/qst/ - Quests

Were you to travel the stars, across this vast universe, no doubt tales of a mighty warrior race would reach your ears. Many speak of the Saiyans with awe and wonder, marveling at their power and aspiring to become like them. Others speak in hushed tones, of the fear and despair in facing the warrior race in battle. But one thing all agree on, is that standing against the might of the Saiyan race would spells certain doom. Many have tried, several going as far as to invade the Saiyan’s homeworld of New Salda. Yet every invasion has failed, defeated by the Saiyans and their most powerful warriors: the golden-haired Super Saiyans, and the green-haired legend who leads them. But once more they march, leaving their home behind and advancing into the heart of their enemy’s territory. Which side will triumph, and who will perish?

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, the story of an alternate timeline in the greater Dragonball world. Currently it is Age 749 and you the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the radiant symbol of Saiyan might. Now as a PTO general with a powerlevel of 20,166,000 and close friend and confidant of Lord Freeza himself, Karn has become one of the strongest beings in the entire universe.

>20 minute voting windows, pick ONE option when voting(unless otherwise noted)
>Dice rolls are all best of three, only correctly rolled dice pools will count
>Crits are 100 on a d100(a 99 or paired rolls may net you an extra bonus)
>Crit fails count -only- if no roll passes the DC, or if two different 1s are rolled which will OVERRIDE even a critical success, resulting in a catastrophic crit failure

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After months of training, the Lucrehulk carrying the PTO’s assault force arrived near the first targets. During the strategy meeting Karn chose the toughest, strongest target to test his students’ might on. Much to the relief of his non-Saiyan allies. After comforting Meloka, her pregnancy keeping her off the battlefield, the day of battle finally arrived. Launching from the Lucrehulk in an Attack Pod, along with his dozens of students and the Jiralhanae warriors, Karn landed on Ra’Sal and engaged the Covenant forces. Inside the base he came face-to-face with another Stand user, and as we rejoin Karn you’ve just witnessed the Sangheili Stand user impale the Jiralhanae Chieftan Tiveus Relezeus.

“GRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!!” you roar, your sheer rage overwhelming your senses for a moment as your power surges. The Sangheili Thuro 'Sugram turns at your roar, eyes widening in surprise and fear as he hears your shout. He tries to back away, to turn and face you but Tiveus grabs his weapon, keeping the Sangheili from pulling back.
“Wha-?” is all he has time to say, your left fist slamming into the side of his head. Caught off-guard your strike launches Thuro, the splitjaw crashing into and through the far wall.
“Th-Thanks.” Tiveus replies, reaching up and deactivating the Energy Sword as he coughs up blood. “Dammit, I was supposed to be the one saving you.”
“Why did you come in here?” you ask him. “And how did you find me so quick?”
“Felt your ki.” he replies, holding his gaping wound. “And when it dropped, I knew something was wrong. So I came to help.”
“I appreciate it.” you reply, feeling Tiveus’s power waning. “But now you gotta go back up to the ship, and get that healed up.”
“Not yet, I-I’m fine.” he says, coughing up a bit more blood. “Let’s end this bastard first, then I’ll go.”

Well? What do you do?
>Tell him that enemy gains power from it’s opponents, and to get away before he powers it up even more

>>4313998
Watching blood pour down your friend’s chest, you can’t help but worry about him. That injury looks bad, a wound like that should’ve put him out of commission. Judging from his expression, the only reason he’s still standing is the agony he’s clearly in. Better end this quick, and get him back to get healed up.

“Alright, let’s make this quick.” you reply, lifting his hammer off the ground and handing it over. Tiveus nods in thanks, but winces as he takes the weapon: the weight no doubt pulling at the wound, but he hefts it without complaint.
“You bastards!” the Sangheili shouts, pulling himself from the wall. Even It Up, now! Tilt The Scale!”

As if on cue his Stand lifts it’s golden sword, weighting down what is your end. As it does you feel your own strength plummet!

“What?” you say, energy being sapped from your body.
“This is Even It Up’s ultimate technique!” Thuro 'Sugram says, a familiar green aura surging up around him. “By tilting the scales in my favor, I can continuously drain an opponent’s strength, fueling my own! Now, die!”

As he roars the Sangheili lunges for you, his power now several times your own. That is, until you clench your fists, Ascending in a burst of sparks and emerald aura. Your power and size both grow, you catching the splitjaw’s fist in your massive hand.

“Wh-What?!” he shouts, but you’re done playing games. Lifting his right arm with yours you slam a hard left into his side, crushing the Covenant armor and snapping bone. The Sangheili cries out in agony, you pulling your fist back and swinging again, this time for his ugly mug. Your strike lands true, the force of the punch tearing his arm from his body as it sends him flying backwards. His body crashes through wall after wall, but you don’t bother pursuing him. His Stand, the golden statuesque being, begins dissolving before your eyes. As it does your own power begins returning, your Ascended Berserker form returning back to where it’s supposed to be.

“There.” you reply, sighing out and returning back to your base form. “Alright, ready to go back?”
“Well...” he says, clearly wanting to fight more but also knowing his limits. As a warrior he wants to keep fighting, the injury hurting not only his body but his pride as well.
“General Karn! We’ve got a problem!” Taro shouts over your scouter. “Enemy ships have appeared overhead, they’ve got reinforcements!”

