/qst/ - Quests

Were you to travel the stars, across this vast universe, no doubt tales of a mighty warrior race would reach your ears. Many speak of the Saiyans with awe and wonder, marveling at their power and aspiring to become like them. Others speak in hushed tones, of the fear and despair in facing the warrior race in battle. But one thing all agree on, is that standing against the might of the Saiyan race would spells certain doom. Many have tried, several going as far as to invade the Saiyan’s homeworld of New Salda. Yet every invasion has failed, defeated by the Saiyans and their most powerful warriors: the golden-haired Super Saiyans, and the green-haired legend who leads them. But once more they march, leaving their home behind and advancing into the heart of their enemy’s territory. Which side will triumph, and who will perish?

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, the story of an alternate timeline in the greater Dragonball world. Currently it is Age 749 and you the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the radiant symbol of Saiyan might. Now as a PTO general with a powerlevel of 24,819,000 and close friend and confidant of Lord Freeza himself, Karn has become one of the strongest beings in the entire universe.

>20 minute voting windows, pick ONE option when voting(unless otherwise noted)
>Dice rolls are all best of three, only correctly rolled dice pools will count
>Crits are 100 on a d100(a 99 or paired rolls may net you an extra bonus)

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After using Instant Transmission to teleport into one of the fortresses of Ealen IV, Karn quickly dispatched a group of Sangheili before teleporting into a trap. But the Stand Nicotine Bomb and the half-dozen worm monsters weren’t able to stop him, Karn dispatching them and the entire base before learning the Covenant had set yet another trap. Between this planet and the Lucrehulk, a Covenant fleet was hiding out and ambushed the injured Saiyans fleeing the battle, killing all four. Frenzied, Karn demolished the other five bases, then returned to his other soldiers and telling them the somber news. But vengeance was served, Lord Freeza himself left the Lucrehulk and attacked the fleet, destroying it completely before flying to Ealen IV himself to give the all clear. After a brief celebration everyone returned to their pods, flying back to the ship with Freeza himself flying vanguard.

The return trip itself is uneventful, those with moderate injuries heading off to the medics while the others either go to eat, train, socialize or sleep. Which you leave them all to it, flying from the Lucrehulk’s left arm to the central core where your quarters are. And sure enough, as soon as you come into the room, Meloka is there waiting for you.

“Hey hun, how-?” she begins, stopping when she meets your eyes. Her expression shifts, wordlessly floating up off the lounge chair and giving you a surprisingly tight hug. Then, her mouth beside your ear she whispers. “What happened?”
“We...Lost a few today.” you reply, Meloka pulling back and looking you in the eyes, concerned. “It wasn’t in battle. They were injured, so they were put back in their pods and sent back here. Except, they never made it. A Covenant fleet was somehow waiting, and intercepted them. They never stood a chance.”
“Those bastards!” your wife fumes, clenching her fists and slightly trembling from rage. “Who?”
“Morka, Michi, Espina, and Gamja.” you tell her sadly. With the enemy killed, and no one to turn your rage on, you’re just swamped with sadness. They weren’t your best students, or the most outstanding or even troublemakers. But each one of them put their trust in you, and for that they paid the ultimate price. You’ve lost people in battle before, but death hasn’t hit this close to you, and really stuck, since you were a kid living in the village.

How do you cope with this?
>Go to base form, crank a gravity chamber high as it goes, and push yourself until collapsing
>Eat and go right to bed, try and sleep it off
>Spend some time meditating, try and work through their loss and accept it

“I just...Just need some time with this.” Meloka says, you nodding to your wife as you both seperate. She was just as attached to those students as you were, and no doubt needs to work some anger off. And as she leaves the room, heading off upstairs towards your bedroom, no doubt she’s going to handle this her own way. So you do the same, going over to one of the many seats and sitting down, crossing your legs. Resting the backs of your hands on your knees, you close your eyes and take a deep breath. Relaxing your body as Raven’d taught you, you clear your head and reach out telepathically to someone who will understand.

“Hey, old man. You awake?” you ask, thinking to your father. And unsurprisingly he’s awake, answering immediately.
“Karn? What’s going on?” he asks, sensing your concern. “Everything alright?”
“No. No, it’s not.” you reply to him, heart heavy. “We’ve...Had some casualties. Since heading out, Meloka and I’ve been teaching several other Saiyans. But, despite my best efforts, we had casualties. Four of them were injured, and sent off the planet we were invading back to the Lucrehulk. But they were intercepted, the Covenant somehow moved a fleet between us and the ship. And as my students left my sensing range they were attacked, slaughtered before they even knew what was happening. And if it wasn’t for Freeza, we would’ve suffered even more casualties. I... I couldn’t protect them. They trusted me, and yet-“

“They didn’t join you for your protection.” Tatsu says, interrupting you. “These students of yours. They didn’t train with you day after day for you to treat them like your children. They don’t want your protection, Karn. They want your recognition. Your students have doubtlessly worked hard, pushing themselves past their limits so you would acknowledge their strength, and treat them not as weaklings, but as peers. They want to fight alongside you, not only behind you.”
“I...Never even considered that.” you admit, rather sheepishly. “I was so wrapped up in thinking I had to protect everyone, I never even considered what they thought.”
“At least now you’ve acknowledged your mistake.” Tatsu replies, you feeling his confidence in you radiating through the telepathic link. “And now, you can do better, be better. Now, the next time you call, you’d better have their leader’s head, got it?”
“I will!” you reply, your shattered confidence rebuilding itself as your will hardens for what will come next. “We should be getting close now.”
“I know you’ll win this, for all of us.” he says. “Ruco’s proud of you boy. Never forget that.”
“Wait, huh?” you ask, confused by Tatsu suddenly dropping your mother’s name. But before you can say anything else he ends the link, seperating his mind from yours. The hell?

Shaking your head, you stand back up and eat a quick bite before heading upstairs to yours and Meloka’s room. You knock before opening the door, hundreds if not thousands of tiny energy balls flying every which way around the room. In the middle of this storm sits Meloka, your wife controlling all this energy seemingly with ease. But as you come in she calls it all back, the energy coalescing into a single, incredibly-dense sphere before she reabsorbs it back into her hands. You walk over, picking your wife up and carrying her to bed as you explain your conversation with Tatsu and his advice. Which Meloka considers carefully, the two of you getting in bed and sleeping on it. Your rest is deep and peaceful. That is, until in the middle of the night you suddenly find yourself awake.

One moment you’re fast asleep, the next your eyes are wide open, staring into the faint glow of the lights barely illuminating the room. Meloka’s still here in your arms, still sleeping peacefully and snoring ever so slightly. But why are you awake? Why now?

Well? What do you do?

“Meloka, get up hun.” you whisper, shaking her gently. “Something’s wrong.”
“Mrrrhrrmmm?” she mumbles, rolling over towards you but not opening her eyes.
“Meloka.” you say, voice serious and even. At this her eyes snap open, your wife looking right at you.
“What’s wrong?” she asks you telepathically, eyes wide open now. She hasn’t moved again, but you can feel the tension in her body.
“I don’t know.” you reply while extending your ki senses. “But something’s wrong. I was sound asleep, but just suddenly woke up.”
“Is it just me, or is it cold in here?” she asks aloud, pulling the sheets up over herself alittle more. And as she says this you realize she’s not wrong, in fact blowing a small cloud on your exhale. “The hell?”

“Karn, look.” Meloka says, gesturing to the clothes you both left on the floor from the day before. And to your surprise, they’re actually covered in ice. In fact, everything in the room besides your bed, you, and Meloka is frozen solid! The walls, floor, and ceiling are all covered in a thin sheet of ice, but what’s really concerning is the door to your room is open. Frozen halfway open, a chill runs up your spine not related to the cold. Something, or someone, was probably here in your room. Or even worse, they could still be here.
“Shhh!” you tell her telepathically, straining your ki sense to try and find whoever’s responsible. Meanwhile Meloka quietly creates a softly-humming ball of ki, raising it overhead before it splits into a dozen smaller, fist-sized balls which all begin orbiting her head. Meanwhile you don’t sense anyone out of the ordinary, no unfamiliar ki giving you a target.

So what do you do?
>Get out of bed, then go over and grab your sword. You may need it for whatever’s here
>Telepathically reach out to Arctus, check to make sure this isn’t some sort of failure in the atmosphere systems

I think it's an enemy Stand.
>Summon Divine Dragon Force to see if this kind of coldness can affect our Stand too, and the dragon will look around too.
Let's get out of bed too and transform at least into Legendary Super Saiyan to get some light from the emerald aura (lights might not work fully properly now). And not stay in bed any longer. I think Karn needs to move, otherwise we might not notice that we are already being frozen to the bed.
>If things do not turn into intense combat immediately, then let's contact our friends. They might be in danger from this strange cold too.

“Keep an eye out for me?” you ask, Meloka nodding as you shift your focus. Reaching out telepathically, you get ahold of the one person who may be able to help you figure this out. Arctus. “Hey, you awake?”
“Huuuuh? Ooooh, Karrrn!” he replies, and from how his thoughts are coming through, there’s no doubt he’s already pretty slammed. “H-Hey, wanna come down an- And get drunk? I got the good shit!”
“Maybd later.” you tell him telepathically. “Right now we got a problem. Can you check something in the system for me?”
“Sure, sure. Jusss gimme a minute.” he replies. “Whattam I lookin’ for?”
“Me and Meloka’s room is entirely covered in ice.” you tell him seriously. “Something’s wrong.”

“Shit.” he replies, his jovial drunk nature disappearing almost immediately. He remains quiet for a minute or two, then when he returns it’s not with good news. “No hull leaks, the atmosphere system seems to also be working as designed. Yet your entire suite seems to also be frozen, I’m reading sub-zero temperatures from the hallway outside through that entire area of the ship. Whatever’s causing this seems to be localized right around there, as the coldest temperatures are reading from the lobby below your room. Whatever’s causing this phenomenon is probably down there. Waiting for you.”

“I was afraid of that.” you reply. “Lock down my area immediately, I’ll handle this.”
“Good luck.” he replies, ending the communication. As he does you turn to Meloka, quickly thinking to her what Arctus had found out.
“So whoever’s responsible for this is right downstairs.” she replies telepathically, standing up in the bed. “Let’s get down there and end them!”
“Right.” you nod to her, preparing to step onto the ground when you hesitate, instincts giving you a warning so you shout to her. “Stop!”

Meloka immediately freezes, stopping herself before touching the ground and looking over at you concerned. You aren’t sure why, but you have this distinct feeling that touching the ice would be a problem. Instead you float off the bed, carefully not touching the ground as you drift towards the frozen, partially-opened door. Using your telekinesis you grab ahold of the door, forcing it fully open to allow you through without touching it. Despite trying to move silently, there is the noticeable shatter of ice as you break the frozen seal. Glancing back to Meloka, your wife nods to you once. Whatever’s down there, you’ll have to take it head-on.

Gliding silently down the staircase, Meloka hot on your heels, you descend down to the main floor. And sure enough, as you go down the stairs, the air temperature continues to drop. As you reach the main floor, it feels as if ice is actually starting to form on your body. But you press on, turning the corner and are ready for anything. But, what you’re not ready for is nothing. Despite everything in the room being covered in a layer of slightly-luminous ice, everything appears exactly the same as you’d left it. Nothing is out of place, the only thing that draws your eye is the other doors are all also frozen partially open.

“Can you sense anything?” you ask Meloka telepathically. “I can’t sense anything.”
“Me neither.” she replies, you feeling her worry through the link. “This isn’t good.”
“No, it’s not.” you reply, drifting closer to the center of the room. “Watch my back hun.”
“Always.” she replies, you hovering in the room’s center. Looking around, nothing immediately leaps out at you. But you can’t shake the feeling that you’re in danger.

What now?

“Divine Dragon Force.” you say, your crimson dragon materializing wrapped around your right arm. “We’re in trouble.”
“I see.” your Stand replies, looking around at everything covered in ice. “This Stand is clearly powerful.”
“So it is the work of a Stand then.” you say, looking around. “I wasn’t sure.”
“It is clearly the work of an enemy Stand.” Dragon Force says, and for the first time in a long time actually sounds apprehensive.
“This isn’t good. Wait, behind you!”

Turning, you see an unfamiliar form has appeared behind Meloka. Your eyes widen in surprise, and to your wife’s credit, she doesn’t even hesitate.

“HAAAAAAA!!” she roars, golden aura flaring up around her. But the enemy Stand, a mechanical humanoid-like being that looks surprisingly similar to the last one you’d fought, isn’t blown away by the sudden force of her powering up.
“Dragon Force!!” you bellow, throwing your right fist forward towards it.
“RRROOOOAAAAAAARRR!!” your Stand bellows, charging forward from you and rushing straight for the enemy Stand. It sees your Dragon Force coming, and instead of attacking Meloka leaps back into the icy wall. You watch, shocked, as it seemingly melts into the ice. Dragon Force’s fangs snap shut on where it had been standing just a moment later, Meloka looking at you wide-eyed.

“It was behind you.” you say by way of explanation. “It melted into the ice on the wall behind you.”
“Shit.” she replies, flying right over to you. And since you’re both still exposed, she flies up and latches onto your back. You feel her warmth radiating into your body, a shiver running over you. “I’ve got your back.”
“Thanks hun.” you reply, Dragon Force pulling itself back and returning to it’s usual place around your arm as you ask. “Did you see where it went?”
“I can’t see it.” Meloka says, sounding slightly annoyed at you. But as she says this, Dragon Force also speaks up.
“No, I couldn’t follow it once it went into the ice.” your Stand replies. “But it’s still here, warching us.”
“Damn.” you mutter, then to Meloka. “Keep an eye out for the user. We’ll hunt that Stand down.”

But how will you do that?

“I’ll hunt him down, cover me.” she says, eyes closing as she devotes herself fully to her ki sense. While she does this you raise your right arm, Dragon Force watching both of your backs as you both are on the lookout for the Stand. Your eyes dart back and forth, searching for any sign of the Stand among this frozen mirror of your quarters.
“Dammit.” you mutter, frustration mounting by the second as both the Stand and user avoid detection. “Where are you?”

“Here!” the Stand says, you and Dragon Force’s gazes both snapping up to it. And sure enough, hanging upside down from the ceiling is the enemy Stand’s upper body. But it doesn’t just sit there, falling right for you with a giant, razor-sharp icicle in either hand pointed right for your eyes. Without hesitation you move, reaching up and catching the frozen blades mere inches from your face.
“Karn! He’s here, in front of you!” Meloka shouts, leaping off your back and firing a Scatterbeam from each hand at the far wall. Ten holes are shot straight through it, yet as she fires you see a slight distortion in the air. He’s here! You try and bring your arms down to defend yourself, to attack the obviously cloaked Sangheili, but they don’t move! Your arms are frozen in place, the icicle spears you’d grabbed are somehow already connected to the ceiling, freezing your arms to the forearm and holding you in place.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=tNW9lmujZxU

“GAH!!” you gasp, as you take a powerful energy beam straight to the chest. It hits you square in the scar your Towa’s Mira had left, actually piercing into your chest. An instant later a second shot is fired right into where the first hit, the Sangheili’s form flickering as it’s invisibility finally wavers.
“You-! YOU BASTARD!!” Meloka roars, golden aura flaring wildly. And as you hang helplessly, gasping for air, you watch as Meloka unleashes hell. “DIE!”

Meloka fires a ki ball towards the Sangheili, it shattering and splitting into more than fifty individual attacks that all swarm through the space between you and the splitjaw. The tiny attacks quickly surround the assassin, and fires a single Death Beam from her finger. It hits the first ball and is refracted, splitting into several beams and reflecting from ball to ball. In a second Meloka’s captured the user, leaving him nowhere to run! But just as the prison begins constricting, the Stand rejoins it’s user. And before you can tell his fate, there is a sudden cloud of mist surrounding them. But that doesn’t stop Meloka, your wife’s attacks colliding and exploding in a fiery blast where the user was standing.

“Karn, are you alright?” Meloka asks you, rushing back over. Meanwhile you snarl, and with a surge of rage transform.
“RAAAAA!!” you roar, power surging as you ascend into your Berserker form. Your body’s rapid expansion shatters the ice that’d trapped you, your left hand going to your chest and clutching at the wound. “I-I’m fine. But where’s the user?”
“I lost him.” Meloka replies, furious. “Dammit!”

“Follow me!” you shout, dashing towards the now ice-free area of the room. Despite Meloka shattering the metal wall and floor, as well as part of the ceiling, it did clear this area of any ice. Which gives you a small area where the Stand itself can’t sneak up on you. Meloka follows wordlessly, again taking your back so you all can observe the room. “Lucky shot, bastard! Now come out and fight me head-on, and stop hiding like a coward!”

And of course you get no answer, the cowardly bastard not stepping forward and preferring to hide.

Well, what now?

“Meloka. I need you to get out of here.” you say seriously. “Get help.”
“Right.” she says, and a moment later her ki disappears. You don’t know who she would’ve Instant Transmissioned to, but you have a few guesses. However, you can’t think of that now, as the enemy Stand and user are doubtlessly still in here somewhere.
“Just you and me, now.” you call out to the seemingly-empty room. “Let’s get this over with. I’ve got a busy day tomorrow, I’m spending the whole day training to kill this new Arbiter your bosses picked out just for me.”

