/qst/ - Quests

Were you to travel the stars, across this vast universe, no doubt tales of a mighty warrior race would reach your ears. Many speak of the Saiyans with awe and wonder, marveling at their power and aspiring to become like them. Others speak in hushed tones, of the fear and despair in facing the warrior race in battle. But one thing all agree on, is that standing against the might of the Saiyan race would spells certain doom. Many have tried, several going as far as to invade the Saiyan’s homeworld of New Salda. Yet every invasion has failed, defeated by the Saiyans and their most powerful warriors: the golden-haired Super Saiyans, and the green-haired legend who leads them. But once more they march, leaving their home behind and advancing into the heart of their enemy’s territory. Which side will triumph, and who will perish?

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, the story of an alternate timeline in the greater Dragonball world. Currently it is Age 749 and you the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the radiant symbol of Saiyan might. Now as a PTO general with a powerlevel of 20,166,000 and close friend and confidant of Lord Freeza himself, Karn has become one of the strongest beings in the entire universe.

Quest rules are as follows:
>20 minute voting windows, pick ONE option when voting(unless otherwise noted)
>Dice rolls are all best of three, only correctly rolled dice pools will count
>Crits are 100 on a d100(a 99 or paired rolls may net you an extra bonus)
>Crit fails count -only- if no roll passes the DC, or if two different 1s are rolled which will OVERRIDE even a critical success, resulting in a catastrophic crit failure
>Write-ins are both allowed and encouraged.
That said, they can and will be shut down if too out of character/metagamey. With over 120 episodes behind us, Karn now has a well-established character
>I can change any of the above rules at any time for any or no reason
>Have fun

SCQ will usually start every Saturday at noon Eastern Standard Time, and run throughout the weekend. Also, for updates or schedule changes you can find me on twitter @GrandDragonQM, which I try and keep as up-to-date with scheduling as possible

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After putting the Super Saldaman B7 through his paces, Karn takes steps to quell a rumor before being confronted by news that your newest child cannot be taken out of her. Unlike all the other times before, this new child cannot be removed as technology to sustain a child born of transformed Super Saiyans doesn’t exist in this timeline. After speaking with Dr. White, Karn and Meloka agree that she won’t be able to participate in battle as she gets closer to her delivery date. Then the massive Lucrehulk ship finally begins to move, leaving New Salda behind and headed off towards Covenant space. As we rejoin Karn, a soft-spoken younger Saiyan woman by the name of Lattu has just asked if you’d train her.

“We won’t go easy on you just because your powerlevel is only eighteen thousand.” your wife Meloka says, crossing her arms and speaking sternly. “Either you’ll get stronger, or we’ll break you.”
“I understand!” Lattu says, almost on the verge of tears for some reason. “I’m tired of holding everyone back, of just being in the way. I have to get better, strong enough to save people and not always the one being saved!”
“Then you’ve come to the right place.” you tell her. “By the time this ship lands, you’ll be ready to face just about whatever comes your way. Now, let’s get started!”
“R-Right!” she says, a bit of the nervousness returning to her voice as you turn and stride into the wide common area. Several paces in you stop, turning to face her.
“Alright, enough talk.” you say, dropping into your stance. “Show me what you’ve got.”

“W-Wait, what?” she asks you, nervously. “Here?”
“Of course here.” you reply impatiently, lowering your energy to be somewhat closer to hers. The gap is still basically insurmountable, but hopefully now you won’t accidentally maim or kill her with a strike. “None of the gravity chambers have been installed yet. So we’re gonna spar right here, so I can tell where your skill level is at. But don’t start throwing big attacks around wildly, the ship probably can’t take it. Understood?”

“Ye-Yes sir!” she shouts, saluting then taking her fighting stance. Which immediately shows you several things. First, with both her arms held upright and guarding her head, she clearly is expecting you to attack. And second, most of her weight is on her back leg, solidifying what you’d observed. Which just leaves one question:

What do you do?
>Attack her with basic striking, see how good her defenses are
>Have her attack you, see what she’s goton offense
>Use your Su Ma style and attack, see how well she handles it
>Attack with Djem So, really push her defensively and hard counter any retaliation

“What are you doing?” you ask her, the woman starting confused.
“H-Huh?” she asks, stammering. “Wh-What do you mean?”
“Don’t just stand there and wait to get hit.” you instruct. “Defense alone doesn’t win fights. Now, come at me, and show me everything you’ve got!”
“R-Right!” she replies, shouting and launching herself forward towards you. “Hiyaaa!”

She tries for a simple straight punch to your head, but you catch her fist easily. Lattu seems surprised by this, but only for a moment. Pulling back she twists, kicking again for your head with her left. With the same arm you block, taking the kick on your right forearm.

“Is that all you’ve got?” you taunt with a smirk, her brow furrowing in frustration. “Come on, show me everything you’ve got!”
“Haaaaaa!!” she shouts, twisting around and kicking at the other side of your head with her right leg before launching into a barrage of strikes. Using your left hand you block all of her attacks easily, Lattu quickly growing frustrated at being unable to hit you.
“What’s wrong?” you ask her, both feet still planted firmly on the ground. “Is this all you know how to do?”

“Huh?” she asks, you holding her fist well away from your head. “Wh-What do you mean?”
“I mean in how you fight.” you reply simply, grabbing on and tossing her to the ground. “Simple, direct attacks based purely on your power? No subtlety or anything extra? Come on, really come at me! You really want me to train you? Then give me everything you’ve got!”
“R-Right!” she shouts, rising back to her feet. Clenching her fists she roars, blue aura flaring around her. You feel her power rising, watching as she pulls her right fist back. Then with another shout dashes forward, throwing her right fist forward at you. As she does a powerful beam of energy shoots forward, you crossing your arms to try and withstand the sudden blast. It hits far harder than you’d expected, actually pushing you back several feet before she ends it. “H-How was? That?”

“Not bad.” you say, gently sweeping the smoke away and revealing you’re fine. “That was a pretty solid hit, it actually moved me.”

What now?

“But if that’s all you’ve got, I’m disappointed.” you continue, brow furrowing. You see the shock on her face but don’t relent, you know she can do better than this! “I was expecting more.”
“I-I’m sorry.” she says, bowing her head meekly. This isn’t what you need, she has to get mad. And you think you’ve got just the way to do it.
“HAAAAA!” you roar, acutely focusing your power and transforming into your Berserker form. Your hair shifts from black to green as you grow several times larger, green aura radiating out around your body menacingly. “Now, for wasting my time you’d better be ready. I’m not holding back!”

And so you explode forward, a massive, menacing threat to her. To her credit Lattu doesn’t try and run, raising her arms and again taking her defensive stance. The sheer power difference between the two of you is almost hilarious, in any real fight she wouldn’t survive more than a few seconds. But you’re not trying to kill her, you’re aiming for something much more difficult. Swinging your right arm you catch her left with a Djem So technique, knocking her arm aside and half-spinning her. Had she gone with the motion, like a Su Ma fighter, she would have been able to recover before your follow-up. Instead she’s staggered, and wide-open as you swing your left fist squarely into her gut.

“Kyuuh!” she wheezes, all the air forced out of her body. Keeping your power in check while in this state is still difficult, but it would have been several times more difficult without the past year’s worth of training to master it. You follow up your strike will a straight right, and despite being winded, Lattu still puts her left arm up and guards her head. Your fist smashes into her entire left arm, knocking the younger woman down to the ground. She doesn’t even try to rise, curling up into a defensive ball. Almost as if she’s used to being beaten while down. You grit your teeth, frustrated. She shouldn’t just accept this, she has to fight back!

“Done already?” you snarl, reaching down and grabbing her by a leg. You hear a whimper from the woman as you lift her, the sound hitting you deep and making you hesitate. So instead of striking again, you try and use your words to give her the final push. “Well, that was disappointing. If that’s all you’ve got, then get out of my way. Leave, and don’t come back.”

With that you drop her back to the ground, Lattu falling in a heap. But just as you’re about to give up on her and walk away, you feel it.
cont
>>
>>4284935
“I-I’m. Not...Done.” she mumbles, pushing herself back to her feet unsteadily. You feel her ki surging, seeing hints of gold in her aura. You can’t help but smirk, remembering back to the early days of your own journey through the path of becoming a Super Saiyan. She’s done it; Lattu has managed to, at least somewhat, break into the ranks of the Super Saiyans. “No-Not yet.”

Well? What do you do?

That's fine, our power gap is large enough that the danger is so minimal that it shouldn't be too much an issue. If nothing else we can bear hug for minuet for a clinch and let her charge up a bit that way.

“Woah!”
“No way.”
“Another one?”

You hear several of your old crew muttering in surprise, but you’re focused on the newest almost-Super Saiyan before you. Knowing that False Super Saiyan state as well as you do, she’ll have very little if any control over this tremendous power. Especially the first time she transforms. So you’ll have to keep her focused on you, and avoid accidentally damaging the ship. Perhaps having her transform here wasn’t the best idea?

