A lone hooded swordsman stood atop the corpse of a slain dragon, his cloak billowing in the wind as he looked forward to his next target. About a month ago, the kingdom of Guardia had nearly fallen into a great crisis thanks to the bizarre incursions of enemies that had seemingly appeared from out of nowhere. The swordsman wasn't sure just what the cause of the invasion was, but he was certain that he would not allow them to ruin the future he had already fought so hard to protect. It had been five years since he had saved the future from the wrath of Lavos, and Glenn had no intention of allowing the work he and his friends did to mean nothing.

"There he is men! That's the one! These genocidal Star Spawn will be the doom of this planet if we don't stop them, and he's the leader!" An annoying sounding high pitched voice quickly got Glenn's attention, and he gripped his blade tightly, prepared for another battle so soon after slaying one of the dragons that had taken up lairs in the wilderness all around the world... though it wasn't really much of a battle, he hadn't even needed to use the power of the Grandreamleon to strike down the dragons he encountered thus far.

"Leader...?" The swordsman turned to face the source of the voice, only to find himself staring down at... a group of small, somewhat humanoid creatures wearing what looked like buckets on their head. "You've got to be kidding me..." He had of course defeated all sorts of strange beings that had attempted to attack Guardia on his quest to find the cause of the bizarre incursions into his time period, but... none were quite so harmless looking as these. "Look, I'm not any sort of leader, I'm just a knight trying to get to the bottom of this, I'd rather not fight you... don't you have your own world to go back to or something?" Glenn tried to defuse the situation, he didn't know where these enemies had come from, but he'd feel bad if he attacked such weak looking enemies... it didn't feel like the chivalrous thing to do.

"Ha! The primate is showing fear! He fears the superior firepower of the dwarves! Now! Ambush!" Glenn sighed as he watched three large wood and metal vehicles billowing plumes of smoke trundle out of the nearby trees, flattening a few of them as they drove through the forest, and just causing Glenn to pinch the bridge of his nose in frustration. "Open fire! Kill this one, and then we kill the rest of these blasted humans before they can do any more damage to nature!" Glenn was at a complete loss for words as he looked at his woefully unprepared enemies... as harmless looking as they were, he couldn't allow them to live after declaring they weren't willing to listen to reason.
>>
After staring at the advancing vehicles for a few seconds, Glenn pointed a finger at the dwarves and shot a small orb of Ki at them, which proceeded to detonate violently and leave nothing but a crater behind in place of the vehicles and the dwarves charging at him. "What a waste." The knight turned away from the smoking crater, dissatisfied in the way things were going, he took no pleasure in killing his opponents, but it was evidently clear that the invading enemies from what he assumed had to be some sort of parallel world were ones who were incapable of being reasoned with. He had a specific target in mind though, everyone he met had been worried by the strange tower that had appeared in the middle of the ocean that was visible for miles around, and while he had focused on dealing with the incursions that presented a threat to the innocent people of Guardia and the world itself first, he knew that the tower was almost certainly linked to the source of the strange invaders, though it had only appeared a few days ago itself, a few days after the last dragon had appeared in the world.

He had slain all six of the dragons that had appeared over the course of the month, originally, he had hoped that the incursions would stop after some time, but that unfortunately hadn't been the case. Enemies continued to appear from portals that opened and snapped shut in mere instants, no matter how many of them he dealt with. He had been truthfully a little disappointed by the strength of his adversaries, they were certainly stronger than anything else on the planet right now, but... they were nothing compared to Lavos. He doubted that was going to change any time soon, either. But... while he was disappointed by the lack of any real challenge, it wasn't really something he had too much of a problem with, he desired peace and to allow the innocent people of his planet to live without worry above any other thing.

That was why he had to get to the bottom of the incursions into the world, he had slain any of the invaders who were clearly a threat to humanity while allowing those who didn't seek conflict to co-exist, but the madness had gone on for long enough, he wasn't able to keep up with the increasing frequency of the intrusions into his world, he had to stop whatever was causing them. Frowning, he looked upon the tower that loomed in the distance, the top of the tower looked like a colossal dragon with outstretched wings, and there was no way that this wasn't connected to them.

Taking to the air, he flew towards the tower, making his way towards the structure in a matter of seconds and landing at the entrance, only to spot two guards who looked... almost like Reptites...? No, they were a little bit better developed than Reptites, their arms and legs were longer, and their physique appeared to be more developed too, they were far closer to humans than the Reptites he had battled in the ancient past.
>>
One of the guards pointed what looked like some sort of energy projecting weapon at Glenn, surprised at the sudden appearance of the swordsman. "Stop right there, intruder! This place is sacred ground, not to be touched by a primitive such as yourself!" Glenn frowned immediately, whatever these people were, they were certainly as arrogant as the ancient Reptites had been.

"I do not come here seeking battle, I only wish to understand if this tower is connected to the anomalies that are dragging things that shouldn't exist into this time." Glenn tried to explain himself as calmly as he could to the guard, he truthfully had tried to avoid combat with every enemy he had encountered... aside from those who he caught in the act of terrorizing the innocent civilians of villages and towns who were incapable of defending themselves, anyway.

The response Glenn received was given in the form of a bolt of blue energy streaking towards him from the tip of the weapon that was being pointed at him, which he effortlessly caught in his hand and crushed. "As you wish." He put his hand on the handle of the Grandreamleon for just a moment before the two guards simply fell into about a dozen pieces each. "Why must everyone insist on doing things the hard way?" Glenn grumbled as he made his way inside the tower.

After about three hundred floors of climbing and battling later, Glenn had finally reached the peak of the tower, the 'Dragonians' as they had turned out to be called had attempted to foil his progress at every step, but none were a match for the edge of the Grandreamleon, and each attempted ambush was defeated just as easily as the last one... it was more annoying than anything else, and he wished that he had just crashed through the top of the building rather than fought his way through it. Most things were obvious in hindsight, he supposed.

"Ah, you've finally arrived." He was greeted by a reptilian sounding voice upon finally getting to the top of the tower, stepping out into what appeared to be some sort of science facility... the center of the room housed some sort of huge liquid filled tanker with... a humanoid shape floating inside of it, but the one speaking to him was standing close to a control panel. "The protector of this world, come to slay the invading army?" The Dragonian was already getting on his nerves.

"I've offered peace at every turn, I won't take fault for striking down your forces when they continue to pose a threat to the people of this world. Please, don't assume you have any sort of moral high ground simply because you were too weak to vanquish me. Now, tell me... are you the one responsible for this invasion?" Glenn was just about ready to finish things once and for all, he wouldn't hesitate to obliterate the entire structure if that's what it would take to stop the invasions.
>>
"In part... perhaps." The Dragonian nodded. "It is through the technology of my people that your world is currently under threat of invasion from... hmph, from those who history denied the existence of." The Dragonian's gaze got fierce. "Changed timelines... what do you think happens to those beings who lived in futures which can no longer happen?" Glenn said nothing, merely increasing the strength of his grip on the Grandreamleon. "They cease to exist! No afterlife for those unfortunate enough to live in futures that are prevented from happening! We are sent to a darkness... a darkness that exists beyond time that will eventually consume all within it! An entire future wiped from existence itself!" The Dragonian started to rant. "I have seen the sorry state of my counterpart in this world, but I, Azala MCMLXXXVII, shall grant you humans that same despair my people faced...!" What a hideously long sequence of numerals... wouldn't it have been wiser to change up their naming scheme?

