The time of the Ball has started to approach, and in such a time love is high in the air. For the Kingslayer, Maria Louise Regnia, she will use this time to her advantage. Hell, for one she has already abused a couple’s love and abused it to ruin their lives. With a week until the event happens though, Maria must prepare herself for one hell of a night.

Morning had come, and the roar of rumors and chatter had come through the School. The blazing sun rose high in the sky as if the Lord himself looked down upon the mayhem in order to pass his own judgement. Though that was only the thoughts of the religious and doomsayers, as the students themselves were heavily into their own cliches.

“By the Lord, Erica surely have heard what happened to my the Whore my Cousin was with right?”

“I have heard a lot of hoopla and stuff like they were performing satanic rituals.” The other said while jestering with her hand, “But what really happened?”

“Fufufu, glad you asked.” Maria watched as the girl made a fantastic motion with few hands in celebration, “Well it seems they were caught fucking like rabbits outside town late last night. The guards even imprisoned them because of how hedonist the sight they were in was.”

“W-what is going to happen to them?” Elizabeth, who had been quite up till the moment asked.

“Well, rumor has it that they are going to expel both of them!” Tiffany announced, “Though many are saying the Church won’t do it, as the man is the Prince of Holand. If they excommunicate such a large mass of land there is the chance the King declares is not longer the Lord’s Land.”

Elizabeth gave a look of complete surprise while Erica quickly snatched her fellows attention, “So where are they now? Has the Headmaster thrown them into the dungeons and thrown away the keys yet?”

“Oh how I wish that was the case.” she lamented before giving a subtle laugh, “The fools have at last been locked away in their rooms.”

“Tame, but I would not expect less.” Maria announced with a stern call to her voice, “The boy is just being excommunicated, not held as a Prisoner of War.”

“That… makes sense.” Elizabeth said while resuming back to her tea.

“Well did you hear anything, Maria?” Erica asked with a sharpened pair of eyes to herself, “Surely you know something more about this entire mess.”

We gotta act impartial to this, last thing we want to do is be painted as being super interested in the whole affair. Ford's 100% suspicious or us, and Lucien is probably going to be following in his footsteps.

Also we really gotta see who's next in the line of succession now that Oskar is out of the running. Are we gunning for the crown or are we happy with Bon taking it?

We can't take his land at all, or Lucien/Ford will double down on us.

The more others surreptitiously get the land and we 'cozy' up after, the better. And even then we can't get all of it. Also we have to minimize our assholeness or fall into full villain cliche which will downfall us.

>>4387218
You can't win a fight by just defending. Ford and Lucien already hate us. All this bending over for them will only weaken our position in the end.

At some point we need to actually pull through with something, because I can almost guarantee that if we go and try to cozy up. Lucien and Ford will also look up at that with suspicion and we will again be in the position to decide to back off or do something our enemies don't like.
>>
>>4387242
That ruins the point of taking the second prince to war for accolades unless we're going for a military base for him to push into new territories. I also doubt Lucien gives a shit about us being on any good behavior by now. Our fate is sealed with him so we gotta back the second prince to prevent him from lashing out at our territory. Bon is a wonderful brother, but I don't think our father is the type to aced to political demands by the first prince to make him the heir and Bon's eventually gonna snap if they're continuously talking shit about us in the clubhouse anyway.
>>4387150
I was having a wonderful picnic with Albert when they ruined it with their noise and I reported them to the guards.Licentiousness aside, they could have been eaten by wolves if they went about making noise like that in the middle of the night just far enough away from the village for them to roam.

Would not gloating earlier make him hate us less or was it inevitable the moment we grassed to the guards?
>>
>>4387272
What do you mean ?
>>
>>4387281
The last vote on the previous thread was to gloat in front of Chloe and Lucien, if we just gave them directions would they be pissed as much?
>>
>>4387218
The whole reason we started this scheme in the first place was to consolidate our power, not taking the land will make everything we just did pointless.

>>4387272
Probably grassing to the guards, the way Lucien is now anything that even slightly upsets Chloe = megahate from him

Honestly gloating was a mistake, I saw that option as Maria going 'yeah I'm going home, do what you guys want' and washing her hands o the whole thing.
>>
>>4387289
It’s wasn’t exactly gloat, more like not saying anything besides that we were going to the academy, but yes I think this is what made him irate
>>
>>4387272
Chloe is smart enough to detect a plot on our part. It would’ve made no the difference on the long run.
>>
>>4387150
>Just confirm the truth of everything

Honestly we should’ve invited the wolves to have at them. It was the cleanest way to murder them. They’ll never find traces of any potion from what remains of their bodies. It would’ve looked like an unfortunate accident.

That damn bird is a problem. I think it's the alchemist in disguise (or a familiar of some sort )and he's manipulating Chloe into whatever bizarre experiment/goal it is he has.
A bird that basically the glows in the fucking dark like that is way too visible to survive natural selection nor would it be awake at night. Him being a master alchemist also means any potions we make are gonna get interfered with if or caught he feels like it. Either option would entrap us. I wonder if the alchemist was dumb enough to write a section in the book about transforming into a bird.
>>
>>4387329
I feel you are jumping to conclusions here. Sure the bird is not normal and we should endeavor to find out more about it, but that doesn't mean it is a crazy alchemist in disguise.

It could just be a spirit guardian or something like that.
>>
>>4387341
That is why I said (or a familiar), but Valor has to observe his experiments somehow and since we didn't remember ever actually seeing him before he had to be using some sort of alternate method to spy on us. Chloe is (possibly) his grand experiment, so there also has to be a method for him to observe her in an era without video camera. Not much we can do about it anyway since we'd look like we've gone crazy (or just really hate Chloe even more than usual) if we point anything strange about the bird.

The dude is here somewhere and that bird is the only suspect for now until we background check every single member of staff in the entire building and get a proper description/portrait.

This scheme is a long time coming anon. We already offered the Second Prince a spot in it and the Knights have agreed. An excommunicated prince will make it that much easier. Besides the Second Prince is desperate for a win to deal with the First Prince's revival. Maria unlike Chloe needs to prove herself in order to earn her sainthood. War and Glory happen to be what anons voted for. Holand is necessary to acquire for further growth.

Since the Knights know the Church also knows about the scheme. Lucien, Chloe, and Ford can do nothing to stop it because we purposefully chose a target that was beyond their influence.
>>
>>4387377
>Maria unlike Chloe needs to prove herself in order to earn her sainthood.
Chloe is not a saint yet anon and we have the healing thing that happened when we dealt with the heretics
>>
>>4387373
Keep in mind Valor also has to keep an eye on both us and Lucien as we are also to be watched. There is no evidence that Chloe is involved. The only thing we got is that the Demons somehow knew her and hinted about some things.

>>4387385
She's the protag she has guaranteed sainthood. Right now she is still hiding her power and the Church doesn't yet know. We need sainthood in order to prevent her from turning the Church against us in the future. Right now we are still a mere saint candidate and only due to the Kingslayer achievement.

This as the explanation, though it will tie Albert to us as a suitor. Which is kinda fitting as outsiders with outsiders.

>>4387500
>>
>>4387507
Albert is already utterly embroiled in almost all our schemes that the only options we have regarding him is marry or kill lol.
>>
>>4387520
Or stay allies. He's in it as much as we are.
>>
>>4387447
We have no idea that this is the case. Only that the demons might be involved and they definitely know some things about her. For whatever reason Chloe has the personal attention of a god and the demons. The church doesn't yet know the demons were referring to Chloe but in the future, they'll know once Chloe comes out to them.

>>4387263
The only reason we got the Second Prince is because he's desperate. Unwittingly if he goes through with it means joining the opposing Saint camp to Chloe. He doesn't know this yet but it will come out in the future which will give him hope.

I agree that Bon is actually Maria's biggest concern. We really should have pulled him out after the incident with Ford and more importantly get him away from Chloe'd reach. So long as he is with their group that puts him in orbit of Chloe...and it would be catastrophic if Chloe takes an interest in him. Even father stated he was concerned about how well Bon would take to his position so much so he even wrote about it to Maria.

>>4387520
I feel kinda sorry for Albert to be honest. I mean from the moment he saw what Maria did with recruiting the very bandits who intended to rob, rape, and kill them. He knew EXACTLY what he was getting into from then on. In fact, Maria offers Albert another avenue for his ambitions As he revealed when talking about his family which reveals why he is okay with going along with Maria's schemes which surprisingly he is capable of stomaching. Which is slowly turning Albert into a fellow villain because Chloe never got him to him and made him question what was going on. More importantly, develop a spine that Maria abuses.

Albert's biggest mistakes are two-fold. Having a surprisingly strong stomach and having a weak spine. His strong stomach ensured that Maria would deign to keep him around. While the weak spine would ensure his compliance. Even if he doesn't marry Maria poor Albert is doomed to become a fellow villain and powerful assistant/ally to her. The only thing that could have saved him is Chloe who would have made him question what he was doing and develop a spine.

Even Bon is better off because Maria coddles him and keeps what she is doing secret behind his back. So when you get down to it Maria has no need to kill Albert because he is will soon be just as damned as she is. While Bon has a scary ass sister watching over him and paving the way.

“Well I was the one who found them.” Maria said with a scoff into the wind.

“Really?!” Erica almost screamed with her eyes shining with excitement, “So what happened?”

“While I will say only what I saw and heard, they were way too loud in my opinion.” Maria called out with a clicking of her tongue, “I was having a nice picnic with Albert when we heard them having their fun. Honestly they ruined our atmosphere immensely with that little sin of theirs.”

Maria took a sip of her cup before continuing, everyone’s attention upon her, “When I figured out who the people having their way were, I simply called out to the guard to stop them from committing such sinful ways.”

“Really, I wished there was more to it than that…” Erica said with a whimper along with Stacy.

“You are… going out with Alber Giovanna?” Elizabeth asked ignoring the other two.

“...”

“...”

“Oh, I forgot to tell you three. Sorry about that.” Maria admitted with a simple smile upon her face.

“YOU FORGOT TO TELL US?! Of course Maria would get a boyfriend first!” Lamented Erica while slamming her head into the table.

“I thought you were going out with the Second Prince.” Stacy said with her face giving a soft blush.

“I am so happy for you!” Elizabeth said with a slightly sorrowful smile upon her face.

“Thank you Elizabeth.” Maria answered the one before giving a short laugh, “And for you other two, asking would surely yield better results.”

“Hrmm…” Stace exclaimed while Erica was simply laying herself upon the table. Maria could not help but laugh again, if nothing else than at the silliness these two fools. However the time for their lamentations were coming to an end, and soon enough classes came.

Of course Maria blazzed through the Military class, though her hearing was not full of the lecture but the dozens upon dozens of hush voices that were talking up a storm. Maria did not mind it, since she was already a near master in Military affairs so there was no reason for her to pay much attention.

Soon enough it was her Class on the Lord’s Faith, which Maria really did enjoy a lot. However as she walked into the class, the first thing she realized was the absence of Chloe. Such a thing, well, Maria was not too sure what to think of it.

Honestly, it was slightly worrying.

However Albert was there, looking over towards Maria before quickly looking away with a small blush upon his face. In her honest opinion, it was kinda cute seeing him like this.

>Flirt with him a little, just to tease him.
>Strike up some chitchat, surely that will help him recover

“Fufufu, you're still that embarrassed about last night.” Maria asked with a sly look about herself, “Come on now, you were not that bad~”

“Guh,” The man whipped around with his face in a minor panic, “Please do not say that. People will get the wrong idea!”

“Alright alright. Though your words were so smooth I could still remember them.” Maria jokingly got closer to the man, “That I am a shining sun to you~”

“...” The man’s expression was quite priceless to Maria, “Yes, I did say that.”

“Well you admit to something you said quite correctly.” Maria answered before lounging in her chair, “Though still, I would prefer to see your face in full instead of keeping it on the desk.”

“I, uh, guess you are right.” He answered before looking to Maria with a shaky smile, “Though you are looking stunning, as usual.”

Maria felt a little blush to herself before firing back with her own words, “Simple flattery like that I get every day. You will need to perform better.”

“I guess you are right. I will try my best to attain standard set by the Lord above.”

Maria had to admit, she did not expect the man to be catching up so fast. Though as those words came out of their mouths the Professor came into the room with a worn look upon his face. Maria chalk that up to the stress everyone was experiencing due to the recent scandal.

The class was quite light weighted though, as it seems they have yet to decide what to preach and research from here onwards. If they were to double down on the Absedence message, than turning on their heels with a ruling that the damned couple are allowed to stay would be a double standard.

Such an action would result in the school becoming quite the unstable affair.

However with that class ended, leaving Maria to think about what to do next.

With classes over Maria gave a small wave to Albert before making her way from the class room and to the armory. Within about half an hour Maria had gathered her gear and once again made her journey towards the nearby town as a Vagrant Knight dressed head to toe in armor. With only another moment to spare Maria began her travels towards the town on foot.

The simple fact that Chloe was not in class today was quite the worrying endevor. In her honest opinion Maria was worried about what she would discover. Surely this was something close to a plot a Heroine like Chloe would solve. However there was one positive thing she had against the other girl.

The rumors had already started, and Maria made her role only as a bothered bystander.

It was within about twenty minutes that Maria landed outside the gates, and within another ten she had traveled her way towards the restaurant. The streets were not terribly busy, as with it being a weekday most were working. Trade of course occurred, but it was drastically less than when the weekends rolled around.

With that observation over with, Maria made her way behind the place in which all her schemes revolve. With a rhythmic knocking on the door, it was opened to reveal the old man from days ago.

The man had a smile upon his face until seeing the helm that Maria wore, “Oh, it’s you.”

“Indeed it is, may I come in.”

“Tsk, fuck it come on.” He made a wave of the hand before shutting the door behind Maria, “So what is it you need? I did as you asked and I heard what happened to those kids.”

“Better that way than any other, as that action probably saved a few thousand men.” Maria admitted while tapping the countertop, “By chance has a girl come here asking questions today? Golden Blond Hair, with a bird that always rests near her.”

“Yeah she was here last night and three before that. Though I haven't seen the lass today if that is what you are asking.”

“Is that so…” It seems that the Heroine has yet to backtrack the previous night, though that did not mean she never would. Indeed that was highly probable and should be prepared for. Also, the way this man is acting he might spill information out due to Chloe’s charm.

>Promise him funds as long as he never tells them a word spoken between Maria and him

>>4388265
Something went wrong with the scheme considering how the drug was somehow potent enough to make it happen when we purposefully made sure to not give the chef enough for that to happen. Meaning there might be some kind of interloper or something. Especially when you considered the delayed reaction to it when by then the drug should have already weakened greatly. The chef may end up suspecting the drug we gave him was much more potent then it was supposed to be.

>>4388364
We need to make to sure assuage him that it wasn't us. The drug wasn't that potent and they were led to believe it wouldn't end in something so serious. Right now nobody knows Maria was involved besides the Second Prince, Albert, the pawns, and the stalker.

>>4388437
Oh fuck Chloe is going to get involved.
>Tell him to go on vacation, here is the gold have fun
Chloe can't charm him if he isn't around to be charmed. Make sure he takes an extended vacation.
>>
>>4388437
>Tell him to go on vacation, here is the gold have fun
>>
>>4388437
>Other methods...
Give him enough gold and order him to retire far away from here and never return. BUT tell him to inform his boss and friends that he will only be taking a vacation instead of leaving forever.
>>
>>4388437
>Tell him to go on vacation, here is the gold have fun
This is for the best, as Chloe will have no way of getting the info and the topic will lose interest by then.
>>
>>4388440
Or Chloe simply fucked up. Teenager don't need to be drugged to fuck each other. Our dosage was too low to lead to this on its own and it is very unlikely someone would pick the exact same potion as us.

And on that note didn't we drug the girl and Johnson, not Oskar?
>>
>>4388437
>Tell him to go on vacation, here is the gold have fun
I can tell this is still a trap option because the chef mysteriously vanishing afterwards is just going to make Chloe even more suspicious. And it wouldn't be that hard for her to ask the prince to help her find the chef. But at the very least it's the best option to delay her finding things out for now.
>>
>>4388452
>And on that note didn't we drug the girl and Johnson, not Oskar?
Yes, we put the drug on their date so they’d end up cucking Oskar, but it either wasn’t fast enough and they just ended as a date or the girl liked Oskar more and the remaining effect boosted it into sex
>>
>>4388437
>Tell him to go on vacation, here is the gold have fun
If we can work it in we should drop a casual mention that the drug was ineffective and this is a different boy that got himself in trouble without our involvement.
>>
>>4388437
>Tell him to go on vacation, here is the gold have fun
>>
>>4388452
One of my first thoughts about the drug back when we were talking about using it is that we'd pull a Rasputin and it turns out that cooking the drug/poison completely neutralizes it. Using untested drugs without even knowing the proper dosage or timing was bound to go wrong.

>>4388455
True. Might be a better idea to point out that we're in this together.
>>4388437
>Your conscience can be clear. As far as I can fathom, the couple that got in trouble did so of their own volition. The young lady was caught with another long afterwards and the lad has not displayed any troubles on par with the actions of those two. However, neither of us desire to get in trouble because a pair of noble teenagers cannot contain themselves. I suggest we both keep our mouths shut to avoid false suspicions and convictions. (hopefully this comes off genuine instead of implying we're "innocent.")

Maybe, but the impression I got from descriptions was that if she was doing that, the girl would have missed the second date in the first place and kept fucking the first guy.
Or is Chloe a goddamn cockbocker that can't be bothered to keep her (friend?) in line and stop her from becoming a slut with the next guy the girl runs into afterwards? Seems out of character for Chloe to not be ok with whatever relationship the girl wanted and drag her over to Oscar when she's clearly hot and heavy with NTRed childhood friend.

“Well, due to powers outside of my control I invite you to go on a prolonged vacation. Someplace where the sun shines and you have warm sands underneath your feet.” Maria made a grandiose motion with her hands, “Does that not sound very good?”

“Really… You arn’t going to have me killed are you?”

“You think a random black knight from a distant land would kill you? You are very wrong indeed.” Maria reached into the back of her armor before bringing out a modest sum of coins, “I will even pay for an extended leave. Would you not want to go see the world, maybe bring back an exotic wife?”

“...”

[Intrigue Success]

“You know what, I have always lived in this damn city. Heh, its not something I should be thinking too hard about.” And with a motion of the hand the man picked up the fifteen coins and pocketed them in his things.

“With that sorted, how did things go? I like your results, but I wanted to make sure your method was right.”

“That? Well I gave the purple stuff to the two on saturday like you said.” He said before producing a few empty bottles, “And of course I gave the ones the night after what you said. Girl got the golden and red one, while the boy got only the red one.”

“Perfect, everything has gone as planned then.” Saturday both got the Lust potion while the next night was ecstasy to Lisa with a mix of Mind Manipulation. Of course, Oskar got a full dose of Mind Manipulation for sure, “Anything else you think I should know?”

