You are Magnus Faxerus, Sith boy toy to a Dark Council member and all-around sane man surrounded by insanity.

It wasn't exactly clear what'd be down in the real tombs of Tulak Hord, but you knew it would be something that would almost certainly try to kill you. Nox's insanity has rubbed off on you at this point, inevitable with her constantly fucking you in body and mind. Good thing she values you for that fucking to the point her favorite alien bodyguard from a long dead race of force eaters tagged along with you on this little trip.

Maybe if you weren't surrounded by animated, hostile statues made of Sith Alchemy you could have a pleasant conversation where he could speak to you as if you were a human being instead of a gigilo slave.

>[X] "Let's handle yours first!"
>Ataru Opening Strike (Can only be picked once and in this round)
>Shii-Cho Sweeping Slash
>Force Reinforcement

As your house's founding ancestor once said, divide and conquer. You won't be able to survive these homunculi divided, ironically, as you are now. Khem could kill them all with little wounds, but you don't want to come back to your mistress' bed having damaged her other favorite toy. Your in for it either way, knowing her.

"Let's handle yours first!"

Khem's throat growls its guttural agreement.

You hopturn towards the other group of statues by your ally and breathe, reinforcing yourself with the infinite power of the Force.

The Hawk-Bat Swoop is quite possibly the deadliest Lightsaber form maneuvers ever. A surprise leaping attack to either the neck or head with a firm stick, much less a lightsaber with a reinforced arm swinging it, would kill anyone unprepared for it. You doubt the sweeping attack will do much with training sabers being as they are, but it will at least force them back.

You bend your knees, shattering the ground beneath your feet, and spring towards the nearest alchemical statue.

It raises its Sith warblade too late to block your strike from shattering its head free of its body.

A grunt escapes your lips as you shift to Shii-cho, spinning with the momentum of your swoop to sweep slash the two other statues.

While they recoil, Khem steps forward and takes the opportunity to cleave them in half through the lines you made on them with his massive vibroblade. "Rest with master, servants of alchemy."

"Khem!" You turn back to face the remaining statues mid-attack.

It was inevitable they'd try to flank you, but at least you got them to just exploiting an opening.

>[ ] Force pull the holocron of Tulak Hord to you, this entire complex might collapse or something if the statues can't take you two.

You're not going to let him get hurt on your watch. Nox would never let you hear the end of it. Even if you didn't, you'd probably never hear the end of it either. This is more for your own peace of mind before she violates it again. It'll hurt but you're used to pain of almost unfathomable magnitudes.

Like the manly man of men you are, you jump in the way of the statues' attacks.

Heat and force carve through the layers of your cortosis-weaved clothing, reddening the top ones of your skin.

The statue to your left receives a brutal reprisal as you swing the tip of training saber right through its throat.

You make the greatest mistake a 'rapid-fire' form user could ever do and stop partway through to ready your arm for a strong yet slow blow.

Middle Stoneman sees your attack coming, swiping his warblade across your unprotected wrists.

Grunting, you hop back and channel the force before pushing yourself sending yourself back in your anger haste. You fly through the air and through a good few statues until you thump against the stone ground of the tomb. The only thing to escape your lips is a long, frustrated yell.

Two sundering smashes resound through the tomb followed by heavy steps culminating in Khem standing over you. "Master's concubine is sloppy."

"...You caught me on a bad day."

"Excuses are beneath a Sith."

"...Do you ever get that feeling when you're very skilled at something but get into an encounter that shows you that there's still a lot for you to learn?"

"Never."

A sigh seeps out your lips.

You're feeling that a lot right now.

>[ ] "Seriously, why statues? Sith Alchemy could've made some sort of cortosis giant in the shape of Tulak Hord to kill all intruders."
>[ ] "Let's get the hell out of here before even more of these guys wake up."

Everything about their aesthetic is all over the place. For some strange reason, they have brainy-looking heads with no eyes, no armor beyond their stony-like 'flesh,' are in the shape of a man, and wield electronic warblades instead of alchemical ones. It's like they had three different designers that were all equally shortsighted.

"Seriously, why statues? Sith Alchemy could've made some sort of cortosis giant in the shape of Tulak Hord to kill all intruders."

Khem snorts. "That would've dishonored the master."

"I don't see how: he was an absolute beast who destroyed everyone he considered a combatant of war."

"Yes, an alchemical being in his likeness would've been degrading for that reason. The suggestion makes me want to bite out your throat in his honor."

You blink. "...Our relationship needs some work, big guy. I get the distinct feeling we'll be around each other a lot."

"Master's concubine states the obvious, being master's concubine."

A sigh escapes your lips followed by a groan as you stand your aching body back up. While a couple of minutes pass from the array of statues to the coffin, it feels a lot like hours to your sorry sore ass. You pick up the holocron and hold it close to your chest.
>>

"Good, understand and protect its unfathomable greatness."

Rolling your eyes, you start walking down the steps of Tulak Hord's resting place. "Let's get the hell out of here before even more of these guys wake up."

"That is the obvious and wisest thing to do yes." The big guy wraps an arm around your back and lifts you as he leaps down from the steps to the floor, drawing a cry out from your lips. "Your stupidly self-inflicted wounds will slow us down. This is better. I will prevent you from being hurt to the point you can no longer service master."

You shoot him a look before cringing when you start dashing through the tomb.

Khem takes you from Tulak's burial chamber all the way back to your now awake mistress' office and lets you down.

"What the bloody hell happened to you?" Nox raises an eyebrow at her alien servant. "Khem, explain."

"Master, he did it to himself."

Another groan escapes your lips.

Now is not the time for this, you've got a holocron from Tulak Hord to learn from.

May as well be honest and get it out of the way. It's not like Khem can deny it or be offended by your selfless sacrifice. Bringing up or running away with the holocron can wait until after you explain yourself. You'd be very rude if you just jumped to it, and Nox doesn't like it when you're being rude.

"One of Hord's super statues got me while I was protecting Khem."

Your dear mistress turns her eyes to your direction. "Oh Magnus, you played bodyguard for mine?"

"He foolishly jumped into several enemies' attacks before sending himself through several alchemical statues with telekinesis."

"I was defending you!" Blinking, you groan. "...That last bit was an accident."

"Sounds like quite the accident." Nox giggles.

"Well, I... I was... Things were..."

"Nothing can explain or excuse your monumental failure."

The Dark Council member's giggling transforms into full blown laughter.

You shrink as you lament your colossal fuck up.

Without a doubt, that was the biggest malfunction of ability in your enire life. You are almost always an efficient, effective duelist. What went down in that cave was neither efficient nor effective on your end whatsoever. The first takedowns and strikes were decent enough, but by the Force you dropped the ball momentously in your final ones.

"Aww, you're so cute when you're embarassed and brooding."

You groan before looking away from your lover's soft smiling face.

There is almost nothing that can make you feel better about this.

This will get both of them off your ass for the next couple of seconds. Nox won't forbid you from borrowing what you rightfully recovered from the tombs, considering she said so in your mind when you brought it up to her. It will be in her possession when it isn't in yours from here on out though.

"...I brought you a gift." You hold out the holocron in your dusted hands.

"You brought me too presents: a priceless holocron and your cute misery! That's a good boy, Magnus." Her lips part to reveal smiling teeth. "I should reward you... in every way I can."

"Please don't. I'm not in the mood."

"When are you ever?"

"I'm pretty sure you know it's when I'm unconscious."

Nox laughs. "True, you are rather lively when closest to being dead." She looks down from your face to the treasure. "Have you used it yet?"

You shake your head. "I just picked it out of Hord's sarcophagus."

"Ooh, so it's a fresh personality recording. What fun one could have being the first to greet old holographic Hord. It'd be very fun to tell him my last name, I know that for sure."

Khem kneels. "Master, I understand the holocron contains a technological phantom of my master, but please do not taunt him so."

"I don't know whether to shock you or hug you for being a sentimental big lug, Khem."

"An embrace would be preferable, though I can take and understand the pain of your force lightning as your affection."

"Oh Khem, you're just so adorable."

You roll your eyes.

This is what you get for getting involved with your father's 'rival.'

>[X] "I'm going to go and learn from this now, if that's okay with you."

You've got a lot of training to do so something like what happened in the tombs never happens again. Even if it's just for a couple of hours, you can learn a lot from the Master of the Gathering Darkness' teachings. So long as you get something from this whole experience, you'll be fine.

"I'm going to go and learn from this now, if that's okay with you."

Nox nods. "So long as you know who you both belong to."

"Pretty sure you imprinted that on my subconscious."

"Huh, noticed that, have you?"

Blinking, you take a few steps back. "I'm going to go now."

"You just said that a couple of seconds ago."

"I don't think I needed to specify 'away from you' in that second one." You turn to the exit and start walking. "I'll be back in your bed soon enough."

Your mistress purrs as you exit her office.

It doesn't take long for you to make your way through the academy on your own two feat and out into the sands of Korriban far from any prying eyes.

Groaning, you sit down and look down at the holocron still in your hands. "Tulak Hord, I'm in need of your wisdom."

The data pyramid glows as a holoimage of Tulak projects itself before you. "This is the first time this holocron has ever been used and several thousand years after my recording no less. Who has the honor of learning from me, the Master of the Gathering Darkness?"

"Magnus Faxerus." You bow your head.

"Who are you?"

"Son of Caeles Faxerus of the Faxerus family founded by Faxerus Ra—"

"Names are irrelevant." The holocron image stated in a low-pitched tone. "Who are you?"

"...A Sith warrior."

"Are you? I see a boy who has yet to find his true calling. Blood or wisdom, child? Blood or wisdom?"

You raise an eyebrow.

As usual, experienced Sith are vague and never fully explain anything they ask or say without enough prodding.

>[X] "I drown in one and seek the other."

Good and vague an answer as any to say to an ancient Jen'ari. It's partly the truth and partly a lie: half-truths are how intelligent Sith manipulate other people, so he should be pleased. He may be honorable but even they among your kind understand the need for skulduggery every one in a while.

"I drown in one and seek the other."

It lifts his projected hand underneath his chin. "Clever answer. Foolish when given to a master however. You seek power, regardless of blood or wisdom, as all Sith do. I have more than enough to offer. The question is if you're willing to learn."

"Yes, I'm ready to do what I must."

"Is it that or what you wish? Far too many mistake their wishes for their musts in this life. It is a foolish and naive delusion."

Tilting your head, you stare at the helmet of the old Dark Lord. "Both what I wish and must: I am undergoing trials and have powerful enemies in my future."

"Good. Never mistake one for the other lest you lose yourself and your life to misguidedness." His focus turns down to your wrists. "A potentially crippling blow. Either you are in desperate need for a teacher or challenged a master."

A groan escapes your lips. "The latter and that's why I retrieved you from your formerly living self's tomb."

"What do you know of duelist forms?

"I'm an expert in Juyo and Shii-cho, advanced in Ataru, and have a basic knowledge of Niman and Makashi."

"Ah, a Juyo practitioner too slow to slaughter his enemies before they wound him. What a rare sight. You are fortunate to have found my holocron to teach you more."

You twitch and hum.

The only other thing you're really greatful for right now is that your father will never hear of the great shame you suffered.

As usual, you've got a lot of questions to ask to beacons of knowledge. They're never answered as in depth as you want them to be, but that's part of the journey of a learning force user. Least Hord seems far more direct in comparison to the other Sith in your life, with the exception of your father.

"How did you use Juyo?"

"Like every other form, I took what worked and discarded what did not."

You raise an eyebrow. "Are there any merits worthy of investigation in the other forms?"

"Of course there are. How can you master Juyo if you cannot master any other style? Learn what you will from them all and discard them, even your precious Juyo. Only then will you truly be a master."

A hum chimes in your throat.

He was the supreme master of lightsaber dueling in life. Your father could've maybe stood against him for a while but would still lose in the end. The Jen'ari and Sith of old were lightyears above what you are now. It took infighting for you to fall and degrade into this shadow of what you once were. Maybe you can stop that from happening again. Most of what remains of the old holocrons were taken or destroyed by the Jedi when they genocided your people, but this one still exists.

"Sith Sorcery has been all but forgotten for the past millenia. I would be grateful for whatever you could teach."

"Truly? I despised my kind's reliance on the arts, but I did not wish for us to completely forget them."

"We know some of alchemy but nothing anywhere close to the ancient levels of skill. I can permanently transmute matter at the moment."

Tulak Holocron nods. "Then we must begin your training immediately. I'll let you choose which subject you practice first as a courtesy. Sorcery, force powers, dueling, or alchemy?"

You smile.

Now this is what you've been waiting for.

>[X] "Dueling."

Never fucking up on the level you did back in the tomb is your foremost goal right now. It's also the most obvious choice to pick when this holocron is Tulak 'I duel entire armies of Jedi and win' Hord. You could learn more from him than you could your father. Nox hardly compares to him either.

"Dueling."

"A wise choice I predicted you'd make. Those wounds to your wrists say enough about your current skill. Your survival is worthy of praise however, seeing as how you endured what would make an average Sith drop his saber."

You bow your head again. "That's high praise coming from you."

"Nonsense: It's praise that you are due. Moving on, I can teach you lightsaber forms you don't know, help you master the ones you already do, or how to fight without form at all."

"What?" Raising your head, your eyebrow rises.

"Can you tell me what the greatest dueling form is?"

"It depends on the situation." You tilt your head from side to side. "But I'd have to pick Juyo."

Tulak Holocron raises a finger. "You had it somewhat right the first time: the best form doesn't depend on the situation, but is in actuality performing the correct attack or maneuver at the right time. It is adapting to any situation you may encounter. Shii-cho, Makashi, Soresu, Ataru, Shien, Niman, and Juyo are all far too stifling. They each put you in a frame of mind where you must attack a certain way or use certain maneuvers. Transitioning from one to the other is never smooth. The best form is no form."

"Yet you mastered them all."

"So I could discard them." Holak Hord begins pacing in he air. "You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water into a skin, it becomes the skin. When you pour water into a clay urn, it becomes the urn. When you pour water into a bowl, it becomes the bowl. Become like water and go even further beyond until you're vapor, until you're air, and until you're light."

A hum murmurs in your throat. "That sounds unfathomably difficult, but I can try."

"There is no try: you do or you die."

"The Sith way at its core." You sigh.

Technolak Holord nods.

Clearing your throat, you steel your gaze.

It's do or die time, as always.

>[X] "I've been so much about attack, I've been neglecting my defense. Shouldn't I learn Soresu before I go 'formless?'"

Lot of ingredients make a fine soup. You, however, are overwhelmingly the robust kind of meat. Sure, you're tasty and filling, but you don't really have as much nutrients as a vegetable. Many people prefer taste over nutrients, such as your meaty self. That's something this horribly out of hand soup metaphor for formlessness is lacking

"I've been so much about attack, I've been neglecting my defense. Shouldn't I learn Soresu before I go 'formless?'"

"No, you should master it and every other form. I can help you with that or hasten your training by jumping to formlessness."

You furrow your brow. "Wouldn't that be insanely difficult?"

"Why do you think I said do or die?"

"It's a figure of speech."

"No." Hord shakes his helmet. "Not in this life or as we are."

Clucking your tongue, you set the holocron down on the sand and sit back. "So what do you recommend I do?"

"Either benefit from my ancient knowledge or master all forms as they never were before like I did within a decade of my life."

"...I don't have a decade."

It nods. "Which means you should do the former rather than the latter."

"That still means I'm likely not going to learn it even if I tried my hardest."

"You're using that word again."

You shake your head and slap your hand against your forehead. "I know, I know, just... I'm not sure what I should do right now." Lowering your hand, you sigh. "I'm not sure about very important things I shouldn't be unsure about at all."

"Solve your inner conflict with hard work. Choose what that is now."

Clucking your tongue, you focus your attention on Tulak Holord.

He's right, now's not the time to be glum about your fuckup, wavering beliefs, and the numerous little plans you have in your head.

When it comes to doing and dying, you prefer doing every time. Giving up or taking the easy way out isn't in your blood or your nature: you take things on by the head. Either you learn this or remain a failure who nearly got crippled by a freaking statue of all things. That's not going to happen ever again.

You steel yourself. "Teach me formlessness."

"Good, my first student as a holocron isn't a coward. Stand up and draw your blade: I will instruct you and you will listen."

Nodding, you stand up before drawing your practice sabers.

"[I]Assume a formless stance."

You clench your saber handles and blink as you relax. "I'm already in one."

"Exactly. At any point when you have both your feet on the ground, you are in a formless stance. You must fight against your instincts to stiffen into the telltale stances of the seven forms. I can tell you make quick short savage strikes. You must learn when to when to strike an overwhelming blow either to break a guard or finish off an enemy."

"So something akin to a Shien slash?"

"Yes but it will not be Shien, it will be a normal strong strike. Let us begin."

A grin spreads across your face as you bob your head once again.

The philosophy is easy enough to understand at first and gradually seeps into your mind like water, the basic form of formlessness you must become. Striking without resorting to any forms is far more difficult in comparison though not below your capabilities. Formlessness is even applicable to your unarmed martial art skills.

You don't how much time passes by, but you could hardly care about that with your progress.

>Special Ability Gained: Advanced Formlessness - +4 Modifier to every attack and maneuver. Cancels Ataru, Juyo, and Makashi bonuses to single dueling up to profiency.

Wiping the sweat from your brow, you collapse the warm sands of Korriban. "Bloody hell, I think I might be able to stand against my father with this."

"You can stand against anyone with it, so long as you're skilled enough. I must say your progress is nothing short of miraculous."

"I know right?" You lift your upper body of the ground. "I royally screwed up twice, but now I'm in the greatest form I've ever been!"

"The Force has a sense of humor."

"Well it can go fuck itself, this is all me!" Plopping yourself back down, you kipup to your feet.

"That also makes your failures yours. Are you ready to continue?"

You scoff.

Of course you are but there are other things you need to attend to.

>[X] "What do you think I should work on?"

You do want to and should improve on everything, but there's only so much time in a day. This holocron already has a decent understanding of where you excel and where you're lacking. He'll know what you should improve on first. It is ultimately your decision though: he is a fancy holographical recording device.

