A shooting star in broad daylight. Or perhaps an Alien machination. That was the first site to greet Godzilla when he arose from the dank depth of a tropical cave on his home island.

Today Godzilla had risen early. The King of All Monsters had napped over three nights now upon returning to Monster Island from his latest exploits. The battle against Super Mechagodzilla had left his bones weary, but they had recovered now like the rest of his body. He was feeling in top shape.

Godzilla's first thoughts were about Junior. He had a mission to rescue his son. But after that he thought about Mothra, and how she had sacrificed herself to save his life against Super Mechagodzilla. Was she truly dead, after all of these years? It didn't seem like she could die. It wouldn't feel right... not with all the history there was he knew. He still felt like her serene presence was in the air somewhere. Maybe he could get his answers from the Shobijin on Infant Island.

Godzilla heard commotion then that snapped him out of his thoughts. It was coming from another side of the island, it sounded like Rodan and Anguirus screeching through the air. Something was going on there, Rodan and Anguirus did not usually react in such a way to things. It could be anything. Ghidorah, Aliens, or Humans.

To his right, Godzilla saw a pillar of smoke rising in the air. That raised some suspicion, it was coming from near the coastline.

Godzilla also felt something else... it was weird... like a thumping in his head...

What will Godzilla do?

Godzilla got a move on. He wandered off in the direction of the commotion to see the happening. His subjects were most important to him right about now, and if there was a problem then it was his duty as the King to ensure it gets resolved.

Godzilla waded through dense jungle brush through his island until he ended up coming out to the grounds where many Monsters of the island were gathered.

Anguirus, Rodan, Gaira, Sanda, Varan, Zilla, King Ghidorah, Baragon, Gorosaurus, King Kong, Titanosaurus, Kumonga and Kamacuras were all gathered around something. There was a crying sound, and some of them were arguing rigorously to assert their own points.

"BIDIBIDIBIDIBIDIBIDI! BIDIBIDIBIDI!"

King Ghidorah was blunt in saying that 'it needed to be killed'. Rodan, Titanosaurus, Kumonga and Gaira were all backing him up.

"GAAAOOOO! GAAAOOOOOOOOO! GAOOO!"

Anguirus on the other hand was defending whatever 'it' was, telling Ghidorah that he overreached his position. Zilla, Sanda, Baragon and King Kong backed Anguirus up.

Varan, Gorosaurus and Kamacuras all remained neutral and just watched.

"SKREEEOOOONNNNK!"

Godzilla made himself known, gathering the crowd's attention as he strolled up haughtily. They all became silent as Godzilla stepped near.

"Skreee!"

Godzilla demanded to know the meaning of this.

"Gaoooooo! Gaoooooo!"

Anguirus spoke first, telling him that 'it' smelled just like Junior.

"...?!"

"Gaooo!"

Anguirus tells Godzilla to see for himself...

It lumbered on weak legs, flapping underdeveloped stubs it had for arms. It's hide was juvenile, the scales had not come in yet. It's skin was a sort of milky, dirty color...

It's neck was wide and fat with flesh that jiggled, it had... gills? Gills that leaked copious amounts of blood...

And it had Dorsal Fins! Dorsal Fins just like Godzilla, just like Junior! Then that meant it was apart of their family... or genus...

It's eyes were wide, it stared off into the void. It struggled, but raised itself as high as it could. Godzilla was utterly flabbergasted by the creature, which squeaked as it saw him.

"Skeeenk!"

"...."

"Gaooo!"

Anguirus told Godzilla that it was Rodan who first found it, but King Ghidorah claims to have first. Godzilla looked to Rodan.

"Kreeeuuurrnnnt!"

Rodan says he discovered it near the shore. Godzilla looks over to Ghidorah next.

Ghidorah growls, all of his heads chiming in to say that the creature was an alien sent from above. Ghidorah claims he saw it fall from the sky during the night. He says that it must be killed!

This was certainly... something... and something had to be done about this situation here.

Godzilla took a cautious step forward, trying not to spook the creature into running off.

His neck arched down as he attempted to communicate.

"Skreee! Skreeeoooonnngk!"

But his attempt was met with dull noise.

"Skeeenk!"

The thing spoke back, but it spake nothing Godzilla could discern. It was an infant after all, if all the features Godzilla studied were of any telling. This thing couldn't understand what it heard, nor could it relay back something coherent with it's voice.

