The world is rotten. It was always in a cycle of decay and regrowth but as of the past few generations there has been no resurgence, no fertility, no means to make a living as one use to. Forests now lay as barren wasteland, rain hasn't been seen for many cycles, and worse yet rumors of the 'original rots' have been cycling among realm denizens. Rot comes in many forms, and all is a means to cull the world of life in an attempt to jumpstart the cycle once more, all save the latest rumors. A new form of rot that cannot be seen, smelled, or felt until it has already claimed life. This unearthed rot is referred to as 'death rot' for that is all one can describe it, or so the merchants surmise. Speaking of peddlers, when was the last time the hive saw one passing through?

>Skirmish games are a form of collaborative effort not only between processor and the thread, but also between one another in an attempt to fulfill a story and explore the world 'board' set before them by the QM. Fight, loot, craft, and enjoy company while attempting to survive harsh environments and impossible to complete tasks by taking advantage of rules established throughout the course of play.

Yes. The only real means of character customization outside of choosing the name is picking one of the skills from the four available.

>Is there a naming scheme you'd like us to stick to?
There are in-world naming schemes yes, but you don't need to adhere to them for the sake of play. Since you asked I'll drop the general guidelines I have on my end for NPC's.

•Leafcutter drones are first name [combat role] last name [service specialty]. For example two NPC's who the party will be meeting are called 'Armoured Courier' and 'Cavalry Carpenter'. Names are only used while conversing with non-drone species as they can 'talk' easier through body language with one another.
•Grasshoppers tend to avoid both long sounds and syllable names. They also prefer giving nicknames to anyone who holds a name longer than theirs, which is quite often outside of hopper lands.
•Soldier ants are born en masse, and are often given names from their sitters as they watch the larvae grow and form bonds among their brethren. Mixed species nests will often have a wide range of culturally significant names, and obscure references.
•Isopods are often given 'tough' sounding names as the resistance provided by their chitin is their most significant means of identity. Some sitters will give them names that befit speed, or might, but even these tend to give the image of a powerful bug.

It isn't that large of an issue currently, but if you want to be able to retain your character between threads you'll do well to include [[#] Name #tripcode] in the name field of posts, first set of brackets removed of course. This will allow both myself and other players to ensure that you're the same anon and not someone attempting to take over your character.

That aside you'll need to pick either Air Raid or Frenzied Strike as your starting skill, as you are starting at lv1. You also begin play with a second Stinger in your inventory, if you ever have the need to use it. Once both of these have been addressed you're cleared to >Deploy and even >-Labor!

Taking point is the notable Cavalry Carpenter, carrying his chisel and shaver block as is tradition. Behind him stacked to the brim with gear and holding a buckle shield is the Armoured Courier.

"Listen up! To all LOYAL Hive: Armoured Courier is to do trade with the train yonder South & East! We are to act as escort. Queen's orders! Rush order! If we are to avoid any unwanted hostilities from potential lurking threats, we are best to avoid the gaze of train light to the Southeast and make our way through the remains of the train yard to our South.