The man simply gave a shrugging of the shoulders, “Not really. Your stuff worked if you were aiming on the girl fucking both her dates. Though the second time she needed some prompting.”

“Prompting?”

“Eh, I can’t really say. It was the waitress who ran last night who told me that, but I honestly wasn’t listening to her long enough.” The man walked over to the back wall and took out a sign, “Well place is going to be closed for a few weeks, so get out!”

Maria did not need much more prompting, as when she finally reached the streets door had a sign reading ‘Closed’. She would have laughed, but when she turned her head just for a moment dreadful words came into her ear.

“Oh no, hes closed!” A youthful voice said.

“That seems to be the case.” Another more monotone voice answered with no emotion betrayed on it.

Maria began to walk trying to pay them no heed, but the sounds of a bird chirping came into her ear, “What is it Tulip? Is something that way?”

Maria felt two pairs of eyes hitting her back the moment she said those words, “Thats odd…”

“Who the Knight? Tulip, are you fine if we follow him?” There was a small if scared tweet coming into Maria’s ear, “She says its fine, lets go!”

Oh for the Love of the Lord above, why did you need to damn poor ol’ Maria.

There's no way our bandits aren't using the place. We can probably go in, brief a bandit to get multiple men to take the armor our piece by piece, take the secret brothel exit (tell me there's a brothel that doesn't have an emergency exit) and then leave the rest to the bandits. Or even get the brothel in on smuggling the armor out. Get ourselves in a box and have our own bandits ship us out.

There IS a distinct possibility we can find some of our men there. Of course our men could just us easily ship us out in a box for delivery purposes.

Lucien has proven to be pretty canny at seeing through Maria's disguises - also we need to lose that damn bird.
>>
>>4388903
The best laid plans all seem to fall to the chaos of stupidity weaving it's own.
Oh this absolutely confirms the damn bird is intelligent, can actually speak, and spies on people for the bitch. This gives me some nasty ideas for setting Chloe up when her ability to learn from it is no longer a secret.I also find it funny that technically Chloe is looking to be way more underhanded, manipulative, narcissistic, and easily enraged than we ever were. She's scheming, spying, flies off into a rage when she doesn't get in her way, and is blatantly trying to establish us as hateful when despite our real dislike of her we haven't ACTUALLY been very mean to her and others. Chloe's been hanging herself, not us.
>>4388906
I severely question the decision making skills behind trying to stalk what is clearly an armed and skilled mercenary for little to no reason. That's how you get stabbed in a back alley.
I don't see us being comfortable at a brothel, but It's the only location that you can actually lose a bird in unless we shoot that fucker out the air.
>Brothel. Wander about until we run into a subordinate and ask to be taken to a brothel. Have an armour/disguise swap with a subordinate and make a mental note to learn about secret passages about the town. While inside also make sure people notice the beautiful green bird trying to peek inside. If it's a rich Brothel they're gonna be spying on he customers so we gotta make sure they can't tell who we are at all times.
(Having to fight against plot armour is getting expensive. Thankfully the wage gap between noble and peasant is so big that bribing peasants is somewhat easy.)
Eg
>Greetings my good fellow, you look like a man off sufficiently worldly knowledge. Guide me to a night of bacchanalia so that we may partake in it together with the strumpts.
Establishing Chloe is trying to spy on a whorehouse might come in handle for a big file of her actions later once it's publicly known that she can communicate with the bird. Might even be able to spin the previous night as Chloe trying to peep a few threads down the line.
>>
Well, its obvious you guys wanna find the Brothel, so to the brothel it is!

It's a bird. Not gonna be able to hide from or lose it in a forest or alleyway. Not only can it fly, it can fly faster than you.
Bluffing might be fun, but even Superman has a better disguise than us since the prince can just demand the helmet being taken off.
That eliminates those picks.
There weren't really any other choices and it's not like we have safe houses hidden along the realm.(We should work on that)

I also don't want to risk the "promoting" being an ability since I was recenty reading an otome villainess reincarnation where the heroine had mind manipulation powers due to being light/healing element. I know it's paranoid, but i aint taking chances right now.

Without even a moment to think Maria’s feet began to walk, the soft steps of steel on dirt in her ear as the eyes stayed on her the entire time. There was no folly or second guessing on the place Maria would go, as surely the two would never follow her there.

With the streets getting only a little bit more populated, they were easy to navigate without being swept away. Though in her honest opinion Maria would have had them flowing with people, because it meant her pursuers would always have sight of her.

“Hmm…”

“Is something the matter Mr. Lucien?”

“Just wondering…”

Well it seemed that Maria did not have much time left, but they had finally arrived where she wanted to end up. While the town was fairly rich and the slums would reflect that, it did not mean they were nonexistent. And sure enough with the building suddenly getting quite shorter it was evident that she found them.

“He’s going… into the slums?” the young man's voice said while Maria confidently strode through the now darken streets.

“Well come on, we might lose him!”

[Intrigue Success]

However with the slums being so small Maria was easily able to find her destination before anything else. Her eyes snapped to a couple who were simply standing outside a door, both having eyes searching the street. So with confidence in her step, Maria walked up to them.

“I take it this is where I can get some service?” She asked, still trying her best to disguise the voice.

“It depends on who is talking.”

“Then I expect the best whore you have, with a window room.” And with those words Maria handed over three Austing Gold Coins into the girl’s hands.

The doorkeeper looked at the gold for a moment before growing quite the smile, giving a signal to the man who opened the door for both herself and Maria. And like that she was inside.

“Alright sir, your room will be on the top floor, last door on the left.” She said, which was enough prompting for Maria to follow them. Just as she expected, there were plenty of familiar faces in such a place, spending their money to the city’s whores. Foolish men did not realize their employer showed up because they were enchanted by the magical power of breasts.

Soon enough she arrived in the room, quickly looking out the window to see the Golden Couple seemingly waver at the doorstep. Soon enough, it seems the bouncer must have gave them a nasty look, as they soon abandoned their watch and wondered out of the place.

However just as Maria was feeling relieved she looked over to see a woman standing at the door, with large tracks of land, “Well hello there Mister, it is a pleasure to meet you~. Why don’t I help you take off that armor of yours and we can get started.”
>>
>Well, Maria did pay for this woman maybe she has information she can use. Like blackmail against her employees.
>No, Maria just wants to go back to the Academy. Time to have her men quite literally ship her there.
>With them gone, Maria should be able to just walk out now.
>>
>>4389272
>The bird is obviously going to be still following us and we're next to a window. Did you think I wouldn't notice QM!? . >Well, Maria did pay for this woman maybe she has information she can use. Like blackmail against her employees.(Do they have music or instruments here to drown out the noise from nearby clients? Might be a good idea to be sure the damn bird isn't listening in.)

How's this for a plan?
>"invite" one of our employees to join us and make sure he comes in while wearing clothes. Clothing swap with him after making sure we're properly hidden behind screens whilst also borrowing some makeup from the prostitute to further disguise our face. Then make sure we get shipped back to the academy in exchange for well deserved overtime pay. Part of that pay goes towards their celebrations with the finest whores in the brothel tonight in order to buy the silence of the prostitutes at the same time.
The armour gets hidden somewhere but I'm not sure where since Chloe is bound to stumble into it while breaking an entering. I think at the very least it has to be somewhere we don't personally own but still private property. Maybe the prince's room so that it looks like he just wanted to go out incognito?
>>
>>4389288
Support. But don't dump the armor in prince room we don't want him getting in trouble.
>>
>>4389288
Uh, I did not think of that first part. The bird is visibly next to Chloe I hereby declare. I ran out of time to leave that detail.
>>
>>4389289
True. That's why I was deliberating on where to hide it. The prince is the safest hiding spot since if it leads back to him then they can't investigate further provided they haven't made some false charges against a black knight (or a black knight suddenly appears in the future.) Melting it down would be a waste and if we keep it in our storerooms it would be a clue she stumbles into like Nancy Drew. International shipping is probably something to be ruled out. Maybe some sort of anonymous storage container that Albert can start renting out as a business? We can't have anyone strolling around in it instead since I think Lucian has "figured" us out via our gait. (Although really that's incredibly stupid to identify a person entirely via gait. Extremely bad evidence that can't even be reproduced due to videotape not existing.)
>>4389294
When you say visibly, you mean they're near enough that we can prank them via paying the establishment to offer them a threesome/orgy after we've left?If we were being nasty we'd point out that he's the crown prince and any prostitute would be set for life from child support. The prince hasn't been raised in the methods of begone THOT due to his puppet upbringing, so he'd be remarkably weak to it even.

>>4389272
>No, Maria just wants to go back to the Academy. Time to have her men quite literally ship her there.
Can we ship her to Albert so she can pop out of the box like a pop out cake.

Also support dumping the armor - maybe we could get one of our thugs to wear it out to lead anyone watching the brothel on a wild goose chase?

But we've got both the bird on us and Lucien suspicious - we cannot get traced going back to the academy.
>>
>>4389313
The academy has hundreds of students. If they read anything into it going there, that's their own personal prejudices against us instead of anything logical.
The drive Ford into extreme paranoia plan must be working wonders with how much the prince and Chloe hates us for existing right now. We need a status report from Bon.
>>
>>4389288
I like this plan!
>>
>>4389272
>>4389288
The more convoluted the plan the better I say. At the very least it'll be entertaining.

Also a reminder at least archive the previous thread if you're going to make a new one QM. I missed several days worth!
>>
>>4389288
Good plan. Can’t we just go out through a back entrance or do you really want us to be shipped off ?
>>
>>4389294
Gona need clarifying on them lurking about. I finally stopped procrastinating with catching up to thread #3 and Ford is so much of an asshat that I genuinely want to do this prank now because of the conniptions he will have trying to deal with it. It also stops Chloe/Lucien from being able to demand to inspect the package since they're too busy dealing with being swarmed by Thots.

>>4389371
The problem is Lucien is immune to disguises, so if we walk out the back door, otome powers kick in so that stumble into us and Lucien sees us while we walk back. That bird is suspicious too. It homed in on us for absolutely no reason, while we were in full plate and other people would be also wandering about (plus the people that had to exit the shop when it closed). The main reason we disguise in the mail is in the off chance the thing falls open.
>>
>>4389546
Okay. Since we found our guys I thought that disguise and one of them wearing the plate to distract them from going another way would be enough, specially since the bird is with her and until it finds us they’ll try to follow the guy first
>>
>>4389560
I had considered it too, but Lucien is getting more suspicious by the second, so I think he's starting to work things out enough to notice a different person under the armour and immediately go on high alert upon realizing there's a decoy.
>>
>>4389562
considering he doesn't have plot armor like Chloe I don't think he'll notice that quick, since when he noticed us he only thought a little and they only followed because of the bird
>>
>>4389572
I could just be overly paranoid since I was reading previous threads and he recognized us in a full nun's habit. I don't think he was even looking at our face when he recognized us back then.
It's fun trying to pick out what characters are capture targets too. I suspect Charlie is the peasant lifestyle route.
>>
>>4389590
Well, the nun habit was easy since our face was showing, but still he ignored fast. Anyway is easy getting annoyed with deus ex machina
>>
>>4389572
He's a capture target so they all have some degree of plot armor just not nearly as heavy duty as Chloe's. In fact, technically even Maria as the villainess has some plot armor so long as it's not against the Otome. Chloe simply has the heaviest plot armor and that isn't even getting into that smart spy bird of hers. Who will now know has it out for us specifically. Dealing with a bird spy that may show up whenever is going to be a huge pain in the ass.

...Underground bases. The flying little shit will be easily noticed. Places with windows and generally on the surface are a terrible idea from now on. We need to spend some coin on proper hideouts to deal with the goddamn bird.
>>
>>4389734
We could find out if you can use birdseed to administer potions.
>>
>>4389734
Good idea in the long term, but since we haven't revealed we know the bird is an intelligent spy I think it might be useful to have false conversations around it if we can determine how much information it can actually relay.
>>4389770
I like this idea. Slightly overripe fruit left alone a bit also works. It turns to alcohol and gets birds drunk normally. We can get the bird drunk and see if it speaks.
>>
>>4389814
The problem is our people and allies. They may speak revealing Maria's plans without her present. It would be especially bad if the bird stumbles upon Maria's shipping company made up of bandits. They have no reason to believe us about the little birdie spy. Maria just so happens to have a lot of dirty secrets that would be very bad if it came out. It doesn't help that they are also susceptible to Chloe's magical charming ability. Of which so far we only know Maria is immune to. It's so bad our only choice is to send people and do things out of range of Chloe so she can't reach them.

“Oh, I do not require your service.” Maria said with a waving of her hand, “Though I do have a little message for you all, come over to the window would you~”

“Y-you’re a-”

“Yes I am, now come over!” Maria declared with a wave of her hand.

The whore seemed to think for a moment, before finally following the order. Maria then stuck her finger out into the open air, pointing at a couple who were just leaving the premise, “Do you see that man?”

“Uh, yeah. Quite the charmer but what about him?”

“Ohoho, why he is the Prince of Austin, Lucien. Could you imagine what might happen if you were to bare his child?” The large breasted woman looked at Maria with eyes as large as saucers, “And in case you are having second thoughts, here is some gold for the trouble. Be sure to share the meat with the other girls.”

“Y-yes thank you very much!” She backed away while looking at what must have been more gold than she ever saw in her entire life. Soon enough she almost broke out in the sprint.

“Oh, and grab me one of Jimmy’s men when you can!”

After the woman ran away, it only took a few moments but soon a confused looking Jimmy who was currently getting his fly in order. HIs confusion was soon brought to almost absolute terror as he looked at Maria who finally took her helm off.

“Ah good, you are here. Taking Mondays off I see.”

“M-ma’am! Why are you here!? What the-”

“Silence.” Maria asked while raising a finger to her lips, “I do not care what you do in your free time, what I want through is a little more work. Over time compensation will be given as desired.”

“A-alright. What do you need me to do?”

With a few more bribes Maria was soon out of her armor and into a pair of male clothing. You know, extra stuff just in case the male audience got a little too frisky and lost some of their clothing. A good amount of Make-Up was applied so that her face was almost unrecognizable.

“Thank you ladies for the support.” Maria announced while tossing each who helped a coin, “None of you ever heard of me, understood?”

Maria received a series of nods and affirmatives before lowering herself into a box meant for carrying fancy rugs and bedsheets. There was a small groan from the three men who she, well, commissioned to do the work who groaned as they placed her into the back of a wagon along with three separate boxes filled with armor.

“Well, uh, Ma’am. We will be at the Academy in thirty.” He said with a snapping of the reigns, “What the hell have we gotten ourselves into?”

And like that they started to travel, none the wiser to the delivery of a Villanese. If they knew, they would wonder why she chooses to relegate herself to such a silly position, but then again the original would never have done this.

And she lost quite horribly

Alfred also won't have any dresses unless he has some fetishes we're going to have to learn to live with when we're married.

>>
>>4390242
Don't forget the whores trying to hit on the first prince in the future. There is NO way that Ford is going to be able to keep their mouths shut about that visit. It's going to be glorious and hilarious.

>>4389966
I'm sure we can arrange for someone to drop clothes off for us in an inconspicuous package.

Man, owning the mail service is FUN
>>
>>4390252
The backlash of us sneaking around gets buried by something scandalous. This would make Ford separate Chloe for the meantime while church intervenes here. I hope that the whore that manage to *make Lucien had a good time* wasn't assassinated. This is pretty common in old times that's why some high ranking official keep it a secret.
>>
>>4390261
If we could expand our services, we could partner up with Albert and establish the first ever package courier service. We only accept bandits as mailman delivery (because they can fight and dirty too.) And maybe some criminals who would be willing to turn the criminal life around. It's enough to employ and save people and boost the saint points we have.
>>
>>4390261
Oh yeah, almost forgot this. So the plan to send a message to our maid to bring our things to Albert room is quite easy indeed
>>
>>4390266
No way in hell whores succeed in catching any of the capture targets.
A man laying with a prostitute at all is despicable to most women. As such, plot armor will protect them.

However, there's no way in hell a mailman who happened to see the prince in the slums being hit on by whores would not gossip about it. Let alone any of the slum peasants who noticed.
What's their excuse? We followed a mysterious full plate armored soldier to a whore house? Why follow a solider at all? Is it that surprising a soldier went to a whore house?

>>4390279
Just have a messenger come with a packaging ready, pass the packaging to Melody with instructions to pack some clothes in it, and then retrieve the cloth package and perform a delivery.
Hell we can have a "fake" package delivered first while we're still in the cart as to provide packaging FOR the dress so we arrive at Albert's with our dress.
>>
>>4390266
Probably gonna need to get the bandits on the case for that.

>>4390277
I was thinking a federally funded mail service/CIA.
It's about time we expand their duties and I think the fact that going to a bar and listening to what's going on is legitimate spywork can sell them on the idea of getting PAID to drink as part of the job.
I think we also need to start owning local businesses.(Maybe via isekai prowess?) We send out a ton of bribes and if we own businesses the bribes will end up coming back to us anyway.
We also might want to improve the crop rotation meme even more. Crop rotation has been around a long time, but if our past life had enough local farmers we might have gotten more in depth green revolution era knowledge about improving agriculture to get more advanced forms of crop rotation working to make insane upgrades. IDK how well it's taught. Crop rotation wasn't really as important when I went to school since there's not even 1/10th the farmland needed for us to not all starve to death, but i've seen other anons actually got a much more in depth explanation than I did.
>>
>>4390284
I mean, they theoretically could if they were savvy enough but I don't like the odds of them being brilliant enough to nab/seduce Chloe as threesome bait or lure her away into a den of lust while making sure she doesn't have a chance to speak up and stop Lucien from being mounted. That would take teamwork when they're in the middle of a frenzied free for all.
>>
>>4390266
He has plot armor but that won't stop the whores from trying which is the point. As it provides 'proof' that the precious first prince has in fact spent so much time at the whorehouse that the whores there are familiar and friendly with him. Yeah nobody is going to pay attention to the black knight who visited a restaurant and then a whorehouse. Who the fuck is going to believe those two would follow a soldier who obviously went out to eat before visiting a whorehouse to enjoy himself?

>>4390277
>Thinking the bandits went legit
They still waylay packages by our command and to encourage clients to their own company. That isn't even getting into whatever smuggling they started up in the meantime. Their only legitimacy stems from Maria. While Maria not only turns a blind eye to their antics and protects them but actively encourages it.
>>
>>4390292
The QM really hasn't given us the chance to invest in local business or tech development. As for expanding a spy network all we gotta do is slip some coin to the drunks, servants, and whores for whatever they hear about. Make it a regular thing and reward a large bonus for good intel. NOT a good idea to encourage our own guys to become useless drunks when there are already useless drunks we can bribe.

By the way, chances are the whores and criminal underworld are already well aware of Maria thanks to the bandits in our employ. Ford is too high strung to ever do any digging like that otherwise he would have found out some rumors about her dealings instead of resorting to bullshit.