“Fool. You cannot defeat the Arbiter.” the enemy’s Stand says, rising out of the ground in the center of the room. “He is far too powerful for a weakling such as you, and has extensively studied your technique. There is no way you can win.”
“So you all have been spying on me after all, huh?” you reply, smirking. “I knew it.”
“But he won’t get the chance to battle you.” the Stand replies, still confident. “Mistral Wind shall destroy you, here and now.”
“He’s speaking through his Stand.” Dragon Force says. “It isn’t a sentient being like myself, which means the user is still controlling it.”
“So the Heretic can speak.” the enemy Stand says, backing up a foot or so. “I shall bring the masters your head.”
“Do your worst.” you reply, not immediately rushing in. Despite how certain you are in your speed, without knowing the true extent of “Mistral Wind”s powers and where exactly the user is hiding, you can’t blindly rush in. Or, can you? You then bring your voice down to less than a whisper, just loud enough for your own Stand to hear. “I have a plan.”
“Baiting the user’s attack?” Dragon Force replies in a similar fashion. “Understood.”

“Well, it you’re not coming to me, I’ll just have-“ you begin, then midway through the sentence charge. In less than a blink of an eye you’ve crossed the distance between you and the enemy’s Stand, swinging your Stand-wrapped right fist right for it’s head. Suddenly your instincts scream at you that you’re in danger, from the right! So without hesitation you throw your punch short, turning it into a counterclockwise Su Ma spinning kick. And sure enough your strike connects with something, you feeling something you hit break as the Sangheili becomes visible. Your kick takes it square in the back, launching the splitjaw across the room as his Stand vanishes. This could be your chance!

But how will you proceed?
>Rush and attack, break him before he recovers
>Death Beams, don’t risk getting close to him or possibly his Stand

“Let’s end this!” you shout to Dragon Force. “Cover me!”
“On it.” your Stand replies, keeping watch as you focus. Reaching out with your telekinesis, you grab the splitjaw by it’s throat, and lift. It looks at you with eyes wide with fear, struggling to grab at something on it’s belt. But you don’t let it go, and instead begin steadily increasing the pressure. You grip it’s throat tighter and tighter. The fear showing on it’s face, the Sangheili once more summons it’s Stand to defend it. But before it can attack you, Dragon Force lunges. Leaping out from your extended right arm, your Stand slams itself straight through it’s enemy’s middle. Before the Stand can attack Divine Dragon Force binds it, wrapping itself around the enemy and preventing it’s movement.

“This ends now.” you say, and with a final surge of intent tighten your grip on the Sangheili’s neck even further. “Die.”
“Excellent.” Bane says, his phantom appearing beside you. “Allow me to aid you. Continue choking the life out of it, and I shall allow you to drink his fear.”
“Wait, what?” you ask him, confused. “What do you mean?”
“Just keep choking the life out of this scum, and I’ll show you.” he replies, laying one hand on the back of your head and pointing his palm at the Sangheili. You keep strangling the would-be assassin, then suddenly you feel it. Overwheming terror, a crushing pain, and the feeling of not being able to take a breath are all sensations from your enemy you suddenly feel. But more than that, you feel the enemy’s fear empowering you. Almost as if it’s terrifyies emotions are a fuel for your power.

“What is this?” you ask, and since you have the Stand bound with Dragon Force the user can’t act either. “I feel my strength rising, my power surging!”
“The true ability of the ancient Sith.” he replies, smirking knowingly. “The Dark Side is fueled by emotions. And there is no greater fuel than the terrified emotions of those dying painful, gruesome deaths. With training, you can revel in the suffering of your enemies, and use it as the fuel to increase your own power. This is the true power of the Dark Side. Now, revel in his terror, and use that to end him!”

“HAAAA!!” you shout, clenching your fist. And with a final surge of intent, snap the Sangheili’s neck. You feel it’s life swiftly fade, dying mere moments after. And once it’s dead, the emotions it was experiencing before death sharpen, you feeling your own powers spiking. “Woah! That’s a rush!”
“Indeed.” Bane says. “And in time, you’ll be able to revel in the emotions of your foes. Drink in their despair, and your power will reach heights you could have never imagined.”

Alrighty, see you then. It's been great so far. We are kind of running out of things to train... I hope we switch things up a bit or the Arbiter might fuck us up.

It’s certainly a powerful surge of energy, although it is temporary.
>>4407159
It’ll be next week, unless something else happens
>>4407164
It could be quite the game changer.
>>4407171
Karn would certainly become a much greater threat against those who fear.
>>
>>4407179
>It’s certainly a powerful surge of energy, although it is temporary.
You underestimate how much terror we can inspire in the covenant.
>>
>>4407179
>It’s certainly a powerful surge of energy, although it is temporary.
Yeah, I figured, that's why it'll be a super useful Army crusher! Grunts and other such cowards in the Covenant army will be giving us massive force multiplier when we crush them in army battles!
>>
>>4407179
What would be the fear growth if we connected the covenant civies to a few images of karn going all out? Like an image of us gutting Trigon, some Event Horizons, really terrifying things.
>>
So, besides overall strength training and looking for ways to better defend against stands, what else should we think about training?
I'm thinking these are good places to start
>increase sensory range
>develop our newfound Dark Side powers
>try and figure out how Ultra Instinct works
The second and the third are kinda interesting, as I feel like a strong affinity for the Dark Side would interfere somewhat with the required mental state for active usage of Ultra Instinct.
>>
>>4407275
In the hopes of not getting side tracked, current list of things to train is beserk mastery[Iirc it's close to being mastered] IT, Ki Control, Divine Dragon Force, Base PL, and Force training. The first 3 being somewhat more important.
>>
>>4407306
I would put Base Power Level training a bit higher on the list given what we know about the new Arbiter.
Either he's leagues above the old one in terms of raw power, or his stand is on par with Za Warudo and he's still capable fighter.
That's just what I'm getting from what the other Covenant fighters have been saying.
>>
>>4407313
Well I'd reason it's the latter rather than the former in all honesty. Feels like they'd be hard pressed to find another being stronger than Arbiter, let alone Karn,

The reasons for the choices iirc
>IT
Insanely useful utility skill, if we can get it to the point we can do it handless in combat Stands become much less of a problem since we can bypass them for their user. Also very useful in fights were we're hopelessly outclassed but want to be of use[timepatrol/breaker stuff.] Also still have the psychic IT to look into.

>Ki Control
Something Karn sorely need a, allows use to waste less energy and get more out of our attacks. This has been a constant thing we've been needing to work on, and With it we can use more attacks more frequently in the coming battles of the war without worrying about exhaustion.

>Beserk Mastery
It's near completion, aids at least in some way down the line regarding beserking. We've been putting off for probably too long, and if I'm not mistaken it'll let us get more out of beserk at least in first form. In all honesty despite wanting to finish it off it's the first one I'd drop for base pl raising.
>>
>>4407143
And this is why the dark side can be impressive
>>4406751
My shameful display obliged me to commit sudoku and as such i was too occupied to roll and anti-satan anon's sacrifice was not in vain in the end
>>
Personally, I say we heavy focus Ki Control, as our greatest weakness, if we can increase it by even a decent amount it'll be a MASSIVE force multiplier.
>>
>>4408036
I guess at this point it's the crossroads between becoming a more complete warrior or just a stronger warrior. I really can't make a confident decision on the matter until we know just how powerful the Arbiter is right now.
>>
>>4407181
That power isn’t permanently added to yours, and you can only draw upon the intense emotions of those you can see.
>>4407202
It could be a significant boost, if trained up. But Bane doing it for you repeatedly could cause damage, or worse corruption.
>>4407227
Not especially. You could only draw on those close by, and certainly not across cities.
>>4407275
>UI
Without an angelic tutor, it’s not likely something achievable at all, much less anytime soon.
>>4407306
>>4407313
>>4407402
>IT
Useful, but does have it’s limits. Especially against those that now know you can do it.
>Control
You’ve spent a decent time training that, as you worked on your ki attacks pre-Lucrehulk. Finer control is always a plus, but you’re not likely to run dry unless you waste a whole lot of power on weaker enemies. Remember back to the siege.
>Berserk
Again something trained for months before boarding the Lucrehulk, as you can’t really use it on board.
>>4407900
Yes it can be. But caution is advised.
>>4408045
>until we know just how powerful the Arbiter is right now.
You may soon find out
>>
>>4408240
>But Bane doing it for you repeatedly could cause damage, or worse corruption.
If we learned how to do it ourself would it still cause the damage / corruption? or is it because its intrinsically a darkside ability that causes the damage / corruption?
>>
>>4408240
>>IT
>Useful, but does have it’s limits. Especially against those that now know you can do it.
Alright, that's it, we need to brainstorm our plans for the next planetary fort invasion. At the very least we can't keep using IT.
>>
>>4408476
>Alright, that's it, we need to brainstorm our plans for the next planetary fort invasion. At the very least we can't keep using IT.
We could just play it safe and destroy the planet from a distance.
Or we could do a fake out with a multi-form clone.
One Instant Transmission's to the planet, business as usual.
The other would wear a disguise and act as a regular infantry member until the Covenant enact their counter to the planetary Karn.
I've yet to finalize how we capitalize on this, but I've got a few ideas.
>if they bring in another fleet, the Planetary Karn can disengage and refuse with the Disguised Karn and take it out.
>The Planetary Karn can engage whatever Stand User happens to be on the ground and call the Disguised Karn for full power if needed.
I think they would buy Karn going solo on a raid as a result of the casualties incurred during the last mission. If the Plantery Karn dies as a result, it's no big deal and it would briefly confuse the shit out of any combatants trying to track Karn.
>>
>>4408503
Three problems with that.
First our regular Infantry are all Oozaru, or defenders, and there's no early we can add a defender so we'd have to be an Oozaru. Idc, but I don't think we can revert while the Power Moon is up, meaning we can't go higher than Oozaru for the duration of the invasion, or remain split the entire time.

Second, having a much weaker Karn do battle is dangerous and probably noticeable if they have any ki sensors. We also just showed this technique in the last invasion unfortunately so the strategist probably already recorded as much as he could of it.

Lastly having one of the Karn's die is a massive no no. We'd be at half power for a pretty long time, and we can't afford that state in war. Any momentary confusion it would cause is outweighed by how much it'd cripple us
>>
>>4408254
Good question. IC you don’t know, and won’t unless you decide to pursue learning it
>>4408476
Or you can, if you switch up your tactics.
>>4408503
>We could just play it safe and destroy the planet from a distance.
Unwise, as this is the staging area for stage 2.
And if a Multiform Karn is killed, that power is GONE. You’d have to retrain yourself to regain what you’d lost.
>>4408945
Reverting is impossible once transformed, unless you get ko’d or the Power Ball(s) aren’t shining on you for several minutes.
>>
>>4409474
>Reverting is impossible once transformed, unless you get ko’d or the Power Ball(s) aren’t shining on you for several minutes.

Right, thought as much..also the idc was meant to be idk, apologies.

And true, I suppose rather than IT Explosive Wave, or IT to the places woth the highest power level we could just aim for places like their armory or any communication centers. Do more disarray than straight up damage

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 137’s LATE Epilogue-

AGE 749, NEW SALDA

“Sure is quiet around here.” you say with a sigh, sitting on the beach in the shallow water, letting the waves wash against your crossed legs. Your name is Tatsu, and you’ve lived a long, fufilling life. Your son Karn, who you helped shape into the man he became, was the first man in a thousand years to claim the legendary power of a Super Saiyan. And despite all the hardships you’ve faced over the years, and have the abundant scars to show for it, somehow you’re now the oldest living Saiyan on your new homeworld, New Salda. After Planet Vegeta’s destruction you all moved to this world with the intent of making it your home. But it’s almost as if the universe itself has it out for your people.

First, there was the first Covenant invasion. Most people don’t remember it, as it was overshadowed by their later invasion. Then there was the Big Gete Star, and those mechanical abominations. After that there was the full-scale Covenant assault on New Salda, which everyone gave their all to stop. And despite the casualties on your side, for each dead Saiyan they paid in millions of lives. But it didn’t stop there. Hell itself invaded later on, led by a massive demon that Karn finally defeated in a titanic clash.

Yet that wasn’t the last threat to rear it’s ugly head. Not too long after, the last remaining Tuffle unleashed his ultimate revenge machine, Hatchiyack. Yet even the now-extinct species’ rage wasn’t enough to stop your son, as Karn, defeated it. Then with aid from King Vegeta and Lord Freeza, they banished an ancient evil sealed below by New Salda’s late Guardian. You and the ancient being had bonded rather closely over the years you’d known each other, having so much in common. In fact, during many of Karn’s different escapades across space, you’d spent your time not personally watching over Karn’s younger children or training up young Saiyans you’d spent with the elder being. Despite being the now-oldest Saiyan alive, he’d lived dozens, if not a hundred of your lifetimes. And so, you were able to near-continuously learn from a wise elder for the first time in many decades.

“KYAAAAAAAAA!!!” you hear a kid scream, his voice coming closer as you hear smashing from the forest behind you. Turning, you see a young boy with shaggy hair smashing through a tree before crashing into the salty water beside you. Turning curiously to study thr boy, it’s clear he’s been taking a beating. Bloody and bruised, with one eye swollen shut, he reminds you for a moment of Karn when he was much younger. Even more so when, slowly but surely, the boy pushes himself back upright.
>>
>>4409623
“Haaa, haaa, haaa.” he pants, and despite not having the strength to even take a defensive stance, the boy still stands up defiantly. A few moments later you hear several older boys and a few girls talking, joking about one called “Ruta” may have accidentally killed him.
“If he died from that, then he’s too weak to be called a Saiyan.” a young woman says, the clear leader of the group appearing from where the young man’d flown from earlier. She’s still clearly a child, perhaps a year or two younger than your granddaughter Chaya: “See? He’s still alive.”
“How is he even standing?” a rather meathead-looking young man asks her. “I’m sure you broke both his arms already, Ruta.”

“He’ll be in even worse shape when I’m done with ‘em!” Ruta shouts, blitzing forward. The young man she’s targeting is basically out on his feet, swaying back and forth in the breeze. So you decide to interfere, just enough to save him. With an effort of will, you reach out with telekinesis just as she swings, grabbing her by the foot. Before the young woman knows what’s happening you yank her down hard, landing face-first right in the water before the young lad. She hits with a splash, the water spray enough to knock the boy back. But it also wakes him up, you seeing him looking around frantically for several seconds.
“Wha-? Where am I?” he asks, but is interrupted as the girl Saiyan blasts herself back upright. And you can tell she’s royally pissed off.

“Hey! What the hell, you old geezer?!” she shouts angrily, voilet aura flaring up around herself. “This ain’t got nuthin’ to do with you! But if you want your other arm broken off too, I’ll be happy to oblige you!”
“I don’t know what’s going on, but you won your fight.” you say casually, gesturing with your stump of an arm to the confused, beaten and exhausted lad. “Whatever quarrel you had, it’s over. He’s beat. So take your win and leave, no one has to die today.”
“The hell he doesn’t!!” she shouts, getting more and more riled up by the second. “That little bastard thinks he’s better than me! Sayin’ how he’ll one day be a stronger Super Saiyan than me! So I’m just showin’ him his place. Ifyou wanna interfere, I’ll be happy to kick your wrinkly old man ass too!!”
>>
>>4409627
And before you can respond, you feel her ki suddenly surging as she roars. The water blasts away from her as her aura changes to the familiar, brilliant gold. Her power multiplies several times over, knocking her thugs over as she reveals the full extent of her power.

“Last chance old man.” Ruta says, smirking confidently down at you as she crosses her arms. “Get down on your knees and beg for your life, and maybe I’ll spare you.”
“If you really think you’re strong enough to make me beg.” you say, grunting as you force your tired old bones to stand up and take your unique fighting stance. Missing most of both your right leg and left arm, as well as your right eye, most normal fighting stances aren’t exactly useful for you. So you developed your own, with the late Guardian’s help. Rising up, your weight is all on your left leg as you hold your right up, right arm held back and ready to strike while showing your opponent your ‘exposed’ side. “Then take your best shot.”

She seems a bit surprised by your unique stance, immediately unsure just how to approach you. But that doesn’t slow down this hotheaded kid for long, as with a roar she charges right for you. No doubt confident in her transformation’s boosted speed. And while she’s much faster than you, it’s not an unconquerable difference. The young Saiyan rushes in, right fist aimed squarely for your jaw. With your left arm long-severed below the elbow, there’s no way you can block or counter her hit head-on. So you don’t, instead twisting with the movements of the Su Ma technique. Before she’s realized what happened you’ve spun clockwise around her fist, your right elbow slamming square into her cheekbone and sending her crashing down. The girl lands face-first in the salty waters, sliding for several feet through sand and surf until, before coming to a stop, flips back up to her feet and launches right back at you.

“Lucky hit!” she roars, again rushing you recklessly. But this time she’s approaching you from your right, where you’re more capable of defending yourself. Time to teach this upstart whelp a lesson then. “That won’t happen again! HAAAAAA!!”

As Ruta roars she again punches, this time with a hard left. Again you twist around the attack, but this time you turn clockwise, into her guard instead of outside it. She realizes what’s about to happen, but is unable to move fast enough to stop you. So with the full power of your left leg, hips, and right arm, slam your fist square into her gut.
>>
>>4409630
“GUH!!” she wheezes, your powerful strike winding the young Saiyan. But you’re not done yet. Clearly this child, ever since becoming a Super Saiyan at least, hasn’t been disciplined. So it falls to you to teach her respect, especially those older, weaker, yet far more experienced than she is. The real world will easily destroy one such as her, overconfident in her strength. You’ll have to break that ego, so she can learn not to underestimate her opponent.