What do you do now?
>Rush outside with your Super Saiyans, meet them head-on
>Rush outside yourself, leave the Super Saiyans inside to finish the rest
>Tell your Super Saiyans to meet the fleet head-on while you finish those inside the base

“I’ll be right there.” you reply, grabbing Tiveus’s arm with your left hand. With a moment’s focus on your ki sense you Instant Transmission back to the Lucrehulk.
“Karn?” Meloka asks, your wife sitting in the training room with hundreds of ki orbs orbiting her at varying speeds and angles. While your wife hasn’t been able to train her body for the past few months, that doesn’t mean she’s been idle. With her body heavy with child, she’s instead been focusing her mind. Her ki control has thus soared far beyond anything you’ve ever seen, once she rejoins the battle the enemy better be afraid. “Tiveus? What happened?”

“Enemy Stand user.” you reply, letting go of Tiveus and focusing again. With a moment you teleport again, arriving beside one of your Super Saiyans, Nion.
“Karn, what’s going on?” he asks, sweeping a hand and unleashing a wide wave of energy that clears the room and most of it’s Covenant occupants. The Kig-Yar’s shields protect them from the powerful attack, but it overloads the shields and leaves them exposed. With the enemy now open you both rush forward, slaying the dozen or so Kig-Yar in seconds.
“The fleet’s arrived, we gotta head outside.” you tell him, relaying the message telepathically to everyone while you and Nion rush back outside. As you do, you see a dozen or so large Covenant warships flying overhead. “And there they are.”
“They’re bigger than I remember.” Lattu says, the younger Saiyan woman trembling slightly at the all-too-familiar sight.
“We’ll slaughter them all the same.” Rugu says, popping his knuckles. “Let’s teach these bastards why they should fear us!”

How will you do this?

“You five, take those ships down!” you order, returning to your own Berserker form as you see one beginning to charge it’s powerful glassing cannon. “I don’t want a single survivor, understood?”
“Sir!” they all shout, launching themselves up into the air and leaving golden trails behind. Meanwhile you take off closer to the ground, just over your Oozaru allies’ heads. You blitz over to your untransformed allies, who’re maintaining and protecting the Power Balls floating in the air.
“It’s about to fire, what do we do?” Taro asks, the weaker Saiyan clearly afraid of the devastating weapon. But you don’t hesitate, focusing your overflowing ki and unleashing it.

“Super Barrier!” you bellow, energy field expanding out around you, the Power Balls, and the Saiyans maintaining them just as the cannon fires. A beam of overwhelming power fires straight down at you all, your shield tanking the powerful blast. Your shield is so powerful you barely even feel it, the blast unable to so much as move your barrier as you face the younger Saiyan. “Protect the Power Balls. Without them, our fellow Saiyans aren’t as strong.”
“R-Right!” he says, gaining confidence from your orders. And as the attack ends you end your Barrier, turning fully to face him.
“Stay on your toes, but relax.” you tell him, trying to calm the far-younger man down. “The Barrier technique can easily absorb those shots, just make sure you have it fully up before they fire.”
“Of course!” he replies, then a little less confidently. “But what about you?”

“I’ll be protecting everyone else.” you reply, pointing to the next ship that’s about to fire. But instead of at the Power Balls, it’s taken aim at a cluster of your giant allies fighting back-to-back against a swarm of manned fighter ships. Without another word you dash over, smashing through a half-dozen or so of the odd craft before breaking through to your allies. A few see you, one in the middle gesturing you over. But before you do you fly just above them, and once more unleash your energy. “HAAAAAAAAA!!”
>>
>>4314410
Instead of relying on your Barrier again, focusing fully on defense, this time you return fire with a beam of your own. Energies clash, you easily overwhelming the Covenant weaponry and blasting right up into the ship itself. Or rather through, as your ki punches straight through the ship and up into the void of space. The blast sets off a chain reaction inside the ship, after a second it finally explodes in a large fireball. That done, you turn back to the one waving you down, recognizing the armor of the female Saiyan, Cenoria. But over her shoulder, you see another of the Covenant ships preparing to fire down.

“Hold on, gotta stop another beam.” you tell her telepathically, launching yourself forward. You blitz over to that other group, flipping over to your back as you get closer towards the ship while continuing the conversation. “What’s the problem?”
“It’s Beeto and Patac.” she tells you, you feeling her worry. “They both took a bunch of pretty bad shots, Beeto to the face and Patac, well...”
“Well what?” you ask her, launching a powerful wave into the Covenant warship’s cannon. Your blast once more overwhelms theirs, Covenant technology no match for your raw power. “What happened to Patac?”
“She got shot several times in the tail.” she tells you, you wincing at this. A Saiyan’s tail, despite being a source of strength, can also be your greatest weakness. “And it was severed.”

Oh shit. Losing your tail is a serious injury for a Saiyan, especially once you’re an adult and it can’t grow it back anymore. Even with the healing pods, a serious tail injury can even prevent someone from transforming into the mighty Oozaru form. They probably need to be taken back to the ship, especially Patac.

