"Alright Rai, lead me to Lelouch." you briefly considered using your phone to communicate with Lelouch, but... there was probably a reason that he didn't want to use his mobile to communicate with you. Maybe he just considered it too suspicious to do such a thing right now. While it was extraordinarily unlikely anything would be traced back to either of you from a simple text, the Britannian authorities would be on high-alert right now. Even though their cybersecurity divisions were pretty damn dreadful at their jobs, even broken clocks were right twice a day, and it would only take one relatively high ranking Britannian to get suspicious in order to launch an investigation, and then Lelouch would be screwed, and you'd be taken down with him.

"Alright. Follow me." You noticed that there was... something strange with Rai... almost a little bit unnatural to the way he was talking... it was probably nothing, but you couldn't help but notice the point of discrepancy behind how he spoke before and his tone now. In fact... as far as you knew, Lelouch didn't know Rai at all, so why on Earth would he think it was a good idea to use him as a messenger, unless...!

You realized just why Rai of all people was here, Lelouch wasn't just using Rai as a messenger to get you to meet him, but he was using the boy as a way to test his Geass! It wasn't exactly a nice thing to do to somebody for no reason... and you would've much preferred if Lelouch had used his Geass on him to instead attempt to overcome his amnesia so you could find out about the boy's past, but you supposed it would have to remain a mystery for now. Something would probably end up coming up about it at some point... probably.

While you pondered more about the mystery that was Rai, you followed him through the halls of Ashford academy, you supposed that checking out your new resources courtesy of Clovis would have to wait, and you'd need to find out what Lelouch seemed to believe was so urgent. Though if he was under the impression that he'd just be able to keep summoning you through brainwashed students he was using his Geass on, you'd need to inform him otherwise... and then maybe give him a secure communicator as well. In fact, maybe it would be a good idea to give one to CC too, she was in on this too now

Eventually, you made your way back to Lelouch, and he was alone in his room, pacing nervously back and forth. Rai swiftly left you and CC with Lelouch, though Lelouch didn't address you for a moment, even though he must've noticed your arrival by now... there must've been something bothering him a great deal.
>>
"Uh... what's up, Lelouch?" You decided to break the silence, somewhat annoyed at your half-brother's decision to just pace about the room instead of address you, even after sending Rai to fetch you. "Your little experiment with your Geass worked by the way, you can in fact order people to accomplish tasks like that... though why Rai?" You asked Lelouch if there was any specific reason behind his decision to use Rai and he finally stopped pacing, turning to you.

"He was the first person I found loitering about, so I just decided to use him. Is there a problem?" You just shrugged, not really caring one way or the other, Rai might be of some interest to you, but you didn't particularly mind that Lelouch had ordered him to take on an errand like that. "We do have a problem though, and it's nothing to do with Rai." Lelouch pointed to a TV screen, pressing the play button, and you frowned as you saw the breaking news report that Lelouch had paused.

"Nobody was expecting it, but it seems that both his highness Prince Schneizel el Britannia, as well as his two sisters, Princess Cornelia li Britannia and Princess Euphemia li Britannia have decided on a surprise trip to Area 11!" The news report flashed up with a few images of the royal entourage. "That's right, completely unannounced, our Area has been graced by the presence of the Prime Minister of Britannia! We can only speculate what he might be here for!"

"Ah." You let out a brief sound as you looked at the TV screen. "But... how? It's barely been any time at all!" Really, you knew that things were going to start happening rapidly around you now, but... this was too fast!

"It's been long enough for word to get to Britannia, and for our siblings to enter Area 11 on the fastest jet they have available. But the question is... why Euphemia and Cornelia too?" Lelouch wondered aloud, and you thought you knew the answer.

"It's obvious. Clovis' resignation as Viceroy is going to happen sooner rather than later, it looks like Schneizel has had enough of his failures... or he's suspicious about the report... but not even I could've predicted that he'd start to act so quickly..." You knew Schneizel quite well, this was clearly meant as some sort of preemptive strike. It wouldn't be difficult for him to find out that Clovis was attempting to hide something from him if they were to speak, after all. "I..." You frowned. "I imagine that Euphemia is to be installed in his place..."

"Damn!" Lelouch hit a wall with a bunched up fist. "If Euphemia is in charge of the country, then-!" It seemed like Lelouch had realized it as well.
>>
"The dissent of the country won't be as great as it would otherwise be. I know." Euphemia was something like a secret weapon for Britannia, your sister had a wonderful reputation, even among a good deal of the native population of the vanquished Japan. It was a result of years of Britannian propaganda aiding her image, though... in the case of Euphemia, the image that had been crafted for her by the media was truly what she was actually like. "Clovis... he was utterly hopeless at running this area, and his flailing about only served to make the planned integration of Japan that much harder." But with somebody like Euphemia involved at the top level, you had no doubt that the time you had left to capitalize on the people's anger would shrink very quickly. It wasn't that she was some sort of mastermind schemer, or that she excelled at manipulating people... it was that Euphemia exuded a sort of genuine honesty that was impossible to ignore.

"Right... we should have at least a few days before anything becomes official... but that leaves us with another problem... Cornelia. What is she doing here as well? Euphemia, I could understand as the diplomatic replacement for Clovis, but... Cornelia excelled in warfare!"

"Escorting Euphemia, perhaps?" You guessed, not knowing either. "As far as I know, she's still in the midst of her campaign against the last pockets of rebellion in the Middle East, though the war is effectively already won." You put your hand on your chin as you started to ponder the potentialities. "Or maybe... a temporary military advisor for her sister? They do still have a rebellion that she needs to deal with, and for as endearing as Euphemia is, I can't imagine that the most extreme of the terrorists will be willing to listen to reason." It made sense if Euphemia was to be installed as Clovis' replacement and Cornelia was only around in order to crush any pockets of resistance that might still remain in Area 11... after your disappearance those years ago, she had always been far more protective of Euphemia.