“GRRRAAAAAA!!” she roars, energy surging as she charges. You let your own strength rise as well, keeping an overwhelming strength advantage so you don’t accidentally get hurt. Raising your left hand you catch her wild punch, Lattu immediately following up with a left. You catch it as well, leaving you staring face-to-face with her pupil-less glare. But only for a moment, as she then pulls her head back and slams it into your own. Seeing it coming you lean down, taking it on the hardest part of your own skull. Ramming into you full-power like that seems to have stunned Lattu, who’s head rocks back. You feel her aura starting to fade, but don’t necessarily want this to end just yet. So, still holding onto her fists, you begin pouring your own energy into her.

“Are you sure that’s a good idea?” Meloka asks you. But before you can answer her, the power you’d sent into Lottu surges.
“HYAAAAAAAA!!” she roars, hair shifting to a partially black and partially red mix as her body noticeably bulks up. Lifting off her feet, she used your arms to pull herself forward and deliver a painful double-kick to your own gut. You withstand the hit, but the strike’s force made you drop her hands. Kicking off you she flips back, landing on her feet and again going on the attack. “GYAAAAAA!!”
“Tch. Now that’s better!” you say, blocking her next wild right with you left forearm. Before she can follow it up you reach out with your left, grabbing the younger Saiyan by the head. Even through the blinding rage you see her eyes widen in surprise, but before she can try to flail and escape you telepathically reach out, and think to her.

“Don’t give in Lattu.” you telepathically tell her. “Focus! Don’t let this rage overwhelm you, dig deep!”
“K-Karn?” she replies to you uncertainly. “Wh-What’s going on?”
“You have to focus!” you tell her forcefully. “Dig deep, don’t let this anger beat you! You’re better than that! Now give it everything you’ve got!”
cont
>>
>>4285215
“HAAAAAAA!!!” she roars, you watching as her hair flashes gold for a single instant. But that’s it, the surge of power fading as she reverts back to her base form, unconscious. You set her down gently, sighing out and returning to your own base form. She almost had it, she almost became a full-fledged Super Saiyan. With some practice and discipline, she’ll no doubt become another powerful warrior. If you can get her over her issues, that is.
“Not bad hun.” Meloka says. “I dunno how you did it, but she almost transformed.”
“It wasn’t me.” you say, the two of you looking down at her. “She did it herself. I just gave her a push, is all.”
“Well, now what?” Orlen asks you. “We don’t exactly have anywhere set up to leave her for now.”

That’s a good point. What now?

Leave her with Dr. White wins it. Writing.
>>
>>4285285
We don't want to freak the poor girl out with a misunderstanding. Meloka won't tolerate someone this weak.
>>
So, it would appear that she's certainly got the necessary amount of anger to transform, but nowhere near enough power to maintain it.
I figure once we get the gravity chambers installed, we should get her on a high intensity regimen to build up her base powerlevel as fast as possible. That only leaves her passiveness to deal with. Sparring would probably help with that.
>>
>>4285218
“I’m going to leave her here, with Dr. White.” you say, Meloka reaching down and picking her up before you can. “He can explain to her what happened, while we go and handle some other business.”
“Alright General.” he says, Meloka already to the door and taking her through. “But what do you have to do?”
“Get training areas set up, as immediately as possible.” you say, glancing to the slight but noticeable damage around the room. Where she and you had traded blows there’s noticeable dents in the metal. He follows your gaze, eyes widening as he notices the aftermath.
“Can’t imagine why.” he says dryly, the two of you sharing a chuckle as Meloka comes back empty-handed. “Well, best of luck you two.”

“C’mon, let’s go.” you say, Meloka nodding and flying up to your back and hanging on by wrapping her arms around your shoulders. Been awhile since she’s done this, you smile to yourself as you leave your common room behind. You walk down the halls and make your way to the energy barrier, staring out into the void a moment before taking the leap. Launching through the shield you quickly dash over to the arm, passing easily through that shield as well. You and Meloka are recognized immediately by the droid sentinels, who thankfully don’t open fire on you both. Making your way further in you try and track down anyone who knows what’s going on, eventually finding King Vegeta’s right-hand man. “Nappa!”

“Karn? There you are!” your massive friend says, the two of you clasping forearms as you reach him. “Was wondering where you’d been holed up.”
“Why, what’s wrong?” you ask, the tone of his voice immediately filling you with concern. “What’s happened?”
“Nothing’s wrong, just...” he trails off, then continues telepathically. “Something’s watching me. I can’t shake the feeling, and don’t want to act suspicious and cause them to back off.”
“I see.” you reply out loud, catching him up about what had happened before the Lucrehulk left New Salda. “It wouldn’t surprise me if there was more than one here.”
“So what do we do?” he asks you. “There’s a lot of our people here, I can’t protect them all if something goes on a rampage.”

“Then we’ll lure whoever they are in.” you say, quickly telling him and Meloka your plan telepathically. “Got it?”
“Sounds good.” Nappa says as your wife rises up silently off your back, disappearing into the droid racks far overhead. She’ll be observing from above, ready to pounce at a moment’s notice.
“Dragon Force.” you say, your red-scaled Stand appearing coiled around your right arm. “You ready?”
“Of course.” it replies, nodding once to you. Despite knowing it was coming, you seemingly talking to your hand still clearly bothers him.

“Let’s go.” you say to your friend, the two of you making your way around and observing the various buildings being erected inside. The modular design of these buildings is something you didn’t fully appreciate back planetside, but watching from a shipping container being opened to a building being installed in minutes is quite impressive. The engineers who’re doing this are clearly experts, you wondering for a moment just how they got so skilled. Then the answer comes to you: how many times they have to rebuild virtually the entire Saiyan city on New Salda? There was Nefarious’s attack with the Big Gete Star, the first Covenant attacks and then the big siege, and most recently Hatchiyack’s invasion. Anyone who’s survived that many invasions and rebuilt afterwards would have what would otherwise take several years of experience. And without having to do the cleanup, starting with virtually a blank slate in the Lucrehulk’s interior, these builders have to be setting some sort of record.

But while you and Nappa are observing the construction and making small talk, Meloka and Dragon Force are on vigilant lookout. Between your Stand and your wife, you have no doubt that whoever, or whatever, is watching Nappa will be seen by one of you. At least, that’s the hope. As you both observe, everyone seems to be on edge. You can feel it in the air, something that’s grating on your nerves. You hope Meloka spots this thing soon.

“Unless they go after Meloka first.”

The thought enters your mind completely unbidden, and as soon as that doubt is there you can’t shake it. The memory of Meloka getting blown away by Jotaro’s Star Platinum, unable to see it and fight back springs back to mind, and makes you worry. If a Stand attacks her up there, while you’re down here, she might not even see it coming. What if-?

“Huh?” you ask, your mind almost instantly snapping out of it as Nappa says something to you. “Did you say something?”
“Karn, you okay?” Nappa asks, your friend looking over to you, concerned. “Something wrong?”
“Yeah, I’m fine.” you say, brows furrowing as you focus. What was that? It’s not like you to worry out of control like that. Wait, what if that’s not you?
cont

>>4285598
You look around, not with your own eyes but through Dragon Force’s. Nobody seems to notice it, as you look around at everyone they all seem rather engrossed by their work. After all, they’re all busy putting this sizeable town together inside a spaceship.

“But what if the airlock fails?”

Again doubt seeps into your mind, you looking about at the open space of this arm. All it would take is one leak in the airlock, and everyone would be sucked straight out into the unforgiving void of space. If that happens while everyone’s asleep, the sudden shock and panic would kill hundreds of Saiyans, and cripple the attack. Or what if they know you’re coming, and have sent another fleet like they did before? Enough of those powerful lasers could punch straight through this ship, and kill you all. What are you doing, you gotta go back home before-

“Karn, I found him.” Dragon Force says, again snapping you out of your internal dialogue. The hell is wrong with you today?”
“Quickly, he knows he’s been spotted.”
“Right.” you say, moving away from Nappa. As you say this your ally tenses up, knowing how this’ll go down. You’ll leave his side when you spot them, and from above Meloka will use Multiform to keep a set of eyes on both of you.

“Unless she’s already dead.”

Again an invasive, paranoid thought surfaces, but you don’t have time to waste on that. You can still sense her two ki signatures from above you, these worried thoughts cannot stop you now!

“He’s moving away.” your Stand says, quickly describing the individual as an average-looking humanoid male with a small patch of hair on his chin and strong eyebrows, but was unable to tell what the man was wearing as he did his best to disappear into the crowd. “Do you see him?”

“He’s already gone. You alreadylost him.”

