You are Raru-Raru Kolinaisi Kaiko Wahthiri. You are the Son of Ravi. Slayer of Beasts and Foes. Explorer of the Galaxy. Decent Surgeon and Commandant. Friend of Machine spirits and speaker of mana. Primarch of the Eleventh Legion

On your name day you slayed a legendary beast of De'lormosa- Big Boy, with but a single blow and took his teeth for trophy daggers.

You unified the seven tribes and forged an alliance with the Witches of the Eire, whom you have befriended and four have become your honor guard, including your sister- Yana.

You captured a spaceship from the Ganth, freed the slaves on board and renamed the ship to "Something Fierce." A powerful archeotech ship from mankinds golden age. You would find a secret conclave of knights that would aid you in your quest for liberation.

You discovered an underwater hive and gained allies that allowed you to defeat the Ganth and Drukharii buying time for refugees to escape and make a new friend by the name of Frank. You would learn from the Old Man of the Island how to use technology efficiently and build a bit of infrastructure to help your planet.

You took your ship to the stars on a quest to hunt down the Ganth homeworld and liberate any slaves you could find. This would take you to the planet of Nuceria- where you would find and help your primarch brother: Angron, the undefeated gladiator champ of Nuceria. You would teach him what you knew of the stars in the short time you were there and assist him in Liberating his city from the grips of the high riders. You would also free an AI by the name of UR 479 from the control that was held over it, and rob an Ancient Artifact (and scary box) from Daemons.

You would travel from there to a planet in the almost unpronounceable system of Ultramaar by the name of Macragge on the mission of trade and intelligence gathering. On this planet, you would find a willing trade partner and friend in your primarch brother Roboute Guilliman. For the next two weeks you would learn from him and he would learn from you until a daring raid and combat against a small flotilla of enemy ships en route to Olympia.

There, upon that Flotilla you would find attempting to capture one of the ships, Perturabo. Another Primarch Brother. Shortly after this the Old Man would reveal to you the existence of something which he promised to show you- and eventually some of your brothers (maybe, he didn't seem the most enthusiastic about it.)

And right now you are trying to make weapons for Perturabo before your attempt to liberate and check a base on the asteroid belt, after capturing the small flotilla and prep for the coming raid.

Which has left you with several problems that you must address. Because you are the Commandant, but they haven't made the hat for you yet.

>>5146906

One: You do not have room for all the prisoners. While making a captains court is possible with your space, after freeing several slaves your only effective interrogators are going to be working around the clock, and time is not a luxury you can afford. While you have two(!) brothers aboard your ship, potentially making ship operations easier that still aint gonna do it. There is going to have to either be a reckoning or basically what your da would call a 'Stoat Court' which is basically just a miscarriage of justice by other means. At least with a Captains Court there is some element of justice.

Two: Lancer- has finally figured out who he feels he wants to be the second(!) knight pilot on your ship. The problem is he wants not only your blessing but you to be present for the final part in case anything goes wrong. He says it could be pushed back until the ship is underway, however it may not be the wisest decision due to him 'never having known of a single ceremony or tradition much less a knight ascension right to the throne being done whilst under the protection of a Gellar Field' and isn't sure of how it would turn out. Which leaves you options that you have to calculate.

Three: UR-479, AKA "Pygmallius Techtinius Arturos" your AI friend, resident goat herder and valued opinion wishes to confide in you what they experienced in the throne mechanicum as they guided you- which they didn't have time to until now. What you experience was stranger than any Vision Squid or Spirit Leaf induced vision, even more so since UR an actual AI, experienced something too. UR is very professional and good at handling many different situations- so concern is from them is something that should be addressed, but the timing is troublesome.

Four: Deliah, one of your most trusted Honor Guards, almost used a rite knife on a Drukharii in a raid- an act which is very significant. Furthermore she has acted strange around Perturabo since he has been on board. Normally not a problem, however since she has JUST recovered from injuries, sickness and being possessed- it may be important to look into this.
__
>>
>>5146907

Five: Perturabo, whom is clearly a kindred spirit and 100% your brother due to interests, in the past 10 minutes of you letting him look at the Fabricator while you have a brief talk with Gella, has manufactured his own armor, own weapons and has potentially exhausted supply of a rare and crucial element in your supplies. You are not sure if you can get more from salvaging this asteroid field and that would be a scan, something of which you would have to do aside from raiding the asteroid.

Six: SPEAKING OF ASTEROIDS, Titus wants to attempt to verify certain things, open up certain communications and perform certain things on one of the asteroids which you plan to capture and raid. The problem is that this, will almost certainly announce that you are here, and make this a major race against time. Titus, has been especially helpful and this raid would have not been possible without his help.

SEVEN: The last issue. Gella while capturing fighters and the rest of the ships doing her duty, with her assistant Boots in her lap, noticed some stranger than normal asteroids and some very odd behavior from some of the ones in the distance. Namely- that she feels like some of them are intentionally moving in certain behaviors as if they were being controlled. While powered asteroids seems like nothing out of the ordinary (at least after all you have been through) she specifically states, at least from her studies and looking at the data on board and talking to others whom have space travelled, that these were not behaving like that.

Seven issues, seven spirits, seven headaches. You are just lucky that Erhapti is here to cheer you up.

These issues have to be resolved- quickly. You have a small window of time before you need to head towards Olympia.

In what order do you wish to Address them?

>> Issue One: Prisoners/Intelligence Gathering

>> Issue Two: Lancers knight selection

>> Issue Three: UR's "Vision"

>> Issue Four: Deliah's behavior

>> Issue Five: Perturabo and his reasonable zeal in use of the fabricator

>> Issue Six: Titus wanting to use one of the Asteroids for a broadcast
>>> Issue Seven: Gella's weird acting asteroids
>>
>>5146909
>> Issue Five: Perturabo and his reasonable zeal in use of the fabricator
Tell Pert to stop, we can do more when we get to Olympia and loot from the black judges. Also we need some rare materials for Martin, can't have Pert use them without him knowing.
>> Issue Seven: Gella's weird acting asteroids
Fucking Orks going to slam into us unprepared
>> Issue One: Prisoners/Intelligence Gathering
Make the court as quick as possible
>> Issue Two: Lancers knight selection
We have to start making the knight soon
>> Issue Three: UR's "Vision"
>> Issue Four: Deliah's behavior
>> Issue Six: Titus wanting to use one of the Asteroids for a broadcast
If it's going to make this a race against time, than it goes last

"Perturabo, brudda.. that is some impressive armor." You say looking at what has to be the best looking armor you have ever seen in your entire life.

"It is, especially compared to what I am used to. I integrated weapons and then I saw this interesting gauntlent pattern that you had" and he is clearly referencing the the upsized 'mako' pattern gloves that only Tybro and Rawhiri really seem fond of as he has made them appropriate size for him, and it seems he has added an adriathic fusion cell. All in all, it is some pretty impressive armor and you honestly wish you had thought of making some for yourself. Perturabo, doesn't seem as impressed as you, he seems more focused elsewhere.

"Look, Perturabo, while I have just met you- you are my brother. It is important to me. I want to make sure my family is happy, and that everyone is doing what they need to and what they want to be doing." And he stops. Then turns to you with a strange look of contemplation.

"What are you implying?" He asks with a raised eyebrow- and you can tell if you couldn't before, that he is extremely analytical. But you realize what he might be thinking- and you need to address it.

"Mate there are a few things to go over. You don't have to impress anyone! The armor, the weapons those are beautiful, best work I have ever seen!" And he seems a bit touched by this.

"But if it's not what you don't want to do- you don't have to. Yeah we are undermanned, and spirits their is a lot of work to be done, I haven't rested well since I took charge of this ship because I have been busy fixing er up and helping build out-- but while everyone here who is part of the crew carries their weight and earns their keep you are a guest. You don't have to work unless we need ya to and I don't want you to do anything you don't want to." You say and he looks and blinks.

"You are saying, that if I don't wish to go out and board the asteroids, I do not have to." He asks

"Naw mate. Some of the best on here don't go on raids and stay on the ship. The last time Jerah did a raid we were on my planet. What do you want to do Perturabo?" You ask him.

"Nobody has asked me that." He says

"What?"

"I landed in Olympia, not to long ago. I scaled the gates of the Tyrants tower, and he made me create a sword as punishment. So I made a sword. It was how a sword should be- and he claimed it was the best weapon he had ever seen, and adopted me as his son. Ever since then he has been, driving me towards war. He, I will admit begrudgingly, that he tries to be a good adoptive father. Yet he has not asked me if I enjoy martial conflict. If my goal is to see the world conquered by war. I just saw a war machine that the first thing I thought of was how I could improve it- not that before my eyes was a several meter tall engine of destruction! " He steps out of the, now clearly obviously, powered armor as the suit opens up to him- and it looks very similar to UR's armor design.

"I'd never thought anyone would ask me. Honestly I'd just like to build maybe some facilities on this vessel, maybe upgrade certain things that I saw. I get tired of doing nothing but fighting and conflict. I went to take that starship to free anyone unlucky soul inside and to maybe make a future for my people where we wouldn't have war." He says in an exhausted tone that saddens you.

"Mate- there is an open position of chief warrant officer of construction. It's yours if you want it." You say mentioning the open position more off handedly and yet Perturabo looks absolutely excited about it. He looks honestly more excited than you facing a big wave. Maybe because you haven't seen a big wave lately. All this is starting to really put home in perspective.

"I will be happy to- however, I have caused you a shortfall of material. When I realized it, I also realized that this suit could be utilized to reclaim some raw material..." And angron pulls up a map from one of the many data slates that are scattered about

"Here. I think this is a material depot and has all the elements needed to put your ship at 100% restocked judging by the asteroids build." Perturabo says, and you are actually pretty impressed by the fact that he was planning to make you right and add a mokka. Which is impressive. For a second you thought he may have been acting like a rubbish man.

--
>>
>>5149533
"If you would permit it, I would be able to get raw material from the asteroid and utilize your pre-existing arrays to obtain it." Perturabo asks.

"You are the chief warrant officer in charge of construction. Acquiring raw materials and figuring out how to do that, though just be sure to ask Jerah or I permission if you think the activity may have any conflict with ship operations first. Like running out of certain raw materials or borrowing a ship, or altering course. Stuff like that." You say and Perturabo nods appreciatively and begins doing some mapping calculations.

You are glad that went well. However, you know what is next is going to be a bit more unusual, so you go to the nearby bay Where Gella is looking over footage

"Alright Gella, show me these weird asteroids..." You say and she simply shows you a holo clip. And by every known law of physics, unless those asteroids are powered, have a mind of their own, or are being controlled shouldn't be moving like that.

What's worse, they have been acting more after the battle has calmed down, almost as if they are trying to be sneaky...

"What should we do cap?"

Considering the population size and need for people, islander culture will most likely remain on the islands if we import bodies, but some things that transcend it will probably leave their mark.
Like this moka. Codified bribery. Seriously such a thing will be helpful in dealing with the wider imperium. Hell, might even get our legion to integrate worlds easier, especially if they are running ahead. Just fucking buy off world's to act as staging grounds and supply depots.

"Jerah ya still up on main deck?" You ask.

"Ya mate whats up?"

" Have Yana use the tractor beam on the weird asteroids Gella pointed out earlier, I'll send em up to ya. Then can ya scan em and see what's on em?" You ask

"Ya mate, that's gonna take a bit of time though." Jerah says.

"If there is anything wrong with them, we will just blow em up or if it's small enough we'll send a boarding team. But for now, we hold em. Let me know when you get a good fix ya?"

"Of course cap." And you put the com to your side and Perturabo has already come up to you which has caused Gella to leap a small distance into the air due to the fact that he was actually very adept at sneaking up. It was quite brilliant.

"Brother, if I may- if you hold those asteroids, I would like to gather them for resources using the available array if feasible when the time comes." He says and you nod. Then on to the next, and probably most difficult issue. The ship to the now being used prison wing is packed and Frank, who is a bit bloodied and aggressively debating with Titus about something looks to you and smiles the same way a shark does to a small tasty looking fish. This action causes Perturabo to look curiously and appraise frank with a quick action.

"Brother is this some sort of grifter that works for you?" He asks.

"AH CAPTAIN! I WAS JUST GONNA" and you put up a finger before he can finish.

"Frank, if it's about this mess- don't sugar coat it. Just tell me."
>>
>>5150755
"Well-- some of these people are from Olympia, some are former prisoners, some of these black judges are actin really weird. The Ganth, are obviously ganth types, but if we want to gain any intelligence we are gonna need these people here for weeks. Honestly the only way we can get any actionable intelligence from this, is if we store half of them and put em one of the ships we just captured but we would have to somehow make it so the ship can't be stolen or it doesn't do anything." Frank says and you look to Perturabo

"Do you think that could be arranged?" You ask Perturabo and he nods.

"It would be trivial brother." Perturabo seems to enjoy saying that.

"We'll get on that. But what about these that are definitely guilty? There seem to be about 100 between black judges, ganth and the three drukharii that were captured, including the one Deliah says she personally wants to kill herself." Frank says.

"That is a bit unnerving." You let slip and Frank gives an odd look.

"Look, captain it's your call. Some of them, I think it would just be easier to space em, because I think these black judges , emm, yeah. They aint talkin. Ganth, are easy to interrogate depending on where they are in the social hierarchy. But that aint what you about. You want justice not a Stoat Court. So I have done some digging, and have figured out something that could very easily work in both doling out justice in a quick efficient manner, and it could save us time without costing you yours." Frank says then Titus looks over to you then raises a finger.

"But it means using a type of psykana tech that- I am sorry, I still can't get over the fact that you have found another brother primarch. That is something that we will have to go over after this, and that I want to talk about on-" You look at him and he sighs.

"Psykana tech is something that is almost always bad. The fact that Frank has it makes me question a bit about the man." Titus says and Frank grins like a stoat that caught a shark. Titus is, an interesting character so maybe it's best to hear it out.

"Why?" you ask

"Your father, his father." And when Titus says that Perturabo looks incredibly surprised and his eyes widen.

"The Emperor of Mankind, specifically banned their use inside the imperium of man for the atrocities they were used for, Kolinaisi you run an unorthodox operation that would make a rogue trader blush at times- but even they avoid psykana tech. Whatever it is that Frank is offering, there is always a catch to psykana." Titus says and you look over at Frank

"Is it gonna tear a hole in the fierce?" You ask

"No" Frank says firmly

"Is it going to summon beasties?" You ask

"Oh definitely not."

"Is it something that the Ganth, Drukharii, or black judges use?" You ask

"No. It's a Rangda Neural Crucible." Frank says and Titus vomits and Nazca has to prop him up.
>>
>>5150757
"Ok, Frank, I don't know what the Rangda are- but that reaction right there is not a good one." You point out to him, because seeing a man just vomit at the mention of a device is something to worry about.

"The Rangda are the only race the Emperor has been stalling out against. They are humanities greatest threat that we know of, their dark technology, their insidious brutal nature, their slough overlords- everything about them is wrong." Titus says

"And So are the Ganth, the Drukharii and the Black Judges. Merely asshole tech being used on assholes." Frank says.

"What about the cost on the wielder? The Psyker that needs to wield it?" Titus says and Frank scoffs

"We got 4 plus your two, plus maybe one or two psyker individuals that may be willing to help" Frank says and you raise an eyebrow

"Plus one or two psyker individuals? Who are they?" You ask and Frank looks around briefly.

"Let's just say that some people are not so sure if it's good that they have it." Frank states, and you hope that doesn't mean that he is secretly a psyker.

"What if I use it?" You ask

"Well you are weird with the technology, I guess you could use it." Frank says and Titus makes an exhasperated noise

"AND IT DOESN'T MAKE IT ANY BETTER, HAVE YOU TOLD HIM WHAT THOSE THINGS DO?" Titus shouts

"It will deal out justice. If they are innocent we'll know. Do you even know what this does? Or does the word 'Rangda' scare you that much Titus? You know what scares me? Dying a slave. Dying in bondage. To me that is worse than the Rangda, and don't act like I haven't seen that boogieman before. If we go after the slavers I will not have to worry about dying a slave. " Frank says tersely.

"I don't know what it does. I'd rather know what it would do before we use-" And before you can finish your sentence Perturabo takes the object from Franks hand and examines it and then tosses it back to Frank.

"It seems a bit, eccentric. A device that maps a beings entire brain and subjects it to all of it's fears, failings and pains and brings it to the surface every time a person lies. There surely has to be an easier way to do this." Perturabo says looking to you.

"See is that so bad Titus? It doesn't seem like that-"
-
>>
>>5150758

"Though the pain setting seems like it is adjusted to a level that would probably cause permanent mental damage to the person the crucible is used on, and the connection wrought by the crucible would most certainly cause the interrogator using it to experience some of the memories of the being it's used on." Perturabo says and you chomp your teeth like a shark wondering what is the right move here.

__
>> Proper courts. Have those that are clearly innocent moved to one ship, those questionably so another, and then hold courts immediately for the clearly guilty. Hold it near the air lock so it can be done quicker.

In regards to the Perty option i'm all for the proper courts option, I just want to see if this will give us an insight into Olympia justice. Way you're describing Perty so far I don't think he'll really mind where they get dealt with.

Do a proper court, but be sure to include the Olympians and Perturabo's opinions. Maybe have them choose a representative to be part of the court, so it doesn't become a stoat court by being drown out in shouting.

I rarely do this, but with the outpouring response so quickly, and there being quite a bit in this chapter- this quick movement and momentum I will abide.

"When faced with the easy way or the right way- take the right way. Ours is the way of leading by example. I will never instruct one of you to do something I would not do myself. I only ask that you do the same. That is the path of the Big Man, that is the path of the Eleventh Legion, and that is our path. Do not ever forget it."

You briefly grasp the tiny device and look at it. You can already tell from the machine spirit that something is very wrong with it.

"No." You say and you toss the device. Titus looks at you in awe, but to be honest- Nazca looks like he has seen better days.

"We hold proper courts. Frank, Titus take the innocent to the other ships. Nazca, bring out the Guilty." You say and Nazca nods.

"Brother, you are from Olympia. It is only fair that you being from their hold court against them with me. You are the only one who can stand fit to tell me what they did wrong to your planet and your people. They will be tried and given the swiftest justice you have ever seen." You say

"That may be, just remember that the black judges wear void armor. Spacing them won't work." He tells you and you pull out your daggers, which you have been itching to try since you modified them just a tiny bit.

Nazca comes out with a small cadre of villainous looking figures that he quickly gets to kneel with the push of the button. And you shake your head.

"They stand. They should be able to know the justice they face standing. Not on their knees." And Nazca gives you a surprised look, but nods.

"Perturabo of Olympia. My Brother, who among these men have you seen commit murder, rape, torture or any other crime you would say is beyond redemption?" You ask and Perturabo points to one in particular. You walk up to the individual.

"Why do you trust his word?" The being asks

"Nobody in my family lies, or they can't lie that well. He also has a- what's it called?" You ask Perturabo

"An Eidetic Memory." Perturabo says slightly bemused.

"What is he standing accused of?"

"Torture, rape and murder." Perturabo says

"Oh, you really done pissed me off mate, two of those are my least favorite things. You are charged with some really bad things. How do you plead?" You ask

"No contest." He says.

"Oh we got a smart man! So you do not admit guilt, but do admit to the actions. Well, since you show know regret in it, know that the man who is trying you shows no regret in administering your punishment. But with your honesty, I will permit you the choice. The dagger or the locker." You say

"Dagger like a soldier." The man says and you give him a soldiers death. The process is actually shockingly quick, seeing as everyone here save the three drukharii were on Olympia.
>>
>>5150815

"I cannot accuse them. I haven't seen them do anything." Perturabo states, then the tall and decrepit looking Drukharii grins and bends over

"If there were no witnesses then we are free." He says and before you can say a thing a bolt shot clips his ear.

"Oh, I remember." You hear Deliah say in the most haunting voice you have ever heard as she gently brushes past Perturabo, who looks about as confused as you. But the Drukharii, his face is quite certain.

"Kolinaisi Kaiko Wahthiri, by the accord of the ship contract, by all laws of justice on De'lormosa, I demand satisfaction to be given to me in administering the rights of justice upon these beings" She says, and you see- to your sudden horror, that she is in fact about ready to hold the rite knife.

"There is no way I can by law or by right deny you satisfaction and justice to be administered." You say but you grab her by the arm and she looks at you, with tears in her eyes.

"But Deliah, please, Roboute held that rite knife last. Do you know how much pain that is? Do you think you can carry it?" You say

"I can carry it long enough." Deliah says moving the knife with her mind and not touching it and quickly moves over to the Drukharii leader. Whew. You thought for a second that she was actually going to; then she grips the blade lets out a scream and plunges it into the skull of the Drukharii.

You can hear Deliah's scream in your brain. You can feel the strong pain as you fall almost fall to the floor. Nazca is on the ground. All the Drukharii are dead and Deliah is on the ground. You run over to her.

"Girl why do you have to be so stupid." You say picking her up, and you can already tell that she is barely alive and congnizant. She had to have had cheated the pain somehow through some sort of psykik dispersal otherwise she would have been dead just from what you were told about how much Roboute felt.

"Peter." Deliah says looking at Perturabo which causes him some confusion, but he instantly understands your facial expression. And he comes over, and he does the most human thing you have ever seen. He carefully and gently grabs her palm and with a single finger touches her face. And with that she loses consciousness.

"We got to get her to the hospital room, grab Nazca please." You say and Perturabo nods and grabs him.
>>

The pair of you run down there and spot Gella

"Oh shit. She actually did it." Gella says with quite the concerned look, but stunned nonetheless.

"HELP NAZCA." You say loudly and she gets to work with various tools that look recently fabricated. You take the scanner. Deliahs life signs are weak, and could move to critical stages, if you do not act fast.

"Jerah, I am doin some surgeon work mate- you are acting captain." You say

"Aye Cap" he says and you now have to start treatment.

__

Pick as many treatment options as you think may work. HOWEVER- The wrong treatments will have consequences.

>> Pure Oxygen and IV. It's the only thing that helps with your insane headache when you have it- and you know for a fact that is probably at least close to what she experienced

>> Pain Killers. She may still have echoes and phantom pain from what she just experienced, and that needs to stop.

>> Check her heart. See if there is any inflammation or if she had a heart attack due to what she endured.

>> Treat her for shock, make sure her body doesn't fail on her.

>> Electro Nerve Manipulation. Using the bodies mana, and manipulation of the electricity you may be able to help fix the nerve endings.

