You are Purple, a 18 year old trainer. You like pokemons and food. You're fit, and sing horribly bad.
The region is South Kalos, you can meet all pokemons, there are some alternate typing name delta pokemons and possibility to fuse pokemons.
Last time, you continued your journey started thanks to Professor Pommier whith your new friends : Blaise, a Chad Historian, Clémentine, a Stacy wannabe Nurse-Ranger, Lucas, a nerd, Léa, a chaotic-stupid tech genius, and Maxine, the edgy fight addict of the group.
You met last time some guys of Azad Children of light, kind of doomsday mormons
You didn't stayed around to assert their danger level.
You also met some guys obsessed with the past president Roger Quilliot, QuillAnons. They attacked you on sight after understanding you were not Kalosian,
For now, you have 3 badges : the Normal one, the Bug one and the Psychic one.
Your team so far :
Charmy, delta-Charizard, Ghost/Dragon, level 42
Tensendur, Ponyta, Fire, level 33
Nanowatt, Joltik, Bug/Electric, level 35
Pinekiss, Togetic/Forretress Fusion, Fairy/Bug level 34
Kokonuts, Mumbao, Fairy/Plant, level 25 (Benched at Professor's)
Oslo, Marill/Cubone fusion, Water/Ground sap sipper, level 22
Bag contents :
------Rare items ------
One Pokeball
Pokedex
Trainer card
Saddle
TM Case : Secret Power, Bug Buzz, Stored Power
Badge Case : Normal, Bug, Psychic
Z-Case : Normalium-Z, Buginium-Z, Psychium-Z
Thick Club (Oslo)
Leftovers (Pinekiss)
Rare Bone
Armor Fosssil
------Everyday stuff ------
Food for the current trip
Camping gear
3 set of cloths
3 Condoms (thanks Clémentine I guess?)
------Consumables ------
Molotov Cocktail (x3)

You are currently in the end of the fight with QuillAnons cultist. A little girl came out with a pokemon your Pokedex see as a myth, the cultists are scattering around. You tackled down the admin you dual-fighted with Blaise, lost a banana peel in the process and took Blaise down with it.
You ponder using a pokemon to take another one down before they all scatter, but your only pokemons still up are Charizard and Oslo...
>Purple used False Swip!
It's very effective. You fell down another guy.
"Good job, Manaphy. Hello, my name is Lili, I'm the champion of Wateredge. Alert has been ringed with QuillAnons guys attacking travellers. I was afraid being late, but you guys handled the situation quite well. Now, let me call the cops..."
The champion take out her Pokedex, ring a number. You hear the ringtone coming out of the metal plated guy.
"Well, I'll make sure this guy can never work in law and order again... Hello officer, we have some people to pick up around here..."
The police get to your location in just a couple minutes, and take the rioters with them.
"You guys seems strong. However, I'd advised you to train a bit. At 3 badges, your team should be of 5 level 36 pokemons. Your pokemons too strong will be level-capped"
And there she goes.

After a quick in and out in the pokecenter, time to make decisions.

Roll 2d6.
While getting out of town, and training your pokemon, you are approached by an overweight guy.

"Hey, pretty girl, my pokedex says we have same badge count, want to find out if we have more in common?
Battling is a great way to get to know each other, whaddaya think?"
The guy is clearly trying to flirt. It's the first time you''re approached by a stranger for this purpose.

You answer the fatty
"Hey boy, can you carry your mother cause I’m in need of a lift"
You're not even sure what's that mean, it came spontaneously. The guy became all red and starts stuttering.
"Dear fat boy, my name is Purple, I m 18 years old, I ve never seen the sea and I love food. Nice to meet you. What about you ?
- Oh wow, You like food? Are you the girl of my dreams? My name is Jean-John. I'm 16, and my spirit pokemon is Snorlax! I think you are really pretty...
- I like big guys after all. More to love"
The exchange is going nicely. Jean-John is way more akward than you so you feel like you're getting the upper hand. Any normal person would rate this at Kindergarden flirting, but both of you obviously didn't flirted at all in your life, so better late than never, right?
"Allright, let's battle!"