“HRRRAAAAA!!” you roar, twisting counterclockwise and slamming your left heel into the back of the young woman’s head. Already staggered, this blow sends her crashing down face-first into the shallow water where she slides to a stop. But your attack is relentless, it has to be. If she recovers, and approaches more cautiously, this gap in power could prove troublesome. So you have to break her will, and destroy her so she can be remade into a proper soldier. Reaching down to continue your attack, you grab her by the ankle and lift her up to slam your right knee square into her face. You feel her nose crunch from the impact, pulling your knee back then spinning the young woman overhead one, two, three times before launching her straight into the sky. Planting your good foot you pull your right arm back, gathering your energy before throwing it forward in a powerful energy wave. “HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

Your beam strikes before Ruta could prepare for, or even notice your attack coming. It detonates on impact, you feeling the attack dropping her ki significantly. She’s not critically injured, you purposefully using a less-than-lethal option. But she’ll be feeling that hit for days. Sighing out you lower your arm, taking a deep breath to refocus your energy. Despite losing a chunk of energy she’s still stronger than you, and isn’t coming back down. No doubt taking a few moments and recovering. But as you’re doing the same, taking several deep and calming breaths to steady your own wavering power, you can’t simply rush up there like you could years ago. You have to once more face harsh reality, and accept that your body is growing ever-weaker.

Day by day you’re steadily becoming weaker, your body long past it’s prime. And although your control over ki and even the world around you keeps improving, you can feel the spectre of death hovering over your shoulder. Each time you fight someone, your body’s degradation is noticeably accelerated. But you can’t simply sit on the sidelines, and watch the world go by without interfering. Arrogance can get these kids killed, and you’ve seen it happen enough to know better than anyone.
>>
>>4409630
“That’s it, you bastard!” the young woman shouts from overhead, blitzing down and landing a dozen or so feet from you. She’s clearly furious, golden Super Saiyan aura going wild to match her rage. You feel her energy suddenly begin spiking, this could be trouble! She pulls her arms back, gathering her ki into massive, glowing spheres in her hands. Her energy levels are absurd, rising even higher than they were when she’d just transformed. Just how much power does she have? “I’m ending this, and you! Right here and now!”

“Dammit! I still haven’t recovered from that last attack!” you think to yourself worriedly. “If those hit, this is over. I’m dead.”
“Die!! DIE!!” she roars, tossing the attacks one after the other. And so you put all your faith in the late Guardian’s technique, focusing your energy into a half-dome of ki between you and Ruta’s attacks. The partially-formed Barrier takes both of the young Super Saiyan’s attacks head-on, yet despite the strain it puts on your mind the shield holds. “Huh? What?! No fair, that’s cheating!!”
“Life’s not fair.” you reply, ending the shield and gathering up most of your remaining ki. You only have one shot, better make this count! “It’s over!”

And as you shout you toss a ball of ki, which Ruta seems more than ready for.

“Not yet!” she shouts back, and as your seeming-attack approaches she pulls back her right fist, preparing to swing. But just an instant before it’s in her range you stop it, her counter-punch whiffing and throwing her so off-balance she nearly slams face-first into it. “Wha-?!”
“HAAAA!!” you shout, directing the ball of energy straight up into the air. Her eyes never leave the shining orb, which is perfect. Clenching your fist, you break the ki ball open and bellow, “Burst open and mix!!”

“Huu-ooorrrroooaaaaar!!” she roars, as with her gaze transfixed on the orb begins transforming into an Oozaru. But not just any normal Oozaru. The mighty feral power begins combining with her own Super Saiyan energy, the young woman momentarily transforming into an unstoppable Golden Oozaru! But the strain is too much, her eyes rolling back into her head as she changes from Golden to a normal Oozaru, moments before falling forward unconscious. You leap back, narrowly avoiding being crushed by her hulking frame. After regaining your footing you end the Power Ball, it dissipating as swiftly as it appeared. Moments later Ruta also begins shrinking, reverting back to her normal self. You did it.
>>
>>4409637
Exhausted, you ease yourself back into a sitting position, allowing the waves to gently wash over your lower half as Ruta’s thugs quietly gather their beaten boss and make themselves scarce. No doubt they’re cowards who all follow her out of constant fear. But as they leave you sigh heavily, letting the exhaustion wash over you like a wave. Closing your eyes and relaxing, you feel yourself begin to become one with the world around you. The waves gently washing over you, the sand against your back, you feel your exhaustion surprisingly begin melting away. But that’s not all, as all of your aches and pains begin disappearing as well. You begin feeling relaxed, wonderful even, as pains you’d long since grown so used to you didn’t notice them anymore are surprisingly gone as well. In fact you feel so good you open your eyes, but then immediately realize something’s wrong. You’re not on New Salda anymore.

“The hell?” you mutter, looking around confused. You find yourself on a familiar rocky plain, the sky overhead reminding you of home. Not this planet, but the home you’d lost. Planet Vegeta. “But, how-?”
“Hey Tats.” a voice calls out, one you’ve not heard in years. Turning, you see a woman you’ve not seen for decades, tears coming to your eyes. “Long time no see.”
“No way...” you say, taking an uncertain step forward. This is impossible, you watched her die more than thirty seven years ago. “R-Ruco?! Is that really you?”
“Of course, who else would it be.” she says, rushing over to you. And before you can process what’s happening she grabs your hands, holding them tight. “I’ve waited so long to talk to you again! And now you’re finally here!”

WHAM

Suddenly you feel a sharp impact to the chest, and all of your aches and pains are back in full-force. Ruco looks at you, frowning a bit, before speaking up.

“The boy you saved. He’s trying to return the favor.” she says, looking directly in your eyes. Or, rather, eye now, as your body returns to how it was before you appeared in this place. “But you don’t have to go, if you don’t want to. You can choose to stay here instead.”
“Sorry, Ruco. But I-“ you start, Karn’s mother closing the distance and covering your mouth with a single finger.
“I know.” she says, tears in her eyes. “You never quit.”
“But I’ll see you again, soon enough.” you say, sharing one final embrace before you turn your back on her and into the darkness. And as you do, suddenly your eyes spring open.
>>
“Y-You’re alive!” the kid shouts, you looking over at the kid after a moment of getting your bearings to see him crying. “I thought you were dead!”
“Bah, I’m harder to kill than that.” you say, coughing up seawater as you sit upright. “But what about you, you alright kid?”
“I-I’m fine!” he says, sniffling a bit as he tries to clear his face and look less beat-up probably. “Just some bruises and broken bones, nothing I’m not used to from her and her goons. But forget that, you were awesome! How do you fight like that?”

“It’s called the Su Ma technique.” you say, using your flight to return to your feet. Well, foot. “And I think you could learn how to use it. What do you say, kid?”
“D-Do you mean it?” he asks, but before you can answer you sense two strong powerlevels surging towards you. Tatsu and Tomi, Karn and Meloka’s first set of twins crash down on the beach beside you.
“Grandpa, you alright?” they both ask you perfectly simultaneously.
“Easy, easy. I’m fine.” you say, waving their concern off with a wave and a smile. “So, what do you say kid? Want to study with my grandkids, and learn how to fight like you just saw?”
“Uzai. M-My name is Uzai. Sir.” he says haltingly, giving you a surprisingly proper Saiyan salute. “And it would be my honor!”
“He’ll be joining us?” they say, again perfectly together. “Wouldn’t it be easier for him to train with Maz and Kayle first?”
“Nonsense.” you reply, laying your hand on Uzai’s head. “I think young Uzai here will surprise you both. Now, come on. Let’s go.”

And you lift up into the air, the twins and your newest student Uzai following you as you lead the way. Your time in this world’s not done yet, not by a long shot. But knowing where you’ll go when it’s over, well, what’s better than that?

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 137 LATE Epilogue End-
>>
Heh, that uppity brat got what she deserved, and man, pops is really close to his end, huh? I hope we can be there for it, so we can give him a proper sendoff... I'll miss that old man, he's a damn good influence, on everyone.
>>
>>4409665
He is in his 70s after all, the oldest living Saiyan in your timeline, and possibly the ENTIRE timeline currently. And yes he’s certainly got the moves.
>>
>>4409709
Thanks for the epilogue GD, it was a really good one
>>
>>4409709
If only he learned Hamon from the Guardian too. At the very least he wouldn't be feeling his age, nor looking it.
>>
After reading that epilogue I was about to say something like "What's more dangerous to the enemies of the saiyans, a complete beast like Karn, or someone like his father who continuously trains up fighters and passes on strong techniques?" Then I remembered Karn is doing the same thing with both his own students and kids. Karn's family sure does tilt the timeline, huh?
>>
Man that kid is lucky. The bricks that would be shat once Karn finds out some kid SS with more arrogance then sense killed his dad. Oh maaaaaaaaaaaaan.
>>

Mhm. No amount of moral faggotry would keep me from voting to shove their head into their ribcage.

It's good that you could join.

>And that’s it for tonight, everyone enjoying the ride so far?
Yes.
>Ready to begin training for the massive upcoming battle, and see what the Covenant have in store for you?
Yes.
>All this and more when Saiyan Conqueror Quest returns!
>Also, unfortunately something came up and I won’t be able to continue the run this Sunday. So instead we’ll continue this episode, and the halfway battle shall begin next weekend!
No problem. It's understandable. Sometimes real life makes it hard for the Saiyan Conqueror Quest to happen. I was only able to be in the early stage of Saiyan Conqueror Quest 138 because of some real life things.

That Stand user was tricky, it's nice we managed to overcome this threat.
>But is it really over? Or was he here just to catch our attention, when something worse happens elsewhere.

Also this whole situation with the latest Stand somewhat confirms couple things.
>We know Arctus was in the part of the ship from where he can oversee and control entirety of it.
Information that he was drunk but that does not invalidate what comes below.
>It's safe to assume that the sensors present on the Lucrehulk were active.
Despite this:
> the arrival of the Sangheili Stand user was not detected.
>His moving around the ship up to Karn's and Meloka's quarters were also not detected.
>His Stand Mistral Wind froze them nearly entirely sparing only the bed.
>Judging from the half open and frozen in that state doors he might have even entered the place where Karn and Meloka were sleeping.
>He probably just left though, but only because he wanted to.
All of this did not activate any alarm, nothing.
If Karn did not reach out to Arctus via telepathy perhaps he would only found out sometime later after all of it was over.

What is unclear about this.
>Were the alarms shut down because he was busy getting drunk?
Very unlikely. Artus is responsible, he seem like he would never do such risky thing.
>Did Sangheili avoided detection only because of the technology that makes his cloaking?
If yes, then that is a bigger problem. It means all other Elites have technology available that can make them move around our ship like ghosts.

Or perhaps it was due to the powers of Stand Mistral Wind that he was able to be this stealthy.
>Then it is somehow a bit less concerning, because it means that it was something rare.
Stand Users are not common, and their abilities are pretty much unique among the multitudes of standard Covenant warriors.

Due to the doors to Karn's and Meloka's room being half open and frozen like that there is a suspicion.
>Possibility, that the Mistral Wind or even the Stand user himself entered their room when they slept.
If yes. This leads to another mystery.
>Sangheili was here to kill them.
>But if it was like this then why he left the room and waited till Karn and Meloka wake up and get ready to fight.
>He even left their bed unfrozen as if to make a point.
Mistral Wind could have tried to stab one of them (or both) with a icicle to the throat or heart.
>He did none of that.

This is very suspicious. What the Covenant really wanted to achieve here?
>Was it again a distraction to pull of something else unnoticed?

Only positive possibility for an answer to this that comes to mind is that maybe:
>This Sangheili honorable enough not to attack them in their sleep.

> “Excellent.” Bane says, his phantom appearing beside you. “Allow me to aid you. Continue choking the life out of it, and I shall allow you to drink his fear.”

Most interesting development.

To be able to increase power like this. While this is very situational it is also very useful.
Just imagine a situation similar to the Covenant's siege of New Salda.
>Karn and his allies has been fighting without practically any break for a long time.
>but despite continuous effort and battle Karn keeps on fighting.
>endless waves of enemies keep on coming but he keeps on battling.
>But after all this time even his stamina seems to be starting to run out.
Yet with the power of the Dark Side he will not simply drop exhausted after some enormous unending effort.
>While fighting and killing he will empower himself with the feelings of agony that come from foes he is defeating.
>Turning their suffering into a fuel to strengthen himself with the power of the Dark Side of the Force.
>As long as he will be fighting and defeating enemies he will be able to keep on going way past his limit.
Such enormous exertion could probably be a cause of huge Zenkai later, but that is not most important. Most important is that he would be able to remain in battle despite enemies attempts to slowly grind him by forcing him to use up all of his strength on uncountable hoards of opponents.

>“The true ability of the ancient Sith.” he replies, smirking knowingly. “The Dark Side is fueled by emotions.
This is very important.
Today Karn has also made first step into learning some of the other powerful powers that come from the Force.
What Darth Bane demonstrated is obviously very useful.
>but what he showed is also a gateway to even more advanced Dark Side related powers.

First of all what Karn just made was to empower himself at the cost of dread and suffering that Sangheili assassin was experiencing.
>From a certain point of view it could be said that he almost used him as battery to draw power from.
This is one important step that can lead Karn closer to Force Drain.
>Of course I know Karn still needs to learn a lot, but nevertheless he is closer than before.
>>
File: Force .jpg (511 KB, 1280x1024)

Another thing that I was thinking about.
Darth Bane said:
> The Dark Side is fueled by emotions.
Even in combat with a mechanical enemy Karn could empower himself with the Dark Side of the Force.
>But mechanical enemies do not feel anything let alone dread.
>They cannot be used as a source like the living beings.
True, but there is another source.

Karn himself.
>Remember how in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods Vegeta's power massively increased when he became angered because Beerus hit his wife Bulma?
>Vegeta has no Force powers but his anger allowed him to strengthen himself.
An emotion allowed this, and Karn did similar things many times before.
>But that was just with his own innate strength and Ki energy.
In Saiyan Conqueror Quest 34 rage was what allowed Karn to unlock the Berserker Super Saiyan for the first time.
>Chaya was about get hurt, and that made Karn insanely angry.

So it's natural for Karn to instinctually draw power from his emotions.
>And now once he train himself enough he will be use the same source of strength to also gain power from the Dark Side of the Force.
Those are two (2) simultaneous very strong power ups working at the same time.
>Once mastered it will make Karn so much more dangerous.

If he will find himself in an unfair fight with odds stacked against him
>the more angered or frustrated (maybe both) he will be in battle the more power he will gain from the Dark Side of the Force.
But what is even better is that apparently those emotions don't necessarily have to be like anger or hate.

Darth Bane said:
>" The Dark Side is fueled by emotions."
And below I post a quote from "https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Dark_side_of_the_Force"
>" To tap into the power of the dark side was to indulge in raw emotions such as aggression,[2] fear, anger, hatred,[3] and passion.[4]"

Yes "passion".
And what is passion?
Quote from "https://www.dictionary.com/browse/passion"
>"any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love or hate."
Love.
Imagine Karn using his love for Meloka and children to strengthen himself with the power of the Dark Side in order to protect them.
>I think that could be something that Darth Bane does not see every day.

>We are kind of running out of things to train...
I think it's the opposite.

We have way too little time to train all the things that we want. Just to mention couple of them:
>Base power level training.
(So when we unlock new transformations we will be able to hold on to it. And not like Vegeta, who tasted power of the Primal Saiyan transformation, but can't repeat it.)
>Energy control/mastery training.
Meloka does very impressive things with it, we could too if we learn.
> Dark Side of the Force training.
So many unusual powers and possibilities can come from this.
>Berserker transformation mastery.
Because it's so good.
> Training with our Stand Divine Dragon Force to get better at team work and unravel the mystery of his undiscovered abilities.
GD hinted that Divine Dragon Force has great power, but unfortunately we don't know how to use it fully and thus can't access it now.

There are more things that could be trained then this of course.
Like for example practicing some specific fighting style like maybe:
>Su Ma
>Su Ma Grappling
>Djem So
>Rope-A-Dope
Source - Saiyan Conqueror Quest Pastebin: "https://pastebin.com/iPAJeGJn"
.
I just mentioned few.
So I would say that sadly we don't have as much time to train as we want and need.

>So, besides overall strength training and looking for ways to better defend against stands, what else should we think about training?
>try and figure out how Ultra Instinct works

I'm not sure about Ultra Instinct now.
>Goku with power level in the Tournament of Power league only managed to hold on to it very short time, and in was very draining.
In key moment when he talking to Jiren after winning the duel it overloaded Goku and caused him to lose power of Mastered Ultra Instinct at that moment (picture related).
Don't get me wrong I know Ultra Instinct very strong, but it's also very hard to attain.
>Didn't Whis said that Goku was only Mortal who ever did it?

>>4408503
>Or we could do a fake out with a multi-form clone.
>If the Plantery Karn dies as a result, it's no big deal and it would briefly confuse the shit out of any combatants trying to track Karn.
Unfortunately it's a big deal, because if one of the Multi Form clones dies the maximum power level of a recombined user is lowered and hindered for months until it recovers.
>>4409474
>And if a Multiform Karn is killed, that power is GONE. You’d have to retrain yourself to regain what you’d lost.