Glenn wasn't concerned with the strength of his opponent, they had made their intentions clear, acting out of some misguided pursuit of revenge against people who had never done anything wrong. He placed his hand on the handle of the Grandreamleon in order to cut the reptilian woman down, but instead...

A hand pierced through the chest of the woman, as a tall pale man with styled pointy red hair appeared behind her as if out of a cloud of shadow. "What a beautiful speech of revenge and ambition, but... such an ambition was always ridiculous. The technology of your people... that was why I took your people from the Crack of Time... but you've served your purpose now. I have no intention of allowing you to consign all of reality to non-existence as a result of your imbecilic grudge! Now, begone!" The Dragonian wasn't even allowed a last word as a pulse of energy instantly transformed her body into blackened ash that fell to the floor.

"You..." Glenn's ability to sense energy was unrefined, but even so, he could feel just how much power the man had. "Who are you?!" Glenn knew that he'd need to use his absolute full power against the man to even stand a chance, but he had no idea just what he was after!

"Oh!" The man finally seemed to acknowledge Glenn's presence. "Now where are my manners? I owe you and your friends something of a debt after all!" The man gave a sarcastic bow with a smug smile plastered across his face. "I am the Demon God Demigra! For millions of years I have been trapped, locked away in the Crack of Time, but... now I am free!" Demon God...? Glenn grit his teeth, this guy was the real deal! He made Magus look like he was an infant in swaddling!

"Good for you, but what the hell do you want with my world?!" Glenn pointed the Grandreamleon at the Demon God, no matter how powerful his opponent might be, he wasn't about to just give up, everyone in the future was counting on him to protect the past!
>>
"Your world? Ha! I couldn't care less about this galactic backwater... it's just a means to an end." The man turned his back to Glenn and faced the large glass chamber, materializing a staff in his hand and twirling it about for a moment before smashing the glass with the point of the staff, causing a strange blue liquid to come pouring out, and the humanoid shape inside turned out to be some sort of... female clown? They were suspended in the tank by a good deal of tubes and wires, and despite all reasonable assumptions, she was undeniably human in appearance... "Perfect." The Demon God took a step closer to the girl...

"I don't know what you're after with that girl, but... I'm not about to let you get away with it, whatever it is!" Glenn roared at Demigra, charging at the demon and drawing upon the absolute maximum power held with the Grandreamleon as he did. His power was incredible now, he was almost ten times stronger than he had been when he last battled with Rettace! But even so, the first attack from Demigra was enough to end the fight, a small almost casual burst of invisible energy was all that was needed to send Glenn crashing through the side of the tower at high speed.

Glenn watched with unsteady eyes as the figure of the tower gained more and more distance as he flew through the air, trying to regain control after taking the mighty blow, but... just as he managed to knock himself out of the haze he had been smacked into, a tremendous ball of red and black energy erupted from within the tower, and in the blink of an eye, the entire tower had been obliterated... "...This... this is bad. I need to get a note to Rettace and the others about this 'Demon God'..." For all his training, the moment he had come across a truly formidable foe, he had been completely unable to do anything! But... at least the situation with the parallel world incursions had seemingly been resolved... at least for now.

Glenn descended to the ground, landing on a cliff as he overlooked the steaming crater in the ocean that was swiftly filling with seawater. The kingdom was safe again, but... there was now a threat out in the universe greater than anything he had ever faced before!

gods glenn is a badass. but even he wasnt strong enough? how much this new demigra will help our space lizard frieza? maybe make his brother come with him to namek? in any case, great interlude wukong i just hope in those years we had enough peace to train and finally establish our time patrol, i want to recruit this glenn already.
Also quick question, i know there is an ending in chrono trigger wich tell us the royal family is descended from frog glenn, does that mean that human glenn also does have kids with the princess?

BTW, was the last thread archived?

Demigra is coming after Schala so soon? How can we beat him? Fuck, we won't have to bow to him, will we?

Anon, why would he want her? He needs our toki toki bird, untill the bird matures enough for schala to asume skot role, she is nothing more than a powerfull mage.

She's not the supreme kai of time yet but she will be. He'd want kachi kachi and her both. Chronoa warned us.

Up next is an interlude for Ayla.

>>5192146
Yes, last thread was archived.
The ending where the royal family is descended from Frog Glenn is only caused when the princess falls in love with Glenn, it's an alternate ending that doesn't occur in the proper timeline. Marle's hair isn't going to suddenly turn green... you'd hope.

Lavos was basically just a giant Power Rangers monster anyway.

Well that's the thing with time travel, you can show up basically whenever you'd like to achieve your goals.
But also it's Demigra, and he only shows up when absolutely has to at the critical points of his plans, otherwise he'll just use lackeys or mind control to get what he wants.

The ending happens if you kill Lavos and abandon the middle ages after the King gets injured in battle, and it shows Frog marrying Queen Leene. It's never explicitly stated, but I assume the King dies from his wounds in that timeline and the Queen remarries. Glenn is too honourable to pull a Lancelot, even if he does have feelings for his Queen.

"Mama! Mama! Tell story about friends from tomorrow!" A gaggle of children accosted the chief of the Ioka clan, which, despite the winters growing colder and colder, had seen an untold amount of prosperity as a result of the wisdom of their enlightened leader. Where they had once lived in simple huts made out of sticks and grass they now lived in houses of simple stone and clay, the experiences that she had had in the future had stuck with Ayla and given her ideas on how to make the lives of her people easier.

"OK, Crona." Ayla smiled at her firstborn daughter, she was ten cycles old now, and already she was very strong, much stronger than even Ayla was when she was at that age. Of course, Ayla had more children than just her, but Crona was the only one who really enjoyed hearing about Ayla's adventures. "One day, the evil Reptite menace threaten Ioka... threaten all human, attack Ioka. Reptite back then very bad... but then, the heroes from tomorrow arrive, stop Reptite threat... but Reptite not real threat, real threat was Lavos!"

Crona made a scared noise at the mention of Lavos, the monster that every Iokan child looked for in the shadows, nobody really knew what Lavos looked like among the children of the Ioka, all they knew was that it was big, spiky, and that it ate planets, so their imagination really ran wild when it came to imagining just what sort of creature that Lavos really was. Even despite the assurances that they had received from Ayla that Lavos was very much dead, the imagination of children was something that wouldn't be stopped by something like the truth.

"Lavos fall from sky, crash into Reptite! Reptite disappear that day, go deep underground, never come back. Too cold for Reptite." Ayla nodded sagely, even the humans were having difficulty surviving in the cold winter despite their incredible strength, a good deal of the dinosaurs had already died off thanks to the colder weather as well, and it didn't look like any of the larger ones were going to make it through the endless cold snap that the world had found itself in. Ayla had checked the crater herself for traces of Lavos, and though the monster itself had been destroyed throughout time, the effect of it impacting the planet still remained. "World use to be warm. Never see snow like now." Ayla frowned slightly as she recalled the times before the winter. While the humans were more prosperous as a result of her leadership and the destruction of the Reptite empire, the winter had still made every day more difficult to get through than it would otherwise have been.
>>
"But... you beat Lavos! Why is world still not warm again?" Crona's grasp of language continued to astound Ayla, ever since her daughter had first spoken she had felt there was something... different about her. Ayla felt sometimes that her daughter spoke more like her friends from the future did than a member of the Ioka would.Ayla knew that her daughter would one day become the Chieftain of the Ioka herself, it would be her duty to continue the prosperity that had already been brought about, and she had complete faith in her daughter's ability to do such a thing.

