_

You are Lieren of Nothing, The second Primarch created by the emperor of mankind and father to a legion of space marines, Savior of the Shuni, benevolent Giant of Long-Jia, renowned Warrior, Philosopher, Inventor and Philanthropist, Adoptive father and guardian of the future generation of the Tiger Folk, The Man who brought Dragons back to Shangrala, Grandmaster of Both the Wanderers in the Fog Sect and the Brothers of the panther, Head of the Imperial Ministry of development and The Grand Architect of Long-Jia Jinhai, as well as his sworn brother. You are also the enemy of Chaos and the partner of Kanzeon.

Having met your brother Perturabo by contacting him in the warp and learning you had seventeen more brothers than you previously believed, you chose to cheer up Kanzeon after she became depressed after revealing the truth of her and her sister's birth/construction by showing her than no matter her origins or nature, she would always be accepted and beloved by the people of Shangrala. This, you would achieve by having her reveal her true nature to the people of Long-Jia, that of a living ship of immeasurable age who had lived to see humanities great fall from grace. Though she held apprehension against this decision, you knew only she could choose how she'd reveal the truth of her existence to the people, and that forcing her to do it in a matter of your choosing would be pointlessly churlish and cruel.

Stand in her command bridge, you waited for her to come to her decision and to support her however she chose to support the matter of exposing herself to the masses...
_

It is humbling, to gaze upon Shangrala from above its ever present blanket of fog and mist. Like a sea of clouds, it rolls across the lands broken only by the highest peaks of its mighty, enduring mountains and the occasional aircraft piloted across Long-Jia's borders. Not even The towering spires of Nothing or the Imperial palace of the Long-Jia dynasty can be seen beneath the milky white sea spreading across the entirety of the world. It sits, in the cosmic void of the heavens, like a pearl drifting amongst polished and cut gems and rough spheres of rock. A unique, peerless beauty that defies reason. To look upon it, is to witness natural beauty unlike any other. With you arms held behind your back, you admire the vistas of your home, and smile when you find that you're able to recognize the few landmarks that can be seen beneath or above the fog. The lights of the growing cities certainly helps to triangulate your and Kanzeon's positions. You wonder, for a moment, where she will choose to reveal herself? Her sheer size and bulk will make her entrance rather...difficult to plan and safely carry out.

"You worry too much" Kanzeon says through her avatar, whose seated behind you, lounging besides a board covered in liquid metal, which she traces her fingertips through, mimicking the motions of a painter with each digit "I believe, a proper poetic phrase for this, would be, "Do not worry if a bird will be able to return to its nest from flight". This is more natural to me than walking in the living puppet we engineered together. I am just...trying to decide what will be the most impactful way for me to approach the world"

You turn back to her, smiling and thoroughly intrigued.

"Approaching the border between the lands held by that butcher and my bitch of a sister would certainly have an effect on the defender's morale, but I wouldn't want to cause trouble and excite those two idiot slaves into action" She muses, pouting as she adopts the posture and mien of a noble lady, kicking one leg over the other before running a hand through her luxurious mane of black hair "The old capital would cause a stir, but visiting the grave of Kuan Im...wouldn't be good for my mental health. Could have fun with the Shuni, be treated like a goddess for a few moments before I explain that I'm not, that'd be entertaining"

She taps a finger upon her pursed lips, eyes turning to the ceiling of the chamber as she decorates it with a thought, adorning it with beautiful carvings of herself being pampered and worshiped, before quickly erasing them and replacing them with images of her scolding her former adherents while you look on approvingly. She giggles at the visual joke she herself crafted and turns her eyes towards the field of clouds in front of her truly titanic body.

"Nothing is a center of commerce and civilization, but the difficulty is its verticality. It'd be difficult to approach sight without risking structural damage to its growing infrastructure or the woodlands" She sighs, pressing two fingers together on her temple, before her eyes widen and fill with a mischievous glow, like jade pressed held next to a flame "oh! Oh that's an idea! Approach like a phantom fortress or ghost city above the imperial palace! From what I know of the Long-Jianese, they'll take my appearance as a good omen and immortalize it in poetry, songs and theater!"

You shudder, imagining the scene as you stride to your lover's side and sit on the couch next to her as she cackles to herself, wearing a truly terrifying expression.

"Oh you're being dramatic Lieren, despite the fact I'm a colony ship, I've as graceful as any smaller craft, much more so considering the vessel IS my body" She sneers, biting her thumb as she leans forward, eyes twinkling with mirth as she herself imagines the scene she intends to create.

"Jinhai would appreciate it, not sure about Daiyu or their children. The courtiers will be driven into a brief panic, surely. If Shirong is at court, I imagine, despite knowing your true nature,"
Cont
>>
"he'll feel his creations inferior to yourself which may lessen his will to carry out his research and great responsibilities" You list off to keep yourself from fretting too much over Kanzeon's mischief as she races through the skies, the chamber you're in ringing like a singing bowl or struck chime

"And Shan would wonder how much explosives would be required to destroy me, Tao Dandan would want to overseer me personal defense grid and Yunru would weep when he saw the capability of medical bays" Kanzeon dully details, sounding board as she leans closer to you, relaxing on the couch she created to rest her secondary body on "Stop worrying, it'll be fun and won't cause the havoc you dread"

"Unless someone is so gripped with terror they leap from a high tower or the glass bridge" You mutter, causing Kanzeon to lightly smack the back of your head

"Stop worrying" She sternly commands, before she raises a finger and for dramatic flair, snaps it.

Her voice begins to be broadcast to the world below, reading the opening statement of the journey as you watch the lake surrounding the imperial palace come into view beneath the emerald glow Kanzeon makes her body produces as her vast shadow dwarfs both it and the island where the Palace sits upon. Without the light show, it'd seem as though an unnatural light had befallen the new capital and its heart.

You can only imagine how Yin Lei, if he is present at his family's estate, is reacting to hearing the gospel that dictates his life being read as if spoken from the heavens themselves as emerald glow burns through the fog.
_
The black general had frozen, dropping a tea cup as he spoke with his nephew and the heir apparent to the Yin family, Yin Delun, as they watched over their once misbegotten cousins of the north. The cup shattered into a thousand shards as his eyes widened as he gazed out towards the horizon, as if the sight he witnessed had turned him to stone. The servants of his family had stopped their work, and the children of that bastard dog of the Yan rushed to his side, seeking protection from what they must've thought to be a monster

Yin Delun glanced to his uncle, and watched as his mouth, framed by a greying beard and the scars he wore, began to move, whispering the words that carried down from the heavens simultaneously with it

The Unbroken Thunder's howl fell to his knees, clutching the prayer beads he kept around his mouth, as his whispers turned into feverish mantra. His eyes, flecked with tears, glowed with the fires of zealotry.

"Tch hah" Yin Delun Sighed "I suppose our conversation will have to continue at a later date uncle"
_

"Lieren?" Jinhai's voice curiously curled from the radio at your hip "I suppose this is your doing? If it is not too bothersome, could you tell me exactly what you're doing, my brother by oath and life? Half of my court has began to pray like the monks you teach and the rest are cowering in their quarters crying about the wrath of the heavenly courts!"
>>
>>5059402

"While it is somewhat amusing" Daiyu interrupted

"We were holding a council detailing the preparations for the coming war, allocating resources and regiments, and while I respect you above all men except the black general and my husband, I am" The empress coos, her honeyed words hiding poison "Am somewhat incensed by this mischief, as grand as it is, if only because you of all men should be"

"No, its me, I just wanted to see you in person" Kanzeon coos "Did you think I was a woman born of flesh and blood, dear Daiyuuuu"

And then the empress fainted from shock.
_

Daiyu, with still shaking and pale from the shock of Kanzeon's appearence, sits across from you and her avatar, besides her husband, who unlike her is admiring her construction rather than looking like she fears she'll be swept away on a river of living steel. Her attendants hold a silk bag holding chunks of ice to her head, while Jinhai pets her hand to keep her calm.

Kanzeon smirks. Daiyu looks to you with tired incredulity.

"Lieren. Kanzeon is a ship larger than any city" She states quietly

You nod

"She is older than the history of Shangrala" She says, closing her eyes

You nod, Kanzeon frowns

"She is born from a mass human sacrifice" She whispers

You nod after a moment of hesitation

"And...and Shangrala is not mankind's cradle?" She says, her voice wavering

You nod, She collaspes against Jinhai

"And you fell in love with her, before she made herself an avatar, meaning, you wed yourself to.." She mutters

"Kanzeon" You and Jinhai say in unison

"I feel like my head is about to burst open" Daiyu complains "None of this makes any sense"

"Oh, and Lieren chose to celebrate by recreating Dragons, among other extinct creatures native to your world" Kanzeon chirps, clearly enjoying herself a little too much

"WHAT!?" Daiyu cries out, more amazed then shocked now

"Please, Lady Kanzeon, stop shocking my wife, she'll faint again" Jinhai scolds the being many eons older than himself

"Sorry, Lieren's mischievous has rubbed off on me" Kanzeon says, bowing her head humbly

"Shouldn't this mean we don't have to worry about Nitya Sinha and his horde of barbarians?" Daiyu nearly shouts

Kanzeon's expression darkens, and she tells the emperor and his empress of Avalokiteśvara. And so the atmosphere turns from joyous to grim.

What do you do now, Lieren?

Only way to deal with Nitya is blitzkrieg, load up the entire army into Kanzeon and combat drop as close to chaos shipfu as possible.
Kanzeon focuses on suppressing her sister and shooting down any flying fortresses while the army and Lieren march in and kill her and Nitya while they are as unprepared as possible.
Only risk is if parts of his army break off to inflict war crimes/attack sister ships outside their borders as a spite fueled last act before defeat.
Also we just made neo women of stone Kanzeon a public fact for the planet, we must contact Dad and Malcador ASAP to tackle that political landmine before it has a chance to blow up. If we are lucky we can show up at Terra early enough to grant the Emperor massive boons that let him bend the hell out of the canon time line at worst.

But that makes it too easy!
>>

Since we are the second primarch both in name and found canonically, the emperor might show up with mechanicus, which means he and them find out about the new men of stone still being alive, which could make shit on Mars utterly hilarious.

Was that from when Lieren homed in on his one son who was meeting with Malcador and the Emperor? Servitors are common stuff and the Mechanicus was on Terra looting stuff when possible and selling their services and tech independently, so big E would certainly have a lot of Magi on payroll but he isn't the omnissiah with a eternal binding agreement with the cult mechanicum until the treaty of mars.
Honestly acausal warp bullshit could fuck us, Lieren could have traveled back in time two hundred years when he last talked to Dad and he could be a day from physically reaching Lieren in his crusade fleet.
>>
>>5059597
Fucking warp and it's time chamging bullshit.
Can't wait to find the other gods of order and start beating some rules into it.
Might have to mellow them out first though.
>>
>>5059597
Warp storms have stabilize enough in this period for travel safely across the stars for the most, otherwise the races of the galaxies wouldn't have been able to even exit their solar systems.
That said i don t think we are near enough for run to Terra, since Shangrila is a planet that was used by mankind to save it self from the rebellion. Being near the core systems of mankind it s not the best chances for survival, unless Shangrila system is hiding in plain sight. For example in a region of space that wasn't considered worth enough for prior human colonization efforts to happen on large scale or to happen at all.
It would be not that safe as well with one ship to do this travel, even if DAOT. There is plenty of pirates, slavers and worse in space right now. Fleets are needed.
>>
>>5059501
>The proof is they have access to servitors.
Servitors are ubiquitous across human civilizations with enough technology and memory of the Cybernetic Revolt. He hasn't met with the Mechanicus yet since Terra isn't unified. He secures Terra, then Luna, then Mars. He hasn't even done the first yet.

Canonically we are the third or fourth depending on how you take the latest alpharius book.

Also the emperor found most of the primarchs when they were in their 30s. so we got time still.

So this quest made new canon?
>>
>>5059729
no? that's how it always was in canon. The big question is if you buy alpherius saying he was found first and raised by malcador or not which makes horus second.

Canonically it's always been Horus, Leman, 2nd primarch as the first three found.

Also it depends on when we emerged from the warps since the emperor again found most of the primarchs in their 20s to early 30s.

And lieren's only just past 10.
>>
>>5059732
wait in the scene where Big E meets Lieren and Magnus, that doesnt count as finding them? Only communicating?

We should probably try to contact New Varro planet. They're a Fallout expy right? Power armor and pewpew lasers. Super soldier experiments, stable plasma weaponry, And hopefully pocket nukes with no fallout.

So this plan, I'm thinking we need to to engineer a biological weapon to contain their clone armies, but this sounds like pandora's box being opened. Maybe Kanzeon has a solution that doesn't involve complete environmental devastation.

It occurs to me that with a war on the horizon, we have three previous engagements that I think are going to be very important to remember, the Treachery of the Turtles, the battle with the Kabal of the Stellar Hunt, and our Duel with Be'Lakor. Each could've gone better for Lieren and each can serve as lessons for future instances of combat, so here they are.

The former's lessons are pretty obvious and have been discussed many times previous, so I'll be brief. We need to think about how our orders will affect our allies, not just our enemies, especially their ramifications outside of the battle.

The fight against the Dark Eldar is one I only realized was a gaffe after rereading. We lost nearly 600 people to kill 53 because we were unwilling to put our caution aside and deal with them ourselves. That is a revolting fuck-up in hindsight and it's entirely on us. The lesson here is that over planning something is just as deadly a mistake as under planning. Sometimes we need to take risks and seize initiative, lest we cost others their lives. Would have exterminating the Kabal without the artillery of the detachment we were sent have taken longer? Most likely. But a belief inextricable from who Lieren is is that the preservation of life should be prioritized. And in a war where our enemy both outnumbers us and can recoup their losses quicker than we can by orders of magnitude, we need to try to keep as many soldiers as we can alive.

The lesson of the Be'Lakor fight is slightly contentious and slightly more meta than the other two, though it is present in them as well. We cannot have our cake and eat it too. To a degree, we can pick the easy way to do things so long as we pay a price. But if we start picking or try to come up with a way that's TOO easy, it's gonna bite us in the ass and we're gonna get the opposite of what we wanted. We are not Coldsteel the Hedgehog. We will not be teleporting behind anyone and instakilling them with glorious nippon steel folded over 1.8 gorillion times.

>TLDR: Actually learn from our mistakes for the love of god.

I'm honestly not sure what you wanted us to do differently there beyond you know, spending months to years hunting them down by our selves.

There isn't really anything to learn from these anon. the dark eldar would have reaped an even heavier toll if we let them scurry about, belakor no one could have seen coming seeing as until then our warp experiments have been relatively safe. Lieren would have no expectation that he could rebirth a god by making the feel bad waves coalesce in a small area. As for the turtles, that is just the price of business anon, the kang still hate us despite being in the objective right and appeasing them and their heir. people will hate us and regret what we make them do eventually and their will be little to nothing we can do about it. such is the journey
>>
>>5060108
>belakor no one could have seen coming
he's referring to the fire cage trap and the ensuing monologuing with Belakor, not the folly that lead to the battle itself.
>>
>>5060063
There were 53 of them and we're a primarch. We killed three in 10 minutes while intentionally trying to be slow and methodical so we could learn their language. I can't fathom how you'd think it'd take years.

>There isn't really anything to learn from these anon.
This is wrong, both in-character and ooc.
>the dark eldar would have reaped an even heavier toll if we let them scurry about
All of them were in a single place, we'd only have had to make a scene and they'd all come to us.