>>4390297
If we really wanted to play dirty with the first prince and get a whore laid(lol). Just drug him with an aphrodisiac, mind influencers, and sleeping drug. Smuggle the whores in as a maid late night and let them enjoy themselves with the first prince all night long. For bonus points have the guard come around very early morning and catch their dalliance after most of them got away.

It's best to avoid Chloe entirely as to bypass her insane plot armor as much as possible. As is though Chloe's reputation is fucked for getting caught visiting a whorehouse of all goddamn places with the first prince. The First Prince might get away with it some backlash but holy shit being a girl with a boy and caught there.
>>
>>4390302
The mail isn't their real job. it's doing whatever we need done. Smuggling and helping stalker hex maniacs aside, they are pretty legit simply because having gainful employment that pays well is far better than banditry could ever gain them. Any arse that wants to continue pillaging would get weeded out by all the people who don't want their money train to disappear just like the local bandits got absorbed or kicked out by our bandits.
At the very least we've convinced them that serving us is way better than

>>4390328
Or we just hire some other local dudes to hang out in bars and look like useless drunks. I think you're overestimating how much funding I was gonna give the bandits for drink and they probably already hang out at the bars. We merely make it more affordable for them and encouraged them to not get blackout drunk since then they wouldn't have anything to report. Or we just start owning bars and each one will have one guy eternally drinking a pint in the corner. Probably two guys relly. That way they can take shifts and be happy employees due to having days off they can spend with family or whatever they find fun.
It's also expanding on the idea another anon had about us getting credit for "saving" criminals and turning them into respectable members of society as part of the things we are known for as a saint.

I think too many potions when we have an extremely bad idea of proper doses for the right effect is a really bad idea.(as evidenced by the messy cleanup we had to engage in) We are gonna keep at the book if only to learn what alchemy/magiks can be used against us and more about Valor, but it's best to not give ourselves a traceable MO.

The ride over was slightly bumpy, that much Maria would admit was an oversight in her opinion. Being a little taller than the average girl did not help, as Maria was very nicely crammed in the box. However when the vehicle stopped Maria waited with baited breath to see what would happen.

“Alright, what are you bringing in today Jimmy?” what Maria assumed was a gate guard spoke while stepping around their cart.

“Just a package for Albert Giovanna and others. Dunno whats in it though, you know, since I don’t the stuff.”

“For the Steward’s Son? I guess it makes sense his family would send him something like this. Alright then, you are clear to go.”

And with that the cart began to move once again, things going along quite fast as Maria sat patiently to be delivered to her destination. They stopped, after which Jimmy gave a few orders before him and what felt to be two over men lifting Maria.

“Hold it steady now, I need to knock on this door.” There was a soft rhythm coming from outside, “Hey Albert, was it? I got a nice package for you, one I am dying to get off my hands.”

The door swung open, “Package? But I was not given forewarning about one.”

“Fore warning, well heres the warning. ‘Someone important has sent you a package, and would like you move before our arms shatter under her weight’.”

“A-alright come in then!”

And like that Maria felt the last few movements before she was settled on the ground, “Alright, there you have it. Have a nice day sir, if you would excuse us.” And with a slam the door was shut behind them.

“What in the name of the Lord?” Albert seemed to mutter while walking about for a moment. Soon though, the sounds of a metal rod came to Maria’s ears as her box shook for a moment, “Well, let’s see what it is.”

There was soon a pop out from the top, to which Maria simply threw the rest of it off to reveal herself. The expression on Albert’s face was quite the silly one. Of course, that was because Maria, dressed as a man, emerged from the box with a good amount of style. Quickly throwing off the hat that was holding in her hair and giving a devilish smirk.

“Fufufu, never thought you’d get a girl in the mail, did you Albert? Well I guess you can count today as your lucky day.”

The two stared at eachother for a moment, Maria in her confidence while Albert was now on his ass in shock.

However it did not take long for Maria and Albert to simply break out in a good hearted laughter.

“Ohohoho!” “Hahaha”

Soon enough though the levity of the laughter was gone, to which Albert simply shook his head in disbelief, “So, uh, why are you here Maria? In a shipping crate no less?”

“Things happened, I needed a smooth opportunity to get away. Since some of my men were around I ordered them to ship me back to the Academy.” Maria said while stepping out of her crate and onto the hard stone floor, “Now I only need to wait a few minutes and Melody should be arriving with a change of clothing.”

“You have it all planned out?”

“It was a quick plan. I will admit it was not foolproof, but the Lord was on my side in this trial.”

And within only a moment of Maria saying those words there was a small knocking on the door. Albert gave Maria one astonished look, before opening the door to reveal a maid carrying a modestly sized box in her hands.

“Mistress, oh, is that you?”

“Yes it is, the disguise was needed.” Maria said while walking over and taking the box out of her hands before looking through it, “Though you choose a good means to transport it I will admit.”

“Thank you mistress.”

“Now where to change?” Maria looked over at a blushing Albert who has a silly blush about himself, “Is there a closet I can use?”

In reply she got a steady nod while pointing towards what was a closet. Quickly opening it, Maria saw a few piles of boxes but ignored them as she closed the door and quickly got her things together.

It did not take long, but Maria emerged with a simple dress, her makeup more or less cleaned up by using the old clothing as rags. Albert barely looked over in hesitation as Maria emerged from the closet.

I think we should politely suggest that Chloe receive tutoring on noble etiquette and ethics. She seems to be having a hard time adapting to or at least understanding the whys of noble behavior. (noblesse oblige) She's been shooting herself in the foot with accidental rudeness and given the real possibility of her being a future queen, grudges that could rip apart the country during a time the miaphate grows stronger could break the ability of the holy nations to resist. We are not suitable for the job of course. We simply do not get along so she would never take our words to heart, but one clever enough to instill the required teachings that harmonize with her personality would be ideal.
Basically we end up forcing her into detention while also having a small chance at making her into a more agreeable person AND locking her down for several extra hours a day until it's drilled into her skull how she managed to make the entire student body hate her.I'm sure it'll backfire later but getting her detention for her own good seems fun.
And then the news of the brothel comes in to make the headmaster double down on getting her an ethics instructor since he already had the suggestion planted by us.
I think we might be too giddy at what we've done to meet with Bon. He might accidentally blab while being a siscon about how bubbly we were today when we meet. I want deranged paranoia from Ford, not suspicion based on actual things no matter how slim the "clue" is.

I feel like it's also time for the misc factions to start acting soon. Two major events (us picking a side thanks to going to war with Ford, and he brothel scandal) have just happened to completely shock them. We need to improve or add redundancies to the spy networks/etc before the adults move in or start hiring assassins.

However much Maria probably should confront the Headmaster about the situation the two fools committed, she needed to check on someone else first. Her brother, someone who she had not seen in quite a while in her honest opinion. To what the man was up to, maybe even the Lord would not know.

So with that in mind Maria walked the halls, though she honestly did not want to come anywhere near the First Prince’s study. Instead she opted to go towards the men’s dorms. Normally this would be seen as scandalous, but Maria made sure many saw her nearing the door to her brother’s room.

Arriving there Maria gave the door a few knocks, “Brother are you in?”

“... Maria?” There was a small scramble of books and such as the door opened to reveal a slightly disheveled Bon, “Sister! I did not expect you to come by. I should get a few things cleaned up!”

The door was quickly shut, the sounds of stuff being moved around coming to Maria’s ears. Soon after however the door was opened, revealing a room that honestly should have been in much better quality.

Strung about the place was a few dozen dishes, along with pieces of paper tossed about. However the floor was clean sans the paper, and atleast the bed was kept pretty well. In Maria’s honest opinion, it looked as if he was living in the place for a little bit. Maybe nearing a week at most.

Quickly enough however Maria’s brother brought a chair to his bed, soon sitting upon it while motioning to the chair, “Sorry about the mess, I, uh, have not had enough time to keep things clean.”

“Oh, thank you…” Maria slowly inched her way through the place as if it was hostile territory. It was honestly kinda jarring to see this place get so bad, but then again Bon did not get a maid or butler.

Maria had a feeling the dishes were from some maids and chefs who her brother befriended.

Her brother however was looking at her with his same cheerful smile, so Maria could not resist but sit herself upon the chair. There was a small welt in her stomach, seeing things like this.

>Simply start a chat with him, nothing more and nothing less about it

Ok. I think grabbing a maid to help would be most in character, but I dunno how sensitive the info we're about to speak with Bon is gonna end up being. But at the same time we're probably too concerned with Bon to care about scheming or cleaning.
And our past life tells us enough about bachelors to know the messiness is "normal."The real problem is that he apparently has to ask maids/etc to feed him while being cooped up in his room.
>>
Maria simply shook her head before looking at her brother with a stern stare, “Alright Bon, I am going to be straight with you. What the hell happened?”

“W-what do you mean.” He asked a little shakily.

“Your room is covered in trash, and the smell of slightly molding food reaches my nose.” Her eyes squared themselves on him, “It is unbecoming of you, as I am sure the maids and tutors of fathers would have taught you otherwise.”

“Is it that bad…” The Young man simply shook his head in what seemed to be exhaustion, “I made you worry, what kinda big brother am I?”

“One who has more incommon with a Roach than a Dragon or Man.” However in the end Maria could not be angry at the man for long, doubly so when he looks so defeated, “Say it now, Bon, so that I don’t need to worry about you.”

[Conversation Success]

“I, uh, had a little bit of a falling out with Ford and the Prince the other day.” He answered with a false smile upon his lips, “You can say things were not really working out.”

Maria made a motion with her hands, beckoning her brother in blood to continue. Though one could not truly underestimate how much of a boil Maria’s blood was starting to become.

“If I had to be honest, things were going pretty well at the start of the week. The Prince seemed to have been raised from the dead, becoming something more akin to a, well, person.” Bon gave a slight laugh until shaking his head, “But after a few days, well, that girl you warned me about showed up.”

“Of course it would be… Continue Brother.”

“Well you see, Ford was not saying the most kindest of things about you Sister. I thought I would put in a correction, and we got into a slight debate about the ethics of things. After that, well everything kinda just dropped from there.”

“Did they harm you, in any way?”

Bon looked over to a Maria who seemed to be at her boiling point before shaking his head, “No, it was simply a difference in opinion. A few days after our argument I did not really feel welcomed there anymore.”

The timelines at least matched up, as that was when lines were finally drawn and war was declared. In her honest opinion, it was a good thing that Bon was not drawn to their side. If nothing else that she can still talk to him for the moment.

Though in the end she was the cause of this, her ambition and hatred being the causes. However, things could have been so much worse.

That's because we are. We tried to be friendly with the heroine and had a slight mishap with preventing a war.(My impression is that we clearly didn't expect for those potions to be so potent or long lasting) Even our "ambitions" for conquest are almost entirely for the sake of defending the entire damn continent from invasion and brutal occupation. We respect and appreciate people of all castes, may have stopped hardcore bullying from our clique against Chloe from sheer graciousness, saved people from demonic cultists, and have started a campaign against continental malnutrition.

We may not be going full sentai, but we are generally approaching some general standard of good.

In contrast, Ford is a paranoid control freak too far up his own ass to realize the irony that he's basically using Lucien like a puppet on a string via cutting off his growth in his attempts to protect Lucien. His batman code would be ok if he wasn't a damn hypocrite about it. It's one thing if he doesn't want to kill, but he's willing to put other people's lives at risk for the sake of it. Also he's a rude little shit.

Chloe refuses to understand the local culture and offends everyone like an american or chinese tourist. When her own plots/plans get something in the way she has a tantrum about how mean whatever person got in the way is because fate didn't bend over and take whatever she wanted do do. She seems to just refuse to do self reflection. Ford is good because he's nice to her in her mind no matter what he did like being "mean" to somebody and lying about them. Makes me suspect some minor narcissism here. Maybe she realizes she's a protag on some level?

Lucien absolutely despises us because he's thinking with his dick and letting Chloe's hatred of us influence him rather than think things through.Or remember that we're the one that hooked him up in the first place.

Waltz was willing to throw his own cousin under the bus for profit because he simply didn't care enough.

I honestly applaud you QM for leaving in all the asshole traits otome love interests/characters tend to have that are often ignored by the narrative because they're hot. (unless it's a comedy where the villainess seduces the heroine)

I'm going to need to work on some business ventures to be able to afford protecting his citizens from collapsing his fiefdom.Trying to sprinkle hints of our capabilities that are entirely GOOD AND MORAL so that it's not a surprise that we're competent outside the battlefield.

>tfw it was all a plot by Bon to scare off any potential suitor not sufficiently manly enough for us.
But on a serious note. He tried the "I like you, feel free to fuck my sister" thing with the first prince.
The next time our character gets real downtime (Chloe has really kept us on the defensive constantly and cut into time we could be expanding, improving, or modernizing things) I think we gotta map out some advancements we plan on making overall. Take our own advice to Chloe about needing to delegate responsibility.

Eg. Invent microscope/telescope. Tutor some disciple/scientists or promisingly bright peasants/knights from our realm who will be loyal on germ theory while pretending it's knowledge we stole/hid from the Caliphate or stumbled upon. Let them research on their own after we gave them enough hints. The improved hygiene practices, possible finding of penicillin, and improved medicine from our modern lessons (Japanese would know how blood types work for sure when that was a mystery that confounded scientists for centuries) to them alone will dramatically decrease soldier deaths to create a long term advantage in warfare.(Dr Elise had an absolutely insane mortality rate drop as a reference)
It also stops women from dying in childbirth like our mother did because doctors used to be retarded enough to inspect cadavers by hand, then go right into delivering babies without any cleanup.
Stack enough of these advancements and we can be too valuable for anyone to think of expelling or killing.

I meant more like a small write up giving us a glimpse of some one else, even without interaction.

Also I'd say most people on qst are a lot better at playing the character even if it's against the 'main' character. Might come from the /tg/ rpg roots

“Oh, just come over here!” Maria quickly got up from her seat and gave the man a hug with all the love a sister could bare, “I am sorry for what happened, but I am really glad you are safe now.”

“I…” Though he did not give any tears the man did not resist her. It might have been the simple fact that such love was not felt in a while, since their mother died upon Maria’s birth. Even now, Maria wondered what life could have been if she actually had a mother who cared for them instead of a Father who had to spend almost all times of the day administering his realm.

Nothing against the man, though, as he tried his best to both administer the realm and care for his children.

After what seemed like a few minutes she broke away, the look on Bon’s face much more relieved now, “I suck as a big brother, needing a pick me up from my little sister.”

“No, you are not.” Maria answered with a genuine smile upon herself, “I would not have any other being my brother, know that.”

“Thank you sis.” He answered with a soothed smile.

“Well alright then, that is that.” Maria answered with a clapping of her hands upon his, “Come on, get up from there so that you can stand up tall.”

With a pull Maria was able to bring up upon his feet. Her contagious and confident smile seemed to be creeping upon him, which was quite the joy to see. Now then…

“Bon, I must ask but did you have any other friends besides those fools?” She asked with a hint of caution in her voice.

“Well, uh… no.” He said flatly before thinking for another moment, “Well scratch that, there was a maid who came over and was helping me out.”

“Do you know her name?”

“I… don’t actually. She never gave it, and was simply showing up here and there to help me out.” He admitted while scratching his cheek, “I asked her why, but she simply said it was her duty.”

Maria gave a sigh, as such a situation was not the best. If there were some other friends he had off to the side, he probably would have transplanted himself off to them instead. However, now was not the time to be sad about that. She needed to make sure her brother did not sink back into despair once again!!

He'll learn some military whether he likes it or not. It'll be nice to be attached to someone who is motivated, but not overly righteous to the point of inflexibility.

We're gonna do
>Why not track down this mysterious maid

Best ensure the maid isn't a spy first. Overprotective sister n' whatnot.

>Remind him of his childhood ambitions to be a Lord with imouto power showing that we still believe in him.
He mostly had the same education as us before the kidnapping. Even if we unnaturally took to it faster, he's still going to have some skill in intrigue/etc, he constantly had to fill in work for the prince himself(so he probably has far more skill/insight in administration than is required for a tiny little country like ours). Bon is perfectly capable. Really , the fact that those idiots chased him out like that was incredibly stupid due to the sheer amount of information he basically left with. I mean really, Bon had his fingers dipped in so deep that for other groups him being made to leave would put him in assassination territory to protect national secrets.

We don't need to baby Bon. Help him out like a proper sibling? Sure. But he doesn't need coddling. Two siblings working separately will undoubtedly also make us even more unpredictable as a whole. Enemies won't just have to defeat our factions, they will have to defeat the Bon faction too.

>Track down this mysterious maid so that we can thank her for helping our brother out.It had better not be Chloe in disguise. Doesn't matter if she's a spy or not. If she was/is one then treating her better than her superiors can slowly win loyalty over to us.

Before the night is over
>Send father a letter detailing recent political events. Eg Ford being an inexplicable asshat and earning our long term ire. Bon being kicked out from the first prince's inner circle for defending us against their lies and slander. I don't want father to be blindsided if the offending factions do anything.

This is vital information on our national level even if he just decides to tell Lucien allied territories to fuck off in response. Father has enough experience to probably milk them for resources before word about 1st prince faction dumbassery against the territory reaches various ears.

She is the daughter of a noble governing a saintly pilgrimage territory and I was questioning why she's not also attending the academy. It wouldn't be a bad catch for Bon imo.

I feel like Bon is a bonus DLC character that acts like a stereotypically noble knightley noble. Sorta a Richard the Lionheart (as told in legends like Robin Hood instead of what he was like in history) without having gotten the confidence to pull it off yet? He isn't too severe and off the deep end like Ford. He's willing to battle to protect others or his family. He has the ambition to be a fair ruler enough to protect his people and those around him. He did waste all those years trying to get the first prince to move his ass for a rescue mission. Knowing what we now know about Ford, it's no surprise that it never happened. Mr Pacifist would have only gone for options that get his own people killed and nobody was dumb enough to do that suicide mission. In the end it shows that Bon does not abandon people. Overall he's the sort of king/Lord the local people would look up to for letting them sleep soundly at night.
>>4392619
I'm sure there are nobles unscrupulous enough. Ford may be a paranoid shit, but he's right about nobles being more than willing to murder. That brings up a problem I just realized a minute or so ago but didn't bring up since we are too in the dark about factions and how vicious they currently are.
If we personally get deemed to be a major threat by the first prince faction, they can assassinate our father to force us home to govern the territory (or anything we are obligated to do before returning if a regent is appointed until we graduate)
It's incredibly easy to take us off the board at a crucial time like that since our reputation makes us the clear choice for next in line. Father needs to get rid of that beer gut asap and get to fighting strength to spank any would be assasins to death.

Waltz's parents also had pretty damn suspicious deaths.I think he was meant to just be a puppet as well since he always goes along with whatever the most convenient thing was for himself. He can be easy to manipulate if something is phrased as being convenient for himself but I think he's also been getting too savvy and capable of just dumping baggage by the wayside.