“Do you have her tail as well?” you ask her, knowing time is limited to get her fixed. “If not, you gotta secure it.”
“We have it here with us.” she replies. “We need to get them back to safety.”
“Agreed.” you tell her, several more Covenant warships getting blown out of the sky as the rest begin to deploy their fighters. The sky turns darker as millions of fighters begin filling the air, firing on everything not one of their own. “Damn, this is trouble.”
“Can’t you just teleport them up?” she asks you. “They gotta go, we can’t go fight and protect them both at the same time.”

“You’re right about that.” you reply, dashing back over. “But everyone still needs me down here, you’ll have to do it.”
“Wait, what?” she replies, confused as you appear before her. “But I can’t teleport.”
“You don’t have to.” you reply, gathering your ki into both hands. “But you can fly back to the ship, right? I’ll cover you, and clear the way.”

“Understood.” she says with a growl, scooping up both the injured Saiyans. You turn from her, aiming up into the air as you slam your arms together. Energies mix and swirl together, amplifying the power several times as you prepare to unleash it. But as you do, almost as if on cue, tens of thousands of ships turns toward you and begin firing. Without much time to change course you instead focus on your attack, releasing the energy far sloppier than usual. What is usually a tight, powerful golden beam is instead more of a cone, your blast losing a lot of it’s usual power. Which isn’t to say it’s ineffective, but doesn’t clear as far into the sky as you’d hoped. You’ll just have to do your best to protect her until she leaves atmosphere.

“Now, go!!” you roar, leading the charge. Pushing forward you toss a pair of Scattershots, the blasts forcing several wings of enemy fighters to divert their course. Centoria follows you closely, you using Scattershots to keep the enemy from closing in. But that’s all, as their much-lesser energy cannon shots have to be stopped as well. While Centoria makes a straight dash for the atmosphere, you spin around her deflecting attacks back towards other enemy craft. But your efforts are successful, Centoria flying right past one of the massive Covenant warships on her way out of the atmosphere.

“Use your Barrier before you leave.” you think to her, you seeing the shimmering field around her as she flies off into the void of space. With her safely escorting the injured clear of the planet, you turn your mind back to the battlefield. Millions of the Covenant fighters remain, despite your Oozaru allies destroying them by the score. The Covenant ground forces are still active, despite being almost completely destroyed. As for the warships, you can only see two left, the one by you and one by your Super Saiyans. As you think it, you see a multicolored blast pushing back the glassing cannon’s beam, piercing through and destroying the warship.

What will you do?

“Well done, but this last ship’s mine.” you telepathically tell your Super Saiyans, Ascending to your full size and power. With your full strength ready you dash down, grabbing the massive ship by it’s nose. Before the pilots know what’s happening you twist and swing your newfound weapon. The massive ship crashes against dozens upon dozens of the tiny single-warrior fighters, dashing them to pieces against it’s shield. “Now, let’s finish this.”

“Sir!” they all reply, your show of force inspiring them all to action as well. From this point forward the battle is incredibly one-sided, less a battle than an extermination. With their warships all either destroyed or turned into a makeshift weapon, the millions of fighters remaining are little more than a swarm of angry hornets before your might. Each mighty swing of the massive Covenant warship destroys the fighters by the swarm, while your Super Saiyan and Oozaru disciples attack with unrestrained fury. The Covenant air ships are powerless before you all, their weapons far less potent than their ground artillery.

But as you swing the warship back and forth, you feel it begin trying to fly away from you. Despite this, it simply doesn’t possess the power to get away, and instead swiftly begins another plan. You feel the ship shudder as it begins gathering energy, the main cannon about to fire. So you turn, pointing it’s underside to the sky and towards the fighters as the massive cannon fires. Hundreds of fighters are consumed instantly, but you keep the ship moving and the beam blasting more and more of the fighters to pieces.

“Thanks for the help.” you say jokingly to the ship, gathering your ki into your right hand as a formation of easily several thousand ships make a desperate attempt to take you down and free the warship. So you give them what they want, creating an Energy Javelin and thrusting it deep into the warship before slinging it right at the enemy. Surprised by your change in tactics they try to evade, but as they do your javelin causes the massive warship to explode. The thousands of flying fighters are all caught in the blast, you sensing the millions of ki signatures vanishing as the warship is obliterated. Expanding your range, you sense less than a thousand remaining Covenant fighters, which are quickly mopped up. And just like that, the massive enemy force has been completely destroyed.

“GWROOOAAAAAR!!” several of your Oozaru bellow, having clearly won this battle. Then several notice the fortress, and begin stomping over towards it. No doubt, to smash it to bits.

What do you do?
>Let them since you don’t sense much from inside it, telepathically tell Lord Freeza your mission was successful
>Tell them all to stay back, explore it yourself and have your Super Saiyans on standby

“Everyone stay back!” you order them all telepathically. Everyone stops, you flying directly over the fortress so everyone around it can see you. “Maintain your distance, and if anything other than me comes out, you either turn it back or turn it to ash. Understood?”

