The Grail War continues, and you continue to prepare yourself and your allies for the final assault today

You are Shinji Makiri, Ten years ago you suddenly found yourself with the memories of a complete past life that saw this world as a fictional story due to some unprecedented form of inter-dimensional transportation. Since that day, your new composite being has been working to change the grim future laid out for you.

To that end, you have done much, involving yourself with events and situations that have shifted the future away from the one that you once would have faced and instead onto one of uncertainty and chaos.

An enemy beyond anything within the Fifth Holy Grail War awaits you, and the danger it represents to the fabric of reality itself is far greater than anything you could've ever envisioned. The grail itself is an insignificant speck compared to the true evil that you must now confront.

"It's no big deal, Giselle, really." You looked at your maid with a heartfelt smile. "I'm happy that you're happy, and so long as you can smile like that, it means I've done the right thing." You then reached down and hugged the woman, who freezes up a little as you embrace her. Your hug with the maid lasts for some time before you let her go again, and she looks just a little bit flustered as she rises to her feet once again.

"W-well, then let us make our way to Lady Illyasviel. I am sure she won't mind officially recognizing me as your personal maid at this point." Giselle attempted to maintain an aura of professionalism, but the fact that she was unused to the weight of her tail made her movement quite awkward as she kept nearly tripping up as she tried to keep herself steady. She'd adjust to it soon enough, you knew, but it was still kind of cute to see her coming to terms with the new appendage.

"Alright, lead the way then Giselle." You smiled at your maid and she smiled back at you before she led you the rest of the way to Illya's room. Inside you saw a somewhat odd scene. It was by no means a small room, but there seemed to be a few more people in the place than there should have been. Illyasviel was sitting at a table next to her bed with Kiritsugu to one side and Shirou to the other. Saber was next to Shirou. EMIYA was standing in a corner, Sella and Leysritt were both standing by the door and Taiga was sitting next to Kiritsugu.

Illya noticed your arrival first. "Oh! Shinji! You got my invitation! I wanted to invite you to a private tea and breakfast prepared by Sella and Leysritt as a thank you, but... well, I may have invited a few more people than I was thinking I would, ehehe~" Yes, but you couldn't really blame her for inviting her family to the breakfast, and uh... Taiga, for some reason. You don't exactly know how Taiga got an invite, but whatever.

"Well, thank you for inviting me regardless, Illyasviel." You hadn't exactly gotten to see much of her recently, and sometimes it was just nice to be in a room full of women who you were pretty sure weren't going to start fighting over you. "But... was there any specific reason you invited me to this breakfast?" You were curious, of course, and Illyasviel was one of those people who was nearly impossible to read. She was excellent at disguising her ulterior motives behind that cheerful child-like exterior of hers.

"Specific reason...? Do I need to give a reason to somebody who I am indebted to?" Illya puts a hand on her chin. "I did want Giselle to try to find that Ninja of yours as well, but... I wasn't about to waste Giselle's time by making her look for a-" Her eyes widen massively when she looks at the maid properly. "Eep! G-Giselle? What happened to you? Why do you look so... different?!"
>>
"It is Makiri-sama's doing. He used his abilities upon me, and now I am... different." She looked at her hands. "Better, even." Your maid explained to her previous Master, who nodded.

"I... I see. That power of yours is... really kind of terrifying, Shinji." Illya looked a little worried about something as she looked at Giselle, before she turned away from the maid and back to you. "Putting aside the matter of Giselle for a moment, take a seat and have some tea! I want to talk." Illya smiled again as she gestured for you to sit down and you do so. Sella pours you a cup of tea and you drink it slowly as you look at the subdued mood of the room. Looks like nobody really wants to initiate conversation right now. Saber and Kiritsugu look especially uncomfortable whenever they meet each other's gaze.

Might wanna ask Kiritsugu to briefly tell what happened after he was Avaloned, not just about body. He might reveal some info on what Acht is up to. He surely saw or heard something before being made into a teddytsugu. However, it will surely sore the mood, so ,I guess, it is not an option here.

MAN it feels good to be back. Whilst this quest was on Hiatus I found and ended up reading a fanfic by the name of “Path of The King”. It’s a Medea route fic and I’ll admit it’s written quite well. I’m currently caught up having read all 60 chapters.

And yes Shirou and Medea fuck. Twice actually. No realtua nua shit here, the smut is written as such and isn’t skipped over, not to mention theres no weird dragon or anything like that. Gotta give the author credit for actually writing it as opposed to just setting up the scene and leaving the rest to the imagination…apologies for all this coomer talk by the way. Seriously though its a good fic. Just don’t question why Dojima and Adachi are there…they just…are. For some reason.

It is funny how over the course of quest we ended up almost perfect match for her.
Similar attitude towards humanity, snake-dragon connection and sun connections as well, passion for martial arts and her personality is a good match for Shinji as he is now. And plenty of our allies like Karna, Tamamo, Nero, Vritra, Eresh, Alcides, Pollux, Miyako and Giselle are in a good spot right now to interact with her over shared interests.
A lot of potentially strong concepts too.

'Chiyome, would you mind revealing yourself if you're in the room? Or if not, would you mind coming to Illyasviel's room? She wants to thank you for helping her, I think' You mentally reach out to the ninja, and don't have to wait long for your reply, which comes in the form of Chiyome just materializing in the opposite corner of the room to Archer and bowing respectfully. She... really doesn't mess around when it comes to being your shadow, does she? Illya's eyes widen a little as she notices that Chiyome was in the room the whole time and she didn't notice her presence. Though to be fair, nobody else did either. Chiyome is pretty fantastic when it comes to hiding. Sella and Leysritt are obviously alarmed at the fact that the Assassin so easily snuck past them.

"Good morning, my lord. Lady Illyasviel." Chiyome greets both you and Illya before she takes a position at your side. Illya gets over her shock pretty rapidly and smiles happily at Chiyome, glad that the ninja who saved her life was in the room all along.

Still, you can't focus entirely on Chiyome, there are a few things you want to talk to everyone else about, first off Giselle. "You've already noticed, but... I have given Giselle a concept that has empowered her greatly, in addition to fixing the short lifespan she would have otherwise suffered from." You squeeze Giselle's hand as you say that, and the maid looks happy. "With that in mind, I want you to officially recognize Giselle as my own personal maid, and to sever her contract as a maid for the Einzbern." You make your request, and Illya nods.

"Of course, it's only fair that Giselle becomes your maid. She's clearly wanted it for a long time now anyway." Illya seems genuinely happy to be surrounded by her family, and you kind of feel like patting her on the head, but you feel like that might end up antagonizing Kiritsugu.

"Thank you, Illya." You are glad that she's not going to oppose your request, you think that Giselle at this point much prefers the idea of being your personal maid anyway. "Now, how about a demonstration of your new abilities, Giselle? Use your Alchemical skills on..." You pick up a clean plate before handing it to her. "Use them on this plate, show us what you can do."

Giselle nods as she starts to focus on the china plate, before the plate starts to change color. First to a metallic steel, then to a shining gold, then it disintegrates as it turns into an orb of water floating above Giselle's hand before it turns to gold once again. An orb of gold that she places upon the table with a smile. "W-will this do?" She didn't seem entirely confident in her new abilities yet, but her miraculous usage of alchemy to transmute and control an object with very little effort had made Illya's eyes go wide for the second time in quick succession.
>>
"Yes, great work Giselle." You pick up the orb of gold and inspect it. It's absolutely flawless, no imperfections at all. Giselle's grasp on her new abilities might be restricted right now, but she did with ease what many thousands of alchemists once spent their entire lives trying and failing to do. You then look over to EMIYA in the corner. "You know, you should stop being so stuck up and actually join the breakfast, Archer. You wouldn't want to upset Illya, would you?" Archer frowns before he walks away from his corner to take a seat at the table without saying anything else. With the unruly Archer taking a seat at the table, you turn to his younger self. "So... Shirou, how are you feeling, anyway?"

"Well, I'm feeling a little apprehensive about things. That girl... she's too strong." The boy seemed worried about Manaka's appearance last night. You waited for him to continue. "Saber... she told me just how powerful that Goddess who showed up was, and that girl... she really just defeated her in a single strike without any mercy or hesitation." Shirou was worried, it looked like. "What if... what if she can do the same thing to us? To just instantly kill anybody in her path?"

"Don't worry, I won't let that happen, Shirou. Besides..." You manifest Rhon in your hand. "Rhongomyniad lives on inside this spear. Manaka wasn't capable of killing her... I saved her." You allow Rhongomyniad to disappear once again and you look at Shirou. "But... besides Manaka, how are things?" You don't really want to focus entirely on that girl, after all.

"I guess I'm feeling alright...? It's a shame what happened last night, I was looking forward to seeing how the contest ended, but... I guess now that's going to have to wait until after the war, huh?" Shirou just shrugged, you were a little disappointed as well, you were indeed looking forwards to seeing who was going to win the tournament but you supposed that it didn't really matter at the end of the day, it's not like there was ever any goal or point to the tournament other than to waste some time.

"Yeah, it's kind of a shame, but... well, we couldn't have predicted what was going to happen." You just shook your head before turning to Taiga. "So... Taiga...?" The woman looked you in the eyes. "How are you feeling about this whole situation anyway?"

"A little confused, but... everyone is helping explain things to me, and I think that I'm getting it... slowly." Taiga was clearly the one in control of the body right now, and you were happy that Alaya wasn't taking the reins at all times. "I never knew that stuff like this was happening in Fuyuki!" Looks like she was taking it pretty well, all things considered. As expected of Taiga, such a carefree woman. "I'm glad that Kiritsugu is back too!" She hugged the arm of the man, who looked a little exasperated, but didn't speak up.
>>
"Speaking of... Kiritsugu, how are you feeling about being back in your body?" You want to make sure that everything was in order and he wasn't missing a portion of his soul or something.

"Yeah. Much better." He kept his words short. Clearly embarrassed about the whole situation, so you didn't want to press him on things. Even if it was totally his own fault that he got turned into a plush toy for years. Impatient idiot that he is.

"Finally... Illya, was there something that you wanted to talk to me about in particular?" You turned to the girl who organized this breakfast, and she smiles at you.

"It was mostly just me wanting to thank you and do something nice for you, Shinji. Even if you didn't show up personally to do it, you and Chiyome saved my life, and I'll be forever grateful for you doing that." You didn't really need her praise. You doubt you'd ever have been able to forgive yourself if you allowed Illya to disappear like that. "I've heard what sort of person you are from Shirou. You are the sort of person who never rests when he has a goal in mind, and I don't want to you to be miserable." She smiles at you, and you can't help but smile back at the girl.

"Thank you for caring about me, Illya... I actually wanted to take this as an opportunity to talk about something I want to do after the war." Illya looks interested in what you have to say next, and you smile just a little. "After the war, I'm going to put an end to Acht's schemes and save all of the homunculi under his control once and for all. I don't believe that there are going to be any objections to this?" The room was silent. Good. The room didn't have much to say after that, and everyone just enjoyed their breakfast without many more words being exchanged.

After the breakfast was about finished, you looked at Illya again, and then to Saber and Shirou at her side. "I used my powers to increase Giselle's powers a great deal, and... it might be crucial that I do this for as many people as possible before our final attack against Manaka. We know that she's going to be tremendously powerful, so... that's why I'm going to offer a concept to anybody who is willing to take one... Saber, how are you feeling since I applied that concept to you last night?"

"Stronger than ever, but I still doubt my strength against that girl." Saber spoke truthfully, and though you agreed, the empowering she has received might mean the difference between life and death if she does end up confronting Manaka alone for whatever reason.

"If you're offering to make people stronger, than do it to me, Shinji." Shirou stepped forwards. "I want to be able to stand at Saber's side and fight with her." Looks like Shirou is determined.

Yes, this one is really good for him.
>Redman can get what Shirou gets
If he receives same concept it would be pretty nice but if not I suggest Resolve for EMIYA.
It would work well with his personality and should not alter it at all.
His Independent Action, Magic Resistance skills would benefit from it a lot and he should get some mental protection from it as well.
His Clairvoyance, Mind's Eye (True) skills would also see an upgrade from it as Resolve can be applied to their mechanics too.
I can see him getting Determination of Steel from it too.

>Shuten (Potential transformation or Onikuya)
I am leaning towards Dharmapala for her now. It has same idea as Transformation and Onikuya but also taps into myths of benevolent onis like Yama.
Since Dharmapala is used as description of her Magical Girl skills and Noble Phantasm it is definitely stronger one.

It was about making him being able to feel emotions for humans properly, correct?

We offered to concept everyone in the room who wants it, and that includes Redman and Kerry. Kintsugi is great for Kerry. I'm not sure what we should give Redman, but it can't be Mastery. Concepts are one-use only.

>>4922338

>>4922348
>>4922362
Should we really concept Merlin and Morgan? Since they both have Independent Manifestation it might lead to creating a Lostbelt, just like with Tiamat, and I'm not sure the Lostbelts lead by their past selves would be as nice places as the one lead by Tiamat.

Thank Allah for gachagods, studying myths related to servants and research in general.

>We also used Purity for our Pure Eye, Poison for bottle of Alcohol and I think Perfection for Shiki`s eyes.

Thanks, these go to the list
Also that is why we used Immaculate on Touko, Shiki already consumed one.

