"Junior" is actually a 20 something Russian brought up to run the two conjoined stations he was born and raised in. On paper, he is a "logistics officer" and he lacks the ability to lead soldiers in battle. Despite this, he is in good enough shape to be in the military and he is an amazing shot at close range with a .410 shotshell revolver. His own courage and leadership has allowed him to seize power, and lead his stations to prosperity.

These stations now are just two within a Republic of four such stations, which is inside a loose Confederation of six stations. Gustav, the junior administrator, was in a way just one leader out of four.... and with the senior administrator. It's more like one out of five. The newly met "Foreman Slavik Mikhaylov" of the "Free Workers State" could very well be the strongest leader at the moment, with two stations loyal to him.

But he doesn't worry Gustav, despite being newer and possibly more powerful. Gustav is scared of Kira, the woman who runs the "Amazon" station within the Republic. His mind is flips back and forth from raw, untamed passion and hysterical, paranoid terror.

And now this unexplained, woman who likes being choked has put a ring in an envelope. Terrified, he rips it open slowly and pours the..... This is not a ring.... This object is filled in... It's like a gold coin, only it's blank on both sides and suitably thicker, with flat sides..... Actually, it's like a ring you can't put your finger inside....

Matvei is naturally able to make some time to privately talk to Gustav on a personal level. After some brief explanations, the professional STALKER, Scout, Scavenger, and Explorer backs into his chair in wide-eyed fear.

"Gustav, my man....." He shakes his head and brings his hands up to his face, pressing his fingers into his temples and resting his thumbs on his cheeks... "I understand your concerns about unity in the face of our enemies..... but....What the hell has happened to you?"

Matvei embraces Gustav from the side, patting him on the back and trying to not make this moment too awkward.

Matvei surprisingly enough, has a wife named Elizaveta and three children. His oldest is nine and the youngest is three. The children realize he is own and quickly try to ambush him with warmth and hugs, with the smallest of the three wanting to be picked up. His wife talks a few steps out from the kitchen and waves to him and the guest. Matvei introduces the "love of his life" and she states that she was finishing up dinner. As Matvei and Gustav step inside the small, but private kitchen.... They see the pot of soup or stew with steam rising up from it. It smells of something they are not familiar with and as they get closer, she tells them what is in it.

E "I was able to get some salt, dried rat meat, and chicken remains, along with some bones soaked for a long time. It has a salty, almost a bit meaty taste..... Oh and that expired concentrate you provided..... I think that was meant to be some kind of fruit flavor..... I was able to salvage some of it and ferment it a bit..... It's not exactly Kompot.... but it's a start......."

Gustav is surprised, he's never had Kompot and he does not have a lot of memory about what sugar is like. He remembers there once having been rations which in some ways were better and worse than the food now.... But things are certainly better with regular, if small amounts of meat and plenty of different vegetables to go around.

She had also managed to make some kind of red stew at the same time.

E "Oh... This is Borscht... It's a lot of beets, cabbage, carrots, and potatoes..... This was something that was widely available once upon a time...."

Some of the previous QMs made it obvious what all the rolls were for, but I don't think they all did. I can for example make it obvious that I rolled a "Critically Low" for Bandit Threat and "Reduced" for Faction Threat/Number. I typically roll extra dice and if I need them, I can just refer back to the extra numbers.

If I ever am rolling 2d52, I'm rolling for cards. If I'm rolling 1d100s after people selected actions, I'm using the same mechanics used in most traditional /civ/s. A lot of this stuff was explained or shows up in the notes of the players.

Seems poor Junior never really had a family to begin with. Or seen what a good marriage is like.

Maybe by seeing what a good marraige is like, he can think on whether or not himself and Kira will have one.

Or if they won't.

The problem is even if they won't the state has to survive. She wouldn't tear down the alliance if we didn't marry her. . .would she?

"Matvei........... Who were you before The World Ended? What happened to your parents?"

M "I was a poor orphan, spent time off and on borderline homeless." Matvei's face began to smile and he chuckled twice, before his face locked up, and the color seemed to drain from him. There was this long, stare... At nothing. "I don't call it The World Ending..... I call it......" His mouth was open, but no words came out.

E "When we got down into the tunnels..... All the people who bothered us were locked outside on the other end........ There was enough food for about a year or more... I think all that powder they used to put in their arms or breathe in.... That got trapped on the top too..."

