but she couldn't even get through the warm up at thirty. She's back with Dr. White now, and he's checking her over.”
“That's not good.” she mutters, turning back to Okira and forcing a smile back on her face. “We'll go check in on Chaya after breakfast, huh?”
“Mmmm hmmm.” Okira replies, murmuring and nodding in the affirmative. She's still not very vocal, but your daughter's been slowly improving.

“I'll leave them to you then Mel, I have something to do first.” you tell her. “Aku's coming by, he'll be helping me get my sword back.”
“Oh, okay.” she replies, Broly and Caulifla looking over to you curiously.
“If I were to take the sword out of that dragon's corpse, it could revive.” you explain to them. “Like that one from years ago.”
“The one you, Freeza, an' King Vegeta took down, right?” Caulifla asks, remembering back. “Wait, were they family?”
“Far as I can tell, the one that was inside the M'lurnian ruins is the child of the one I killed the other day.” you tell her. “So Aku's coming by to eat it up, and keep it from reviving.”

“Wait, hold on. Won't Aku absorb that thing's power if he does?” your son asks, observant as ever. You see a hint of fear in his eyes, no doubt remembering just how much damage he caused during the Siege of New Salda. “Wouldn't that make him even stronger and more dangerous?”
“It most certainly will. He told me that the Abyss Dragon bested him in battle before.” you tell him seriously. “Aku absorbing that thing's power will undoubtedly make him an even greater threat, should he ever betray us. But that sword is the ONE weapon that can defeat him. Without that weapon, more power or not, I doubt anyone could stop him. Even Lord Freeza.”

“And he's taking the trade, more power in exchange for securing the weapon that could kill him away in an ally's hands.” Broly ponders aloud, hand to his chin. “That's a good deal, I can see why he'd help you get it back.”
“Exactly.” you reply, impressed at your son's grasp of the situation. “So I'll be busy for the next little bit, you all watch out for each other and your sister okay?”
“Will do.” Broly says with a nod.
“I will!” Caulifla calls out excitedly, you walking over to Meloka and kissing her before turning to the younger twins.
“You two behave for your mother, okay?” you ask them, both the twins answering in the affirmative.

Turning from your kids, you then head out of the room, With no time to waste you take off at a jog, quickly running down the hall and out of your ship before taking to the air. You kick off the sandy ground, blasting off towards the mainland and soaring through the air towards the M'lurnian Ruins' opening. Once the giant hole is below you you drop through the air, landing beside the Saiyans guarding the pit. You recognize them, faintly, both warriors starting at your sudden appearance.

“K-Karn?” Cele asks, jumping a bit in surprise at your sudden arrival.
“General.” Kabuya says, both younger warriors looking from the pit towards you. “What brings you here?”

Well? What do you tell them?
>Let them know Aku's coming through momentarily, and to not attack him on sight

"Just going around checking on everything." you tell her, the woman dropping her salute. "Anything to report?”
“Just a moment ago, before you arrived I thought I heard something.” Kabuya continues, the older of the two women's brows furrowing. “I can't explain it, but it sounded ominous.”
“I heard it too.” Cassa adds. “And ever since, the hairs on the back of my neck have been standing up. But if you're here, then....”
“Then what?” you ask her, a bit confused.
“Your reputation precedes you, General Karn.” Kabuya interrupts. “If you show up somewhere, when someone else has a bad feeling, it means something's about to go down.”

Then as one the two women clench their fists, transforming into Super Saiyans with a pair of shouts. Their golden auras blaze to life around them, but as they do, you hear it. An all-too familiar noise.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FzSVnrHXa0

“Wh-What is that?” Cassa asks, turning from you to Kabuya and back. “Do you guys hear it too?”
“Something's coming!” Kabuya answers, both women turning towards the pit. You know who's coming, but decide against warning them. Instead, you decide to stay back, and see how they handle this. “Get ready!”

Then the instant Aku's body, made of eternal darkness starts rising up out of the pit, they go on the attack. Cassa throws up a massive orb of energy, while Kabuya takes a more straightforward approach.

“KABUYA KANNON!!” she roars, firing a surprisingly powerful pink beam directly at the shapeshifter's center mass. Her sudden attack catches Aku by surprise, blasting a hole straight through his head. “NOW!”
“HAAAA!!” Cassa bellows, throwing both arms down towards the ground as Kabuya's beam ends. And as she does, her giant orb fires a massive beam straight down onto the Shapeshifting Master of Darkness. Her attack comsumes him entirely, and in fact her beam is the size of the hole leading down into the catacombs itself. Leaving him no room to escape. Her giant orb expends itself, leaving both women panting a bit from the sudden exertion. “Wha-What the. Hell. Was that?”
“It's not over, keep your eyes forward!” Kabuya orders, not looking back as she then addresses you. “What is that General?”

“You didn't recognize him?” you ask, both women starting and turning back towards you. But you don't address them, instead calling down into the catacombs below. “Sorry about that, I hadn't told them yet to be expecting you, Aku.”

“AKU?!” they both shout in surprise, and after a moment Aku begins rising up and out of the underground once more. But this time he's far more cautious, slowly rising up out to eye level, looking over you all.
“You could have given me a warning, at least.” Aku says, mildly annoyed at having taken their attacks. And seeing that the two women aren't going to just attack him again, he keeps rising back up and out of the hole. “A rude way to greet your guest, Karn.”
“I just wanted to make sure they were ready for a fight, should something else crawl up and out of there.” you say, offering Aku your hand. He rises fully up and out of the pit, landing beside you and shifting down into a humanoid form roughly fifteen feet tall and grasping your hand in his own. “How would you rate them?”

“Hrmmm. For speedy response, I'll give you ladies a nine.” he says after shaking your hand, letting you go and turning to face them. “Minus points for the self-named attack, however. Narcissism isn't something to brag about, especially if your attack is just a generic beam.”
“Well fuck you too.” she responds, crossing her arms grumpily. You can tell she's annoyed with both of you, but clearly is keeping her mouth shut about her annoyance. However, Cassa isn't as self-controlled.
“What the hell Karn? Would a heads up be too much to ask for?” she says angrily. “We're not suppposed to attack allies, we could get in a shitload of trouble for this!”

“If there's any repercussions from this, send them directly to me.” you reply casually. “I'll take full responsibility.”

Neither woman has anything to say to that, you turning your attention back to the self-proclaimed Master of Masters.

“So, General Karn, where are we headed?” Aku asks you.

"Out to sea." you tell him, slowly rising up and off of the ground. Aku's body stretches to match your altitude, then the rest of him snaps up to match. His entire body morphs into a ball, then after a moment shifts into a new, birdlike form. “Let's go.”
“Following your lead.” he replies, and the two of you take off. Flying side by side, the two of you quickly leave the continent behind and fly out over the open water. “Your planet is a beautiful one, friend. A shame I don't own one like this as well.”

“Well, Tatsu and Tomi are looking to take on a conquering mission.” you tell him. “So when they gather a crew and are ready to head out, perhaps they'll conqueror one similar to this one.”
“I see. Perhaps I'll have to take another look at which worlds are set for conquering.” Aku says. Then after a fem moments silence speaks up again. “So...How is Chaya doing? I saw her fight, and it looks like she was roughed up pretty badly.”
“She'll live.” you reply, frowning a bit as you can sense the two of you flying over the Rak'kari settlement. Won't be long until you both need to dive. “But she's really upset about losing her title. Had to stop her from going there today in the shape she was in. If she went for the rematch in her condition, Tanya would have no doubt killed her.”

“She's still in such shape?” he asks you, concerned. “Even after your daughter healed her? Did she not go into a pod upon you bringing her back?”
“Yes, almost immediately.” you respond. “But she's still not recovered. We think it has something to do with Tanya's magic. She stole her power from some sort of god, according to the Supreme Kai, and it may have stopped some of Caulifla's healing from working.”
“If her healing is divine in nature, it could be....” Aku mutters, then ponders quietly for a moment. “Perhaps I should take a look, once our business is done?”
“I'd appreciate it.” you reply, then come to a stop where you think the trench is. Or at least close enough to find it. “Alright, give me a moment. Its a ways down, and I'll need all the air I can breathe.”
“Nonsense. Here, let me help you!” Aku says cheerfully, and immediately shoots out a pair of energy beams from his eyes. Before you can react, they stop short, and quickly form a sphere of glowing energy around you. Easily twice as large around as you are tall, Aku then reaches out with a sharp talon'd foot and grabs the shield. “There. One airtight barrier. Now, let's go and grab your sword!”

With you firmly in his grip Aku drops down into the sea, the water splashing off ineffectively against the barrier around you he created. And true to his word, Aku's shield is completely watertight. Sighing out a bit in relief, you watch as the Shapeshifting Master of Darkness changes his form once more. This time he takes on the shape of an eight-legged sea monster, one that looks oddly similar to the mutated krakens you'd fought as he begins swimming deeper. His entire body in this form is used to rapidly swim, you calling out as you see the trench.

“There! It was down in the trench.” you call out, Aku shaping one of his tentacles into a thumbs up somehow as he swims down into the gap. Without the Abyssal darkness radiating from it, it just looks like a normal trench, but then you start to see it. Bodies still line the trench, those of the Rak'kari smashed and splattered against the rocky walls from the battle with the two giant Abyssals. But Aku doesn't slow down, you barely getting a moment to process this as he dives deeper and deeper. Then after several moments he swims down into the familiar looking cavern, then stops as he looks around confused. He then turns one giant eye towards you, brow still flaming somehow as he looks to you.

“Now where do we go?” he asks, you looking around uncertainly. When you'd been down here before, you hadn't exactly paid a whole lot of attention to where you were going as you'd been focused on the individual ki of the Rak'kari warriors instead.

Well? What now?
>Down. You'd dropped further down after being led to a narrow ledge leading to a round arena like area. Wherever the dragon's corpse is, it will be at the bottom

"Down." you reply, looking towards the walls for any opening that leads deeper. "We were led deeper into the darkness and cornered after coming to a round arena like area."
"I see. Well then, deeper it is." Aku says, and dives down into one of the holes in the floor. As he does, you focus your own energy and let your emerald aura blaze up to illuminate the darkness. Aku's flaming eyebrows didn't exactly wholly light the way, so your own aura blazing vastly increases your ability to see. “If you see the platform you're familiar with, let me know.”

“Will do.” you reply, keeping your head moving as you keep your head on a swivel. You look around as Aku swims, heading deeper and deeper down into the rocky cave. As he moves you start to see several more broken Rak'kari bodies, their forms crunched as if grabbed by giant hands. And remembering back to how their ki signatures would suddenly vanish as you were gathering the Rak'kari for the final confrontation, it seems that this was the fate of those you didn't reach in time. The poor bastards. Further and further down Aku leads you, until you suddenly recognize where you are. “What's that?”
“Did you find it? Have you found....” Aku asks, stopping in place and grabbing onto several of the rocks nearby to stop in place. He sees what you see, judging from his voice trailing off as there is, somehow, a giant double door seemingly hewn from the rocks directly into the wall. “Ohhh. Perhaps this doorway is important?”
“It would seem so.” you reply as Aku drifts over, setting you down before shifting into a powerful looking shape. Eighty percent of this form's body is its chest and arms, Aku driving both hands into the doors to try and drive them open. But, to both of your surprise, they don't budge. “Here, let me handle this. HRAAA!!”

With a roar you once more Ascend, muscles swelling as you retake your largest, most powerful form you can reliably take. Then you reach out, both with your hands and with your mind and grab onto the doors with your telekinesis. Then with a roar, you throw everything you have against the sealed doors.

“HRRRAAAA!!” you bellow, pushing with everything you've got. The two doors are incredibly heavy, neither moving while you try and move both. So, instead of pushing against them both, you focus on just one. They lead to the same place, after all, so there's no need to waste energy moving them both. Shoving everything you've got against the right door; you finally feel it beginning to move as it slowly grinds against the ground. Then, once the seal is broken, you feel the door sliding open more easily and you're able to shove it open enough for you and your shield to easily get through. But as you release your telekinetic grip, sighing out from the exertion, you notice an odd light radiating out from the room beyond. Aku sees it first, the two of you sharing a look.

“There is something incredibly powerful beyond this door.” he tells you suddenly, seeming almost nervous. “I can feel its magic from here. Whatever this door was sealing away, it is made of ancient magic. Perhaps we should turn back, and ignore whatever the flashy blue light is.”
“Like hell.” you reply. “If it is a powerful magical artifact, I should definitely grab it. If nothing else, I'm sure my son Chilli would love to examine it. Let's go.”
“If you insist.” he replies, once more shifting into his aquatic, many-limbed form. “But if something in there kills you, it's not my fault.”

He then picks you up, and cautiously swims through the opening. And once in the room beyond, you see the source of the light. Embedded into what looks like an altar of some sort is a sword radiating with azure light, its golden crossguard and grip pointing up as the blade lights up the room.

“A sword?” you mutter, Aku timidly holding you out ever closer to the weapon. “But why would a sword be sealed away like that?”
“Perhaps it is a cursed artifact, sealed so it cannot unleash its magical power upon the world?” he offers, but seems incinscere to you for some reason. He's AFRAID of this sword, and whatever magical energy is radiating from it. “I think we should just leave it here, and go find your sword. It is a much better weapon after all.”

You're not sure why, but you feel yourself being compelled to pick up the weapon. Its blade, which isn't made of any metal you've ever seen looks familiar, somehow. You can't quite place it, but you're sure you've seen such a material somewhere.

Well? What do you do?
>Fly over in the shield and try to grab onto the weapon's grip to pull it free
>Have Aku end his shield, then reach out and try pulling the weapon free with your hands. You have a feeling this weapon and Aku's magic won't mix
>Try grabbing the weapon with your telekinesis, but don't grab it directly. Aku may be right, it could be dangerous to even touch but you're not leaving it down here for the Rak'kari to find
>Trust Aku, leave it alone for now and seal the door up behind you like you were never here
>Telepathically reach out to Raven, and see what she'd recommend doing here in this situation

"Aku, end the shield." you say, the Shapeshifting Master of Darkness looking at you with a worried gaze. "I don't think that weapon will mix with your magic."
“You-You're really going to take that thing?” he asks you, looking nervously between you and the sword. “That weapon is radiating magic older than even me. Be very careful Karn, there's no telling how dangerous it is.”
“I will.” you reply, then take a deep breath as he ends the shield. The water rushes into the space it had been, you swimming over to the altar and grasping the weapon's hilt in both hands, bending at the knees so you can use your legs for additional leverage. Then with a focused exhalation you straighten up, pulling the weapon straight up and out of the stone altar. To your surprise it isn't stuck or anything, pulling the weapon free easily. As you do, however, suddenly you hear an unfamiliar noise.

“Uhh Karn? I think it is time to leave.” Aku says, as suddenly the sound of grinding stone fills the water while the gap in the altar the sword had been resting in starts to close up from the bottom. And you realize that the sword was holding some mechanism in place. Now, without the 'key' keeping that button pressed down, something's about to happen. You aren't sure what, but your instincts are telling you it can't be anything good. So without a moment's hesitation you dash straight through the narrowly opened doorway, turning and grabbing onto it with your telekinetic grip. But before you can close it, Aku grabs you around the waist and pulls you away. “No time! RUN!!”

Before you can say anything he jerks you back, swimming rapidly away from the room. Then after only two seconds or so, a massive blast of energy explodes out from the sealed room. It is the same sort of azure magical light that the sword radiates, and as the light ends you realize why the sword looks familiar. The doorway has been filled, rendered impassible by the sudden appearance of pale, slightly luminous crystals that have sprouted up. They look almost identical to your son's own magic, and looking back at the sword realize now where you've seen such a thing before.

“So that's why it looks familiar.” you think to yourself, then after a moment give Aku a thumbs up. He lets you go, and now that his barrier is gone you only have a limited time to act before you have to flee back to the surface. You then flare your aura up, and start flying through the water. Aku remains close, not quite close enough that with a sudden stop he'd get hit by the crystalline sword but enough that he can follow you easily as you keep looking around. And then, you find it. You point towards the narrowing path, glancing over your shoulder to see Aku nod. This is it.

Having finally found where you fell before, you drop down deeper into the darkness without hesitation. Aku follows close behind, you dropping down as fast as you can go. You fly down for almost a minute before finding the bottom, but then you see it! You made it back to the bottom of the abyss! You fly over to the corpse of the Abyss Dragon, landing beside it. Aku lands beside you a moment later, his eyes even wider than usual.

“You...You really did it.” he says, looking over at you. “You actually killed him. But...Where's the sword?”
“Under him.” you reply. “Stabbed him straight through the chest.”
“I see.” Aku replies. “So, are you gonna grab your sword, or...?”

Well? How do you do this?

"I'll get it, just a moment." you think to Aku, shifting the ancient blade to your left hand then reach out with your right. Grasping onto the giant dragon's body in your telekinetic grip, you focus everything you've got on raising the beast's body. Gritting your teeth, you snarl as you struggle to lift the mass of the giant monster. Your arm trembles under the weight, you throwing your left forward as well and putting absolutely everything into lifting the giant body. “HRRAAAA!”

With a roar you lift the ENTIRE gigantic beast, hauling it up off of the rocky ground. Emerald aura blazing, your light reflects off of the weapon's metal. There! As soon as you spot your sword, you drop your telekinetic grip on the dragon and rush forward. Grabbing the blade's handle with your right, you plant your feet on its chest and think out to Aku:

“NOW!!”

“HRRYAAAAA!!” you roar, and with all of your power tear the magical blade free. Darkness sprays out of the opened wound as you kick off of the beast, flying free of the Abyssal fluids and getting clear. Giving Aku all the room he needs.