"What do you think I should work on?"

"Everything."

"I meant specifically what I should improve on now while I'm in your company."

"Force use."

You raise an eyebrow. "Explain."

"While I understand the aesthetics in using solely your martial might, you refrain from using Force abilities when possible or even necessary."

"All do respect, you've never seen me in a actual fight, so how would you know that?"

"I've encountered hundreds of training Sith such as yourself in the past. Lack of reliance on the Force is an admirable quality, but neglecting it will put you behind everyone else."

A smile makes its way on to your face. "You have no way of knowing this, but I've already mastered the manipulation of minds through the Force."

"I doubt that though I have little choice but to take your word for it. Still, you must practice using force abilities with your formlessness. If you didn't integrate it, the form truly wouldn't be formless."

You nod and hum.

Mind manipulation is incredibly useful but it's not the not the only Force power out there. You have telekinesis, though you failed on a cosmic scale the last time you tried using it. The other abilities you have either reinforce your martial ones or are too meager to use in combat efficiently. Whatever your decision, so long as you're improving, it's fine.

>(1/2)

Formlessness is fine and dandy, but you snatched Holo Hord from his grave to learn more than just the ultimate combat form. The ancient arts are dying and this is the only hope your kind has to ever relearn what was lost. You're not sure why the Emperor hasn't passed on the art. It's probably too powerful for most of the Sith of today to be trusted with it.

"I need to learn sorcery."

Tulak Holocron raises a hand to his chin. "Tell me, what is alchemy?"

"Altering matter into different states."

"No, you are altering nature itself, the byproduct of the Force. Sorcery is the alteration of the Force itself. You twist what is to what is not for it to be. Curses, enchantments, and charms can be made with sorcery. The laws of reality itself are whims to your tampering."

"...That sounds too good to be true."

"It's not. Only trouble to it is that you will most definitely kill yourself if you attempt something far beyond your capabilities. Too many apprentices were lost in my day due to their foolishness. You won't die so long as you stick to what you know you can do without killing yourself."

"Going to be hard considering I don't know anything right now."

Mini Tulak lowers his hand. "Close your eyes and feel the Force around you."

You obey, focusing on the neverending well of power.
>>
>(2/2)

"It feels formless does it not? That isn't the truth, however. The Force exists in gravity, space-time, and causality. To learn how to manipulate these forces, you must start with yourself as a being. Alter the Force to be more receptive and helpful to you."

"Do you have any idea how insane that sounds?" You tilt your head and raise an eyebrow, eyes still closed.

"Focus on the Force around your being and implant your will on it. It may take hours but it will obey if you are strong enough, focused enough, and intelligent enough to manipulate the ultimate power."

Relaxing your form, you seat yourself down and concentrate.

You don't know how many hours pass until you can finally understand the way the Force regards your being and is connected. Neither attuned to you or accepting, it pass by you like a stone in a river. Almost everything has small holes of some sort: humans have pores as do stones. Like how skin can absorb water, your body absorbs the Force as it can.

>Force Skill Learned: Basic Sith Sorcery - You can alter the functions of the Force in your body's vicinity, boosting your regeneration of force power and augmenting your force powers with a modifier equivalent of your sorcery ability.

A deep breathe brings air into your lungs as you will the wellspring of energy to flow more into your body then past it.

"You've done it. Good job."

You open your eyes to the sun still up yet falling in the sky.

Now if only you could alter time to give you all of it that you could ever need.

>[X] Return to your mistress, she should be waiting for the device.
>[X] Go find the tuk'ata that won the free-for-all, you've got cute powerful tuk'ata pups to breed.

The time you've shared with mini-holographic Tulak has been fun, but all good things must end. Hopefully, your dear mistress won't abuse poor Holo Hord. Khem is too loyal to turn against her, just not loyal enough to Tulak Hord to prevent his holocron recording from being tortured with her insanity. It'd probably amuse her if you stole it back right before she force lightning shocked your testicles.

Standing up, you pick up your shiny technological friend. "I think that's enough for now. Time I took you back to your real owner."

"Do not forget my teachings or that you must practice your formlessness."

"I won't." You tighten your hands around the holocron and begin making your way back to the academy.

About fifteen minutes pass in the time it takes you to go from your secluded desert spot, back to the academy defenses, through the wandering tuk'ata filled academy, and into your lovely insane mistress' office.

"There you are!" Nox coos. "And here I was thinking you'd be playing with your new toy too long to have energy to play with me."

You roll your eyes as you hold out the holocron. "I got what I needed from this for now."

The ancient device levitates from your hand over to her desk. "You shouldn't be too dependent on toys." The Darth caresses the holocron. "In my experience, they don't compare to the real thing, no matter what improvements they have."

Blinking, you turn and walk out the office.

There's the matter of the tuk'ata for you to resolve. To be exact, there's no issue with the cute curious Sith alchemy dogs but you need to see the alpha one who won the battle royal for breeding the mightiest tuk'ata bitch, who is your bitch. He shouldn't be that far now: you can feel him through the force.

You hop down from the third floor to the first, pet a nearby tuk'ata pup, and walk to the kennels.

Inside the animal pet chambers, you see many adorable little alchemy dogs run in circles around the stressed and annoyed caretakers. One large, blood-stained purple-ish tuk'ata sits in the middle, eyes closed to the kennels' chaos.

You raise an eyebrow as it opens its blue eyes.

He's not as big as the bitch, but he looks and feels strong.

I've been having a think all day about how much I want to run a starwars system like this one, but then realising that this one only works so well because it is a /qst/ and would collapse if taken out of this context. Kinda sad.

And because I am a number autist, Turns out that daddy emperors wrath is actually completely invulnerable against blaster fire.
+12 from master form 3 [purely defensive moves + against blasters]
+3 from master form 1 [purely defensive moves]
+4 from master form 5 varients, so possibly +8 [defense against blaster fire]
+6 from master form 6 [purely defensive moves, defending against blaster fire]
If defending against a single target, then Grandmaster form 7 gives another +5.

Then add on Master force re-enforcement for another +4 and you get a total of:
1d20 + 29/33 against a group of blasters going off against you
1d20 + 34/38 against a single target shooting at you.
AND THEN you have force potency which can give an extra +6 to re-enforcement if needs be. So the maximum defense that our dad has is against a single target is 1d20 + 40/44 depending on ruling.

Now if we throw on formless, it just keeps getting higher. Tl;dr, Use force powers on dad.

>[X] "Red Fang, I presume? How was the competition?"
>[X] Use alchemy to check him for crippling recessive genetic imperfections. Only the strongest will survive.
>[X] Oh mighty Queen, come and breed your new mate.

He seems strong enough at first glance to give you the strongest tuk'ata pups there ever was. You're not that familiar with tuk'ata biology, but you can try your best to sense for any defects with alchemy. After that's done, your mighty bitch who ruts can come on over and fuck him however she wants. It'd be good for you to get to know him before that happens.

First things first, however.

You fall down on to the floor and click your tongue against the roof your mouth.

Not a second after, the horde of pups encircle your body before nuzzling themselves against it.

A laugh thrums in your chest as one licks your face.

Quadrupedal beasts genetically engineered by sentients are truly sentients' best friend.

Pierce, you lost to a strong tuk'ata. Be glad you survived.

Not greatest t'akatan alpha.

You don't need to be.

Wanted to be.

A sigh escapes your lips.

Lot of people want to be someone they're not. Now that your dreams have been crushed, you can focus on being the best version of you that you can be. Clinging to a broken dream is for the weak who can't accept the reality.

Remember your words Pierce will.

Nodding, you lift your upper body up to face the awake winner. "Red Fang, I presume? How was the competition?"

Disappointing.

A hum chimes in your throat before you beckon him to you.

The little pups at your feet make way for the prowling giant.

Closing your eyes, you touch the beast's forehead and focus on his alchemically influenced DNA. Another hum rumbles in your throat at the remarkably stable sequences in the acid. You open your eyes and pat the beast on the head.

He's goood enough.

Oh mighty Queen, come and breed your new mate.

Not a second after your thoughts reach the queen bitch's mind, deafened cries seep through the kennel walls. The floors beneath you tremor as a great beast approaches. Your pup caretakers' annoyed groans are replaced with yelps when your mighty bitch jumps into the room.

You lift yourself up, pet the baby pups goodbye, wave to the lucky tuk'ata, and get out before the noise starts.

Still some time left in your day.

You can end this now if you want. None of the trials ahead will be challenging to you unless you make it so. In many ways, the outcome to your academy days on Korriban won't matter unless you make it so.

Simply by going along with all this, you've grown more in a manner of weeks than you have in years however.
>>
>>4313121
The parasitic nature of the sith, to drain the knowledge and skills of their superiors in an attempt to grow more powerful, is largely the reason I'm fine with going along with Nox's odd whims.

Because while yes, it is physical abuse of the most severe kind it is basically the way dad taught us, if I am reading it right.
The only not strictly advantageous means in this relationship is the part where we are a none consenting concubine without much say in the matter. But then if it was anyone but Magnus that wouldn't be all that bad anyway.

Anyway, to get back to the clinical and driven exploitative point, The training to acquire from Nox at this point is force absorption because getting that high makes us largely invulnerable against all but the greatest users of the force.

Meanwhile, we should be training formless and sorcery from the holocron, though perhaps a bit of alchemy could also do us some good. The furthest the sith in modern times have is a dark council member who is manipulating DNA. To beat her to the punch and master it would be SUCH an insult it would be hillarious.....until she tries killing us for it.
>>
>>4313116
Pretty sure, yep
>>
>>4313116
>>4313140
It was more like whoever survived the trials and won against the other survivors became a Sith. Flunkies who survived could be put to work at the academy. Someone died every trial because they are actually pretty fucking dangerous to anyone without some experience in combat or the force.
>>
>>4313145
The trial or the other participants?

And I distinctly recall that there was supply and demand. If a sith lord wanted or needed 4 apprentices, the overseers changed their priorities to match.
Then again, Daddy dearest organised this for some reason so I doubt he wants more than one apprentice. But having some friends on this world when we inevitably come back for our own apprentices could be....Beneficial.
>>
>>4313150
Yes.

More or less, yeah. Your father doesn't really care about the outcome of this either. You dying might surprise him though. Good thing you have plenty of siblings to replace you.
>>
>>4313175
Curse these familial bonds that make me instinctively desire parental affection. Fuck it, from here on I'm gonna vote the way that helps us and the empire, Not out of any misplaced familial loyalty.

Fawning younger sibling relationships where we are the cooler older brother can still be helped. Those are rare though.
>>
>>4313132
That lady is already going to kill us for stealing her apprentice's knowledge though.

>>4313150
To me, Nox isn't that bad, it's not like she's restricting us in anyway, she's more playful than anything.

>>4313185
Magnus doesn't really have any strong familial loyalty, or a strong attachment to being a Sith.
He's stopped considering himself a Sith already, and doesn't even see the Empire or the Republic in a good light.
>>
>>4313198
Yeah, but just imagine her face when she gets news of our [very public] showing off of our new genetic abomination.

As for Magnus' loyalty, I disagree about not having a strong attachment to the empire. The Sith as they are, he couldn't care less because he was brought up by a pragmatist and the sith ideals actively conflict with that social programming. The empire though? that's his home. Even if you dislike your home you still like it more than the other guy beating it over the head unless it has wronged you severly.
>>
>>4313205
You can develop a dislike for your home easily, although I'd say right now it's more like apathy in Magnus' case.
>>
>>4313205
Although I was more thinking that he'd just leave both behind and go his own way honestly.
>>
>>4313207
Yeah a dislike is a dislike, but dislike doesn't mean you would be happy for some forgine pricks who want you dead to walk in and take over the place. You dislike your home less than you dislike the negatives such an occupation would bring.

And to come back to Nox, she isn't that bad but I get where anon is coming from when talking about growing tired of her. We seem to do little else, so perhaps a break would be nice.

I got an idea, why don't we take them all hunting at some point for a day or so...without water.
Learn alchemy or die of thirst and heat stroke motherfuckers.
>>
>>4313216
There is no power to be gained from going solo at this point.

When we have learned all that we can and it no longer serves us, then we can go our own wandering way, meet jedi and other sith, expand our knowledge....Kill more than a few of each.
>>
>>4313221
Well, we were spending a majority of our time training with her, yes.
I think after mastering Mind Manipulation we're in a better state to go around doing other things.
We should return to her when we can though.

>>4313228
Magnus may be a training nut right now, but he isn't completely consumed by a search for power like other Sith.
I could see him ditching the Empire to go his own way just because they're that distasteful to him.
>>
>>4313268
There is an old Maxim anon.
"The wolf that runs with the pack is the strength of the pack, the wolf that runs free of the pack feels it's strength" or something of that nature. Until we are able to defend ourselves properly against retaliation, you stay with the pack and operate in that structure.

Magnus has a drive, no doubt but he also doesn't have any grand ambitions. Why would he? He's been put here to train by his father so that's what he's going to do.
Once we get an ambition that necessitates leaving, I can see it happening.

Ḭ͍͞t̨̩͙̮̤̠'s of the force but not like anything else you know of. Everything about i͞t̡͖̪͍ is wrong down to the sight of i͞t̡͖̪͍'s form.

The world turns red.

Blinking, you wipe the blood oozing out your eyes.

Great ancestor, what was t̡̥̫͉ͅh̷a͍̟̥̠̪̜͎t͚̩̣̭͕̟̣͝?

You feel your mind set as ease when the phantom of your dynasty founder's progenitor appears in it.

Worry not over things outside of your control, blood of my blood. Your mind is strong enough to think of the being. Take solace in that. Perhaps in the future you can assist, but you cannot as you are now.

You grit your teeth.

Come on, you can't just show me something... and expect me not to ask questions.

That was Tulak Hord.

Well, you're stil out of luck. I unfortunately know what's going on and want some answers.

You're not getting any.

You part your lips, pause, and sigh.

It'd be blasphemy if you kept at it with this Sith of all Sith to have ever existed. You've already done more than enough for him to bitch slap your through the Force. Really, you should be thankful to have the old man as your ancestor.

>[X] Go to your mistress, she may be annoying at times but she is your lover.

Just thinking about... took all the energy you had left. Even if your dear mistress tries to fuck you, it'd be worth it just to sleep on her ever growing comfortable bed. You've been cuddling as of late instead of fucking, which is a good sign. Maybe you'll cuddle some sanity back into that diseased brain of hers someday.

You walk away from the bestial grunt emanating kennel entrance back towards the staircase.

Nox raises a curious eyebrow as you enter her office yet again. "What brought you back to me?" She scowls. "Don't tell me it's for the holocron you gave me literally several minutes ago."

"Actually, I'm tired and want to sleep on your bed."

The Darth blinks. "...Are you willingly playing the role of my bedwarmer?"

You shrug.

"I'll take that as a yes."

"What can I say, your sheets are made of dragon spider silk."

Your lover raises a finger. "Ackbarian Dragon Spider silk."

"I don't know what Ackbarian is."

"That's because you're a philistine, my dear."

Shaking your head, you shuffle your way into the woman's quarters and plop yourself on her bed before nodding off.

...

...

You open your eyes and feel rested as your dear mistress is atop you again.

Well, at least you weren't molested in your slumber, as far as you know.

This will probably earn you a shock, but it will be worth it for the split second of annoyance it'll give her. You haven't cooked in a while either. While not bad, the food you can cook far outmatches the novice cafeteria staff members. Hunting and surviving away from civilization tends to turn one into a gourmet chef, in your experience.

A grin spreads across your face.

Ooooooooh, this iiiiiis the ghooooosts you've absoooooorbed~

"I thought you were all too disgusted..." She yawns. "To speak with me when I was with the company of my concubine."

You blink.

Very much, you hope this bitch is fucking with you, you do.

"Get up. I'll make us breakfast."

Nox opens her Dark Side corrupted eyes and blinks. "You're offering to make me breakfast?" A smile forms from her ruby lips. "How domestic of you."

"Who knows what will happen next; maybe you'll act loving and feminine rather than insane."

"Ooh, I think I'd like that."

Rolling your eyes, you ease out from under the Dark Council member and make your way to the cafeteria kitchens.

The staff are confused at your presence as they would and should be but go on with their business after you grab the ingredients you need.

A tune chimes in your throat as you arrange krython sausages in circles on a melted butter with herbs sizzling pan.

The smell of searing sausage intermixes with two slices of tag-pig bacon strips cooking beside them.

You crack two dragonhen eggs against the pan and let them fill the circles of sausages.

Six or so minutes later, you're back in Nox's office presenting two plates of protein goodness for breakfast.

Nox coos and rubs her hands when you set her plate on her side of the desk.

You set yours on the space parallel to hers and sit down on the visitor's chair.

If only she were a loving, relatively normal woman to enjoy this meal with.

A lot of foolish but fun things are running through your mind right now. You feel good enough from just thinking about it to do it though, in spite of all the risks. That seems to be a growing trend as of late. Until you receive a crippling shock from the dear missus, you'll keep at it. Never have you ever been so glad to have a slippery mind.

"I would offer to make some for Khem, but he sort of 'eats' the potent aura of evil you exclude."

Nox giggles. "He thinks every part of me tastes savory."

You blink.

This was a mistake.

"Have you ever subsumed Force ghosts?"

"Depends on what you mean by 'ghosts,' dear Magnus." Picking up her eating utensils, she carves into her sausage-wrapped sunny side up egg. "There are many different kind of force entities that exist from beyond the veil of death. Korriban's tombs are littered with them."

"...But did you?"

Nox munches on some sausage, giggling all the while.

You look down at your own food and look back up to your lover with a smile. "All we need is a proper table, some children, and adjusted ages to be a family having breakfast."

"I'd be your wife in such an arrangement." The Darth swallows her meat and laughs. "How forward of you to suggest such a thing, dear Magnus."

Cutting your own sausage-wrapped sunny side up egg into individual pieces, you lift one into your mouth.

She actually enjoys this kind of odd, wholesome-esque banter.

"Now kiss me on the cheek and call me husband."