>Self-Determination. Not sure if it is matters or not.
Probably, related concepts should still count as separate and can be applied to other beings as far as I understand.

>>4922369

>Concepts are one-use only.

Yeah, that slipped my mind because I am used to considering them the same being.

Then again about the rules of concept application. It might have been discussed earlier, but I skimmed a good chunk of discussions.
On our current level we can apply specific and general concepts.
However, is there any restriction on the word count? Or the word count does not matter as long as they denote/relate to a concept or just add meaning and do not directly infringe on the territory of already applied concept? For example, self-determination and determination or endless expansion and endless.

It is one use per being. However, similar concepts can still be applied to several beings. Otherwise there are pretty much no restriction as to what apply to who? Except the cost of application and potential personality shift.

>Incarnation on Medusa's sisters and Anthropomorphism on the Argo

Not that important, but they need to be added as they consumed a concept.

>Should we really concept Merlin and Morgan?

Manifestation is one thing. I am more concerned about the prospect of at least Morgan relapsing on bad habits and that conquering the world thing in the future if she'll get new abilities. We may very well create a villain for post-war arcs. Unless we give a concept with personality altering in mind. If there will be any arcs, that is.

>Caenis
We promised to do something with that Poseidon blessing, don't remember if there was a concept though.

Yeah, Merlin would benefit from this. We should just be aware and discuss possible unintended consequences.

>>4922459
Well, concept application did not exactly come with a manual. One-use only is the only firm rule we know for sure, including the fact that we can't cheat by using direct translations. Otherwise we're in uncharted territory, with potentially terrible and irreversible consequences if we fuck up.

>word count
We don't really know. Self-determination proves we're not restricted to one word, but my gut feeling would be that "Endless Expansion" would not be valid.

Otherwise yeah, no restrictions we're aware of.

>Morgan
I was very worried about her faking it, but the new information about LB6 put those worries at rest. She genuinely turned a new leaf and tried her best to make her world a better place for thousands of years. Shinji doesn't have access to this information, but I'm no longer worried about her.

>If there will be any arcs, that is.
There will be several post war arcs, unless WhatIs decides to abandon the quest early for some weird reason.

Regarding giving Morgan concept, our main goal should be more to help her continuing on path of redemption. Her main obstacle is her fairy nature and we have living example in Obeithion that general nice concepts tend to work rather well to channel fairy moments into positive influence rather than making fairies falling down the scheming ladder during them.
For Caenis iirc we told her that we or Illya will get rid of Poseidon`s influence and give her equal power in exchange.
>>4922512
She likely was in elemental chambers gacha in Grandpa`s snake cave.
I would probably go with something to empower her more benevolent aspects as a nice gift since she has no need for special concept to fix something for her or help with some personal issue.

i'm on copium and telling myself its just because this is Ciel's trailer and Satsuki only becomes relevant in Far Side
>>
>>4923671
Easy on the copium.
Remember that if Satsuki is going to be a relevant character, it kind of has to be a near-side plot and not a far-side plot.
Arcueid sort of has to be in the story in some way for Satsuki to be the main character.
It can't be far-side and related to the mystery of the Tohno family like the other far-side plots because outside of being turned by SHIKI/Roa. she has nothing to do with the Tohno.
She's directly related to the vampire aspect of Tsukihime's plot, so would have to be Near-side.

Basically, we've been betrayed once again.

I get that you lads are angry. But unless Nasu EXPLICITLY SAYS “yeah no this isn’t happening lmao” or “yeah I changed my mind TsukiRe is Near Side only lmao”, presume it is happening but has yet to be properly revealed.

Tldr; just calm down and be realistic here.
It’s happening, just not right now.
>>
>>4923747
Where does this hope come from, I wonder?
Two decades for an unfinished game?
You realize it's been a decade and we're still waiting for Mahoyo chapter 2 and 3 to come out right?
I also remember that interview also had Nasu actively shitting on FGO and calling all Mobage forgettable games to turn your brain off to, and then saying that you need to play TsukiRe on a console for that CINEMATIC experience and it wouldn't feel right on PC.
Despite the VN releasing on the Switch.
Nasu is full of shit.
Also, in what world would Sacchin be a Far-Side route? The Far-Side is all about the Tohno family and their secret past and it is very much seperate from Arcuied and Ciel and their business. Why do you believe that Sacchin could fit in the Far-side if we are ever getting it?
She has nothing to do with the Far-Side and no connection to the Tohno family outside of having a crush on Shiki.
If she was in the Far-side as a major character, she'd just be out of place.
The ONLY way it could work is if it were some sort of FULL MOON final story which combines aspects from both the Far and Near side, but I don't imagine Nasu will do that.

"Alright, then hold on just a moment, Shirou." You started to think of just what sort of concept would be good to apply to one of your best and oldest friends in this world. You really didn't want to give Shirou a weaker concept, yet you had to ponder for a while just what would be the best to apply to Shirou... there were many potential concepts that could be applied to him, but which would serve him the best...? Would you be able to apply a concept to both him and Unlimited Blade Works separately, like you did for Sakura and her internal world? Honestly, you'd need him to manifest Unlimited Blade Works first to see if it was possible, and now... well, it just didn't feel like it would be a good time to ask him to do such a thing, not to mention you didn't even know if he was capable of doing it at all at this point.

You approached Shirou and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Do you have any specific requests as to what you want applied to yourself?" You wanted to make sure he didn't have anything specific in mind, but he shook his head.

"Not really... it's your ability, so you're the one who knows how it works the best, right?" Well... your power didn't really seem to have any consistent rule to it, so you couldn't really tell what was going to work best yourself half of the time, though Shirou wasn't wrong. You didn't think that anybody knew how your powers worked better than you did. Or at least you hoped that was the case anyway.

"Yeah, pretty much." You smiled at your friend before you hardened your gaze. You knew that whatever Shirou's internal conceptual world was, it was certainly not going to be a cakewalk like some internal worlds were. Not when the most integral moment of Shirou's life is stained in trauma and self-loathing.

The ten second pre-requisite had finally ended, and you allowed your consciousness to drift into the deepest part of Shirou's being. Immediately, the first thing to hit you was the intense heat of roaring flame, and you had to shield your face mere moments after appearing within the world to protect yourself from the flames, it seemed like your empowered body wasn't any protection against the conceptual flames of this world.

Focusing on getting yourself out of the flames for a moment, you soon found yourself on a street, pooled around your ankles was a caustic black goo that tried to corrupt and tear you apart, but it was merely a reconstruction of Angra Mainyu's Grail Mud. It wasn't the true thing, thankfully. Still, it did sting a fair bit, so you traversed the streets by leaping from wrecked car to wrecked car, avoiding touching the corrosive mud flowing across the ground as well as the bursts of flame igniting everything around you.
>>
You kept exploring Shirou's hellish internal world for a while until you found something out of the ordinary in the rubble of a collapsed house. A sword shoved into the ground. You examined the sword in great detail, finding the design to be nearly identical to Excalibur. Your heart skipped a beat for a moment when next to the sword, in addition to a sheathe that looked nearly identical to Avalon, was a twitching human hand poking out of the rubble! You had to stop yourself from immediately trying to help the person out of the rubble by reminding yourself that this was a conceptual world, and that despite appearances, nothing here was actually real... you think. After Tiamat, you aren't so sure anymore. Then again, there's no way that Avalon and Excalibur could've been here, so your mind was put at ease. Still, you had to determine which of these three things was Shirou's conceptual core.

>Avalon.
>Excalibur.
>The hand.
>Write-in?

>Avalon.
Saber called Shirou her sheath, Avalon is the thing that changed his origin into Sword, its Avalon man
>>
>>4923975
>The hand.
My guess is that hand represents his life motivation, survival`s guilt and all other emotional baggage Shirou is carrying with him.
Avalon is likely second best option as it is represents change in his Origin and Element.
Excalibur should be his new strong connection with Saber. Very important to him but not a conceptual core.
>>
>>4923975
The hand
>>
The hand is the shirou that had the will to survive the mud, its him in his raw state
Avalon was what forged him as the sword he is today

>the hand

It's very likely that this is his deepest form within his very being. Being the survivor of that tragedy made him who he is, it turned him to Kiritsugu, which in turned gave his desire to be a hero.

If this works, we might permanently stop Shirou from ever heading towards the fate of becoming EMIYA ever again via applying this concept.

I wouldn't exactly call it an absurd amount of effort.
He has had literal years to write this.

Yeah, it's a fair reminder, but Satsuki doesn't belong on the Far-side.
That's my point.
The only way she gets her route is if we get a route that combines both Sides into one mega finale.

>>

Touko is still a special case when it comes to designs though, considering that she can theoretically just have her puppets look like whatever she wants to a degree.
I strongly doubt that it's going to be Narbareck, considering that her normal role is to keep the Burial Agency in check. It might be another agent or somebody else though.

You reach down and grab the twitching hand. While it could be the sword or the sheathe, as those are both objects that have tremendous significance to Shirou. The most crucial thing and important thing in Shirou's life was undoubtedly this moment in time. There can be nothing that would be more suited as Shirou's conceptual core than himself at that very moment. You took the small hand poking out of the rubble and began to infuse it with a concept as you did. The concept of 'Mastery'.

You infused the concept into the arm as you pulled the boy it belonged to out of the rubble, it seemed as if the conceptual application had started to have an effect on the world around it. The fires had been extinguished, and the rubble was disappearing. You continued to pull the boy upwards, and the mud coating the streets boiled away into nothing. Finally, you finished pulling the child version of Shirou free of the rubble, and at the moment you did, the world around you shifted and changed one last time. The wrecked part of the city you were standing in had completely recovered from all damage now. Leaving you standing just outside a house, dangling the unhurt sleeping body of the child Shirou from one of his arms.

You didn't get much of a chance to look around any further than that, because moments after you had finished the application of the concept, you felt yourself being pulled out of Shirou's conceptual world, you took one last look at the restored part of Fuyuki City before allowing yourself to leave entirely.

Status Updated!

You took a deep breath as you found yourself staring at Shirou once more, before you took your arm off of him. "Well as far as I can tell, it was a complete success, Shirou." You smiled at the boy, who looked alarmed at the new powers he had been granted. Yes, they were mighty powers indeed, but you got the feeling that he'd need to be this powerful if he wanted to help against Manaka and fight at Saber's side.

"That... was surprisingly easy, actually." Shirou sounded amazed at how much your powers had helped him to get more powerful, and how easily it had occurred. Of course, you didn't really like to brag, but there was no denying that your abilities really were incredible. With all that you've done with your powers so far, you had started to wonder just where the limit with them actually lied. Where was your peak? Did a peak even exist for you? Because you still felt like you hadn't even started to approach that peak.
>>
It hadn't taken an incredible deal of energy to apply the concept to Shirou, but it turns out that even with your dragon core, more powerful concepts like Mastery were still relatively expensive to apply, though you felt like you could easily grant more than a few more before having to stop for fears of your energy running low. You looked around the room to see just who was around...

>Ask who wants to be next. (What concept?)
>Choose the next person to apply a concept to. (Who and what?)
>Ask Shirou to try out his new abilities.

Ilya is probably the next most important person in the room, because if Manaka gets to her she has the lesser grail + Alcidies + Jason and through Jason, can hold the entire Argo crew and Argo-chan herself hostage.

Materialisation was the current frontrunner for her iirc. But there might be something better. I have some ideas but I'll articulate them when I've got some free time.

At this stage I'm actually thinking Anima, in relation to the soul. Seeing as Ilya is now a gbj for divine spirits and the third magic centred around achieving materialisation of the soul. It's a powerful concept, but it fits her thematically too.

Also funnily enough, as POWER focused Time was for Mordred, with new LB6 revelations about Morgan's capabilities it's actually really kino retroactively.

As is Longinus being wielded by Ceil, seeing as it costs the user's lifespan to use and not mana, it's kind of a cheat meme weapon for her.

Illya is definitely the next most important person in the room, and not just for power purposes. She is an important character, an important person in Shinji's life and the person we most want to empower and protect out of them.

So, Anima instead of simply Materialization? It seems like a strictly better concept for her, and even more fitting. Materialization applies to other things that materialization of the soul and it would only tie to the Third Magic. But Anima also ties to her unique nature as the daughter of a homunculus and a human and the unique, powerful soul she has because of that as well as the changes she underwent due to being briefly possessed by Ishtar.

And we should also ask Shirou to try out his new abilities before we concept Illya. It won't cost anything.

>>4924903
We have already concepted Eresh with Rejuvenation. Kur is something we should try to do before attacking the temple, yeah, but it's not so easily done.

>Choose the next person to apply a concept to. (Ilya and Anima)
>Before applying the concept, activate your Blessed Dragon Core and recite the full Aria.
>Ask Shirou to test his newfound capabilities however he thinks could best assist with preparing for the coming conflict

It might be big, but seeing as we're currently handing out concepts we should really be making best use of our abilities to ensure that they all work, and come out as best as they can.

Anima shilling:

Really obvious Third Magic links with materialisation of the soul, anima is the latin term for soul. However it also has links to a lot of other stuff that the simple translation of soul doesn't.

>an individual's true inner self that in the analytic psychology of C. G. Jung reflects archetypal ideals of conduct
>also - an inner feminine part of the male personality

Feminine aspect of the soul, as well as the true self.