Or, and this ones my bigger guess, the Yautja was always on board so our senses couldn't feel anything off. QM QUESTION

We’re still on to continue the episode this Sat/Sun, I hope to see everyone there. But I had a thought. With the way everything has progressed over the past three years, which has been your favorite in-quest revelation? And with so much characterization, especially outside the ‘normal canon’, who is/are your favorite characters? And, perhaps most important, what are you looking forward to most after this war ends?
>>
>>4414281
>which has been your favorite in-quest revelation?
That Raven and Ubo are having a baby. Don't you lie to me I can smell the sexual tension from here. It's only a matter of time.
>>
>>4414281
>which has been your favorite in-quest revelation?
I suppose Cold being a Jedi. I really enjoy how you’ve blended all these different series together into one canon, it makes for some pretty cool surprises.
>who is/are your favorite characters?
I like Frieza the best. It’s nice seeing him not as an antagonist but an ally.
>what are you looking forward to most after this war ends?
I’d like to see us finally tackle the challenge of achieving a new transformation. Whether we choose the Primal route or God route, I’m eager to reach the next stage of power.

Having Star Wars stuff in the series but as a flavor thing because Buu wrecked everything was inspirational. Although for personal preference reason I'm more of a fan of making Towa a family woman.

>>4414281
I think my favorite revelation is Manus is Aku, that was a pretty good one, with a close second on how all the stars wars stuff went to shit cause majin buu broke everything.
>>
>>4414281
>which has been your favorite in-quest revelation?
All the lore surrounding the Jedi order, Buu's rampage, and Cold's inclusion was personally very interesting to me. It makes me wonder what you're planning on doing with the Covenant since they also have a lot of backstory that hasn't really been brought up in quest.
>who is/are your favorite characters?
Guardian for life, never forget who saw the potential in us to be something more.
Vegeta and our kids all have a special place in my heart as they grow.
Broly in particular is a refreshing take on his character.
Tatsu's outlook and experiences are also interesting since he's probably the last "old school" Saiyan left. I love how he's fitting into that mold.
Trunks is also interesting to me as I see a lot of potential with his character arc. I have to wonder if he's still conflicted seeing the true nature of his lineage and just what he's trying to destroy.
>what are you looking forward to most after this war ends?
Plenty of things honestly.
We have a ton of stuff to work on personally after everybody's safe for the time being.
I kinda want to bring the remaining Covenant races into the fold and do away with their flawed zealotry.
I also want to see the moment Chaya and Broly really come into their own as they finally become young adults.
And finally, I'm looking forward to tying some the lose ends when the peace and calm of New Salda is inevitably shattered. I know about half of a sorcerer who needs a good skull-fucking.

That depends on anons’ choices. The Guardian was especially interesting, since both he and Ubo were spared by anons. Vegeta has developed quite differently than his ‘canon’ counterpart, for the better, and the kids are always a personal treat for me to write. Especially Caulifla right now, who’s taken Chaya’s cute mantle. And of all the characters who’ve made it this far, I’m pleasantly surprised Tatsu’s survived this long. Your choices kept him alive

With the now TWO massive wars going on, he may have begun moving a bit more openly than before, thinking he wouldn’t be seen with so many PTO resources devoted to exterminating the Covenant.

It probably is a tie inbetween the jedi and the covenant stuff both have massive implications, I wonder if karn might have to fight the mother or have a chance of ending up on mortis after all there is dagger similar to godsend there
And on the covenant side we have the precursors and ancient humans and somehow Doom Slayer is involved

Thanks for explanation.
>Yes, would extremely help in another Siege situation. But when the battle is over, Karn would crash hard and not recover for days, or possibly weeks. Pushing your body too far past it’s physical limits has consequences.
True. I'm not thinking about using something like that carefree. More of a something to use only in extreme situations.

>Also, this is the FIRST TIME Karn couldn’t immediately sense a cloaked Sangheili. Something’s different.
That's important.
>Why fight directly, and risk Karn’s legendary anti-assassin abilities, if you can simply let him slowly freeze to death in his sleep?
Clever approach.

> His days are numbered.
I refuse to accept it.

>I’ll say this, Whis is far more wary of Dragon Force now than he was.
Wow Whis thinks Divine Dragon Force is something that should not be underestimated.
That's even more motivating to find out what it's secrets are.

By the way who managed to gain insight on mysterious stand called Dark Rider that belongs to Karn's son in another timeline?
Joseph Joestar used Purple Hermit to examine Dark Ride and get information about it
Who did the same with Caulifa's Stand (Triumph) and was first to reveal that it will have a skill:
>From the Ashes: If Triumph is active and not in it’s dormant form upon the user’s death, Triumph and the user will both burn down to ashes, then be reborn in a powerful golden inferno.
Joseph Joestar
That's why I think, that once we have the chance to meet him in person again, we should ask him to find what information he can get on our mysterious Divine Dragon Force.
I have high hopes for this.

Mortals can't sense Ki that belongs Gods because Divine Ki is different and if you don't have it yourself, you will not be able to detect it.
>What if because of this Purple Hermit, a Stand that belongs to a mortal will not be able to get much info or at all on Divine Dragon Force.
>Because our Stand is full of Divine Ki and that may pose a problem with examining it by Purple Hermit.
But I still hope it will help us get some information on our Stand anyway.

By the way on topic of sensing God Ki according to:

Quote:
>"though there are exceptions to this, such as the mysterious assassin Hit, who could sense the divine power of Son Gokū despite having seemingly no divine power of his own."

Not like another Siege wouldn’t be an extreme situatuon.
It was a clever approach. But more importantly, they learned that a sneak attack on Karn directly or even indirectly is doomed to failure.
He’s in his seventies anon, he’s lived for years longer than any Saiyan who fought regularly. And besides, the afterlife won’t be something bad for him.
A clever idea, and you may be able to try it once this is all over. If he’s reachable.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After returning from the last mission Karn had a heartfelt discussion with his father before going to bed. But during the night Karn was attacked by yet another Stand, this one by the name of Mistral Wind. It attacked in the dead of night, dropping the temperature inside Karn and his crew’s quarters to far, far below freezing. After nearly freezing in your sleep, and coming face-to-face with the Sangheili wielder’s Beam Rifle, Meloka used Instant Transmission to go get help while he faced down and killed the Stand user. Now, as we rejoin Karn, the ancient Sith shade Darth Bane is explaining what he’d helped you just do.

“The proper name for this technique is Consume Essence.” Bane continues, as unsurprisingly the ice around the room begins to melt. “By feasting on others’ darker emotions, such as fear or hatred, you can drink in their own power as well. This drains their own ability to fight back while simultaneously strengthening yourself. Once you’ve attained sufficient control over this technique, you will be almost unstoppable. Weakening your enemies and breaking their will, all the while boosting your own stamina and strength. If you master this ability, you shall become virtually invincible.”
“Virtually, huh?” you ask, noticing his phrasing. “So, how did it fail you?”
“Ha! No, my death wasn’t due to this technique.” he replies, you sensing a hint of pride with what he says next. “It was my apprentice, Darth Zannah, who ended my physical life. My student defeated me in an open battle spanning worlds, after learning all but one of my techniques. But that is a tale for another time.”
“Huh?” you ask, the Sith vanishing as your wife and unsurprisingly Lord Freeza in his insanely-powerful Golden form both appear beside you.

“Well, it would seem that your husband didn’t quite need our help after all.” Freeza says to Meloka, then after a glance around the room to take in the battle’s results turns to you. “So, you thwarted yet another assassin? Tell me, did you manage to figure out how this scum managed to infiltrate our ship, and bypass all the security measures in place?”
“Not out of him, I didn’t get much of a chance to talk.” you reply. “But when he was cloaked, I couldn’t sense his ki. At all. Meloka found it, before teleporting over to you. Whatever new tech he’s got, it masked his ki from me.”
“That is certainly troublesome news.” Freeza says, reverting to his fourth form as he ponders. “If you could not sense him, and the onboard scouters didn’t pick him up, then we have some real problems. Fortunately you killed him without much damage to the gear, so perhaps the researchers can figure out how it works.”
“Hey, Karn. What the hell?”

You turn towards the voice, seeing a much bluer than usual Appule shoving the frozen door fully open.

“Who turned off the hea-Oh shit!” he shouts, seeing the Sangheili’s corpse. “Are we under attack?!”
“Not anymore.” you reply, also reverting back down to your base form. With the adrenaline rush over you once more begin feeling the cold, Meloka clearly feeling the same and pressing close to you. Karn Jr. between you both, to keep the defenseless unborn child warmer.

This is indeed troublesome. It may not even be that we will find another Sangheili. Perhaps this unwanted guest simply left somewhere some small object/machine that will allow the Covenant to further spy on our Lucrehulk.
Who knows if the dead assassin also did something else before heading to Karn's and Meloka's quarters.

“But there may still be more of them hiding.” you say seriously, Appule’s eyes widing in surprise as he realizes the implications. “This is an emergency. Let’s get everyone else up, and search the rooms.”
“R-Right!” Appule shouts, rushing to the cooks’ quarters off the kitchen and grabbing ahold of the door. Ice cracks as he heaves the door open, but you don’t watch him. Instead, with Meloka moving to your back and hanging on you approach Dr. White’s office, wrenching the door open. And sure enough, the entire medical office is covered in a layer of frost. Rushing across the room you approach the far door, this one surprisingly fully closed. But that doesn’t stop you, Meloka using a beam of ki to melt the ice sealing the room shut as you grab ahold of it. With ease you slide the door open, seeing Dr. White holding one of the Covenant blasters pointed at the door.

“Karn? What’s going on?” he asks, lowering the weapon and looking to you quizzically. “I heard fighting.”
“Hopefully it’s over for tonight, but then we were attacked.” you say, then quickly explain what happened. “Didn’t the ice enter your room?”
“No, not here.” he says as the two of you exit, the elderly doctor’s eyes widening as he sees the layer of ice covering everything. “You did eliminate this threat, correct? I no want freezing to death.”
“Don’t worry, the bastard’s dead.” you say, returning to the common area. Everyone’s now up and about, your entire old crew watching tue melting ice and keeping their distance from Freeza, who’s examining the dead Sangheili. “Everyone here?”
“We’re all here.” Appule says, everyone turning to you. “But we haven’t found any signs of another one. Any ideas?”
“I may have one.” you reply, glancing towards your wife who’s head is resting on your right shoulder. “You have anything?”

“I have one.” she replies, sliding off your back and floating to the approximate middle of the common room. Touching down on the ground beside a pair of couches and table, your wife creates a rather large, swirling ball of energy overhead. And while your crew don’t seem particularly worried, the newer additions of Silver’s trainees seem rather nervous. “Everyone hold still, don’t move around too much. HAAAAAA!!”

And as she shouts, the ball of energy explodes.
cont
>>
>>4416933
One moment there’s a single ball of energy, the next it’s split into hundreds of her fist-sized spheres of powerful ki. And they all fly out in different directions, seemingly bouncing off of everything.

“Everyone in here will be fine.” she addresses the room, eyes closed in concentration. “Everyone I can sense in here won’t detonate these attacks, but if they hit anything that shouldn’t be here, well. Better hope the first one kills you.”

And as your still-naked wife addresses the room, you see several getting chills that have nothing to do with the swiftly-heating freezer your part of the ship’d become. Within a few minutes the other balls all bounce back off every surface into the main hall, recombining into the single large orb of power. And with a contented sigh Meloka dispels the power, tirning to you and giving a thumbs up.

“All clear.” she says, every one of your crewmen sighing out in relief. “If anyone was here, they’re not now.”
“Alright, everyone, almost done.” you say, even Freeza perking up at this. “But before we all go back to bed, let’s sweep everywhere and make sure they didn’t leave anything behind like explosives, or recording devices.”
“Sir!” they all shout, saluting to you then beginning to scour the hall. While their search yielded nothing, Dr. White returned to his medical office. He was meticulous in making sure nothing was tampered with. Especially the healing pods, no-doubt remembering how you’d almost been assassinated in one. And, sure enough, as everyone returns to the common room reporting the all clear, he seems disturbed.”

“Found something.” he says, walking back out of his office and handing you a few small, pink crystals. “Seem familiar?”
“Yeah.” you reply, taking the small crystals carefully. “Where did you find these?”
“One in each healing pod.” he says, you understanding the implications immediately.
“Seems he wanted a bit of insurance if he managed to score some decent hits.” you say, crushing them to powder. “Bastards.”
“Like this one?” Dr. White asks, jabbing a finger right into the newly-burned hole in the center of your chest. You wince as he does, the agony flaring back into you at full force. “He did get you, meathead. Want to spend night healing?”

Couldn’t hurt, spend the rest of the night in a healing pod wins it. Writing.
And don’t forget, Dr. White already went over everything in his office. Don’t have to worry about any further sabotage there
>>
The door situation is too suspicious imo, at first I thought that every door opening was probably just some automated response from the ship as a safety feature in response to the temp, but Dr. White's room being sealed and iceless makes me think that there might be a saboteur that hacked into the ship's systems to ensure the ice could spread past the door seals. Either that, or the stand user used his stealth tech to go around and manually open each of the doors himself in preparation for maximum spread of the ice.
>>
>>4416978
True. You are right, the point of this trap would be to make sure some one in ppd will die trapped in crystal.
But I think it's still good idea to make sure that the crew checks if some of the other important things and equipment are not broken or stealthily damaged.

>However going back the on topic of getting into malfunctioning Healing Pod.
>It could be that assassin might had a different back up idea just in case.
>If he assumed that we could have managed to find the crystals.
>And the pods would be also somehow damaged.
>Then they would be still not properly functional and because of that they would not be able to properly heal the injured.
Maybe it's not very probable, but when it comes to the Healing Pods it's better to check twice just to be sure.
They are very important.
Luckily GD just confirmed the Healing Pods are fine.

“Not particularly.” you tell him, then trade a glance with Meloka. “But I think it’s for the best.”
“You’d better.” Meloka says, half-heartedly scolding you. “I don’t want you bleeding all over the bed.”
“I’ll be out when I’m all patched up.” you tell her, kissing your wife then turning to the doctor. “Alright doc, fire it up.”

You then step into the pod, swiftly attaching the sensors and putting on the air mask as the pod begins filling with the healing fluid. As it does you watch closely, making sure none of the crystal was left behind, but it appears Dr. White managed to clean all traces of it out. You close your eyes, slowing your breathing as the added chemicals in the air cause you to swiftly pass out. While you’re not sure just how long you were out, when your eyes open again you peer throught the healing fluid and see that your chest wound has fully healed. Throwing the release lever, the fluid swiftly drains out allowing you to push the pod’s door open and step out. Looking around, you see no trace of the ice that had formed last night from the enemy Stand user’s ability. In fact the air feels rather comfortable, you yawning and taking a rather large stretch.

“Morning, General.” Dr. White says, the elderly man already at his desk. “Looking much better.”
“Feeling better.” you tell him, flashing him a thumbs up. “Thanks doc.”
“Anytime.” he says, you leaving the office and going back up to your room. Throwing on a training suit you then go back into the common room, getting a quick bite to eat as well before leaving your rooms behind and taking off. You fly from the central area to the left arm of the Lucrehulk, where your students are no doubt getting ready to train. You’re ready to push them even harder than before,

Despite the ever-growing power gap between you and your wife, with her unable to train her body while carrying your son, yesterday she really showed the difference between your abilities. And while your control over your energy is far greater, and you waste much less energy than you did before, her mastery over using her energy is leages beyond what you’re currently capable of. So until you reach the next objective, your focus for your own training will be to try and close that gap.

But as you’re thinking all this your short flight came to it’s end, walking through the energy shield you find your wife already directing the morning training session.

“C’mon Negi, quit slacking off! You too Apio!” she shouts from atop the Gravity Chamber, the two Saiyans trading blows in one of the smallish fighting rings set up between the chambers. “I wanna see some movement down there! If you stay still for more than two seconds, you’re going in the chamber at double your usual gravity!”
“Yes ma’am!” both Saiyans shout, leaping back at each other as they resume sparring with the Su Ma technique. You observe all of them a moment, watching the ones sparring and glancing in the chambers to see the others struggling under the increased gravity. You notice each one is now set to at least ten times New Salda’s gravity, which is more than most all of them have trained at before.

“Got them working hard already I see.” you say, flying up beside Meloka and giving her a quick kiss. “Sleep good?”
“No, the bed was cold.” she says, looking you up and down. “But you’re all better?”
“I’m fine.” you reply, slapping yourself on the chest. “But yesterday did show me something important.”
“Oh yeah? What’s that?” she asks curiously.
“You’ve left me in the dust.” you answer, watching over the students with her. “My techniques are okay, but that? That was something I could only dream of doing. I need you to help teach me how to handle my ki better.”

“Of course hun.” she says, floating up and kissing you. “But first, let’s train them all for today, and I’ll help you tonight.”
“Sounds good to me.” you reply, then step off the chamber down to ‘ground’ level. “Hey, Zelor! Her enemies won’t pull punches in battle, and neither should you! I see another half-assed kick like that, you’ll be kicking at me until it breaks, got it!?”
“SIR!” he shouts, this time firing off his kick with enough power to stagger his younger sparring partner.
cont
>>
>>4417386
“No no no, like that Koli!” you say to the younger Saiyan, demonstrating better technique. “If you’re going to block a powerful kick like that, brace the elbow with your other hand, like this!”
“SIR!” she replies, Zelor firing off another kick. This time Koli blocks it properly, and with her feet planter properly is able to deliver a powerful rising knee before he’s able to reset himself and get his defenses up. However, when she tries for a follow-up he spins properly, landing a spinning elbow to her back that sends the younger Saiyan crashing face-first to the mat.