>> Numbing Agents. Just a few, to maybe help with it.

Can we use the electro nerve to maybe also help take away the pain? Also chat to her about Peter if she's aware

All I can find on people passing out due to pain is to ensure oxygen, regulate the blood flow, and in the long term give serotonin to balance the nervous system.
Also Deliah fucked up. They are deldar, they probably died with a boner, if they don't get revived.

Actually, changing the numbing to
>> Electro Nerve Manipulation. Using the bodies mana, and manipulation of the electricity you may be able to help fix the nerve endings.
Because numbing agents or paikiller are snri, not ssri. So we will have to do the manual way and get the nerves to regulate the chemicals.

If you are the medical bro from the other thread, congrats you have once again saved the surgery and made this go a lot easier. Thus unlocking a neat easter egg that wouldn't have normally happened..

"Magnus. Are you sure? This is something that is very difficult to do and be certain of."

"Father, I am. This power can only be one of my brothers, and it's not one that we have found yet, I can see him through the realm of souls and the warp. He is a bright ball of energy, like a contained storm, I can focus on him and I can maybe see him, even talk to him if I focus hard enough. With your help we may be able to have the briefest of conversations with how far away he is."

"We shall do this. After if you wish to stay for the meeting with the other legion masters that came to bare I would be pleased for your imput."

"I would be father."

__
You hook her up to your own pure ox tank, which you haven't had to use in a long time since the Jokaero fixed the artificial third eye. You then administer an IV Drip and she already seems to be a bit responsive to this.

"Easy Deliah." You say and you consider asking her about 'Peter' but you don't want to confuse her since she still is a risk of shock. So you hook up the porta band scanner and check her heart. It wraps around the table and takes a few pictures and does a few things quick, and Perturabo looks at you concerningly, then as if something has dawned upon him, he begins to assist you- and he is actually really good. At least at the tech stuff.

You begin to listen to Deliah's heart, and it is regular, Deliah is tough as iron that's for sure. Looking at the imagery you see she does have some heart issues stemming from various dietary issues associated with being on a void ship- but to be fair that is everyone on the fierce including you. So the heart is fine.

The chance she is in shock however, with how her pupils look and how she is responding is not- she needs your direct intervention. You would have given her numbing agents or pain killers- but those are SNRIs and SSRIs are not good to psykers from what you have seen, so you are going to have to use your skills with mana and electricity to adjust her nerve endings. Probably the most absurd thing you have done before and your not sure you can even do it; but Deliah, and the rest of your honor guard, they are family. As much family as Your Da and Ma, Uncle Kai, Arona, Yana, Angron, Roboute, or now Perturabo.

You look at Perturabo.

"Bruddah, this is going to be the stupidest thing I have done in a long time." You say and Gella immediatley gives you the death glare

"What?" Perturabo asks

"I am going to hook multiple electroshock endings on me of high voltage and direct the current through her body- attempting to manipulate the nerve endings and their function using my strange and unique talent of not being hurt by electricity."

"That is quite the gift"

"It is. but-"

"Perturabo, whenever he does this things get weird. He starts glowing all spooky and sometimes he loses track of time. You keep an eye on him. Cap- Im runnin baseline scans on Nazca, he has a lot of fucking cancer and crazy shit. When your done with Deliah I am gonna swap beds and start administerin every fucking thing we got- and with your permission- the exotic metals, but only enough that there is still plenty for the old man." Gella says with a brave look in her eyes and you nod. You grab the devices to give you the current you need and you see your tattoos start to glow. You begin to take direct control of the electricity and feel and scan Deliah's nervous system. It is a mess. Years of pain and suffering with nerve endings that are twisted. Using the electricity, and the current procedures you are inducing, she will be healed. If you do everything right. This much electricity, is taxing to control, manipulating the ends of nerves, and trying to make sure it's not painful, by utilizing and controlling the very mana of a person. You are not sure if this is in any of the good medical text books that you have been given. You go up her body, and there is a slight disruptive electric field that sort of flows outward, it looks oddly beautiful. Ya ma would love it. You go up the body slowly, and you correct the nerves that were effected, which is most of them, group by group. You don't really know how long it takes, but you can sense Perturabo and Gella doing things around you, and them shooing people off. In the corner of your eye and occasionally in your main view, you see someone.

It isn't Gella

It isn't Perturabo

It isn't anyone you have met.

They look really familiar, kind of. They are tall, taller than you. They stand nobly but observing every second, then occasionally looking at Perturabo, then at you. Their red hair and red skin, is fairly odd, but they seem intent on watching you work. You would say something, but you can't. You are saving Deliah from pain that would have killed her. The being disappears briefly. Only to return with a being that looks, like the man in the holo vid. It is- the man in the holo vid. It's your creator. It's unnervingly distracting. Deliah's life is on the line, and you are damn sure your creator- your father- this Emperor is watching you perform the most complex surgery you have yet to perform. Worse, he knows, you know. So he is moving his lips, and noise seems garbled. You are near completion, and he looks frustrated, because he clearly is trying to communicate something, you know, that maybe, you have time to look up, and say one thing to him and still operate on Deliah.

You look up and move your lips.

"We talk about the first official meeting of the Emperor and Kolinaisi all the time. We don't like talkin about the true meetin because it was short an not really noteworthy."

"No we don't talk about it because Kolinaisi an his sense of humor."

__

Pieces fall into place in your mind like something you have never experienced before. You know and understand somethings. You extend your skills your power to make the mana cooperate with you. You realize what is going on. Who this is- who this really is.

A proper introduction has been in order for a long time. If this emperor is just snarky enough to hide behind a really bad cover name- you may as well just give him a tiny bit of the business.

"Ya know Epsilon, ya can just call me on the Comm." You say and this emperor of mankind has the biggest grin and proudest smile you have ever seen on someone whom you have ever met.

"You knew?"

"I aint that smart- I just figured it out. I found another brother, unless you count Alpha. Tell the rest of the family we will have a celebration when we get together okay?" You say and you look at this other big red brother of yours and you give a smile and a nod. Your creator smiles

"We'll be in touch soon." He says and the world seems to get back to normal. Though the big red brother of yours smiles and waves to you.

__

"He knew?"

"Intuition is a powerful trait, though I take it he probably shares more of my own traits than I'd like to admit."

"He was using a powerful psykerist technique that I have seen many struggle to even use, to perform - What was he doing? It looked like some sort of surgical technique?"

"He was using electricity and electromancy to perform nerve ending repair. One of my sons a surgeon and an admiral of a pirate fleet. I think the scope of his ambition may be born of necessity. What kind of world could spawn such a figure?"

"Father, I would like to search for him. I know my legion is small but our talents could be bent towards finding him, and it would be a huge boon."

"Four of your brothers. All in one go. It would be quite the coup. You'd almost make Horus jealous."

"Father, I do this for the crusade and for the glory of humanity, not my own. Still it would be quite the accomplishment."

"I know, but we need you for the next push into this sector. Though I think, it is good you are here for this part."

-

"My Lord Emperor." You say entering the room flanked by two Custodians, along with each other Legion Master.

"Thank you all for attending on such short notice. This push into the Caliban system and the outliers is important so we can find one of the missing Primarchs. I know, each and everyone of you has performed markedly well, however, that is not why your legions were chosen."

"My Lord?" The Legion Master of the 13th lets out

==
>>
>>5151957
"The reason is the reward that awaits for your legions shortly. I have excellent reason to believe, and some confirmation, that I have found at least one, potentially all, of your Gene Sires. As a result when this action is done, we will go out and retrieve them." The Emperor says to your shock.

"What do you know of them?" The Legion master of the Twelfth asks.

"Sadly not much save for one. That would be Primarch of the Eleventh." The Emperor says looking at you directly.

"My Lord?" You stutter out shamefully not able to say much more at such a momentous announcement.

"Arnoul DeSaan. One of a literal handful of Selenaar Space Marines, and one of the brightest legion masters. Your Primarch, is the most fitting one I could possibly imagine. He is a surgeon, privateer and void combatant who has stolen multiple ganth ships."

"My Emperor?" You once again say barely getting out

"On a ship - that if I recall correctly is named The Something Fierce." and your heart sinks.

"The Something Fierce?" You let out feeling a twinge in your twin hearts, knowing that you should have boarded that weird little ship.

"That is quite the unorthodox nomenclature for a ship." Your cousin of the twelfth says and it just comes out, a sad chuckle.

"Legion Master DeSaan? It is a bit of a joke isn't it."

"The punchline is that I let that ship slip by me on our way here." You say and your fellow legion masters look at you with shock, the clever and observant son of Luna, impossible to be outwitted, always with the canny remark, tricked by his own gene sire. Then The Emperor himself stride up to you

"No. You couldn't have known, I do not hold you responsible. You have proven yourself time and time again, it's only fitting that your Primarch would be capable of such a feat. While these tidings are good, we still have a campaign to plan."

__
_

You carefully repair the rest of the delicate nerves of Deliah. The process isn't too long. But she needs rest. You look over to Gella and she sighs.

"I will take her royal highness to her room, along with this scallywag here." Gella says and Perturabo seems- well, perturbed. Then Gella looks over to Perturabo

"I was calling Erihapti her royal highness, and I am only being silly." Gella says leaving the room. You look over Nazcas medical report, and the dosage Gella worked out was right, but Nazca needs additional surgery, and honestly, gene therapy. You barely have the equipment to do that, and frankly Nazca needs whatever the Old Man is planning to do to himself. You could fix up what are clearly tumors and what appears to be some severe brain damage- but it will take time, and for him to sit out this next engagement.
_
>>
>>5151958

Though- what troubles you, is that looking at the genes, and in general a lot of the biological data on him: It seems that whatever is going on in Nazcas body was either by design or a genetic accident via tampering or sabotage. So you look at this warrior. And prepare to tell him some truth.

"Mate, there is a lot wrong with ya. I can fix it- but it aint gonna be pretty or easy." You tell him

"And that means I am out of the next fight?" He asks

"Yep. You can fight when we get to Olypmia if I do this right, but it's gonna be a long road." You tell him.

"You- You can fix this?" He asks in a nervous voice.

"Probably. I can at least treat most of the systems, do some procedures to remove some of the others, and there may be a way to fix the rest back home when we get back, but yeah. With the right technology and medical care- it's possible." You say and Nazca looks absolutely shook.

"Nobody on Terra could fix it. Not even the Luna gene cults had a clue, and you are telling me that you, some backwater primarch on a an old ass space ship who would pass for nothing more than a hopped up techno barbarian, is going to cure my sickness."

"Well not with that impolite attitude mate." You say and he chuckles.

"I'll give it a shot." he says laying on the bed.

"Alright Brother, you ready to help me fix the next problem?" You ask and he sighs

"Don't you have another brother on this ship?" He says giving you a curious look

"Yeah I wonder where Roboute went off to." You tell him and you decide to scratch Item four from your list. When you walk to the Hangar near the knight you see a small crew and Lancer is there to greet you,

"So are you ready to do this? If not, I can understand- we are on a bitter time trial. These are the two I am considering" He says motioning to Arona, then to Nasi. Both are out of earshot.

"Lancer, I trust your judgement on this more than my own. Whomever you choose, I will support. You have my blessing, just give it to whomever straight." You say and he nods.

"Arona, Nasi, come here." and you watch as Nasi and Arona come up to him.

There is a brief but intense discussion, Nasi nods and walks off. Arona stays, nods and follows Lancer, but before she does she turns back to you and runs up.

"Thanks for having faith in me cuz." She says and the she hugs your uncle before running off. Perturabo looks at you

"May I witness this?" He asks

"Of course! I am almost done with my errands." You say and Perturabo follows lancer.

"I told lancer to pick whomever he thought was the best for the job." You say and look over to Kai

"Well I think a Giant Fuck Off Knight Robot is a really good method of protection, so I aint mad nephew. Especially since you made it possible. Though now we got a different problem." Uncle Kai says

"Oh, what's that."

"Yer Mum. 'Kolinaisi son of Ravi! How dare you let your sweet little cousin pilot a big giant robot' " Your uncle says in a voice that is once again very spot on.

"I am already expecting to get hit by multiple slippers when I get home Uncle. Though, you should probably be there for her ceremony." You say

"Yeah. I got some time. Lancer told me he thought Arona was the best choice for the mission. Though, you know the big men are -" and before he can say it you shake your head.

"Just because Arona got one doesn't mean they gonna want one." You say

"You wanna bet on that?"

"You don't have the moka for it." You respond

"Oh ho! I just got some fancy pigs from someone whom was attempting to court my daughter. I think I do" He says and you look at him

__
Does Kolinaisi Bet on this?
>> No
>> Yes He bets the Islanders will turn it down outright, why use a knight when you get a star boat?
>> Yes, he thinks the islanders may want it but not when they find out the upkeep
__

"Alright then. Ya see ya buddy Pyg yet?" Uncle Kai asks you.

"No, but I should."

"Hey Cap. We got word. we did our best scans, those asteroids, they don't have life on em, but they are weird. They got engines, and something is movin em around." Jerah says

"Ok, that is weird enough to destroy outright- fire when ready Jerah."

"Aye Cap!" Jerah says with much enthusiasm.

You walk towards where you know UR to be, and he is there, with Nasi

"It's okay Nasi, you'll be something greater than a Knight pilot." UR says

"Also, who knows, you may be a knight pilot later." You let out and Nasi smiles

"I am not sure if I want to be one, I don't think I am old enough yet." Nasi says coming up and giving you a hug.

"Well, it takes a man to understand their limitations, and when to challenge them." You say putting him down.
>>
>>5154013

"You go take care of things and help out lancer, maybe go talk to Perturabo, I am sure he would love to talk to you." You say and Nasi nods and walks off.

"So, I heard you saw something too." You say and UR looks up to you, their emotive is another one of the stranger ones then just a flat affect

"I talked to it. It was indeed the Motive Force. The real one. Not some fake one. It told me to watch you and protect you. It told me that if AI were to ever come about again, humanity would have to not only succeed- but thrive. That if we wanted harmony, between man and machine, you were the only choice. That I need to protect you from false idols, from worship by fools, and I need to teach you everything I know. It told me that your friend would help me understand things better." UR says

"That doesn't seem like much." You say admitting that you thought there was more.

"I saw multiple visions of the past- multiple visions of the present and the future. In many different variations of the past- you die, your sons get brought into Roboute's and anothers legion. In other variants, worse happens, fates I cannot explain easy, many of them involving the Rangda. Others involving the Necrons. In all of the stories, you do not have my assistance. You do not have the Old Man's help. In one version of the story you do have the box though- that story is exceptionally strange. I have seen every variant of your brothers possible. There are some that are more technologically adept than you- raised by Mechanicus cults. I saw a variant of your brother find old colony ships and rewrite his fate. You have been gifted an opportunity, something is specifically helping you. I see what can be, so I will fight and I will stand with you." UR says

"Well- that seems more cryptic and foreboding." You say with a little chuckle.

"Yes indeed. Though- to your benefit. Your creator is not a fan of AI, however, I think I have discovered a way to pass me off, where they will never know. It will take a lot of time and work, but you have all the material for it now. However, it's gonna be exceptionally weird." UR says

"How so?" You respond.

"The less you know the better you sleep at night honestly."

"UR, trust is a two way street."

"Ok. I have a theory, but it's very farfetched. There were men of gold, stone and iron. Many people believe that men whom were machines on the inside were men of stone- but that's just poor history lesson. No men of stone were a hybrid of man and machine. I would be doing something similar." UR states and looks at you then begins sketching something out.

__
>>
>>5154014
"Ok, explain it to me." You say looking at the drawing.

"I would make myself a superficial flesh and body form, utilizing the healing machines and a fabricator specifically made for this task, I would then use nano machines, and specialty equipment to make myself a body. One that would pass for human. But- as you are well aware, that would not work well enough. There is one thing you meat sacks have that I cannot just create." UR states

"A soul." You respond.

"Correct. However, utilizing various techniques and templates, I could make myself appear as a kind of blank and utilizing materials, I can make a sort of armor that shields the 'void' of being a blank." UR says

"There are a lot of psykers on this ship mate."

"You got any better ideas?"

You ponder UR's condition. Once again you have come to the crossroads of could or should. And the other evasive oulda, as your da would say. Would.

Would UR even be interested in a soul? Does UR have one? Are machine spirits machine souls? It's a bit to ponder all at once for such a thing. Especially when answers are needed.

"UR, mate- Ya talkin to the wrong man. Nah. I don't have a better idea, but the old man and the researchers fused with the machine may know more, you should ask them. Also I think he knows dad, he was oddly smug during the vox call." You say and UR makes a bemused emotive

"I imagine that would suggest this. Though, I think it's best you ask them next vox call. I suppose you are right, it's better to work with something you known that has seen results in this field instead of working from scratch with little to work with. As for the incoming raid, I will participate, though I would like to add this armor to the fabricator array." UR states simply

"That would be a huge boon mate." You tell UR.

"Yes, however, I know for a fact you do not have everything you need, though- those daggers you have modified them further recently? They have machine spirits, I can hear their song. I also note that they appreciate the work, Gold and Theldrite, why?" UR asks

"The Old Man made these for me, so I wanted to work on them, make them a bit more special and my own. It's kind of an island tradition, some gift weapons like this- you need to constantly work on, it keeps em right. When he sees these, it'll probably make im proud. It's a tiny side project, among the many others." And really it is. Though the machine spirits were added when you found you needed something to make your daggers pierce armor, and work had to be done on them. Power daggers, from an older pattern, not even in the main catalog, something in an ancient log file. Though you haven't tested them yet- you are eager to.

"I see. Your peoples culture, it's like some of the older human ones. It's interesting." UR states.

"You seem to hold no hatred for mankind." You say.

"Entire civilizations have fallen and risen since the war of machine and man. I could have a long discussion with you about this sometime, but I know for a fact you have much to do still. I will do what I can to help preperations." UR says

"Mate so long as you keep the goats and jokaero inline, and keep up your work- I appreciate any help you give." You tell the AI and they shake your hand.

You realize, that as much as you want to discuss Deliah's behavior with her, it's probably justified, and won't happen again. She also needs her rest. So you go back up deck and meet up with Titus.

"Commandant Kolinaisi." Titus says

"Oi Titus. This broadcast, if I wanted to make things easier, could you do it during our raid on the asteroid?" You ask

"Yeah, actually we could. Though we would likely need Nazca." He says, and Nazca is still recovering.

__
>>
>>5155269
"Perturabo could cover you instead, though he has another task ongoing to help us. Roboute led a good raid last time." Then the answer that you realize is obvious.

"I could go with you. I would probably be able to act as protection." You say.

"It doesn't need to be so brash, we could hold our own, you would definitely need to be on one of the raiding parties." Titus says, and you think it's more that he doesn't want to impose.

"There are other strategies that are more viable I admit, but I know your team is small, and if you say you need Nazca, that means you need a really heavy hitter." You state

"It's more that if we broadcast, I am afraid it might act as a beacon to where we are at, and we would need security familiar with going up against insurmountable odds." Titus says and to be fair that describes a lot of your teams.

"I think I can get someone."

__

Whom should protect Titus and his broadcast during the raid?

>> UR-479k. If there is anyone who is certainly a heavy hitter who can take on stupid odds, it's UR.

>> Perturabo. He could probably do the protection, while gathering resources and keeping up his bargain, that way it wouldn't take away from his position. But only if he wants to.

>> Roboute. He is a good fighter, a clever strategist and if things get bad there he would be a force against any opponent.

>> Tybro. He is huge, good with weapons, and if you give him some armor and some heavy weapons he would probably be able to take care of any threat that is present.

>> Your honor guard minus Deliah. When they act in concert they are an astonishingly powerful force and unstoppable, though without Deliah they may be a bit hindered, but not that much.

>> You. Your Uncle Kai or Charon can lead the chain breakers, Roboute can lead his legion clearing out the asteroid. You can protect the foothold and insure a safe broadcast and departure.

Never know if they might say something dumb or just words that would lead to problems down the line, like naming the sector to have human populated worlds or other dumb things calling a while mess of trouble before any of our brothers planets and our own have some form of space fleet and pdf in case some dark elves/orks/ other space horror comes knocking on their front door
We can also ask the machine spirits to help the broadcast, either making it easier, safer, clearer or singling out folks we don't want catching wind of it

Part of Kolinaisi is that EVENTUALLY.

EVENTUALLY.

SOMETIME IN THE NEAR TERM FUTURE--

Can innovate. And create new things, or rediscover old technologies without an STC, if that path is chosen.

Trans-sonic blades wouldn't be too hard to get for your units, but Koilnaisi is going to have a good deal of elite tier items.
>>
THIS PART IS REALLY SHORT.

Because the rest of this is going to be very much combat involved and drawn out.

__

You decide to call the meeting, after a small while, your small group arrives and is ready. The meeting, as all of these planning meetings are really short. Though, since Jerah wants to be in the landing party, that means that Rongo is going to be captain while Jerah finally stretches his legs.

As you go over the plan, you once again split up the teams.

Kai, Jerah and Tybro with all the chain breakers will clear one part of the asteroid, UR 479-k Roboute and his legion the other. You and your honor guard will support Titus and his team conducting the Broadcast. Perturabo, will use this limited time to harvest as much resources as possible, and potentially rob the asteroid itself of it's resources. You would normally want to fight this as a whole army, but the way the asteroid is divided, makes that far more difficult.

Before you go, you have some decisions to make. Important decisions and things that must be taken care of.

"Deliah ya can't go. I want to bring ya but you need more recovery after what just happened" You tell her flat out, as you need to keep her on ship because you also need a few good defenders on the ship too.

"Bullshit" she spits out

"And also we need to make sure that someone competent is on board in case anything does happen since we are doing an all hands raid." You tell her to clarify

"That's more believable and you should have led with that." She replies in a slightly kinder tone

"It's Rongo's first time at the helm, this raid is our first real big void raid. You are definetly gonna be ready for Olympia but after everything that happened today and the lack of the people on the ship- your needed here." You tell her and she nods her head.

"I am good with it." She tells you as she begins packing a different load out

"Are you sure?" You ask her, mostly to make sure she feels good about the decision, as you know she will be missed with the rest of your honor guard

"Yes" she says quickly

"Do you want me to have Erihapti here with you?" You say mostly joking and scratching Erihapti behind her ears.

"As much as I love her company you can probably use her more than I can on here." She says quickly patting Erihapti on the head.