M "Yeah..... And all those sticks they would set on fire and suck in.....That smelled so bad, most of them are trapped on top too......"

"Those people who create problems.....I think a few of them managed to get down here, I think I saw a few in my station."

Matvei lifted his head and looked over at his friend, concerned "No shit? Where? What happened to them?"

"I think I shot them....." Gustav looked up at them both and he sighed out, shaking his head. He leaned back in his chair, settling his head back and closing his eyes. "All of these things I've been hearing about the past..... Are just so bad....."

M "Yeah, but I don't understand why you are stressing..... There might be a war but.... There was wars before things changed.... And you still have a double station of soldiers...."

Gustav raised his head just enough to strain his eyes and try to look at both of them. His delayed look at Elizaveta.

E "Its a girl thing..."

M "Oh shit, Kira....Right.... There was something going on between you two.... What is that all about?"

Gustav closed his eyes and rested his head, breathing in and then breathing out. "I don't even know.... There is something about her that I can't explain.... It just takes a hold of me..... But I am so scared of it....."

E "Oh..... That...... That put us together and almost tore us apart."

There was this kind of silence, his hearing was not good enough to hear their breathing over his own.

M "Yeah....."

There was the sound coming from her direction of movement in her chair, but it didn't sound like she was standing up.

E "When we were kids, Matvei said he would always look out for me....... And he wasn't a dickhead..."

M "...........But I think I..."

E "I did too........But um..... You apologized."

M "I did?"

E "You apologized every single day for nine years......"

M "When did you apologize?"

E "I started about ten years ago, I do a string of apologizes every three years."

Gustav just froze.... "What about last year?"

M "I think we decided she's good for now....."

...

"Are we talking about your ch"

E "Yes.... It's all I can give."
>>
>>5313893
"This is um....... I believe the word is uncomfortable......"

M "Well... Whatever is going on between you and Kira makes me uncomfortable......"

E "Hey.... Kids have to come from somewhere.... Are we really going to get all bothered about something that is completely natural? All of us are made the same way.... I didn't give any serious details."

"Well uh...... Kira freaks me out...... I looked up her nickname and asked around..... She's got some nickname based on some spider.... Which I think eats its husband....."

E "Oh that's not good..... Don't spiders also have poison?"

M "If it comes from an animal, it's venom.... Yeah, that is concerning...... That doesn't sound like a station thing.... That's a before times thing.... Like a crime or secret police thing....."

"She was a secret police thing.... She was something called 'FSB'...... But that could be fake.... She had fake papers or something.... I don't know about this.... I do not know if she can be trusted or if things will work between me and her... Or if she'll kill me or what..... But I worried that this new Confederation will not last if I spur her advances."

E "Mmmm, tricky..... You could both look into it together."

"And I want to be absolutely strapped.... Learn to fight.... Have teams of guards at all times....."

M "Sounds expensive....."

"Is there that much to salvage these days?"

M "You got me there...."

>>5315680
>>5315419
This is about what Junior is going to do. He's currently stuck where he has to make a decision, we can't just skip ahead a week... This needs to be resolved somehow.

Previous write-ins provided a little bit of steam for how this process could start and perhaps the middle, but the rest of it needs more steam.... more write ins...

Perhaps a reflection on what is happening will be enough, perhaps.
>>
>>5315711
If I were to suggest my own bits.

>Junior recognizes that as he is leader of the SPS and Kira is leader of the Amazons, an important alliance, their relationship may invariably dictate the future of more than just themselves. Essentially, it would be bad to let that sour
>Kira and himself are physically attracted to each other, especially Kira. But they both seem to have a plethora of demons. Junior has. . .some strange violent tendencies, and Kira is baby hungry. Furthermore their attraction is purely physical. Does he even like Kira otherwise enough to marry her?
>Are there risks in not marrying her? How could that play out in the long run. Can he even put it off. Should he put it off?

>Having had no parental figures, no previous life experience besides living in this underground post apocalypse, Junior hopes that Matvei might shed some advice. Whether or not he should. And maybe the Administrator might make a suggestion

This seems to be the case right? Now, for a write-in, are you aslo essentially asking us to make a decision for Junior? Cause truth be told, I'm hoping Matvei might at least voice any advice.