“M̸̳̑̂͗̽I̵̫̳͙̮̓͒N̴̩̗͉̩̎͒̔̎͜E̶͚͗̓!!” Aku roars in a demonic tone you've never heard him use, his inky black body expanding out in all directions like an ocean wave. His body envelops the entire titanic Abyssal Dragon, covering it completely. Then you watch him, confused, as nothing happens for several moments. But then, the entire mass of Abyssal darkness begins shrinking. Aku's darkness rapidly shrinks down to maybe twice the size of the shield he'd made around you earlier, forming an amorphous blob. But then, once more it begins taking shape. You watch in shock as the dragon's form begins taking shape once more, planting your feet and raising both weapons into a defensive fighting stance. Left sword held horizontally before you, right held up and at the ready above and behind your head. The dragon takes shape once more, but this time it has Aku's more distintive flaming eyebrows, green lips, six horns and red goatee. Then its eyes open, revealing pure white eyes. And suddenly you realize just how intimidating your Berserker forms' eyes must appear to everyone else. The dragon doesn't say a word, but you know it is glaring down at you. You see a small tremble run through the dragon Aku's entire body, as if it is fighting to keep itself stationary as it looks at you. Your instincts start warning you that you could be in danger, wary of the Abyssal being before you.

However, despite his appearance, you know your friend has to be in there somewhere. So you reach out telepathically, calling out to him.

“Aku, can you hear me? I know you're in there!” you think, projecting your thoughts into the giant dragon's mind. “C'mon, don't you dare give up on me!”
“K-Karn?” comes a distant reply, almost as if there is a massive void between your mind and his own. As if you're on one mountaintop, shouting across a valley to your friend who's standing on another mountaintop. You can reach him, but just barely. You're going to have to work hard to reach him through this mental landscape. But as you have that thought, another voice makes itself heard.
“GRRRROOOOOOAAAAAAAR!!” comes a familiar-sounding roar, flooding through the link. Between your minds suddenly a mass of anger and hate shoves itself between your mind and Aku's. Overwhelming malice floods through the telepathic link, nearly severing the tenuous connection. “DIE!”

“Get the hell out of my way!” you snarl aloud, focusing past the mindless rage and thinking directly into Aku's mind. “Come on Aku, you aren't going to let this thing beat you, right? You really telling me that the Shapeshifting Master of Darkness can't even overcome a bit of mindless rage?”

But he can't hear you, the roaring rage drowning your projected thoughts out. Seems like you're going to have to out-rage this beast. You smirk, as despite the air in your lungs running out, you're sure that you can show Aku what REAL anger can do.

“GRRRRAAAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, cutting loose and letting your emerald aura blaze wildly while powering up to maximum. The draconic Aku before you flinches back, even the rage roaring in his mind stops for a moment at your sudden display. Then you again try reaching him telepathically, but not gently. Now you start shouting at him through your mental link, as if addressing one of your students who's trying to ascend from the False Super Saiyan to a full-grown Super Saiyan. “Is this your best? Are you really going to just let that dragon win? I thought you were better than that!”
“Karn?” he asks, this time his voice coming through much clearer. “What's going on? Are you-?”

“Are you done slacking off?!” you ask, and can almost feel both him and the dragon's minds flinch back in shock. “Now get off your ass, and take control of yourself back! Are you really going to just stand there and let that dragon win? Are you really going to just give up? Or are you going to fight back? Fight, Aku! FIGHT!!”
“GRRROOOOOAAAAAAAAR!!” the Aku dragon bellows, head pointed towards the sky and belching pitch-black flames up into the air. But you can tell that this roar is different, not one of mindless fury. And as his shape begins collapsing and folding in on itself, you can't help but smirk. Looks like you got through to him.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After Karn informed Aku of the defeated Abyss dragon, the Shapeshifting Master of Darkness traveled through the Abyss directly to New Salda where Karn led the Abyssal being down into the former darkness. While exploring the caverns, looking for the bottom-most chamber they stumbled upon a sealed door, Karn opening it to find a sword radiating with ancient magic even older than Aku himself. So Karn took the weapon, then after finding the Abyssal dragon retrieved his Wolf Knight sword as well. Aku then consumed the beast, taking its essence into himself. But something was wrong, Aku taking on the dragon's shape and glaring Karn down. After a telepathic rage-off with the remains of the beast's consciousness within Aku, Karn got through to the self-proclaimed Master of Masters. And as we rejoin Karn, Aku's draconic form has begun collapsing in on itself.

“That's it. That's the way.” you think to yourself, ignoring the burning in your lungs desperate for air. Breathing can wait until you've made sure your friend is okay. The Abyssal black form of Aku collapses once more into a shapeless ball. It tries stretching out a few times, but each time the form collapses back into the ball. Then it begins compressing even further, flattening itself down into a disc along the ground. You start feeling nervous, and are about to telepathically reach out again, when suddenly his darkness begins growing up once more. But it doesn't make Aku's usual form. Instead he forms a man! Built just as large as you are, eyebrows still ablaze and with shoulders just as wide as your own, Aku emerges triumphant from his inner battle against the Abyss. Or, did he? You decide to play it safe, and reach out telepathically. “Aku?”

“Aaaaaah, what a wonderful day!” he exclaims, raising both hands over his head as he shouts. “And of course, it is all thanks to you! Were you not here, I'm sure that monster would have consumed me from the inside! I underestimated it, but thanks to you I am stronger than ever!”
“Great. But I gotta breathe, hold on.” you reply, shifting the blue glowing sword with the crystal blade to your tail before grabbing him with your left hand. He looks at you curiously as you shut your eyes, focusing on your ki sense. But who will you teleport the both of you to?

Well?

You reach out, focusing your ki sense down until you've locked onto the singular energy of your daughter's friend, Raditz. Once you've locked onto his ki, you raise your right hand to your forehead.

“What are you doing?” Aku asks, but you don't answer. Focused as intensely as you are, chest nearly on the verge of bursting as your body screams for air, you finally do it! With your focus crystallized, you teleport both yourself and Aku out of the depths. One second the two of you are down in the depths, the next you and the Shapeshifting Master of Darkness are both standing, water dripping onto the clean floor of the medical bay as you take several rapid, deep breaths.
“What the-?!” Raditz shouts, immediately Ascending in a burst of sparks while gathering ki into both hands ready for a fight. But then he sees you, and immediately relaxes. His aura fades away, while also letting the gathered energy in his hands disappear with a sigh out. “Oh, hey. Who's this?”

“I am the Shapeshifting Master of Darkness, the Shogun of Sorrow, the Master of Masters Aku.” he declares, his usual hamminess returning in full force. “And thanks to Karn here, my power has now reached even greater heights! Now, where are we Karn?”
“The medical bay, in my home.” you say, returning the newly-acquired sword to your left hand as you walk over to Chaya's side. You then look over to Dr. White, who's looking nervously at Aku. “Is it okay if he takes a look at Chaya? He's been around for quite awhile, he may have insights into her condition.”
“Of course. The first two scans have completed, and the third hasn't started yet.” he replies, but still seems nervous. “Just don't move her.”
“I understand.” Aku says, walking over and lays his hand on her sternum. Then his darkness begins spreading out from his hand.

“Wha-?!” Raditz exclaims, taking a half step forward towards her as his darkness envelops her body. Much like he consumed the dragon, his darkness covers her completely.
“Hrmmmm. Oooh, I see.” Aku mutters, free hand going to his chin and pulling on his goatee as he looks down at her. “This is interesting. Her body has been filled with a lot of divine magic recently. And I mean a LOT of divine magic. As if two different gods have been warring for dominance inside of her body.”
“Two gods?” you ask, confused. “How? She only fought one opponent.”
“It looks like while one deity tried to crush your daughter, another tried to intervene and save her.” Aku replies, retracting his darkness from her and taking a step back. “But that one's power and influence wasn't great enough to undo what the other did.”

“Caulifla's miracles.” Raditz exclaims suddenly, you all turning to him. “Her healing magic isn't her own, at least that's how she explained it during the war. She channels the power of the Darkmoon that she goes off and fights for for that healing light.”
“She can use the power of the old miracles?” Aku ponders, brows furrowing a bit. “Hmmmm. Then perhaps... Well, that can wait for another time.”

Shaking his head, Aku then turns to you, offering his hand.

“Thank you, my friend.” he says, giving you a genuine smile. “With this power now mine, I can accelerate my own plans by several centuries. Thank you.”
“Of course.” you reply, setting your Wolf Knight sword down to shake his offered hand.

"But before you go, if you're not in a hurry; want to test this newfound power out?" you ask him with a smirk. "I'm curious just how powerful you really are, now that you've taken that dragon's power into yourself."
“If you want, I wouldn't be opposed.” he answers with a grin, betraying just how confident he's feeling now that he has that Abyssal dragon's power on top of his own. You remember back to when he'd shown you his power before, and while even back then you'd been stronger than Aku, his power was so much more vast than your own you could barely comprehend it. “But we'll need to take this outside. There is no way this tiny space could contain our might.”

“You're certainly right about that. But let me put these away first.” you say, again taking up the two swords before leading him out of the medbay. You walk to your own room, which is currently empty, and lay the newly-acquired sword flat on the bed. Then you take your Wolf Knight sword and sheathe it, leaning it back against the wall beside the door by your hammer. “Alright, let's go.”
“Will it be okay, just leaving such powerful artifacts laying around like this?” Aku asks, a note of worry in his voice.
“Its fine. Almost no one outside my own family ever come in here.” you say, walking back outside the room. As the door slides to a shut you reach out with your telekinesis, and throw the manual door lock shut on it. Just in case. “Alright, let's go.”

You lead your friend outside the ship, the two of you walking down the entrance ramp and exiting your home. After a dozen or so steps you turn, facing the Shogun of Sorrow. Who laces his fingers together and raises them above his head in a stretch. It sounds almost like wood creaking and groaning as he does so, which is odd, but once he's done he meets your gaze.

“So, how hard is this little practice match of ours?” he asks you, radiating confidence now that you're not holding the weapon, or maybe weapons that could actually kill him.
“Give me everything you've got.” you reply, clenching your fists and powering up immediately to one hundred percent. Your emerald aura flashes up violently around you, blasting the sand away as lightning crackles around you. “Don't hold back, show me everything. I want to see your REAL power!”

He looks you over a moment, muttering to himself too quietly for you to hear before he grins. Your instincts ping at this, telling you that such an expression from this being could be trouble as he continues.

“Yes, I think you could actually do it. I think you can handle my true power.” Aku says, then immediately turn and kicks off the sand. You watch as he soars through the air for a bit before falling down into the sea with a splash. And your instincts warn you that something big is about to happen.

For several seconds everything's quiet, nothing moving aside from the gentle breeze. You watch the water curiously, expecting him to arise at any moment, but nothing happens. For a moment you start wondering if he simply ran off, but then the water starts bubbling up where he'd submerged. Here it comes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHcE6AI9XIk

Suddenly Aku's massive body begins emerging, rising up and out of the depths. But to your confusion there are two of him, both rising simultaneously from the water. Then another two, and you finally realize what's happening. Those aren't his body, each one of them is just one of his horns!

“Woah!” you exclaim, taking a step back as Aku's absolutely colossal body begins rising up from the depths. His face is larger than your entire ship behind you, the Master of Masters laughing as he rises from the waves.
“Ahh haaaa haaah haaah haaah haaaaa!” Aku laughs, his voice's bass reverberating the air as he continues rising, towering above everything. He is absolutely massive, like this he would have been able to lift that large demon Trigon in a single hand as if he were a plaything. Your instincts immediately scream at you in terror, your body instinctively reacting to such a display of power as his head completely blocks out the sun, leaving your entire island in darkness. You CANNOT defeat Aku, not like this. Even with the sword, you wonder if it would even make a difference. Aku is a being on an entirely different level. “This is my true form! Now, let us see who is stronger!”

Aku then draws his right hand back, his fist the size of your ship as he aims carefully towards you. If that punch lands, not just your ship but the entire island would easily be destroyed! So you leap into the air, emerald aura blazing so such a large being can easily see you, and he adjusts his aim.

But what do you do now?
>Match his punch with one of your own, give it everything you've got
>Catch his fist, use your power to stop his giant swings
>Try dodging around his punches, there's no way you'd be able to stop an attack like that, right?

"C'mon, show me what you've got! HRRAAAAA!!" you roar, drawing your own right fist back. Aku draws his arm all the way back for a planet-rending swing, then fires it right at you. Emerald aura blazing, you roar and swing forward with all of your might directly at the center of his massive fist. Your fists collide, but something unexpected happens. With the force of Aku's punch spread out over a massive area, while your power is far more narrowly focused, insteading of meeting force with force you punch through Aku's titanic fist! Your charge carries you into Aku's hand, charging through his Abyssal black body until you charge straight through and back out into the world. Looking back, you see that your charge carried you all the way through Aku's forearm, exploding out the back of his elbow. Well, that didn't quite go how you'd intended it to.

“Looks like I need to be more... Precise.” Aku declares, his entire forearm morphing into a lance. It comes down to a point roughly the size of your Ascended Berserker fist, the titanic Aku drawing his reshaped arm back for another swing. You do the same, and once again charge forward. “HAAAA!”
“HRRYAAAAAAAA!!” you bellow, swinging with everything you've got once more. Your fist slams into the point of Aku's swing, then from that point of contact a massive shock wave blasts out. It sends you flying back and away, tumbling uncontrollably through the air as you hit something at least as powerful as your own swing. But after a few seconds you finally stop yourself, just in time to see that Aku recoiled as well. Looking up, you see that his expression is one of complete shock. His flaming eyebrows have completely gone out, looking down at you stunned.

“WHAAAAAT?!” he exclaims, looking from his arm to you and back. “N-No way. There's no way, that has to be a fluke. HAAAA!”
“GRRRAAAAA!!” you bellow, drawing your fist back and charging at his fist once more. Again your fist crashes into his own, and again the shock waves from the titanic clash knocks you flying. As you recover again, Aku draws both hands up over his head, laces his fingers together before reshaping his joined hands into a giant downward-pointing cone.
“Let's see you block THIS!” he shouts, and swings down towards you. Focusing your energy into your Energy Body around you, you draw your right fist back once more as you fly straight up at his attack.
“HRRRRAAAAAAAAA!!!” you roar, once more swinging your fist into Aku's massive attack. Your attacks collide once again, but this time the shock waves are different. They're more focused, slamming into you as your attack stops Aku's massive swing. Yet despite stopping the attack, the force is transferred to you instead, sending you crashing down into the sea.

You hit the waves with tremendous force, the sea 'breaking' your fall and slowing you down slightly before crashing back-first down into the sea floor. But as you hit, the water explodes up, leaving you laying on a now-dry seabed as the water sprays upwards. And for a moment, you see Aku looking down to his merged hands in complete surprise.

“Heh.” you mutter, smirking as the waves crash back down onto you. Exhaling you pull yourself up and out of the newly-made crater, getting your feet under you before kicking off and launching yourself back into the sky.
“Whaaat?!” Aku shouts, clearly surprised as you fly back up out of the sea seemingly unharmed. “You can still fly?”
“I can do more than that!” you shout, emerald aura exploding up around you once more. “Come on, enough playing around! Show me what you can REALLY do!!”

Once more you charge up at the mighty Aku, drawing your right fist back as he does the same with his joined hands, determined to see exactly what he can do with this tremendous new power. You're going to draw every last ounce of this newfound strength from him and see just how strong your ally is!

What if I told you he can’t out-rage Karn, at least not directly. Because he is a deity, and Karn is always angrier facing one than normal
>>
>>5358399
Ah, but that is the beauty of Asura!
He accomplishes what should, by all means, be impossible. He killed the god of Mantra using Mantra. His rage, and his daughter's love for him, was enough to kill the very thing that controlled and produced his power.
Besides, we all know that Asura doesn't give a shit about being a god. He does what he does because it's always objectively correct to beat the shit out of assholes that cause trouble for other people because of their ambitions, not for anything else.

>>5358240

I could see the fight happening. We can’t forget that Karn is still a genocidal conqueror at the end of the day. He’s perfectly willing to sacrifice trillions of lives for the PTO, both out of loyalty to it and to secure the livelihood and safety of his friends and family. That alone would be unforgivable, because they’re not his lives to sacrifice. Asura doesn’t seem like the kind of guy to tolerate might makes right either - right makes right, it doesn’t matter how much stronger someone is to him. The bloodshed of innocents is always unforgivable.
Still, he wouldn’t seem the type to be opposed to a temporary partnership against a more vile threat. Karn is a lot more down to earth and reasonable than most of Asura’s enemies.
>>
>>5358685
Valid points. If nothing else, they'd certainly understand where the other was coming from if they ever learned of their circumstances.

He had one chance to have his dragon balls drop and they shot right back up after confronting his annoying pink handler. Anything short of brainwashing the brainwashing won't help him now, and he is absolutely not worth the effort in my eyes or Fu's eyes. His fate as Chronoa's loyal halfbreed mutt and Karn's chewtoy has been sealed. I long for the day that he starts jobbing to our children, especially Chilli, Broly, Maza, Milha, and Koruza.
>>
>>5359600
Dude Chilli and Broly could probably take him in a double team.
Power disparity aside, they're probably already more skilled and serious about fighting then he'll ever be.
>>
>>5359571
If he didn’t want to be emasculated, he’d have stood up to Chronoa by now.

True. But Xeno Trunks is NOT the same as the one who stood up to Vegeta over the whole Perfect Cell fiasco. THAT Trunks had principles and stood by them.
>>5359600
And Potara were permanent, yes. We can all remember.
>>5359617
Chilli can solo him, as long as Trunks doesn’t speed blitz him because of the moral quandry of attacking a literal child “FoR tHe GrEaTeR gOoD.” Broly could put up a fight, and cash in on some of those debuffs, but he lacks the power to put him down.
>>
>>5359628
>But Xeno Trunks is NOT the same as the one who stood up to Vegeta over the whole Perfect Cell fiasco
That brings up an interesting question.
What could have caused Xeno Trunks to diverge so heavily in personality and temperament from a certified chad-in-training like pic related?
>>
>>5357844
I think the last is Moro, the second would be Beerus over Cumber.
>>
>>5359632
Time travel theorycrafting is fun! Give me a bit, and I’ll have the full Cell Saga All Timelines breakdown ready.
>>
>>5359632
He got a second mom.
>>
In Z canon, there are 4 known timelines, excluding the movies.