You forgot our spy that's been tailing Chloe. I'm a little worried that she got caught now that it turns out the bird is a real threat to surveillance. That could actually be a decent reason for why they suddenly went ultra hostile (instead of them being dumbasses) despite our plausible deniability now that I think of it. I think tonight and tomorrow(ingame) are gonna have us busy trying to get intel before the brothel bomb gets dropped and covers anything else up we might learn. “Well, alright then let me take you to someone.” Maria announced with a smirk written across her face, “Come!”

Bon looked confused for a moment, confused as all hell for a moment. However none could truly resist the living force of nature that was Maria, and soon the man was lead his room into the halls.

As they walked, the sun was slowly dropping over the horizon. It seemed that Maria had spent one hell of a time here today, nothing much else to it. Honestly, this day might have been her most productive, since it felt like almost an entire week had passed in it.

It did not matter, as Maria soon arrived at the sight of men clashing blades against one another. The one in recognizable armor was winning as he slowly overpowered the other with his weapons in the crossguards. However quickly that changed as his opponent gave a body slam against his.

And like that a ringing could be heard across the arena.

“Damn it, not even a hit.”

“Don’t be so hard on yourself Victor, you are facing the Captain of the Guard.” The other armored man announced while rubbing the other’s helm, “Ho, I think those spectators are for you.”

“Hmm, oh Maria!” the Knightly figured cheered while running up to the fence, “Did you… bring your brother as well?”

“Fufu, you made quite a good guess.” Maria made a show of her hands, “His name is Bon, and Bon this is Victor. You two surely have seen each other at some point?”

“Uh yeah.” Bon answered at one point, “You were with us over at the city right? Where Maria uprooted the Cultist.”

“Indeed, and I helped in that expedition.” He answered with a smile, “It is my honor to meet someone who shares the same blood as the person I am sworn to serve.”

“Yeah, thanks for looking over the Keep and serving her.” Bon answered with a smile.

The Hex Maniac stalker. We convinced her that Chloe is a subject worth observing.
I think we should make a publishing company. Seems silly for us to introduce the idea of romance novels as a genre to the world and then some unrelated people make insane bank off of it if it spreads like wildfire. On that note. We should invent international banking. Go full megacorps with the power to rule the world centuries ahead of time.

>>
>>4393047
Not really. Stocks and bonds should exist already and everything we know to be illegal when it comes to finance isn't illegal now.
The trick that Nathan Mayer Rothschild would do was to have a spy network so fast that he'd hear news up to a day ahead of time. He'd then spread rumours that the other side of a war had won to drop stock prices before buying them up and making an obscene profit. Basically imagine crashing the entire stock market before it booms. Extremely illegal by modern standards but a new not yet thought of crime here. The best part is we just have to build upon what we've already made.

I'm not really bringing technology into it at all for the proposal. Advancing technology specifically for international banking would just be an insane cheat.

>>4393044
Depends on if she mentions that she was told to focus on Chloe by us since she has no idea she's "supposed" to hide it.
Should still get to her before they try to hush up the brothel incident as if that's even possible even if it's for a basic update.I also have a sneaking suspicion that Chloe's camp could adapt her into an information broker type npc for herself. Either way we get more insight into her "plots" by getting in touch.

>>4392985
>Alright, just keep this conversation going and we will have a good time

“Alright then, now that you two have met I need to go find something out.” Maria mused while inching away, “Victor please entertain my brother, as I am sure you are able to do that!”

“What do you-” Before Victor could finish his sentence Maria was already gone. Such was the cover of a cloudy night, as she just disappeared in the wind, “Damn, how did she do that?”

“Well she is my sister, sometimes I wonder what she can’t do.” Bon admitted with a soft chuckle.

“Well watching her kill heretics twice her size, yeah your pretty right there.”

“Really? I knew my sister was good but is she really that good?”

“Hehe, well we had a tournament recently…”

As the two began to talk Maria had already crossed the majority of the campus, a small jog in her step. Her aim of course was to track down the Maid who had been mysteriously taking care of her Brother. Such a person, well she did not know if she should thank or be suspicious of them.

However soon enough Maria was back in the male dorms, those standing outside wondering why in the world was Maria walking in. However none really wanted to stop her, and her destination was quite obvious to those who were aware of the prestigious family.

It was to her luck however that as Maria was on the third floor, crossing by a corner that she noticed a person walking towards her brother’s door. Slowly but surely she crept up, caring what looked to be a plate of bread and dried meats.

However, a moment of just looking at the girl made Maria realize who it was. So she openly walked towards the person when they began to knock on the door.

“Mr. Regnia, I have brought you some food. Are you in?” She asked before suddenly going stiff. Like one right out of a horror movie, Melody over her shoulder, “M-Mistress!!”

“So this is the reason you were coming to my room late.” Maria said with a coy smile, “You have a good bit to explain for, Melody.”

Get us beloved by children and increase literacy rates for the next generations? great idea. I think we need to collect folktales from this world as well. There's no telling what would look like we ripped it off if we don't research ahead of time as well as making sure that the tales we tell are appropriate. There could easily have been other reincarnators before and reincarnators are infamous for being unrepentant plagiarizing bastards.

Alright everyone here is the checklist of Maria's future plans.

1. Cultivate the literature to the masses by writing novels that everyone can access from whether from our pen name or yours truly.
2. Research possible medicine and how far the study has been. Then we do what we know that will probably leap medicine in 100 or possibly 300 years ahead.
3. Wrangle the entire market by exploiting products that we produce in the future.
4. Forwarding the Agricultural sector with modern practice and enhancing the yield of crops to sustain future expansions and make our people happy.
5. Convert all scummy people especially with skills under us and work where environment suits them effectively cutting all criminal activities.
6. Make some "proverbs" to the church for appease not only the clergy but to our God as well.
7. Appeal to the children and elderly by making stories, myths and parables.

Anything should we add? I thinking of making a bank where all people should deposit their money with growing interest. But I think the adventure guild probably has one. The only thing I'm worried about is how much Maria can only do. We really need people for this.

4chan crashed on me while I was writing ideas down. Obviously other anons can veto anything I suggest.
1 and 7 seem to be the same thing
1) I think training sessions between the bandits and the knights would be good. The safety gear and facepaint would make them not as recognizable. It'll also cut off any bandits that are getting stir crazy about the lack of excitement in their lives Eg, Defend against a mock bandit raid. If the Bandits manage to steal or ruin the delicious chocolate cake. Winner gets the chocolate cake. It can be in a caravan or makeshift "castle" they have to sneak into. We're slowly warping the bandits into ninjas?

2)Expand our spy networks. The Nobility backstabbing and assassinations are about to kick into high gear since a bunch of chaos happening all at once forces everyone to pay attention. It'll help us wrangle markets and keep atop of incoming noble plots.

3) Pay that cook and get him out of there before Ford or anyone else checks up on him to try and clear up this incident. Maybe Albert can "hire" him to check out something?.

4) Get a bunch of bandits to just go from town to town drinking in the bars and spreading the news about the brothel until it becomes legendary. I half want this to overshadow the golden couple's entire reign if we lose. Hundreds of years from now teenagers will be snickering at Lusty Lucien and his golden tart's debaucherous orgies. Like Nero fiddling when Rome was burning down except it's considered real historical fact as backed up by church documents about Chloe getting in trouble.

5) Delegate tasks. The plate is obviously full. We gotta find subordinates willing/able to expand on what hints we give for various fields.

6) Actually find out what Ford and the others are doing. We've been ignoring them when going forward we need to figure out what they really are capable of. Luckily the local teens don't seem to be as skilled as us in espionage yet.

7)There is still that tournament, although I think that should be a lower priority.

8) Strengthen defenses. This stuff makes us a juicy target with no buffer nations since we're supposed to be the buffer nation.

The concept of charitable greed applies here even if we aren't personally being greedy.

Eg. Who is better off? The person with all the money or half of the money? The answer is half of the money because if the rest of the people are too poor to make/invent stuff the first option ends up with less stuff to own. Sharing the wealth in order to get even better stuff than before is the most greedy option. Enlightening the people will in turn cause some of them to make innovations off of our hints on their own. Enriching their lives with equitable pay when the alternative was being overworked for little pay brings forth loyalty.

The amount of stuff to do is massive, but we (hopefully) have the rest of our lives to complete at lt least half of it. Getting the ball rolling is enough.

[Intrigue Success]

“Come with me, let’s head back to my room.” Maria said while turning around and walking the walk.

The maid could not say anything against it, and began to follow Maria herself.

Simply out, Maria was not dumb enough to scorn her maid right out in the open. Such a display would not be very good, even in the eyes of Nobles. It was not that long atleast, as soon they arrived in Maria’s room with Melody giving Maria a short bow.

“So, Melody, do you know what you did wrong?” Maria gave a low growl as she spoke.

“Y-yes. I should have told you about your brother Mistress!”

“Good, though you need to put that into action next time. Why did you keep the information away from me and for how long?”

“Uh, maybe about four, five days.” She answered with a quivering frown, “I knew you were doing something very important around then, so I took care of your brother until you had a chance to meet with him. I…”

“Speak you mind, was that going to be an excuse?”

“Well, today I was going to bring you to your brother, but you were not in your room at the normal time.” She claimed with a slight squirm.

Well, Maria would admit that explained the timelines a little better. The reason she caught Melody so late was probably because she wasted time trying to find Maria first. And ofcourse, Melody always being late to Maria’s room was because of this care.

So, “Well, while I do not like information being kept from myself you did a good job. Indeed I was preoccupied, and one wrong step anytime in the last few days would have caused a great many problems. And lastly, you cared for my brother when I did not require you to. So thank you.”

“Oh, you’re welcome Mistress!” Melody cheered while standing upright.

“Well time to go to sleep, alright. We have a big week ahead of us!”

Holy shit. Did the news travel that fast?

As fun as getting Chloe kicked out is, it's a trap option. Anyone against her gets a rude awakening when her saint powers kick in. What she needs is a strict tutor to bring her in line. Most of her problems are supposedly caused by sheer ignorance of what she's doing wrong rather than malice or sin. Any improvements on Chloe's part in the future (like revealing her saint powers) are then credited to us for being so gracious as to save her wayward soul and bring her to the path of righteousness.

Sorry for doing so many actions. I just really need an alibi AND to make sure Chloe isn't excommunicated. I think we might oversleep or something as compensation for working so hard tonight.

Why do I get the feeling that you're imagining victorian dominatrix Maria tutoring Chloe via bondage?

I had considered that backfire, but I really hope we don't. Jackasses might sit in on the tutoring to annoy the crap out of us even more than Chloe does while we earnestly actually try to teach Chloe how to be less offensive to everyone. I guess we could turn it into an advantage by giving us an excuse to have people openly spying on her every move so that we have something to critique each day? Still cuts into time we could be spending with Albert, scheming to improve our fiefdom, or family time. A huge inconvenience to our freedom. I personally just want to be sure the tutor isn't a first prince faction trying to brainwash her or a male that will fall for her seduction and carry on with our real plans.

Dunno why we're all voting hear gossip we can learn from the mailmen tomorrow (or just learn in the morning from them) but at least i'll be entertaining..

Soon enough the next day came, and with it classes. For the most part they went by pretty well, Maria noting how Chloe once more attended the Faith class. However besides either of them passing glances, nothing much came from it. It was kinda a shame really, since Maria was wanting to know her reaction to the local Town’s whores going after her boy.

It was after class however that things really started to matter, as Maria traveled through the grand halls of the Academy’s inner most sanctums. Just like the many times before, there were religious iconography all about the walls while statues seemingly depicted the great Saints and Heroes of Old.

Soon enough though Maria arrived out infront of large oak doors, a rhythmic knocking her attempt to gain entry. There was a small, nearly inaudible cry from behind them to which Maria took as permission to enter.

“Welcome back, Kingslayer.” The old man said with a tired look about himself, “I trust you have been trying your best to attain some form of training?”

“Yes I have, though I will admit finding just trials are hard enough, but those in which the Lord himself recognizes can be seen as impossible.” Maria answered while taking a seat at the chair before the old man.

“That is good that is good. Only time will tell if the Lord blesses you.” He answered offhandedly before giving a long sigh, “Though I must thank you, as the warning you gave to me a few weeks ago seems to have held true.”

“Are you talking about the words of a Devil?”

“Indeed that is true. I have been keeping an eye on her, and every word of that seems to have rang true in some way shape or form.” He gave a short laugh, “Even now she is trying to save the two fools from being removed from the school.”

“How does the girl plan to do that?”

“She believes that there is something else in play, an outside force affecting them. However might that be the case, the children have committed a grave crime and an affront to the workings of the Academy.” The old man simply shook his head, “If Oskar of Holand was simply a duke I would have had him gone by now, but news has just arrived the boy is now the Despot of Holand. If we go through with this, I fear they will turn towards Heresy.”

I probably wrote too much. If I go with one only, I'm going with pin the blame on Chloe having uncontrolled love powers.
>What evidence has Chloe generated? I had been considering making my own investigation out of curiosity and to pass some time.
If this force exists, then some leniency may be in order as the guilt and damage to their reputations should be enough to motivate them on the path to atonement and piety. This is a mere conjecture, but Chloe's outside force may also be an inability to control this ability to capture hearts that God has bestowed upon her. Her innocent yearnings for her friend's romance could have gone horribly wrong. It is best she does not realize this as such a power in inexperienced hands can lead to corruption.

“Well, they do have a history of it.” Maria admitted while giving a steady nod, “This would only be the third generation to follow the faith right?”

“Indeed that is the case, and so soon did one of their kin fall to vice.”

With the chance given to her, Maria finally made her move, “If you follow through with his removal, I will see to it that the lands are not lost. I cannot suffer them to even have the chance at Apostasy.”

“Strong words for someone who does not truly have an army to their name.” The Cardinal said before shaking his head, “However I have heard the Knights who moved the very earth are aligned with you.”

“Indeed that is the case. I have also started to gather support from inside the Empire as well.” Maria answered with a smile, “I have the blood of their royal family running through my veins, Headmaster. Someone who actually follows the tenets of the Lord should rule over the throne instead.”

“So if I let this boy go, his lands will be conquered by all sides.”

“I will not lie, Father, that is what will happen. A conquest with the Servants of God to tame and consume the foolish remnants of a Pegan Empire.”

The room was silent, the old man thinking about the words Maria said to him. The Bishop was an older man of course, one who held the powers of an elector for Lord’s voice on earth. Making the wrong decision here would mean the end of his career, which was not something a man who could potentially carry the Lord’s word himself.

[Faith/Conversation Success]

“Very well, I will see about finalizing the documents for his expulsion. The Church shall take this moment not to be weak, but instead prove that we follow our word to the end.”

“Thank you very much. I will finish my preparations than myself.” And with that Maria rose from her seat and made her way to the door. With a swift motion, she opened it wide to see a single person infront of her.

“Y-you are here, Mrs. Regnia!?” Chloe asked as Maria looked down upon the girl.

I'm hesitant to enroll Chloe in classes, if only because with her plot armor we shouldn't be giving her more skills that she might use against us.

It might be a my fair lady situation from hell where Chloe suddenly becomes the perfect noblewoman that's even more of a threat to us.
>>
>>4395825

>Going with this
Really the thinly veiled disdain Oskar showed for the authority of the religion when we were looking at his argument with unfortunate childhood friend probably already toppled him hard. The headmaster seems to have already admitted he has spies (or at least eyes) within the church.
>Make a mental notes to put in fake vials of the potions we took out since there's an inventory list. Chloe, the bird, or somebody else might try to break into our room soon, so having a full inventory can save us if we don't decapitate an intruder upon discovery.
>>4395825
This is true, but we could just keep on being morally upright. Yes QM. We are morally upright in all things we do barring this recent lapse where we probably didn't even need to use the potions in the first place due to Oskar running his mouth like he's not in the middle of the Vatican. (Barring an incident with potions that should not have remotely had this sort of potency. I still suspect that Chloe did something to drastically increase potency/duration by merely existing or unknowingly.) It buys us time we shouldn't have wasted before.

We also don't really care if Chloe becomes a perfect noblewoman. What we want is for her to stop with her insane annoying grudge or at least to just leave us alone. We at least have a good reason. She's just been doubling down since we pointed out that she has a bad reason for hers.
Oskar is the first person we've ever been aggressive at as far as noble scheming goes and his situation merely exploded out of control while catching us in a severe mood via sheer dumb luck.
Everything is happening because jackasses can't leave us alone and it's outright threatening our lives. Without the asshat stance from Lucien's inner circle (Mostly Ford) we'd have probably just asked our cousin if he could open up a trade route by now instead of taking drastic action to secure our own survival.
If we end up leaving a biography behind , Chloe would end up playing the villain role in the eyes of the readers for being so unnaturally spiteful with us as the plucky underdog surviving her nefarious schemes by a hair.

Maybe I'm not as worried as I should be since I have a backup plan for if Albert is taken off the table by outside forces (That will live long enough to regret that) to take Solomon as our wife by force after sending a letter of challenge? He seems like he'd totally accept it if he didn't do the other super ballsy/genius move into try and woo us m so hoping QM figured out.
>>
>>4396031
I feel like it's QM (Chloe) vs Us (Maria) right now. She pops out when we don't expect and is moving right behind our tail. Does she even sleep? How the heck she is keeping us on our toes everytime?

My attempted trick at saying Chloe has uncontrolled powers might be more accurate than I realized . Unless we have some sort of effect bonus at drugging people due to being a villainess? I suspect the love triangle got a double whammy of mind alteration now that the waitress talking about prompting comes to mind.

At the minimum, (A situation where she isn't causing an effect,) Chloe was cool abusing the drugs to her own shipping ends when she noticed them and is only now having a problem with it because her plan failed. If she didn't, then that means Chloe thought her prompting having those results was nothing unusual. That's a possible sign that she herself was manipulating them (probably unconsciously since she still is supposed to be super innocent.) with her dialogue options. As an outsider, the waitress(and the headmaster's spies) can notice this because they aren't being ensorceled by the original game writer's inability to write natural dialogue.

As for her tailing us, that's her plot armour and it feels like she's stalking us more than she actually is. The writing focuses more on Chloe moments than it does on us learning from misc classes. The stalking us in a knight outfit is kinda the thing that teeters over edge the idea that she is truly stalking us unnaturally, but we can't reveal that publicly. We need at least a few more sessions before we can conclude we're not being paranoid and Chloe really is somehow stalking us.

I figured out a cover for bridging the chef to leave. What do you guys think about Albert hiring him to write a travel guide or restaurant reviews? As a Chef good enough to feed nobility he knows enough about restaurants to critique everything thoroughly and give out reviews. It gives him long term reasons to continue shutting his mouth as he is continuously getting pair, it prevents him from running out of money and trying to blackmail us for more, he can't get robbed of everything for being too rich on the initial journey,, and just overall is a far more stable arrangement. Albert even gets to profit off of it if she plays his cards right. Tourists have been around for thousands of years in our world. That's why we have the seven wonders of the world in the first place There are undoubtedly tourists who would want to read a travel guide. Obviously he gets well paid in exchange for his hard work at fine
dining and entertaining ladies as restaurants.
What do you guys think?

