It is a time of peace. With Lord Freeza’s explosive declaration, naming himself Emperor of the Universe after single-handedly obliterating the Covenant stronghold High Charity, peace has come to the universe. Not wanting to stand against him and his unstoppable Super Saiyans, within days of his declaration the universe bent the knee. And while there are always outliers, those stubborn or foolish enough to try and resist, the overwhelming majority of the universe is bending the knee. And he wouldn’t have achieved all this, defeated the strongest military in the universe and survived the Prophet’s ultimate weapon without your help.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, the story of an alternate timeline in the greater Dragonball EU. Currently it is Age 749 and you the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830 who has risen to become a mighty Super Saiyan, and so much more. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the symbol of Saiyan might and power recognized actoss the universe. Now as a PTO general with a powerlevel of over 34 million, and close friend and confidant of Lord Freeza himself, Karn has become his people’s greatest champion.

Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

One week after High Charity’s destruction, Karn had spoken with some of his allies and took his younger kids fishing before Ubo returned and they battled. With his powers greatly enhanced by the light of a blue star he had easily surpassed Karn, reaching far closer to Golden Freeza’s power. After the battle it was lunchtime, Karn going into the city with his family and entering a fancier tourist-y restaurant. Once inside and seated, Karn was approached by a familiar trio. Now as we rejoin Karn, Komand’r and Turles have joined your family for lunch.

“My little sister called me back this morning, and informed me that her attack has been successful so far. Since the war ended, she’s conquered three seperate Remnant holdouts.” Komand’r says casually, picking up the haunch of some sort of flame-cooked beast and taking a large bite before continuing. “And they’re moving onto the next one tomorrow.”
“Being able to breathe in space is a huge advantage, not going to lie.” you answer, then tear the meat off of a side of some beast’s ribs. “How long are you all planning to stay for?”
“At least until my dear sister returns, with the Guard she took along.” Komand’r replies. “Until then I thought it would be nice if we stuck around, and let little Ticho spend a bit more time with this side of the family.”

As she says this the four of you adults all look over, seeing her and Caulifla whispering about something, heads down together. You glance to the Tamaranean princess, and for the first time you can remember see a look of genuine compassion as she sees her daughter smiling and giggling together with Cauli. You look away before she notices, the Tamaranean royalty shifting the focus of the conversation.

“But now that the war’s over, what about you?” she asks you suddenly. “What are you planning on doing next?”
“Well, I hadn’t been spending as much time with the kids as I’d wanted.” you answer her. “And it’s past time I did so.”
“So you’re not leaving anymore?” Kayle, your second-youngest daughter and youngest twin asks. “You’re gonna be home?”
“That’s right, I’m gonna be right here at home for the foreseeable future.” you say, Kayle leaping atop her seat and cheering excitedly. You notice several glances from a few of the more poshly-dressed creatures here, who all turn away rather quickly when they recognize you. “Spending time with my family, and furthering my training.”
“As strong as you are, it still isn’t enough?” she asks, half-jokingly. “What are you even training for?”

Well, what do you say?
>I’m aiming to be the best me I can be
>I promised Freeza that I’d catch up to his power
>I won’t stop even after I’m the strongest in the universe
>As long as my enemies live, I won’t quit getting stronger

This rings true to the Karn I know. It's always about being ready for whoever's stupid enough to come for our head.
Complacency is the enemy and all that.

>>4661489
I want to say Karn gets stronger to protect those he cares for, just like she plans on doing now that she has a daughter, and as long as someone is stronger than you, it will never be enough.

“I have to get stronger. As long as my enemies live, I have to keep pushing myself.” you tell her. “The universe may be ‘united’ now, but that doesn’t mean everyone’s suddenly gonna just get along. There’s still whatever Sangheili survived High Charity’s explosion who’ll no doubt want revenge, as well as whoever else has survived the different battles. Like those demons who followed Trigon, and had apparently been trying their luck again while I was gone. Babidi’s still out there somewhere too, with his monster even King Cold is afraid of.”
“Sounds to me like you never plan on taking it easy.” she replies, eyeing you.

“The universe isn’t a fair place. The strong make the rules, and the weak either fall in line or die.” you tell her. “I get stronger so I can protect those I care for, no matter who or what tries something. And as long as someone is still stronger than me, my training will never be enough.”
“Power does grant a level of autonomy unavailable to the weak.” she says, sounding more thoughtful as she considers your words with her own background. “The less one can actually force you to do something, the less power they will have over you.”

She then glances to Turles, golden hair still spiked, as something seems to dawn on her. She then smirks at him, a hint of cruelty but also near-feralexcitement in that gaze. You can almost feel him tense up from there, but after an instant the moment passes. She looks a little more smug than before, but says nothing about it. Everything’s quiet for a moment, before Caulifla speaks up.

“Hey Momma! Dad! Can Ticho and I go?” she asks you both suddenly. “I wanna go show her somethin’!”
“Are you finished eating?” Meloka asks her, your daughter nodding rapidly several times.
“Uh huh! Pleeeaaaaase?” she asks, clasping her hands together. You and Meloka share a glance, then look back to her.
“I don’t see why not.” you say, looking over to Komand’r and Turles. Getting the hint Caulifla looks to them as well, and asks the same.
“Please?” Caulifla asks, and for a second you think she’s going to say no. But as the Tamaranean princess looks to her daughter her expression softens.
“I guess you can go.” Komand’r says, then holds up a single finger. “Stay with her, and don’t get seperated. Okay?”
“Thank you mother!” she says, rushing out of her chair and around the table to hug her mom, then dad too before the two of them rush out of the restaurant.

“So, where are you off to next?” you ask.
“Back to your king. I have to finish renegotiating the alliance between our peoples with him.” she says, catching you off guard. “After all, our alliance was ‘until the Covenant are destroyed’, remember? And I believe this qualifies as destroyed.”

“Well, I can’t argue that point.” Meloka says. “Good luck with that.”

And before you can answer him, feel two sudden, explosive surges of ki as Leyas and Sarada both transform. Both of their ki signatures spike, rising well above their normal Super Saiyan levels. Something’s going on.

“That.” you reply, turning to the oldest twins as you transform as well. “Tatsu, Tomi. Take your younger siblings.”
“Right.” they both reply simultaneously, each one taking ahold of their youngest opposite. You then transform into a Super Saiyan yourself, emerald aura spiking up around you as you turn to Meloka.
“Let’s go.” you say, the two of you blasting into the air and leaving twin gold and green streaks in the air as you fly. It takes only seconds for you to reach the city’s outskirts, where you find them on the opposite side of the city as the arena. In fact you feel their power from the forest, seeing their blazing white auras from the sky. Then they move, slamming into each other hard enough for the shockwave to reach you all the way up here. You glance to Meloka and nod once, the two of you dropping down to get a better look at what’s happening. But as you get closer, you find yourself more confused instead of less. Between the two part-demon Saiyans stands another fighter, blocking hits from both sides. “What the hell?”

“Looks like they may need our help.” Meloka says, more than a dozen of her Warding Eyes already hovering around her. You nod back, gather your ki into your right fist, and launch yourself down at the planet. As you dash down you see their opponent as a rather large man, bigger than Leyas but not as massive as Ubo as he punches Sarada in the gut hard enough to lift her off her feet while back-kicking Leyas in the chest and knocking him away. At the last second the mysterious fighter senses you, looking up just in time to see you dropping down right at him.

“RRRRAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, punching at his head with a ki-clad fist. The warrior raises his right arm, intercepting the blow with his forearm. Your ki explodes, knocking Sarada clear as to your surprise, you feel your energy getting absorbed into this foe. “What?”
“Karn, be careful!” Leyas shouts. “He can absorb your energy attacks!”
“Oh that’s bullshit!” you shout back, flipping back away and landing on your feet then taking your fighting stance.
“You. You’re the one who killed Father.” he says, you getting a good look at the man. And that’s when you realize that, like that giant demon Trigon, this man has four eyes too. “Karn.”

“You know who I am, but I have no idea who you are.” you reply. “Or why you’re on my planet.”
“Hmph! Arrogant mortal. Thinking all that happens is because of you.” he says, eyes blazing crimson. “Soon you, and your entire pitiful race will be crushed beneath our boots. Then we demons shall rule-!”

And what he was saying is interrupted as Meloka, who’d been sneaking up behind him, decapitates the demon with an ‘x’ slice from her ki blades. His head falls off his body amidst a spray of blood, then to your surprise the warrior disappears in a blaze of hellish flames. Then after a few seconds the fires fade, taking that fighter along with them.

“You guys alright?” you ask, turning to Sarada. Who’s already standing, and seems more annoyed than anything else. “What happened?”
“We were just sparring, when that bastard just walked up to us out of the trees.” she says, scowling. “Then he just fucking attacked us. He ate our first combined attack, and that’s when we knew that bastard wasn’t a pushover.”
“Couldn’t sense his energy either, so figured better to fight it safe.” Leyas follows up, the four of you gathering in the clearing’s center. “Then you showed up. Thanks for the assist.”
“No problem. Just hate he got away.” you reply, transforming back down. “But at least he won’t be back for awhile.”

“Hey, I have an idea.” Sarada says, aura again flaring up as she leaps back from you and takes her stance. “How about we spar for a bit? Since you’re here already and everything?”
“That sounds like a good time.” Leyas answers, leaping over to her side and doing the same. “What do you say?”

“Actually, there was something I was hoping to talk to you both about.” you say, powering back down so there’s no way they could think it’s a trick for a cheeky attack. “It’s about Chilli.”
“He’s your oldest, right?” Leyas asks, you nodding. “You two got so many now it’s hard to keep them all straight.”
“While we were with Lord Freeza on High Charity, an enemy captured my son.” you say, both of their expressions immediately turning to shock, eyes wide. “And when I found him, he was in bad shape. Another minute, and he would have been dead.”

“Damn, sorry to hear that.” Sarada says, clearly upset. “But, why are you telling us?”
“Because the bastard who captured him had him for a long time.” you say, realization slowly dawning on their faces. “And I want to help him, because he reminds me of how you two were after fighting that bastard Demongo.”

As you speak the name of Aku’s former minion, both shiver as if a glacier had suddenly been pressed to their backs.

“He’s just as lucky as you two are to be alive.” you continue, pressing on despite how uncomfortable they seem to be at the mention of the one who’d killed them. “But ever since he came back, he’s been...Off. I think he’s hearing things too, and I don’t know what to do.”
“Really know how to bring the mood down, huh?” Sarada says, dropping out of her transformation and reverting to her base form. Leyas does so as well, both looking a whole lot less enthusiastic than they did just a few moments ago. “I don’t want to talk about it.”

And before you can say anything else she takes to the air, blasting off further from the city as Leyas sighs out.

“Look, I get it.” Leyas says, laying a hand on your shoulder. “You really care about your kids. But we’re still dealing with what that bastard did to us. Most days we can forget about it and act like everything’s normal, but not when someone starts talking about it. So just, don’t mention it again, okay?”
“Sorry, I won’t.” you reply, holding your right hand out towards him. He takes the offering, you both clasping forearms before he lets go and takes off after his sister. Leaving you feeling somehow even worse.

“That didn’t go how I thought it would.” yoy say, Meloka flying over and wrapping her arms around you and hanging off your shoulders. “Dammit.”

You stand there with Meloka, just taking a quiet moment when a familiar voice yells out.

“Everything okay?” Tatsu and Tomi shout simultaneously. You turn and look up, seeing your kids have gathered in the sky above the clearing.
“We’re fine.” you call back, lifting back into the air. Meloka let’s go, taking back both Karn Jr and Okira and holding one in each arm to her. “They were just practicing and getting a little rowdy.”

The story seems to appease them, none questioning it. But now that leaves you with one question:

I feel bad that we didn't give Leyas and Sarada the support they needed all this time...they're practically our siblings. And when they opened up to us in the past, we didn't take it as seriously as we should have.
There's got to be something we can do for them to make up for it, and help them now. It's better off in the hands of professionals, but I don't think they're willing to see a professional about it, being the stubborn saiyans that they are.