First, there is the timeline where Goku dies to the virus, Bulma develops the medicine and the Time Machine, Trunks goes ‘back’. Killing Freeza and King Cold and splitting the timeline. This is the Original Timeline Trunks, or OT Trunks. He helps defeat the Androids of Timeline 2, or T2. Cell hasn’t appeared yet, as he’s not traveled back yet. OT Trunks returns home with the remote to deactivate 17&18 in his timeline. Androids are destroyed, then Cell awakens in a 17&18less world so kills Trunks and steals the time machine. Going back to 4 years BEFORE Trunks’ arrival, creating another split timeline.
Because of Cell’s jumping back and splitting of the timeline, OT Trunks appears in BOTH timelines 2&3. This third timeline is the Z ‘canon’ timeline, the one the manga/anime follow. Trunks appears, defeats Freeza/King Cold, returns for the Androids fight and stays in timeline 3 until Cell is defeated. Going back ‘home’, he fights the androids directly, killing them in combat before destroying Cell with a “Disappear For Good!”

And that’s the Android/Cell saga multiverse.
>>
>>5359703
Forgot to mention the timeline he goes back ‘home’ to after Cell’s defeat in timeline 3 is timeline 4. Similar to timeline 1, except he kills the androids in direct combat instead of deactivating them first. And armed with knowledge of Cell’s existence.
>>
>>5359705
So Xeno Trunks is the one that got killed by Cell in the future, right?
That still makes him pretty similar to the canon Future Trunks right up until that divergence.
What exactly put all that bitch in him? Because it shouldn't have been there after training with Vegeta.
>>
>>5359711
Yes, Xeno Trunks is from the first timeline. The one who didn’t fight Cell in the past. It didn’t so much as put the bitch IN him, as that was always there. But timeline 3’s iteration of Future Trunks actually stood up to Vegeta. Without Cell’s Perfect gambit, Trunks never had a reason to man up and stand up directly to Vegeta’s arrogance. Remaining the whipped dog he was.
>>
>>5359730
Oh my God, he never made his daddy proud either.
WE'VE BEEN FIGHTING THE WORST POSSIBLE ITERATION OF TRUNKS THIS ENTIRE TIME!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I have a question that may not have an answer.
Why are dragons so prominent in Karn's life?
He made a technique that manifests a dragon despite probably not knowing what a dragon even is.
His Stand takes the form of a dragon.
He's fought and killed multiple legendary dragons.
His moniker is "The Dragon of New Salda".
What's the deal?
>>
>>5359883
What if I told you that the fictional media on which this quest was based was called "Dragonball"?

Dude dragons are cool. It's whatever.
>>

>Karn's balls have produced multiple key players in shaping the Galaxy's future after he's gone
IT'S ALL CONNECTED
>>
>>5359741
Yup. This is BOI.
>>5359883
>He made a technique that manifests a dragon despite probably not knowing what a dragon even is.
>His Stand takes the form of a dragon.
Those are the same thing. Karn was unaware it was a Stand, however, until Joseph explained it.
>His moniker is "The Dragon of New Salda"
Yes. Because his Stand, pre-Divine, was visible to non-Stand users. And during the battle with Trigon, Karn summoned it in a large form that could match the demon, and killed him.
>He's fought and killed multiple legendary dragons.
More happenstance than anything else. He’s also fought deities, demons, assassins, cyborgs, and cyborg assassins.
>>
Hope you all are ready for a Karn fight for the intermission. But this one won’t be from Karn’s perspective

Does one's top speed increase linearly with their power level without additional speed focused training?
Because if it does, Karn could potentially fly at 4.2% of the speed of light provided he's in a vacuum.

Forgot to mention, those calculations I mentioned were done with Karn's base powerlevel.
>>
>>5360608
personally I see KI as a kinda enhancer for speed and strength. the faster you can go without ki the bigger the boost is. it's why dyspo while not the strongest pride trooper is the fastest.

that's my personal head canon.
>>
>>5360663
Its a believable scale. Goku was 3million BASE Against Freeza. 30mil at x10 Kaio Ken, and 60mil at x20 Kaio Ken. Freeza at “half” his full power was 60mil.
>>5360670
>it's why dyspo while not the strongest pride trooper is the fastest
But that is explicitly wrong. Dyspo was still slow enough for Goku to react to with Omen, while Jiren’s Full Power was too fast for even Mastered to dodge at several points during the final battle. Now the manga does say Goku’s focus slips while in that state and he gets sloppier, but even after he’s knocked down he can get up and dodge a lot of Jiren’s hits again.

But scaling anything off of U7 during the tournament is dumb anyways. Dyspo’s base being slower than Freeza and his hits doing no damage to his final technique being so fast Golden Freeza couldn’t even TOUCH him and actually was taking damage?
>>
>>5360676
Hey, GD. I was wondering... Has Chilli given any thought to using his magic to reinforce his strength and speed, similarly to Ki? Ordinarily it typically pales in comparison to just casting a strong spell, I imagine, since if he needs physical power he can just use Super Saiyan...

But within Soul Release, powering something like that wouldn't be an issue, and the effect would be magnified dozens of times over, right? Would a technique like that allow Chilli to keep up with a melee bruiser using Soul Release, rather than risking getting immediately speed blitzed if they have a way to hit it?
>>
>>5360676
I'll be honest I don't watch super. I thought Dyspo was the fastest because I heard that was his thing.

the point may still ring for Burter being the fastest of the ginyu force (excluding Guldo because time stop is technically infinite speed)
>>
>>5360690
excluding ginyu as well i guess.
>>
So i had a really dumb thought. Karn gets stronger when his cloths get blasted off, so I could see some time patroller idot trying to use the Cloths Beam to weaken him

The magical Girl Karn incident is to be never talked about
>>
>>5359730
>>5359741
It explains everything...and his dad is so out of his league now that he would never think to nut up with Pink Bitch tugging his sack wherever she wants him to go.
>>
>>5359883
We fought Godzilla several times, so Shenron version of Dragon Force could have been our subconscious interpretation of one, since we never see actual dragons until recently. As for the rest, well, the make good boss fights.
>>
>>5360687
No, he sees such magic as trivial at best. After all, he figured out invisibility in a single night because he and Megumin had a lighthearted argument about whether or not it was useful.
No. Soul Release, at the level he’s operating, converts the person’s physical body itself into magic. Which is why the Kaio-Ken doesn’t come with the same risks in that form.
>>5360690
He was the second fastest going INTO the tournament, by virtue of Jiren also being there. We can debate on if he’s faster than a Blue Kaio-Ken or Blue Evolution, but doesn’t really matter. Dyspo’s faster than Golden Freeza, which is faster than Blue.
Burter is fastesr than Ginyu, even now due to his specialized training. Guldo doesn’t count, considering now his Time Freeze can last several minutes at a time.
>>5361030
Well, just going to note this doen in my potential April Fools notes, don’t mind me
>>5361117
That’s why he’s so easily manipulated.
>>5361118
>since we never see actual dragons until recently
But Karn recognizes them on sight. Which can only mean one thing: he’s seen then BEFORE episode one, on another planet.

I'm only now realizing we don't really know anything about Planet Vegeta.
>>

>>
>>5361305
Hey GD, Vegeta's a man now, right?
When the hell is he gonna solidify his lineage with an heir?
>>
>>5361377
I think he's still in those Saiyan teen years (15-17) where he looks like an 11 year old.
>>
>>5361377
Officially he will be waiting for some time as most royalty don't want the crazy bullshit that is the Saiyan Homeworld. Unofficially his body guard is being doted on alot by him.
>>
>>5361312
It was a rocky, barren planet.
>>5361377
That may be related to an important event, one that’s upcoming...
>>5361383
He’s 18, nearly 19.
>>5361394
Why would he care about the royalty? The king has(traditionally) had one requirement for a bride, since before King Vegeta III. And you should already know what that is.

No.

That is a given.

Not that Karn knows of.
No. Unless something else happens.
She’s certainly strong.
>>
>>5361401
The ability to produce strong and capable heirs.
Above all else, that is the most important thing in Saiyan royalty. A weak heir would see the lineage destroyed by the first dissenter that could overpower them. Weakness is absolutely intolerable in a saiyan royal. Even if the royal family is more sophisticated than the rest of saiyan society, the fact remains that saiyans will always be a warrior race.
>>
>>5361646

>>
>>5361693
Tarble was the second son, so the standards would understandably be more lax for him.
That said, he did start training under one of the strongest Saiyans in history as soon as he was brought back, so there's hope for him yet.

Because you can only get stronger.
>>
>>5361646
A very good point. Any new Vegeta must be powerful enough to keep the lineage going, and to protect their people.
>>5361693
To be fair, Tarble kind of found his own way back after King Vegeta III yeeted him into space for the sin of being weak.

Hey GD, I have a somewhat strange question.
What's Galick been up to?
I know he probably has his hands full being a Royal Guard, but I figure I may as well ask since he's tangentially related to the main cast.
I also find it interesting how he either inherited or invented a technique effective enough for Vegeta to go "I gotta learn that!"
It's remarkably similar to the Kamehameha, so I wonder if it follows the same basic principles as far as ki manipulation goes.

It’s close enough. Not QUITE as efficient/powerful as a Kamehameha, as that more than doubles a user’s power before firing it. But it is close
>>
>>5362127
Hey, how come Galick doesn't get any flak for naming his attack after himself?

Alright I'm just gonna throw out some random questions about Saiyans and New Salda.
How much of Saiyan religion and mythology survived the ancient civil war and subsequent jumps from planet to planet?
Are there any fringe elements in the Saiyan population that broke off from the PTO?
Do modern Saiyans have any creative output or type of craft besides fighting?
How many Saiyan children born in the last few years are hybrids?
Are there any Saiyan infants sent out on extermination missions that have yet to return to PTO space?
Outside of tourist traps, how pervasive are cultural influences from other planets on New Salda?
Are there any farms on New Salda? Or is all the food hunted game and imports from other planets?
Would Frieza potentially engineer a new conflict just to keep the Saiyans in fighting shape?
Is there any interest from Saiyan Leadership or Frieza in establishing Saiyan Colonies on other high gravity planets?
>>
>>5362624
Our Saiyan's are space Construction workers between Wars. And pornstars/workout instructors.
>>
>>5362928
Saiyans being top notch builders actually ties back into one of my questions.
If they're skilled in building habitats for themselves given the materials, it stands to reason that they'd be a good fit for colonizing high gravity planets that are unfit for sale.
It would also help mitigate New Salda's status as a massive target, what with it no longer being the singular home of Frieza's most powerful soldiers.
>>
24 hours until SCQ continues!

>>5362624
Not much, mostly the old nobles are the only ones who know any of it. But even then the tales of the Super Saiyan God, and the Berserker God have been lost to time.
Possibly, just like Bardock was at one point.
Some may, but that’s more the outcast than the rule. Like Chilli, diving into magic and exploring its depths.
>hybrids
Including Maza, Milha and Koruza, less than twenty. Most were born on Azar.
A few. Most are assumed dead from the deep space powerlevel scans.
Outside of the contained light gravity well in the main city? Only the Jiralhanae settlement made of their old ships.
Other commercial fauna cannot sustain itself in the intense gravity of New Salda. They’ve tried engineering the crops but that hasn’t worked. So they’ve been going through and finding what grows naturally, and testing it for commercial use. But right now the Saiyan population is sustained through imports and hunted game/fish.
>engineer
There’s no need for that. It hasn’t even been a YEAR yet in-quest since the Covenant fell.
>colonies
There’s one in the works. A planet with even higher gravity, and surprisingly high powerlevel readings. King Vegeta and Freeza have been discussing it.
>>5362928
They’ve gotten really good at rebuilding.
>>5362994
But that also makes the inverse true. Having THAT MUCH power concentrated means it is the most secure planet in the entire PTO. People wanted by other factions have actively fled to New Salda after the war, knowing damn well no other player would try something. Not after the Siege, showing just how much carnage and death the Saiyans can deal out per life lost. Speaking of, Vox caught Maz/Kayle’s deaths on camera, and Karn naming his twins after them has been noticed by the Saiyan-observing community. Some even going so far as to speculate that the twins ARE Maz and Kayle reborn, and that Saiyans simply reincarnate into stronger and stronger Saiyans.

Oh....OH, so Moma Goddess Meloka is going to have a reincarnation flavoring to her Goddesshood? Bit dumb of an assumption, and it seems really odd the lot would go that route instead of Karn honoring the memory of fallen warriors. But...okay?

I wonder what this means for ol' Karn Jr. The boy was born as a super saiyan, and his father was the first super saiyan since thousands of years ago. fuck, he's ripe for kidnapping by outside forces wanting a piece of that potential power pie, he makes canon infant broly look like a chump.
>>
>>5363199
I know right? Broly might have those legendary Genes, but his biological parents being as weak as they were really set him back.
As opposed to Karn Jr who was conceived while his daddy was an Ascended Berserker and his momma was a master of Super Saiyan 3.
>>
>>5363212
I can't help but imagine what a monster a child of Broly and Kale would be especially if he was born Berserk Super Saiyan like Karn Jr.

Kale got bitch genes. Strong sure but bitch genes nonetheless. Don't worry though he'll get with Cauli instead and it's gonna be weird as fuck.

>>5363272
You're right about both, Jr does have a headstart for greatness (so long as he doesn't job to fucking wookies) and kidnapping Karn's children or any children under his protection is a death sentence. Speaking of, lets spitball here: Say you want to steal Karn Jr. so you can mould him into your greatest and most loyal warrior. How do you
>A: Not get caught doing it
>B: Avoid getting turned into past tense by the Karn Clan & Friends
>C: Train Karn Jr. long enough to actually be loyal to you
Not going to lie, I think the only stealth mission harder than this is breaking into the Time Nest to eat Toki-Toki.
>>
>>5363297
you would need a large distraction or try and get in when karn is off world. you would also need some magic blocking shit to stop raven from finding yo when you get on world. then you would need a facility in deep space (or a backwater worthless planet) and use some Ki detection blocking tech like covenant invisibility.
>>
>>5363272
>Was that nature? Or nurture?
Considering Caulifla was the standout and she was a brash, noisy, arrogant tard, nature.
>Not likely. She’s family. And not in the “help me step bro” way.
I stand by my ship of the tallest. They will have a 14 foot tall child.

>>5363276
Why would I call some dyke from across space and time Cauli? Cauli is our little girl. Caulifla is the bad kind of lesbian. The bitchy kind. Shiiiieeeeeeet
>>
>>5363297
Why kidnap him when you can just convince him to train under you?
All you'd need to do is demonstrate to Karn and Meloka that you'd be able to handle the child and provide for him exactly what he needs to grow up healthy, happy, and STRONG.
>>
>>5363276
Imagine for even a normal Super Saiyan with all that rage they’ve never learned to control.
>>5363297
The problem about taking one of Karn’s kids specifically is the same problem the Covenant learned during the Great War. He can just appear, with no warning seemingly wherever and whenever he wants. Instant Transmission has been caught on Vox cameras several dozen times at least by now. Not even including when he’s training the students.
Sneaking in and eating that bird would be easier than getting away with one of Karn’s kids without frame-perfect time bullshit. If you’re in his universe, he can and WILL find you. He can ALWAYS teleport to any of his kids, despite distance as long as telepathy isn’t blocked.
>>5363306
Anyone capable of that level of planning and magic would having a legitimately easier time crossing over to Universe 6 and stealing their Saiyans.
>>5363315
Ha
>>5363336
But would that actually work? Karn does clearly care more about his children than 98+% of the Saiyan populace.
>>
>>5363343
>He can just appear, with no warning seemingly wherever and whenever he wants

Something about this line made it click for me just how fucking terrifying Karn truly is for the average chump.

You're just sitting at some console in your spaceship, analysing the figures for the battle currently in progress when all of a sudden, without any warning, an 8ft tall muscle-bound giant just appears in the room beside you, an expression of unfathomable rage upon his face. His presence alone, the force of the energy just radiating from him, is enough to send your powerlevel-500 arse flying from your seat to smash into the wall, pinned. Helpless. Then the giant yells, and for an instant the whole world turns green and you cease to exist.

(Then you come to in the form of a little puff of spirit-gas, standing in a queue for the next 100 years. Sucker.)
>>
>>5363383
Jergal or one of the reapers, forgot their name, said that Karn was responsible for like a trillion billion deaths or something. How fucking pissed off is Yemma at Karn's existence, and did he pop a vessel when Hatchiyak was defeated, releasing all those vengeful souls?
>>
>>5363383
Right? He’s so terrifying, even moreso for beings who don’t understand how Instant Transmission works.
>>5363410

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After Karn informed Aku of the defeated Abyss dragon, the Shapeshifting Master of Darkness traveled through the Abyss directly to New Salda where Karn led the Abyssal being down into the former darkness. While exploring the caverns, looking for the bottom-most chamber they stumbled upon a sealed door, Karn opening it to find a sword radiating with ancient magic even older than Aku himself. So Karn took the weapon, then after finding the Abyssal dragon retrieved his Wolf Knight sword as well. Aku then consumed the beast, taking its power into himself. After he regained control Karn took Aku to Chaya, and let him examine her to find out what's wrong. Aku detects the two separate divine magics inside her, speaking as if the two'd gone to war over Chaya's body. Then before leaving, Aku agreed to spar with Karn, showing him the full extent of his power. After their friendly spar Karn went about his day as normal, training his students alongside Meloka, sparring with the kids, and his own training. Now, as we rejoin Karn at the end of the day, Tatsu and Tomi have returned to the ship.

“There you two are, did you have any luck today?” you ask as the door to the mess hall opens, you sensing the uniquely identical ki of your eldest twins as they walk into the room. You turn, seeing their identically excited faces, and can tell they have good news.
“We did it!” they both say together simultaneously, enjoyment clear on their faces. “We finally have a whole team!”
“Great, glad to hear.” you say. “So, when're you all heading out?”
“First thing tomorrow, we're all meeting at the launching pad by Vegeta's palace.” Tatsu and Tomi say. “We're all gonna get breakfast, then head out!”
“Sounds like you two have a pla-tch.” Meloka says, stopping with a twitch. She then pulls your son off her breast, frowning at him while holding him at arm's length. “Aaat! What have I told you? Don't bite me.”

“AAAAAH!” your youngest shouts, you turning your focus back to the twins. “Aah AAAH!”
“So, who're your teammates?” you ask them.
“Been's goona join up, she wants to get stronger just like us.” they say in unison. “Also, Kabash and Ticho are joining us too. We got a full team together!”