Again doubt creeps into your mind, it slowing your hasty footsteps. What if he did escape? You didn’t even actually see him, how will you find him now?

“Just give up, and go back.”
“You can’t even catch one man, much less stop the Covenant.”
“Give up.”
“Just surrender, this isn’t worth it.”
“Give up.”
“Give Up.”
“GIVE UP!”

“And die!”

That last voice wasn’t just in your head, that was real! And right behind you! So you spin, swinging your Dragon Force-clad right fist at the source of the voice. You see what appears to be a mist-like humanoid being, with a metal helmet and some bits of metal and cloth seemingly keeping it together. But your sudden twist catches it off-guard, your Stand and fist punching straight through it’s chest. However there’s virtually no resistance, the being seemingly as misty and incorporeal as it appears.

“Nice try.” it says, dissolving and fading into mist that spreads around everywhere.

“Should’ve gone for the head.”

“Dammit.” you mutter, everyone around looking at you like you’re crazy. That is, everyone except for one. A man of average height is trying to walk away, and with the crowd gathering around you he could easily get away now. That is, if you couldn’t see him and find his unique ki signature. It doesn’t feel like a Saiyan, in fact you aren’t quite sure what this guy is. But that doesn’t matter, you got him now!
“Karn, you okay?” one of the nearby Jiralhanae asks, holding out a hand. But you don’t acknowledge him, right hand going to your forehead as you focus on that unique ki. And with a surge of intent you move, your Instant Transmission teleporting you right in front of the fleeing man.

“Shit!” the man says, clearly surprised at your sudden appearance. But he doesn’t make any aggressive movements, in fact he seems terrified of you.

“What if this isn’t him? The real user’s getting away.”

“What’s your name?” you ask, the man looking at you like you’re gonna attack at any moment. “Hey! You okay?”
“J-J-Jarek.” the man says, who clearly fits the description Dragon Force gave you. But this isn’t the behavior of a killer, in fact this man who stands neary even with your base form yet seems completely terrified by your appearance. “Can I help you, General?”
“Yeah, tell me something.” you say, holding up your Stand-clad arm. “Tell me, what do you see?”
“Uhh, your arm?” he asks, Dragon Force shooting forward and snapping at his face. He tries to keep his cool, but his eyes nervously dart over to your Stand’s teeth. You got him now.
“Gotcha.” you say, grabbing for him with your left hand. But before you can a pair of hands grab and stop your arm, you looking over and seeing the enemy Stand once again.

“There you are.” Dragon Force growls angrily at the Stand. But to your surprise, this Jarek fellow seems just as surprised as you are by the enemy Stand’s appearance, falling backward to the ground.
“What the fuck?!” he says, clearly surprised. His reaction catches you off-guard, giving the enemy Stand an opening! It lunges for your face with it’s left fist, but before it can strike you Dragon Force intercepts the hit with it’s scaly hide.

“You get the user.” your Stand says, lunging forward at the enemy Stand. Letting Dragon Force work you spin, twisting counterclockwise to keep your right arm close to this Stand while you go for the user. Surprisingly he hasn’t moved, staring wide-eyed at what he’s seeing unfold. That is until you rush towards him, this ‘Jarek’ scrambling to try and rise. But he’s too frightened to move efficiently, you grabbing his right leg and lifting him into the air before he can scramble upright. Holding onto his leg so he can’t flee you turn back, seeing Dragon Force still fighting the enemy Stand.

“GWROOOAR!!” your mighty Stand bellows, dodging the left then right punches thrown by the misty Stand before slamming into it’s armored face. You feel a tremendous impact up your arm as you hear a loud crack, seeing the Stand’s metal head was actually cracked right down the middle by Dragon Force’s attack.
“GAAAH!!” both the Stand and user cry out together in pain. The Stand reels back, clutching it’s head in pain as the user in your left hand writhes in agony. But suddenly your instincts scream at you that you’re in danger! Looking to Jarek he’s glaring at you madly, swinging his left heel at your hand. But what’s surprising is the several-inch blade that suddenly appeared from the heel, giving you only a moment to react. Without hesitation you turn, shifting your grip and taking his blade’s strike on your vambrace. The hidden blade snaps against your upgraded armor, you making a mental note to thank the armorer. As the blade shatters Jarek glares furiously at you, blood pouring down his face from his forehead.

“What the hell?”
“Picking a fight with Karn? Moron.”
“Is that guy drunk?”
“I didn’t see Karn actually hit him.”
“Oh shit, look at his hand!”

Several people around you both begin murmuring amongst themselves, you feeling something wet on your right hand. Looking down, you see your own hand’s split wide open and pouring blood. Seems his Stand’s head is harder than you’d thought.

What now?

But hard or not, one more hit will finish him. Ignoring the user you turn back towards the Stand, Dragon Force looking at you with it’s left eye and the enemy Stand with it’s right. Phantom blood runs down it’s forehead, yet still seems more than ready to go.

“You ready?” you ask the spectral dragon, Dragon Force growling in response. You both facing the misty Stand together, taking your fighting stance.
“Go, Deacon Blues!” the user shouts from behind you. “Don’t hold back, use your ultimate move!”
“But you’re in range-“ it begins, the user crying out from behind him.
“DO IT!!”

“Soul Crush!” the Stand Deacon Blues says, it suddenly exploding. Caught off-guard you try to shield yourself, but the mist doesn’t attack you. At least, not physically. The moment the Stand vanishes, absolute, unyielding despair the likes of which you’ve never felt before crushes you. Unable to even stand, you fall to the ground, losing even the strength to catch yourself. Why should you bother fighting? In the end it’s all pointless: you’ll die, everyone you know is going to die, and everyone they know will die. And then what? The world around you goes black, as black as your inevitable death.

“Wouldn’t it be easier to just die?”

The voice in your head speaks, crushing your will. If you just lay here, just give in, then it will all be over. All the fighting, all the pain, all the misery you’ve suffered will finally be over. It can finally end.

“Daddy? Daddy, can you hear me?” a familiar voice suddenly appears in your mind. “Are you there?”

“Caulifla?” you ask out, surprised by her voice suddenly appearinf in your mind. “Is everything alright?”
“Yeah, we’re goin’ out on our first big battle tomorrow!” she says excitedly. “An’ earlier I was helpin’ a really nice lady fight off some red jerks, when somethin’ wierd happened! I got some sorta dark thingy stuck to my left hand now.”
Are you alright?” you ask her, suddenly panicked. If some ancient long-dead bastard somehow hurt your little girl, you’re gonna hunt them down and tear them to pieces! “Did you try using Triumph to remove it?”
“Nah, it’s kinda cool.” she says, happy-go-lucky as ever. “Plus when I want, it turns into a big magic shield! Isn’t that cool!”

“Wait, you didn’t get that from a walking skeleton, did you?” you ask her, suddenly remembering the beings you’d fought in Aku’s Abyss. They seemed to be able to drain the life force of living beings with those things, so how did Caulifla take one?
“Yeah! It tried to grab me and eat my energy with it. So I cut his hand off, and now it’s mine. He had a really big sword too, but I didn’t get to bring that back with me. Maybe I’ll get one next time? Hey, Daddy? You okay?”

“Wh-Huh?” you ask her, suddenly confused. “What’s wrong Cauli?”
“I just...” she starts, unsure what to say. “Your mind feels really really sad right now.”
“I’m fine kiddo.” you lie to her. “Just fighting an enemy Stand, it attacks by making me feel this way.”
“Really? That’s stupid.” she says, her cavalier dismissal catching you by complete surprise. “Of course you’re already sad. Me, big sis Chaya, Broly, an’ Chilli are all over here without you. An’ mister Box said you’re not coming with us too, so you won’t see us until we get back. But then we’ll all be together and happy again!”

What she says resonates deep within you, the oppressive negativity you’re buried in suddenly feeling several times lighter. Who cares about the eventual end? Everything dies, it’s what you do with your life that matters. You have many children and a wife that all need you, not to mention your friends, and even your species who all look up to you. Life is what you do with it. And right now, what you’re gonna do is end this Stand-wielding bastard once and for all!

“Thanks Cauli.” you tell her telepathically, unable to hold back a smile. “You really helped me out here, you get an extra headpat when you get home.”
“Teehee, I’ll hold you to that Daddy!” she replies, you feeling her boundless joy through the telepathic link. “Oh hey, I gotta go. Chilli wants to check out this thing on my hand. Love you Daddy!”
“Love you kiddo.” you think as the link ends, pushing yourself back up to your feet. Now, where is he?

“I-Impossible!” the Stand says, you turning to your right and seeing it floating in the mist. “I hit you with Soul Crush directly, how can you stand?”
“Because I have people relying on me.” you say, walking forward fearlessly. “Too many people I love are counting on me to fall.”
“You will submit!!” it bellows, all the mist scattered about gathering and slamming into you. But your will is iron and your mind resolute, so you keep walking forward. Step after step, you push forward. Not for your own sake, but for those who stand behind you. For those you protect, you cannot falter! You close the distance to within arm’s reach of the Stand, how will you end this?