Yeah, hoping to get tons of interactions done, really hang with our family. That list doesn't even include things like how we basically weren't there to help Raven grieve when the Guardian died, or how we haven't had a non-fight related talk with Ubo. I get that we're busy, but hopefully we can really enjoy our time now with everyone
>>
>>4662092
We're only one man. We can only do so much, and for as much as everyone looks to us for help, at the end of the day we're only truly good at fighting, killing, destroying. Karn knows little to nothing about creating or mending things, it's simply not in his nature to fix what's already broken. The best he can do is to try to stop things from being broken in the first place, usually by eliminating the cause. When things slip through the cracks? That's when he has to learn to rely on others, and let them do what THEY do best to fix things.
I fear that Chili already knows this about Karn. That he's next to useless outside of murder.

It’s harsh, but true. Karn is from the old generation of Saiyans that only knew how to fight, fuck, eat and die. At least this new generation seems to be evolving from solely living like that.

“But for now let’s go, I have to catch up with someone.” you say, taking a moment to focus your ki sense and find who you’re looking for. And considering the powerlevel of those around him, it takes little time for you to lock on to his ki signature. “I’m going over to the labs, who wants to come?”

Everyone does, so you and Meloka lead your family back towards the city. Before you reach it you turn, headed towards the cluster of buildings and scrapped Covenant warships. Thankfully they don’t try and use your family as impromptu target practice, as they’d done to you before, but the entire time before landing at the door have your Barrier primed and ready to shield you and your family. As you land the door slides open, and you’re greeted by an unfamiliar face.

“Umm, sorry, but we don’t have any-oh!” the young woman in a lab coat says, clearly expecting someone else. “Uhh h-hello. Can I help you?”
“Yeah, I just need to talk to B7 real quick.” you tell the girl. “It’s about his training.”
“Of course General, come on inside.” she says, moving aside. “I wasn’t aware you’d be coming personally.”
“I’d told him before the war ended that I’d train him.” you say, heading right for the elevator that leads down. “And I’m here to make good on my word.”
“Of course sir.” she says, walking with you all to the elevator. Once inside she presses a single button lower on the panel, and steps back out as the doors begin sliding shut. “Good luck!”
“Thanks?” you reply, confused by her response as the doors shut in your face. You turn to Meloka, who looks just as confused as you do as the elevator begins descending and simply shrugs.

“Daddy, who’s B7?” Kayle asks, your second-youngest daughter looking up at you curiously. “Is he one of your friends?”
“He is a friend, yes.” you reply, ruffling her hair and smiling at her. Which is a gesture she returns, and it warms your heart to see such genuine joy. You just hope one day Chilli will be able to smile like that again. A few moments later the elevator dings, doors opening into a more familiar workshop. But you can’t focus on that, instead your attention is drawn to the hulking metal suit right there before you. It’s larger than you, nearly as big as your Berserker form, and radiates with menace.

“Karn.” it’s mechanical voice says, pulling it’s right fist back goes to punch square at your face. Well, that’s one way to greet you.

How do you react?
>Match the punch with one of your own
>Let it hit you, don’t even try and block it
>Catch it’s fist with your hand, but don’t try to break it
>Try and Instant Transmission, disappear behind it as the fist closes in

Oh yeah, the pastebin link that tells us all the options and outcomes of future endeavors. Why do we bother with discussion when we can get all the future stuff right there without worry.

So we did lose multiple things, you admit? Continue moving the goalpost, just wanted to make sure you realized that first.

Bane took a long time to get to his level but two things. One, we've already proven we can excel and pick things up quickly, and two we don't need to get to his level, just having a good range of abilities is good.
>Name something we can't do with our current skillset right now without Sith training for a certain ability beyond Force Drain.

Dude. You've been schizoposting about the evil sith anon for the past 3 threads give or take. it's annoying, especially when you've been proven time and again it isn't just one anon because you argue with multiple of them.
If you don't want to do sith training fine, but don't anyone who disagrees is some rampant sithfag especially when your the one who makes such a big deal about even thinking of doing sith training whenever the force is mentioned.

>And the guy ignoring everything for Sith training somehow isn't?
I was clearly talking about both of you, but also you in particular because of how vehemently you come at anyone who’s for something that you’re not. It’s honestly concerning, man.
>>
>>4662447
>You said we'd never be sith enough to do it, word for word.
Because being Sith enough to do would require Dark Side training in our brain to work. As Karn is not nor ever will be truly Sith enough the training would be useless. You know that.
>Oh yeah, the pastebin link that tells us all the options and outcomes of future endeavors. Why do we bother with discussion when we can get all the future stuff right there without worry.
So you want to talk about moving the goalposts by still ignoring the fact we can still do everything we need already.
>So we did lose multiple things, you admit? Continue moving the goalpost, just wanted to make sure you realized that first.
Which wasn't even the point of the argument, and you can argue anything without trying to ignore the original point to begin with.
>One, we've already proven we can excel and pick things up quickly,
In our martial training for Dejim So, with Bane stating we are not adequate in the more mental and philosophical teachings for Sith training.
>and two we don't need to get to his level, just having a good range of abilities is good.
That is only true on a surface level if you ignore the time it takes to learn the principles of the Force ability, become corrupted enough by the Darkside training to use said ability while simultaneously ignoring our need to keep it from mutating us with the Dark Sides influence, thus making the ability less effective.
>This does literally nothing to address what you greentexted. I-
You still haven't said anything we can't do already that would require Darkside training, just abilities from our old version of Dragon Force, that we can still use the core function of, the only abilities it had that even have an equivalent in use in Sith abilities is Drain. Everything else we can do on our own and replicate in some capacity.
>You've been schizoposting about the evil sith anon for the past 3 threads give or take. it's annoying, especially when you've been proven time and again it isn't just one anon because you argue with multiple of them
It still doesn't change the fact its a stupid waste of time, and you changing my argument to anything Force related besides the Sith training you are pushing for.
>but don't anyone who disagrees is some rampant sithfag especially when your the one who makes such a big deal about even thinking of doing sith training whenever the force is mentioned.
And yet you say nothing about the guy constantly bringing it up when there is no value in it. Just telling me to be quiet when there is no argument to do it.
>>4662464
It should be more concerning about constantly arguing for Sith training like nothing wrong would happen.

Watching the mechanical fist fly at your face, you don’t exactly feel threatened by it. In fact, you decide to try and break out an older move you haven’t used in awhile. Your ki expands out a few inches from your body on all sides, cloaking your as you feel it harden. Your energy becomes solid, and an instant later the suit’s fist crashes against your hardened energy. Which is still an odd sensation. You can feel the full force of the blow, but with your energy absorbing most of the impact what actually touches you is far, far less. And given the punch wasn’t enough to actually hurt you in the first place, it feels like little more than a flick.

“Woah! How’d you do that?” Maz asks, eyes wide. “That was so cool!”
“That’s the Energy Body. I’ll teach you how to do it later.” you tell him, then turn back. “Daiko, I see you’ve gotten that stealth suit upgraded a bit. How’s the re-setup been going?”
“Designing things to be modular has been a great assist, and we’re already back to prewar efficiency.” he says, backing up a few seconds before the entire suit begins opening up. And out from the back steps the familiar Saiyan scientist and researcher, who inherited his position as lead from his late mentor. Who’s box you still have on your ship, too. “What brings you around today? Here to check out some of our newest tools?”
“We can, if you don’t mind. But I do need to talk to B7 first.” you tell him. “I did promise to train him, after all.”
“And neither has he, let me tell you.” he says, barking orders at someone to move the suit as he leads you deeper inside. “B7 has been rather dejected, thinking with the war already over you wouldn’t keep those training sessions of yours alive. What changed your mind?”

“Huh? I never planned to halt the trainings.” you tell him as he leads you past several weapons tests. You see another, similar suit taking a direct blow from a Gravity Hammer, only for the wielder to be blown back. Another is testing a rifle-like weapon, firing an azure beam right through an armored Sangheili breastplate and into the reinforced, scorched and pockmarked wall behind it. “I told them once things were all moved out of the Lucrehulk and everyone got settled we’d pick them back up.”
“Either way, I’m sure he’ll be excited.” Daiko says, leading you further and further in. Out of that testing room he leads you to an observation deck, B7 in the training room below. But he’s not alone, another one of the scientists are in another suit facing him down. “Right now he’s helping test the newest suit design at ten times New Salda’s gravity.”
cont
>>
>>4662477
“Ten times, huh?” you say, turning your full attention to B7. “Let’s see how he handles it.”
“HAAA!!” the suit-wearer shouts, punching down at B7. With the enhanced gravity working with the punch it’s faster than the one Daiko threw at you earlier, but B7 easily dodges the blow by launching himself forward and down into a slide between the machine’s legs, then drives his left elbow into the back of it’s right leg as he slides past. The blow buckles the suit’s leg, knocking it down to that knee. But it doesn’t fall without a fight, kicking back with it’s left leg right at B7. Who narrowly avoids taking the blow directly, but it still clips his shoulder and sends the Saldaman spinning.

“Those suits seem pretty durable.” you muse, wondering how it would hold up once B7 transforms? But what really surprises you is the suit’s speed. It doesn’t move all that fast, but even under ten times gravity it isn’t slowed at all. Whereas B7’s movements are noticeably a bit heavier and less graceful, between the gravity and variable training weights strapped to his arms and legs. Yet he still rises to his feet faster than the machine, taking his fighting stance he copied from you as the suited man turns to face him. “How well does it hold up once B7 transforms?”
“Let’s find out!” Daiko says excitedly, activating the room’s comms. “B7, let us move onto the next stage! Transform, if you would please.”
“Of course!” the Saldaman says, clenching his fists as his golden aura surges up around him. “HRRRAAAAA!!”

“WOAH!!”
“COOL!”
“NO WAY!!”

Your children all shout in surprise as B7 transforms, his body shifting to a brilliant golden shine.

“Well? Which test should we start?” Daiko asks you. “Shall we test the suit’s durability, it’s power, the stealth? Or we could just let them slug it out, and watch the fireworks?”

Well?
>Durability, you’re curious just how tough it is

“Let’s start with durability, why not?” you say. “All the bells and whistles in the world don’t matter if the user dies from a single attack in something that moves that slow.”
“One durability test, coming up.” he says to you, then reopens comms. “B7, we’ll be starting the durability test now. Ready Been?”
“Ready!” the suited scientist replies, pulling her right fist back as B7 mirrors her. “Firing!”

And she punches right for B7’s head. The Saldaman punches back in kind, flesh and metal smashing together at the two fighters’ full power. The resulting shockwave rattles the observation window, but it doesn’t give. Which is more than you can say for the suit’s metal hand. You see sparks come from it as the user tries to open the hand several times before stopping, the sparks stopping as well.

“Mechanical failure, unable to re-open right hand.” the suited scientist says, who you now realize is a female. “But I’m fine.”
“Good, next trial.” Daiko orders through comms. Both fighters get evenly spaced apart, and from the way they’re standing you know what’s coming next. Both will fire off left turning kicks at the other, to test that leg armor’s durability. “Ready?”
“Ready!” they both say, and she kicks. B7 waits a half-second before doing so as well, since he’s clearly much faster now. Once more flesh and metal collide, this time with less of a shockwave and more of an audible crunch. You look at their legs, and to your complete surprise see a few drops of what looks like blood fall from where their legs are connected. And to your surprise B7 is the one who backs off, clutching at his leg.

“B7, report!” Daiko says, suddenly worried. “What happened?”
“Something cut me.” he says, pulling his clawed hands back and looking at the injury. “Doesn’t seem deep, just surprised me. Been?”
“Armor integrity comprised, the suit’s losing atmospheric pressure.” she says. “Recommend disabling the enhanced gravity so we can check the full extent of the damage.”
“Standby Been.” Daiko says, pressing a few buttons. The room below begins changing from red ambient lighting back to normal, Daiko gesturing to a lift at the side of the observation room. “Shall we go take a closer look?”