If he has no actual advice, it seems likely Junior just might up and take that proposal seeing it as a responsibility.
>>
>>5315719
The Couple might have advice if Junior discloses his thoughts or what he knows.
>>
>>5315928
"Matvei, I need your advice. You seem to be happy with your marriage. And you're like a leader to your people. But I think Kira was able to recognize you were already married. Me? I'm a young man. I'm fit I guess. And well, we already fucked. And she wants me.

Should I marry her? What if I say no, and it leads to breaking of ties with the Amazons? Even war?"
>>
>>5317914
M"Well I am indeed happy...., but when we started on this path I was just 12..... I haven't really known anyone else."

E"There was that blonde with the long legs...."

M"And she was absolutely crazy, and still lives in our station..... Never again.... My point is that I only have the perspective of one relationship and one mistake."

"Well, you're like a leader to your people... Surely you can give me advice."

M"The Admin runs a lot of the day to day affairs, but when it comes to the outside world and risks.... Yeah.... That's my problem..."

"Kira was able to recognize that you are already married. But me? I'm a young man, and I'm reasonably fit... I passed boot camp after all..... And she's already had sex with me twice.... She wants me...."

Gustav is worried, concerned, and uncomfortable when weighing these decisions. He has his problems and he's trying to heal, to relax.... but even if he wasn't personally scared of her... He's worried about what she can do... The politics of it all....

"Should I marry her? What if I say no.....and it leads to breaking of ties with the Amazons..... Could it even lead to war?"

Elizaveta

E "If she breaks ties with you or even wants to fight, that's a psycho bitch...and we don't need her...."

"Matvei?"

M "It's your two stations and mine against hers.... And that's if her station wants to take the risk and join her in her madness..... And that also is a big If about if she's insane enough....."

"She has a team of professionals right with her.... Right in this station......"

M "Yours and mine are also in this station... We have recruits from the Free Workers State as well...... We can't talk them into attacking strangers... But I imagine if people start shooting and at you and me... They're going to assume the people who started shooting are the problem....."

"Well... I don't know if I am ready for marriage......"

E "You should tell her and explain yourself in person..... And bring guards... and my husband with his men...."

"But um..... My choices are a bit limited....and there is still something about her...."

E "If you're going to keep sleeping with each other or flirting or dating or some... arrangement of all of that.... You're going to be better off if you spell out what you are comfortable with and set boundaries right away......."

M "If you make any mistakes, you should apologize as soon as possible.....and if you get into a fight you should desperate and deescalate.."
>>

Gustav became incredibly smitten with Kira... for the five billionth time. He and Gustav had planned to assemble their small teams, to tell her the news... but Gustav has basically ran off without his guards...

Kira and Gustav are making out inside what is basically a closet, furiously trading spit and breathing in each others pheromones. Kira grabs Gustav by the shoulders and pulls him off of him, panting heavily as she sees the trail of spit hanging.

K "D-Didn't you want to tell me something.... What was all those guards about?"

"I-I can't resist you, you're always in my thought and dreams.... Just so pretty.....So beautiful.."

Furious tongue wrestling ensues

K "Gustav..... Pant pant.... I think we need set boundaries or something...."

"O-Oh....Uh...... Don't bite me?"

K "Don't choke me....."

More furious, intense tongue wrestling with R rated groping and feeling each other up. Heavy panting in the dark

K "Gustav.....Weren't you going to say something to me?"

"Um..... I wanted to go steady.... Take things a little at a time...... This is my first serious relationship, I am not ready for marriage.... No matter what happens...I want us and our stations to be on good terms baby."

More tongue and hand stuff that is NC-17 rated now, cover the eyes of anyone under 18.

K "W-Weren't you.... scared of me or something? Is that what the guards are about?"

"That's not important" Gustav has become so turned on that, he's basically already gotten them both partially naked. "I need to be inside of you right now, damn the consequences."

Kira does Judo things to give them some space and keep him pinned to a wall.

K "I would be tempted if you weren't so inexperienced... And.... Aren't you not thinking about how complicated being a father will be? We could at least wait a few months."

Gustav's rolls are not good enough to seduce her or convince her otherwise. Kira and Matvei manage to be "total bros" and cover up the whole incident. Kira and Gustav are now 'going steady', and have signed documents saying they can't put down each others animals and will not be sharing property. It is also illegal for either of them to deliberately do anything that would result in pregnancies for the next two months.