Quick, CPR time! A memory about mandatory first aid class you took at the cult for some reason (we want to make sure our sacrifice makes it alive to the altar, learn how to save others to please our dark savior) came back in front of your eyes
You start singing while aggressively pumping :
"Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk,
I'm a man's woman: no time to talk.
Music loud and all men warm,
I've been kicked around since I was born.

And now it's all right. It's OK.
And you may look the other way.
We can try to understand
The Castelia's effect on man.

Whether you're a sister
Or whether you're a father,
You're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.
Feel the city breakin'
And everybody shakin',
And we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive.
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive"

some startled taillow seems to flee from a whole kilometer around. You are pretty sure you broke at least 3 ribs, but Jean-John came back to his senses. He's coughing a bit.
"Wow, you save my life! You're like the best thing happening to me!"
You're still not sure if this counted as your first kiss.
"Well, I think I'll better call a medic... To thank you for helping me you can have a part of my snack."
He takes out of his backpack 3 eggs :
"Choose onr, pretty girl"

>Merry Christmas and happy new year, fellow retards. here's a gift that should complement your team just right.

You're not quite sure what the eggs are. Pokedex doesn't help either. You figure out the first one might be some kind of squirtle, you half-heartedly picked it.
Then, the emergency service find ou and bring Jean-John to the hospital.
Welp, that wrap up the day. You didn't even made it to the beach. You go to find and meet your friend. Night settled, and you received a few messages on your Pokedex.
Maxine spammed you, treating you coward for dodging last fight, and whatnots.
Looks like your friend don't want to challenge the gym just yet, you still have a bit of time to prepare.
For tonight, they found out some kind of mansion. You're not sure to understand everything, but Clementine knows some filthy rich guy and got the key of his place for a week while he's on a business trip.
You go toward the mansion, and find out the guy got all the good stuff you never tasted : Oyster, Foie Gras, Champagne, Caviar, Whisky, fancy wine. Your friend setted up the dining table and you hear Clémentine saying "don't worry, it's ok we can help ourself as much as we want".

You start munching on the expensive, fancy food.
Lucas even bring a plate of snail pokemon assortment. Surprisingly it doesn't have much taste outside of butter and herbs. Texture is a bit chewy like mushrooms,
Anyway, with you getting mad drunk, you start rambling about your day; discussing in details the long and excruciating fight.
"You know, you really should start acting more like a stratege", Lucas said.
"When you start a fight, the most important thing is hazard controls. Moves like spikes or stealth rock will often bring down the cumulated energy of one or 2 full life pokemons. Most person use as a lead some Hazard setter. It's even better if it can rapid spin to take opponent's hazard out. Then, you'll need some pivot, wallbreaker, setup-sweeper, tank... But you'll figure that out."
At some point, you take the egg out to contribute for the meal, but the ride on Tensendur was enough to start the hatching process. You don't really feel like eating this now you know a cute little squirtle - or squirtleLike - pokemon is growing inside.
Keeping talking about your day, and drinking the GDP of a small equatorial region, you reach the point of your 'first kiss'.
Maxine obviously is mean and say you prostitute your first kiss out of an easy fight because you suck, but her bad words lost some edge as she went up mid sentence to throw up. Drinking while pregnant is irresponsible, you should really tell her about this.
Around the table, Lucas says it count as a first kiss, Blaise says it doesn't, Léa doesn't care and Clémentine says it only count if you want it to count. After a short night with wall dancing and closing on you, you decide to:

Léa wants to tag along, with Blaise and Clémentine. Turns out Clémentine and Blaise main goal is to pick up some hot people, while Léa just haven't more to do.
On the road, you ask them about their first kiss. It's disapointing, as both Clémentine and Blaise got it between 4 and 6, while Léa doesn't for now, and doesn't care.

You know for sure the professor would be interested in that. Maybe you can trade it to him for a fusion or another delta? Or just using it as a token to get Kokonuts back in the team, right on time for Water gym? But if you do that, no pokeball left for nice opportunities. Like an egg hatching.