The woman giggles, rises from her chair, saunters over to you, and kisses your cheek. "Okay, my manly hubby."

You put your hand against the small of her back and slide it down towards her rump as she walks away, drawing a purr from your dearest lady.

A part of you has no idea why you're doing this, but you really can get used to this without all the craziness.

Maybe you should play these games more often: Nox seems to enjoy them almost as much as you do. She'll never be the traditional ideal wife, but she acts the part when it suits her. That's kind of enough for you if this relationship lasts forever, even if you'd prefer a much stabler partner.

"Look at you all obedient and loving. I should cook food for you more often."

"You should, I would kill to eat like this every day for every meal."

Raising an eyebrow, you tilt your head. "Have you ever cooked for yourself?"

"No."

"...And you were a slave?"

"I was, yes."

"Then how did you never cook for yourself?"

"Other slaves fed me."

You scoff. "Missing out on a vital life skill then."\

"I have servants to do that for me now." She rolls her eyes and smiles. "And you."

Shaking your head, you return your attention to your breakfast.

The savory sausage-wrapped eggs meet a swift yet dignified end by your teeth before you scarf down the scrumptious dragon tag-pig strips of bacon.

You wipe your lips with a serviette and sigh in satisfaction.

Really, you should cook food more often lest you get lazy here.

Something of utmost importance, avoiding it, you have been. Too young to be a father, you are. Nox, mother material she is not. Driven mad, your child would be. Fate worse than death, madness is. Struck mad, you yourself have to be thinking like this.

"...Out of curiosity, have you taken a pregnancy test? I mean... you know what I mean."

Nox raises an eyebrow. "Why would I?"

"...To see if you're pregnant?"

"And why would I care?"

You blink.

She really is insane.

Clearing your throat, you raise an eyebrow of your own. "How was Khem while I was off learning under his old master?"

Laughs erupt from your lover's lips. "The big boy was so jealous! Of course, he couldn't bring himself to interrupt what he thinks you rightfully earned, but he wanted to see his dear master again." She scowls. "If only he realized he belongs to me now, much like you."

A hum chimes in your throat.

This may not be the best time or a smart thing to ever bring up, but you may as well.

"How did you learn to subsume spirits?"

"Don't even bother trying to learn: it takes natural talent yet still leaves you with bickering voices in your head."

"...Sure that's not just you?"

Nox parts her lips, pauses, and raises a finger to her chin. "Now that you mention it..."

You cluck your tongue.

No part of you knows what you were expecting from trying to follow up on rumors.

"There are some acolytes I must torment further on the road to Sith. See you, woman." You stand up from your chair and walk out the office as your dear mistress' laughter thrums from behind.

You make your way back to the cafeteria, sit down on an empty table, command your apprentices to meet you there telepathically, and smile as they arrive accompanied by their tuk'ata.

It'd be such a shame for all of them to die acolytes rather than Sith.

While you could jump straight into the thick, you'd prefer to ease them into a false sense of security before you pummel them. Your experiences like that with your father have taught you much. Learning to get used to stability is a vital experience they must have. The Force knows you've had learned far too much from it though.

"Are you all prepared for the next trial?"

Naziha nods. "That tomb was nothing compared to you?"

"We don't even know what it is." Yang shrugs.

"I can only hope I don't die too quick or too slow." Arezoo gulps.

You blink and raise an eyebrow. "What training have you done without me?"

Ms Degenerate whimpers. "The walking cat broke one of my teeth."

"It's not my fault you didn't have your guard up."

"We were eating lunch together!"

"And that's any excuse for not being ready at all times?"

"Yes!"

"How the bloody hell have you survived this long?"

Yang shoots you a look that you return.

Women will never not be strange to your gender.

"Have you all had breakfast?"

Both kitty cats stop fighting to shake their heads while Yang nods.

A hum chimes in your throat.

Maybe time for a test of your own or another session of cooking to bind them to you more.

Hunt down an animal, kill it, cook it.
Nice bonding exercise and then we can begin teaching alchemy, which I feel is a very important part of our time here, spreading the twin pillars of sith supremacy back amongst the crowd rather than keeping it all to oursleves.

I dont suggest giving them formless though. That's ours, not the siths at large

>[X] "Come on, we're going hunting."

Hunting is quite possibly one of the best bonding experiences, in your oh so humble opinion. The hunters need to work as a pack and play their own individual role in taking down the prey. Fresh meat is also the absolute best state of meat before it's roasted. Best you don't stray too far from the academy lest you get attacked by a different horde of tuk'ata seeking the mighty bitch.

"Come on, we're going hunting." You rise up from the table.

Naziha scoffs. "In the desert?"

"Lot of wildlife if you know where to look for it. Hell, look down at your feet to see what I found out there?"

The Sith beast runt yips as it nuzzles the cat's ankle.

"We're... We're not going to eat tuk'ata are we?" Arezoo scratches her nearby big lug's head, making him twitch his leg.

"If that's what we find, yeah."

"Dude," Yang speaks up, "they are Sith and Sith acolyte's best friend. I don't want to eat one."

You tilt your head.

This is an unprecedented situation you've encountered.

"Fine, we'll hunt something that's not tuk'ata... But if we get ambushed by a pack, we're eating them."

"...I guess that's fair."

"Yang!" The degenerate of the pack cries.

"Always the bleeding heart, aren't you Pinkie?" Naziha shakes her head. "I swear, it's like you want to die."

"I don't! I just don't want anyone to!"

"Everyone dies, Arezoo... Everyone." Yang sighs.

"...That doesn't mean we have to kill each other."

"I'd hate to interrupt this fascinating, possibly-turning-philosophical conversation you're having, but you need to get up and follow me now."

With no further words, the party rises from your group table and follows you through the academy and out into the desert.

There's not a lot of divers prey on desert planets, but they do exist.

It's been some time since you've had something avian to dine on. They're not exactly the healthiest thing to eat but anything not domestic has a risk of being diseased. You'll have to thoroughly cook the meat. Seeing its properties through alchemy couldn't hurt either.

"Shyrack are attracted to caves and areas they can hide in. Let's go for them."

"How are we going to find caves out here?" Arezoo asks.

Naziha hums. "Most likely near cliffs. We can go into the tombs if necessary, but that has its own dangers."

"What are Shyrack anyway?" Yang asks.

"Bat-like creatures made or tampered with Sith Alchemy. They're like tuk'ata except less house-breakable."

"They probably hang out in swarms then. Not a good idea to hunt if that's the truth."

"And that's why we're hunting them.

Pinkie whines. "Why can't you people ever do anything that doesn't threaten your life?"

You shrug.

That is a question you've been asking since your childhood yet still have no real answer to.

You four and three tuk'ata trek through the endless dune to one of many cliffs with a dark crevice.

Like a scene from a comedic holoshow, you all peek your heads out a nearby boulder.

"Are you guys sure there's some in there?" Arezoo asks the tuk'ata also, with the exception of Yang's, poking their heads out from the behind the rock.

The big beast nods, careful to not make any loud noise.

You raise a hand to your chin.

It would be smart to flush the Shyrack out into open space where you'd have more room and visual cues to manuever with. You could sneak in and take them unaware, but you have no light on you, and the others aren't attuned to the force to fight blind with it. There's also the matter of roles to consider.

Dear arezoo, make your noises and draw them back here.

Bog rat and cat, get hidden and when the daft degenerate comes running past us, we attack the swarm.
Force or physical, just deck them. I think we have basic lightning which should be flashy enough to scare them into disarray.
>>
>>4318336
I mean, if they are batlike they might not get that confused by the lightning, as they won't notice the light and there's no sonic boom from Sith lightning.

Also, I was thinking. If at the end of it we do want to keep out trio around there may be loopholes we can use.
the rule as stated is that only one person can graduate from this pod, right? And that is assumed to be the last man standing.

What might happen, in theory, if we got the ones who do end up impressing us expelled and thrown out of the academy and then claimed by ourselves?
We're already training them, they're already reliant on us and if we had agents/servants who were force users without technically being part of the Sith order they'd have nothing to gain by betraying us... In fact they'd probably be reliant on our goodwill/patronage not to be hunted down and killed for being rogue force users.

It'd be a win-win, they get to live and we get servants... And as a bonus we get to engage in some long term planning and scheming, which is always good fun.
>>
>>4318387
If they all survive to the end, they join the workforce in the academy.

If we genuinely want to keep them around, we can induct them as retainers to the feraxus household, ie personal servants, thusly circumventing their losing performance. Or just straight say "they are coming with me, anyone want to oppose the ruling of the wraths son?"

That being said, I dont see much use taking them with us. Having them here could yield some nice insider information and eyes around a place that a lot of lords go to gain apprentices
>>
>>4318387
As for lightning, it isn't the light that we are looking for. It's the heat, pain and ease with which a lightning torrent can leap from person to person in a small area.
>>
>>4318434
Yea, but we're not exactly the most skilled lightning and so I wouldn't guarantee that we're able to create chain lightning style effects... I'd say we'd be much better off using simple telekinetic powers, not only could it blast a fair few of them but if they do use echolocation it might actually mess with the sound waves they emit. Depending on how the evil space magic works.

Ms degenerate needs to toughen up for what's likely to come for all of you. She won't be in too much mortal danger with that giant Sith dog of hers. The woman just has to muster up some courage. The Force knows a little fearlessness can take someone a long ways: it certainly brought you far from where you started.

"Dear Arezoo, walk into the cave entrance and do your usual noisy thing."

The girl looks up at you. "...What?"

"Go over there and make some noise to draw them out."

"Why me?"

You scoff. "Other than why not, you're the one person in this group who wouldn't. Going to have to get some fire in the pink belly of yours."

Whining, the girl walks out from the boulder.

Her big boy runs out in front of her not even a second after, tripping her on top of his back.

The three of you left behind watch as the beast takes off towards the cave with a screaming Zeltron on its back.

"...Does that count as fire in her belly?" Yang asks.

Shaking your head, you hop to the top of the rock and center yourself.

A dozen seconds pass by before the big tuk'ata spins back around, fleeing a small swarm of alchemized bats.

They're floating in the air one second and flopping to the ground the next as you use the Force to push against their fragile wings.

You spring at them and crush ones head with your hands alone.

Naziha follows your lead, springing to and from the boulder at the nearest shyrack with her practice saber. Yang does the same while Arezoo's beast pounces on a recovering one. Ms Pinky rolls off her boy by a shyrack, screams, grabs it by the back of the head, and drives her practice saber's tip into its eye.

Crossing your arms, you watch your acolytes and even their littlest of pets stab, slice, chomp, nibble, and purr their way to victory.

Now if only all were ready to do the same to other people.

There comes a time in everyone's life where they must learn to defend and provide for themselves. While not exactly that, this covers exactly one of those things. You also have more alchemically manipulated genetic material to work with here too. You'll have to try and fix your broken acolyte after.

"Time for you all to learn how to skin and prepare an animal."

Naziha raises an eyebrow. "Here? In the desert where that'd attract predators?"

"Obviously we're going to take them back with us."

"A bit more than we can carry, isn't there?" Yang speaks up, prodding one of the twitching Shyrack's corpse.

"You do realize I can use the Force to lift them all up with me, right?"

"...Oh, right."

You walk to the nearest bat-like creature, crouch down, and place your hand on it.

The ever complex acid that acts almost like blueprints lays itself out before your mind.

Humming, you remove your hand from the creature, having seen the alchemical influence.

Arezoo caresses the ugly bald head of one.

You shake your head as you walk up to her. "Pinky, you're not cut out for this. I'm going to give you this offer only once, do you want me to make adjustments to your mind?"

"...What?" She rises and furrows her brow.

"I can alter your mind to make you slightly different or an entirely different person. Despite seeming complicated, it's actually pretty easy. Only thing hard about it is the altered subject trying to break out of the implanted traits, thought patterns, and overall personality."

"So you'd turn me into Naziha?"

You tilt your head from side to side. "If that's what you want."

"...No." Arezoo shakes her head. "You'd just be killing me completely and utterly: a death beyond death where I can't even die as myself. Even if it scares me, I'd rather die as myself than some fake person who wears my face."

A hum chimes in your throat.

She has a spine after all.

Nice to see that people are agreeing with me, and yea I think it makes a lot of sense because what she said is literally calling upon the Sith code here. She is making an argument of self actualization, of freedom to do as she pleases even if it is ultimately self destructive.

In fact she is being a very good Sith by rejecting an outside force attempting to influence her to better fit into a community (*cough* the Jedi *cough*) and choosing to be the master of her own fate. This is what it means to be Sith; to be strong enough that none can take that freedom away from you.
>>
>>4320140
The sith code can also make for a case of "the strong survive, the weak die" in which the better choice is to accept the power that comes from having your identity altered.

Personally, I see the dilemma here as one which her reasoning is more important than the answer. If it wasn't fear of us and our alterations that made her refuse, good job, you have just made your own choice. If it was fear of losing her empathy then bad degenerate, letting fear rule you.
>>
>>4320171
Yes, and she acknowledged the very fact that she is likely going to die the moment we met her.
The weak will die, the strong will live and she knows she is weak.

But here we did not offer her power, we did that the moment we begun training all of these individuals, and to their credit they have all tried to overcome their weakness in that.

But here we did not offer her power, we offered conformity. We offered nothing but to shackle her, to drag in the code again, to our worldview in the faint hope that she might maybe survive and instead she chose freedom. Freedom to die, yes, but what Sith would live a slave?
>>
>>4320178
Most of the cunning ones. There is a reason that many of the greatest rises to power are founded on the death of their masters.

Pretty cool man, watching some first season nuwho. 9th doctor, it's good shit.

Also looking over our "Uberskills" and working out their wording. For example, the "formless" skill removes the modifier up to the skill we learn it for both ourselves and the enemy. So there are two ways this can be ruled, either it's Rank - formless rank = modifier.
Or it is rank > formless = no removal of modifier while rank < formless = usage nullified.

I think the first interpretation is right, but either works.

You could camp out here for breakfast, but the scathing sun tends to make enjoying cooked meat difficult. Better to cook inside where you have actual tools to work with. Ms. Degenerate is owed a compliment for her surprise fortitude before you go on with things. Really, she surprised you with that.

"Up and at 'em, we're going to eat well for an entire week." You lift up several of the Shyrack with the Force.

"...Did I make you mad?" Arezoo asks, dragging one of her own bat-like creatures.

Shaking your head, you hum a 'nuh-uh.' "You put your foot down and decided to stick to a path. That alone shows you've made some progress."

"Oh..." The alien's eyes glitter as her usual smile returns to her face. "Thank you!"

You blink. "Something tells me if you survive this you'll be one of the absolute strangest Sith to ever exist."

A happy tune thrums in the woman's throat as she puts the shyrack on her tuk'ata's back before following you and the others back to the Academy.

The four of you receive odd looks when you arrive back at the garrison but are uninterrupted in your journey to the cafeteria kitchens.

For about an hour, you show and instruct your dear acolytes in skinning, disemboweling, and carving what you hope are scrumptious pieces of alchemized bat-like animal meat.

The next half hour the four of you spend turning the intestines into succulent sausages, fatty back into scrumptious bacon, and putting your all protein breakfast on plates.

You pour your acolytes' cups full of Imperial fruit nutrient juice mix before sitting down among them yourself.

If only your father was here to see your motley little crew of acolytes.

>(1/2)

Really, this trial of yours is more like a vacation than something you need to advance as whatever you are now. Maybe your old man was just running out of ideas that pertained in putting you within an arm's reach of death. He couldn't have so elaborately set this all up if it was his intention for you to make these misfits into your acolytes.

"...My father is having all of us, but mostly me, go through these trials for some reason. I can't for the life of me understand what that is."

Naziha hums a purr-like hum, chewing on some tender bat bacon. "I've heard you single-handedly excavated the tomb of Tulak Hord. Created a massive boulder they're calling 'The Archeologist's Rock.' Maybe he wanted you to explore?"

"Wait, they're calling it that?" You cluck your tongue. "Should've just called it mine then; idiotic slaves."

"Maybe he wanted to see what you'd do?" Yang speaks up. "Gauge your patience for doing something you're painfully beyond the league of? Preparing you for a real test that'd last a year or years?"

You tilt your head from side to side.

It could very well be that, knowing your father. Still unlike him to be so indirect and time-wasting. That's something more along your precious new mistress' lines. Although, what Yang said doesn't seem entirely implausible: he could be gauging you for something.
>>
>(2/2)

"Your father is a distant man, isn't he?" Arezoo asks, breaking you out of your thoughts.

Nodding, you raise an eyebrow at her.

"It's in the way you interact with us... How you don't like people getting physically close to you... Why you don't consider anyone a friend here that isn't an animal. Your family is the only real company you've ever had, huh?"

"...Yeah."

Yang's eyes dart from you to Arezoo and Naziha. "This just got oddly personal."

Sighing, you close your eyes. "It'd be disappointing if you died after all this."

"Aww, that's his way of saying he likes us," Ms. Degenerate says.

Naziha thumps her over the head, drawaing a yelp. "Don't push it."

"What do you all know of the Sith ways?" You ask, changing the subject. "The way we form power bases and use the Dark Side of the Force?"

"Killing, extorting, bribing, creating a rapport with officials in power, forming cults centered around yourself, literally brainwashing people with the Force, and just getting in bed with the right people in general," your surprising loyal and knowledgeable kitty cat says.

"Been having conversations with Tremel?"

"No, just seen more than enough of that part of the Sith lifestyle back on Taris."

A low hum rumbles in your throat.

Well at least one of your disciples understands something.

Now that I am not up at an ungodly time in the morning, a bit of fluffing up.

"That is how the modern sith build their power base, from which they can strike and attack and gather and defend. But the sith are Antiluvian, the ancient masters far outstrip the modern means, Tulak Hord for example was that great a sith that he faced an army of jedi alone and slew them all.
But back to the point, the ancient greats had two special means of forming power which have been lost to the new, that of Alchemy and sorcery. None living save maybe the emperor is a master in these things, with the art of alchemy being held by only two lords, one of which rules on the council, while sorcery is lost properly."