The term was also used in old pharmaceutical and alchemical practices, for the homunculus foundational links.

>all living things from the smallest bacterium to the largest of mammals are the souls themselves (Atman, jiva) and have their physical representative (the body) in the world. The actual self is the soul, while the body is only a mechanism to experience the karma of that life. Thus if one sees a tiger then there is a self-conscious identity residing in it (the soul), and a physical representative (the whole body of the tiger, which is observable) in the world. Some teach that even non-biological entities (such as rivers and mountains) possess souls. This belief is called animism.[5]

Anima gives links to all things through the soul directly. Which means through Ilya using the Third and materializing souls, she could theoretically materialise ANYTHING, making Anima a hard upgrade to Materialisation AND being something that directly connects to her magic, her origins as a homunculus AND, specifically, enables her to function as her True inner self, which is kinda kino and ensures she doesn't get disfigured as a character.

With powers Illya got out of Ishtar we have a lot of interesting possibilities with concept of Anima.
Her Divine Core of the Goddess (Grail) and Wishcraft as well as listed above things have solid connection to animism in general and all other everything-have-a-soul beliefs. With Third, Lesser Grail status, Divine and Homunculus connection to the world being known value, we can draw a solid guess from Anima to Anima Mundi. It plays into Gaia theory and Panpsychism from our World which directly translates to connection to both Gaia and Alaya, potential power over Human Order. Potentially drawing power from it and further helping to mend relationship between Gaia and Alaya.
If she ends up getting something akin to Hegel`s Weltgeist, I would not rule out Illya being able to just access the throne to get powers from Heroic Spirits. Not unlike how Class Cards works in Prisma or how Argo can do now with her crew.

Really refreshes my mind on the criticism that anon had in last thread, where you have to asspull obscure write-ins to progress in the quest because all the regular post options are trap options that will kill you or have other unwanted results. Which does bring up the question: Why does WhatIs even bother giving us regular post options if he's encouraging exactly what he doesn't want, unless his real purpose is for the players to fuck up and die or make things worse for themselves? What do you think as the prime mover write-in autist of these threads, Niggerman?

This update specifically was pretty open ended. I just like giving evidence for stuff so anons can see how I came to conclusions. The actual vote is literally three lines. Personally if the mindset a player has is "thing long, me feel excluded, thinking hard" in a text-only format then their opinion really doesn't matter imo.

Honestly, quests enable you to run a VN style story where the MC isn't limited by author prompts, and the audience being able to actually think and direct the story in interesting ways is good. But the extent write-ins happen here is only valid in a metaknowledge quest. If I ever actually have time to host my own quest idea I'll be pretty restrictive on certain write ins because the MC is an already defined character. Shinji however started as a random TM autist isekaied into said universe. It's completely in character for him to be overanalysing things and drawing from his TM wiki knowledge + polymath gigabrain to come up with solutions intelligently. Write-ins have to pass a "is this in character?" filter, which I think WhatIs manages fine here I guess?

We could have easily picked a default option here, and it wasn't exactly worth QM's time to do a pre-existing prompt for the literal room full of characters here and their possible concepts.

Honestly, majority of the writeins are really just the default prompts with a few extra steps, or a few mixed together with a "and add x and or y for safety" option. For a recent example of where default prompts are just fine, Touko's puppet concepts had Kensei, which was actually better than the write-in proposal option and was a default prompt.

For QM motivation, I feel being able to post an update that specifically baits discussion like the cliffhangers left intentionally to generate thread discussion and plan a response is good for both players to feel like they can get involved in a story, as well as enabling the QM to return and find almost an update of content reflected back on them and know their story is engaging to the readers, and also, to generate ideas and entertainment for themselves that maintains motivation. Kind of like a back and forth of, QM writes update, audience plans through ideas and comes to a conclusion, QM gets to read through a pseudo quest in itself as a reward for getting players invested enough to talk things over.

Metaquest + polymath gigabrain MC is kind of the only setting this would work as it does here, but I recall older fate quests that would actively include the anon voices in MC's head as a council of ideas in story as a familiar. So I've seen it help a few quests along. I think that's the one issue with reading through a quest you're far behind on and skipping all the anon commentary, it's part of the quest experience. Otherwise the QM may as well have written a VN or fanfic. Audience discussion is part of the reason you write things as a quest.

"Alright, Illya. Do you have any problems with being next? Or would you rather I applied a concept to somebody else first? I don't want to rush you at all, because we do have all day long before we'll have to go and attack Manaka, but..."

"No, I don't have any problems with being the next person after my Onii-chan. I trust you... how could I not? You were the one who saved me after that goddess tried to steal my body, and... well, most of the time, you've shown yourself to be highly capable." Most of the time? "I... I mean... well... ehehe... I heard about what happened the other night..." Illya started looking around awkwardly, as if she was looking for a way to escape the situation she had just trapped herself in.

"Don't worry, Illya. I know what you meant to say. There's no need to worry about me though. I may have lost it a little back then thanks to the constant unrelenting stress, but I can assure you that I won't be suffering any breakdowns like the one I had the other day in the future. I can't afford to do that." You promised the girl that you'd remain reliable from now on, and that you wouldn't just freak out and do something ridiculous... even if it did end up having a relatively positive effect on Nero herself, you can't exactly justify flipping out mentally on the fact that Nero enjoyed your little performance with her. There's a time and a place for everything, after all, and your song and dance with Nero was something that could've at least waited until you were in private.

"I believe you. I just want to tell you that you shouldn't push yourself too hard. You have Servants like Assassin there who would happily take some of the burden you carry." Illya clearly cared about your well-being, but you just smile at her. Is everybody going to give you this speech? You knew that they cared for you, but you didn't need to be constantly reminded about what happened with Nero.

"Alright, alright. I know, but... I can't justify taking it easy at all today. Not after what happened last night." You dropped your smile and instead put on a stern face. "If we had been more prepared yesterday, we might've been able to put an end to this entire conflict then, rather than be placed on this time limit like you have. Ah well... it's not like it was completely hopeless. You still had today to put a stop to Manaka's machinations, and you had faith in yourself and in your friends. "Now, hold still." You approached Illya properly, before you placed your hand atop her head, causing her to flinch slightly, though she quickly recovered from her surprise.
>>
"I don't know what you should give me... I just... I want to be able to fight at everyone's side!" Illya sounded brave, but the reality was that she was already strong enough to do just that. Her initial transformation into a goddess because of the actions of Ishtar has already made her strong enough to fight on the level of a Servant. Maybe she just didn't realize how strong she had become yet? It was also quite strange, surrounded by her family as she was, Illya seemed to be flipping between acting her age and acting her appearance. You don't know if you found it cute or off-putting, but it probably wasn't worth thinking about too hard. She was obviously just happy to finally have most of her family at her side.

You didn't respond to Illya, instead closing your eyes and allowing yourself to enter the conceptual world of the homunculus turned goddess.

It's cold. Freezing, even. You look around to find yourself standing in the middle of a snow blanketed forest. A blizzard roars around you as you try to come to terms with your current surroundings. The freezing winds and chilling snow is in a way even more inhospitable than the burning city that made up Shirou's internal world. You were about to start looking around, but then you heard it. A low growl from behind you. Then another growl. Slowly around you, the silhouette of dozens of wolves made themselves known to you. If your experience with Shirou's conceptual world taught you anything, it's that these wolves weren't things you should take lightly.

I assume it is either recreation of that scene where Berserker saves Illya from wolves or we are near Einzbern castle in Austria and we have to find her room or something like that.

On the one hand Illya clearly cares about Shinji and his wellbeing and Shinji is one the few people she has emotional connection with who is not her family.
On the other Shinji in-character saw that she is fully emotionally overwhelmed right now and have no idea how to act with her whole world changing rapidly around her. I would guess getting her family back made her wanting to have a proper childhood which was denied to her before and she getting into more childlike behavior as her repressed emotions surface.
As >>4924922 said her concept of Anima should also empower True inner self and we do know that her actual age is 18 and she is pretty determined person if needs be. And would have looked her age if not for her scuffed and undeveloped body due to all modifications she went through to serve Acht`s goal better.

Just as the wolves pounce upon you, you release a great deal of your magical energy in order to blow them away, and the effect of the usage of Mana Burst is incredible. In an instant, the half dozen beasts that were moments from sinking their teeth into your skin had been blasted away, half of the beasts dying instantly upon being carried directly into the trunks of trees with enough force to instantly bisect them before they faded into wisps of shadow. You should've guessed that these beasts weren't normal animals considering that they were present within Illya's conceptual world.

Looking at the remaining wolves as they struggled back to their feet to pounce on you once again, you just shook your head. You weren't going to take any chances with these things, so instead you infused a Gandr shot with the concept of decay and then shot it at the largest of the remaining wolves, causing it to rapidly decay into shadows. It seems that for attacks, it was possible to imbue concepts into things multiple times, but only if the object that had been granted a concept disappeared without a trace as was the case for your Gandr shots.

The wolves didn't last long against your onslaught, one after the other you erased the wolves, causing their physical forms to decay with well-placed Gandr shots, until you were eventually left all along standing in the freezing blizzard once again. Glancing around to make sure you were alone and that there weren't any more of the wolves lurking about, you allowed some of the tension to leave you body, you still needed to hurry thanks to the cold, but you were no longer in a true life-or-death situation.

You looked around the forest for a while, the snow dusted floor obscured practically everything underneath it, but it didn't take you long to find what you were looking for after you burned away some of the snow with a fire rune drawn in the snow. All you were looking for was a simple average generic pebble, and you had found it. You didn't hang around though, and you quickly engraved a Berkano rune upon the pebble and imbued it with a magical command to point in the direction of Illyasviel von Einzbern.

The stone floated above your hand and spun around for a while before it settled on a direction, and when you knew where Illyasviel was, you raced off in her direction. You were expecting to find her in a clearing in the middle of the forest surrounded by wolves, but instead what greeted you when you were close to her location was a huge castle. The Einzbern Castle, undoubtedly, but... why would Illyasviel be inside it?

An explosion suddenly rocked your senses, and you looked to the side slightly in order to see that a massive hole had been opened up in the walls of the Einzbern Castle, and plumes of smoke were billowing out of the destroyed wall. This... isn't right, is it? What's going on here? How could this be Illyasviel's internal world?
>>
Your eyes opened wide as you saw what happened next, as a black shadow of speed started to race towards the white garbed guards that raced out of the breach to confront their attacker, wait a second... what's going on here?! There's no doubt in your mind, but... that's Kiritsugu! What's going on here?!

You decide in a flash that you should join Kiritsugu's assault, you can't just allow the man to fail again. If this really is a recreation of the past, or perhaps somehow the past itself, you don't want to allow him to fail again, even if you didn't go to help him the first time, you didn't want to repeat that mistake again. While you didn't have the power you needed to assist Kiritsugu the first time around, this time, things would be different.

And so, joining the black shadow as it charged towards the homunculi was a golden blur of speed, you rushed towards the guards with speed far surpassing even Kiritsugu's under the effect of Time Alter, and before anybody even realized you were present, you were at the breach. You had some time before Kiritsugu arrived, so you spent that time using your massively enhanced speed to knock the guards out in non-lethal fashions. Be it through striking vital points that would send them spiraling into unconsciousness or drawing Svefnthorn runes on their foreheads before they could properly respond to your presence, you soon dealt with all of the guards with little difficulty. Before Kiritsugu had even made it to the breach, even. Ten halberd wielding guards had fallen unconscious around you. For whatever reason, it seemed you had access to your full strength now too, even the cold of the blizzard wasn't effecting you anymore.

"Good evening, Kiritsugu." When the Magus Killer had made his way to you, you greeted him with a cheerful smile, and he froze.

"...Shinji? What are you doing here?"

"I've come to help you out, obviously. You should've waited for me, you know? I didn't save your ass so you could get another chance to throw away your life. You have a family that you need to care for." You remind the Magus Killer of his obligations, and he looks guilty. He knows that he shouldn't have just gone racing after Illyasviel at the detriment of basically everyone, but you can't hold it against him. He knows that he needs to save her, and your plan... well, you can see the problems in your plan for somebody like Kiritsugu. Still, it would've been nice if he brought his concerns up with you instead of just racing off to die in this border forest.

Kiritsugu doesn't say anything in response to your words, he knows that you're right, and isn't even going to attempt to argue with you about it. You wonder just whether this is the real Kiritsugu, or a highly accurate recreation of a conceptual world. It's strange, but you can't really tell, even the Eye of Truth seems to have limited effect on discerning things in these worlds suffused with Truth as they are.
>>
"All these homunculi are just as much victims as you, Irisviel and Illyasviel are, Kiritsugu. The difference is that unlike Irisviel and Illyasviel, they didn't have their own hero to show up and save them. They all have the capacity to function as true human beings, just like Irisviel did. They were just never taught how to do so by Acht." You reminded Kiritsugu of the cruelty of the golem, and he clenched his fist at the reminder of just what he had condoned for the sake of an impossible wish. "But their luck changes today. I'll be that hero. I won't just allow things to keep going as they are." You looked at the breach and prepared yourself for the next stage of the assault. "Now, follow me, I'm going to take care of things, and I don't care if you don't want to follow me." You told Kiritsugu in no uncertain terms. You didn't really want to talk to this particular version of the man, and it's clear that he didn't want to talk much either. A combination of guilt and shame, you suppose.

