Last time, on Dragon Ball Tuffle Quest Kai! Gohan, Pantea, and Videl got their potential unlocked by Elder Kai and had a session of sparring together to test out their new skills. Meanwhile, Peppa’s school life continues, though with the paparazzi hounding her and trying to take the World Champion down a peg. However, teaching Cocoa more about Ki control and a pleasant meal with her parents allows Peppa a chance to look forward and reflect on her actions from before. What challenges are ahead for the Tuffle Trio? Good luck, Izzy! Good luck, Peppa! Good luck, Gohan!

“So, you’ve got most everything you need for all this, yeah?” your dad asks you, heading over after finishing another afternoon lesson with Monty.

You rub the back of your neck. “Sssssorta. I’ve scoped out the places I’d like to head to, places where we could get some answers.” You show him a bit of paper with the info you could find on Z’S on it. There are two significant points of interest on the planet, ruins of some kind, even in spite of the planet’s immense gravity. “We’d be stationed on an observation platform owned by the Galactic Patrol, and have a couple days to try and find these…” You point to a couple circled items. “The supposed ‘Heart of a Star’ that has some rumored Magical power to it, and the ‘Destroyer’s Appeasement,’ a mystical tablet of some kind that was discovered by research teams previously, but was never brought out of the planet’s gravity.”

Acer looks it over, Monty approaching and glancing at it too. “Hmn. Says you’ll be supervised by a Galactic Patrolman by the name of Merus.”

“Yeah, Peppa apparently worked with him before.” you reply. “During her date with Cocoa on that movie set planet thing.”

“Heard Raditz complain about him a bit before…” Acer rubs his chin. He then blinks, staring into the air for a moment, an odd look in his eyes. “You… wouldn’t mind your old man being there with you too, right kiddo?”

While the thought to whine about being treated like a little baby in need of supervision still does indeed cross your mind, you get that there’s probably a reason he’s asking that. “Couldn’t hurt I guess. But assuming you’re not doing this out of worry, why do you wanna come with, dad?”

“It’s not worry, more like a hunch about something.” he replies. “Plus it’d be good to have an extra pair of hands helping out with it, right?”

You raise an eyebrow. “Suuuuure.”

Dad pats your shoulder. “Great! We’ll be ready by next weekend then, yeah?”

“Ssssuuuuuuurre.” Your eyes narrow. Dad’s planning something.

He starts to walk off, though Monty stays behind. “What exactly do you hope to find down there?” he asks.

“Pardon?”

He crosses his arms. “You’ve already gotten even more new powers and stuff, so what do you hope to gain, exactly, when you arrive there?” He gives the paper a glance again. “Just more magical artifacts?”

>A. It’s because of my new abilities that I want to head down there. I need more hints on what all I might be capable of in order to really bring out my full potential with it

You stretch your arms. “Weeeell, a few reasons. One is that I want to head there because of these new abilities. I need some more hints, more info on what I might be capable of, what I should try to focus on and explore, in order to really test my limits, and eventually surpass them.” You then place your hands behind your back. “Similarly though, it’s good to try new things, isn’t it? I don’t wanna just limit myself to what’s on Earth.”

He rubs his chin. “Huh. I guess that makes sense.”

“Plus the planet has unnaturally high gravity, and Vegeta and Nappa got really strong training there. Might be good for my own training too.” You walk forward, smiling at Monty. “Sounds like you’re curious about coming along too. Do ya?”

His eyes widen, and he shyly starts to mumble, “W-well, I, uh, I don’t want to impose or… uh…”

“Good idea Izzy! Monty, if your parents are up for it, you can come along too.” dad calls out.

Monty’s head hangs a little, shoulders slouching. “Y-yes sir…” he sighs.

“You don’t want to?” you ask more quietly.

“I’m… just hoping I won’t be a distraction, is all…” He turns his head, looking away.

“You won’t be distracting me or Peppa, believe me.” you state.

His head tilts and he laughs awkwardly. “Right. Yeah.”

“Before you get too ahead of yourself, you better make sure you’re all caught up on your schoolwork, Izzy.” mom calls out from above, peeking out of a balcony.