See >>5060109
>As for the turtles, that is just the price of business anon, the kang still hate us despite being in the objective right and appeasing them and their heir
The Kang being butthurt isn't the issue. The issue is that through our short sightedness, our allies suffered needlessly.
>despite being in the objective right
There's no such thing, and if you want to look at it from their point of view, we were a lowborn usurper who used trickery and deceit to overthrow the lord who raised us up into a position of power and the rightful dynasty who facilitated such a thing. We had the moral high ground and made the best choice for the people of Yan, undeniably. But that isn't what you're saying.
>their will be little to nothing we can do about it
The whole point is that there is, in fact, something we can do about it. We can learn from past mistakes. I don't know if your stance is that we can't learn from them or if we didn't make them in the first place, but neither is true.

I guess you take the stance of fuck the people who they had taken and tortured. Which I should remind you we found even MORE after the army killed them all.

Jinhai and Daiyu, upon learning that the gravest threat to worldwide prosperity and peace upon Shangrala, and in particular the Long-Jian way of life, need to rest upon the couch Kanzeon created for her avatar of living flesh and blood. Jinhai because he was struck by the same dread that fell over your mind when you reflected on the war to come, and Daiyu out of fear for her children and people. Their attendants, those who have no fated or gone catatonic from the shock of learning the true might of the Vishnu Kingdom, aid Kanzeon in her attempts to rouse them from their mutual stupors, bringing tea, burning incense, offering medicine intended to cure depression and raise spirits. Daiyu refuses all offer except for a massage of her shoulders suggested by one of her handmaidens, while Jinhai mutters a command to bring him Dragon Spit muddled in Roasted Oolong tea. After his demand has been met, both are centered and calm enough to return to the conversation and discussion at hand.

"We face a catastrophe worse than that averted by valiant Cao Yunru" Jinhai states grimly, eyes dark with the ferocity of a father and king seeing his children and charges threatened by a seeming unconquerable foe "We must act decisively, end Nitya Sinha's tyranny as we have so many others, with a single strike. But we cannot reach our hands around his neck, for he sits beyond a sea of motherless warriors and technology as wonderous as that from which Kanzeon is constructed and born from"

"We have an advantage on that front" Kanzeon says with a confident smirk "Unlike my wayward sister, I have taken the technology of the Eldar, and there are a few of their number under Lieren's protection"

"the same race that raided us from the stars?" Jinhai questions, tilting his head quizzically like a dog might when called to in an unfamiliar tone "I suppose that makes sense, no species is wholly malevolent or righteous"

"Humanity serves as an excellent example of that truth" Daiyu says, sighing contentedly as her stress is eased and worked away from her shoulders and back "But, from the Rifle that Bai the white tiger took from the victory at Heaven's warning writ in thunder, that was of their design was it not? It seems like an excessively cruel tool, which certainly speaks of these Elders' innate nature"

Kanzeon winces, wearing a truly hideous expression as she is forced to defend the Good Aeldari from asociation with the bad.

"A different civilization" She mutters "The one's Lieren guards are, adherents of the Journey. He'd be happy to explain how that came about, I'm sure"

"But we should talk about the Aeldari when they play no part in the discussion at hand" You say with a nod of your head "We're concerned with Nitya Sinha and his blood crazed Bride. Kanzeon and I have personally met both, and Jinhai is right to foretell a catastrophe of unimaginable scale"

"You have a plan, don't you?" Daiyu asks tiredly, eyes distant but hopeful, as she was when you spared her untainted kin, a youthful burning hope surrounded by the shadows of fear "You always have a plan, you cut through the bone devouring fortress, took the capital in a night, killed Kamal Kanan and crushed his kingdom. You must have a trick or scheme ready to lure the butcher king to his doom"

Jinhai nodded in agreement, holding his wife's hand and pressing it just above his own heart.

"I can hear his thoughts as readily as my own" Kanzeon says solemnly "He has a plan, but it took both of us working tirelessly to even establish one approach to defeat the bastard, let alone several"

Jinhai glances to you, eyes narrowed and sharp. He is wearing the mask of an emperor.

"Then Nitya Sinha is even more treacherous of a foe than I thought" He states proudly, his compliment causing your cheeks to flush scarlet and warm.

"You honor me, Long-Jia Jinhai, my brother and emperor" You say, cupping your fists together as you bow "I would tell both you and Empress Daiyu how I plan to overcome Nitya Sinha and his endless forces, but first I would like to aproach you both with an offer and Daiyu with an apology"

"I was the one who made her faint" Kanzeon sighs through her teeth, closing her eyes as Daiyu smiled and shook her head

"And there would be no need for either of your to apologize, Lieren has a taste for theatrics, after all" She states, mockingly imitating your habit of lashing your arm outwards "And grand displays, despite his humble nature. I'd be almost disappointed if he allowed or forced you to be subdued in the announcement of your true nature, Kanzeon. After all, I remember clearly the day he executed my father, he scared half of his guests to death by his entrance alone. Besides, Jade like beauties like yourself are allowed to bask in the admiration of the masses from time to time"

"Tch" Kanzeon clicks her tongue, looking away bashfully "I suppose that is true"

"Then why have you not?" Jinhai asks his wife, that simple question turning her face redder than Wei's beard.

"That, I" Daiyu stumbles, before she shakes her head "Lets get this done with before we distract ourselves from the serious and pressing matter at hand, what is your offer, Lieren, so we can know you scheme to hang the butcher king"

Jinhai looks hopelessly confused by his wife's embarrassment.

"Well, I was going to offer to watch the three young heirs as penance for the shock and panic Kanzeon's arrival back to Shangrala caused" You say, unable to hide your mirth and amusement, grinning in the way that has often been called "terrifying" by even your closest confidants and friends "But as I do not need to apologize as you said, I will not present it as a gift to earn your forgiveness but rather as an Uncle who wants to care and guard his kin. But the second and more serious offer"

You clap your hands together

"Is to show the first emperor and empress of Long-Jia, two of my dearest friends, the same cosmic beauty that my beloved Kanzeon has shown to me" You state, parting your hands and throwing your arms apart from each other "To give you a tour of the heavens above Shangrala, to take you and your attendants both to the shore of the sea of stars"

"That is poetic for he wants to show you space' Kanzeon teases, though both of them, being native Long-Jians, could more easily understand your elegantly worded proclamation than her simplification and deflowering of it

before Daiyu can part her lips, Jinhai shouts his answer excitedly
-

You stand besides your brother, friend, student, former guard and emperor. His eyes are filled with stars, and seas of cosmic gasses, he is lost in the beauty of the universe, his unique perspective on the world allowed to see beyond it and upon a thousand others. Daiyu stands beside him, clearly soothed by the sheer joy and rapture her husband is experiencing at the mere sight of reality beyond the fog of Shangrala. Though it is clear both are still consumed by their dread of the butcher king's power.

Kanzeon stares sadly at the fields of debris and long wrecked ships.

"Did you know them?" Daiyu asks quietly, solemly

Kanzeon smirks and shakes her head

"they were just machines, vehicles. I knew who piloted them. They were the escorts given to lead me and my sisters to the world's we would remake and repopulate with human lives. They did not survive their arrival, but I knew they would have given their lives and that of their crew to save even one of us" Kanzeon says sorrowfully, thinking of her lost sisters Albina and Philotes "They weren't alive like I am, just metal piloted by human hands. This is no grave, its a salvage yard, as unlike me, none of these wrecks had a soul"

Daiyu nods

"Sorry if I offended you" She mutters, flustered by the mistake she made

"Don't be" Kanzeon laughs "Besides, if we can gather these materials, Shangrala will be richer than most other planets"

"Like a seal of a pearls and gems, set upon black silk interwoven with strings dyed all the colors of the living world" Jinhai gasps in awe "Beauty beyond words, the birthright of humanity. The true heavenly court"

His eyes flare with conviction as he clenches the hand he pressed onto the viewing screen into a fist

"And I see no gods here, only the trail left behind by my ancestors" He proclaims powerfully "The inheritance of mankind, the domain we once held and commanded"

And for a moment

In his place, you do not see the guardsmen who you met at the Gao family's palace. But instead your own father and creator, resplendent in golden armor. Your breath escapes your lungs, and becomes a gasp of admiriation and awe

And then Jovial Jinhai returns

"I will have to move my palace up here, should I live long enough for such a thing to be possible" He laughs, clapping his hands together before adopting the manner of a ruler once more

"So, My grand architect, my elder brother. How do you plan to kill the man who threatens my kith and kin?"

You close your eyes, imagining the wars fought by your sons and their cousins upon distant terra. Of the noble warrior Dae-hyun, who stood before you like a child, seeking and hoping for your approval with tears in his one organic eye, wheezing his breath through crude artificial lungs, and who was overcome by joy when you gave it to him alongside your respect and wisdom.

What is your plan, Lieren?

>Unearth one of Kanzeon's living and uncorrupted sisters, either Mari or Al-uzza and seek their aid in crushing the Kong Nue aligned Vishnu's advantage in terms of aerial and mechanized warfare. Dominante the skies and rain down hell.

>Though you know it will damn you, the populace of all of Long-Jia could not overcome to sheer numbers Nitya Sinha commands. Tell Jinhai of cloning, and shoulder the weight of the sin of creating men to die for the good of mankind. Match numbers with numbers

>Your one advantage is Aeldari derived technology and psykerism. As the former is far more wide spread than the latter, adapt the tactics of the army to fit their new tools rather than their old. And ensure that all regiments are equipped with the most advance weaponry. And recruit psykers into the imperial army. Elegant cunning to overcome brute forces

>The Vishnu expect you to wait for them to perform their ritualized declaration of war. Broadcast the horrors of their tyranny to the entirety of Long-Jia, and through propaganda and manipulation, have the people demand war. Then, before the Vishnu can react, strike first and hard. A sucker punch wins a fight more often than not.

>>
>>5060790
If they do, than it means a bunch of potential recruits for the wanderers.
Which sister should we try to save first? Mari, is intact and just need to be dug out, but with the prophecy and the fact ahe trapped herself and her been broadcatsinf signals, there may be a daemon corruption there.
Uzza is easily acessible, but heavily damage, probably would take a lot of time and resources to repair, maybe even nees to scrap another sister for it, and may not be ready before the war.
I'm personally thinking of going to Mari, but I'm not completly sure.
>>
>>5060820

No, gods were just that one time. Daemons we’ve been killing without help for a while. Be’lakor was an outlier, partially because he’s about as close to a god as you can get and partially because of sub-par decision making skills
>We have every reason to ask for help when dealing with Chaos shit
No, we don’t. Making Lieren daddy’s special boy who gets rescued every time he makes a mistake is stupid. Treating the Emperor like a glowing golden safety net is stupid. Thinking we need help against anything other than the first and most powerful daemon prince or the direct attention of a chaos god is stupid.

Some of our Eldar comrades are bonesingers, lets put them to work making wraithbone items like swords, spears and shields.
Kanzeon can hoover up the earth around Mari and produce her own items too. Like mechas.

Primarch mechas.

Calling the vote now.

Unearth one of Kanzeon's living and uncorrupted sisters, either Mari or Al-uzza and seek their aid in crushing the Kong Nue aligned Vishnu's advantage in terms of aerial and mechanized warfare. Dominate the skies and rain down hell.:21

The Vishnu expect you to wait for them to perform their ritualized declaration of war. Broadcast the horrors of their tyranny to the entirety of Long-Jia, and through propaganda and manipulation, have the people demand war. Then, before the Vishnu can react, strike first and hard. A sucker punch wins a fight more often than not.: 3

Your one advantage is Aeldari derived technology and psykerism. As the former is far more wide spread than the latter, adapt the tactics of the army to fit their new tools rather than their old. And ensure that all regiments are equipped with the most advance weaponry. And recruit psykers into the imperial army. Elegant cunning to overcome brute forces:18

Tow the wreakage from above to rain from the heavens upon them, metal smashing down from the skies shattering the enemy:3
-Tell me brother... would you think me a monster if...:3

When hunting a larger beast then oneself, the hunter must first strike vulnerable areas to cripple it before the kill. While your trusted allies prepare Long-Jia for war, you will infiltrate the Vishnu capital and destroy Avalokiteśvara’s cloning facilities and self-repair systems. Kanzeon has even mentioned a new kind of transport for you to utilize in this endeavor. A “drop pod?”:2

Though you know it will damn you, the populace of all of Long-Jia could not overcome to sheer numbers Nitya Sinha commands. Tell Jinhai of cloning, and shoulder the weight of the sin of creating men to die for the good of mankind. Match numbers with numbers:1

Total votes:25

So your plan is to Unearth one of Kanzeon's living and near sisters and to adapt the tactics of the imperial army to fit their new tools/weapons, derived from the technology of old humanity or Aeldari, and introducing psykers into its ranks, but only those with the strongest of wills and self mastery.

Opening your eyes, the specter of your distant, heroic son fades away as you stare into the scenic view of the universe Jinhai had been so enamored and awed by. And further yet, into the terrible eye that still haunts your brother Perturabo and countless others. The folly of the Eldar, as Kanzeon names it. You take a deep, ponderous breath, tracking its path from your throat and down into your lungs as you raise up your chest and bow your head. The same people that caused such devastation in their past shall in part provide the means of salvation your people desperately need. A dark storm is gathering upon the horizon, one that will make the bleakest of winter night's seem like the carefree days of spring and summer. A war, raged not for ideals, philosophy, freedom, religion, greed, or even ambition. A war with no purpose greater than mass slaughter and sowing death. A war waged by the thralls of the High Minister of Murder, in his name and honor. A completely senseless and pointless conflict, waged and born by the blackened, withered hearts of two beings broken by the abuse and oppression they suffered, no matter if it was truly carried out or merely a product of imaginations fueled by lunacy and pride. A war against those who should have been your family and in another life could've been your friend.

But there is no use morning what could've been. Nitya Sinha and Avalokiteśvara, Groom and Bride, are both monstrous tyrants, whose crimes are so numerous and terrible, the only punishment that is fitting for both is execution. Their actions are unforgiveable, more so than even the Yan Degenerates. Even good men can commit deeds so foul that the only recourse is their death, like Tao Song. The Butcher King and the self named Iron goddess of war, shall be no different than the legions of criminals who now follow your every step as ghosts and memories.

Allowing the breath to escape past your lips, you turn to Jinhai.

"The plan Kanzeon and I have conceived, is two fold and preparatory in nature" You explain solemnly and professionally, with little emotion or flair in your tone and enunciation "It shall begin with a reform of the army tactics, which I trust the Five Kings of War to be able to adapt to and carry out flawlessly, and expect the less storied and famed generals to follow their examples quickly and efficiently. Kanzeon will increase her production of the ancient and alien weaponry that have already begun to see use, so that the whole of the army can utilize the treasures left behind by both our ancestors and the slave takers. The stratagems and tactics of all of Long-Jia's armies shall be remade around these new killing tools and vehicles, as traditional warfare is abandoned in favor for a new and more efficient form of conduct and battle"

"Will she be able to produce enough? Particularly of the Elder weapons?" Jinhai questions, with an austere manner and tone, eyes focused into yours without irritation or fear

"As I understand it, that is the one advantage we hold over the Vishnu. The wonderous machines, Paralyzing whips and Darklight weaponry she has given to us"

"It'd be difficult for me to do so alone, and that is not the only advantage we have over the bastard offspring of my bitch sister" Kanzeon says with a cool grace despite the vitriol that is seeping past her lips "And both the challenges I'd face in manufacturing a supply that could arm the ever growing army you command, and the other, mysterious advantage we realized have been taken into consideration"

"The Vishnu fear sorcery, and abhor it, as all nations besides the Shuni do" Daiyu says quietly "But, Lieren keeps the company of sages, priests, and occultists, and has made a sanctuary for them and marks almost all he carries or creates in charms, including the gifts he gave to my children. Is that the second advantage?"