Godzilla noticed that it payed no heed to any of the Monsters there, but to him, it actually focused it's attention. It refused to acknowledge anyone but Godzilla. There was no doubting it now that this thing was like him... the same as he was... Godzillasaurus. It had yet to grow to become a Godzilla itself. Right now, it was only slightly smaller than Varan the Unbelievable.

It chirped at Godzilla, as if trying to call him in specific.

Ghidorah lumbered over Godzilla, getting into his ears....

"BIDIBIDIBIDI..."

'You may hate me, but you know I've never lied.'

'The thing, it came from space. I saw it. It is a tool of the extraterrestrials. They sent it here to kill us all.'

Godzilla did hate Ghidorah, and Ghidorah hated him and everything else. But, Godzilla was pained to admit that Ghidorah had a point. The King of Terror was always honest... and if he was saying this thing, this baby, was sent by the Xiliens, he was likely correct.

Rodan claimed he found it near the shore. When asked about it coming from space, he says he knew nothing of the like, and he was flying on the day it was found. Rodan was also known to lie at times, but why would he now?

"BIDIBIDIBIDI! BIDIBIDI!"

Ghidorah chided Godzilla, saying that keeping the thing around would be awful leadership on his part as the King.

King Ghidorah says that it must be dealt with before 'the brat becomes a threat'. King Ghidorah says Godzilla should do it before he forms attachment to it...

"Bidibidibidi..."

King Ghidorah says Godzilla should do it before Ghidorah takes matters into his own hands...

What will Godzilla do?

Godzilla's tail swung around then. King Ghidorah could not react in time before Godzilla's tail lashed all of his heads away. The King of Terror hissed as he stepped back.

Godzilla asserted himself, stomping and standing tall.

"SKREEEEEEOOOOOONK!"

Godzilla's anger flared at the mention of that word, 'brat'. He reminded Ghidorah cruelly of his place under his heel and questioned Ghidorah if he must need to instill a lesson once more.

Ghidorah fell quiet, but then spoke up.

"BIDIBIDIBIDI-"

"SKREEEEEOOOOOOONGK!"

And Godzilla cut him off, he had enough of hearing Ghidorah say what he thought needed to be done. His was only an inhabitant of the island and the lowest in Godzilla's eyes. He would not force his principles here.

Ghidorah remained quiet and backed off as Godzilla snorted, standing in between him and the child. Godzilla made a point in his show that that went for everyone else.

He would take the baby on as his problem, everyone else was to mind their own business.

Anguirus seemed satisfied with this outcome. The neutral Monsters did not care, and began to leave. Rodan and Titanosaurus left as well, and Kumonga soon after. It was just Ghidorah now of those who wanted it dead. Anguirus, Zilla, Sanda, Baragon and King Kong watched him closely, making sure he didn't step out of line again.

Now that that was out of the way, Godzilla approached the child slowly and carefully. It stood there in anticipation...

Godzilla knelt down, and picked up the infant Godzillasaurus. He brought it level to his eyes and it stared at him curiously as he held it. It reminded him a lot of... how it felt to hold Junior. This new infant even fluttered it's arms and legs in the air... just like Junior.

Why would the Xiliens send this thing here? Was it something they created? A failure they didn't know what to do with? Or did they think this thing would be their tool to destroy Godzilla?

Whatever it was, Godzilla knew that there was one sensible thing to do. He would snap this child out of it, somehow one way or another. Whisk it right out of their plans. It was a member of his species, his kind, it was his duty to see it grow strong like him, to protect it until then. Maybe it would even help rescue Junior when it was fully grown, it looked to have already grown more than Junior did in his time with Godzilla. He would take it on as his second child, it was the least he could do. It was definitely what Junior would have wanted him to do.

"Skeeenk!"

It already warmed up to him, it expressed joy in being so close to him. It must have known he was the same as it was, and it felt safe. It looked scared seeing Ghidorah so close before, but not anymore.

Godzilla felt something warm from holding a child like this so close. It was the same feeling from the very first time he encountered Junior as well.

Godzilla sniffed the child, examining it's scent. Monsters could all tell their sexes from smell alone.

Sniffing this infant led Godzilla to discover that it was...

A female of his kind.


She was Godzilla's new daughter, and Junior's new sister to meet one day.

She needed a name to go by... Junior got his name from the Humans, which Godzilla accepted as his name. But what about her? Godzilla wasn't so good at naming but... he supposed he would simply name her... Shin..

Yes, she was Shin. Godzilla proclaimed it as he bounced her in his hands.

The new child became happy in his hold.

"Skeeenk!" She squeaked jovially.

Godzilla set Shin down gently, the new child nestling itself against his shins as it clung to his leg.