"Lavos... Lavos was killed. But cold won't stop yet... in long future, cold stops... but we need learn live with cold and snow. One day we won't need." Ayla nodded, even if it took millions of years, she knew that humanity would persist... that they had to persist. "Lavos threaten to destroy entire planet, then other planet... but me and future friends stop Lavos, travel back from yesterday's yesterday to tomorrow's tomorrow many time, till finally confronted Lavos." Ayla's retelling of the story was a little bit confusing, but Crona could follow it easily. It was her favorite story after all, she loved hearing all about her mother's friends from the future, she had only good things to say about all of them... but she tended to speak of two of them called Crono and Rettace most favorably. Crono was the de-facto leader of their group, and Rettace was the man who killed Lavos. Often she would say how she had been training extra hard in order to defeat Rettace if they were ever to meet again, and Crona looked forward to the idea of meeting the future's heroes too... if they ever showed up again...

"So then... Rettace... he was one who killed Lavos, wasn't he?" Crona knew this part of the story well, when all was lost, Rettace called upon the power of the sacred bird and summoned a blade capable of destroying even Lavos, the story of how he was clearly struck down and laid dead before rising to his feet once more in order to crush Lavos once and for all was very well known.

"Rettace did. He cut Lavos, time bird put glow around him and then slash through final body of Lavos..." Ayla suddenly felt... something strange. Like something was... wrong. "Stay here, Crona." She prepared herself to fight off whatever starving dinosaur was attempting to attack the camp today, it wouldn't be a challenge to her at all, but it was still the duty of the Chieftain to defend the village, and she never planned to ignore that.
>>
However instead of the dinosaur she had been expecting, there was something... streaking through the skies, like some... strange sort of orb? Ayla watched with curiosity as the orb smashed into a nearby mountain. Ayla knew that this wasn't something she could just ignore, so she soon found herself leaping through the forest, from branch to branch. Her acrobatic abilities meant she was about just as fast as she was leaping through the forests as if she was simply flying above them. Besides, flying was a quick way to get cold fast.

Soon arriving at the strange fallen object, Ayla stopped to examine the strange orb that had fallen from the sky... it was a gray-white angled ball structure... Ayla didn't know what to make of the ball, or at least she didn't until it began hissing as the door to the inside of the ball opened up...

Based Ayla, raising a family and singlehandedly bringing her tribe out of the stone age at the same time. Nice story about future Saiyan Jesus and his sacred time bird. But a saiyan pod 65 million years ago? What the fuck is up with that?
>>
>>5192381
Either us or an old saiyan? Now that i think about it, it can only be us, bardock got sent to a few thousand years back in time. So probably future rettace got sent back to the past? Though, saiyans are old( i think a few million years old)

That would explain the heroes' party (everybody besides the saiyans) learning to control ki so fast and their grow pace

"Hello again. Fiona." Robo looked at the ornate grave of the woman he had helped restore a forest four hundred years ago, of course, her nature as a living being meant that she unfortunately... wouldn't live theoretically forever, as Robo was able to... or at least he theoretically was anyway, centuries of action would eventually lead to him being rendered incapable of functioning, at least so long as he didn't have anybody around to perform maintenance on him that he was incapable of performing on himself.

It was a sad truth of his life that the people around him were... temporary. His nature as an artificial life-form meant that things such as age weren't truly able to bring an end to him... the only reason he had been rendered incapable of functioning in the past was because of the lack of any replacement parts that existed in the medieval period of the planet's history... normally, had the technology of the era been at a greater level, he would've easily been able to have used spare parts to restore himself without having to rely on somebody like Lucca to repair him manually...

"We managed to stop Lavos from destroying the planet, the nature you loved will be protected forevermore." Robo looked up to the sky. "It is a pity that you never got to live to see the fruits of your efforts truly come to pass... but I do not doubt that you are looking down from the after-life with satisfaction." Robo had... difficulties with coming to accept the existence of a true afterlife. While it had been confirmed by Rettace that such a thing truly existed, it defied all scientific expectation for life to continue after death... but he had seen it. He had seen Rettace not only die, but also come back to life before his very eyes... or at least before his internal cameras... sometimes, with how the others treated him, he forgot that he was... fundamentally unlike them. He was a machine, and not a living being, and nothing was able to change that. The only fate that awaited him should he ever be destroyed would be a cold eternal oblivion... such was a trade-off for being able to live for a functionally indefinite amount of time.
>>
"The world is at peace now... and I am certain that it will remain that way, Crono and Marle will never allow for something that would threaten the stability of this planet, but... it turns out that there are people out there among the stars... who are far greater threats to both innocent people as well as to nature... the obliteration of entire planets occurs with nobody to stop the tyrants responsible... I cannot allow this to continue." Robo spoke with determination to the grave, he had grilled the spaceship pilot Tahiin for as much information as he knew about the threats that existed out in the cosmos. The most important was of course, Freeza, who was responsible for much of the strife that the universe appeared to be in... his father was similar, though more tactful in his business and less likely to destroy planets... his brother was another cause for concern, yet he hadn't truly shown signs of being a true tyrant... at least according to what Tahiin knew of the galaxy, anyway. Of course, that wasn't to say that those were the only threats that existed out in the cosmos, as it turned out the pilot knew of a few other groups that occasionally found themselves in conflict with Freeza's empire. A group known as the Crusher Corps... who were rumored to be led by a Saiyan... though they were shrouded in mystery, and Tahiin only knew rumors of the group... the same went for another mystery figure called 'Lord Slug' who was also rumored to have power that could match even Freeza... but again, just rumors. It was still important for Robo to document this knowledge... Lucca's intention in going to space was to link planets together, but Robo's intention was to bring an end to the tyranny of those who would inflict such misery and destruction on the universe for their own selfishness. He had not been designed for it, nor did it hold any real tangible worth for him in wanting to destroy such tyrants, but it was the right thing to do, and in his time around Lucca, Marle, Crono and everyone else, he had come to understand that doing the right thing was important. They had put their lives on the line to save the future that they would not have possibly lived to see, so now Robo felt indebted to them all, to help save the present from those he had found to be threats to it.

Robo took one last look at the grave. "I will protect not just this world, Fiona... but I will do my utmost to protect every world." With that parting comment, he turned and left the grave in silence. He would need to become stronger if he wished to defend the universe from evil... he had secretly been running background self-improvement programs ever since he found out about the existence of threats among the stars, and he was certain that by the time it came to leave the planet, he would be far better equipped to deal with them, though he'd need Lucca's help if he were to actually manufacture and install his planned upgrades.
>>
"I will not allow evil to flourish among the stars that represent so much hope."
>>
>>5192471
So Turles and Slug are out there. Maybe we'll run into them in our space adventures before Namek?

Nice final line. After spending 400 years planting a forest, Robo becomes protector of the galaxy.