“Sir!” Saiyans, Super Saiyans and Oozaru all shout, saluting you together. You salute back, then flying back inside the fortress as you revert to your normal Berserker form to conserve power. Despite none of the remaining thirty or so ki even approaching a powerlevel of a million, you’re still cautious. After all, Jotaro never stood a chance against you without his Star Platinum, and you’ve fought many Covenant Stand users already. In fact, you can’t remember fighting any Covenant Stand users during the Siege or the war beforehand, perhaps they’ve found some sort of method to create Stand users? Perhaps you should ask Joseph sometime.

Meanwhile, as you think on that, you travel from room to room hunting down the remaining Covenant soldiers. Each one you track down isn’t alone, at least six of them to a room. But the Kig-Yar’s weaponry aren’t a real threat to you, as you slaughter each squad within a second or two efficiently. That is, until you come to a room with a hole on two opposite walls. Looking both ways you see the room you’d fought the Sangheili in to your left, so you go through the hole to your right. Best to make sure the only real threat to you is one hundred percent dead, after all. Room after room you walk through the holes, until you finally find the dead Sangheili. And he is in fact dead, having bled out onto the floor below him. As you fit yourself through the hole, however, you freeze. There’s a footprint in the blood! A single print, too large to be a Kig-Yar or a Grunt, yet smaller than a Sangheili’s. Someone was here, but who? Looking around you see no one nearby, but as you look to the doorway to your right, you see it! The same being from the Lucrehulk, standing in the far doorway.

“You!” you say, shouting at the being and preparing to launch yourself at him. But the spindly creature holds up a hand, and speaks.
“Peace, heretic.” he says, voice seeming just as frail as the rest of him. “I seek not conflict today, much less with the Dragon himself.”

Well? What do you do?

“Then what do you want?” you ask, not softening your stance. But as you say this you once more attempt to focus your mind, reaching out for the state of Foresight. Calming your mind down is difficult, especially as your enemy is standing right there before you. So you take a deep breath, relaxing your body to help relax your mind. The San’Shyuum seems to relax as well, but doesn’t approach you. “Why are you here?”
“Well, this is one of our fortresses.” he says, then glances down at the dead splitjaw. “Or, at least it was. I was actually coming here to check up on that one, but it seems there’s no more need.”
“Check up on him?” you ask, now curious as you keep trying to focus. “For what?”
“Well, it makes little difference now, doesn’t it?” he asks you with a chuckle. As he does, however, you receive a single flash of insight. In a moment, he’ll go fully through the doorway, and vanish. You have to act now, or you’ll lose him! “No matter what I say, he won’t hear it anymore. Farewell, Sai-“

With no time to wait you raise the right hand to your forehead, and using your Instant Transmission you teleport just behind the wormlike creature. Before it knows what’s happened you shove it into the room, the weakling falling face-first into the puddle of blood.

“You’re not going anywhere.” you tell the being, crossing your arms and looking down on him. “And now, you’re gonna tell me everything I want to know.”

>>4315315
Heh.
>>
>>4315321
Not a 100% guaranteed failure

Emerald Oozaru isn't a guaranteed loss of control?!
Hot damn, I thought we'd be locked behind needing nat 100's to train it successfully till we were way stronger!
>>
>>4315435
It's not about stronger when it comes to controlling oozaru, you know
raw power won't help nearly as much as mental fortitude
>>
>>4315435
I assume the DC for actually gaining limited control of Emerald Oozaru as we are now is 90+, not accounting for current level of Berserk mastery or outside factors at the time of the transformation such as fatigue, remaining energy, or emotional stimuli.
On that note, it might be a good idea to transform into Emerald Oozaru directly from Berserk right after expending any energy we don't need to actually maintain the transformation.
Excess energy always makes the Berserk transformations a bitch to handle, so we should try to mitigate that as much as possible so we can actually focus on reigning in the Oozaru part as well.
Sith meditations on properly focusing our negative emotions and controlling our power also feel like they'd be worthwhile, But I don't know if GD would let Dark Side and Berserk synergize to that extent.
>>
>>4315437
Base powerlevel still matters somewhat. Higher level transformation are a lot rougher on the body if you can't physically handle them, and they also seem to be passively easier to maintain the stronger somebody is in base form. At least that's what I gather from how GD's described transformations before.
>>
>>4315438
I mean, we were told a while ago that if we go Emerald Oozaru from Legendary Super Saiyan it'd be weaker at the start and easier to control, dunno if that's still true.
>>
>>4315442
I feel like asking for clarification at this point is kinda meta-gaming, so we may as well just brainstorm and hope for the best when the time comes to train for it.
>>
>>4315445
Fair, it's something to try though, maybe the DC for initial control when it's Berserk E.Oozaru is 95 and Legendary is 90, or some shit.
>>
>>4315446
We might as well send the troops we have home after this and call Frieza down. This is an enemy planet of no value to us, rather, its existence hinders the prosperity of the PTO due to being a vantage point that overlooks the Saiyan sector of the galaxy. So we can Emerald Oozaru out and have Frieza stop us if we fail to control it. Remember, even if we go Primal Berserk right now we still wouldnt have a chance against his full might.