Well? How do you react?
>Ask them if they want you to see them off in the morning or not, don't ask about Turles and Ticho
>Find out if Turles knows from the twins and if he doesn't they have to tell him. Or you will

“Wait, Ticho's going with you?” you ask, your interest suddenly piqued. You hadn't imagined that Turles would let his daughter out of his sight, not since he just recently got her away from her awful mother.
“Yeah, she was really excited to join us.” Tatsu and Tomi say, but you can almost feel Meloka's gaze on your back. No doubt thinking the same thing you are. “She wants to get stronger too, strong enough to beat even Broly.”
“I'm ready for a rematch whenever she is.” your son replies casually, you remembering how easily he'd dominated her in their first fight.

“Does Turles know about this?” you ask them, the twins both simultaneously tilting their heads in confusion. “Did he say it was okay?”
“Uhhhh, we didn't ask him?” they both reply, clearly confused. “Why? Is something wrong?”
“You both should check with her and Turles, and make sure she has permission to go.” you tell them both seriously, raising a single finger for emphasis. “If her father agrees to let her go, then everything's fine.”
“Why?” they ask you, not petulantly but with genuine curiosity. “Why do we have to ask her dad? Do we have to find Been and Kabash's dads and ask them too?”

“The situation with Turles and Ticho is.....Different.” you say with a bit of hesitation. Unsure just how much to tell them about that situation. “Turles almost lost his daughter recently, her mother almost took her away back to their planet.”
“Oooooh. I understand.” they reply, sharing a look. You aren't sure just how much they gleaned from what you told them, not knowing how much their friend already told them of her life. But it's best to leave it there. “We'll ask right after supper.”
“That's a good plan.” you tell them, ruffling each of their hair before turning back to Caulifla. “So, how was she?”
“Chaya's doin' better now.” your daughter answers, not quite her usually bubbly, cheery self but still has a smile on her face. “After I went and healed her again like Dr. White asked, she seems to have gotten a lot better. I don't know why it didn't work the first time though.”

“It did work. But this time it was different, your magic wasn't the only one inside your sister.” you tell her as she's looking down at her hand, the twins sitting down and digging in as your daughter's head raises, looking to you as you explain what Aku'd discovered about Tanya's magic fighting hers inside Chaya's body. “You did everything right kiddo. But now we know what to do if there's a next time.”
“Yeah.” Caulifla says, but sounds rather unenthusiastic. You're a bit worried about her, she's seemed down to you for several days now. Ever since your old man passed away.

But as you ponder this, Broly asks her something you miss and her mood brightens immediately, your daughter talking about something you don't quite hear. She's been shouldering a lot of responsibility lately, and you of all people know just how wearing it can be. Perhaps she just needs something to take her mind off of things?

But what do you do now, now that your supper is winding to a close?
>Take Caulifla alone outside and try to get her to open up to you about what's wrong. Tell her you can see that something's clearly bothering her and remind her that she can always come to you with any problem she has

>Go check in on Chaya, and see how she's doing now that Caulifla's magic has overpowered Tanya's that was still waging war inside your daughter

Before anybody asks why we're tackling this now and leaving Chilli to come to us about his problems, they're two completely different situations.

FUCK, if only we could split into 4 dads and do everything at once.
>Telepathically reach out to King Vegeta, ask if he knows which planet your kids are going to be sent to on their mission
Chilli's awfully independent as is, we could contact him later in the day. As for Chaya I don't want to make it seem like we're babying her for her humiliating loss, and we do need to help out Caulifla but that issue with Grandpa Tatsu is only healed with time. Since Tastu & Tomi are going offworld for the first time I think we should see which world King Vegeta sent them to.

As Cauli and Broly finish their discussion, you decide to act. She's obviously still bothered by something, Broly clearly picking up on it as well as he immediately tried to brighten her mood. But you're going to take a more direct approach and try to find the source of the problem she's having. Whatever it may be.

“Hey, Cauli? After you're done eating, mind joining me outside?” you ask, your daughter's expression clearly confused. “We need to talk about something.”
“Uhh, o-okay?” she answers nervously, glancing over to her brother Broly. Who shrugs back, you rising back out of your seat and heading to the door. She doesn't immediately follow, you leaving the mess hall and then the ship behind. Walking down the entrance ramp you take a deep breath of the evening air, watching as the sun sets below the waves. Sighing out you sit down on the sand, crossing your legs and resting your open hands palms-up on your knees. Back straight you focus on your breathing, relaxing your body and slowing your heart rate despite still being in your Ascended Berserker form. At first this had been difficult, but as you've spent more and more time practicing, you've gotten far better at it. You lose yourself in the meditative breathing, until a small voice suddenly speaks up from behind you.

“Daddy? Y-You wanted to talk about something?” Caulifla asks, her nerves clear in her voice. Seems she's clearly worried. You don't turn around, instead continuing to relax while speaking up.
“Come over here, and have a seat. We need to talk kiddo.” you tell her, hoping to relax her as well. But it clearly has a different effect, your daughter not immediately moving. You focus on her ki with your eyes still shut, sensing as she hesitantly makes her way over to your left side and sits down. But you can almost taste how oddly worried your daughter is, something's clearly not right. So you open your eyes, and turn your head to face her. “You seem nervous about something. What's bothering you kiddo? Is everything okay?”
“I....” she starts, choking up on the word. You look down at her with your brows furrowed, concerned for her. She sees you looking, eyes going wide a bit as she gulps nervously. Then once she does, words just seeming start spilling from her. “I'll do better, I promise! I can try harder, and put even more effort in, I know I can! I don't want you or anyone else disappointed, I'll train twice as hard to make it work! I can do better; I know I can! Please don't be mad at me, I promise I won't fail again!"

What is she talking about?

“Woah woah woah, slow down kiddo.” you say, reaching over and wrapping your arm around her shoulders, pulling your daughter over directly against your side. “What are you talking about? What's all this about doing better?”
“You, you mean...?” she says, the tears streaking down her face as she looks up and meets your eyes. “You mean you aren't mad at me? You aren't disappointed?”
“Mad at you? Disappointed? Kiddo, what in the world gave you that idea?” you ask, now picking up your daughter and sitting her in your lap, looking worriedly down at her. “Why would I ever be disappointed in you? You can tell me anything, Cauli. I promise I won't get mad at you for telling me kiddo.”
“Be-Because. I wasn't able to help!” she suddenly blurts out, hands going to rub her teary eyes. “I couldn't save grandpa, I couldn't fix Chaya right, and I couldn't even save that little baby that needed me! I can't do anything right! I try my best, over and over again but I'm just isn't good enough! I help everyone I can, but its never enough! I'm not good e *hic* enough at helping people!”

And as she shouts this, Caulifla fully breaks down into sobs. You had no idea she was struggling like this, and instead of trying to reason with her right now you simply hold her. Caulifla keeps crying hysterically, clutching to your chest as she sobs. You just hold your daughter close, letting her cry herself out as you gently soothe her. She cries and cries, you'd estimate for at least five full minutes before her sobs start losing steam. As she wears herself out you keep holding her close, gently patting her back with one hand while holding her head to you with the other, whispering to her. Through her crying and blubbering you'd learned a few more things you'd been unaware of, despite clearly missing many others. Like the older Jiralhanae warrior who'd succumbed to some sickness despite her best efforts, and the Saiyan woman who's child passed away during childbirth the day before she'd gone down into the sea with you, along with a dozen or so other times both her magic and Stand had been unable to save someone's life.

Each and every failure has clearly hurt your daughter deeply, and unfortunately you have no real idea how to comfort her over this. You aren't a healer or helper, you are a man of war, not a saver of lives like her or Dr. White. So you aren't fully sure what to do to help her. But she's opened herself up to you, sharing something that's deeply troubling her

So, what DO you do or say to help Caulifla with this?

Caulifla... Everybody fails. I may be a protector, not a healer, but there have been people I couldn't protect, a long time ago, either. It's okay to not be able to do everything, but that's why you need to put that energy into next time. Failing isn't a fun time for anyone, but letting it consume you instead of using that energy is just going to wear you out, and stop you from saving the people you could otherwise.

Something like that? Get with her on the level, and use the similar portions of her and Karn's own jobs to help her understand?

+1

Would love to add to the list of Karns own failures or perceived failures. When we weren't strong enough to keep tatsu from losing his limbs, when it looked like we had gotten the whole team killed.amd we assumed the false super Saiyan form the very first time. When we were fighting Nefarious and he mind controlled us, and was only saved by Towa. Every time we assumed the berserk form early on it was a fight just to keep control of ourselves.

Failure happens, and often. It hurts, it is painful. It is discouraging. But it is part of the process, to achieving true strength. We learn from our failures, and become stronger and better for it.

Did you try your best? Did you give it your all? If the answer is yes, you will never disappoint me, even if you fail.

That's all I got, sorry for phone posting.

it's great that you want to help people but you have to remember that some times you and your happiness has to come first.

Kiddo I'm not disappointed with you or your siblings. The only things I expect from you is you have the strength to live your life how you want to and that your happy with that life.

As she cries herself out, just clinging to you as you hold her, you struggle for a moment to find the words to really say what you want. You hate to see your daughter torn up like this, even moreso than when one of your kids is covered in blood. Physical injuries that don't maim heal, but problems in their hearts hurt you differently.

“Caulifla, I need to tell you something important.” you say, your daughter's messy face raising up to look at you. Eyes red, tear marks streaking across her face, your own chest hurts to see her this distraught. But you harden your resolve, and do you best to help her. “Everybody fails.”
“Wh-What?!” she says, shocked. “No, you've never failed. You're Daddy, you've never failed anybody!”
“I wish that were true, kiddo. But there have been people I couldn't protect. Even I can't save everyone.” you tell her, taking your right hand off her back and look down at it. For a moment you remember the Siege, and how despite your best efforts so many were killed. “But I wasn't strong enough to protect Tatsu and keep him from losing his limbs. I almost got your mother, Turles, Leyas and Sarada killed when I wasn't strong enough to stop the Greys and their war machines. When the Covenant attacked us here, I couldn't save everyone from them. One time I even got my body controlled by a very bad creature, and he almost used me to kill your mother and King Vegeta. I have failed a whole lot.”

She doesn't say anything, jaw hanging open as she watches you just listing off your own failures. Which, from her earlier opinion of you must be a real shock. But you keep going, because you have a point you need to get across to her.

“I may be a good warrior and protector, letting everyone behind me feel safer, but I can't fix someone when they're hurt.” you continue. “There have been people I couldn't protect. Even now, with all my power, I still can't protect everyone. That bastard Lobo showed me that much. Even as strong as I am, I can't save everyone. And neither can you kiddo. Everyone fails.”

With your last sentence her eyes widen, your daughter really hearing what you're saying. This is a lesson that is going to stick with her.

“So what should we do? Failure hurts, and if you do anything long enough, eventually you'll fail at it.” you tell her, Caulifla drinking in your words and pondering them as she looks down at her open hands. “Failures happen often. It is painful and discouraging to fail. But does that mean you just give up because you failed once?”

“Your failures can consume you, eating away at your soul until there's nothing left. But I don't want that for you.” you tell her. “Instead take those failures, and learn from them. Failure is a part of the process, part of achieving true strength. We can learn from them, find out what if anything we did wrong, and keep working on improving ourselves. None of us are perfect, kiddo. And even people like your mother and I can make mistakes. But we don't let those mistakes define us. We learn from them, and grow stronger. Just like I know you can Cauli. You have a choice. You can either beat yourself up over each failure, and let that consume you. Or you can turn your failures into experience, into the drive to do better and keep pushing forward, saving those who you would otherwise be too busy beating yourself up to help. And I'm proud of you, kiddo.”

As you say this you see her eyes start shining, and a moment later tears begin falling from her eyes again. But this time they aren't tears of sadness.

“You have an extraordinary talent, and I'm so proud of you for using it to help others.” you tell her. “You don't just keep it all for yourself, but instead choose to help your fellow Saiyans. And even the Jiralhanae, when they ask you to as well. But you have to remember something important.”
“What's that?” she asks, confused again.

“You have to remember that sometimes, you and your own happiness come first.” you tell her seriously. “No one else will be as concerned for you and your happiness as you yourself will. You have to do what makes you happy. And no matter what that is, what you find your joy in, as long as you always try your best and never quit, I'll be proud of you kiddo.”
“D-Daddy....” she says, again burying her face in your chest. You can feel her trembling a bit, is she crying again?
“Come on Cauli, let's head back inside.” you tell her, holding your daughter close as you rise up to your feet. You hold her as you head inside, carrying your daughter to the ship's showers. A quick wash later, joining the rest of your family as they finish up, you all then head on to bed.

But before you go to bed, will you do anything else?

As you and your family all go off to bed, you telepathically reach out to your firstborn son, who's far away on another planet. In fact, you aren't even sure exactly WHERE the planet he's on is. Something you'll have to look into later. But as you enter your room, the faintly glowing crystal sword still on your bed where you'd left it, you decide to ask him about it.

“Hey Chilli, are you up?” you think to your son. “Found something rather interesting today, and think you might be interested in it.”
“Dad? Sure, give me a moment.” he replies, ending the telepathic link. Your brows furrow a bit, but you give him his space as you lift the ancient weapon off the bed.
“What's that?” Broly asks, having not seen the weapon before.
“Tha looks cool!” little Kayle says, eyes wide as she looks at the blade. “I bet tha's a sword for huntin' mons'ers!”
“Yeah, monsters!” Maz adds, to which you smirk.

“It might be. But until your brother Chilli looks over it, nobody touch it okay?” you tell them, lifting it up and setting the blade on the room's highest shelf. Not that it would stop them from grabbing it, but to show them that it is not to be touched. “I don't know what it does, but I don't want anyone getting hurt.”
“Okay!” the younger twins say, you realizing that Tatsu and Tomi haven't returned from talking with Turles yet either. Perhaps they're arguing with him? Or maybe Ticho is trying to convince her dad to let her go.
“I'm back. Sorry, was in the middle of something.” Chilli suddenly replies. “You said you found something, right?”

And as you get your family settled into bed, Meloka grabbing the dimmer switch with telekinesis and letting the room go almost entirely dark, you quickly fill him in on the events of the past couple days. From battling the Abyss and the dragon dwelling at the bottom of the sea, to Chaya's loss to Tanya and the divine magic warring inside of her to Aku and yourself returning to the sea and finding the sword, to Aku devouring the Abyssal Dragon and you getting your Wolf Knight greatsword back. He's mostly silent throughout your explanation, only asking for clarification on a few points. Especially the magic warring inside his sister's body, and how Aku reacted to the newfound, wide-bladed crystal sword. And once you've told him everything and gotten him back up to speed, he starts with another question.

“Would you be able to bring the sword over tomorrow?” he asks you. “I think I'll need Hyoizaburoo's expertise as well, he's surprisingly good with others' magical items. But I don't think he'd hold up to well under our gravity.”
“I'm sure I could find a chance to, would the morning or afternoon work better for you?” you reply, and his mind pulls back from the link for a moment. No doubt going over whatever else he has going on in his life.
“Morning'd be better, but either's fine. Just let me know when you'll be coming.” he replies, and again you feel his attention drawn away from the telepathic link. “Hey, I gotta go. Talk more tomorrow.”

Then without waiting for a reply, he ends the telepathic communication. Odd, you wonder what he could be up to. Then remembering the Sangheili incident from before the tournament, feel a small knot of worry form in your gut. He's strong, clever, and most important of all ruthless, so you doubt he'll be in any serious trouble on such a low-powered world. But the way he just ended the link sits with you as you lay in bed, worrying over it until sleep finally takes you. Your slumber is deep, not even moving until your body wakes itself up several hours later. You feel your eyes slowly opening, and immediately the first thing on your mind is again the conversation with your son. You hadn't sensed any real worry or anxiety through the link, so it couldn't have been bad news. So why did he go?

“Bah, I'm getting all worked up for nothing.” you mutter to yourself, little Okira on your chest squirming a bit in her sleep before settling back down. But you're well and awake now, which leaves only one question:

You ponder checking in with Chilli, or going to see Chaya's condition, but instead of either you decide to be a bit selfish this morning. Instead, you use your telekinesis to gently lift everyone up and off of you, allowing you to slip unnoticed out of bed. You move silently, setting everyone back down on the bed as you stand at the foot of it and remember your conversation with Caulifla yesterday. You have to keep getting stronger too, strong enough to resist whatever or whoever would try and impose their will on you or your family. So you quietly dress in a simple training uniform, then float out of your bedroom and avoid making a sound until the door slides almost silently shut behind you. Once in the hallway you don your boots, and start walking towards the Gravity Chamber in the center of your ship. No one else is out in the hallway with you, and your trip into the chamber is uneventful.

“Alright, let's get to work.” you say to yourself, letting your body revert back down to your base form while walking over to the controls and setting it straight to 50x New Salda's gravity. You brace yourself, then fire up the training machine. Intense gravity slams down onto you, but as braced for it as you were, it doesn't drop you to the ground. You embrace the familiar stress it places on your body, turning away from the machine and falling forward to land on your open palms, stopping yourself from hitting the ground. Holding the position for a second, making sure you don't use that momentum to cheat, you then go into your morning routine. “One. Two. Three. Four.”

One thousand push-ups, followed by one thousand vertical sit-ups later, you release the bar with your legs and flip backwards to land on your feet. Ready to really get into your routine when suddenly you hear the door start to open. You turn, and see none other that Chaya stagger into the room. She's clearly struggling with this gravity, more than fifty percent more than she's used to, staggering and falling to the ground after only a couple steps.

“Morning kiddo. You're up early.” you say, walking over to the machine to turn it down to a level she's more ready to handle.
“Wait!” she calls, stopping you in place. You turn back towards her, and see fire in her eyes as she pushes herself back upright. “Don't turn it down.”
“I'm glad you've got the spirit Chaya, but your body is still reco-” you start, but she shakes her head and interrupts you again while rising back onto her feet.
“No. Dr. White cleared me a few minutes ago.” she answers. “And I need your help. I gotta get strong, stronger than ever!”

“Look, Chaya, about your fight.” you say, but yet again your daughter interrupts you. Making your left eyebrow twitch, but you don't interrupt her back.
“That's not it. I already talked with Vox.” she says, you wondering if she spoke with him telepathically at some point. “If the Champion loses, they don't just get a rematch to reclaim their title. There are only two ways to fight a Champion: climb back up the ladder, or find and defeat the Undefeated.”