Ahhhhhh.... Never Change, Robo. And don't worry, you'll go to the afterlife too! Robots ain't exempt, at least so long as they're full AI and have a proper mind, at least, I think? And even if you wouldn't, when/if we reach Earth, we'll 100% use a wish to make you properly Alive, even if you're still Biologically immortal as an Android or whatever, like 18!
>>
>>5192534
no he wouldnt go to the after life, robo is like 16 than 17 or 18, they both had human souls. though speaking of androids, i hope lucca can use their infinite engine to improve robo. it would be a great powerup for him. btw, at most robo can get a semi inmortality if lucca can download his chip in a computer and link them, so if his body is destroyed robo´s mind can be transported to the computer. though i dont know if that information would be our robo or just a copy? in any case i see a lot of nice drama in the future.

>He is stronger than majin buu
Lame. I was hoping he’d be around the level of a strong SS2 with defense and utility spells that stop him from getting rushed down by stronger enemies. But of course the new guy just HAD to be “stronger” than the old guy.
>>
>>5193989
Isn't that how Dragonball has always been? Buu himself as well as the guys leading up to buu, and every other villain before that were just stronger, so not sure what you expected.
>>
>>5193989
>>5196585
It's definitely not a surprise, but it's certainly deriative. By the time the androids showed up, there was really no way to tell how strong the villains are aside from the main characters freaking out and artificial transformations.
>durrr how strong is this new guy
>hurrr idk but his powerwank is huge
>>
>>5196585
I suppose it was too much to hope they'd break the pattern for once. They sort of did it in the Majin Buu -> Hirudegarn transition where the new guy wasn't noticeably stronger than the last one, but his attack patterns and abilities were significantly different so they presented a fresh challenge.
>>
>>5196641
If I remember correctly Buu's final form was actually his weakest but most destructive since all the influences on both his power and personality of the people he had absorbed were gone
>>
Ok, almost all of the Interludes are done now, I'm gonna post them all at once when I finish the last one, which is currently over 7500 words long.
>>
Alright, so... all of the Interludes put together comes to 31000 words.
or 168000 characters.
Considering that 4chan has a limit of 3000 characters per post?
I'm in for a fun time.

Which, as far as I recall, never actually factored into the fight at all. In fact, I think kid buu was the least interesting buu form of them all, basically a pink saibaman for all I care.

Honestly, Janemba does everything Kid Buu does better and with a more interesting powerset. He's not explicitly weaker than his previous forms either.
Kid Buu was just more of what the other Buus did but without any dialogue whatsoever.
Not to mention that the fight was totally pointless by the time that the Earth was wished back, Gohan or Gotenks could've been brought in to end the fight almost immediately.
It's hardly a satisfying conclusion to the story when Kibitoshin could've just fetched Gohan to deal with Buu at any moment.

I just wish this absurdly dumb shit wasn't relegated to a card game that's exclusive to an arcade machine 98% of us cant play that also has ps2 graphics for some reason
>>
>>5198250
World Mission is on steam and goes on sale fairly often. There's also a manga and an anime that have been translated and subbed respectively.
>>
>>5198252
I'm aware of all three of those, but world mission, like all Bandai-Namco games that have an arcade counterpart, have a lot of content in their arcade ports that wont come over to the home consoles for years. The manga is just kinda okay and what I remember from the anime it was more of an advertisement for said games than a real anime. I know it's goalpost moving, but what we do have with heros just feels lazy. But knowing Bandai with Dragonball that's par for the course.
>>
>>5198256
I mean, I wish we'd get more too. They tried bringing the arcade machines over, I know there are english versions of the first set, but with arcades dead in america they only showed up at a few events.
The anime is pretty good though, it's only like 10 min an episode, but there are 40 episodes at the moment and it's the best dragon ball shit around right now.
I love Heroes so much more then Super, it's not even funny.
>>
>>5198262
I don't think that's a very hard metric to beat when the majority of super's content has been relegated to a manga and a (soon to be two) movies for years now.

Heroes at least just goes with the flow, the Super Manga at this point just tries to use extremely flimsy justifications.

What a lazy arc.
>>

I appreciate heros because it's honest in how stupid it is, super needs to pretend that it isn't stupid so things can have stakes. No one cares about stakes in heroes we're all here just to see how wacky things can get.

Another nice thing is that Heroes isn't just the Goku and Vegeta show. Everyone gets a chance at Super Saiyan 4 or Super Saiyan God or whatever new cool power up is floating around.
Fuck, Heroes has solidified Xeno Trunks as one of the all time most Chad Characters.

sorry to bother you wukong, since you are writting the intermissions, but how many saiyans are still alive from canon? i think you mentioneed radditz ddint die? and nappa and vegeta scaped alive too? if so, will we ever know how they somehow managed to live?

"You sure you wanna spar like this, Khive? I'm not gonna hold back just because we're sisters, y'know." Parzlee got into a fighting position as she looked at her sparring partner, they had sparred together in the past quite a lot, but it was always when Parzlee had an overwhelming advantage and held back for the sake of her sister's training. Obviously it wouldn't have made sense if she just went all out on somebody who she was trying to train... of course, Parzlee always knew that Khive had a great deal of potential within her that she kept buried, it was just a matter of drawing it out.

"I wouldn't expect you to, sis. This is the first time that we'll properly get to fight each other without one of us having to hold back, isn't it? I'd never forgive you if you chose now of all times to hold back your full power." Khive smirked at her sister as she happily accepted the fact that despite being a friendly spar between sisters, there would be no holding back whatsoever, in this fight, everything was permitted... except actually trying to kill each other of course, but there was no chance of them getting that carried away anyway.

"You're right. This is the first time we've really been evenly matched, isn't it? It always did feel like it was totally uneven between the two of us... back when we were children, you were always the stronger one, but then... well you know..." Parzlee shook her head as she removed a bad memory from her head. "That's all in the past now though, all that we gotta do now is enjoy being able to finally spar against each other without needing to hold back!" Despite Parzlee's excited shout, she didn't rush into attack... Parzlee knew that simply charging into battle was an excellent way to get yourself in some pretty major trouble, especially against an opponent who was at your own level.

"Then what are you waiting for? Come on and attack me, we haven't got all year for you to decide how you want to go about your first attack!" Khive was growing impatient with Parzlee's hesitance to make the first move, and while she was normally reclusive, her confidence had grown quite a bit since her strength had increased... though really it was only around the people who she knew she'd be able to trust that she could be so relaxed, namely Parzlee, Schala or Rettace. "Here, lemme give you some incentive to do something!" Khive charged a ball of Ki in her left hand and lobbed it towards her sister.

Parzlee effortlessly batted aside the projectile, she really hoped that Khive's entire strategy wasn't just to annoy her until she made a mistake. "Is that a-" Parzlee didn't get to finish speaking before Khive appeared directly in front of her with a burst of speed and delivered a spinning kick that Parzlee only just managed to get her arms up in time to guard.
>>
"Nice try... but you're gonna have to be a little faster than that if you want to get one over on me!" Parzlee was only taken off guard for a moment, and she quickly counterattacked, grabbing Khive's leg and spinning her around before launching her towards a nearby cliff, hoping to disorientate her for long enough to continue her attack, but unfortunately, Khive recovered too quickly for her to follow the throw up with anything else, so all she really ended up managing to do was make Khive a little bit dizzy.