"In most cases, that's what makes them terrorists in the first place." Lelouch shrugged. "As much as I dislike having to do it, we might have to manufacture trouble for Euphemia in order to prevent too much of the population growing too accepting of the Britannian takeover." You'd dislike having to do it as well, but... so long as Euphemia or Cornelia weren't hurt, you'd go along with that idea. This was bigger than both you and Lelouch, and it was bigger than how you felt about your sisters too. You didn't know what the secret that was being held by Britannia was, but you were certain that it was of greater importance than any single person.
>>
"Fine. But... do you have any idea how long we have before they make any announcements or changes? I'd suggest... maybe 2... 3 days? They can't just immediately send Clovis packing after what happened today, otherwise it would create a public perception that the Shinjuku Ghetto purge was related to him." Of course the media was already attempting to change the narrative in order to blame the terrorists for what happened. Claiming that the deaths came as a result of the terrorists stealing and using a Britannian Chemical Weapon, and not that Clovis attempted to order the deaths of every single person living in multiple city blocks because he's a total jackass.

"Probably about that long, but we should work on the assumption that until he leaves the country, the one in control of the country is Schneizel directly." Lelouch grit his teeth. Schneizel's skills as a leader were pretty incredible, and his genius rivaled both your own as well as Lelouch's. It was entirely possible that Schneizel would actually be able to catch on to you and Lelouch, despite how unlikely it felt.

"Of course. So... that means we need to lay low for a few days. Maybe make full contact with that terrorist cell?" After all, if you could get them on your side, you'd have a group of underlings who'd do anything they were told to do, so long as they were of the belief that what they were being told to do was in line with their beliefs.

"Good idea, but... I think we should each have an alias, as well as an outfit to conceal our true identities." Lelouch knew the danger in not hiding his face, and you nodded... the armored suit you had been working on was able to hide your identity, as well as resist small arms fire pretty incredibly... perhaps you should finally work on finishing it up and then give a version of it to Lelouch as well? You couldn't imagine what Lelouch's idea of a disguise would be without you. Your brother had practically 0 engineering or technological skill at all, so you couldn't even begin to imagine how foolish he'd end up looking. "We should also finalize our aliases names... I will go by the name Zero, to signify that I am outside the control of the Britannia number system. A figure who the people of the world can see is able to resist the apparent omnipotence of the empire." Melodramatic as always, Lelouch... well, maybe something like that could be amusing, sometimes? As for your own name, you'd call yourself...

>Null, to show that you weren't simply outside of Britannia's system, but something impossible for it to comprehend.

Do inform him of the good success of the presentation for the Yeoman. We might need sometime to spend for the company now, but once is ready we should see a good income for both Ashford and us.
Welcome back.
I wonder what Sebastian will say when he sees just what Lelouch has in mind for a
disguise. I recon he is still kind of bothered about the Zero effort on his name and body appeareance, has an academy student in a recently conquered foreign country.

"My alias...?" You took a while to think about just what the best name for yourself should be, if Lelouch was going by the alias of Zero, you'd need to think of something with a similar sense of dramatic bravado to it... "Hmm..." You didn't quite know what the best name for yourself would be, but... eventually, you decided. "Omega. The one who'll bring an end to the shadows ruling Britannia." Zero and Omega... in a way, the two of you could be called the beginning, and the end. The number... or rather concept of Zero, representing the start of the rebellion you and Lelouch would organize, and the name Omega representing the end goal you had in mind for Britannia. You would be the one to bring about the end of Britannia as it currently exists. The only end goal that such a bloated and corrupt system could reach... destruction.

"Omega... huh? I thought I had a flair for the dramatic, but... I really wasn't expecting a name like that from you, Sebastian... I was expecting something... " Lelouch hesitated to finish his sentence. You knew what he was going to say, and you sighed. Lelouch knew you well, true, but... he didn't know you that well. He knew just how intelligent you were, though he also seemed to believe that just because of your intelligence, you were incapable of having any sort of fun.

"More basic and functional?" You shrugged. "Just because I prefer to solve things quickly and in few words, it doesn't mean that I want to be called something boring too, Lelouch. Besides, if we are to start a resistance against Britannia, it would be best if we both retained an aura of mystery around ourselves." Being mysterious would not only infuriate the Britannians attempting to discern your true identity to no end, but it would also increase the mystique of the terrorist movement you were scheming to create.

"Agreed, not only to prevent our true identities from becoming known, but also in order to maximize our... well, our public appeal. It wouldn't exactly be possible for us to start a rebellion among the Japanese without hiding our true identities, would it?" Of course, if two Britannian students, who were in truth missing members of the Britannian Imperial Family were found to be the true leaders of an anti-Britannian rebellion, it would be impossible to truly gain support. Almost everyone who saw either of you would cease to believe that you had any moral justification in your actions, and would instead choose to believe that you were simply acting out of your own interests, intending to use the people of Japan in an attempt to launch a coup against Britannia as a whole.
>>
"Well... is that all you wanted to tell me about then? Nothing else going on?" Knowing that Euphemia was likely soon to take over as the viceroy of Japan put a time limit on your actions. If she was anywhere close to being a decent ruler, that would make actually organizing a rebellion just that much harder... and attempting to change things from within the system was absolutely pointless, you'd either just be indoctrinated into seeing things their way, or... if you refused to comply, you'd be assassinated. That was why you had to remain out of sight.

"Not right now. But I'll keep you updated on anything that happens..." Lelouch shrugged, you felt as if he was hiding something from you, but you weren't inclined to try to find out what he might be planning either. While you did both have the same goal, that didn't mean you could completely trust Lelouch, and it was likely that he didn't completely trust you either, it was unfortunate, but you were both at the level where you knew the danger of trusting the other. Though you felt as if you were in a good position right now, there was always a chance that even those closest to you could be turned against you.

"Good, well, on my end, my plans to start manufacturing my own Knightmare Frames are going well, in fact, they're going so well that I'm actually kind of a CEO now, actually." You shrugged, and Lelouch looked at you, attempting to discern information from just your appearance alone.