King Ghidorah was immensely disgusted, and swore briefly that he would solve the problem himself before leaving, flying off and away. Godzilla doubted he had the guts to do anything, it would mean his death.

"GAAAAAOOOOOOO."

Anguirus approached his old friend, having been meaning to relay some news. Godzilla listened eagerly.

"Gaaaooooo. Gao gaooooo!"

Anguirus told him that in the days he was asleep, the Monster of the Deep, Ebirah had appeared and began menacing the island's coastal lines. Though, Ebirah has not yet attempted to make a move on any of the inhabitants.

Ebirah wasn't much to worry over, it was a single minded beast but on occasion, it would try to kill other Monsters to eat their bodies. Godzilla had beaten Ebirah to a pulp more than once, bu the crustacean would always come back for more as it never got the idea.

Anguirus said it was last seen to the east, eating Humans who had crashed in a flying contraption. That might explain the smoke pillar from earlier.

"GAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOO!"

And then Anguirus stressed that while Godzilla slept, he and the others had to lay low. There had been multiple sightings of massive alien fleets flying over in the distance. They seemed to be gathering and pooling their strength together close to the land of Japan. They most likely intended to crush the Humans with their full force.

"...Gao gao..."

Anguirus also reminds Godzilla about Battra, who was left on the island last. He says he doesn't know what to do with the Dark Divine.

Godzilla nodded, taking note of all that.

What will Godzilla do now?

Godzilla made it his first order of business right now to attend the problem of Battra, who didn't precisely stand on the best of terms with Monster Island's inhabitants. It takes him some effort as well, but he is able to leave Shin safely with Anguirus, who swears to watch after the child while he dealt with the Dark Divine. She cried for Godzilla, but eventually was calmed down by Anguirus as he captures her attention.

Godzilla traveled quickly across the island, going to where Battra was last seen. Initially, he did not see the Dark Divine Moth at the area, but he looked up at a dark cloud overhead surging with red lightning and saw the guardian of nature atop a slope. He flies down to face Godzilla.

"KREEEEARGHOUH!"

The first thing Battra asked was simply what Godzilla wanted from him. Godzilla asked for his help. Battra seemed to chuckle at that.

"KREEAAARRRNGHT!"

Battra tells Godzilla that he does not need Godzilla's help to enact vengeance upon the Xiliens for having controlled him once. Battra says he has enough power to destroy the world, to sink islands like Monster Island without so much as a sweat being broken by him doing so.

He says that he does not care for Godzilla nor his goals. Battra's only goal is to protect the planet and eradicate Mankind. He says he will not help Godzilla, but he would gladly welcome Godzilla's help in his mission, adding that he knows Kaiju do wonders for the ecosystem.

He was rather unconvinced of having anything to do with Godzilla and sure of himself. He was Mothra's counterpart and her equal in every aspect, yet she wasn't so sure of being able to defeat the Aliens alone like him. Did he forget how he was made a pawn by them?

What will Godzilla do?

It was not a well thing to tug at the nerves of Battra, but Godzilla knew he had to inform Battra about the truth he dodged so well after all.

Godzilla told him that he was weak, he could not defeat Godzilla even with Mothra's help. He was just a boastful whelp before Godzilla.

Battra's jaw clicked as he bared his claws and began coming closer.

"KREEEEAAARRNGHT!"

"SKREEEOOOOONK! SKREEEEOOOONK!"

Godzilla reminded Battra who between them became a tool for the aliens. If Battra was to try and face them alone, they would kill him. His only hope to join forces with other Kaiju

"SKREEE!"

And then Godzilla gave him the cruelest reminder. That humanity was not so weak as he perceived, and that even they were able to stand against him. He could destroy the planet, but not so fast as he might like to think. He could wipe out life, but he was not unique in that regard.

"KREEEEAARRGHOUGH! KREEEAARRRNGTHTTHT!"

Battra was angered, he came close to attacking, but stopped as he hovered in front of Godzilla, face to face with the King. He asked, 'you dare insult a God?'

Godzilla tells him, 'The King of All Monsters dares anything.'

Battra calls Godzilla arrogant, and Godzilla says he knows. He says he is not alone in that regard.

"SKREEEEE!"

And he was the arrogant one who more than oft came out on top.

Battra went quiet. He mulled over what Godzilla told him, and he was highly averse to it.

Battra would rather have nothing to do with Godzilla, but he knew the facts he faced were true. He vented his breath, huffing impotently and shaking until he broke.

"KREEEAAARHOUGH!"