“Let’s go.” you say, leading your little group onto the lift with Daiko. He activates it, the platform breaking the airtight seal as it descends down into the room. Both B7 and the suited woman turn towards you all, B7’s face lighting up as he sees you. “Hey. Hard at work I see.”
“Karn, hey! What’re you doi-?” he starts, but winces hard and collapses as he tries to put his full weight on his injured leg. “Gah!”
cont
>>
>>4662671
“Stay down B7, let me take a look.” Daiko scolds him, rushing to the Saldaman before his suited subordinate who doesn’t seem to mind. You approach too but slower, giving him the space he needs to inspect your friend. “That’s a nasty one right there. Broke your inner xylem clean through, and that pressure you put on it certainly didn’t help. Here, hold still.”

And as he says this Daiko pulls a rather wicked-looking syringe from his inner lab coat pocket, and inserts the needle directly into his open wound. But doesn’t immediately press the plunger down, instead meeting B7’s gaze directly.

“Are you ready?” he asks, B7 gritting his teeth and clenching his fists as he nods once. “Alright. Three, two-“

As Daiko counts down to two presses it down, injecting the entire syringe’s worth of fluid into the wound and almost immediately leaps back away. B7 howls in agony or rage one, golden aura flaring as he clutches either side of the injury to his shin as he rolls around. But after several moments of heart-wrenching screams he stops, the Saldaman reverting back to his base form as he flops tiredly backwards flat on his back, trying to catch his breath.

“The hell was that?” you ask, turning on Daiko worriedly. Whatever he did seems to have done a number on B7, and you’re furious he’d hurt your friend. “What did you do to him?”
“I did nothing bad, I only helped him! This is an enhanced version of the Saibamen growth formula, allowing for rapid cellular growth and regrowth.” Daiko says, revealing he has another three inside his coat, but two are already used up and empty. He’s gone through that three times today? “It’s painful, but the traditional Healing Pod formula doesn’t work very well at all on B7, since he is just as much a plant as an animal. With it’s limited effectiveness, we’ve had to devise another way to keep B7 in fighting shape.”
“Hurts like hell.” B7 says wearily, not immediately trying to get up. “But that wears off in a few minutes, and I’ll be good as new.”
“And before you ask, no. We can’t use this on people.” Daiko says to you directly. “Plants and animals have different cellular structures, and taking this injection would be like pouring dirty radiation directly into your body. At the absolute best-case, you’d be kept hospitalized while your entire bloodstream was thoroughly cleaned out.”

“Yeah, no. Already done that once, never again.” you say, Daiko nodding at you. But then he looks to B7, and sighs out. “Looks like the durability test is over, at least for today.”

“I’ll be up in a few minutes, and we can try again.” B7 says, but Daiko is clearly unconvinced. However, instead of taking that issue up with B7 he simply lets the Saldaman rest, turning to his subordinate and walking over to her.
“Catch your breath, I’ve got some good news for you in a minute.” you tell B7, catching his weary thumbs up as you also go to see if the assistant is okay.

“You don’t feel any bleeding, no punctures, anything?” Daiko is asking her, Been having sat down and stretched the damaged leg out. To do so the suit is resting on it’s hands, but he seems unconcerned with that damage. Which makes sense, as her hand isn’t inside the suit’s hand as it’s much larger than she is. Unless there’s a seven-plus foot tall Saiyan woman you’ve somehow never seen before wandering around. Then again, you are in a scientist’s underground lab. And you’ve found all sorts of unbelievable things in these sorts of locations over the years. “What is the display saying about the damage?”
“Vacuum seal broken, left shin.” she reads off compliantly. “Armor badly damaged, frame damaged.”
“As I thought, that’s what he hit.” Daiko says, almost to himself as he pulls several mechanical tools from his large coat pockets. He quickly removes the mangled armor plate from the suit’s shin, and takes a look. You see that the impact actually took place just above where her foot is, about halfway up the suit’s shin.

“So, which part hurt B7?” Broly asks, looking over Daiko’s shoulder but staying far enough back to not get in the way. “Is it that bar?”
“I believe so.” Daiko tells him, pointing with one of his tools at the damaged plate. “See there? Where the armor gave, but stopped short in this line? It hit this frame support bar, here, and didn’t budge another inch. Which is impressive, have to remember to give Pinach a bonus for that idea.”
“If that metal’s so much tougher than the armor, why not make the whole suit out of that metal then?” Meloka asks him, genuinely curious. You wonder that too, but didn’t opt to ask. “Why make it out of something weaker?”
“Each piece of metal has it’s own properties.” Daiko says, gesturing to the support bar running up and down the leg right to the joints. “This metal is exceedingly resistant to blunt force, but only that. it’s easily cut, easily pierced, and quite weak to directed energy. Meanwhile the metal alloy these armor plates are made from, while not quite as resistant to tremendous force, reflect energy quite well and are quite hard to cut or pierce. Go on, take a shot at it.”
cont
>>
>>4662838
“Uhhh, okay.” Meloka says, as Daiko hands her the mangled armor plate. She looks it over, then with her free hand creates a ki blade. She looks one more time to Daiko, who nods to her, and Meloka tosses it gently up. Then as the metal falls cuts upward, aiming to slice it clean in two. Instead her blade glances off the armor, it spinning over several times before falling to the ground in one piece. “Woah.”
“Durable stuff, that.” he says, as Broly’s the one who picks it up off the ground. “But it looks like we need to rework the alloy, it’s too easily bent.”

“Why is it one piece?” Broly asks him out of the blue. “The armor. Why is it only a single piece?”
“What do you mean?” Daiko asks, attention suddenly and fully on Broly. He seems a little uncomfortable with the sudden attention, but answers.
“Those robots Vox use, the battle ones. Their armor is layered.” he says, placing his hands on either side of the flattest side of the armor to try and demonstrate. “One layer of metal for one type of damage, the next for another, and another. Saw the same thing on his ships, when one got torn in half. Stupid bugs.”

Daiko simply stares at him for several moments, before digging around his pockets frantically until he finds a small device he holds up to his mouth.

“Next phase, layered armor. Repeat, layered multi metal armor. Cred Broly. Also, reinforce hands for directly punching.” he says into the device before putting it away. “Kid, you may have just given us the breakthrough we needed. Getting the armor right for these things hasn’t been very successful. But I think with your help, we might just get somewhere on these suits. Thanks a bunch!”
“Uhh, you’re welcome?” Broly replies, still seeming a bit confused. But before anyone else can speak, the room’s comms go off.

“Daiko, we’ve got a problem!” another female voice calls out frantically. “Project:Scyther has escaped it’s containment!”
“Oh no.” Daiko says, face going white as he freezes, before shouting up at the observation deck. “Start the full lockdown immediately! Don’t let that thing get off of it’s floor under any circumstances!”
“The hell’s this?” you ask, Daiko turning to you with a face full of fear. “What did you guys make?”
“A monster.” he tells you, the man shaking slightly. “And if that thing escapes, it could kill half the people on this planet.”

Well. That’s certainly not good. But you didn’t sense it’s ki above B7’s before he transformed, so it can’t be that dangerous right? Right?

This is probably something more relevant to when tech is far more advanced, but actively altering the crystal alignment if the metal via electromagnetic fields could be very good for a more adaptive form of protection. A sensor would detect what kind of threat a particular area is about to face (energy, blunt, piercing, or cutting) and align the internal crystalline structure such that it’s as resilient against that as possible.
If the covenant can create electromagnetic projectile sheaths for giant bolts of plasma, then this should be theoretically possible as well.

While true, Saiyan's as a whole won't be going anywhere, the rest of the PTO won't be able to get as strong as us, so they're experimentation is still very useful to the Empire at large. As they say, Saiyan Proofing a suit is a strong selling point.

Powerlevel* not powerless.

I don't suppose the lab is in need of an extra hand? With the end of this war arc I'd like our war kids to start picking up hobbies and I wouldn't mind Broly picking up and catching up on the literary side of things like the other older siblings. >TFW love the saiyan scientists in this quest because their basically space pirates from metroid but less obsessed with tubes
>>
>>4664805
I'd love to hang out with the Scientists more to be honest. Their technical innovations are fucking awesome and our input as a veteran combatant would be invaluable to them.
The only downside to their tech however is that it's pretty much worthless to most Saiyan soldiers right.
If they can work out stuff that's effective against threats comparable to our adjusted powerlevels, then you might see more Saiyans running around with this stuff.

True. But that changes now, as you’ll now have much more time to be with each and every one of them as they wish.

They’ll try anything, as is their directive. The scientists are PTO employed, not necessarily crown employed. I'm wondering how much can one get from intensely improving their Ki Energy control/mastery. Meloka already displays impressive things. Gotenks made sentient, orders following, talking capable, explosive Kamikaze Ghosts from Ki.
Then there is this gif. Piccolo's "Clothes Beam". Is that 100% Ki energy technique? If yes then he seemingly managed to transform his Ki into solid permanent matter. Not just into soft clothes but he even made sword out of his Ki.
>>
>>4668179
Pretty sure that’s bona fide magic, not Ki control. Both Piccolo and Kami do a lil bit of magic.
>>
>>4668217
Ok. Thanks. It kinda looked Ki like, being all yellow like a Ki blast, so I was wanted to be sure.

>Who could be angry enough, battle hungry and crazy enough to attack Saiyan's home world and the PTO soon after their greatest victory know to Universe 7?
Practically speaking in this setting all you'd actually need to do to annihilate any interstellar empire is train a few assassins to have PL's around 500k and teach them techniques that destabilize planets' cores. Then they can just quietly go to any secluded part of a planet, blow the core Namek-style, then exfil within 5 Freeza-minutes before anyone has time to respond. Bonus points if they have intel on the locations of the empire's stronger fighters and attack when they're not around.
>>
>>4668314
Or you could just launch a planet cracker ki-blast from orbit. Even somebody like Karn would just write it off as somebody training if they were to sense it.

Devilish plan. I don't know how exactly would this go on other planets, but when it comes to New Salda, we have Raven, and there are probably very few things/beings that can escape her notice, and before her there was Yoda here. To spot this kind of thing and prevent before it happens. Aren't these type of things one of the reasons that Guardians are also for? To prevent such things from going down. Remember when Kars was landing on New Salda? Yoda sensed that somebody dangerous was coming, and arrived to the location very soon (though Kars was not trying to hide then). Looking out for potential threats to the planet seems to be Guardian's job.

Though Kami from Earth is too weak to deal with 500K assassin. New Salda has also her avatar and all that, don't know how common is that.
>>
>>4668376
Obviously if somebody wanted to use this tactic on New Salda, they'd do it while our attention was diverted. They'd also have multiple operatives doing the same shit across the planet if they knew what they were doing.
However, they'd all still likely die afterwards since Berserk 3 Karn and Broly would sense them, but it would be acceptable losses after pulling off an operation like that.
If you want to start a war with the PTO, killing the majority of Saiyans is where you start.
>>
>>4668392
I feel like an attack like that is actually a pretty bad way to start said war, though. Yeah, most of the Saiyans are dead now, but the rest are filled with an unbridled rage. And what causes super Saiyans to spring up everywhere? Unbridled rage.
>>
>>4668461
I'd still say it's worth it in the long run since it drastically reduces the PTO's ability to project force or retake planets that they lose.
Honestly we should be brainstorming more ways to cripple our forces, helps us get into the mindset of people who actually want to dethrone us.
>>
>>4667248
I hope you guys are ready for this one. If it comes out how I’m hoping, we’re in for a treat.
>>4668177
Glad you enjoyed so far
A bit of context here. Soon for demons =! soon for mortals. If you remember Dabura talking with Babidi, he’d “Just” checked the powerlevels of earth 300 years ago in the Buu saga.
Leyas is trying to help in his way, and warn you. How many years ago in-quest was Demongo now? He’s saying Chilli’s in for a long struggle with that. He and Sarada were adult Saiyans, and had more than a decade of war to acclimate to the knowledge they would die one day. Meanwhile Chilli’s just a kid, a bright kid, but a kid nonetheless without that familiarity with death.
Yes.
Also yes. If you don’t have a personal recorder for good ideas, why not?
And you’ll see this coming weekend! I’ll give you a small warning, Instant Transmission won’t help you here.
Comfortably Numb’s mist is an insidiously dangerous stand. Besides the obvious obscuring, which even non-Stand users can see, it numbs those caught in it. At first you only become numb to your injuries, making you feel more relaxed. But as you stay in it the gas numbs your mind through direct skin contact, not through inhalation, until you’re simply slumped over on the ground and helpless against the Stand’s user. Who is completely unaffected by his own Stand. Imagine how easily such a Stand could have wiped even the Crusaders.
>>4668179
I will say Gotenks, besides being a Fusion and therefore insanely broken, also had the power of being a gag character.
Clothes beam isn’t ki, that’s more Namekian magic. See ToP with that duo and what they could do.
>>4668314
First you’d have to teach them to hide their ki to avoid getting found out. Second, gathering the power to break a planet isn’t instantaneous at that level, and you can’t hide your energy while doing that.
>>4668362
Depends on the direction. Anything headed TOWARDS the planet, and we’ve seen time and again how he reacts to that.
>>4668376
It works easily against the weaker Guardians. But then you’re stepping on Freeza’s turf, and will have to answer to him for it.
>>4668392
With the sheer volume of those who can not only sense ki, but have the power to stop an attempt on New Salda, there’s little chance anyone could pull such a move off. But even if they did, between Raven, New Salda, and Karn, that trio could actually STOP something like that from happening. Either by Raven’d magical means of having Karn simply start absorbing the wild-running energy through the Champion link long enough for the other two to stabilize it.
>>4668469
>Honestly we should be brainstorming more ways to cripple our forces, helps us get into the mindset of people who actually want to dethrone us.
Always a good thought exercise, and even on a micro level of just you/your family/Vegeta/Freeza.