"You... what?" Lelouch was apparently stunned by the revelation that you had apparently been granted such an influential role. "A CEO... of what? And... how?" Looks like he wanted answers, luckily for him, you were more than willing to share how your meeting had gone.

"My meeting with the Ashfords to see about gaining access to more resources when it comes to weaponry. They agreed to allow me to manufacture and sell my new modular design on the condition that I act as the CEO of the company... this probably means I'm gonna be a little busier when it comes to school now, but it's not terrible, as far as cover goes... though I worry that one of my sisters might be able to recognize me." Euphemia and Cornelia were more familiar with you than anybody else, and you'd need to step lightly around them to avoid them realizing your true identity... if it came to the point that you were attending events with them, at least. Success as a CEO may just prove to be your undoing...

"You think so? I think your disguise is quite good, and they haven't seen you for years. It's doubtful that they'll be suspicious of your true identity unless you gave them a reason to be." Lelouch was overly confident, and you weren't about to take advice on concealing your identity from somebody who had a civilian alias that was almost identical to the alias of the missing royal... he hadn't even tried to change his relationship to Nunally to one of a cousin or something.
>>
"Well, we'll see. I'll just need to be careful, that's all." You turned to CC, who had been watching your interaction with Lelouch in silence, did she enjoy watching the two of you or something? "I'll speak to you later, Lelouch. I have a warehouse I need to check for military hardware."

"Right... I'll work on getting a proper connection to the terrorists through that Kallen girl... I'll use my alias as Zero while dealing with her... and you should use your alias too." You nodded. "Oh... and can I ask you to take care of our outfits as Zero and Omega? You're in a much better position than I to create our disguises... I'd likely have to end up using my Geass on a tailor for my own outfit, but I believe you more than capable of creating suitable costumes." Lelouch handed you a sheet of paper he had drawn on, and the sketch was of a fairly odd looking outfit... what he wanted Zero to look like, you guessed.

"Really? A cape?" You failed to stop the smirk. "Are you making this outfit to act as a terrorist leader, or to pretend you're going to a ballroom dance as a mystery man?" You joked with Lelouch, the inclusion of a cape wasn't altogether all that bad, but it did look silly.

"I believe that a cape will make me appear more imposing." Lelouch shrugged, not appreciative of your criticism of his outfit. It was mostly functional at hiding his identity, even if it was a little... over-designed in places. Typical of Lelouch to overthink things though.

"Sure." That was probably one of the reasons Lelouch had given the outfit a cape, that and the fact that he probably just thought that capes look cool. The helmet... was easy to recognize, if you were forced to say anything about it.

"Hmmph, this is a good opportunity for me to finish up the prototype I was working on for a suit of personal armor... though that armor was originally designed for the purposes of stealth, I believe that the basic design could be refitted to accommodate these... requests." The armor should be able to protect whoever was wearing it from pretty much any set of small arms fire, and if you can get some hydraulics working, may even be able to enhance the effective strength of the wearer. Something that Lelouch really needed if he was going to become something like a terrorist leader, if he got into a fight against somebody and they actually hit him, he'd crumple like wet tissue paper. Which... really wasn't the sort of quality you want if you intend to go up against a corrupt government... or hell, any sort of government, really.

"Armor, hmm? I originally intended for my outfit to be less... restrictive." Not for running, surely. If you knew Lelouch, it was probably because he felt like he'd be able to emote to other people better if he wasn't wearing something that restricted his movement, however...

"Not to worry, I intend on using smaller hydraulic systems built into the composition of the armor to allow for a full range of human movement, in addition to being able to take most small arms fire and shrapnel from explosions." You were quite proud of the idea, and it was something that if you could get functioning properly, would change the face of the battlefield just as much as Knightmare Frames do, after all. "Also by copying the hydraulic systems from a more modern Knightmare Frame and making them work on a smaller scale, the strength of the armor's wearer should be amplified to roughly around the level where they can easily lift 1 or 2 tons above their head."

"You... have a lot of good ideas, don't you, Bastian?" Lelouch complimented you, but you didn't really want the compliment, it seemed like a completely obvious use of your time, putting your mind to work creating things that didn't exist elsewhere. Other than your Geass, your one weapon against the Britannians was your genius.
>>
"I've spent years without being able to do anything, Lelouch. Why wouldn't I have spent some of my time working on projects that could help me achieve my ultimate goal?" Your question was sort of meant as criticism of how Lelouch had spent his own time, but... it wasn't exactly a fair criticism anyway. You knew that Lelouch's own form of intelligence wasn't the same as yours. While Lelouch excelled at manipulating others and reading people, you were the opposite... of course, Lelouch's Geass had made his natural skill-set a little bit more irrelevant. Why bother trying to convince somebody when you could give them an irresistible command? "Of course, I don't blame you for not potentially endangering your position here... it would've been reckless to have tried something without any sort of insurance, like your Geass." Unlike you, Lelouch had seemingly only gotten his Geass recently, and if he was caught, it wouldn't just be him who would be taken back to Britannia, but Nunally as well.

"It was fortunate that we found CC when we did." Lelouch nodded, looking over at the girl, who was leaning against a wall right now. Lelouch obviously wanted to say more about her, but he seemingly decided against it. "Anyway, if you believe that your armor project will be a good suit for our outfits, please go ahead with it, but... I need to ask you how long you think it's going to take. I wish to set up a meeting with the Terrorists, and... I don't believe it would be good if we were forced to wait too long for our outfits to be ready." Lelouch was asking you a question, and you started thinking... with the materials you had right now, it would take...

Justification time ! Hopefully a certain someone will not go check our room for see if we are actually sick.
We need to find a day for set up Merlin as well, it should help us in everything else, especially projects/company.
>>
Creating the armor would only take you a single day if you actually devoted the entire day to it. Of course, that meant without stopping at all, aside from maybe for a few minutes here and there to eat... you think you had a few trail mix bars stashed away somewhere, Milly sometimes gave them to you so you wouldn't get too carried away and starve yourself when you got too into one of your projects... of course, that relied on you actually remembering to eat those, but at least they were there.