You consider attacking the Stand one last time, but the damage you’d already taken makes you change your mind. After all, there’s a much softer target right behind you that’ll give the same end result. So you ignore the Stand, turning to face the user. He’s still down on the ground, left immobile from it’s earlier attack. As you look, you see that dozens of people nearby are all down as well, seems he attacked with his “ultimate move” indiscriminately. The sooner you end him, the sooner everyone else will return to normal. So without hesitation you reach down, grabbing the user by the leg and tossing him into the air.

“Dragon Force!” you shout, your Stand bellowing as it explodes forth. It charges forward, piercing straight through Jarek’s chest in a spray of gore. Wrapping around the enemy several times your Stand binds him into immobility. It then turns to you, addressing you directly.
What do you desire?” it asks, as if it doesn’t already know.
“End him.” you command, and your Stand obliges. There’s a flash of light, then as you watch the user’s body begins disintegrating outward from the hole in his chest.Jarek screams bloody murder, desperately clawing at your Stand and trying to get free. But it’s useless, and within moments the user is completely eradicated. As Jarek is obliterated you feel a weight lift off your heart, taking a deep breath you sigh out in relief. You got him.

“Huh?”
“What happened?”
“The hell?”

All of the people who were caught in that attack all snap out of it at once, looking around confused. But as they all see you standing tall, of course they all flock to you wanting answers.

“We were attacked.” you tell them honestly. “An enemy saboteur managed to sneak onto the ship, but I took care of him. Go back to your work, we need to get everything ready.”
“SIR!” they all shout, saluting and quickly returning to work. As the crowd disperses Nappa comes over, your friend seeming disturbed.
“You really got him?” he asks, you nodding to him. “Good. I don’t know what the hell he did, but that attack was intense. How did you fight it off?”

“To be honest, it wasn’t anything I did.” you tell him. “I got lucky.”
“Lucky?” he asks, confused. “What do you mean?”
“My daughter Caulifla called me.” you say, tapping the side of your head. “She wanted to tell me about what’s going on on her end, and she helped me break free of it.”
“I see.” he says. “Lucky break for us then.”
“Yeah.” you reply. “How about your little girl, Parsla? You heard anything from her?”
“Huh?” he asks, confused. “What do you mean?”
“Your daughter?” you ask him. “Don’t you talk with her?”
“Not really.” he replies easily. “Her mother is the one who spends time with her, I have too much to do.”
“Oh, I see.” you reply. “You should probably spend some time with her when this is all over. She could certainly use your help with controlling her power.”

“Perhaps.” he says, not committing to it as the two of you continue observing the construction as Meloka drops back down to your back. After defeating the Stand user, things rather quickly revert back to normal. Construction continues, the two of you watching as everything begins coming together. Barracks, training areas, hospitals, mess halls, an entire town springs up in this massive hangar space in just a matter of hours. It’s impressive, many of the people who’d been working going into the barracks and going to bed. You realize you should do the same, saying your farewell to Nappa and leaving the arm. Flying through space you return to the central area, walking through the halls and coming back to your own room. But as the door opens, you’re greeted with a surprising sight.

“Karn, I tried to dispel them!” Orlen says, as you look over the crowd of around two dozen Saiyans. Young and old, weak and strong, many different warriors are all seemingly waiting on you. “But they’re all here to see you. Something about training?”
“I heard you’re offering to take students on.” one man says, stepping forward. He’s a little larger built than you are, and his powerlevel seems to be one of the highest in the group. “What do you say, Karn? Will you teach me as well?”

“And me!” a younger man says, with several nasty scars across the left side of his face.
“Me too!” a tall, muscular woman says.
“Don’t forget me!” another says, the dozens of Saiyans here all shouting for you to teach them. You and Meloka share a glance, and while your wife seems a little annoyed you can’t help but smile. If they’re serious about improving, then there’s no way you’ll turn them down.

.....were PTO dude, everyone already has a uniform. Their armor.

Which means we need to give him an explanation of why our kids are overpowered monsters, and if he just does what we do, his daughter will be just as powerful. At the very least Vegeta understands what to do with his kids after learning from us, unlike canon Prince Vegeta. Thank Tatsu.
>No, but the Royal family has their own crest.
Close enough to a flag then. When we get around to it we can paste it on some Vox brand flag cloth(tm), and put it on every Covie homeworld.

Variety is the spice of JoJo. Life is secondary.

>Which means we need to give him an explanation of why our kids are overpowered monsters
Because they've had a personal trainer since infancy and come from a genetic stock that would put the giant bovines on Erf to shame. Being a good parent didn't make them strong, it made them not assholes.
>>
>>4286741
And it made them strong, example, Broly. He can use his Berserk form because we raised him right. Ergo, if Nappa raises up Parsla like we raise our kids, she can be equally as strong.

Has Vox just never got around to making flags for Vegeta and his figure set, or did Vegeta tell him to fuck off his crest? Pun intended.

>>
>>4287175
Let's not go crazy with the stands right off the bat.
Nappa and Galick are 100% getting stands if we can recover the artifact. Frieza and Vegeta also get freebies if they express interest.
Past that, we've got 4 options;
>Destroy it
By far the safest option, but also a massive waste.
>Give it to Frieza
He'll either destroy it, keep it locked up under the the heaviest security the PTO can muster, or pass it over to King Cold.
>Give it to Raven
We can keep it confined to New Salda and Raven can be the judge on its usage. Should be moderately safe there.
>Give it to Towa
Very real chance it would be stolen by an enemy Towa or the Time Patrol, but it keeps it out of our timeline and locked behind some of the strongest fighters in the multiverse.
>>
>>4287241
You forgot our wife and kids need it too, especially Meloka once she finishes her term, so that way all our future kids have Stands as well. Vegeta needs one too.
Otherwise we can keep ahold of it on New Salda before passing it off to Freeza.
>>
>giving the karn clan free access to stands

Sidenote guys, I know we talk a lot like Vegeta is surpassing us in terms of raw power-- But honestly the more likely one to do that is Bardock. His base power is way higher than Vegeta's, and his Gold Oozaru is on par with Vegeta's Primal, meaning when he unlocks Primal he'll be higher than our Ascended Berserker form by far. I know we've kinda accepted we can't plow past Frieza's power again for quite a while, but we should at least not relegate Karn to third place.

So uh....one last blogpost from me. And I can guarantee it to be my last one for...quiet some time to come, so that's the better news, and now heres the good news. Today's my birthday, turned 24 and still virgin. But who isn't these days so they aren't arrested, you know? Bad news. At least for me...I'm homeless now. Because I couldn't pay my landlord, even with the police report filed for my stolen check, she has evicted me and my mom, and refuses to allow us to make the payments now to stay in the house. So instead of seeing me whinge about being away for a bit because I have no internet, I'll just be, well, gone. And I don't know when I'll be back, so make sure to make tons of replies in the thread so I have something to read if I get back. Anyways, I got till Friday to find somewhere to pack my shit and wait for the final bit of evidence the Coast Guard need from the police, to send to the treasury department so I can be reissued the money by direct deposit. Bright side, won't have to do anything but pay off my loan debt. So...that's nice. I'll miss you faggots. I'll be here until at least Friday, and I'll probably be around 4chan getting my last shitposts in if you recognize me. Not gonna need it for a bit. I'm out in the middle of nowhere, but with the cash coming in at some point, I should be able to rent a place, but since everything is anti white guy these days, or refuse to hire someone without prior experience they couldn't get in the first place for even entry level jobs, I...am probably going to sign up for the military. If I can't find work, the meatgrinder is always there at least. So If ya'll never hear from me again, just assume I'm dead. Sorry about ruining the vibe with this ahead of time.

QM UPDATE

Alright everyone, good news and bad news. Bad news first, there will unfortunately be NO Saiyan Conqueror Quest this weekend, as something’s come up. On the plus side, I’ll have the second epilogue starring Chilli up sometime next week, hopefully by Wednesday. I apologize for the late notice, but unfortunately some things are out of my control.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 131 Eplogue I-

AGE 855, THE TIME NEST

“OWARI DA!!” Jiren roars, punching for Karn’s head. The defeated, beaten-down Saiyan is standing on the edge of the arena, eyes closed yet still barely standing. But as Jiren’s fist, blazing with his amazing power closes in on Karn’s head, he moves. You don’t see him move, but the results are clear. One moment he’s beaten, the next his right fist is planted square in Jiren’s gut, Universe 11’s champion’s upraised fist over Karn’s left shoulder. “GUH!?”