You race into the breach, and you notice Kiritsugu following you as you do, you have to slow your pace for the Magus Killer, but you do so anyway, it wouldn't be right if you did this all by yourself.

You manage to make it a far way into the castle until a voice echoes around you, and you immediately recognize it. "Magus Killer, I see you have brought assistance for your most recent rescue attempt." The voice was full of disdain, before it turned into a sinister chuckle. "I didn't want to use drastic measures to deal with you, but the two of you have shown yourself to be far too large a threat." The room suddenly began to shake, and you started to look around for the threat. "Go forth and crush them! Berserker!" Suddenly, the floor of the room exploded outwards, and a huge tanned man leapt forth. Oh. Shit.

Immediately, Berserker began to race towards you, and even with your speed, you had very little time to react!

So assuming its Herc, which Shinji should recognise and Acht has access to his stats under Ilya are:

STR: A+
END: A
Agility: A
Mana: A
Luck: B

+ God Hand, which nullifies anything below B rank, A rank Batcon and Valor at A+, coupled with Madness Enhancement, he can't be reasoned with or charmed/intimidated.

Additionally, he has EOTM False at B rank, so trickery will be detected by a spidey sense.

Shinji in contrast has:
Strength: E
Endurance: C (A)
Agility: C (A+)
Magical Energy: EX
Luck: EX
Noble Phantasm: EX

Shinji has Instinct to help him read the situation too, which should help him keep up with Herc in his maddened state somewhat in terms of skill. But Herc is still Shinji's superior in technical ability.

Shinji cannot even touch Herc without using Rhongobongo or the Sword as his STR is pathetically low and gets no sold by God Hand, making unarmed or martial arts used offensively completely pointless. RM is out of the question in case we're inside a conceptual world, that risks killing Ilya.

Blocking his attack with Truth means she just destroys kerry and then keeps belting the dome until Shinji runs out of mana. We could probably turtle with Truth shielding and zerg rush him with Enforcement Knights so Shinji's Instinct gets it's plus modifier, get a read on him properly with the Pure Eye. Probably best to just kill his master rather than trying to deal with Herc directly.

>Shinji cannot even touch Herc without using Rhongobongo or the Sword
I`d say we have few other options here:
1. Mana Burst
2. Gandr with concept of Pierce of Penetration instead of decay. You basically changed it from shrapnel to armor-piercing ammunition. One more opportunity to steal Freischütz.
3. Martial arts can be strengthened by Truth in a way we did to create our version of Kavacha and Kundala. Either an offensive force field or gloves. Something like Truth katar can be utilized with our martial arts too. Killing Arts, conceptual Death weapon and first strike bonus. We killed Touko`s impossible demon before just like that.
4. We can also infuse normal magecraft with Truth making it being able to hit above it`s level. Fire we used to kill Zolgen is prime example of that.
5. Offensive use of Truth barriers to created something close to Truth wires before him and allowing him to cut himself into ground meat with them.
6. Truth boosted Ansuz rune, just with right concept. Main issue that he will be on fire for the rest of the fight.
It is whatever or not you want to go in melee with him. It is probably bad idea and we don`t know how God Hand will interact with him being killed by Truth-based magecraft and attacks.
I like the idea of summoning Enforcement Knights to get him off us and Kiritsugu. And it is likely that Kiritsugu is priority target at least right now. Outright blasting with Rhon is probably the safest default option all things considered.

Another Big Brain JK Fox GF idea is to combine Berkano and Gandr + concept like Tracking/Homing and just blast Acht with guided rune shots.
>>
>>4929134
>Summon Rhongoknights and order them to fight Berserker
>Use mana burst liberally to hit him and avoid entering melee range with Heracles
>Try to use the Pure Eye to scan for Acht and blast him with Rhon
>Fight Heracles from afar. Use Decay and Penetration Gandr, blast him with Truth Lightning
>Trap him inside Truth barriers
>Melt his legs if necessary, he can grow them back
>Avoid killing him, he can be handed over to Illya later

>>4929296
I'd prefer to avoid killing Heracles if we can help it. Illya would very much like to have him after we're done. And going into melee with him is probably a bad idea. We are faster than him, but one solid hit can launch us through a wall, even if Truth Armor makes us take no damage. Kerry is probably dead by the time we get back.
>>
>>4929296
> Offensive use of Truth barriers to created something close to Truth wires before him and allowing him to cut himself into ground meat with them.
Can we try to chain him with the truth. It should be marginally easier than making truth barb wire
>>
>>4929318
Shuten was able to yank us when we tried using Truth chains on her. Heracles would probably be able to do the same.
>>
>>4929320
Ok. I have even dumber idea.
Remember that dead end when we suffocated ourselves in the room.
I know berserker isn't exactly square shaped and moving fast but could we just separate him from the rest of the world. Absolute barrier that will make him absolutely useless
>>
>>4929331
Anon, my current proposal has us trapping him inside barriers to win the fight if we can't find and blast Acht.
>>
>>4929333
Yeah, I can't read.
Hope barriers will stop mana flow to berserker
>>
>>4929334
We just need him contained until we find and kill Acht. Stopping mana flow is secondary, and probably even detrimental since we want to give him to Illya.
>>
>>4929331
>>4929333
>>4929334
Main problem with catching him a Truth hypercube is that he is very fast and pro-active fighter.
"Just barrier him" is a toss up. It will either come down to making him distracted with knights and magecraft and setting up group of barriers with each new one smaller than previous or stun him first. Something like Isa rune with concept of Freeze might do it.
>>
>>4929338
That is why I have us blasting him with all kinds of stuff before trying to trap him and melting his legs if necessary. What makes you think he'll let us get close and give us the chance to draw a rune on him without tearing our arm off our socket?
>>
>>4929340
I don`t recall Isa rune making a canon appearance so it might as well be ranged attack similar to Gandr but with freezing effect.
We were also warned against using two concepts on one thing so I am not sure it is wise to
>Fight Heracles from afar. Use Decay and Penetration Gandr
If you meant using both at the same time since it could backfire.
Funny mythological option is to him with anti-human fire to burn away mortal part and desummon him due to him becoming divine spirit. But we don`t know exact mechanics with which Acht got him so it could backfire too if something more in play here.
>>
>>4929347
>might as well be ranged attack similar to Gandr but with freezing effect.
In that case, we could use Truth Ice instead. I didn't do it because I don't think it'll be able to hold him. Truth Barrier is absolute.

>If you meant using both at the same time since it could backfire.
No. I meant to mix them up. We're firing more than one shot, they don't all have to be of the same kind.

>Funny mythological option is to him with anti-human fire to burn away mortal part and desummon him due to him becoming divine spirit.
Yes, there's a chance of it backfiring. And why do this to desummon him when we could just kill him instead? We want to have him here after the battle ends so we can give him to Illya, don't we?

Another problem with Truth Ice is that it is easier for Heracles to dodge. Lightning is pretty much instantaneous and therefore undodgeable.

You immediately launch yourself to the side in order to avoid Heracles' initial charge, rolling across the floor and turning to Kiritsugu for just a moment. "Get somewhere out of the way! I'll handle this!" You command the Magus Killer to get away from Heracles, knowing that he wouldn't last half a second if Heracles actually got close to him. You rolled out of the way of another smashing blow from Heracles, it was difficult to avoid his strikes even with your abilities. Heracles was just that powerful, that even with all of your speed and instinctual skill, it was difficult even for you to avoid being hit in close combat.

Heracles seemed to notice that Kiritsugu was attempting to leave, and began to make a beeline towards the man, but you were one step ahead of the rampaging Berserker, and before he reached Kiritsugu, you had drawn Rhongomyniad. You didn't actually intend to use the lance as a weapon however. No, there was another ability that you wanted to rely upon the legendary holy spear for, namely, the ability to summon Enforcement Knights!

Running your magical energy through the spear and wordlessly issuing a command to the spirit within the spear to summon as many knights as it could with the energy provided, you watched as six knights appeared in front of Berserker, colliding with the powerful Berserker before he could reach Kiritsugu. The six knights stalemating the Berserker and preventing him from pushing them back using strength alone. Each of the knights then used their swords to impale Berserker, and God Hand was no defense against the power of the knights, they shared their rank with Rhongomyniad itself, meaning that cutting through God Hand was very much possible for them.

Heracles roared in anger as he was impaled and his strength surged, his roar alone enough to force the knights to back away from him, each tearing their blades loose from his body, but then the powerful Berserker began his counter-attack, crushing the knight furthest to the left with his rocky blade and causing the destroyed armor to fade into golden particles of energy that returned to Rhongomyniad. The Enforcement Knights alone wouldn't last too long against Heracles, for as strong as they were, the greatest hero of Ancient Greece was far more powerful.
>>
Still, with the knights providing a distraction, you had the opportunity to look around the room for Acht with your pure eye, though the results were predictable. He was nowhere close to you. You looked at Heracles as he crushed a second of the Enforcement Knights, and then you got to thinking, while you could attempt to fight Heracles, it wouldn't exactly accomplish much. The one in command of Heracles right now is almost definitely Illyasviel, so all you really need to do is find Illyasviel and get her to call off the assault! With Heracles distracted by the remaining Enforcement Knights, you've got the perfect opportunity to slip away and look for either Acht or Illya! All you need to find is one of them, and you can put a stop to all of this!

>Empower the remaining ENFORCERCHADS with Madness Enhancement to help them stall Herc as long as possible, summon a few more to bolster their ranks too, including Rhon's RULERCHADs if you have the mana to spare, assuming Herc is killing the ME buffed Knights too quickly.
>Specifically summon a new EK without ME who would have taken on the role as a frontline scout/ranger/saboteur in life to follow after Kerry and protect him from anything else Acht has up his sleeve
>Leave the Knights to handle Herc for now and try and seek out Ilya in her room, try the basement if this fails.
>Use your Dragon Core and Manaburst to ZOOOOM through your searching efforts, and a combination of the Pure Eye and tracking runes to assist in finding Ilya.

Kerry would put down the target (Acht) before trying to rescue Ilya you'd imagine. So he probably went for Acht himself.

Fuck I love Enforcerchads. Wouldn't have expected them to have kept EX Mystery rank. Literal pocket army and this is before conceptual buffs, and they play well off Shinji's battlefield analysis fighting style while also being a good use of his massive mana reserves.

You needed as much time as these knights could buy you, and you knew just how you could ensure that Heracles was distracted for long enough that you'd be able to either get to Illya herself or deal with Acht... you imagined that Kerry had dealing with Acht handled, and you were the one who had to go and meet Illya so you could apply the concept and resolve this conceptual world or fake past or whatever this place was.

"Knights! Go wild!" You granted the remaining four knights Madness Enhancement and watched with satisfaction as their strength and speed suddenly increased greatly and they started avoiding and countering Heracles' attacks, but even with the enhanced abilities, they weren't enough, and Heracles' axe sword smashed through the body of one of the last four knights. You knew that they wouldn't last all by themselves, so you called upon just a little bit more of your magical energy and Rhongomyniad's power in order to summon three more Enforcement Knights, though these three were special, and had the class designation of Ruler. The natural defensive power of the Ruler Class should give you at least some time to try to find Illyasviel before Heracles' could catch up with you.

Finally, as you started to rush towards Illya's room, you summoned one final knight. An Archer class who once had the role of a ranger in life. "Go after Kiritsugu. Make sure that he's not done in by any of Acht's traps." You keep your order to the knight short and continue running through the halls, already having gained a few hundred meters from the battle between Heracles and the Knights. It wouldn't take you long to find Illya's room at this rate!

You rapidly ascended a few sets of stairs upon reaching them, finding yourself on the third floor of the large castle, but you kept running. Never stopping, you could feel that three of the knights had already been defeated since you ran from Heracles, but they were still holding him off for now, it seems.

With those remaining knights, you pushed on, finally making your way to Illya's room and basically kicking the door down as you did.

"Eep!" Illya was sitting on her bed and immediately two maids standing on the other side of the door tried to reach out to grab you, but you were far too quick for them, and you simply drew the Svefthorn rune on both of their foreheads. You don't think that these two maids were Sella or Leysritt, but you didn't want to kill any of the homunculi in the first place. "W-who are you?!" The little girl sitting on her bed seemed terrified of your sudden intrusion, and you looked at her.

Time for another Saver moment and inspirational speech.
If this conceptual world we got to do save Illya speech we never got in the beginning of quest. If this Tiamat`s situation then we will be able to inspire this Illya to do good and leave a strong impression on her to be best person she can.

>"I'm a friend of your father's."
>"We're here to save you."
>"Tell Berserker to stop fighting my knights."
>"Please come with me. I'll take you to Kiritsugu."
Just like when we concepted Tiamat, we have created a new lostbelt. We leave when we apply the concept, but we cannot leave yet. We need to explain things properly to them, warn them and our past self about Manaka, and tell them to hire Monica and save Sakura early just like we saved Illya early. We accidentally created this timeline, we have a responsibility to make it better.
>>
>>4933822
I fully trust in motivated and conceptually powered up Illya and our past self.
Every moment here wastes our time in our timeline and gives Manaka more time to prepare or make her move.
We still have a lot of things to do like meeting Tamamo, giving EMIYA power up and so on. If you want to see a stomp here just vote for it in Carnival.
>>
>>4933834
>I fully trust in motivated and conceptually powered up Illya and our past self.
There are a lot of things that could go wrong when changing the past. Manaka might decide to stop playing earlier, Gil might decide to just murder them all before they're read. Why take the chance?

