Radiant sways softly as his wings buffet the air, bearing our weight with ease as we head towards the moving object.

Well, like Majin and Succubus, he is an 'hybrid', flying using magic and using his wings mostly to maneuver and as thrust. Our harpies are pure physical players, though, so they are both petite and very light, with huge (relative to size) wings.

Well, bird's wings are typically three times as long as their bodies, anyway, so Radiant's wings being only as long as his body is a clear give away as to the fact that he's not a 'natural flyer'.

We are greeted with flags on the poop deck, and bid to land. Radiant is not a small being, bu rather, large enough we cannot let him out as often as we'd like, and yet next to the LEV(itating)FOR(tress), it looks like a tiny remora attached to a whale. The levitatin fortress' cannons are dormant, but the harnessed elementals are restless, and their excess energy is channeled out and to the sides in gouts of flame, adding to the defenses of the mega structure.

Our redhead hops down as gracefully as if she was weightless, her clothes blooming apart for a moment before everything falls back into place as she stands waiting for us, and as soon as we step off the saddle of our mount, we are guided to the bridge.

It takes us 15 minutes to reach it.

The alquian general greets us formally, and requests instructions, and a liaison to the city defenders...

Unrelated to anything, but a huge expansion for Conan Exiles came out called Island of Siptah, and of course since its an island, I decided to build Eldric's manor.
Which style should I use? Eldric's family roots are more greek/roman, but the manor was built in the Jade Islands so a more asian feel seems proper, too.
Oh, there's also dark gothic style but I doubt the manor would be in that style

Well, I decided to go with an asian flavor for the manor. Going with this as a model.

Well, we love our kittymouto, but the invasion is right around the corner, so we need to know what sort of forces are arranged against us.

Zoe is extremely smart, she will understand it was the right thing to do. And so, we rush to the lab, and find Portia and the rest of the 'control room staff' glued to their readings and the 'screen' as the probe rushes towards the portal and breaks in.

We get to see a wall of black and silver-blue, before moving closer and realizing its a mass of [ERROR]s so thick it looks like a wall from afar.

The silver-blue is some sort of eldritch energy that runs over them, probably due to the extreme proximity of so many of their kind. Thankfully, they are not attacking the probe, but as we move along the 'army', it takes us almost 5 minutes to reach its edges.

And if it sounds fast, remember we are seeing through the 'eye' of a probe fast enough to reach the gate in low orbit in a matter of minutes. This is a truly large swarm.

It feels kind of small as a 'base' though, so will need to expand it to make room for a smithy, furnace room, woodworking room, greenhouse, animal pen, stables... yeah, gonna have to build a whole lot more, but I think this is good as the 'house' area. Or maybe just a wing of the manor, I guess.

Somewhat tempted to making the workshop areas into simpler material, just so those look more 'properly rugged'. Kind of awkward to have the furnace room (to melt ore into ingots) be of the same quality as the bedrooms, I think.

I placed a bunch of oil flasks and candles there, and as stuff pops up (enemies sometimes drop the weirdest shit. Why is a dog carrying around a black candle, for example?), I'll place it around the complex. Makes things feel more organic, I think.

Also, decided to split the garden into orange/pink and green sides, which should give it an interesting look and we can say "red/green" wing to refer to a side of it.

Lyann wouldn't know, but she's there' so she can certainly find out, I guess. Also, remember we can't have children with beastkin, elves, dwarves, etc unless we're married to them.

I thought about using the term kept-woman, but then changed it to mistress since that seems more context and period-appropriate.

A person you sustain by paying for his/her housing and other needs plus luxuries and such, in exchange for sex/company. Well, its probably a language thing, but 'mistress' for me means something like you are sleeping with a married woman, so I thought about using kept-woman, but then thought that in English, and based on the time-period context, mistress was probably better in English.

I mean, both Yin and Yang work and pay for their own stuff right now, so we're not really paying for sez, so its hard to use the term mistress in this time-period context, either.

Courtesan? Concubine? Honestly, it would be easier to classify them if we made them slaves or pets. I'm 101% open to suggestions, though.

After thinking about it a bit more. Almost certainly not. Remember is a matriarchal society, so maybe they have a position for a kept-man, but as women, they (Ying & Yang) probably cannot conceive of such a position themselves.

The modern usage of mistress is more for a woman who has an extramarital affair with a married man.

I would suggest this distinction for Eopolis society:
Concubine: formal position for a woman in a household; basically a wife who is not the Prime Wife. She has some authority in the household, and her children are secondary in line for inheritance.

Mistress: Does not have a formal position in the household; just has her living and luxury expenses paid for in exchange for companionship.

Mantequira is a matriarchal society, so it's more likely that the woman is head of the household and might have multiple husbands. In that case, I suggest:
Consort == Concubine: whether there is a Prime Husband, or the Consorts are all equal, is probably up to the Woman of the House, since inheritance is matrilineal.
