>The Scarlet Shadow

>Origin story
>A science experiment gone wrong, our main man was trying to find a cure for cancer by infusing animal genes into humans, unfortunately nothing worked and all his clients eventually succumbed to their illness. At the end of his rope and with his funding nearly cut, Simon Chalamet decides to turn himself into his last test subject. He infused his DNA with vampire bat DNA, and discovered that his body was 100% cancer free! Not that he had cancer to begin with, but as an added bonus the vampire bat DNA gave him strange powers, including a intense hunger for human blood!

>Description of character
>Looks like pic related, and has the ability to control and manipulate blood. Kind of an edgelord, he's really just overcompensating for being a meek nerd at heart. His henchmen all dress like the classic Bella Lugosi Dracula, lots of red and black and capes.

>Villain name
Nihil
>Origin Story
The heir to the large tech company "Luxor", Lucian Aurus desired nothing than freedom since childhood, but even as a little kind his desire of freedom manifested in peculiar ways, he was utmost dilligent, rarely spoke unless prompted and always did what his parents told him to, prefering relish in being left alone than rebelling. All of this changed when his parents died in a tragic accident and young Lucian found himself in charge of Luxor. What fallowed was a large crisis within both the company and Lucian as bad finances and the constant stress made him leave behind his old life in search of what true freedom is and how to attain it. After years of wandering the world, Lucian joined the ranks of an east-asian cult whose foundation was the escape of man from the world that binds him. Quickly rising through the ranks, he devised the philosophy of "Kaihokarasonzai" or "Freedom from Being" under the pseudonym of Nihil, which preaches that freedom in the modern sense is just a spook and that its true from lies in utter nothingness. After purging the members of the cult who tried to oppose him in his rise to power, he is back to claim his heirloom as Lucian Aurus, so that Nihil may succede in giving true freedom to the world.
>Description of character
He is a tall and lanky man in his late 20s, whose pale skin hangs unto his bones after years of a willing ascentic livestyle. A scar is visible near his right eye, a reminder of an earlier battle against a more militant member of his cult. He is an ascentic who, while still ploting to end existance, will not go out of his way to cause suffering, preferring to use his words and connections to open doors for future developments in his. His henchmen are his loyal followers who don in white and black robes and masks during ceremonies and common clothing in the public.

Congratulations, Scarlett Shadow. You are now in the big leagues. >Villain name
Blood Diamond
>Origin story as brief as you like
The only son of the owner of a diamond mine, while he had no objections to his family's more illegal practices he found them boring. After his parents had a bizarre accident and somehow drowned in the soup they were having for dinner Blood Diamond gave some nice donations to the local police force before selling the mine and leaving the country he grew up in.
>A description of your character's appearance, abilities, personality, and henchmen
Blood Diamond looks totally unassuming, but when on Guild business wears what can be best described as a copy of Moist von Lipwig's golden suit from Discworld with a domino mask.
The only reason he wants to join the Guild is because he thinks the whole thing is ridiculous enough to be hilarious, and he expects it will be more entertaining than being a standard evil c.e.o.
He has no special powers of his own but has acces to several billion dollars and just hires or buys whoever or whatever he needs for his current plan, which can range from pathetically petty to ruining someone's life, based on whatever he feels like.

>Wheeler [John Kirov]

>A soldier of fortune, born in the early 60s he went into the army as quickly as anything and left after accumilating enough training and familiarity with how the armies of the cold war worked, finding their lack of action and their low pay to be inadequate for his desires.
>From the age of 23, he was a lean and mean merc who took jobs right into the heart of the danger zone, racking up experience and money in equal measure until he was a premium service that took jobs as he desired rather than as was requested.
>After pulling out of the mercenary buissness, John took his savings and bought a large commercial building in an american city and refurbished it as an accepting refuge for the strange, the apartments known as "The Uneven Hotel". Supers had already begun to crop up at this point, and Kirov had developed his own abilities very subtly over his lifetime, so his kinship with the powered but unfortunates was rather keenly felt. His low rates and fierce protectiveness of both property and tenants made the occupancy skyrocket and permit expansion, alongside employment of some of his tennants into managers and guardians of the Hotel and their sister locations. Now he is getting older, nearing his 50's and age has begun to wear away at the hardbitten edge he once possessed. New deterrence must be found for his properties, after all, he is only one man.