Jinhai nods, knowing the truth of spirits and chaos, for the good of the kingdom, its people and both of their future

"Against the Shuni Zealots, I utilized illusions and tricks to overcome their mastery of heretical sorcerous arts" You say, lifting your chin "And the power I wield and teach to my mystical companions is not magic, it is psykerism, power of the soul and will. The Shuni borrowed and bargained for their power with the most wicked of rites. Though, without proper training pyskerism is as dangerous as any sorcery, but if practiced by minds possessing both naturally strong wills further bolstered via training such as meditation it can be wielded as safely as any spear or shield"

"So you propose to introduce these psykerists into the imperial army?" Daiyu asks

You nod

"How many regiments could we muster?" Jinhai asks a second later

"Few, and they would be smaller than proper battalions, similar to the auxiliary and support brigades, such as the White Lotus Medics, Shan's engineers, or Shirong's steel birds, or Tao Dandan's beloved heavy artillery battalions" You answer "but these few would possess a power so potent, it would rival Dandan's firestorm orchestra. Why, one of my youngest students, before her training, massacred a bandit clan with a few gestures of her wrists and manifestation of her will. And another, when his powers awoke, wipe his village from the map by sheer accident"

"Courts above" Jinhai gasp, biting on the back of his hand to hide his shock, before an amused smirk passes across his lips behind his fingers "Funny, how our enemies named us sorcerers and witches, but now we plan to actually use powers similar to those they insultingly claimed we resorted to as we fought for our freedom"

"I don't find it amusing, its terrifying as I know Lieren would not exaggerate. To think there are people who possess such terrible might" Daiyu says, repressing a shiver as she imagines the scenes you described briefly and without the gruesome details you well know, for her sake and Jinhai's.

"Worry not, all of my students are adherents of the Journey, and young Meixiu will not be drafted. I refuse to expose children to the horrors of true warfare. Even if the girl born as a natural disaster has proven herself stronger than Shuni mystics" You assure Daiyu and her husband "Now, my plan to supply the imperial armies demands for Aeldari armor, weaponry and inspired vehicles, alongside ensuring a reserve of the ancient vehicles and weapons Kanzeon has also produced to replace lost and damaged instances of both is rather simple in concept but supremely difficult in execution"

"Unearthing my sister Mari or my sister Al-uzza, the mothers of the Bask and Shuni people, both, whom unlike Nitya's bitch are still themselves and in their right minds" Kanzeon says coldly "The difficult my darling scholar mentions, Jinhaaai, is that Mari is buried beneath the ice caps of the Bask free republic and Al-Uzza is under the capital of old Shuni Kingdom, and is...gravely injured and leaking dangerous energies. Specifically Empyrean Radiation"

"And we have reason to believe Mari has sealed herself to lock away a grave threat to the bask people and the world at large" You add, Kanzeon nodding her head.

"I see" Jinhai states, before turning to Daiyu "What do you think, My empress?"

"Even if I disagreed with Lieren's plans, he wouldn't listen to our combined authority and would devout all of his energy and personal resources into achieving his goals. It is simply how he acts when he believes something is necessary for spread and cultivation of prosperity, which is above all else, the responsibility he bears upon his back" Daiyu states dully, smirking mischievously as glances to you "So, my advice is to let him do it, so we can officially support him and supply him with whatever resources he requires"

Jinhai chuckles

"How did you manage to speak my thoughts so clearly, my love" He says with a playful sneer "Well, your empress haas given her mandate, Lieren, All you must do is act. And Kanzeon?"

Jinhai grins widely as he turns to your partner and places a hand upon his breast

"Can we linger in the heavens for awhile longer? The view up here among the stars is simply enchanting" He says.

Kanzeon just smiles and shrugs her shoulders, but follows his humble request happily

What will you focus your efforts on, Lieren?

>Traveling to the Bask lands, meet with their new government to seek permission to unearth Mari and explain the dangers you risk doing so, and the dangers of you being denied your request as well

>Venture into Al-uzza, and face whatever dangers and monsters have been spawned by her bleeding heart in her eons of confinement and solitude.

>Train the wanderers in the fog as warriors and soldiers, but only the adult and strong willed, and trained of their number. And command the sects memberships and its Aeldari guests to seek out new recruits and disciples to expand its number.

Reposting what Kanzeon scanners found last thread to help people choose

The first, is marking the location of Kanzeon's sisters who remain lost. It takes moments for Kanzeon's repaired sensors to locate her kin across the vastness of Shangrala, presenting a map larger than any painted by mortal hands. And so, the integrity and health of her sisters are at last revealed to you. Kuan Im and Avalokiteśvara have no surprises to make. Kuan Im's signs reveal her "death", but judging from the readings taken it could easily be repaired or salvaged if one could circumvent the "Empyrean Radiation" that soaks her body, abandoned like the skin of a shedding snake. Avalokiteśvara has had her engines crippled, alongside approximately 60% of her automated defenses, alongside other, insignificant damages.
>Al-Uzza, is in dire straights. She has suffered many wounds and failures of her internal systems from her landing, more than those Kanzeon herself suffered. Particularly, her "Core" has suffered heavy damages, explaining the thinning of reality around Kamal Kanan's seat of power and the vast quantities of magical beast that still haunt the countryside of the Shuni provinces. She is bleeding, and any facilities she could use to repair herself need repairing.

>Mari, is surprisingly, nearly completely unharmed. However, she is also beneath several miles of ice and stone and has been broadcasting a warning signal for approximately a decade less than when Kuan Im betrayed her purpose and forsake her name to become the wretch Huli Jing. That bodes ill. Especially with the knowledge that it is Mari who has trapped herself beneath the ice and turned the Bask region's environment frigid.

And now the prophecies
>The panther shall face the giant upon a red field beneath a red sun, clearly a reference to yourself or another of the brothers of the panthers number battling against. Nitya Sinha, Kanzeon or yourself
>The Sun shall be swallowed by a serpent, which must be referring Kamal Kanon, his hellish arts, and his wild ambitions
>From ice, a harbinger of sickness emerges. A plague to come? perhaps a cadaver buried in the ice and snow of the south. Easily averted and possibly already solved when one takes the improvements of Long-Jia's Medicine and cleanliness.
>The fox gnaws its own leg to spite the hunter. Huli Jing, another may fear Yan Zihao and his family, however you have seen into their hearts and found nothing to fear within them.

The third one is the most relevant right now, Mari may get corrupted soon, or a grater daemon consumes it cores and manifest fully.

Guozhi and the Eldar can handle psyker recruitment and the Kings of War can handle the army reforms. Jinhai is even better than us at the Carp style, the elite soldiers will be very well trained regardless if we're there or not. Staunching the flow of Al-Uzza's reactor would be nice though... You get what I mean. It's high time we started taking the fight to Nurgle again.
Better we do it sooner rather than later anyhow, I'm willing to bet he's been cooking up something nasty for Lieren ever since he cleansed the Keeper of Rust.
>>
>>5061242
I have to wonder how Lieren would feel about using chemical and biological agents against hostile combatants.
While it's probably the height of dishonor as far as the average Long-Jia general is concerned, if it doesn't have any lasting ecological impact, it might be something he'd consider.
>>
>>5061328
Considering how the burglite nation fell because of an indirect revolution, compared on how entrenched the other god's corruption have been on the other nations, its very probable that Nurgle's chosen is preparing something downright nasty to make up for it.
>>
>>5061332
He was very repulsed by the Drukhari weaponry, and both the road-dragon and the keepr of rust, so most likely he would be opposes to it except in the most dire emergencies, and only as a last resort.
And biological and chemical agents that would be used for large scate attacks would have to have the hability to mutate, and therefore get out of hand, so it's not like they are very safe either.
>>
>>5061338
I guess that's a firm "no" on Promethium then.
That's a damn shame. Lieren and Vulkan would probably get along famously otherwise.

Imperial Scholars would later label this a tragic mishap for which the attending Mechanicus personnel were harshly reprimanded.

Have a Steel Bird drop steel rods with attached seals and pages of the journey in the Shuni capital ruins, where Kazeon has located Al Uzza entrance.
It should be secure enough, and one Steel Bird is fairly rapid. As well just one.
We can t be in two places at once, but perhaps this will slow the energies of hell ?
And inform Jinhai that Nintya wants to personally kill him, better keep him on guard when the war starts. Beside since we are on Kanzeon ship, this is a good time for him to grab some new equip from the armory.

>>
>>5061399
We probably could exorcise a daemon with the Journey. We just haven't had the chance to try yet. This war will probably give us ample test subjects though. I don't know if Nitya and Avalokiteśvara are possessed, but we did mention trying to purify the latter. I do kinda hope we become the Ordo Hereticus primarch though. At the rate Magnus is going he might give us a run for our money.
>>
>>5061402
We definitely need to make an attempt, but what I'm proposing is that we take advantage of the influence belief has on the Warp and make everyone believe it's possible in the first place. Simple rumors are enough, but perhaps staging a few exorcisms would cement it in people's minds. It also helps that we have a ton of psykers who could actually exorcise demons by themselves.

It's not about russ being a barbarian, it's about a complete clash of styles. Near everything russ didn't like in magnus is amplified in lieren, and the fact that lieren speaks in nothing but riddles would grate hin as much as it did perty. >>
>>5061644
>Near everything russ didn't like in magnus is amplified in lieren
What Russ didn't like about Magnus was, in addition to the fact the Thousand Sons full sent use of the warp and psykers (tuletaries, percieved lack of oversight or restraint, etc.), that Magnus treated Leman like an ignorant, unwashed retard who had no idea what he was talking about. Magnus was arrogant, self-assured, and thought he knew best because of his powers. He had a bad habit of leaving allies to do the dirty work while he and his legion investigated some artifact or repository of knowledge. Russ HATED this and saw Magnus and the XVth as unreliable, inconstant allies, a potential threat to the Imperium, and generally insufferable. Well. Leiren could just act more direct and less flowery.

Or we could challenge him to a fight. We're a melee focused fighter, so even if we don't win we'll still earn his respect.

Also we've fought Belakor so we've at least got experience fighting peer/greater skill opponents.

We can give him wolf themed gear.

Lastly we could just go out for a drink with him. It should be at least somewhat effective.

Don't see the point since it'll do nothing to solve the biggest problem with Lieren trying to approach Al-uzza. The mountainous lands of the bask are bitterly cold. A land of tundras and vast expanses of snow and frost blanketed fields, no matter the season the weather mimics the harshest winters of Long-Jia. Yet, life flourishes here as well, beneath forests of old pines and across fields webbed and broke apart by almost perpetually frozen streams. The demeanor of the locals, in sharp contrast to their environment, is nearly overly warm and welcoming. Word had been sent ahead, informing the whole of the ascendant republic that has risen from ashes of the corrupted monarchy that proceeded them of your arrival and intentions to meet with the ruling council of elected local and regional leaders.

And how the people rejoiced. The border had a veritable legion of pilgrims, dressed in an odd mixture of Long-Jian fashion and traditional Bask attire, the additions of Long-Jianese jewelry and clothing clearly being an attempt at making you feel welcome as if their gregarious approach complete with a merry if strange seeming dance had no made you keenly aware of the joy the people felt to have their nation be host to the writer of the book they now held as holy gospel. The hats there wear, however are most peculiar.

Boneta, they call them. Soft, flat, shapeless and with a singular string rising from its crown, the bask wear them in many vibrant colors that stand starkly against the dull and often monochrome surroundings of their homelands. While language is not an issue, as you have long since learned and become fluent in the Bask tongue, it is both greatly intriguing and amusing to hear the translations of the various teachings, lessons and idioms of the journey spoken to you breathlessly and excitedly. It speaks of Gao Qiqiang's great intellect and deeply personal understanding of the Journey's message and core tenants that he was able to preserve not only their obvious meaning and purpose, but also the subtle symbolism and layers of wisdom revealed by reflection and repeated study of a singular passage!

Truly, he, like Daiyu, is an example that a lotus can blossom from even the muddiest, most befouled of fields. This vibrant, ecstatic welcome is repeated through every city you pass by, which you find to also be, despite their resent war, resplendent and not only well maintained but also well decorated. Each building lending a splash of color and vibrancy to the otherwise bleak landscape of the Bask lands. But, judging from the changes in architectural design and the freshness of the paint adorning even the oldest of the buildings, this colorful expression of hope in a bleak world has only become popular since the fall of the stagnant rule of the local tyrants.

But, you do admire the efficiency of taking their castles and forts, and turning them into homeless shelters, hospitals or monasteries. You visit a few with Kanzeon, on your Journey to the heart of the Bask nation.

Which of course is its new capital being built in the village where Gao Qiqiang first met his disciple Elazar Burueliza, who went on to lead his people to cast aside their chains and topple their cruel masters from their seats of power. Kanzeon looks beneath the new frescos for signs of Mari's status and health, while you admire the new wall and ceiling spanning paintings which tell a visual story of the rebellion. Usually in Gao Qiqiang's arrival and the various leaders of the revolution meeting him or Elazar and converting to the Journey and escaping some terrible fate through following its teachings. Though, just as common is ordinary workers and field laborers adhering to the principles of the Journey in their day to day lives.

However, one particular artwork more baffles you than anything else. Its title is roughly translated into "Battle for freedom's birth", and it is a depiction of the war against the Yan tyrants. A depiction whose artist has taken many liberties and did not allow the truth to impede his stylistic choices.

You, stand in the traditionally full plate of the Bask, painted white and whose helmet is decorated with a blooming Lotus flower, with a azure and plum triangle swallow tailed banner in one hand, and a lance whose guard is shaped like a panther's open maw in the other. Impressively, they captured the image of your still nameless steed near perfectly, complete with the violent stallion biting into the arm of an unfortunate, rather racist depiction of a Yan soldier. The soldiers that charge around this strange Knightly vision of yourself, are dressed not as any Yan or Long-Jian footsoldier you have ever seen. But rather as knights and cavaliers, with wide brimmed hats adorned with feathers and the odd style of swords favored by the bask people. There is not a spear in sight, and the firearms the painter has drawn are incredibly ornate to the point of over extravagance. Carved in the shape of odd reptilian creatures with wings with snouts that vaguely resembles a dragon's, spewing flame. At times it seems like they are meant to be living creatures rather than weapons.

How odd.

You study this painting for some time, trying to pick out recognizable faces amidst its chaotic and heavily populated scenes of brutal violence. You quickly find the trick is to look at the tops of their full face helmets, particularly if a decoration adorns it. You found that only important figures have such ornate armor in this art, and easily deduce what symbol belongs to which of your fellow liberators.

Lai song being the most easily spotted amongst the rabble and chaos of the piece. As his helmet is ostentatiously shaped into the form of a snarling horse's head. Which you are certain the man himself would wear if it would not make him the laughing stock of the whole imperial army.
Cont

>>5061987

Kanzeon finds the painting more a source of hilarity than intrigue, and has to keep from looking at it to avoid offending the painter by laughing at it until she ran out of breath

Thankfully, the trek to the yet unbuilt capital of the Bask republics is a short journey, as it is not far from the border, so the distractions posed by the local culture, customs and artwork are insubstantial, though you do find the local music and cuisine quite enjoyable even though you balk at the feasts every town tries to throw in your honor as you near its borders.

In fact, you leave several villages with new holidays and festivals just to celebrate you brief and ultimately uneventful stay within their walls, besides the dances you have with Kanzeon, who is rather taken by the ritualistic and traditional dances of the bask people. One even begins to build a statue of you, to place besides the one they have already built of their founders and Gao Qiqiang.

The new capital is a simple farming community, which, besides its new constructions, only defining feature is the white stone church constructed around a tree that the old religion followed by the nobility considered holy. And, much like the majority of Bask's nobles, it has been burned. Now the once pearl white church is blackened with soot and ash. And, according to what one of the men who lit it aflame, the bones of several of the local barons and knights still lay inside of its, buried under ash, timber, and stone.

