He's of course strong if you were to compare him to a basic Dead Apostle, but he doesn't have the magical abilities that the other Dead Apostle Ancestors have learned purely as a result of their advanced ages. He's still young. What Enhance does have however are two weapons, each on the level of a Noble Phantasm, that's where the bulk of his power comes from. Then again, both of those weapons destroy him every time he uses them, but it shouldn't be a problem for all that long considering the temporal reversion regeneration ability inherent to all Dead Apostles. It's hardly like he's Shirou strapping on Archer's arm and melting his brain.
"I don't think I'll have much difficulty keeping pace with Ciel at least, now lets go!" On a purely magical basis, you've got more potential than Ciel does, however, the big difference between the two of you is that Ciel as an immortal should have an infinite amount of stamina at her disposal, not to mention that despite all your physical training, the body of somebody who actually goes out and hunts Dead Apostles on perhaps a weekly basis is going to of course be in a better shape than yours. This however, doesn't mean that you're incapable of keeping up with the girl though, as both of you have around similar levels as to what you can push your bodies to with your reinforcement under normal circumstances. You briefly wonder what would happen if Ciel was taught Shirou's immensely dangerous method of turning nerves into circuits. They would only be low quality circuits of course, but through her immortality, it might even be possible for Ciel to survive and remain conscious through the conversion of thousands of the bodies nerves into magic circuits all at once, After all, the human body has billions if not trillions of nerve cells. It might be something worth looking into and perhaps teaching Ciel and SHIKI at a later date. Though such a technique could potentially give either of them a magical energy output greater even than something like Excalibur. A scary thought that something like that might be possible, but then again, immortality on their level is an excellent way to break any sort of magical system. You might be able to regenerate from most any wound, but as far as you can tell, you can still die, so you're loathe to attempt that sort of magecraft.The three of you run as quickly as you can, and you can see Karna in physical form leaping from rooftop to rooftop. "Ciel, if I might ask... why is Archer up there anyway? Also, this might be a good time to tell me what he can do so I can plan around his capabilities." If you were a being that was hurt by the sun, why on Earth would you want to be around a human incarnation of it in the form of Karna? Ciel points ahead to the entrance to Verde, which is still a good distance away even with your speed. You doubt that Karna, even if his skill is particularly great as an Archer, would really be of as much assistance outside. Karna apologies to Enhance, it seems that the Heroic Spirit doesn't have nearly as much dislike for the Dead Apostle. Perhaps it's as a result of Enhance still remaining in some part human despite having become a Dead Apostle? Karna himself looks about as you'd expect him to. Black and gold armor with a red cloak. In his hand is a golden bow of ornate design, clearly a weapon of the Gods, you can tell that from just a glance. Still, it's ridiculous! An Archer who actually uses a bow? What sort of nonsense is this? You guess that the Archer class really is made up of Archers!The four of you don't delay at all as you enter Verde, and as you enter, you are hit with the overpowering smell of alcohol. It's like a dense fog, but you press through it. "Definitely Shuten." You say calmly as you press onward, having taken the lead from Enhance now. You walk through the empty halls of Verde. The screams have all stopped now, and that really doesn't bode well for the people who were in this place. You highly doubt that Shuten was actually going to let a single one of them escape. "Is that you, Master?" You hear Shuten's voice echoing through the halls of the silent shopping center, she's clearly a distance away, yet her voice carries despite that. "I thought I could smell you from the outside. Have you finally decided that I'm worth your time now?" There's definitely a grudge in her voice, and Ciel glares at you with annoyance. You doubt that they'd consider Enhance edible thanks to his nature as a Dead Apostle, and Karna just disintegrates should he be slain. As the world around you transforms into one where Ibaraki has the authority to control Oni the entire force that Shuten has created drops to one knee, an invisible pressure being forced upon them by Ibaraki's Noble Phantasm. "Good job, Ibaraki! Can I trust you and Miho to keep things under control here?" You ask the girl, who doesn't seem to be having any difficulty at all in controlling things. Against nearly any other Servant without unparalleled offensive abilities, defeating that army would've been practically impossible. Even the likes of Minamoto-no-Raikou and her Four Heavenly Kings likely would've been ripped to shreds by that many Oni before managing to exterminate them all, the difference in numbers would've simply been too great.