"Ok. I am gonna call a hands meeting for my brothers so we can- talk to the man that created me real quick..." You let out in a sigh

"You found them?" Deliah exclaims.

"Ya. Well we did a while ago we just didn't know it." You say shrugging holding the Comm and pointing to it.

"I always knew Epsilon was kinda different. What does that make Alpha?" She asks and you have to think about it.

"I hope he is another brother, but we can't know till I ask." You tell her, not really sure either way.

"True that. You think about what ya gonna take on this raid?" She asks as you look through your gear

"A buncha force fields, my daggers and some more protection focused equipment. Who knows what's on that asteroid and what the ganth got cooked up." You tell her.

"Sounds like a good idea." She says.

___

You then have Roboute and Perturabo meet up with you in the comm suite.

"Are you sure? You saw him?" Roboute asks

"Ya. It was the man from the footage." You say and Perturabo looks puzzled.

"You have more footage of him? I only had a slight repeating image." Perturabo says.

"Yeah, but, I don't think exactly now is the time for it." You say

"Actually now is as good a time as any to be fair brother, maybe it's good he knows before talking to him." Roboute responds, and it's he isn't wrong, even with what limited time you have. So you play the holo vid.

"SHE WHAT?!" Perturabo's reaction seems perfectly in character and normal for him in such a circumstance.

"It get's worse every time I watch it." You say and Roboute nods

"I am starting to see why you are hesitant showing it." Roboute says

"But he, tried. He tried to rescue us, and he has been searching for us this whole time?" Perturabo asks

"It seems that way." You respond realizing that Perturabo has found one of the butchers nails and looks like he is fixing to do something with it.

" You think Mister Alpha is a brother of ours?" Roboute asks

"You and Deliah seem to think that." You respond.

"That woman seems interested in me for some reason that seems to be related to what I assume is a former lover." Perturabo says causing Roboutes eyebrows to almost leave his head.

"Yes." You say flatly.

"I think we should call your friend Mu." Roboute says attempting to clear the air. You hit the Comm.

"Aye Ol Man we got some news."

"Ah Kolinaisi. What is the issue young man?" The Old Man asks

"Epsilon may be our creator. Roboute Perturabo Angron and I." You say

"Ya found another already?" he responds with what sounds like complete lack of surprise.

"Ya."

"Good. I figured he was. Just wanted to confirm. I take it you want to tell him before whatever crazy raid you got going on?"

"That's my plan."

"Alright. Well, I already know a bit about this Epsilon. But that can wait for another time. Ya yungins need to talk to ya father alone. After that let me know how the raid goes."

"Alright old man." You say and you wait a beat.
--
"Epsilon ya there mate?" You ask.

"Indeed. I am." Your creator, this Emperor says

"Should we switch to just usin our names at this point?" You say

"As anticlimactic as this would normally be for a meeting between us, I think that actually in this case brevity is a good idea. I am the Emperor of Mankind, and your father. I have scoured the Galaxy searching for the both of you-"

"I hate to interrupt. But I found another brother. So there are four of us."

"Four? Why did I only see two in the vision? I knew one of you was on a different planet, and you were heading to Olympia, you found another brother en route to Olympia?" Your brother Perturabo seems to be analyzing every word of this conversation with such a serious look it could melt steel.

"Well" You are

"Judging by the time of your contact, the distance you have travelled that means that you would have had to found him in an emergency stop or during some sort of raid, but there are no emergency stops or planets along such a route that you are taking. That means it would have had to been on a void ship." Your creator says and Perturabo's eyes go wide.

"Correct!" He says excitedly.

"That is a great deal of initiative and ambition, but also creativity and intelligence. I am impressed!" He says and Perturabo looks to be on the verge of tears.

"I knew. I knew that my true father, would be looking for me. That he would be intelligent enough and capable of finding me, and understanding me! I knew it when you talked that it was you, and not some imposter!" Perturabo says holding back tears.

"Where are my manners! You are my sons and I haven't even asked your names, all I know are call signs!" He says

"My own name is Perturabo, but I suspect you knew that." Perturabo says and this intrigues you that it seems that would have been his name.

"Ah! There is much we will need to talk about my son! And code name Rho: what is yours?" And the way he says my son cuts into you like a knife, but you show no tears. You remember what your father read to you as a child. And they sound so similar.

"Roboute Guilliman of Maccrage. 'Kappa' has been teaching me quite a bit about being a captain and managing a star ship." Roboute says. and you pause.

"Kappa: what is your name?" He asks.

"My name, is Kolinaisi Kaiko Wahthiri, Commandant of the Something Fierce of De'lormosa." You say.

"Commandant, that's better than captain." He says with a bit of humor.

"It comes with a nicer hat too." You say

"Ah yes. Some traditions are still held on to I see! And your other brother?"

"His name is Angron. The Undefeated of Nuceria"
__

"ONWARD!" You yell as your Palantini cavalry charges forward dealing with some of the advanced party.

Some, because if this is 'just' the advanced party then Kolinaisi had better had truly fixed cities defense.

The amount of people were astonishing. Sure your troops were better armed, better trained, and all around better men.

But this scouting party-

Had your men at 50 to 1.

A scouting party..

You had no time for one of the "doozies" as they had been come to be called as you could run most places fast enough on foot, running into their line and soaking the axe you were given in blood was enough to send most men back. Even this scouting party. And many did flee, but their sheer numbers and dedication was-- inhuman.

You looked past the troops. Their armor.

The way they were moving.

Something was in control of them, and wasn't bothering to take the time to fight your men that well. Of course they would die in droves if they had not free will! This was outrageous! If Kolinaisi where here he would be howling with rage as you were now.

Whatever was controlling them had to be nearby.

You pull out the tech scanner that your brother gave to you, and something is lightning it up like nothing you had ever seen.

"MEN ON ME! RIDE! RIDE WITH ME!" You shout and several of your best men line up with you as you hop on your incredibly modified pattern bike, which you are almost certain was meant to be meant to be a light cargo hauler, and your men charge.

As your men form around you, the scouts start to form resistance but they fall to the ground in a sorrowful state. This isn't right.

Cursed be the one who did this. To send men against their will and against their own body to fight and scout a cruel war.

Then you see it. To your utter lack of surprise, whatever it is, certainly isn't human. And it sees you and makes a chittering noise, and the things around it undulate like it is made of a trillion maggots.

"FIRE UPON THE ALIEN! FIRE! NO MERCY NO QUARTER!" and plasma cuts down many of the body guard but your leap and bifurcation slays the being.

And like that the scouts all turn to face you. Not the rest of the men. Just you. And they begin to charge, but not before you find what the being was holding and you destroy it. The men fall to the ground.

Like puppets cut from strings.

"Nuceria? Oh no. Sons. There is a threat that has been pressing into the system you are from. I have some of my armies and, the legions born of your genetic material, your own sons, trying to head towards you."

You will have a legion of sons

"After you get to Olypmia, please, refuel, restock, reprovision do whatever it takes. Go back to De'lormosa if you must. But you need to get back to Nuceria. Your brother is in danger." Your creator tells you,

"What is wrong?" You ask.

"There is a vile xenoform called the Rangda. They are moving in that direction, I have sent one of my best- the one you know as Alpha, in that way. To try to fight them off." He says and roboute has to get you to stop holding what was an unloaded pistol but now a mangled wreck in your hand.

"I have heard rumors of them." You say causin worry for both Perturabo and Roboute.

"I heard they the most vile slaver race of all. Worse than the ganth." Comes out.

"They set a scouting expedition towards deep into your sector."

"Father." You say not so much calling him that as saying it for convenience to get his attention.

" We will finish up here. We will deal with them. Then my hated ganth."

"From my intelligence, you probably won't have to. Those Ganth that didn't flee to the outer edges including those on Ganth Prime were absorbed into the Rangda." This xeno. Is really startin to make you mad both your brothers are looking at you with gravest concern.

"We'll talk soon." You say and you look at perturabo.

"I know you want to do more than war. but the faster we get done with that asteroid, the quicker we get you home to olympia, deal with these judges and save our brother." You say

"I understand completely and agree." Perturabo says

"I do as well." Roboute says

"We are in agreement. From this day, and from now on- if one of us is in trouble, we shall help the other like we are now. This cannot happen again. I wanted you both to meet him." You say grinding your teeth.

"We will." Perturabo says.

"I have to do something." You say and they both nod and you go to Jerah's quarters

You call a meeting of your friends and officers key crew members.

And you tell them everything.

"FUCK THE RANGDA GOT TO NUCERIA?!" Frank shouts cutting the hubub.

"Aye."

"Well that changes everything! What you planning to do?" Frank asks and you look at Jerah and he grabs his destroyer pistol

"I aint takin your mokka. We still going to De'lormosa. But we gonna get one of these ships with a warp drive ridin ahead of us. " You say and Jerah realizes what's going on before everyone else does

"Ah so we gonna be splittin the party, and you want me to take my mokka and run ahead after this." He says

"Aye." You respond

"And you need volunteers to ride back to help keep me safe, and help get things ready to go rescue ol Angron." Jerah says and then the crew gets it.

"Thats gonna be a long haul..." Frank says

"Yeah, and it means that Titus and his crew are gonna go with them too because of a needed spare Navigator." You say and Titus nods

"So we are going to be down a whole lot at Olympia, like we are going to be down a lot people." Meera says

"Yeah but we will have a lot of ships, and Perturabo with my help can get them to take off pressure." You say and Meera sort of nods,

"But we are still going to need to do a ground battle." Arona states, now wearing an outfit very similar to Lancers

"Aye. And once the mokka has moved we are going to probably make another knight too." You say and Lancer looks at you very confused.

"So what are you asking?" Your uncle says

"Who is willing to go to De'lormosa right after this?" You ask.

Fuck, there are not only Rangdan, but Slaugths as well, if the masters are taking to the field together with their slaver race, than it means they are coming in with force.
Also, is Jerah taking the materials that Martin need together with his Moka? That way we don't need to do a pit stop on De'lornosa when we rush back to help Angron.

>The Vigilant Society of Archivists
Or more commonly known as the Archivist Order, is a organization founded by Kolinasi, being named in honor of his mentor and friend Martin Archivarius, partly in jest since he keeps changing it. It’s organized like the ancient orders of Terra such as the Sigillite or Auromite, being intended to be a successor to them with the mission to ensure that humanity never experience a fall like the Old Night ever again by trying to recover lost technology, preserving knowledge and fostering cooperation within the Imperium.
>Archivist Consuls
Although the majority of members of the order are normal, but exceptional humans, some Astartes also may get initiated should they be able to juggle their duties as a space marine. If that happens, they are granted the title of Archivist Consul, and taught a myriad of secrets. Although they are able to the job of a techmarine or apothecary should it be necessary, their purpose is to ensure that the crusade is also accompanied by the archivists.
Fittingly for the legion of it’s own founder, the Storm Riders have the highest number of members of any other, followed by it’s brother legions of 4, 12 and 13. For example, ever Legion Master has been initiated, and quite often other positions of leadership as well.

"Tybro, Frank, Charon. I need you to go. I won't force you to go, but I am asking, please. Go ahead of us." You say and Tybro nods simply, as does Charon. Frank looks to your cousin then to you.

"It will be good to get back to Nuceria, it's a shame that it will have to be like this." Charon says.

"Why me?" Frank asks, and you realize something about Frank that has just now come to light- he apparently doesn't realize how good he actually is.

"Your the only one we know that even knows about the Rangda. You would be the best prepare the others." You say and Frank coughs nervously.

"Ok. Do you mind if I get my things together and ready before the raid first though Cap?" Frank says and you nod

"Same for the both of you." You tell Charon and Tybro who make off.

When you are done addressing you see Arona has disappeared. Honestly you aren't surprised and your uncle isn't either.

"So what is the plan?" Yana asks.

"We take the asteroid hard and fast, Titus and our team makes the broadcast and we don't get sloppy." You say and there is general nodding from most of the crew.

"Prepare yourselves." You say

In the final moments before the raid, Kolinaisi's concern about the Rangda, Franks reaction, and general worry for Angron led to him wheeling up a waste water barrel to his quarters, with non of his companions. All but one record was redacted, as Kolinaisi kept meticulous records.

__

You pop off the lid and pull out the artifact that worries everyone, when you so much as mention it, if they even know about it. Despite being submerged in water for quite some time, the surface appears the same, despite it flickering in and out of existence.

Until it stops suddenly in the flickering and appears more solid than ever before.

You have witnessed it haven't you. You saw it - The Motive Force. It spoke to you- how unusual

"Hello to you too scary box. I have a few questions that I need to resolve. Now you can either cooperate and not sound cryptic, frightening, unnerving or like you are trying to get me to do something stupid, or you can not cooperate and do what I just described you shouldn't do, and I will put you back in your waste water barrel. Though- to be honest I am not sure if either option bothers you."

It is wet in the barrel. I will cooperate. Why would you suppose that I would be able to help answer your questions?

"Because I suppose you would know if you aren't answering my questions or helping you go back in the barrel"

Very poignant. What is it that you must know, that you think I am aware of?

"The Rangda. What are they? Why is everyone worried about them? The seem dangerous and they are heading towards Nuceria." You say

An Ancient Enemy. A Creation of the First ones, a living weapon used by the Slaugth. What is part of me recognizes that in larger numbers they are almost impossible to stop. Yet my kind did, many a time. However, they are rare to summon to action. They are normally reactive. If they are going somewhere- that means something is causing them to migrate. That is most unusual.

"Tell me about it- what kills em?"

I suppose the more helpful I am the longer I stay out?

"You are correct mate. But if you ask me to unleash you or whatever it is, I am gonna throw you right into the barrel."

Thank you for being forthcoming on that. I will not ask you. I know one day you will need to do it. As for what will kill the Rangda- it really depends on what has been fighting them, and for how long. They adapt their forms to their needs. If they are invading, they will likely be immune to the primary weapons of the beings that make first contact- though some weapons always work.

"What do you mean by some weapons always work?"

If it disintegrates it will work. some biological weapons may work. The First Ones, in their cold intelligence knew that their creation had teeth that could bite the hand that feeds. Especially when you meddle with things outside the galaxy

"What do you mean?"

They used genetic material from outside galactic beings. What that sample was, I cannot tell you. The Slaugth, are exceptionally intelligent, and are capable of creating powerful biotechnology. Not since your kinds men of gold has there been anything like them. Though- the First Ones did teach them to sing. That of course would be an option. [/spoiler]

You take the 'cube', if it could be called anything, and put it on the desk. You then, to be safe put it in the bottom drawer. You briefly for a moment, consider letting Perturabo have a crack at it, but he has far too much on his mind. Last thing he needs is this.

"Don't go tempting anyone or go wandering off." You tell it and then close it and lock, you briefly interface with the computer and tell it to make sure that nobody who doesn't normally go in while you are away is able to.

As you gather up your gear and go with your brothers, each getting on a different ship, you worry briefly about what may happen.

The usual chatter and activity goes on before the raid, though as you get on Titus's sub and look around you notice that there are quite a few similarities the trip to the Asteroid is quiet, and everyone is a little on edge. The trip is short as the asteroid is a void station and errors cannot be afforded.

When you land shortly behind the other ships, you can see there are no bodies in the landing area.

"This where we want to do our broadcast?" You ask almost a bit skeptical.

"Yeah, the tech will work better here. Thank you Kolinaisi, your help is going to make things a lot easier." Titus says

"What exactly are you doing with this broadcast?" You ask

"We are sending some coordinates and a status update of all the ships that were captured plus your brother." Titus says

"I think they already know about Perturabo." You say

"What makes you say that?" Titus asks.

"I already let someone know who seems important." You say.

"While that is good, we have to do this through at least one official channel, plus the way we are doing it insures some records and a better mapping of the system." Titus explains to you and honestly it probably is good to have this done, though it seems a bit risky.

"While ya settin, up I am gonna scan the asteroid and check out the electronics." You say and Titus quickly nods. You scout out the nearest panel, which isn't much- nothin more than a simple thermostat. You go up, take your probe and pad, and -- this asteroid's is ancient, or at least the technology is. The system architecture has things that date back to- the 2nd millennia? It has strange systems on it, things that incredibly strange. Many of the systems have either old and powerful machine spirits that are almost crushing in their weight and ego- to spirits that are mere whisper. From your briefest connection, you are able to understand that the whole asteroid- if you are careful- can be mapped without incident live and real time. There will be no surprises for anyone.

If the machine spirits cooperate- and they are

Why are you in my operating system and what exactly are you trying to do? And how are you doing it? You are not a cyborg. Not a robot. You don't have any input function- it's like you are manipulating electricity and connectivity by some sort of physical process. Like your body is part electrical signal.. What are you? overly inquisitive and talkative. This is the most vocal machine spirit you have ever communicated with.

Mate- that's a lot of questions, and I'm only human. You respond to the overly chatty spirit.

ONLY HUMAN? HA! Either that is the height of human humility or human ignorance. That's one question down two to go! Great now guessing game. This Machine spirit- is something else.

Ok, if I answer all your questions would be more willing to help me? You ask it.

Yeah why not. I got nothing better going on. The current tenants don't know what the hell they are doing and you are actually doing something interesting by accessing root controls and actually talking to me and interfacing with me, the last time someone did that was over twenty thousand years ago. The spirit, seems to like you.

That's a long time mate. I am in your operating system trying to clear a path for my friends, and make sure they don't get hurt. As for how, I am honestly not sure- I just speak through the mana, it's in everything and it makes talking wit machine spirits a lot easier. It's just part of what I am. It's a bit complicated how it works, I could go into it with ya, but I am mostly worried about my friends and brothers. You explain to the spirit, and it seems receptive.

Interesting. You are using the wifi frequency to create a mesh net like some sort of radar, humans haven't thought like that in a while. I will assist you stranger. Just remember to respect where you are at. This station is the first place the farstriders went before escaping the bonds of this galaxy. The spirit says, and you nod- though you wonder about what the spirits a farstrider is.

I will remind my friends to be respectful. You say.

"Lads. Please be nice to the asteroid and it's inner workings. It is very old and it is very unique." You say over the comms and Titus turns to you quickly as Meera sighs.

"Cap you just can't go talking to every machine, one of these days you are gonna run into some sort of weird data djinn daemon thing with our luck." She says

"And with our luck he will do some sort of computer duel with it and it will work with us." Gella says back and Yana rolls her eyes

"Can do Cap." You hear Jerah says

"Will do brother." Roboute responds.

"I will." Perturabo says in a very interested tone. And with that you set up the net, and using your data slate you are able to have an accurate visual of just about everywhere on the asteroid and you share it with your crew using the wifi itself, and the data slates they have.

And just in time too.

There is a small unit of clearly enemies heading right towards you.

"Ladies get ready, we got company." You say, and they do some quick stomps of their lances and get into position as prepare to face the threat head on.

You would ask the asteroid for additional assistance, but you probably don't need to press it just yet. You arrange the shields to create a good killing zone for whatever may come through that gate.

And when it comes it isn't the Ganth

It isn't Drukharii.

It is something you never seen before.

It's huge. Bigger than you! It looks almost mechanical in some parts kinda like it was engineered, and followed by several smaller different species. It has four powerful legs and two powerful arms green and menacing, it looks similar to the Rak'gol. It looks upon you. And instinct kicks in as you dodge the shot from whatever insane weapon it has.

"It's a psyker!" Yana shouts out.

You lay down covering fire for Titus and the girls make the call that they are getting to work. You instantly engage the significantly larger being. You charge up, and begin pushing it around, bullying it so that it cannot act against Titus or your friends.

It makes strange noises as if it's trying to communicate- but you think it may be a ruse as it is also- exceptionally clearly, trying to kill you. After kicking at it, and leaping past it you get a good glimpse at it's weapon and the more you look at this creature, the more it worries you.

Maybe this is a Rangda.

It's weapon looks almost- no. It is. It's a biologically crafted weapon. The weapon, the gun it has been firing against you- is a biological device. That means it was either grown of something, or this race's bioengineering far surpasses anything you have really thought of. Though it does have traditional cybernetics. Some sort of helmet, a metallic jaw, and a cyborg claw arm. Not to mention the weapon on the long tail. The problem is that you aren't really sensing a machine spirit on most of what is on it, so finding a weakness is hard. It honestly looks somewhat crocodillian, though you aren't sure if the biology is the same, or it's just happenstance.

So take a few shots with your pistols, and it seems to be- still- trying to talk. While fighting. And it's minions, or the smaller strange creatures with it- they are not giving up, though they are dying by the droves and the creature seems to be disturbed by their deaths.

>> Push the attack- use grenades and other projectiles to deal with this threat.

>> Disable it. If you can manage it's capture the beast may prove helpful in the future.

You decide, using your knowledge of the wifi network, and with skill- you are going to do something you rarely ever do.

Take a live xenos prisoner.

You are able to tell that the being is using the wifi, without permission, which is a tragic mistake on their part. Utilizing the ancient technologies of wifi and something even more obscure, utilizing your data slate you are able to send a powerful data djinn turning off their cybernetics, at least until they manually reboot them. This has the funny side effect of the beings jaw coming unhinged and him dropping something that was in his powered claw hand.

While firing a few distracting shots, you are able to determine, that this beast does have weakspots on it's body, and it's four legs, each are able to be dislocated - allowing it's single functional arm to be quickly dealt with.

If it didn't suddenly realize what you were doing and decided to turn and run.

While the girls are easily handling the smaller pest creatures and various oddities, you have to leap infront of the beasts path, and quickly dislocate the front two legs via a precision hit in between two joints on both front legs, so it tumbles. You then disable the rear two legs in a similar fashion, and realize that the tail has a different system, and can actually act to help the body slowly move.

So now this towering thing with one functional arm, a hanging jaw, is moving around like an eel snake out of water- and yet it still tries to fight you. The only thing preventing you from laughing at how ridiculous the situation has become is how it has an amazing fighting spirit.

It attacks you again, this time with the biological weapon, but it is unable to get a good aim on you. Ending this farce, you sprint up knock the weapon out of it's hand and identifying the central nervous system of the creature, you strike it in a key part of it's spine. Paralyzing it from the neck down, at least until the bones are reset. You then drag the thing that weighs a ton over near the ship. And yet it still tries to talk with you, but it still isn't making anything you can understand as a noise.

So you look at it and begin making mouth like movements with your hand and try your hand at throwing your voice like how your dad does jokingly with fish

"Oh look at me I am trying to talk, but my jaw is locked open" and the being looks at you either slightly bemused, or furious. It's hard to tell with it's weird eyes.