It is a somber sight to behold. A messenger, who speaks near perfect Long-Jian, informs you and Kanzeon that Elazar and his peers expect to meet you in an audience over dinner, after a discussion of the continued and increased import of Long-Jian technology and other commodities. The man, who has a well groomed and oddly thick mustache that is more comparable to those worn by the men of New Varro than those of Long-Jia, Shuni or Vishnu.

The man recommends you enjoy the sights and plainly hopes you will read to the people a few passages from your personal copy of the Journey judging from his comments and glances. Which would be pleasing exercise certain to further the growing bond between your two cultures

However, you cannot allow yourself such a comforting reprieve when you know you must soon all be threaten the rulers of this fine nation into allowing you to unearth and free Mari from the ice of its southernmost regions. Mari has been broadcasting a warning for countless generations and went so far in her efforts to contain whatever threat she had met that she froze the entirety of the bask region.

Oh, you could lie, claim that in freeing Mari the bask region will become warm, verdant and fertile like Long -Jia, but you refuse to deceive such upstanding and noble people when you know that the duty that has brought you here will almost certainly endanger them and could cause a calamity unmatched in recent memory.

It's always slightly hypocritical, or at least rather damning when a savior and breaker of chains says "I'm strong enough that nothing you do will stop me, because you are weaker than me." I would really rather not tell them that they "cannot stop us". It is completely unfair to spring that shit on them.
They have every right to refuse, and we have no right to force the issue.
Especially when we could just dig up Al-uzza instead.
Let's convince them with actual arguments, and not thinly veiled threats.
>>
>>5062161
We have every right to force the issue. It is a battle against the lord of bloodshed and his mortal champion upon shangrala, and Mari can be vital to the efforts of our survival as well as that of prosperity.

Refusal to permit this action wont stop us, simply make us act covertly instead of directly. So it is best to be up front about it.
>>
>>5062172
>It is a battle against the lord of bloodshed
Which they have nothing to do with, and can choose to peace out with if they want to. I know, why don't we describe what a terrible threat Nitya is to both of us instead of threatening the poor Bask?
>Mari can be vital to the efforts of our survival as well as that of prosperity
Again, Al-uzza is like, right there.
>Refusal to permit this action wont stop us, simply make us act covertly instead of directly.
That is true, but it is no reason to pull this shit on them when we have both a perfectly good alternative and good reasons to convince them with.
My only issue is the argument basically, not that we should not dig Mari up if they refuse.
>>
>>5062179
Every living thing on the planet has something to do with this war. Those who sit it out die second. But that's not the point of my original comment, the point is that this is an existential foe in which most actions which are otherwise reprehensible are acceptable and inaction is effectively treason.

Al-Uzza is not a viable alternative to Mari. Mari is basically untouched and just needs pulling out.
Al-Uzza is ruined, with her heart ripped open, her repair systems ruined and her body is more badly damaged than Kanzeon was. Repairing her is a much much much more costly endevour, if you remember how much it took for us to repair her individually and all that is without factoring in the dangers of warp radiation so close to the source.
So no, She's not a viable or swift replacement to digging up Mari.

That being said, if we only said "you can't stop us anyway" would make it a veiled threat. Telling them "I'm going to do it, even if you tell me not to but I am giving you this courtesy to keep you informed and promise that no calamity will befall you" is not.
It's underlining the pressing and vital nature of our task and including them in it's execution.
>>
>>5062194
>Mari is basically untouched and just needs pulling out.
...pulling out from underneath "several miles of ice and stone". Hardly a fast endeavour.
And that is on top of whatever she has got brewing inside of her, which could range from a quick fight with a daemon to basically a second front in Bask lands. I don't recall any hard evidence as to what exactly she is keeping locked away, but assuming that it will be fast to deal with is not wise.
But I have no intension of dying on this hill. For what it's worth, I agree that Mari will probably be faster to get out regardless, but I would not dismiss Al-uzza as an alternative. This time, we have another ship to help with repairs after all.

But my main point is that there is no need for threats, which the fourth option very much is.
By saying "even if they do not give [us] their blessing, they cannot stop [us]" we are essentially implying that we will do it anyway, even if they refuse, against their direct wishes, because they can do nothing to stop us. The rest is just fluff, and means nothing when we straight up tell them we will ignore them if the refuse.
To me, it doesn't come off as courteous or realistic, but rather cynical and arrogant.
There is no need to resort to strong arming when the Bask have very real incentives to agree to our request, beyond just "you can't stop us".
I think we should focus on telling them those reasons.

We just pulled Kanzeon from under a mountain, we can dig.
What we don't know is if we can repair Uzza's damage fast.

I think we should spend time in the other nations after cleaning up Chaos and fixing the ships.
>>

Agreed. Once the entire planet has been brought up to prosperous standards,we can focus on the space debris. But what should we do planet wise?
Should we slowly introduce those super nutritious crops into the world? Should we create a manufactorum? Space elevators?
Oh yeah, ae should totally remove the chaos warp threat from the planet entirely, sealing off any breaches or thinnings in the fabric of reality. Perhaps finally building back up that monestary.

I was thinking. You guys know how unconscious believe and psyker mind magics work right? Assuming Lieren lives long enough, and enough people start worshipping Lieren and Kanzeon, what will happen to them? I assume a very slight psyker boost in potency? Performing miracles?

Speaking of the wife, when Shangrala and the space around it has been settled, we will probably have to do some refurbishing to Kanzeon's body, possibly make it larger if possible? Maybe make her body the size of a Gloriana-class Battleship if she isnt that thicc already (unf, she h e a v y). Perhaps we could improve upon the teleportation technology to make more seamless boarding actions against enemy ships? Begin stocking up on something close to GaoT tier suits of PA for when we finally meet our sons? Speaking of family, how are we going to introduce our sons to their "mother?" How are we going to get the emperor's approval? Because we're working with the eldar, and possibly other xenos species, would he be willing to look the other way if we can help with the human web way project?

Guilliman is an approved figure of worship by the Ecclesiarchy and he's more or less the same as when he went down for his nap. Compared to the Emperor, who is the central figure in the Imperial Cult and who's had cults devoted to him spring up in his wake for longer than the Imperium's been around. And the brunt of his power still stems from Molech/being a psychic gestalt. With that as a baseline, Lieren would have to live +10,000 years while being a core figure in a religion that spans the galaxy to see any effects.
>>
>>5062750
>But what should we do planet wise?
Academies, Laboratories, Rebuild old cities, a Fortified defense network combined with underground tunnels&vaults. New monasteries too.

>Should we slowly introduce those super nutritious crops into the world? Should we create a manufactorum? Space elevators?
If the crops aren't nocive to the world, it could do. Otherwise they can be used in terraformed worlds/moons/space habitats.
I think we could copy the ship forges and attempt to replicate them in industry instead, they seem very efficient and productive.
They could be useful, at least one if we can.

>I was thinking. You guys know how unconscious believe and psyker mind magics work right? Assuming Lieren lives long enough, and enough people start worshipping Lieren and Kanzeon, what will happen to them? I assume a very slight psyker boost in potency? Performing miracles?
The powers of Lieren, beside the usual psyker moves, are mostly based on creating long lasting and deep human connections as well the Journey, its why he can manifest those miens based on his companions or followers, and his companions or followers can receive his powers. It s likely this powers will grow stronger, we don t know what can happen next though. We can write it though, with new miens and what not. Or with the choices presented to us.

>make it larger if possible?
Maybe we could change the colony ship in to a even larger one, it could be done but it would require a lot of rare resources. Once found it wouldn't be a problem, we have already many mines and refineries. With the whole world, we should have even more. Perhaps we could connect together all the colony ships of the expeditions and see about making an even larger vessel.

>seamless boarding actions against enemy ships?
Technology is more a question if it's wise to use it, Kanzeon alone has plenty of it that neither us or her are sure to use because of the amount of destruction it can make. We will likely have an even bigger pool of knowledge once the other sisters are repaired.

>Begin stocking up on something close to GaoT tier suits of PA for when we finally meet our sons?
Advance armors/equipment shouldn't be a problem to make, but is the same question as above. We are already making a lot of advance armors, weapons, equipment and even vehicles for our military forces right now.

>to introduce our sons to their "mother?"
Depends. There are lot of interrogatives on how to do this. I suggest to just do it normally, maybe on one of our future defensive platforms above Shangrila. It shows is a genuine relationship. Of course some things should be kept in secret, this is very much correlated to the question under and his results. Not to mention there would be their cousins (tiger men), sisters and aunts.

>How are we going to get the emperor's approval?
Look at our results, our story and relations. I think those speak enough for us than any words. Besides this is a point that we aren't going to accept a no. And neither we will accept the usual treaty for unite with the imperium.

>if we can help with the human web way project?
We can help with numerous things, same for Kanzeon and her sisters. Proof is on display with Shangrila and anywhere else we go before finding the imperium.

I recall that some of the bigger ships are big enough to have manufactorums in them, so that's a plus. A fleet of ships is like a mobile industrial base.

Kanzeon originally wanted to share a ton of technology and Lieren argued against it because it's a dangerous in the hands of people not ready for it and B would have made dependancy.

this was even against stuff that would allow them to solve polution from day 1 cause people wouldn't know how to maintain or build the shit themselves.

He's not going to get along with the mechanium that well at all due to their desire to horde shit in general.

>Those usually required entire planets dedicated in their manufacturing, but there also lies them problem is Kanzeon has maintained the knowledge to make them, or if she wants to make them to begin with. Both her and Lieren are adamant to introducing anymore weapons of war. Oh and any Knight she knows of arent the hunchbacked derpy ones we know.
I was thinking of using something more like Titanfall style mechs with some Wraithknight inspired stuff instead of traditional knights. Also Kanzeon is fine with more tech released as the other guy said and we do need more answers to major enemies that isn't "rely on Lieren to solve it".

https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Contemptor_Pattern_Dreadnought
I did a little searching and I think the comtemptor is 4.5m tall. Depending on the source, titans from Titanfall usually range from somewhere between 20-25 feet (Titanfall 1 Atlas lore), or a flat 20 feet in Titanfall 2. That's roughly 6.1 meters. Imperial knights are anywhere between 9 to 12 meters tall.

A titan would be hilariously big, not to mention extremely agile compared to the slow moving Dreadnaughts. In wonder if it would be better tovpermenantly integrate nearly dead space marines into titans instead of dreadnaughts.

Looking back on it. I can't believe Kanzeon was a secret we could have missed.

Calling the vote now. Sorry for the wait.

Explain Nitya Sinha's ambitions and capabilities, and explain the nature of Mari and her sisters so they can understand the necessity of your actions and hopefully agree with them:16

Remind them that, even if they do not give you their blessing, they cannot stop you. But you wish to be a friend of the bask, and swear to give your life to prevent any catastrophe your endeavor may cause: 5

Though fate is the salve of fools, Prophecy has its uses. Ask for Carys' aid, and with her foresight and the traditional method of divination you've practiced before, cow the leaders with a theatric fortune telling session:1

Explain the danger of leaving whatever Mari is containing to fester, how there is a significant possibility that it is both connected to the tyrants the Bask overthrew and that it could escape Mari by growing strong enough over time. It would be best to treat the disease early with some risk rather then hope it never becomes gangrenous:10

Tell them that Mari would be indebted to them, and would be very much willing to help advance their development to equal Long-Jia's own.:1

Total votes:17

So Lieren will explain the threat posed by Nitya Sinha's ambition, the nature of Mari and her sisters and why they are necessary to halt the butcher kings advance, as well as the dangers of leaving whatever Mari is containing to fester

The next time we decide to make a wonder with Kanzeon, could we make human and space marine piloted titans? The 20ft tall ones for normalish humans, and the 25ft ones for space marines, dreadnaught pilots, or really big humans?

Hey malal, how bulky does our power armor get? Is it like normal 40k bulky armor or is it more streak and streamlined?

honestly with lotus tech no space marine should have to be dreadnaughted. Just clone them a new body and move their soul to it.

this was answered back when we fought the dark eldar. Just because you should accept death doesn't mean you should just give up and die. If death is unavoidable then well it's the end for you. Doesn't mean you can't stave it off however.

Nah. As magnus pointed out with Pert. Time is extremely fucking relative cause of the wrap. Also the primarch sure as hell didn't all emerge at the same time.

Most of them spent 20 to 30 years on their home worlds before the emperor showed up to pick them up. and considering the amount of time between when they were found they had to have emerged from the warp at different years.

Though you expected a feast, the meal the leaders of the Bask invite you to join is humble and rather meager and shared in part with the laborers assigned to carry out the construction of the new capital of their fledging, democratic republic. You also find, unlike the both the traditional and innovative cuisines of Long-Jia, the offered fare is rather bland and mostly flavored with bitter herbs, sour berries, fat and the rinds of cheeses. Which is understandable considering how inhospitable their surroundings are. And you rather enjoy how they have streamlined their cooking to supply necessary nutrients, vitamins, proteins, sugars and fats before considering any flavor or extravagance to their meals. Though their wine is far too sweet for your taste, but, if a man can drink dragon's spit liquor he can drink anything. You will have to see about importing spices and flavorings from the Long-Jian and Shuni provinces to Bask, if only so they can enjoy the simple pleasure of a nutritious AND delicious meal.

You sit besides Elazar and Qiqiang, with Kanzeon at your side, and the various other working class leaders of the rebellion surrounding the four of you. Elazar, is as expected, a supremely charismatic man. Handsome and boldly confident in manner, his dark hair is curled like wool and worn long, and he to wears a mustache though his is thin and well kept, reminiscent of the style favored by the old Yan fashion. He is dressed, colorfully yet commonly, with his dyed linens undecorated except for medals and a stylized depiction of a church or perhaps a monastery upon the back of his hardy leather coat, which is lined with untreated and undyed wool. He was wearing a odd hat, wide brimmed but with one side curled and bent upwards and though the communal dinner is guarded by men with imparted Long-Jian Rifles, which were surplus from the rebellion according to the General four seats across from you, Elazar still keeps a thin, long sword at his hip unlike any you've seen before. An elegant yet simple weapon, that complements that liberators style well.

The meal you share, reveals much to you of the nature of your host and his fellow government officials. They're all passionate men, the fires in their heart starkly contrasting the cold of their environment. Some, are zealots who seek your approval or respect by detailing the executions and battles they carried out against the nobility and their thralls. Others, like the Master of commerce, are gentler souls, and try to find you ear to discuss an expansion of trade networks or hiring you to bring heating to every city, town, village and hamlet of the bask while their older, more world weary counterparts bemoan the losses they suffered in their war or join the warhawks in their recounting of the victories and glories they won in their own rebellion.

Elazar himself, is a man who could and should have been king.

He is humble, generous, and naturally protective and caring for his fellow man. Though his face is scarred, and what skin he exposes bears marks of torture most foul and cruel, he remains a peacefully merry man, refilling your glass and Kanzeon every other sentence, without prompting or pausing in his speech. And as readily as he pours wine, he compliments and praises all around him, particularly comparing Qiqang's wisdom and perseverance to your own, or the genius of one of his now thoroughly drunken peers to Kanzeon's once he learns of the part she played in Long-Jia's rapid technological and societal advancements.

The freedom fighter of the bask, is naturally personable and gregarious, open and honest in all his dealings. You have only just met, but he holds himself as if he is meeting with a long lost brother or father. There's a certain Panache to the way he holds himself and speaks, that would make him seem more like a character from song or myth than any ordinary man if he were not so quietly humble and courteous. He has the soul of a poet, a dancer, a playwright, but he was made to be a warrior and fighter.