“Wh-What?” the worm says, looking down into the blood. “What happened?”
“Easy, I kept you from leaving.” you say, the San’Shyuum rolling over and turning to you, shocked. “You’re not leaving until I get some answers.”
“How?” he asks you, still clearly in shock. “How did you do that?”
“Instant Transmission.” you reply. “It’s a rather effective method of getting around. Now, as for you. How do you disappear like that? First on my ship, and now here?”
“I-I-I was blessed.” he stammers, nervously backing up. “The gods chose me, and bestowed this Blessing to serve their grand design.”
“Blessing?” you wonder, then it hits you! Focusing you call forth your Stand, Divine Dragon Force bellowing angrily. “You mean like this, right?”

“The R-Red Dragon of H-Heresy.” he says, clearly frightened. But as he stammers Dragon Force turns so one eye sees you and the other the user, speaking to you.
“Be wary of this one.” Dragon Force says at a low grumble. “His power may even exceed my own.”
“Are you sure?” you ask it, also speaking low. “He’s so weak I could break this guy with one hand.”
“Do not underestimate him.” your Stand replies, deadly serious. “If he gains the upper hand, we must retreat. Or perish.”
“Are you...Are you actually speaking with a Divine One? And it speaks back to you?” he asks, moving a bit closer. His actions do not rest well with Dragon Force, your Stand actually baring and snapping it’s teeth at him.

“Take another step, and I’ll take your life.” Dragon Force orders, the worm freezing in place. His eyes widen in surprise, clearly shocked he both heard and understood your Stand.
“So it is true.” rhe worm says, obeying your Stand’s command. “The legends were true, the Heretic indeed speaks.”
“Wait, legend?” you ask, not following. “The hell are you babbling on about?”
“When the Heretic speaks, the time of the Great Journey is nigh.” the San’Shyuum says, scooting back apprehensively. “Our Ascension is nearly upon us, I must inform my brothers! Open for me,「DEATH’S DOOR」!”

As he says this, a rectangle of bones and course black cloth the size of a door appears on the ground the worm beginning to sink through it!

“Oh no you don’t!” you shout, firing your Eye Beams at the retreating worm. Both shots take him through the chest, the San’Shyuum gasping in surprise.
“Gah!” he cries out in pain as he slips down through the doorway. As he goes through you can no longer sense his ki, rushing over and looking through the doorway. Peering close you can see the worm laying on grey sand, blood pouring from his chest wounds as he forces himself upright. After a moment you notice he’s not the same, his colors and even that of his blood are all in different shades of grey. You’re not letting him get away that easily, gathering your ki and again firing. But as your energy passes through the doorway, the oddest thing happens. Your energy begins breaking apart, traveling less than a foot through that strange dimension before disappearing.

“You lose.” he mouths, waving before turning from you and walking away.
“Dammit.” you say, seriously tempted to go after him. But something about this isn’t right, it feels like a trap.
“You grow wiser.” Bane says, the Sith spectre appearing beside you. “Had he wanted to escape, he would have shut that doorway immediately. Wise of you to not pursue.”
“I should’ve taken him out with that shot.” you mutter to yourself, shaking your head. Since you’re not walking into the trap, you instead return to your objective and refocus your ki sense. Finding the last of the Covenant forces you make your way to them, kicking down the door to their final stand.

“Fire! FIRE!!” a panicked Kig-Yar orders, a dozen or so Covenant weapons firing at you. Activating your Barrier you rush in, actually dodging the pink crystals one is firing as they pierce straight through the shield. But this final resistance is nothing to you, dispatching each of the remaining soldiers with a single strike each. And as the last one falls, missing it’s head where you’d simply crushed it, silence reigns.
“And that’s the last of them.” you say with a sigh, reaching up and opening your scouter’s comms. “Alright, that’s the last of them. Go ahead and take the Power Balls down while I report in.”

That done you close the comm channel, focusing your mind and reaching out to Lord Freeza.

“It’s done, this planet’s clear.” you tell him telepathically. “We’ll be ready to head back shortly.”
“Excellent. Although...” Freeza replies, with a bit of hesitation. “I’m getting the reports of your team’s status now, only two Saiyans were injured?”
“That’s all.” you reply, then clarify. “I don’t know how the Jiralhanae fared, but Tiveus himself was injured and is back on the Lucrehulk.”
“I see.” he replies. “Well, you can certainly return. Or, you can press forward. From where you are now, it will be a two day journey to the next set of planets, Ju’Kahn and Navlan.

“We’re still ready to go.” you reply after a moment’s thought. “I’ll go attack Navlan by myself, and send my students to Ju’Kahn. If we don’t hit both planets at the same time, our forces could get hit on both sides. So we’ll handle both.”
“Are you sure your men are up to it?” he asks, then seems to think better of it. “No, you know your students well. I’m sure they’ll handle themselves well. But what of the Jiralhanae?”
“I’d say they’re yours to command, not mine.” you reply. “I haven’t given them any orders in this battle after all.”
“Very well then, send them back up to the Lucrehulk.” Freeza says to you. “And once you and your people have conquered these next planets, report back in. I’m still awaiting from both the Ginyu Force and King Vegeta, they must have met stiffer resistance than expected.”

“Alright. If you hear anything from them, let me know.” you reply, then end the communication. Mission accomplished, you make your way back outside the fortress and return to the Attack Pods and yaddress your men. “Look alive everyone! We have our next assignment! We have two seperate targets, one is a military factory, and the other is a hidden fleet waiting to attack. So here is where we’ll split up!”