Much better indeed, sorry for being a bother but I've quite grown to like the characterization of Magnus and the scars his upbringing has left

( For an example just look at the last post, instead of saying "I hope you don't die" he centers the viewpoint on himself "It'd be disappointing if you die".
Actually I think the only time we gave any of them a choice in anything was when we tested Azeroo)

I do like his characterization as well, but I'm not the author so I do hope that is taken into consideration when measuring up the writing, but no bother it is.

As of the last post as well, The empath is really rather perceptive. Our actions and thoughts in contrast with the others vs Pierce is rather telling of what we could have ended up like if we had a less...Uhh...yeah, upbringing. Partly why Nox is also really strange to see, since we are effectively boiled down to a moody teenager around her due to the fact we can't actually establish our usual "Do not touch me, stay well away" attitude.

As a side thought, I did consider suggesting giving tremel a lesson or two about alchemy but then I remembered that though spreading the art is a good idea, maybe we should not do so publicly or often as to an overseer.
>>
>>4322224
I agree with that line of thinking, yea,
the overseers can do it themselves, they're Sith and should be expected to act as such. Nono, our secrets are ours to share with our acolytes as we choose and please.

>[X] "Do you wonder maybe we've been brought together for a reason?"
>[X] Long good speech of sorts.

Despite being non-sentient, the Force has a subconscious will of sorts. Visions of the future are often had by those who use it for their own ends. Your father defeating Baras was practically destiny. Who's to say this isn't either? Also, you need to pass along some of the lost arts if you're going to reintroduce them to your 'people.'

"Do you wonder maybe we've been brought together for a reason?"

Naziha raises a kitty eyebrow. "You mean brought together by fate?"

You nod.

"Well, this is all kind of too convenient to be just a coincidence, isn't it?" Yang says.

"Stranger things have happened in life within this galaxy.." Arezoo sips her glass of nutrient juice mix. "It could be or it couldn't be."

A sigh escapes your lips.

You'll never know for sure, like a lot of things in life.

Turning to your resident cat person, you clear your throat. "What you said is more or less how modern Sith establish their power." You turn your attention to the group. "Now more than ever, Sith are advancing by nepotism and politics rather than power, knowledge, or merit. The ancient masters could slaughter Jedi by the thousands. The thousands. Through sheer martial power and the ancient arts, sorcery and alchemy."

"You mean what we're doing now isn't actually magic?" Yang asks in-between sausage bites.

"More or less. I know some of both, but I'm not a master. Planning on teaching you all after this. It's not as dangerous or hard as our other training, but you should still be prepared."

The munching faces of your acolytes steel themselves in an adorably odd manner.

You resist the urge to laugh.

They'll all be the strangest Sith if they make it out of this.

>[X] "Do any of you know any big names around here yet? It's good to know your competition and who you should be making friends with."

You're due a little amusement after that rather uncomfortable dissection of your family dynamic's effect on your personality. Time for your maybe-friend to squirm in his fresh bandages for once. After you've had your fun, you should check in to see what they're learning independent of you. Someone who can't learn on their own isn't cut out to be a Sith.

"Since you're fond of mind reading, why don't you dissect Yang's mind, Pinky?"

The Huttese Bog-Rat blinks as the degenerate turns to him.

"He's... uncomfortable around us. He doesn't know what to do here, what to think of it, or how to feel." Arezoo hums. "...I'm not picking up anything else." She tilts her head. "How do you do that?"

Mr. Yang washes down his sausage bits with his fruit juice mix.

Laughing, you look the orphan in the eye. "He has the most potential out of you all, not that he's progressing more. I think he would if he was actually into becoming a Sith or harnessing the Force."

"Really?" Naziha asks, giving the young man a side-glance.

The man sets down his glass, picks up his bat bacon, and bites into its savory goodness.

"Do any of you know any big names around here yet?" You ask, changing the subject. "It's good to know your competition and who you should be making friends with."

"Shiva, a Zabrak from our cluster of acolytes, is said to have killed three others in secret with her bare hands." Arezoo answers.

Naziha nods. "Heard about her. Some 'Jaffaleq' is the talk of the entire academy though: he's from a different group and been around for half a year now."

"He's that scaly lizard guy." Yang speaks up.

You blink. "Oh yeah, the Trandoshan. I heard about him killing other acolytes in the tombs under the guise of k'lor'slug attacks the last time I was on Korriban. Tallying kills for the Scorekeeper of his people most likely."

"Scorekeeper?"

"Goddess of theirs that kept track of kills, hunts, and other achievements. Jagannath points I think they call it. Determines their place in what they believe is the afterlife."

Arezoo raises an eyebrow. "What kind of people thinks killing others will give them salvation beyond this life?"

"Trandoshans apparently." You scoff. "This galaxy is filled with degenerate species with equally degenerate cultures like that."

If only you could rid them of your people's misery along with the degenerates of your species.

No harm in telling them to get rid of whatever underlying existential anxiety they have. You didn't fear death or the prospect of oblivion before you found out the spirits haunting the Sith tombs were the real things. The degenerate's fear is more about dying than non-existance but still: the thought should be comforting.

"I've actually communicated with spirits of the Force: turns out you just exist in a dream-like state for eternity after you die. Can't say it sounds that bad."

Karimi hum-purrs. "Sounds like it's own kind of Hell in a way... Pretty much every afterlife seems like it'd be Hell in some manner."

"A part of it is comforting and a part of it is horrifying." Pinkie sips her juice. "I guess I'm fine with some part of me existing after the end of my life."

You raise an eyebrow at a silent Yang.

The young man raises his gaze to yours and blinks.

"Well, what do you think?"

"...I don't really care so long as my life in this galaxy inevitably ends."

A hum murmurs in your throat.

You thought that'd be his answer.

Turning back to the group as a whole, you cluck your tongue. "So that's all the ones you've heard about?"

"I mean, there are other people outside our group that are up and comers but there's nothing concrete about them." Naziha answers. "There's apparently this one-eyed alien who eats the acolytes he kills, a bone-faced alien who bows and prays to every Sith staff member as they pass by, a pureblood that's awfully polite to us alien peasants, some twi'lek whore who sleeps with acolytes before or while she kills them, and eye-less twins who feel...empty."

"Scaly face is the only one who's really bonafide." Mr. Orphan adds.

"How do you know about him, Yang?"

"A big name acolyte or two came in with wounds he caused."

You raise an eyebrow.

It might be worth looking into all of them with the exception of the whore degenerate, who you want to die in a fire.

let's tie in the shyrack hunting trip with the discussion and we have been holding their hand a lot lately, time for a proper test shall we?
Especially if we are going to teach them something as advanced as alchemy.
And it's important that we let them choose the target, that way they couldn't explain it away to themselves with "Magnus made me", or at least, it would be a lot more difficult.

And even if they are barely worth the name of acolyte a three on one should be more then manageable. Personally I'm hoping for the trandoshian.

Another thought occurs to me, which has before been ignored. Once we have advanced our sorcery and alchemy to a bit more advanced state we should consider constructing a sith warblade.

Strong as a lightsaber, sturdy as a regular sword and a tool to channel sorcery a bit better, according to lore. Dad may find some measure of approval in it.

Even though your blood is the absolute noblest among Sith, 'purebloods' still look down on your family for resembling humans more than your ancient people. Nevermind that the Jen'ari at the time and in memoriam have been human or mixed blood. They themselves are of mixed blood too. Maybe they'll lose all that 'pure' blood of theirs after this.

"A polite pureblood? How novel."

Karimi raises an eyebrow. "They're disrespectful to you?"

"Most purebloods are. My bloodline surpasses pretty much every other in existence but they still look down on my family for becoming 'impure.'"

"How?" She tilts her head. "Who are you descended from?"

"Faxerus Ra—" You shake your head.

Yang shoots you a look. "What is it?"

"It's Faxerus Faxerus. His first last name is all but dead and should remain so as no one since has been worthy of claiming it, even by blood."

The acolytes shoot you looks but remain quiet.

It was confusing to you too when your father explained it to your young self, though you gradually began to understand as the magnitude of that name made itself known with your growing age.

"Miraluka. I've heard some of them becoming Sith before and seen them around, but they're still most likely to be Jedi."

The kitty cat hums and returns to her breakfast.

About twelve minutes pass until the last of the juice mix is imbibed, the sausages are swallowed, and bat bacon is crunched. Your disciples are all focusing on you when their last gulps finish.

"It's good that you're paying attention." You clasp your fingers together. "Now, I want you three to choose one the acolytes mentioned and kill them."

They all blink.

"What brought this on?" Yang asks.

Arezoo furrows her brow. "Even for you, that's extreme."

"I'm with the pink alien for once: this is going a bit too far." Naziha speaks up. "What will killing them do for us? They're not even in our group."

"Well, I can't hold your hands forever, and you need a real challenge before the trials start again. It'll do you no good to approach a real fight like it's a training session. This is for you all to start fighting like your life's on the line, which it will be."

They sit in silence.

You may have been a little too sudden with that.

>[X] "That may be a bit too Sith of me. Still, the reason being is to know how and what to look out for. If you don't wish to murder them, beat them to deaths door. But I'm sure you know what happens when they recover."

They're right: that was kind of out from nowhere, especially from you of all people. Killing people for the purpose of assuring your strength is just not your style, but then again, you've never really had to assure your own strength. It was always clear just what level you were on in comparison to everyone else.

"That may be a bit too Sith of me." You raise a hand to rub the back of your head. "Still, the reason being is to know how and what to look out for. If you don't wish to murder them, beat them to deaths door. But I'm sure you know what happens when they recover."

"...Where is this coming from?" Yang asks.

Arezoo sighs. "He thinks this is for our own good. I'm not sure if he's ever had to do the same though."

"Oh well." Naziha shrugs. "No real training like experience and it's not like we haven't killed before."

"Yeah, but those people were trying to kill us."

Mr. Yang clucks his tongue. "We're going to have to kill people eventually. Guess this is training in its own way." He tilts his head at you. "Plenty of people have died at your hand, huh? You're just too grounded to give off that murderous air."

You nod.

Caeles threw you to the wolves figurative and quite literally on a constant basis when you were young. More than enough people have died by your lightsabers, blasters, force abiltiies, and your bare hands. They were trying to kill you but sometimes you'd end up killing someone completely unrelated because they were just trying to keep the peace.

"Up and at 'em. It's time to spread your wings and become angels of death."

The acolytes rise from the table and exit the cafeteria, leaving you alone.

A sigh escapes your lips.

It had to happen eventually, even though it's probably not ideal at this time.

Of all the abilities one could learn, absorption is quite possibly the most useful. Reinforcement may make one far more capable than they normally would be but high levels of absorption can even zap that from them. Both used in tandem can make one practically invincible. It's a wonder your father hasn't mastered it yet.

You rise from the table and make your way back to your dear.

Nox is typing randomly on her holo-computer table keyboard as you walk in. "I'm busy right now."

"...I can tell you're typing, 'DFSGIROPKLNFNADKKFJNNKJNM.'"

She stops and looks up. "How?"

"Movement of your fingers, and the general position of your ancient keyboard, which I have no idea why you're using when holo-interaction exists."

"I prefer the feeling of something solid rather than the air."

You tilt your head. "Well, it's inefficient."

"And you're no fun."

"I came here to train under you again." You sigh. "...Before I say what I want training in, I don't want you to shock m—" The nerves in your body fire randomly as outside electricity surges through them, causing you to spasm.

Cackling laughter fills the air while Nox force lightning's your thrashing body.

Hours pass until you're capable of absorbing a little more of her shocks than you usually can.

>Force Absorption Experience Gained: 0.5/5

The lightning stops, leaving you convulsing on the ground.

"I'm sorry, you were trying to say something?" Nox giggles.

You groan in agony.

"Those aren't words, dear Magnus."

A little progress isn't any real actual progress. Until you advance to the next level, you will keep at this even if it kills you. Knowing Nox, she'll likely do so before resuscitating you to kill you again. There's just no gain without some major pain in this unforgiving world.

You raise your upper body off the ground. "Again."

"Oh Magnus, I knew you were the most perfect toy in my possession!"

Half-cries fill the air as electricity fills your body again.

You absorb a decent portion for the first couple of seconds before the pain distracts you from your survival.

An hour or two passes before your lover stops, leaving you a twitching half-dead carcass.

"...Huh, you really haven't been absorbing any of this."

Croaks churn in your shocked throat.

Nox rises from her desk, saunters over to you, kneels, and kisses your crispy forehead. "You look so cute like this. I could just eat you up."

A guttural whimper clicks out your lips.

"I love you too."

You thrash around again.

"Aww, I know you want to have sex, but it won't be any fun if you can't feel any of it."

The world darkens as Nox lifts you up.

"Let's get you some help."

You slip into nothingness before you're carried out the room.

...

...

Opening your eyes, you see the medbay dimly lit in a green haze.

The breathing apparatus makes a muffled pop when you pull it off before you open the vat lid.

You lift yourself out and let your absorbent-clad body slip on to the ground.

It's late, but you survived at the very least.

You might as well try to see if you can identify anyone who may have been thrashed by your acolytes. Karim most definitely slaughtered whoever her target was. Arezoo and Yang seem more like the types to cripple or half-kill their targets. Whatever actually happened, you'll find out for yourself.

First things first.

You make your way to the showers, strip the absorbent suit off, wash off the excess kolto, and change into some fresh acolyte clothes before going back into the medbay proper.

Walking among the wounded beside the still awake staff, only a slumbering Yang and kolto vat, broken bone-face Kaleesh catch your attention

Either he did him in or one of your other apprentices did. Whatever happened, you're happy one of them obeyed your command, even if it was kind of a cop-out. You'll be horribly disappointed if this is all some kind of coincidence though.

A shrug of your shoulders is followed by you leaving the quiet medical chamber.

The last you saw of Pierce was when you returned from conquering the entire tuk'ata kingdom of Paradise. Last you heard from him was his moping from having not been the one to win the battle royal for your Mighty Bitch's uterus. From what you can feel right now, he's somewhere outside, relaxing in the cold sand.

You make your way out the quiet academy, through the still awake garrison, and to Pierce a great distance away from the sanctum of the Korriban School for Wayward Sith.

Thin-blood master.

"Pierce." You greet, sitting by him. "Still sulking, huh?"

Only goal in life taken.

"Time to find a new one, like I said."

To do, I do not know.

"Well, tha—" Dim lights illuminating the otherwise starlight-filled sky draw your eye. "...What the bloody hell."

The tuk'ata lifts himself up only to be pushed against the sand by you as you join him.

Thin-blood master?

"Spacecraft. It's only legal to land on Korriban through shuttle to designated landing spots or with special clearance. The armada we have in orbit ensures practically any ship that tries to gets blown to oblivion, but this ship is landing far too close to the academy to have special clearance."

I do not understand.

You slap a hand to your forehead as you remember you're talking to the equivalent of a barely sentient primitive. "People who shouldn't be here are."

The ship gradually makes its true small-sized presence known the more it comes closer to reaching the ground.

Staring at what you think would be its landing sight, your blood runs cold almost like it did back in Ajunta Pall's tomb.

Two cowled figures that are yet feel somewhat like they should not be are walking towards the ship's landing spot.

For some strange reason, you feel like you know what will await you if you follow them.

Good to know what their intentions are and how the hell they managed to get past the fleet in orbit. It couldn't hurt to call up Nox either. You'd call in your apprentices but it'd be better if you knew just what your odds are before you send them in a possible death trap. With any luck, this is just a case of a few odd smugglers getting lucky.

You close your eyes and focus your mind on the presences within the interior of the ship.

Two somewhat empty-feeling people, one man and one woman, along with a robot are aboard the vessel.

—ways with the... Oh, you followed them too.

Mr. Probably-Not-A-Smuggler Man sighs inwardly.

Go back to your academy before I kill you. Doesn't matter if you tell anyone what you saw here. Just leave with your life, and you can carry on being fodder for the Sith Empire.

You furrow your brow.

Who are you?

Nobody you should concern yourself with. I can tell you're powerful the way you're reading my mind, but that doesn't matter. Just let sleeping dogs lay down and rest.

While it'd be foolish and a waste of time to measure dicks with this complete stranger, your nature as a man compels you to shit-talk and wave your big dick around. The guy's practically waving his around already. You can't deny that challenge as a man. Clearly, you must wave your dick harder than you ever have.

Do you know who I am? What attention you've gotten since I just so happened to follow your two spies?

A scoff spits in the man's mind.

I don't care if you're the Force-damned Emperor or his wrath.

You laugh.

Funny you should say that.

Taking a deep breath, you focus on the minds of the two figures. It's difficult to concentrate on their minds rather than the emptiness of their beings, but it eases as you slip your will over theirs. Your mind pours over theirs, absorbing whatever it can.

You/They are Miraluka named Cerna and Scien of a planet named Vykun.

They're/You're with their/your uncle Lax, the man on the ship and a master of Ataru, after you/they heard someone gossiping about your people in the market place.

"They call us the Cult of the Eyeless.

He scoffs. "An inaccurate name. Though I doubt grandmother would dispute it."

"Was she really once a Jedi?

"You shouldn't speak or ask of such things." Lax sighs. "She was once... She was also a Sith, really more of a Dark Jedi but still. Do not ask her or anyone else in the family."

"So great grandfather was one as well?"

The force-like rendition of his face scowls. "That's enough. Do not even think of him lest you... Nevermind, you wouldn't understand. Just know he is a great, powerful man.""

"Is?"

"Hold!" A Sith commands them/you at a marketplace they/you were shopping at for gifts to your/their family members. "What is wrong with...

Their/Your will commands the Force to hide your irregularities.

"Oh, you are merely strange Force sensitives, Miraluka at that. You'll make fine acolytes."

You recoil as they force you out of their mind.

A cult-like group of force sensitive Miraluka descended from a side-flipping Jedi, the new and most peculiar group of enemies you've now most definitely made.

Tons of questions are now on your mind. You can try mind raping the twins again, but you know it'd be harder to do that this time. It's not like they know much other than their family being a tribe of strange force-users who have lightsabers and know the forms. Like the Jedi sects that long split off from the Republic's, they're alien in a fascinating way.