Battra had no choice now. He agreed to help Godzilla, but only if Godzilla helped him. Godzilla agreed as well.

However, Battra had one more price that needed to be payed. Godzilla asked him to name it.

"KREEEEAAAAARRRGNT!"

"....?!"

"KREEEAAAAARGHOUGH! KREEARGOUGH!"

Battra tells him that Godzilla knows his distance to Mothra. He tells Godzilla that he knows he worked with Mothra as well, assisting her in her own trials, and that she helped him as well.

Battra says that this must end. That Godzilla must either choose between him or Mothra.

Theirs was a feud that won't end. Battra was born of the planet to guard it from all threats like Mothra was born to guard nature and the balance of the universe, and when the planet desired the end of Humanity, Mothra severed her tie to Battra and sided with Man. They were eternal enemies.

Battra won't help someone who shares any connection to Mothra. If Godzilla really wanted his help, then he would have to agree to forgo his mutual relationship with Mothra. He says that he would be a more valuable companion, as he was stronger than Mothra.

"Skreeee!"

Battra chuckles again at Godzilla, this time at his question concerning the precognitive Shobijin.

Godzilla was fiercely opposed to Battra's proposal. Mothra had returned the favor to Godzilla in a way he could not make up for, she saved his life. Battra was just a reaper, he would never do such a thing for Godzilla even if Godzilla helped him achieve his hard goals.

Godzilla did not care if Battra was superior to Mothra either, he was unreliable.

Battra is disappointed, but he seemed to expect that coming from Godzilla. He hisses as he flies up.

"KREEEAAAAROUGH! KREARNT!"

He curses Godzilla, labeling him weak for needing help in the first place, he says it was so much unlike Godzilla to seek alliances. Furthermore, he tells Godzilla that he will be just as disappointed one day.

Battra says that Mothra does not truly care about him, and that she only uses him as a tool. Once the Aliens have been defeated, she will have nothing to do with Godzilla anymore.

Battra says that Mothra only cares about protecting worthless humans, and her 'spark'. Whatever that was...

Battra leaves, scowling at Godzilla as he flew away from Monster Island. They remained enemies.

Godzilla did not consider this a big loss, he was rather planning on using Battra like an expendable tool from the start. He'll just have to make due.

He was curious as to why Battra kept mentioning Mothra like he did. If Battra knew she helped Godzilla, then wouldn't he also know she was dead since her sacrifice? Or was she really still alive?

Godzilla will find out in due time. For now, he heads back to the previous spot from before.

Upon walking up, he saw Anguirus alone there with Shin. The little Godzillasaurus was laying down lazily, her gills spilling blood profusely. Anguirus complained, having been splashed with her blood, but he put up with it.

"Gaaaooooo."

Anguirus asked his King what he would do now. With the aliens gathering and King Ghidorah plotting in the shadows, there was much work to do be done.

There was still also the problem of Mothra's chores. The Smog Monster Hedorah was still at large roaming the countryside of Japan, reducing all to deathly sludge in his wake. Mothra might have had more chores she did not bring up yet as well. A visit to the Shobijin would do well to discover more in that regard.

Anguirus says he can gather the Monsters for a big battle if Godzilla so wishes. Together, Monster Island's inhabitants could ravage the Alien fleet gathering in Japan and cripple them in the Pacific.

Godzilla tells him to hold first. Godzilla wanted to look at his new child and get a closer look at this blood leaking from her gills.

As Godzilla came closer however, the thumping he felt in his head when he awoke returned, and it was far more intense.

"SKREEE!"

"GAO?!"

Godzilla nearly fell over and clenched his head. A painful wave came over his head as the thumping continued, and then he heard a strange noise flow through his earlobes.

It was... a call. It sounded so much like the call that was made by a distressed Monster, one like him in fact. Then, the migraine vanished as quickly as it came.

"Gao...?"

"Skreenk...."

Godzilla dispelled Anguirus' concern and turned to look behind himself off into the distance. That call, it came from across the sea. But what was it?

Godzilla shook his head, he had to ignore it for now.

Godzilla knelt down to his child, whom reared up at him squeaking, also worried over what overcame him.

Godzilla studied Shin's gills, trying to discern why exactly they bled so much. Shouldn't loss of this much blood be fatal to the child? It certainly would be to any other Kaiju.

Godzilla held the child's neck aloft as he sniffed her again, observing her with his heightened senses. Godzilla was a veritable psychic, many Kaiju were in fact but not all could use their psychic senses for extraordinary things. This sense served as a method of deeper observation, as well as a method of being able to locate others at long distances. For Godzilla, he could use it to find out things about this child his eyes wouldn't be able to normally

"Skeeenk!"