"Alright, Lelouch, I'll see you... probably tomorrow? I intend to get the prototype finished up by around about this time tomorrow, so with any luck, we'll be able to move forwards with communicating with the rebels before the opportunity slips us by." It was only so long until the rebellion would be stamped out entirely, even if Cornelia was only in the country temporarily, all it would take was a short campaign led by her, and the remaining holdouts of Japanese resistance would soon crumble, in addition to Euphemia taking over as Viceroy, it would swiftly become impossible for any sort of resistance to Britannian rule to emerge in Japan, any sort of new movement would swiftly fizzle out if things in the once country weren't actually that bad for the people who lived within it.

"Excellent, then... I'll make contact with the terrorist girl for a meeting tomorrow. I don't think that she has any idea about either of us right now..." Kallen was an excellent contact to have, even if she didn't know it yet. With the assistance of both you and Lelouch together, there was no doubt that her terrorist movement could be changed from what was effectively a joke compared to the power of the Britannian military to a genuine revolution.

"Well, I almost caught her sneaking out of school the other day, but that was before anything ended up happening, and I just played it off as me being a concerned member of the student council... honestly, I knew she was up to more than just skipping her classes, but... well, I wisely decided against pressing the issue back then." Had you actually forced her to tell you what was going on, then things probably wouldn't have ended well for either of you.

"And a good thing you did, if she thought that she was being cornered, I imagine that she would've lashed out with some sort of concealed weapon and tried to kill you to protect her identity." Scary thought, but you couldn't argue, even if you were physically fit, your actual martial training led quite a bit to be desired, and surviving against a trained killer with a knife would be difficult to say the least.

"Alright then, are you coming, CC?" You turned to leave, but CC shook her head, causing you to pause in place for a moment as you stared at her, waiting for her answer.
>>
"I want to talk to Lelouch about a few things myself... in private." CC explained, and you just nodded. Whatever it was, it wasn't important to you right now, and CC's presence in your workshop would likely only be a hindrance anyway, especially if she started touching things that were best kept left well alone, immortal or not, you could do without her starting a fire that burned down your workshop because she was fiddling around with some broken electronics or something.

"...the materials I had Clovis leave for me now. I can't delay it too long, otherwise there's a chance somebody will pick up on the discrepancy and send an investigation to make my acquisition of military grade resources impossible." That was the last thing you needed right now, for all your goodies to be taken away because some Britannian quartermaster somewhere decided to actually read their inventory sheet and noticed that the numbers didn't add up. You highly doubted that Clovis organized the storage with any sort of tactical aptitude either, for all you knew, half the Britannian military could've been sent on the task to transfer equipment for you.

"Good thinking, there's no telling how long that building will remain undetected by the Britannian authorities." ...Especially if Cornelia takes over temporarily with the intention of instilling the rule of law back into the country, the mere fact that Clovis ordered the Shinjuku massacre would be enough to completely destroy any hope of Britannia and the people of Japan having anything even resembling a non-hostile relationship in the future. Even for a girl as charismatic as Euphie, there was very little that could be done against footage of people having their doors kicked down and being murdered in their homes, or of Britannian grunts gunning down children because they were commanded to... that's the sort of thing that makes peace impossible... of course, so long as the blame is pinned on Clovis, it might still be possible to establish peace, so long as Euphemia didn't decide to follow in her idiot half-brother's footsteps and order a massacre of her own... but you almost laughed at the very idea of her doing something like that. It was so out of character for her, that she'd rather die than order the deaths of innocent people like that... that softness was a trait that Charles wasn't all too fond of himself, as it directly conflicted with his might makes right attitude, to treat situations with care and respect.

"Right, guess this is goodbye for now, Lelouch." You nodded at Lelouch one last time as you left him and CC in the room together, to talk about who knows what with each other, probably something to do with his Geass, and that probably wasn't something that really concerned you, either.

Leaving your half-brother behind, you picked up your pace and started to head towards the exit of the school, as you did, you actually called a private hire moving service with links to the Ashfords, and they were quick to pick up. You were quicker still in telling them that you needed an industrial level truck to clear out an old military warehouse that you had purchased after it was condemned. It was going to cost you a fair bit, but... for you, money wasn't an issue, and it really wouldn't ever be an issue so long as there was an ATM around that you could hack into.
>>
By the time you got to the school gates, the truck had actually already arrived, and the driver got out to greet you. You looked closely at his vehicle, and noticed that its current size should allow it to contain at least 5 or so Knightmare frames, which was honestly not too bad. Of course, there being a driver meant you were going to have to make a choice here, you taught yourself how to drive a while back, and you didn't know if you could trust this driver to be able to keep his mouth shut.

"Would you mind staying here? I can drive." You even had a forged driving license... somewhere, you probably left it in a drawer somewhere, it wasn't exactly important for you to carry around. Of course, you could drive too, even if the driver didn't seem to believe you, based on the raised eyebrow you were getting. "Do I look like a liar to you? I promise that I won't damage your truck, but... this is something I'd rather have the utmost privacy for."

"Privacy? What, are you planning on transporting guns or something?" The truck driver didn't sound entirely convinced, though he seemed to know better than to question your age. As far as Britannian citizens went, this man was clearly quite low on the chain. To the point where he was in a job that most Britannians wouldn't dare to do, considering such menial tasks to be something that the native Japanese should do.

"Company prototypes, actually, I can't really afford to let anybody see them, otherwise my contract might be invalidated, it's complicated business, but basically, I'd be violating the clauses of my agreement if I let anybody that wasn't explicitly allowed to view the prototypes as listed in the agreement into the warehouse." The man raised an eyebrow, and you just shrugged as you reached into your pocket, grabbing your wallet. "But if you're worried about it, I can give you ten thousand now, and an additional twenty thousand in the unlikely scenario that I damage the truck." The man paused for a moment as he looked at you, and you pulled out a relatively thick wad of cash, there was more or less about ten grand in the wad, you didn't care to count as you threw the money to the man.