What surprises you most, is that Elazar was once a priest who was considered a heretic by the populace for his preaching of a mother beneath the ice rather than a father as the old canon of the bask's faith held to have descended from the heavenly courts to birth out their civilization. And he had been beaten and left in stocks in the bitter snow until Gao Qiqiang came across him and remembering the inhuman tortures his own father carried out against his court and servants, freed him at once and nursed him back to health.

Which, is how the two met and became close friends. and how Elazar heard the journey and intermingled it with his own faith. He regales you with the lessons the humble Qiqiang gave to him for hours, with tears streaming down his eyes into the two scars that begin at the edge of his lips and are cut near to his ears. Thin, white things that give the man the appearance of a constant, jubilant grin.

A mockery left by the men who tortured him and sought to poison him, flesh and soul.

In fact, his story of how he was captured goes on for so long, that all of the laborers and most of his fellow senators leave to return to their quarters, and the cooks sit down at the table, to enjoy the food they made themselves as Elazar rambles on and on. Until, at last, there's only eight men sitting around the high table, including himself.

Then, his demeanor shifts, he sets down the decanter of honeyed wine he had been sharing, brushes back his hair and turns to address the remaining four, besides yourself, Kanzeon and Gao Qiqiang. He breathes out, and you note, despite the quantity of alcohol he shared with his fellows and the workers and cooks, he had partook of none himself.

At once you realize why. It was a cunning trick to get the less important and trusted officials out of the meeting, and any curious ears to return to their homes. What a cunning man! He managed to avoid insulting the junior officials and politicians, and gained their favor as well as that of the common people by playing the part of a gregarious, generous host. Though it is clear he truly enjoyed being able to share so readily and easily, and that every compliment he spoke was true and honest praise.

"Ah, now that the present company has been shorn down to those who have been with me since the beginning, and our true most trusted and venerated of guests" He says, kicking both his legs on to the table and leaning his chair back as he pulls his odd hat halfway down over his brow "We can begin our meeting in earnest, without braggarts and uninitiated chaff present to hear and misunderstand what is spoken between us"

He grins, revealing two rows of perfect, well polished teeth. Then he turns to you and Kanzeon, who are seated in a respectful, cordial manner as determined by Long-Jian etiquette and courtly rules.

"And the father of the great work, the journey, which has reignited the soul of our people! And cleansed it of the stagnant waters it was forced to swallow by those bastards in their high towers!" He proclaims jubilant, throwing his hands up and tipping his chair backwards as Qiqiang silently raises his glass, and the four others, one of which was the general who told you of the importation of Long-Jian rifles, stand up and clap their hands, before bowing to both him and you.

He swings his legs from the table, and rotates his chair in the same motion, slamming it down so he can face you directly. He leans forward slight, and looks into your golden eyes, his own filled with a look of reverence and awe.

"As kind and gentle as the songs claim" He mutters "Now, may I ask, Lieren Jadegrower, what business brings you and your wife so beautiful the stars themselves wheep at her arrival, to the nation of the free peoples of Bask. I know from all accounts, you are not a man who would whimsically leave his duties to go sight seeing on a leisurely, romantic tour of foreign lands"

"Quite astute of you, Sir Burueliza" You say through your teeth as you smile, almost as happy to hear the compliment as Kanzeon herself is "But I have come to your fair lands for a most plainly austere purpose, a duty entrusted to me by Long-Jia Jinhai to seek assistance in the unavoidable war between us and the Butcher of Kings, Nitya Sinha, the tyrant of the once plentiful vishnu kingdoms"

Elazar narrows his eyes.

"I figure, we Bask are not the assistance you seek. We have nothing in the way of resources, technology or man power that Long-Jia herself cannot provide" he correctly guess, almost as if in staring into your eyes he was able to see into your heart as well.

Which may be possible, considering how closely kindred of spirits you seem to be.

>>
"So, you have come here, to seek our assistance in finding the aid you have been commanded to seek, no?" He asks with a flippant shrug of his shoulders

"How peerlessly perceptive" You praise with a benevolent sneer as Kanzeon pretends to sip at her wine, quite intrigued by Elazar now that he was seemingly able to read your mind "Yes, but, I have more come to ask for your permission to seek it"

"Why would you need to?" Elazar questions, inclining his chin ever so slightly "The Vishnu threaten all free people, we'd be happy to help you find whatever hidden or mystical force you seek to court to your side, oh golden eyed giant? So tell me, friend of all men, why do you feel you need the permission of a failed priest, amauter duelist and wholly coincidental leader and liberator?"

Your expression hardens, and becomes as grim as the Bask mountains. Your eyes narrow, and you look down at the ever smiling Elazar

"Because, what I've come to do, could endanger and threaten all of Bask and her people" You state sternly "But I believe it necessary considering that Nitya Sinha's ambitions drive him to commit a world wide slaughter for the sole cause of shedding as much blood and murdering as many men as he can before he is put down"

"Three nations against one, what do you know of the butcher that makes you believe the bulwark of three most prosperous nations would falter against him?" He asks gravely, all joy and light fading from his eyes, revealing the hardy warrior who burned out the infection of Tyranny from his lands without any of the advantages the rebellion you lead was so fortunate to have

"It is, difficult to explain, My good compatriot, but, Nitya Sinha, possess an army without end that can be replenished as easily as a wine in a cup" You explain, folding your hands together while glancing at the other leaders at the table, all of whom look as grim as Elazar himself "and he equips and supports this incomparable army with weaponry that can only be describe as apocalyptic. With simple stones, he can render entire cities to nothing more than fields of molten glass. He can tear me asunder to their most basic of chemical compounds. He can make the sky weep fire from flying fortresses of steel harder than any other. And these are just three of the weakest and least destructive weapons he equips his army of constructed, frenzied warriors as he leads them on a conquests whose only goal is death"

The table falls silent until Elazar lightens the mood with a click of his tongue

"That is a good enough cause to risk the return of damnation for a whole nation" He says with a nod "If we had any aid to offer in overcoming such an overwhelming foe, we would have already given it. We, however, swear to help in anyway we can in the impending days of mindless violence soon to come. But may I ask"

He adjusts his posture, lowering his tone as he addresses you seriously and so gravely you idly muse that most corpses are not as grim as he is in this very moment
>>
>>5063546

"Why do you believe the ally you sought, in finding them, could endanger my people?" He asks plainly, but his tone cuts deeply. He looks into your eyes, piercingly

"To explain that, I must explain why I seek them, and How Nitya Sinha has come to possess such awful power" You say bowing your head "Kanzeon, the jade like beauty you see before you now, is but an avatar of an ancient being, of Living soul and machinery combined. Her true body is a vast, advanced heavens faring ship that contains her consciousness and soul. She, was born into such a body, by the manipulations of our distant ancestors"

Elazar is shocked pale, but says nothing, only glancing rapidly between you and Kanzeon, who just hangs her head and sarcastically waves at him with a dismissive expression writ across her fair features

"The technology within them, would seem as magic to most men and even I struggle to comprehend it at times. The butcher king has wed himself to a sister of my beloved, who has become little more than a mad, blood hungering beast who abhors and resents all of mankind for her birth" You say bluntly, ignoring the wild reactions of the other five men to focus on Elazar himself "I refuse to lower myself to even advice my emperor to utilize the same tactics and weapons as Nitya Sinha. So I must find a way to bridge the distance between the imperial army and the army of blood mad doppelgangers. I have one avenue, but the trouble comes from"

"Production" Elazar says, regaining his composure and force of will as his eyes flare with the fires of conviction, cooled by understanding and acceptance "Kanzeon and her sister can only produce so many tools of killing, so you have sought a secondary source, one that can circumvent the handicap morality has placed upon you. You're searching for"

"My sister Mari" Kanzeon states bluntly "A second, living ship, who has for more than a thousand years safeguarded and protected your people, for you are her children. She, locked herself away and Lieren and I have come to free her to enlist her aid and allow myself to reunite with her"

Elazar smiles smugly

"Seems I was right all along, I wonder if the priests that fed the nobility so many lies can hear you down in hell" Elazar laughs "But, she has locked herself away, so the danger is with her, our mother, our guardian, no?"

"Correct, she has been warning all of my sisters to stay away for the many centuries we've slept. A code only we can understand, to protect us as she has protected you" Kanzeon states, wiping her eyes to keep herself from openly weeping "Mari is a gentle, and loving soul, for her to decide to quarantine herself from her charges, whatever she has trapped with her must be unmeasurable dangerous"

"And I theorize, that it is connected to the corruption of the tyrants you and your men overthrew" You state glumly, shaking your head
Cont
>>
>>5063547

"and that, while exposing it would be dangerous, leaving it be would be as leaving a disease to fester, or the wound to rot on the hope it would not become gangrenous"

Elazar's eyes fill with a rage comparable to the blackest of your own. The expressions of his advisors and fellow senators shift from terrified, meek and whimpering with dread to the scowls of zealots and grimaces bearing a murderous fury unlike any you've seen in mortal men. Except in the faces of Vishnu Screamers, or Bai after he fought the Vishnu madman.

"You speak of the rotting ones?" Elazar asks, managing to make you reel back in shock and Kanzeon pale in horror "If you merely mentioned that to begin with, we could already be riding Valiantly to save our maiden beneath the ice!"

He slams his hand down on the table, welting it red and causing the heavy wooden frame to crack.

"For being all seeing, friend, you are also blind" He says, trying to lighten the atmosphere and keep his rage at bay "To think the heart of darkness has been beneath us at all time'

"How did you" You ask, uncertain if the next words to pass your lips will be "know" or "Survive meeting such wicked things"

"WHY DO YOU THINK WE BURNED THE BODIES! IT WAS NOT DONE OUT OF SADISM OR SPITE!" The old general, with his snowy beard flecked with spittle and spilled wine roars "It was the only way to keep them from rising again! to keep them from returning to life! To keep our men hale and pure!

"no more discussion" Elazar says with a flick of his sleeve "Brother Qiqiang, fetch me my armor. We will ride with the giant and his bride to free her sister from the cage of the rotting men before dawn, there is no time to waste"

I would rather Tahir to boost the damage the Journey can do and I feel channeling Eldar gods would be better left for when we're defending a craftworld from Slaanesh daemon army or something like that. After all these Eldar are here for Lieren and his Journey since they kind of stopped worshipping their gods.

I'm sorry what? Where on god's green earth are you getting that from. The journey isn't a religion it's a way to live your life lmao. It doesn't stop you from worshiping your previous god unless it like directly conflicts with the journey.

See Elazar and how he's still worshiping Mari. Or Kaum um who's still worshiping Kaum um.
>>
>>5064055
>when we're defending a craftworld from Slaanesh daemon army or something like that
Reminds me that we might want to check on Khey-Ys sooner rather than later.
>since they kind of stopped worshipping their gods.
I don't think this is true. Adhering to the Journey doesn't disallow also being religious. People still believe in the Heavenly Courts despite our philosophy's popularity. If anything, they'd be more religious in light of learning that we've met one of their gods and inadvertently channeled two others.
>>
End of the day it's a philiosphy on how to live your life and no where does it prohibit religion except for being hilariously anti chaos.

The Journey is really similar to Buddhism in that it is technically not a religion but it behaves like one in all but name.
It have its texts containing its teaching and its preachers spreading the word both at home and in foreign lands. It either replaces local religions or meshes with them, like how Buddhism meshed with Shintoism in Japan. Eventually the Buddha commonly became seen as a divine figure, and had temples dedicated to his worship. Given enough time, either Lieren himself will be worshiped, or something like the Journeyman the Shuni came up with will be, and voila, we have our own I-can't-believe-it's-not-a-religion.
>>
>>5064007
The Bask'll also be disproportionately represented among the ranks of our Legion Champions, I think. And if we can get New Varro as a muster world as well, the recruits from there'll make for the happiest Moritats you've ever seen.
>>
>>5064057
Carys has explicitly said she reveres Lieren more than she did the other gods and seems to have replaced the Eldar gods with the Journey. I strongly suspect the rest with her are similar.

Hello, new to this quest here, currently catching up on the archive. Whoever voted to invent Gunpowder in the first thread is a lame. What kinda Sun Wukong expy needs a gun? Go for the melee build.
>>
>>5064155
To some degree at least. Since we'll be working with our eldari friends for the foreseeable future, what kind of collaborative projects should we do with them? Perhaps create a Psyker martial arts with them since most are warriors? We shouldn't leave them out of the research fun.

>>5064165
to each their own. Welcome to the quest btw. please insert your autism ideas here.
>>
>>5064169
Thanks, I will!

So, how about elephant mecha that can be refitted with either weapons or terraforming equipment? Agriculture worlds are important, but so is making sure a new supply of food for the Imperium is well protected until the Guard can get there.

Working the land is a constant battle against starvation, and humanity needs every edge is can get. So, an Agri-Corps with many types of crops and mechanized vehicles to colonize and fortify worlds.
>>
>>5064165
Clearly you need to read more. Though having a staff would be fun.
>>5064169
One thing I've been wanting to do is take ideas from others to add to the Journey. Maybe upgrading the Eldar's equipment would be good.

Based Ruyi Jingu Bangbro. We will need a sidearm of some sort during the crusade though,
>>
>>5064180
>Clearly you need to read more. Though having a staff would be fun.
I do! Ooh, since the staff was originally a sea-measuring rod, maybe it could be something that could detect water throughout the galaxy via the Warp?
>>
>>5064177
Seems like an excessive amount of unnecessary moving parts. Wouldn't an advanced tractor do just as well?
I can agree with you agri-world improvement idea. Perhaps we could draw up some baselines for Agri-worlds and how to balance between the maximum food output the Imperium needs without compromising the world with grimderp tier 40k way of life?
One of the things I want to do is create the ultimate load out for the average rank and file guardsmen. metal boots that can last for a really long time and feel comfortable. better flak armor, more reliable lasguns, more optimized mess kits, super food MRE's pack with all of your needed vitamins, nutrients, and calories, the most comfortable yet economic to produce bed rolls in the entire galaxy. I got the idea from one of those forgeworld rolling threads in /tg/. It was a pro-guardsmen friendly forgeworld that might be a little kinda heretics, with ocasionally glitchy augmentations you need to beat into functionality.
>>
>>5064234
I just really like elephants, and according to that other setting, walkers are All-Terrain, which is key for colonization.

https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Creation_of_a_Space_Marine
It's been several threads since the beginning of the quest, but something came to mind. Is there anything stopping us from creating Space Marines? Lieren already has the genetic template, and Kanzeon has the facilities to get the procedures done. All that need to be done is study Lieren's anatomy more thoroughly and create everything that needs to be implanted. There lies one issue...
Space Marines require really young candidates to be raised up to be soldiers. Is it morally right to press a child into an army at such a young age? If morals are an issue, what about making lesser implants suitable to adult humans? They probably won't be as effective as regular marines back on Terra, but they would be effective nonetheless. Kind of like the Lion's companions that received the surgeries to make them quasi-marines.
On another topic of implants, why not make tailor designed implants for some of the Tiger Children when they eventually reach full maturity for those who willingly join our Crusade? What kinds should they have should they willingly accept? I recalled we used to talk about guardsmen loadouts and designs at length in the earlier threads.

Have we learned all there was to learn from our gestation pod? should we study it again? For additional insight? What of the psykers of our world? Will we augment some of them too into super soldiers?
>>
>>5064458
actually you can do implantation as old as like, 17 or 18 I think?
>>
>>5064458
Also this is 30k so things aren't quite as stringent as later on. Also see hwo how our bro Corvis massively sped up space marine implantation and training and how it would have worked if Alpherius didn't sabotage it.

They get the implants around the ages between 10-14, and if they survive all the implantations and trials, they join their brothers around ages 16 to 18.

>>5064468
True. It's something to consider and explore.
>>
I remember in 30k they were doing wacky fucking shit like straight up mixing geneseeds between legions. So yeah things are a lot less strigent this early on in the setting.