"Skreeeoooonnnngk!"

He found it, and it was astonishing to him.

Shin was absolutely overloaded with Organizer-G1, a radioactive genetic substance found in the cells of Godzilla's family. It was this substance which granted his almost miracle-like regenerative properties. Godzilla could heal injuries in matters of hours or days with it.

Junior had a lot more O-G1 than Godzilla being a newborn, but his younger body wasn't yet adapted to being able to use all of it, and as he would grow a lot of it would get lost in his body's growth until he turned out the same as his father.

However, Shin... she was able to use all of her O-G1. Her body was producing more blood than it was losing it and the gills were spilling it out to even the amount. It goes to show that her evolution hasn't yet reached it's peak. She will grow in time until she has improved indefinitely.

Godzilla also took the extra step to check her over for any alien devices that might control her, but he found nothing. However, there was a strange lump on her brain he didn't recognize as anything organic. He would like to remove it, but the brain is something vital that O-G1 won't repair so easily, or at all. He and she were not like Ghidorah, who had neurons scattered throughout his body, which made his three brains safe to lose and regenerate.

Godzilla had has answer. Now, it was time to muster his subjects...

Godzilla tells Anguirus that he wishes to move forward with attacking the aliens again, as that was the only way to rescuing Junior in the future. Anguirus is ready and prepares to gather the other inhabitants.

Godzilla would need to decide who to take and who to leave....

At Godzilla's order, Anguirus went off to gather Fire Rodan and Varan the Unbelievable, but before he departed Godzilla made him aware that he was off to leave Shin at Mothra's home, Infant Island, where she would not be found by King Ghidorah. Anguirus acknowledges that, saying he and the others would wait here for their King to return once he has collected them.

With that, Godzilla departed, swimming off into the waters of the Pacific and carrying Shin along to Infant Island on his back. He wasn't sure the child could swim yet, she could barely walk, so he kept himself level and made sure not to dive underwater.

The trip was as long as it usually was with a good current not affecting his travel speed, and soon Godzilla made it to Infant Island, where he arrived on the shore and let his new child off to the sand below...

Godzilla began moving inward towards the sanctum of the Island with Shin following close behind as best as she could, but Godzilla did not make it far before suddenly the sky above exploded with a brilliant light.

A heavenly figure descended down upon him, one that he saw fly right out of the sanctum to meet him. It was a Divine Moth, but not Mothra. Godzilla thought his eyes deceived him at first, but he came to realize who he faced was the greatest Divine Monster in the entire world. It was Mothra Leo, Mothra's son. He had hatched from his larval form, he was now in his seemingly omnipotent Imago stage. The likes of Mothra and Battra were nothing to him, and even Godzilla had doubts about himself being able to best Leo.

Leo received the company well when he recognized Godzilla.

"CHEEEERRRRRRNNNNKT!" He bellowed a warm greetings.

To any other Monster, basking in his splendid air was intimidating. Godzilla knew that even the supposed fearless Ghidorah shuddered at the thought of coming face to face with Leo. Yet, despite his presence's aura, Shin did not back down, she in fact was attracted to it and tried to reach up towards Leo.

"CHEEEEEERRRRNT!"

"SKREEEOOOOONNNNK!"

"CHEEERNT! MEEEEWOOOPH!"

Mothra Leo questioned Godzilla, asking what he desired. Godzilla answered honestly and requested that Leo allow Shin to stay here safely.

Leo accepted immediately, saying that that was the least he was capable of doing for Godzilla. He expressed a love of children and said that would keep Shin secure in the sanctum.

Godzilla only nodded silently. His business here was taken care of already.

I theorize the alien device in shins brain isnt actually mind control. Its probably more like a pituitary gland that will throw her bodies development into the overdrive like it was in the movie.

Regardless I support. A government military force of TitanFall mechs could be cool. Or the pilot of Mecha G coming back with a Gundam aka Mecha G(undam), small but very powerful and fast. Etc etc. Plenty to play with if you want smaller, mythos established mechas in the quest.

But Godzilla had to know more, he needed some answers, and what lingered on his mind right now more than anything else was Mothra.

He had to know, did she perish?

Leo beckoned Godzilla with his head. The Divine Son turned back and fluttered gently with his wings into the inner sanctum of Infant Island. Shin followed right behind Godzilla, as aloof as can be.