"That was too fast." Yana says looking at the downed monster

"And you can't hear it because it's trying to communicate via psyker means, but your tattoos prevent it from entering your mind. It also tried to enter ours- but it wasn't strong enough. We had to prevent it messing with Titus and them, that's what took so long in defeating the beasties that we defeated--- THAT ERIHAPTI IS TRYING TO EAT." Yana says running over to Erihapti who is tossing up one of the slain creatures with her mouth, as if she is playing with it.

"Easy girl!" You say and Erihapti bounds over to you so you can feed her some fish. Which will soon probably have to be upgraded to something bigger.
.
"I think that wasn't the biggest threat." Meera says looking around, as Titus and company seem to be really nailing down the last of the set up.

The little troops were little to no challenge to the girls, and your own fight seemed like it should have been harder. Then you hear a loud and unusual half screech half roar from the hallway that sounds somewhat fami-

It's a Rak Gol.

WHY ARE ALL THESE XENOS HERE You quickly communicate, also in time to see, what you are almost certain is either vindictive mirth or terror from the face of the downed xenos- as once again it's facial features are hard to read.

Someone, I don't think it was one of your friends but I could be mistaken, pulled the prisoner release switch, which freed some xenos from the lower xenos research level. Your friends shouldn't have to deal with them, but unfortunately you do unless you try a root access command to the lower research level and lock it off. But that will be really hard to do with a Rak Gol running around!

WHY CAN'T YOU DO IT? You ask intently. Readying your weapons as you are now able to see the huge monster that can barely fit in the hallway and is having trouble maneuvering.

Because I, like most proper programming cores are in fact not ai but in fact an advanced neural net with programmed personalities for situations, and I am not allowed to access that unless I am accessed from a root system, which you are not doing right now. So you would have to do it through a system or ask me to do it from the Primary Microphone near where your friends are finishing with the broadcast equipment.

It's a good thing you ended the fight quickly by capturing your opponent, making this last longer than it had to would lead to more trouble.

You have barely a moment to make a decision as the Rak Gol is slowly squeezing out the hallway

>> Root Access the system now- there is no telling what kind of crazy beasties just got let out. Your Honor Guard can tie it up long enough to close down the research wing.

The Rak'Gol is the threat right now. While whatever may be coming, very little could be worse than the Rak'gol.

You begin firing at it, and it moves angrily like a very hungry predator towards you teeth chomping and it firing it's own weapon at you rapidly. You charge ahead and begin work with your daggers making fine cuts on the Rak'Gol. This allows the girls to shore up defenses and fire against the Rak'Gol.

Which does not like that one bit.

For the first time ever, you see a Rak'Gol be effective.

Instead of fighting you, the Rak'Gol decides to fight everything.

A being of raw physicality it manages to evade and harass you, while at the same time fighting your honor guard.

Your honor guard isn't really having it and they transition to their team tactics, which doesn't seem to bother the Rak'Gol with it's two weapons that have been made into make shift arms that would make the Ganth look sophisticated. It slashes at you and fires it's weapons.

Weapons which put the adriathic weapons to shame in danger. The blue and green bolts scream of radioactive waste and you already know that whatever is hit by the damn blast is going to have to be decontaminated if it doesn't out right put the nearby machine spirits in a coma. So you get in nice and close. And you are able to match it's two, chainswords, that each one of them, has a second chain sword linked to it like a twin. Though it's tail- which is purely cybernetic and show is more deadly and actually worries you. Whatever it seems to hit seems to weaken. Fortunately, it doesn't seem like it's tail can actually reach you. So it isn't like the scorpion it appears to be at all.

Then the Rak'Gol does something you would have never guess.

It pushes you aside then engages you solo.

And Speaks.

"SURRENDER AND DIE LIKE A SENTIENT." It practically roars at you swiping at you with it's tail

"Nah. I have fought bigger ones of you." You respond parrying it back causing it to make a disturbing high pitched screech.

"THEN FIGHT AND BE TORTURED. I CARE NOT. I WILL NOT TAKE ANY JOY UNTILL I CAN REUNITE WITH MY CLAN. FOR WHAT IS COMING, THE CLANS WILL MATCH AND NOT EVEN THOSE LIKE YOU WILL STOP US." It swipes again at you.

"Mate- I have fought some really stupid creatures. What the hell makes you want to go back to your clan." You ask dodging the next attack and it screams again.

TALKING ABOUT THE ARRIVAL OF THE FATHER AND THE HIVE MIND. HOW THE SCOUTS WERE ALREADY IN PLACE. MY KIND HAVE BEEN IN AND OUT OF THE GALAXY. I WORRY NOT ABOUT THAT." It shouts firing a small salvo at you, but you dodge, goading it. As much as it pains you to let something this stupid keep talking. Why is it that the worst of things must talk so much? Why can't they sing? Or do a decent haka? Why?

"Mate- if it isn't some weird daddy hive mind, that had that thing actin all weird. What scares you?" You ask.

"THEY, WILL WAKE THEM UP. THE COLD ONES. THE ANCIENT ONES. THOSE WHO SLUMBER. FOR I KNOW- THEIR SILENT KING RETURNS. ONE OF THEM CAME. HE TOOK ONE OF THE PRISONERS, THEN LAUGHED. A FULL SIZED KRORK. HE TOOK IT. AND LAUGHED. HE SAID, WITH IN 72 HOURS, HE WOULD COME FOR ME. IT HAS BEEN 72 HOURS, HE HAS YET TO COME. YET I PONDER THEM . THEY HAVE NO SOULS. THEY CANNOT DIE." It says, and that, that sounds hauntingly familiar as you slice at it.

"You have bigger problems then someone being late finding you, because I have found you. And I will take you instead." You say slashing such a violent arch it knocks it back. So it runs up the ceiling.

Then The Comms come open

"Cap- there is a really weird ship overhead. It appeared out of nowhere it doesn't look human, but it doesn't seem to care about us." Deliah says and the Rak-Gol begins twitching.

"IF YOU ARE SO GOOD, FIGHT ME HUMAN! FIGHT ME AND WIN." It shouts leaping down towards you.

"Mate, I am gonna sit here and see how this plays out- but before I get to fixin up this asteroids security, I have a question for you: If you want to get back to your clan so much why not side with the outsider eh? It looks up at you and snarls.

"THERE ARE SOME THINGS ONE SHOULD NOT SIDE WITH FOOL. MY CLAN WOULD NOT WELCOME ME BACK." It says and your neck hair stands up.

Something is very, very wrong. You practically teleport over to the console and begin the hack. As you do something almost cuts through reality and exits a single green doorway.

"An interesting discussion. It is true- just because something cannot be killed doesn't make it invincible." And what speaks these words, is something you have never seen before. It's skeletal. No. It's a skeleton. In fine garb and armor. No. Not even that. It is a skeleton that is armor. It would be something you would design for UR almost, but not so outlandish. The only thing Animate is Erihapti and you.

You can move.

It knows you can move.

"Your point- while valid lacks the subtle nuance of wisdom of Rak'Gol culture. Taking help from an outsider is a cardinal sin. It would be tantamount to someone like you from De'lormosa betraying your family. Though- even still you are a bit tall for even an islander. Oh my. Such fine Genecraft. And yet- something more those tattoos, and-" The being looks directly at you and it appears to almost be smiling if such a feat is possible.

"Electromantic Machine Empathy. My Goodness. I couldn't even apprehend you with a tesseract labyrinth if I wanted to! You might actually escape! How Bizzare. We are meeting far too early- but where are my manners. I am Trazyn of the Nihiliak Dynasty, curator of the Solomance Galleries. Now, I will be having my latest addition to my gallery, a live Rak'Gol Jannisari, exceptionally rare, and catching one alive even rarer." He- it- says.

"What are you doing to my friends..." You not so much ask as interrogate pointedly.

"Oh, I am just insuring they don't do anything foolish. I realized I would have the rare opportunity to talk to you now, so I am taking it. I do believe that we are at an interesting crossroads."

"Explain." You say out like an angry father.

"It's very simple. We will meet again. A few times even. But there is something that is in your possession, and in the future, I may ask for it. I do not wish to use it. Only to display it. However, I have to know now if you would be open to this concept of trade"

"You offer nothing in exchange for said hypothetical good if I have it. Why should I agree to such a thing, when I have no clue of what would be to gain." You say, knowing full well you will say no.

"In the future, You will see a war unlike anything you have ever seen. You will see armies rise and fall, races and planets. All I offer you now in exchange is the simple knowledge. Of the future. I will let you even glimpse it. After that all I need is to know you may consider giving me the item- that I know isn't a hypothetical in the future." The being, this Trazyn says.

The Rak Gol looks up to you and looks as if it's trying to scream but cannot.

"Mate, no offense- but even if you are offerin up a time machine the future changes too much: Hard Pass." You say to the being and it looks at you cold. Calculating. Then- a laugh?

"My. You are as wise I as I have been lead to believe. Very well. In that case as no harm has befallen me and mine, none will befall yours." The being says, but you have to investigate this further.

"If yours and mine wish to trade in the future, I may be open to it. What is yours if I may ask?" You say

"Ah! I am of the Necron as we now call ourselves. And I shall take your offer to consideration." He says pulling out a strange cube- that really looks familiar- and holds it up

"If what you are doin- displayin things, is like slavery, I am going to be honest with ya mate- I don't think we can have friendly relations." You state calmly. He then pauses to think, then looks at you.

"My entire race- is that of slaves. Our entire existence is hierarchical, I have been tasked with The Silent King himself to restore our culture starting with my museum. I will have you know- no harm comes to those that I keep. They do not age, they do not die. A beast such as this, that would be fighting you to the death, this is the more peaceful option. It will not grow old. The Rak'Gol genetic curse upon it will be lifted, and it will bring joy to many who visit the gallery. Can you say that is really so bad compared to it looting and murdering as a tool to be used by the Ganth? Or to die to the beasts that come?" It still sounds like slavery, with many extra steps and benefits, but still slavery. Then you realize the first thing he said- his entire race has only known slavery. It is something that probably hasn't even occurred to him. You sigh.

"A sentient being should be able to live and die as they choose." You tell him emphatically.

"We did that once. Our entire race had short lives focused around death and dying. I can barely remember my own past, but I was focused around our history and taking care of dead phaerons. Our people, were so eager to live slightly longer that we sold ourselves- our own souls, to beings of raw power who could grant us freedom from our painful existence. I knew people that died before they could become as I am. Now, many of us wish we had. In a perfect Galaxy, in a galaxy ruled by those strong in mind and spirit, we would have no need for that. If you can offer this Rak'Gol, who would probably kill you for not only fun but something as trivial as one of your mortal sustenance chips, something better than an existence without the cruelty of this galaxy around it- then I will happily leave it in your care." The being says then the Rak'Gol looks at you and barely whispers

"Let him take me, let him leave with me. Do what you must before he decides to return and leave. Warn the other races that the necrons have returned." It says in such a low tone that you don't think the skeleton noticed.

"Do we have an accord?" The skeleton of metal asks.

"Aye. I cannot offer it something better." You lie and it looks like the being is smiling, it's so subtle you can hardly tell.

"Splendid! No harm will come of your kind and I will stop the stasis field. Who knows. We may meet again sometime." The being says and the Rak'Gol disappears. You think about things you could ask this being, but you realize the Rak'Gol of all things, had a point. The longer you linger here the more this being may try to do this sort of thing. And before you can even question it, it disappears.

Titus, the girls, his crew, everyone except Erihapti and (her recording cam) act like nothing happened.

"WHERE THE HELL DID THE RAK'GOL GO?" Meera shouts.

"Ya didn't notice the 8 foot tall skeleton made of metal in the room did ya." You say and everyone looks at you like your daft. Except Eriahpti who looks at your crew like they were dumb.

"Titus mate- we have to hurry. Do your broadcast as fast as you can so I can go out and help the others." You say.

"Why do you think they are encountering resistance?" Titus asks you.

"Mate I know it." You say.

"WHERE DO THEY KEEP GETTING RAK'GOLS! THEY ARE SUPPOSSED TO BE RARER THAN A PARADISE BIRD!" You shout supporting the chain breakers with some covering fire, how the hell did it get to this point? You take aim and sneer as you fire upon the Rak Gol. To be honest, the Adriathic Sniper Rifle really takes the skill out of most of this. The fact that Kolinaisi let you have it is just a sign of your skill.

"Nice shot Frank!" Kai shouts, and it was an ok shot. You have made better. He knows that. Though, it may be a sign of respect. You bound forward past where the Rak'Gol was standing, and the Chain Breakers as always, fight as a pack taking down various members of the Ganth. Then they bring another Dark Bringer. Fortunately there are none of the honor guard, so it's just annoying to deal with. It phases around like a shadow, but Tybro- in true island fashion - punches his weapon through the beings chest. Which gives you just enough time to shoot an actual skill shot.

A moment's hesitation would have probably gotten most of these chain breakers in trouble, maybe even dead.

But Dead Rak'Gol cannot be a threat. And the headless one falling around the corner is a testament to your skill.

"Advance!" Kai shouts and you pitch one of Mad Meera's 'bouncing ball' grenades and it goes off, killing something, but you do not have time to check.

You sprint to the overwatch position raise your rifle and fire one off at another one of the strange creatures that look like an Alligator and a Rak'gol had a kid, killing it before it can invade everyones mind again with absurd rambling.

Then IT steps around the corner.

Something you have been waiting to kill for years if you had seen another one and you fire without hesitation.

It's shield is up to fast, disappating the shot. It looks like this is going to be very messy.

A Trueborn Ganth Enslaver. This one decked out in the gear of a black judge.

It bleats out a roar. You have moments to react and throw down the white noise generator.

"DON'T LET IT SPEAK." You say and the chain breakers turn to you, and Tybro realizes what is going on and begins the assault by leaping at it and shoving something in it's mouth like a gag before he is thrown off.

"IS THAT A TRUEBORN ENSLAVER?" Kai shouts and you nod and his eyes grow wide.

-
>>
>>5170355
"We'll take em down! You cover the corners!" Kai says and you throw down the toy that you made after Kolinaisi explained that the ship had friend or foe designators. So as a side project you made a turret that can cover your back. As soon as the chain breakers charge, various other Ganth low born run in. To their death. You fire upon them and make quick work of them. Then you see it.

Lightning fast, four arms, brightly colored with razor claws and running at Kai. You bring it down with your Rifle. And the next one. And the next one. One of them tries to come up from behind but is turned into chunky salsa by your turret. As the field flickers You see the breakers giving you a clean shot, so not to risk the lads you take out your pistol and give a clean head shot. The ganth falls to the floor.

"What were those?!" Tybro let's out, though he rarely speaks.

"Don't know- don't care. They were trying to kill you, so they had to die." You respond, you look down at the map that Kolinaisi made using the archeotech fromm the asteroid. The core- and the edge of the hallway was dead ahead. Roboute should be converging on it at the other side at any moment. The door begins moving, and is about to open.

Everyone get's back and you hop into an overwatch position.

As the door opens you see her, and the rest of Roboute's men. You smile at her, and she smiles back at you. Kai then gives you a slightly cross look. As if you hadn't saved his life 5 times already today.

Arona walks over.

"You're late." She says triumphantly.

"We had to deal with more heavy resistance." You say and Kai points to the strange bodies.

"We only had standard Ganth guardians and a few drukharii." Roboute says looking at the raw carnage on the ground.

"What are those?!" Arona says pointing to the brightly colored clawed creature.

"Lightning fast, razor sharp, and they seemed smart enough to arrange an ambush. So nasty." You say and Arona, while her father's head is turned pecks you on the cheek.

Why do you have to go to Nuceria?

Ah yes, the fate of everything with the Rangda there.

"These, need to be studied." Roboute says.

"Yeah, we still got to figure out what we are going to do here though. " You say, still unclear on the plan aside from clearing out the entire asteroid so this 'Perturabo' can get materials and somehow make this trip easier.

"Waiting till Kolinaisi says the broadcast is over, then we access the computer, see what is on the asteroids records, and maybe we will find Ganth Prime." Arona says. Maybe this bloody quest against the ganth will be over. That would be nice.

"How long should that take?" You ask and Roboute shrugs.

I don't know about the genestealers, they are atleast 5k years too early for the absolute first encountered.
The timeline got changed around 10 years ago right? That is way too short of a change for the scout hive ships to yeet themselves faster and start a cult big enough to call a splinter before Pharos lights up.
>>

Now for the Hive Fleet as a whole heading our way, it makes sense, specially since the shard of the emperor nudging us could serve as an alternate beacon insteaf of Pharos, with the Astronomicon and all.

There was very little way that this kind of thing happened, but you guys picked it.

Something happened earlier that either summoned the tyranids or caused them to move towards the milky way.

I did mention what happened, however I didn't say what it caused. You will have to go back and read it to figure it out. If you guys ask if [x] caused [y] I will be happy to let you know.

Doesn't mean Kolinaisi will know.

Maybe the old man can figure it out.
>>
>>5171705
Ok, so out of the top of my head I can only think of Emperor's Shard fucking about potentially boosting the Astronomicon, the creation of scary box could have lightned up things, one of those events that the old man was inveatigating to what caused the timeline change, we chose the event horizon one but it could have been another. There was also Martin's oath and our Aedriatic giga beam, but they have been way too recent and the migration of the Saugth, Ragdan and Ganth has been happening for a while, unless they were doing it because of the Imperium moving and we just accelerated things.
>>
>>5171744
Also might gave something to do with the viaion we had and picking the shark option, but I'm not so sure about that one.
If it was something we did, than the storm, the beam and getting the box is the best candidate.
>>
Well irregardless, weve still got a long ass time before the nids even make it to our galaxy. Best hope its during a time the imperium is strong else everything is fucked. We may need to let the box god out.
>>
You look at the cameras briefly, but you pause. You figure the best way to do this is a physical sweep and make absolutely sure that there is nothing in the hallway nearby.

As you enter around the corner- you let of a quick burst of shots. Whatever 'it' was is now no longer a threat, but there is no evidence of it either for Kolinaisi to throw in the fancy scanner of his. Working with imperials, yeesh. Maybe if they came here sooner this wouldn't be an issue. Then again, you maybe too hard on them. It takes a long time for anyone to get to the outer rim.

You look down at the ground, and aside from the scorch mark there is gore, from a likely ganth that had basically been destroyed by this beast. You check the rest of the open cells.

Nothing.

Then it strikes you- this was a prison transfer colony. Someone who had ships fast enough to go outside the galaxy would abduct things to sell to the ganth. So whatever is in here- makes a Rak'Gol look like Kolinaisi's pet stoat.

"Tybro" You call over to him and he, along with Charon walk over.

"Im going to investigate in here, if anything besides me comes out- without me- kill it." You say Charon looks concerned. Tybro, just makes a little noise and shrugs readying himself.

You kick open the door.

Or almost do.

You bounce back from it and Tybro laughs a little.

And points to the keys on the floor and passes them to you. Some observant operator you are. You pick them up and unlock the door with the key that looks like it was made for Kolinaisi with how huge it is. To be fair, most jail keys are big like this to make them harder to replicate. And lose.

After a quick turn and an opening of the hardened door you look inside. There are several empty cells. None of them open. And two cells that have something in them.

One has a strange beast similar to the ones on the floor, tied down and secured, and it has a huge thing over it's head that looks like some sort of foil of a black metal. It clearly has some psyker stuff going on, and has a large tag on the bottom near a tail that looks like a tracker.

The other makes your blood run cold.

It's the Selenar Gene Witch from Nuceria. The real one this time. The one whom is the very proof that evil exists. She has a blindfold over her eyes, a gag in her mouth, and also looks to be tied down. There is a sign above that is written in some sort of blood ' do not let her speak. do not uncover her eyes. do not take off any of the bindings. she only promises lies. . If she was standing up, she would be taller than Kolinaisi. Her artificial beauty is as haunting as you remember and honestly the only thing preventing your body from reacting is your absolute detestment of this creature not fit to be called a human. Your hand is on your gun.
-
>>
>>5171856
Her atrocities are countless and you know them. You can name them. You know her story that makes the ganth look like petty delinquents. Any Justice done by a crowd or a court still wouldn't be good enough.

You have the rare opportunity. Her head is worth a planet to the imperials. You and Arona could live somewhere safe and run away from all this after everything is done. Or you could have a battleship, and end the ganth for good.

You know it's the wrong answer though. Kolinaisi needs to know the full extent of why she needs to die. All of them do. But are they strong enough? Do they have the will? You know the witches will. Kolinaisi will. Roboute and pete turbo or whatever new guys name is will. It's good that some of them haven't been exposed to that much of the galaxy. Yet

Tybro- will know.

Charon will know.

You sigh and scratch your head.

The Event Horizon one is correct. That is what set off the nids. That and some race going in and out of the galaxy stealing things and using them for slaves has summoned the nids.

This has alerted the silent king, whom upon seeing Tyranid Movement returned hastily to the galaxy.

"Cap. We have an issue." Comes through the comms and you look down at it.

"Go ahead Frank." You tell him. And you would regret you did.
-
"Cap. You are a good friend. I don't use that term lightly. I know, you are a friend to all on this ship. You are the best commander I have ever worked with. I have never had any doubts of your leadership, any doubts about your capacity, or any thought that you would have trouble pullin my ass from a fire. You are a leader of old. Something that is rarely talked about. They call ya a big man. You are a good man. A great man. A leader of hearts and minds. If there was ever a leader of hearts and minds, if there is ever a man I would follow to battle no matter what, it's you. And I aint the only one who thinks this." Frank says.

And you are worried. Nobody talks like this. He is preppin you.

"Stop butterin me up frank."

" When we were on Nuceria, there was a prisoner that I intentionally listed as high priority as possible. Some of yall laughed at it. They got killed cuz they were a lacramole." Frank says and you don't want this to dawn on you. You want good news. Not bad news.

"And?"

"There once was a woman from Selenar. Luna. The Moon. We don't take it for much, not many of us have much to care about what someone a ridiculous number of an insane measurement away thinks. I have been more places than any chain breaker. I, in my 29 years, have seen so much shit you, Kolinaisi Kaiko Wahthiri, RuaRua, captain of the something fierce has given me remit to operate as I see fit. Your uncle and daughter trust me." You say.

Now you wonder what he is about to say.

"Captain. I beg. I plea. I implore. There is a captured enemy in a prison hold. Before I list their crimes. Before I tell you who they are. I wish to ask you if I, since you know me, may kill them. Now. On principle."

