When Jens visits, you are a little giddy - after all he's a dragon trainer, and you've always found him to be the cool one at Christmas and birthdays. It's been a couple of years since you've met him now, but once he arrives he still greets you with the usual warm smile.
-"I heard you were finally going to head out into the world and become a trainer, took you a while, hah" He says with a little sting, well knowing that your parents kept you back. He became a trainer at 13, about average for when people get their first pokemon on their own. He's in his mid twenties now, so you've really just known him as a trainer.
-"Well, you know my parents, always the protective, yeah" You sigh a little, but quickly regain your composure, after all, this is not the time to be bored. You're getting outa here now!
-"Yeah, but trust me, you'll have to stand on your own feet from now, thankfully, this guy right here will be at your side! She's stubborn, but she's got lots of heart!" Jens explains, and takes out a pokeball, and hands it over to you.
-"Just register it over to your dex, and she'll be yours from now on, Jane" he adds. You stumble for a moment, before fishing out the dex from your thin jacket. The pokeball flashes red in confirmation, and your dex lights up with a "transfer complete" and two numbers, which you assume is Jens' and yours. You feel a little timid as you hold it in your hands, before activating the pokeball.
In a white flash, a Bagon appears. it looks a little confused at first, looking at Jens, and then to you. Still, it seems to trust you enough to stand at your side, and Jens addresses the Bagon to tell her that you are now her trainer.

"That's a bagon, a hardy little one, but proud with an desire to battle. With a drive to be the best, I think you two will get along very well" He said, smiling. "What are you going to do now? I assume you will be heading for the Leauge challenge? If so, I suggest heading to westpoint. The gym there is somewhat of an introduction to the basics of battling, and there should be other new trainers there!"

Why it's called westpoint? Its the first of mainland when you are traveling to the west.

"Hey, Travolta" You say to the small dragon pokemon infront of yourself. It peeks up towards you, the glare firm. It holds it for a little bit, before nodding. You're a little suprised at how content the dragon is, but you smile at the Bagon.
"Well, it seems to accept you, and that's a good start. Many dragon pokemon are very adamant in their personality. On the other hand, once they trust you, they will protect you with fierce intent." He pauses a bit, before he continiues; "Well, have you decided where you're going?"
"Yeah, i'm heading north first. I think it would be nice to see the forests, and perhaps even explore Barania too. "
"In that case you will pass by Branford, be sure to stock up on supplies there, you can find a lot of stuff in the markets, and perhaps challenge the psychic gym. Erik is pretty tough, so don't beat yourself up if you lose. The key is strategy, and finesse, or so I heard. Not that I've beat him myself!" he exclaims, and bursts out in a thunderous laughter, more akin to something you'd hear from a roughdry sailor. Frankly, you're a little surprised at the outburst.


Still, you decide that since it's early in the day, you should leave now. You say farewell to your parents, and after a bit of bickering, and some coldness from your side, you manage to get untangled from your parents warm embrace. Jens stays, apparently he wants to catch up with your parents too, considering how long it had been since he was there, you're a little bit glad for your parents sake.


You travel down route 505, keeping Travolta at your side. You're actually surprised how she can match your walking pace with her stubby legs, even in the warm midday sun. still, You feel a little bit off, shouldn't you be battling, catching pokemon and so on?

Your mind wanders astray soon enough, and you feel as if you should do the same - After all, its not about the destination, it's the journey there. You remember that there is a small pond, and that it usually attracts pokemon, and with a little luck you might even battle or catch some.


The walk down to the pond takes only a few minutes, and it's easily found due to the trees growing nearby, compared to the relatively dry terrain surrounding it. Once there, you take in the scenery; despite having been there many times before, its quite stunning. You see a couple of buizel at the edge of the water, and you briefly consider approaching them, before you are approached on your own. A nincada creeps out from the bushes beneath a tree, and apparently it's startled by your footfalls. Thankfully, you got your bagon at your side, but before you can even call out what to do, the nincada has sprayed sand at you, lowering your accuracy.