What the hell is wrong with you Miraluka? Why do you all feel like you shouldn't exist?

Some of us are born more unique than other force sensitives, acolyte. It's not our fault we're so gifted in comparison to your 'normal' self. Guess we have to cope with the fact we can't die for the Emperor like a beaten pet like you.

A hum chimes in your throat.

So you used the Force to get past the armada?

That goes without saying, doesn't it?

You blink.

It is somewhat obvious but not even the Empire is immune to corruption. You could very well still have a mole somewhere up in orbit. Even if it's inconsequential in the long run, it doesn't hurt to plug leaks.

Lax, buddy old pal, just turn around leave.

...So you read their minds, huh?

Is it that obvious?

You're not making me pilot this ship into the planet so yeah.

Raising a hand to your chin, you stroke it ever so maliciously.

That would be an amazingly great dick move on your part to prove yours' superiority.

Can't we alchemize a blade?
>>

>>

>>
>>4328687
Lets alchemcize a blade. Just to be safe.

A master of Attaru eh, well shit
>>
>>4328762
And by that, I mean alchemize two blades weaved with Cortis.

Now a master of Ataru have +5 to opening acrobatic attacks, attacking and defending against specific targets as well as another +3 to acrobatic attacks and fighting a single person.
Meaning that should he attack us, he is fighting with a +8 modifier.

Meanwhile we are an expert in juyo which goes as follows, +3 to attacking and defending against a single target along with +2 to attacking against a mans flanks. However we also have formless giving us +4 to this so our basic operating modifier is +7 plus reenforcement for an extra 4, but I dunno if he is also as good with it as we are.

A question for the QM, is does formless apply to juyo's "Complete assurance strike"?
>>
>>4328764
You can't use formless with any fighting style.

Grandmaster Formless trumps all other grandmastery forms by giving you a whopping +10 modifier to all attacks and manuevers, coming out at +15 overall to every attack and maneuver.
>>
>>4328771
Ah. It's it's own style, not like sorcery.
I got a bit confused. So yeah we are basically working at +3 without renforcement.
Well, at least we have 1/10 chance of insta-killing the master with assured strike.

Lets see if we have to put the claim "any adept of juyo can kill a master of any other form"
>>
>>4328777
With a well done strike.

It's actually a +1 Modifier at your level. Daddy Caeles has a +3 Modifier at Grandmastery. You are striking a completely assured blow, I had to 'balance' that somehow.
>>
>>4328777
>>4328781
And reinforcement doesn't work with it, being a completely skill-based attack. Would be too broken otherwise.

The inspiration I took for it from lore specified how the assurance of the blow traded power, which is why the damage outcome is almost completely random with some modification by your skill level.
>>
>>4328781
As I said, it's a 1 in 10 chance.
We either roll a 20 or a 19, guy dies.
18 or 17, guy loses his arm
16 or 15 and it "just" greatly wounds him.

so 4/20 = 2/10 = 1/5 chance to end the fight in one go. 3 in 10 chance to get a great lick in anyway.
>>
Well, worst come to worst we do have a fair number of tuk'ata who could more then even out the score. They are supposed to be quite dangerous, no? And even if not I'd like to see the man who can manage a lightsaber duel while half a dozen demon hounds are nipping at his heels.
Especially if Ataru is as specialist towards duels as it seems
>>
Oh, and looking at the sheet it would seem that Ataru is at a severe disadvantage against blaster fire.
I know we are decent shots, but do we have our weapons or have they been taken from us to make it at least a little difficult to murder other acolytes and to ensure a focus on melee combat and force powers?
>>
>>4328792
Ataru is the "jump around, don't get hit as you slice them to ribbons" style.

Makashi is the duelist style. The only real problem at this point would be how long would it take for the dogs to get to us.

>>4328795
All our shit got confiscated by dad, including our lightsabers.
>>
>>4328797
I'm aware of the general idea for the various styles (more or less anyway) but the stats for Ataru involves phrasings like " defending or attacking a specific opponent"

Implying that they very much prefer having to deal with only one person at a time, meaning that unless we see more glory in honourable combat then we do in winning, involving others would be preferable. And compared to everyone else the tuk'ata are both comparatively expendable and easy to rouse into action.
>>
>>4328801
Fair. The only real reason to not let them escape is because they are already acolytes. They cannot be allowed to spread knowledge of the academies layout as well as mock the empire with their escape, and the prestige this will give us. So running down the kids should force the big bastard into action, summoning the tukatta should likewise aid us
>>

Indeed, the question is if we believe our three acolytes are capable enough not to get in the way and actually contribute when it comes down to that. And if we value their safety over the very Sith notion of trial by fire.
>>
>>4328807
Magnus was never an orthodox Sith in the first place.
Putting them in danger for no reason doesn't even make much sense I feel, since they would be much more like fodder than combatants.
>>
>>4328809
I would agree, but I'd prefer asking the question rather then stating fact. We already sent them on the somewhat difficult task of hunting down another acolyte, there is no need to push them further at this point.

It does come nicely into a circle too, as Magnus does what he preaches and goes after someone potentially very dangerous indeed.
I'm really curious to see if pride does indeed come before fall in our case.

>[X] What kind of family doesn't even know the names of its still living founders?
>[X] Follow them, may as well now.

Still more questions left on your mind that you wouldn't mind answers to. Doubt you'll get anything concrete, but it's better than nothing. You'll keep on this dangerous path even if you do end up having to throw down with a master of Ataru. Formlessness won't work at your current level, which means you have to rely on your Juyo.

You tilt your head.

What kind of family doesn't even know the names of its still living founders?

Again, Lax scoffs within the confines of his mind.

I'm not giving you anything that you haven't ripped from my nieces' minds.

Not even if I think pretty please?

Especially not.

Clucking your tongue, you rise and continue following the undisturbed Miraluka twins.

They walk on for several minutes before the spaceship finally lands before them.

You crouch, close your eyes, dig your hands into the sand, form two cortosis-weaved blades with alchemy, and pull them out by their expertly formed handles.

A ramp extends down from the ship into the sands of Korriban. The door above it opens to reveal a white-eyed man staring out into nothing, a lightsaber held in his right hand. His blind eyes seem to turn to you even if it's really his head doing the work.

Groaning, your grip on your new blades tightens.

You really want to fight him even if he would fuck you up.

Another thing, if he does just want the girls back then he may agree to us just wiping their minds of the memory of this place.

Unlikely given that he doesn't trust us, but we can always offer.
>>
>>4328826
I don't know if we can do that at this point, if we hadn't informed Nox then yea, maybe. But we did and reporting something like "Yea, we let them go without a fight or doing anything to stop it" (because she will rip that information straight out of our mind) is near guaranteed to be used to not only make us look bad, but to make our father look bad.
Which will not be a pleasant experience for us.

Even if you really want to duel this guy, it doesn't hurt to have a backup plan if things go awry. You can't fight two masters at the same time either. Least you can do is stop those girls from going any further to that spacecraft. You're better off waiting for Nox to ever wake up, but you can't because you'd rather die than rely on her for something like this.

Oh my t'akatan, it's time to help your master.

A chorus-like feedback of howls thrums throuh your mind.

You march down from your dune perch and cluck your tongue. "Girls, get back to the academy! I need to have a talk with your uncle."

"He will kill you," the twins state in unison.

"Well, let's not count our eggs before they've hatched."

They shake their heads. "You will die."

You roll your eyes at the blinds. "What did I just say?"

"Meaningless bravado."

A sigh escapes your lips.

Leave it to women to stomp on a man's righteous dick-waving.

"There's someone else on board! You come out too!"

"Kid." Lax laughs. "You really have a death wish. Just go back to your academy. What are you losing here if you let my nieces go?"

"A lot of things..."

"Like what?"

"...You know."

"I seriously don't."

"Oh to hell with you, you know I just can't let you leave."

"Explain it to me."

You twitch.

If you had just kept all this business to yourself, you could let them go without any real issue other than some weird Miraluka cult knowing how your academy operates.

While we are in effect stalling for time, I don't think the bitch is gonna rise to shit talking.

I feel like we should also ask about the woman's combat capabilities, but I can't think of a way to make it flow naturally with my suggested comment.
>>

Honestly I wanna just let em go.
Nox will forget about it, and we can probably mind wipe the tuk'ata about summoning them, or have a fight with them or something.
>>
>>4329812
True, we gain absolutely nothing by stopping them. It would be better to let them fly and then try to mindfuck the pilot into crashing.

But that being said, for the reasons outlined above, I do think that a duel would serve us good. We may actually beat him, in which case yay for us, we just bested a master of another form [which could give us an XP to our next rank of juyo] or we get a genuine challenge on this planet that isn't complete suicide or a wave of lesser foes.
So long as he doesn't instantly cut us down like wheat before the scythe, our tukatta should appear before he can make a deathblow, at which point we can say "hey, we did our level best to stop them, why the fuck did you let him land on this planet you morons."

I mean, Magnus isn't really a guy who's prideful, the opposite in fact.
And any time he's put himself into real danger there was a tangible benefit to him at the end of his success.
We don't really get anything out of this that we won't get if we train elsewhere, and these people haven't really done anything that egregious that it would compromise our position at the academy if we let them go.
>>
>>4329812
perhaps, but the way I see it Magnus is supremely confident and a fair pit prideful, not to mention this very pressing need to prove oneself.

I'm just having a hard time seeing someone like that backing down until he has had an actual humbling experience.
>>
>>4329853
He is confident, yes.
But that's because he knows how strong he is, not because he holds pride in his power or position, he's fully aware of how strong people can be, and how he compares to them.
The dude got trained by getting beaten to the verge of death by his father regularly, I'd say he's had plenty of humbling experiences.
The failure of our telekinesis, Juyo, or pain tolerance are more recent experiences, but probably pale in comparison to the ones he's had in the past.
>>
>>4329844
The benefit in this dual is the potential level up from victory, as well as stalling their leaving. And when we have an army of force enhanced murder dogs, we won't be in any real danger any longer.

The two big things I can also see, from a mental level, that are opposed to backing down is the VERY recent incident of fucking up in the tomb and losing our training sabers, Which was humiliating in the extreme.
And the second was informing Nox, who will simply compound this failure into a humiliating failure if we don't at least make a bit of effort towards beating this bitch to death.

As a last, final drop in the bucket, we are an expert in Juyo. We CAN win or at least stall until backup arrives. If we were not at least an expert, I would have said "Alright yeah, we have no real chance here, lets pack it up and go home". I would have preferred to face him as a master of the form but life gives you lemons.
>>
>>4329862
We also started out by complaining how this whole academy thing is entirely beneath us, decided to style on everyone by doing the first trial without weapons, etc etc.

It's not simply that we know how strong we are, we know that we are better. That we are born and bred to be something greater then basically every living being on this planet, if nothing else, and has had that probably quite literally beaten into us.

At no point have we shown any hint of being humble, but we have shown more then an inclination to purposefully seek out dangerous situations for no other reason then to prove that we can indeed overcome them.
>>
>>4329883
It was to do all of the trials without weapons to make it somewhat challenging actually. It's just the things which we have been doing recently are not part of those trials, so the self imposed restriction doesn't apply.

And facing this man without a saber or sword is actual suicide.
>>
>>4329876
I don't really see much difference in:
'Oh Magnus, you lovable dumbass, you let them go? Was the intruders dick that much bigger than yours? Aww, don't get upset, the size is still fine to me.'
compared to:
'Oh Magnus, you needed a horde of Tuk'ata to deal with the intruders? And they still got away? How much has your penis shrunk? Performance enhancers really do make the difference I guess.'

We do have a 10% chance to end him immediately, but with how we've been rolling this thread I'm less inclined to excessive risk.

>>4329883
Just because you're not humble doesn't make you prideful.
Remember that while Magnus is the oldest, he does have siblings that can replace him if he goes kaput.
>>
>>4329931
Both of those do make me feel pain, true but it's a 20% chance for an instant win [disarm as well as death] with 30% giving as good as we get. A little bit of faith and three anons rolling with the dice gods is all we need.

I'll say this though, since I will probably pass out before the next vote comes up/is closed. If we do dual him and we don't make any major fuckups, then win or lose I'm content with whatever happens to the miriluka and shuttle.
So long as we get some chance to show being competent, then it's all good.
>>
>>4329931
where was this sense of practicality when we decided not to bring a weapon into the tomb?
Or when we decided to go dungeon crawling in another?

Or headed out into the desert because we had a hunch about the cat? Or the Tukata?

These are not the actions or the mindset of a careful person who thinks things through and carefully weighs his options. These are the actions of someone who goes "I'm going to do this, blame yourself if you get in my way"

Everything he does oozes of pride, in who he is, how strong he is. In his ancestry which he aspires to be worthy of, in the supremacy of his fathers philosophy and teachings.
>>
>>4329956
Trying to classify Magnus is looking to be a fools errand. Curse those sith who don't follow the stereotypes.

And the second dungeon crawl for Tulak Hord was very practical. We needed a holocron to improve our Juyo
>>
>>4329956
Not bringing a weapon into the tomb was to make the task somewhat more challenging for Magnus.
He aced it anyway.
You can carry yourself confidently and also know your limits.
When we went out into the desert we could alchemize the sand into water, and if we got really desperate we could ask the force for guidance to their oasis or to the academy.
When we went dungeon crawling we took Khem, and training sabers with us because we didn't think we could deal with whatever was in there alone.
>>
>[X] Stall for time, they should be here soon.

Now is not the time for you to jump straight into a fight where the odds are against you. Better to do that when you know your backup is in position though. For now, you'll bitchtalk the time away. You are a master shit-talker, so you best shit talk as much as you can.

"I lose a bit of pride and a good chance to test myself, advancing my training further. Not to mention, the lack of principles in allowing two acolytes to leave with knowledge of how the academy operates and acting like a coward allowing four criminals to escape after violating Imperial laws. That's what I lose." You spit on the ground and point a sword to it and the other at him. "So Get down here and duel me you eyeless scum or I'm coming up there where you can't use your style properly."

Lax holds his side with his free arm while the other ignites his lightsaber. "By the Force kid, you really do want to die."

"There is not a single part of me that intends to die on this haunted world."

"Intentions hardly ever match the reality though." He takes several steps forward to make sure his launching jump doesn't make him hit the side of the ship. "I mean, you are going to die the moment I bend my knees."

"No, the bat-Hawk swoop takes half a second at least."

"You haven't seen me use it, kid."

"Bet you can't take me without it."

"Even if I took it, you'd still lose."

A grin makes its way on your face. "So you're too much of a weak coward to go along with it."

"Oh, you son of a bitch." He takes several steps forward only to be stopped by his nieces.

"Uncle." They speak up in their usual unison. "With all do respect, we must be going now. We feel the presence of tuk'ata surrounding us."

Lax raises an eyebrow. "The hell are tuk'ata?"

"Dog-like beasts made or modified by Sith Alchemy. We've learned much in our time here."

"So a bunch of mangy mutts? I don't see the big deal."

"They can be the size of boulders."

"...Oh, now that sounds troublesome."

You cluck your tongue.

>[X] "Wow, your Ataru must really suck then."
>[X] Alchemize your blade into pure cortosis, it'll short out his lightsaber for a time on contact.

It's rather underhanded and unlike you to do something like this, but you're at a disadvantage and at the end of your rope right now. Not like you plan on killing him in that split second his lightsaber shorts out: you just want to maybe stab him a little. The two of you can duke it out some other time when you're properly equipped and more experienced in Juyo or Formlessness.

Enough thinking, time for one final shit talking.

"Wow, your Ataru must really suck then."

The man stops himself from turning around to glare at you with his blind eyes. "You really don't know when to shut up, do you?"

"Hey, it's not my fault your 'mastery' of Ataru is the equivalent of a blind child's."

Cerna and Scien seem to huff. "He's only goading you, uncle."

"I know, I just want to kill him." The Miraluka's grip on his saber handle tightens.

"...Uncle."

"Just give me a minute."

"A minute?" You raise an eyebrow. "Don't you mean an hour? I bet it'd take more than that for a 'master' like you to kill me. I could parry your swings with my bare hands; I don't even need these swords." Again, you grin as you change your blades into pure cortosis. "You're an amateur."

The metal ramp Lax is standing on is imprinted with the shape of his boots when he takes off at you.

Raising a single blade, you short out his lightsaber before it can cut you in half and tighten your grip on the other one.

Now's your chance, if you really want to further aggravate the Magnus-Eyeless tensions.

>>
>>4330769

>>
>>4330774
What do you mean by mind wiping them after.
If we don't let em go now, the Tuk'ata will show up, or Nox will, and their fate will be sealed.
>>
>>4330775
The tukata are for dealing with the master of the blade we just shanked. That is hardly fate sealing.
And if Nox shows up then it doesn't matter anyway they shouldn't have let us stall for so long.
>>
>>4330780
What, are we really going to let him leave with his life if the Tuk'ata show up?
Isn't that the opposite of the point of calling them in was?
>>
>>4330769
I'm voting no on that one chief.

>>4330775
Ok, first of all: Why do we care about their safety so much that we're willing to let them go rather then potentially getting hurt?
Their physical well being is a lot less important then the potential gains from us preventing this incursion.
>>
>>4330785
What gains exactly?
Great, we prevent some nobodies from leaving with two other nobodies.
I say if they have people willing to take them in then let em go, there are plenty of other desperate people across the galaxy that can become apprentices here.
>>
>>4330784
The point of calling them in was because Ataru is a form which is great against single targets, and if he gets some good licks in then we may be fucked. But an army vs a man ends with the man dead.

I'm not for letting them go anyway but if everyone else is set on it then I would be pushing for removing the information on the academy from their heads.
>>
>>4330789
The only currency which matters to us: Reputation.

These are people sneaking into one of the most sacred places to our people, to abduct someone given the chance to join our esteemed order. It doesn't matter if we it like that or not, that will be the official story and everyone will have to applaud our efforts or lose face.
Not to mention we get to test ourselves against a proper opponent (something we've very much lacked during our stay here) and, equally important, we might get our hands on a proper lightsaber... Making us ever so much more dangerous if need be

And if those twins wants to leave they can do so as everyone else: as sith.