Probably best you just let her get on with things, despite everything else, it's pretty clear that Ibaraki is very happy to see the rebirth of the Oni race, the girl in life basically had to keep a bunch of suicidal idiots under control with the burden of the fact that should she fail, her race would surely be extinguished in practically every real sense of the term."Good. Medea, take the rest of us to Shuten. I want to put a stop to this, and get my damn Servant back." You give the lavender haired spellcaster another command, though you do give her a small smile after the order. You're happy that she's here, and you're especially happy that she's so damn reliable. Now, Betty might be a tremendously powerful Servant, especially after what you now know about her, but in terms of who you can rely on, Medea is almost certainly always going to top the list."As you wish, Master." It's all that Archer can do to raise his bow to block her strike, and even with the miraculous damage reduction granted to him through Kavacha and Kundala, he's still noticeably forced backwards. Though he doesn't allow the overwhelming strength of his opponent to hinder him for long, and before he's even finished being pushed backwards by the force of Shuten's strike, he makes his counter-attack, pulling an arrow from a quiver and using it like a small stabbing weapon, though his melee attack doesn't strike true, and Shuten dives around his attack, even if it was still quite skilled. Karna is an Archer, and has no place fighting Shuten-dōji in close range. While he's certainly skilled enough for it, the lack of any sort of melee weaponry on his part isn't going to do him many favors against Shuten, who has manifested her sword, looking to counter Karna's own failed counterattack, only for a black sword to intercept her strike and knock it off course, the sword seems to leave a trail of darkness after having been swung. Karna goes back to stand at Ciel's side, who is watching the battle between the vampire and the oni with great concern."Now this is what I'm talking about!" Enhance happily enters the melee with Shuten, and despite Shuten's clear strength advantage, the two appear to be at least somewhat equally matched when it comes to skill. Enhance's demonic sword is clearly the thing allowing him to go blow for blow with Shuten, it seems to strike with more force than it is swung with, charged up with malice and hatred. It's a weapon on the level of a Noble Phantasm that much is clear, it's like he's swinging around the embodiment of malice and hatred itself, leaving behind curses in it's wake so great that they can fundamentally break down anything that touches them with their malevolent energy. "Come on, little demon! Let's see just what you've got!" Enhance raises his gun, the Holy Burial Artillery Scripture, and fires it at Shuten at almost point blank range! Shuten leaps away from the attack, a few of the holy bullets piercing her despite her rapid retreat from the attack. The holy attack seems to have had added power on the oni as a result of her demonic nature. But despite the smoking holes on her left leg, she doesn't seem at all hindered, and they begin to regenerate despite having been caused something with a holy nature! "Little demon?" Shuten suppresses a bout of laughter as she looks at the vampire. "Still, you aren't a human, and you aren't affected by my Intoxicating Aroma, so you must be..." Shuten springs back at Enhance with speed that not even he can react to, and uses her blade to almost cleanly decapitate the man, the only thing stopping her from going all the way is him quickly raising his sword and forcing her and her sword back.
Enhance remains standing, unhindered by almost having been partially decapitated, and Shuten's eyes narrow. "...A vampire." Enhance has a dumb smirk on his face as the damage begins to be reversed by the natural ability of all Dead Apostles to heal wounds by reversing time itself on their own bodies. Against people like Enhance and other Dead Apostles, the only way to truly rid yourself of them is to either kill them instantly, strike with holy attacks, or have some way to deal unhealable wounds. "You're quite powerful, I must say." Shuten seems to congratulate her opponent on his strength."You got that right, and I gotta say, you're pretty tough too, little demon." The damage that Shuten's strike had caused to Enhance has already healed, the regenerative abilities of Dead Apostles are just completely broken. At least with a Servant, if you cut their arm off or decapitate them, they're probably going to die. With Dead Apostles, they are by default only really killable with a few specific methods. Your own ability to heal from wounds is unfortunately slower than that of a Dead Apostles, however, it could be called more complete.Karna is keeping his distance for now. Seemingly not wanting to interfere with a one-on-one duel between the Oni and the Vampire. The damn overly honorable fool. Then again, he can probably see through Shuten, and that despite everything she's doing, she's actually probably doing all that she can to rebel against the terms of her contract. You didn't get to read all of it, but it's pretty clear that she's basically been asking you to remove it multiple times, though without actually directly asking. After all, this was never a fight to kill Shuten, and the fact that she's been quite easily immobilized by Caster's spell is proof that the battle is over already... Or at least, it should've been.You can already see that Shuten has started to surge her magical energy, and the magical binding that Medea has used on her is already starting to show signs of breaking under the power that Shuten is giving off. You hurry to prepare another chain made out of Truth. Shuten might be able to break out of Medea's binding spell, but she's already shown herself to be quite incapable of breaking truth with her own hands, so that means that all you need to do is get a solid grip on her with the chains and then have two ends tie together! It's obvious that you aren't anywhere close to be powerful enough to hold her back with just your own strength alone, but by joining the two ends of the chain, you make it so that nobody should be capable of escaping. We also have the knowledge that Manaka's defined "enemies" need to be individually listed. We don't know if she can update this contract on the fly, or if servants must return to her for extra commands. If they do we can also lay traps enroute to the temple between the current locations of the servants if she calls them all back to update commands after each confrontation. This control method is very much like how Golems are controlled with their scrolls of commands by the long nose tribe so maybe it's based on that?From that we can also test allies in future. Find out who to bring to future ally encounters due to them not being listed by Manaka. It's likely the list will be updated over time and we may need to rotate the roster to continue circumventing it. The mana heat map will really help this as we can see if they do start converging back on the temple after someone is dealt with or a new ally hits the scene. So do you guys want to split up the teams again? and if you do, how do you want them split up?