"Alright, fine, you've made your point, just... you know my number, call me when you're finished with the truck." The man didn't seem to be bothered at all now, he was effectively getting ten thousand pounds for doing nothing other than loaning you his truck... in hindsight, it probably would've been easier to have just hired a truck directly, but... too traceable, at least this way you weren't quite so easy to track, a hired truck would almost certainly find you under more scrutiny than the truck of a company, it was a simple assessment of risk, and... well it wasn't hard for you to get all the money that you needed from ATMs if you really felt like it.
>>
"Thank you." The man tossed you the keys to the truck, and you quickly entered the vehicle, familiarizing yourself with the controls of the truck. It wasn't exactly difficult to drive, considering you could fly planes, sail boats, drive trains and operate Knightmare Frames, the control scheme of a simple road vehicle was almost impossibly simple, even if this vehicle was a little more complex than your average car. You inserted the key into the ignition, and the engine started... the vehicle ran on electricity, so it was silent as it ran, and you soon found yourself smoothly sailing down one of Area 11's highways to reach your destination, keeping an eye out for the turning you'd need to find in order to reach the warehouse.

Soon enough, you were there, and though the door was locked with an electronic keypad lock, you effortlessly just used your Geass in order to bypass the security of the building and enter, you didn't have time to play a game of trying to guess what the code was, even if knowing Clovis, he'd have left the code as something like 0000. You didn't care about having to use your Geass for something like this, either. In fact, this sort of thing was where your Geass really excelled, it would be effectively impossible to enter this room without cheating your way through the door, if it were a more mundane door lock, you could've utilized lock-picking, but seeing as it was strictly controlled by a keypad, it was just far simpler to use your Geass in order to enter.

After opening the utility door to enter the warehouse, you marveled at just how much stuff Clovis had managed to get delivered to you, there were at least 10 crates, likely full of weapons, Sakuradite and components, along with a wide array of Knightmare Frames, there were about a half dozen Sutherlands in the warehouse... more than enough for you to have all the spare parts you could possibly ever need! Of course, it was gonna be pretty difficult to fit all of this stuff in the truck, but fortunately, you could just use one of the Sutherlands in order to pick up the equipment and take it to the truck. Finally, on a table near the Sutherlands, there was... a small box... gift wrapped and tied with a ribbon. Really, Clovis?

>>

Nah it's unlikely.
Mostly because we basically forced Clovis to do this transport operation immediately after the Japanese purge. If he followed our simple instructions there should be no one checking this stuff, or even knowing that this basic transport operation to this warehouse was done.
Our worst situation would be someone competent, looking over the daily affairs and duties of the prince, and finding this oddity. But Clovis has only yes men or other pampered nobles working under him, and for now he has still not been forced out of government position, and we really don't need to tell him something as obvious as canceling this transport operation from existence.
Another problem might be the sudden traffic, but I reckon we have chosen a spacious truck, and there are always trucks working near warehouses. At worst we will need to do two turns for take all, but perhaps we are able to take everything in one go. We will see. I wonder where we will put everything. Could be the new company quarters or the academy. I would say the academy since at the moment, we have our workshop/lab there. But having more space wouldn't be bad.

While you could unwrap the present and check out what was in the crates to make sure that Clovis hadn't managed to screw up again, you needed to make haste right now, there was no telling if this building would end up drawing Britannian attention. Even if it was an order from the Viceroy, it's not like people could just be ordered to forget doing something, and the soldiers would almost certainly report the order to the next Viceroy... or more worryingly, they'd simply report it to Cornelia instead, and there was no way she'd allow for something like that going uninvestigated.

With that in mind, you quickly entered one of the inactive Sutherlands that Clovis had generously given to you, and were pleased to find the activation key still in the ignition of the frame. Though you didn't like using it when you didn't have to, you used your Geass on the Knightmare Frame for just a moment in order to completely sever whatever ties it might have to any Britannian networks, didn't want to get tracked through it, after all. You were a little too knowledgeable to caught in a simple pitfall like that one, even if Clovis himself obviously hadn't recognized the danger of you being caught through such means.

The Sutherland controlled far better than your own Frankenstein of a DIY project did, the wonders of standardized parts and actually functioning movement servos couldn't be understated at all. With your increased mobility in the suit, loading all of the military crates into the back of the truck was very easy indeed. Of course, the Knightmare Frames ended up taking a fair amount of time to finish loading into the back of the truck, as you had to enter and exit all ten of them in order to get them all to fit inside. It was frustrating, but it was the only way for you to do it. After about an hour of messing around getting everything in order, the warehouse was completely empty, and everything had been loaded into your hired vehicle.

Soon enough, you set off to the factory building that was supposed to become the headquarters of your new business empire, it would be best to get the Knightmare Frames loaded into the factory before anything else, as much as you'd like to keep them at your school workshop, there was simply too much equipment here to reasonably get even a tenth of it smuggled through the school for your own use. The building was fairly old, but the security systems weren't bad, and you actually didn't even need to break in, either! You simply tapped the administration pass-code into a keypad near the main entrance of the factory in order to give yourself full access to the place.
>>
After that, it was the long chore of having to unload your truck, dumping the majority of your haul into the shipping and receiving part of the factory, not bothering to explore the place any further. You'd come back and look at everything more closely later on, but you were already running behind on your schedule for the creation of you and Lelouch's disguises, and you really couldn't afford any more distractions, so with the truck once again empty, you set off home. Though as you were driving, your attention kept being stolen away by the neatly wrapped gift box sitting on the dashboard. Maybe you should open it? It couldn't hurt, could it?