“Better!” you call out, then move over to the next group to give them a few pointers. The morning goes like this, you switching the groups out between the mats and gravity chambers several times before ending their session for lunch. “Alright everyone, good work today. Same time tomorrow.”

And as your students all leave to go get their own meals, Meloka appears beside you holding a rather large tray of food. You and your wife sit atop the gravity chamber sharing a meal, enjoying the time to yourselves before the afternoon class begins. And sure enough, within an hour or so after you both started eating, the other half of your students have arrived. Much like the morning class, your afternoon class proceeds without any major issues. Gosu did break her arm, trying to block a kick from the much-stronger Pasley, but there weren’t any major injuries. And after several hours of pushing your students’ limits, working out alongside them in the gravity chambers and testing their Su Ma skill in the ring, it’s finally time for your own training to begin.

However, before you could start, Freeza called a meeting with many of the upper level leadership. You and Meloka attended, of course, along with King Vegeta, Arctus, Captain Ginyu, Sorbet, Abo and Cado, and a few other soldiers and officials you somewhat recognize. Once everyone is seated, Freeza turns to a corner of the room, gesturing for the cloaked Yautja to step forward. He does so, startling those who couldn’t sense his energy as he seemingly appears before them.

“Woman and gentlemen, the halfway mark of this war is almost upon us.” Freeza says, as the Yautja inserts some sort of memory unit into the holotable. A planet appears, orbited by several moons and what appears to be a massive fleet of Covenant warships. “This, is Sangheilos. Homeworld of the Sangheili, and their most heavily-defended planet. Once we’ve captured this planet, phase two of our war shall commence!”

“We’re actually taking that planet?” King Vegeta asks him, brows furrowed. “Shouldn’t we simply destroy it from orbit, and keep going?”
“I agree with King Vegeta.” Sorbet says, also seemingly concerned. “I don’t doubt our brave soldiers’ resolve and power, but wouldn’t it be smarter to simply destroy everything in one fell swoop?”
While, yes, it would be more efficient in the short term to destroy everything, it wouldn’t be advisable.” Freeza says, turning to his cousin. “Care to explain, Arctus?”
“Of c-hic-course.” the always-drunk Arctus says, rising unsteadily to his feet. “To make a long story really short, we only have two months of supplies left on board.”

Dead silence grips the room, everyone considering the consequences a moment before he continues.

“While we could push on, and maybe even close the gap between us and High Charity, we wouldn’t be in fighting shape.” he says, like a doctor announcing a disease. “And, I can’t speak for the rest of you, but I don’t much fancy being trapped on a ship with no food, and thousands of starving Saiyans. No offence, Vegeta.”
“None taken.” your king replies. “While I can enforce order amongst my people, at least for a time, nothing destroys group cohesion and order like mass starvation. Even if the majority of us somehow survived that and still reached High Charity, we’d be severely weakened by our hunger. Not to mention, we’d then have to travel back.”

“I hadn’t even considered the return trip.” Ginyu says, pondering deeply. “Quite the conundrum we have ourselves here. We have to assault the largest enemy force in space yet, then completely conquer while not destroying the planet below. Not an easy task we have on our hands, Lord Freeza.”
“Were it easy, I’d have dispatched the Ctarl-Ctarl.” Freeza replies, several people chuckling at that. “But now we have to figure out how to assault this massive fortress. Any ideas?”

Don't want to rush this, we'll need full force for w/e they got and don't want to leave our ships defenseless. Let's avoid IT for now as well. Unfortunately they may get time to prepare bit they've already been prepping for this battle if we're being honest with ourselves.

Points and counterpoints are thrown back and forth for at least half an hour before your plan of attack is decided. Freeza and Arctus, since they can breathe in space, will begin the battle by directly attacking the enemy fleet. As the enemy mobilizes to attack them, the rest of you will deploy planetside and begin the battle there. That decided you leave the details to the others, you and Meloka leaving via Instant Transmission and returning to your bedroom. Once there, Meloka eases back onto the bed, and has you create a simple ball of ki in your hand. That first night she pushes you to manipulate it, changing it into many different shapes. At first your energy is surprisingly unflexible, it taking you an unexpected amount of mental force to shape it.

“No no no, you’re not thinking about it right.” she’d said, two days into your nightly training. “It’s not like an enemy you’re trying to beat into submission, it’s your own energy. It is you. Just think of how you want it to move, and let it flow. Don’t try and force it, or your own energy will resist this effort.”

When she says this something clicks in your head, as if it’s something you should have known. Or maybe always known, but never consciously thought of. Once Meloka helps you achieve this revelation, manipulating your own energy in these simple ways becomes child’s play.

“Excellent.” your wife says, as a few nights later you have one ki ball manipulated into every basic shape holding and floating by you simultaneously. “Now we can get past the basics, and onto what’s next.”
“Wait, what?” you ask, confused. Your wife only grins cheekily in response, and sure enough you soon realize just how easy those previous efforts were. As the days pass, Meloka calls upon you to perform more and more complicated and convoluted exertions of your ki. After two weeks of intense effort, she taught you one of her more skill-intensive techniques: the Warding Eyes.

“Yes! That’s it!” she shouted excitedly, the pair of sizeable energy orbs orbiting you slowly. This technique is surprisingly simple, once you’ve figured out how it works. You create a few of the Homing Ki Bombs, setting them on an orbiting path around you without letting them leave the space your aura occupies around you. However, each additional sphere turns into another layer of intensity, you only able to hold onto a few orbs at once without losing control of them and causing them to spiral away from you. But that isn’t all you learned. In fact, learning to manipulate your ki better resulted in several different improvements across your skillset.
cont

-Warding Eyes learned-
>>
>>4417602
Each of your techniques has improved with your increased competency, you making each energy construct at least twice as fast. Your blades and javelins are sharper, explosions far more fierce, and your Barriers far more sturdy. But the biggest improvements are to your finishing attacks, the Final Flash and Event Horizon. With this improved skill in manipulating ki, you found out the day before the battle that you can combine the seperate energies of these techniques far faster and vastly increase their destructive output when testing from atop the Lucrehulk. But all too soon, the month of peace draws to a close. Your Lucrehulk closes in on the Sangheili homeworld, everyone aboard the warship feeling the pre-battle tension.

“Promise me something.” Meloka says to you, the final night you both are in bed before the battle. “Promise me that, no matter what happens, you’ll come back to me. To us.”

And as she says that last bit, brings your hand down to rest on the soon-to-be-born Karn Jr.

“Promise me.” she says again, almost desperately.
“I promise.” you say to her, holding your wife close. “I will do whatever it takes to bring you both home.”
“Thanks, hu-nrrrg!” she says, then suddenly her entire body tenses up. A moment later you feel it. “I-I think my water just broke!”
“Oh shit.” you say, gently picking your wife up out of bed and flying down the stairs, not bothering with meaningless things like dressing. You fly through the common area into Dr. White’s office, the older man still behind his desk. But as you fly in, carrying Meloka over to a table beside a smaller healing pod he had added over the last month with Meloka’s pregnancy coming to an end, he knows what’s happening. Shuffling over while speaking into his scouter, you set her down then stand behind her, clasping her hands with your own. But after a moment you’re forced to Ascend, your wife’s grip nearly shattering your hands.

“Yes, get down here now.” Dr. White says, as he examines your wife. “It’s happening.”
“Don’t let go.” she says, clutching onto your hands desperately. “I’m scared. Please don’t let go Karn.”
“I’m not going anywhere.” you reply, holding onto your wife as she clutches you for dear life. “I’ll be right here. I promise.”

What follows are some of the most anxious hours of your life, your wife’s screams at parts making your skin crawl and blood run cold. Her fighting to birth your child leaves you feeling helpless, only able to hold onto her hands as she screams and cries in agony. But after several long, exhausting hours, it’s finally over.
cont
>>
>>4417604
Over your wife’s pained sobs you begin hearing a second set of cries. And moments later, from the other end of the table, you see Dr. White holding a child. Your child. Dr. White swaddles Karn Jr. in white cloth, then hands your son to Meloka.

“Here. Your son.” he says, then rests his hand on her shoulder as she lets go of your hands and gingerly clutches your son. “You did well Meloka.”

You don’t even think she hears him, your wife’s gaze fixated on your newest son as she sobs. But unlike before, which were tears of agony, now she cries for a different reason. Karn Jr. cries, shocked at being removed from your wife and facing a whole new world. But as both of you gently speak to him soothingly, your boy soon settles down, sleeping in your wife’s arms.

“W-We did it.” she says, still seemingly shellshocked.
“You did it hun.” you say, kissing Meloka’s forehead then chuckling. “I wasn’t the one pregnant after all.”
“He’s beautiful.” she say, clearly exhausted but still unable to look away from the child she worked so hard to bring into this world. “Wait, is that-?”
“Yeah.” you say, both of you seeing something clearly different about this son. Instead of the usual black, his hair is a conspicuous light golden hue. And that’s not all, when he opens his eyes and sees you both for the first, his eyes are an unmistakable green. “Can it really be?”

“Born a Super Saiyan, he is.” Dr. White says, bringing over a drink for your wife’s now-raw throat. She sips it gently, trying not to cough on it. “Many things we do not yet know about your son’s condition. We’ll monitor him, and make sure nothing happens.”
“Th-Thanks doc.” you say, your own voice choking up as your son looks at you curiously. But as you talk, Karn Jr. smiles at you. And as he does, you feel every ounce of your exhaustion and apprehension fade at his innocence. Your heart surges, feeling a sense of resolve you’d never felt so intensely burn a new purpose into your heart and soul. You will do whatever, WHATEVER it takes to come back, and take care of your wife and children.

After a few minutes both Meloka and Karn Jr. are sleeping soundly, no doubt exhausted through what they went through. You carry your wife and youngest son upstairs, laying them to bed.

But what about you?

“Sleep tight you two.” you say, resting a hand on each of their heads a moment before letting them go, taking a few steps back and sitting in the floor. Crossing your legs, you take the seated position New Salda’s Guardian Raven had taught you, then sigh out. You’re thankful that it’s finally over, closing your eyes and beginning to meditate. As your emotions are wild and almost out of control, you need to settle your mind down and relax. And so you do, taking deep breaths in and exhaling everything out. After a half-hour or so you feel your body’s finally back under your control and calmed down enough for you to think clearly. Your son is a Super Saiyan!

Unlike yourself, Broly, or any Saiyan you’ve ever heard of for that matter, your son was seemingly born into the Super Saiyan state. You wonder what sort of effects that could have on him growing up, and just how much potential for growth this kid has, when suddenly everything feels wrong. The back of your right hand begins burning, Towa’s seal alerting you to enemy time travelers. Your eyes snap open as you rise to your feet, seeing a rather unexpected figure.

“Woah, woah, easy there killer.” Fu says, hands up and taking a half-step back from you. “I’m not here to cause any trouble. I’m just here to see the little guy. Not often a Super Saiyan is actually born, most ascend later on in life due to a traumatic loss. I haven’t actually seen one, and I’ve visited over one thousand timelines.”
“You do ANYTHING suspicious, and I’ll end you.” you reply, flashing up into your Ascended Berserker form. “Got that?”
“I’m not gonna touch either of them, physically or with my power.” he replies, you nodding once. Watching him like a hawk and standing by his shoulder, Fu approaches your sleeping wife and child with his hands laced together behind his back. “Incredible. Such a rare child. What’s his name?”

“Karn Jr.” you reply, staring intensely at him. Having seen your son with his own eyes he backs up, turning to you with a serious expression.
“Keep your son safe.” he says, surprising you with how serious he now seems. “With such a rare birth, he will doubtlessly be hunted by the enemy.”
“The enemy?” you ask, brow furrowing again. “You mean that demon Chaya warned me of? What was his name, Mecha? Mechi?”
“Mechikabura.” Fu says, deadly serious. “An ancient demon god, revived to overthrow both Dumplin and the Supreme Kai of Time. And, I’m afraid he probably can. Dumplin and Chronoa have allied up to combat him, but even with Ace and your Chaya fighting together, they don’t have the power to stop him. So that’s where you come in.”
“Me?” you ask, confused.
cont
>>
>>4417779
“What do I have to do with this?” you ask him.
“Your power, that Divine Dragon Force, is something I’ve been studying.” he says, you feeling a chill run up your spine. Having people spying on you from another dimension that you can’t stop is still unnerving. “And I believe, if you land a single hit on him with it, you will be able to end him.”
“What about Future Chaya?” you ask him. “She was given her Dragon Force by me from her timeline, just before his death. Can’t she do the same?”
“Something in it changed as it switched owners.” he replied. “We tested it, it cannot transform as yours did. Right now, yours is the only one of it’s kind I’ve found.”

“Interesting.” Dragon Force says, materializing around your arm and speaking to the demon. “So, do you have some insight into how my powers work?”
“Unfortunately, no.” he says, addressing your Stand directly and surprising both of you. “But I do know one thing. When it absorbed that body snatcher Zamasu’s divine ki, the essence of that energy changed into something far more destructive.”
“More destructive?” you ask, more confused than before. “Like what?”
“I can’t say any more, she’s about to interfere.” he says, then with a two-finger salute vanishes. Your demonic seal calms immediately, meaning Fu has vanished. But that just leaves you alone with more questions than answers. You return to your meditations, but neither you nor Dragon Force can figure out anything further about what sort of power it wields. Being unable to sense divine ki also doesn’t help.

Yet all too soon the call goes out, rallying everyone to the wings to prepare for battle. You rise to your feet, glancing back to your still-sleeping wife and son.

What now?

You decide to wake her up, placing your hand on her shoulder and gently shaking her.

“Hey hun, wake up.” you say to her. “You gonna get up and see everyone off?”
“Mrrrhrrrmm.” she replies groggily, shifting herself around a bit. But then freezes, feeling the weight of her son sleeping peacefully in her arms. Her eyes shoot open, immediately looking down at Karn Jr. still sleeping peacefully. She smiles at him, her face absolutely radiant. You’d never seen her look so unbelievably happy and at peace before, the two of them radiating with something you’d not felt before. You feel a happiness, a contentedness you’d never felt before looking at your wife holding onto your sleeping son. “Is it time to go?”

“Yeah, the call just went out.” you tell her, quickly getting dressed into your full suit and armor. Once dressed you take your sleeping son from her, letting your wife get dressed as well. As your take your son, holding him for the first time, Karn Jr. wakes up. His eyes open sleepily, looking around until his eyes meet yours. He sees you, eyes widening. “Hey kiddo. Sleep good?”
“Aah!” he says, recognizing you. “AaaAAH!”
“Heh heh, good.” you say, ruffling his golden hair as your wife puts on her gi. You notice she’s moving a bit slower than usual, no doubt still exhausted from yesterday’s ordeal. “Your old man’s gotta go to work, you take care of your mother, okay?”
“Aaaaah!” he replies, you smiling and chuckling at his innocence.
“C’mon little Karn, back to momma.” Meloka says, grabbing him from you and holding him to her chest. “Daddy’s gotta go to work. Let’s go cheer him on, okay?”

“Aaah aaah!” Karn Jr. says, clutching at her gi as you raise your right hand to your forehead. Your wife leans her head against you, and after a moment you use your Instant Transmission. One moment you’re inside your bedroom, and the next you and Meloka are standing with your students.
“There you are Karn, we were wo-“ Fannel says, the much-larger Saiyan man freezing as he sees who Meloka’s holding. “Wait. I-Is that?”
“Hey everyone, there’s someone I want you to meet.” you say, addressing your team. “Last night, Meloka brought our son into the world. Say hello to Karn Jr.”

Your students all curiously observe your son, many commenting on the fact he’s less than a half-day old and already a Super Saiyan. But after a few minutes of mostly the younger women Saiyans gushing over him, you decide to address everyone. Holding onto your wife, you rise up on top of the nearest gravity chamber, and speak out to everyone nearby.

>>

“Alright, listen up!” you call, your students and dozens of other Saiyans all turn towards you. “Last night, my wife gave birth to our son. I would do anything to protect them. But today, we’re diving headfirst into hell. I won’t lie to you, this will be one of the most dangerous fights since the Siege of New Salda.”
“Which one?” an unfamiliar voice calls out, causing a nervous chuckle to run through the crowd.
“Exactly!” you shout back, pressing onward. “So when we’re down there, remember what it is you’re fighting for. Remember who it is you’re fighting for. And make sure you kill every last one of them, so you can come back home to them. Now, let’s go! To victory!”

The gathered crowd roars with cheers and applause, you turning from them to Meloka and Karn Jr. to say your own goodbyes as the final call to board the pods goes out.

“I will come back.” you tell your wife, sharing a brief and passionate kiss with her before kneeling, looking your son in the eyes. “I promise.”
“Aaah! Aaaaah!” he replies, waving his arms a bit wildly. You chuckle, ruffling his hair and giving Meloka a final, brief hug before leaping down, getting into your Attack Pod. The door hisses shut as it seals, moments later you feeing the shake as it launches. This is it. The Battle for Sanghelios has finally begun!

I'm gonna assume he only got more interested in Karn after the last siege (and after we popped him in the face) and decided to check out how he developed in other timelines. Seems like a given when you take into account how big a factor Karn's existence is to the usual galactic timeline.

So now I wonder if our little boy can actually even go down to a normal base saiyan form or if this simply is his base form. Really, you mean of all the saiyans ever born hes the only one actually born SSJ? Now thats legitimately interesting.
>>

Considering most saiyans spend millenia thinking it's a myth or legend and most super saiyans just treat the form as a punch harder button it isn't that far fetched to believe that this kinda stuff doesn't happen.