“Y-yes mom!” you call back. Hmm… she does bring up a good point. Shouldn’t neglect schoolwork, but also, you should try testing out your skills a bit more before it’s time…

>A. Double down on schoolwork, get ahead of where you’re supposed to be in order to put more time on this later
>B. Work on Mahou a bit more, you need to experiment with your skills and limitations on that

Well… thanks to what Sachie showed you, perhaps you could get EXTRA work done with the Multi-Form? Ohoho, delightfully devilish, Izzy. Or… so you think. While you can make a couple copies that can definitely do the tasks you need, maintaining them for such a long time ends up quite… tricky. In fact, while studying, using two of you to try and make sure you get more information in your head at once… you end up arguing with… er, yourself.

“Okay but if we don’t make sure we’ve got inductive proofs mastered like simple addition, we’ll fall behind on how ready we are for the end of semester exams!” your copy exclaims.

“Yes I get that, but literary analysis is a point where we struggled with last semester, and that’s where Peppa pulled ahead! We need to get THAT done first!”

“If it’s what we struggled with, then it’s what we need to dedicate more time towards! Get the mathematics over with and we can focus on literature.” She stands up, raising her voice a bit.

You do the same. “If we keep pushing it off to the side then it’ll never get the time it needs! You remember those studying tips we got, right?”

And this continues for a good while before Chi-chi finally opens your door. Giving you a veeeery displeased look. “You know, when you said you had an idea on how to study more efficiently, I assumed you’d be using it to actually study, Izumi.”

You and your copy slouch. “Yes mom…”

She walks closer and pokes you both in the foreheads. “No more arguing with yourself, got it?”

“...You know you’re taking this better than I thought you would.” you comment, your copy nodding.

She laughs. “Izzy, sweetheart, you remember who you’re talking to, right? Tien pulling that trick so many years back stuck in my mind for quite a while.” Chi-chi then sets a cup of tea down for you. “Now, no more arguing with yourself? Out loud, at least.”

“Yes mom.” Okay, okay, focus, how can you use this to better? You’re tempted to try having your copy focus on your Mahou form while you study but- …waaaait. Idea! Instead of having a copy out for a long amount of time, have a copy out to study in shorter bursts. A few days’ worth of this and you are way ahead of even where you thought you’d be, and you already were putting that big brain of yours to work getting a couple weeks ahead of class. Muwahahahaha~! You’ll outdo Peppa this time, you know it!

And while you’ve got your studying going down, you also decide to check up on Monty’s training. He’s definitely gotten pretty tough compared to when he started, but… not entirely sure he’s ready for a world with such high gravity. You’d say… about Power Level of 700 at this point. Maybe enough to handle up to 10x Earth’s gravity with some difficulty, but not 90x even that. Then again, even you would have difficulty moving on a planet like that in base.

“So, when the Galactic Patrol does research into the planet, they tend to use specialized suits with artificial gravity in them.” you comment to him after his warm-up. “You think you’ll be good using one?”

He nods. “Yeah. Though if need be I’ll be staying high in orbit above it.”

“Oh?” you respond curiously.

He lifts off the ground a bit, taking to the air. “Yeah, ideally I’d try and keep high enough that I wouldn’t immediately rocket to the surface.”

You place your hands on your hips. “Trying to enter into orbit around something actually takes a significant amount of speed to pull off. That’s why rockets need a lot of thrust.” You bring a finger to your chin. “…There may be alternatives, though.”

He sets down on the ground. “Like what?”

>A. The Raio-Ken lets you move quick as Lightning. Maybe dad can help you try to access it?
>B. Magic, of course! Actually maybe this could help us both, you wanna try learning a bit of Magic with me?

You grin. “The Raio-ken. With it, you can move quick as Lightning. Maybe you could ask dad on how to access it?”

“He’s still a bit off from it.” Acer comments, approaching.

I’m sure you could tune up his suit’s failsafes, make sure it’s even more secure than normal.” kicking a pebble with your shoe gently, you add, “I might be able to help with that too, you know.”

“Well, if the Galactic Patrol will let me show off some of those Tuffle smarts of mine.” he faux-humbly remarks. “And the Clothes Beam could definitely replicate a few things if need be.”

“...What would show that I’m ready for the Raio-ken, Master Acer?” Monty questions.