>>
>>4668469
I imagine the best way would probably be to just reduce the saiyan's food and natural resources and also if possible and before that's, done lace several near undetectable non-ki bombs along large pto transport ships. It's be tough and your definitely getting Frieza'd but even he can't actually run back and forth between actually viable food sources possessing planets to New Salda in time once starvation begins to settle in. That said is countered by the fact we could probably IT to Golden Frieza and back despite not having mastered IT since his pl is massive so its 50/50.
Alternatively Yardrat suicide runners would be a wonderful crippling force for any army, not just us
>>
>>4669155
>Ha ha we made it so the Saiyans don't get any food
>Yo do those look like attack pods full of hungry saiyans coming to US to eat?
Aw shit
>>
>>4669169
I'd imagined a plausible threat would be planetless refugees or others with grievances against the PTO and nothing to lose going terrorist and being trained up and organized into asymmetric warfare by some competent warlord.
Thinking about it more you don't even need to destroy a planet to render it basically useless for years (the Covenant knew that well). You could run a geological survey looking for unstable sections of the mantle (like the Yellowstone caldera for an IRL example) and cause a mass-extinction event with minimal power-expense. Or, less-flashy but comparably effective, sabotage/destroy the resource-extraction sites and interstellar communication relays (if those are a thing, I forget) to squeeze resources and hinder rapid-response measures.
Something like this could be a /qst/ in and of itself. Choosing between playing it safe by smashing comms then pillaging the fringes of the empire, or having infiltration squads hit key strategic points in high-risk/high-reqard ops, or going in search of allies or artifacts in the great unknown to level the playing field.

>>4669155
>Yardrat suicide runners
Those guys would be a nightmare yeah. And a lot of the time they'd be able to teleport out after the damage is done before moving on to the next target.
>>
>>4668392
Interesting approach. If things would happen this way (nearly all warriors including the strongest ones are far off the planet) and multiple assassins attempt to make their strike.
I was thinking about one more way that Raven alone (as she is almost always here on New Salda) could perhaps try to stop it.
If she could detect those hostiles then maybe with her psionic powers/magic she could try to assault their minds. Those killers may be good for a fight, but are they prepared for an psionic/magical onslaught that targets their minds?
Maybe it would just stun them or put them under mind control, but either way they would not be in a condition to continue their mission.

Wow, they sure have different approach to time than us ningens.
>Leyas is trying to help in his way, and warn you. How many years ago in-quest was Demongo now?
It makes me feel bad we did not helped them more.
>He’s saying Chilli’s in for a long struggle with that.
It's scary what it may mean for Chilli. That one nice vacation at Megumin's home will not fix all of this. For Chilli to be troubled by this for years is really sad perspective, though maybe we will find some way to make things right. At least now Karn have time to do something else beside fighting against the Covenant.
Pic related is perhaps Chilli in a few years from now if he will be left all alone with his problems.
>Comfortably Numb’s
>But as you stay in it the gas numbs your mind through direct skin contact, not through inhalation, until you’re simply slumped over on the ground and helpless against the Stand’s user. Who is completely unaffected by his own Stand.
Yes, truly dangerous once you let yourself stay in the mist for too long. The user then comes with Covenant's Energy Blade and it's game over.
>But even if they did, between Raven, New Salda, and Karn, that trio could actually STOP something like that from happening. Either by Raven’d magical means of having Karn simply start absorbing the wild-running energy through the Champion link long enough for the other two to stabilize it.
Awesome.
>And you’ll see this coming weekend! I’ll give you a small warning, Instant Transmission won’t help you here.
I think I may guess what this means. We can't just Instant Transmission directly to it, because it masks its Ki completely. So we are going to have to do this the old school way. Searching the sealed off laboratory level with our eyes open, ears listening and senses on alert.
The monster may attempt damaging the power supply on this floor to engulf place in darkness, though our auras can provide light.
However it may even have some natural camouflage like chameleon to blend into the surroundings.
Lastly it will be intelligent, so we better not underestimate this thing.
>>4668806
>CYBER-KARN Timeline. Or ANDROID K412N. Fuck you, the 12 is supposed to look vaguely like an R.
Interesting. K4RN-DR01D?

Like a horror movie.
>>
>>4669155
Yardrat saboteurs would be highly difficult to actually stop, depending on their range.
>>4669624
Hitting comms would be a small delay, considering the ranges PTO equipment works over. However, knocking out the central comms would slow communications down to a crawl across the entire universe. And Vox would be very displeased someone wrecked his things.
>>4669750
Raven is a very capable defender of New Salda, against small numbers of threats. Without the old Guardian’s self-limiting code, and her demonic heritage’s powers she’s far more dangerous.
>>4669757
They live a long time, unless they’re killed.
And this may be even harder to hear, but Karn helped the twins more than most. Besides Nappa of course, the “big brother” figure of your group growing up. Trauma isn’t something that’s just whisked away, especially when it happens when you’re ELEVEN.
Doesn’t help that the user can control where the mist goes, up to a certain range.

That’s not how that works. His body, with all that newfound zenkai boost power was able to rebuild him in his Perfect form. No, he only has one. Since 18 got spat back up. Also, infinite energy doesn’t mean limitless energy, it’s output is only around Super Namek Piccolo/17’s level.
>>4671664
He could do so with Golden, with a whole lot of work and effort. But that’s not the case with Supervillain. Remember, it’s not just a power boost but one fueled by demonic ki. And unless you’re a halfbreed or in very specific circumstances(see Leyas/Sarada) mortals cannot generate that type of ki. It isn’t something one can just pick up like divine ki.
>>4671870
He doesn’t have Kami’s cells actually. Which is an important point, as Piccolo is a warrior Namekian while Kami is a Dragon clan. Only Dragon clan Namekians can make Dragonballs.

>He doesn’t have Kami’s cells actually. Which is an important point, as Piccolo is a warrior Namekian while Kami is a Dragon clan. Only Dragon clan Namekians can make Dragonballs.
If Kami dies the Dragon Balls stop working. This leads to some questions:
>So if Buu absorbed Kami would they remain functional?
>If Cell absorbed Kami would they remain functional?
I'm asking twice because Buu seems more magical than Cell and therefore I assume their absorption works differently.
> If Cell or Buu absorbed/ate a member of the Namekian Dragon Clan would they be able to make their own Dragon Balls then?
>>
>>4671899
He has both, as his body recreated the second one necessary for his transformation.

>>4671900
Perhaps
>>4671931
Xeno Vegeta hasn’t, as the Time Patrol’ve been busy.
When Cell drinks someone they die, but being absorbed by Buu doesn’t necessarily kill you. Like for Gohan, Gotenks, Piccolo, or Fat Buu that Buu draws power from, when he’s using you for power he does keep them alive.
>>4671937
I actually need to double check on that, as Cell is one of my weaker characters lore-wise. But when Cell nearly died 17 was killed, so it wouldn’t surprise me if his body simply rebuilt them.

“Meloka.” you say, your wife already on the move. Energy beams out from her on all sides, dozens and dozens of fist-sized ki balls shooting out from her. Within a few seconds at least a hundred of her miniature ki mines, the awarding Eyes, have filled the room. As she does this you turn back to Daiko. You need answers. “Alright Daiko, I need answers. What exactly is this Scyther project your people have been cooking up?”
“I only know what I’ve seen, and what the bioengineering guys have told me.” Daiko begins, nervously glancing around as if anything could possibly sneak through Meloka’s field of death unannounced. “The regular Saibamen, no offense B7, have over the years become less and less relevant. So they’ve been working on modifying them, altering their genetic makeups to create more advanced and deadly disposable soldiers.”

“None taken.” B7 replies, still laying on his back with the younger twins still right over him, curiously looking at and poking him.
“And so Project:Scyther was born.” Daiko continues. “The base strain was modified to no longer have hands, but instead razor sharp swords for arms and wings for faster and easier flying on planets with atmosphere.”
“Swords and wings? That’s it?” Meloka asks, Daiko’s brows furrowing a moment in annoyance at being interrupted. “Sounds easy enough.”
“That is if you can find it.” he replies. “After extensive research into their stealth tech, we have been able to modify Project:Scyther’s hard exoskeleton to mimic the stealth suits the Covenant use. And if that isn’t bad enough, we have no idea what it’s maximum potential is.”
“Wait. You made the thing, and don’t know how strong it is?” you ask him, incredulous. “How?”
“Somehow, this monster hides it’s energy signature near-completely until the moment it attacks.” Daiko tells you. “Even our scanners reveal it only has a resting powerlevel of five, but can’t process the sudden surge of power when it attacks fast enough to ever get a solid reading.”

“You made an undetectable, unseeable monster down here, and didn’t think to warn anyone?!” Meloka shouts, clearly angry now from the expression on her face and how she gets right up in Daiko’s. “What the hell are you morons thinking?!”
“The entire facility locks down in cases of crisis, we’ve already drilled for it.” he says weakly in his own defense, seeming to melt under Meloka’s blazing glare. As we’re speaking, the elevator is locked and returning to the surface. With the way it’s designed, once up top the entire underground facility is sealed off tighter than Vox’s grip on his money. However, there is one problem with this design: we’re all trapped down here with it.”
cont
>>
>>4672052
“That would be a problem, if we hadn’t nicked Cooler’s technique.” you say, meaning yourself as well as your wife too. Mentioning his bet to King Cold was one of your best decisions ever, as this technique is one of the most useful you know. “Now, how far down is this thing?”
“We’re actually two levels below the bio labs right now.” he replies. “But unless you break the seals seperating the different levels, giving it a chance to escape and cause more havoc, we can’t do anything.”
“Maybe you can’t do anything.” you reply, placing the first two fingers on your right hand to your forehead. “But I can. Mel, you coming too or staying here for now?”
“I’m staying with the kids, at least until you find that thing.” Meloka replies, her tone making it clear she isn’t leaving for anyone. You nod to her once, then close your eyes and focus on your ki sense.

At first you can’t sense anything, besides your wife and her web of power woven throughout this room. But as you frame it out, you begin getting a much clearer picture of the situation up above. On the floor directly above you the dozen or so people are scattered, each seemingly hiding and not moving around much at all. But from above them, at first you sense almost no one. But as you expand your range, what feels nearly double the distance between yourself and the closest powerlevels above you are more of the scientists. However they aren’t standing still, instead all of them are seemingly fleeing in one direction. Then one of the signals you sense abruptly vanishes, a life snuffed out. There’s your escaped monster.

“Got you.” you mutter, and vanish. One instant you’re standing in the middle of Meloka’s deahtrap, the next you appear in a dark room, several people screaming behind you. But you pay them no mind, focused instead on the monster before you. It stands about as tall as your wife, the dual blades of it’s forearms dripping with the blood of the Saiyan dead at it’s feet. But you don’t see much more than that because as you appear suddenly, it splits into five seperate beings that form a half-circle around you! “What the-?!”