When Godzilla was inside, he looked up and saw a white, glistening cocoon hanging by the wall of the sanctum near the apex. The Shobijin box was missing. Godzilla knew what this was, that cocoon would hatch into something.

"Cheeerrnt."

"Skreee...?"

"Cheeerrrnnnt!"

Godzilla could hardly believe what he was being told. That cocoon contained... Mothra. She was gestating inside, awaiting her revival. She was not dead after all, she was immortal, all Divine Moths were.

There were distinctly two plump Larvae that were with Mothra the last time Godzilla was here. One was Leo, and the other was 'Little Mothra'. As Leo explained it, the Little Mothra was in fact another body which Mothra herself controlled. Upon the death of her last body in her sacrifice, her soul transferred over to the next, which then proceeded to prepare for it's growth to the Imago stage.

But what about Leo? Godzilla remembers him being Imago for most of his life, and then before the invasion began, he was a Larvae suddenly. Godzilla wondered, and Leo said it was the result of time travel in his bid to defeat Obsidius and Krystalak in the past.

Godzilla stared up silently at Mothra's cocoon. He felt at ease.... somehow knowing she was alive and well.

Godzilla had but a few last inquiries, and spoke quickly with Leo.

Leo was surprised to hear about Battra's whereabouts. He thought the Dark Divine might be dead for the moment after what happened with the aliens transpired. Though, Battra would not die forever. He was simply reborn from the planet itself if his body was destroyed, the Earth still yearned for Humanity's destruction even today and after all these eons.

When Godzilla mentioned what Battra said, Leo actually dropped his normal warm attitude. He didn't think Godzilla would know about that word. He seemed intent on keeping it's meaning hidden, just like Mothra and her priestesses did. Now what was this? It couldn't be that important they needed to keep secrets.

Godzilla would want them to trust him at least, he knows what is at stake here after all concerning Junior.

"Cheerrrnt! Cheeeernt! Chernt!"

Mothra Leo shook his head, he refused to divulge any information about the 'spark'.

Godzilla asked him about the possibility of him joining in the battle against the aliens. Leo considered that... but he says the island's protection was more important. Shin bled on the floor in the background.

Perhaps the King could try working his charismatic charm on the divine...

Godzilla decides to refrain from pressing further. If Leo was worried over the secret getting out, then it must have been really important. He wasn't about to press Leo's buttons either.

He had only one more thing he wished to know and spoke again, bringing up his discovery of the lump to Leo and asking the Divine Moth what he could do about it.

Mothra Leo obliged Godzilla and took a closer look at Shin. The Divine Moth had several more senses than Godzilla did, he was able to easily see what Godzilla meant. He observed it fondly.

"Cheeerrrrnnnt."

Godzilla thought he heard wrong at first.

"Mewoopph."

But he did not.

Leo said it was a... bone. The inorganic object was a bone. A bone?

Leo said the compound was metallic to a degree, but it was certainly a bone, and it was also a natural part of Shin's body. The bone was growing off of her skull's interior. What purpose or function it served he could not say....

Godzilla would have to make what he could of that. If Leo said it was a bone, then it was certainly a bone.

Godzilla, now truly finished here, leaves Leo to it and departs from Infant Island, going back to Monster Island...

Godzilla gathered his subjects willing to follow and set out almost immediately getting back to Monster Island. With Anguirus, Rodan and Varan the Unbelievable in tow, he ventured out across the north Pacific ocean, swimming his way over to Japan where the Alien menace was mustering their strength.

They came to a point where they stopped soon near rocks far out at sea to look ahead. With his psychic sense, Godzilla detected the Xiliens from miles away. He and the others stood there looking in awe at what they saw near the coastline.

A truly massive fleet was moving into the heart of Japan. There had to be at least several hundred Xilien ships there in total, a near quarter of the invasion's total strength. They were en route to crush the Humans flat it seemed, otherwise there wouldn't be this many vessels in one place, with more slowly coming.

The Humans were doomed, that was for sure. Godzilla did not care, he only came for the aliens. It would be unwise to attack now at sea like this however. Fighting them in the cities ahead would present an advantage as there would be plenty of building to take cover behind. Destroying that many of their ships would take a while, but Godzilla would also settle for most, or half at the least.

The others, Anguirus and Varan looked like they didn't actually know what they were getting into now, but Rodan looked psyched out to get to fight against them.

Godzilla bode his time and waited until the fleet had moved on by a large margin before he and the others continued their pursuit...