Also most Saiyans probably get wiped out in most timelines pretty early on for being supremely violent and dangerous.

It's a very happy news Karn Jr is at last here.
He is already in a Super Saiyan.
>Did he ever in his whole existence been in a non transformed state?
>Can he power down into a "base form".
>Is Super Saiyan his base form?
Many mysteries. I'm looking forward to find out as time goes on.
>>4417779
>>4417784
Even Fu has visited and he never seen a child like this.
That's very nice of him to bring warning that Mechikabura may soon have evil intentions towards Karn Jr.
And it's nice to bring the information on Divine Dragon Force.
>Perhaps our Divine Dragon Force is so different because everything Karn went through and did shaped it onto what it had become.
Chaya's lived her life differently and therefore her Dragon Force that she received from Karn that died in different timeline does not have what our Divine Dragon Force has.
>>4417910
>>4417913
>Now, let’s go! To victory!”
>The gathered crowd roars with cheers and applause, you turning from them to Meloka and Karn Jr. to say your own goodbyes as the final call to board the pods goes out.
>“I will come back.” you tell your wife, sharing a brief and passionate kiss with her before kneeling, looking your son in the eyes. “I promise.”
It's really the beginning of the biggest battle so far right now.
>>
>>4418007
You have no idea how powerful this child could become.
>>4418033
Probably not. Although, we DO know they were allied up. Perhaps he cooked something special up for them...
>>4418122
Ha.
>>4418327
Why would he? He wanted to see a child that was exceptionally rare in his experience. And gives him new directions to research in.

Yes. And Karn is a great double-crit student. Mechikabura’s a cautious one. And has no doubt seen what you’re capable of. A Stand is a reflection of the user’s psyche, and is heavily influenced by their experiences.

I wanted to post it immediately right after this:

Each time I tried to make this post it said "post successful" and nothing happened. Now finally long after first attempt it's done.

>And that’s it for tonight, everyone enjoying part II of this thread so far?
Yes.
>Ready to finally touch down, and take the fight directly to the splitjaws?
Yes, very much.
>Curious how Fu knows about Dragon Force,
While he was searching for everything he could found in various timelines he found out about existence of the Arrow. He stole it from that timeline and then used it on himself.
He survived but he managed to attain Stand for himself.
He is now a Stand user too.
But he keeps his own Stand a secret for now.
>and more importantly what other secrets he’s hiding?
Lots of them, things we probably did not even heard of.

>>4417935
>To the rest the anons, make sure to kill an extra split jaw scumbag for me will ya?
We will do what we can to kill as many splitjaws as possible.

So this will be a really huge battle.

I'm curious if that will be true.

>>4418340
> What do you all think the chances are of a towa time traveling in our timeline someday and taking a nefarious from before they died to help defeat us?
Time Breaker Nefarious? Bad news, but it may be possible, especially since some of the Towas dislike our Towa and Karn very much.
>Getting Nefarious (someone who hates Karn and Saiyans so much) and giving him more resources and technology to build things designed to kill Karn.
Maybe one of the Towas is already making it real.

>Perhaps he cooked something special up for them...
Ultron? Or some growing AI tech child.

Also glad to see Fuu around for once, admittedly wasn't the worst thing in the world when he stopped by. The wannabe step-child certainly is growing on me, regardless though I doubt this is purely from the kindness of his heart. I suppose Karn's timeline having two anomalies is what lured him to us. It's hard to know if he's trying to prep us and stack us up, or if he's just fattening us up for a slaughter house. Maybe Fuu's actually aiming to take the role of Demon god himself? Or is that 3rd party not Fuu, but a fragment or weakened Demigra instead?
>>
>>4418371
>Yes. And Karn is a great double-crit student. Mechikabura’s a cautious one. And has no doubt seen what you’re capable of. A Stand is a reflection of the user’s psyche, and is heavily influenced by their experiences.
Oh god i realized Divine Dragon Force is the way it is because of how absolutely permapissed at all the stupid shit the divine have pulled the entire timeline. While Future Chaya dislikes the time loli, it is purely the time loli she is mad at and even that isn't to the level Karn probably is. Karn has yet to see a single divine being out of the very many that he has run into that don't completely disappoint or piss him off. It's why all its powers seem to be things that specifically should normally belong to divine territory, hes essentially a divine usurper out of sheer salt.
>>
>>4418380
He’s seen the wins Karn absolutely should not have gotten, but did anyways. When you live as long as he has, and are finally revived, only a fool recklessly engages with a chance of failure.

Probably.
Glad you enjoyed. And if he is a user, no doubt he’d keep his ability hidden. Yes, this battle will be something quite intense.

Launching from the safefy of the Lucrehulk’s shields, you immediately expand your ki sense to better gauge the situation you’re flying into. And, to your surprise, the first thing yoy sense is Golden Freeza’s absolutely monstrous power. His strength dwarfs everything nearby, power radiating from him like a star and almost masking everyone else. But after a few seconds concentration you’re able to ignore his overwhelming strength, and get a better sense of the battle raging in space. The enemy fleet between you and Sanghelios is gone, no living being between you and your objective. But their fleet, however, is trying to maneuver into surrounding the Lucrehulk, trapping it between themselves and the planet. Yet as every three seconds or so goes by, another mass of enemy ki suddenly vanish. No doubt killed by your gold-plated friend, who’s energy is radiating from well above the ship itself. No doubt drawing the enemy’s attention, and allowing you all to approach Sanghelios much more safely.

“Everyone, we’re approaching atmosphere. Prepare for entry.” Vegeta says over the shipwide comms, and less than a second later you feel the familiar jolt as you begin to feel the planet’s pull on your ship. However it’s much weaker than you’re used to, you having spent a lot of time over the last month preparing your students in much more intense gravity than this. “Now! Go go go!”

And just as he’d planned, once inside the atmosphere you all open the Attack Pods and leap from them. Within moments of entering atmosphere, dozens of powerful beams begin firing up at you all from the planet’s surface. And while dodging them would be child’s play for you, not everyone on this mission is on your level. In fact, almost none of them are anywhere close. So instead of charging aheadyou focus, and with a shout unleash your ki.

“Super Barrier!!” you roar, your rapidly-expanding sphere of energy deflecting beams fired anywhere close to you. And with your newfound talent, your Super Barrier is easily more than twice it’s original size. Hundreds of your fellow Saiyans form up behind you, ready to follow you headfirst into battle.

But where do you start?
>Fly straight down, take out whoever’s firing those cannons and set up a position
>Focus on whoever’s got the largest ki on this planet, and carve a path of destruction right towards ‘em
>Stay in the air, have your allies fire down and level the area beneath you all while behing able to swiftly behind your shield to avoid retaliation
>Hold position, let them get the Power Balls up behind you then drop the shield as your Oozaru allies descend upon the Covenant

“Stay behind my shield when they’re firing!” you roar, voice audible over the sound of their beams striking your Barrier. “Then dash out and fire back! I don’t want a single injury up here, understood?”
“SIR!!” dozens of Saiyans shout in response. You focus on keeping the Barrier going, protecting your allies until you all have a safe place to land.

“I’ll do it!” Lattu shouts, your disciple shouts as she transforms into a Super Saiyan. “Salat, cover me!”
“Right!” her elder says, both flying out past your shield. As Lattu clears it she gathers her ki, it glowing bright in her hands. And with a shout she tosses both, the orbs splitting into Scattershots that rain down on their weapons systems’ shields. Unfortunately they don’t give, Salat sniping a beam of energy aimed at her with one of his own before they both retreat behind your shield.
“Stand aside.” Nappa says, shoving past the crowd and passing through your barrier. “Let me show you how it’s done. Watch and learn, this is how you bypass those little shields.”

Floating outside the shields, you feel his energy gathering not just inside himself but also in the ground beneath the enemy. Raising his hand, and pointing skyward with his hand, the ground beneath you all erupts. There is a flash of light, then the gathered energy explodes. And while those Covenant shields are effective at stopping direct attacks, they never developed them to shield their bases from below.

“Now, go go go!” Nappa shouts, everyone charging down planetside where their anti-air weapons won’t be effective. Within moments you touch down in the massive crater, ending your Barrier as it’s no longer as effective. “Now THAT’S how you make an entrance!”
“Everyone, move out!” Vegeta orders, the Saiyan King quickly asserting control over his people. “Power Ball teams one two and three, take to the skies over us once the vanguard has transformed down here and have begun their assault.”
“SIR!!” many voices call out, you feeling that familiar tingling sensation as the light from several Power Balls all strike your tail at once. You feel the primal urge to look at them, to transform into your bestial form and rampage until the enemy are destroyed. But you manage to resist that urge, at least for now. There are more important things to do then mindlessly rampage.

Such as?
>Find the absolute strongest Covenant being here, and Instant Transmission to it. With any luck you’ll find this new Arbiter before it can attack

“Vegeta.” say, walking over to the king as you transform into your massive, Berserker form. “You ready?”
“Of course!” he replies, clenching his left fist and taking his Ascended form. “Everyone in the vanguard, follow us!”
“GWRROOOOAAAAR!!” dozens of Oozaru bellow as you and King Vegeta leap out from the crater. Unsurprisingly hundreds of Covenant, many in vehicles, sight the two of you in and immediately begin firing.

“GRRRRAAAAA!!” you roar, shrugging off their attacks and shoulder charging the nearest Covenant tank. You hit it so hard you charge into the vehicle, it exploding around you. But you don’t stop there, dashing from the cloud of smoke you grab another tank by the bumper. Without hesitation you lift it straight into the air, then with another primal roar slam it down atop another. Meanwhile King Vegeta takes a more precise approach, throwing a pair of cutting energy discs through two seperate tanks then charging in. You can’t see what exactly he’s doing, as there’s too many enemies between you, but from the explosions you know he’s on the attack.
“GWWRRRROOOOAAAARR!!!” another Oozaru bellows as it leaps over you both, slamming down fists-first into the thick of the action. More and more Oozaru follow the first, and the Covenant’s lines are swiftly broken. Vehicles are mangled left and right, mouth blasts obliterating the outer buildings of the nearest fortress with ease. “RRRRRROOOOOAAAAAAAARRR!!”

The ferocious war cry is bellowed from dozens of massive throats, signaling that this battle has well and truly begun. Less than a minute into the assault their air forces begin arriving, doing their best to try and slow down the Oozaru assault. But their fighters’ shields can’t withstand one of their powerful mouth blasts, much less getting grabbed out of the air and crushed in a giant fist or swatted to the ground and exploding in a fireball. Their technology may be sophisticated, but it’s no match for a mob of angry Saiyans. Yet despite your allies’ ferocity, they simply can’t keep up with you and the king. Your powers each eclipse the other Saiyans, and with your power the two of you remain on the front line of the battle.

“Is that all?” Vegeta asks, decapitating a Sangheili tank gunner with a single kick then flips, tossing a small ball of ki inside it. A moment later the vehicle explodes just as the king lands, Vegeta calmly walking forward without looking back. “Hmph! Allow me to show you what real power is!”

“HRAAAAAAAA!!” King Vegeta roars, throwing his arms wide and quickly gathering his power. After a few seconds he slams his palms together, readying a Final Flash to fire into a densely-packed area of Covenant. “Eat this! Scatter Flash!”

As he shouts your king fires the usual beam of golden energy, but instead of firing it directly at the enemy the blast curves upward into the sky. You wonder what the hell he’s doing when suddenly it explodes, hundreds of smaller golden blasts raining down over a wide area of the city. Your ki sense let you feel it as thousands of Covenant Sangheili all die in his massive, area-of-effect attack.

“Hmph. Not so tough after all, huh?” he asks the smoking ruins that were once a city, the Oozaru behind you both all roaring into the sky defiantly, challenging the Covenant to throw their best at you all. Vegeta then turns to you, looking curiously to so. “So, Karn; is it true?”
“Is what true?” you ask, unsure what he’s talking about.
“That your newest son was born a Super Saiyan.” he says, as if that should be obvious. “I heard rumors, but-“
“Yeah, he was.” you say, as the Oozaru charge past you all and continue the attack. “And I have it on good authority that it’s not something that happens everyday.”
“I see.” is all he says to that, then after a moment’s silence. “Want to continue pressing the attack? Or do you have another idea?”

Well?

“Nah, it looks like you’ve got this side under control.” you tell him, raising your right hand’s first two fingers to your forehead. “I’ll take the battle to them, as only I can.”
“Be careful.” Vegeta replies seriously. “No doubt they’ve got something planned for you.”
“Of course they do.” you say, expanding your ki sense. “But I’m not simply waltzing into a confrontation they’ve prepared for me. I plan to cause a little chaos, and obliterate a few groups from the inside.”
“Hmph. Good luck.” he replies, you focusing on the enemy ki you’ve locked onto, and teleport. One instant you’re standing in the ruins of a city, the next you’re in the middle of what seems to be some sort of armory. Sangheili are getting armed and armored, most in various stages of dressing when suddenly you’re simply there.

“Wha-?” is all the one who saw you has had to say, as you unleash your power with a roar.
“GRRRRRYAAAAAAA!!” you bellow, unleashing your ki in a massive Explosive Wave. Your blindingly bright energy rips the Sangheili, the building, and even their energy shields apart as it explodes forth from you. After a half-dozen seconds you end the attack, sighing out as the glow fades and reveals your attack’s aftermath. You find yourself in a cratered-out building, a few Sangheili gawking at you in awe from dozens of yards away. The room they were in is simply gone, nothing remaining of their room a foot or so past their own feet. You meet their gazes and smirk, raising your hand again to your forehead. “Later.”

And before those few survivors can react you’re gone, teleporting away to another group of powerlevels somewhere in the tens of millions on the other side of their world. Your repeat performance goes much the same as the first, obliterating another mass of Sangheili warriors before they can put up a defense. You teleport over and over again, obliterating pockets of gathering resistance while not staying in one place too long. But as the fourth explosion fades, you see that the enemy are learning. A half-dozen Sangheili wearing unique red and goldisharmor cluster together inside a spherical energy shield, the device sputtering and dying as your own attack fully fades.

“Well well, what have we here?” you ask the group, smirking as you crack your knuckles. “A few of you survived, huh?”
“Demon, we shall eliminate you ourselves.” one says, six Energy Blades all springing to life as one. But as you take your fighting stance, ready to attack them, they all vanish. Both physically and their ki, you can’t see or sense anything.
“Shit!” you think to yourself, hands going to your weapons. “Dammit, this could be tricky.”

After a second’s thought, you think of a way you can possibly take them down. So without further hesitation you draw your Gravity Hammer with your left hand, slamming it down onto the ground in front of you with a single smooth motion. As it strikes the ground it releases it’s usual shockwave, kicking up a cloud of dust as it expands. You watch the disturbed dust carefully, and as the cloud expands out you see it! The outline of one of the Sangheili warriors becomes visible, and you react. Without a second’s wait you dash forward, drawing your ancient Wolf Knight’s sword and swinging it down with your full power. The Sangheili can’t react fast enough, your blade slicing clean through it’s invisible body. As you blade crashes into the ground both halves of the Sangheili become visible, flopping down lifelessly beside your blade.

“Hmph.” you scoff, then before you can free the ancient sword your instincts suddenly begin screaming in warning. So you spin counterclockwise, swinging the Gravity Hammer behind you. Yet instead of firing off another shockwave two Sangheili become visible, their swords catching your hammer on the shaft.

“Huh?” you say, turning back towards your right. As you do, you see a glowing blue orb stick right onto the center of your chest armor. “Fu-!”

BOOM

The grenade explodes right against your armor, and despite it being harder than any suits made before, it still cracks under the sudden blast of energy. The glowing blue energy expands out, scorching your arms and face as more seeps between the cracks and burns your torso. You seethe as the energy scorches you, the blast kicking up a cloud of dust that blinds you. Fortunately it blinds the enemy as well, giving you a moment to collect yourself. Which you do, jerking the ancient blade from the ground and sweeping it from left to right to blow away the smoke. And, unsurprisingly, the five remaining splitjaws are nowhere to be seen.

“Is that all?” you ask the empty room. But, unfortunately, it wasn’t all. Not by a long shot. Again your instincts warn you of danger, this time from above. However, you barely have time to look up before one of their warships’ massive glassing cannons fire. You take the hit directly, the powerful stream of energy slamming you down hard into the ground. As the energy slams down onto your back, your armor absorbing what it can while the rest burns your skin, you can’t help but wonder: how did that ship possibly get into place so fast?

Thanks for the run gd, was a good read to get back to. That said, we've only just started the battle and we've taken quite a bit of damage. After this we'll need to back off a bit, regroup with another heavy hitter like Vegeta or Nappa. Or Bardock? Is he here? But yeah this really hit us hard, as it'll mean Karn won't be able to go full throttle but it's best we play defensive until we recover enough. Could also sit around guarding the Powerball in case they send a Stand User.

So, it would appear that we need to up our game when it comes to perceiving entities.
We could try and do it the old fashioned way and just sense disturbances in the currents of the air.
Alternatively we could try and work around the visual factor of their stealth with some new tech. If I remember right, Covenant cloaking tech doesn't mask heat signatures, so infrared might be worth looking into.
Past that, we could just try and push our current ki sense to the absolute limit to try and brute force past their new tech innovations.

Because they’d be big, immobile targets that’re easily destroyed. As Karn showed quite effectively back in the failed Siege of New Salda.