The stations are legally not allowed to "enter into a state of conflict".

Head Weaponsmith "For a military station, our capacity to manufacture is not exactly up to the standard of making proper rifle casings or Kalashnikovs."

The elderly man is pacing in front of the parts, prototypes, drawings, and an old portable laptop.

HW "We can produce the proper rifle propellent, or something close enough....., We can reuse the old rifle casings as well...and we can forge lead or soft steel to make bullets.... We can even repair Kalashnikovs and produce our own PPS-43s or PPSH-41s...Provided we have enough wood......"

At this point holds up a diagram and points at it, before trying to turn it so he can look at it with you as he sets it down on the table again.

HW "Than I got access to those new books and I think I have had a breakthrough..... We can make blowback automatic weapons.... They work by having a big, heavy bolt, which uses its weight to keep the gun from cycling so fast it explodes...... The problem is that we want something more powerful than an SMG....."

He points at a book he has held open with weights, pointing at an old Hungarian SMG. He then points at a few other images and held open books.

HW "This is the famous MP5/G3 series, all using rollers to delay the blowback action. The action could be made small for a very good SMG or bigger for a powerful battle rifle or belt-fed machine gun...... This is the Hungarian 43M, which fired a more powerful, heavier bulleted version of the 7.62x25mm Tokarov we use in our SMGs.......It uses levers to delay the blowback action. This is the French Assault Rifle, FAMAS, it uses levers to delay the blowback action.... This is a rejected replacement for the Kalashnikov, also uses levers....."

He turns to look at Gustav, as Gustav is beginning to understand what the breakthrough is.

HW "I am considering trying to examine these firearm parts and diagrams to make a PPS-43 or PPSH-41.... Which has a delayed blowback action...... This will allow us to be making firearms we can make quickly, and have lots of understanding of how to make.... We even have machine tools for making them...... But we can make them fire cartridges that are increasingly powerful.... Considering we don't have much use for the big, 7.62x54mm Mosin cartridges.... I am considering chopping the casings to 32mm... We will make a cartridge between the assault rifle and the SMG in power.... Perhaps as powerful as a assault rifle round from the short Suchka......"

And of course, the reason we wanted Finished Bullets was to develop gatling guns, since there's a notorious shortage of actual MG's around here to provide suppressive fire. It's quite strange, there's almost everything from pistols, smgs, assault rifles, bolt actions, but not a single MG or even GPMG or LMG

Gatling might be better because in a tight tunnel, it can provide suppressive fire even with a steady slower rate, which will also save up on ammo. Hope we can make something like the Colt's version which was shorter and had the crank at the back instead of the side.

"Gustav! Our Dear Leader! I see you grace us with your presence again!"

The leader of the team of refugee engineers and so on shakes Gustav's hand, despite having met the guy like two months before.

"At this point we finally have expanded water purification... Despite the assumptions of a lot of people, the real bottle neck was not need to make the special barrels that water runs through... but having a means to route water into the filters and then out of them again.... We managed to completely use up all of our components..... And as you well know.... The process took forever because we couldn't interact with the Amazon Station.... Oh...and we're out of Parts...."

-

"Ah, it is you! Glad to see you are visiting again! Your reforms those few months ago have been an explosion in food production and quality...and all of this new, reasonably clean water is going to be great! Well... Except that we're quite low on charcoal or energy supplies to boil water to make it safe....... And we would have to expand our vegetable or herbal gardens with a bunch of required stuff we don't have...."

The elderly woman does seem cheerful however.

-

"Well.... Hmm" The elderly man who had been put in charge of fuel supplies and logistics, scratches at his beard. The man has completely gone bald, but it's like the hair just migrated to his face. The man could be bald Santa for all you know.

"This news that we ran out of Components and Parts is concerning, because we need them, along with other materials... to make a wood gasifier...... Didn't you say something about a number of motorcycle wrecks that were on the surface? Did you manage to salvage most of the motorcycle engines?"

He starts drawing on his notepad, and then turns it around to show you a drawing.

"I need two barrels, one I put wood inside of and the other I put wood inside of as well.... One barrel is inside the other barrel. The outer barrel has wood that is on fire, and the inner barrel has wood inside a heated up barrel. If the inner barrel gets hot enough, the wood turns into a gas...... We can then use tape and tubing to run the gas into a motorcycle engine... Modified of course..... This will allow you to meet your needs for heated water...and whatever else you need charcoal or energy for."