I wonder where those cursed demon papers ran off too. There's going to be a third party running around ruining shit (Who should have just reported it to the headmaster) once it finds a susceptible host and we are going to have so much fun purging the heretic when that time comes. The headmaster must be getting worried that there's been no word of them since they disappeared.

Like the fellow below you has said, you are facing someone who is technically a protagonist in their own story. Due to events, her story line is right now trying to save Oskar from being Expelled.

Simply put, unless this is resolved or something else comes up, she will continuously be at your heels.
>>
>>4396377
Then we have no choice but to:
1. Investigate what happened ourselves ourselves (as well as find out Chloe's evidence
2. Pin this all on Chloe's powers being uncontrolled(Really gotta get more evidence for that, but I think the investigation should give us something to spin a story with. Oskar gets to stay since he was accidentally under the influence of a saint, therefore it must be the will of God. He's forced to marry the two timing slut that undoubtedly carries the NTRed boyfriend's child.
3.Graciously save Chloe from the backlash to prevent plot armour from reacting.

4.Invade anyway since they can't even hold barbarians at bay, he's been known to publicly mock the authority of the Holy Empire, and clearly the child (she might be impregnated with) is the true miracle of god's will if there was one. I have my doubts this kid would get blessed with the attitude he had before. Chloe's saint powers probably converted him in the old timeline but he's not at that point, so the church has no reason to save his ass from our invasion and annexation. The threat of major miaphate invasion actually give even more reason to strengthen the main country keeping them at bay(Mountainous terrain is usually a bad idea for an invasion, so we must have some sort of travel advantage like a series of weak countries behind us to prompt invading switzerland of all places. People usually go around the swiss instead because it's easier.)

Maria looked over the smaller girl with a stubborn and annoyed stare, simply the fact being she is right next to her being a nuisance. However as she thought about it though, Maria grew a small smile.

“It is a pleasure to see you once again Chloe, can I ask why you are here for?”

“I am here to talk to the Headmaster!” She claimed with a slight hiccup.

“Is that so, well I will walk you in then. I have actually been thinking about something that may help you, but I just need the Headmaster’s agreement.”

Confusion was written all over Chloe’s face, but Maria’s hand simply guided her into the room. There was a slightly surprised look upon the man’s face as Maria did so, but did not say anything about it. Instead however he directed his attention towards Chloe, “Daughter Loveheart, can I ask why you came to my office here today?”

“I wanted to talk to you about Oskar, but uh, can I ask you to leave Miss Regnia?” Chloe said with a shaky smile upon herself, “Sorry but it is between me and the Headmaster.”

“It is fine for her to be here, my daughter. You realize I cannot accept your pleas of letting Despot Oskar from being expelled when the evidence is monumental.” The Headmaster answered with a shaking of the head.

Chloe did not waver in her stance, “I swear though he was not sound of mind when it happened. The restaurant that we went to that night was closed the next day! Very suspicious.”

The older man seemed to shake his head at her antics, however Maria was feeling his pain. Currently this girl was close to the Crown Prince, meaning if he said the wrong thing now the Church might be harmed. However…

“Loveheart, you must realize that my authority demands I expel them. If I do not have more evidence besides this circumstantial then it will go through.”

“A week, just give me a week and I will prove it!”

“I, hmm….”

Once again the Cardinal was placed in a troubling position, and honestly Maria saw no reason why not to accept their proposal. However, all in all this action was going to endanger her, which was not something Maria wanted. So taking the chance Maria acted.

“Headmaster, if I may suggest.” Maria began with a small coughing in her hands, “We all know that Chloe here is extremely close to the First Prince, however she is only of Baron rank at best. If she wishes to do this under his Authority, she should at least learn the Etiquette to know how to properly ask for this. Why she might even make a fool of the Prince if she does not know how to dance.”

Chloe seemed prime to say something, however it was the man who said his first, “Very well, Loveheart I shall arrange a tutor for you in exchange for the extension. On the Tuesday of next week, you can present me your findings.”

The girl seemed stunned at first, but none the less nodded, “I, uh, will do that then. It might even help me.” She ended with a small laugh.

“Indeed, now please both of you leave. I need to make preparations.”

Objectives for the week are:
1. To get that cook out of town NOW. Have mailman sneak him out? Albert contract? Just dumb gold and say go? Now that I think of it, the shop being closed wasn't actually suspicious at all. There's no indication that he couldn't have just decided to close for a single day.
2. Start our own "investigation" to see what evidence we might have left behind. Chloe saying there's manipulation afoot gives us reason to take interest. Anyone saying we can't be concerned about secret plans to dethrone nations can sod off.
3. Johnson Humperdink and Oskar Balinski. were openly arguing while Oskar slandered the empire in public. “I do not bow to your emperor, as neither does the Holy See, damn imperialist!” News of this was probably drowned out by my issues with Ford. It might be time to teach him some respect. Would this be a suitable casus belli due to the sheer flagrance of it?

4.Mailmen to spread news of the brothel if plot armour didn't completely dismantle that prank. Not sure how that can happen since even the part where we left is enough for some drunk dude to plausibility brag about it. Gonna have to message them instead of going directly since this is Chloe being suspicious.

5. Check on Bon. Apologize for not seeing him much, but we are deliberating on how Ford will suffer.

Alright, seems we know what is happening now!
>>
Tuesday was a short day, with nothing much happening in Maria’s honest opinion. However nothing much happening was probably the best news Maria could have, because that meant all of her schemes were going just as planned.

So classes came and went, Maria enjoying her Economics and Faith while blazing through Military. Honestly at this rate she was probably equal to about any adult in these fields and more, simply the fact she needs to attend these sessions was what kept her there.

Soon the classes were over and Maria began to follow Albert who took notice, “Oh, have you finished things up I take it?”

“Oh, I have on some things not on other things. Let us go though I want to see how everyone is fairing, as well as yourself Albert.”

“Alright, uh, thanks.” He answered with a minor blush.

So the pair traveled through the halls, soon arriving at the room in which the others would come. Somehow this time Maria and Albert came in first, which of course meant they all got first seats.

Albert of course took a desk seat, which would have hurt Maria’s feelings a little if it was not obvious he was doing work. For herself, well the couch looked quite appatizing for a place to sit at leisure.

Soon enough the other two came, Matheo coming in first while Elric himself came soon after. Of course while Matheo had his seat still, Elric was out of luck as he noticed Maria in his.

“... Can you move?”

“But I like this seat.” Maria answered back with a coy smile before pointing, “You can have that chair instead, let me have this atleast.”

The man seemed to think for a moment, before looking at what admittedly a comfee chair. With a small murmur that he should have gotten there faster, he took the seat for himself.

“So, how has everything been?” Maria mused with a smug smile in victory, “Have you all been keeping yourselves quite well?”

It was Matheo who started it, “Nothing much in my book, well, except for that strange girl coming over to ask me a few questions. Nothing too bad, but it was weird.”

“Same here, though I did not give her much to work with.” Elric admitted with a sigh, “Besides that, I’ve been told by my father to find a girlfriend.”

“I guess he trusts in the old saying,” Matheo said with a smile.

“Have an heir and a spare.” Elric admitted with a sigh, “Though honestly I don’t have any ladies who I can care much about, well, except Maria here since I owe you a bunch.”

“Oh you flatter me Elric, but I have another who I am going with.”

“We heard.” Matheo said with a smile, “I think it was yesterday when news came that you had chosen good ol’ Albert.”

And like that, a small thump was heard from the desk and a murmur. Maria guessed it was pretty obvious that they were saying all those just to get a few nabs at Albert. Who knows how bad they got it on Monday when Maria let word slip.

Did I fail to notice us paying the cook before? I would have thought at minimum we'd have a mailman send in the vacation pay in the morning since they're known to drop off mail hourly.
I was tempted by Chloe control since keeping track of her lets us escape properly, but we can't deal with everything else while trying to take her head on.

I do not advise playing with their hearts, but since they all throw themselves at you, it might be a good idea to pick the daughter of one that can strongly support you in the annexation of Holand whether they were already a supporter or could be turned. Just make sure they know that they are a figurehead for the dance since your father is demanding you find a possible suitor and let them down gently if you don't see something for the long term. The parents of various nobles will hear and throw in some extra support to pamper their dear daughter and essentially try to bribe you into picking her hand. Your pick will not care if it's only a single night of romance since they are like ravenous wolves overjoyed at the capture of an unprotected elk. Do try to stay ahead of their schemes. If you thought the scene I witnessed at the balcony the other day was something it's nothing compared to when they realize you really are up for grabs and start infighting.
And stay away from being seduced by Chloe unless you are prepared for a civil war.

>She constantly pops up an a most unnatural way. It wouldn't surprise me if she accidentally fell into that closet to overheard our conversation just moments before we entered this room.

I was actually worried about Ford trying something before, but now that I think of it, we have almost no reason to not just beat his shit in for disrespect in the future. The biggest issue is that Chloe would suddenly curebomb his ass out of nowhere if the thrashing is sound enough.

She can't cure bomb him if we fight him in a fair duel. That'd be illegal. I mean she can after, but the trashing in public is what is important. Neither of their plot armors can protect him from being embarrassed publicly by the villainess, especially when she's within her rights to do so.

We also DO need to agree on a code for talking about Chloe as she has a tendency to be in eavesdropping situations. Plus why would she not want us there. Maria hasn't done ANYTHING suspicious yet. Even from a plot perpective, the worst she did was tattle on Oskar for being improper.

We also have the opportunity to investigate as Maria, and dictate the way he speaks to others.
We are Maria, Kingslayer and Inquisitor of the realms. We can even save Oskar and put him in debt to the second prince of the realm.

The traveling food guide by the chef is a fantastic idea. He can't afford to ever spill the secrets without ruining his new career and he keeps him as far away from Chloe's charms as possible. Not to mention a potentially valuable asset in the future.

The demonic papers absence is suspicious as shit. Especially considering the demons knew ahead of time about Chloe for their plots. Considering that report to the Church combined with the Headmaster noticing her charming abilities. I wouldn't be surprised if the old man was very concerned. Especially because Chloe hasn't outed herself yet as a Saintess material.

He can't spill the beans period. He can't just admit to helping to poison a noble and expect that he won't have repercussions and those can very well end with the chopping block for a commoner.
>>

In public, maybe, but I dont think Ford is only going to publicly be a shit. He's going to help Chloe investigate (or some other random activity since they are friends) at some inopportune point, be idiotic enough to act rude/accusatory as if we can't simply knock his face inside out. We don't have to take his crap well enough to give it the dignity of a duel.
She'd still curebomb him suddenly and accidentally reveal the saint powers because she's so sad about him getting the emasculating he deserves.
As for why Chloe might think something. I have a few theories but they're tenuous at best. It's probably a combo of things in here.

1. Chloe is a narcissist since she's the protagonist and everything goes her way. Anyone that even accidentally gets in her way must be a bad person. Bit of a stretch since her obligatory tragic backstory would get in the way of that. Being an isekai heroine can do that to her too if this Valor guy is going around dumping Isekai kids everywhere. Establishing our advancements/industries might be a good way to scoop them up since they either have to join our industry or their blatant plagiarism is called out by the populace already knowing we advanced something.

2. Chloe noticed something wrong, abused it for her own means while trying to keep an eye on them, and when it went wrong she figured we were some criminal mastermind planning to do this all along when we really just had the dumb luck of being there. There could even really be a third party in the background doing machinations. We aren't the only people i this academy after all.

3. Ford's been saying lies in her ear about us constantly and she trusts his serpentine tongue rather than figure out that maybe he really is being a dick.

4.We aren't as well hidden in the armour as we think. That waitress clearly recognized something. She won't be blabbing since as a local she should know to stay the hell out of or go along with noble schemes if you want to live. But it is still an indicator. I thought Lucien also recognized us by our stride before, but he might have simply noticed the armour came from school grounds. The same might be true for the waitress.

5. Where are the vials? The cook might have been dumb enough to leave em lying around and Chloe somehow noticed.

What land does Ford rule? Wars have been started for less. (I recall at least one being started because the other official accidentally hit the other with a flyswatter when he missed the fly) If he doubles down enough we might have to take it over and show him how tiny he really is. His own guards barely respects him as a result of. Being repeatedly thrashed for disrespect will only run his reputation with subordinates into the ground and he's the type to not notice until a full on mutiny. Heir and a spare sounds interesting. He might have a sister or brother that we can prop up and use to take away his position as heir.
>>
>>4397259
You severely underestimate Chloe's charming ability and plot armor. The only good solution is keeping them as far away from Chloe as humanly possible.

>>4397262
Its already been proven that Ford's guards do NOT like the prick due to his distinct lack of guts(which is especially problematic combined with his paranoia). Which we found out with the cultist incident. Maria even tried to help him with it. This is particularly damning due to who Ford's father is and a man whom he deeply hates. I don't think it was ever mentioned if he had any siblings.

In truth, Ford's Dad and Maria would get along great according to what we know about him. Plus everybody knows by now in the First Prince's Party that the only reason Maria turned hostile was because of Ford. Something his old man really isn't going to be happy about because it was Ford's fault that Maria ceased her neutrality stance with the Royals.

If we choose to fuck with Ford we do it by approaching his Father and it will also force Chloe to switch targets from our dirty dealings. Its something she won't be able to resist considering how ignorant she is of Ford's true self. If Maria smartly chooses to bypass Ford and directly approach his father he is in very deep shit. Use it as a personal excuse with Ford's bullshit and an official excuse to explain away her change in the stance of neutrality with the royals.

Chloe will be stuck trying to figure out how to save Ford from his own stupidity, family and Maria's wrath.

You know... starting our move on Ford would make for a big plot point.
The Oskar situation falls to the background as that's the bigger issue. However, due to light novel tropes, it means the oskar situation would be alluded to at some point or another that connects the fight to us. If we can only tie the Oskar situation to us in terms of being an investigative rival or the person who turned him in, then that works out. Plus the fact the potions were delayed + she had sex with both nobles hasn't been discovered yet.

We could save oskar by outing the noblewoman as a "whore". Let us not forget she was 'pushed' the second time. It can be seen as a consequence of alcohol + the accidental urging of Maria. Like, the fact Lucien got angry at us for simply being peeved our date was ruined is weird as well.

I do genuinely wonder when we'll be able to utilize our two light novel narrative strengths: Isekai and Tragic Backstory.
We haven't done significant implementations from our past. Isekai development should hand us opportunities to learn about the world with little effort, as well as some opportunities to implement other world strengths. Math is sitll the same, so Logic gates/Computational logic still works in this world, even if electronic computers will not. Metal and springs still work. The development of machining and mechanical logic systems is still doable. It'll take trial and error on the machining front, but many simple things can be handled via water wheels and gear systems.

As for Tragic backstory, it means that even as a villain we get 'second chances' and 'redemption' opportunities once we're reaching later arcs and whatnot. If we go Kira, we should have an opportunity to recover. It also means we can get Ford to apologize, but that's not gonna come into play any time soon. Such opportunities come in trials by fire anyway.
>>
>>4397310
I also just realized the math of high school calculus, linear equations, and differential equations could advance all sorts of things a huge amount. Applied Calculus itself could revolutionize market analysis and mechanical design what with derivations and integrals showing totals and trends. Our nation is in mountainous terrain, starting a "standard unit" of hardness/tensile strength/etc... based off weight and materials in the area could pay dividends in months.

Real problem is long distance communication. Electricity may not exist as it should, but sound still exists. If only we could spend some library time researching the way the world works, or at least how people understand it.
>>
>>4397259
You underestimate Chloe and we still haven't determined if she has mind warping protagonist (dialogue tree?) powers from the waitress yet. He might confess if only to not be tortured.

>>4397277
I think news hasn't completely spread since (as far as we know) Ford has yet to damn himself via actually talking outside the group. Even he must have the sense to realize that his complaints about us killing literal demon worshippers trying to engage in human sacrifice is borderline if not outright fucking heretical.(Super hypocritical that he's cool with em being executed by the state in a burning pyre but not killing them when they're in the midst of atrocities against an innocent.) All that would be known to the father is that he previously insulted the Kingslayer.

If daddy doesn't cut off Ford's influence/money he basically makes us screwing with the economy/politics to disarm Ford fair game. Daddy isn't going to like that at all. Daddy wouldn't like hearing a letter of exactly why this started happening even more.

Ford strikes me as the type of person that drunkenly beats his wife because he's a failure Probably since he's so nasty when taking out his insecurities on us.

>>4397310
We're not yet manipulative enough to out her as a whore yet and I think the better scenario is to make it look like she chose Johnson, but then some mysterious third party (Chloe) influenced her and Oskar together. Those two are really gonna be fighting each other even harder than before.
Basically I think we got an option earlier to weaponize her plot armour so that anything strange is chalked up to it even if it's not actually due to Chloe.
Eg. The old Pratchett idea that a detective is a source of the murder mystery happening rather than a murder mystery coincidentally happening when a great detective stops by on a vacation.

>>4397316
I was kind of expecting that we'd accidentally do that in a class by now but the topics are fairly basic for now. Probably just dumb luck that we can't use it in class yet or we could use that to breeze through homework even quicker. People also used to stay in college for way longer back then too. Otome only ends at 18 because it's convenient in our world. There's probably advanced college up until our 30s+ for nobility having to wait for parents to grow old before it's their turn. At the least we could teach it to Albert? He seems like the type to run with it super hard and start dominating the marketplace.
>>
>>4397341
Our war with Ford literally just be us complaining to his father would be a masterstroke of shits n giggles.

Identifying his father as the weakpoint. Not even really being manipulative, any Noble would double check that us being officially at odds is "okay" in a matter of speaking. Ie: ensure it is known that a copy of the letter is sent to both our parents.

We can even confront Ford before the letters are sent saying something like "I was thinking of what was a fair way to engage you that wasn't underhanded/bad/etc.. so I was considering sending a letter to both our parents to ensure we keep things clean"

The fucking shitstorm from that alone would be hilarious, especially if we ensure Chloe and Lucien are there too. Hell, even give Chloe and Lucien a chance to offer a "solution". We don't even have to accept those solutions, just say the alternatives are not to our liking, and our ideas are likely not to their liking. As such it is probably best for our parents to settle the problem objectively without emotion.
>>
>>4397360
I'm all in weaponizing Ford's father and his son stupidity when it comes to it.
>>
>>4397360
TLDR We gotta be careful in how we approach Ford's dad.