"Alright, let's take off the kid's gloves, shall we?" Khive floated in the air as she looked down at Parzlee. "It's pretty obvious that neither of us are gonna have much luck when it comes to fighting normally. We're too well matched in power and we both know exactly what to expect from each other when it comes to close combat." It was obvious to the two of the girls just from their limited exchange that this fight wasn't one that could be resolved by hand-to-hand fighting, that wouldn't even end up being a fight, it would just be an endurance match to see who ended up dropping from the fatigue first.

"If that's what you want, then let's get serious!" Parzlee powered up, her energy flaring up around her as she did, and she prepared for another charge, though this time she was planning on using her Ki attacks to get an advantage over Khive, even if their powers were roughly equal now, Parzlee knew that she had the advantage when it came to her repertoire of Ki attacks, and though Khive was clearly focusing on something, there was no indication that she was preparing an attack. "Get ready!" She was just about ready to activate her Crushing Rampage Fist, which would spell an end to the battle when she surged her power up to double its normal level.

"My thoughts exactly!" Khive was unperturbed by Parzlee's clear intention to use her power multiplying technique, and instead ran straight towards her opponent, apparently without a care to the power that her sister was giving off, her right hand started to glow brightly as she closed in, appearing in front of Parzlee before she had a chance to actually increase her strength with her technique. "Element Create: Rock!" She roared as she punched forwards with her right hand, with Parzlee trying to jump back away from the blow, only to find that the area behind her that had previously been open had been transformed into a giant cube of stone.
>>
"W-what?!" She was taken completely off guard by the surprise appearance of the massive cube, and was unable to defend herself from taking a direct hit from Khive. The punch broke her concentration and caused her to lose her grip on the energy she had gathered up to activate Crushing Rampage Fist as she was smashed against the wall of stone, leaving an impact crater in the boulder. "Ow..." Parzlee wasn't expecting to actually take a hit like that this early on in the spar, nor did she really expect that Khive would have the ability to prevent her from gathering the power she needed to activate her trump card. Parzlee had really been ignoring the power that magic could provide if it was used well enough, but now she had started to understand just how difficult fighting an opponent who had so many tricks was... she thought it was bad enough when she used to spar against Rettace and he used his tricky techniques on her all the time to secure a win, but at least with Ki, she felt as if she knew what she could expect, magic opened a whole new world of possibilities up.

"You were wide open. You can't just rely on your opponent giving you the time you need in order to transform into a more powerful state, you know! You didn't even try to distract me before going for your Crushing Rampage Fist!" Khive scolded her sister's decision to be hasty in the battle, of course, against anybody who didn't know what to expect, it wouldn't have mattered, but it was still good advice to follow.

"Alright, you got me there..." Parzlee admitted as she pulled herself loose of the impact crater. "But..." She started to gather her energy once again in the exact same manner that she had just been prevented from doing a second ago! "Let's see you do it again!"

"Come on... you're not really just gonna try the same thing after it failed the first time, right?" Khive sighed, this was unlike Parzlee... she wasn't the sort of person to just stubbornly stick to the same strategy, even if she was confident that she'd be able to make it work the second time... she was definitely planning something... but at the same time, Khive was forced to act, she couldn't give her the time she needed to actually activate her self-empowering technique, the ability to temporarily increase her strength even by only a factor of two was the difference between a pitched battle and completely overpowering your opponent when you were equal in strength to start with.

"Just try and stop me!" Parzlee taunted Khive into action as she continued to gather her Ki, it didn't really take that long for her to transform, but it was a little more difficult to manage it in a battle when she was under constant pressure, she'd never really run into the issue of being prevented from using the transformation before... Khive was an annoyingly tricky fighter, tactics she'd picked up from Rettace no doubt... persistent, observant and tricky... it was like she was facing off against an amalgamation of both her own battle tactics and Rettace's! But... just because Khive was turning out to be better at strategy than she'd given her credit for didn't mean that she was about to just give up...

"Element Create: F-"

"You fell for it!" Parzlee flung her arms outwards as she exploded the energy she had accumulated in her body outwards, and it emanated from her in a rapid pulse of power that smashed into Khive with a terrifying amount of force that sent her flying backwards as she attempted to guard against being engulfed by the explosion of power.

Khive bounced off the floor a few times as she tried to shield herself from the blast of energy, though the sudden reveal of Parzlee's true plan hadn't allowed her to get her defenses up in time to avoid being wounded by her attack at all, and the backs of both of her arms were burned badly. "Nnngggh..." She moaned in pain as she struggled to get back on her feet, but ended up collapsing flat on her face instead.

Parzlee walked over to her collapsed sister. "Alright... maybe I went a little too hard on that last attack... let's go get you healed up..." She felt bad, having hurt Khive as badly as she had... she had expected that her sister would've been able to guard herself in time... she hadn't put all of her strength into the explosion, and attacks that indiscriminately targeted the surrounding area as she had done were normally an order of magnitude weaker than traditional beams and waves... so how had she been hurt so badly? Khive mumbled something inaudibly, and Parzlee got closer in order to hear her better.

"No... you fell for it!" Suddenly, Khive sprung up from the floor with incredible speed and delivered a tremendous haymaker directly on Parzlee's chin, sending her flying through the air for a few seconds before she crashed on the floor in a heap, on the edge of consciousness. "Now I feel bad..." She winced as she looked at her arms... the burns were pretty bad and even the healing she managed to do on herself in the brief period of time she feigned defeat hadn't really taken the pain away, of course, even though she was in pain, she still decided to focus on healing her sister first... she just hoped that she wouldn't be too mad about being beaten like she was...

lol, love how khive is trying to use both her sister and rettace´s figthing methods to even the field. btw, now i need to ask something but if these two used the fusion dance or the potara thing, wouldnt the fusion be incredible powerfull? like, the more equal 2 people are, the stronger the fusion right?

Wukong, i like both twins and also like the fact khive trust in schala, her sister and rettace the most. But how were the sister's relashioship with the demon twins father? Were all of them close or was rettace the middle wich united the group? Also hope demon siblings get a turn in next intermision because the chrono gang we know from the games and the sisters we know from the earlist but they are an enigma in terms of how they see the rest of the group. I know rettace and the twins sister see them as nephews for their father but the rest?

I do have some stuff planned with the demon twins' father, so I wouldn't want to reveal it.
But in general, the entire squad was fairly close with each other.
As for the twins themselves, I've got a few interludes where they feature.

"OK you two!" You stood in front of both Schala and Zeal with your arms crossed. "Today I'm going to be teaching the both of you how to manipulate your Ki, now... I've been told by a few people that I'm pretty bad when it comes to teaching people, so... I'm going to be adapting Parzlee's method of teaching for today!" Your own techniques seemed to not really work all too well with other people, so you were going to try the techniques that Parzlee ended up using to teach everyone else how to wield their Ki properly.

"Don't be so hard on yourself, Rettace, I'm certain that you're a wonderful teacher." Schala smiled at you, and you hesitated for a moment before you started to speak once again.

"Uh, right... anyway..." You coughed into your hand before continuing. "While my own techniques likely won't allow the two of you to show much progress, I've been working on my skill as a teacher, and I've decided that the best solution is for me to uh... borrow the method that Parzlee used to teach the others... she's busy with her own training right now though." You nodded, after her loss to Khive a few days ago, she was training more than ever before, determined to avenge her defeat through any means necessary, she tried to pretend that she was fine with having lost to Khive in their battle, but you knew the girl well enough to know when she was lying, and you knew for a fact that having lost so conclusively against an enemy who was her peer in strength had been a wound to her pride.