You have only a split second to act, what do you do?
>Transform into your Ascended Berserker form immediately, don’t take any chances with this thing

“HRRRYAAAAAAAA!!!” you roar, ki exploding out from you as you transform. Your body expands, muscles and bones growing explosively to withstand the massive surge of power. The sudden transformation into your Ascended Berserker form blasts a shockwave from your body, you hearing the startled shouts of the other Saiyans as they’re knocked around. But you don’t take your focus off the five still creatures, and to your surprise the shockwave doesn’t knock any of them back! Instead they all begin wavering, and you realize you’ve been had! “Tch! Afterimages.”

The five illusions finish vanishing, and leave no trace of that creature behind. But as the other Saiyans all begin to realize who you are, they all rush to you.

“It’s Karn!”
“He’s here to save us!”
“But how? When?”
“Get me the fuck out of here!”
“Help us, please!”
“He killed it!”

“Everyone quiet down. It’s still here.” you say to them, your words silencing everyone at once. “Now, which of you all worked on that thing? I need to know everything it can do if I’m gonna take this thing down.”
“I-I was a part of the design team.” a young woman says timidly, partially raising a hand. She actually flinches as you turn towards her, looking like she’d like nothing more than to run away and hide again. But she manages to start talking, speaking so fast her words almost blend together. “Cutter’s a fast one, she can out-speed even B7 when he’s transformed. Her organic blades are sharp enough that they can cut right through even warship armor.”

“Wait now hold on, Cutter?” you ask, confused. “How many escaped mad science projects do you guys have running around right now? I thought I was fighting a Project:Scyther.”
“Oh y-y-yes, of course.” she says, looking admonished. “But I kinda wanted to give her a better name than it’s paperwork, and Cutter really fits-“
“Now’s not the time, Pina.” an older man walks over, laying a hand on her shoulder then addressing you. “You’re correct, that’s the one that escaped. Pina here’s just a tad more sentimental than the rest of us.”
“So is that all it can do?” you ask her seriously, everyone having crowded around you a bit too close for your comfort. “Move fast, create after images of itself, and cut things with it’s blades?”
“N-Not quite.” she answers. “Since it’s based off of both Saibamen and Hive genetics, it has a far more potent acid spray it can spit from it’s mouth, and it’s blood is the same sort of acid as well. Of course, it can also self-destruct. Or, at least we think it can. We hadn’t gotten to that stage of testing before it escaped containment. So, if it can blow up, we don’t quite know how big the blast will be.”

“Wait, that’s not it!” she shouts suddenly, startling you. “I’m the only one who saw it, but it can turn invisible too!”
“That’s enough Pina.” that stern older scientist tells her. “The General has enough to worry about without you making up nonsense for him to worry about.”
“But I saw it!” she argues, and for the first time you hear a bit of heat in her voice. “And if you were watching her half as good as you’re supposed to, then she never would have escaped!”
“Why you-!” he snarls, you clearing your throat loud enough for them both to hear you.

“Keep your voices down.” you tell them. “This thing’s still here. But I’ll handle this creature from here.”
“But what about us?” someone else shouts. “You can’t just leave us in here with that monster!”
“Yeah, get us outta here!” another shouts panickedly. “I don’t wanna die!”

“Everyone, grab on to each other.” you order, raising your right hand back to your forehead. “I can only use Instant Transmission to take us all out of here if everyone’s touching.”

They comply, everyone closing in even closer to you as you focus on Meloka’s towering ki. With her energy being second here only to your own makes it easy, and with a thought teleport back into the training room. One moment you’re in the dark, the next you’re standing with the crowd beside your wife and family, who all start at your arrival.

“Karn? Did you take it down already?” Daiko asks, voice equal parts hopeful and disappointed. “Was Project:Scyther really that little of a challenge?”
“No, it’s still up there somewhere.” you say, everyone letting go and talking to themselves, Meloka, or your kids. Your wife let’s put a disgruntled sigh, having to rearrange her mines while explaining they detonate on touch to the morons trying to touch her energy. “But I couldn’t protect them all and fight something that fast. I can make afterimages as well, but it made five of them near-instantly. If I’m not careful, that pet monster of yours is gonna do some real damage when I go back.”

And speaking of going back you again close your eyes, focusing all of your mind on your ki sense. It takes several seconds to block out Meloka’s and your own towering ki signatures, but once you do the other signals become much more clear. The ones on the floor immediately above you haven’t moved, still hiding no doubt. But above them is much more empty space, at least two floor’s worth between the ki above you, and those above them. From the next floor are only half a dozen signatures, split into two groups of three. One group is on the move, headed further away from the second group instead of moving towards them. Then you feel it, one of the fleeing signatures suddenly drop, power dipping significantly.

“Got you now.” you mutter, and once more disappear. This time as your Instant Transmission carries you to another location within the lab, the first thing you notice is the lights are on. The next is that your Instant Transmission brought you here right in the path of a descending, bloody scythe arm. You have only an instant to react, and moving too slow or indecisively will mean you get slashed.

What do you do?
>Explosive Wave immediately, knock it back away from you and the downed scientist

Also I meant instant transmission with that final flash charged without the use of a fingers to the forehead gesture.
>>
>>4672572
nah, it seems like usually each dice is for separate moments/events in a post, but I kinda remember some rolls where the second dice just determined how hard we got hurt if we failed the first. I might be wrong though.
>>
>>4672584
furthering spirit control likely confers benefits to IT since IT is just an offshoot resulting from that training style.
>>
>>4672577
The Instant Transmission Final Flash would be pretty good, but after a certain skill-level people are gonna be able to react accordingly or just outright see through what we're doing.
That said, mastery of Instant Transmission would still be beneficial so long as we don't become overly reliant on it or keep using it in the same manner forever. We gotta be creative and selective about its usage if we want to get the most out of it.
>>
>>4672602
You mean ki control? Cause if so, fraid not, GD confirmed direct ki training is what's needed to best advance ki moves
>>
>>4672602
>spirit control
From wiki (https://dragonball.fandom.com/wiki/Spirit_Control):
> "Spirit Control (...) is an advanced Ki manipulation technique known primarily to the Yardrat race.
>allows its user to achieve a multitude of potent abilities through their ki,
>including Instant Transmission (a basic ability), >Cloning,
>Gigantification,
>Healing (an advanced ability)
> and Forced Spirit Fission (an extremely advanced ability).
Looks interesting, but it requires advanced Ki Energy control/mastery to get started. So we need to improve it like Meloka does. Otherwise no chance with this. She may develop it later on her own if she keeps improving, we could decide to improve in this area too.
>>4672605
I agree with your post.
>>
>>4672638
>Cloning,
Get Meloka on this shit ASAP. We’re gonna have a harem of Melokas.
>>
>>4672638
Oh that, yeah forgot about the Super thing. If we can also improvise our own moves that may be worth looking into, but I feel Meloka and Chilli are better fit for that type of thing.
>>
>>4672646
Multiple Melokas are force to be reckoned with.
>>
>>4672657
We can do it too if we decide to go that path.

>>4672646
Impossible if Meloka isn't using the multiform technique, they will proceed to fight for top wife position, likely with lethal force.

“HRRAAAAA!” you shout, clenching your fists and focusing your power. This is risky, if his blades are sharp enough and this creature has the power, your technique may not be enough to save you. But you don’t have time for doubts, focusing your aura flared up around you and pull it towards yourself. Your ki spikes as you pour more and more energy into your aura, hardening it around you like a suit of armor. The creature’s blade swings at you, but your Unmovable Energy Body is ready. The metallic-seeming right arm blade strikes your chest, but bounces off with a shower of ephemeral sparks. This seems to startle the creature, but it doesn’t immediately back down.

“Ssssscy!” it hisses, spraying you with what you assume to be it’s acid spit. Which is confirmed as it begins sizzling against your armor, then a second later there’s an ear-piercing scream from below you. Whoever you appeared over must have been hit by a stray drop or two, screaming in agony as the others pull him back away from you. But fortunately for you the creature seems to have lost all interest in the others, entire body tensed up and ready to spring at you. Which it does, moving so fast so unexpectedly you’re sure it would have gutted you. If you weren’t still coated in your ki armor, which is fortunately seemingly unaffected by the acid as the creature goes back on the attack. “SSSSCYYYY!!”

“This creature really is a monster.” you think to yourself as it swings more than a dozen times a second. And what’s worse is this creature isn’t simply swinging randomly either. A blade to the right side of your neck then the left under your arm towards the shoulder, another right to the left ankle followed by a left to your right knee. Each blow it fires off is meant to either cripple or outright kill you, no wild strikes simply for the sake of swinging. Each and every attack is a precise, almost surgical strike meant to end you. Yet after more than a hundred strikes it tries backing off, once more dropping a slew of afterimages. But this time, in the light you can see it try and flee.

“Oh no you don’t!” you snarl, ending the technique and leaping after the bug-like monster. You see it heading for an unevenly-cut, triangular hole in the ground and realize how it’s been getting around. But you’re not letting it escape you this time! “HAAAAA!!”

Roaring in challenge you fire a beam of emerald energy, but the creature starts flying back and forth erratically and narrowly dodges your attack. If you don’t hit it now, it could escape! So in a last-ditch effort you again gather your ki, and instead of a beam fire off a Scattershot!
cont
>>
>>4672684
But it wasn’t enough. Between the dozens of balls of emerald ki, somehow “Cutter” as that one’d named this creature dodges between your blasts and slips down into the hole. You rush right up to it, and are greeted with darkness. Only a faint light from this floor goes down into the hole, after three or four feet all you can see is darkness. But now you have a real problem on your hands.

What do you do now?
>Rush down there after it now while it’s running away, using your aura for light to try and see it to get another shot
>Back off, go back to the three you’d just teleported to and get them away to safety

Closing your eyes as the beat of the creature’s wings fades off into the darkness, you power out of your Ascended Berserker form down to a ‘regular’ Berserker. Controlling this combination is hard enough, but you haven’t even tried from Ascended. And in a situation like this, it’s best not to experiment.

“New Salda, I need you.” you think, opening your connection to your planet. As you do power surges throughout your body, nearly returning you to your Ascended form’s power. But more important than that, as you become linked with your home, your awareness expands exponentially. With a thought, the limits on your ki sense vanish, and you can sense everything. Every single living being now appears to your senses, from the giant Oozaru above ground stomping around to each individual blade of grass. Including the winged abomination flying away from you deeper underground.

“You wish to exterminate that creature than should not be, yes?” the planet’s thoughts boom into your mind. “Then I shall lend you my aid, my champion. Rid me of that abomination, that affront to nature.”
“Thanks, now let’s do this.” you reply, focusing in on the suppressed energy of the creature. You gather your ki into twin points in your eyes, and unleash it with a “HAAAAAAAA!!”

Down into the darkness your beams go, glowing defiantly in the shadows below. But as you feel your attack closing in, suddenly the creature changes directions. But trying to evade will bring it no safety, you’re locked on now!

“Nice try.” you mutter, as your Guided Eye Beams change direction as well. A second later you feel your beams hit, both piercing through the creature.
“SSSCYYYY!!” it howls, fury and pain mixing into it’s screech. But you’re not done yet, again redirecting the beams back towards the creature. It’s clear to you that it doesn’t see them coming back, your beams again finding their mark as it screeches again. But as you redirect your beams again, it’s faint energy signature suddenly splits! Instead of one creature you sense five, choosing a target closest to where it was when splitting and piercing through it with your beams. But a second after you do that signature ends, along with three others as the last retreats deeper down.
“Dammit.” you mutter, ending the attack. Now that it knows what your beams can do, it won’t be as effective now. But you did injure it, and although you don’t know the extent of the damage, no doubt you made it afraid.