Ford's behavior is so bad that he might try to sweep it (and us) under the rug before he punishes Ford. He got angry at us for killing demon worshippers engaging in ritual human sacrifice of our maid if we (barely) spin it right. If the Church finds out Ford is absolutely being excommunicated. (Who the hell is dumb enough to do that while your entire authority is based on God tolerating your existence?) Daddy Ford is lucky if he doesn't get investigated for raising Ford up in a life of heresy (He surely has real skeletons n the closet that would turn up and get him in even more trouble, so thorough investigations of people who can't be bribed is a super big nono for him) and the entire lineage is just tossed out. Even writing a letter would scare Daddy Ford out of his damn mind because we didn't send it via a secure channel or subordinates would read it along the way to be sure of it's relevance/safety.
I think we need to display a real threat to him that the damage is spilling over and affecting him personally to entice Daddy Ford into finding out what happened while being thankful that we didn't report him for near heresy.

We also got multiple layers of how much Ford should be in trouble too.
There's just everything with the pilgrimage (Even the start. He was doing that annoying "Male Lead doesn't listen to the person he's talking to and forces them to go along with what he wants to do" thing by demanding to come along and escort us after blatant hints he wasn't needed),
1. He enraged us with slander as if he hadn't engaged in near heresy before that should have ended daddy Ford's whole career right there,
2. Then he continued his slanderous words to the new saint candidate (He may or may not know, but he can figure out via hindsight and there's a chance that this is big enough that the prime minister might be naturally informed. Am I remembering his role right?) and first prince when we were graciously trying to avoid them being in the blast zone when we have a title with deadly metaphysical weight like Kingslayer,(endangering the future King himself)
3.Then he throws Bon out for not playing along with bad mouthing his own sister as if Bon doesn't know many of the secrets of the entire clique and Empire from helping with Lucien's paperwork.

Crap. Why didn't I think of this before? Demon papers are on the loose. Chloe the saint candidate says something unnatural is influencing students. Demonic influences temporarily drove them to lust!

I do need to ask one question of you all.:

>What will be the ultimate objective of blackmailing/turning Ford's Father against his own son?
>>
>>4397491
First of all to remove his power to threaten us
>>
Maria simply smiled a good bit to herself, “Well Elric your Father is not wrong. It might be worthwhile for you to get yourself atleast a date to the Ball.”

“Haha… what?” the young man was looking at Maria with confusion in his eyes.

“Well you see, marriages is something that can easily solidify two families with one another. While you would not marry her, just giving her the dance might be enough to tempt the lucky girl’s father into throwing his support under you.” The Kingslayer could not help but gain a devious smile, “It might even be good enough that they throw an army behind you.”

“Something like that would require atleast a betrothal.”

“Then you better choose one you can atleast fuck.” Maria called out with a laugh. While seeing the Prince falter at her words she had to continue, “Is there some families whose support you would want to guarantee? Maybe a couple who are neutral in the matter?”

With her words almost everyone in the room began to think. It was of course Elric who spoke first, “Well I have the words of the Bellyor Family to rely on.”

“Indeed you do, with the Helkans, Ires and Traintees.” Matheo continued.

Maria listened to those words, one of them recognizable. The Bellyor and Ire Families were in fact those of Erica and Elizabeth respectively. Elizabeth is not that bad of a person, and Erica would likely demand her family to support the Prince with all her night just for a single night of romance.

“And the Neutrals?” Maria asked with a waving of the hands.

“The Giovannas are counted under that, I can claim for sure.” Albert said with a sigh before getting a realization, “But I have not heard much of the Northern Folk. What were they called again, Kers?”

“The Morse Kers? Ugh do they even have a daughter in the school?” Elric called out while scratching his head, “They would be nice though, since they’ve been hacking out a territory up north for generations.”

Maria could not help but blink for a few moments at the mention of Kers. Fein Kers is the daughter of a Duke? Quite unbecoming of one Maria was sure of that, but she was pretty, no, too good at stalking both Elric and everyone who shes done since.

Oh the grand irony.

>Suggest Elizabeth, as she is temperate enough to gain Elric’s affection
>Why not Erica, for she will probably keep the man safe better than anyone else
>Fein Kers, for the military
>>
>>4397491
To be honest. I think our character is just that offended by Ford's crap. A secondary objective or timing might work itself in, but we are 100% being a spiteful bitch at him for his unrepentant assholery.
Since we have self control we have a few options,
1. He's going to be a distraction against Chloe. Having to comfort Ford as he has to build himself up will help her in the harem route and be a big waster of her time.

2. Blackmail is overrated when we can collapse the entire first prince faction to pure chaos in one fell swoop while being integral to the new Emperor. I feel like Daddy Ford might respect us for pulling something off like that if he survives the backlash. Blackmail is much lower on the options list. He might actually love Ford despite him being a disappointment as a man. Either go big or drag him to our faction side because he sees how much Ford is dragging the first prince down.

3.We're eventually going to argue with Ford in public. He's absolutely going to have a slip of the tongue during his regularly scheduled public thrashings or right after we point out that he admonishes us for saving lives from demonic cultists. Ford then digs his own grave from there since he's still too hateful of us to think straight.
>>
>>4397510

Let us introduce all three of them to the Prince and see who he chooses for himself. We actually do know them after all. Depending on how serious he wants to be about it. Otherwise, I'll just stick with Fein kers because it amuses me and offers the best military assets.
>>
>>4397510
>Why not Erica, for she will probably keep the man safe better than anyone else
>>
>>4397310
Normally I would agree and that is in fact why I brought up the idea. Send a letter to Ford's father and shit hits the fan for him. Distracting Chloe from investigating deeper as she'll be distracted. As for the narrative strengths, the odd thing is that not once has Chloe attempted to 'redeem' the villainess. there has been no hints of this in fact. If she did Maria and anons wouldn't be nearly as paranoid about her getting us killed.

>>4397341
At best the Ford's father would have heard of the Ford insulting the Kingslayer. The fact that he hasn't sent any letters or done anything likely means he doesn't realize that the small 'children's spat' is actually serious enough to make the Kingslayer break off her neutrality stance with the royals. This alone would make him concerned. Especially once he finds out it is solely due to his own son's stupidity. If we really wanna put on the pressure tell him about what happend with the heretics. Or better yet send letters of explanation to the noble families backing the First Prince of WHY the Kingslayer changed her stance being solely the fault of Ford. That will light a fire up under his ass. As it will no longer be an internal family matter but involve the entire faction at large(see watch it all burn).

>>4397482
The Church is keeping our status as a Saintess Candidate secret in order to prevent pagan and cultist assassins. This is also why Ford's stunt with the cultists has been covered up as it would mean revealing Maria's importance to the Church. The Church is aware of Ford's bullshit though and they really weren't happy about it(see the disgust of the holy knights involved). If someone leaks that they are gonna be PISSED. Especially the church's militant factions. If we leak that in order to drag someone down they are practically guaranteed to get eaten alive by the Church to burn in hellfire.

Leaking that event is quite a double edged sword anon.

>Give Elric a summary of each
Kers: Aspiring writer and quite the romantic. I showed her an unfinished work of mine and she loved it so much she has set out to make her own. (Warn Kers to not let him see her untranslated writing until he likes her back for the love of all that is holy.)
>>4397526
Goddamnit I keep on accidentally losing my writing.
I honestly kind forgot we were a secret. Best to keep it as a super bomb for when we are actually public. We could allude to the fact that Ford is so out of line that the acts he does are being kept secret for the sake of international security?
The secrecy also means that we can keep our cover up under wraps if we blame the demonic papers. I mean, the innocence of the duo relies on Chloe being a saint candidate if we go that route. It being suspected demonic machinations would make the church have to keep quiet about the whole incident until heresy is found.
>>
>>4397491
It actually has multiple uses.

1 eliminates Ford as a threat
2 Distracts Chloe and (boy)friends TM
3 Shakes up the First Prince's Faction
4 Makes it clear that we prefer to be neutral but will take action
5 Throws our weight around

For Ford's poor father it's going to be about damage control and cleaning up his son's messes. He likely doesn't realize how shitty and dangerously stupid/naive his son truly is. By bringing it to Daddy's attention it will be forced to intervene lest the other nobles find out and embarrass him further. While it's unlikely we can make Ford's father an ally we can at least reach an understanding of Ford's is dealt with accordingly.

The end goal I think is obvious. The whole reason why anons became so hostile to Ford was that he sicced Chloe on Maria which crossed her bottom line. By getting rid of Ford will hopefully greatly reduce the amount of conflict between Maria and Chloe. Plus he was the fucker who started it despite how nice anons played with him and tried to even help him. Yet look where that got us. Trying to ruin the reputation of a young unmarried noblewoman who hasn't even gotten engaged! One who is a hero and saintess candidate to the church no less.

The goal is to take Ford off the table. No more of his bullshit. No more of him trying to sic Chloe on Maria. That doesn't mean we have to be enemies with First Prince's Party or with Ford's Family presumably. That therein arises the offer and middle ground.

>>4397360
I want to say that the idea of sending a letter to our family and complaining to Daddy is amazing as well. Totally forgot about that edge. Something totally expected from a young noble girl whose precious reputation is being so sullied. Otherwise, how will she ever get married after being bullied like that with such a tarnished reputation? Yeah, the shits and giggles from the shitstorm are going to be glorious once those letters are sent and something that no noble will blame a young noble girl from doing.

In timing, though its best done when we need to keep Chloe busy. So probably alongside one of the other plots to keep her from fucking it up.
>>
>>4397550
>>4397510
To clarify slightly since I just noticed I was vague; The three of them each have a date with Elric to see which one goes to the ball with him on the fourth night.
(I blame this on losing the old text for my vote that was more specific)
>>
>>4397553
I forgot to mention if we do bring Daddy into this...keep in mind how humiliated it made him feel to lose his daughter to the Miaphate for so long after she saved him and Bon's life without being able to do anything about it. So chances are he will go ballistic out of guilt in order to make up for it. Plus this involves her precious reputation and his family's name. The Dragon isn't about to take it lying down especially when his precious daughter asks for help.

Its something to keep in mind if we take that option.

>>4397550
As a bomb its best used BEFORE we come out as a Saintess. Which is when it be the most effective. Whoever we unleash it on is going to absolutely get fucked by the Church for releasing top-secret intel and endangering the saintess. I am rather leery of using it. Its something that should be used if we say wanna bring the entire First Prince's party to its very knees.

We can allude to that event which will make Ford's Father curious and question his son. If he finds out Maria's status through that though it can have unexpected repercussions. Especially once he confirms it through the Royal Guard. It's a good way to ensure he finds out without Maria's importance to the church getting let out. Which come to think of it is a great idea anon.

The problem is we don't know how he will react exactly. Pissing off the Kingslayer is one thing but ALSO a Saintess Candidate and before the eyes of the Church do something so foolish against their teachings(the stunt with the cultists.) that the only reason it wasn't found out is due to security concerns?

>>4397564
Oh good, I thought you wanted him to threetime them anon. I was like damn but yeah that would help him feel them out better.
>>
>>4397583
It would be super baller if there was ever a dude that openly brought multiple dates at the same time in an otome setting. Really show off those womanizer powers.
>>
>>4397510
Not everything is for us to dictate. This is his future he's choosing. I'd say we're aquainted with Fein Kers, give an honest appraisal of her and her skills, and say we kinda like her capability if not her conduct.

But it's on him to try to get to know them.

>>4397513
>>4397526
There is no need to leak the incident itself to Ford's father in this instance. Simply if Ford's the one to leak it then it's his shoes that'll be stepping in shit. No way Waltz would let him get away with it. If anything before we act, we should probably set up a meeting with Waltz to ensure we're not "overstepping bounds" in our "attack" in our "war" with Ford.
Simply saying accusing us of being a wrathful banshee killer for going through what we did in the past is slander of the highest order to us and we want satisfaction for such lies. Especially as painting us as evil is inaccurate. Have a copy for both our parents and give Ford time to also write both parents his version of events, with a reminder that leaking the specific episode is a breach of the church. As a friendly warning, not a threat.

>>4397583
I mean, bringing both parents into it is the most civilized point in the whole thing. Especially if we allow Ford to write his own letter too and we can have the letters mailed together at the post office simultaneously so he knows it's on equal footing. You know. Before we have it come to our room so we can read it first before passing it along to its intended audiences. We can temper emotional action by either party by imploring for both of them to come to an idea for how such slander should be handled. Be as "fair" to Ford as we possibly can to show him we are doing our best not to be mean to him while defending our-self. Even explaining the gap in action as us 'thinking' it over how to be fair. Have chloe watch us both write our own responses simultaneously so as to know neither of us is affecting the other's writing. Plus keeps her from interfering with how he writes his letter. Also is a total Shojo drama moment, so plot armor will also keep her from affecting the 'first combat of the war: writing the rules of engagement' if she's the fair observer.

>>4397593
As this is an otome shojo game, it's entirely possible he could get all three to agree going to the ball under the pretext of being interested in all three and wanting to give them each a fair chance. Especially if he really is giving them all a fair chance. Plus the fact he has the money to provide them each as a noble gentleman ought to.
>>
>>4397593
We're only missing a main capture target who is a womanizer. If someone was here we could have used him but sadly it isn't.
>>
>>4397612
Aside, as far as anyone's concerned in regards to slander: Maria is a woman who killed two kings in protection of her family and herself. She freed herself by her own effort to be with her family once again. She acts in the interest of her family, her people, and her friends.
And you have this random noble thinking it's alright to say she's a brute killer who cares for nobody but her own reputation. Maria cares for her reputation not out of vanity but because the loss of it would harm her people. She is a representative of her people and they matter to her.
She even made it a point to Lucien he needs to start getting to know his subjects, but he's only paid attention to Chloe so far. We know more about the average person. Be it restaurant owners, farmers or merchants to bandits, whores, or 'scum' we treat them as other humans. And perhaps we killed people who were planning to hurt our maid, but they would hurt others too if they were not stopped.

It's an insult that simply because we aren't nice, that we are not trying to be good to others. Hell I want to go up to Chloe and ask her why she wants to help Oskar. If her reasoning is sound, hell I say we help get Oskar out of his situation by the grace of the second prince. If it's something like 'its the right thing to do', we will fucking drop the hammer on what's 'right'. People are starving, bandits are killing travelers, etc.. If it's 'He's her childhood friend', what's wrong with the other man going after her heart? What makes her innocent?! are you looking out for her too? They fucked up. Perhaps it was alcohol. Perhaps they thought they could get away with it, and maybe they would have if they kept quiet. Even we overheard Oskar in the courtyard (that was the public instance right?) essentially saying 'screw the church'. That by itself would've been enough, but words are just words. Reputations matter, because the reputation of nobles can reflect upon the destinies of the people below them. Perhaps such a life is unfair, but we don't live in a world where technologies exist to make food easy enough to farm that most people can get educated enough to make hard decisions.

Long point short, they suck for besmirching our ideals. We don't even have to get into why specifically, but they impose righteousness on our asses. Maria Louisa Regnia Princess of the MaKain Duchy is now Maria the Kingslayer. She will become Maria slayer of Kings, inquisitor princess of the imperial Church, Princess of the MaKain Duchy. And if we play it right Saintess Princess Maria Louisa Regina the Merciful of the imperial church, slayer of kings, Inquistor Prime of the Imperial Church, Princess of the MaKain Duchy.

Random idea that popped into my head. Elric's wet nurse or nursemaid was possibly blackmailed or coerced into trying to kill him as an infant. Ford has probably been blaming a victim forced to choose between the life of another and the life of her child. Knowing Ford he'll probably use that as an excuse to double down on stupid instead of considering that her employers finished her off before she could rat them out.
We'll probably never get to follow up on that barring a cameo from the maid's son/daughter so I guess it has no real relevance to everything.
>>4397747
Nah bruh. We were just gonna do some minor stuff and let him self destruct on his own since we don't have time to deal with him over more important things. Then he decided to go after onii-sama and sealed his fate.
>>4397861
I can sorta see it more than before since they're both cinnamon rolls on the inside, but it's a really bad idea when it turns out she could have had a date with her crush and we ruined it. They both gotta get out of their awkward phases first. (Him:NEET depression Her: STALKER)
>>4397856
That's one of the many reasons I voted for all three. At least one would feel betrayed that we picked one over the other and it's not like his future wife will absolutely be set in stone by the dance. Picking one paradoxically promotes infighting while a healthy properly arbitrated (Chloe saying forces are at work gives us a real excuse to watch over the dates) competition has less a risk because we can stress that our friendship with each other is more important than who wins and they can't openly backstab each other out of jealousy.
>>4397749
I do. I also just like to explain my line of thought so that the QM and others can understand it or even point out how my idea was wrong/bad. I look at this as a collaboration rather than the warring vote factions some quests have.
Having participants excitedly talk too much about the story itself is not the worst thing to happen to a quest.
>>
>>4397510
>Why not Erica, for she will probably keep the man safe better than anyone else
Safety is the goal here not love.
>>
>>4397956
We're in an otome. Love is absolutely the most important thing other than friendship. If we stick him with a person he can't grow to like/love, then Chloe is eventually going to swoop in and seduce him towards her reverse harem. Elric's feelings are important here and we can't just ignore them.
I also wanna back off from being too controlling. If we're behind every decision the second prince does he'll end up feeling like he's also a puppet emperor too.
>>
>>4397510
>Suggest Elizabeth, as she is temperate enough to gain Elric’s affection
>>
>>4397956
Love is important in otome. If our mechanations are too selfish, we will pay for it as the otome villain. We must be a champion of good to an extent. Letting him go on dates and choose will give us further opportunities later on.

I do to. I mean come on, she was simply a girl who forgot to translate all her poems into the proper language of the Austin Empire.

People are voting on intrigue lines not thinking about the otome plot we are fighting. I'd say erica instead of dates if otome plot armor was not in play.

Maria pondered on what was given to her, all the information quite nicely lighting up the situation. It was pretty funny that Maria knew them all, which gave a good amount of light on the situation they found themselves in. While Fein Kers would be the best, Maria did not want to submit Elric to that again.

Or maybe she wanted that army for herself.

Either way, Maria easily looked forward towards the other two she recognized. Both were actually part of her little friend group and honestly neither were not too bad. Which lead to who she would suggest.

“Well, I am actually friends with a couple of their Daughters is seems.” Maria nodded to herself at confirming the task, “I would suggest you meet with Erica Bellyor. She’s pretty decent and nicely vigilant when it comes to word of mouth.”

“You say that,” Elric began with a raised brow, “But is she good looking and a kinda good person?”

“She is quite well in the Looks department, though I will admit she cannot face those as gorgeous as myself or Chloe.” Maria flushed her hair with a hint of pride in her words, “For her personality, well she is modest and tries her best to bring new things in the conversation. Though she is very much a girl of the crowd if I do say so.”

Elric seemed to chew on those words a little bit, “I mean, I will need to meet her first. Sorry Maria but I cannot cannot rely on your words alone.”

“Oh that I understand. I am doubly sure that Erica would drop everything she is doing to meet with you atleast once.”

“I guess that is true.” He gave a small light hearted laugh before standing up straight, “Well I can’t really be sitting here like this. Let's get moving and see this Erica Girl!”

Maria mused there for a bit with a shaking of the head. Why was he getting a fire in his belly when it he finally has a chance to go hunting for a wife. Well, Maria knew but simply was too disappointed to think otherwise.