Before he can react Karn delivers a left uppercut to Jiren’s jaw, then spinning clockwise hits him square in the jaw with a right heel kick. The most powerful mortal of Universe 11 is blown away, flipping backwards and sliding to a stop. Karn takes a slow, deep breath, then opens his eyes to reveal they’ve changed into a familiar glowing silver: Ultra Instinct! As you watch Karn begins to dodge Jiren’s strikes and land vicious counter blows, you wonder, as you have been more and more recently: how can you achieve that divine state of being yourself?

“Trunks? Are you down here?” the Supreme Kai of Time calls out. You are Trunks: apprentice Supreme Kai of Time, second-in-command of the Time Patrol, and son of the Saiyan Prince Vegeta and human genius Bulma. With some of both your parents’ ability, you’d put your skills to the test for years as a member if the Time Patrol; an organization created by the Supreme Kai of Time to protect the flow of history from those who would disrupt it, namely the Time Breakers.
“Just checking on something.” you reply, as you roll the Time Scroll back up. You replace it back on the shelf, calling back up to her. “Is something wrong?”
“We’ve got a problem.” she calls, the tone of her voice causing you to rush back upstairs. As you burst through the hidden door you see her standing by the table, several time scrolls all radiating with malevolent energy.

“Woah.” you say, shutting the hidden passageway and walking over. “What is all this?”
“After our battles against those Towas, it seems several of them are now fighting each other.” she says, grabbing one very familiar scroll in particular and handing it to you. “Here, take a look.”
“Wait, isn’t this-?” you ask, the Supreme Kai of Time nodding to you seriously. So you open it, witnessing the attempted changes to history.
>>

AGE 954, THE DEMON REALM

At first everything seems calm, nothing out of the ordinary happening on a seemingly-empty plain. But that tranquility doesn’t last long.

KABOOM

“The hell’s going on?” you mutter, as suddenly there’s a massive explosion. And when the blast and smoke clears, you notice several things. First, there seems to be a subterranean structure that has been blown wide-open, that you couldn’t see or sense before somehow. Second, several extremely-powerful fighters all seem to have survived the blast. And third, you recognize one of the strongest mortals fighting down there and the divine, god-slaying spear she wields. “Wait, Chaya? Does that mean...?”
“Yes.” the Supreme Kai of Time says. “Thanks to this infighting, we now know where and when that Towa’s hideout is.”
“Then what are we waiting for?” you ask her. “Let’s gather everyone who’s strong enough and take the fight to them! This is our chance to finally stop her, once and for all!”

“No.” she says simply.
“Alright, I’ll gather everyone and-Wait, what?” you ask, confused. “What do you mean, no? They’re right there!”
“They are.” she says, the Supreme Kai of Time looking far more troubled than you’ve ever seen her. “But don’t you feel it? That ominous presence? Something else is at work here, something terrible.”
“I can answer that.” a familiar yet still strange voice says. You both turn, jaw dropping as you recognize the figure at the top of the stairs. It’d be hard not to: his tiny, grey body in those painfully bright clothes telling you exactly who this is. “Puddin, make sure nobody interrupts us, okay sweetie?”
“Oka-nya!” she says, leaving him as he waddles down the stairs towards you. Despite this Demon God’s small stature he still radiates with power, however, he feels somehow weaker than you remember. Almost as if someone’s taken a sizeable bite out of his strength.

“Demon Lord Dumplin.” the Supreme Kai of Time says, staring hard at him. “Since you’re here, I assume this isn’t your work?”
“We handle our shit in-house.” he replies angrily, then continues with much less heat after a moment. “No, this is different. One of my Towa went rogue, and stole them. Right out from under my nose!”
“You don’t have a nose.” she replies, both deities looking extremely disturbed. You’ve been an apprentice Kai of Time for years, yet have no idea what they’re talking about.
“Wait, them?” you ask, looking between the two opposite deities. The Supreme Kai of Time seems incredibly disturbed by this, even more than she was moments ago. “I don’t understand, what did she steal?”
“The Dark Dragon Balls.”
>>
>>4294382
“Wait, Dark Dragon Balls?” you ask, looking between them. “I’ve never heard of those before.”
“As well you shouldn’tve, biiiitch!” Dumplin complains, turning to the Supreme Kai of Time. “Ey, Chronoa! Why’s this cunt still here? Didn’t I tell you he’d ruin you?”
“I told you before, he’s my apprentice.” she says with a sigh before focusing. “But forget that, where are they now?”
“I dunno.” he replies. “But what I do know, is that cunt already made a wish on ‘em.”
“This is bad.” she replies. “Do you know what the wish was?”
“Yeah, yeah I do.” the short Demon God says angrily. “She revived that old raisin-lookin’ smurf, Mecha...Mekubo...Makakasan...?”
“Mechikabura, Dad!” Puddin calls from somewhere outside the Time Nest.
“Thank you sweety!” he calls back, his voice trying to sound sweet just sounds disturbing. “That asshole, Mecha Kaiba.”

“Is he the one who did this to you?” the Supreme Kai of Time asks. You wince in anticipation, re-opening the scroll and burying your face in it, but surprisingly nothing terrible happens. The Demon God simply sighs out, not sounding angry or frustrated but just bone-grindingly tired.
“That bastard caught me by surprise.” Dumplin finally says. “Hit me with some sorta magic I’d never seen, felt like he put some kinda hard debuff on me.”
“A debuff?” you ask him, having not heard the term before. “What’s that?”
“Trunks. Boi.” the Demon God says, as if your question is testing his patience. “Shush. Adults are talking here. Now, Chronoa. I’m sure you’re aware what’s going on now, so I’ll skip straight to the point. We have to stop him.”

“We?” she asks him. “So you want my help?”
“I don’t want it.” he replies with a little heat. “But I’m afraid I can’t do it alone. He’s already turned several demons into lesser Demon Gods, including a few of my Towa. I hate to ask, but will you help me?”
“I suppose we don’t have a choice, do we?” she replies with an odd smile, the two shaking hands. “Welcome back to the Time Patrol, Demon God Dumplin.”

What? WHAT?! Back? What the hell does she mean by that? You’ve been working with her since it was just the two of you, what the hell is going on here?

“Trunks? TRUNKS?” the Supreme Kai of Time shouts, snapping you out of your thoughts.
“Huh? Oh, sorry.” you reply. “What did you say?”
“Gather everyone.” she tells you. “Break time’s over, we’re going to war.”
“Y-Yes ma’am!” you reply, rushing from the Time Nest. It may have only been a couple days since the last attack on one of the Time Breaker Towa’s bases, but there’s no doubt many of them will be ready to go. They’re warriors, through and through.
>>
>>4294383
“Now where will they be?” you mutter to yourself as you emerge through the Time Nest portal into Conton City proper. Looking down over the city, with everyone going about their daily lives, you take a moment to appreciate everything you helped build here. But that doesn’t last long, if you don’t do your job well now everything here could be destroyed. So you rush down to the plaza, sensing the most powerful fighters in the entire city all congregated down there. But as you approach, you hear what sounds like an ongoing argument.

“Like hell I will!” you hear Father’s unmistakable voice carrying loudly, even from this distance. Rushing over you see a crowd’s formed, circling him, Goku, and surprisingly an adult Gotenks. “I’ll take them myself!”
“Aww, c’mon Vegeta.” Goku says pleadingly. “Why not?”
“I told you before, I’ll only use fusion as a last resort.” he retorts shortly. “And besides, relying on Fusion won’t let me surpass her!”
“Hate to interrupt, but we’ve got a mission!” you shout into the lull, turning all eyes towards you. “Goku, Father, we’re needed in the Time Nest. It’s bad.”
“Hmph.” he replies wordlessly, lifting into the air and leaving you all behind. Goku immediately takes off after him, Gotenks going to follow. But you snatch his ankle, the fused fighter turning to you.
“Hey, what’s the big idea?” Gotenks asks you. “There’s a big mission, right? C’mon, you gotta let me go.”
“Absolutely not.” you reply, a hard edge to your voice. “Supreme Kai of Time’s orders. This one’s classified.”

“Dammit.” the fused fighter says but no longer resists. You leave them behind, sending a quick message via scouter to your team as you fly out from under the building and straight into the air towards the minor, barely-noticeable distortion. While it’s virtually inaccessable without divine ki, you’re able to pass through it easily once transformed into your Super Saiyan God form. As soon as you pass into the time distortion a massive wall of ki slams into your face, almost sending you reeling back out into Conton City. You manage to brace yourself, just barely avoiding getting embarrassed. However, the teo combatants don’t seem to notice you, their battle shaking even this special-made, reinforced pocket dimension.

“ACE!” you shout, both fighters stopping at your shout and turning to you. “We’ve gotta go, Supreme Kai of Time need us. All three of us.”
“Very well.” Jiren says, Ace in his Evolved Blue form nodding as well. “Let’s go.”