>Every moment here wastes our time in our timeline and gives Manaka more time to prepare or make her move.
Either no time passes while we're here, or it's so massively accelerated as to make no difference. We will spend a few minutes to bring them up to speed, and lose MAYBE a few moments in our timeline.

>If you want to see a stomp here just vote for it in Carnival.
You may not care what happens to these people, but I do. Helping them deal with Manaka easier than we did, saving Sakura three years early, we can do these things at literally no cost to ourselves. Why are you so insistent on leaving things in this timeline up to chance when we can help them so easily?

If its really the past, then yeah +1 this.
If we are creating more timelines every time we concept some people, its our responsibility to at least explain some shit to then, tiamat's case was too early for any explanation to make sense, but this one probably will.

Yeah, I say we IMMEDIATELY try to figure out what's going on when we get back in the present, before we concept anyone else and risk splitting the timeline again. We need to talk to Rin and Touko as they are the experts, and we also need to talk to Alaya. The only reason she's been able to stalemate the other Alayas is because her timeline wasn't split and she retained all the power that would be spread over infinite parallel worlds. Tiamat's lostbelt was split before the earth was even created, so it changed nothing in that regard. But there is a (small) possibility Illya's lostbelt caused our Alaya to split and lose some of her power, which would mean we're very close to the point where the other Alayas will be able to just overpower her and destroy us all. We can't risk it without knowing more.

"I'm a friend of your father." You tell the girl with a completely straight face, before you smile at her. "We've come here to save you. You don't have to worry anymore, your father never abandoned you, Illyasviel. Now... could you please tell Berserker to stop fighting? I don't know what Acht told you was going on, but... you need to stop Berserker." You knew that the last of your knights had just been slain by Berserker already, and that he'd soon be on the trail for either you or Kiritsugu, so you really wanted to make sure that you weren't going to suddenly get crushed out of nowhere by the rampaging Heracles. "Now, please come with me, I'll take you to Kiritsugu."

"I... I don't know you! Stay away!" Illya immediately backed up against a wall, and you reached out a hand to stop her before pulling it back. Of course, Illya was little more than a child right now. For all she knows, you're a kidnapper who just killed her two maids.

"Look, Illya, I'm... not here to hurt you or anything. I'm here to save you. Kiritsugu has been trying to save you for so long, but... but this time he finally succeeded!"

The girl still didn't look convinced by your words, and you sighed. You were just lucky that she hadn't decided to call Berserker to the two of you with her command spells, otherwise you really wouldn't be able to survive. A command spell enhanced Berserker defending his Master would be something that you would be rapidly overwhelmed by, even with all your power. You'd eventually fall to Berserker if you weren't willing to kill the giant. You suppose that you could use Rhongomyniad to destroy the mad Servant, but all that killing Berserker would do is make you look less trustworthy to Illya.

"My father... my father abandoned me! He doesn't care about me! You're just here to sabotage the Einzbern!" You sighed, Illya really was able to be quite a fanatic, it seems, but you should've guessed she would've had a reaction like this. She doesn't know you, and just saying that you were going to save her without any real proof of your intent was always going to fail to convince her, even the promise of her father's presence is something that sounds too good to be true.

You were going to need to think of a way to convince Illya, but... how?

>Screw it, just grab her and apply a concept to her.

>Say something to convince Illya of your good motives. (What?)

She was around 13 at the time, not an unreasonable age. She should be more logical than most children. Especially for a magus. Her reaction is expected. However, I still believe we can reason with her. It would feel shit just to grab her. Also, It is not like we can pull something out of our pants to convince her, right?

If there is time for lengthy monologue, and if she listens.

>Distract her from from freaking out.
>Once she's more stable point out that you used non-lethal methods so far, drop some metaknowledge about her family, saw the seed of doubt about what she was told.
>Show her that Acht if full of shit.
>If something goes awry go for A+ AGL loligrab.

(Appeal to emotion)
You visibly frown at her "Illyasviel von Einzbern" you make your tone of voice as authoritative as possible. "If I meant ANY harm to you then I would have already acted on it"

(Appeal to logic)
You sight again as a transition the tone of voice to softer one when you got her attention.
"Listen, in this intrusion so far none of the Einzbern homunculi were killed. Not a single one. (She should know it to be true through the homunculi link, I guess) Even Berserker was merely stalled, normally an unstoppable force for any magus. Yet, here I stand. I passed through everything Einzberns had without killing anyone. Do you really believe someone as powerful as me would even need to reason with you? I could just knock you out before you could even see me. Why didn't I? Well, maybe because I didn't come here to saw the seeds of grief.

(Appeal to emotions and credibility)

Besides, do you really believe everything that Acht told you? Have you ever wondered if there is anything more than what he tells you, maybe another version of truth? Are you really fine with taking this Golem's words at face value. You out of all people should know just how cold and unfeeling Acht is. He simply discards sentient beings like mere objects, freely labeling them as failures left and right. I wouldn't trust such a person.

In contrast your father is a noble man that cares deeply about humans. That includes Homunculi. Quick example. Do you know that Acht sent your mother into the depths of Einzbern's forest just to show her worth shortly after she was born, and it was Kiritsugu, your father, who wet to save her? It was him, the man who gifted your mother emotions, something that Acht considers a defect. If not for your father's compassion you wouldn't even be here. If that left you wondering just why such a man, supposedly, left you, here is another version of truth for you. Kiritsugu never did leave you, all this years he was trying to reunite with you. Even while bearing the crippling curse from the last war he attempted to rescue you. However, there only as much a s single magus can do, and I am sure he would die trying if not for me. If you really want to hear the truth from the man himself then take my hand. (APPLY)

I propose the >skip option that gives Ilya a full info dump while trying to get the plot going. Especially seeing as we have the timer with Herkek about to turn Kerry into floor paste which will cause Ilya pretty severe PTSD if our talk no jutsu actually worked but not until after herc was done BONKing.

>Using your SPEED quickly sign a rune spell of memory transfer, providing Ilya with a view through your memories of everything required for her to understand the Truth of the situation at hand.
>If required, put her to sleep with Sventhorn first to avoid her calling Herkek into the room to smear you
>Apply the concept

Using a combination of gebo + dagaz + othala + laguz Shinji can easily fashion a memory bestowment/link spell to Ilya. And TMcanon has the following rune spells already, which aren't a far stretch:

>A Rune that can erase memories, limitations of its use are the same as Memory Manipulation Magecraft limitations. Bazett inscribes it using a special talon and can do it so efficiently that use in the middle of combat is possible. A similar rune exists in one of Alice Kuonji's books in her library.

These only use one Rune because they're less precise, a combination of the 4 should enable a softer hand and avoid issues.

Seeing as the last update mentioned ALL of the Enforcerchads are now dead, odds are he went for Kerry as we sent one to tail him.

>I'll remember all this for what NOT to do as a QM when I ever run my own quest
I can only retell Niggerman`s points about why it is a thing but you have already read them I imagine.
If you were, for example, to start an original Fate quest with basic Grail War premise it is unlikely to ever get to this point as there won`t be any tactical, strategic needs or means to go this far as we do. One extra way to enable both effect of smart decision making to make players base feel good and limit the amount of creative input would be to format default option in vague enough form thus allowing for precise manipulation of story development and incorporating of investments theoretical players would put into quest.
>>
>>4936415
Yeah okay, my quest won't be isekai and won't be based on any preexisting setting, which handles the root problems associated with this method of playing this quest.

However, regarding our current situation, knocking out Illya or just rendering her unconscious should give us enough time to apply our concept.

Indeed, the memory transfer works, could be a more peaceful alternative.

Instead of trying to explain things to Illya further, you just sigh. Of course she wouldn't be able to understand just from your words. For all of your charisma, at the end of the day, you weren't charismatic enough to convince a stranger who's house you were breaking into that you were actually there for a good reason. At least not after knocking out two of her guards like you just did, and especially not on a girl as flighty and slow to trust as Illyasviel was. She already has issues with trusting others, and continuing to try to convince her with your words alone wasn't going to do anything other than waste enough time until Berserker arrived and turned you into a smear on the floor.

So with that in mind, you dashed forwards with your extreme speed until you were right in front of the girl, and before her eyes even had the chance to widen, you were drawing a rune on her forehead in ink. Or rather, you were drawing a small sequence of runes on her head before you finished things off by drawing a rune on your own forehead, in truth, you'd never actually used runes in order to help facilitate a memory transfer between yourself and somebody else before. You'd usually have somebody else to act as the mediator to the transfer of memories so that too many weren't transferred and there was no chance for something to go wrong, but... well, you didn't have the time to worry about something like that right now, so as dangerous as it was, you were taking the risk. Finally, to actually begin the transfer, you touched her forehead.

"What are you doi-!?" Illya tried to ask you a question before the memory transfer truly began, and she froze in place, her eyes wide as she was forced to experience enough of your memories to understand that not only were you a friend of hers, but just what exactly you were doing in this world, and why she should trust you. After only about ten seconds of the transfer, she broke away from your touch, and looked up at you with eyes that while still confused, had a tinge of understanding within them. "Then... you... you really are here to?" She shook her head. "Berserker!" You tensed up, waiting for her next words. "Stop listening to Grandfather! Stop attacking!" You let out a sigh of relief.

"So... do you believe me now?" You ask the girl with a careful smile, and she just slumped onto her bed.

"I don't see how I couldn't, after you showed me all that." The girl looked almost... close to tears? You weren't sure if they were tears of happiness or tears of sorrow, but you knew from her tears that she'd no longer attempt to have Berserker slay you for the crime of touching her. Unlike the transference of your memories to her, she wouldn't be too mentally overwhelmed to respond to a concept application, after all.
>>
You slowly reached out to grab the girl's hand, and she made no attempt to move her hand away from yours when you did. Her hand gripped tightly around your own, and you started to finally imbue Illyasviel with the concept you had come here to grant her. The concept of 'Anima'. You quickly spoke a few lines of your aria under your breath as you began the conceptual application, not enough to destabilize the world, but enough to make it easier to wield truth.

Illyasviel seemed to begin to glow slightly as you continued to imbue her with the concept of Anima, and her hand started to grip your ever more tightly, until finally, the application was done. Illyasviel stared into your eyes, her crimson eyes almost... sad, as you started to feel your spirit be pulled away from this internal world, and everything turned white.

[Status Updated!]

You gasped in exertion as you found yourself back in the real world, having collapsed on the floor next to Illyasviel for some reason. You were about to ask Illyasviel how she felt, before a great crashing sound from outside caused you to lose your focus and race over to the window along with everyone else.

What you saw was... terrifying. It was like half of Fuyuki had been uprooted and was being folded down upon your house! The entire city was about to collapse on you and your house! What the hell!? You had only seconds to react to the collapse before you and everyone else would be crushed!

>Try to shield everyone with a bubble of truth.

Finally, it has begun. And Manaka is starting with cool move? Nice.

>The Third True Magic: EX
>The Third True Magic, gained through the application of the concept of Anima, details on the Third True Magic's capabilities are unclear.
>Truth of Self: EX
>A skill that has been gained from the application of the concept of 'Anima'. By calling upon this skill, Illyasviel can take on a form that is more in line with her 'true self', in addition to being a materialization of her soul itself. By using this skill, Illyasviel has access to a limitless amount of magical energy and an absolutely immortal body. Though this particular ability is also a function of the Third True Magic.
>This skill can also be used on others in order to make them take on their 'true form', stripping away all impurities and leaving their soul unblemished and in doing so leaving the target with the mind of a newborn, effectively freeing them of sin through complete destruction of the ego.
>Manifestation Animism: EX
>This skill grants Illyasviel the ability to not only manifest the soul, but also that which has a soul. A level of creation on the level of the highest class of mystery, anything that Illyasviel wishes can be created, so long as it has a soul. This ability also allows for the creation of true Nature Spirits through the materialization of the souls of the environment.
Interesting stuff. Illya`s character sheet looks really fancy right now.
I hope we get a chance to see it in action.

I wonder if that would work on manaka.
Also, sucks that we didnt had time to make the underworld.
>>
>>4938656
Using this on Manaka might have interesting consequences since she stole and integrated within her not only our powers but powers of Outer Gods as well. And with her being born with natural Root connection this might have unforeseen outcome.

Agreed, she did try to remove it as an option before pulling this. Already see myself changing vote once I hear a bit more discussion from others, not fully satisfied with any option available and prefer not to flip 4-5x a vote.

Setting aside I'd like to take a shot at what's going on with these concept world alternate timelines, normally when we concept its a 'room' where we find the symbolic core of their world. This is the third time now where it was presented as a separate world with a recreation of past events; Medusa's transformation into Gorgon and killing her sisters, Tiamat being usurped and killed by her children, Ilya being used by Acht to foil Kerry's attempt to rescue her. In each of these cases they had some underlying trauma that couldn't really be resolved without directly changing past events.
I admit even if could word better I'm very likely off base but that's my current take away.
>>
>>4938807
Yeah, shame that we seem to be out of time.
If teleport is too dangerous i wonder if gilgamesh have someone to stop the discount meteor.
Or we can just try to blow it up with the spear and also have the rest also try to nuke it.