Really this comes down to whether or not we can slow down Shuten enough for Medea to land a single attack. Shuten has an A in agility, which is superior to Medea's B in a straight contest, and with our reinforcement we have a flat E in all physical parameters. If we wanted to do canon parameter math, B = A-E, which means that we can close the gap in speed with our interference. We win if Medea hits Shuten once so all we need to do is slow her down for a moment. I think it's entirely possible for us to impede her for a significant amount of time considering she has to make a conscious effort to hold back her strength so she doesn't kill us.She can't throw us off impulsively, or thrash in an attempt to shake us off, or even try to pull us off by hand because she'd risk killing us, so I think it's plausible that Medea will be able to get a hit in.

It's irritating having to deal with Shuten like this, but it's not so bad. If Shuten was actually dedicated to actually killing you all here, then she likely already would've used her other Noble Phantasms that she should have. Namely, Bone Collector and the Providential Oni Poison. Of course you can't actually confirm whether or not she has them in the way you remember or not thanks to already having been strengthened when she was summoned. It's actually highly likely that even the ranks of her Noble Phantasms have risen. Still, seeing as she can't actually use the Oni Poison without killing you, you're probably safe from that Noble Phantasm. It would be a nightmare to try to face Shuten in that setting, as a poison that can break even the bodies of Servants down saturates the battlefield. If she had activated that ability, you doubt that you, Enhance or Medea would've been able to survive very long. Hell, even Ciel would soon find herself incapable of action despite her immortality! At least Ibaraki has things under control on that front, but if you hadn't recruited Miho and her Servant, then things would've been tremendously bad for you here, and you'd have either needed to slaughter three hundred innocent people, tried to somehow restrain them, or have just let them run rampant on Fuyuki, and you obviously weren't just going to allow that to happen. Three hundred ravenous oni tearing through Fuyuki would quickly kills thousands, maybe tens of thousands of people. Honestly, the collateral damage might even end up wiping out the entire city!'I'm well aware, and I don't like it either, but Shuten is tough, something like this might be painful for her, but there are very few Servants who would be able to survive something like this better than her. It seems that being spared by somebody when they could easily rip you to shreds in the blink of an eye does wonders for your outlook on a person. As you slowly walk away from the scene, you can see Ciel's face light up in surprise as Medea sends a message to her, having whispered one of her divine words under her breath in order to secure a telepathic connection to the girl. Ciel's surprised look suddenly hardens into one of determination. "Enhance, you may want to go with them. They might need some help." Ciel states calmly as she looks at Shuten, clearly wanting to get the vampire out of the room so that Karna isn't so restricted in just what he can do. Not being able to use the majority of his powers out of a worry of his flames harming the vampire due to having a sun attribute has really weakened the otherwise exceptionally powerful Archer. You had originally wanted Enhance to help too, but that's... really probably not a good idea.

As you walk back towards the location you remember that Ibaraki and her new oni should be, you start to see the walls begin to slowly change, wandering into the activation zone of Ibaraki's Noble Phantasm. While she likely could've converted the entire building into her fortress, that would've just been a waste of her Master's magical energy, after all, it's not like fully manifesting the Noble Phantasm would serve any sort of real purpose, when you hear the large open space that you just walked out from behind you erupt into noises of explosions and combat, you turn back to see just what is going on. Running to a different set of doors from the ones you left by in order to see Karna and Shuten doing battle with each other from the third floor of the building. The two incredibly powerful Servants giving off explosive amounts of flame and heat as they clash with each other, Karna ramming Shuten with his bow whenever she gets too close and firing at her with arrows when she backs away, drawing and firing arrows from the bow in a blink of an eye, though despite the power in his attacks, Shuten seems to be capable of enduring the attacks! Ciel of course is also providing assistance, though her projectiles, while powerful and on the level of a Servant themselves thanks to the secret technique of the Burial agency: the Iron Plate Effect, they obviously aren't as powerful or fast as those being shot by Karna's bow, but they are still clearly causing Shuten to be distracted as she dodges them, the holy energy contained within them being far more effective on her than Karna's arrows!Eventually, the two Servants come to a pause in the action. "Not bad, Second Archer. However..." The Assassin pulls out a small gourd of liquid that she pours into a small dish. Wait a minute! She's... She's about to use her Noble Phantasm! Are you in the effective range of it from here!