>A late 40's male with greying brown hair, cut short on everywhere but his fringe which he makes a habit of slicking back. Still incredibly well defined muscle mass and stands at around 5'9

>Abilities: Movement based force multiplication/division. There are Three aspects to the power.
1. The first is the faster I move, The more I weaken structures and people around me and the more damage I do with a blunt force attack.
At a walk, I am above baseline human able to ignore small arms fire. with my weakening/breakable aura noticable enough to send a grown man stumbling with a gentle push. At a sprint I could maybe send a small car skidding a few meters with a punch, reducing a foot of concrete's strength to that of wet sand and A man's bones like jelly.

2. The second part is the inverse. By moving slower, then I am more durable. Walking, I could shrug off small arms fire and armour piercing rounds are very ineffective. Sprinting would make me just bruise from gun shots while Armour peircing rounds and above work as they would against unpowered individuals. Standing still renders armour peircing wholly harmless.
As a final aspect, I am able to accelerate from a dead stop to a run in a second before my speed bleeds down to normal and stop in a half second. Strafing has never been easier.

To better use this power, he often makes usees of shotguns and other very close range weaponry, like brass knuckles in conjunction with modern bodyarmour, as much as he can get it.

>Regarding henchmen, he only possesses 4 supers of middling usefulness or power, such as a man who makes hosts of grasping hands appear out of stone from up to 16 feet away, and several dozen persecuted or on the run supers with nowhere else to turn whom rely on on him to act as landlord, protector and judge within the domain of the Uneven Corridoors, of which there are some 6 locations across america, acting as safehouses and neutral ground for many different groups.

>BANG

If you cannot run an evil organisation, you have no buissness complaining when a coup occurs.
Now then, Ladies and Gentlemen of Evil, I shall be assuming the position of guildmaster over the incredibly disappointing corpse which now lies dead under the meeting table, a fine shark treat shall he make.

Welcome to The Guild of Calamitous Intent!
Due to restructuring of management and bureaucracy, I will have to HEAVILY SUGGEST you fill out your new forms, adopt your nametag and report to the conference room, or Else.

>Name
>Your power type [Psychic, Mechanical, Biological]
>Getting into the role is optional, but recommended for funs sake.

Right so I'm taking over this shindig, and I'm going to style it in a game format. The goal is to produce a superweapon with which to threaten the world with, and to do so we will have a tier based tech tree. If you've played School of the dead quest from 2018 this will be familiar.

To win for your power type, you have to create the Superweapon. Due to limited funding, only one invention will be green lit per turn, with players rolling 1d100 and the highest being selected. This roll will be augmented by "FAVOUR" which can be earned by completing secondary tasks for the Guild, 5 favour would mean 1d100+5.

Tier 1 "inventions" are able to affect the individual who uses them.
Tier 2 "Inventions" are able to affect Animals.
Tier 3 "Inventions" are able to afffect hapless goons, foolish reporters and the general public in a very small area.
Tier 4 "Inventions" are able to effect Cities worth of civilians at a time or finally effect those wretched do gooders, the Super League members!
And Tier 5 is Superweapon tier, once this is achieved the game is over and a faction declared the winner. They can threaten the world.

Each tier requires that there are 4 inventions below it, so you need 4 tier 1 inventions to create a tier 2. And you need 4 tier 2 to start work creating a tier 3. Tier 5 requires 5 tier 4 inventions.

Psychic inventions are to do with mind-based powers, think professor X or Siren, they manipulate minds.
Mechanical inventions are Robotics and digital based mad science.
Biological is the usual fare of super soldiers, monsters and genetic improvements.

Inventors of one type cannot create another type, but by collaborating with another, a Hybrid invention can be created.

And of course, if you do a mission for the guild, roll a d100. the one with the highest roll in that mission gets +5 favour, and then a variable amount of favour based on the roll itself.

Now then, as you can see, My coup of the Guild was not entirely without issue. The fighting has damaged the henchmen quarter and will need some repairing quite quickly, while someone else will need to go and hunt down all the slaves who escaped from the energy producing reactor of unethical working conditions. We're also in dire need of a large and imposing ornate door, seeing as how Soverigns corpse made a very large hole in it while he was still breathing.

So while you are all biting at the Bit to propose your latest devious inventions, perhaps you would spare a hand or prosthetic replacement towards these most pressing matters

>Repair the Henchmens quarters
>Hunt down the slaves for the Power Generator of Unethical Working Conditions.
>Install an imposing Door to the Guild base.

Ah Simulacrum, So glad that you could make it for our reshuffling.