>Have Shirou project Akhilleus Kosmos
>quickly warn everyone to protect themselves and those around them from the encroaching impact through tamamaphone
>order the puppetchad to seek out and protect Tamamo no Mae
>grab Shirou and Artoria and using Shinji and Artoria's Mana Burst, launch into the air towards the collapsing city, having him activate Akhilleus Kosmos to push the city back

Mastery means he can put raw anus in the bin for the significantly more Kino Trojan war shield.

>Akhilleus Kosmos: The Miniature World Enclosed by the Azure Sky (蒼天囲みし小世界アキレウス・コスモス, Sōten Kakomishi Shō SekaiAkireusu Kosumosu?) is the shield of Achilles, a Divine Construct forged by the Greek smithing god Hephaestus.[2] It is a defensive type, Bounded Field Noble Phantasm comparable to Rho Aias, said to be able to stand against nearly any attack by deploying a miniature world.[2][1]

>It is said that "to oppose this shield is the same as making the world your opponent", allowing it to protect against Anti-Unit, Anti-Army, Anti-Divine, Anti-Fortress and Anti-Country Noble Phantasms[2][1][3]. Something that Hephaestus likely never devised, the shield can be used to "attack", Achilles aiming to crush the opponent with the miniature world by continuously pushing forward after its deployment.[2]

>It is a Noble Phantasm that does not require great skill or power to activate, but the borrower cannot use Achilles' method of attack with the shield.[2]

Cheap as fuck for Shirou to use after he spends the mana on the projection, and Mastery lets him replicate Achilles' technique. We can fall back on a Truth barrier to protect the two of us as well, although Shirou and Artoria have their own Avalon copies. Artoria's Instinct will also help timing Mana Burst.

>Use tamamophone to tell Sakura to cover the mansion in a dome of ribbons.
>warn everyone to protect themselves and those around them from the encroaching impact
>order the puppetchad to seek out and protect Tamamo no Mae

None of the defaults can protect everyone. Sakura's dome was strong enough to tank anything but a full rhonblast, and the city is not nearly as strong an attack. Hitting an entire city with a shield, no matter how strong, can't possibly be a good idea.

Caer Sidi is solid idea but sadly out of our reach.
>Fortress of Oni: Ōe: A-rank Fortress Noble Phantasm.
>Upon being invoked, this Noble Phantasm magically transforms the building it is activated within into a fortress of Oni-construction. While the exterior of the building isn't affected, the interior will become the sort of setting Berserker is most comfortable with. Access to this fortress is impossible to outsiders unless one with the blood of the Oni allows intruders inside. In addition, within the bounds of Ōe, Oni and those with Oni-blood will fall under the command of Berserker and will both acquire Madness Enhancement at her level and have their demon blood strengthened, the only exceptions to this rule are those with complete control over their Oni instincts, powerful protection against mind alteration or by being Berserker's own Master.
Ibaraki is interesting option but we don`t have time for it and I would not risk it without giving her concept. Have some solid ideas if chance arises though. Probably better to give her and Shuten closely matching concepts too.

[Labyrinthine Dreaming]

Sakura smiled happily as she walked through the serene forest of her dream. She didn't know why she had such autonomy within her dream, but she wasn't going to complain about it. This was a world of her own creation, one where all of her dreams came true. It was a selfish dream of a monopolized love, but... it was only a dream. She didn't allow herself to forget that. No matter how realistic this dream might've felt, it wasn't real.

She kept walking through the forest, arm looped around a basket full of wild berries and fruits she had managed to gather from the forest, and eventually she was outside of the quiet forest, standing in a large meadow of flowers. In the distance was the small cottage in which she lived with her family. She had always preferred the idea of a small house, and while her husband had grumbled about how there wasn't enough space in such a small area, it was clear that he too enjoyed being able to live a quiet life unburdened by the outside world, something that simply wasn't possible if you lived in a large home like the mansion that they once lived in... of course, in the context of this dream, that mansion was something that they hadn't lived in for years.

A gentle breeze blew past her, causing the flowers to shift silently in the cool summer breeze. Outside the cottage was a large blossoming cherry tree, and she smiled widely as she approached her house. She didn't know how exactly it worked, but somehow, she had been in this world of her dream for what felt like a week, yet she somehow knew that time functioned differently here. She wasn't sure how she knew that though.

She approached the door of the cottage and opened it with a smile on her face, expecting to be greeted by the smiling faces of her husband and her three children. "Tadaima!" She happily announced her arrival, yet there was a dead silence. The house was empty and dark. A terrible shadow had manifested in the center of the dining room of the cottage, and Sakura took a step backwards in alarm at the appearance of the being. Coated in shadows and ephemeral was the figure. A hood concealed their face, and Sakura immediately knew that this being was a threat to her. In fact, it became clear in the instant that she saw this figure that it was the one behind this dream world.
>>
"Good afternoon, Sakura. Enjoying yourself?" The hooded figure asked, and Sakura looked around for a weapon to defend herself. She had found herself stripped of her powers in this dream world, and originally thought nothing of it. Originally she had just believed that she couldn't access her powers because she had no use for them in such a world, but... this dream was quickly becoming a nightmare. She eyed a kitchen knife for a few seconds before running towards it and grabbing it, brandishing it at the hooded figure, who just tilted their head. "Oh don't be ridiculous." The knife she was pointing at the figure suddenly turned an inky black before it lost all physical form, splashing down onto the floor and staining the floorboards. "If I was here to kill you, Sakura, you'd already be dead. You can't defeat me, even with all that power your beloved Onii-chan has granted you. To me, you're still as weak as the girl who was tossed to the crest worms." The hooded figure suddenly flicked her hood down, and Sakura grimaced. There was really only one person who it could've been, but Sakura was holding out hope that it wasn't her. Manaka Sajyou, her brother's most dangerous enemy, and a threat to all of existence.

"What do you want, Manaka?" Sakura kept her voice steady as she stared at the girl still cloaked in inky darkness. She was at a tremendous disadvantage here, it should've been absolutely impossible for her powers to be stripped away, but it seems that 'Truth' had been overwritten by another. That was the level of power wielded by the girl in front of her.

"I wanted to make you an offer, of course! Do you really think I'd waste all this time setting up this world and so many others for the rest if I was just going to kill you?" Sakura felt a shiver going down her spine as Manaka casually revealed that the world really was her doing. "I wanted to offer you the opportunity to make this world reality, Sakura. Wouldn't you like that? To be the only one given attention by your beloved Onii-chan?" The girl gave her a charming smile. "You probably already knew this, but Shinji is... well, he's special. He's someone that exists as a singular being. There's only one of him across every facet of existence." She then frowns. "Of course, there are 'others', but those others didn't have the same thing happen to them ten years ago that led to Shinji becoming the man he is today, and thus his replication is... an impossibility to any with power inferior to the originator of that event." Manaka stared out of the window of the cottage.

"W-what happened ten years ago?" Sakura wanted to know what Manaka was talking about, while she felt like it was something that she should ask Shinji personally, there was a part of her that knew that it would bring him great pain to reveal the Truth.
>>
"Divine Inspiration." Manaka said, her voice solemn instead of smug. "The first act truly taken by 'God' for centuries. The Dawn of a new Messiah, the chosen savior of reality from the threats that plague it." Sakura didn't quite understand, if that was all that had happened, then why would Shinji have never revealed it to her?

"Threats like you?" Sakura decided to ignore that particular point for now, and instead focused on the hypocrisy of the girl speaking instead.

"I don't want to destroy reality, Sakura. That wouldn't serve any purpose to me. I simply learned the Truth of things." She kept staring out of the window before sighing. "Don't you understand? The Divine Inspiration Shinji received from God... it was one that fused with the original being to create somebody wholly new, it wasn't simply information that Shinji was granted all those years ago. It was a personality and a set of memories pertaining to our world. A personality with a set of infallible memories from a world beyond this one." Sakura didn't really care about the specifics of why Shinji was the way he was, nor did she really care about what Manaka wanted, but in this situation she could only hope that if she kept the egomaniac talking, she'd find a way out of this situation. "I'm offering you a chance of true happiness. I can make your dream come true, all I'm asking for is your cooperation."

"...Are you kidding?" Sakura finally gave her answer to the blonde girl, who frowned immediately. "You're asking me to betray everyone I know and love just for the chance to make a lie real? You couldn't really believe that I was going to be swayed by this, could you?" If she was going to be given a choice between a life of betrayal and a death where she stayed true to herself, then she'd choose death. She couldn't bring herself to betray everyone, no matter how convincing that Manaka had tried to make her argument, she wouldn't be swayed.

"If only you understood, Sakura. All I offered you was the chance to replace a lie with a more convenient lie, but... I can see that it was pointless trying to convince you like this. Let's try something else." She snapped her fingers and the cottage dissolved into the same inky substance that her knife turned into, though the ink continued to dissolve into nothingness until they were standing in the meadow of flowers once more. "If I can't convince you, then I suppose I'll just have to... make you understand." Huge crevices began to open up as the world itself began to dissolve. Sakura tried to keep her footing, but it was only so long until a rift opened up underneath her and she found herself falling.

Falling.

Falling.

Falling.

She hit the ground.

The cold embrace of stone.
>>
She looked around cautiously, wary of what she might find in this place, only to find that she was in... a a long stone corridor, with countless doorways leading to other areas. Manaka was nowhere in sight, and she could feel that her powers had returned to her. Was this still a dream? Or was Manaka trying something different? She didn't know. She tried to focus on the sticker that was created for the sake of allowing mass communication, only to find her hand bare. She tried to call out to Rider, only to find the connection blocked. She was alone. But she refused to be afraid. She didn't know what this place was, but she was determined to escape from it.

[Interlude End]
>>
"Shirou! Use Akhilleus Kosmos to defend everyone, now!" You barked a command at the boy who started to trace the shield as quickly as he was able to. You then touched the sticker on the back of your hand, both shouting the command out in person as well as mentally through the link. "Everyone! Protect yourselves and those around you!" You finally turned towards the puppet. "Go find Tamamo-no-Mae and protect her with everything you have!" The puppet responded to your command, but you had no time to worry about that as you grabbed Shirou. "Arturia, I need you to help me out here, together, we're going to use our combined Mana Bursts to launch ourselves and Shirou into the sky. We'll use the miniature world conjured by Akhilleus Kosmos to repel the collapse." It was all you could do. The casualties would be enormous, but there was simply no solution to this that would enable there not to be. The people in that half of Fuyuki were as good as dead, but there was no sense thinking about that now!

"Right!" Arturia grabbed Shirou with you just as the boy finished tracing the shield which he aimed towards the ceiling in time for the three of you to be propelled upwards with ludicrous speed as a tremendous amount of magical energy was used.

"Akhilleus Kosmos!" Shirou yelled out the name of the shield and for a moment a great green barrier of protective light appeared, forming an entire miniature world to defend against the folding city. For a scant few seconds, it appeared as if it was working, as the city was stopped in its tracks, though it didn't last. You couldn't believe your eyes as instead of being stopped by the ridiculously powerful defensive Noble Phantasm, the miniature world of Akhilleus Kosmos actually began to fold along with Fuyuki. "N-no way!" Shirou voiced his disbelief just in time for the defense to fail completely and for the collapsing city to snap shut upon you and your home as if it were a book being closed.

You felt yourself falling.

Falling.

Falling.

Falling.

You reached out to grab something to stop your descent, but you found only more void in the darkness.

Eventually, you hit a soft grassy floor. Next to you were Arturia and Shirou, unconscious. You quickly checked the two of them to discern whether they were still alive, and soon found that they were both breathing at least. The surroundings were... strange. The sun was shining in the sky and you were standing atop a grassy hill overlooking a castle as well as a dense forest. Where the hell were you?

A beautiful dream, and a textbook temptation by Manaka. But of course Sakura wouldn't be so easily swayed by just a beautiful dream. She is far, far stronger than that.

And we learned things: Manaka needs the cooperation of our loved ones, friends and allies for some reason. She is offering them their dreams instead of just paging them. And they appear to be entirely in her mercy inside these dreams, stripped of all powers. Concepts or even carrying the children of Truth weren't enough of a protection, unless Manaka lied to Sakura that she could easily kill her if she wanted. I don't think that was a lie though.

I wonder who will choose to accept Manaka's offer.

First things first, you use your Pure Eye on the two of them, just making sure that neither of them were suffering from anything that kept them unconscious while you woke up. Though you suppose a lot of it might have to do with your own innate abilities, it was concerning that Saber had yet to wake up... of course, the two of them were fine... at least that was what it appeared like to you. You couldn't see anything wrong with either Saber or Shirou, they were just unconscious. It was a great relief to you to have such information, but that only led you to begin wondering where this place even was once again. You doubted you'd get your answers, and the Pure Eye wasn't exactly being helpful at all for identifying the place either, for whatever reason, it seemed like they just weren't able to identify this world. It was concerning, but... really it was no more concerning than waking up in this world in the first place.