It ended up being the case that most of these materials were lying around or could be bartered from other stations in exchange for electricity or Salt. However, it turned out that some of the people who took the "initiative" had managed to end up having debt to the "Free Workers State".
>>
>>5325311
>>5325077
Matvei meets you while Gustav is secretly on the way to have a private, secret "information drop" that lasts 15-30 minutes inside a closet or empty section of one of his two stations.

"It would seem that both your station and mine have done a bit more borrowing than likely was a good idea.... It's gotten serious enough that the Free Workers State are expecting something vaguely like interest... Or they are trying to convince us all to consider a serious governmental shift......The policy proposal that have suggested is very confusing and I think at most... It boils down to adopting actual Communism....right here....right now..... And I don't mean like the 1980s Communism or what the Leningrad people are doing...... I mean like"

He looks down at an old book he has open and starts flipping through it, before stopping at a section with his finger.

"The goal of society is the fulfillment and happiness of it's people. Every single person is born with potential and they should be not kept from this potential in any way. Such a society will be just and kind to its people, accepting them for who they are, and will shy away from harsh punishments, oppression, and violence."

Matvei blinks at Gustav, before looking down at the book and then up at Gustav again.

"So..... What would be different? I can't tell if this is absolutely no change or it'll be some impossible Utopia."

"My current understanding is that health and food production will more or less max out.... Your Civilian Industry will actually be Good and Kira's Station will be borderline maxed out.....My station will have Great Production..... We'll see a huge uptick in efficency for Energy production.... An explosion in low level bartering and trading, which... won't effect any of our serious stockpiles.... Nor will it result in anyone ending up rich or anything.... But it would likely result in used goods circling around from people who like things to people who love them....."

He sighs out and lowers his shoulders, slumping them as he blinks at you a few times.

"A lot of this sounds pretty crazy, but considering I used to be homeless, I think it would be quite funny to achieve Communism after others tried for hundreds of years and never pulled it off...... But there is a major downside..... I think people's motivation for war is going to drop a lot.... Your station will be just like any other station.....and my station and Kira's will be deep into the red......"

We are current staring down bad, Stalinist "Communism" and crazy, insane religious reactionaries! The Revolution requires we must crush them and make Petersburg safe for Communism! Communism after we crush them!

Sadly, we might have to liberate and stabilize all of Petersburg... Possibly a good portion of Russia around us, before we can covert to Communism... I'm sorry Comrades.... You'll have to...Sniff... Embrace the wonders of Communism without us.... We'll have to just...Make due with Socialism! Libertarian Socialism! Please! Remember to do Communism three times as hard for the rest of us!

This would mean either 8 units of Weapons Parts and a week.... or perhaps two weeks and two units of Steel..... or three weeks and two or three units of Iron...and 3 units of Charcoal......Four weeks if we have to make the Charcoal.....You get the idea.... For a unit of Electrical Parts and Energy, I could make the thing crank itself..... "

The Head Weaponsmith looks down at all his charts and then looks up at you, adjusting his glasses.

"I've done some asking around and it seems the Free Workers State have at least one Iron Mine. They should be able to double production if we make it worth their while and I doubt they have any less than 5 units of Iron or Steel saved up. 5000 bullets is enough to equip 100 people for a drawn out fight (Using shotguns or single shot rifles, or weapons that only hold ten rounds). A unit of soldiers is 30-33 soldiers. Ergo, a unit of bullets should be 1650 bullets.

Because the instructions were not specific, a position of refugee negotiators were sent out with 5 units of Salt. They returned with 10 units of 7.62x39mm Kalashnikov bullets.....

"Woah..... These are actually brass jacketed, lead core.....bullets.... Like the kind the Americans might use if they had Kalash.....Amazing.... The catalog also says they sell fully manufactured ammunition that has .. steel insert........incendiary.....bullets.... The same stuff that special operations troops use...."

The weaponsmith looks at you awkwardly.

"I recently discovered that we could but a powder or paint from the Fins and just.... tumble dry the bullets till this powder cakes on.....Too late now.... We have 16,500 bullets..... And even if we had two Gatling guns....One for the south and one for the west.... I don't see us ever using more than 400 or 500 bullets in all......."