As the three of you leave the distorted space, flying back towards the Time Nest, you can’t help but wonder that, if even will all these powerful warriors assembled: will it be enough?

I FUCKING KNEW IT. Dumplin’s existence only makes sense as the protagonist of TFS’s Xenoverse playthrough, and I wondered how he and Ace could coexistence since they’re both meant to fill the protagonist spot of that game.

So now there’s only a few questions left to ask.

How many times has Chronoa had to rebuild the Time Patrol from nothing when a Towa gets lucky and destroys them all? How many versions of Trunks have died on her? I bet she’s been doing this same song and dance for a very long time.

QM UPDATE

This epilogue’s already longer than the last one, at this rate if it’s not done by Wednesday it’ll be out Thursday, so stay tuned. In themeantime, who’s ready to start training? And, perhaps more importantly, how will you train them?
>>
>>4300002
Ready to check back in at some point for the epilogue and training, but I'm running ragged loading and loading shit out of my house.
>>
>>4300002
>And, perhaps more importantly, how will you train them?
Well, I think ideally we split it up into two sections.
One would just be essential stuff that every Saiyan be able to do if they're gonna be in the field (Power-Ball, Ki Sense, Scattershot, Death Beams, Ki Blades, etc...)
All of those skills are gonna be invaluable while fighting the Covenant. Ki blades and Ki Sense in particular will drastically reduce their chances getting ganked by cloaked Elites. The rest give them a basic Oh-Shit button and cover most distances.
After that, we do specialized training on a case by case basis. Lattu is particular needs to get the timidness beaten out of her as well as getting her base powerlevel up to snuff so she can actually maintain her transformation.
As for the others, we just need to find out what they suck at and shore up those weaknesses, and hopefully we can also find something they're good at so we can polish those skills.
>>
Alright, last day of packing, and found a storage unit. So filling that up as much as possible. If nothing else goes wrong, should be back next week-ish. So you guys better make a lot of comments, speculation, and porno ideas for Vox's money printer while I'm gone.
>>
>>4300002
Did a little bit of reading in the pastebin, and I have a few questions about one of our more recently gained abilities
>Dark Side- move objects and even people around with your mind, predict your opponents movements, and channel your wrath into the world for devastating effects.
The telekinesis I knew about, but does that second part mean we have limited precognition? Is using the force to predict attacks different than relying on our instincts like we have been before, or were those instincts just a result of our preexisting connection to the force?
And for that last bit, clarification sorely needed. I know our incomplete force lightning can cause massive damage for example, but what else can we do with that with further training?
>>
>>4300161
Tecchniques and shoring up weaknesses could be good. And specialized may be possible, but each student you focus on will limit your time teaching them all.
>>4300732
Good luck
>>4300951
>Did a little bit of reading in the pastebin
Thank you. I’m glad someone is.
Yes, and it’s possible. But not knowing, you’ll have to wait and see.
>And for that last bit, clarification sorely needed
It’s channeling your rage, your anger for different abilities. Some effects are external, such as devastating waves of force. And others are internal, and you’ll have to wait and see how that’ll be revealed. As for further levels of training, plenty of things: storms of lightning, grabbing victim’s internal organs through their bodies, mind tricks, all sorts of things are possible.
>>
>>4301958
>storms of lightning, grabbing victim’s internal organs through their bodies, mind tricks, all sorts of things are possible.
I want to eventually get it to a point where we can crush vital organs or actively rip out chunks of grey matter given enough time.
>>
>>4301958
Well obviously we'll have general training with all of the, but I think our focus should be on anybody who's close to transforming.
We could always use more Super Saiyans.
>>
>>4301993
It’s a devastating technique against someone who can’t block it. Although starting out, the easiest route learning it will be dislocating joints/bones.
>>4302000
Super Saiyans are a powerful force multiplier, but most warriors aren’t anywhere near close to achieving even the False Super Saiyan State.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 131 Epilogue II-

AGE 749, PLANET YAARM’S ORBIT

“I’m gettin’ kinda nervous.” Caulifla says, your little sister sounfing uncertain.
“If you don’t wanna be in the first wave, you can stay here.” your older brother Broly says, Cauli shaking her head. “Alright. But stay behind me, okay? I’ll protect you.”
“Okay!” she says excitedly, and despite trying your best to stay calm you can feel yourself getting excited too. So you close your eyes, and focus on your breathing as the Guardian had taught you all those years ago. You still miss the ancient master, turning to his teachings whenever you feel yourself hesitating.
“Hey, Chilli!” Chaya calls, your older sister walking right over to you. Despite being told to stay seated until the door opens. “C’mon, you falling asleep over there?”

“I’m fine.” you reply, not breaking your rhythm. You are the Savior of the Crimson Demons and strongest mage amongst the entire Saiyan race, the Super Saiyan Chilli. Right now you’re somewhere above the first invasion target planet in one of hundreds of thousands of Vox’s dropships, descending on the Hive-controlled world. In this ship with you are your siblings Chaya, Broly, and Caulifla, along with Megumin and three camera droids. Having gone over the plan with everyone the night before you’re all ready to go, but Megumin beside you seems nervous. So you reach over with your right hand, the contact to her leg making her jump.

“Eep!” she says, surprised, then quickly tries to hide her face with her pointy hat.
“You okay?” you ask her, concerned. “Everything alright?”
“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine.” she says, then mumbles something you don’t catch into her hat. But before you can ask her anything else, the pilot speaks.
“Atmosphere breach successful.” it says over the speakers. “Preparing to deploy.”
“Alright everybody, look alive!” Chaya shouts, your sister smiling eagerly, almost predatorily. “It’s go time.”
“Yeah!” Cauli shouts, lifting her burning sword overhead excitedly. “Let’s go fight some monsters!”
“Doors opening in three, two...” the pilot says, everyone still seated rising to their feet. This is it! “One. Happy hunting.”

And the doors open.

“Let’s go!” Chaya shouts excitedly, leaping out first. One of the cameras immediately follows her, Broly then turning his shield to fit it through, waiting for Caulifla then leaping out together with her. The second camera follows them, the last one looking to you and Megumin.
“You ready?” you ask her, Archmage of the Crimson Demons nodding nervously. You grab her hand, gently squeezing it to give her some confidence, then leap out of the dropship with her.
>>
>>4302916
You leap from the dropship, taking in the sight of the planet far below you. It’s a barren, desert world with a single city rising out from it like a shining beacon. That city is the first thing you notice, the second is that there’s something headed right for you all!Or, rather, a flock of somethings. They look like the Hive beings you’d seen before, except larger than the dropship you’d rode in on and flying on wings wider than their bodies are long. The lead beast screeches up at you all, half a battle cry and half sounding an alarm. However, before you can close in or prepare a magical strike Chaya’s already closing in. She slams a ki-clad foot into the lead being’s head, kicking straight through it and down into the flock while laughing. As you’d jumped, however, Megumin’d pulled her hand free. After Chaya’s kick through the lead creature you’d turned to see her holding onto her staff with one hand, and her hat with the other.

“You ready?” you ask her, creating a fully crystal staff in your free hand.
“Let’s do this!” she shouts, you drawing level with her and synchronizing your magical energies together.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=ERKnkHq-6XA

“Like a falling star of destruction, we descend upon this world.” you both say, having practiced this little chant together for hours last night in preparation for this. This is your “big introduction” in Dreadzone after all, and it has to be flashy. “By the laws of nature, let our chaos become manifest! Consume this world, and turn it to ash within the crimson! EXPLOOOOOSION!!”

And combining your magical energy with Megumin’s, you both unleash a full-power, combined Explosion!

KABOOM

The city down below, buildings covered in the black chitinous substance the Hive coat everything in, is suddenly consumed by your combined attack. The blast is enormous, and as the smoke clears you see that the blast actually leveled it!

“So we don’t have to worry about the city?” you’d asked in yesterday’s meeting.
“The Hive will have turned it into a death trap.” Vox had told you. “You saw how well they blend in. Plus, with that underground bunker, we don’t really know what all’s down there. Especially with that one guy that had a beef with your father, oh, what was his name? Bah, either way, obliterate it. But don’t destroy the crashed ship, it’ll make a good set piece for future episodes of Dreadzone.”
“Alright, we’ll see to that!” Megumin’d bragged. And sure enough, the two of you just did.

“Nice shot, you two.” Tanya’s voice comes in over your scouter. “Tens of millions of energy signatures just went dark, but stay on your toes. This fight is far from over.”
>>
>>4302918
“Understood.” you reply, looking over to your fellow mage who’s grinning at you with a very self-satisfied smile. You grin back, grabbing onto her and helping her slow her descent. Your team lands outside the cratered city without further incident, you reopening comms to the general. “City destroyed, no allied casualties.”
“Good, now hurry and clear that bunker.” she replies, you hearing a battle going on in the background on her end. “We’ve encountered heavy resistance around the downed ship, clear that thing out and get over here as soon as possible.”