With Saber and Shirou confirmed to be OK, you didn't hesitate to trace a rune on both of their foreheads, a Dagaz rune, specifically. By calling upon the aspect of dawn and awakening within the rune, and running some of your magical energy through the drawing, you forced the married couple-to-be to wake up. Saber was forced, gasping for air and springing to her feet, invisible blade drawn and looking for an unseen opponent before noticing you. "Ah, I am sorry. I... wasn't expecting to be awoken in such a forceful manner. I was having a nightmare, but... I cannot remember the details."

Shirou groans as he gets to his feet. "A nightmare, huh? Same for me. I can't remember anything that happened within it either too." Saber alone having a nightmare would've been a cause for concern, but both Saber and Shirou having nightmares with neither of them able to recall any of the details? That was more than just a little strange, and it couldn't be a coincidence. It was likely that somebody was attempting to reach them through their dreams, and that could only mean one person. Manaka. This was clearly all her doing. What was terrifying however was that short of simply waking up your allies by force, there wasn't really much you could do to stop Manaka from taking such actions.

"That's... worrying." You weren't going to lie, it was better to be honest about things that caused you to worry, and this was no exception. "Saber, I want you to rely on your instincts as a king. Do you have any suggestions about where we should go next?" Saber proceeded to almost fall over as she looked at her surroundings, and it was only thanks to being caught by Shirou that she didn't fall totally.
>>
"This is... no that can't be possible! We can't be here!" ...huh? You looked at the castle of white brick once again, it was surrounded by a town, but it didn't really look altogether that impressive as a town. Though you were really kind of weighing that summation against Rhongomyniad's city, which was always going to be a step above anything else that you might end up seeing... speaking of whom, Rhongomyniad had been quiet as of late, and you didn't know why. You'd have thought she'd have said something to you when you found yourself here. "This... this is Camelot." Oh. Oh dear, that's... really not good. Or at least you didn't think it was. With Arturia here, wouldn't you just be able to have her ride into the castle and have everyone kneel to their king?

>"If this is Camelot, then what are you waiting for? Let's go to the Castle!"
>"Wait a second, something about this is wrong. We should sneak into the Castle."
>"I don't want to go to that Castle at all. Saber, your instincts, what are they telling you?"

"Saber, your instincts, what are they telling you?" You decide it would be best to ask the woman who has supernaturally refined instincts in addition to actual knowledge of your surroundings. "I'm... a little concerned about the castle. If we are to travel there, I believe that we should go unseen. Are you and Shirou able to hide together under your Mantle of Invisibility while I borrow the Stone and Ring of Eluned?" Both of the items contained powerful enchantments upon them that allowed the wearer to become invisible to the naked eye. The cloak simply concealed whatever was hidden underneath it, while the stone and ring turned the ring's wearer invisible if they concealed the stone within their hand. You were incredibly wary of just strolling into the castle and expecting a royal welcome. Somehow you believed that was just a little bit too naive to believe would occur. You didn't know what was going on, but this was clearly Manaka's work, and you somehow doubt she'd have given you such a boon.

"Very well, give me a moment to produce those items. Though I do believe we should visit Camelot Castle first, you are right to be wary. This place feels familiar... but different. I'm sure you've noticed it too, but the mystery here is... strong. Stronger even than when I was alive. Something must have happened to reverse the decline of mystery, so we should be on our guards." Saber was clearly just a little worried by things, and you couldn't blame her for feeling that way. After all, this was her kingdom, and if she noticed something different like a reversal of the loss of mystery, it was all too easy for her to assume the worst. Because indeed, with Manaka involved, the worst was very much likely to be the outcome to be expected. The girl had quickly become your most frustrating foe. Though it could be worse, you supposed. If the folding of Fuyuki was an actual attack and not just some odd magical ability, you'd all be dead right now.

While Saber was busy creating the items, you drew forth Rhongomyniad, staring at the spear with concern. It was odd that she hadn't spoken with you in a while, so you decided to try to send a message to her through the lance. 'Rhon, are you there? Can you hear me?' You tried to communicate with the spirit within the spear, and after a few seconds of silence, you received your response.
>>
'I... am, sorry... but I've... my mind has been clouded, I was incapable of reaching out to you myself. Though now that I have your voice to focus on, the mental fog is receding.' Rhon revealed that something had been blocking her own attempts to contact you, but whatever it was was incapable of preventing the opposite. You'd need to be wary of such things from happening here. There were clearly powerful forces at work here as a result of Manaka, and you knew that taking chances and growing complacent would be tremendously risky. You then tried to reach out to the rest of your Servants through your Command Spells... there was no response. There was no response from the sticker either, and you started to grow more worried. It appeared that you had been cut off completely from your allies... with the exception of Shirou and Saber here. Even your mental communication with Rhongomyniad had been hindered.

'OK, just... tell me if you feel the fog starting to come back, I need you to remain able to communicate with me, Rhon, just in case.' You knew that Manaka was already capable of destroying Rhongomyniad at the peak of her power with nothing but a simple gesture, so you were apprehensive about just what else the girl might be capable of doing to her, even after your application of a concept to her.

'Understood, my wielder.' The spear was quick to agree, and you turned to look at Saber, who had a look of intense concentration on her face as she finished creating the items you had requested of her.

"That was... more difficult than it was to do previously... could it have something to do with where we are?" Saber had clearly struggled to summon the items, and though she had succeeded, it clearly took quite an effort on her part. "It was almost as if something about this place was suppressing my newfound abilities, though I managed to work through it." More and more reasons to worry, but it looked like the power of your Truth wasn't about to cede to this world, even if it took Saber more effort.

"Perhaps, but... we'll have more luck finding out just what's going on if we approach the castle, I think." Saber passes you the ring and stone, which you put on without hesitation. The castle was a few hours walk away from here, though that was only if you were planning on walking the distance, which was pointless when both you and Saber were fast enough that you could get to the place in about a minute through relying on your abilities.
>>
With Shirou being carried in Saber's arms so the two of them were concealed by her mantle and with you holding the Stone of Eluned to conceal yourself, you soon arrived at the main gate to the Castle, unfortunately though, there were two armed guards standing at both side of the gate, which itself was locked. Though there was something about the two guards that made you clench your teeth together. The symbol adorning the platemail of the two spear wielding guards was identical to the one on the center of Mordred's own Chest Plate... it couldn't be that... You didn't know if Saber had realized it or not yet, but you knew she was close by.

>Use the Pure Eye to find Artoria. Check the wall for traps or magical alarms while you're at it.
>Inscribe Saber, Shirou and yourself with runes that allow mental communication. Quietly warn her beforehand.
>Mentally inform them of your plan so you're not overheard.
>Jump over the walls.

>ANSUZ represents an Estuary. It symbolizes the Mouth, Communication, Understanding, Inspiration.
>GEBO represents a Gift. It symbolizes Balance, Exchange, Partnership, Generosity, Relationships.

Gebo was part of the spell we used to give our memories to Illya, and Ansuz represents communication. A combination of these two should allow us to create a mental communication spell with Artoria and Shirou. Just talking is much simpler than a full memorydump, so it shouldn't need four runes like that spell. Servant stats means we can easily make the jump, and Artoria can do it even easier than us.

Higher Mystery and Mordred's crest means we can rule out Merlin. I still don't believe Mordred would accept Manaka's offer. This is almost certainly Morgan's dream, one where her scheme succeeded and Mordred is ruling Camelot with Morgan as her Advisor.

You run some magical energy through your Pure Eye, and immediately are able to see Shirou and Saber clearly despite the powerful magic that conceals them, you also take a look at the wall to ensure that it was safe to climb, there were no obvious indications of anything being wrong with the walls, so that was something, at least. You wander towards the two of them silently, careful not to alert the guards at the gate of anything. Even if you could easily dispatch both, there was no point in doing something like that, it raised the problem of somebody seeing and raising the alarm, or the two guards getting found or found to be absent by another patrol, which would undoubtedly put the whole city on high alert and make things that much more difficult for you.

Shuffling over to the two of them, you tug the mantle slightly in order to get Saber's attention, walking towards a small group of shrubs and trees near the castle walls, the trees weren't that great for cover, but they were still enough for a short moment, and would likely be cut down immediately if the city were expecting a siege of some variety.

When all of you were hidden in the sparse foliage, and you were certain nobody would hear, you spoke softly. "OK, Arturia, Shirou. I'm going to inscribe the three of us with runes that should allow for short range mental communication. It won't be as effective as Tamamo's stickers, but it should be able to function for our purposes, so long as nobody strays more than a few hundred meters away. I'd say... about five hundred meters is the limit." It was a guess, but you were certain in your accuracy to at least the nearest fifty meters for the rune spell. The only problem was if the strange surroundings would be able to throw the runes off.

Saber just nodded, so you got to work drawing the Ansuz and the Gebo rune upon the backs of their hands before you drew the runes on the back of your hand as well. 'You can hear me, right?' You tested out the rune first to make sure that it was functioning properly.

'Right, I can hear you, Shinji.' Saber's response was quick, and you smiled.

'Alright, hide yourself again, we're going to jump over the walls without touching them at all. I don't trust them not to have some sort of security measure in the form of magic that would detect us climbing it directly.' You didn't know just who to expect in the castle town itself... the symbol on the armor of the knights would suggest Mordred... but that was impossible.
>>
After a quick leap, all three of you were over the wall, nobody noticed your infiltration into the city either. 'There are a few places that I think we ought to go before heading to the throne room.' Saber began to speak. 'The first is the Round Table itself, we may be able to find a few knights there and find out what's going on if any of them are there... or we could check Merlin's Tower... if he's around, he'd be a good ally to have... and finally, the armory of Camelot. I should be able to use my abilities to take all of the equipment within it for myself if we go there first.' Saber had given you a few ideas, and you started thinking just what the best option would be.

>Head to the Round Table first, Saber is right, if there are any Knights she knows there, they should loyally serve her.
>Head to Merlin's tower. He's shown himself to be at least trustworthy enough to seek out his aid here. Even if the Merlin is likely a different one to the Merlin you know.

>Head to the Round Table first, Saber is right, if there are any Knights she knows there, they should loyally serve her.

Questionable, we saw she had a lot of trouble producing items, Round Table tier Knights might not kneel so easily as Arthuriana buffed Artoria might have otherwise had. Not the worst idea though, as they can offer a big infodump of storyline lore regarding this iteration of Camelot, and even Artoria failed to secure complete loyalty from the entire Round Table so some could be swayed from Mordred/Morgan or whoever else is on the throne. Maybe even Uther or Vortigern?

>Head to Merlin's tower. He's shown himself to be at least trustworthy enough to seek out his aid here. Even if the Merlin is likely a different one to the Merlin you know.

Merlin was such an absolute cunt to deal with earlier, and with LB6 lore and that one valentine's scene he's warned he could easily become a Beast, especially if this is a Camelot with no Artoria on the throne like LB6 is. Artoria was the only tether he had to people, his guilt towards her kept him trapped in Avalon too. Without her around he's unchained.

>Head to the Armory. Saber had a good plan when it came to ridding the forces of Camelot of whatever weaponry is held within.

Equipment is probably easier to acquire than people, and there was some difficulty with Artoria creating items. However Shirou and Artoria are still able to create them, just with some difficulty. Dead end or worse lmao. Going in unprepared with no extra gear and no idea of the setting is dumb, it also outright ignores Artoria's Instincts.

Maybe we split up? Remember Shinji has no in character knowledge of LB6, Fairy Knights aren't something known to him, the Merlin vday scene is known, however. Cerny's presence in Fate is an unknown though. Morgan's Lostbelt is also unknown, but he knows the LB6 king has access to Rhongo as of Kirsh's death in lb5.

Then she's getting adopted.

Technically all the LB Fairies are dindus, but between the Pure Eye letting us scan their stat sheets and the Blessing regarding dragons + Arthuriana Artoria Melusine!Albion should simp. Barghest simps to anyone who can beat her in combat, and HaggisLIZ will be a problem because she's bonkers and we don't have her story as metaknowledge. She might have to die, but Fairies resurrect anyway.

'We'll head to the Round Table first. Saber's right, if there are any knights there that she knows, it will be simple to convince them to act as our allies.' Regardless of whether they want to be allies or not, actually, thanks to her new abilities, if there are any knights at all who call themselves Round Table Knights, then they will almost certainly fall to Saber's power to control them, considering that she is the undisputed King of Knights.

'Right. Then keep close to me, you can still see me, correct, Shinji?' Saber asked you through the mental link, while your Pure Eye was struggling to determine and read information from the world around it, it didn't have any issues with seeing through the magic that concealed Saber and Shirou, and it likely wouldn't have any issues with determining the same about the magic concealing you either. It was odd how the world around you seemed to actively reject revealing information to the Pure Eye. The eye could seemingly still see through illusions and magic, but... it was almost as if the world itself actively rejected the Truth that the eye was supposed to see.

You did as Saber said, following the woman as she led you through the streets of Camelot, there was clearly a rebuild effort going on in the city. You passed hundreds of workmen carrying around building materials and repairing segments of the city that had been damaged. You wondered what happened that would require such a grand rebuilding effort but you couldn't take the risk of asking anybody. You didn't have any idea how the people of this world might react to you, Saber or Shirou. After all, you kind of... stuck out among these people. You were clearly from another country, as was Shirou. Saber meanwhile had the altogether even larger problem of being the King of the city... or maybe Ex-King? It wasn't certain yet.