But what now?
>Try and Instant Transmission right behind it now, and attack the creature before it even realizes you’re there

It just so happens that we're in a research facility known for developing infantry weapons.
Failing that, we could always go to our personal armorer. He did good work on our scabbard for the Wolf Knight Sword, so he must have some knowledge of how to customize weapons like this.
And even failing that, Bane would definitely know how to make a handle fit for a proper weapon.
>>
>>4673053
True, but I'm betting big money on New Salda being able to work some magic through the blades. Maybe make them a conduit for ki

“You’re not getting away that easily.” you say, bringing your right hand back to your forehead.
“I’ll block out all the other signals for you, my champion.” New Salda’s thoughts boom in your mind. And then there’s nothing, only yourself and that creature appearing in your ki sense. “Does this help?”
“Of course, thanks.” you reply telepathically, focusing on the creature’s movements. It’s clearly fleeing, but every three or so seconds the creature suddenly changes direction. No doubt trying to avoid a repeat performance of what just happened to it. This creature is learning. You feel it come to a stop, and that’s the moment you strike. Once again you use your Instant Transmission, teleporting right behind the creature as it tries cutting through another wall. And from the two heated slash marks you already see, Project:Scyther is only a single strike from escaping somewhere else. So as you appear, with your left hand you grab it’s upper left arm, keeping it from swinging.

“Scy-?” it exhales, turning around confused, but it never sees you coming. With your right hand you chop, mirroring it’s own opening blow, and strike with the ridge of your hand on it’s neck. Hardened exoskeleton crunches, your backhanded chop slicing clean through the monster’s neck. The creature’s head goes spinning, acidic blood spraying from it in every direction as it falls. Meanwhile the neck is doing the same, acidic blood pumping up and out in dangerous squirts. So you let go of it’s arm and take a quick pair of steps back, avoiding the acid sprays. It’s body remains standing for several seconds, before it suddenly just slumps over, collapsing in a heap. You feel the creature’s suppressed ki vanish entirely, and the steady pumping of blood out of the body is replaced by a steady slow flow. It’s over. Or is it?

“Daiko, it’s Karn.” you think to him, suddenly very, very worried as you watch the creature. “I killed it, but I have to know: is this the only one? There aren’t multiple of these things down here, are there?”
“No. Unless someone’s been doing unauthorized work and somehow wasn’t discovered, there is only one of them.” he tells you, which somehow doesn’t ease your nerves. “I’ll go ahead and end the lockdown, and have the clean up crew head towards your location. You wouldn’t mind staying there long enough for B7 to lead them to you, would you? That acid could cause a lot of damage if we let it sit around untreated.

Well?

“I’ll wait here.” you tell him telepathically. “But with all the damage this thing’s caused, your people have a long job ahead of them. It used it’s blades to cut right through the floors, that’s how it’s been getting around.”
“What? That’s impossible.” he replies. “The floors are specifically resistant to being slashed apart.”
“Well, when your guys get here, they’ll see it was two cuts through this interior wall.” you answer, floating over to it. But as you get closer, you notice something’s wrong. Then it hits you: the cuts it made in the wall are still slightly smoking. Leaning closer you take a sniff, and recoil immediately as the fumes burn your nose and shout. “Gah! Shit, that burns!”

Shaking your head you back off, instead turning to the limp body and grab it with your telekinesis. Carefully you lift it into the air, holding one blade out towards you. And sure enough, barely visible you see that acid glistening and reflecting off the light of your aura. You then drop the body and reconnect with Daiko telepathically, to report your discovery.

“So I figured out why they work so well.” you think at him. “It’s blades are covered in it. That acid it spits and bleeds, it’s swords’ are actually covered in the stuff. I bet that’s how it broke out.”
“It wasn’t designed for that, last I checked.” Daiko tells you, but through the mental link feel his unease at this revelation. “I believe I’m going to have to be much more involved with the genetics division for the immediate future. And keep something like this from happening again.”
“Sorry about your people, I know how that can hurt.” you say, trying to console him. “If you need help with anything, really, just let me know.”
“I won’t forget your help today.” he tells you. “Had you not been inside, we would have had to resort to the Last Bedtime protocol. Luckily you were here, your teleportation really saved the day.”
“Don’t worry about it, happy to help.” you answer, a sudden thought springing up in your mind. “Hey, remember that puzzle box the old man left? I haven’t made any progress with it, is it something you want back to try and crack?”
“No, at least not for the near future.” Daiko answers. “I have enough impossible projects to manage, without another one silently taunting me. Knowing him, it was either something completely groundbreaking, or a completely redundant piece of tech built entirely differently. If this place ever slows down though, I’ll be happy to take a crack at it again.”
“You ever want it, it’ll be on the ship.” you answer, ending the link. You then thank New Salda, powering down out of your Champion Berserker form as you reach out to Meloka.

“Got the bug, we’re clear.” you tell her telepathically. “Just waiting here for B7 to lead the cleanup crew to me, then we’ll head back out of here.”
“Already a step ahead of you.” she replies, you feeling her energy passing by your own as it rises up towards the planet’s surface. “We’ll meet you outside.”
“See you there.” you reply, creating a ball of ki in your hand to begin looking around the area. Since this space seems to clearly be used for storage, you start wandering around a little bit and looking at things. Walking up to a rather large crate you pop it open, lifting the wooden lid and seeing something completely surprising: dozens upon dozens of the Covenant’s energy grenades are packed into this box! If one going off causes the others to detonate as well, there’s no telling how much damage this one crate can do. Curious you open the one beside it, and feel your blood run cold. Stacked carefully in their own little clear containers, are hundreds of the Covenant’s pink exploding crystals. Remembering the pain they caused, not only to you and your wife but in that terrible future that Future Chaya came from too leaves you trembling in rage. You’re tempted to smash the box, and blast those crystals into oblivion, but with a sigh manage to restrain yourself. They’re clearly being cautious with them, and hopefully someone in this building is developing armor that can stop this awful weapon. You start lowering the lid, when out of the corner of your eye think you see something move. Without hesitation you drop the lid, whirling towards your left and take your fighting stance, ready to fight another of those creatures. But instead of another giant scythe-armed bug, it’s just B7.

“Oh hey, there you are.” you say, relaxing a bit as he walks closer to you. But something about his movements seem off, and his non-answer even more so. “B7? You okay? And where is the clean up crew?”

B7 still doesn’t answer, you leaping back and flaring your aura up.

“Don’t fuck with me, I’m not in the mood for pranks.” you say, and your jaw drops as before your eyes B7 changes. His entire body distorts and expands, and within a second you find yourself staring at...you. Standing there before you, every scar where you remember and your double even takes your fighting stance.
“Don’t fuck with me.” it says, copying your voice too and causing a shiver to run up your spine. “I’m not in the mood for pranks.”

What the hell is going on?!

That space pirate son of a bitch, they even had a self-destruct for the base, huh? I'm just glad the building wasn't rigged to explode after we beat the boss.

I want to see it copy Karn so he has a goofy as fuck face.

Thanks for the run GD, and yeah this was pretty rad.
Bet you this thing just copies our every move, so we can probably beat it by not fighting it. Baring that just do stuff it can't see or mimic once we do it, like tk or grinder

It was a good place to end so that's fine
As far as discussion goes, I think we need to make a list of people we should really get to interacting with soon. Personally off the top of my head:
It'd be in poor form to not meet with our students after all of this
New Salda probably deserves some screen time, especially as we, her champion, weren't there for the undead rising up
Some one on one time with the Guardian would suit us well
Being a father figure for our kids, and our not!Kids(Raven, Vegeta etc.)
Aku maybe? Idk

Not quite a self destruct, it’s a bit more peaceful. But the place’s air vents can release a paralyzing neurotoxin that can put basically anything down and leave them comatose for days. Allowing an outside crew, under Vegeta’s command to then go in and clean the place out.

What is that? So Scyther while being on the loose damaged containment cells of other creatures, and this thing got loose. But what is this thing? Did they made something that can mimic others (possibly even their powers)? I'm starting to think it's not the only creature beside scyther that recently gained freedom.

FUCK ME I JUST REALIZED THIS THING GOT B7'S TEAM. YOU DON'T GET TO KILL MY STUDENTS AND GET AWAY WITH IT YOU WORM!
>>
>>4673681
Nah, probably didn't, its a Ditto, it can shapeshift into what its seen. B7 probably wondered by it before it escape, and it noticed people ignoring him.
>>
>>4673685
That is almost even more disconcerting. It'd mean that it has some real level of intelligence.

Also some pre-fight speculation, If this thing is a ditto there is two possibilities:
1. It will have our entire moveset off rip and maybe even our transformations. Can't afford to waste time killing it.
2. It can only mimic what it observes. I'm considering this due to the fact that it copied our line exactly and didn't say a thing as B7.

In either case I don't think a ditto can copy perfectly insofar as stamina is concerned. I doubt we'll be evenly matched. Then again, Karn's been fighting more powerful enemies than himself since day 1. It might have the arsenal to make us work for it.
>>
>>4673689
Well yeah, its a Ditto, one made by Saiyans at this time line.

“Okay no, fuck this. HAAAAA!!” you say, transforming into your emerald Super Saiyan form. Then to your complete shock, your copy clenches it’s fists, and does the same.
“HAAAA!” it shouts, copying your transformation then simply staring at you. Unblinkingly.
“B7, where are you?” you think out, reaching for B7’s mind. “You okay?”
“I’m fine, Karn, what’s wrong?” B7 replies immediately. “Don’t tell me it isn’t dead.”
“Something down here was walking around looking like you.” comes your telepathic reply. “And now it’s staring at me with my own face.”
“Whatever you do, DON’T attack it!” B7 replies. “It can copy your movements, even energy techniques with only a single observation!”

“Okay, so what the hell AM I supposed to do with this thing?” you ask, and almost feel B7 chuckling through the link.
“Just say, in a calm and clear voice: D177, what are you doing out of your room?” he tells you. “It knows it isn’t supposed to be out, but sometimes sneaks out to startle people with their own face. Trust me.”
“If you say so.” you answer him, then address your clone aloud with all the authority you can muster. “D177, what are you doing out of your room?”
“Ahh-awwwww.” the copy says, entire body slumping forward in seeming disappointment. But it’s incredibly disturbing, watching your body move in ways that aren’t physically possible. Yet giving that command is all it takes, the creature turning and walking away from you and into the dark. Still wearing your face and body, which is just so disturbing to you you don’t have words. What the hell else have these madmen cooked up down here? As you ponder this question, you can sense B7 approaching from the other side with maybe a half-dozen weaker ki. So you turn around, a door opening maybe a dozen feet from the almost-hole in the wall.

“Karn, there you are.” B7 says, looking around a bit confused. “Where’s D177?”
“It went that way.” you say, pointing off the direction it walked down, then turn to the body. “And there’s the other creature. Watch the wall where it cut, it’s acid is in the cuts.”
“You heard him, be careful.” B7 tells the group coming through behind him, then turns back to you. “So, tomorrow right? For training?”
“Yeah, I’ll let you know what time once it’s decided.” you say, holding out your hand. He looks at it for a moment, then the two of you clasp forearms. “See you there.”

Then letting go you once again use your Instant Transmission, leaving the labs behind and reappearing on the surface with your family. That was...an adventure.

But what do you do now?

“Alright everyone, let’s head back home.” you say, lifting off the ground. “It’s almost supper time.”

Leading your family through the skies, you all leave the labs full of mad science behind and fly back towards the ocean and your home. You lead them all back to the beach, touching down beside the waves washing against the sand. Once on the ground you begin stretching, the older four immediately realizing what’s going down and begin doing the same. Maz and Kayle look around confused, clearly wondering what’s going.

“Better stretch out you two.” you say, pulling your right arm towards your left shoulder behind your head. “Don’t want to cramp up before we all work up an appetite.”
“Ooooh!” they both say excitedly, turning to each other and wrapping their arms around by their elbows. You focus on your own limbering up, working the tension from earlier out of your shoulders and arms. But after a minute or so of everyone readying up, you flip backwards. Landing on your feet in the shallow water you take your stance, but with your left hand make a “come here” gesture. “Show me what you can do.”