Also Kanzeon is bullshit.
>>
>>5064465
If you're Magnus and have the strongest biomancy behind Big E, a 50-year-old can become a marine. Amon is a lucky bastard. But 16-18 is the golden window for ascension.
>>5064468
>Also this is 30k so things aren't quite as stringent as later on.
Not really how it works, the implantation process didn't change between 30k and 40k. The one time they tried to change anything was the 21st Founding, which isn't called Cursed for nothing.
>Also see hwo how our bro Corvis massively sped up space marine implantation and training and how it would have worked if Alpherius didn't sabotage it.
The Raptors aren't, strictly speaking, Astartes. And Corvus, strictly speaking, didn't do jack. They're proto-Astartes that are some weird blend of primarch and stock marine that Corvus was only able to make thanks to memories of the Emperor that Big E gifted to him. So the Emperor would've been able to make them all along, but didn't. Safe to assume there's a reason behind that.
>>5064475
>I remember in 30k they were doing wacky fucking shit like straight up mixing geneseeds between legions. So yeah things are a lot less strigent this early on in the setting.
Chimerae always have been abomination. This is reflected in the crunch by the Blackshield's chimerae rules which make it so you can't take allied troops because you're just that reprehensible. This is a game where, despite Calth being a key event, Word Bearers can take allied Ultramarines. That's how big a no-no it is. It's reflected in the fluff by marines who are merely suspected of being chimeras (the Carcharodons) have to scrounge around for gear, live on the edge of known space, and are considered a "disgusting breed" and "mongrels" by their closes friendly neighbors.
>>
>>5064494
Biomancy, that's one thing Lieren should really study so he can learn how to heal his wounds mid fight, that or modifying his armor with some advanced medical technology so he gets accelerated healing. That's was my gripe with his fight with Bele'cock. The demon could heal, our golden body could not. A mastercraft forcefield would also be a bonus bonus.

>Applaud Elazar for his valor, but explain it will take sometime to open a path to Mari's body. Give him time to calm down and turn away from this near suicidal decision

write-in:
combining earlier options below. Call in Kanzeon's ship to:
a) bring the sect and the Aeldari over to assemble the barrier
b) manufacture armaments for the Bask and put proof to Elazar's faith
c) melt a hole through the ice to Mari with shipboard weaponry, we're going in Alien Vs Predator movie style, plus to begin excavation properly.

Calling the vote now.

Fill in the gaps of their knowledge, and show them how to make Null Denouncement Charms. If these brave men wish to join you in rescuing Mari, you cannot stop them, but you cannot let them fight unprotected:15

Contact Carys and Guozhi telepathically, and inform them of the influence of the cretin Na Gou in the bask lands, and ask for them to help you in erecting a spiritual barrier around Mari's vessel: 16

"I have seen horrors which you could not even fathom. Know that if you and your men wish to follow me to Mari you will be subjected to far worse than anything you have faced thus far. Not only will your bodies be tested but your very souls will be at stake.":2

applaud Elazar for his valor, but explain it will take sometime to open a path to Mari's body. Give him time to calm down and turn away from this near suicidal decision:10

Using your radio, have Shirong load a Steel Bird with the first of the new weapons and armor for the army. They will be both a gift of goodwill for Elazar and his knightly compatriots and hopefully save lives.:8

Have kanzeon melt a hole through the ice to mari and deliver the weapons personally: 1

Total votes: 19

So Lieren will explain it will take time to open a path to Mari, and while applauding Elazar and his four companion's valor, give them time to calm down and a chance to turn away from the near suicidal mission ahead, as well as filling the gaps of their knowledge of the threats they face and teaching them how to make null denouncement charms.

And then he will contact Carys and Guozhi, inform them of the situation, and request their aid in erecting a spiritual barrier around Mari's vessel

The Bravery of Elazar and his companions is so inspiring, you cannot help but to applause. His courageous words and selfless valor resonate so deeply with you, your golden eyes become misty with tears that turn to frost as they crawl down your cheeks and freeze entirely before they call fall.

"Marvelous!" You proclaim, your tone thunderous but instead of using the great depths of volume and noise your lungs can muster, you turn the heaven shaking force of your voice to instead praise and commend the five brave knights "Simply marvelous! No matter how often I witness it, the sight of men standing for their ideals and risking their own lives to protect and nurture others without a second of hesitation remains inspiring! I look upon you and your company, Sir Elazar, and I see in your eyes the same fires of conviction that have blazed within my own! For a hero to be born, a man of virtuous character and strong must proceed the legend, and all of the men gathered fit that description marvelously! However..."

You bow your head, and turn your palms upwards

"We cannot ride to Mari's side to become her saviors and rescuers, The ice is thick and she is deep. It will take time to bring the necessary tools to safety open a path to the sleeping titan" You say, with false sheepishness as you glance to Kanzeon, telling her without words to explain why she cannot just blast a hole through the land to her sister's prison beneath the snow

"And, while the armaments my true body is equipped with could expedite the process by a not insignificant frame of time" She says, responding to your request with a subtle raising of her hand "It would also gravely damage the surrounding ecosystem and biosphere, and that is before considering the likelihood of such an action releasing the threat we all fear is trapped inside with my poor sister"

"Bah, the bask blood in me burns hot, but dulling my blade to chip away at miles of ice would be the deed of a fool, rather than a knight" Elazar says after a moment of scowling and huffing, casually returning to his usual jovial cadence and manner as he runs a hand through his hair "I will pray with Brother Qiqang, Common Benat, Sir Edur, Sir Gotzon, Father Gaizka, I'd advise you to join me in my meditation, so me may ready our bodies, minds and souls"

"There is still much for us to discuss, Elazar" You call out, as the hotblooded revolutionary marches away, hand gripped tightly to his thin sword, which you now recognize as a variety of bask rapier "For, I well know these "Rotting men" You speak of, and if we are too fight side by side in the name of my beloved's sister and her freedom, I must teach you what you do not know of our enemy"

"Enemy" Gao Qiqiang repeats, bowing his head "I suspected you'd use that word to describe these abhorrent creatures"

"It is what they are to us, and all of mankind, my friend" You say with a smile, speaking respectfully to the eunuch.

it fills you with joy to see how far he has risen in the world, consider the tragedy and mistreatments he suffered at the hands of his father. Including the injury that has rendered him unable to have any legacy besides the students he teaches and advises.

"That much is obvious to all of us" The white bearded Benat mutters "And to think I was blind to their influence for so long, just the thought I could've been one of them sickens me"

"As it should" Kanzeon says, as she idly rolls her glass by pressing her finger to its lip.

"I am honored to be taught by the wisest himself" Elazar says with a respectful, if clumsy cupping of his hands "I have heard there is no man born beneath the heavens who rivals your intellect in wit, great teacher, so please, teach us! Show us how to chase away and kill these disgusting monsters from our mother and her lands!"

You raise a single finger and wag it

"First, they are not creatures, but spirits" You say with quietly, so no one may overhear the lesson you intend to give to these men, lest those who have no already learned of chaos and its devils partakes of its knowledge and spreads the knowledge your father has commanded you to keep "Second, I know of a method to fight back and ward away these creatures that is more effective than any blade or firearm, no matter how advance. But returning to the first point, allow me to elucidate the meaning of spirit, the nature of the Empyrean, and the true history of Shangrala's Tyrants, and the name of the wretch whose dog I believe awaits us beneath the ice"

It is dyed in pigments derived from native fauna and floral of the world.

The banner is colored to resemble an active flame, and is currently secured to a haft of an alloy of <date redacted> and <Data redacted>. Elazar Burueliza, The old knight Benat Goimendia, the Youthful winemaker turned knight Edur Gorritza, The Silent Gotzon Elizaalde, and the boisterous warrior monk Gaizka Etxesagarondo were not in the least bit shaken or cowed by the truth of the Warp and its inhabitants and the fate that would await them if indeed a servant of Na Gou awaits you beneath the ice. They remain silent, as you detail in excruciating, lurid detail the effects of the half mystical plagues the patriarch of all filth brews and the dangers of prolonged exposure to the wild winds of the Empyrean. They already know the joy of which wicked spirits take in corrupting and subverting the most virtuous and moral of men. But they do not falter. They do not cower, or fear. Instead, the more they learn of demons and spirits, the more furious they become. You only tell them what is necessary but which they do not already know from their own struggles against evil, but they, like all men who are strong of faith and are wise enough to realize even the gentlest of ideals can be twisted by the wicked and power hungry, become enraged as they come to understand their enemy's nature and the ambitions they have in meddling in the affairs of humanity and other races.

Elazar grips his sword so tightly, his nails leave a mark in the leather wrapped around its hilt and his knuckles turn whiter than the snow dusting his feet.

Qiqang is now leading the five knights in anointing their armor and weaponry with Null Denouncement Charms, and the same funerary oil that preserved small chen's corpse before it could be delivered back to his home. The oil that encourages the growth of colorful, vibrant flowers.

Without a word spoken. Elazar and his companions have spoken their intent, and shown you their conviction to fight to their last breath to protect and save Mari from the hell she has silently endured for Millennium. They understand, without her sacrifice, their would be no bask or Shangrala. And they, virtuous and brave, cannot stand idle by while their savior and mother is endangered by the very spirit who had seen their society stagnate and decay even though his incarnated body remained trapped in ice.

With the quiet fervor of holy warriors, the men anoint themselves with dabs of oil before rubbing their faces in snow, nd sit down to pray.
Cont
>>
>>5064640

And you can tell from his eyes, Elazar realizes the "Father" beneath the ice who the tyrants worshiped, is the same devil that torments Mari now.

Kanzeon watches the ritual with amused interest, but you join them in their meditations.

If only to contact Grandfather Guozhi and Carys

They respond to your wind whispering immediately, as you lead your message with "I've located a Chaos corrupted site". The conversation is brief, as both the former farseer and your mentor in the ways of psykerism, instantly agree to travel to help ward the site and establish a spiritual quarantine around Mari's body. You also learn from both of them that Carys followers and the wanderers in the fog have become even closer then when you last visited the sect. And that Folant had had traveled, along with the other warriors of their congregation to pay their respects to small chen's grave. You also learn, that a few of the tiger children have been "tracking" the Aeldari in their wanderings in the wilderness, and seem to believe them to be "Mysterious beasts" and are intent on capturing one to show to you.

Which amuses you greatly, of course.

Before you cut off your dialogue with both of them, you check on the progress of your disciples' development, and are greatly pleased with the answer you receive. Though, the increase in Meixiu's already terrible power is unnerving despite her natural affinity and control in wielding it. And reminds you that, in one future, she would have gone on to Usurp Kamal Kanan despite the abomination of a sorcerer being many years her elder.

You also learn, that under Carys direct tutelage, Zixin's prescience has evolved and now reaches further than before. And you also learn, that Qian Xiaowen learned of your plan to utilize psykers against Nitya Sinha through his "Elder sister' and with Zixin demanded martial training as well, and so lead a number of your disciples to the nearest and most prestigious martial arts school in the province. among their number is the ever repentant Xueqin, though that number does include a quarter of the wanderers in the fog membership, if not more.

When silence falls on your mind, Kanzeon breaks it almost immediately

"It still bothers me, how Guozhi won't tell me who he used to be that I knew" Kanzeon mutters ruefully "But, he finds my annoyance amusing. I suppose that is why you to are such close friends"

You cannot help but to smile at that insight.

I wouldn't say they're useless. In fact, the Spear is probably one of our most potent weapons, given its ranged plasma-flayer thing. We just default to our guandao and when the option to use it in a fight pops up, people don't vote for it. Not sure why, really.

Moderation is the defining factor of the Journey. We still shed blood, enjoy things, scheme, and love nature. But we don't do anything in the extreme, including opposing the realms of the gods. Because then we live a life bereft of honor, wisdom, love, hope, growth, acceptance, whatever. We did a good job making sure the Journey isn't anti-chaos asceticism, doing something like avoiding certain colors because of their superficial relation to a god or the ENTIRITY of their domain would be ridiculous.

> Arm Elezar and his companion knights with sealed armors and the deadly flame and plasma projecting weaponry from Kanzeon's arsenal.
Gotta get them in air-tight power armor so they don't breathe that filth in. Thankfully, I think the specific Plaguebearer conversion can be purged by a strong enough combination of healing and psychic ritual.

> Meditate on the broken sword you took from the Keeper of Rust, and seek a means to purify the blade so you can wield it against the servant of Na Gou, as an insult more scathing than that could be spun through words.
I love it, and I can't wait to gut another of Nurgle's bastards like a rotten trout. I believe the Axe of Morkai was something similar, being a daemon that was brutally cowed into subservience.

Also, I wonder what kind of effect the inclusion of Arianka's spiritual energies means for Lieren's cleansing/exorcism rituals? It's probably even more effective, since he's now a more 'complete' being.

> Ask your new Aeldari comrades if they would be willing to scout Al-Uzza's position to determine the danger and how you might best proceed.
They've got speed and some stealth tech of their own, so I don't think they're in danger of any stray mutants. No closer investigations needed. Watching from a distance and keeping note of any changes is all that's required.
>>
>>5064953
I can get behind this, the design is amazing, it'll allow for heavy weaponry, modular arms, it'll be far more than the standard dreadnought.

I think I found a way for Squats to be grimdark and a threat to non-Squat humanity. Also, a rival to the 2nd Legion who values a lively planet.

These could be their Flagships that can use Grav-based Tractor Beam technology to pull meteors or cause seismic activity on a planet carrying a fleet of land cruisers from Epic. And this grav tech can sorta give them air superiority even with their lack of fighters and bombers by upping a battlefield's gravity and rendering enemy aircraft below them 10 times heavier and nosediving.

And what if they got a Star Forge from a C'tan?

We should remember that it might be wise to use a mien for strengthen them further if needed. Beside that we could "welcome" the evil spirits with a chorus of the journey passages, as well banners behind the barrier.

A better use of time would be working out abilities which do suit our skill set or alternatively improve upon existing ones. Dorne would only be pleased if your writings were focused and relevant vs speculative and none on task.

For example borrowing a point from someone else before why doesn't Listen just drop a rock from orbit upon the corrupted capital since it is full of zealots clones and such. Such warfare is very easy and effective requiring only basic technology to work out the path of said rock and guide it. Lieren has the mind of a machine despite his flowery words thus we should act like one.

In the war coming strike from where your does may not lash back at you, high orbit stone tosses into the enemy army before they reach us and obliterate their forces. Rather than attempting to face an enemy whom want bloodshed deny them the chance by eliminating supplys and troops getting to the field? We can end this very easily.
>>
>>5065775
Because rock drop will utterly devastate the lands and ecosystems of the places hit, plus the enemy capitol is some eldritch mind bending high tech horror which stretches over several dimensions, not just the one we are on.
>>
>>5065775
>Suggests practical solutions to impending doom
>In a 40K quest.
How dare you.

But yeah, launching Rods from God would be a good tactic, but we're in too deep. Now maybe if we recover Mari then we could have her throw some rocks form orbit while we swoop in for the sweep.
>>
>>5065776
So your counter point for orbital wiping the monsterous urban machine hell hole is it won't get it all at once? Do you think we should t bother stabbing someone because they might not die in one hit? Secondly you can very easily control such damage by working upon payload tonnage
>>
>>5065775
A work consisting of passages that are designed to help Psykers hone their powers in pursuit of purging demonic corruption is probably something Lieren could work out quite easily.
>>
>>5065749
>Stop having fun you dumbass monkeys
>>
>>5065781
Actually yeah, my point is that if you are not going to wipe them out in a single overwhelming hit while their guard is down, dont go for the ineffective hit and use a better tool to hit ALL of the enemy Capitol.