The journey to the Keep of Camelot was a short one seeing as you didn't allow yourself to be distracted by any of the workmen or citizens wandering past, they had glum expressions, but they weren't in despair. How... strange. Whatever this world was, it wasn't one built on despair, there was still hope. You could see it on the faces of the citizens.
>>
Eventually, you made your way to the main gate of the Keep, and unlike the Gate to the city, the Keep's gate was actually open, though heavily guarded. Of course, Guards are very much irrelevant when you can just walk straight through the gates thanks to being invisible to their eyes. You continued following Saber until you were in a courtyard of the Keep, and the woman... well, it seemed as if she managed to lose herself in her surroundings for a moment before regaining her senses. It must've been overwhelming, to return to a place that she had obviously never expected to be able to come back to. After she'd admired the interior of her own castle for a few seconds, she began to move once again, leading you inside the keep itself and eventually to a large set of doors that were partially ajar.

"I'm telling you Ddraig, that Black Knight is nothing to worry about! He's just some nameless fool. I'm sure when the Queen decides that enough is enough, she'll deal with him personally, besides, I bet you only lost because you were still recovering from your wounds! Only a coward weakling would go after somebody already wounded.." A confident voice of a woman boomed, and you decided to try to see if you could get some more information from these as yet unknown knights. Ddraig? That... wasn't the name of a Knight of the Round Table.

"Stop bothering her, Barghest. The Queen doesn't like it when people try to get close to Ddraig." Another voice sounded out, seemingly scolding the other knight. Barghest? "You might be the Queen's newest recruit to the New Round Table, so I won't think too poorly of you for this. But I would... refrain from speaking to Ddraig about her encounter with that knight in the future." Barghest wasn't a name that was ringing any bells for you either.

"Hmmph, the queen need not bother herself with this Black Knight. Ddraig may have failed to defeat him, but I won't fail like she did. I'll take my time breaking him, I'll enjoy hi-" A sadistic sounding girl began to speak.

"Enough, Tristan." another new voice called out, but... Tristan?! No... that... that definitely wasn't Tristan's voice! "The Queen will decide on the fate of the Black Knight herself, he is too dangerous to us Fae Knights." Fae... Knights? What does that mean? You took a glance at Saber, and for some reason, she looked... furious! On the verge of a violent outburst, even! If you didn't do anything, Saber would almost certainly kick down the door to the hall and attack them immediately!

'Calm yourself for now, Arturia! Now might not be the best time to engage our opponents! We know far too little about them to fight right now!' You quickly spoke to Saber through the runic mental connection, and she stopped in her tracks. 'What are your Instincts telling you? Should we continue to linger here, or should we seek out the armory? I believe that with your powers, it might be possible for you to disable these Round Table Pretenders from wielding the equipment held within.'

Saber remains silent for a time, before she finally speaks through the link. 'No... you are correct. I just... I was angered for the moment, to see and hear such a sadistic personality be associated with Tristan... I apologize for nearly losing my temper. Yes, I believe you to be right. We do not stand to gain much by attempting to listen in any further onto this conversation, and battling them is a needless risk right now. I see now that this Camelot is not the one which I rule, so we must take utmost caution. We should seek the armory.' Saber nodded sagely, you could see her through the passive power of the Pure Eye.

'Alright, would you mind leading the way?' You didn't even need to convince Saber that battling these opponents might've been a bad idea, her instincts may have been enough to inform her that doing battle with a group of unknown foes was a bad idea.

'Right. It's not far, just follow me.' Saber turned around and walked away from the door, and you considered peeking into the room for just a moment before deciding against it, it was too much of a risk.

Saber led you through twisting hallways, Shirou still in her arms as she did, and eventually, you found yourself in front of a large set of iron doors. There was thankfully nobody around, so nobody noticed Saber pushing the incredibly heavy doors open. You suppose that was as much a security measure as it was an imposing statement. The doors themselves must've weighed tons, so only those with the strength of a Knight of the Round would be able to open the Armory where all the magical weapons of Camelot were kept... probably not the best security measure, considering that Mordred must've used that to her advantage back when she rebelled against Saber, but... well, it rendered the armory inaccessible to the common thief, at least.
>>
When the heavy iron doors had finished scraping along the floor noisily, you really hope that nobody had heard them. After nothing gave you any indication that anybody had heard, you sighed in relief, the doors were open enough there was a gap for the three of you to fit through, and without hesitation, you all quickly entered. There was a hallway that led to the true armory, but as you walked down the hall, the iron door suddenly slammed shut behind you. A white clad knight suddenly dropped down from the ceiling with supernatural, almost cat-like grace! Her armor fully obscured her body, and she seemed to be about... ten centimeters or so taller than Saber herself. She wielded a set of bone white chains which jangled as she moved. You tried to use the Pure Eye to determine her identity, but a light stinging sensation was all that you received. Damn it! That armor must've been designed to block your ability to find out who this Knight really was and whatever abilities that she might have!

"You can drop the attempts of concealment." Her voice was unfamiliar, almost as if it echoed from the armor itself rather than the woman within it. "I smelt the three of you come in, of course, I think about half of the castle must've heard you open the doors too." The white clad knight shook her head.

Saber tore her mantle off. "Name yourself, knave! Are you one who would attempt to usurp the title of a Round Table Knight?!" She set Shirou aside and the two of them drew their weapons. You simply shrugged and did the same, dropping the concealment of the magical stone and slipping it into your pocket.

"You are correct." The white armored woman shrugged. "I have been granted the name Fae Knight Agravain, and I will warn you... I am the most powerful of all the Fae Knights." She sounded confident. It didn't sound like a simple boast either, she genuinely believed herself to be the most powerful of the false knights. "Of course... I've been waiting to be able to see how strong you really are, Wielder of Truth!" She suddenly pointed a finger at you, and the chains she wielded jangled once again. "Defeat me, and I'll grant you not only access to the armory, but safe passage out of the keep." The knight was strangely playful, and you got the feeling that the so called Fae Knights weren't exactly the most loyal bunch in the world... or at least this one wasn't. "Now, the three of you can come at me any way you like, I'll give you the first shot." While she might've been confident in her powers, this was just simple arrogance once more.

>Mentally communicate to Artoria to equip Failnaught and Shirou to project and utilise Bouclier de Atlante to first blind the target, before using a combination of Vulcano Caligorante and Trap of Argalia to ensnare and cripple them without killing them.
>Shinji harasses and draws the foe's attention using Rhon in melee, fighting defensively and drawing as much attention as possible with free use of Mana Burst/Instinct and self buffs/rune use where required.
>Artoria provides a combination of Failnaught shots as covering fire using her Instincts, as well as erecting string traps to delimb the target if the binding methods from Shirou falter or fail, and, if possible, attempts to influence the opponent mentally and support everyone with a combination of Tristan's Harp of Healing/Sonorous Praise of Love skill and her own musical skill

Arthur in myth actually owned a very powerful harp, so it stands to reason, especially with Arthuriana, she should be able to play as well as Tristan by borrowing his skills, or even better than him when accounting for her own skill derived from her myths.

>Talyn Arthur (Arthur's Harp), the name of the constellation of Lyra in Wales.

>In Greek mythology, Lyra was associated with the myth of Orpheus, the musician who was killed by the Bacchantes. After his death, his lyre was thrown into the river; Zeus sent an eagle to retrieve the lyre, and ordered both of them to be placed in the sky. In Wales, Lyra is known as King Arthur's Harp (Talyn Arthur), and King David's harp. The Persian Hafiz called it the Lyre of Zurah. It has been called the Manger of the Infant Saviour, Praesepe Salvatoris.[2]

Theoretically, Artoria could be as good with a harp as Orpheus due to how the nasuverse wanks Camelot and the syncretism between the harp Arthur owns within Arthuriana.

For reference, David's Harp of Healing skill which is a rank higher than Tristan, and as per that myth excerpt, analogous to Arthur's Harp was good enough to exorcize the demons within King Saul, so if this Fae Knight is under any kind of mental interference to serve the current regent, considering they already appear disloyal, the harp song of Failnaught may even liberate them or at least cause them a brief moment of clarity.

Now I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord

Where is YHWH in all this mess btw?

This is Morgan's fairyland, but not LB6. Agravain and Ddraig are both new, and Shinji doesn't know about Barhest or Melusine either.

Other than her appearance and her power, we also got some hints about her personality. She's not loyal to Morgan, she's confident and she's not taking this seriously. 'Arturia, equip Failnaught. Shirou, project and utilize Bouclier de Atlante to blind them before using Vulcano Caligorante and Trap of Argalia to ensnare them. I'll harass them in melee and draw their attention by fighting defensively while Arturia uses Failnaught as covering fire with her Instincts while also setting up string traps to delimb her if Shirou's binding methods falter or fail... also, if it's possible, do you think you might be able to try to influence her with a combination of Tristan's Harp of Healing skill in addition to your own skill, Saber?' You ask your allies to prepare themselves, while Fae Knight Agravain taps her foot against the floor impatiently.

"I'm waiting, you know. Are you just going to stand there?" She was clearly getting impatient, and you glanced at Arturia, you just wanted to confirm one last thing before getting started.

'I will do what I can, Shinji.' She nodded, and as she did, she concentrated deeply and Failnaught appeared in her hands. At the same time, Shirou traced the shield of Bradamante.

"Now, Shirou!" You readied Rhongomyniad and began to charge at the Fae Knight Agravain, aiming the point at her leg. You didn't want to kill an enemy who was so clearly prepared to assist you.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyiFBZACYAE

"Bouclier de Atlante!" Shirou activated the magic shield, and your charge was enhanced by a great shining beacon of light at your back, an impossibly blinding light that would stun any who looked upon it, but... the Fae Knight Agravain merely flinched back a bit at the blinding light before she readied herself to take your strike!

As you attempted to strike at the knight, she raised her leg and kicked your lance to the side with terrifying strength and speed that surpassed your own with ease. Even though the power of Bouclier de Atlante should have ranked her down, she was still that much more powerful than you?! You were wide open, but as you were attempting to recover, the knight suddenly grabbed your collar and threw you at Shirou, who only just managed to dodge to the side! "I did say that I'd give you the first strike, didn't I? Trying to blind me was a foolish waste of an attack."

[Status Updated!]

You used your Mana Burst in order to cancel out your momentum and prevent yourself from smashing into a wall, and as you did, Shirou and Saber both acted at once. Saber let loose a barrage of attacks from Failnaught that slammed into the Fae Knight Agravain and forced her back for a moment, while Shirou pointed the whip sword in his hand at her. "Vulcano Caligorante!" He activated the ability of the weapon, and in that moment it sprung to life, the whip extending to a ridiculous degree as it ensnared the knight, leaving her trapped in a cocoon of blades before Shirou charged in with the Trap of Argalia!
>>
Moments before he could reach the knight though, a burst of power stopped his charge in its tracks as the Fae Knight Agravain acted. The cocoon of blades around her simply exploded, sending shards of metal everywhere. She... broke even a Noble Phantasm projected by Shirou as he is now?! And... with so little effort?! Who the hell was this?! How could they have such strength?! You could barely even react as the Lance carried by Shirou was similarly shattered by a lazy kick before the woman threw him across the room like she had done to you! If she had wanted to, she could've obliterated Shirou's entire body with that kick!

"Was that all you had? I'm disappointed, Shinji." You grit your teeth as you look at the spear in your hand. Your pure eye was still failing to work on this woman, as if she was cloaked in a layer of mystery too dense for even your Truth to uncover... but such a thing ought to be impossible! "Perhaps I'll make this easier on you, if you can land a single strike on me, I'll concede." This unwavering confidence... this wasn't arrogance, this was an attitude that could only belong to somebody truly powerful.

"A single strike, huh?" You knew what you had to do. "Arturia! Now!" The strings that she had set in place with Failnaught suddenly sprung to life, and Fae Knight Agravain looked surprised at the sudden binding power of the Noble Phantasm, or, well, as surprised that somebody wearing a helmet and armor that perfectly covered their entire body could be.

Players voted for character editing (concepts) early in the quest rather than new character creation or character erasure. It's a player choice to have even been a thing.

>>4946524
I love how batmong has started namefagging after decrying namefagging for so long. Really activates the almonds.

It'll be good for me to take my mind off the quest for a while, I think.
When I come back, I want to get back to my usual 4 posts a day.
I'm very excited to write this coming arc, and actually being able to have Shinji suffer consqeuences will be nice.

Resident smoothbrain who QM has since banned from voting as of here: >>4946822

You might remember him from such episodes as daily ritual posting of coom images and "dead quest", admitting to trying to sabotage the quest, claiming he doesn't care about the quest despite always being one of the first voters after every update. He's been around a while and has never contributed positively to the quest, ever. He also schizoposts under other aliases and constantly changes his id to samefag.

Jokes aside, it really is nice to be able to post all these.
Love or hate this quest, I gotta give big thanks to WhatIsAQM for triggering my autism all those months ago and sending me hunting for this guy's content. It's really high-quality stuff.
Anyway, now that I'm loaded up with weapons, it's time to go back and read what I've missed for the past few weeks, honestly surprised we haven't burned through another thread or three by this point.

Ye, he's a CF summoned jannie who is both the will of Britain and the best tool for destroying Britain. Like a mini Notes Gaia scenario where the setting wants to destroy its inhabitants for daring to live on past it.