"So, we have the grand honor of having master Kamekusu with us today. By channeling your chi, some of you that will be allowed to step on the way will learn how to use moves akin to pokemons."
The blinded guy, water mid belly, take a step forward, seems to focus intensely, then with a move of the arm the whole ocean seems to synchronize with him. A huge wave gather, is propelled forward. Master Kamekusu then jumps and ride the wave. Like, 2 feets floating on the water. You're a bit impressed.
"This was a flawless execution of the Surf move. Now, none of you will makes it today. However, here are the steps to do it.
First, meditate and channel your energy. Like other training place, some of you might more or less be aligned with water element..."

"So, you know, Baptiste, Clémentine is so nice; She's been really helpful with me, because I kinda knew nobody when I came in Kalos. She's been like a sister for me, maybe you can get as close?"
You realise what you just say, become red, and try to correct your spaghetti drop.
"Wait, not like your sister. That would be weird, according that you... Well, haha... ha..."

They both burst out in laughter. Out of shame, you decide to leave them be. Turns out you facilitated things, at the cost of your dignity.
Let's leave that behind you.
>Discuss with Elodie
Elodie is tall. Elodie is pretty. Elodie is also smart. And Elodie already got the 8 badges she needs to be admitted in medical school. That... gives you some complexes.
>Discuss with Laetitia.
Laetitia is chill. She is the oldest of the group; almost 30. She works as a voice artist. She is an amazing singer, but never made it so she records voices for show, games, advertisements.
She tells you a bit more about the martial art school of green draconite's fist. Apparently, people train really hard there. Once elementary affinity are found and start being able impacting a bit environment, as Jason did, they go into secret special training. Details are not disclose, but they first renounce to sight, then takes a silence vow, then a last vow to cut earthly ties. They rose then to the master rank, as master Kamekusu. The senseis are masters that willingly go back on their vow : they get back their sight and voices, but lose their ability to perform pokemon moves. Being allowed to talk is a big plus to teach.
All people training in this style doesn't aim for this awesome abilities. Some just want to learn self defence and learn how to meditate.

Jason comes from Alolan. Jason looks more like a Makuhita than a Machoke, for a martial artist. Jason is 2 year older than you.
>Purple is confirmed having a thing for guys with a little meat on the bones
Jason is really nice. He came to Kalos to study ecology and water ecosystem preservation. However, he hardly knew anyone here before joining the martial art school. Being someplace he belongs... He really loves it.
>You trade dex number with Jason.
After spending a good night, you go "home" to the rich guy Clémentine somehow got keys from. Baptist is coming with you.
After the beach day, shower is divine. Getting the spare salt and sand out of your skin makes you feel so smooth. You're glowin. Next thing, you get into your sheet, close your eyes, and it's tomorrow already.
For breakfast, Baptist went for Croissant for everyone. What a nice guy. The rich guy got lots of fancy teas that taste amazing. Way better than the crap sold at discount for travel.

Your baby seems to know a wide array of moves. First, he is able to dash forward in a surprisingly nimble way.
>Squiggles knows Aqua-jet
damagin priority move water-typed. Think water type quick attack
Second, in a quite nimble way too, he knows how to slam with with his cuty tiny little paws and scuttle away.
>Squiggles knows Flip-turn
Water-typed U-turn. Using this change the pokemon on the board. On fast pokemons, it allows to deal damages then switching to a resisting one, on slow tanky pokemons, taking a hit for a weaker fast hitter pokemon then put him on the field
Third, at some point Squiggles was badly startled by a bird pokemon. In self defense, he spitted a oozing sludge looking particularly dangerous
>Squiggles knows Toxic
Lastly, you took out other team member to learn him to socialize. Tensendur nudged him on the face, which startled Squiggles again. He retreated in his shell, spined around, and laid a group of shells around. Surprised, you stopped.
When a Budew walked in the range, the shells started spitting water. Offended, the budew scuttled away.