Your dad’s surprised by that. “Ah. Well…”

“Oh yeah, I bet there’s some really complicated training you’ve got for that!” you add in. “Have you been showing Monty some really tough challenges or-”

Dad holds out an… egg. Normal chicken egg. With a face on it. You immediately stop. What. “Like when we started.” Acer comments.

You stare blankly, and yet Monty seems to understand completely. “All right, sir.”

“Dad what?”

“Egg.” he responds quickly, then spins it on his finger.

“Dad, what?” you repeat.

“Learning the Raio-ken means being quick enough to dodge Lightning, or strong enough to survive multiple strikes.” Acer backs up a bit, Monty taking a defensive stance, hand on his sword’s hilt but not drawing it yet. “Last time we tried this you were up to 46. If you want to manage the Raio-ken, though? You’ll need to dodge 100.”

You huff and pout. “Is that where all the eggs have been going?!”

He flinches, almost dropping the egg. “Ah, well-”

“Daaaaad!” you whine. “Mom needs those! They don’t grow on trees!”

“Yes, they’re laid by chickens.” he responds. Monty tries his absolute best not to chuckle at this little quarrel as you grumble about him using up all the chicken eggs for training exercises. When he asks for an alternative though…

A puff and glow of Magic brings out a small, fake egg. “Use these.” A very light, easily breakable plastic yet sturdy enough to withstand being thrown, just not impact anything hard.

Acer brings up his other hand. “Ah, but the reason I’m using eggs is because they leave a very easy way to track damage. Don’t want your clothing getting all eggy and-”

You toss the egg at the ground, with it fracturing and spreading glitter everywhere. Monty finally laughs, but it’s a nervous laugh. You form another. “See?”

The egg that was spinning on his finger drops as he gives you a very disgruntled ‘Why didn’t I think of that?!’ look. Your dad sighs. “Ffffine. Monty, you ready?”

“I’m going to fear glitter more than I fear yolk aren’t I?” Monty asks in a dry but worried tone.

“One hundred eggs!” Dad gets ready. “Gotta do it all in one go! If you can manage this, you can try the Raio-ken!”

And so it begins, you and dad supplying the eggs, Monty doing his absolute best to dodge, whild you cheer him on. To the boy’s credit, he’s actually doing exceptionally well. The first dozen he makes look easy, and the next couple after that he still is able to get through with ease, but slowly his focus starts to waver as more and more glitter builds up further behind him. “Ninety seven!” you call out, still cheering.

“Ninety eight!” dad exclaims. “Ninety nine!”

“ONE HUNDRED!”

The final egg is thrown, aimed right at Monty’s chest, a bit harder this time. Oh dang maybe too hard, crap, crap, hope this doesn’t hurt him. But, Monty manages to actually duck backward and avoid it. He falls on his back, but the egg misses him. He did it!

“I think my life just flashed before my eyes.” Monty declares, panting.

You and dad high-five, cheering him together… and stop suddenly when you both feel someone tug on your ears. “Agh! Ow!” You look up. “…Ah. H-hi mom.”

“I’m very glad the two of you could him train, but I do hope you both plan on cleaning up this mess now that it’s done.” Chi-chi states in annoyance. You and dad look at the area behind Monty. It’s like a rainbow factory exploded. Your shoulders slouch. Welp. At least Monty succeeded. You look over. Monty gives you a thumbs up, and that at least brings a smile to your face.

Perhaps in the future.

And okay, everything is clear for the rest of the day, so we are back!

After cleaning up the glittery mess and maybe, just maybe, gaining a bit of sympathy for those you’ve glitter pranked before (Just a bit. Maybe), you watch as dad gives Monty a few more pointers on dodging, and also Magic. Guess it makes sense. Dad seems to have Monty focus on smaller, step by step goals while training, though with some… curious quirks to it. His lessons on Ki involve a sort of whack-a-mole game, teaching Monty to draw his Ki out quickly. For Magic, it is definitely a bit tougher for him, but dad… somehow tries to connect some of the ideas in it to economics, of all things.

Dad says they’ll try the Sacred Crown in a couple days, now that Monty’s proven he’s ready for it. So, you have time to plan things on your own, if you want. Though it might be beneficial to help Monty directly, you could work on your own Magical skills, or maybe join up with someone to do some training.