>And that’s episode 138 in the bag, everyone enjoying the ride? Ready to continue taking the battle to the splitjaws, and show them the power of the true warrior race? All this and more, next time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest!
Yes, it was lot of fun.
Sadly the battle just started and we already took damage, but sometimes it happens.
>>4419063
>Nah just constantly surround yourself with monomolecular sized ki blades that rotate at hurricane force speeds.
This is cool idea, but also something that is probably very hard to at the moment.
Though we could make a little step towards it. Perhaps with our newly improved Ki Manipulation we could improvise something that would work a bit like constant radar against those hidden Sangheili.
Once we move away from the energy beam that just hit Karn we can:
>Focus on Ki Energy and try to send it out of our body.
>In a manner that is a bit like super explosive wave, but not that hard and not this much.
>And a bit more similar to a scatter shot.
>So a spray of many very, very little Ki balls that fly outwards from us in all directions.
>Invisible splitjaw that will get too close to the swarm will cause them to collide with himself.
>His silhouette will become visible to even a naked eye.
>The very little exploding Ki balls is something we can sense, so when attacker collides with them even behind our back where we don't look, we can still sense it.
At the moment I'm thinking there is pretty much no counter for this.

It has some downsides though:
>The spray of mini Ki balls in all directions will get more dispersed at larger range, so it will not be as precise in detection, and easier to avoid.
>They can throw huge rocks or something in the swarm to interfere with our "radar"
>It uses energy
Though once we get enough skill we can just do it like Meloka does it:
>and have those little balls orbit around us like multitude of little sparks, so we don't waste energy.
>They would only explode when something hits them, so that would be more energy efficient.

Or perhaps a different maybe simpler idea.
>Not sure if it can be done.
>But maybe if we flare our emerald aura.
>Maybe a bit like in the picture but larger, again in all directions .
>Could it be something that would interfere with invisible beings.
>It would make them visible like when you put a glass(something translucent) in a stream of water.

Locke (portrayed by Mike Colter, mostly known for his previous stint as Luke Cage) is a character introduced in Halo 5 to essentially replace Chief. Now I'm all for passing the torch, but the way it was handled was a fucking mess, and it's further muddied by the fact that they try wayyyyyyyyyyy too hard to make this brand new character stack up in a metaphorical dick measuring contest with Chief.
To try and further legitimize him as a major character in the universe, the remastered versions of the Bungie era games have Locke retroactively appear in various places as well as being mentioned where he otherwise didn't exist.
>>
>>4420388
Ultra Special OC Do Not Steal that was made by 343 to beat up and replace Master Chief as main character for diversity. Also the producers of Halo 5 didn't know Master Chief was the main character and thought they could brush him under the rug. In short 343 sucks Antifa dick.

Think about this for a minute. They cannot(or could not) sense ki, but now their cloaking tech hides ki. How did they make that technological jump, do you think? Also, that wasn’t that he made it appear that way with a massive illusion. Instead, that being used their minds against them, and showed them what they wanted to see. Any good illusionist knows the best ally is your enemy’s own mind.

It would appear that their new strategist was at least familiar with the concept of Ki as well as our usage of it. Maybe it's somebody who's dealt with the Saiyans before?
As far as I know, most races in the galaxy aren't really aware of Ki as a concept, even if they can channel it, so anybody who actually knows enough about it to develop tech specifically to get around our ability to sense Ki would have to be familiar with it in some way.
>>
>>4420677
>How did they make that technological jump
Probably that faggot Nefarious
>>
>>4420677
If I was a covenant cuck, I might try using Destron Gas in some way to cloak ki.
On a different note, if you were to make Plasma weapons that use superheated Destron Gas, it'd be crazy good at killing strong foes.
>>
>>4420733
If the Destron Gas is superheated, wouldn't it just vaporize?
>>
>>4420740
The covenant's plasma weaponry keeps the material contained with a magnetic sheath. It'd be forced into a Plasma state but kept cleanly together just long enough to melt through the armor and flesh of the enemy you're shooting it at.
Their weapons are way more brutal in the novels than they are in the games, and rightfully so.
>>
>>4420747
Now generally you would work against that with energy shields like they do.
But the thinking man (and the financially conscious man) came up with a much more economic and readily available solution.
Just make thicker plates for armor.
There's a reason the majority of an ODST's training is just PT.
>>
>>4420757
There is better solution, comrade
If you kill the enemy first, they cannot shoot you
For they are too busy being dead to operate magic guns

By God, the solution was right in front of our eyes all this time.
I'm putting you up for promotion.
>>
>>4420677
So since our Ki control is getting better, let me float a technique by you.
You remember when Cell was building his arena for the Cell Games?
Specifically pic related, when he picked up a massive piece of stone and carved it mid-air.
Now imagine that, but applied to an opponent instead.
We already have the first part mastered, we just have to learn how to cut when we get a hold of something.
Would that fall under greater telekinesis or would it be another Ki manipulation technique?
How hard would it be to master?

Just recently in this exact thread we had a meeting to discuss strategy of conquering the Sanghelios.
Quote from an earlier post:
>>4417389
> However, before you could start, Freeza called a meeting with many of the upper level leadership. You and Meloka attended, of course, along with King Vegeta, Arctus, Captain Ginyu, Sorbet, Abo and Cado, and a few other soldiers and officials you somewhat recognize.
>Once everyone is seated, Freeza turns to a corner of the room, gesturing for the cloaked Yautja to step forward.
>He does so, startling those who couldn’t sense his energy as he seemingly appears before them.
Yautja commonly known as Predators. They can see the heat. Picture related it's what Yautja sees. Though their masks allows them to modify their vision to further enhance their view.
It seems like a possible idea to maybe try take 1 Yautja with us on battlefield so he could test if he can detect the Sangheili warriors hidden by their new cloaking.

I like this idea.
Even if we can't perform such sophisticated move right now, we could always just try to tear the opponent to pieces with telekinesis.
>Or
Do a little temporary mix of 2 independent techniques.
>First grab target with telekinesis to immobilize him.
>Then launch Death Saucer at him to cut him.

Death Saucer seems like nice technique, (quite similar to Kienzan), very lethal.
>So good that Freeza from different timeline cut himself to pieces accidentally with it in Dragon Ball Z on Namek while fighting Goku
I looked at Karn's pastebin though
>unfortunately Karn does not know Death Saucer
> but not all is lost
Karn has a technique called "Death Slash". Quote from pastebin "https://pastebin.com/iPAJeGJn":
> Death Slash- Create a blade of ki that travels from you in a straight line. Extremely sharp, can slice through most known armors including Covenant warships.
>Can be made as small, close-range blades or massive blades large enough to cut entire warships in two.
Awesome technique, with it in Karn's disposal we don't even need Death Saucer, as properly applied Death Slash can cut whatever we need just fine.
>So yeah Telekinesis to immobilize target and quick Death Slash
> seems like a very efficient, fast and deadly combo.

I know we need to resupply on Sanghelios so we're not destroying it, but what about when we're done?
More to the point, what are we gonna do in regards to the planet when the conflict is over?
It would be easier in the short term if we just exterminated the civilian Sangheili population, but that would get rid of any possibility of Détente with arguably the most powerful species in the Covenant after the war.
However, if we do nothing, we'd likely end up having to kill the majority of the Sangheili anyways. They don't seem the type to sit by and watch us ransack their home. Even if we let the infants live, they'll just grow up resentful of the PTO and end up becoming a problem later.
I figure we were gonna have to do this anyways, but we could challenge the more powerful Kaidons after we secure the planet as a way to solidify their defeat.
They're the political leaders and patriarchs of their respective houses, and their prowess in battle is still a concern even in their advanced age. Beating them in formal duels plays directly into the cultural expectations of the Sangheili, so it might just save us the bloodshed and earn us some measure of begrudging respect in the eyes of the civilian population. At the very least, it'd probably give us some breathing room as we stock up on supplies.
>>
>>4421829
Why would we know the difference unless that was brought up in the briefing as a option?
>>
>>4421872
Now that you mention it, it does seem like something only Frieza or Vegeta would really care about since the long term strategies are their business.
I only bring it up outside of the quest itself as the thought didn't occur to me until now and I found it somewhat interesting.

>>4421872
>>4421980
Freeza and some of the higher-ups in the PTO may have discussed their options regarding this. But they would have come to one conclusion.
>>
>>4422237
>Not implanting every splitjaw with explosives at the base of their skull with anti-tamper measures
>Not outfitting every VIP/restricted area with sensors that will set off these explosives if a splitjaw so much as knocks on the door of these places, let alone steps foot inside of them
Splitjaws have no rights. Only those who fight with honor have rights.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 138 Epilogue-

AGE 749, HIVE HOMEWORLD

“D-Dammit.” you say, panting with exhaustion as you see another horde of Hivelings approaching. You are Chilli: son of Karn and Meloka, Super Saiyan, and the very first and only magic wielder amongst the Saiyan race. Holding your magical dagger in your right hand and holding a deep, painful slash to your right ribs with you left, you still stand bloody and unbroken atop a virtual mountain of Hiveling corpses. “They just keep coming.”
“Just one more minute.” Megumin says, her voice soothing you through the scouter despite the worry in her own voice. “Erza and Weiss’s team is on the way, just hold on!”
“I’m not giving up yet.” you say, focusing on the approaching enemy. You might still have just enough magic left in the tamk to pull this off, and if not, well... Let’s just hope you do. Focusing your mind on a single point, you unleash your remaining magic to tear reality asunder. “Dark magic: Black Hole!”

As you unleah the last gasps of your magic, you do manage to create that point of infinite darkness that draws everything and everyone nearby into it. Many in the approaching mob are twisted and torn apart, pulled into that void while it lasts. But your last drops of magic couldn’t sustain such an effort for long, it not even lasting a single second before fading into nonexistence. But it was enough. That well of infinite gravity distorted everything within hundreds of yards, pulling everything towards itself. And while you yourself were more than far enough away to avoid the disastrous effects, the Hivelings weren’t so lucky. The only word for the results of your spell is grotesque, a slaughter of unbelievable brutality. Dropping down to your hands and knees, all you can do is try and gasp for air as your vision dims and head swims. The last thing you see are a pair of boots, then your vision fails entirely.

“Wha-?!” you shout, sitting bolt upright. As you do your forehead cracks into something, it crying out in surprise. Or rather, someone, as you open your eyes you see your little sister Caulifla holding her head with both hands. “Oh, sorry Cauli. You alright?”
“Owws.” she says, rubbing her forehead a moment before shaking her head vigorously then turning to you. “Hey, you finally back to us, huh?”
“How long was I out?” you ask, trying to push yourself back to your feet. But before you can Cauli puts a hand to your chest, and surprisingly another pair of much softer hands grab onto your left arm. Looking over, you see another familiar, worried face. “Hey Megu.”
>>
>>4423819
“You moron.” she says, Megumin flicking you right between the eyes with a finger. She’s somehow really good at it, and even with the enormous differences in power she somehow still makes it sting something fierce. “You used up so much magic it actually stopped your heart. What were you thinking?”
“Good to see you made it back safe.” you reply, ignoring the question much like Dad does when Momma’s angry at him after a big battle. “Sis get you all patched up?”
“I’m fine, just a few minutes of- H-HEY!“ she starts, then realizes what you’re doing. “Oh no, you’re not gettin’ outta this that easily mister! What the hell were you thinking, pushing yourself so hard your stupid heart stoppe-mrhm?!”

And, again as you’d learned from Dad, as she’s getting more and more worked up you lean in and kiss her right on the lips. It shocks her to silence, then a momejt or two after you lean back she’s looking at you, blushing hard.

“I-Idiot.” she mumbles, then leans in for another. “You’re lucky you’re so cute.”
“I know.” you reply, kissing her briefly again before she backs up, grabbing your hands and helping you get up to your feet. Looking around you find yourself in the infirmary, a crashed Dreadzone carrier ship converted into an infirmary for your little sis Caulifla to do her thing without having to worry about being attacked. She quickly utters a prayer over a dozen or so injured Dreadzone contestants, the divine light that envelops her and the injured healing their bodies before your eyes. Ever since that first battle with the half-Hive half-people monsters, she’s been able to command magic you can’t really comprehend. You’d even read the spellbook she’d been given in another time, yet unlike Raven’s spell book made by Aku this one doesn’t actually tell you how to do magic. Instead it’s all just stories. Tales of ancient, godly beings who had powers like channeling sunlight into spears of lightning that could slay immortal stone dragons.

Yet somehow, by reciting the words perfectly and ringing that bell, she’s able to mimic those old tales. You remember yesterday when, just before retreating, she’d raised that chime high, rung it, then conjured a giant lightning bolt radiating with insane magical power in her hand. Everyone nearby who’d witnessed it stopped, your sister smiting the half-Hiveling who’d tried to attack her with it before simply yawning and flying back towards the planetside command center. You still remember clearly how terrified Tanya’d been of this power, you overhearing her asking her about a “Being X” or something like that. But you put all that aside, as your stomach suddenly growls aggressively and reminds you that you haven’t eaten in at least twelve hours. And you need food, right now.
>>
>>4423821
“C’mon, I’m sure there’s still plenty to eat in the mess.” Megumin says with a giggle as she takes your right hand in her left. You walk together out of the makeshift infirmary, and into another ship. However, this one didn’t crash, you going into the ship’s mess hall and greeting the night shift cook.
“Hey Chilli, got you a platter ready.” he says, turning from the counter to grab a plate piled high. “Megumin already told me you were coming, so I got your usual ready for you.”
“Thanks a bunch.” you tell him, carrying the plate to the nearest table and digging in. You don’t even bother to sit down, standing by the table attacking your food with almost feral intensity. You hadn’t realized just how hungry you were until the smells hit your nose, and within just a few minutes you’ve eaten more than your own weight in food.

“...You done?” Megumin asks you teasingly, you belching and chuckling in response. She just rolls her eyes, following along as you grab the platter and return it to the counter. “Ready to turn in?”
“Yeah, let’s go. I’m beat.” you reply tiredly, Megumin again grabbing your hand as you both leave. Your head is in such a daze after everything that’s happened today, you don’t even realize you’d walked all the way back to your room until the door opens. “Huh? We’re here?”
“You alright?” she asks you, looking worriedly into your eyes. “You’ve seemed kinda out of it since you got back.”
“Yeah, just tired.” you say, lifting and tossing your slashed, cracked, and nearly falling apart armor in the corner of the room. It lands with a thump, your boots and gauntlets following it a moment later. As bone-tired as you are you don’t even try pulling your pants off, instead simply flopping onto the bed. And before you even know what’s happening, you’re unconscious.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=YioWRCqcFmA

“WHA-?!” you start, sitting upright as the sound of the ringing alarm wakes you. Megumin starts as well, your sudden movement flipping her over as she’d cleatly fallen asleep laying on your arm. “Shit, what now?”
“Go, I’ll be right behind you.” she says, eyes wide with worry but nodding once to you. You nod back, taking a second to take a deep, focusing breath, then rush to the door. But as it opens, you immediately flare your golden aura up as you recognize the threat: the Hive Halfling beasts are inside the base!
“Dark Ma-!” you shout, but before you can finish gathering your magical power the monster’s left hand grabs your right wrist, while thrusting her tail for your guts. You twist counterclockwise while leaping off the ground, kicking her with both feet square in her unarmored chest at full power. Caught by surprise at your sudden strike it releases you, the monster is sent flying backwards and crashes hard into the far wall. “Megumin! Stay behind me!”
>>
>>4423822
“Ohohoho, this one’s got some fight.” she says, mouth dripping a bit of blood before she tries spitting it at you.
“Fireball!” you shout, stepping through the doorway and tossing a sphere of immolating energy at it from your right hand. The sphere evaporates it’s attack, forcing the Hive monster to leap aside. But you’re not done, if it goes on the attack in these close quarters it could get lethal for you. So you sweep your left hand across your body, tossing a half-dozen, razor-sharp blades of ice with a shout of “Frost Knives!”

And despite the monster having not even landed yet, to your surprise it spins through the air, narrowly avoided all of your magical blades and landing gracefully on all fours. Dammit, this thing’s better than average. This could be tough.

“Chilli, catch!” Megumin shouts, you sensing the magical dagger as she tosses it towards you. You don’t even look at it, firing a pair of energy waves from both hands that completely fill the hall. And while the monster is held down, unable to advance on you, you catch the dagger’s handle with your tail.
“Thanks Megu!” you shout, ending the beams and flipping the dagger over your head. Casually catching it with your right you focus it’s magic into a crystalline blade, while simultaneously casting another spell. Darkness gathers around your left hand, forming a nearly identical-looking weapon to your crystal dagger-sword in your left hand. “Dark Magic: Black Blade. Alright, monster: bring it on!”

“Filthy spellweaver.” it says with a hiss, still on all fours. “You think your pitiful magics are powerful enough to defeat our Queen?”
“It doesn’t matter how I take her down.” you say, then suddenly your sword of sharpened darkness launches itself from your hand. It barely has time to blink, the dark blade piercing straight through the monster’s face. It doesn’t even have time to shout in surprise, simply stiffening for a moment then going completely limp. “All that matters is that you bastards are wiped out for good.”
“Is it clear?” Megumin asks, you turning around to see her head peeking curiously outside the doorway. She’s no good in a close-quarters fight with these things and she knows it, having to rely entirely on you until out in a more open area for her Explosion magic. But just as you’re about to speak you see two more leap around the far corner of the hallway, both bounding off the walls on all fours. She sees your expression and immediately ducks back into the room, you immediately taking your Djem So sword stance, blade held overhead and left hand palm open facing the enemy.
>>
>>4423826
Both monsters slide to a stop, claws digging deep trenches in the metal floor as they study your and their fallen ally with a sword of literal darkness protruding from her face. A heavy silence hangs over you three, nobody moving or saying a word as you all size each other up.