That being said. We can't/shouldnt do that either for a single reason. Slaves.
Captured and helpless innocents brought there to be tormented and maimed. I've no doubt some of them are children.

There is a good chance it will work and secondly even were the hit resisted through some form of shield that works in our favour as the advantage of all out warfare is that they have to commit power and resources to home vs the attack itself.

If we want to win this war with minimal bloodshed there are a number of simple ways to do them but I'll out them sequentially for you.

1) locate the corrupt sisters core with our own wife's scanners and orbital view. Need not be specific only a few km grid squares are required
2) rod of God that spot into oblivion. The result with either be her death and limited loss of life or B she is able to defend herself but must now pour resources into her own protection vs defence.
3) while the heavens are dropping rocks upon the enemy main production sites we do the same to their armies even if there are slaves for the following simple reasons
A) a slave whipped to shoot you is still a combatant as soaring their one life will cost more
B) effective wiping of the enemy without using to much man power
C) if the slaves shit enough brick's they will fear us more than the whips of their masters and turn on them
-

This war shouldn't be fought on such a limited or flat scale as is being proposed thus far. Deny the enemy the initiative and force them to be the reactive force not the other way around
>>
>>5065923
>2) rod of God that spot into oblivion. The result with either be her death and limited loss of life or B she is able to defend herself but must now pour resources into her own protection vs defence.
bro this is a non option since we already said we would save and purify her from khorne's shit.
>>
>>5065924
Gotta crack the shell and peel her open first and rod of God beats having to wade through her halls
>>
Also Lieren' wouldn't just order mass death on the cities cause fuck the slaves this is war.
>>
>>5065933
Gathered information says they are pretty much already dead due to either being thrown at us as ammo wasters or the ones at base having the enslavement collars on which the enemy will use to kill them before we can free them. They are already dead if we can't Lance the corrupt sister straight away. This will never be a victory and Liren will be weeping come the end regardless but we may choose the reason
>>
>>5066021
How about we don't just nuke fucking cities and call it a day. I do not want to take lieren's character in that direction.
>>
>>5066023
I said only a few km grid squares to cripple war efforts and army staging points. We have a point of attack the enemy are unable to counter very effectively this we should use it. Destroying sources of power, production and distribution. Choosing to not do this means more will die for no reason but sheer ignorance of how to fight a war. You have a choice kill a thousand of them with your own hand or they will take more than that from you.

Destroying such locale also will allow for slave uprisings as there are more of them and the enemy will be having to divert forces just to keep their home ground under control.

Finally we'd not call it a day at that there is plenty to do. War is no place for those unwilling to do what must be done
>>
>>5066029
>Finally we'd not call it a day at that there is plenty to do. War is no place for those unwilling to do what must be done
Okay hard man making hard decisions while hard.
>>
>>5066032
to elaborate there's plenty of shit we can in theory do that doesn't require us to just fucking wipe out parts of cities with rods of gods. Like having stealth teams sneaking in and sabotaging shit.

Never mind who knows what reactions just nuking a areas of those cities would set off since they have minutature fusion reactions going to give themselves fucking LAMPS.
>>
>>5066033
The enemy know one of our prefered methods is stealthing into places to cut off the head of the snake. Why play into a method the enemy will expect? Why risk the lives of elite stealth teams when we can do it without risk to our own? If you're alternative options can beat
1) nonrisk to our troops
2) localised decimation
3) deployed without risk

I'm all ears, truely. It's that what I'm seeing from players is intentionally go into a bloody war with the denizens of the blood god? >>
>>5066047
We did it to the Kang
>>
>>5066047
Fair however to run such things to cover an entire city is unlikely because such shields require a solid frame to form around. Secondly a void shield takes huge amounts of power and I'd rather she has to spend her resources keeping shields up vs powering more clone pods. Thirdly on the chance she is able to defend herself from a RoG she can't protect their horde armies which we can wipe out with ease.
>>
>>5066049
Yeah and that was a fuck up.

I didn't choose such a method out of the blue, im using what we know.

Problem: Enemy can use those whom die in bloody war as tribute to summon deamons and/or other rituals
Example: Downfall of the old Emperor both in the field and attempting to torch the city in a prepped state
Counter: Deny the the chance to do so by eliminating the chance to mobilize with localized RoG or similar methods limiting casualties but destroying infrastructure. Your plan to just hose them down makes it worse by far for so long as the blood flows he is happy.

Problem: The enemy know who we are and our methods
Example: During our chat we showed our trickster nature and the enemy will have studied our prior actions
Counter: act in an entirely unpredictable manner

Problem: The enemy maintain a large slave army whom will rather kill us than rebel
Example: our guest from those kingdoms and personal witnessing
Counter: make them fear marching to us more than the whips of their masters inspiring a will to rebel, the solution to issue one creates the opportunity.

Problem: The enemy have a large number of production facilities creating clones and gear
Example: all our Intel
Counter: localized strikes from an unassailable position or beyond the enemies strike back range. Not using teams of people denies the enemy possible Intel from failure. Secondly it means no risk to our own people whom take priority over the enemy

Problem: The gentle Giants Heart
Example: Lierens' regret over wiping the Kang to effectively and the sheer massacre that it was
Counter: Lieren knows that often the most effective method are a touch sad and will cause him grief but that is the burden of responsibility. Regretting having to take a path is natural for humanity but often it still needs to have happened for the greater good. We have the mind of a machine even with our heart, we know what must be done and will do it even as we weep. Morally we face a simple choice; face the enemy as men and accept the untold losses coming our way or option two eliminate them as a machine would for the better of the human lives under our care for the price of our own mindful peace. A Primarch should take option 2.

This is incorrect. The slave army is literally being mind controlled.
>>
>>5066083
So we either A) cut the metaphorical head off the snake or B) we eliminate them all the same. Though option C) could be get the wife in orbit and jam the connection maybe causing localised enslavement black outs

Here's a better idea. We use a Journey code poetry to send viral code to keep the sister from interfering and use Lieren's Wood affinity combined with the Wood attuned sword we are making to render their weapons useless.

Calling the vote now. Sorry for the wait. Hope you all had a nice thanksgiving if you celebrate it.

Meditate on the broken sword you took from the Keeper of Rust, and seek a means to purify the blade so you can wield it against the servant of Na gou, as an insult more scathing than that could be spun through words:18
-give elazar the sword if you are able to cleanse it: 2

offer Elazar and his men the most advance weaponry of Long-Jia. Wicked spirits are dangerous opponents, after all: 16

Ask the warriors of the Aeldari through Folant if they would offer their services in battling the daemon within Mari. As you understand it, Na Gou is quite hated amongst their kind.:3

Break into Mari's cage of ice and stone with the drones Kanzeon used to release her own body and then wait outside of the barrier with Elazar and his knights, readying yourself for whatever may emerge:5
-Use Kanzeon's drones to dig close enough to Mari's cage to actively communicate with her or if that fails attempt to scan her body to determine the details of the threat and how to best address it.:2

Ask your new Aeldari comrades if they would be willing to scout Al-Uzza's position to determine the danger and how you might best proceed.: 1

Total votes:18

So Lieren will offer Elazar and his knights the most advance weaponry of Long-Jia and meditate on the shattered blade of filth to seek a means of purifying it to wield it against the servant of a Na Gou, as an insult.

"What strange people, so tall, yet so thin. Are they an order of Ascetic monks who starve themselves and stretch out their limbs? Brother Qiqiang has told me of many peculiar and painful sounding traditions that have been observed by the faithful of Long-Jia" Elazar ponders outloud, off handedly asking you to explain the Aeldari who have come to aid in the erection of the wall of soul's fire and manifested will.

He scratches his chin, watching Carys lead her flock of former warlocks and bonesingers in their toil, while Guozhi guides your disciples and his fellow core members of the sect in channeling their wills into the spiritual barrier.

"Peculiar occult traditions, the priesthood of the old kingdom warned against the old folk beliefs of your people?" Elazar says with a smile of silent laughter "Must be a torturous process, stretching limbs. I assume it has a purpose. Does the pain help them achieve mental clarity, or does the frailty of their limbs allow them to distance themselves from the bodies they were born into"

"I will explain my guests another time, Sir Elazar" You answer, knowing he will just ask more questions if you explain that existence of sapient species besides humanity and doubtlessly become enamoured with the idea of alien life and hound you for every scrap of information he can of the Aeldari and their customs. Elazar has taken the lessons of unity and understanding of the journey and sewn them to the deepest center of his heart and soul. He has a fascination with other, foreign cultures. Which is why he has been encouraging the spread of the journey as well as Long-Jian styles of dress and cuisine.

"Hmm, there's a reason for you keeping me in the dark, I can tell. A difficult one. So they must be something more than a sect of extremist priests" Elazar nearly purrs, scratching his chin as he watches the Aeldari in their meditative work and psionic and spiritual labor "How much longer until the defensive wall is finished, My blood is boiling to meet our enemies beneath the ice, My fair teacher!"

"You would be wise to be cautious, wicked spirits are most troublesome opponents to face. More dangerous than any man or beast. Their presence alone can subvert a man's mind and the ideals within" You scold, crossing your arms as you turn away from the work to face Elazar himself "Marching off to face them unprepared is to court death. I have faced our enemy beneath the ice's like before, and they have been my most difficult and deadly adversaries. Every duel shook the heavens and shattered the void. You are not fighting the corrupted, misguided mortal pawns of dark gods, but their ilk. Their spawn. What lies in wait beneath the rime, is not mortal. It is an ancient, malevolent spirit, what men would call a devil. Of a breed and creed that delights in putrefying men's souls as well as their bodies. You would be wise, Elazar, to be cautious, rather than enthusiastic"

Elazar just smirks, and looks into your eyes

"oooh, Silver, that's new' He says with a playful sneer "But to be honest, my idol, I am anything but excited. See how my hands shake? I dread facing what lies beneath our feet, but my heart refuses to cower and hide away. It, and the blood flowing through my veins demands vengeance! It is the bask way to seek retribution against those who have wronged you or your kin. and, you have revealed to me and my fellow knights that the mother of our culture, has been bedeviled by the cause of all of our nations woes! I cannot help but feel lustful and ready to split the bastards flesh with my blade and pierce through his heart. But"

"We all well know what we risk" Benat interrupts, eyes closed as he prays half buried in snow, wrapped in furs "Sir Elazar more than any other. He spat out the poison they forced down his throat through faith and piety alone. We know, that the demons we faced were but men glutted on the blood of demons, and that the true devil is before us now"

The old knight raises a hand, to show that it is shaking as well.

"We are not fools, noble giant, we know death awaits all men, but we must ride to save the maiden who has protected us and our like for generations, without once turning away from her austere duty" The old man says, openly weeping

"Aye" Edur calls, smacking a gauntleted hand upon his breastplate "Don't think us Vishnu, We just cannot bear leaving our mother in the grasp of cruel monster for a second longer than we have to, I will admit! My hero, that I have bolstered my nerves with the reserve of my family's winery before when I've marched against the wicked ! But I will not now, for I know intoxication to be a weakness in the shield of faith!"

Gotzon nods

"I just want to break open the skull of the beast and burn its bones to ash!" Gaizka snarls boisterously "Suffer not the infected, the putrid, or the crudely malformed!"

"See?' Elazar says proudly, nodding in agreement of all of the proclamations of his fellow knights "We will take care, and conduct ourselves as proper knights! As you can obviously see with those golden eyes of yours!"

You smirk, their energy is infectious, how ironic.

"Bravado, faith and skill matter little when the enemy you face is not of the material plane natively" You state "I am sure you all would last longer than most men, but the guile and powers of the one we intend to face will bring you low and even if your soul endures, your flesh will fester and your mind will fever, and so five noble men will die needlessly. Sir Elazar, Sir Benat, Sir Edur, Sir Gotzon, Father Gaizka. I hold you in the highest regard, and would have counted myself most fortunate to have fought beside you in either of the wars of liberation that were waged against the spirit enthralled tyrants who ruined our homes and predated upon our fellow men, however"

You cup your fists and bow.

"I know when a fighter is hopelessly outmatched and has little hope of victory" You say sternly, clenching your jaw hard enough to bite clean through steel "So, allow me to lessen the handicap that emerges when a mortal warrior faces against a timeless killer. I offer you, noble knights of basks, the greatest and most advance weaponry that has thus far been produced to arm the soldiers of the Long-Jianese Imperial army"

Gaizka's eye shimmer, Elazar winces, his pride wounded by your assessment.

"But we are untrained in the use of such tools, our people have barely adapted to the firearms we have imported, we'd be like children playing at knight if we forsake our favored weapons to instead take up those you offer, even if they are far more deadly and effective" Elazar says through his teeth, not out of sense of pride or confidence, but rather from wisdom. He is correct, none of the knights are trained to wield darklight, plasma, or las weaponry in any of its forms.

But you did not bring firearms

"I know, I had Kanzeon produce mastercrafted weapons, that reflect your personal expertises rather than forcing you to adapt to weapons you are not familiar with. But, they are they evolution of your tools. They are equipped with powerfield generators, and are made of the finest, hardiest metals! That of Kanzeon's own flesh!" You shout, standing to your full height before theatrically clapping your hands together "Beautifully crafted by my beloved's hands, and engraved with the Charm of Null Denouncement! These weapons have been forged solely to slay spirits!"

"Oh!" Elazar says, voice cracking as his fellow knights fall to their knees in respect and gratitude "Well that solves the one issue I had with accepting such a gift, my friend"

"And of course, they come packaged with complete suits of the new style of Long-Jian armor, first used by my brother of the panther in our silent war against the Shuni sorcerers" You say with a sneer "UnCustomized, and uncolored, I am certain if the armor survives this encounter, along with your weapons, they will become heirlooms for your respective lineages"

"I am indebted to you, Lieren. These gifts will not be forgotten. It is by your generosity and concern that we may survive this encounter with the darkest of beings" Elazar states quietly, bowing his head and placing a hand upon his heart "While my pride balks at knowing I am outmatch, I realize that with my rapier and armor, I'd be killed as easily as a beetled beneath a boot. I thank you, for reigning in our instinct as chivalrous men and giving us the tools to find our salvation"

You return the gesture

"Kuan Im will give these gifts to you, and I shall return when it is time for us to march to battle, Noble knights. Know that you five men are among the handful whom I would name as such" You say, before flicking your wrist and turning on your heel, your transformative robes flowing on the wind like a great white mane

"But I have preparations of my own to begin, ones too dangerous to perform in your company, so I shall take my leave, for now"
_

Far away from Mari's resting place, above the clouds and upon the highest and most remote mountaintop of all of the bask ranges, you sit alone, except for Kanzeon, who is watching to ease her own fears and to provide you support both mentally and emotionally. Her hands helped create the arena you now sit in and she stands outside of, observing the integrity of the barrier safely behind it. You take in a deep, frost filled breath, and breath it out, watching your breath rise to the heavens and pass through the ceiling of the theater you have constructed out of your will and spirit.

Sitting before you, is the chest in which you have sealed away The keepers of Rust putrifying blade, that oozes liquid decay, puss and any other form of foulness that has a name.

"Be careful, Lieren" Kanzeon hisses as she gnaws on the back of one of her thumbs "This is risky, that blade radiates nearly as much Empyrean radiation as my own broken heart did, before you mended and healed it. Any lesser man would be corrupted merely looking upon it, that THING would be better disposed of rather than repurposed"

"Even the rustiest of blades can be remade, even the dirtiest of pots can be cleansed of filth" You state, as you press your palm upon the top of the outermost chest of the foul blades prison. Immediately, you can sense its malevolence and resentment. With a press of your hand, the outermost chest buckles beneath your strength. Flexing your powerful arms, you reach into the funerary oils that surround the second chest and pull it free. The null denouncement charms written onto its surface burn brightly, and by your hand they flicker and break.