You can't help to notice she's a bit pouting.
And, just like that, her manaphy gets out of his pokeball. You can't help but feel a link between that little one and the shadow guy that helped you with the jail and cultists situation.
"What, manaphy? wants to say something?"
Suddenly, images flash to your eyes. The crypts, again. In them, one of the pour sobs that attacked you the other day. Not the armored guy or anytone notable, really. He's bruised, with torned clothes, and looks overall miserable. Holding him, two regular cultists. There is also one standing on elevated altar, looking like a higher-ranking cultist, in front of a good hundreds of hooded figure. And a pile of human sacrifice, some still wailing.

First, there is an engraving on the wall. The details are blurry, but it seems to show 4 pokemons leading an army. The pokemons looks like hodded knights. One sport a huge spear, an other have a shield. The other two are too blurry. The army is fighting against engraving of the cultists themself, behind a grim shadow silhouette. The engraving seems to show the leading cult pokemon falling in battle, and rising again from the hooded cultist figures.
Another grim detail : in the pile of corpse you recognise a suit. You have just spent an evening with that guy and his friends, but you're pretty sure it was one of the traders. And you see also a couple karate Gi within the deads.

You decide to do that.
Clémentine won a bit like you, her Emolga zapping the pelipper and chansey poisonning the Marshtomp.
On Blaise side, turns out Persilave the Mollux you both went and caught is naturally strong in rain and got a water absorption special ability.
Mmm... This one would be a nice addition if you choose to go for a rain team, with your Squiggle, your Oslo and your Pinekiss as already strong rain options...
Lucas taught magnet rise to his magneton, dealing easily with the swampert.
Maxine, like usually, took a new pokemon for her team : a Servine. You're pretty sure it was only for countering your water/ground Oslo. She'll be madly disapointed when finding out it's a sap sipper. Kek.
While they go and fight, you talk a bit with Léa. She's a god damn genius when it comes to items, so...

"Mmmh... Tough question.
Your charizard would be deadly with either choice specs, or life orb. The first one will be at the cost of set up, the second would damage its staying power.
Galvantula would benefit most of a life orb; it's already frail anyway.
You have already hazard control and nobody weak to rocks, so heavy duty boots are out of the way... So yeah, go for life orbs, choice items, and leftovers.

"It will prove itself a challenge...
The way to make such orbs is actually quite simple : each time a pokemon die, he can sometime cristalise its life force as a life shard. This are main ingredients for revive, but the death of pokemons, especially innocent one, can spawn dragon pokemons. The level can be quite dangerous if the resentment is high. So, even people which go through the ethical burden of doing that won't for long.
Thus, the main source of such things comes from black market. Once you got the shard, it's quite easy to turn it into an orb by encasing it in Quartz spherical cristal"

Great tie.
In the meantime, I'm working on some stuff, so it might take a little while before next update.

Let's move things forward.
You and your friend gather after the gym for one last night in the seaside mansion. There is lot of casual chat in that evening, so you took opportunity to ask a few questions.
>Go investigate about the knight pokemons
"Say, guys. You know anything about some knight pokemons?
-Yeah, this is a local myth based on historical figures. There are 4 of them, which where middle-age knights and king. Legend say shadow rised and they get all united to deal with it. One of the most famous Kalosian poetry is about them, like all kid learn it in school."
Blaise is usefull. As always. Lucas goes on.
"It goes like this... It's Kalosian of course, and I won't be able to translate.

Il était une fois, Kalos de l'ancien temps
Hionleart, Guinièvre, Danjark, Rolanceleau
Etaient ainsi connus, appelés les hérauts
Quatre chevaliers, preux, hardis, heureux, vaillants.

Damn, you didn't get anything but it sounded really cool.
>Go investigate about catacombs
You recall the professor telling you about catacomb being on a few selected towns : Velayswell, Frameson, and Krow-Hold.
"Say, you know anything about catacombs?"
"Frameson is quite known for them; there is a gym down there I think. Like all middle-age based town got some, and they are said to be dangerous as a place where litteral underground society gather."
Once again, thanks Blaise.
>The cult is still way above your power level. Go back on the road, catch stuff, train.
"Where should we go next in your opinion?"
This time, Clémentine is answering.
"The most logical thing to do would be heading south toward Pinktown, with electric and flying gyms. Else, if we got enough flying pokemon, we can get back to any town previously seen and then go for either Frameson, with dark and ghost gyms, or Saint-Stephen, with steel and plant gyms. We don't have to leave tommorrow though"