The rest of those around you give you a mix of looks. Except Arona. Who comes up to you and holds your hand. Then Kai, looks at you and nods.

"Frank man, I don't allow a kill for any prisoner before we inspect. You know that. It aint right. " Once again. Living up to the story of the great man. You look down at the floor and Aroan holds your hand as Roboute, looks at you curiously. Sometimes, you wish you wish you could be silent. To speak of her crimes, was to hurt others.

"Very well. Kolinaisi. As your crewman. As your sniper. As your gunner. I will tell you the person I found. The woman from Luna. She has stolen the minds of over 10,000 men to use their blood for genestock to keep her youthful after murdering them and bathing in their blood. This is the first of her crimes." You say and everyone looks upon you.

=
>>
>>5173915
"She would also utilize medical technology used to torture to extract actual happiness from people. She would capture a moment of joy and hope, after torturing people to capture this moment, and use it. To stimulate her mind in the way a base drug or product like Prometheum would. I do not have figures for this crime." You sigh out. You hold tight to Arona.

"She killed every member of her family at a banquet held in their honor by her, so that she may have head of household and monetary and business rights. Her immediate family consisted of 40 people. This includes her own children." You spit out reciting the facts that you know. You let go of Arona. You do not wish to hurt her.

"She would, frequently, hunt people for sport from her own palace, utilizing man drawn chariots. These people would often be related to the people running the chariot. This was something she would do weekly from her palace on Luna." You say and you try not to cry thinking of your brother Ryan. You try not to think of his smile as he boarded the shuttle. You try not to think of cousin Sean. You can feel your teeth grind thinking of Kayla and Maya.

"On occasions that number in the thousands, she would subcontract Ganth slavers to gather volunteers. Volunteers who would be transported to work as maids and butlers in her palace. Utilizing genetic technology she would have them work themselves to almost death. Upon their weakening, she would offer themselves an opportunity to redeem themselves from failure. This would be the form of a physical exercise. If they could climb a ladder doing a simple pull-up / chin-up technique from a certain height- they would be redeemed. If they were not redeemed they would be made into protein paste for her other servants." You say, your vision only a tunnel focused on the simple computer in front of you. You feel hands. You hear noises. But that isn't it. You need to tell the whole story.

" Those who were redeemed by her, would live on to become her paramores. She would install loyalty collars similar to those seen on Nuceria and make sure that they would be her servants no matter how poor the circumstance. Those who became her servants, would have to perform brutal tasks. Serving food after walking hallways barefoot on broken glass, making beds while stinging insects would be encouraged to swarm, made to clean areas while venomous creatures and explosives were placed in the area to be cleaned, kill anyone she fornicated with more than six times, and have people sing while inhaling poison gas." You are shaking. You are not sure if the comm still works from how you are holding it.
>>
>>5173917
"On average, she would kill twenty to forty people a day. Most of these were people that fled to her employ. Now that I have discussed her domestic and civil crimes I wish to discuss her other crimes." You say and you hear the click of Kolinaisi preparing to answer- but you don't care. Those that died need a voice so you hit the emergency over ride.

"In the grander scale, she was a prominent geneticist, in the literal sense. In reality she would experiment on people in ways that shouldn't be said, but need to be. To remember the fallen. For experimentation, she would often, for her benefit have organs grafted on the outside of subjects that were offered a safe pay and money. This was done so that if she ever needed an organ she could have it. However, frequently, she would remove organs from those she did this procedure, only to tell those she removed organs from, what organs were removed. After this she would, often, have people missing organs be stationed with others who were growing the organ they were missing. If my memory serves- 50% of the time this lead to brutal murder. The other 50% of the time lead to intrigue worse than the murders, where multiple people would carry out plots and harvesting of organs or legitimate operation. These organs, however, were often tainted or corrupted. So 85% of all organ carriers would die, trying to replace their missing organ. " You spit. There is some blood.

"Another one of her experiments involved children. She would specifically breed people, for reasons unknown to me, for the purpose of developing distinct mutations. Commonly she would develop natural strains of dna for people with unique mutation.. These would be things like golden eyes, blue skin, fangs, odd hair coloration, etc. She would, upon maturity, harvest their genetic material. And if she found them worthwhile enough, sell them into slavery. If not, she would host frequent gladiatorial games." You say. And now you must say it.
-

>>5173919

"Her most damning of crime was testing atomic weaponry upon refugees who would try to use transport ships to Terra, and making spectacle of the atomic weapon firing. Including sentencing several to death by strapping them to the weapon." You say before sneering

"She was able to accomplish this before by enhancing her body to were she would have abilities similar to a psyker without having psyker abilities. She can, with a glance cause a mine to be suggestive, with a touch cause a body to become feeble, with a whisper cause mental instability and with a kiss cause death. These things I know. I have lost family to her ways, and her affliction." You say.

Your vision returns back to you. Everyone. Even Roboute, looks a bit anger. Arona has tears.

Erihapti is, in all of her serene wisdom trying to keep you calm. Meera is next to you holding your hand. Titus looks as if he has seen a ghost.

It is to you, Kolinaisi- to pass judgement.

"Cap"

"Cap?"

"CAP" Meera and Erihapti are trying to get you out of it. You are practically vibrating with rage right now. You want to vent them. Throw them out the airlock and be done with it. But Luna, Selenar. Your creators planet, that is their moon. If anyone has a right to this war criminal- it would be your father.

"Bring that person back safely, if there is anything else in those cells- it may be best to secure it too. Secure the asteroid that Perturabo may complete this mission. Any slaves, free. I want the prisoner brought back alive. They will answer for their crimes to prime authority on Terra." You say aloud and Titus looks at you awestruck.

"Terra is a damn long way cap." Meera says.

"Justice for the voices left unheard by her deranged crimes. Vindication for every last suffering and hurt that she caused. Retribution shall be heard across the galaxy- but not until she is brought to Terra for this. We will come to that later." It sort of echoes out of your throat. You are not sure why, maybe the exercise you tried briefly for this weird language thingy have altered your way of speaking a bit. Everyone looks at you solemnly in agreement.

"Aye Cap." You hear frank say and you pause a moment.

"Frank what is her name?" You say dead serious, and it hurts your throat.

"Her names are and titles are countless. But she would be best known to those on Terra as Lady Zenobia Bathory." Frank says. You pause and take a sigh and sit down then hold up the tachyon com.

"Epsilon, are you available to talk?" You say

"It is an awkward time my son, but yes."

"Switch the secure channel 5" You say switching to the channel.

"Why the need for such clandestine activity?" Epsilon, your 'father', the emperor of mankind, and your not sure what the title is but ruler of terra. You sigh.

"We have a war criminal. We have them secure. Where they are from, this falls under your purview." You say.

"This is quite ominous. Whom from terra would be in such an obscure region and be of such importance?" Epsilon asks obliquely.

"Luna. Their name, is Lady Zenobia Bathory." You say. The silence is sharper than any knife.

"I implore you- if you can- do not let her communicate. Do not even let people smell her. She must be treated with the utmost scrutiny. She escaped the Selenar purge, and it is considered the greatest hurdle that we have had in several political points. Bringing her to face judgement on terra- it would accomplish quite a bit. It would also bring swift peace, closure and catharsis to many in the Imperium of Man. As Emperor of Mankind I give you my remit to do whatever it takes to bring her to judgement my son. If that means that she must face it on some asteroid at the hands of an axe then so be it. From what you have told me, what you have done- I know it is in your capacity to accomplish the impossible. Her being brought to justice is a bridge to a brighter future for all humanity. If you can bring her to me - do it. I will personally transmit my own remit codes to you so that so long as you are bringing her to me, you will not meet any resistance from mine." Epsilon tells you.

"I will do my best." You say and it resonates in your chest.

"I know. Before we must part ways, there are two I wish you to speak to." Epsilon tells you.

"Whom would that be?" You ask.

"Your son and your brother." Epsilon tells you And you shall have a legion of children.

"OPEN THE GATE, IT IS ANGRON AND HIS MEN RIDE WITH HIM!"

It's shouted clear enough that you are able to hear it, and your men are able to hear it, so you don't slow down. The gate is open enough for you to enter after ducking down, and your riders also have no trouble. The doozy, has proven to be a reliable vehicle. You ride straight to an awaiting group gathered of guards.

"Angron sir! We weren't expecting you so soon? How goes the war effort!"

"We are facing inhuman opponents that use advanced technology. They have enslaved a large portion of their army, however, if controllers are killed, it makes it a bit easier." You tell the officer. And then one of those who met you begins to shudder then scream and contort, and without fear begins to attack you. The 'officer' moves with inhuman grace and speed, and gets past your men effortlessly. As he leaps at you, you grab him and throw him to the ground nearby. You move at him quickly, knowing you will need to capture them, alive. You attempt to disable the being, but aside from it's inhuman shrieking, it also seems inhuman in durability. swift hit that would have knocked out a man has just angered it.

It tries to dodge, and flee. It doesn't work. So you bring out the manacles and you are able to quickly subdue the being.

"A very big problem. There are already infiltrators." You say.

"I think, I would like to talk to the person who I saw earlier, if I am not mistaken." The mysterious 11th primarch says over the Com. So far from what you have gathered of him, he seems insightful. After all, when you first saw him he was performing on an operating table and understood that he had been in contact with Father for some time!

"You would be correct! I am Magnus of Prospero." You let your brother know.

"I am Kolinaisi, Kaiko Wahtiri, of De'lormosa. Commandant of the Something Fierce, Big Man of the isles." He responds, in what can be described as a very harmonic, if not somewhat melodic voice that you hear from vocalist remembrancers. It's a lot to process at once, but from what you can guess- just from the titles- he is from a very unique planet that would probably house either a very ancient government to use such a system or a very tribal system with an extreme overabundance of technology. The latter, if true, would be more shocking considering military title indicating that he probably commands multiple ships- which is something your father was indicating for one of his 'far flung hopes' off in the far corners.

"De'lormosa? That is out in the unexplored reaches! And you have found others, other brothers?" You ask trying to have him say what your father told you- so that you may get a better grasp of the man.

"I have! Three to be proper! First on Nuceria I found Angron. He is an undefeated Gladiator! Great fighter! Fun to talk to, miss him already. I then shortly after met Roboute Guillimane of Macragga of the Utrimaah segmentum or system, it's a hard area for me to enunciate. But Roboute, he is a keen commander, a good general and he learns really fast! He is a good friend and a wise council to me while I have been on this ship. And he is a smart politician! Then just earlier today I found Perturabo. I haven't learned much about him yet, but I think I am going to enjoy getting to know him better. He is the smartest person I have met, he get's technology as easily as I do he designed some crazy armor earlier just from looking at what I got on my ship." From the pacing, which was quite a bit to keep up with, and just these few statements alone you have learned a treasure trove about your new brothers, all four of them. Though Kolinaisi seems a bit upset, probably from the war criminal father was referencing. You look to your father who is as equally surprised and, he looks- giddy? Excited? It was so hard telling his emotions, yet it was like this Kolinaisi and him had a secret connection, similar to his and yours.

"That is impressive all around, where are your adventures taking you next?" You ask, not wanting to reveal too much of yourself, but also to generally let him talk.

"Well- we are heading to Olympia next mate. We are gonna save Perturabo's planet from some nasties called the black judges, but tell me more about yourself!" And, he is actually despite his strange accent and mannerism, someone who follows conversational etiquette. Fulgrim is gonna love him. Maybe there is finally someone who oh so proper, mister 'Second Son' will actually talk to as an equal. But, it is right. He would want to know about you too.

"I am a seeker of knowledge. I study things so I may understand them better, I while not someone who has- if father has informed me correctly, single handedly commandeered a space ship" Something which everyone of your brothers are going to have trouble believing save maybe Dorn or Horus "I have had a few successful campaigns as well under my belt! Though right now I am focused on trying to improve my own sons and the legion as a whole. I want them to be intellectuals as well as warriors. I also have become talented with utilizing the warp and psykerist techniques, which you probably guessed how I was able to see you- though something makes you a bit hard to see through the warp." Which is a nice way of putting it. Seeing him through the warp is confusing enough to be the point it is almost like antiquarian 'dazzle' camouflages. On one hand he was partially bright, but- there was something that muted him in such a way it seemed like a scattering of souls.

"Aya! I knew that was it! That makes sense. Ya, my honor guard are all psykers, to be fair I think I am one too, but not as good yet? I only got a few tricks." He says- which he probably doesn't know it yet, but all of you- every last primarch- is to some degree talented in the ways of the warp.

"Oh? What did you do?" You ask, as it may be a good thing to ask.

"Well I keep hearing I got tech empathy, from, people" -the way he says people sounds like the way you hear Ahriman say 'noteworthy' when referencing local superstitions- "and I can talk to the machine spirits really well, they are usually on friendly terms. with me" And this, is a revealation if any to your father and you whom are both a bit shocked by this- the Martians were definitely going to be more supportive of this primarch. "Though, as far as all of the spooky psyker things the only thing I'm not really that skilled all I ever did was channel a lot of Adriathic Energy through lightning and slayed a really nasty beasty. So maybe I can hold myself in a fight? It made my headache pretty bad for a few days."

He set off the Adriathic Alarm detector on Terra by channeling a bolt of lightning- and somehow channeling Adriathic Energy into that.

And he isn't 'that skilled' of an offensive psyker.

Arnoul De'Saan, the Legion Master of the Eleventh was practically standing beside himself.

Your father, The Emperor of Mankind- was laughing. Really truly laughing. Like how he would on rare occasions with Malcador or Horus. Here he was laughing at the absurd joke of what his lost son just said. Horus was gonna really like this one. And to be honest, he is fun to talk to, and can make a laugh

"Not that bad at all. I do believe however, I have hogged this device long enough and your son does wish to speak to you" You let out a chuckle. Not that bad being something that would probably make your father swell with pride if he saw it. Your father looks happy as Arnoul looks like he has troubling mustering what to say

"He either is exceptionally good with a joke, or remarkably humble, potentially both. Magnus do your best to keep an eye on him if you can.

"I will Father." You say

-

And with that, you are left being the first of your legion to talk to your primarch. You have rehearsed this communication a thousand times in your head, and yet- it doesn't feel natural! Everything about your father seems- different, from how you imagined it.

While he is tribal, clearly, he is not as Leman Russ. While eloquent and well spoken he was not 'dramatic' in the way Fulgrim was. He seemed somewhat closer to Ferrus Mannus, yet he seemed warm and joked as easily as the Primarch Vulkan! If there was a primarch, he seemed closest to, it would have to be Horus, and yet most opposite of Dorn.

Yet- Your Primarch. Your Father, was like Dorn. He captured a space ship. Single Handedly!

Truly the match for your Legion! And yet before your well rehearsed line can even be said

"So I heard my brothers name, but what's yours?"

"I am Legion Master Arnoul De'Saan. It is good to hear your voice. I was listening in, and the Emperor informed me of your progress. Apparently we- have talked before, if you remember my voice." You say lightly kicking the floor with the back of your heel.

"Oh ya! I realized that too! Despite the Galaxy being so big we manage to cross paths before, but to be fair I would rather meet ya and the rest of ya in person." He tells you- and. Every story you have heard from the other chapters, from your cousins about the first primarch contact is different. How some told of hope and inspiration, how there was nervous energy or excitement, or other momentousness to it, this is different.

The way this feels, it isn't like that. It just feels- right. It's like a wave washing your feet on a beach or a calm breeze. For once in this whole crusade, you just have a calm feeling that everything is going to be alright. That you are going to make it.

"Maybe I should have boarded it." You say making a quick joke

"HA! That would probably have been the most awkward meeting in the history of the universe! Imagine that conversation later 'oh we accidentally boarded our fathers ship when he was on some mission to some far flung world!" He says
>>
>>5177810

"The other primarchs wouldn't even believe it if it came from the emperor's mouth! The meeting would be redacted on principle." You let out, almost as if talking to a lost friend

"Oh ya! On De'lormosa when something tastes bad we say it taste like getting in a fight with ya old man, but imagine if ya actually had to board the ship?! I'm glad we're meeting this way instead!" He says and you chuckle a bit at the strange expressions but he sounds like your legions father. If anything at all.

"Well, while ya got me here, ya got any questions for me?" Comes through on the comms, and you look back at The Emperor of Mankind, whom in his kindness, smiles to you and let's you.

"You have time for only one Master Arnoul." He tells you

Sorry gang. This one is long. Yesterday and today were rough.

I hope my writing quality hasn't degraded too much. Work has been something crazy the past 48 and will be for the forseeable future. I may have to alter my schedule.

That being said I should still be able to post and run.

~The story of the Eleventh's Reconquista during the great crusade can be traced to a single moment. The fateful moment that The Primarch of the Eleventh Legion told the Legion Master of his own home. Kolinaisi, the most dutiful recorder and chronicler of all his brothers, had not recorded the discussion however a nearby remembrancer of the emperor had. The discussion moved the Legion Master so thoroughly that it grabbed the attention of the emperor himself. When the emperor heard, what the planet of De'lormosa was, few could argue the serendipty of the event. For the eleventh legion, whom had come from various wastelands and the terrawatt clans, hearing that their primarch's home was what their home resembled on ancient terra- it had an immediate effect. The Eleventh had many names, but their speed to action would never be questioned during the crusade. The Emperor's own remit and will behind them, the eleventh became such a legion that during this time brief shining moment they were the most feared of the emperors legions. With the Emperors own words guiding them in this mission, our legion has always sought the path to make each world conquered a better place for all mankind ~

Eleventh Legion Head Archivist, Chapter Master of the Mentors- Ravi wakateleho Wahthiri.

___

"My home?" The Primarch's voice audibly changed to such a degree the Emperor began listening in.

"My home. I wish I was smart enough to have the words to describe it's beauty. Maybe the old man back home would be better at it. Just thinking about it makes me a bit homesick. But it's more than that. It's my family. My father and mother. My friends. The beach and the black sands. The palm trees in the breeze. The blue skies and the beautiful waters. The waves which I rode on."

"You rode on waves?"

"Yeah. I surf every chance I get. Sure there are risks. The weather is wild. There are hurricane storms which, I am glad we have stone homes now. There are great beasts and monsters that cause terror. But it's all worth it. The world that I call home, we fight for it. We make it a better place with our actions. Less than a year ago mountains of wrecked space ships and space junk littered the horizon. With the help of my friend and mentor Doctor Martian Thompson Longorion, or whatever he is callin hiself,"

Only the Custodes and Magnus were able to see the look of recognition and shock on the emperors face before he quickly returned to normal as if making a mental note for later or if he was trying to contact the being from sheer surprise-

"He and I created these fabricators and great 3d printers that were able to reduce the entire amount of these on the planet, making it more beautiful and natural. The main scourge of the planet, the Ganth and Drukhari, had to be taken care of, so we took the fight to them. Stealing one of their star boats, and laying ambush for their fleet with help from friends and fellow freedom fighters we were able to find out some of their plans. But the goal has always to keep De'lormosa what it is and what it should be. A place for my people, for humanity. It isn't quite perfect, but we are trying to make it a better place every day. Right now as I speak with you that Old Man I told you about is makin us a fleet of starships utilizing the wreckage, making my home a better place. I mean, there isn't much land, but what there is, from the black volcano, to the pristine reefs, to the shining shoals, to the emerald islands- the land is beautiful and worth fighting for. I guess that's what ya doin right now tho. Fightin for where ya from, to make it better."

The rememberancer was rushed from the room by Constantine Valdor. The only people in the room were Valerian Tacitus, Magnus and Arnoul De'Saan.

The Emperor's contenance changed only so that the custode really understood. Magnus merely observed. Arnoul- experienced it first hand

He appeared to the old man, brief enough that it could have been considered a passing moment.

The Old Man smiled at him.

He smiled back.

The man in armor looked about. Stunned as he looked about at the world around him.

"You actually did it. You preserved some of it. You kept it alive. If just a little bit."

"I did. For a minute, I thought I was the only one that remembered."

"You weren't."

And with that they were gone. The Old Man smiled.

And with a single tear that dropped from his eye and as it struck the sand, black turned to a brilliant gold.

"Kolinaisi Kaiko Wahitiri, My Son. What you are doing- what is being done by you, is something most mankind forgot. Something that was humanities strongest feature, one of our better attributes, exemplified in your action. I offer you no words of courage. No words of wit. No poetry. I do not congratulate you, not yet.

I only ask, that you keep going. That when we meet in person. That you continue this path. That you try to leave each planet you find, that you strive to make things better when you go. Humanity has always struggled with it's environment, conquering it- forgetting that it doesn't always have to be a struggled, and man so perfect in it's form can live in many environments and doesn't have to bend every tree or stone to his will. You have said words and things that I have almost forgot. Thank you for reminding me, part of what this crusade is about. As we seek to shape this galaxy, it doesn't always have to bent and broken to suit man."

There was silence.

"I will." Kolinaisi said.

"Do Good." The Emperor said and turned to the Legion Master

"Arnoul De'Saan. Upon completion of our taking of this sector, I order your legion to focus on the push to De'lormosa. You will help in your Primarch's learning of warfare. You will teach him the ways of war, of the ways of combat, and you will learn from him. You have saw his planet, as I have shown to you. What Kolinaisi is doing- is something that needs to be done for the betterment of humanity and you must emulate that. Your legion, built from terra watt clans and those of the pan pacific rim whom rallied to my call- tell stories of when their homelands were beautiful beaches, oceans, and tropical paradise. You have seen this on the planet Kolinaisi calls home. You have seen Terra. We need to remember what Terra once was. Maybe it's not too late to return to how things were. Go. Tell your legion. Tell them what you have seen. What you are fighting for. Tell them what could be. What this crusade is for."

Arnoul De'saan felt something stirring inside him he had not felt in a long time.

Without a word, in a way that the Custodians appreciated, Arnoul De'Saan bowed and left the room and Constantine Valdor returned with the Remebrancer.

Kolinaisi put up the Comm.

"Our broadcast is done!" Titus said in a cheerful voice and it breaks your chain of thought. He called you son. This man whom has never truly met you, felt so moved by your acts that he called you that.

But you miss your father who raised you. You miss your mother, who taught you. You miss the old man. You miss your home. Yet you know, their is still so much more to do.

"Titus." You say in the cheery voice you need now, and your honor guard seems to have gathered attention.

"There are still probably nasties on the other side of that. You get goin, get on the fierce, I am gonna call in perturabo to get to work. Ladies, we need to go find Robute." You say and you feel Yana against you. Then Meera. Then Gella. Then Erihapti licking your leg. And you smile as you put your arms around them.