Take the box to a remote location alongside with a remote controlled robotic arm, then have the arm unwrap it at reasonably safe distance. If we don’t have a robotic arm readily available, hide the box at said remote location until such an arm can be procured or jury rigged.
It wouldn’t do if it was some sort of trap and compromised our hq, the truck or our face.

You decided to open the box after all. If it was actually some sort of trap or tracking beacon that Clovis had left for you in some attempt to betray you, then it was already far too late to actually do anything about it. You didn’t believe that he was cunning enough to pull something like that off, but there was always a chance that he had one of his underlings supervise the mission for him… you hoped he wasn’t so idiotic that he’d ruin everything through his incompetence, but with Clovis… well you could never be too sure.

Unwrapping the ribbon tied around the box and tossing it onto the passenger seat as you kept an eye on the road, you lifted the lid of the box off and took a look at the contents… there were… three photographs? One of you and your two sisters, another was of Lelouch and Nunally before the ‘accident’, and the third was a family photo with you and each of your siblings. You frowned as you looked at the photographs, before you smiled. “Damn sentimental idiot.” Of all the things Clovis could have given you, he had chosen to give you these photographs. You sighed. Lelouch would probably be happy to have a picture of Nunally before her ‘accident’, and… you couldn’t say that those weren’t better times. In a way, you had been cursed with your intellect, as well as a righteous motivation to uncover the truth to expose it to the world. Some people might’ve called you an idealist for that, but that wasn’t it. You weren’t an idealist at all, you just knew that the truth needed to be uncovered, and that anything that felt the need to operate in the shadows of an empire bent on world domination would certainly spell something far far worse.

You set the photographs down safely on the passenger seat and focused on driving again. You had just been too paranoid. Clovis was far too harmless for something like it to have been a tracker, and if it were the work of some Britannian soldier or officer, they would’ve actually attempted to hide it a little bit better than in something you were clearly supposed to find and open. You supposed that it could’ve been a booby-trapped grenade or something, but in a gift box? Not likely.

You continued to drive, your work for the day almost done. Soon you’d be back home and ready to start the long-haul that was the creation process for Lelouch’s armor as well as your own. You already had most of the ideas in your head as to how to finish up the creation of the armor, and you knew that you could manage it… even if you were going to probably feel terrible for the next few days after what would certainly end up being an overnight job. Ah well, you had stayed up nearly two days straight in the past when you were distracted by working on one of your projects, so it wasn’t like you weren’t used to it by now.
>>
You sighed as you continued driving, the photograph given to you by Clovis had actually managed to make you want to see your two sisters again… back then, everyone was always so… happy. Even you were happy when you were young, your prodigal intellect was not yet developed enough for you to have noticed just how odd things sometimes seemed to be at the palace. Everything changed the day that Marianne was killed though. She might not have been your mother… but it proved to you that nobody was safe in the palace, not you, and not your sisters.

You allowed your mind to wander as you drove back to the academy, if you had told Cornelia what you were planning on doing instead of just disappearing, how would she have responded? Would she have told you not to be ridiculous? Would she have agreed to help you? She always tried to be a guiding hand in the absence of your mother, and she was a young woman who was already receiving major accolades for her skill at command and piloting by the time you started planning out things. Had you… perhaps made the wrong choice? Escaping from Britannia couldn’t possibly have been a wrong choice, but Cornelia… she might have believed you if she found the evidence that you managed to find. It was highly circumstantial evidence that couldn’t prove anything unless you restored the corrupted file, but to you, the idea of a video-file that somebody had tried to delete without a trace around the time of Marianne’s murder? It was clear proof that whoever murdered Marianne wasn’t just powerful, but that they had complete control of the palace’s security… and only Charles had that sort of power! Unless there was somebody else besides your father who had unparalleled control of the palace, but there was nobody else who officially had such control!

You pondered on the idea of attempting to make contact with your sisters for a while, before you buried it. It would have to wait, while you would certainly embrace the opportunity to meet with either of them once again, you couldn’t risk actually attempting to make contact with them… or indeed for them to report that you were still alive… you didn’t think either of them would do such a thing, but you couldn’t be certain… not to mention that the paparazzi would be surrounding the two girls no matter where they ended up going, and people might put two and two together if you were photographed with each other…

Shaking your head as you arrived back at the school, you took another look at the three pictures…

You sighed, you supposed you'd have to give the photograph of Lelouch and Nunally to him, it's a fairly good indication that Clovis is not even close to being as bad as he might believe. Incompetent and wholly unsympathetic towards the plights of the people of this country, maybe, but it's obvious that he still cares a lot about his family. The very fact that he had such photographs available to him at a moment's notice meant that he must've taken them with him from the palace as personal effects. They were clearly fairly old photographs too, so that completely removed the possibility that they had been recently printed.

It was nice, to know that even if he was a total buffoon, Clovis still cared. You didn't know how much you'd truly be able to rely on him as an ally against whatever was actually going on in the shadows, but that was less due to his loyalty and more due to... well, a blindly loyal idiot wasn't exactly the best ally to have in a world where one misstep could lead to your assassination. You didn't know why Lady Marianne had been assassinated all those years ago, but the chances were that she ended up finding out something she wasn't supposed to, and the one pulling the strings decided she'd be better off with hers cut.

Having arrived back at the school, you quickly made your way over to the bored looking truck driver, paying him the rest of the money you promised and handing him the key to the vehicle back. "Thanks, great service, will use again." You smirked as the man pocketed the money, clearly he knew that you had probably just done something illegal with his truck, but it was hard for somebody to care when they were being given that much money to just not ask any questions... besides, it was technically your property you were transporting around, gifted to you by Prince Clovis! It was all perfectly legal, the only problem was your identity, which obviously needed to remain a secret.