“Understood.” you reply, closing comms as the five of you plus the three cameras begin your search of the ruins. Which only takes moments, as you see the bunker’s sealed entrance in basically the center of the crater.
“Nice shot you guys!” Chaya shouts, the five of you approaching the massive sealed door. “Now, how do we open-?”

BOOM

Your older brother Broly slams a big green fist square into the middle of the metal door as Chaya talks, it groaning and squealing in protest. He pulls his fist back, picking up his giant shield and holding it in both hands. Seeing what he plans to do you back up a step, pulling Megumin back as well.

“RRRAAAAAAA!!” he roars, sparks dancing around his green aura as he charges up to full power. His sudden burst of power nearly knocks you over, charging with his shockwave and slamming full-force into the reinforced entrance. It can’t withstand his full power, metal groaning and snapping as he knocks the door down. It clatters down the down-sloping entrance, it disappearing further down into the darkness. He then sighs out, reverting back to his normal size but keeping his base Super Saiyan form.
“That works too, I guess.” Chaya says, sticking her tongue out at Broly. He smiles at her, you, Megu, and your sisters look down into the darkness. “Wow. That’s dark. Everybody transform, we’ll need the light.”
“Right!” Caulifla shouts, transforming into a Super Saiyan as well. But you’d prefer to save your physical power until it’s needed, and opt for a more magical solution.

“Ignite.” you say, snapping your fingers and channeling your magic. A blindingly bright, flickering flame appears above your head. The small flame shines brighter than your siblings’ glowing auras, Caulifla and Broly looking impressed while Chaya seems a bit irritated. “So, who’s going first?”
“I’ll go!” Chaya exclaims, walking fearlessly into the darkness. Broly follows immediately, Caulifla sticking close to his back. You and Megumin share a look before walking in, her expression confirming the ominous feeling you’re feeling. Something’s not just down there, but whatever it is, it’s waiting for you.
>>
>>4302922
The five of you walk down in a loose formation, Chaya leading and you bringing up the rear as all your senses are on high alert. The air down here is old, stale, and stained by malevolence. Whatever lived down here was fueled by hate, a hate who’s magnitude you can barely fathom. Megumin senses it as well, your friend shivering from the sensation.

“You alright?” you ask her, Megu shaking her head. “You feel it too?”
“...Yeah.” she replies after a moment. “There’s evil down here. Let’s get out of here as soon as we can, okay?”
“We will.” you say, trying to sound brave like your Dad. No matter how bad things get, he always stays strong. And you have to be strong too, not just for your sake but everyone’s. The five of you continue further down, walking over the busted door as the path before you suddenly comes to a split.

“Well, shit.” Chaya says, trying to read the only sign. It has an arrow pointed to each path, yet the scribbles above it are meaningless. Nobody in your little group can decipher them, leaving you all with a choice. “So, I guess we’re splitting up?”
“I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Megumin says. “Don’t you feel it?”
“Feel what?” Chaya asks, clearly oblivious. But Broly’s eyes narrow at you both, seemingly understanding her and your worry. “None of the Hive have gotten in, and there’s nothing alive down here anyways. Stop bein’ such a ‘fraidy cat Megu.”

“But-!” she starts, you laying a hand on her shoulder. She looks over to you, while you shake your head. When she gets like this there’s no stopping her, best to just let her go.
“Caulifla and I will go left.” Broly says as he transforms up into his Berserker form, your little sister flying up on his shoulder like she does with Dad sometimes. “We can handle it.”
“Alright, then we’re goin’ right!” Chaya says, marching along without looking back. “C’mon, let’s go already!”
“Stay close.” you say to Megumin, your friend clutching her staff nervously and nodding as you both follow Chaya. She’s clearly irritated, no doubt preferring to be out at the main battlefield instead of searching through this place, but everyone has a job to do.

“Look, we have no idea what’s actually down there.” Tanya’d explained to her during the briefing. “And we can’t simply leave it alone. We’ll need our single-best fighter there to handle whatever’s hiding in it, then once it’s clear you can swoop in heroically and save the day. But you gotta search that place thoroughly, got it?”
“Tanya can be pretty harsh sometimes.” you think to yourself, following Chaya as the three of you take the right path. It continues down deeper into the planet, your feeling of unease growing more profound. Almost as if something is watching you.
>>
>>4302923
As the three of you travel down the nondescript hallway, the sensation of being watched intensifies. Yet every time you turn around, nothing is out of place. You can’t feel anything with your magical or ki senses, and the hallway itself, while wide, doesn’t have any sort of decoration other than what seem to be a sort of measurement marked every so often along the walls. After the fourth time you turn, Megumin turns as well.

“What’s wrong?” she asks, Chaya turning and seeing you both. But you don’t reply aloud, opting for a more subtle approach.
“We’re being watched.” you tell them both telepathically.
“Well, duh.” Chaya replies aloud, gesturing to the two silently-floating cameras. “You get used to it after awhile. Now c’mon, let’s hurry up and get to the bottom of this place already. My fists are getting itchy.”
“That’s...” you say, then shake your head. She’s not going to change her mind, so you just mutter a bit to yourself as the three of you venture deeper and deeper down. After another minute or two you come to another door, built much like the first one but smaller.

“Another one?” she asks, more for the cameras than you two. “Alright, stand back. I’ve got this one!”
“Ice Wall.” you say, slapping the ground between you and Chaya, a foot-thick wall of ice springing up from the ground. You could have used your crystal magic to make an even-stronger barrier, but one made of crystal would be much harder to remove once it’s no longer needed. “Alright, go ahead.”
“HAAAAAAA!!” Chaya shouts, Ascending in a burst of golden aura and sparks of lightning. But she doesn’t stop there, pouring more and more energy into her muscles to swell herself up. While it does make you far more powerful, you don’t use the form yourself as it’s too slow to fight effectively with. If you can’t match someone as a normal Super Saiyan, then you won’t be able to stand up to them using that bulky form either. But Chaya’s fans clearly enjoy the form, your sister using it now to power through this obstacle. She stomps forward, pulling back her right fist then swinging with all her might. “HIYAAAAAA!

“Wow, that’s durable.” Megumin says, your sister’s mighty blow denting the door but not knocking it down. Undeterred, your sister swings her left, then her right again, then pulls her foot back for a front kick
“HRAAAAAA!!” she snarls while kicking it, the force bending the door enough to send it crashing into the room beyond. “Ha! You can’t keep me out, stupid door!”
“Woah.” you say, your jaw dropping as you get a look inside. Robots, rows and rows of robots all standing at attention as far as your eyes can see.
>>
>>4302926
“That’s a lotta robots.” Megumin says, you leaving your Ice Wall up as Chaya walks in. And, as she does, you hear an audible:

CLICK

as she takes her first step inside. Something within the darkness begins to hum, several lights of different colors illuminating your sister.
“SAIYAN DETECTED.” an automated voice says, the three of you watching as thousands of pairs of red eyes begin glowing. “DESTROY ALL SAIYANS.”
“DESTROY ALL SAIYANS!” the thousands of machines reply in chorus, drawing paired rifles from their backs and aiming them at Chaya.
“Oh shi-!” she says, as thousands of laser rifles begin firing at her without hesitation. She’s unable to move fast enough to avoid them all, guarding her face and body with her forearms and legs as the sheer volume of blasts sends her crashing back-first into your Ice Wall. “Tch!”

“Hold on!” you shout to her, expanding the wall to swallow her and shield her from the lasers. Manipulating the ice you expand it out around her, shifting it around and manipulating it until the doorway is blocked. Now that she’s save you free her, Chaya falling out of the ice on your side of the wall. “You okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine.” she says, rising back to her feet without inspecting the damage. “Melt this wall, I’m going back in there.”
“Hold on, not yet.” you reply, Chaya turning and glaring at you. “Don’t look at me like that. You saw how puch force those rifles of theirs are packing. We need a plan to get in there without getting filled with holes.”
“Look, I’m fine, see?” she says, showing you her forearms. And, sure enough, while the rifles left their mark on her armor, they didn’t seem to have pierced her skin. “Now, take it down already.”

“Just wait a moment, and listen to me.” you tell her, several mechanical fists slamming into your magical ice. Despite several cracks appearing it holds, you briefly explaining your plan to her telepathically. She nods to you, Megumin doing the same. Time to make this happen! Both Chaya and Megumin move to opposite sides of the frozen doorway, you walking right up to it. Clenching your fists you transform, the legendary golden strength of Super Saiyan surging through your body. But that’s not all, you focusing your magic through your ancient dagger and encasing your body within it’s magical crystals. More and more crystals grow, forming a large golem around yourself. And just as soon as you’ve finished creating your Crystal Armor, the machine monsters smash down your Ice Wall.