He starts writing and doing math on his paper, grumbling and trying to concentrate, before he looks up at you again.

"16,000 bullets.....divided among 100 people is 160 bullets each.... Which is a full combat loadout more or less..... Some of that could go into SKS Carbine or Kalashnikov.... and the rest we will make into new ammunition..... For new powerful SMG I figured out how to make and made prototype of...... This will allow us to get into raging gun battle...TWICE......and then be worried about ammunition stockpiles..... Perhaps this is one of many reasons why War is such an expensive affair."

This seems dangerous. There's many perks, BUT I hate the idea of eroding our precious influence on the state and opening the door for Leningrad.

I'm still hoping out we can accomplish something like a League or Confederation. But failing that, let's not go hand over heels to Leningrad.

True Communism involves respect for education, science, and engineering. Lots of heads nod as this speech is given and recorded to be broadcast privately to the Free Workers State. A telegram which returned indicates that the speech was broadcast inside their stations and well received. It's not as fiery as the ones made by their "Foreman" Slavik Mikhaylov, but it is familiar to them. The People indeed do come first, and "theory" is not the same thing as what was discovered to be.

All debts are forgiven and the combined messages of Slavik/Gustav are prepared to be smuggled into unhappy stations. Kira and Matvei are offering over their combined special teams, and additional manpower scourged from all allied stations gives a free action (Provided its for scouting, raiding, or negotiating).

There is a strong rumbling among the people, mostly those who take initiative and lead. They are worried about the lack of news from either of our enemies. What if they are all dead, or are waiting to riot and switch sides? What about the diseases? What if they fell into anarchy and the people are starving?

It would see something has to be done this week, no waiting.

People must be enjoying their 4th of July.

>1. Construction
>Channel the peoples concerns into action. Build up the Western Defenses
Most of what they worry about are things to our advantage. Dead or in riots? We are given time. Disease? We are all vaccinated. Famine and starvation? We have the food and reserves.

We have the advantage, let's keep it up. Put your fears into work, and you can at least gain the security to know you are doing something about it.

>1. Construction
We have a great many building projects we want done. Why not build a Construction Depot to further speed things along? If we don't have the material after increasing the western defenses, then shift this into a manufacturing action for what it is we need.

>Free Action: Scout for stuff
We're going to be using up a lot of stuff in the near future with all of this building and weapons dev. Go scout out for stuff we will likely need. Resources for construction, or weapons components for the Gatlings, or anything else that we can't naturally make or could barter to the Fins for.

"Did you seriously found a club, help establish half the rules, write the rules down, explain the rules...and then not join the club or follow your own rules?"

He puts his hands on his hips, watching.

"If we're going to be this big... democratic, organized Confederation....Where the people and prosperity come first.... Why should we let a single station we border burn itself to the ground or become a can full of rotting corpses? We already have plenty of smart and talented people from one of these outside stations... There would be so much wasted potential if we did nothing.... And... You're supposed to the the leader of two military stations.... Maybe we should care the slightest bit what is happening to our enemies? They might be in disarray and this is the time to attack....."
>>
An aggressive strategy. I like that. Well, if Matvei and Kira believes we're in a good position, and they have recently suffered a famine and other setbacks, the time to strike is now.

>8. Political Action
Discreetly gather the most relevant personnel, influential station leaders, former refugees from the fanatics who can give maps of the area and important figures. We're going to quietly explain our causes for war and ensure solidarity of cause.

Tell them we had initially thought of a defensive strategy, where we let our enemies whither while we prosper, until our strength is greater than theirs. But our strength is greater than theirs right now. They've suffered defeat and famine. Why let them recoup? The time to get rid of those fanatics is now. Let us deliver a major blow to them, and if fortune favors us, perhaps even take territory. The Leningraders have dealt the first blow, now lets deal the last.

>6.Training
Mobilize what troops we can, have them armed, ready to march and drilled. This will be our first major battle, let's do better than the fanatical human wave tactics.

>Free Action: Raid the fanatics for intelligence
Have Matvei and Kira try and capture fanatic scouts and patrols for information, quietly and discreetly. If possible, make it look like it was the efforts of leningraders or perhaps 'accidents' and not us.