As you say this, many of Saiyans gathered begin murmuring amongst themselves, not knowing what you mean. But with a gesture you silence them, and continue speaking.

“With the enemy spread before us as they are, I have to rely on you all to handle the hidden fleet. Ju’Kahn is a stormy, aquatic world, so you’ll have to leave the pods in atmosphere then go down to the planet.”
“Wait, all of us?” Tucas, an older Saiyan asks. “What about you?”
“I’m going to the base on Navlan.” you tell them. “With their defenses as strong as they are, we won’t be able to bring our Attack Pods anywhere close. Anyone approaching will be attacked from space, long before they can touch down. So I’ll be going by myself, using Instant Transmission to make it planetside. Anyways, once you’ve accomplished your objectives and wiped out that fleet, report back. Any questions?”

There’s a moment of silence, no one objecting.

“Alright then, let’s go.” you say. “Everyone, set your pods’ destination for Ju’Kahn! I’ll see you all on the other side. And if I finish my mission before you all do, your training will be hell when you get back! Understood?”
“SIR!!” they all shout, saluting you as one. You return the salute, everyone getting in their pods and taking off. You set the coordinates for Navlan that’d been sent to your scouter, your Attack Pod flying into the void of space. Your team took no casualties, the first mission was a success. Now to press on, and end the Covenant once and for all!

Of all the canon techniques in dragonball, which SINGULAR technique would Karn struggle the most against, in your personal opinions?

>>4319097
He wouldn’t struggle the MOST against it. Because he’s been hit much harder in other timelines, like by a jealous Mira.
>>
>>4319215
Arale, being a gag character, is stronger than any force in any universe so long as it would be "funny".

At a certain point of power dodging the Devilmite beam is child's play. Because you're moving at the speed of light cubed and Devilman is a wimp. A crybaby even.
>>
>>4319565
She cannot defeat Tori-Bot. Also, her attacks didn’t actually hurt Vegeta, he just got blown away by them. Now her N’Cha Cannon, on the other hand. That would be devastating. And the question was about what technique, not which character. Close second on technique would doubtlessly be one of Roshi’s moves, either the Sleepy Boy Technique or Thunder Shock Surprise Attack. Ignoring defenses is the name of the game, go straight for their weaker points
>>
>>4319595
>She cannot defeat Tori-Bot.
Perhaps, but the producers and editors sure can. Also kind of unfair to let any hypothetical character use a signature and unique technique no one else ever seemed to be able to do. Unlike the Kamehameha wave. Which is honestly just a generic beam attack, but blue. Or pink
Real shit the hardest thing to deal with for Karn is just the classic "lol bye planet" without a dumbass timer attached. If there were no PLs to IT to he'd kinda just die.

Then again baby Broly managed to make a barrier with a hole in his chest and fly through space far enough to find somewhere livable with his dad. So I dunno. DB is so fucking inconsistent.
>>
>>4319595
How fucked would the universe be if Baby possessed Karn?
>>
>>4319669
Tori-Bot has many strange and powerful beings behind the control levers. But yes, being mortal has weaknesses.
>>4320647
That would depend on a few factors, such as time travelers. But if Baby was strong enough, right now, to possess Karn, the universe would fall. Karn’s willpower is stronger than Freeza’s, so if Baby overpowers him it’s basically over. Unless Raven, Chilli, or Ubo could free him.

Depends on what you’re aiming to accomplish with the drain. But one of the most consistently powerful is actually Cell’s. Drinking someone adds their power to your own permanently, and in some timelines Cell’s gone on to devoure entire worlds.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 133 Epilogue-

AGE 749, UNNAMED HIVE WORLD ORBIT

“This is going too well.” you mutter to yourself, checking the campaign’s progress. So far there’s been no real resistance, aside from the mechanical terrors lurking beneath the surface on that very first Hive world. You are General Tanya Degurechaff, once reborn by Being X and now, through your own hard work and strategic mind, are the commanding officer of Dreadzone’s entire military. Even Chaya, Dreadzone’s reigning Super Saiyan champion follows your orders despite technically outranking you: a habit you’ve been certain to continually reinforce. “I don’t like it.”

“General?” Lieutenant Viktoriya Serebryakov, aka Visha asks you. As your most trusted assistant she’s almost always by your side, even fighting alongside you through most of your most hellish battles, including the one where you earned you your nickname ‘The Devil of the Rhine’. But you’ve slaughtered your way through enough warzones to know something’s wrong. For the past few months now the Dreadzone forces you lead have been on a relentless assault, setting a pace even the PTO’s Saiyan army would be jealous of. But every instinct you have screams that your army is swiftly moving right into an enemy trap. “Is something wrong?”
“Tell me something Visha.” you say, gesturing to the three-dimensional starmap displayed before you both in the command room. “What do you see?”
“The planets we’ve conquered, and those still to go?” she asks curiously, you stifling a sigh. She’s a good soldier, but isn’t a strategist. Simple orders and surviving a battlefield are what she’s good at, better to get someone smarter here to help you with this. And you know just the Saiyan. “Is there something off about the map?”
“Could you call Chilli here please, if he’s available?” you ask her, Visha nodding and moving to the comm station as you keep peering at the map. Judging by distances, territories claimed, and the estimated size of the Hive’s sphere of influence, your attack has easily penetrated more than a quarter of their defenses between you all and the Hive’s rumored homeworld. Surely they’d have attempted a counterattack by now?