“HAAAA!!” Tomitsu shouts, the twins having clasped hands and leaping for you. Tatsu on the right spins counterclockwise, slinging his sister around. But as she faces you switches that momentum, and slings Tatsu at you even harder and with more momentum than either could build by themselves. However you don’t even block the attack directly, instead deflect it aside with the back of your right forearm. The fun doesn’t stop there, as with your free left hand grab Tatsu’s right leg. “Huh?”
“Got you!” you call out teasingly, jerking them into a spin over your head for one, two, three revolutions before tossing them back where they came. You see Broly going to intercept them, perhaps to stop their flight, but can’t focus on that as another leaps at you.
“HYAAA!!” Caulifla shouts, front-flipping over her siblings as she tries going for a two-handed axe handle blow. So you raise both arms in an ‘x’, catching her blow with your guard up. Before she can back off, or go for perhaps a kick, you push her off back over your head and behind you by throwing your arms wide. “WAAAAAA!?”
“HRRRYAAAA!” Broly roars, swinging at you with a hard right. And you don’t have time to guard with your widespread arms, so instead lift your right leg and block his blow with your shin just below the knee. As he does the older twins attack, one rushing from either side with a flying kick. You block the simultaneous strikes with your forearms, but this leaves you wide open.

>>
>>4674006
“Got you now!” Maz shouts, as he and Kayle leap over Broly’s back towards your chest. And before you can free a limb to block it, they both punch you. Normally that kinda blow wouldn’t have even staggered you, but just before their fists hit, a surprisingly powerful blow strikes the back of your left knee. Caulifla’s surprise kick knocks you off-balance, allowing Maz and Kayle to actually knock you off your feet.
“Woah!” you say, exaggerating a little bit as you fall backwards into the water with a splash. You let the waves wash over you a moment, before rolling backwards back onto your feet and into your stance again. “Hey, that was some pretty good teamwork there.”

“You think that’s good, wait ‘till you see this!” Caulifla shouts enthusiastically, nodding to Broly but trying to appear subtle about it.

But what do you do?

“Show me what you got.” you answer, once more taking your stance. And the moment you do, Broly explodes off the ground. He closes the distance in a second, swinging for your head with a straight right. Which you evade easily, leaning back and taking a half-step bavk with your right foot. Broly’s fist sails harmlessly past your face, and before he can turn into another attack press your right hand to his chest. “Gotcha.”

And with a stepped-into shove and effort of will launch the oldest kid flying, Broly sailing clean off the small island headed back towards the mainland. But that doesn’t mean you get a break, as the youngest twins Maz and Kayle were right behind him.

“Haaa!” they shout, both going for your face with flying double-foot kicks. Which you dodge by sliding back with your left foot, pivoting on your right heel and letting them soar right past you. “Ah! H-Hey!”
“HYAA!!” Caulifla shouts, dropping a flying right axe kick down at your head. A simple sidestep isn’t enough to dodge this one, and instead throw yourself into a right side flip. Your arms never touch the ground, feet returning to the ground an instant after Caulifla’s kick does, the spray of sand hiding her from your eyes. But it doesn’t hide Tomitsu’s approach, the twins rushing at you together. But at the last second split apart, kicking off each other’s feet into different direction spins. Tomi spins up above you, into a straight forward punting kick for your face while Tatsu spins into a low turning kick aimed for just below your ribs. Twisting your body counterclockwise you throw yourself into another backflip, landing on your hands while still facing them both before springing back off your hands into another twisting flip back up to your feet.

Yet you’ve no sooner landed than Broly’s already back at you, swinging with a barrage of powerful blows that forces you to bob and weave between his attacks, twisting and flipping around his powerful strikes. Then you sense Caulifla behind you, twisting and dropping into a back turning kick that takes Broly’s ankles out from underneath him.

“GUH!” Broly exhales as his back hits the sand, you taking the momentum of the spin onto your shoulders and flip back to your feet. Just in time too, bouncing off the ground and twisting with a flip over Caulifla’s lunging kick.
“Too slow kiddos.” you tease, landing on your feet again as Cauli flips around back towards you. “C’mon, not gonna let your old man show you-“
cont
>>
>>4674218
And of course, as you were talking, Maz and Kayle each crash into the back of your knees. Caught by complete surprise you’re knocked off-balance, falling backwards towards the ground.

“GOT YOU!!” Cauli shouts, and slams her fist square into your chest. The blow is enough to send you crashing down, Maz and Kayle both leaping up from your legs and landing on your chest. Tatsu and Tomi both pounce on you as well, your kids laughing and giggling at having taken you down. You can’t help but laugh with them, letting them enjoy their moment of victory with you. They actually got you down, and you can’t help but feel impressed. Your kids are all strong, and will one day grow into powerful warriors into their own right. And you’ll do whatever it takes; you’ll fight any foe, god or demon, that tries to take their futures away from them.

Or it may result in a botched Karn + something abomination. Reminds me of that Karn clone we killed long time ago, he was brainwashed into "Kill all saiyans".
>>
By the way I was thinking again about cool aspects of mastered Instant Transmission and once Karn's reaches a certain level, this move becomes quite broken. Even if you know that Karn has it, and understand how it works it still will be mega hard to counter. Like this for example:
>Karn throws a right punch at opponent.
>Opponent tries to block with his forearm.
>Nearly the moment where punch is about to connect Karn vanishes.
>The same moment he appears behind the enemy landing that fist punch but in the back of enemy's head.
>Sucker punched even though enemy knew Karn was attacking.
>Opponent wants to react, maybe turn around, but Karn has already vanished again from the spot from where he delivered the hit to the head.
>Enemy senses Karn from his right side again (charging a death beam), but as he turns to deal with him Karn again disappears.
> He feels Karn's Ki behind and a little to the left.
>But before he can do something fast enough, Karn fires a death beam into his knee hitting easily from this range.
>Again Karn once more no longer stays in the same spot vanishing instantly to another location.
This move can be also paired with I think nearly every technique and move to aid it and allow using it in an unexpected way. Once you are free of the necessary "fingers to forehead" gesture and trained this enough, you can disappear and reappear instantly at any time, unexpectedly and many times during a fight.

Now if you pair this with what Broly did, the complete Ki Energy masking you then become even deadlier. Karn will disappear and reappear, but they won't be able to locate him with Ki sense, so this raises difficulty for enemies.

Downside is that it requires a Ki to lock into, so you cannot just teleport anywhere, but it must be near somebody with KI. However maybe we can push those boundaries with some creativity.
>I remember anon asked if we can Instant Transmission to Divine Dragon Force. Never tested, but maybe...
Also:
>I'm curious if Karn could spread like for a starter 10 or 15 hovering balls of Ki above battlefield, or somewhere near the where the fight takes place .
>They are our Ki hovering like Ki mines.
>Then lock onto one of them, and Instant Transmission to it.
>Then to another, and another teleporting between them.
Also:
> leave Ki ball hovering somewhere in the Tournament of Power arena
>unless somebody destroys it, we can teleport back to it if Karn gets knocked of the stage.
Do you think this could work? Maybe it could help Karn.
>>
>>4675784

True.

>Reminds me of that Karn clone we killed
>we
You didn’t kill it, remember? Your kids did.
>>4675784
Using Instant Transmission with strikes does have a pretty big weakness. Teleporting robs yourself of the strike’s momentum, so unless you’re going for a one inch punch it won’t work well.
As for Broly’s control, he’s decades away from being able to pull something like that off
Cannot IT to DDF, as it doesn’t necessarily have ki you can sense.
IT really needs a “living” source of ki to travel to. While there are workarounds, that sadly isn’t one. Cooler tried back while plotting his revenge
>>4675821
Or any of your allies, or enemies. Except for Universe 9, the weirdos.
>>
>>4676459
Couldn't you just IT to the second before you launch the strike so no momentum is lost?
>>
>>4676459
>You didn’t kill it, remember? Your kids did.
But we did. I'm talking about Evil Karn Clone from Saiyan Conqueror Quest 109. First post he appears is "3938724" Quote:
>The figure before you is a muscular, well-built Saiyan wearing a familiar suit of green armor. But what’s more astonishing is this Saiyan is wearing your face! Is, is that you?
>“All Saiyans must die.” the other you says, you feeling his ki surging upwards. Wait, this isn’t a phantom! “HAAAA!!”
>Your clone tosses an Energy Javelin right at you...
We then fight him, he turns into Emerald Oozaru, real Karn cuts his tail off, continues to fight and finally after evil clone is beaten, the real Karn summons Dragon Force and uses Dragon's Glare to drain all of his Ki ending his life this way.
Quote from his last moments (3940087):
> you can no longer sense anything from your clone. You’d sapped his strength away until there was nothing left, taking your clone’s power as your own. Ending your attack you banish your Stand, expecting the stolen power to fade away as it’d done before. But this time the power doesn’t disappear, remaining within you. It seems now that if you kill whoever you’d taken the strength from before banishing your Stand, the borrowed power has no one to return to.
>“Sorry.” you say to your clone, sighing out and turning away from him. Your body swells with power, both normal and demonic, but what do you do now?
>>
>>4676583
Nah man IT robs you of your motion. You come out of it stationary. If you were mid punch you'd pop up and have to begin moving your arm again because it would have stopped moving from the teleport.

It's not a problem with launching energy attacks but it wouldn't help with throwing blows.
>>
>>4676459
>Not gonna lie, that picture alone inspired that last encounter. That’s about how long I’ve been waiting for this.
That's very nice to hear.
I'm curious about this D177. Can he fight well? Could we do sparring with him? Can he raise his power level to match anyone observes? What is D177 actually? I guess we should come to the lab again to find out.
>What if I told you it wasn’t either of them?
I would be confused, who taught it to them. Maybe the learned on their own while dealing with bullies?
>Using Instant Transmission with strikes does have a pretty big weakness. Teleporting robs yourself of the strike’s momentum, so unless you’re going for a one inch punch it won’t work well.
Oh thanks for explaining this. I see that it will not work as I imagined, but it's good to know this now, before we make those big decisions about Karn's future.
>As for Broly’s control, he’s decades away from being able to pull something like that off
Ok.
>Cannot IT to DDF, as it doesn’t necessarily have ki you can sense.
It has God Ki and we are a mortal, but if Karn had God Ki like Goku, would he be able to sense Divine Dragon Force's Ki? I know Stands can be usually impossible to perceive by those who don't have them, but DDF is Karn's Stand. So maybe he would be able sense Divine Dragon Force's God Ki if he had his own too?
>IT really needs a “living” source of ki to travel to. While there are workarounds, that sadly isn’t one. Cooler tried back while plotting his revenge
Good to know. Instant Transmission is not so overpowered in that case, something to think about, since I assumed it could do more, but it is still quite useful regardless.

While that'd be slightly more advantageous against most opponents, it also sounds like a good way to get stuffed by opponents who severely outclass us like Beerus or Jiren.
>>
>>4676583
Yes, if you do a full punch AFTER the IT. But the teleportation resets your momentum to zero, so you can’t really combo with it.
>>4677528
I was thinking the OTHER Karn clone that the kids fought, not the one that went big green during Hatchiyack. My bad.
>>4677530
I find inspiration everywhere. Just like a certain Namek-locked warrior’s path to bower.
D177 is an ongoing experiment with infiltration and sabotage. But it’s nowhere near ready to go to testing, even though this isn’t the first time it’s escaped
Maybe they learned it FROM the bullies?
Do Stands “have” ki in the way you can perceive it? Did you sense ki from Star Platinum, or Kars’ Za Warudo?
>>4677695

Or faster ones like Dyspo or Golden Freeza, or those who can pause/skip time

>I was thinking the OTHER Karn clone that the kids fought, not the one that went big green during Hatchiyack. My bad.
I'd have loved to find a wayward Karn Clone and teach him the ways of the Saiyans.
He'd be like another son honestly. Then again Karn Jr. exists so I'm placated in regards to that. Speaking of, how's the little guy adjusting to life on New Salda? If I remember correctly this is his first time extreme gravity.
>I find inspiration everywhere. Just like a certain Namek-locked warrior’s path to bower.
I know that's a reference to something but I'm drawing a blank.
>Maybe they learned it FROM the bullies?
I guess it stands to reason that you'd have to fight as a team if you want to bully Karn's kids.
>Do Stands “have” ki in the way you can perceive it? Did you sense ki from Star Platinum, or Kars’ Za Warudo?
I'm guessing the answer here is "no". Makes sense given that they're not actually unique entities themselves.
>Or faster ones like Dyspo or Golden Freeza, or those who can pause/skip time
I'm sure Guldo and Hit are gonna have a fun match when we get there.
>>
>>4677972
>I was thinking the OTHER Karn clone that the kids fought, not the one that went big green during Hatchiyack. My bad.
No problem, mistakes happen, last thread I managed to misidentify mommy cow and her baby as bulls.
>even though this isn’t the first time it’s escaped
Looks like he wants to break free.
>Maybe they learned it FROM the bullies?
Very possible. I wonder how many bullies they had to deal with. Is that super saiyan young girl that Tatsu defeated, also bullying Karn's kids? This child that Tatsu protected, Uzai, where is he now? Did the girl got him when Tatsu was not around? Sorry for dropping this many questions. I can wait patiently till story reveals this.
>Do Stands “have” ki in the way you can perceive it? Did you sense ki from Star Platinum, or Kars’ Za Warudo?
No they don't. You are right. I was just trying to find a loophole that would allow Instant Transmission to Divine Dragon Force. It would be useful if it was possible.
There was also the factor of how unusual the origin of DDF is. The God Ki that transformed it was not ours, but from enemy ningen hating Kai in a stolen mortal body. Since sometimes Stands don't follow their usual "rules", like those that exist without user, I was hoping maybe we would be able to sense DDF and where it is enough to use Instant Transmission to it.