Yes, indeed, I can see some confusion on your application, you will find that Memetic brainwashing in the vein of media overload and films would be Mechanical, while Psychic memes would be placing the ideas directly in others heads and exerting an unnatural control over the masses of humanity.

But it is all very good to see both of you present!

>I'm going to leave the place open for another hour or two, then give the quest rewards and invention post.

I am glad to be welcomed here.
Anyway, I will throw my lot in the Mechanical path, as for the Psychic doctrine, I don't reckon we will, at most, need some old projection technology, but it will work regardless.

The AI implant, Trade Steward, while rather excellent with large scale bets and developing ideal long term scores and investments, is still rather simplistic and incapable of determining how others will react to outside stimuli, making unexpected market changes completely throw off it's predictions as will trying to give it insufficient data points, like the sale of Nuclear reactors or Enweakenium, the weakness of my own enemy Theodore the Strongman! We should surely keep an eye out to see what has become of our old collegue.

However, a useful clue is found at last, As one of the henchmen swaggered into the compound, he was dogpiled and detained as his truth came out under hours of intensive disco torture.
He'd not been present for the past 3 weeks, and had been trusting his friends to cover for his absence. . yet they had had no intention of doing so, but somehow he was still logged in and logged out with clockwork regularity.

Every hour, the room temperature will be highered by 1 degree until, after almost 5 hours, the pipe will melt and at that point Electro will pray that its the lack of air that kills him. This whole contraption will be placed very deep underground, to make sure our little guest will not mess with electronics on land and in the air.
If he at any point tries to use his powers on the gallium pipe, the heat generated will melt it, if he tries to break the lightbulb and somehow manages to swim out of the battery acid, he will be stoped by the faraday cage and will be obliteraded by wooden arrows fired by my sigmarines, its the perfect trap!

Devilishly intricate and thermatic to boot my trusty AI. Though it stalled the traumatised superhero for multiple hours, it was ultimately more humane than his previous treatment and revealed several interesting facets about his biology, mainly the complete lack of most basic human fuels like air, water or food.
His capacity to make a file out of wood and unusual capacity for creating puppet versions of myself also contributed to his escape, but that's what we get for using minions.

>Simulacrum favour = +20

But ultimately that does not matter, for while he escaped, we still managed to extort the Superleague for several Billion gold bullion! So it is with great pleasure, I announce we have the capacity to fund TWO proposals per turn!
Due to the difficulty of breaking new ground, it will still require a full dedication to developing the first device of a new tier, but the second and higher invention can be proposed alongside another invention.
If a tier has 4 devices in it, it may have an invention proposed and ALSO take part in another action to aid the guild, due to being intimately aware of the technological limits.

The guild finds that such acts attract far too much heat from the Superleague, and even when such endevours are successful, the costs of successfully running a country are greater than any material benefit making them none viable for many members, and offer little to the guild for those that can. More successful members make their capitol with scams, schemes and legitimate but exploitative buissness models.

Naturally, you are free to dominate the puny nations of the world, But the guild will have no hand in it, other than suggesting liberal use of T4 technology.

Go wild with your plots and plans, but I'm not going to make systems for it or offer bonuses to individuals who went and conquored Korea or Japan or the USA or what have you. So keep it in the Fluff, enjoy yourself but I won't allow it to justify changes to the basic system I've got going.

Perhaps it should be considered that the creator of the superweapon is the one whom shall be permitted to lead the guild in it's usage, such a position is rather prominent. . .

Hmm these zakuu are curious, they remind me of Martian exo systems, the green contrasted with the red reminds me of home, I simply must create a mock-up for my troops and so with many weals of 3D printing, laything sawdering and even integrating a machine gun I give you the terran rated exo system. Painted in cammo this mighty machine can take out a platoon of men if necessary, quick with various anti grav systems to allow for speed and maneuverability, a field emmiter has been integrated to prevent possible radiation based weaponry and my troops will use this system.

It is through the diligent searching of our colleague Simulacrum that the trails have turned warm. The list of candidates with means, motive and oppertunity have dwindled from several thousand to a mere 20, which was then cut down further through the elegant deception of Disco, making a very impressive guise as an out of date nerd who loved an outdated music trend with a deep and abiding passion. Such a tempting target proved too much, and contact was made.

The subtle support granted to the league has payed rather significantly, the LUE's forward agents have been systemically thwarted and confounded, preventing them from effectively retaliating against the SuperLeague, but more importantly has pushed their revenue stream into the danger zone, their lifeblood restricted with an iron grip on their pipelines.