The alien fleet's destination appeared to be Nagoya, a city not a long ways from Tokyo. The fleet was moving higher in the air as they neared the city. A lot of their number and rank was breaking off in clusters from the fleet, the breakaway ships firing up their extraterrestrial engines to zip away into the distance, heading back out to sea. This perplexed Godzilla. He thought they were coming to fight the Humans as he edged closer to the outskirts of Nagoya.

What was their aim here? Most of them were heading away, but a lot were also staying and descending down to the city to-... Just then! A beam suddenly fires up into the air from downtown Nagoya, taking out multiple Saucers in one go.

In retaliation, most of the Xilien ships fire back down at the source of the ray Godzilla saw in the distance. Now he had to know.

Godzilla led his companions through the city, careless if the aliens saw him or not now. He fired up at some Saucers and Rodan provided some support, shooting his own Heat Ray at nearby smaller stragglers. The ships moved to avoid Godzilla and his group, but they remained in the city, refusing to leave.

That was when Godzilla saw what they were fighting, or rather who was fighting them.

A peculiar, yet familiar giant of light on one knee in the downtown section of the city. Smoke was flowing off of his body, and a device was blinking with garnet light on his chest rapidly. He seemed to be wounded, but his spirit didn't look to waver.

"ERGH!"

He raised his hand and swings it, hurling a disc of energy to slice through two more saucers. They all fired at him with their crimson ray weapons again as one, showering him in deadly focused particles.

"HERGH!"

He doesn't look like he can take much more.

Anguirus didn't know what he was looking at, but Godzilla did. That being was known as Ultraman by the Humans. It was a giant made of light who came from space, a hero of sorts who battled threats to the planet for a time before departing it and the Humans. It seems he has returned again to assist Earth in these troubled times.

To Godzilla, his heroism or mission was irrelevant and meaningless, but if they both could find ground enough to fight side by side on, then there was some value to helping Ultraman here to Godzilla.

Ultraman appeared to have been trying his best to destroy a strange blue orb in front of him that lay in a crater on the ground. It was likely another Alien device. It was guarded by a big capital alien ship hovering directly over it, protecting it with an energy shield.

The aliens seemed to be preparing to unleash another volley of fire upon Ultraman.

Godzilla needed to act now with everyone. He needed a plan for approach here.

...he let Anguirus fly!

The Anklyosaurus Kaiju curled up into the back of his shell and went careening through the air, taking out three saucers in one go!

Anguirus used the momentum behind himself being thrown to bounce off of the ground, jumping up to crash into saucers with his spiked back! The attack had begun.

Godzilla turned his head then at the buzzing sound of a massive robot revealing itself a distance away. It was a strange looking device, like a cylinder in shape. It had... expressive eyes, and wore a bored face.

The thing was clumsy, stepping onto every building in it's wake, crushing them flat as if it disregarded human architecture completely. Godzilla thought it might be here to attack him, that it might be made the Humans or Xiliens, but rather it stood still and faced towards Ultaman.

A bronze panel on it's chest opened up, and a bright flash exited a muzzle underneath. It fired out some sort of blast at Ultraman. The robot raised it's arms in triumph over something...

"BRRZZZT-BZZZZZZTO!"

Ultraman was not harmed by the blast he received at all from the robot, in fact, it was the opposite. He was reinvigorated by it. His body became engulfed in a powerful aura and his chest device turned blue, no longer blinking to signal a dangerous condition...

Ultraman rose, radiating power!

That was it. Ultras, they reacted to sunlight quite well. They were benefited by solar energy. That robot must have fired off something to recharge Ultraman. He looked like he never even received an injury in the first place.

Ultraman struck a pose. His recovery unsettled the saucers above, causing them to back off and stop firing their weapons. Ultraman looked around at the other Kaijus, and then his gaze fell to Godzilla. He only nodded before looking to the aliens and assuming a fighting stance before their ships began to drop out ground troops.

From the waters nearby outside of Nagoya's limit, the mighty warship Gotengo and it's escort of Atragon cruisers burst forth, splashing the waters behind them as they took to the air. With them came M.O.G.U.E.R.A. Unit 02, and from their hangar doors descended squadrons of Humanity's newest war machines, Mobile Suits on their way to meet the Xilien forces head on in a clash over the city.

With Ultraman on their side, as well as Godzilla and his comrades questionably, the Humans were poised to take this victory with ease...

"We've pulled off a good maneuver, we can't let it go to waste. We'll have to deploy backup for Zetton now that he has finished awakening."

Godzilla perked his head up at the sight of a new UFO hovering overhead, one with a shape unlike the saucers. It emitted a teleportation light to the ground from it's lift, and in the place of it two new monsters suddenly appeared.