"So, how exactly is this technique supposed to work, anyway?" Zeal snapped you out of your thoughts with a quick question, after what had happened with Lavos, it was obvious that she'd want to become stronger, had she been stronger in the first place, it was far less likely that Lavos would've been able to ensnare her mind and bend her to its whims. Of course, you didn't really know if simply growing more powerful than she currently was would allow her to prevent such a thing from happening to her again, but... well maybe she'd work on developing a counter to such abilities... you know that's all you'd be interested in if you were mind controlled for years and only found your liberation thanks to what effectively amounted to a miracle.
>>
"Ah, right... for some people the manipulation of Ki comes completely naturally, but... for other people, you need to sort of... focus on a very strong emotion as you attempt to draw the power inside of you out of your body... it doesn't matter what the emotion in question is, it only matters that it's strong enough to allow your Ki to flow... think of it like a trigger... an activation that will allow you to more easily control your Ki in the future." Or at least that's how it was supposed to work, based on what you had learned from Parzlee about teaching other people how to use Ki. Of course, as a teacher, with people who already knew what they were doing, you were pretty confident that you could teach them all sorts of new abilities and techniques, but unfortunately for you, both Schala and Zeal were total beginners when it came to generating the energy from their own bodies... it was genuinely incredible just how powerful that Zeal was despite having not figured out how to manipulate Ki... Lavos may have betrayed her at the very end, but whatever modifications were done to her body had clearly made her a force to be reckoned with. Combined with her tremendously versatile magic, her physical power meant she was truly formidable, and had you not grown so much more powerful recently thanks to both Kachi-Kachi and the Super Saiyan transformation, you'd certainly have at least some difficulty in defeating her.

"That's all we have to do? Focus on an emotion and on drawing the power within us out?" Zeal pondered the situation. "How humorous that despite all of its magical prowess and developments, none in the Kingdom of Zeal ever had the thought to do something so... simple. How ridiculous, had we known of such a way to produce energy, then I'm sure that we never would've bothered seeking out additional power sources..." The woman seemed angry at herself for having somehow managed to miss out on figuring out the usage of Ki... and she was probably right, an entire population of Ki users may well have been able to keep their entire kingdom powered simply through the conversion of Ki to magic... but there was no way for them to have even known about the existence of Ki.
>>
"It sounds simple, but... at the same time, the entire point of the kingdom's development and usage of magic was that keeping calm and cool-headed was far more desired, right? Getting too emotional might've led to mistakes in spoken incantation or a somatic component which would've had adverse effects on the spell..." Schala chuckled a little. "Sometimes, it seems that fate has a spiteful way to twist things, doesn't it? The very tool that the kingdom used to enable its existence was the very thing that ended up causing the people living within it to not uncover the best way to save it." Schala sounded less angry about the situation than Zeal did, but it was clear that both of the women were upset about how easily avoidable the kingdom's energy problems may have ended up being had they only known about the usage of Ki. Of course, the chances are that if the Kingdom of Zeal did have access to Ki and wasn't forced to rely on Lavos, then Lavos may very well have been destroyed before it awakened, and the kingdom might have even set their sights on the stars. They already had the technology thousands of years ago to build space-faring vessels after all... probably best not to think too much about the potential of such a thing.

"Right... well, thoughts on the past aside, why don't the two of you give it a try? Try focusing on something, and then using the emotions that you feel in addition to your mental focus to draw out the power hidden within you." You decided to get the two of them back on track, having them discuss their guilt over the fact that the Kingdom of Zeal fell together wouldn't exactly get you very far when it came to making the two of them stronger. This was a training session, not some sort of therapy session.

"Right... lemme give it a try..." Schala closed her eyes and her expression hardened as she seemed to focus on something. You found yourself with your arms crossed as you stared at the girl for a relatively extended period of time as you waited for something to happen... but finally, after about a minute, she opened her eyes again, and with a small shout of "Ha!" a swirling blue and violet aura of energy sparked up around her for a moment and you felt her power spike upwards massively for just a fraction of a moment! "I did it!" Schala smiled happily and almost sparkled with joy as she realized that she had met with success with the technique. You smiled back at the girl as she tried once more to manipulate her Ki, once again managing to make her aura spark up, before you turned your attention to Zeal... who had her eyes closed and was... trembling.
>>
You were just about to ask the woman if she was having difficulty envisioning anything, before a burst of energy emanated from her along with an aura of deep purple that caused her energy to shoot upwards! Your scouter went wild as it tried and failed to calculate the woman's new power level before her Ki settled back down. Zeal panted with exertion as she recovered from the burst of her power that she just released, and her strength had normalized, going back down to a still increased 200,000. "What a strange rush of power... I do not believe I will be attempting to harness the strength of my Ki any further than my current level. I believe it would be a better idea for me to work on the control of that power, rather than trying to increase it." She shook her head as she immediately seemed to decide against further training to increase her strength. "I almost lost control of the power I was capable of exerting there, and I made a promise to myself that I'd never put myself in a situation in which I don't have complete control over myself ever again."

"Mother...?" Schala looked over to Zeal, who actually appeared to be... scared? Somehow, the massive spike in her own power had managed to make the woman feel fear... but you weren't going to push the issue. She was clearly far stronger than where her current level remained stuck at, but you weren't going to push the matter, at her current level, she should still be stronger than almost anything else that she could possibly encounter in space, and that didn't even take into account her magic.

"It's fine, Schala... I'll spend my time trying to get better control of this... Ki." Zeal seemed slightly disappointed in herself, but the problem she was encountering was somewhat expected. Somebody with absolutely no experience with the manipulation of Ki would obviously find themselves distressed if they suddenly found themselves able to manipulate a massive quantity of the energy, even somebody like Zeal.

"Alright, if that's what you think is best, feel free to leave. I'm sure that you're smart enough to figure out things like flight and Ki manipulation without needing my advice anyway." You gave the woman permission to leave, before you looked at Schala... "T-that's not to say I think you're not smart enough to figure it out, obviously, but... well, I need to-"

Schala just laughed. "Come on, I'd like for you to teach me how to fly."
>>
>>5203067
Well, I love it, and DAMN! Zeal is fucking *Stronk!*
Probably from Lavos channeling it's power through her, her body's used to that amount of life force flowing through her.
>>
>>5203067
Cute. We should still carry Schala sometimes after teaching her how to fly.
>>
"Oh, so you're here Schala! How was the first day of training with Rettace?" Lucca asked the girl as she entered the room, not even bothering to look up to know who had arrived. Schala had found herself a little bewildered by just how Lucca had figured it out, but not so much that she'd ask and likely subject herself to some sort of hyper technical explanation that she'd have no real way of following along with... Schala didn't think that she was stupid by any sense of the word, but dealing with Lucca was something that could make just about anybody feel like they were dumb.

"It uh... well I'd say it went well, actually." She smiled for a moment before she looked at the workstation that Lucca had created that was covered in all sorts of alchemical tools, glass tubes, beakers and mixing flasks, while alchemy was a relatively rare magical topic to be covered in the Kingdom of Zeal, Schala's education had covered every form of the magic that was practiced by the people of Zeal, and alchemy was the sort of magic that didn't require any sort of special bloodline or magic to practice.