But your ponderings are interrupted as a dark void of nothingness appears between you and Visha. A moment later the darkness recedes, disappearing inside the hand of a young Saiyan boy who closes his fist around it. Despite his youth and being only around your height, he’s built like the statues of your first homeworld and carries himself well, like a man burdened by knowledge great and terrible. Which immediately cracks, Chilli’s enthusiasm over perfecting his technique betraying his age.

“Ha! I did it right again!” he says triumphantly, pumping a fist in excitement. After a moment he notices you watching, and tries to compose himself with the Saiyans’ across the chest salute. “Ah, right. Sorry. Specialist Chilli reporting in, General Degurechaff.”
“At ease.” you reply with a wave. Despite his rather chunnibyou tendencies, which he gets from that girl, Megumin, Chilli is a smart fighter, and rather gifted strategist as well. With him always training either his body, pushing himself physically or working on his mind and magical prowess, you have a feeling that with him backing you, the two of you may even one day battle the pretentious force known by you as ‘Being X’. But those dreams will have to wait, you have more pressing concerns. “Tell me: how have your battles been progressing?”

“Progressing? Not really I suppose.” he says, clearly not sure where you’re going with this but trusting your judgment. “They’ve all fought the same so far, not trying any new tricks or sending any special Hivelings our way. Dad an’ Mom told me some of what they could do back when they fought them, and did you know they tried to invade Planet Vegeta? But yeah, it’s wierd isn’t it? If you want to stop someone and your usual strategy doesn’t work, you don’t just keep doing it. So why are they?”
“Exactly what I’ve been pondering.” you tell him, gesturing to the starmap. “Tell me, what do you see?”
“Hrmmm.” he says, hand to his chin. He clearly knows something’s up, looking intently at the map. But after staring at it unblinkingly at it for a half minute, you suddenly see his eyes widen in surprise. He then turns to you, face full of fear. “We need to pull back, and get everyone out of here. Right now.”

“What?” Visha asks, looking between you both. “What is it?”
“It’s an ambush.” you both say together. And as you do, suddenly an alarm rings out. Chilli, not having the years of experience you do jumps at the noise. But you’re already moving, rushing to the controls and switching the display. Instead of the star systems of this entire campain you switch it to the radar, your worst fears confirmed. Not only are you under attack, but you’re surrounded.
“What do we do, General?” Visha asks you, her reverse-engineered Dreadzone Beam Rifle already at hand.
“Do?” you reply with a bloodlusty grin, drawing your own heavy chainsaw-bayoneted rifle. “We fight.”

BOOM

“What was-?” Chilli asks, when he’s suddenly interrupted.

BOOM BOOM

“Three confirmed hits to the starboard side.” one of the mechanical pilot’s voices calls over the comms. “Three unidentified energy signatures detected.”
“Dammit.” you snarl, spending a moment focusing your mind. Channeling your magical energy into the gem around your neck, you begin muttering a prayer. That bastard, Being X, cursed your Elenium Type 95 Operational Orb. Sure, with it’s quad-core design it’s output is unmatched, even compared to the later model dual core Type 97’s, but you’ve noticed some unfortunate side effects. The most damaging of which seems to be a form of memory loss, many events of your life you can no longer recall. But the most irking problem is that you have to say a prayer to that bastard to use it. “Oh lord, let my eyes find your foes, and my sword end their lives.”

“Huh?” Chilli asks, you ignoring him and grabbing your Dreadzone scouter. Opening the comms, you address everyone on the ship.
“All hands, battle stations!” you order. “Enemy combatants have boarded, stay at your posts and defend your stations. I’m on the move.”

That said you close open comms, switching to your private channel for your own mechanical soldiers.

“Search and destroy, groups of no less than four.” you order. “Send the signal when contact is made, and I’ll join you. Move out.”
“General?” Visha asks nervously, you glancing to her then following her gaze. You turn, seeing an unfamiliar sight in the door: the Hive are already here!
“Well well, what have we here?” a tall, clearly-female Hive creature says as it walks into the room. Unlike most Hive beings whose exoskeletons are made entirely of that odd chitinous material, this one has more humanoid, fleshy bits. Almost as if it’s a conglomerate being, made of parts of both types of creatures, it seems even more unnatural than the others.

“Stay back.” Chilli orders, the magical crystal blade springing forth from his ancient weapon. “Or meet your end at my sword.”
“You cannot-“ it starts, but you’ve heard enough. Pulling the trigger in short bursts, you unleash two dozen shots in under two seconds. Visha fires her weapon as well, but instead of a burst of lead her weapon is energy-based, firing a directed beam of accelerated, ionized hydrogen particles. Your foe refuses to simply stand still and take the hits, however, flippin in midair and latching onto the ceiling with it’s claws then pushing off to the opposite wall. “Hmph. Insolent whelps. But you shall make excellent hosts.”