“DESTROY ALL-“ is all the first two through can say, as you charge shoulder-first into the opening. With all the extra mass entombing you, your sudden charge sends them flying and crashing back into their fellows. You burst forth into the room, every still-standing machine taking aim.
>>
>>4302928
“SAIYANS!” they all say, again opening fire. Unlike your sister, however, your Crystal Armor is hefty, and reflects many of the energy projectiles right back into their forces. This spell took you a long time to master, especially considering how swiftly you’d learned many of your other go-to spells, but these results are definitely worth it. Their beam weapons are rendered completely ineffective, thousands upon thousands of blasts reflecting harmlessly off of your crystal exterior. But you don’t just stand there and let them attack: focusing your magic into the golem’s right hand you create a spiked club at the end of it’s hand and swing. Your arcing strike sweeps through the machines, shattering them and sending metal pieces flying everywhere.

“CHARGE!!” Chaya roars from behind you, your sister blitzing into the room having reverted from her giant muscular form. Swinging her massive sword in fast, semi-circular arcs, she cuts the machine warriors down by the half-dozen with each swipe. But as you’re distracted, one leaps right for you in the massive spike on the golem’s right shoulder and slams a metal fist right by your head. As disturbing as it is for these machines to discern your weakness so quickly, thankfully they lack the raw power to actually break through your armor. With your armor not even cracking from the surprise hit, you charge forward and attack them with raw power. No need to show off any of your fancy tricks or special techniques here, better to conserve your strength until you need it. Holding this armor together requires quite the magical investment, no need to burn yourself out yet.

You and your older sister battle the machines for several minutes, until finally the last one falls. As it does, the glowing red eyes fading to black, you release your hold on the spell. Your armor cracks then shatters, crystal pieces raining down around you as you land on your feet. Megumin comes into the room once you end your armor spell, knowing that if it wasn’t dropped it on purpose, you’d need help immediately.

“You okay?” she asks, walking over to you.
“I’m fine.” you reply, taking a few slow, deep breaths. “I think we got them all.”
“Hey, come check this out!” Chaya shouts from somewhere to your left. You force yourself upright, and the two of you follow her voice towards a smaller-than-normal doorway. Peering in, you see Chaya sitting at a chair inside and looking over more than a dozen lit screens. You see more of the machine soldiers in a few, and in one you see Broly and Chaya. But they’re not alone.
>>
>>4302930
You watch, mesmerized, as the foor behind them begins moving. It has to be silent, as neither of them reacts, but you can’t look away as the floor begins rising, taking shape as it’s surface changes from a floor to a more reflective metal. But it doesn’t stop there, changing and morphing until it’s a perfect copy of Broly! From his height to his armor and green hair, it looks like an exact match. What the hell?

“Broly, behind you!” Chaya shouts into her Scouter, you watching as your brother turns, both he and Caulifla starting in surprise. It mirrors your brother’s movements, looking just as shocked as he does. “It’s another machine!”

Caulifla points at it while clearly shouting, Broly guarding them both with his shield as the shapeshifting thing begins recoiling. Having been on the receiving end of what Caulifla calls “Triumph”, you know it’s a super-hot invisible blast of flames. And it’s clearly affecting the thing, the coloring reverting to metallic, then glowing as it swiftly begins turning red-hot. She keeps up the attack, it trying to force it’s way through but is unable. After another few seconds it begins melting, no longer able to maintain it’s shape. As this happens, however, that feeling of being watched returns. And as it does your stomach drops, the realization hitting you like enhanced gravity. You spin, dagger’s blade pointed at a surprising sight: yourself, Megumin, and Chaya!

“ICE WALL!!” you roar, again slamming your left palm to the ground and magically conjuring another elemental barrier between you and your doppelgängers. Your sudden shout catches Chaya and Megu’s attention, the pair shouting in surprise. “Megu, now!”
“Let the storm blow! Let the flames roar!” she shouts, gathering her magical energy. You do the same as you rise to your feet, synchronizing your magical energy’s wavelength to hers as the machines begin attacking your wall. And unlike the last machines, these shifting things stretch their fingers to pierce straight through your wall and into you! “CHILLI!!”
“GAH!!” you cry out, as one pierces into your lower gut, another in your left shoulder, and the third pierces right into your face! The blade pierced into you right below your eye and into your cheek, agony coursing through your body. But you don’t give up yet, struggling to maintain your connection to the magic and continue the chant. “It is the ultimate magic, that turns the impossible possible!”

“Burst forth!” you both roar together, unleashing your combo spell. “EXPLOSION!!!”

And then everything goes white.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 131 Epilogue II End-
>>
God fucking damn it chaya are we really going to have to beat some humility in to you once this is over? Do you want to be Vegeta'd? Because I'm starting to think you need to be Vegeta'd.
>>
That was flawless work on Chilli's part, we need to make sure Chaya becomes less arrogant though, she may be strong, but she isn't top 1% in power like her Daddy yet
>>
>>4303162
Nah she's not a Vegeta, she's a Goku. Maza's a Vegeta.
>>
>>4303162
She’s gonna lose her arm at this rate if we don’t teach her humility
>>
>>4303162
>are we really going to have to beat some humility in to you once this is over?
She's been letting her fame get to her head for quite a while. Nothing wrong with being confident, but this is very shortly gonna turn into the kind of behavior that'll get her killed. Doubly so for anybody unfortunate enough to be on a team with her.
Being strong isn't about the fans and the fame, but being ready to fight and die. Whoever. Whenever. Wherever. Karn would be dissapointed, but Tatsu wouldn't even bother with an attitude like that.
>>
>>4303210
She's not a Goku. Goku was fight junkie, and sort of an idiot, but he didn't have issues with not being in the spot light or being cocky about his PL.

Shes definitly a Vegeta. Except instead of 'Prince of the Saiyan Race' its 'The Champion' she has the be strongest, the one in the lead, the one who's everyones eyes are on, getting the most glory. Its pure unfiltered Ego. And its going to get her killed. As we can see here it ALMOST got Chilli killed.

>>4303243
Or get her foolself or her siblings killed.

>>4303250
Agreed with all of this. If she doesn't straight out by the time this campaign is over, we're going to have to put our boot to her ass until she learns her title and attention mean SHIT when people start dying, and by the useless kais and the old sayian god of swoleness I will tear up whatever contract she has with Vox, tell him to blow it out his ass, and take her out of Dreadzone until she gets her head on straight if I have to.
>>
Less than 24 hours before episode 132 begins!

>>4303162
She certainly has her own arrogant streak
>>4303204
He’s certainly smart. One can’t study magic without a certain level of intelligence, and he’s exceptional among Saiyans.
>>4303210
Ha!
>>4303243
The price of overconfidence can be quite steep indeed.
>>4303250
Hard not to, when you’ve been on top for years. But as we all know, pride goeth.
>>4303265
>As we can see here it ALMOST got Chilli killed
To be fair, that one at the end wasn’t her fault. Which, consider this: Chaya’s Ascended Super Saiyan is twice as strong as Karn’s was, when you went to rescue Bardock and finally kill Nefarious.
>>
>>4303554
>Which, consider this: Chaya’s Ascended Super Saiyan is twice as strong as Karn’s was
Which still means jack-shit given how limited it is in terms of mobility.
It's a shame she doesn't have the power to go for Super Saiyan 3 just yet, though I imagine she'll get sick of her limitations and get creative. Hell, maybe she'll take a page from Chilli's book and ask Cell for some advice.
>>
>>4303677
That’s for her regular Ascended(Super Saiyan 2), not Ultra 2. She will certainly grow tired of her limits, she is Karn’s daughter after all.
>>
>>4303709
>That’s for her regular Ascended(Super Saiyan 2), not Ultra 2
Wait, her Regular Ascended is at x200 now? Because as far as I know, Karn's pre-green Ascended was at x100.
>>
>>4303714
I was comparing their transformed powerlevels. Karn’s children are each exceptional, easily shattering the barriers you struggled through.
>>
>>4303829
Ahhhh, now I get it.
And yeah, it's insane how much of a headstart they have. I can only imagine how fast our latest kid is gonna smash through all those records though.
>>
I'm just waiting for our Legendary Kid to be born, they're gonna be the REAL Monster amongst our kids
>>
>>4303848
That's not even gonna be the best part about it.
>One of Karn's kids comes out green
>the few remaining rumors about Broly not being Karn's biological son are put to rest
>>
>>4303832
>>4303848
He’s certainly got a leg up. If he makes it
>>4303866
Would certainly call things into question
>>
>>4304367
If the boy dies I'm going to utilize my cosmic energy to reach through this screen and give you a teary-eyed message about the pain the loss has caused me.

Or in layman's terms, shitpost loudly.

Weak in the sense that he was more focused on his revenge against a dead dynasty? Or weak in that he couldn't physically restrain his son to any appreciable degree.

Both obviously