With some of your business for the day taken care of, you jogged all the way to Lelouch's room, you were already running late for the armor creation, but... well, you sort of felt like this was something you had to do first. You weren't the sort of person to get easily sentimental over things like this, but... you just felt like Lelouch would enjoy having something like this. A reminder of what he's fighting for, the happier times that were taken from all of you... and the happier times that might yet come once again... you still wondered if it might be possible to give Nunally her ability to walk back through some form of surgery and advanced braces... but that was something you'd be able to determine while you were properly focused on constructing the armor, whether you could use tiny powered servos and braces controlled by some sort of nerve reading interface that enabled walking. It was worth a shot, and it would definitely be worth it, to be able to see Nunally walk once more.
>>
You quickly reached Lelouch's personal dorms, opening the door to find that your half-brother was nowhere to be seen, and only Nunally and their maid was present in the room. The maid turned to face you. "Oh, are you looking for Master Lelouch? You just missed him." Huh, he's being surprisingly busy today... you wondered what he might've been up to, before you shook your head.

"Oh, sorry yeah, I was. Do you know where he was heading?" If you're lucky, you might be able to catch up to him, but... unfortunately the woman just shook her head.

"Sorry, I'm afraid not. He can... be a bit spontaneous in his choices sometimes." Yeah, you had enough experience with that one. Though... maybe you couldn't really talk? You both went for Clovis yesterday, when it would've been far, far safer to simply return home... well, it's not like you can't say that the situation didn't end up going well in the end, thanks to Clovis actually being somewhat on you and Lelouch's side from the start. Even if his failures had ended with him getting dismissed from his role as viceroy, the fact of the matter was that it shouldn't be impossible for you to convince your two sisters to see things your way, though you'd definitely need to be careful, there was no telling if you'd truly be able to convince them or not. Especially not if they saw your disappearance without warning them as some sort of betrayal... you hoped they'd understand why you did what you did...

"Alright then, in that case, can you give him this picture? It's something I think he might enjoy." You handed the picture to the maid who looked at it for a moment before she started to smile lightly... but you had no time to make conversation with the hired help, so you took your leave, jogging back to your room in order to begin the design process. The armor should definitely focus on...

Do we have know how to implement
-optical camouflage
-grappling hook
-adhesive surfaces?
I guess the first is beyond us and the other two would fall under mobility?
The point is to have ability to quickly hide or make escape in ways tad more sophisticated than just running away.

Grappling hook could also double as a reach weapon, or as means to deliver malicious hardware.
>>
>>5158921
You could spend all your time trying to make an experimental optical camoflauge for it, but the resulting armor wouldn't be effective for protection or mobility.
Also, you can make grappling hooks and adhesive surfaces, as well as booster jets.

With how Lelouch is so physically inept this is probably the better option cause he'd normally engaging in combat from a safe position or inside a nightmare so being able to run away when those aren't an option would likely be best. Maybe give him a grapple like device from the Lost Planet game series give him a way to quickly and somewhat safely ascend/descend and if needed to hang from the shadows above if he can get to a high enough room to ditch pursuers.

A grappling hook to help him safely ascend or descend would be great for his mobility, yeah. Maybe he could practice with that so he's flying at +120mph.

Mobility. The design ought to focus on mobility. After all, if you were surrounded, it wouldn't really matter how many shots you could take, you were done for anyway. Therefore, it would make the most sense if you focused on the creation of a suit of armor that, while allowing for protection from at least some firearms, mostly focused on mobility and escape. Emergency jets for long ranged movement and jumping, in built grappling hooks to allow for the rapid scaling of buildings as well as super adhesive pads in the shoes and gloves of the armor, all wrapped together in a suit that made use of microhydraulics to augment the strength of the wearer.

It was a tall ask, but... for somebody like you, not impossible. You always were good at taking things apart and putting them back together better than before, and this was just that but on a larger scale, you'd need to mentally take apart a Knightmare Frame and design something that allowed for all the advantages of wearing one, with none of the drawbacks that such a large size brought. It was of course almost impossible to remain stealthy whilst wearing a moving tank, and for you and Lelouch, stealth and mobility were crucial.

You were soon at your workshop, the construction of the armor was something that required your complete focus, so you shut out the rest of the world around you, time flowed past you at what felt like an accelerated rate as you focused entirely on the creation of two suits of prototype armor, one for yourself and one for Lelouch, if you had a little bit more time, you were certain you'd have been able to create an armor focused on protection and an armor focused on mobility, but with the time crunch, you didn't have the time to experiment. You were fairly certain that CC and Milly came by at some point... brief flashes of Milly trying to force feed you a protein bar while you worked on the installation of a dumb artificial intelligence on the hydraulics that controlled the natural movement for one of the legs occupied the back of your mind as you focused on the creation of two gas propelled grappling hooks that used the same general concept as shrunk down Slash Harkens.

The armor slowly began to shape up over the course of the next few hours, the exoskeletal frame of the armor was the first thing you needed to complete, fortunately, Sakuradite was a powerful enough energy resource that just a small amount of energy filler was enough to keep the suit operational for almost six hours... it was designed to be efficient and not waste power like the dozens of extraneous systems and mechanics within the typical Knightmare Frame did, the exoskeleton functioned off of 6 Partially-Inert Sakuradite batteries that were positioned on the back of the armor to provide power to it... in an emergency, a battery could be removed and activated to act as a sort of grenade, but that was tremendously dangerous, and something that had at least a twenty percent chance of going off in your hand immediately after being primed to explode.

In the end, you found yourself with two suits of armor shaping up, one was clearly Lelouch's own model, you'd kept his design request for the stupid impractical helmet and cape just for the look being more theatrical and likely to gain attention than a purely functional design would. Your own design was a lot more practical, with the resources you had available to you now, your helmet had the same retractable eye covering that allowed you to use your Geass that Lelouch's helmet had, but it also had a great deal of sensors on it, allowing for you to see in multiple spectrums of light, as well as a personal radar that allowed for the visualization of the room and a noise detector that could pick up on heart-beats... it was sort of over-kill, but the tech was already there for the most part, especially now that you had access to so much top quality tech. You were thankful that CC agreed to fetch you a few things from your factory so you didn't need to waste any time taking the trip yourself.