"Fantastic, I'm sure that you'll be married to him before long. Did you know that Marle is planning on proposing marriage to Crono?" Lucca asked casually as she looked through a collection of labeled bottles that she had stored in a bottle before she chose two of them.

"P-pardon?" Schala asked, bewildered by what she was hearing. Marriage? It was definitely too soon for either Crono or Marle to be thinking about such things, she supposed that they had spent a fair amount of time with each other throughout their adventure, but at the same time... already? It just felt too soon!

"Yeah, she told me the other day that she was thinking of organizing it somehow, though I'm not really certain how it would work, Guardia royal customs usually require the prospective groom to propose to the bride, and there's no precedent to a princess proposing marriage herself... though Crono does technically have a knighthood, so it's not like he counts as a commoner..." Lucca spoke aloud as she messed with two reagents, pouring them in a vial and observing their effects as they mixed. "If you ask me, she's acting a little too quickly, Crono definitely isn't going anywhere she doesn't." There was a hint of bitterness in Lucca's voice as she ended her sentence... and Schala figured it would definitely be a bad idea to ask about it. "Anyway... you're here because you got my message about creating the tablets, right? I've found myself with a little bit of spare time, so I've decided to at least have a crack at making them..."

"How are you going to try to make them without the proper prerequisite ingredients?" There was no way that the Zeal Blossoms that they needed had grown quick enough to be ready for a harvest.
>>
"That's what testing is for, isn't it? I know that you say I need a specific type of flower to create the tablets, but... I'm thinking that it might just be possible to create them without needing such a thing... of course, it's unlikely, but the tablets will still require a few precursor substances to be made first, right? So I'm going to need you to teach me everything you know about the magical version of chemistry that you call Alchemy."

"Everything...? Because... I know a whole lot about it..." Schala's education had been very much comprehensive in alchemy especially, she had shown an interest in it from a young age after all, it was one of those branches of magic that could be used to help other people a great deal. The medicines and tonics that could be created through the magic of alchemy could cure anything short of death itself! There were of course even alchemists that went mad in a quest to overcome that last obstacle too, a tonic that was able to overturn even death itself... but no such tonic had ever been created to Schala's knowledge.

"Everything, yes. Had I known what was going to happen to the floating islands, I would've snatched a few books that contained the knowledge... but with those gone, you're my best bet at figuring out just how much the people of Zeal really knew about alchemy... in many ways, I'm forced to admit that what is possible with magical alchemy is more potent than I would envision ought to be possible, looking at things from a scientific perspective." Lucca just shrugged. "But that's magic for you, continually defying my expectations... I'll figure out what makes it tick eventually." Lucca then looked directly at Schala. "So... are you willing to teach me what you know?"

"I... I guess so? I think I can trust you with learning what I know about alchemy... you might be able to improve it, even." Schala knew just how intelligent Lucca was, and there was very much a chance that she may even be able to manufacture even the mythical tonic that could supposedly reverse even death!

"Excellent, then let's get started, shall we?"

"Alright then, Oranno!" You addressed your dinosaur, who quickly swung his head in your direction upon hearing your voice. "It's about time I train you, I think. I'm not quite sure if I can teach a dinosaur like yourself to use Ki, but... well, I'm gonna try." By no means was training Oranno going to be easy, but as far as dinosaurs went, it was clear that he wasn't really as dumb as you'd expect... he already followed all of your commands without question, so any form of obedience training was pointless, the beast considered you as a leader who it couldn't defy. Oranno knew exactly how powerful that you were after all.

The dinosaur roared somewhat quietly in response to your words, and you started to think just how to go about teaching a dinosaur how to draw on the natural energy that was inherent to all living things... being so naturally powerful meant that Oranno would have an incredible amount of power if he learned how to use it... the difficulty was simply in teaching a creature that didn't have the same capacity for higher thought how to use it... obviously words alone weren't going to cut it, so you were going to have to use your telepathic abilities in order to try to impart the knowledge directly onto the dinosaur. While your telepathic abilities didn't seem to work on anybody who could reasonably be considered a person asides from being able to wordlessly communicate with them, you could impart large quantities of information directly into the minds of lesser minded creatures like Oranno as well as directly control their actions in a limited manner.

"First off... before I get into things properly, I need to make you understand just what this stuff is..." You generated a ball of energy which floated right above your hand. "Now, I know you probably don't understand anything about this stuff, or even what I'm saying really... but this is mostly for a... visual demonstration. Allow me to show you." You threw the ball of Ki directly up into the air, clenching your fist and forcing to explode when it was a safe distance away from you and Oranno, and the dinosaur was clearly a little panicked by the explosion. Oranno reacted poorly to the explosion, nearly going into a panic before you quickly moved towards him and placed your palm on his head. "Calm down." You ordered, and Oranno quickly responded to your order. "This is what I'm going to try to teach you to do, alright?" With a direct connection to the beast, you were better able to get your words through to the beast, it couldn't understand what you were really saying, but so long as it understood the meaning behind your words, it didn't truly matter.
>>
"Close your eyes." You ordered the dinosaur once again, and it responded quickly. You also closed your eyes as you started to sort some of your memories out... all you needed to do was directly give Oranno the ability to use Ki... so you'd need to go back quite a long time, to when you first learned how to use Ki... that would probably be the best way to teach something that cannot be taught in a normal manner how to use Ki, to try to share the memories of first utilizing Ki for yourself... or at least that was your reasoning anyway.

You thought back... back to when you were much younger, you had always been a prodigy when it came to using your Ki, and by the time most of your fellow Saiyans had figured out how to even tap into their Ki back then, you had already figured out even techniques like flight or using Ki to form attacks, you wondered for a moment why everyone else seemed to have had such difficulty in grasping things that you found supremely easy, but didn't dwell on it.

Eventually, you found the memories that you were after, when you first managed to tap into your reserves of Ki... you were barely even able to walk at the time, but even so, you managed to use your Ki back then, and with that memory of unlocking your own ability to use Ki in your grasp, you just needed to try to figure out the best way to implant the knowledge into Oranno's mind... eventually you just decided to try to copy the memory directly over to the mind of the dinosaur, it would be the simplest method, and you had no idea whether it would even work in the first place.

Oranno roared as you finished transplanting the memory into his mind, and you took your hand away from the scaled beast. You didn't know if it had actually worked, or if you managed to teach Oranno how to use Ki, but... you supposed that there was really only one way to figure it out... "Oranno! Blow up that tree over there! But don't get close to it!" You ordered the dinosaur to do something impossible... or at least impossible for somebody who doesn't know how to manipulate Ki, anyway.

The dinosaur tilted its head in the direction of the tree for a moment before it visibly seemed to have a wave of inspiration that could be easily read even from the face of an inhuman dinosaur. The beast opened its mouth wide as it looked at the tree, and to your satisfaction, a beam of red energy shot out towards the tree, smashing it to pieces in an instant and sending the burning pieces completely scattered around their surroundings, you had somehow managed to teach a dinosaur how to utilize Ki...
>>
Out of curiosity, you decided to analyze just how much more powerful Oranno was now that he had access to Ki, and you found yourself quite surprised at the reading. "70 thousand? Not bad at all." You praised the power of the dinosaur creature. While it would still need to get quite a bit stronger, now that you knew it was possible to actually impart the knowledge of how to use Ki onto creatures like dinosaurs, you felt like it wouldn't even be that difficult to try to get the dinosaur creature to grow even stronger! Though you might need to think of some better training techniques for it, your telepathic abilities wouldn't serve as the answer forever after all.