The Upgraded Gigan, who flashed the smile of a true sadist, followed by the beastly Knifehead!

The fight against the aliens here wouldn't be so one sided now... to Godzilla, this made things interesting.

That was Ultraman's voice. Godzilla could understand his Ultra-Speak, he heard him using his psychic sense.

The large orb Ultraman had been trying to destroy began to crack with reddened lines as the ship protecting it left off in a hurry.

The monster that appeared from the explosion, out of the orb was ZETTON, the fatal space dinosaur. A being of immense power.

Ultraman lost his heroic attitude faced with this thing slowly walking towards him. He was honestly perturbed by the sight of it. Godzilla thought it looked ridiculous, but if Ultraman took it seriously, then so should he...

Together, Zetton, Gigan and Knifehead prowled, coming to face down everyone they saw.

Ultraman got ready to run into battle, Anguirus landed and unfurled to charge them while Rodan and Varan soared above, coming to dive.

Godzilla needed to choose an opponent as well and get to the fight!

Godzilla waited until the exact moment that Zetton would go to attack before he acted.

The killer extraterrestrial Monster's horns stood upright as it suddenly fired out two projectiles from it's face's glowing feature at Godzilla. The King was quick however, and dodged the blasted, which hit the ground behind him and erupted into plumes of flame that began consuming the city around. These were Zetton's trademark, the One Trillion Degree Fireball attack.

The alien did not let up, his eyes and glowing spot all fired out fireballs then in a flurry. Godzilla rolled and then hopped to his feet to dodge each one. Now with leverage again, Godzilla lunged at Zetton, and as he expected, the alien teleported out of the way, appearing again behind him.

Godzilla was quick to react as he pretended to go to swing his tail, causing Zetton to raise his arms in defense. Now Godzilla had an opening...

Godzilla pushed into the dinosaur, and Zetton pushed back, fighting against Godzilla's force with one arm.

Godzilla was put into a strenuous spot. If he failed to overcome Zetton's outrageous strength, he would be humiliated. He needed to shove this dinosaur down and establish dominance, quick!

Godzilla pushed hard as he could against Zetton, but the alien barely budged, it refused to give in. Godzilla could not move it much, it slid inches by inches across the ground as Godzilla did his best to force it back.

Godzilla was almost powerless before Zetton's strength... but by trying to work against the alien, he discovered something. The longer he kept the pressure on Zetton, the more exhausted the alien would become. Zetton was strong, very strong, but by using his impressive strength as the minutes were counted going by, he would run out of more and more of his stamina which kept him going.

Zetton was getting progressively tired holding Godzilla back, though he did it easily he should have overpowered the King while he had the chance. Showing off like this has got him on the edge now, evidenced by his beeping slowing and his glowing spots getting darker.

Zetton realized this then and had enough. He shoved his arm forward, throwing Godzilla back down with his overwhelming strength.

Godzilla rose behind the alien, unbeknownst to Zetton, who was leaning slightly forward...

Zetton teleported out of sight, having received a heavy beating from Ultraman. His glowing organs blinking signaled that he was weaker from enduring Ultraman's Ultra techniques, the fight may soon be over if he takes anymore punishment!

Godzilla and Ultraman looked around, trying to see where Zetton had gone to. That was when a bright flash came from above, followed by the churning sound of fiery energy and Zetton's humming.

"HGGNNNNNNNN.......!"

Both looked up to see the space dinosaur charging up one of his most powerful attacks, the One Trillion Degree Deathball! A supercharged variant of his One Trillion Degree Fireball!

"You're insane, that will level this whole city!" Ultraman said to the alien.

"HGM HGM HM HM HMMM.... Z... TON!" Who laughed back in his face.

"Erghh... We've got to stop that!"

"Skrnkk...!" Godzilla only paced back and forth between staring at the two, before he took a place next to Ultraman and steadied himself.

This was a dangerous spot! But they couldn't move, less they risk everyone else getting killed in the crossfire!

The stream of his deadly power struck the incoming Deathball, and stopped it completely before reversing it's course yet again!

This time, it began to grow. In fact, it swelled to a critical mass and burned red as it came down slowly upon Ultraman and Godzilla. Zetton's Final Breaker Beam was inflating it with more energy!

Now Ultraman and Godzilla realized as well that it was truly was all or nothing! And they couldn't allow this to be the end!

Godzilla's dorsal fins sparkled with energy, he prepared a Spiral Heat Ray. Ultraman raised his hands in a cross and charged up his Specium Ray! Together, they would blow Zetton out of this world!