“The Undefeated?” you ask, Chaya piquing your interest. “Who's that?”
“Seventeen years ago, the Champion of Dreadzone was a guy called Soba the Undefeated. He defended his title for five straight years, never losing a single match. But then one day he just....Disappeared. Vanished right from out of his ship, never to be seen again. If I can find him, beat him, and take the original Champion belt from him, then I can fight the current Champion to see who really deserves the title! So I gotta start training real hard!”

“Well I'm glad you're motivated, but...” you say, unsure exactly how to phrase this. It honestly sounds like something Vox told her to send her on a wild goose chase, leaving Dreadzone and not causing him any problems. But something else about it doesn't add up. “But how does someone just vanish? Doesn't that story sound a bit made up to you?”
“That's what I said.” she replies, panting a bit from holding herself upright in gravity she's clearly not ready to handle. And despite what she claims Dr. White said, you aren't sure she should be up and moving, much less in this. “I told Vox he just didn't want me to come take my title back, but he told me that the man was from a planet called Yardrat. And get this! His people are the ones who CREATED the Instant Transmission technique! Cooler even confirmed it! I asked him just a few minutes ago where he learned his Instant Transmission from! And you know what he told me?”

“Wait, no way.” you say, shocked at the coincidence. There's no way. Is there? “Soba?”
“SOBA!!” Chaya shouts, excitedly. “He met the guy, and that's how he learned it! So now I GOTTA find him, and challenge him for that belt so I can get my title back!”

It all sounds just so, it's just such an unbelievable coincidence you can hardly accept it. But your daughter's fully on board with the idea, and her eyes are burning with a determination you haven't seen in her eyes since the fight she had with that splitjaw. You want to see that fire in her eyes, to see her driving herself towards her goal.

But is this what is best for her?

cont
>>
>>5364577
That doubt echoes through your mind, as you gaze upon your determined daughter's face. It is good to see that fire back in her eyes, that determination you haven't seen in her in a while now. But is the the way you should encourage her to go? Is this the path you should encourage her to walk down, or should you try and dissuade her from pursuing Dreadzone entirely, to try and find another purpose in her life? Or is it even your call to make? She's your daughter, but do you really have the right to decide how she'll live? Your old man Tatsu never tried to stop you, only warned you of dangers and pushed you to be the best you can be. Is that what you should do with your own daughter's life?

Well? What do you do?
>Ask her why she wants to be Dreadzone Champion so badly. Try and understand her passion and the why she fights, then make your decision as to how you'll proceed
>Tell her that Dreadzone has made her weak, she's not going back until she's unlearned all of her bad habits and re-learned how to fight from the ground up
>Let her know, in no uncertain terms, that this whole 'Champion' thing is over. It is time to stop playing around like a kid and devote herself wholly to being a strong warrior and protector of her fellow Saiyans
>Tell Chaya that if pursuing that title means so much to her that you won't stop her, but if she's serious about you training her then you're not going to hold anything back

We never really asked before, so I'm curious as to why exactly she considers the title so important.

New solution to this Dreadzone problem; Karn goes and becomes the Champion, kicking the shit out of Tanya. Now if Chaya wants to be Champ, she'll have to push herself properly (and become a proper warrior) so as to catch up to her dad.
>>
>>5364577
I'm gonna laugh my ass off when Chaya gets her shit rocked and the guy keeps his title of undefeated. Instead of going back to the grind you decide to go and fight a guy who got fucking bored of beating so much ass and dipped without putting in his two weeks. Damn.
>>
>>5364605
Alternatively, Karn tracks down and beats Soba's wrinkled ass on camera.
>>
>>5364608
Yeah, we've gone for the diplomatic approach here of asking, "So why do you care so much about this pissy fucking fight league?", so that we can try to convince her to lay it aside with FACTS AND LOGIC, but our true attitude, should that fail, will absolutely be, "No. You're fucking done with that pansy-arse attention-whore shit."

Re: the second option (retrain her from the ground up, unlearning bad habits), maybe we should pass that off to Meloka, rather than having Karn do it.

“Why?” you ask, Chaya freezing in place as she looks at you. Her head tilts to the side, eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
“Why? Why what?” she asks you, not understanding your question. So you clarify, leaving no room for misinterpretation.
“Why does it matter? Why do you want to be the 'Dreadzone Champion' so badly?” you ask her seriously. “What is so important about that title?”
“So important?” she asks you, still not getting it. “I thought she was my friend! But she took it away from me and tried to kill me! So now I have to get her back and give her back everything she did to me two-fold!”

“Is that it then?” you ask her, still calm. Which stops her shouting, your daughter again looking confused. “Is it only because she betrayed and beat you that you want it back? Or is it for revenge? She hurt you, so now you're gonna break her?”
“Well, no.” your eldest replies after a moment's thought. “That's not it. Or at least not all of it.”
“So, what then?” you ask her. “Why is the title so important to you?”
“I...I...I don't know.” she says suddenly, the fire in her eyes going out. She slumps down to the floor, legs trembling from the strain of holding her up in the intense gravity for so long. And as you question her, your daughter's focus disappears, and she succumbs.

Chaya drops, you immediately turning from her to the machine and quickly deactivate it. Turning back around, you see your daughter looking down at her hands, which are also trembling slightly as she stays down on her knees.

“Why?” she says, not to you but to herself. “Why does it matter?”

You're about to speak up, but instead decide to keep your mouth shut. She's actually thinking through things, instead of just acting, and you're hesitant to interrupt her. So, you stand over her as your daughter seemingly re-examines her entire life. At least that's what you gather, judging from what you can hear of her muttering. Seeing her lose that fire that had motivated her is hard to watch, but your daughter knowing why she acts and does what she does will be good for her.

“Why does any of it matter?” you hear, and feel your brow raise. “We're all just gonna die anyways, like grandpa did. We all die, so what's the point? Why do I fight?”
“That's...Not what I meant.” you think to yourself, but again don't speak up. She's thinking deeply, completely unaware she's muttering to herself aloud. So, you let her keep going, and find a reason for why she does what she does. And after a few more minutes of her unintelligibly muttering to herself, she finally freezes in place, eyes wide in realization. She then looks up, directly into your eyes, and answers your question.

“Because it's fun.”

“....What?” you say after a moment of startled confusion.
“Because it's fun.” she reiterates, clenching her fists and rising back up to her feet. “I want to be Champion because it's fun. I like being the champion; I like fighting. I have fun fighting all sorts of different people with strange and different powers all the time. I like hanging out and talking with all my fans through the screens, teaching people all across the universe the basics of fighting while I'm training. I like everything about fighting. It's the best.”

You're honestly surprised a bit by such a straightforward answer, but after a moment's thought realize you shouldn't be. Of COURSE that's why your little Chaya, who you realize isn't so little anymore as she stands tall, declaring she likes fighting in Dreadzone simply because she likes fighting.

“I lost, and it still hurts. A lot more than I thought it would.” she says, looking down at the nasty scar on her right arm where she almost lost it by being careless. Clenching her fist she then looks back up to you, meeting your eyes with that same determination blazing to life once more. “I wasn't taking it seriously, and I paid the price for it. But I'm never gonna stop fighting! I'll get stronger, and become champion again so I can keep fighting! Monsters, machines, people, I have so much more fun whenever I get to fight something new and different. I'll keep fighting until the day I die, and even then I'll keep fighting as a ghost too! I'll never stop fighting!”

You can see the passion blazing even brighter behind her eyes now, and can almost feel the pressure of her determined will as she declares her intent. Your daughter now knows the WHY behind why she fights, at least. And as far as reasons go, it's not exactly complex. But does it have to be? You've known all sorts of beings: those who fight for family, for their people, for money, for causing pain, and a host of other reasons. Fighting simply because you LIKE fighting is just as valid as a lot of the others you've heard over your lifetime, and even more so than others. Hell, if you'd grown up in her shoes, you aren't sure your answer wouldn't be the same.

Vote open until 11am EST, one hour before episode resumes

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 179 Paused-
>>
>>5364815
And that's it for tonight, I'm leaving this vote open until just before we resume at noon EST. It is too important to leave for just a half hour near the end of the night's run time. So this one's staying up until then, giving me enough time to count the votes and get to writing the opening post for this episode's finale. So, enjoy the run so far? Ready to do your part in determining Chaya's fate, and how she'll move forward? Do you like her reason for wanting to get her title back, or do you think she's just being a dumb kid? And, most importantly, are you ready?
>>
>>5364815
>If this is really what she wants, you're not going to stop her. And if she's going up against someone with Instant Transmission, you figure it's about time she learn the technique as well

>"But before we start, you have to understand that playing in the ball pit too much left you without your killer's instincts. You have to get that sharpened up again. This is going to be the roughest training I've ever put you through."

We should be supportive, but firm. Gotta fix Chaya's gaps; Dreadzone fighters are not her only foes thanks to the Time Bitch.
>>
>>5364815
>>Tell Chaya that you disagree with her wanting to return to Dreadzone, but she's an adult and can make her own decisions. But you'll always help her train if she asks for your help, you'll never turn her away
>"Honestly, Dreadzone seems like a waste of time. But I gotta admit I'm curious about that Soba guy."
>>
>>5364812
Why stop at the Dreadzone, though? Go out, see the universe, antagonize everyone and get into fights. Become the eternal challenger. Fight anyone and everyone. Let them give it their all and respond in kind. If fighting is so important she shouldn't be stopping at some paltry championship title. She should be learning as much about fighting as she can. Sometimes that means going out and starting fights instead of just waiting for them to come to her. Maybe at the end of it she can truly perfect her fist. Probably not, but that's no reason not to try.

Pshaw. Aim for the stars. There are so many in the sky. Grab them all. Silly girl.

>"Well then....so be it. Just remember why I am Strong, and still getting stronger. To be the strongest so we are all free of that Pink Bitch."
>"If that Arena is where you think you will find your fights to make you reach my level, then that is fine as well."
>"I want One thing from you, while I think playing Champion in a funneled box is no adequate substitute to seriously fighting for your life. I want you to look me in the eyes, and tell me you will never let that fire I see fade and get complacent again."
>"You fail next time, no more Dreadzone, because I will sign up, take your title. And quit."
>"You taking it personally that Tanya tried to kill you aside, I want you to think. What were you doing there?"
>"It is a deathmatch competition at the end of the day, and the only way that Tanya won is because she took you seriously from the start. Much like how I take all my fights."
>"You never looked at her as a serious opponent, overlooking her for the whole time you knew her. Imagine the rage a Warrior like her felt, seeing you sit on that branded throne, taking each fight for fun, no matter what."
>"The last time you fought like her before your loss, was that damnable splitjaw you tore apart."
>"If you fight for fun, and let your opponents live, then I want you to compensate for that. Not double, not triple, not even quadruple. I want your absolute focus on becoming the strongest, so that the next fight won't be so close. That you can be so strong you don't have to fight for anything but fun."
>"And don't be content with Dreadzone. Go out into the universe. Find the Sobo's the Undefeated. The truely strong don't waste time with the pageants you've been putting on, because they know a forgone conclusion is not a worthwhile battle to improve from."
>"Speaking of, don't be to angry at Tanya for usurping you're throne. She and Vox we're planning it for awhile. You were stagnating there, and much like the warriors out in the corners of the universe that aren't involved in the spotlight, Vox was concerned for his brand."
>'You did your best to make the show entertaining, but in the desire to show off to your fans and entice viewers, you lost your instinct for what really fighting was like, while also not addressing the issue of it being a almost guarantee you'd win regardless."
>"That sloppiness is why you loss and why Vox set that match to begin with."
>"Dreadzone can be your throne, but if you want battle, you have to chase it, like me and your mother back when we went out to Conquer worlds. Find the real fighters out there, and remember that moment you lost to Tanya, and never lose to anyone again."
>"So with that in mind, if your going up against someone with Instant Transmission, I figure it's about time you learn the technique as well"
>"And You have to get that sharpened up again. This is going to be the roughest training I've ever put you through."
One more part
>>
>>5364815
>If this is really what she wants, you're not going to stop her. And if she's going up against someone with Instant Transmission, you figure it's about time she learn the technique as well

But also let her know that she's our baby girl, and she almost got killed due to her carelessness. We want her to be happy, but we never want to see her get that close to death again. She's about to go through so much training, I hope she can keep up her determination!
>>
>>5364815
>Be honest with her. Tell her that Dreadzone is holding her back. For years it pit her against weakling after weakling, never pushing her to meet her limits, and that made her complacent in both her training and her fighting style. The thrill of a good fight is something all Saiyans love, but we should use that desire to push ourselves and our friends to greater heights - so that our future spars with them will be even more thrilling, and so that we're ready for when our enemies come. Dreadzone isn't concerned with making anyone the strongest or the most skilled, it's only concerned with making the most money. The best fights the universe has to offer won't be found there, they'll be found among other warriors that fight with their lives on the line.
>After explaining all of this, make sure that she knows you're going to support her regardless of what path she takes in life; you just want to see her become the best version of herself she wants to be.
I think that summarizes my thoughts well. We can't avoid the criticism, it's too dangerous for her to ignore it. But nor can we completely hardball her on this. We need to let her know what we think, and then support whatever decision she makes after we inform her.
>>
>>5364860
>"When you finish, why don't you take both belts and roam the galaxy? Become the Ultimate Challenger, Force Vox to raise champions from Dreadzone to send after you, collecting their belts, and hunting for Warriors in rough of space. No matter where, no matter when, if you can find your opponents that will make you feel like Tanya did, to push you to come back even harder."
>"That could be a better use of you're time."
>>
>>5364815
Of course she's a Goku...
>"Why not explore the Galaxy and see what you can find? You don't NEED the Dreadzone to get good fights or share what you've learned. There's a whole Galaxy out there Chaya, you're just holding yourself back the longer you stay with Vox."

Yeah, I agree with bits of all of this. While I wouldn't want to belittle Chaya's passion by telling her Dreadzone is a waste of time (which it is), she needs to expand her goals and also remember the core teachings: there's always someone stronger out there who will want to control your destiny.

>If that's how you really feel Chaya, then what kind of Saiyan would I be to deny that pleasure from you? But Dreadzone isn't the end all and be all of capable fighters; I know more warriors than I could count that would make Vox's money making machine look like Little League Tuffle Wrestling. I want you to always remember these words: There is always someone out there stronger than you. And that someone may oppose your way of life or even want to destroy you, like the Supreme Kai of Time.

>That's why I want you to get stronger. You said you love fighting, right? Then use that passion for fighting to improve, to push your limits and get stronger, so nobody in the universe can push you around. So don't rest on your laurels as the Champion of Dreadzone fighting tin cans and weaklings, seek out stronger fighters and become stronger yourself.

>Tell you what, kiddo. I'll help you find this Soba guy and give you some tips on how to deal with that Instant Transmission technique, under one condition: You'll train under me in the most intense training regiment of your life. It's your call to tap out of training at any time, but if you're really passionate about this, I KNOW you'll knock it out of the park.
>>
>>5364923
I'm not belittling her passion, I'm trying to get her to understand that her passion doesn't begin and end on Vox's cameras.
She can do all of these things and more outside of the Dreadzone, she just needs to be made aware of that and internalize that idea.
>>
>>5364937
>I'm not belittling her passion
I sure am though. One title belt is all she wants? Small potatoes. The Dreadzone Championship isn't the Number 1 Headband it's not worth sole pursuit. If you aren't shooting for the absolute top then shoot for everything else you can possibly get your hands on.

And because trophy fights are only one aspect of fighting. She loves to fight but she doesn't even try partaking in other kinds than spectacle fights. So much more out there.
>>

Strongly opposing any votes of "If this is what she wants, you're not going to stop her."
Do you know how badly it fucks kids up when their parents just give them whatever they want, all the time, because they want to appease the kids' wishes/immediate happiness?

>I want cake for dinner!
>>No Billy, it's not very nutritious, and will make you feel ill
>But it's yummy and I want it!
>>Well, okay. If you really want it, I won't stand in your way.

Kids are very poor at setting aside immediate gratification/satisfaction/happiness in favour of an alternate which will yield better results long-term (while being less immediately fun/enjoyable). It's the parents job to know better, to lay down the law, and decide upon + enforce this superior long-term alternate for them. You are not always their friend, you are their parent. The kid might be upset, but the important thing to realise is that that is perfectly fine; in the future they won't be, and they will thank you for your wisdom.

Actually, that's a really fucking good point. If Chaya wants fun, and we want her fighting tough opponents rather than slacking, how about we see if we can get her into the Ginyu Force? (This is assuming Freeza sends them on missions which are actually difficult)

I'm sure they'd love her with her dancing and posing and shit.

She'd have to learn a little (lot) of discipline before that though. We'd have our work cut out for us. Especially with her being at that "know it all" stage of her life. Could be a decent fit though. And most of the Ginyus are pretty personable too which helps get her used to not being treated as a living deity by a billion trillion telemundo watchers.

Though if she does want to keep up her online presence it may be hard being part of the Ginyus. They get some black ops stuff from time to time.

Are you really going to prompt her to spend years/decades wandering through space chasing after some guy who has been under the radar for decades, who can just instantly jump to the other side of the universe the second he's found? (He clearly doesn't want to be found and isn't interested in any Dreadzone fight/competitor, so he's not going to stick around for that bullshit). What a waste of time, and what a way to let your powerlevel go stagnant through spending time on shit other than training.

I think it strikes the best balance.
Tell her why the Dreadzone is shit. Urge her strongly to move on from it, on to proper pursuits. Try to make the decision to quit it hers, after being convinced by us, rather than outright forcing/forbidding. Less chance of backlash that way.

“Honestly kiddo, I think this whole 'Dreadzone' thing has just been holding you back.” you tell her, seeing her eyes widen a bit in surprise. “For years it has done nothing but pit you against weakling after weakling, never really pushing your limits. And that made you complacent. You quit trying and it shows. We all love a good fight, but that desire should be harnessed to push ourselves and our friends to greater heights. So we'll all be ready when our enemies, the real threats who want to see us all dead come.”

Judging by her face, she's clearly thinking over what you say. So you don't stop now, and really drive the point home.