Speaking of Dragon Force I was thinking about how great thing is having a Stand (and a decent one on top of that, not like that Woolly Bully who was not that great). Dragon Force sure can be described as one, so when Future Chaya got it from her dad, it was a good gift.
Though I guess she is not the Stand type of person. She never uses it. Maybe if this keeps on going it will evolve into 「Forgotten Dragon Force」 or 「Forsaken Dragon Force」.
>>4678922
>Speaking of, how's the little guy adjusting to life on New Salda? If I remember correctly this is his first time extreme gravity.
With his massive starting power level it might not be much for him.
>I know that's a reference to something but I'm drawing a blank.
Me too.
>>
>>4679183
Future Chaya's 「DRAGON FORCE」may well be completely different from anything we've seen before given how it originally transformed alongside the user.
Now that Chaya's acclimated to Primal and uses it as her base form, her stand must be something to behold. Doubly so in her Apex form.
>>

>Future Chaya's 「DRAGON FORCE」may well be completely different from anything we've seen before given how it originally transformed alongside the user.
True.
>Now that Chaya's acclimated to Primal and uses it as her base form, her stand must be something to behold. Doubly so in her Apex form.
That is so awesome.

Near the final end Nefarious thought the only way to beat Karn was with another Karn.
>you'd have to fight as a team if you want to bully Karn's kids.
Especially if you go against the oldest twins. You go up with even numbers, you’re already outnumbered 3 minds to 2.
>I'm sure Guldo and Hit are gonna have a fun match when we get there.
The way their powers play off is interesting. With Hit’s Time Skip he actually disappears from time while skipping into that other dimension for fractions of a second. If Guldo’s Time Freeze hits DURING Time Skip, no matter how long Guldo holds it Hit may not be there. Or he may reappear in frozen time, still able to move around like normal. Dueling time abilities are always a trip, like Jotaro vs (anime only spoilers).
>>4679183
>Looks like he wants to break free.
Is it a he though? And as far as freedom is concerned, does it even know? Or is it simple curiousity
>I can wait patiently till story reveals this.
Good, because we’re finally in the arc where these sort of epilogues get their IC reveals, and what happened next.
>It would be useful if it was possible.
But how would, if it were actually possible mind, teleporting TO something you're physically connected to work? Just imagine how many ways that goes wrong, starting with no longer existing.
When Dragon Force is transferred, it isn’t the same Stand anymore unlike for example the clingy back-fucker that nearly killed Rohan.
Karn Jr hasn’t really noticed. Plus he’s an infant.
As for the reference, I’ll just give you and >>4678922 a name. Keman
>>4679259
>>4679200
I’ll say this, it is certainly different than the one Karn’d given her. Don’t forget, back as a Super Saiyan 3 she nearly cracked the Supreme Kai of Time’s Barrier.

And speaking of Future Chaya, from Guts Bro’s new drawing pad. Behold!

Also this week’s epilogue, if I finish it, will be a ToP set in another timeline. The plus side of writing Ultra Instinct is the one using it doesn’t have to pay as much attention to the fight and whatever their opponent is actually doing.

Pic related is Red Shenron and how I imagine Divine Dragon Force. So how would it work?
> There is a fight with enemies who's Ki we can't sense. Maybe they are super advanced deadly robots for example (so non living beings).
>Karn is fighting, but can't use Instant Transmission to do some surprising attacks/moves with it since nobody near has Ki that can be sensed.
>They are fighting above ground, in the air.
>Let's say Karn is completely surrounded by all those robots, from up and down, left and right, all sides.
>And he keeps fighting, they aren't getting upper hand, but there's great many of them.
>Karn says "Is that all you got?"
> Evil AI master mind that controls all those robots responds by making every robot say same sentence in perfect sync "You actually fell right into my trap."
>Karn instincts suddenly warn him he is in danger as every single robot begins glowing.
>He already understands even before smug AI makes robots say "Suicide destruction activated".
>Surrounded by robot-suicide bombs that will explode if he smashes through them and will blow up anyway in a second or two if he stays in place.
>Tough situation.
> But even though he seem to be not doing anything, he already summoned Divine Dragon Force the moment his instincts warned him and send it to quickly flyaway from here, between robots.
>The Dragon did this.
>Seems like Karn is trapped, but actually before explosion he uses Instant Transmission to teleport to the flying away DDF.
>Huge explosion is dodged this way.
That's how I imagine it, and it could be useful in many other situations. Since DDF is so long Karn would teleport near its head.

> teleporting TO something you're physically connected to work?
I always imagined DDF is separate, like Star Platinum is from Jotaro, not constantly connected to Karn. Do you mean by this that DDF is always linked with Karn's body like Scorpion's chain? Or like big red tentacle?
If DDF's body is constantly connected to Karn, then it is something I did not thought of.

Anyway all those things are only being analyzed like this, because I was looking for a way that would allow Karn to be able to teleport more freely. Not just near Ki signatures. Maybe in the future Karn will learn some more uninhibited form of teleportation, and all those attempts to make Instant Transmission do it will not be even necessary.

Fascinating.

I see.

>Also this week’s epilogue, if I finish it, will be a ToP set in another timeline.
Very nice, by the way the last epilogue was great, Cell getting the Golden form was awesome, finally he is showing what it means to unlock potential of "perfect organism".
Gifts from Mechikabura were very nice, he was too, yet at the same time he was scary. You know on one hand he visited with gifts and friendship, on the other he showed he knows where Towa lives and that he can casually get there anytime.
I'm shocked Ace is there, is this the first time in his life he can really think independently? That seem to be the picture from what Mechi and Fu said.
>The plus side of writing Ultra Instinct is the one using it doesn’t have to pay as much attention to the fight and whatever their opponent is actually doing.
Never thought of that this way.
>>
>>4680972
We could have accomplished the same thing by throwing out a ki blast and then teleporting to it.
>>
>>4680978
But GD said that using Instant Transmission to a sphere of Ki or a Ki blast like that don't work. It has to be "living Ki" inside a being that is alive as I understand it. Look at this post:
>>4676459
>IT really needs a “living” source of ki to travel to. While there are workarounds, that sadly isn’t one. Cooler tried back while plotting his revenge
>>
>>4680983
Hm...I wonder if we could figure out a way of doing multi-forms that don't split our Ki evenly across clones.
Something like making a somewhat ethereal Karn with 0.5% of our power.
>>
>>4680993
>Something like making a somewhat ethereal Karn with 0.5% of our power.
Interesting idea. Ghost Karn. Would he be able of going through walls?
Though multiform makes a second body or more. So it's still a body, with only 0,5% of power. He would be still touchable, visible and killable. But he could be serving as a living Ki point to which we can teleport to. Though I'm worried enemies would try to kill him as soon as he appeared, unless we leave him hidden somewhere before fight.
>>
>>4681020
I think there's a precedence for something like it at least.
Pic related, and the ghosts clearly weren't just floating balls of ki either.
>>
>>4681033
True. This is very interesting and also something different than multiform. As I understood from what GD said making a ghost like that is hard to pull off. Gotenks did it because skills of both children that made him were incredibly multiplied by their temporary fusion.
I like this ghost idea, though it would probably require a lot of learning to get close to this skill level. Even Meloka seems like she is not near this level yet.
Another question is: Would this sentient Kamikaze ghost be a viable target to Instant transmission next to?
Gotenks' ghosts explode when touched. What you said about making them ethereal is interesting, a Ki made apparition that can pass through matter. Very interesting but also sounds like something very hard to make.
>>
>>4680972
You missed my entire point. How do you teleport to something ATTACHED TO YOU? What happens to it when you vanish? The instant you disappear it does so too. So tell me, how can you teleport -to- nothing?
>>4680975
Dragon Force(in almost all forms and iterations) is physically connected somehow, generally to the user’s right arm.
>>4680977
Yes, thanks again to the anon who recc’d him.
>finally he is showing what it means to unlock potential of "perfect organism".
Just wait, someone in your timeline can do the same...
And yes. Mechikabura is the nicest, most intimidating individual currently active in this multiverse’s timespace.
Ace is free. Now what he does with that freedom, well, is up to him.
>Never thought of that this way.
Does let me be more conversation-focused, instead of hitting post limits constantly with describing blows.

Also at this point, unfortunately I’m not going to be able to finish this epilogue before this weekend as I’ve only gotten five posts in. Have had some serious writer’s block this week, didn’t finish the first post until last night. But hopefully that doesn’t happen mid-thread this weekend, which we’re still on schedule for! As of right now, episode 152 will start Saturday at noon EST.

Hey GD, before you're occupied tomorrow, quick question.
Do you have a list of Karn's most prominent scars?
Anything you would make sure to include if you were drawing the character.
>>
>>4682317
I’ve left most up to anons, remembering the damage from past battles that didn’t get healed immediately. But the two most prominent are still the left cheek scar, which I still haven’t revealed how he got, and the large chest scar from getting punched through the chest by Mira.
>>
>>4682326
>which I still haven’t revealed how he got
I'm willing to bet it's related to the Tuffle Genocide.
>>
>>4682330
>tfw it was actually a shaving accident at the age of seven
>>
>>4682415
>Kid Karn saw Tatsu barely dodging Tuffle bayonets just to trim his beard
>shenanigans ensue
>>
>>4682421
I've found that the elderly most hung up on saftey tend to have done the dumbest shit. I'd believe Papa Tatsu was a daredevil.
>>
>>4682476
Of course he'd have a habit of almost dying on the regular.
Where else do you think Karn got it from?
>>
>>4682526
Apparently, his mom was the big protector type. Tatsu was just ballsier then most.
>>
>>4681253
>You missed my entire point. How do you teleport to something ATTACHED TO YOU? What happens to it when you vanish? The instant you disappear it does so too. So tell me, how can you teleport -to- nothing?
When it's attached, then it is indeed a problem, but I though DDF is separate.
>>finally he is showing what it means to unlock potential of "perfect organism".
>Just wait, someone in your timeline can do the same...
"Can do the same" as if right now already, in the present current time. But you phrased it in a way that makes me unsure if it meant that someone "has ability to o it" or "has ability to do it and already did it", but perhaps clarifying this would be too much of a spoiler.
It is most probably not the Cell from our timeline. Due to us altering history of canon Dragon Ball, the events that led to creation of Cell are likely never to happen, and if Gero still decides to start Cell project it will be completely different creature, because he will not have genetic material that made canon Cell, he will have to use something else.
I have one suspicion about who it is Kars, and if it is not that person then it maybe it's somebody we never heard of.
Perhaps our multiple actions and alterations of history has led to somebody different attempting to make a perfect weapon and a genetically engineered warrior in one. Why? It could be somebody with a grudge against Saiyans and PTO. I mean we fought a lot of battles, somebody might wants revenge.
>>4681425
No problem, don't force yourself to this. It's fun for you and fun for us. This is not a job you have to do. We understand and we can wait for you to write it when you want to.