“HOLD!” Chilli shouts, stepping in to raise a hand and gesturing for you both to cease fire. You do so reluctantly, but don’t avert your aim. That bitch so much as twitches wrong, you’re firing again. But Chilli’s magic is far more versatile than your own, if he’s planning something in that brain of his you’ll back it up. “You’re different than the others we’ve fought. What are you?”
“An, interesting choice of words.” this Hive female replies, smirking smugly. “Unlike the others of my kind you’ve fought before, me and my sisters were created by the Queen herself.”
“So there’s more of you?” Visha asks, you shooting a glare at her that wordlessly conveys “Shut-The-Hell-Up-Right-Now”. Getting the message she shuts her mouth, but the damage is already done. You doubt he’ll be able to get much more information out of this thing before she attacks again.

“If you were created, that means you have a purpose.” he says, putting his dagger away and stepping towards her. Which you think is extremely dangerous, the creature’s tail twitching much like a cat’s in what could be excitement. “And if your goal was to kill us, you wouldn’t be here talking. So why are you here?”
“It’s simple really. You.” she says, baring her fangs in a mad facsimile of a smile that radiates malice. “Your blood has your father’s scent. My queen wants your father’s blood, to sire even stronger children and spread across the stars.”
“She needs my blood?” Chilli asks, still acting calm. But you can see sweat beading up on the back of his neck, this monster has one of the most dangerous warriors of this campaign nervous. But he plays it well, doing an excelleng job of controlling his voice and hiding his fear to gather information. “And not the rest of me?”

“No, you don’t get to die.” she replies, somehow smiling even wider and creepier. “Not yet. I’ll be taking you to meet with the queen herself. Alive.”
“Oh really?” he asks, and with a blinding flash of light transforms. Hair now golden and standing tall, you can almost feel the energy radiating off of him. “And what if I refuse?”
“You poor thing.” it croons softly, while a pair of long, chitinous blades shoot out from it’s forearms. “Your compliance isn’t needed.”
“I’ll be seeing your queen soon enough, but it won’t be alone.” Chilli replies, then telepathically to says “Fire.”

Wordlessly you comply, firing a controlled burst at the creature. It tries to leap away, only to discover what you already knew: Chilli’d frozen it’s feet to the ground! You’d felt him utilize the flashy transformation to already begin his assault, locking his opponent to the floor and already gaining the upper hand. Caught by surprise it has no choice but to try and defend, curling up and hiding it’s body behind it’s shield-like head.

The thick plates of it’s armored head absorb the damage you and Visha toss out, your bullets leaving tiny holes as her beams leave large scorched areas, but these weapons simply don’t have the power to outright kill this thing. But you can tell the boy’d already deduced that, a massive amount of magical power welling up from within him. But yours and Visha’s shots are spilling the Hive assassin’s acidic blood, it dripping onto Chilli’s ice and weakening it.

“SHAAA!!” the creature shouts, exploding from it’s frozen prison and launchig itself at you all.
“Brace yourselves.” Chilli thinks to you, as he releases his magic power. “Dark Magic: Black Hole.”

As he releases his magical energy, you watch as a small black dot appears between him and the Hive being. Caught by surprise, the beast is instantly pulled to, and into]/i] that dot. You watch in morbid fascination as the being’s body is shattered, pulled into that well of infinity. But it doesn’t only affect that beast, everything and everyone is pulled towards it as well. And despite bracing yourself, shielding yourself in a magical barrier, you’re pulled right off your feet and towards it as well. But Chilli was ready, ending the spell after the upper half of the beast is consumed. The lower half of it’s body flops lifelessly to the ground, you breathing a sigh of relief. It’s really dead.

“SHIT!” Chilli shouts, dropping to his hands and knees as he ends the spell. His breathing is ragged, that spell clearly having taken a lot out of him. Visha immediately rushes to his side, laying a hand on his back and asking if he’s alright. “Yeah, yeah. I’m fine.”
“You’re clearly not fine.” you say harshly, walking over and peering down at him. Once you’re over him you soften your voice, catching him by surprise. “Stop acting like that wasn’t an enormous effort. Take a few minutes and catch your breath.”
“We don’t have a minute!” he says pantingly, the panic in your voice worrying you. Looking up, you see another pair of those creatures casually walking through the doorway.

“DAMMIT!” you snarl, dropping your rifle to the ground and drawing your final ace in the hole. Working with several Dreadzone weapon engineers and their stockpile of confiscated Covenant weapons during the trip, you had helped develop an unbelievably powerful secret weapon. And with you backed into a corner like this, you have no choice but to test it out here and now. So you draw the weapon from it’s scabbard on your back, bringing the wood-stocked rifle to your shoulder and sighting in both enemies. “Freeze.”
“We-“ it starts, you not hesitating and pulling the trigger.

KABOOM

And everything goes white.

Honestly they should have known an ambush was coming. *Smh* Though we should have warned our kids about the Hives Bitches.
>>
>>4322902
Probably should’ve. The only one of your kids who stands a chance in a stand-up fight with one is Broly, and that’s if he goes all-out. Chilli knew he was way outclassed physically, which is why he went for his unstoppable ultimate magical attack.