This would be a villainess intermission in an anime to humanize or demonize based on actions taken. As long as we don't do anything circumspect, we'll come out ahead.

Would kill for a ford non interactive intermission just to see his anger, let alone see team chloe in a non combative context for a little. Same way this double date should be a non combative humanizing intermission for the opposing side

I expect wacky machinations going on behind the scenes that we have to constantly foil.
>Albert has a contract to draw up and get signed with a local cook before he arrives. He proposed going to critique restaurants and inns in exotic locales, turning that into a guide for people who wish to travel for relaxation courting or business, and Albert was even able to find some long term sponsors for the project.*Hint HINT* Some of the metrics are Food quality, clientele, general atmosphere, romantic atmosphere, taste, privacy, pricing, and customer service.
Are there customs/border stops?I want the cook to arrive safely instead of being stopped by the city guards when he tries leaving out the gate.
>Warn Elric to be sincere/earnest. He may have to spend the rest of his life with whatever women he dates in the near future. Putting on a fake persona means you either have to maintain it with her and be miserable or leave her miserable when you aren't the man she married. These are our friends. We won't approve of you toying with their hearts without sincerity.

“It is a pleasure to meet you, Bellyor.” The Prince said while taking a kneel towards the woman, “I hope that we can have a good day along with everyone else.”

“Y-yes we will!” Erica said close to practically screaming at that.

It was the next day when everyone got together once again. In their time away Maria had explained the happenings to Erica, how the Prince was interested in meeting with her. Such a girl barely held in her excitement at the prospect of meeting the prince in person, let alone being told he was wanting to meet her for a day.

Speaking of which.

“Fufufu, look at them being cute.” Maria said with a little laugh, “You never did that for me when we first met.”

“I had a ton of papers in my hands. I ask that you can forgive me for at least that.” Albert said while rubbing the back of his head.

“Oh, I might as well.” Maria mused with a devilish smile about herself.

It was about five o’clock in the day, only a couple hours after class had finished. With the sun standing high in the sky it was a pretty nice day Maria would admit. Though of course without a cloud in the sky, things might get a little annoying if they stay out for too long.

“So, your Majesty, if I dare ask what is it you planned for today?”

“Oh, something quite special I assure you.” He said before taking her by the hand, “Stay close so I do not lose you in the crowds.”

“Guh…” With those words alone Erica seemed to have blown a gasket, though Maria admitted they were not the best. Such was the man’s style, simply using his good looks to override a person’s sense of what is actually good.

Soon enough they made their way out of the city, everyone getting a few supplies from the local Market to enjoy the nice serene picnic. Maria herself got some dried meats while the others grabbed things like bread, apples, and wine. The Wine of course was snatched by Erica, making sure it was the finest quality before purchasing it.

Soon enough they were out on a small hill of grass right before the fields of wheat. A rather large sheet was spread across the green grass. Soon everyone sat, Maria looking over the acres of food that were meant to care for an entire empire.

Indeed, such a land was something Maria sometimes wished were in MaKain. Though with cold lands came greater wildlife and stronger men, all of which grew into a mighty realm she could call her own.

“Thank you once again for having me your Majesty!” Erica exclaimed with the same fervor of a fangirl meeting her crush.

“Why not call me Elric, is that not what those friendly to eachother should do?”

“B-but you are a royal, much higher little ol’ me!”

“Come on, atleast try it.”

“A-alright… Prince Elric.”

“... Well that is the best you can get I am fine with it.” Said Prince answered with a fading smile.

“So, uh, Prince Elric, uh, what was it like living in the Imperial Palace?”

“Well…”

Maria tuned them out for the moment as she poured herself a small glass. Taking a slight sip, it kinda reminded her of times long back. The cellar of dry but almost invaluable wine coming to her mind. Such a silly time, being a child two years ago stealing from one of the greatest empires for a simple barbarian.

“Has something come upon your mind?” Albert asked with a raised brow.

“Something quite silly from my past, if I must be honest.”

“It must not be that silly if you are laughing as so.” Albert said with a wit only found in observant Merchants.

“Alright, listen and hear the happenings of when I was a prisoner of war.” Maria soon began her tale.

She talked about how it was when she was taken prisoner and how dreadfully laxed the guards were that she became friends with. How the boss of them all reached out and recommended that for their support, she would need to give them the bottle of the best wine from the Miaph’s cellars.

Indeed such a tale was grand with intrigue and freight, and Maria was without a doubt enjoying it. For Albert, well his interest was surely peaked about tales from such a distant land.

In these moments however Maria neglected her friend Erica. While she was tempted to give the girl a suggestion, just a push to make sure she did not fail by being too formal, another thought came into her mind.

Simply put, she would not be with the pair forever. So if Erica was failing to recognize the Prince's desire now, she would be a horrible wife whose ire was clouded by honor. And when it fell, would she really like the man who was underneath enough to support him with all her might?

“Those Morse are, quite the dunkers it seems.” Albert had to confirm with a shaking of his head.

“Indeed they are. People drunk on both wine and war, they are still quite handy. They were the ones who smuggled me out of the grand city in the first place, so I have no arguments against them.”

With that done Maria turned her ears towards the others, first to be heard of course was Erica, “Come now, Prince Elric, what kind of powers have you enjoyed as the Prince of such an illustrious empire.”

“I do not have that much power, as my brother will assume most of it.” Albert said with a sigh before getting up, “Well, it was a pleasure to meet you Erica. I think its time I send you off.”

“Oh, thank you for your time your Majesty! I will treasure these memories.”

Well, it was pretty obvious to Maria that Erica failed. However the state of things seemed that Elric did not mind her, simply an annoyed expression came through Erica turned her back to him.

I'm thinking that it was a mistake in comprehension on my part since I took the immediate payment we gave as just the rest of the bribery for the original job instead of extra right there, and i've been accidentally paranoid as a result. That makes it better. We only have to track down the waitress and get her side of the story to see what we can spin things as now.
This also lets me focus my attention on making the second prince Chloe proof. Being immune to his playboy ways is probably how Chloe will seduce him away from the candidate he picks.

I'm starting to think Kers might win the contest simply because we get tired of our main friends screwing up their shot.

I'm not going with us making this conclusion in character, but the second prince is also sabotaging himself via the playboy persona. He doesn't want a girl who falls for his playboy charms while also turning up his playboy charms to 11 to melt their brains and not let him see anything to them past their infatuation with him. It gives him an extremely shallow and incorrect view of them as people.
If it eventually gets to Kers's turn. I want to force him out of his seduction mode by making him read, critique and edit her otome work with her if it's any good.
I'm thinking sometime after date #2 is when we realize and just outright tell Elrik that he sabotages himself with women.

Should we try to edge Waltz over into a second prince faction? He is friends with Lucien, but he clearly prioritizes himself over everything else and wouldn't hesitate to jump ship if he sees warning signs that shit's about to go down like Ford's upcoming punishment. The problem is whether or not he tries swapping to Elrik or subverting Ford's position of power over Lucien.
>>
>>4400638
we really dont know how loyal waltz is. he has been very reserved anytime we were in his prescence, which made him hard to read. he might be weighing his options, or he might be luciens closest friend. we really want to find out more about how waltz thinks before we try to turn him, and with the line in the sand clearly drawn, it will be ridiculously hard to do so directly without making an ass of our self. its also troublesome that he is the intrigue guy in their camp, so trying to spy on him could see us getting stonewalled anyway.
I certainly would like to bring him to our side, but the means of achieving that is unclear at this point, so we gotta approach slowly
>>
With the group returning to the Academy, Maria soon made her way through the halls to the library. Such a place when it was this close to night was close to empty, so much so that Maria wondered why it even stayed open. However such things were of course trivial, as soon enough she came across what she was looking for.

Sitting at a table with two piles of papers laid about her, was Fein Kers. Her black hair for the most part covering her work from others to see. The reason for such long hair was likely the simple fact she never bothered to cut or procure it. It was simply luck that it was not torn asunder by simply existing and that it was not worse than it already was.

Of course with such cover made it impossible for her to realize when Maria arrived. With a swiftness Maria picked up one of the stacks.

In the lands of a long gone empire, several others who all claimed its history. Each with their own existence, one in particular stood out among them all.

This was the Holy Roman Empire.

“So, I see you have begun translations.”

“Huh!” the girl quickly looked up form her work to see Maria shinning a smug smile down upon her, “Oh Maria! Yes I am focusing on that here today, though I won’t finish until the coming winter.”

“Is that so? What is it about?”

“Oh its about a girl who must choose between marrying the King in Prussia or her Cousin in Spain!”

“... Did it haft to be about her Cousin?”

“Isn’t that the norm though?” Fein Kers asked with what looked to be a genuine raising of the brow.

“I wish it was not. Please tell me you have her marry the King in Prussia at the very least.”

“Well, that is something I am yet to figure out. I was-”

“Have her marry the Prince in Prussia and make her have a brother-sister relationship with the Cousin.” Maria dictated with a firm authority, “Does that save your mind from such triflings of shipping?”

“Whats shipping?”

“You will find out soon.” Maria lamented with a shaking of her head.

“Well, alright then! Thanks!” Kers happily responded while quickly getting out a pen and paper to seemingly write whatever Maria suggested. Of course it was in the odd script she used, which Maria figured was her realm’s version of Morse.

Why do I get the feeling that she cleans up ULTRA WELL?
I'm also laying the groundwork for Kers to not make the prince shriek in terror at her being his old stalker.

I really wanna try and get a ninja birdwatcher to see wtf that bird of her must be up to whenever it goes off on its own all the time, but I don't think we have the time between editing and finding out about Chloe.

>>4400649
It's (mostly) not about loyalty to Lucien. It's about loyalty to Chloe. The report should hopefully clear up matters on if he's been assimilated into the harem collective.
As for how I was personally considering as a method to turn him? We just ask his cousin on if he looks like he's trying to flee a sinking ship with the problems Ford is causing. The answer doesn't matter very much outside of being a little better at getting a read on him. It's just to get the idea in him that Ford's about to get curb stomped and run the other side to the ground like he's actually been doing right in front of Waltz this whole time. Then we destroy Ford and IF we're lucky, then Waltz has planned to swap sides.

Sharing Kers's spy report on Chloe with the room should hopefully bash it into everyone's skulls that her accidentally seducing them is a real threat to avoid.

“With that over with, were you able to find anything interesting between Chloe and her potential Lovers?” Maria asked with a smile about herself.

“Oh, plenty of things!” Fein cheered while getting out a rather thick book and setting it on the table before her, “Hmm, do you want to know about how close to kissing Chloe and Prince Lucien had gotten or maybe her attempts to save a wayward couple from being expelled?”

“The second one, for sure.” Maria admitted with a firm determination in her voice.

“Oh it has begun to become such a tragic tale, if I say so myself. It all started when the Heroine realized that a friend she had made was falling in love with the girl of his dreams.” Kers regaled with a waving of her hand, “She saw the two of them together once and thought they would be perfect together, so she suggested to her friend that they should head out on a date!”

“Is that so? And why was Chloe with them?”

“To support them and make sure their date went along swimmingly.” Maria’s spy championed with a spark in her eyes, “Ah, but their friend Ford realize the opportunity, a chance to grant his liege a chance at true happiness. So he suggested to Chloe that she should take the Prince along to make sure things would not be awkward.”

“That…” Maria was not surprised, of course, but she who knows what Ford was thinking at the moment.

“Fufu, I know such a selfless man, for I am sure he likes the girl too.”

“Yes, indeed he would.”

“Is something the Matter Maria?”

“Continue.”

“Understood,” The excited girl gave a yawn before beginning once again, “The date was amazing for all parties. The Prince and Baroness coming this close to kissing as the shinning half moon came above their heads, however they had lost those meant to protect. One can easily say Miss Chloe did a little too good a job in making the mood just right.”

‘So its that Chloe did too good a job,’ Maria laughed internally.

“So with the risk of Chloe’s friend and lover being expelled, she must do her best to find out who did it. Both of the Prince’s cohorts agree that it was someone else’s doing, as Chloe could not possibly have caused something like this.”

Fein Kers gave a finally extravagant show of her hands, “With a week to prove a pair of lover’s innocence in the matter, they have come up with a plan in order to learn who is truly behind it!”

“Whats the plan?!” Maria demanded with her attention now fully on the girl.

“I… do not know.” Fein soon deflated before giving another yawn due to the late night.

>Anything else happen within the last day or so?
(We still don't know wtf happened with the brothel incident, the gossip girls are gonna be too preoccupied with the date to fill us in, and we can't go to the mailmen without revealing we employ them right now with everyone homing in on us. Especially that damn bird.)
>Thank her for the information and ask if we can help her with editing her book in the future from time to time. We're obviously still busy so we can't show up as often as we'd like. I'll try my best do give you a good tale.
Can we give Melody permission to stop by from time to time? I remember them getting along, but maidly duties and whatnot probably get in the way of spending time.

I'm sure that angsty teenage poetry has existed for millenia. Shitposting certainly has.
Dante's inferno is actual bad self insert fanfiction about how Dante is so awesome and the people he hates are stupid.

Interesting factoid about literacy:
Western literacy rates first step to skyrocketing to where they are today was entirely porn related. People were eventually so annoyed/curious by not knowing what anyone was saying in the porn that it single handedly motivated millions of people to learn how to read.
I forget the exact name of the publication in question that everyone was trying to read.
>>4401051
It's quite amazing really. They didn't even allow for something like Chloe accidentally did something or the couple decided to be dumb teenagers since none of them noticed the druggings. Nope. They MUST find somebody to blame.
>>4401065
That's my plan. (Sorta.) Looks like pinning the blame on Chloe won't work (although we can suggest it to the priest), but reasonable suspicion of demonic mischief can grant him a stay of execution while we just don't give a damn and invade anyway with some other casus belli. I'm thinking the teutonic knights are fed up with Oskar not being able to deal with barbarians and we make an alliance with Elrik to send out a "peacekeeping" mission to bring stability to the people while he doesn't have any divine right to rule. The church can't very well try to grant the blessing to him if he was too weak in faith to resist demonry barely a week prior.
>>
>>4401072
Best part is ford is paranoid enough to think we're taking advantage of the situation, but not paranoid enough to think we were the orchestrator all along.

Screw being chloe's villain, we're Ford's rival. We'll be the Dr Zoom to his incompetant Flash. IT WAS ME FORD. IT WAS ME ALL ALONG
>>
>>4401081
So does this mean we approach waltz over talking with Fords dad as a non overly aggressive move within the next 2 days? We are 4 days to the ball.

Make it clear we have to stand for our name in some way. Either we ask for our parents involvement to prevent bad actions or he issues a public apology in person?
>>
>>4401081
YOU KNEW IT WAS ME ALL ALONG AND YET YOU STILL KNEW NOTHING
>>4401086
Latest info seems to indicate a high possibility of Waltz falling victim to Chloe's harem powers. I'm going to file him under lost cause and suggest to the prince that it be assumed he's secretly trying to spy for the first prince faction if he ever does jump ship. But we can still appreciate the work he does for our side while trying to spy on us to make him question the blind hatred he has or even slowly gain some loyalties to us. The old "the people you're spying upon appreciate you more than the person you really work for" trick.
>>
Shit. Just realized that Chloe's otome heroine powers might kick in to save Oskar if Chloe can't find a solution (early public sainthod means it's not politically viable to expel a friend of hers whom would obviously be converted to proper piousness on the spot.)
I wanted to at least make it to next arc before dropping the Daddy F-bomb, but using it before Chloe can announce investigation results is the safest way to avoid elixir syndrome making us keep it until it's useless
>>
>>4401021
>Prepare for setting up a date with Elric and Elizabeth tomorrow
>>
>>4401116
Which is why we need to play a call out that's verified with the second prince faction to save Oskar and make him thankful to the prince while distancing our role at all.

Could do it by sacrificing the girl and give chloe credit for getting us to investigate. The whole celebration and back pat experience included to fool the story arc. At the very least the story might accept it so the reveal of the truth can surface in the far future when this drama is practically forgotten.

Worst is when it's revealed it only happened to give us defenses if ford went crazy on us, making it all his fault in the end.
>>
>>4401158
I think we gotta save the girl too. Get that happy ending for boring old Johnson along with some of his dignity if it turns out some ulterior force that we can't name (GODDAMN CHLOE'S ReALITy WARPING OTOME POWERS) forced the one he loves to immediately cheat on him. Her banging em both probably has him depressed but learning that something influenced her afterwards on behalf of Oskar will make him more than willing to cooperate with the war effort. They don't seem to have any birth control here which makes me bet it's really gonna get awkward if she turns out pregnant.
>>
>>4401164
Someone needs sacrificing and I refuse to sacrifice our loyal servants.

Short of baiting a demon, which may be heretical, there's no available targets atm. We could pray for a sign as i'm sure the division in plot armor is a division among our god
>>
>>4401021
>>Prepare for setting up a date with Elric and Elizabeth tomorrow
>>
>>4401186
I think we're just using different standards here. I'm cool with just the suspicion because it means it can't be proven or disproven until the demon papers resurface and it turning out that Chloe is warping reality means greed at trying to manipulate her is going to easily toss us aside since it's known Chloe hates us.

Chloe has to prove beyond reasonable doubt because the church wants him to be replaced. Us "saving" Oskar by delaying the expulsion while also outright taking his kingdom should be palatable to them:
1.They get to order the kids to be more educated on being pious to help them resist the devil's machinations since that's a thing.
2.They get a pagan empire collapsed.
3.They save face because them letting the couple off has an excuse that doesn't make them look weak or bribed.

If we're lucky , then the narrative things Oskar becomes a prince/king without a kingdom trying to revive it while he's in the academy will be great. Then it dumps him onto Lucien's side to replace Bon's old part.
Depending on how zealous our allies are, the mere scandal itself is enough to get the ball rolling on the goals we had, so we don't have to actually sacrifice anyone. It takes a while for news to travel in this era. The knights invade, everyone else responds, and then after the fighting has already started and it's clear he barbarian heretics were already causing civil unrest by the time his name was cleared. The Church wanted his ass out the way anyway so they'll be cool with it when they find out a pagan empire is no more. Oskar has no defense since he's an unblessed king and news that Oskar was exonerated can be delayed by at least a day or two.
>>
It impresses me how much you guys manage to discuss about each update
>>
>>4401204
It's because due to the nature of the situation, all actions are on three "causalities"
Noble intrigue
Otome school gossip handling/ popularity
Otome game meta narrative

All actions must take into account all three while not being blatant. Misstep on one will collapse our kingdom and doom its people. Second may get us personally exiled or killed. Third will bend reality against us on the first two by virtue of our role for this world. This isn't a mystery vm, so blatant cheating will be provided to the protagonist unless her own actions set a failure flag due to her being selfish or unkind.
We can interrupt the meta by providing interesting narrative that doesn't give away plot. Sometimes the "camera" is on us and can give us some narrative powers. Mostly it's on her. That's what makes the planning complicated.
>>
>>4401210
That reminds me, the armour is still in our room? We need to put it in an unnamed storage locker outside of our room and get it inspected for any evidence that we wore it.