“Dreadzone isn't concerned with making you the strongest or most skilled fighter you can be kiddo. Vox is only concerned with making as much money off of you as he can.” you say, and see her nodding along. At least she already realizes that much about her 'boss'. “The best fights this universe has to offer won't be found there. Sure you can fight different things, but they'll never be the best fights. The best fights you will have, in my experience will always be found on actual battlefields, between warriors fighting with their lives and everything they hold dear on the line.”

She looks down at her hands again, or more accurately the scars on her arms from the lightning as you walk over. You then kneel beside her, laying a hand on her shoulder. Chaya'd been so deep in thought that she hadn't noticed you approach, your touch startling her.

“But at the end of the day, kiddo, it's your life.” you tell her. “I may disagree with you going back to Dreadzone, and think that it is a waste of your time and effort, but I won't stop you. No matter what you choose to do, or what path you decide to go down, I'll still support you kiddo. I just want what's best for you, to see you become the best version of yourself you can be.”
“I-Really?” she asks, looking back up to you. “You mean it?”
“Of course kiddo.” you say, ruffling her hair before rising back up to your feet. “No matter what. You're an adult, which means you have to make these decisions for yourself. And deal with the consequences that come with them. Now, are you ready?”
“Ready?” she asks you, confused. “For what?”
“You said you wanted me to train you, right?” you ask her, walking back over to the chamber's controls. “Or have you changed your mind?”

“Let's go!” she replies, rising back up to her feet with her fists clenched, legs spaced apart and braced for the increase in gravity. “I'm ready! I'm gonna be the best I can be!”

So, how do you start this off?
>30x gravity, where she usually trains. She may be determined, but her body's probably still recovering
>40x gravity, give her a challenge but not too great on her first real day back training
>50x gravity, you're not holding back and forcing her to work at your level
>20x, but instead of just working out start sparring and using your Instant Transmission. Teach her how it works and can be used in a fight

No need to risk injuring her by playing it hardcore.

Also, avoid the Instant Transmission options; we don't want to prompt her to pursue the Dreadzone course of action, or leave her mind inclined in that direction.

"If you're wanting to train with me, I'm not going to hold back." you tell her, switching the chamber's setting back to 50x New Salda's gravity then looking back towards her. “So if you're wanting to train, I'm going to be pushing you harder than ever before. I won't be holding back. So, are you really ready?”
“I'm ready.” she replies, not exactly excitedly but she sounds just... Ready. You see that determined fire still in her eyes. So you nod once, and throw the switch.

“Let's do this.” you reply, and feel that familiar gravity slam back down onto your shoulders. It crashes down onto Chaya's back as well, forcing her down to a knee and her hand. But she catches herself, and slowly but surely pushes herself back up to her feet. You see her eyes blazing to life despite her body trembling from the pressure, she's clearly not backing down. But you'll see just how far this newfound determination of hers will take her.
“One thousand pushups.” you say, once again assuming the position. She struggles for a couple seconds to do the same, but once she's ready nods to you. “Go. One. Two. Three.”
“Four!” Chaya continues, the two of you continuing to call them out. And to your surprise she actually manages to hang with you for around the first hundred, but after that she quickly slows down. Meanwhile you keep up the almost-mechanical pace, pushing your body at a constant pace. Chaya falls behind quickly, losing more and more ground by the second as you forge ahead. But she doesn't give up, and keeps pushing. “Six ninety nine! Seven hundred!”

You finish your thousand after another minute or two, pushing yourself back up to your feet and readying yourself to do the one thousand vertical sit-ups as well. But Chaya doesn't rise up, instead continuing to crank out her reps instead of giving up. Her arms are trembling badly, sweat dripping from her face, but she doesn't quit. So you watch, counting along with her as your daughter finishes up her thousand reps.

“One THOUSAND!” she calls out triumphantly, and immediately collapses to the ground. She doesn't get back up right away, laying there and struggling to catch her breath. You walk over to check on her, still a bit worried about her health after everything, and see her eyes are completely unfocused. But then she snaps to, and that determination immediately fills her vision again. Without pause she plants both palms down on the ground, and starts pushing herself upright once again. You take a step back as she rises, giving her plenty of room, and to your surprise she actually does it. Chaya gets back up to her feet, her determined eyes meeting yours. “What's next?”

Chaya rises once again with fire in her eyes, determined to continue. So you continue, pushing her to keep up throughout your entire morning workout routine. She can't keep pace with you, but she never gives up either, finishing each and every set you do as well. After an hour, longer than it usually takes due to having to stop for Chaya to catch up, your workout is done. And so you walk over to the machine, shutting the fifty times gravity off as your daughter lay slumped on the floor, exhausted.

“Not bad kiddo. Wasn't expecting you to get through it.” you say honestly, offering her your hand. “Now let's get washed up, and get something to eat.”

She takes your hand with some clear effort, you pulling her off the ground onto wobbly legs, but she stays upright. The two of you then exit the gravity chamber, only to see your crewmen Orlen walking your way.

“Ah, Chaya! There you are!” he says, running forward. “We've found it.”
“Found it? Found what?” you ask him, not in the loop. He looks up at you, then over to Chaya, confused. So you look over to Chaya as well, your daughter grinning.
“Planet Yardrat.” Chaya answers. “Soba's homeworld. You really found it?”
“Yes. It was deep in the records, seems a team of super-elites were sent to take it years ago. But they were wiped out, and Planet Yardrat's conquest was set back. Currently the next scheduled attack isn't until Age 752.”
“That's plenty of time.” she says, you finally understanding. She's still determined to go after this warrior, and track him down. “Once I'm ready, I'll go kick his ass.”

Well? Do you say anything?
>If she's going, she should wait and go as part of the invasion force. If she wants to fight him, he'll certainly be front and center defending his home world right?

"If you're going to hunt him down on planet Yardrat, you should probably wait until you can join the invasion force." you say aloud. "Once his home world is under threat, and his people at risk for extinction, he'll no doubt resurface to protect it. No way a fighter would just let their planet and people be wiped out, retired or not.”
“If he doesn't accept a one on one before that, you bet I'll be there.” Chaya replies to you easily. “I'll make him fight me, one way or another. Good job Orlen.”
“No problem.” he answers, then glances to you with a hint of worry. But when you don't react he relaxes, you aren't sure why though. But you don't press him, as your stomach growls audibly to be fed. “Ah.”

“We'll talk more later. I gotta bunch of questions.” Chaya tells him, the two of you continuing on your way to the showers. After quickly bathing the morning's workout you both get dressed, then you reach out with your ki sense to find Meloka, along with all of the kids except Tatsu, Tomi, and Chilli all already in the mess hall. Heading that way you expand your ki sense, and after a few moments of searching you sense the twins away near the center of the city. They aren't alone, dozens of ki signatures near them. But they're all dwarfed by the familiar ki of Turles. His energy dwarfs everyone near him, and that's when you realize that there have to be dozens of teams of Saiyans gathered around. Looks like there were more than just your kids looking to go out on attacks.

“Mornin' hun, mornin' Chaya.” Meloka says as you and Chaya walk into the mess hall, her eyes narrowed a bit. “Enjoy your workout this morning?”
“Uh-huh! Dad whupped me today.” Chaya says casually, your wife raising a brow as Chaya sits down as if nothing happened. “But I did it! I did the same workout today he did.”
“Getting through it once is pretty good.” you say, sitting next to her across from your wife. “But it'll be even tougher tomorrow. You're gonna have to try even harder then.”
“I'll do it.” she answers you, that same fire still present in her eyes. One difficult morning workout couldn't possibly ever break her spirit. But we'll see how long that drive lasts. “We can go even higher tomorrow!”
“Getting a little ahead of ourselves, aren't we?” you say with a laugh as one of Silver's people brings out another platter each for you and Chaya. And to your surprise, you recognize the smell immediately.

“Wait, is that...Mindslayer?” you ask, looking down at the tray confused. “Where? When?”
“Turns out your friends were very thankful you'd taken care of that Abyss.” Silver says from behind you. Which almost causes you to flinch, as you hadn't sensed him getting behind you at all. Just how good of an assassin WAS he in his prime?

“While you were still unconscious, Alice saw a bunch of them crab folk dragging Mindslayer bodies up onto the beach.” he continues. “Your wife came out, and they thanked you for your hard work by bringing these bodies ashore for us to feast on. So once they left, I had my assistants cut them down into pieces able to be moved. We filled the ship's stockroom full of this meat, both freezers are packed to the brim. Even if we eat this for every meal, knowing how much you all like to eat, we'll have a supply for at least two months.”

“That much?” you say, genuinely shocked. “Looks like I owe them one now.”
“Thish ish good”! Chaya exclaims through a mouthful of food, swallowing before continuing. “This is the best tasting I've ever had!”
“Their meat is really good quality. Just needed a few extra touches of flavor, a few different spices to really elevate the flavor.” Silver says proudly. “Shame there won't be any more after this is gone.”
“Wait, gone?” Chaya asks him in shock. “What do you mean, gone?”
“Your old man over here sealed up the dark hole they crawl out of.” Silver answers her. “So unless another hole of darkness opens up, there won't be any more Mindslayers on New Salda.”

“Good riddance.” Broly says, no doubt still angry about the time they almost got him with their psychic attack. “I hope we never see another live one.”
“Awwww. But I like eatin' em.” Tomi says despondently. “They're the best food ever.”

The conversation turns to the different foods as you focus on eating, savoring some of the last Mindslayer meat you'll probably ever have. Then almost before you realize it, your meal is done. The only one still eating is Chaya, your daughter having been answering her siblings' questions the entire time.

Well? What now?

That particular part in Baki is wild because the author decided to do a one shot in another magazine about them making love right after that.

As you sigh with contentedness from a full stomach, you decide to reach out to your firstborn son, and let him know you're ready whenever. So, you focus your mind, and think out to him.

"Hey, Chilli. Are you up yet?" you ask him, sending your thoughts out to your son. "Or are you still in bed?"
“We've got a problem.” he tells you back, as he does you immediately shooting to your feet. “Might have to wait a bit on checking it out. We're under attack right now.”
“Karn?” Meloka asks but you're already gone, rushing through the door before it is even fully opened as you rush back to your own room. Throwing the door open, you rush over to the shelves, grabbing the wide bladed weapon from the top shelf before grabbing your Soulstone as well, tucking it into your boot before picking up your Wolf Knight sword as well.

“Dad, what's going on?” Broly asks, a worried look in his eyes. “Who's in trouble?”
“It's Chilli, his people are under attack.” you tell him. “So I'm going to help him out. I was going this morning anyways, to give him this to look over, so I guess the timing works out.”
“Alone?” he asks, brows furrowed.
“You're welcome to come along, if you're ready.” you say, your already-armored son walking over to the closet, opening it up, and taking out his massive shield you'd found him. He holds it easily in his left hand. Nodding to you once, you nod back, raising your right hand to your forehead. Broly reaches out and grabs onto your left elbow with his right, keeping the edge of the crystal weapon far away from himself. You then reach out telepathically once more, mentally connecting to your son. “We're ready.”

“We?” he replies, confusion bleeding through the link. But before you answer your son, you've locked onto his ki through the link. And with a single thought, you travel directly to him with your Instant Transmission. One second you're standing in your bedroom, the next you find yourself out in the open air, your sons' ki both behind you. And right before you is another giant, pale white dragon charging directly at you!
“GRRRROOOOOAAAAAAAAAR!!” the beast bellows, unleashing a massive icy gale. Well, this isn't exactly what you thought was going to happen.
“Perish.” you say, lowering your right hand from your forehead and firing a Death Beam directly down the beast's maw. Your energy pierces straight through it, the dragon's maw instantly snapping shut as your energy injures it. With its attack halted you draw your arm back, grabbing onto the Wolf Knight sword's hilt protruding over your shoulder. Then with one fluid motion you draw and throw the weapon!

The weapon flips once, twice, then impales the beast directly through its forehead between the eyes. The force of your throw stops the dragon cold, and after a moment of being held suspended in the air the beast simply drops. You reach out with your telekinesis, gripping the weapon and tearing it free as the dragon crashes to the ground on the mountainside overlooking the Crimson Demon Village. You turn, facing Chilli just as the weapon crashes back into your open palm.

“Hey kiddo. Thought you could use a hand or two.” you say to him. “So, what's the problem?”
“GRRRROOOOOAAAAAR! GRRRRAAAAAAA! ROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAR!!” several other dragons roar, you turning back and seeing another half dozen giant beasts flying towards you all. Looks like he's got a rather serious dragon problem today. Good thing you came prepared.
“Oh, those.” you say, glancing towards the monsters before turning back to your son. “Mind if we lend a hand? Oh, and here.”

You then hold up the slightly luminous crystal-bladed sword, and your son's eyes light up as he looks the weapon over. After several seconds of silence his eyes meet yours, and just from the look on his face you can tell this one is something special.

“Help yourself.” you say, holding it towards him grip-first. Chilli gingerly takes up the weapon, and as he does the blade begins glowing brighter and brighter. Almost as if the ancient weapon were made for him.

Fuck yeah Saiyan Conqueror

So GD, before I ask about any other characters, I want to know if you expected to get this far. There's nearly 200 total sessions of Saiyan Conqueror Quest and I think that's pretty fucking insane. How does it feel to be running the longest ongoing quest from this board?
>>

>I want to know if you expected to get this far
Not for the first couple of years honestly.
>How does it feel to be running the longest ongoing quest from this board?
Tuffle Quest has been running far longer, it’s still going, and has been around since the /tg/ days.

I know the Hive were piss because they were faceless mooks and faceless bosses for pretty much their entire arc, but what was iffy about the Siege of New Salda? Personally I thought it was one of the quest's highs.

We had one or two annoyed that the siege was going on for so long.
>>
>>5365776
The main difference between this quest and tuffle quest is that you, as a writer, take criticism and grow from it. From what I experienced pre-kid arc of tuffle quest, that QM absolutely did not do this. In fact they would put their foot down and be extremely stubborn over the stupidest shit to be stubborn about. I was glad to quit it once it was no longer focused on maple. By the end of that I was just there because of sunk cost etc etc.
Of course, if they improved in that regard since then, that'd be great news. Improvement is what I'm all about, baybee, and I won't stay hating on someone if they've fixed their shit.

>>5365798
I think if the xenomorphs were used as little mini horror genre arcs rather than a full blown war it would have worked better. I still half expect there's a crazy saiyomorph out there killing its way across the galaxy and getting stronger and stronger as it goes. Not like vacuum actually kills the things, if it had inborn ki flight it could conceivably just rocket through space with its farts to get to new worlds to terrorize.

They just suffer from horror monster syndrome. The more you see the less effective it becomes.

Yes, all of that and more. Plus they’re not a FUN enemy. They had no drive, no surprises, and were no real threat to Karn either. But it did work well for the Joestar ship encounter, as well as mostly off-screen level grinding for the kids

Ha
>>5365984
One would had to have had a facehugger not only grab them, but also survive long enough to plant. Then the warrior’s guts would have to not only succumb to the Plagiarus praepotens instead of destroying it, preventing the chestburster from forming inside them, but then the parasite would have to get back OUT of the host and live long enough to mature without the rest of the Saiyan’s team brutally murdering it in revenge. As I said, not impossible. But those are very particular circumstances
>>
>>5366382
I don't know what you know that I don't but I don't think it would be exceptionally difficult for Saiyans to get infested. Nor would escaping the body considering the adaptive nature of xenos. And since Saiyan children would get sent -alone- to conquer worlds it's not unfeasible to assume there could be one out there.

The biggest hurdle is just incapacitating a Saiyan in the first place. Like trying to discipline a masochist, they just won't go down no matter how much you hit them.
>>
>>5366382
So you're telling me it would have to be an absolutely bitch-made Saiyan with no friends?
>>
>>5366400
Lone children, before Saiyans gained wider recognition and that practice for them was stopped, were usually only sent to weaker worlds. Like Earth, with its average powerlevel of 5 and no reading above a hundred or two for decades.
Again: unlikely, not impossible.
>>5366402
Yes. A “Cooler of Saiyans”, if you will.
>>
>>5366402
>So you're telling me it would have to be an absolutely bitch-made Saiyan with no friends?
>>
>>5366412
Does Cooler really not have a single friend?
Even in his little Ginyu Force rip-off?
>>
>>5366424
He is their employer, and while the have a nice professional relationship, EVERYBODY saw how much of a bitch he was with Babidi's wrinkly green dick marking his head for power. Which was worthless.
>>
>>5366432
I can't help but feel sorry for him. At the end of the day, he has the potential to get over his hang-ups and really make something of himself, just like Frieza.
I just don't get why he sees everybody around him growing and evolving and refuses to do so himself.
>>
>>5366437
Because he is made of Bitch. Makes me curious as to who Cold fucked to make him, his brother sure as shit didn't have the same mother.
>>
>>5366448
Could be asexual reproduction. As far as we know there's no tyrannical space lizards with fat tats to breed ;_;, maybe King Cold has recessive bitch genes or something that activated in Cooler.
>>
>>5366489
Frieza and King Cold are referred to as mutants by some official and semi-official sources, so it could be that Cooler didn't inherit Cold's dominant freak genes.
I'm also pretty sure Cold did a shit job of raising Cooler, but I can't say for certain.
>>
>>5366492
Perhaps. If only we had a larger sample size of frosty lizards and found out what made them tick. I'll stick to the asexual theory, because the thought of being able to clone and genetically modify frieza's race like pic relsounds killer
>>
>>5366489
>Could be asexual reproduction
There’s no mention of Frieza having a mother in the original japanese text, so this is most likely the case.

You say that like he hasn’t been since getting his own Stand.
>>5366524
That sounds hilarious. They turn on the Cern collider again and suddenly SCQ in Japanese on preserved wood planks is discovered under the gates or something
>>
>>5366613
Whatever happened to Time Patrol jotaro?

Has the boy tried any other paths to power? Stands, the force, training with any of the mentors?

How is meloka doing? Even though we spend time with her we never really talk with her about relationship stuff anymore.

Has vox thought about putting an arena on new salsa? Call it the heavy weight bout or something similar. Could make it a non death match fight ring. Maybe once chaya gets going she could run it.