>>4330790
Naah mate, it's just the one guy who wants to let them go for reasons.
>>
>>4330792
I hate to say it mate, but I think we lost that test when we goaded him into attacking, then pulled a flip side and took his lightsaber away.

If he doesn't go down though, we still have it.
>>
>>4330794
...What test?
What do you see that I do not.
>>
>>4330792
We have lightsabers on Domund Kass though?
We just didn't take them here because Dad said so.
And we aren't even fighting this guy in an honorable duel, we're going to cheapshot him, and are about to use crowd tactics to stymie any resistance he can put up.

I'm also pretty sure Magnus thinks most Sith are completely nuts though, and he's even considered letting them go because he doesn't really care about it that much.
We're also pretty solid on the reputation front simply by being Dad's son, not sure how this escapade would compare to reviving the ancient art of beast taming, or unearthing the tomb of Tulak Hord.
>>
>>4330796
"Not to mention we get to test ourselves against a proper opponent"

We disarmed him with cortis, then stabbed him in the gut with a metal sabre. I doubt that he can continue to fight after that sneaky 1-2 move.

>>4330798
It won't compare much, but it is still a nice boost. In all honesty the lightsaber trophy would do us more of a boon in terms of rep
>>
>>4330798
Yes, but we're not on Dromund Kaas now are we?
And we continuously paint quite a target on ourselves, not to point out that it would quite impress just about everyone is we go to Korriban without a weapon, but return with one as a trophy.

Mate, if you can't see how killing a not-jedi master sneaking into Korriban compares to kicking some puppies I really don't know what to say.

There is no such thing as an honourable duel, there is testing yourself against someone else and seeing who comes out on top.

>>4330799
I mean, yes, but that just means we're fighter smart rather then hard. No need to be stupid to satisfy some urge.
>>
>>4330809
Smarter not harder sure, but that isn't the point. The drawback to winning like this is that we don't get to use and demonstrate our juyo properly, which is what the test would be. Our Juyo vs his Ataru.

I'm not saying we made the wrong choice, I'm simply saying that we made the choice which loses the chance to genuinely test our form.
>>
>>4330816
Yea, alright, that's perfectly fair.
Good point tho, it is something of a character defining moment.
>>
>>4330809
There's a difference between being stupid and pitting specific skills against someone better than you in an attempt to outdo them.
Being able to say you defeated a master at Ataru by crowding him with enemies, or using a surprise with a blade that disarmed him momentarily will net us points, sure.
But it would've been better for our growth if we'd used our Juyo on him.
Reputation may be important, but power is still what Sith look at to determine your worth.
>>

Better, no we'd probably be dead.

>>
>>4330837
I don't like them for one thing. Something about their blankness and their dismissal of our abilities rubs me the wrong way.
There is also the point that if they leave, then they will be working for a group that is not aligned with the sith empire, which doesn't serve us, then finally we just stabbed their uncle. Which if they or the pilot escapes, would now mean that we have earned the ire of a cult of people who split off from the jedi and really know how to swing a lightsaber.
>>
>>4330840
It's not like they're wrong though, if we decided to face him with lightsaber skill 7/10 times he defeats us.
They already dislike the Sith, as evidenced by the way the master was referring to us as fodder for the emperor.
I'd say leaving them on the planet after capturing their ship would more likely gain their ire, since they obviously had some method to communicate with the two on planet, and now the cult would have lost more than just the two twins.

Eh, you didn't bitch-talk him all the way to this point to not maybe stab him in entrails a bit. He'll live, though he'll be in a great amount of pain for the next few hours. You're still not entirely sure this is a good idea, but you really want to do this and take the nieces back to the academy with you just cause.

Lax freezes in place, staring at the shorted-out lightsaber in his hand without actually seeing it with his wide eyes.

You turn your blade towards his navel and jab him right in the entrails.

The miraluka doesn't seem to feel or even care as you pull your pure cortosis sword out of him.

"...Are you okay, old buddy old pal?" Tilting your head, a hum chimes in your throat. "You seem like you straight up died on your feet."

"How?"

The sand sifts under your feet while you take several steps back. "Ancient Sith arts. I don't expect a peasant from a fledgling Force cult to understand."

"Why does an acolyte like you have cortosis swords?"

"I made them out of sand." You shrug. "Pretty easy once you understand the gist of it."

"...What?"

"See? Peasants like you just can't understand."

Another odd presence steps out from the spacecraft.

You side-step out from behind Lax to see a young woman with ruby lips on the ramp now.

"With my brother's insides now having a space they can be seen through, I can safely presume your 'cock-fighting' is done?"

Clucking your tongue, you force push Lax back towards the ship.

He's caught in mid-air and settled on some sand below the metal ramp.

You raise an eyebrow.

Now you're facing someone with no lightsaber who likely isn't going to fall for your cortosis trick.

Either a liability or a chance to give us an opening. Odds are that a force user will be less of an immediate threat to them compared to lightsaber wounds (And if she can kill that easily we will need something to distract her and spread her focus as thinly as possible).

Hell, just having them threaten the brother may very well be a fully valid tactic here. Either way if she tries to heal him we should strike as best we can.

>>4331852
Let's not perform any alchemy while the Miraluka are watching, no need to potentially give them any clues.
>>
>>4331859
Dont stop at the brother. Ordering the tukatta to savage the girls as well will split her attention further, which she will take to save her family.

Hopefully with reinforcement we can clear the distance in a flash. But she is probably a master or grand master of mind, we should be prepared to defend our mind and those of the tukatta she would turn on us.

Potency is going to be used here, I feel
>>
>>4331863
That is vicious, cruel and quite possibly necessary to ensure our survival. Good thinking, and yea, potency may be needed.

Honour is reserved for those we respect, our equals and in a location with witnesses. When facing our superiors, skill and cunning is the order of the day.

I also want to give Nox another call, but this woman will likely hear us, so we can't risk it. Lets just hope that "Soon" means "Soon enough to come and duel this crazy bitch who is threatening to mind rape my boytoy. Only I mind rape my boytoy".
Not that I don't think we can't win, it's just that I prefer to have contingencies. Lots and lots of contingencies.

Just one after the other here in this lonely spot in the desert. Next thing you know, you'll be facing down with Grandmaster Onasi. It's just this woman and her wounded brother for now though. Just a shame you'll have to do this whole song and dance thing again.

"The correct term you're looking for is a dickwaving competition."

"Yes." The woman sighs. "That crass activity you men are so fond of."

A smile returns to your lips. "You do understand I can't just let your nieces go, don't you?"

"It is not that you cannot: it is that you will not."

"Come again?"

"Two acolytes escaping is inconsequential. They may have information about the academy, but we have no interest or knowledge of who to present this knowledge to for it to be used in a harmful manner. Acolytes are expendable here as well. I can tell by the spirits in the air. While we have entered the planet unlawfully, our kin was taken for no other reason than their force sensitivity. Little harm exists in letting us go unless you have informed someone of our presence. If you capture us... you may bring ruin to this place."

You scoff. "Do you really think your family can take this planet or the academy when Dark Council members are present?"

"They are not always present and our best may be more than a match for them. We are already more than a match for you without trickery. The horde of beasts you called for are still at the academy thanks to a command I issued in the same vein of your thoughts." She shakes your head. "Your pride made it easy."

A groan churns in your throat.

Of course your back-up plan got hijacked.

"...The girls didn't drive me out of their minds: you did before I could see what they knew of you and the others."

Ms. Miraluka nods. "Though it wasn't entirely my doing. The emptiness you feel in us brings forth a painful memory of something many living beings and force users cannot comprehend. You would've been forced back eventually."

You sigh.

Nothing ever goes as planned.

I'm also pretty sure they possess wounds in the force like the exile did.

I'm thinking that with this woman, she may be inclined to a "Give and take". We want information And possibly her brothers lightsaber as a trophy which is equal in value to her daughters/nieces, then we can leave with a gain.

Or we can try fucking with her, but I am suddenly less confident our blade can take off her head before her head disarms us.

Really, she shouldn't expect you to not voice your disbelief at all of this. They are literal no ones in this big wide galaxy, and she expects you to believe her when she says her clan can demolish Korriban. You're not exactly sure she'd be willing to leave with bygones being bygones after you stomach-stabbed her brother. If things were reversed, you know you wouldn't. Couldn't hurt for you to try and learn who the founders were either, even if she doesn't give you a straight answer.

"You can hardly expect me to believe your criminal claims of utter decimation."

"Not at face value, but my utter belief in my promises of retribution in spite of your kind's power should give you some insight."

A groan churns in your throat. "Why should I believe you mean no harm?"

"For the same reason you should believe in my promises of retribution: the faith in my words." Ms. Miraluka smiles. "There is no need for anyone to die or risk further injury. Blood has been spilled, blood has been taken, and you can repay your debt to my family by returning my nieces."

"Names have power, woman, who were your founders?"

"I could speak of them, but you wouldn't recognize either. To even think of one's will bring their attention to this place in this moment of time. If they were ever to realize their kin is being kept here, retribution beyond retribution would come. Let them return home with us, acolyte."

"Who are they?"

"Little I could tell you that you don't already know."

You furrow your brow.

It's like she's the more well-adjusted version of Nox in her vague answers that only raise more questions.

>[X] "Why do you speak of that person like I should know them?"
>[X] "...Just go. But I'm taking that lightsaber."

Still one very big question left on your mind regarding her and her complicated-sounding family. The likeliness of you receiving a straight answer is what it usually is, but she can at least point you in the right direction with any luck. At the very least, you'll get a lightsaber and some cred for bitchmaking some odd Force cult master. You will feel ashamed you couldn't keep the girls here though. It's just how you are.

"Why do you speak of that person like I should know them?"

"Because you do." Ms. Miraluka shakes her head. "I will speak of him no more lest I disturb him, wherever he is."

"He?"

The woman stays silent, ruby lips pressed firmly together.

A sigh escapes your lips.

If only you were strong enough to face off with them without trickery or a horde of tuk'ata to back you.

"...Just go." You force the lightsaber out of Lax's still shocked hands into the air by your hip. "But I'm taking that lightsaber."

"Hey!"

Ms. Miraluka laughs. "Now now, Lax, you lost."

"To a dirty trick!" He clenches his free, non-wound-holding hand into a fist.

"Uncle," the twins speak, moving up the ramp, "you still lost."

"...Dammit."

"Any time, any place, miraluka." You return your blades to sand, move his saber hilt to the tip of your finger, and spin it with the Force. "I know we'll meet each other again: life tends to be like that. Win, I'll give this back to you. Lose, you already know."

Lax spits and grins. "Don't be surprised if I kill you."

"We'll see."

You watch as the eyeless enter the spacecraft before it takes off again to the endless void above.

Pierce walks past your legs and looks up at you.

Master is pleased?

Gripping the lightsaber hilt, you frown.

There is still so much room for you to improve on.

Once we have finished our hunt and conversations, I suggest we go practice formless a bit more. That or sorcery, get them up to "Advanced" level. Priority should be Formless ----> sorcery ----> alchemy

>[X] Nox, were you somehow watching all of this?

You need something to take your mind off all of this crazy Miraluka family cult business. Killing something and making a delicious breakfast out of it is usually your first thought when you're in wilderness like a desert, which you are in right now. Couldn't hurt to figure out the structure of a lightsaber either while you're out here.

"Let's go hunting. I could use something to do right now."

Pierce growls.

We will feast.

Nodding, you close your eyes and focus your mind on the lightsaber in your hand.

The laser sword's frame and components are easily memorized by your mind but the focusing blue crystal eludes your understanding.

You toss the saber into the air, pull it apart with the Force so all but the crystal are levitating, and catch the sapphire-like gem before it can hit the ground.

Master?

Ignoring your beast, you cluck your tongue.

This was something you saw happening. Unlike the rest of the components of a lightsaber, the focusing gem is connected somehow to the Force. It's either going to take a deeper knowledge of alchemy or sorcery to construct one of them.

Pierce looks up to you, pulling his ears back.

You throw the gem back up and pull the lightsaber together before petting your loyal alchemical dog.

If only you could learn everything after seeing it.

Blinking, you look back to the academy.

Nox, were you somehow watching all of this?

...Hmm? You were thinking something?

A sigh escapes your lips before you depart.

The two of you trek through the dunes until Pierce tackles what seems to be the air and rips out its throat, revealing it to be a Hssiss.

You feel the air shift in your direction and side-step before one can leap at your throat. Making and reinforcing a fist, you crush the lizard's head as it falls back to Korriban. The last remaining lizard is not spared as it's cleaved in half by an ignited, force-thrown lightsaber.

Plopping yourself on the sand, you groan.

This still isn't enough to make the feeling of non-failure/non-success to go away.

It might not be a wise idea to tell your mother, but you don't know anyone else in a position to investigate that would listen to your requests. Doesn't hurt to ask your father either, him not really caring much about things outside his concern and knowing a lot about things in general. May as well try and prod your Sith Alchemy dog's mind too: it doesn't hurt to know more about Sith's best friend.

Father, what kind of Force user feels like they shouldn't exist?

The silence of your mind persists until the familiar presence of your progenitor makes itself known.

Usually, they're the result of intense Dark Side influence. Others are sometimes born as strange anomalies in the Force. Their place of birth often is somewhere steeped in the Dark Side or a wound in the Force. I've heard that there are some beings that are wounds in the Force in of themselves, like Revan's shadow general. I cannot give you anything concrete other than speculation.

You hum.

Better than nothing, but still.

Mother, there are a cult of Force users on Vykun. All are Miraluka and part of the same family. Don't purge them but have agents keep eyes on them and gather information. I want to know everything about them and take care of them myself.

The ever present warmth of a mother's love fills your mind.

Of course, dear! I'd ask how you know of them, but I can tell that's a sore spot. My best apprentices will be dispatched to observe them or die at their hands, maybe mine if they fail you.

You twitch and shake your head.

If it's strange for you to have such an odd loving mother, you wonder how it's like for your half-siblings, who weren't even incubated in her room yet still targets of her love.

"Pierce, what is it you want in life?"

The beast walks up and over you, looking down into your eyes.

Pups and power.

You purse your lips.

At least it's a somewhat achievable goal, even if it's no longer the ideal.

"This isn't enough.' Kicking yourself back up to your feet, a frown forms on your face. "We're hunting a Terentatek."

Pierce whimpers.

Tarantakata?

You raise an eyebrow at the beast. "That's what you call it?"

Thin-blood master unwise. Tarantakata no hunt under void light. In caves, old strong-blood tombs, Tarantakata sleep.

"I know. We're going to go back to one of the tombs and find one to kill."

The beast pulls back his ears before he returns his attention to his recently murdered hssiss.

It is practically suicide without a lightsaber, but you have one now. Not to mention, you can break its mind if you so wished. Might make for a great final test of sorts for your time here in a physical battle. Better you take the time to improve your formlessness or Juyo before that.

Despite not really being relevant at the moment, you are curious what tuk'ata are like from outside Paradise. They're remarkably servile in comparison to Pierce and his ilk. It just might be because of your powerful will though. Still, couldn't hurt to learn more about Sith's best friend in this haunted hell-hole of a desert planet.

"How are other t'akatan societies different than Paradise?"

Chaos. No Mighty Queen to keep peace among t'akatan.

You lift your head to look at Pierce munching on his lizard. "Any really unique ones?"

The Good Boy rips a piece of scaled meat from the scaly beast.

Silent Monks, t'akatan who do not speak. Do not fight, do not rut, and do not eat. Strange t'akatan. Await old-blood masters, Pierce thinks.

Raising an eyebrow, you hum.

Sounds like you may want to look into that sometime.

"Ever fight a Tarantakata or are you just scared of fairy tales?"

Pierce whimpers and shivers.

Tarantakata kill old tribe when pup. All die and forgotten. One of five pups to survive.

You blink.

Now that makes his out-of-character fear make sense.

"If you're so scared, I can just get Red Fang to come with me."

Red Fang will die. Thin-blood master, I do not know.

You furrow your brow.

It's actually kind of sad to hear that from him of all tuk'ata.

No harm in trying to get to know more about your ever faithful Good Boy. It's really quite a bummer to see him scared and hopeless like this. Best try to cheer him up with some good old fashioned banter. That never stops making you a happy smug Sith of noble birth.

"Weren't the tuk'ata of your pack from your old tribe?"

Pierce shakes his head.

From different tribes. Outcasts, survivors, and lone wanderers.

In line with what you know of Pierce but still somewhat a surprise. He seems the tribalistic, family-loving type. The Good Boy's dream is and was to have the most powerful pups that ever were. Maybe that's still possible with a little bit of alchemy.

"T'akatan, Nagasadowan, Tarantakata." You chuckle. "So many adorable beast-like degenerations of our language you've made."

Time passes and changes, like sand. Dunes moves, cliffs crumble, and bones become sand. Language become sand too, only slower.

A hum rumbles in your throat.

That is awfully insightful from that beast of all beings.

You lift up the other hssiss corpses with the Force and start walking towards the academy.

Pierce chimps down on his own prey before dragging its corpse alongside you and yours.

The two of you make your way from the far-off sands, back to the academy garrisons, and into the academy proper.

You take a few steps toward the direction of the stairs before remembering you have a few still-bleeding corpses in your party's possession. Beckoning Pierce, you return to the cafeteria kitchens where you helped make your acolytes' breakfast.

It would be easy for you to make a late night breakfast bite for yourself, but you could just skip straight to training. Hunger can paradoxically help one focus more on something to ignore the fact they're starving. Lax probably can't eat anything until he gets his guts checked and cleaned of the contents of his intestines spilling out into his abdominal cavity, funny enough.

>[X] "Can your kind eat cooked meat? I mean, most animals can, though they've evolved to prefer and withstand raw meet."
>[X] Head up to Nox's for the holocron, it is the one thing of true value up there.

For some weird reason, you feel the need to discuss cuisine with your not-so-furry friend. A noble survivalist like you has a refined palate of internal organs, sweet fruits, and rich greens. Barbarians such as your Good Boy seem to only eat meat when they can. While you enjoy dining off another being's expense as much as the next guy, it does get tiring and stale at times, especially without anything to eat on the side.