I'm certain the fools will break into our room at some point to try and search for evidence while ignoring that breaking into our room provides evidence that evidence can be planted in our room by them.
Whatever countermeasures we come up with might be interesting. Even something as simple as hiring a single maid to only stand watch and hit an alarm we make can do it.
We awaken to find an intruder in our home-->Grab the nearest weapon--> attack -->The Chloe faction has to explain why they tried to sneak into a girl's bedroom in the middle of the night since Chloe wouldn't do actual breaking and entering->priorities shift from whatever the current plot is.

>However, I ask that you guys use 'Other' to give me a nicer situation next time.
What do you mean ?
>>
>>4401642
When you guys wanna grip the narrative say something like:

>Try and scheme a way for Maria to rescue Oskar from his demise to upset the balance of Plot Power.
>>
“Are you sure this girl will be better?”

“Elizabeth is a little more down to earth than Erica, that much I can say for certain. However, best not to approach her with your standard lady killer personality less you cause her to fall unconscious. Maybe ask her a few questions about-”

“Alright alright.”

“Good, atleast your learning to get more than one night stands.”

It was the next day, placing this on a Friday, two days from the ball which was on Sunday. The reason for such an event being on the Holy day is of course because the Ball is a Church Function, meant to bring all the Nobility together.

IT surely is, if not for some wrong and right things happening during it.

Maria soon led the Young man to a place within the Academy’s garden, a small table with chairs sitting quietly in the corner. Sitting upon them was a modestly dressed and obviously stressed Elizabeth.

“Hey Elizabeth, it seems you arrived early.” Maria started with a smile.

“Y-yes I did. I do not want to keep, uh, your Majesty waiting on me after all.” She said while turning towards the Prince himself.

“I thank you for it then.” The Prince. Maria noted he was about to go for her hand but seemed to stop about midway, “As you surely know I am Prince Elric, though you may call me Elric for now.”

“Oh, uh, my name is Elizabeth Ire.” She gave a shaky bow, “Uh, are you sure about me calling you just Elric? Your family’s blood more than grants you the right of being a royal.”

“No, it is fine. I will not become a ruler unless I can defeat my brother within the Electoral System.”

“Why, that is quite dreadful!”

“It is, but that is the future of a Second Prince like myself.”

“Well, alright Elric, I along with my family of course hope to address you as king one day.”

“Indeed, I sure hope so.”

With that the three present took their seats at the table. Of course Elizabeth would bring a modest Meloncholy to the mix, but honestly Maria does not know what Elric would make of it. Still, the start seems fine so Maria should let things run.

However, her mind went back to everything Fein Kers told her yesterday. It seems as if the plot was getting thick, and she did not know what kind of plan they were making. In her honest opinion, if there were any suspicious targets in the school Maria never met them sans Waltz. So that only meant their suspicion was going to be placed on her.

Which of course leads to the question, what should she do?
>Try and grip the narrative by saving Oskar, thus doing all this for nothing
>Learn and disrupt this plan of theirs, so that Maria is not accused
>Let things continue as they are, as Maria must distance herself to make it less obvious.
>Other schemes
>>
>>4401643
I personally think we need a day or so more before the danger clicks for us to try and rescue Oskar to get Chloe off our backs. For now I'm personally just trying to setup things so that we can have the misc ideas at a later time while being in character.
Eg. A few seconds ago I realized that we can just ask Kers about if her family is interested in helping to annex Holand, but as it is we might look like we're just using her vs the fact that we really do enjoy her strange yet exuberant company. It would break her heart to think she's only being used by the prince instead of a lovey dovey marriage, so we would have to find a way to do such a proposal while also juggling everything else we do with Kers.
>>
>>4401651
>Learn and disrupt this plan of theirs, so that Maria is not accused
We gotta know what the plan is first of all
>>
>>4401651
>Other schemes
>Make sure to cover our tracks before engaging any further in this conflict.
>>
>>4401651
Are you implying they were ever going to suspect anyone other than us? They've been slandering us as a group for a while and keep on suspecting without evidence. IDK if it's narrative of them being jerks, but it's really annoying. If they actually had a real reason besides "we dislike you, therefore you are guilty" it would honestly be so less aggravating to us as a whole.

>Disrupt the plan so that we are not reliably accused on several fronts we will work on for the next few days:
1. By making it seem that lovey dovey atmosphere is either one of Chloe's saintly talents that she has yet to notice. Evidence from the waitress mentioning suspicious prompting on the night of the date by Chloe and our own anonymous source (Kers) saying that Chloe was trying to encourage them means it looks like Chloe either is trying to protect the couple out of guilt or trying to pin the blame on someone rather than consider/realize they did it themselves. We can present this on Sunday or Monday.

2.It's time to write big Daddy Ford a letter. Some real irony would be them having almost the same personality with merely a different morality system.

3.Proposal to Kers if Elizabeth doesn't work out. She is on the list of most promising wives for a political marriage but it must be confirmed if love can bloom first. We offer to get her a full salon makeover to knock him delirious and try to adopt a different tact to the marriage meetings by having them discuss literature. (That's what he likes to do in his free time, right?)
Tell Elric to stop sabotaging himself because if he never shows them anything but a playboy prince, then how can he expect women to react in any way other than to a playboy prince? Playing with the hearts of our friends is not cool. Sit down and ruly learn about the person you're spending time with if you are truly serious. Otherwise do not waste time we could be using to think of other things.

I think it's his coping mechanism and his storyline probably confirms that since that's the cliche thing to do with the playboy hiding his real feelings behind his persona. Might be good to try and reflect on it for a moment in story.

4.Anonymously mail our postmaster that if bawdy tales and stories about the first prince being pounced upon by an entire brothel with his lover spread quickly and across the realm enough there will be a company wide bonus set aside for the next quarter. Warn them not to stay in the same town overnight if they can lest somebody tries to silence them.

5.If the troops get lined up, suggest to the headmaster that the pair get to prove penance in near solitude or a convent without news from the outside as they fully devote themselves to prayer. This might get Chloe to back off while the entire country crumbles. Does it matter to the church if an unblest king with such recent behavior loses his kingdom to righteous servants of God? (Be in secure room please)

>>Learn and disrupt this plan of theirs, so that Maria is not accused

Be wary not to over complicate. But generally not bad. Not the current selection dough.
>other
>>
>>4401735
>>4401651
>Tell Melody to be wary of possible break ins or intruders. Word has it that Ford and his puppets are looking for somebody to blame and with the way they slander us for rescuing you, we are the most likely one they would frame while being unjustly righteous about it. Inform her about Chloe's bird being a spy she can communicate with.
I'm thinking that the group will pick the night of the ball to break in for evidence if they try something. Makes the most narrative sense in a mission impossible way.
> A quick anonymous mail (write with non dominant hand to disguise handwriting) to our postmaster about spreading rumours. Hazard pay will be given out at a safer time
>Send a letter to Ford's father telling him to look into his son's recent behavior. He lost the right to us giving him a warning when he mistreated Bon.
>Track down the waitress and officially hear her side of the story

I think these are reasonable things to get done within a day without being taxing (only the waitress thing really takes up any time) and we can get a more complete idea of what she's trying by waiting a bit before we snoop into that. Trying to cover it up via disrupting the plan in front of Chloe just invites Chloe magically discovering it's us and dumps us even more onto their radar.

>>4401748
True. I'll adjust my vote to start focusing on today's itinerary and the rest can just be suggestions to consider later rather than us setting up a plan for days in advance.

Alright, gotta be honest. Please shorten everything to about a paragraph. If your posts have more text in them than some of my updates than something is not right and it might push out other people.

Besides that I am happy you are entertained, along with everyone else. The simple fact there are theories and shit makes me realize I am taking this story to the right direction.
>>
>>4402255
Not that it matters since we're disrupting, but I'm just gonna clarify that I was adjusting my answers to my second post (as it was clearly too long) and couldn't really delete the old post since it had some stuff I and other anons could consider for future machinations.
I was also kinda unsure where to categorize my stuff since it's similar to the options presented but just different enough to not fall inside a single category.
>>4401834
That was a trap option.
Anything that makes us act like a "real" villainess is a trap option that sics Chloe on us more than usual.

Anything that counters Chloe's plans could also do it to a lesser extent, but not actually having "done" anything so long as we have a backer with an alibi can at least be a layer of protection while we weaken her ability to get us killed off for no reason or being framed.

I think we're currently at some weird point between a Draco Malfoy and Snape (it's revealed Harry's dad was a bully and Snape's protectiveness of slytherin students is him projecting hard from his own experiences about leniency against bullying) as an antagonist goes. (From a reading Chloe's perspective in a book POV.) We're treated as an antagonist that they viscerally hate despite technically not having done something worth real hatred and there being a far more dangerous, threatening, malevolent ,scary, and real villain out there. (Aka where are those demons? You have Voldemort after your ass and you're giving a damn about a kid that's just a little snobby or a dude that can't get past your dad being a prick in high school? Get some priorities.)

>>4402259
No problem.
I can see how it can get annoying and I clearly didn't format them to be easily digestible if I'm STILL causing trouble here.
The vote itself was usually supposed to be
greentext.

The regular text explanations are the voting logic or examples to clarify if you need anything

The spoilers are annotations or observations I probably don't need to be making.
Shutting up and looking forward to the next post that I will most definitely keep shorter instead of talking too much.

Most of it is theory n planning.

There was always the option that Maria would simply go back on her deeds, using the attempt to scrub backwards and grip the narrative for herself. Though such an act would just remove all the hard work that she committed to earlier.

Yes, she would need to spy on them and learn their objective.

“So… were the waters of Calorealia pleasant to you?”

“Indeed they were, and it is much more pleasant this time of year then here.”

“So you will be going down there for the Winter?”

“Probably not, I need to prepare for an event occurring in the Summer.”

“Something taking that long? Sounds like it will be a dreadful affair.”

“It will be, but if I succeed I might have a real chance at the throne.”

It seemed even without Maria’s intervention they two were talking atleast casually. Though Maria admitted there was not real spark of romance there, is it not good to have a lover who was your friend first?

Either way Maria took the chance to get up and move away, neither of them really noticing as she did so. It was of course just her favor to give the Prince contact with her, it was up to them if they actually wanted to be together.

So Maria left, making her way through the day as the sun was slowly setting. It was a beautiful sight that was for sure, with the night approaching ever more slowly ever single day. It might be a mortifying experience if someone was not used to it from their birth.

With that darkness however came the chance for Maria to act. Oh what should she do in order to learn of these schemes placed against her?

As Maria walked into the room she could feel the humidity wash over her body. Such was because of the waters that always stayed hot, this place gave a nice divinity of cleanliness to all who walked in. It was such a lovely place, enough that Maria would dedicate almost an hour in here if she was not such a busy girl.

“By the Lord the water is hot!” A rather skittish Fein Kers said while dipping her toe into the waters.

“Well of course it is.” Maria said with an animated swinging of her hands, “Though I will admit its something you need to get used to, coming from such cold lands. Though that does not explain why you are so reluctant, Melody.”

“Th-this is a bath for high ranking Nobles!” the naked maid sputtered.

“Oh come on your two,” Neither of them moved with their faces going in opposite directions, “Who said I was asking.”

Before either could realize it, Maria had grabbed both of their hands and gave a tug. With a pull of her strength, both were drawn into the water without much more of a fight. Though Maria would admit Fein was a little bit harder, neither were ready for it and soon were emerged in water.

“Guh! Oh it is so hot yet so nice!”/“Oh I wish I was born a Princess!” Were Kein’s and Melody’s respective responses as Maria just gave a cynical laugh.

“Well now that we got everyone in, Melody grab the brush!” Maria said while pointing at the basket of goodies off to the side, “It is time to tame Fein’s hair!”

“Noooooo-!”

Such cried however fell on deaf ears as Maria quickly received what it was she asked for, and boy did she need it. For Melody she simply dissolved into the waters after doing her command, obviously taken by sloth itself. As for Fein, well the girl seemed to have finally given into Maria’s demands.

However, “What is this Fein, how long has it been since you gave your hair a proper cleaning and styling?”

“Forgotten.” she admitted while resting her ample bosom on the side so that her hair floated on the water’s surface.

“You know if you worked at it a little more you probably could have gotten the Prince. You possess just about everything a girl needs to convince him.”

“But I wanted to convince him with my poems!”

“You forgot to translate all of them.”

“Oh yeah, hehe.” and like that the girl began to blow bubbles in the waters without much care.

Maria could not help but give a smile at her people all relaxing, “Just a pity I could not get my own little mission done. Damn bird would have gotten in my way.”

“Bird~? What are you referring to Mistress~?” Melody said while still basking in the glory that was these hotsprings.

Before Maria could shut it down Fein weighed in, “Is it the one that keeps following the Heroine around?”

“Yes, do you not find it unnatural with its obviously unbirdlike intelligence.”

“Hmm, I think it is. Kinda reminds me of stories my Father always told me.” Fein began to almost submerge into the water if it was not for her buoyancy, “Bird like those use to be the protectors of the land, but with the Lord we have no use of them now.”

Maria’s brushing stopped as she heard those words, “Wait, do you know more about it then?”

“Nope, that was about all Papa said about them and I could never find any literature about them.” Fein said with a shrugging of her shoulders, “Such a cute thing though, wonder how it ended up down here.”

I don't think killing the bird is a good idea. Not only it's hard on it's own due to it's strange nature, we have to do it when it's not with Chloe and if we manage to do the deal and she finds the thing in time before we can hide the body, she may peform a miracle
>>
Could we use a cat as a hitman?

Yes! YES! Rules of nature baby let's do this.

How are we even going to do it ?

I don't know why but this quest encapsulates the spirit of /tg/. Schemes and plans as well as ideas that is out of the box. Also no waifu wars, just discussions of in-lore happenings and intrigues. This is the best quest I ever followed in /qst/ as of late.

Also cats are popular as villains pet. This is perfect for Maria in fact. Let's look for a black cat.

We are way too early in for the bird to die. At best we can obtain a "harasser"

This is the kind of thing where if we're in disguise, chloe will find cat hair where we were as per otome game bullshit.

I like the idea, but we'll eat crow for it for sure.

At least get Oskar expeed before we start killing birds. Everyone is on high alert anyway so wait until they calm down

No electricity at night and all of my plans required some daylight to move about outside the school r have somebody move about outside the school. I ad to rule out the other 3 options for being invalidated by the bird, tarnishing our reputation despite our respect for the job, or the suspicion that our idea of checking the textbook wasn't your idea of checking the textbook. In retrospect we could have been researching to see countermeasures and detection methods for the potions we used to see if chloe went CSI on us.
So I went with the only thing I knew I could do at night thanks to earlier posts, spend time as an editor.

What did that poetry sound like when translated? You might have actually had a good idea that was badly executed.

I guess we get that (less than) exotic pet QM was trying to get us to have a while ago. I suggest an agile kitten to make all of the girls in the dorm fawn over it while keeping a steady stream of cat toys to ensure he/she stays healthy. That way when it's more grown and Chloe's bird tries to sneak into our room, it will be fully buff and ready for action with nobody possibly faulting it for being so adorable.

“Interesting…” Maria mused while pointing towards her maid, “Melody, I wish to arrange a procurement of a Kitten.”

“A Kitten~” She said before her eyes widened, “Oh that sounds great Mistress! I will look for one right away, after this bath~”

Maria could only shake her head as the woman slowly submerged herself back into the waters below. Such a state was of course quite funny, so much so that Maria could not help but chuckle a little.

“Finally, I have finished cleaning it!” Maria declared while brushing the last remnant of waste from Fein’s hair, “How does it feel?”

“Its… a lot less bushy,” She admitted with wide eyes staring at her now modestly straight hair, “Though its still rough.”

“Well it will need to dry before you can feel the effects of the soap.” Maria declared while cleaning her equipment to start work on herself, “Once we leave however it might stretch all the way down to your hips, so be careful about getting it stuck in things.”

“A-alright! Th-thank you for this!”

“Indeed. If you need it done again, or some soap to do it with, come get me.”

“Got it!”

With those words spoken, Maria finally submerged herself into the waters to rest. Her aching muscles and bones were put at ease, as this was one of the few times Maria really got some rest in. Though as she relaxed, her mind was as active as it ever could be. Which lead to a curious question that Maria wanted to ask.

“Hey Fein, are you looking for a man to take to the Ball?”

“T-to the ball?” with a sudden movement her eyes became twisting as she bridged her finger, “Well, uh, no one has asked me yet. I-I am not the prettiest girl too.”

“Come on now give yourself more credit. Do I need to keep lecturing you on how your breast are larger than even mine and hair twice as long.”

“Guh, Maria why would you say that!?”

“Simply stating the facts.” Maria said matter of factly with a shrug, “You see, I have a brother who does not have a date either. And my Father is has probably been worried sick that he would never find one.”

“Y-you want me to?”

“Will you deny the chance?”

“Uh, guh, no I would not…” She said before looking up at Maria with a mixed look to herself, “Though I would want to meet with him first!”

“Why of course, you think I would give my brother up to a girl without letting him see her at least once beforehand?” Maria laughed, “Meet me here tomorrow and we will get things done.

“G-got it!” She said before her eyes went out of focus, “Oh, I wonder how much muscle he has.”

Well, Maria shall see this through. Though she wondered how it would go.

Soon enough their relaxing time had to come to an end, leading to the coming of the next morning. Such a time of course was where Maria had to start moving towards her day’s affairs. This one being a modestly pleasant one that she had been looking forward to the entire week.

“I find it hard to believe it took them this long to make the dress.” Maria admitted with a knowing smile upon her face.

“Well, I was told there were a few attempts already.” Albert said while they finally reached the door to the establishment, “However she was not happy until the most recent one today.”

And with that the doors opened to reveal both the owners of the shop. The man shinning a smile towards Albert while the woman towards Maria. There was no need of words exchanged as Maria walked her way into the back room while the store own went passed her and towards Albert.

“Ready for the big day tomorrow lad!”

And like that Maria had successfully gotten her way into the back room where the madam was waiting with something Maria had not seen in a long time.

The dress was quite the work, just to Maria’s choosing. There was nothing around the shoulders, however a nice slim cloth seemed to run from around the elbows to one another. Such a look was something closer to divine in Maria’s eyes, such a work easily praised.

“So it was successful?”

“Indeed it was, though it was closer to a nightmare at some parts.”

Maria was tempted to ask, but let that slide as they began to put the gear on. However Maria’s intrest was peaked as the madam took a large amount of gear apart to reveal what was holding everything together.

“Of course, a Corset would have done a trick.” Maria said without thinking.

“A Corset? Have you by chance seen something like this before?”

Maria got a little flushed before shaking her head, “No, uh, I saw it attempted once with armor. Honestly though I hope its not that tight.”

“Oh lord of course it