The intelligence networks are able to glean that the Fanatics have arranged their society over the last 15 years to be incredibly good at rooting out spies, rebels, and dissidents. The Confederation has been able to convince its members that now is the time to go prepare for war and to strike, and able to keep its plans mostly a secret from the other factions.

It is unlikely they will get much help or assistant from partisans within the Fanatical territory.

No Result, Almost Critical Fail

The forces possibly are all as trained as they can be, or the in the chaos of the situation, further training leads to no improvement.

Strong Success, Yes AND!

A small, private tunnel around the cave-in was made and nearby guards that were posted, were captured. The two team leaders and their personally are under the opinion that they were able to make it look like the Leningradists did it. At the same time, 2 Wood, 1 Electrical Part, 1 Stone and 6 Components were salvaged.

Further Scouting was able to evade some patrols and get closer to the stations of the Fanatics. It would seem they are planning and preparing for an invasion. There is little indication of current starvation or widespread disease. This is very strange, as we knew there was an outbreak in that area recently.

The manhours for both can be googled, pretty sure.
>>
>>5334322
I regret not saving any of the recipes for weapons and I'm not able to find them again.

Wiki says PPSH took 8 hours of machining to make. But if we're not using machines but uh, hand tools, can we be generous and say 16 hours? In a 2 week period that would be 9PPSH.

If we did have machine tools that would be 18 PPSH presuming only enough for single production a piece.
>>
>>5334937
We have machining, and we have all the required tools.

I recall saying something about needing steel, and how we could get steel, and how we could get the stuff to make steel, and the stuff for that stuff.

Try looking up the world Iron on this page.
>>
>>5325353
I found where I stated the requirements for both a Gatling Gun and 10 AKMs.

So this would be enough for 15 of our newly designed weapons and we need two amounts of this to make one Unit to outfit 30 people.
>>
>>5335420
So just for jotting it down:

Hand Crank Gatling Gun OR 10 AKM's OR 15 PPSH
8 Weapons Parts +1 Week
OR
2 Units of Steel + 2 Weeks
OR
3 Units Iron + 3 Units Charcoal + 2 weeks

If we lack Charcoal, it will take us +2 more weeks to make the stuff

Can be upgraded to electric fire with electrical Parts and if we have electricity

AND
The Leningraders probably have 5 units of either Iron or Steel

Bleh, I hate having to trade with them when we can avoid it. But we may have to focus on one enemy at a time.

I really should add the incomes of our Iron and CharCoal to the doc at some point
>>
>>5335482
Actually, our Iron income is exactly ZERO!

Cause we have a Salt Mine and a Stone mine that currently make 1 a week a piece because they are half populated, and will make 2 a week if fully popped.

So we're gonna need to trade or smelt something down. And we've basically picked clean the local scavenging options.

So we are gonna need to trade someone for metal to get the parts we need for war.
>>

As much as I loathe to trade with the free state. . .we can't fight a war without guns. And we need more guns.

To make guns, we will need metal.

We have like 5 excess units of food, plus we should have like 1 or 2 salt units to act as preservative. As a last resort we may have some leftover vaccine their leaders might be interested in.

I suggest we trade them for iron or steel, whichever we can get the better deal out of.

Then next turn, as the war with the fanatics rages on, we can manufacture the weapons pronto.

Strong Success, Minor Success, Minor Success

We actually can't make AKMs, so this was defaulted towards our newly discovered weapon. We completed two weeks of production in one week and thus have 30 of the required weapons with ammunition.

Strong Success, Yes AND!

We have produced 3 Stone and Salt this week. Due to our expressed interest of constantly mining salt and stone to sell to the Free Workers State, they have contacted Finland in order to offload excess resources and have focused on more Iron/Steel production.

The result of this is that we will receive another 2 steel next turn.

Critical Success, Matvei Planning

as there best men would be part of the attack team' so not many men who specialize in combat would be left in there station

Matvei's team rolled worse than the enemy by a lot during a critical stealth operation.

Will he die? Will members of the two teams die?

Will the operation take no losses but have to pull back?

Without the operation, will the defense of the main stations be a brutal and difficult defense?

Tune in the next time I am motivated to run this. (We're both on the board at the same time, thinks work out, and everyone doesn't vote for a completely different location.)

I am currently running another thread at the moment, because I kept having writer's block for this and ideas for something else.