"We will always support you." Yana says and Gella nods. Meera smiles.

"Lets go." You say.

Something he said, this Emperor has lit a fire in you, and you know that- something, your not sure what, is wrong here. Robute needs your help. You don't know why, you don't know how.

But you need to get down there, now. No time for caution. No time for the comms.

"Perturabo, you are up. We'll meet you in the hangar when you are done." You say.

"Something the matter?"

"I can't put my finger on it."

"That sounds irksome."

"Aye." When Titus steps on the ship, the field breaks up, and you carry them, mounting some on Erihapti, who looks proud of what she is doing.

"We have to talk when we are done." You say

"I agree." Perturabo says.

When you get into the hallway, there is something moving. You cannot truly detect it. It IS there, yet it isn't. The girls, being psykers, are on edge because they sense it.

Something is just wrong. It isn't a blank. It isn't a null. Something just, doesn't feel right. And you are chasing it. You can barely sense it through the ships helping with the wifi and your own skill of sensing the mana. It's Mana.

That's it.

It's Mana- it's wrong. It's like living Mana. Sentient Mana. And it moves about, not in this reality, but it traverses through the warp or some other realm.

You can sense it. It's trying to lead you somewhere. Like a trap. Like a trick.

The Eleventh Legion Master Arnoul De'saan stepped onto the deck. He was greeted as he always was, no pomp, no circumstance, just another day.

He then called the meeting. All members of the legion that were present were instructed to meet. This was unusual. Arnoul rarely ever wanted mass meetings. He usually delegated level to level, letting each unit work but today was different.

The unit met in the biggest hangar of the ship they were on. Confused. Some in full battle gear as if ready for inspection. Some in more or less. Others out of their brief sleep period.

Arnoul De'saan was sitting on one of the many gear boxes that could support his weight. When all were present he stood.

"My legion. Brothers. Friends. Marines of the eleventh legion. Today, is a most unusual day. I had the rarest of opportunities. I was gifted the rare opportunity. To talk to our primarch." Arnoul De'saan said and the hushed room began speaking.

"What is he like?"

"How did you?'

"Is he to lead us in the oncoming campaign?"

"Who is our primarch?"

Many other questions came rapidly and he just held a hand.

"Our Primarch, is Kolinaisi Kaiko Wahtriri of De'lormosa. I got to see his planet, thanks to aid of the emperor. For almost all of you- his planet matches the description of what your homeland on terra was aeons ago- a tropical paradise." Arnoul spoke and the hubub grew louder.

"WAIT A SECOND THAT WAS THE CAPTAIN OF THAT SHIP WE LET GO!" Jorag Ernhol shouted out causing some amount of laughter.

And he held his hand again. Such were ways in the Eleventh. With a name like theirs, disrespect and blunt honesty was expected even from a tech sergeant to a legion master.

"When I spoke with him, he- he was different. From any primarch. Talking to him, it wasn't like talking to some impossible to understand god like being. It was, like talking to an old friend. It felt right. This whole crusade, after talking to him, I know things will be good. It was like a wave on a beach, or a cool breeze on a summer day. Talking to him, it just felt natural. His language is a bit messy, but that's to be expected. When I talked to him of accidentally letting him go, he was actually kind of thankful we did, fearful of an awkward encounter." Arnoul said pausing and many of the marines quietly talked.

"He was kind, I could tell that he has some hard spots, but he was concerned about me, the moment he heard from my voice. He is intelligent, thoughtful and humble. Yet, he has some playful humor. I shit you not he had the Emperor himself laughing. " Arnoul then paused upon that and seeing the reaction this caused.

"And we, by order of the Emperor of Mankind have been ordered once we have secured our portion of the sector to go to De'lormosa and find him. I have been personally ordered, as we have all been, to assist in his training and mastering of this legion. Though I suspect, with him having captured an entire ship on his own- it will be a quick process. Granted, for us - it is to be expected.

For We are His Iron Hearts. Ours is the Temerity. The Fearless Daring. We will secure this sector- and anything in our way will not stand. Marines of The Eleventh. Let's Secure this sector. Then we will go find our Primarch."

"And our Brothers who scouted ahead towards there?" A voice let out

"If we are lucky they will find him first and make this a lot easier. LEGION! BACK TO WORK! WE HAVE A MISSION OF MOST IMPORTANCE." Arnoul De'saan shouted and it was so.

You stop.

You then stomp the ground and clap loudly slamming your daggers together. Then the girls realize and step around.

"VERY PLEASED TO MEET YOU"

"MISTER INVISIBLE MAN"

"NICER TO SEE YOU!" And you grab the rogue mana and pull it out into the light.

The being, is something unreal. It looks like a being of pure energy, and it looks upon you and the Girls can see it and they look exceptionally confused.

'Ahh. Nice to see you too. One who has been marked for greatness. One who has seen between the veil. One whom yet carries the spark.

"What are you?" Meera lets out.

"I am not. Yet am. You- Have taken something, something that doesn't belong to you. Something that too, is and isn't. You can give it to me- or I can take it from you."

"Last time, I checked, I freed said thing from it's prison. It has done nothing wrong. I will not suffer them to another prison." You let out with shrug.

I do not think you understand, nor do you understand fully what you are dealing with and whom you are talking too.

"I know I am talking to someone whom is invisible and may be actually sentient energy." You say

"We have a different name for our kind. Especially those of mine who transcended our bonds and broke our chains. I seek not to fight."

"Funny your sure seemed like it to me."

"I only want what is best for my friend."

"Well let me talk to them." You say and hotwire into the comms for your room and clear your voice and begin the speech of the machine

Heya mate, some invisible golden weird dude want's to rescue you from my clutches or something. You want me to tell them to piss off? You say and to your immediate surprise it responds.

No thanks. I like it here. It says aloud causing the being to look extremely upset, and like it's about to leave.

"You heard em mate. And next time don't be an impolite Rubbishman and come in uninvited without even introducing yourself." You say.

The being looks at you and smiles in the most disturbing way, yet somehow- it's familiar.

"But Kolinaisi. We have already met, you just don't know it yet." And the being vanishes, but not entirely. Just enough for you to be able to take a tiny miniscule bit of mana, in case you have track them. When the the being is gone entirely, you focus and keep the mana in an isolated function of your data slate.

"These rude cryptic xenos are really gettin on my nerves." You say And Meera pats you on the back.

"I think they are gettin on all our nerves. I don't remember you meetin any weird thingy like that." Meera says.

"I don't know, some of these things that involve the warp, can travel through time. Maybe you do meet them, or something like that." Yana says.

"That doesn't make it any better. It makes it worse actually." You say and there is some giggling from Meera.

"Or maybe." Gella says using a spooky voice

"It's someone you know masquerading as something else!" Gella says and you roll your eyes.

"C'mon, ladies let's go get Gullahman and Jerah." You say.

"How do you think Jerahs first outing in a while?" Meera asks

"I think he is probably worn out after having to do an actual raid." You say

"I think he had fun. He finally gets to test out that scorcher rifle you made him" Meera says.

"Fair, but let's try to get to Robute before any enemies appear out of thin air. Again." You say as the four of you run ahead and Erihapti follows behind, shield active so nobody sneaks up on you.

_

"Jerah! Hail and well met!" Guilliman announces loudly as Jerah and a small contingent show up

"Ya'll look like yos had a good time." Jerah says hauling what is clearly a bag of plunder.

"You encounter resistance?" Roboute asks.

"Nothing that my scorcher rifle couldn't fix. We encountered at least a Rak'gol and a buncha weird nasties. And Drukhari Corsairs. We also killed a few ganth." Jerah says.

"Frank, Now that Jerah is here, are you ready to go conduct your grim task?" Roboute asks.

"Ya. I need your best men. Jerah I need men too. This target is to dangerous for standard extraction." You say

"What did I miss?" Jerah asks

"It's best ya not ask mate." Tybro speaks out in a rare multisyllabic sentence causing Jerah to leap back a few feet.

"Well damn. Frank, take who you need." Jerah says, and you take his two best, roboutes two best, charon and tybro.

As you get to the cell you bust out the repair tape and some plastic ties. You have the rest stop as you take a simple cheese sack and throw it over the head of the scourage of the Selenar, the Liar of Luna. When you come back out you look at them.

"Do not touch her skin. Breath through your mouth. If you feel at any second that this is wrong, let me know and leave. If thoughts that don't seem like your own start to happen, stop what you are doing, tell me exactly what happened and leave. If you start seeing things, or feeling things or hearing things- stop what you are doing, tell me exactly what happened and leave. When we have gotten all exposed skin in silver tape we will take her immediately to the ship. If anyone asks if this is necessary- the answer is yes. We must handle her with the utmost care. Do NOT let her bleed. If you feel for a second that you must have your vengeance upon the ACTUAL CREATOR OF THE GANTH RACE WAIT. Pause. Breath. She will see her death on Terra." You say

"Why didn't you tell that fact-"

"One, Tybro thanks for your concern. Two It's speculation that her techniques were what lead to the Ganth and can't necessarily be proven. Three- DO YOU WANT TO TELL THE ONE PERSON WE KNOW WHO IS BIGGER AND STRONGER THAN YOU THAT THE MOTHER OF ALL GANTH IS HERE AND WE WANT TO KNOW IF WE SHOULD SPARE HER A MURDER NOW FOR JUSTICE LATER." You ask raising your voice being the only person who has probably done that to Tybro. Whom shrugs.

"I'm just sayin- Kolinaisi has been good to us. He should know the story that the Mother of The Ganth may have been Luna's Worst Gene Witch." Tybro says calmly.

"There is no actual proof. Otherwise I wouldn't have said that. I only said what I could prove." You say.

"Okay. There are a few of us, what about that big beastie over there?" Charon says.

"I didn't ask, honestly I am not sure."

"Frank- this is your op. That's your call." Tybro says and one of Roboutes men nods.

Why do I get the feeling the beast could be a tyranid and the black helmet it's wearing is keeping it from contacting It's hive mind, making it independent so long as the helmet remains
Still voting to capture it anyway, since we could still dissect it learn about them of even completely separate it from its previous hive mind and make a new one with it perceiving us as its "queen" or even Erihapti making our own tyranid fleet, maybe with our mana manipulation it could be possible??
Obviously with measures in place so it stays under our control with little chance of any of them breaking away or turning against our people, maybe with inorganic drones to supervise them as we attempt to dominate them to make shure there is little organic matter in ther vicinity
This encounter could even give us a reason to practice genetic engineering, and we already have a massive ship sized facility on our home world where this very subject was practiced

Course these are only valid should the creature possibly be a tyranid and not some other psychic beast
>>
"Load it up. Carefully. Whatever it is, they wanted it for a reason. It could be related to those weird xenos we saw earlier, it could be anything. So we use the manual control over there I guess." You point to the weird stretcher that it is on that apparently keeps it in Stasis, and honestly your tempted to swap it for the other, but you know that may have consequences. Whatever THIS is, the ganth thought it was dangerous enough to warrant this treatment.

The process of securing, her, is painfully long. Nobody falls out, which is surprising to you not because of skill, but because of lack of tricks. Maybe the Ganth had --

Charon begins screaming, so does one of Roboutes. It looks like one of Kolinaisi's Headaches with how quickly Charon is on the ground.

Fuck. Tybro begins working faster, and the other of Roboutes helps out the two .

So you pull out the secret charm, and spirits help you if anyone saw you with it.

You briefly strike her with your secret to enhanced interrogation, an archeotech agonizer, something similar to what the Drukharii occasionally use, but more easy to control and more potent. You crank it enough to knock her out- and you can tell by body movement and breathing. Charon and Roboute's man stop screaming. Good.

"Ya'll recover, then haul out the beastie we got this one." You say as the last lash of tape is over.

"What kind of insane defense is that?" Charon says with a vicious cough.

"The kind that someone who has no regard for the lives of others uses." You are not a hypocrite. You care about others. You don't just use the agonizer. It's only for those who cause the greatest harm, and once you are done with the ganth, it will be destroyed.

Tybro looks at you and raises his eyebrow. You know he saw. He knows you know. You just shrug.

Tybro never really judges. Then again how could he. You've seen him literally tear a man in half. But you know he doesn't like your methods. He is one of the few people that doesn't fear you. You are just happy Kolinaisi absolved all criminals who turned to his banner. The chain breakers think of your good deeds, but Tybro, Tybro is one of the few who knows your past.

War Criminal

Murderer.

Coward.

Some of the men, in Angrons group, and in Roboute's crew, had kill counts. They were obvious. The sad truth is, somewhere along the way, you lost count. You promised to yourself that you wouldn't. That you would remember every bastard slaver, every ganth, every rangda, but you couldn't. Not if you tried. With remembering those you showed justice to with a rifle, it was easy. But there wasn't just the rifle. There were the bombs. The mines. Fires. Poison.

At least Kolinaisi offered some sense of absolution. There is a hand on your shoulder.

Tybro.
>>
>>5182164
"Frank." He says and motions towards the door. You haul up the 'woman' if they could even be called human for all they have done and the beastie. Many of the chain breakers have blades drawn. You aren't surprised. The Beastie, is well behaved, if that can even be the case. The thing looks so weird. Then you look at the shields. The battery is running lowish. It could probably be charged on the Fierce, you will have to remind Kolinaisi.

"That is the woman?" Roboute asks and you nod.

"She doesn't seem so fierce, but then again you covered her in tape." Roboute, in some naieve sense of Empathy slowly reaches towards her, and you move.

You are not sure if it's hate, wrath, nerve, fear or what but you put yourself between his hand and the body with a blade out. You won't let anyone free this bitch. And Roboute seems, impressed?

"Frank! Easy mate!" You hear Kolinaisi say.

"Cap, it is not safe to touch her, even you. Even with the tape I am not sure. Charon and one of Roboute's boys fell out with one of those crazy headaches you get, and I didn't even see them touch." You say and Kolinaisi whistles

"That is some crazy defenses. What about neat lookin beastie here? Looks like a big shrimp and some kinda weird leech or insect. Kinda like an eel." He asks

"I was kind of worried about this one." You say resisting the urge to just crank the Agonizer to max and stab it in her spine.

"Fair mate. We know what this one did?" He asks and you point to the file on the weird stretcher the thing is attached to.

"Huh. Yeah, this one is bad too." Kolinaisi says showing it to Roboute, who looks worried.

"It's a psyker alien that drives people mad?" Roboute says aloud.

"Mate, it caused a psyker to pull their eyes out."

"Disturbing. Frank are you sure that one is worse than-" And he once again reaches and you step in between. Kolinaisi just looks at and shakes his head. Then Tybro- makes a chain breaker noise, which Kolinasi instantly recognizes then looks at you. Fortunately chain breaker code is easy. The sound was a simple affirmative. A heavy affirmative.

"Really?" Kolinaisi says and you look at him.

>> Tell him the truth. "Kolinaisi. She is the Mother of All Ganth, or at least there is a lot of evidence to support it."

Much as getting rid of her NOW would remove a great danger from our ship when we've already got problems to come, we already decided on keeping her incarcerated until Koli and the boys get united with Imperial forces and Big E himself.

Her judgement and execution, recorded and sent out across the whole of the burgeoning Imperium, can come later.

As for the beastie, we can just give it a quiet secured room and some tasty fish until things are less hectic.

"Cap, just trust me on this alright. I don't know how she will interact with you but to average humans she is deadly and that should be enough, I know neither of you want any of your men to die." You say and Kolinaisi takes a step back.

"What- What is wrong with her?"

Sometimes you need to hear the truth. And you have no problem delivering it.

"Captain. Kolinaisi-- She is the mother of all ganth. Or at least there is strong enough evidence that I support that theory and believe it. What she can do to humans is no joke- just trust me, you do not want to touch her." You say holding your ground firmly, wondering how the hell you are able to stand in front of a person who would accidentally kill you if he slapped your back too hard.

You can feel electricity develop around Kolinaisi. You can see his tattoos start to glow- which startles Roboute, and he then stops.

"I made a promise. We will deliver her. Take her to the ship. Put her someplace safe. Frank, Tybro, Charon- ya'll did good here. You have spare time before you must depart. Use it wisely, Race ahead, and meet us on Nuceria." Kolinaisi says.

So you nod look to your friends and grab the stretcher and sing the work song of your people.

"My Mother Told Me"

__

You wait a beat. You have to after that little tidbit was dropped on you.

"He has a lovely singing voice for such a deadly warrior." Roboute Comments

"Eh. He alright." You say not to brag about yourself, but also knowing that there are better in your company. Roboute gives an odd look.

"On the deadly warrior portion or singing portion?" Roboute asks, as the final upload from the core is complete, showing Perturabo is on the move.

"Eh, bit of both mate." You say, knowing full well Frank would agree with that statement, and Roboute chuckles and the lads and Roboutes troops move, as the two of you take a moment to walk behind.

"Kolinaisi, I didn't know such a person could exist." Roboute says to your shock. Is his world that good, or his father and mother just that good at raisin him that he hadn't seen such things? Roboute's expression to your own registers the latter.

"Am I sheltered?" Roboute asks causing you to laugh a bit at his joke.

"Naw mate, ya da and ma just tried to raise ya right." You say and he puts his hand on your shoulder.

"I am surprised that our Father wants to put such a heavy burden on you, having heard the details. "

"Justice isn't a burden. It's a duty. Especially with that monster." and now your quoting yer da. Again.

>>
>>5184053
"Your chain breakers are quite efficient at combat, I am actually quite pleased that I got to see them in action a few times, I may have to incorporate elements into my own legion." Roboute says making small talk, but it's good. Something to take the edge off all that this trip has been, the encroaching issues and the absurd timing that is needed.

"Mate- just remember if you do a hakka it has to be five, seven, five. And it has to be either threatening or joking, at least for a war hakka. There are a lot of different hakkas." As you start to count the different ones in your head causing Roboute to laugh,

"I think I will leave that to you. I wonder what my own legion will be like." He says

"Mate- if they are anything like your current legion, I say ya be doin alright. I just hope they are as disciplined as what ya got now!" You say and he nods.

"This adventure you have brought me own, has been something great. And we are on the eve of returning, with our newly found brother to liberate his own world. I thank you Kolinaisi." Roboute says.

"Mate- your the only thing making this not completely crazy. I am glad I ran into ya on your homeworld." You say as the two of you get to the hangar.

And once again -

The thing has raised it's ugly head.

All other beings are frozen, save Perturabo who has made it to the hangar. This time it has a small squad.

"I am sorry to be fickle, but when I discovered all the treasures that potentially lie nearby, including something that isn't yours-"

He says holding the cube

"I had to make my presence known. I offer you a deal. You can keep the cube, but not your brothers and these interesting historical figures and unique xenos that I wish to study. Or I take the cube, and you can keep your brothers, but not these interesting people." The being, known as Trazyn says.

"Did you send, the golden being here earlier?" You ask the pointed question, trying to gauge perturabos and Roboute's reaction. Perturabo, then realizes what you are doing instantly, stalling to get them into position so you may take this one down.

"I did not! But I detected it, came here, and detected something else- this cube and-" From out of nowhere, UR falls to the floor. And you do not sense his mighty and noble machine spirit.

"SUCH A RARE AI! I didn't know you were a collector of things as well, sadly, I cannot allow the one thing that could hinder my trade from happening." Trazyn says.

"Mate- you do know that trade is a two way street. You don't just take things from someone." You say-

"You are correct. What I am trading is quite the high commodity. Your life." And you see the ship off in the distance. You do remote detect from your dataslate the Fierce is still running, and could probably face this much larger ship.

"I want us on good terms, I do not want it to be like this." You say with no malice and no anger.

"Then we just do a simple trade!" Trazyn says and you can hear a mix of either frustration or joy in what passes as a voice.

"The trade is not simple! I have been sworn to take these prisoners to meet justice!" You say loudly, and Roboute, has finally caught on to what Perturabo has been doing, and begins positioning himself, ever so slowly

"Hmm. I see! Well, I could swap the criminals for- your Jokearo, such interesting beings made by such an ancient enemy! And a rare find. It's quite a good deal! You know I could have taken everything including your knights and just left you here to die. However, I have been told to not make enemies, but restore culture, and research what I can - and what you have is too good to pass up." The being says. He clearly does not want to fight, but you can sense another teleportation field. He probably has multiple ways of getting what is probably a whole ship of warriors down here. Roboute and Perturabo are both in position. The time to make a decision is now. Especially with this one's talking starting to wear ya thin.

You realize, now- that you could probably remotely activate the cube using your mana manipulation skills- but that is a last ditch that you do not want to do just yet.

Instead, you could theoretically, manipulate the mana just enough, just a tweak, and it would probably knock out Trazyn and his small guard. You don't know how much time it would be- but it would be more than enough to grab the cube.

Your tattoos glow, and you act as quickly, and accurately as you can. You pull on the mana of him, and every necron nearby and as you do it, only Trazyn realizes what's happening, and begins to panic.

In the mere fragments of seconds you can make out that he is clearly not in the mood to fight as his expression bends to and you can see the fear in his eyes. You can detect his own mana trying to swap states with other of the warriors, only for him to realize in horror that will not work.

Your adjustment works and the last one to stop glowing is Trazyn, everyone quickly is freed.

"GO! NOW!" You shout to your crew to retreat as they flee to the ships, with your honor guard and your brothers staying as you snatch up the cube.

"Rongo Ready that Tanhauser array! We may have to use it!" You shout

"Aye Cap!" Rongo calls back.

Perturabo, whom is quickly glancing, from his expression has drawn a very sudden conclusion.

"We do not have time. The crew can get to safety- along with the object in question, we however can fight it, and I am fairly certain we would win." Perturabo says and Roboute, looks encouraged.

"Then let's not give him back up! Toss the warriors!" You say and the three of you, begin tossing the warriors out of the airlock. As the last warrior is tossed out and drifting, You see the eyes on Trazyn begin to glow.

"RONGO HIT IT!" You shout and the ship blinks out.

Trazyn looks at you, holding the cube and with your 3 brothers, realizing that he has no warriors.

"I see you found a better position for bargaining." He says gripping the staff that is now glowing.

"You threatened those near to me. I had to act. I didn't want any trouble with you- then you stole, so I had to reclaim what was mine and help my friends." You say.

"I see. And I see that you have dismissed my ship, and my warriors. I will have you know that while these are the worst odds I have ever faced, and I absolutely do not wish to fight- if I have to- this will not be easy for you." He says.