Why is the supreme Kai of time such a bitch.
>>
>>5366613
>He murdered the fuck outta them when he got Majinized
Oh...oh dear.
We should invite him for a rematch sometime so we can see about scaring him straight.
>You say that like he hasn’t been since getting his own Stand.
Yes, he's made great strides in terms of strength and ability, but that's only a part of what I'm really talking about.
He hasn't grown AS A PERSON.
You would think that losing the second match with Karn getting beat like a rented mule by his father would encourage him to start looking at himself critically, but no.
He's still the arrogant, envious pussy he's always been. He might as well still be a child for how he acts.
I think I'm starting to understand why King Cold is so frustrated with him. His worst enemy is himself and he refuses to accept that.
>>
>>5366613
Oh shit I forgot he fucked his own squad over, I hope the adamantium strap-on of suffering was extra girthy and spiked.
>>
>>5366650

>Inviting him to anything
He's the polar opposite of Krillin. He's nobody's friend. Plus, he's a prick and a cowardly prick at that, I guarantee he'd make up some bullshit excuse to decline the rematch.

>I guarantee he'd make up some bullshit excuse to decline the rematch
Not if we run it by his father first.
>>
>>5366688
>>5366694
>Implying bitch made get a choice
Our ideology of the strong decide exists for a reason.
>>
>>5366645
He’s still there, just not involved with opponents and fights that far easily outclass him.
He’s tried. But he lacks talent. He’s no fighting prodigy like Goku, or housing any hidden strength like Gohan. Hell, he doesn’t even have a strong pride to push him past his limits like his father.
She’s more content than ever. Karn is almost never involved in more dangerous endeavors, and for those he is, he is more than strong enough to simply bulldoze any problems. Failing that, she’s right there as well, along with King Vegeta’s massive new power. She has everything she’s been fighting for.
He has one, in the regular arena and the larger one made specifically for the finals between Broly and Chilli.
Because she believes that she’s always right and good, and those that oppose her are evil and bad. The same mentality as Kars, the Supreme Kai, Zamasu, or every other deity.
>>5366650
Making a lot of assumptions about him. You haven’t seen him since learning Instant Transmission, and he’s not been idle.
>>5366663
He deserved everything he got.
>>5366688
>He's the polar opposite of Krillin. He's nobody's friend.
Damn that’s a rough one, but true.
>I guarantee he'd make up some bullshit excuse to decline the rematch.
Right now? Of course he would. He knows you’d kick his ass as he is now. That’s why he’s trying so hard. The next time he sees you he wants it to be on his terms, when he’s strong enough to at least make it an actual fight. He hasn’t forgotten how easily you handled him, that’s his driving force.
>>5366694
Cold wouldn’t risk his progress. Not yet. He knows Cooler’s still not ready and would rather run the hands with you himself again soon.
>>5366701
Which is why he’s ACTIVELY AVOIDING you.

Nor will he. He wants to get his pride back by beating you. But damm well knows the gap between the two of you isn’t something easily overcome. But he knows what he has to achieve to do so, and is actively working towards it.
>>5366715
He didn’t get to last time, remember? He only powered up and almost killed himself before Caulifla saved him. But after Freeza’s visit, he’s certainly going to want to see how his body works when fully healed/uncursed.

What's up with bane? Is he happy that Karn is in a relatively peaceful moment? Does he still want to train us, when we've had shit to do and had to put him on the back burner?

Do the time patrol have sith/Jedi?

How's arctus doing?

Have kazuma and crew driven Frieza crazy yet? What about the Ginyu force?

I certainly remember him pulling a Karn before Caulifla came in with the assist.

>>
>>5366753
I don't know how far you are in Elden Ring, but will any of the sorceries/incantations in it ever have a chance of showing up? There's a few in there I really fuckin' like.
Especially Law of Regression. The implications of such a spell, which can revert ALL negative and positive influences on everyone in a wide range...imagine what that kind of spell could do. Undo curses, possibly even transformations given how it reverts people to their defaults. And of course, all manner of illusions...
Litany of Proper Death would also be extremely useful against some of the enemies we've come up against so far.
Full and Dark Moon would, of course, be overpowered in Chilli's hands since it cucks other magic users while at the same time making any target it hits, magic or otherwise, way weaker to magic. Might have some special effects for saiyans with tails, as well...
>>
>>5366753
What would the ramifications be of a really dumb wish?

Something like "DragonForce, I wish everyone could see you"

Would DragonForce comply, or would he question us on our dumb shit?
>>
>>5366766
Bane has eternity to find what he’s seeking. A few decades or even centuries of not moving forward aren’t much of a setback for him.
Potentially.
Drunk.
Not yet, he’s far more worried about Chris.
They’re enjoying the trip,
>>5366768
He’d be intrigued. And far more worried about how Karn would have LEARNED such a style.
>>5366770
He’s still training under Roshi.
>>5366805
As for how far I am, I’m up to Hoarah Loux.
If that realm existed, I would have to add the Outer Beings as well. But such powerful beings would have already made their presence known across reality, and at least one would have already tried recruiting Karn.
>>5366826
Depends on the wish.
It could grant that, and wouldn’t question something innocent like that.
>>
>>5366837
>spoiler
Truly the chaddest dad in any souls game.
>>
>>5366837
I desperately want to say something about the Outer Beings but can't because it would spoil you on it.
All I can really say is that there are factors that would complicate such a matter and make it more sensible for them not to be known across reality or to be actively recruiting across space.
>>
>>5366837
So what you're saying is Cold isn't aware of Darth Bane?
I guess that implies we haven't dived deep enough into what the Dark Side of the Force has to offer.
If we did, he would probably sense it. Either in close proximity or during his meditation provided his thoughts drifted towards us in some way.
>>
>>5366845
As a sorcerer build trying to fight him with sub-30 Vigor, I now know how Trunks feels every time fighting Karn.
>>5366848
I already know how the fingers are emissaries of an outer being, and the 3 fingers serve the Chaos/Madness being in opposition to the Golden Order. The Scarlet Rot is another such entity, something that is warring for control of the realm. Don’t know the whole story but what’s past him has already been spoiled.
>>5366874
Not that YOU have his holocron.
Karn is already a force of destruction and violence, would take a whole lot of diving into the Dark side for it to be noticeable.
>>
>>5366888
Talking about the Force has me thinking.
Karn's current style is VERY effective, but how long can that last?
He'll get old at some point, even if he decides to focus on his Hamon training to try and maintain his physical prime for as long as possible.
His aggressive tank style probably won't be near as effective as it once was if his body starts to fail him.
I think we should think about integrating more techniques into our style that don't necessarily rely on insane physical strength or endurance.
To that end, I think some of the higher force powers available on the Dark Side of the Force would be great for that.
>>
>>5366898
>Karn's current style is VERY effective, but how long can that last?
Depends. If Karn stays in shape and keeps working at least as hard as you do now, you easily have another 35 years before your strength even starts noticably declining. Barring any sort of unfortunate accident that maims you. Then considering the Energy Body on top to mitigate, which certainly gets put to the test against Aku in the upcoming epilogue.
>>
>>5366914
If Karn can hear anything click or crack in the morning, the writing is on the wall.
>>
>>5366837

>>5366888
Don't read this if you don't want spoilers then.
The vast majority of the Outer God are actually locked away, or a shadow of their former selves vying for power through very select vassals that happen to stumble across them in some way, usually by touching upon their aspects. The Greater Will won the war, it's THE dominant force on that planet, and it's VERY willing to send its subjects to absolutely murderfuck the shit out of any outer gods or outer god adherents that don't hide from it.
Beyond that, it's important to know that the Outer Gods seem to had to physically travel to the planet they're on. They can't traverse the vastness of space in an instant, not even the outer god that's all about space, stars, and the moon. They actually shown having to physically travel from one planet to another, which severely limits how many people they have access to with their default abilities. Beyond even that, we already know that Radahn was actively stopping anything from coming in or going out - Ranni's god couldn't leave until his death, and the Greater Will couldn't send in the Elden Beast until his death. He was basically locking the entire planet down by becoming the 'starscourge', fucking chad.
>>
>>5366976
>Not quite. He knows how meticulously some Dark Lords plan firsthand.
Would he be surprised that Bane has written Karn off as part of his plan, or would he realize that he might try to get one of our kids or future children?
>Knowing what I know of the lore, my guy should have stepped down and tag teamed what comes next.
But how would he know who is stronger? THE TITLE MATCH MUST BE DECIDED!
>>5367003
The tldr is Radahn is the badass protagonist, and the Outer Gods are basically diet cuthulu's whom all bow to the superiority of the Red Mane.
>>
>>5367003
Well I thought
the elden beast was always there. But the implication of its arena is that every one of those giant glowing trees in the background is another world with an erdtree. Though the elden beast is obviously some sort of extraterrestrial considering its attacks and general appearance. I say this because you don't actually need to beat Radahn to reach the elden beast. Personally I see it as the greater will is some sort of symbiotic parasite that feeds on reverence. Unlike, say the rot which is a plain fucking biohazard corrupting influence or the flame of frenzy. Ranni also doesn't have her own outer god. She was stifled by the greater will and the two fingers, and her ending is pretty explicitly her saying "yeah all these gods and shit need to fuck off, now let's bounce homie". As for that bloody momma thing Mohg has going on. No clue. Shit's a schizoid until we get a DLC that gives a little more to go off of. P.S. the flame of frenzy is a fuckhead for hurting that poor blind waifu.

>>5367012
Radahn really is an absolute badass. And Melania is a complete hotheaded retard.
>>
>>5367034
Oh you know what, you're right about the Elden Beast. My brain mixed shit up - it DID arrive via comet, but it was on the comet that brought the Greater Will here a long time ago. So it does still arrive by comet, I got the timing of it wrong for some reason. Still - it does heavily rely on travel via meteor.
>>
>>5367003
Alright.
>>5367012
He’d understand why. And actively encourage Karn to hand the holocron to him, so he could lock it away.

>>
Hey GD, more pointless questions for you.
Can Frieza use his bulky 100% Power transformation in tandem with Golden?
Would Cold invite us to a venue of his choosing for a proper match, or would he just visit New Salda like last time?
I know Broly likes his shield, but has he thought of acquiring a weapon to compliment it?
If we started training in Juyo earnestly, how long would it take before we could reliably use it in battle and what impact would it have on our mastery of the Berserker transformations?
How many of the Time Patrol's elite operatives actually believe Towa brainwashed Ace again?
If and when Karn dies, would Chilli vouch for him like he did with Tatsu?
If Blackfire tries to kidnap Ticho or murder Turles, Karn would be legally justified in killing her, right?
Has Vegeta made any progress on mastering Primal yet? Has he started looking towards Apex or is he not aware that it exists yet?
Is Aku gonna ask us to help take care of the Darklurker permanently anytime soon?
>>
>>5368576
You’ll have to wait and see. But there’s a good reason this didn’t get finished last week.
>>5368664
He hasn’t even considered it, the form’s power already exceeds everything else he’s encountered in this timeline by a WIDE margin. He’s waiting for Karn to catch up.
Depends. He knows you can Instant Transmission though, and may simply invite you.
He is the weapon that compliments it. Or rather, his strength. Putting an unbreakable wall backed by unstoppable power is a dangerous mix to stand before.
Years. Which it was a choice to take up when training was decided. As for mastery, it wouldn’t have affected its progress much if at all.
Most of them. A few of the more astute have reservations, and/or just think he went chasing tail.
Absolutely
He IS the law, unless Freeza disagrees with him. One of the perks of being made general is his actions couldn’t be questioned by lesser ranks.
He’s got a long ways to go just in utilizing Primal, he’ll be a few steps in on the road to mastery by BoG.
Not likely anytime soon. He’s confident in his newfound power.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 179 Epilogue-

AGE 750, NEW SALDA

“Whaaaaaat?” you shout in surprise, watching as the glowing green Saiyan warrior rises up out of the waves. He's completely unharmed by the massive blow you'd dropped on him, “You can still fly?”
“I can do more than that!” the warrior Karn shouts, your tiny friend's aura blazing up around him once more as his soul alights. “Come on, enough playing around! Show me what you can REALLY do!”

Once more your friend charges directly up at you, drawing his right arm back to swing once more. So you lift both arms up, fists merged down into a lance point the size of his fist before swinging down. He roars, Karn's fist crashing into your joined hands. You are the Shogun of Sorrow, the Shapeshifting master of Darkness, the Master of Masters Aku. You had traveled here to your friend's planet, New Salda, to reclaim another shard of your progenitor: the primeval man, Manus. Long ago you were whole, a single Dark being. But that was until one day several deities all gathered together, combining their divine might and defeating you. They had broken Manus, shattering him into countless pieces and scattering them across the cosmos.

You are one such shard, only a single fragment of the being you once were. But you've been putting in work, finding other pieces of yourself and absorbing their power into yourself. But today you've claimed the strongest shard yet, your friend Karn having killed it in one-on-one combat. So now that you've absorbed that corpse's power, Karn challenged you to test this newfound might out. So here you are, towering over your friend and swinging down with both of your fists. Again your merged hands crash down onto your friend, who once more stops your heavy blow with a single fist. Your heavy blow sends him crashing down into the sea, but he'd once again stopped your attack. With a Single Fist! AGAIN. Just how powerful IS Karn?

“RRRAAAAAA!!” Karn roars, exploding up out of the sea and rapidly blasting up towards you once more. This time you don't draw your arms back overhead, instead splitting them back into two hands. He charges directly between them, right into your trap.
“Ahh haaaa haaa haaaa!” you shout, slamming your palms together. “SQUASH!”

You look down at your hands, and when they're not immediately shoved apart you start to feel worried. Did you hit him harder than he can take? Oh no, did you break him? Worries flood your mind, and in a panic start pulling your hands apart. But to your surprise, he's perfectly fine! Encased in what seems like a cocoon of emerald energy.

“Whaaaaaat?!” you exclaim in surprise, watching as the emerald light fades quite a bit from him and he begins moving again. “How did you do that?”

“That's my Energy Body.” you hear him reply, the Saiyan continuing to surge directly towards your face. “You're gonna have to swing harder than that!”
“Ohhh? Then try this!” you declare, widening your eyes then firing out a pair of powerful energy beams from your eyes. Your energy surges down, but as it closes in on the Saiyan you hear him call out.
“Barrier!” he shouts, a small dome of emerald energy surging out from him. Your energy crashes against his, and to your shock can feel it sliding off of his shield. He flies through your beams, his energy shielding his body from any harm.

“Another one?!” you exclaim, shocked that he has yet ANOTHER technique to negate one of your abilities. So you end the technique, leaning towards you in surprise. “Both physical and energy negations? Just how many techniques do you have??”
“Enough.” he replies, ending the shield as he draws his fist back. The emerald energy around him all gathers into his fist, then throws it forward with a roar of “Piercing Fist! Mark! TWO!!”

And suddenly he explodes forward, his speed more than doubling as his fist leaves a trail of spiraling energy behind him. Before you can react, he closes the distance and punches you square in the face. His energy actually cuts through your darkness, drilling through your face and exploding out of the back of your head. You don't move at first, more shocked than anything, then after a few seconds focus and reform your head. You have your face travel through your head, sprouting out of the back of your head and looking at him.

“No effect, huh?” he asks, retaking his fighting stance while actually flying above your head. “So those weapons are the only thing that can actually damage you.”
“Indeed.” you brag, grinning at him. “Without using very specific and powerful magics, my body cannot be harmed.”
“That's kinda unfair. Good to know you're on our side.” he replies, body relaxing a bit. Then he flares his emerald aura up, it blazing as he flies even further up into the air. “Well then, let's see if you can stop this!”

You watch as he rises higher, throwing his arms out wide and quickly gathering his energy. You watch him gather an orb in each hand larger than his own body, then slams the two together over his head. The two energies merge together, their power merging and multiplying dozens of times over. His power continues expanding by the second, forming a sphere the size of a small moon over his head so massive you can actually feel a hint of its gravitational pull.

“CATCH THIS!” he roars, throwing the massive orb down. “My EVENT HORIZON!”

“That's one massive attack. He must have put everything he's got into throwing that down.” you think to yourself, watching as the orb nearly twice the size of your head drops down towards you. So out of respect you throw both hands forward, despite thinking you can stop it with only one. You expect to catch the massive energy ball easily, so when you touch it and your hands are shredded into nothing you feel your eyes widen, the flames of your eyebrows going out in shock.

“W-WHAT?!” you exclaim, then gritting your teeth feel your eyebrows blaze back to life as you redouble your efforts. Dozens of limbs shoot out from your chest, each one reaching out to help stop the massive energy heading straight down towards you. Each limb is shredded by his power, but with each four or five arms you fire up, you can feel the massive attack slowing down. But it is not enough. The orb has already descended down to your first two arms' elbows, actually obliterating everything above there. If this attack were to fully hit, you suddenly aren't sure if you would survive. Each piece of you that's blasted off is actually pulled into the giant orb, where the energy actually obliterates it! He actually has an attack capable of killing you, even without the ancient swords! This Saiyan is far more dangerous than you gave him credit for. But that doesn't mean you're just going to back down. You are the Master of Masters after all, and it's time to show your friend just how powerful you are!

“You think that an attack like this is enough to stop me? I'll show you!” you roar, then after taking a deep breath you exhale, belching out a column of flames. Tinged with Dark, your flames crash against the slowly-descending orb of unbelievable power and further blunt its momentum. The orb descends for another second or so before finally being halted, you drawing all of your tendrils back before shifting your shape, forming a pair of massive arms. Drawing them both back, you then swing forward with both in a double punch for the massive attack. His energy shreds off a bit from each hand, but you'd reinforced them so heavily your hands are able to push through, both fists crashing into the giant orb and launching it right back into the air at him! “Ah HAAA! Let us see how you like your own.... Huh?”

You watch, triumph turning to confusion as the orb sails off into the upper atmosphere, not encountering any resistance whatsoever. You'd think with his power, he'd at least be able to slow it down.

“FINAL!” you hear him roar from below you now and realize that he's not anywhere close to done yet. “FLAAAAAASH!!”

Everything goes white, you losing all sense of sight, hearing, and taste simultaneously. You feel energy tearing at your neck, but can't feel anything above that. After a few more seconds the tearing sensation at your neck stops, and you reach up to try and feel your face. But your hands don't hit anything until they touch each other, and you realize it: he completely erased your head!