Great start to our training. Rettace has learned how to teach ki, it seems. We know what emotion the others focused on back when Parzlee taught them, I wonder if Rettace will find out Schala's.

i can see khive with rettace though, since they have been together from the start. also sycam is the son of one of their team mates. so there is that barrier

But since she is being samefagged and liked by all of the other participants i will stop fighting against it and just drop the quest when that happens.

Force her? From what I've read, nobody "forced" anything. The only relevant thing related to waifu shit was the time we decided to spend hanging out with her, which I find hard to describe as forcing the relationship given what her and Rettace went through together. Everything else was either petty things to complain about, like people posting pics and saying how they like Schala, or things we don't control like the QM's decisions on how the characters acted around Rettace and Schala. In conclusion, I find your reactions to be disproportionate to the situation and I reccomend you stop posting and calm down.

Contradictory.

As the door to the isolated house opened, a bell rung, indicating the arrival of the group. Schala had decided to rope both Zeal and Magus into going with her to meet Melchior, Rettace was apparently busy right now trying to teach the rest of the Saiyans how to make their hair turn gold, otherwise she would've invited him along as well. Of course, she'd made a promise to Melchior that she'd come and visit him, and she didn't break her promises easily.

It didn't take long for Melchior to realize who had just arrived, and the old Guru quickly stood from his table in order to greet Schala, before he hesitated a moment upon seeing Zeal, but he shook his head quickly. "Apologies, my queen, but... old habits are hard to shake. I'm well aware that you are no longer being possessed by Lavos as you were the last time we met, but... I sometimes find it difficult to believe that Lavos is truly no longer a threat."

"Yes, Melchior... it is somewhat difficult to believe. Lavos was a scourge that threatened this planet for far too long, had I understood the true threat of Lavos when I first encountered it, I would've done my utmost to destroy it at that time... though I likely wouldn't have been able to defeat it with the power I wielded back then..." Zeal sounded a little bit ashamed of her failure to stop Lavos even now, but Schala couldn't hold that against her mother. Nobody could have possibly known what a threat that Lavos represented to the world at the time.

"You likely wouldn't be able to destroy it even now, Zeal." Magus interrupted in the conversation, earning an annoyed glare from Zeal and a nudge from Schala. The former queen was still unaware as to the true identity of the man who was once the Demon King, though she had become very much aware of the animosity that he seemed to have for her. Schala wondered if her mother would ever figure out just who Magus really was... she must've had a least some suspicions towards his true identity, especially with how much he seemed to know about Queen Zeal and the kingdom... or just by observing how often he accompanied her daughter around.

"I don't recall asking for your opinion, Magus." Zeal quickly snapped back at the tall man. "In fact, I don't even know why you decided to invite yourself along for this trip. I planned to travel around the world with Schala for the day in order to see what 1000AD was truly like, and here you are ruining what would've otherwise been a pleasant day out! Thanks to Lavos, I managed to miss a great deal of the time I would've otherwise spent with my children, so I won't have you trying to spoil the occasion for me now." Zeal was all too quick to stand up to Magus, who found himself stunned by the woman's outburst. It was true that he'd been accompanying them all around the world as they went on their little trip, but he was still shocked at being called out.
>>
Melchior coughed in order to draw the attention away from the argument. "Now now, there's no need for you to be so hostile to one another, and Zeal... I would expect you to know better than to snap in such a way at your own son. He may have gotten up to some-" The entire mood of the room changed as it felt like the temperature dropped many degrees below freezing as Zeal slowly turned to look at Magus, who swiftly bolted from the room upon realizing that his cover had entirely been blown thanks to Melchior.

"..." Zeal remained silent for a moment as she looked at the swinging door in stunned disbelief. "Janus...? I knew that cat he was carrying around looked too similar to Alfador to not have some relation! But... what could have ended up making him... well, like that?" Schala winced a little as she watched her mother, hoping that she wouldn't ask Schala if she were already aware of Magus' true identity, but... fortunately, her mother had clearly decided against putting her daughter on the spot like that.

"He looks that way because he spent a good deal of his young life as the new demon king, leading a clan of magical creatures in a war against humanity, of course he had a pretty firm advantage over the creatures themselves, given that with the exception of the most powerful of the creatures, everything in that clan was a being that originated from the Kingdom of Zeal."

"Oh, so he could easily manipulate them through his royal heritage?" Zeal quickly surmised the true answer. "But even so... what possible reason could he have had to become the Demon King in the first place?" What was supposed to have been a nice simple visit to Melchior had ended up revealing Magus' worst kept secret... honestly, with how many people had figured it out or been told, it was only a matter of time until somebody ended up telling Zeal anyway.

"He was trying to grow more powerful. Powerful enough that he could summon and defeat Lavos all by himself." Schala answered Zeal's question instead of letting the tension grow thicker. She still frowned after she gave the answer, the truth was that at the time, Janus had no true way of defeating Lavos, even at the weakened stage that it had eventually been defeated at thanks to the hatching of the Chrono Trigger bringing about the birth of Kachi-Kachi, it wasn't likely that Magus would've met with any success. But... even if he had become strong enough to defeat the Lavos of his own era back then, it wouldn't have mattered anyway, as before the birth of Kachi-Kachi, every other version of Lavos in the timeline of the planet was effectively just an echo of the real power of the monster.

"Oh. I see." Zeal frowned too. "I imagine he must still resent me to a great degree, to have hidden his identity from me for so long." She leaned against a wall, and Schala grabbed her mother's hand.
>>
"For me, it has only been days since everything happened, but... for Janus, it has been around a decade... I'm sure that he will eventually come around to the new situation, but... it can't be hurried, deep down, behind his cold demeanor, he is still Janus. He just needs some more time, to know that you truly aren't harboring any lingering evil intent from Lavos." Schala tried to reassure her mother, who was reasonably feeling quite betrayed by the events that had occurred.

"He always was slow to trust, I suppose... back in the legends of the kingdom before my time they did say that those who can feel when the Black Wind howls are... cursed." Zeal sighed deeply as she paced back and forth. "Of course, the ability to know when somebody near you is going to shortly die is... well, it is a terrible curse indeed, and one that has a deep impact on somebody's outlook. Nevertheless, I will endeavor to earn my son's forgiveness, it is all I can do after I fell under Lavos' control." Zeal said with renewed determination.

"I've been trying to bring the two of you closer together, to show Magus just how you had changed, but he seemed incapable of holding back when it came to antagonizing you. I suppose that this is truly the best way to get things sorted..." She looked at the door. "Come on, we'll go find him together." She led her mother towards the door of the house before she turned with a realization. "Oh! Before I forget, thank you for the staff, Melchior!" She quickly left the house along with her mother... with any luck she'd be able to get Magus to calm down.

"Well... you could've at least stayed for some tea." The swordsmith just stared at the now closed door as he spoke to the now empty room with an expression of bewilderment. "I suppose the royal family always were a little eccentric."
>>
>>5205615
You kinda lost the right to tea when you get the royal family to flee.

But that has to be hillarious to watch from his place.
>>
>>5205615
Someone should have clued Melchior in before he blurted out Magus's big secret to his mom.

Though it's probably for the best. We'd have left the planet and Magus, that retard, would probably still be hiding otherwise.