"Can your kind eat cooked meat?" You turn and raise an eyebrow at your beastie. "I mean, most animals can, though they've evolved to prefer and withstand raw meet."

Never tried. Prefer bloodied meat.

You shrug before finding and stuffing your hssiss meat away in the cafeteria meat-locker.

Exactly what you expected him to think.

"I'm going to go upstairs to my 'Might Queen.' Either leave the hssiss here or die for trailing blood in her office and possibly bedroom."

Pierces bites out one of the lizard's eyes.

"Okay, see you later or in a couple of minutes." You walk out the cafeteria and make your way up to your lovely mistress'.

Seeing no holocron in sight, you venture into her bedroom and find it atop her nightstand. Every step you make towards it stirs your dearie, but she doesn't wake when you pick it up. Your tip-toeing back out from the bedroom is met with no reaction from your ever mischievous lover.

You head back down the academy stairs and find Pierce waiting for you down the first steps.

Pierce's legs twitch when you scratch him in-between his ears with your free hand.

A smile makes its way on to your face.

Dogs are always the same, even if they eat people.

I'm genuinely going to be shocked if we were just able to take it. Krem is probably waiting in the wings to cut our head off......Or maybe we just did get it that easily because we are allowed to do so.

>[X] "...Does something feel off to you? I shouldn't have gotten this thing so easily."

It is completely unlike Nox to let you get away with something that even somewhat slights her. Either she's planning some sort of grand revenge for when she's done sleeping or the anticipation you have of her potential revenge is her revenge. Khem could also be stalking you right now. In fact, Khem could have been stalking you the entire time you thought he was absent from Nox's quarters, which makes it weird when you consider a lot of those times included you two having sex.

You frown. "...Does something feel off to you? I shouldn't have gotten this thing so easily."

Pierce raises his head and sniffs.

No odd smell. No hunter looking for thin-blood master.

"Are you sure?" You turn your head to look back around.

Yes.

Blinking, you reach out with a hand and feel it touch something.

Khem materializes to slap it away before becoming see-through again.

"...Uh, should I pretend I didn't see you or?"

No words or signs of your mistress' alien make themselves known.

"Seriously, what on Korriban are you doing, Khem?"

The force-eater becomes visible. "...I wanted to see master Hord again, even a false recording of him."

"You could've just asked Nox, you do realize that right?"

"Master said I couldn't see it because I wanted to too much." He looks down.

Standing still, you fight down the urge to laugh.

He's like a more intelligent Pierce that lives to be ruled over.

Best stop him from further doing something that will piss off your shared mistress. She has one hell of a temper like that, unfortunately. Also, she is as petty as she is a pretty woman. You're thankful she can't read your mind anymore because she'd annoy you with the fact you just thought that.

"Tulak Hord's spirit is doing something very important. I assure you, he will speak to you when the time comes."

"Still, you claim so. I know you are not lying, but it's hard to believe."

You nod. "It was hard to believe myself when... Yeah."

Khem furrows his eyebrowless brow "Master's concubine?"

"Nevermind, I hardly understand myself."

"Your mind skipped, like a rock against a river surface."

"Just go back to Nox before she does what she does."

The Dashade nods and turns back as you sigh.

It's best not to think at all sometimes. You may think of extreme things that hurt to even think about in this odd reality. What your greatest ancestor discussed with you is one of them. Best not to think. Maybe it's best not to think at all.

Shaking your head, you make your way out the academy and back into the sands of Korriban, Pierce tailing from behind.

You seat yourself down and plant the holocron so Holo Hord can project himself.

"The fast learner returns. Shall we continue where we left off?"

A hum murmurs in your throat.

So many things, so little time.

Best of the first three D20s please.

You don't get a modifier because Formlessness is something only a master of all forms can normally learn. Your tenacity and crit roll got you two levels of advancement in already. Since Tulak Hord was a grandmaster of it in life, you'll get a full XP point or two if you succeed while critting.

Without a doubt, it is a style that can surpass or even rival Juyo. That is the contradiction of formlessness: a style that is not a style, but better than almost all styles. You want to learn it more than you want to learn more of the ancient arts even if it'd be easier. It's just the way you are.

"Let's train in formless some more."

Tulak Holo nods. "Very well, rise and draw your weapon."

You hop up, draw your new trophy, and press down on the activation button, springing forth a beam of blue plasma.

"A new weapon in your arsenal? Strange it bears the colors normally reserved for a Jedi."

"It came from an odd Force cultist...after I stabbed him in the gut with an alchemical cortosis sword I used to short it out."

"Deception and trickery." The hologram shakes its head. "You should not rely too much on such crutches: your combat skills will suffer."

You raise an eyebrow. "The same could be said if I relied entirely on forefront techniques."

"Indeed. There is, however, a learning advantage that comes with fighting at that disadvantage. By taking that advantage, you've taken away your own learning advantage from fighting with a disadvantage."

"Do you realize how confusing that sounds? I mean, I understand it but still."

"Nevermind, let us continue your training."

Several hours full of odd maneuvers, shadow dueling, and listening to Holok Hord pass for no real improvement on your formlessness to be made.

You collapse to the sand and groan.

"It took me mastering every form unlike any have before to achieve the perfected state of formlessness. Do not be too hard on yourself or surprised at your failure."

A sigh escapes your heaving chest.

It's still not good enough for you.

It takes 25 exp to gain a 4/20 chance to train our formless, which is 25 chances to get an 18, 19, 20.
I think that the maths supports just brute forcing formless.

May as well try something more academic since you're failing at a martial matter for once. It'd be fun and beyond convenient to be able to create lightsabers whenever you need one. You doubt it's that simple, but the idea is still rather fun. Besides, creating lightsabers from almost nothing is nothing compared to what Naga Sadow was said to be capable of with Sith Sorcery.

"Let's switch to sorcery, I wish to understand things like lightsaber crystals."

Holo Hord hums. "Lightsaber crystals are not complex but still the most perplexing force crystals in existence. Sith and Jedi alike are drawn to or led to a specific crystal that suits them. There are tales of some even growing more powerful along with their owner. How they came into existence or their purpose beyond being capable of channeling the force is a mystery."

"We don't look for lightsaber crystals anymore: we produce them synthetically." You raise your upper body. "Still interesting to hear. I might go to Illum to study them in person sometime. They're abundant there."

"Strange how the Sith have forgotten the ancient arts yet mimic them with technology."

Nodding, a chuckle thrums from your chest.

It's sad and almost hilarious how far your people have fallen.

"I'm guessing the next step in learning sorcery is manipulating the Force in objects?"

"Good guess. Manipulating the Force around yourself is how you get started and one of potentially the most dangerous appliances of sorcery. Using sorcery on objects and others is safer though far more complex."
>>
>(2/2)

"Alright." Sifting a hand through the sand, you transform the countless grains into priceless jewels. "Teach me."

The next several hours of your day are spent infusing the gems with Force power, ascribing minor reality-altering qualities to them, listening to Tulak lecture about the illusion of time, and what is effectively voodoo theory.

>Force Skill Improved: Basic Sith Sorcery -> Advanced Sith Sorcery - You can alter the functions of the Force in your body's vicinity, boosting your regeneration of force power and augmenting your force powers with a modifier equivalent of your sorcery ability. Objects like crystals, gems, and glass can be infused with the Force to further augment your abilities or restore your lost power. Individuals can be affected with Sith Sorcery positively and negatively if an item owned by them is in the caster's possession. Blood from someone precious, deeply affiliated, or related to the individual can also be used as a focusing object.

You plop yourself back on to the sand and levitate your Force infused gems in a circle above your head.

"So this is how Naga Sadow detonated a star..."

"I have no idea who that is, but that is possible with enough power and mastery over the Force. Destructive enough to get yourself killed in the progress, however."

A hum chimes in your throat.

The Force and its mysteries really are limitless.

Ways of channeling Force power. Potency gives you a massive boost at the cost of severely draining you. Force Mastery does the same but the boost is bigger and the effects of things like reinforcement, mind manipulation, and concealment last far longer.

The leap from basic and advanced to the higher echelons of ability is always wide to you. Little chance exists where learning alchemy would be any different, even if it is more academic than a full-fledged ability. If it actually easier, you'd imagine it'd at least take far more time to understand than what it took you to get the first two levels.

"What did you know of alchemy?"

"Many, many things. At my best, I could warp flesh and the foundations of which we are to a great degree. What do you know of the art?"

"I can transmute solids and liquids. That includes making one into the other."

Holo Hord hums. "So your next step is gases and light genetic manipulation. With your current knowledge of sorcery, you could possibly advance to the manipulation of elements into more specialized forms if you wished. Alchemy alone can allow you to further modify materials but that result is greatly boosted with the assistance of sorcery."

You kip-up and blink.

Now that is something you did not expect at all to hear but oh so liked to. The odd visions of a grand custom-made spacecraft with refined materials beyond anything anyone's seen you've been having may be possible. Lightsabers would pale in comparison to whatever blade, blaster, or ship you could alchemize into existence with enough effort. You are jumping to crazy conclusions, but a part of you has been waiting for this.
>>
>(2/2)

"Teach me."

"Sit back down. Alchemy is going to become far more complicated than you thought it already was."

You obey Tulak Holo's command, seating yourself on the sand again.

Nine full hours of meditating on air, picturing the atomic structure of oxygen, transmuting elements like steel and modifying them to better withstand lightsaber attacks without cortosis, altering oxygen into water vapor, modifying the physical features of a little bug-like creature, and listening closely to your dear holocron tutor lecture pass.

>Force Skill Improved: Advanced Sith Achemy -> Expert Sith Alchemy - You can permanently alter the properties of solids, liquids, and gases through the Force to better suit your needs. Light genetic sculpting can be done on yourself or others as well, improving physical abilities slightly or modifying nonessential appearance qualities (color, exterior bones, and cartilage). Can change the qualities of elements to make up for failings or for further strength in their specialization.

Falling back on to the ever hot sand, a yawn escapes your lips.

You've been at this for too long, despite your success. Human beings still need to sleep. Of course, you can probably make some adjustments to your glymphatic system with the right know-how. That's beyond you at the moment though. Best to return Holok Hord before you nod off.

As a young man, you are bound to have many questions on your mind as to the meaning of this life and the events that happen almost cyclically in it. The conflict between Jedi and Sith is just one of those things. Eternal life is another one, but you don't much care for the idea of having it. Your dear lover's insanity is also one of those cyclical things you may contract in the future.

"...I can't believe we ever lost to the Jedi."

"You haven't told me what has passed in the thousands of years I've been unused, so I have no context of which to comment on that."

"Just something I said aloud is all." You blink. "I really should catch you up soetime though: there's a lot you missed out."

Tulak Hord almost sighs, sending a an odd slithering soundwave to your eardrums. "That much is obvious."

A hum chimes in your throat.

It's still hard for you to believe how your kind lost the ancient arts so easily.

"Now that I think about it, I might be one of the only living Sith that knows Sith Alchemy to this extent."

"Every time you mention the modern Sith, I am glad my living self died thousands of years before he could see it."

You roll around on your side until Hord's luminescent red self is hovering some ways above your head.
>>
>(2/2)

Now that has you thinking another thing.

"Did anyone ever achieve immortality from alchemy? It seems plausible."

"It would require a blueprint of sorts. Extending life is easy: making it contend with eternity is another matter. Biological immortality is possible and Sith have examined such creatures in the past, but the structure of those non-sentient creatures is not compatible with humans or Sith."

Raising an eyebrow, you shake your head. "Wouldn't they get results from experiments with willing or unwilling subjects over time?"

"Yes. They applied those results and either still died over time or were killed by Jedi."

"Probably all died in the genocide then."

"...What?"

You kip-up to your feet, telekinesis all the sand off and out your clothes, levitate Holo Hord up into your hand, and start walking towards the academy. "Let's get you back to your real owner before she ravages me."

The holocron becomes inert not even a minute in your trek.

Nox shoots you a look when you enter her office and place the holocron on her desk but is unable to say anything before you make your way to her bed and lay yourself on it.

Another yawn fawns from your lips.

>[X] "...Dear mistress, you wouldn't happen to be immortal, would you?"

You're too tired to care at all about potentially losing a lightsaber trophy or getting shocked. All you want to do is sleep after asking just a few more questions. Man has to question things sometimes. For some strange reason, you questioned your very existence over and over again as a child because your life felt like some sort of strange science fiction fantasy book. That delusion, free of, you are now.

"There's a lightsaber on my belt." Groaning, you shift on to your non-laser sword side. "Take it, dear."

The hilt flies from your belt out of your sight.

"Magnus, you may be mine, but that doesn't mean you can just up and take other things that are mine without permission."

Nuzzling your lover's pillows, you twitch. "I'm a thing?"

"A valuable thing. Not as valuable as the thing you took from but still valuable."

"Nox, do you remember anything from last night?"

"You woke me up, you naughty naughty toy." She falls silent. "...Oh, is that where this lightsaber came from?"

A nod rubs your face more against the cushy pillow and answers the woman's question in body language she can't see. "I fought with an Ataru master while another stole away a pair of Miraluka twins. Managed to stab him in the gut and get his lightsaber, but I didn't get to finish the job."

"I feel like you're lying to me."

"No lie, they flew high into the sky and beyond mortal eyes."

"Nice rhymes." The woman approaches the bed from the left and caresses the side of your face.

You blink and blush at the softness of your dearie's 30+ year-old hands.

There is somehing wrong with that.

"...Dear mistress, you wouldn't happen to be immortal, would you?"

Nox hums. "I could be. At the very least, I'll outlive every other Sith if we're just going by age. Maybe I'll even outlive the Emperor and become Empress."

Whimpering, you rub your face against the pillow some more.

You're far too tired to be thinking of all these things.

>[X] "The things you do...why do you do them?"
>[X] "Why would you want to live forever?"
>[X] "Lay down with me until I go to sleep."

Maybe you aren't too tired to ask a few more questions before you fall into a hopefully dreamless sleep. Being at rest for eternity sounds more peaceful than living for that time. If nonexistence were a dreamless sleep, you wouldn't want any part of you to exist after you were done with this world. You're not sure whether you mean all that or just really really want to fall asleep right now.

"The things you do...why do you do them?"

Nox kisses your cheek. "Why not? I want see what will happen, how people will react. What matter does it hurt them? People can heal. I healed from all that was done to me. Are you telling me they're that weak?"

"I guess you could say that. People are actually fragile, you know? Not a lot go through things like war or slavery at a young age. They're not thrown literally to wild beasts like I was either."

"Aww, it's adorable that you care."

Sighing, you further relax yourself.

You just have to accept the things you cannot change, unlike most people who torture themselves with them.

"Why would you want to live forever?"

"Again, why not?" She giggles. "Besides, it's not like death is the end. To tell you the truth, I can die now and not care at all. My existence transcended this mortal coil a long time ago. I just wouldn't mind being able to interact with the living world more personally than as a dreaming spirit. Once I get tired of that, I can join all the countless Sith before me in death."

A hum chimes in your throat.

As usual, you have no idea whether she's telling the truth or not.

"Lay down with me until I go to sleep."

Nox laughs as she joins you on the bed. "How spouse-like of you."

"Please, let's just embrace the silence.

"As you wish, dear."

You close your eyes and let the darkness wisp you away.

...

...

Your eyes open to the empty bedside of your lover's resting place.

Now that you've gotten your rest, you should probably have stayed up long enough for sleep to set you back on a normal schedule.

She'll probably be mad at you to shock you, torture you, and/or fuck you some more. It's just how she is, not that you can change that. You can, however, influence her behavior through your actions and suggestions. Woman's probably had enough experience in manipulation to see your own though.

You slip out of bed and head out into your lover's office.

Behind her desk, Nox furrows her brow at you while setting her fingers down one by one on the holocron before her. "No."

"...I haven't even asked or said anything."

"No, just no."

Tilting your head, you shoot her a look of your own. "That sounds awfully childish coming from you." A smile makes its way on to your face. "Adorable, really."

"I'm not cute." Nox pouts. "I'm deadly."

You chuckle before spasming as the Darth shocks your awakening body.

"See? If that had been higher in voltage, you'd be dead right now and in my voluptuous body."

Raising a frizzled eyebrow, you frown, open-mouthed, in disgust.

"What? ...You think." She laughs. "Oh by the Force, no. Live men feel better than dead men in my experience."

You keep staring at the woman.

"I'm kidding, you silly toy." Shocking you again, the mad sadist giggles to herself.

A groan escapes your lips as you stop yourself from falling down.

Really, you should be asking yourself why it is that you do the things you do.

You didn't but really should've expected something like this. She maybe pretends to care when she really doesn't care to better use them as needless justifications that utterly baffles everyone else. It's just in her insane nature to go to such lengths to amuse herself.

"Are you jealous I'm not training with you instead of Tulak Hord?"

"Me? Jealous?" The woman scoffs. "Of a bloody personality recording? Oh please, Magnus."

"You totally are though."

"I could hardly care for this dainty old glorified holoprojector." She slams her hand down on it.

A faint groan emanates from a nearby shadow.

You glance at it before looking back at her. "Are you really going to break a holocron that has been largely unused for several millenia made by one of the greatest Sith of all time?"

"...Well, I would scratch it and deface its exterior crystalline structure."

"Khem would sooner kill you than let that happen."

Nox laughs. "All Khem will do is continue sitting in that corner, invisible, and watch with tears coming from his adorable reddish-orange eyes as well as his third one-eye."

"...What?"

"You heard me."

This has gone in a direction you never thought of and wished you would stop existing so you wouldn't think about it ever again.

"Can I pretty please have the holocron?"

Mrs. Artifact-Breaker toss the things into your leaping, artifact-saving hands.

You touchdown on your feet and bring the priceless artifact close to your chest for safekeeping.

The slam, you could understand; that was going too far.

Can I ask why we would have sex now, given we have just woken up/asked for the holocron?

I suppose its rescuing it from her mad clutches but still.
>>
>[X] "...Do you want to have dinner...and then have sex to calm down afterward?"