“Impressive.” you think to yourself, reaching down into yourself and shaping another head. After a few seconds you pull your newly-formed face and head up and out of your torso, cracking and adjusting your new neck.
“Heh. There you are.” he replies, you opening your eyes and seeing he's flown up to your eye level. “But I got you good with that one.”
“Your battle sense is quite impressive, I must say. A single opponent seems to be no match for you.” you say, stroking your goatee. Then suddenly you have an idea, and feel a malicious grin come to your face as you keep talking. “But how about a dozen opponents? Let's see how you handle this!”
“Huh?” he asks, no doubt having no idea what you're planning as you raise your right hand palm-up. Then out from your palm and fingers rises yourself. Or rather, a dozen of yourselves, each of you the same size as the Saiyan brawler. “Wh-What?”

“AAAAAAH haa haaa haaa haa haaa haaa!!” your squad of mini-mes all laugh together, almost drowned out by your large self's booming laugh. Who calls down to Karn as the rest of yourselves all take different fighting stances you've seen before. “What will you do now, Karn?”
“If you think numbers will help, I'll show you the difference quality makes!” he shouts, crossing his arms before himself as his emerald aura blazes. Then to your surprise his aura begins shrinking, no, condensing itself around his body. Your large you's eyes widen as you finally understand his Energy Body technique, feeling a grin come to your face. It's such a simple and straightforward technique, but clearly effective as he retakes his fighting stance. Left arm up vertically before him, right held back ready to punch forward as he brings his left leg up almost as if he'd be crouching on the ground. “Bring it.”

“Haaaaaa!” your yous all shout, each one rushing him from a different side. The one directly in front of him reaches the Saiyan first, you and him trading heavy right hooks. Karn doesn't even TRY to defend himself, instead taking the punch in exchange for landing one of his own. Your fist doesn't even budge him, but Karn sends that body of yours flying backwards through the air. His power is quite impressive, you still aren't quite sure how he's able to fit it all into such a small body. Then the two yous, one on either side rush forward and swing at his head. “Hiiiiiyaaaaa!”

Your you to Karn's left fires off a flashy flying left kick aimed at his jaw, while the you to his right fires off a heavy right straight directly behind his ear. Both of your attacks land simultaneously, and were it anyone else you would have twisted their neck completely around. But this is Karn, the Dragon of New Salda you're trading blows with. And even with all that power, your twin attacks barely budge his head!

“What?” both of the yous shout in surprise, but before you can do anything else he moves. Karn reaches out, grabbing both of the little yous' by their limbs and swinging them up over his head while dashing forward. “Oh n-!”
“HRRAAAAA!” he roars, closing the distance to a third you and swings them both down. Your bodies smash together, Karn releasing the ones in his grip and sending all three splashing down into the sea. The one just to his right then moves, shifting its shape into a tentacled form that begins swinging its appendages like whips. Its pitch-black limbs start whipping the Saiyan, striking him dozens of times each second. But he doesn't even seem to react, rising back to his full height then turning towards that you.

“Oh no you don't!” you say from that one's mouth, wrapping each and every one of its' limbs around the warrior. He's instantly bound in place, your limbs trapping him in place. “Got you! Now get 'em boys!”
“Gotcha!” one to Karn's left shouts, rushing in and firing off a heavy right directly to his jaw.
“Take this!” one of you to his right calls, dashing in and firing off a flying right kick to his face as well. The two of you tee off, firing off dozens of heavy blows to his head every second. Each one of those mini yous has all of your full power, and the fact neither of you can so much as scratch him is honestly surprising. These blows that would KO anyone else simply glance off of his hardened energy, you wonder just what it would take to break through that armor. Karn still doesn't budge, taking the hits for maybe ten seconds or so before he's had enough and acts.

“HRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAA!!” he roars, and with brute force alone tears free of your limbs binding him. Your jaw drops, watching down on him from above as he then grabs the two who'd been teeing off by their heads, then before any of you can react he slams them together face-first. Darkness splatters out as their heads explode from the impact, Karn drawing his right foot back then kicking the two bodies into the tentacled you and sends the three of them flying.
“Got you!” another you roars from behind Karn, shifting your arms into twin piercing lances then stab directly for his back. He can't react in time and your attacks fly true, both thrusting directly into his lower back. You got him!

“Heh. Nice try.” Karn says, once again proving just how dangerous his new armor technique is. Your lances actually did pierce into it, just barely. But not only is it less than an inch of penetration, now your limbs are actually stuck in his armor! You try pulling free, even bringing a second body over to try and pull that one free. He smirks up at your largest body, and without breaking eye contact reaches back behind him, grabbing both arms and pulling you free of him. But then he flips around, twisting and crossing that you's arms over themselves several times while orienting on that you in his grip. Then with a malicious smirk he throws both of his arms wide, spinning both of the yous over and over with a roar. “HAAAAA!”

“Waaaaaah!” the two yous shout in surprise, spinning counterclockwise over and over and over again rapidly. Then before either of those yous can reorient themselves, that Karn closes in and hits both of them with a simultaneous charging clothesline. “Gyuuuaaah!”
“Gotcha!” he roars, slamming the two yous together back-first. They both splatter in a spray of Abyssal Dark, mangled bodies dropping through the air. As they do, they're caught by the three who'd been sent down into the sea first. The rest of you return to your open palm, the large you absorbing the tiny yous back into yourself. “What, done already?”

“I've still got one trick left. Let's see how you like THIS form!” you declare, and transform once more. Your body shrinks in on itself, darkness folding deeper and deeper within yourself as you reach back, brushing against the fullness of the being you once were. Long, long ago. Digging deep as your body shrinks down further and further, you begin to tap into the truest essence of what you are. You can feel it, as you always have, but this time something's different. The impenetrable wall that was blocking you before is just gone, finally allowing you to take on the form of your progenitor. Massive bone horns lined with eyes sprout from your head, left arm extending and ending in a giant hand with a void in the palm, legs shaping more bestial than humanoid The form of primeval man, and originator of the Dark itself: Manus. “Thanks to that dragon's power, I can now finally tap into the pure essence of who I was: Manus! Progenitor of the Abyss!”

“So that IS who that was.” Karn says, your jaw dropping to the ground at this. No way, he, he's actually SEEN the true form of Manus before.
“How? When?!” you ask, shocked. “That's impossible! There is no way you could have faced this power before and survived!”

“Then why don't you come at me and try for yourself?” he replies, once more retaking his fighting stance. You smirk as well, drawing your whip-like left arm back into a ready position with your right up, ready to go. Now this will certainly be entertaining.
“What the hell is going on!?” comes a sudden shout from above, both of you looking up to see the Saiyan King, Vegeta. But he's not just here sightseeing, he's powered up. Far moreso than you can ever remember seeing him, in fact he looks like he's actually tapping into the Saiyan race's Oozaru power as he hovers above the two of you. “Karn, why am I hearing people screaming that you're fighting a towering monster? And what is that?”

“Ahem. WHO is that would be a far better response, your highness” you say, and for a moment allow your more 'natural' face to bleed through your current visage to his shock. “Good to see you as well, Saiyan King Vegeta.”
“Aku? What are you doing here?” he asks you in confusion, before turning to Karn for some sort of explanation. “And why wasn't I told?”
“Oh, my bad.” Karn replies a bit sheepishly. “Forgot to tell you, Aku here absorbed that Abyss I'd contained. So, now we're testing out just how much stronger it made him.”
“I see.” he replies, looking you over and no doubt trying to size you up. But then his focus returns to Karn, you catching just the faintest hint of worry as he speaks. “Just keep it away from the city. Last thing I need right now is to rebuild everything AGAIN.”
“Sir!” Karn shouts, giving him a salute that the King returns. He then glances to you once more, no doubt still concerned, then addresses you both.

“Well? Are you two going to continue, or just stand there?” he asks, you seeing Karn smirk at this. The Saiyan before you returns his full attention on you, while his King speaks to someone through his scouter. No doubt explaining the situation back to his, or rather their people.
“All right, let's do this.” Karn replies, once more taking his fighting stance as he squares up to you. “Show me what you've REALLY got!”
“Ohhh, I will.” you reply, again drawing your extra long left arm back. Then without hesitation snap it forward in a jab and immediately realize something's off. Your arm moved far faster than you thought it would, closing the distance with the Saiyan before you've even realized it. Even he seems surprised as you see his face emerge, and you realize something else as well: your punch actually damaged him! Your attack knocked him off his feet, THROUGH his Energy Body technique and actually sent him into the air!

“Gyuh?!” he exclaims, the shock clear on his face as your punch sends him flying. He then clenches his teeth, flipping back once before reorienting himself and glaring at you. “Tch. Not bad. Looks like I'll have to take you seriously now! HAAAA!!”

He then surges through the air directly at you, moving so fast his body is blurry even to you. But your left is faster, drawing back and firing off another punch. This time Karn draws his arms up and blocks your attack, but again he's sent backwards. However, with him being braced for the hit he is only sent backwards a few feet, immediately going back in on the offensive. You draw your springy left arm back over and over, firing off a series of rapid-fire jabs that force him onto the defensive. While swinging your arm about, you become more familiar with this body's structure, learning how it moves and fights. So, as you draw back your left yet again, this time when you swing it isn't a straight jab directly for his body.

Instead, you swing your arm out and around in a counterclockwise motion mid way through your attack, whipping it around towards his left side at blinding speed. Karn barely realizes what you've done before your attack crashes into him, you far too quick for him to react and send him flying horizontally. Drawing your arm back again, this time you swing it down on him directly. He sees your strike coming, and barely manages to catch your arm with his hands. The force of your blow sends him crashing down to the ground, but the Saiyan lands strong on his feet. He actually managed to stop your power! But as you look, you can see the strain clear on his face, teeth gritted and veins bulging on his forehead visibly through his hardened energy.

“What's this Karn? I though you said you'd take me seriously now. Is THIS the limits of the mighty 'Dragon of New Salda'?” you ask teasingly, feeling him straining against you as you keep up the pressure. But, to your surprise, he doesn't immediately retort with his own witty line. Instead his entire focus is on pushing back against you. Or, so you thought. As suddenly you no longer feel his resistance against your arm, the Saiyan slipping free! At the same moment he suddenly seemingly just APPEARS right before you!
“GOT YOU!” he snarls, murder in his all-white eyes as he swings a powerful right into your jaw. You feel the bones of this form crack from the impact, the strike knocking you staggering backwards in shock. But you won't go down so easy, planting your right foot behind you and throwing your right hand forward. You'll show him just how much power this body- has? Why is the ground rushing up towards your face?

“Wh-What?” you mutter, barely processing what's happening as the ground rushes up towards your face. Then almost by reflex you catch yourself, left and right arms crashing palm-first to the ground and narrowly stop you from smashing face-first down into the sand. You stay there a moment or two, feeling the world spinning unsettlingly enough to make you want to puke, but you manage to keep your lunch and rise back up to your feet. You stagger a bit, not finding your balance immediately in this still-unfamiliar form just to see the Saiyan standing there, waiting for you.

“You okay?” he asks, genuinely concerned. “That one looked like it got you.”
“I'm fine, you should worry more about yourself.” you say, and immediately Karn re-focuses his aura into the hardened shell around him. As you attack, you can see that his aura's thickness almost doubles. Once more you jab with your left, but this time it is not a punch. Instead you thrust your left hand forward open, grabbing him in your much larger hand. Catching him by complete surprise, as he'd no doubt expected another punch. But you have him now. “Now, let us see just how durable this armor of yours really is, shall we?”

“Tch!” he exhales through his teeth as you start slowly increasing the pressure. Second by second you squeeze down harder and harder, yet his armor seems completely impervious. It even seems brighter than it was a few moments ago when you'd first grabbed him, and wait, hold on. Was it always this hard around him?

“You...Clever.” you say as you look closer, and realize just what he's done. His enshrouding energy is more than twice as thick as it normally was, glowing brighter because his energy is several times denser. Quite the impressive feat, but you've already realized the flaw in his defense. He can't move. With his ki that densely packed in around him, there's no way his body can actually move inside of it. So now it all comes down to a matter of strength. “A test of might, then? Let us see if I possess the power to crack this seemingly-impervious shield of yours.”

He doesn't reply, no doubt unable to even open his mouth as you focus everything you've got into your left. Bringing to bear all of this form's physical might, squeezing down with your full power, you feel the strain as your arm begins to tremble. But then you hear it, and feel his armor begin to fold!

CRACK

Straight up the middle of his seemingly impervious defense, you watch and listen as the entire technique cracks. Unable to withstand this body's superior might, his nigh-unstoppable defense starts to yield! You can do thi-wait what?

“Guuuuh!” you exclaim, dropping to your knees as you feel your entire body spasm. Loosening your grip on the Saiyan, he cuts loose with a roar and breaks free, flying back out of your range. But you're no longer worried about him, right hand going to your chest as it suddenly feels like it is burning. But then you realize what's going on, and sigh out. “Looks like this is my current limit.”

Letting go of the power of Manus, you allow your body to revert back into its usual form, resting on your hands for additional support. Exhaustion washes over you in waves, nearly pulling you face down to the sand. Panting as you try and catch your breath, Karn ends his technique and walks over. His shadow comes over you, and as you look up you see the Saiyan standing over you. And suddenly gain the understanding of how it must feel for the weaklings to be looked down upon by you.

“That's some impressive power. But it's clear you can't really utilize it fully yet.” he says, offering his right hand down to you. “When you've gotten this power under control and can really use it, let's do this again some time.”

You look from his hand up to his face, and don't see any hint of maliciousness or scheming behind his eyes. He genuinely wants to see you improve, and test himself against you again. With a smirk you reach up and take the offered hand, allowing him to help pull your now-small frame upright.

“I will be looking forward to the day.” you reply with a grin of your own, matching his lopsided smirk. “But do not think I will go easy on you next time.”
“Same here.” he replies, his expression one full of confidence. And why wouldn't he be, you can still remember when he wasn't strong enough to defeat that machine scientist inhabiting your world, and transformed into the golden haired Super Saiyan. And in just a few short years, he's already grown so tremendously strong. You're going to get stronger as well, finally absorbing those other captured shards and learning to control this power you can now tap into. Saying your farewells and flying off into the void of space, you suddenly realize something else: you're actually looking forward to seeing just how powerful this one lowly mortal can become.

“Heh. Grow strong, Saiyan warrior.” you mutter to yourself, flying through the void of space. “Keep growing, amplifying your strength until you can stand with me to challenge these new so-called gods and tear down these false idols once and for all.”

Depends on the perspective. Karn’s view would be vastly different from Broly’s, which is wildly different from Maz and Kayle’s, who’s views would be even more different than Caulifla’s.
>>
>>5370042
Damn, that abyssal dragon really beefed up Aku. I'm looking forward to next time.

I know that mortal level is this esoteric measurement and it isn't related to how strong the universe's fighters are, but what is Karn's impact on the overall ranking of U7? Did it increase? Decrease? Or is it kinda the same?
>>
>>5370300
Mortal Level, as I understand it, is based on the overall quality of life of the universe as well as the ratio of planets with advanced civilization versus planets with primitive civilizations.
Karn having brought "peace" to this section of the Universe for the foreseeable future probably means U7's score will be higher than it's canon counterpart.
>>
>>5370306
>TFW Karn (and the rest of the Sayians) and the PTO are such chads that they raise the mortal rank so high that we miss out on the T.O.P

Task failed sucessfully
>>
>>5370346
>>5370363
Lets not get TOO ahead of ourselves. For all the prosperity we might have made indirectly, the incompetence of around 95% of the gods in this universe ensures we're still low enough on the mortal level to compete in the ratfight. That bum Shin and that lazy, gangly cat still exist after all.
>>
>>5370300
Got him JUST powerful enough to tap into his roots.
You might jump up a few places in the ranking, perhaps above u9 and u6, but not enough to avoid competing entitely.

Karn should have said, "Oh that's great, I don't have to hold back." Just to fuck with Aku.
>>
Just over 24 hours until episode 180 begins! Soon you shall witness what the ancient sword can do, and what Chilli’s been up to

>>5370553
That’s a good line. But he still DID have to hold back, at least for the planet’s sake. New Salda couldn’t withstand the blast if Karn pulled a page from Broly’s book and doubled up HIS Event Horizon
>>
>>5370605
I still can't believe Broly doubled down like that, the absolute madlad
>>
>>5370605
We've gotta make it a rule to not throw big attacks directly at the planet.
>>
>>5370615
Well if you could see what a half Ctarl-Ctarl and half Oozaru beast looks like(artist fell through, been looking for a new one for it), you’d probably be inclined to not hold back either.
>>5370616
Meloka’s been considering that problem, actually. And may have developed a counter, at least for giant energy balls.
>>
>>5370605
Actually I have an idea.
Can we fire different Ki attacks through the Event Horizon?
>>
>>5370654
>through
Only one: Dawn Breaker. But using that much energy in such a short timeframe is dangerous, even to you. The Dawn Breaker would also detonate the Event Horizon once it pierces through the center
>>
>>5370737
What about firing an attack and letting Event Horizon's gravitational pull take it in? Say, if an enemy's busy struggling against Event Horizon, shooting some quick Eye Beams at them to mess with their focus?
>>
>>5370809
The gravity would pull in any attack close by without sufficient power to resist, but their power wouldn’t be added to the attack itself once ‘eaten’. It’s not like Broly’s second movie finisher blast, you can’t add to it once it’s fired. As for trying to angle it to let the gravity pull it along, Karn’s nowhere near capable of pulling that off. Even Meloka isn’t that good, the only one who EVENTUALLY could do something like that would be Chilli, were he so inclined. But he has far bigger and grander goals than gravity-curved beams. I think you forget just how BIG Event Horizon is. Gif not working, pic kinda related
>>
Episode 180... I can remember being unsure if I’d make it to episode 18, that me would have never believed we would have come this far. But here we are. Still blows me away that we’ve been on this journey for over five years now, with no signs of slowing down. Now that almost everything’s decided we can start making some time skips. Passing through the everyday, where the days are vastly similar and skipping to future events where decisions will have to be made. First of which will, most likely, be skipping up to Tatsu/Tomi’s first war