“You defeated one of our sisters.” one says, rising up on her hind feet as the other remains on all fours, ready to pounce. They’re keeping their distance, no doubt judging you as a close-range fighter from the evidence they can see. “Impressive, Saiyan. Perhaps you’re too good to die like the rest of these vermin. Why don’t you come with us, willingly? Pledge your loyalty to the Queen, serve her with all your heart, and you will be handsomely rewarded.”

“Sorry, I’ve already got a girlfriend.” you reply, then with your telekinesis go on the attack. The one on it’s hind legs doesn’t even know what’s happening as you grab the crawler’s tail, and before it can fight back thrust it for the standing one’s back. It jerks once in surprise, looking down at it’s unarmored chest to see it’s ally’s blade is what pierced it through. The moment it looks down you leap forward, snapping your left hand’s fingers to cause the dark magic blade to reappear in your open hand in a backwards grip. The crawler jerks it’s tail free of it’s ally, focused entirely on it and not on you for those brief few seconds. Which is exactly what you’d hoped for, closing the distance and attacking with lethal precision. With your dark blade held in the reverse grip you attack the already-pierced one, decapitating it with a single fluid strike.

The one on all fours sees this happen, and without hesitation thrusts it’s now acidic blood-soaked tail blade right for your face with a snarling hiss. You continue your motion, twisting clockwise out around the tail. And seeing an opening you swing your left arm up, cutting clean through it’s tail several inches past the blade in one fluid motion. It snarls in response, leaping at your left side with all four sets of claws poised to rip you to shreds. Which is where it made a painful mistake. Switching directions immediately you twist counterclockwise, twisting outside it’s furious lunge and narrowly dodging it’s razor-sharp claws. But as it sails past, unable to course-correct in time you finish your own spin, planting your feet and with your entire upper body behind the blow stab your crystal blade right between it’s shoulder blades. You did it.

But to your surprise this doesn’t put the monster down, it thrashing madly with it’s tail as it lets out a pained shriek. You take a solid hit square to the gut, and losing your grip on the dagger are launched backwards into the metal wall behind you hard enough to dent it. The force of the impact plants you into the wall, yet despite getting rocked pretty hard your focus doesn’t leave your foe. And now, with a free right hand and your dagger’s crystal blade still pierced through the enemy, you can end this. Pointing your right hand at the still-thrashing enemy, it trying to reach your blade piercing it’s back, you unleash your magic and give the would-be assassin death.

“Crystal Magic: Crystallization.” you say, clenching your right fist. And despite the monster’s intensifying screams at first nothing seems to be happening. But you know better. As the monster is screaming, your razor-sharp crystals are rapidly growing inside it’s body. Slicing through the soft, internal organs and squishy bits that make living things, within seconds even it’s screams are cut off as the crystals travel up it’s neck, carving up it’s insides until reaching the head, where crystals pierce out through it’s eyes. Once your attack has rendered it basically dead you pull yourself free of the wall, walking over to it and planting your foot on it’s back then pulling your dagger free. As you do it falls forward, shattering into thousands of tiny crystals that spill out of the hardened exoskeleton.

“Woah, that was brutal!” you hear, turning back towards where you’d felled the first of them to see Ticho and Parsla both looking out of their room they share with Caulifla. Ticho’s looking excited while Parsla only looks bored, both the younger girls doubtlessly having witnessed that monster’s end. “So, they’re the alarm?”
“We don’t know yet.” Megumin says, walking out of your room in her full getup. But we’re gonna find out, right?”
“Right.” you tell her, nodding, then turn to Caulifla’s young friends. “You two should stick with us, until we know for sure what’s happening.”
“O-Okay.” Parsla says nervously, the two girls leaving their doorway and walking over to you. Ticho stops a moment to kick the first dead Hive being, the orange-haired girl sticking her tongue out at it before skipping over to you three. “Wh-Where are we going?”

Which is a good question, you think to yourself as you focus your ki senses to try and figure out what’s going on. As you do your eyes widen in surprise, realizing the situation is so much worse than you’d first imagined. This isn’t a simple group of assassins, oh no. That’d be too easy. Hundreds of these monsters are now rampaging throughout the base! And suddenly you feel very, very small.

Okay guys, so, with this thread done— (loving that Chili learned the power of the one liner) I think we should honestly try to start working towards Legendary and Berserker 3. I’m more of a Primal guy myself, but without Frieza’s help and/or a bunch of expendable planets, there’s no way Karn can go for it right now. Comparatively, Meloka literally has been using SS 3 for an entire pregnancy, and thanks to her teaching Karn for a while, his ki control has skyrocketed. Between the sudden surge in Ki control abilities, and our higher base power level, I think at least Legendary 3 is a very real possibility in the near future if we have Meloka help us with trying to learn it.
>>
>>4423888
I still want to go Apex Berserker personally, but there's no reason why we can't try to pick up B3. It's not relevant to primal, but its still got its uses, especially when you have a tail to regulate the energy better.

So long as he knows.

He is quite literally his opposite in every conceivable way. He even sends his kids out to fight because he pays attention to them, and knows their ready.

To be expected, and not what was referring too. Our boy learned the way of the husband.

>The thing with using telekinesis against living beings is you’re essentially pitting your own strength without any leverage against someone else’s. Doable, but possibly quite draining depending on their strength
I see, that changes everything in applying telekinesis in battle though. Thanks for info I overlooked this.

In that case then maybe Death Saucer could be quite nice in Karn's arsenal. But on the other hand does it have to be this technique in particular?
Karn has recently significantly trained his Energy Manipulation.
>Perhaps in the course of further Energy Manipulation training Karn could work on Death Slash and improve it to make it possible to do the guided version of it.
>Like when Karn improved Eye Beams to Guided Eye Beams.
Hypothetical situation:
>Karn shoots new upgraded Death Slash.
>Enemy tries to dodge.
>Death Slash changes direction and follows the target.
Sounds like a strong attack, power of Death Slash combined with ability to make it chase moving targets.

Mechikabura noticing you is never a good thing.
It works exceptionally well when not fighting an opponent’s power head-on, but redirecting force. Then they have to fight not only you but also themself.
Death Slash is a good technique. However, with it being such a razor-thin edge, trying to bend it against it’s cutting direction could possibly roll the edge and make it less effective. In that regard the Saucer is the better technique.
Well look how easily he dispatched three of them. He took one hit, because he thought he’d already won.

>With the way everything has progressed over the past three years, which has been your favorite in-quest revelation?
> And with so much characterization, especially outside the ‘normal canon’, who is/are your favorite characters?

There has been many nice things. Beside adding pretty much all that comes from Dragon Ball itself. In this quest you also included characters/elements/things from:
(*This list below is not full, it's just selected examples.)
>Star Wars
>Aliens (xenomorphs)
> JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
>Doom
>Predator
>Dark Souls
>Hunter x Hunter
>Halo
You can even meet:
>Megumin
>Aku
>Artus (character that first appeared in another quest from Eail)
>There's even Kabuya (from Space Monkeys Quest by Chuckles).
>Ctarl-Ctarl
I'm positively impressed you managed to put it all in the quest in a way that makes it all naturally fit together.

But that is not all that they are simply just there. I like that all of this seems to come together in the world that exist in this quest, and by that I mean.
>All those things, characters and elements do not feel like they are completely separate parts that are put together from different sources.
>Instead of this we have all of them living, being and truly interacting with each other.
Some example of what I mean:
>The Yautja exist somewhat within the shadow of big events and factions, yet that does not mean they are not there, or are to be ignored.
>Just because they often act discretely that does not mean they have no influence, or that they don't interact with this world and change it.
Same goes for other characters and factions.
>We met many various people and groups in this quest.
>And each of them was doing their thing.
>Sometimes we even had options to join them or make them come with us, join us.
But when we did not, they did not remained where we met them with that offer like some lifeless scripted Non Playable Character from video game, just infinitely waiting to talk to us again about same topic.
>We said no, and they went on with their life.
>So did Karn.
Those opportunities that we denied, could have mean that this quest and Karn's story would go into entirely different direction if we said yes.

Cont 1/4. Maybe now I'll manage to post this.

I will bring up here just some of those moments that could change everything.
Remember when Aku offered us to turn us into a Demon?
>Yes that was something of great significance, could have changed almost everything.
>Think how different things would be if we voted yes then.
>We said no, and followed path that led Karn where he is now.
But we had such opportunity for real.

Or when Kars offered us a Stone Mask.
>If we took it, Karn would be some sort of a Saiyan Vampire.
>Probably different from Humans turned to Vampires, but it really does not matter now, as it's a path that is no longer available.
And yet we could have take that offer, and that would change a lot.

Or when we were decided to offer Ubo to join us.
Or that other time when Karn convinced Raven to leave her prison and come with us.
And many more such moments.

My point is that this whole world and its inhabitants that we get to see and in this quest feels and seems to be real and alive. Those characters are like real people we meet. Each one with their motivations, dreams, personalities and other traits.
>Because this adventure is so full of life and real it's so much fun to think of what could have been, and what can we do from the point that we are in now.

And all of this leads to even more fun as you can see as all those beings and elements interact, and cause new things and consequences to happen.
>It's not like all and everything is centered around the protagonist.
>No.
>Karn is just 1 of many inhabitants and all of them are making some change and influence the world of this quests and events that unfold here.
I like this.

Example of this cloud be:
>That time when Kars visited New Salda and Guardian hit him with an energy attack that utilized Divine Ki, but it did not kill him.
>Instead Kars captured God Ki and attained it for himself
>Which later lead to opportunity to become Shin's apprentice.
Unexpected. I did not see this coming. But it shows how this whole world and people in it are alive and live their own life.
Remember when Kars first laded on some planet (in part of cosmos controlled by Lord Boros) and awoken after drifting in space for a long time?
He created a Stone Mask again and made an unspecified number of vampires from local population.
>Now I'm curious what happened to those vampires?
Did someone put an effort to really find all (and I mean really all) of them and then kill them?
Or perhaps some of those blood drinkers remained and are hunting the living to this day?

Or when Aku entered the Abyss while fighting Nashandra. His daughters decided to follow him. Which caused all of them to be in a dimension where time does not flow in the same way as in our current one.
>We haven't heard from them since then.
I'm quite curious what's happening to them now. When will they return?
And that part about Aku also leads to some questions.
>Aku had planets he owned.
>Now that he and his daughters so suddenly disappeared what's going on in those worlds?
>Is anarchy starting to rise?
> Or perhaps his former servants think about becoming rulers themselves?

But going back to the main point, the world this quest and people in it, they seem real and alive and I like that.

>And, perhaps most important, what are you looking forward to most after this war ends?
I'd like to see more of this whole story to unfold.

But for Karn
>it would be nice to finally finish mastering Berserker, keep practicing Energy Manipulation, learning about the Force, train with Divine Dragon Force.
Though those are just examples of what needs to be done to get to the really awesome results.
Such as:
>Karn getting God Ki
>Being ready to unlock and hold on to the new level of Berserker transformation (preferably the one with Divine Ki, but if we managed to get God Ki some other way, then there perhaps could be possibility of doing Primal Berserker but with God Ki.
>Getting really good at Dark Side to attain for example Force Drain and other really powerful skills.
>Uncovering secrets of Divine Dragon Force to get its full potential.
>Mastering Energy Manipulation to a point where you can make as complex things from Ki energy like Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack (sentient Ki constructs) without needing to use fusion first.
Now if we managed to get God Ki for Karn ourselves the this could mean that when Beerus shows up (or maybe even earlier before he arrives) we could use Super Saiyan God ritual on Meloka.
>Beerus would then face not one Saiyan with Divine Ki but instead two.
>Two Saiyan Gods, seems exciting.
Will we get there? Who knows. Wherever this story will take us it sure seems like it's going to be very interesting.
That was part 4/4. Good thing posting became possible again.

Or maybe you just haven’t seen the results yet? See here >>4423821, she’s been memorizing from it.

Plus don’t forget, this is Dreadzone she’s currently fighting with. Why would the cameras focus on her reading in her limited downtime when there’s so much more interesting things to see happening? Like the war?

Small spoiler attached for episode 139’s epilogue. Not gonna lie, I’ve been having fun with it already and am already 3 full posts in. Might even get two epilogues.

C’mon anon, how many of Dreadzone’s fans spend their free time reading? Especially when they could be playing the Exterminator(TM) TCG sold exclusively by Vox Games?

When is "Chaya's Army", a collection of ultra-fan NEETS, going to show up randomly to start shooting bugs for their waifu?

I know Chaya, Chilli, Broly, and Caulifla are the current hot topic, but does anybody on SpaceChan still talk about Karn or Meloka?
I have to imagine there's pretty regular discussions about a war between the two current super-powers in this region of space, thus meaning Karn and the rest of the figureheads would come up often. Or am I mistaken?

>It works exceptionally well when not fighting an opponent’s power head-on, but redirecting force. Then they have to fight not only you but also themself.
That is a very nice application, I like this idea.

>Enemy lunges himself at Karn with full force and power.
>If opponent is going to make this hit, he is going to do it with all the strength he has.
>He is really putting everything into this attack.
>He's getting closer, there's already confidence in eyes.
>He is thinking "Take this Karn!"
Karn then combines:
>dodging the oncoming attacker himself (just to be sure and safe),
>and Telekinesis on the opponent (to both alter the attackers direction and also to pull him in to the wrong course).
Attackers own speed is added to the pull from Telekinesis and now both of them are sending him the wrong way even faster than he initially attacked.
>Enemy ends up far away from the target,
>All the steam went into nothing.
I imagine that would be very frustrating to the opponent.

>Death Slash is a good technique. However, with it being such a razor-thin edge, trying to bend it against it’s cutting direction could possibly roll the edge and make it less effective. In that regard the Saucer is the better technique.
Good to know.

>There is not only that, if i remember correctly had we failed the befriend frieza rolls we could very well have come with bardock and be planting seeds of the tree of might even now
That would so different.
Many of those moments had a great significance. This reminded me of Future Chaya. Her entire life story is answer to:
"What could have been if we did not managed to stop Trunks from interrupting Towa's attempt to save Meloka from dying trapped in a pink crystal inside a Healing Pod".

>Well he first landed in Boros’ territory, which eventually led to the Dark Matter pirates war against those undead then Karn vs Jotaro and Meloka vs Boros for Dreadzone, then culminating in Jotaro vs Kars.
Yes, true. I phrased my question incorrectly. I was thinking along the lines:
>It was Saiyan Conqueror Quest 82 when fight between Jotaro and Kars took place in the the Dreadzone.
This is a quote from Joseph Joestar from the thread after Jotaro's victory:
> “It was a risky gamble, but it paid off. That monster’s dead and gone, for good this time.”
At that moment everyone was convinced that Kars' life has really ended once and for all.
But we already know now that this was not true. Kars is alive and he is stronger than before.

And this comes back to the Vampires.
I'll bring another somewhat similar example:
>Dio Brando made zombies.
> Jonathan Joestar group seemingly killed all of them.
>Except one.
>He was clever and hid himself within human society.
>He was eating victims entirely, nothing left behind.
>Some time later he managed become officer in the Royal Air Force.
>Father of Joseph Joestar discovered the true identity of a monster who disguised himself as human.
>Unfortunately the zombie murdered George.
> Elizabeth Joestar avenged her husband and killed the beast.
You know the story.

My point is. Perhaps few or maybe just one of those Vampires survived. More cunning than the rest avoided destruction and is still a threat even in a present day.
>Did one or few of them dodged the end of their undead "life"?
Though after writing all of this I realized, that perhaps I'm asking about something that revealed could be too much of a spoiler.

Some do, and are more than curious why they haven’t joined in on the bug hunt. Don’t forget, the PTO-Covenant war hasn’t been broadcast live.

Telekinesis is frustrating to fight against.

As far as Boros and the Joestars know, they cleared out the vampires and zombies made from Kars’ exploits. But who knows?

I noticed I did not use the picture initially intended for this post. But after trying to make that post over and over again, I accidentally clicked on a different picture in my last attempt.

And since there are again problems with uploading the picture I want for this post right here, I guess I'm going to just post this picture of JoJo instead.
Ok. I'm trying to post this without the picture.

After needing more than 1 hour and 17 minutes to make a simple post after this>>4427122

I would definitely agree that asking "what is wrong with this website" is not a proper question.
It's definitely more like this:

>What ISN’T wrong with this website?

>I know Chaya, Chilli, Broly, and Caulifla are the current hot topic, but does anybody on SpaceChan still talk about Karn or Meloka?
Didn't GD say that currently universe is being allowed by Vox and his media to only see what is happening during the campaign against the Hive?
And because of that I think that currently all of hottest and fastest going threads on SpaceChan are dedicated to what is happening in the campaign (live).
>There is probably "Hive Campaign" sticky
Though there are probably still going strong Generals like
>/KaMel/ -Karn and Meloka general - Best couple in the universe edition
> /Mel/- Meloka Fitness Queen General
>/Karn / - General - Chad Edition

>I have to imagine there's pretty regular discussions about a war between the two current super-powers in this region of space, thus meaning Karn and the rest of the figureheads would come up often. Or am I mistaken?
I think GD said that news and all that interesting media will be released later. So everyone in the campaign against the Covenant will surely become a topic of intense discussion, but that will happen with a delay.

Yes. Although many clever people suspect something’s happening, they don’t know quite what.