With all that new knowledge, you decide to
>Look for a shiny stone, time to evolve Pinekiss, so you can fly back where you want
>Push investigation on [write subject]
>Head south for Pinktown

After a heavy night of sleep, you decide to check a bit more that story about knight pokemons.
>Alright, now is the time to put some roleplay in our roleplay game. Try to translate the poetry in english for getting general meaning.
>>
>>5139579
There were 4 knights. 2 of them became a king and queen who had a dragon pokemon. The other 2 roamed and vanquished threats. When a dark force rises, the 4 of them united to defeat it but the darkness returned and took revenge, I think?
>>
>>5139579
Purple's friends try to translate the poem.
Purple is fascinated by the legend.

Once upon a time, in Kalos in ancient times,
Hionleart, Guinièvre, Danjark, Rolanceleau,
Whose role was to announce message, were well known
4 brave, bold, happy, valiant knights.

Hionleart was the sovereign of the kingdom
Guinievre, his wife was riding dragons
Together, they lead the land, and their union
Foresaw ages of feudal lords

Danjark was the symbol of her background of commonners
An accomplished, galvanizing, fearless warrior
The white knight-errant Rolanceleau
Slain ennemies, over hill and dale

The dark menace arose
the soldiers joined forces
They fought the shadow
They triumphed over it.

The shadow never gave up
Took revenge on the soldiers.
Reincarnated as Knights,
they managed to seal the darkness.

Congrats.
You spent the day in the town's library.
This well known poetry was a song. It is clearly made of two parts : The 3 first paragraphs are Alexandrin-styled verse, while the last 2 are with irregular metric. Scholars theorise it was longer, but event of civil war lead to fusing the beginning of this song to the end of another one, on the same subject.
There are a few historical traces and appearances of the pokemon-version of the knights, starting from 14th century. Nothing related to them during the Big War, 25 years ago, though.
From what you get using other sources :
>They all share the steel type
>They all have a den some place on the map

>Bonus round : you'll get more informations if you guess real-world inspirations or if you get some guesses about the pokemons right.

To gather more informations, you'll need to head to Krow-hold, a town renowned for its scholars.
You still have a bit of time today; your friends accepted to delay the where-to-go decision one day or two for your sake.

>Push investigation on the knight pokemon
It looks like Rolland’s ballad and King Arthur’s legend.
Rolanceleau = Rolland+Lancelot ?
>>
>>5142615
Here's a free lore dump
Although it's the easiest one

Digging through old Kalosian sources, a dictionary and a growing headache, you found more informations :

Rolanceleau is the tallest of the knights. He wields a spear, which he use to project stream of high-pressure water.
>>
>>5142459
My hypothesis :
Danjark = Jeanne d'arc
Guinièvre = queen Guenièvre + Guillaume Tell or Guillaume Cochard ?
Hionleart = Lionheart = Richard Coeur de lion
>>
>>5143278
>Guillaume Cochard
I don't know this knight.
Well played though.

>Danjark
Known for her shield. Hear voices in her head. Both STABS resisted by fire.

>Guinièvre
stands for Guivre (French word which evolved in Wyvern), and Guenievre. Was almost impossible to find though.
You didn't found so much sources regarding her. You're pretty sure she's linked to dragons. That's all.

>Hionleart
The alleged king of legend. Holds Globus Cruciger. Burns of an inner fire, protecting him of magical attacks.
>>
>>5143292
Thank you for the news.
Yeah Guillaume Cochard may not be as famous as the other ones.
My thoughts about the pokemon :
Rolanceleau may refer to a water pokemon
Guinièvre : dragon/fire type
Danjark : psy pokemon and has a good shield
Hionleart : fire type and may be more powerful with an object

You decide to spend the end of the day looking for a shiny stone.
But where to look? You decide to go for caves and beaches.
Walking up beaches, you see some nice natural dike. Maybe, there are some grotttos with hidden riches washed up by the currents?