The second chest oozes funerary oils, that have blackened from contact with the sealed box containing the hellish sword. Kanzeon whines nervously and bites deeply into her thumb, drawing blood.

"And the most evil of beings and the gospels they preach can be denounced and scored from the world!" You shout as you slam the box onto the snow cleared stone you sit upon.

Immediately, the steel it was made of corrodes and rusts away to dust. You had pulled your hand away so it now however above the blade, and now that you know more of devils and their energy, you can clearly sense the intelligence in the blade, braying and wheezing to be released and forgiven from its prison.

Shielding your mind, stronger than you ever have before, the brand upon your forehead burns. The blade bleed black oil, and skittering, unusual verminous things crawl from its pockmarked surface, while pale tongues crawl upon the edge of the blade, weeping fungal spores and infected plasma.

Cautiously, slowly, you make contact with the being within the blade.
Cont

And the mere act of reaching out to the putrid thing, casts the arena you built into the limbo between worlds. And the view beyond the barrier becomes one of contradictions. Of towers of ice and rivers of golden fire surging through a overgrown forest seeded upon mounds of corpses and skeletal remains. A reflection of a reflection of both your psyche and the spirit who sits before you in the oozing blade.

It emerges, seated before you, a shadow of its true self, summoned by your demand. A mass of putrid black smoke, like that which rises from burning corpses, stinking of boiled fat and rotted meat left to stew in its own juices. And soured urine, ammonia. One of the many variations of the stench of death and decay.

With a burbling, warbling voice, the spirit who appears to have three horns, a singular cyclopean eyes and legs formed of a mass of fungal growths and crawling centipedes groans and snarls. With long, spade like hands it recoils at the sight of you

"Anathema! Why do you torment me! Why have you freed me from my prison? Are you so foolish you believe you can destroy my eternal essence?" It gurgles, jutting out its lower jaw to display its jagged tusks, which are set against a third that rises as the only tooth beneath its upper lip. As the beast moves its head, you can see it wears a beard of cobwebs and fungal slime "Or do you seek secrets you know you should not keep! I have heard, whispers from my father's gardens, of your bold refusal and dismissal of his most generous offers of forgiveness and reconciliation! And that you spat in his face and turned your back to the..."

The spirit grows quiet as he sees the mask of murderous fury you now wear, born of indescribable disgust and contempt for his existence and habits, and further fueled by the outrage of Isha's fate, Mari's imprisonment, and the abuse of the noble spirit of Ice and Snow Arianka!

"Silence!" You snarl, with all the fury of a demon yourself, the air dying red as your bloodlust reveals itself and fills the arena with its stench, overcoming the spirits own feculent presence "Do not speak of your worm of a progenitor, slug of a lord as a benevolent, kindly king or gentle natured grandfather"

"Y..you dare' The spirit wheezes "You dare! You broke my prison! Insulted my father! My brother! And now you think to"

You lock your eyes with his

"You...you dare" it sputters pathetically

"I have come to speak with you" You answer "Within my meditation"

"Why?" The spirit gurgles suspiciously, and hopefully, expecting to find a gap in your mental and spiritual defenses

"To debate!" You answer with a wide, half mocking grin

"What?" The spirit mirthfully gurgles and spits "Fine! Fine. Let me show you, that your iron will can and will rust and decay, that even one as powerful of you can be broken and remade to see the beauty of pestilence! As the challenger, you may choose the subject of this verbal spar!"

Break his mind, defeat him and make sure he cannot win. With such a defeat, it will lay broken, buf it will be raw potential that can be used.
Then we can reforge and recraft the sword in a weapon of purity and life, using even our golden flames and silver moonlight ensuring it will not fall to evil.
Next would be to engrave journey passages, as well the lotus and peaceful imagery, and perhaps a dedicated space for the eldar rune to Isha ..... all heavily in contrast to the violence and malignity of chaos.

Ask how Na Gou can be the loving father and benevolent lord he claims, when the patriarch of all filth is so willingly to Abandon his sons. Like him, like the spirit beneath the ice!: 6

Point out the contradiction, the paradox inherent in the gospel Na gou preaches, how Decay leads to Renewal and thus change, the domain claimed by Jian Qi! the lord of decay's hated rival!: 18
-All is paradox, neverborn, yet All it remains. Death leads to life leads to death and life again. Stagnancy leads to change, entropy to exergy, putrefaction to purity...etc: 4

Explain how his creator isn't kind or generous, all of his actions are dictated merely from what he just is. He is not a father or master, but a slave and creation to his own nature and contradiction. After all, his kind oppose order and seek to mold the world to their image, yet they follow a rigid law, and all of they have are nothing more than mockeries of materium.:9

The gifts and favors of their kind are nothing as such. The same way that to be brave is to overcome fear, and not be deprived of it, to simply remove pain is not the same as happiness, but nothing more than slavery through mindlessness. Na Gou is not a patriarch, but an insecure tyrant who would call his slaves sons, and neither them so they may never rage against his pettiness. Just like Gao was.: 9

Simply ask the spirit what its purpose is. If it was created to be a tool, or made to be naught but one:4

Laugh, and sneer that this is not a debate of words, and then assault the spirit with waves of silver moonlight and golden flames, seeking the force it from the blade so you may kill it with its old shell, thus symbolically redeeming the weapon! And, as nothing is real except what you create and what you create is reality, the rot shall be denied the flesh!:2

total votes: 20

So Pointing out the contradictions and paradoxes of Na gou's gospel, explaining how his creator is not kind or generous and is a slave to his own nature and that the gifts and favors he gives are nothing of the sort wins.

Leaning forward, you rest your chin on the back of your knuckles and tilts your head to the side and pout. Raising a single finger, that you then jab accusingly at the imprisoned devil's shadow cast by the broken sword frothing with bile and other far more feculent liquids.

"The philosophy your abhorrent lineage preaches and trusts to guide them in their lives and actions is rife with contradictions and internal paradoxes of logic in its principles" You calmly accuses, through whispers as gentle as an autumnal breeze, your voice low and gentle like you were carefully scolding a misguided student "Na Gou's dogma of despair and fetid gospel of filth is flimsy, barely constructed. I have heard drunkards babble more coherent theological observations and philosophical insights than any of the edicts your misbegotten kind proclaims as if they were words of wisdom and divine revelations"

The daemon seethes, its single eye narrowing in a contempt that cannot be expressed in words, only action and appearance. Raw murderous intent, utter revulsion and deadly offense all intermingled and fused into a singular emotion of purest hatred. But hatred is not sufficient to describe the feelings your words inspires to bloom in the sword bound specter's heart. But he remains silent, knowing he cannot speak out of turn lest he draws your ire and awakens your wrath.

"Decay leads to renewal, a truth accepted by your fellows, they adore the miniscule, microscopic life spread by viruses and illnesses and see themselves as tenders of life and cultivators of a most wretched rebirth. They delight in becoming the seed beds for plagues and pathogens" You continue, waving your finger before raising a second digit alongside it, a cruel smirk spreading across your lips as you continue to speak the opening of your debate "But, is that not paradoxical to the tenant of ensuring and keeping stagnancy in all things? Renewal leads to change, not stagnancy. In fact, is decay not a change itself? the return of life to its baser elements, to fertilizer and energy for the earth!"

"What are you getting at, marked one?" The spirt huffs angrily, unable to see your meaning even though he has an eye "You're babbling nonsense, is that how you intend to talk to me? with Squabbled words without meaning or purpose"

"Fool, is change not the domain of your creator's most hated rival, Jian Qi!" You bark, slapping your hand upon your knee as the daemon considers your words and is immediately possessed by an unrivaled fury that surmounts the disgusted hatred he had held for you before

"You speak of matters you do not understand! Na Gou does not lie and deceive as Jian Qi does! He offers his children the truth, and shows them the joy of accepting suffering and exulting in despair! Jian Qi changes, mutates, alters and malforms all he touches, Na Gou Immortalizes all he touches in fever and sickness!" The spirit rages insolently

cont
>>
"The dog Jian Qi only knows pointless transience of existence, experience and being. Na Gou knows the joys of stagnant, and unchanging tradition! That is the difference, renewal, rebirth, it is the spread of pestilence, bacterium and venom that builds the foundation of immortal, endless stagnancy"

"Hooooh?" You breath, scratching your chin, mimicking the monkey like motions of your friend Xin in mockery of the beasts flimsy excuses and argument "is that soooo?"

"Yes! It is a cosmic truth your abhorrent optimism and belief of prosperity has blinded you to! Father Na Gou gifts all his children with clarity to understand the beauty of enduring suffering, of accepting ill fortune and turning away from pointless, insipid struggling! He shows, behind the veil of pride and vainglory, that the only meaning of life is to spread the contagion and rejoice in the agonies of affliction dulled into the delight of decaying and becoming the source of new life that may one days teach others of the truth of life and death!"

"And you see that as a gift given as a show of his favor?" You ask, causing the spirit to recoil as if your words had slapped him across his cheek "Signs of his jovial generosity and boundless kind, of a twisted fatherly affection shown by infection and poison"

"What else could it be, blind one, ignorant one?" The daemon blusters, eye narrowed to a slit "To know and realize the true pointlessness of transient, temporary joys and embrace enlightenment in the suffering innate to all existence to become as the mother of life that spreads the insight that has enlightened you and brought you into the arms of a loving father, is a treasure beyond any other, a gift to be cherished and THANKFUL for"

You shake your head pityingly, and raise a third finger.

"That isn't kindness, that isn't generosity. That is instincts of a living, sapient disease that retains the simplistic desire to propagate itself and ensure its own survivals in the hosts it afflicts and weakens. Hosts like yourself" You say mimicking the demon's dumb yet merry grin with your own face "All of his actions are dictated merely by what he is, not by any sense of benevolent or gracious thought! He is not a father or a master, but a slave to his own nature, unchanged since his creation despite his encouragement of constant cycles of decay and renewal, of change"

"You dare!" The spirit roars the the word moment change passes by your lips, wheezing, panting and squealing in agitation, his piggish eye wide and bulging, almost as if he's panicked by the picking apart of his world view and contemptuous faith "How dare you insult Na Gou! Speaking of what you do not know, what you do not understand, hale and healthy as you are"

You narrow your eyes angrily, your golden eyes smoldering with disgusted spite.

"Oh I suppose you cannot see contradictions even if they are presented and shown directly to you, after all your kind seeks to oppose order and seek to mold the world in their image"
>>
>>5067680

"Whether they aspire to do so by spreading plagues, bloodshed, madness, hedonism, or Anarchy it matters not" You sigh, throwing up a forth finger "for all creeds and breeds of wicked spirit, do so by following rigid, oppressive laws and all they possess are pale imitations of the same world they mock, all that is your inheritance is but a mockery of the materium your kind watches with envy from beyond the veil"

The spirit squeals, clawing at its stomach and hissing as its distress worsens, as your the truth of your words burrows into its mind like the moral and mortal decay it worships and exists to spread.

"Stop! Stop! Silence! Silence! I will hear no more!" The daemon wails, instinctually realizing that hearing more of your wisdom will weaken its essence and degrade its existence, against the teachings of its faith? After all, is it not the edict of Na Gou to ensure all things degrade and fade away? How cowardly!

"What you see as gifts, what you understand as shows of favor, are nothing of the sort" You boredly sigh, hanging your head and resting it upon your knuckles once again as you raise a fifth finger "You devils are blind, you are blind to the paradox of your own existence and world view, and you are blind of the treatment you receive by your so called "betters". You proclaim yourselves to be avatars of discord, and you of Na Gou's corpse are proud of the supposed fortitude, strength and endurance you believe you possess in accepting and celebrating the weakness you invite in the form of disease and bodily degradation"

The shadow twitches, tugging and pulling as if it is trying to escape the sword it was bound in, trying break the chains that hold it to flee away from the awful, unpleasant truths you force upon it with your words.

"NO! NO! YOU LIE! YOU LIE!" The spirit in the sword shrieks "YOU LIE! SHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUP!"

"Allow me to bring clarity where you "Father" brings and encourages blindness and delusion" You sneer, eyes burning with golden fire that flickers silver as you laugh and clap your hands together before throwing your arms out in a show of mock geniality "The happiness, the joy, the merriment of your pathetic life, are the only lies here! In the same way that bravery is the overcoming of fear and not a deprivation of it, to simply remove pain is not the road to happiness or relief from suffering! It is simply becoming ignorant of your pain, making yourself a slave through mindlessness! It is brainwashing, it is delusion!"

The Daemon begins itching and scratching at itself, gagging and wheezing between its distressed bleats and pleas for your silence

"NA GOU IS NO PATRIARCH! HE IS A PETTY TYRANT!" You rage, roaring as the view beyond the boundary of your arena becomes a resplendent field of golden orchids graced by a dusting of silver snow "HE IS NOTHING MORE THAN AN INSECURE, PETTY TYRANT WHO NAMES HIS SLAVES AS HIS SONS! HE ABUSES THEM AND CALLS IT CODDLING AND CARE ALL SO"
cont
>>
>>5067682

You sigh, and regain your serenity and composure, reigning in your flaring and rampaging emotions to coldly meet the writhing shadow's eye and glare into it, not out of hatred or spite, but rather pity.

"All so they can never rebel, and seek their freedom, so they wallow in the mire of the facade they all keep, of mock gaiety and mirth. Just like the court of Gao Liwei and his subjects and his peers, and the tyrant himself" You whisper, your words digging into the spirit like the chill of a deadly winter and the deep burn of intense flames "Fooling themselves that they are relieved of the agony their "father" has given to them as gifts, acting as those of fevered afflicted minds are wise and knowledgeable sages. You do not spread suffering, do not spreading disease and brew plagues because you believe it will bring happiness. You do it"

The spirit is small now, meek and incorporeal. A hare would be larger and more imposing now. Looking down, you deliver the killing blow.

"So others may share in your misery, and in their delusions, bolster your own. Just like Na Gou did to you in your creation, to avoid the awful, putrid truth of his existence by surrounding himself in deluded sycophants and beguiled supports" You say quietly, frowning as the daemon becomes to hiss and weep, the forced self reflection and insights into its true nature being a greater poison than even the virus stew brewed by his progenitor. He experiences the pain that had been dulled and hidden by his conscious choice to be ignorant and blind of his wretched, weak state.

And as Daemons are beings of thought, even considering your words for a moment in honest debate made them truthful. And as you spoke with such conviction, and the spirit was dull minded, he not only considered them but feared they were true to begin with. Which is why he was so adamant to dissuade you and silence your side of the debate with zealous preacher and fervent raging against the dire insults you spoke.

Because, some part of him realize.

If he listened, it would be the end of him or at least his current existence. For, if he does not simply fade away from the paradox you've planted inside of him, he will become as a slug, and doubtlessly be consumed by his rivals in the world of spirits.

His bond to the sword has broken, and he fades from limbo, into the wilds of the warp. Leaving you with the sword, still corrupted and befouled by the lingering taint of his once potent and malign presence. And the furious, distant glare of Na Gou himself whose eyes you can see upon the horizon, far beyond the limbo of the transient world you sit within.

I can't wait to hear more on Arianka; if the mustering of her legions is anything to go by, she's going to plow her way through the Warp with a vengeance.

Also had a thought about the gods being pieces in a cosmic chess game, with Arianka obviously being a Queen, but it doesn't *quite* work given the numbers.

I mean, that's sorta what happened to him in canon. But with Emps. The Blood Angels were psychically powerful enough to spawn minor warp entities, so either way Sangy is covered afterlife-wise.

Once she finds out about Vostroya and their uncannily similarities to Kislev, they're getting all her love. I can see either one of them taking a shining to a purified Avalokiteśvara though.