This is probably the only thing you can say and do to get her to calm down in her madness. It's so unlike you, but so something Nox would enjoy to its fullest delights. Maybe she will be pregnant with your child by the time you leave this planet, if she isn't pregnant already. Whatever happens, you're not ready to be a father to a potentially insane child.

"...Do you want to have dinner...and then have sex to calm down afterward?"

Nox blinks her big Sith orange eyes. "I would love that."

"Alright." You gulp. "I have some hssiss carcases in the cafeteria meat-locker I can make use of."

"Been some time since I've had lizard. I trust you'll prepare it, my dear?"

"...That goes without saying doesn't it?"

The Dark Council member nods. "Best get to it now."'

Stowing away the holocron, you bow before making your way down back to the cafeteria kitchens.

Members of the staff shoot you the looks you usually get until the preparations for your dinner are made.

You spend the next thirty minutes grilling livers, tossing up a grand salad, slicing rich fruits, pouring iced wine into Nox's glass, and pouring yourself some mixed fruit juice.

The magnificent tray you stacked with food and drink is lifted from the cafeteria kitchen counter and sped off with care to its next destination.

Nox hums in delight as you enter her parlor yet again.

Setting down the tray on her cleared desk, you sigh.

"Rethinking this, my dear?"

You shake your head while seating yourself. "No, just...anticipating things."

The Darth moans.

If only you hadn't been born at all to experience this awkward false moment of warmth.

Small talk isn't necessary but helps alleviate that air of death Nox exudes so much. Besides, you want to know more about her entourage if you're going to remain her concubine of sorts. They're probably all as crazy as she is, knowing your luck. With any of it though, one or two will be functioning people.

"Who were your servants again?" You carve up your liver and slip a savory slice into your mouth. "Some archaeologist and some pirate, right? Where are they?"

"Oh no, those were just two of my first. Khem was my real first though. He was and still is the best. In truth, I have countless servants now. More than 90% can die, and I wouldn't give a damn."

"He's the only one you're really close to, huh?"

"You can say that."

You blink. "...I am closer in a way, aren't I?"

She nods and says no words to clarify her confirmation's precise meaning.

Resisting the urge to sigh, you devour some more lizard liver.

You're insane yourself if you keep expecting some form of straight answer from this madwoman.

"If...we have children, how would you raise them?"

The Darth freezes partway through eating her first liver cut.

"...Nox?"

She eats the morsel of meat and washes it down with wine. "I would give them the galaxy. If not that, at the very least, their own planets."
>>
>(2/2)

"How would you raise them though?"

"Tell me how you would raise them."

You set down your knife and fork to raise a hand to your chin. "...For starters, I won't do anything like forcing them to survive on their own without teaching them how to like my father did. Improvisation is a good skill to have, but that first unsettled planet drop almost killed me. They'd receive a sizable allowance but only be allowed to buy what they necessarily need. Treats, luxuries, and expensive things relating to their hobbies will only be given if they prove themselves worthy."

"Exactly how much of that is taken from the way your father has raise you?" Nox sips her wine.

A scoff escapes your lips. "Barely any."

"What?"

"I don't have an allowance, there is nothing of value I wear or that is in my room back at the cathedral on Dromund Kaas, and I have no hobbies to speak of. My diet is all that's left to my discretion, and my choice in wardrobe that doesn't cost anything above a dozen credits."

The Darth laughs. "I'd call you a slave if I didn't know what that was actually like."

You chuckle along with your mistress.

Now if only things would always be this pleasant between you two.

"Did anyone cook for you before me?"

"A lot of them." Nox slips a slice of liver in-between her lips. "Most are dead because they failed to please me or please my former master."

You chomp down on a fork full of salad.

She hasn't revealed much about her old slave days except for the disgusting origin of her bug-love. Could be worth looking into or avoid ever mentioning it. Knowing her, she'd probably shock you for trying to get her to talk about it.

Already, you have dug this far down into the infernal pits of Nox. May as well dive even deeper until the shocks stop you from doing so. Of course, that's never been a problem for her in terms of getting what she wants. You can only hope she doesn't go too hard on your fine self.

"Who was your old master?"

"Darth Zash." Nox lifts up her fork to eat some salad of her own. "Lord Zash when I met her, but she was promoted by Thanaton after I killed Darth Skotia."

"I didn't... Wait, you're the one who killed Skotia?

The woman nods. "My master received all the credit, but I found a device that could short his extensive cybernetics and slaughtered him with my Khem."

"Why didn't she just do all that?"

"Besides lacking a Khem, she was weak and pining for my hot, young body to replace her cold, old body. She needed to make sure it was powerful. Unfortunately for her, it was far more powerful and full of so much more potential than she could ever dream of." Your mistress winks.

Laughing nervously to yourself, you cut into your lizard liver again.

A second there you thought she might actually shock you for accidentally reminding her of her slave master rather than her Sith master.

"You never actually answered my question about raising children."

Darth Hot Young Body sips her wine again. "...I never had a family. There is no experience I can draw from. While I'm sure I'd be the most fantastic mother this galaxy has ever seen, I don't know how I'll do that."

You blink.

This is the most vulnerable she has ever been in your presence. It's awfully bad timing to bring this up but also perfect timing. You're probably going to never get another opportunity like this. Hopefully, she'll take your inquisitive question well.

"How was it like? ...Being a slave, I mean."

"...You can probably tell by the scars I have from my forehead down to my neck, dear Magnus."

Gulping, you tilt your head. "Well, they do mark you as a...former slave."

"A valuable slave to a then-dying, now-dead house of Sith. Being a slave, the family head kept their few young away from me. My first friends were the bugs." Nox smiles. "Such adorable little things. Being around them made cleaning the grimy of the fetid estate tolerable. I was caned a lot for keeping them in my clothes: they ate through them constantly, which cost them credits." She sighs. "Watching them get burned over and over again made me cry so many tears I ran out of them. Soon, all I could do was laugh." The Darth giggles. "Senseless destruction is all this galaxy seemed to be good for, and I loved it." Blinking, she tilts her head. "Or did I hate it?" Her shoulders shrug. "Oh well, it doesn't matter anymore: that was a lifetime ago."

A hum chimes in your throat.

Really, there's nothing you can say to that because almost all of it could be true or false thanks to your mistress' insanity.

It's always wise to have an open heart towards these kinds of matters, especially when the origin of that matter is from a powerful demented woman you are sleeping with. She's most likely unused to this sort of thing anyway. Providing a shoulder to cry on is practically in your job description.

"...Are you okay?"

Nox nods. "That happened a lifetime ago. It hardly matters now."

"Our pasts shape who we are." You lift a cut of delicious lizard liver to your mouth. "They matter greatly in our present."

"Dear Magnus, you are far too young to be saying such things."

Swallowing your grilled meat, you turn your attention to your fantastically made dish.

The rich amalgamation of greens is the first to be bitten to dust by your mighty teeth. Your reptilian organ meal receives the same treatment, its vital nutrients enriching your stomach. Remaining contents of both meals are washed down your throat with the rich fruit juice mix you picked out for yourself.

Mrs. Hot Young Body sighs as she lets down her cutlery on her own empty plate. "You did a fantastic job, Magnus. I think you're due a reward."

You blink and close your eyes as Nox rises before opening them when she leans over and kisses your forehead.

"What?" She backs away and laughs. "Did you think I was going to have sex with you right on the desk?"

"...It's in line with your personality."

The woman giggles before stepping out from her desk chair. "I'm going to bed. You can come or do what you like with your new toy."

You stare at the empty chair opposite yours while your mistress walks back to her chambers.

It seems you've saved yourself from annihilation breeding for now.

Best you get yourself back on a normal schedule lest you end up missing the next trials. They're not that far along, and you of all people cannot fuck up like this, even if you have been fucking up a lot lately. Either that needs to change or you better just die to prevent yourself from further shaming your family.

Taking the holocron out of your belt, you seat it on the desk before following Nox to her bed.

Mrs. Hot Young Body giggles when you arrive at her side. "You cooked that meal just to have sex with me, didn't you?"

"No." Your face heats up. "I...just want to fix my sleeping schedule is all."

"It doesn't seem like you'll do much sleeping either way."

Eye twitching, you lift yourself on to the bed and roll fully on to it as your lover makes space.

The woman rolls you back over to face her.

You close your eyes and await her ravishment only to be embraced.

"By the Force, you're cute when you think you're going to have sex."

Groaning, your arms fold back around your lover.

The two of you lay in this odd hug for quite sometime. Nox is the first to nod off, but her unconscious groping assists your already rested mind in keeping up. A couple hours after, your eyes shut and stay that way.

...

...

Your eyes flutter open to the empty space by your side.

Hopefully, it's morning or at the very least early morning.

Wake up, you ingrates. Time to tell me who you chose to attack and what happened.

Karimi's mind whines much like a waked kitten.

Slug-head whore is tuk'ata food.

Arezoo moans.

Bone-face got boned.

Yang internally sighs.

One-eye was blinded, beheaded, and quartered.

You blink.

Hardcore, man.

Not my fault he could heal and didn't stop attacking me...after I attacked him.

A hum chimes in your throat.

Maybe sending your acolytes on dangerous life-threatening tasks like your father did you really does something.

One cannot ever improve on themselves too much. Better to spit on perfection than think it's okay to be satisfied by it. You know Holo Hord would somehow find a way to refuse his programming to teach people if he knew you were content with your current level.

First things first however.

...Degenerate, did you mean that literally?

No, I was being coy in an attempt to disturb you...which I did apparently.

You groan.

Well done, all of you. You won't have to do that again, but now you know how to.

Sighing, you slide off your bed and walk out into the Dark Councilor office.

Nox's lovely scarred face smiles at your coming. "Good morning, dear Magnus."

"Good morning...you."

"Ha! You haven't a romantic bone in your body, except for the obvious one."

You roll your eyes as you will the priceless data pyramid into your hands and into a satchel on your way out.

Down in the cafeteria, you have some eggs and bacon strips but nothing else before you head out into the desert again.

Tulak Hord's projection appears before you again and crosses its arms. "Are you prepared?"

"Always." You nod.

"Then where do you wish to begin?"

A hum chimes in your throat.

I disagree. We should stick to the force powers that hord has mastered such as reinforcement or emotional channeling or telekinesis. We get the best bang for our buck like that.

>[X] "Sorcery."

Having both of the ancient arts at the same level is neither practical or necessary, but they compliment one another well enough. Your Force abilities should already match a master's or even surpass them. It won't be easy to completely beat a master, though you'd sure as hell have an edge on them. A part of you can't wait to show off to Nox.

"Sorcery."

"Ah, we are now at the phase where sorcery shifts from the domain of parlor tricks into that of the Force itself. I will admit I never used sorcery on that magnitude in battle. However, I did practice for the sake of preserving my skill in the arts."

You raise an eyebrow. "What exactly does expert-level sorcery do?"

"Do you remember the nightmares that lurk in your mind? Do you imagine a beast appearing from nothing and biting your enemy's skull into mush? Do you wish to raise the very dead to do your bidding? Do you wish to imbue things with more than the ability to restore your powers? Even commanding the Force itself to assault, ignite, or explode an enemy is possible."

"Teach me."

Holo hord folds his hands together behind his back. "Cast away your belief in your perception of this world, do away with any hit of natural order to this reality, and abandon whatever signs of will you feel in the Force."

You close your eyes and will away it all.

"Let us begin."

Beings and images beyond belief manifest before dissipating, old nightmares only Nox possibly knows of resurface, bones rise from the endless grains with mended rotten flesh and collapse, the desert sand in the surounding area gradually turns to glass due to conjured explosions, and your accumulating unwashed body odor with grime is purged with some modification to the nature of your clothing by the time the seven moons are high in the sky alongside the stars.

>Force Skill Improved: Advanced Sith Sorcery -> Expert Sith Sorcery - You can alter the functions of the Force in your body's vicinity, boosting your regeneration of force power and augmenting your force powers with a modifier equivalent of your sorcery ability. Objects like crystals, clothing, jewelry, gems, and glass can be infused with the Force to further augment your abilities, restore your lost power, or provide a certain function. Individuals can be affected with Sith Sorcery positively and negatively if an item owned by them is in the caster's possession. Blood from someone precious, deeply affiliated, or related to the individual can also be used as a focusing object. Illusions can be conjured from nothing to distract or unleash their wrath on an enemy. The Force itself can be twisted into a weapon against an opponent. Nightmares and deep-seated fears can be awakened or made manifest to be used against anyone.

Taking a deep breath, you collapse on to the sand.

Odd-looking cats appear from nothing to rub all over your sore body, purring and meowing your woes away.

"...I have never seen sorcery used in such a manner."

You sigh as relief overtakes the ache and air replaces the illusioned felines.

Reality has now gotten far more subjective thanks to your knowhow.

You're not sure where you should sleep, but you are sure what you want to say to your holographic mentor. The development you've undergone is nothing short of expenentional. Hell, your progress throughout your time on Korriban as a whole has been something.

"This is all you know of sorcery, isn't it? Using such indirect methods to achieve victory was distateful...no, sacriligious to you."

Holo Hord nods. "It was a slight to my an honor, an offense I absolutely could not abide. I would sooner commit ritualistic suidicde than cross that line."

"An understandable, though extreme, notion."

"Indeed, it was extreme but brought on by my unlimited passion. You appear to have a passion yourself for learning the arts."

A hum chimes in your throat. "Is it normal to learn these skills so quickly?"

"The arts were commonly taught alongside the basic abilities of a Sith. Due to their academic nature, they're easy to progress in, but too easy to become overreliant on. Many apprentices fell into that trap and were all too easily slayed in real combat or by real masters of the Force. Simply knowing isn't enough to perform high level sorcery or alchemy. Experience is a vital component you do not have, a trait you share with the old apprentices."

"I thought I was feeling vain for a second."

"Nevermind what your inner decadence may say: vanity is unbecoming of a true warrior, whether Sith or otherwise."
>>

You laugh.

If only that vision of your father realized that.

"Thank you for your teaching, Lord Hord." You blink. "I think it's time to tell you what's happened since you've been put away."

Holo Hord stands in silence for the next half hour or so you spend explaining the history of the empire past his reign.

"And that's how we got into this current stalemate. I know you probably think we should exterminate the Mandalorians, but they've been perfect attack dogs since Mandalore the Preserver was slain in single combat. Can't get rid of that droid planet of HKs either because both of us use them for contracts on each other. Hopefully, Revan and that Shadow General are dead now or resigned to let things play out. No one knows what happened to their assassin but my great grandfather is said to have taken him with him to death. Wouldn't be the first time he was thought dead though: over fifty confirmed kills and that bastard kept killing powerful Sith after Sith. It's a wonder we never learned his name."

"...To think we have fallen so far."

You hang your head and sigh. "I know, right? We could be ruling the galaxy if we weren't too bust fighting among ourselves."

The hologram stands silent.

Plopping yourself back on to the sand, a groan whimpers in your throat.

It's time for you to get some rest, seeing as how you're already on fumes. Nox is likely waiting for you for various reasons you wouldn't like right now. Still a few questions left on your ever wondering mind though. Hord must be used to the treatment by now and even grateful for it being his purpose and all

First things first.

"Did you never conjure fluffy tuk'ata to lick your face just to cheer you up?

"...Never."

A hum chimes in your throat.

He is obviously lying but you understand.

"You said nothing of the current Jen'ari. What do you think?"

Hord folds his hands behind her back. "It is unprecedented for a Dark Lord to rule undisputed and so absolute for such a long period of time, but the genocide on Korriban has led to this entirely unprecedented turn of events. As I have not encountered the man and am not one, I am in no position to judge at this time, though I would welcome the chance."

"One last question, how much more of alchemy can you teach me?"

"Enough to achieve mastery."

You kip-up, hold your hands out into the sky, and yawn.

That's enough for one day definitely

Levitating up the holocron, you make your way back into the warm academy and to your already slumbering mistress' bed.

A few seconds are all that needs to pass for your consiousness to fade.

>[X] Make illusionary kitty-bug cats nuzzle Nox awake, it'll be amazing.
>[X] "Good morning. I'll make us breakfast."
>[X] "Khem, what day is it?"

She's eccentric and bugloving enough to convulse in the ugly cuteness of what you have in mind. Knowing her, she'd probably try and have sex with you, even if Khem may be watching. Perhaps even especially if Khem is keeping watch over you two. You'll make breakfast after or run away to make it before she can get her hands on you.

A smile makes its way on to your face as you will bug-eyed, mandible-mouthed, and furry anthropod-legged cats into being around your lover.

Purrs chitter in their felinanthropod throats.

Nox is still one moment and cuddlng back the cat-bugs the next. "Aww! What are you adorable little abominations!? I don't care, you're so cute I want to keep you forever! Awwwwwwwwwwww!"

"Good morning." You slip out the bed. "I'll make us breakfast."

"Do whatever you want, Magnus! Leave me to these little kitty bugs! Such soft, chittery things! Cute, wriggly mandibles! Thousands of reflections in their adorable compact eyes! Aww, I could just die!"

"Khem, what day is it?" Blinking, you watch the alien appear from nothing before you.

"Date does not matter. Make breakfast for your mistress, concubine."

You raise an eyebrow at him before going downstairs to do exactly that.

Approximately fifteen or so minutes later, you return to Nox's chambers with plates holding up your usual breakfast makes.

The bug-lover is still wriggling against the equally cuddly felinanthropods.

"You have to tell me how you made these! Better yet, let me rip them from your mind so I can cuddle with these bug babies forever!"

A laugh escapes your lips as you set her plate on her nightstand.

This is everything you wanted it to be.

>You can keep them forever as they are now, if my understanding is correct.
>Breakfast is ready.
>Eat breakfast

I'm not sure if there is anything to discuss about the Miraluka. But we do need to figure out what day it is, so maybe check a clock or something or run a hand through our cat acolytes mind to get the information. If we don't have anything to do, we should master alchemy and get some practice on Pierce.

Well I think we only have one update left in us, if we are lucky.

If not, then thanks for running mate, see you next month.