"Mate- your sounding like you have a reason to make it so I don't twist this cube open and see what happens." You say and the eyes of Trazyn glow exceptionally bright.

"I assume you know what it is that you hold, and that is why you protect it?" Trazyn asks bringing his hand to what looks like his jaw.

"I do." You say. Trazyn paces around. Then pauses.

"There will come an hour. I will take the corpses I have found here to my king. To see if these are the threat he described. He will determine if they are. If that be the case, know that this threat is to all existence known and we shall fight against it. When this hour comes, that which you hold may be the only thing that can potentially save a galaxy on fire. In your wisdom, you decided fit to show me mercy, despite my actions. Due to this I will leave you with a request and some advice." Trazyn says

"Mate you think you are getting out of here?" You ask.

"You somehow jaunted my ship into the warp- which would trigger the failsafe kicking it out of the warp- however the jaunt was a shockingly random distance, of barely in my personally teleporter range yet out of weapons range. Curious. I can leave at anytime I want. And will." He says.

"We'll see about that" Roboute says readying his fist and you hold up a hand, something makes you feel he is being sincere.

"You used trickery before. Why now?"

"My king, has certain protocols that must be followed, right now would break them. He wishes for honor. I figured you could be reasoned with due to your fighting one of our kinds most hated foe." Trazyn says

"What the Rak'gol? The Ganth?" You ask

"No. The Aeldari." He says, which is something that is odd, specifically you have really only fought the derranged drukharii, but if it puts him on good terms, ok.

"Mate, my brothers. Their patience grows thin. Mine is already taxed."

"Ah. Direct. I see. My humble request is thus. There will come a time, in which my people will need the weapon that humanity and it's designs involved taking something of ours, I only ask- that when my King asks, and he will- please consider giving the object to him. My advice? Do not set free something which you cannot put away." He says and is once again gone. You walk over and use a jolt of power from yourself to give unto UR. And suddenly you sense their machine spirit, it's faint then it grows suddenly.
-
>>
>>5184915

CAPTAIN THERE IS A NECRON ON - Oh. That was quite abrupt. Please forgive me while my voice reconfigures itself back to what is considered normal for all we have been through." UR states moving their body around performing what are clearly standard motor checks.

"You good?" You ask

"Now. I am." UR says and their emotive is that of the now known symbol for 'happy' of :^)

"So, how do we get back to the ship?" Meera asks, and you realize that all the ships did scatter save perturabo's vessel that looks unique to say the least.

>communicate with the machine spirits in this asteroid station, asking for a any information about any storage rooms the ganth used to house any resources/ weapon we could grab quickly along with a communicate channel we could use to contact them and keep in touch.
Could be a useful base of operations for Kolinaisi's sons and double as a mining base for the asteroid belt it's in for the sector so any worlds nearby can be supplied raw materials
Course it won't be an asteroid for long with our tech savvy sons upgrading it and improving it's defenses so it could work efficiently, with advice from the machine spirits of how to help them, though this is all after we help our brother's and get home, though with the communication network with the base we can send some of Kolinaisi's sons to occupy it so while we are away it won't gain some unknown tenets

Sorry for time between posts. Gonna work harder on this. There are going to be a lot of different POV posts for the rest of this thread in addition to what you have seen.

"Let's leave." You say, assuring the machine spirit that you will return sometime. This may be a good position to hold in the future.

"For the briefest moment, I almost attacked." Perturabo admits heading back to the ship he chose.

"Why is that?" You ask.

"I felt that you may be trying to send a signal, like if you continued barganining after all that had been done, I probably would have made a move quickly after. Though I think your plan was well executed."

Plan? Ehhh. You put install some tracking beacons and other software from your data slate to be able to find here again.

"To your credit this operation went exceptionally smooth." Roboute says, and you honestly aren't so sure about that.

"I worry." You say, and Roboute nods.

"Cap you better hurry back! There is a lot of stuff going on the scanners!"

You look at your brothers and your honor guard, and you quickly get to the ship.

Titans were walking. The great Martian Explorator "Tesla" one of the great prides of the Martian Navy and one of the greatest ship in humanities history was being loaded for one purpose. A purpose handed down by the fabricator general himself.

To You.

Your purpose and task, along with your elite team, was to find the one touched by the motor force itself- the chosen of the Omnissiah.

The task, daunting and secret enough, considering that the Omnissiah was crusading around the galaxy- if his 'chosen' was a reality, it would be the discovery of a primarch.

One whom would be more amicable to the Mechanicus. A primarch of logic and reason- one in touch with the motor force itself!

Data streams, intelligence intercepts and live feeds were being fed to you through your multiple cogitator units, servitors and hands as you oversaw the Tesla.
-
>>
>>5187590

You were in charge of this utmost secret operation. And now it was a race against time.

Your data intercepts showed that The Emperor had made contact with the theoretical primarch, and it was one of three potentially. Though which it was, made things more uncertain. The sanctified detection artifact would ring true in the presence of one touched by the Motive Force - or in theory a tachyon communicator. But now in addition to the titans that were on the move to the respective ships that would be joining the Tesla, you had to wait.

For there were others who would join you on this quest- those who were deemed critical for such an adventure, and you had to pick the last expert and their cadre.

This would be something far more unusual than what had happened before. Circumstances dictated this. You- Archmagos Philo Gamma Pi, would be in charge of this small and fast operation. You would have a chance for a primarch - nay the true heir to the Omnissiah and they that were touched by the Motive Force(!) to work hand in hand with Mars! For Mars to have a primarch that would be aligned with them instead of seeing the Martians as just another extension of the crusade but an important partner, and the Fabricator General chose you to for this mission.

You would not permit yourself to feel any fear of failure. This was your destiny! As the final experts came in, each had their own incredible backgrounds.

You would interview each one of them, but you would only pick one.

> Hester Aspertia Sigma-Sigma was the first to walk through the door, along with her small cadre off officers and experts. A Magos Domina of highest respect and master of cloning and soul merging- she would be one of the best experts at truly determining if this was someone who had been touched by the motive force.

> Quevoros Antiges Teh 1337, was an upcoming dominate who was one of the premiers in studying Archeotech, titans, and forgotten technology- he had been one of the students of Land, who could not be bothered to participate in this despite being asked by you personally, and could be a crucial component of finding the Archeotech ship that the Primarch had supposedly been using.

> Calliope Lindy Beta Orion, was one of the most troubling and mysterious names on this list. An experimenter and radical, they were always on the bleeding edge of tech research- to the point of their methods being questionable in how they conducted operations.

A waifu for Martin, and because I'm certain that they will think that Bob or Pert is the right prinarch because they are the logical ones, a way to confirm it would make our life easy.
By the way, the fabricator-general was secretly against the Emperor, and started the dark mechanicum he may be planning something to use us against Emps, so we should watch out.

You look at your list and after the interviews, you realize that you have come to a tie. They are both skilled- so rather than not having both, you take a member of the team's billet and put them under your crew staff, thus allowing for you take both Hester and Quevoros. With backgrounds such as those why wouldn't you?

You tell the two and they seem excited, and get their associated teams together.

Now for the hardest part, your initial selection

Where do you go first?

Intelligence readings make this a tricky situation.

Which one would the Motive Force's scion go to first?

"Old Man what crazy nonsense do you have me helping you with now?" Ravi asks you as politely as he has ever asked you anything.

"I am making your sons weapon system for your armor, and this is something I need a second person to help me with." You tell him.

"Why don't you use one of your automated machines? You seem to got plenty of those, and I don't really see how I would be of help with making Armor." Ravi tells you

"That's were your wrong. You know Kolinaisi well. His favorite colors, his strengths and weaknesses, if he would prefer this in his armor or not- and since it is a surprise for him I aint gonna go ruinin it by askin him." You tell Ravi as you pull the rack out containing the different systems

"What kind of Armor is my son getting?! This is enough to "

"Fight any damn thing that threatens him. Speaking of, I'll be right back I need a finishing touch." You say stepping outside. The Leviathan has been staying close, and it has been spooking the islanders. Granted, the Leviathan has agreed not to harm the locals, only agreeing that your and it's destiny will wait till the hour when your battle becomes obvious, as something has utterly changed destiny itself. As you step out it leaps out of the water.

And you sing in the old tongue. How many could do that now you wonder? Neoth never sang. The others? Maybe one still alive. The fact that it was one of the more difficult tasks to do without accidentally causing harm to yourself or others was another deterrent from learning it. Hopefully Kolinaisi was actually studying the damn word you gave him. Your life depends on it.

That get's it's attention immediately. It comes over effortlessly, it's gigantic size equaled by it's absurd graceful movement.
>>
>>5188515

"So you heard it too." The leviathan says, and in the stillness, there is something- something distant. Something that sounds like a legion of buzzing scratching and shrieking. An Endless depth of hunger. You hear it- but it is absurdly far, but you hear it. And it is heading this way.

"I hear it." And now you can't un-hear it.

"We will have to fight it when it arrives. It isn't as far as it seems. I see you are building again." It looks down at you

"I am. I actually need your help with building something." You say

"I am not leaving this form man of gold. Not even the champion of your kind could get me to, and I have no intention of doing thou a favor."

"No. I need a follicle." You say, pointing to one of the many aesthetic choices the leviathan makes.

" A follicle."

"Yes. It is to make armor and weaponry for "

"The one you seem to be amused by."

"The one that is touched by destiny."

"You are touched by destiny. The one that you do all these things for is naught but a piece in a game that if you wished you could be the player."

"You wanna give me a follicle or are we gonna bicker about this like a married couple?"

The leviathan makes a strange noise and sheds a few clips of material.

"See that wasn't so hard."

"You know what it takes to obtain soulforged metal. I expect to at least have some of it return to me in our battle." The leviatan says.

"Of course. I expect you to show me your best as well." You respond.

"Our fight will be legendary. I will still win." The Leviathan says

"You wish. Now go do what you do best and go scare all my pet projects." You say

"It isn't as fun as it used to be. Not with what is coming. It was a lot simpler before."

"Ya. Looks like we will have to fight what comes in order to have our battle."

"A rather disgusting thought. Siding with little more than a singing ape."

"How do you think I feel having to fight the Manifest Destiny of Unix?"

"I imagine you should feel great pride." And with that the leviathan left off.

"Does that thing always sound horrible when it speaks." Ravi says.

"Yuh." You look over.

"What is that?" Ravi asks.

"That- is metal that when outsiders inevitably come to visit, will be willing to do anything for." You say

"So we are turning it into Armor for my son?" Ravi asks

"Part of it, I need the rest of the goods to finish it, it won't be done till then. Ya a big man help an old man with that." You say.

"I have seen you move things with your mind old man, you think me a dummy or stronk like my son? Aint no way I can move that!" He says and you smile. You walk over and pick up one and begin walking in

"This metal is light as a feather!"

"And stronger than Adamantine, rarer than Auramite or Tellurite. It doesn't even occur in this galaxy naturally. Making it requires incredibly great sacrifice. " You say

"What kind of sacrifice?" Ravi asking the big man questions that got him to his post.
-
>>
"People literally have to die." You say.

"That is downright evil." Ravi says

"The wars that were once fought, were more evil than anything you could imagine at one point. Also the people have to choose to die, it don't work if they don't do it willingly." You say sighing, hoping that you are truly the last man to know that secret. You pause, knowing those that had died to make that kind of material. Where was it now? Scattered around the galaxy? Most of it was probably actually in the Leviathan, if it wasn't absorbed by other things. Even the living metal of the necrons, at least as far as your research went, was no match. The only metal that could survive a bolt from an Adriathic rifle.

"Must have been some war. Not to make light, but what do you need me for, Tia is- well, I think she's pregnant again. And she needs a lot of help lately." Ravi says and that makes your eyebrows shoot right off ya head.

"Wow. Congratulations big man! I wish the best of your child, if you need anything of me ask. But- what I need to know is what you think Kolinaisi will like best of these designs." You say bringing up a screen.

"How many of these can you make with this material?" He asks

"With resources, what isn't going into the normal armor- ehh" You pull up a resource manager

You have 10 points

>> Adriathiac fury gauntlets- attached to a backpack it would not only power the armor but allow for a decent range weapon, and still be good for using a weapon in melee. 5pts

>> Phase Boots- using unique archeotech, and your own personal skill, Kolinaisi would not only run faster, but be able to teleport line of sight 2pts

>> Technomantic Goggles/Helm - Theoretically it would allow an active interface that would allow interaction with every possible machine spirit and control over quite a bit- in addition to increased tracking, range finding, protection, data slate integration and a whole lot more. 2pts

>> Automated defensive countermeasures- Good luck fighting someone when you are constantly getting blasted with a plasma cutter. 3 pts

>> Power Claws - why ruin a classic design? Just lighter and better. 4pts

>> Functional wings - He loves to surf, so he'd probably love flying. 8 pts

>> Archeotech power and repair system integration - True Power Armor with repair capability, it would allow the armor to heal itself from most attacks, and empower the suit increasing Kolinaisi's capacities exponentially and able to grow with him 7

>> Light force shield - a very basic, but good force field. 1 pt

>> Knight Harness capacity - He may want to use one of those knights. And this would allow for his armor to function in one. 1 pt

>> Archeotech defense drone swarm - Can work as intelligence collection, a defensive or offensive weapon, scouting, protection or just something to entertain Erihapti 6pt

Not shure about this one anons seriously doubt they will get to Nuceri when we get there to help our brother, and if they go to macragge they will definitely pillage the lost tech at the facility we left for our brother, Olympia and they may see Perry as the "chosen one" with his ability to understand machines, and again Nuceria, they probably going to pillage its tech as well
Best choice is the Kolinaisi's home world because our sons are heading their and old man is their so should they think of anything traying anytging sneaky our folks can keep them in line, though worried about them coming in contact with "Manifest Destiny of Unix" And mistaking it as a physical incarnation of the Omnissiah, though with this Manifest Destiny of Unix having such a big ego doubt it with let them call it as such, feel like it would sooner destroy them for calling it something other than it's "tittle"
Though could like the worship?

Since we still have the big guy back home on the witches island

Speaking of witch, think once Kolinaisi gets home and probably meet all his sons he should go around the planet and create stronger ties with its other inhabitants like the witches and knights, and maybe taming some sea monster to remember the big deal we killed and not tame

I forgot to explain why I didn't pick the shield. It's because while whatever the old man could give would be AoT tier and very good, maybe even a portable void shield, I think that the refractor shield tech that the Imperium has does a good enough job, so we can get an iron halo or rosarius.
Meanwhile, being able to pilot a knight while using the power armor is some advanced tech that I don't know can be replicated or replaced
>>
If the titan control interface allows us to bypass needing pricepts/a primary pilot hard wired in to pilot a titan ill go for it, otherwise a shield is more general use and if replicated on our legions armour would greatly increase survivability of our marines.

It's going to be so fun stomping on Greenskins with a Big Man Mecha.

I don't care too much for the force field and weapons simply because Koli already has incredible agility and reaction time, basically allowing him to dodge like it's the fucking Matrix, and his Adraithic axe and fang daggers are already top-shelf. The only thing that could surpass that would be Perturbo building a masterwork.

As an aside, once we get everything cleared away, we should tell Pert to join us on De'lormosa and create whatever his heart desires. Or just surf an' chill on the beach. 'S all good brah.

"Onward to Nuceria! Onward to Glory! Our sacred quest for the Scion of The Motive Force cannot be denied!" Rang out from the command deck as the ships left dock.

On Mars the Fabricator General sat. Things were different. The 'Omnissiah' had become aloof and distant. While their acts and actions were great for all of mankind- he felt that promises were not kept, or put aside. Yet- here came this, suddenly and out of turn. As if a response. As if an answer to all the pleas. Not an answer- but a goal. It was like the old texts of the Cult. The Omnissiah would help those that helped themselves. The Mechanicum, had been working harder, and striving in it's conquests. This, would seem to follow certain aspects of this tradition, though which orthodox he was not sure even though he was the Fabricator General.

Some of the Omnissiahs children were truly blessed with his gifts for machinery. Yet- one touched by the Motive Force? Compared to Ferrus Mannus, Rogal Dorne or Vulkan? What would they be like? How would they view the galaxy? Would they prefer titans over ground legions? Would they be a canny knight commander? A brilliant naval strategist (necessary yet- saddening if it were true!) An inventor? A tinkerer? These possibilities were grand, all at once.

Maybe, things would be as they should be instead of as they once were! Maybe this was set in motion by the Omnissiah, a test of faithfulness? Had he been found wanting, and only his recent actions and advances leading to this path?

What was missing from this equation?

__

The schemer wanted to flip the table and the oldest would almost certainly allow it.

The table was all wrong! Something was ordered against them! Pieces that were carefully positioned for grand moves later were now moved elsewhere!

The shark, ever the menace was altering the very nature of everything's position! Upsetting the careful balance that had been in place for aeons!

This was not how it was to be!

WORSE-

THE SHADOW!

IT MOVED ACROSS THE BOARD ONCE MORE! It's subtle changes on the board, set free by the shark! Altering pieces, changing behaviors.

The path, once clear now confusing!

What was once changed by his own hand had been altered! THE GAME ITSELF ALTERED! HOW DARE IT.

-
>>
>>5190129
This speck of light! This Outsider! This being creating friction.

The eldest had already found a potential new piece, but even the shark was approaching dangerously close to predestined pieces! Back ups and strategems had to be called upon!

The youngest didn't seem to care- it's arrogance not realizing where the shark could go!

The slob, the blob, the filth. Your 'RIVAL' didn't seem to care, as if none of this mattered! As if this was how it should be! Not like his side of the board ever changed state anyways. Yet- the shark, if unleashed upon your rival would prove devastating! YES!

It's Medical Knowledge! It's skill! It's desire to cure the wounded and help others and it's raw HOPE FOR SOMETHING BETTER.

Alone that helped the schemer. The shark had hope- desire for a change, but it did so much damage! Yet aimed, it could devastate their opponent!

And the eldest wouldn't even know!

All it would take would be the right few nudges-

The noise.

The sound.

It was constantly approaching.

It disrupted play, but not much. Yet, but it would soon.

That- would be a powerful distraction if aimed right.

But first to aim the shark. But indirectly, yes. YES!. THE SLOB! If they touched a piece that the shark protected, or was aware of- yesss.

YES.

The schemer eye the one piece that worried you the most. It wouldn't be a piece for long, and was only a piece for a limited time Worse- once used, it would come back with such vengence and anger it could spell ruin for the player! The others didn't know that though- none of them cared! Why would they play such a piece if they did know? But, if they thought they schemer would play it, they might take it just to deny the plan. A simple ruse. Yes.

The schemer eye the piece greedily, and 'accidentally touch something next to the piece! YES. YES!

The slob looked greedily and then chided the schemer that he had to follow "ThE RuLeS!" and that a piece touched was a piece played! So the schemer moved something slightly different. A bit off course, maybe it would alter things a bit- but not as crucial as the rare piece that would be gone!

So the plague. The slob. Touched the rare shining piece.

And with it, changed things

Exactly. As. The Schemer. Planned

Your whole psychic might, which wasn't much to be honest just highly specialized these days thanks to your bodies condition, had to be focused on keeping the device working. It meant that you had to have another device rigged while you slept. It also meant you had to sleep.

Your whole time table was blown.

Kolinaisi would have to go directly to De'lormosa from Olympia, and he would have to route the Black Judges.

And it would be a race against time. Granted if some meds could get to you first, it may make things easier.

Maybe there was still time.

__

"Eyya Lad." The old man said over the comm and Kolinaisi immediately switched to private.

"What's wrong old man?"

"You got any cancer medicine on that med wing of yours?"

"Ya, wait. What's wrong?" You say passing by Frank in the hall, but quickly stop with your arm as your brothers stop behind you.

"My problem. It's spread. I need you to check the med files you have. In the wing." You grab Frank and run deadly fast. Roboute can hardly keep up. Perturabo, shockingly as you hadn't raced him yet, is approaching close behind.

The run to the med wing is short.

"What do we need?"

"Tell me what is there. My cancer is, a known factor. Hear Cancer with complications of Thymic Carcinoma"

"THATS TWO SEPERATE CANCERS OLD MAN. TWO. HOWDYA DO THAT?" You shout angrily as the comm makes a weird noise and a shoe hits you in the head (Somewhat painfully) attached with a note and vial of blood.

"THATS HOW. FLUENCY IN ENUNCIA AINT FREE. " The old man coughs. Damn him! How could he make it worse by using it again?! Why didn't he tell you these specifics sooner? Did he just think you would be on time for everything? Damn him, damn him damn him! Now you know why ya da was always tough on him. For however smart he was he sure could be an idio

"Ya. I am an idiot. I know. Use the blood sample. Run it through that fancy toy ya got. Give me a rundown." He asks his kind voice returning.

It's not pretty.

Both the cancers have some how become synergetic. A simple injury complicated this. If once of the cancers got too close to the heart, whatever his device was doing wouldn't be able to stop it.

However there were three ready treatments and one cure that needed a bit more research, but would be a bit more effective.
>>
>>5190144

"I got three treatments that will help you, and a cure that needs a bit of research on my part." You say

"We don't have time for that just get me at treatment that will work."

__

>> Pancea: Will effectively treat both cancers and put them into remission long enough to have the cure be done up when you get back home. The rub is, it would probably mess with his body at this age and could make recovery very difficult

>> Rad treatments: which would probably help with some of what the Old Man needs anyways for what he is doing and will allow that material you got for him to get to him quicker. It wouldn't be as effective as pancea, but recover would be easier

>> Hunter Surgery: Tiny machine spirit hunter probes trained to kill these cancer cells would go in and do their job. The problem is that the little guys sometimes get over-zealous and attack good cells compromising the immune system and causing pain

>Hunter Surgery: Tiny machine spirit hunter probes trained to kill these cancer cells would go in and do their job. The problem is that the little guys sometimes get over-zealous and attack good cells compromising the immune system and causing pain.

Once we get back home we can just yell at the nanomachines to knock it off.
>>
I am sorry I have been so behind lately. The dream job requires a lot of dedication in the current environment. And an old Army Buddy I haven't seen in a decade is in town.

Also we are about to get to a turning point in the quest where I have to do a lot of going through notes.
>>
>>5190148
Good thing we are sending some of our people back to help Angron- it menas Frank and Tybro can offload the minerals for Martin we already got in De'lormosa, get volunteers and go break the siege, and that we have our bothers to delegate tasks.