>>5313358
Further theft and scamming of their infastructure has redirected, misled, deleted or otherwise made their funding and materials vanish, another crippling blow to their economic and power projection capabilities.
Simulacrum was even able to find that their plan hinged upon the usage of bio-aerosol mind control gas!

>>5313356
the council, meanwhile has granted the funding to produce the Disco-death-defying duplicator, though as usual, the specs were slightly out of the specialization of the member whom attempted to produce them, and so they seem to have adapted.
The mechanical dopplegangerrs have a body on par with many of the members of this guild's upper echelons, sturdy and powerful enough to throw a car across a bridge! though unfortunately their faces are often subject to the uncanny valley effect due to misshaped plastic surgery over robotic features.
It does however provide a cheap-manner of immortality, even at the risk of data corruption over long periods or obsession with dancing.

Should the pressure ever get too much, it could even fly away!

>Mass Mind Market Manipulator! with advances of mind control technology, this device will create an area of effect which shall cover an entire continent in a daze of dancing stupor, while mechanical hummingbird drones cover the sky to infect the stunned beings with the mind control chips, nestling into their spines so that the device may control their every thought, action and impulse!

>Operation: Children! With the guilds extensive practice, this creation is a multi-media studio and factory, capable of creating the most fantastic meme-infused toys and adverts in creation, hijacking signals and stations the world over to encourage consumerism for the products which, when placed in the hands of the stupid and gullible, like children!, they shall be steadily indoctrinated to reject the hero's of their elders and embrace the EEEEEEEEEVILLLLLLL, that the Guild so proudly champions!

>Any other mega-weapon for world dominion based on the mechanical technologies we possess!

This undertaking is the greatest the guild has ever undertaken as a collective, only one may be produced and even then, it shall strain our resources to the limits!

>OPERATION GOLDENRAY!

The guild stirs, like the great leviathan that it is, dancing to the tune of the mastermind of Luxor Industries, Project GoldenRay is put to place with great precision and many many evil laughs. Entire countries infiltrated at once, as the price of good and gasoline are fixed higher and higher, paper's buying power is dramatically lowered through manipulation of the printing presses and leaks of such news to the general public, turning the currencies of the world into so much green paper!

With such havoc comes rioting, unrest! those super fools of the superleague have their hands full trying to restrict and restrain the people they are there to aid from tearing themselves apart as slowly, steadily the Guild's henchmen infiltrate the riots and the protests and begin to plant the ideas of a better government, more 'Fair' means of the world being run, steadily turning their skeptisism into adoration of the disco-bopping legions which stomp into the capital cities across the world!
The Cognimines were vital to the process, keeping the populace from noticing or questioning the slow response of their overlords from setting the world back in order, while we keep a rapidly tightening iron grasp on the world powers.

Unfortunately the superleague are a resilient group of cockroaches, even after their outlawing they refused to heed our mind-washing cease and desist orders, instead going underground, in some cases literally, to avoid our wrath. . . and after a world in our hands for a mere week! the generators of GoldenRay were torn asunder in a terrific explosion felt a hundred miles away, our resource production was hijacked to relieve the suffering of the masses and worst of all, the constant media barrage of mind controlling waves was disabled! Without the pacifying effect of the cogniomines on the wider populace their uprisings mirrored our own and we have been cast back to the fringes of society!
CURSE YOU, SUPER LEAGUE!
>>
>>5317635
In the wake of the failure of Operation GoldenRay, Guildmaster Wheeler was brought to task by the strikeforce of the superleague, and made to stand trial for his crimes in the Hague, before being sentenced to the Black Pit, the most inescapable Prison in the old world.

>Simulacrum
The AI made good use of his standing and the power vaccum to cleanly and swiftly take over the position of Guildmaster, his cunning mind and mindcontrol technology giving him the required edge to rule over the rest of the guild comfortably, While his comrades Disco Roboto and Martian marauder became his left and right hand respectively, the trio of villains effectively monopolised the worlds most powerful criminal organisation under their combined grasp.
For how long such an alliance can last is unknown, but what is known, is that whence ever their gaze turns, Calamity follows!

The world will be left asunder for our taking!
And everybody will fear the name of THE GUILD OF CALAMITOUS INTENT!

Until then however... LET'S DANCE!*cue Discobot*

"Yo, Martian Marauder, let's fire up a spaceship and go pick up some Moon bitches!"

And we all lived calamitously ever after, cloning ourselves for hundreds and hundreds of years, so that we may never truly die.