So you continued like this, for almost twenty hours straight, tinkering and thinking as you worked on the two suits of armor, adding whatever you felt like would be good for the design. Finally, the two suits were finished, and though you hadn't tested the fully constructed suit as one whole object yet, you had a decent idea as to the suit's capabilities. The grappling hook's range was about 150m, the thread was incredibly thin but had ridiculous tensile strength to the point that it could take the weight of the shooter as well as two other people... the speed of the armor was no joke either, allowing for running speeds of up to fifty kilometers per hour with the ability to jump 20 meters straight up, with the ability to reach 50 meters with the addition of the jump jets... it was really a wondrous piece of engineering, and easily your best work ever.
>>
You found yourself staring at the two now complete designs for you and Lelouch's armors, while both were still technically prototypes, they were entirely functional prototypes that you needed to test... but you'd been working for a tremendously long time already, and you were close to passing out now...

>Have a quick nap.
>Go find Lelouch and give him his armor.
>Test the capabilities of your new armor first.
>Give Lelouch a call, tell him his armor is ready.

>Something else...
Ask Milly or CC to wake us up in an hour and prepare a pot of coffee please.
After getting some amounts of rest and a shower, we can use the remaining three hours we have left to run some testing. If we find everything satisfactory we can try taking another nap.

hahaha
For the cape of Lelouch for avoid that it gets in the way or it gets cut during escapes, could a little roller roll it back inside the armor on the back ? I can already imagine he will do something dumb with that thing. Either way the armors are really good. We might want to get a few urban maps of tokyo uploaded in them.

>>5165083
I agree, support.
But send a message to Lelouch that both armors are done, in some hours there will be some testing and familiarization with the armors. Knowing how they work, how to move in them and their limits.
We will get some sleep and then we do some tests together, and see if they fit well on us. If there is any errors/problems we can fix them.

Agreed with the messaging to brother and sibling testing. We'll be wearing the armor, so we would need Lelouch to actually try it on to trouble shoot it for us.
>>
We should get to decoding that USB. We don't know if that will change anything or if there's anything on it.
>>
>>5165045
>>Give Lelouch a call, tell him his armor is ready. Pending final testing to ensure there's no problems!

Cause honestly if we go to sleep or say it's already to go without admitting it hasn't been tested yet is just asking for him to use it right away and for a problem to be found on the job!
>>
>>5167547
We could just tell him we finished but need to test them out to ensure the armor doesnt literally fold him like a lawn chain due to the slightest miscalculation. Then we can sleep for a bit, then do some testing with him when we have a little bit of energy left.

When Bastion finally finishes his armor, will he be able to more on to some heavier, more energy efficent power armor?
I'm thinking, what's stopping Bastion from installing extra arms, claws, and mechadendrites to make repairing / creating / modifying things faster? More arms are better than one, especially if he uses his Geass.
>>
>>5167660
There's nothing stopping him from making new models, no.

Hell yeah. Time to expedite the crafting process. We need to include a self feeding device in our Build it Bob suit, maybe even super diaper technology.

"CC?" You looked around for the girl, to find her standing directly behind you, almost causing you to jump right out of your skin. "H-how long have you been standing behind me?" How the hell didn't you notice her?! Were you really that distracted?!

"About five hours now." She responded in a dead-pan voice. Five hours?! You understood that she was immortal, but... how did you not notice her in all that time?! "Would you like a protein bar?" She asked with a smirk on her face, and you felt a chill run down your back... oh, so that actually did happen... you were sort of hoping that Milly taking matters into her own hands was just a fabrication of your own mind brought about through your imagination... but you weren't that fortunate.

"N-no thanks, I'm not hungry." You shake your head at the offer of a protein bar, you can feed yourself now that you're not so distracted by your work. It was a bad habit of yours to just completely devote yourself entirely to whatever project you were working on, even at the expense of your own health, but... it let you get the job done fast, and as far as you knew, without any manufacturing issues either. "However... can you wake me up in about... oh I don't know, an hour? And also prepare a pot of coffee for me? I... I need to rest."

"Fine... Where do you keep the coffee? Or the coffee pot? Or anything that isn't a tool of some variety?" CC looked around the workshop, clearly despite the time she had spent in your workshop she had yet to know where everything was kept... of course, you didn't actually keep a coffee pot in the workshop, but she had no real way of knowing that.

"I don't think I... bothered to get one for the workshop?" That's something you'd need to change for the future, especially if you planned on working on your projects once again. "I know it's kind of a big ask, but could you head to the school kitchen or a staff room and grab a pot of coffee for me?" It wasn't really that big an ask at all, but it was kind of pushing the line, you thought.

"OK, fine. You just rest then." CC nodded. "I'll be back in an hour like you wanted. I've got a few things I need to be doing anyway, so I can do that while I wait." The girl shrugged, and you put your head on your desk, swiftly falling fast asleep in the uncomfortable position the moment you closed your eyes. The world went black around you as you drifted into unconsciousness.

...

"Bastian! It's time to wake up." You jolted awake to see CC standing over you, and you were sluggish to respond for a moment before you took the jug of coffee from the green haired girl and drained half of it, to CC's clear concern. In hindsight, you probably should've just invested in some caffeine pills rather than rely on coffee, but... well you weren't exactly expecting to pull off a work session like this one.
>>
"Thanks, CC." You smiled sleepily at the girl, hour long power nap and jug of coffee aside, you still didn't have long before you'd actually need to properly rest up, but you had enough energy now to actually last until it was night time... again. You checked the clock to find that it had just gone noon, you didn't know when Lelouch was planning to meet up with the terrorists, but... it was probably around 3 or 4PM.

>Test out the armor now.
>Call Lelouch, ask him if he can schedule the meeting to happen sooner.

CC is such a treasure. Bastian should make her a pizzabot or something.

Can Lelouch come her to test out the power armor? We need to make sure it wont kill him the first time he wears it. While we wait for him to arrive, we can take then time to test out our own set.