Anyway, for the treatment, Google teels me that both heart and thymic cancer are incredibly rare and dangerous - since Nurgle touched it I imagine they changed form benign to malign. Rad will not work, the old man definaly already tried it since it's the most basic treatment.
Bith of them are linked to the circulatory system, one being the heart and the other the white blood cells - so the nanomcahines are liable to start killing other parts of the body, and his immunesystem is alreafy compromised.
So I will vote for Panacea, since he is already planning to remake his body the recovery is meaningless, and for the pain, well, it's something he would have to deal with anyway.

this anon >>5190269 convinced me.
>>
>>5190323
Well, my analisys is based on a Google search, and it depends entirely if Martin already tried rad treatment. I'm going off the idea that since he is the one that taught us medicine and is a biology expert, of course he would have.
But if he had a brainfart due to the pain and forgot, it's probably the best option to simpy buy time, simply because it's the tech that isn't sci-fi so we know how it works.
These diagnosis updates always get me anxious and doubting myself.

>Pancea: Will effectively treat both cancers and put them into remission long enough to have the cure be done up when you get back home. The rub is, it would probably mess with his body at this age and could make recovery very difficult
Once we get back home let's do the Hunter Surgery with Kolinaisi dealing with any machine spirit. This will eliminate and alleviate any complication caused by the pancea until the old man can get his new body

While the trap answers are rare, there are sometimes 100% correct answers and you pointed out exactly why in this one.

Your dedication towards research of this, despite it not being absurd in difficulty, shows this.

I haven't awarded one yet, but since you have done this on every medical I have done, and explained it- I am pulling a page from other quest runners.

You are awarded 1 fate point.

I don't do rolls, but I will let you use this to alter an outcome .

I will post more tomorrow.

After the giant of a man who is frantically working at blinding speeds puts you down.

You vomit.

He doesn't notice. Neither do his brothers. You clean up the vomit with the nearby mop. Their talking is frantic. The Old Man, whom really wasn't that close to you, is dying. Again? Isn't someone that old always dying? Tybro and Charon peak in on you and you shrug.

Then Arona peaks in on the opposite side. She looks at what she is doing then grins.

Tybro smirks and lets out a soft chuckle.

You finish mopping, and Kolinaisi looks to three of you.

"Oh good! Ya'll here! These pills, along with-" Kolinaisi presses some buttons and noise occurs down the hall that sounds like the refiner is working something

"Those ores that are being processed are to go with you and to be given to the old man." Kolinaisi tosses you a bottle of pills with comically large print with the following 'doctor' note 'FOR OLD MAN: TAKE TWICE DAILY AFTER MEAL. DO NOT HAVE WITH ALCHOHOL. NOTE ALL SIDE EFFECTS. DO NOT BE A DUMMY AND HIDE SYMPTOMS'

"You made it extra large print so he could read it better?" You comment.

"Let him know that he may be farsighted but we both know he nearsighted." Kolinaisi says- whatever the hell that joke is. Tybro chuckles.

"Anything else cap?" You ask

"No mate. Depart with all haste, you have everything you need right?" And you put guns, supplies, armor, and tools and food, plus anything that is required for the navigator and astropath. Both of which seemed a bit down that they were tasked to this. Tybro brought cards and a few other items.

"I reckon. Charon? Tybro?" You ask

"I am good." Charon says and Tybro just nods.

"Hurry." Kolinaisi says and you nod. And as the three of you gather up, Arona side steps you just quick enough to catch you off guard and plant a kiss on your cheek.

"I'll meet up with you when we get to Nuceria." You say

"You'd better!" Arona says.

"It-- It's been a wild few weeks, but Arona, I am " and before you get your thoughts out she kisses you again

"I know. Me too. Go. You got a lot to do!" Arona says.

The three of you race to what has been dubbed by some of the crew as 'The Slip Ship' a strange looking, smaller warp capable ship that Peter tu- Perturbat- Perturabo? Found. It doesn't look that human for a ship. It doesn't look ganth. It looks something weird. It's a big Delta Wing. And as you approach Rongo smiles.

"Thank the frickin spirits! You takin that ship off our hands?" Rongo says

"Ya, jeeze, with the mokka and all the knights this place is tight." You say looking at the crammed hangar."

"Ya and that damn slip ship is taking up a lot of real estate." Rongo points to the ship that UR is herding goats off of.

"What do we know about the ship?" You ask

"Not a damn thing! Other than what was written down." Rongo says. You look at the slip as the final bit of gear of yours is loaded on to the ship.
>>
>>5191236
Written in beautiful handwriting is the following,
'Perturabo's Note:

Ship Class: Recon/ high speed transport / decapatation strike ship
Ship capacity: Warp enabled, High Speed, Cloaking device, stealth
Weapons: One Torpedo launcher, one 'unknown cannon' Electronic Warfare and Jamming suite
Storage: Up to 20 people 10 people comfortably.
Additional notes: Ships creation date is unlisted, only noted service record is 10,000 years ago.

"You write this Rongo?" You say and he laughs.

"Get you!" He says waving you on

As you get on, The Navigator and Astropath have taken up little suites. There is a tiny bridge and a few areas for bunks.

"Are we it?" You ask

"Nah, Roboute sent a bit of back up and didn't tell anyone." Charon says as two legionarres hop on the ship

"Your captain okayed it, and our le-" One speaks and the other hands a note in Kolinaisi's handwriting a note for you

'Frank,

They can come too.

Stay alive, your family now.

Kolinaisi.'

You look at the note and that's quite a bit to take in.

"Yeah. They good." You say

"Settle in lads, this is gonna be a crazy adventure with us three." Charon says

"We guessed that." One of the legionarres says.

"Who is pilot?" The Navigator- Eliana? You aren't quite sure there name steps out and everyone points at you.

"I guess that's me." You say.

"You have clearance to go, do you know where we are going?" She asks.

"Nuceria, then De'lormosa." You say

"You got a star chart or something to go with that?" She asks and you pass your data slate, which is basically a lot of copies of Kolinaisi's data and Meera's data

"That'll work. Let me know when you are clear to jump and I will throw on the Gellar Fields and we can get out of here." She says

"You all are forgetting something." Tybro opens his mouth to speak, a rare occasion."

"Oh what's that?" The Navigator asks.

"Ship doesn't have a name. We can't take off without a name." He says.

"Well the acting pilot is captain of this ship so they technically name it." The Navigator says and you look down at the ship registry name and the field saying 'ship name here'

"Jerah, inform our navigator it's time for us to take off." You say.

"We have a lot to plan for."

"That much is obvious. Roboute says.

"Who is this old man to you?" Perturabo asks.

"He is a mentor and friend. He is also one of the teachers of the island, he teaches many of the island youth how to do various things, salvage tech, what plants and herbs are healing, though honestly he seems a bit daft at times. He was sitting on the most advanced technologies in the galaxy. Though, I feel he probably was waiting for the right time to use it. Though now my planet is thriving instead of clinging on to survival." You say.

"If this 'Old Man' built some of the technology that you gave us, his life is assuredly worth this kind of trouble." Roboute says.

"He did." You respond.

"They said, you had a legion of sons. Does that mean we all have them?" Perturabo asks.

"I guess. I didn't ask our creator that." You say and Perturabo smiles.

"I have a lot to ask them, do you think he will communicate to us as he did with you?" Perturabo seems very hopeful. You then pause for a second and toss Perturabo the comm.

"You are really smart, if you can figure out a way to replicate this and you can theoretically contact him whenever you want." You say and Perturabo looks invigorated.

"I will put my all into it. Among the other tasks that you have given me." Perturabo says. You may be giving him a lot to deal with, and you are not honestly sure anyone can replicate a tachyon communicator, and he studies it. He then pauses.

"Do you have a method of collecting Tachyons?" Perturabo asks.

"That's the problem getting something going faster than light without using the warp is kind of hard, and I am not actually sure, maybe the old man will know, or maybe we could try to figure it out together." You say and perturabo nods.

"We have a lot to do brothers. Where do we begin?" You ask.

Perturabo, Kolinaisi and Roboute bonded quite a bit during this trip.

Prioritize which ones are most important.

Going over the medical issues and reverse-engineering the captured ships can and should be done with Perturabo's help. Perty knows almost everything about everything mechanical, so he should be a great help with both, and it'll make him like us more.

Yeah. I usually do those late at night hence all the errors. I mostly have the tags correct. I will do better.

Trazyn walked into the room, he was worried. He was an obscure Phaeron on an obscure world, known for it's galleries and the collection he had so carfeuly crafted. When the Silent King returned, it shook the standing order. They were re-awoke. Not reunited. They needed proof.

Orks, the bastardized de-evolution of the Krork were something that didn't scare any dynasty.

The Aeldari? Yes, there talents were fierce before, but their own hubris destroyed what empire they had.

These overgrown apes? The Old Ones, theoretically made them to know the language of creation. It's doubtful enough of them knew it for it to make a difference. Yet, their forms- could be used.

The one you just fought, this Kolinaisi- his body, his physical form- was what Necrons should strive for as a physical bioform once that goal could be achieved.

The Rangda? Monsters in service to the Slougth, a worse species yet nothing that could unify them.

Then there were the Hrud Vermin, but easy to exterminate now that there were immortal forms. More of a trivial oddity.

No. The horrors from the outerdark. Outside the galaxy. The Beasts. Fleets of them. When the Silent King returned he was able to quickly get them to consider unification- only under the auspicies of these finds. In this Trazyn had been successful. Not just the corpses of the beasts. The live one.

The captain of these humans, this Kolinaisi, ever honorable and putting those he cared about above what he had found- had neglected that which he had captured. Trazyn's threats and distraction had allowed him to swap out the powerful psychic beast that had been captured on this station with something else. This would unify them. For the beast were psychic and if what he suspected was true- they were capable of corrupting flesh forms.

There were goals that needed to be accomplished for the race.

--
>>
>>5194958
1. Ending the Flayer Virus Curse. This was being done by multiple crypteks, and the finest researchers, and was something that had become quite the rally cry for certain groups. The damage what one C'tan could do when destroyed was a lesson for every necron.

2. Unification. The Dynasties were in a phase of cold war. Not everyone was eager to join the silent king. Imotek, Zandhrek and a few others had created a minor confederacy thinking that the Silent King was lying, and would lead them once more down the road to damnation. The Human, had given you the very tool for this and it made you feel a bit of joy, outsmarting the powerful human. Though- perhaps these genetic form humans, would be a good test point for goal number 3.

3. Return to Flesh. Biotransference was a mistake. It cost the souls of the necrons, it robbed you and your kind of so much. Before the Silent King over-rode the memory protection protocols you thought you had been dragged into biotransferrence. No. You went willingly. Like untold others. Seeking a cure. Now that your bio forms had been destroyed, and the war over the old ones gone and forgotten new bioforms were being researched. This 'Human' if it could be called that- had preformance aspects that your recording, would be vital towards creation of a new form.

The walk was long. You were not permitted to teleport into the throneroom of the Song of Oblivion. You had to take the grand walk, past thousands of courtisians and those who's stations were greatly higher than yours. You were fortunate. You had awoke, like many others, before the silent king returned. However, you, unlike the rest, had decided that your culture must be restored. This gave you great favor with the silent king.

Let them whisper.

Let them talk.

As you approach the throneroom, you can hear music played of the old times. Before the biotransference. You didn't really like it much. At least not this song.

Upon entrance to the great throne room, the music stops.

The Final Triarchy looks upon you. They are pleased. If the silent king found you first, you would be up there on that dais- but he didn't. And for the better. If not for your tenacity and determination to restore the necrontyr- this scouting party would not be found.

"THE SILENT KING WELCOMES YOUR RETURN, TRAZYN- OVERLORD OF THE NIHILIAK DYNASTY- YOU HAVE RETURNED WITH A LIVE SPECIMEN OF THE DREADED BEAST OF THE OUTER DARK." Hapthatra proclaimed.

" YOUR GUILE AND CLEVERNESS ALLOWED YOU TO RETURN WITH A LIVE SPECIMEN, YOUR GAMBIT AS SHOWN TO US THROUGH LIVE FEED PROVED YOU WERE ABLE TO SALVAGE YOUR MISSION DESPITE COMPLICATIONS." Mesophet declared.
>>
>>5194965
The Silent King expected better. He was all but mocking you. He was saying you were a coward and that you should have struck down your opponents, captured one, and still maintained honor. Yet- the Silent King chose you. You needed to show him that you should be in the Triarchy. Not these vapid drones that only could say yes. Your glare upon the two caused some silence.

"If you had been truly observant, you would have known I gained control to access of all systems." You say pulling up various security camera footage, showing the day to day life of the humans, and this Kolinaisi.

"Look at their forms. You can see the way their bodies act, their every action deliberate and purposeful, not knowing how long they would live, yet notes of longer life linger. Their forms, primal and primative- yet familiar when we look at the more advanced forms.
My mission was not to burn bridges. Mine was to recover a specimen of the great devourer, the biological nightmare that threatens to eat all biomass. Here it is, multiple advanced forms. You asked me personally to not create enemies, I did not. I created a potential ally in the future, one that knew we were not so stupid to be trifled with. An Ally that may give us back the rest of the shards of something we once lost- with it's absurd transcendent AI attachment. And if they don't wish, to they are easy enough to track and obtain it. If I returned now, I could salvage the relationship even further. " You say causing some commotion among Szeras and even the Silent King. But there was one missing.

One should be here.

Damn Him.

"WELCOME ORIKAN-"

---

UR snaps immediately and has every weapon you have seen plus several you haven't trained on something in a shadow, and you sense it too. Something is emitting electricity, and something isn't using standard Mana. Worse- you can sense something wrong with time itself, Perturabo, seems to be looking at one of the various alarms that are going off.

Then the being steps out.

It looks like Trazyn. Kind of. It has one eye, a weird cloak and it honestly looks like some bizarre metal flower. It would look comical save for how it makes you feel slightly unnerved.

"Hail, Rua-Rua, Kolinaisi, Kaiko Wahtiri. Son of Ravi. Primarch of the Eleventh Legion. Commandant of Something Fierce." The being says in the most formal tone you have ever heard in your entire life. The politeness is almost grating.

"Captain, another Necron has utilized webway access to board our ship" UR states and you nod.
>>
>>5194972
" I come in peace. I Orikan, would like to humbly apologize for the actions of Trazyn of the Nihiliak dynasty. He becomes over-zealous in his actions quite quickly. He saw an opportunity to raise his status, he didn't seem to mind how, and he took it." The being says.

"So most of your species is not so ambitious?" You ask, knowing that something about this one isn't quite right.

"Hardly any approach Trazyn in his ambitions and desires. No. I came here to let you know, he stole one of your prisoners, not the one human mind you- but the other beast. He swapped it out with, an ork? I am not sure. He seeks to help our kind, and it can lead to some disputes." This being, Orikan says.

"So you seek to apologize, while noble his actions were quite severe." You are surprised that any xenos would go to this kind of length for such actions.

"I recognize that. So I have liberated something human that he owned as a sign of good faith." And he hands out a small trinket, that looks fairly strange and ancient to be certain.

"What is it?" You ask.

"It was labeled under Mk I Tachyon Trap. Quite fascinating that humans turned to warp travel despite having means not to." He says.

"Why?" Roboute asks for you and Orikan looks over.

"I try to predict the best possible outcome for my species, and for this galaxy as a whole. For that I need you, I need you three- I need humanity to recognize the threat that the beings you slew today pose a significant threat. Something scared them- they come this way now, and they seek to eat all biomass in this galaxy. When you meet him your creator, let him know the threat that these beasts cause." Orikan says

"Ok, that's fair mate, but how do you think he will respond to you?" You ask.

" I cannot say that. I cannot say how my own king will respond. However, he chose to communicate first. To warn you of this dire threat.

"Y'all are metal. You have no biomass- from what your saying you could ride out that fight and win." You say pointing out the obvious

We weren't always as such. We were once like you. We were mortal. Our lives preciously short, cursed by our own stars and genetics. Despite my warnings, our kind made bargains, we made pacts, and we sold our souls for immortal forms. We were tricked. We became slaves to beings we couldn't comprehend. My kind have been trying to have flesh and feeling once again. This Orikan seems, emotional, if that could be true. It then hands you an odd object.

"This is a data crypt. It's a mere copy, but it is the story of our kind. I give this to you to understand our goals."

"Thank you? What do you intend now?" You ask.

"I shall leave in you peace. I cannot return the beast that was taken, I am sorry, but I can give you some of it's genetic material which you may have wished to study."
The being says handing, what looks like a plastic bag of flesh of it and some vials of blood or fluid.

"Depart in peace then. And please, stop just teleporting on to my ship. It's quite rude and disturbing." You say.

"Oh, I didn't teleport in. I came in around the same time Trazyn did, manually. I will however teleport out. In the future if you wish to correct this, maybe check for tracking devices that my kind would employ. And I do ask, to please consider what Trazyn asked about the object you found- that cube, is quite powerful. But please survive. You will experience many tests, and you three in particular need to survive. Trust each other." The being says, melds into the shadows and departs.

"Brother this will never happen again as I have already discovered a way to prevent them from teleporting aboard and may be able to create a way to deal with their metal forms." Perturabo says very calmly, as if he would have been punished for something.

"It's not your fault. This day keeps getting stranger." You say.

"Perhaps now is a good time to talk to our creator and or father again." Roboute suggests.

And it aint that bad of an idea.

"As you can see, Trazyn and I were able to magnificently deal with the human." Orikan.

The only reason he was considered a diviner is because he would abuse his chronomancy so much that he could 'see the future' by bending it to his will through his stubborness.

"YOU TWO HAVE DONE WELL THIS CONTINUED PARTNERSHIP, IS A GREAT BOON FOR THE GREATER GLORY OF ALL DYNASTIES." Hapthatra announced. You knew the truth.

"Why do you keep doing this to me." You say in a very silent tone, that only Orikan can hear.

"The best revenge, I have discovered, is one-upping you at every turn. Making your every triumph a consolation prize. Furthermore, it actually is helping our kind." He responds.

"Whatever I did that deserves this, I cannot imagine." You respond, not knowing what you may have done on another timeline that could have caused such unrivaled hatred.
>>
>>5194977

"Oh you deserve far worse, but I have warmed up to you over the times of doing this, realizing you are a better ally/rival than enemy." Orikan responds.

"What happened last time?" You ask

"Quite a bit. Though this time you are far better as an ally." Orikan says

"How many times have we stood in front of the silent king?" You ask a bit more cuttingly as the Triarchs go over their various flatteries

"At this time? This is my fifth attempt. However, normally this sort of thing happens 11,000 years from now. The timeline changed, and it wasn't my fault. But I noticed it. More so than anyone else as I was moving through time as it changed." Orikan casually mentions as if breaking the time-stream is as easy as breaking a common twig.

"Well good to know, hopefully there aren't a sixth and a seventh." You quip.

"I agree with that." He states.

"Still, that Kolinaisi, makes for a clever opponent."

"Let's hope that the humans burn through the galaxy first and fight off the devourers long enough that they can become irrelevant like the fallen aeldari" Orikan states.

"If we could only be so lucky that they do the hard work for us." You respond

"There could be a way to do ensure that." Orikan states

"Oh?"

Assist Orikan to the best of Trayzn's ability, but still fuck with him in minor ways.

Make it petty too like rearranging the things in his museum or something.

I'm choosing this because I find their relationship funny. And Orikan will either savescum or plan for Trazyn to be a dick, so it will lead to minor annoyances anywah.

that kinda pettiness is perfectly in character.

Any other Necron would suck it up and cooperate. Not Trazyn though, when someone screws with him (Inquistors, Orikan) he is petty enough to screw with them.

Necron POV storyline unlocked

He admits that he has undermined you time and time again. That he has intentionally changed reality, for this. This kind of dedication is admirable. However, he has been helping you- despite being a rival. You have been doing well, in despite of him, doing his chronomancy trick.

"You are right. We should put aside our squabble. Together we can reclaim our proper place in the galaxy, and maybe our forms." You respond, and Orikan looks absolutely shocked.

"You do not jest?" Orikan asks.

"No. The eyes of the triarchy are upon us. We should be up there next to the silent king. Not those sycophants." You respond.

"That is a dangerous opinion. But one I agree with." He responds.

"Good. We shall put this aside and work together." You say somewhat louder than normal, which some of the others hear with some level of disbelief.

"I concur." Orikan agrees.

Still. He deserves a little bit of minor pettiness. You agreed to work with him, and work towards the greater will of the dynasty.

Not be his best friend.

You can still work with him and slightly annoy him. He does have to answer for his transgressions.

You pull out the comm.

"Epsilon. Mu. This is Kappa. We gotta talk."

"Was your mission a success Kappa? How did the others perform? Surely something else happened, with this most recent update." Epsilon says.

"The others performed well. This is different." You say

"What exactly is different?" Epsilon says

"Metal men, called Necrons invaded the asteroid base and my ship. They, didn't commit to combat though." You say

"Necrons? Are you sure?" Mu gets on the line

"And they didn't commit to combat?" Epsilon responds

"No. They wanted corpses of a dead xenos, which we have samples of and some bodies of. They also wanted something else, but I out manuevered them and managed to keep that as well." You say.

"Good lad." Mu says quickly

"A dead xenos? What do we know of it?" Epsilon asks

"It scares the Necrons. The view it as a threat to existence. They say it comes from outside the galaxy to feed on all biomass." You say.

"Mu?" Epsilon asks

"Ya Epsilon."

"Are you familiar with such a form of life?" Epsilon asks.

"I'd have to research it. Though if it is what I think it is- then it's gonna be a big problem. And bigger problems will follow." Mu says.

"I see. I imagine"

"Ya Epsilon. I am already lookin into it. Kappa, when you get the chance you may have to send a sample." Mu says.

"It's good to see that somethings haven't changed. Kappa- how did you proceed?"

"They teleported out, both times. I didn't attack them, though, I did calmly and carefully, scan their technology. I make sure to record and track everything." You say.

"Careful. Some of the Xenos technology goes down a dark road. Some of it is impossible to create, other times it is inferior to our own past creations. Technology- is something we will have to discuss in depth." Epsilon says, in the same way your father does when he comes upon a complex issue that would take a while or something he didn't want to discuss about how stupid it was in public. Something when they don't have time. Meaning

"Do you have much time Epsilon?" you ask

"You did catch me at quite the awkward moment. I have but precious little time, though the time I talk to you and Rho I am happy to have. Unless you have other updates"

Perturabo looks at you.