>A. Help Monty out, especially with Magic, so he can better understand it and be absolutely ready for the Crown
>B. Focus on Mahou and what you can do with your Magics primarily. Still have plenty of things you want to test out, after all!
>C. Spend some time with Peppa and train with her, can also catch her up on who all is coming along on this mission to Z’S
>D. Check in with 19, see how she’s been doing, maybe could get some new perspectives on your new skills
>E. Aunt Maple could be a great boon in your focus on Magic, should probably spend some time with her
>F. Wouldn’t hurt to have mom help you with training again, right? She’s probably got some ideas on how to help you
>G. Something else?

How's his magic materialization and enchantments?
>D.
>E.
C also works if Peppa is around.
>G. Telekinesis might be useful with these new powers and in other ways too. Ask if we have time to pick that up.
>>
>>4286774
>A, C, E.
How many can we do at once, Kato?

Well, Monty probably needs the most help, so you stick with him and dad for a time in order to help him prepare for the Crown. And while you ARE able to show him more on Magic, him actually learning it is another thing entirely. While it may come naturally to you, it’s quite a bit harder for him to actually pick up and use.

“So the Sacred Crown has an enchantment that draws a form of Lightning to it.” you explain.

“Okay, I get that part.” Monty nods.

“And the enchantment goes something like this…” You materialize a small tiara, enchanting it with a bit of Lightning in the circular gem at the front. You set it down and step back a bit, then let out a weak Phantom Spark above it, the electrical blast drawn right down to the gem.

“I’m still not sure how exactly you do THAT, though.” the boy comments.

“Well, start off with focusing your Ki. How we use this Magic is focused through our abilities with Ki, after all. Dad’s shown you a good amount of it already, yes?” you ask.

Monty taps his chin. “He has, but I haven’t been able to pick up on any of it yet.”

“Well, can you at least feel out how what I did just now was different from a normal Ki attack?”

“Only barely.”

“Try to mimic it, then.” you ask of him.

Monty raises both his hands, charging his own Ki, and… only lets out a normal Ki blast, not one drawn to the tiara you made. Monty sighs, then looks to you with a very “I told you so” expression on his face. Acer, though, is able to lift his spirits. “That you were able to pick up on the difference in the first place is a massive improvement, though.” he praises. “It means you’ll be able to better notice when the crown is about to draw down a bolt of Lightning. Keep at it, and you’ll ace this test in no time.”

Monty smiles and humbly bows his head. “Thank you, Master.”

With this done, you next check in with Maple and Peppa to try and train with them directly. As you do, you notice uncle Goku in the distance with Vegeta’s brother, Tarble. “Huh, they training together?”

“Yep.” Peppa affirms. “Well, more like dad’s training Tarble. He’s made a lot of progress though! He’s getting pretty close on mastering Super Saiyan. Come a loooong way from just barely tapping into it a few months ago.”

Maple looks in their direction with a proud smile on her face. “Goku’s definitely happy about it. Heh, knew he’d be good at it.”

“Cool.” You crack your knuckles. “But we got other things to focus on, don’t we?”

Your aunt and cousin nod, Peppa powering up to Super Saiyan. “Ready when you are, Izzy.”

A quick tune plays as you call out, “Henshin! Yuushaaaa!” Your Mahou form active, you place your hands on your hips. “Ready, Peppa.” The two of you begin to spar, using mostly light attacks to start off with, you mixing in a bit of Magic to keep Peppa on her toes.

As you do, Maple observes you two, making note of a few things. “Your power seems to fluctuate a bit still, Izumi, but there also seems to be a better flow to it. Try a few more Ki attacks, cycle through what Magic you can apply to each.”

You back up, Peppa standing her ground, and one after another shoot out Ki blasts enhanced with Magic. Fire, leading to a true fireball that Peppa punches out of the air with a Wind-boosted punch. Lighting, leading to a numbing blast that she swerves out of the way from. Wind, creating a Ki blast that tries to draw her in, which Peppa actually manages to not only deflect but reflect back at you, leading to you having to dodge yourself as you try the next one. Ice, a frigid Ki blast aimed at her legs that she jumps up to avoid, leaving a chunk of frozen dirt on the ground, Peppa now actually countering with a Rasen Magnum. And with Water, you create a splash of Ki that blocks the attack. Light, and a blindingly bright Ki blast fires at your cousin, though she blocks it easily, then sticks out her tongue, pointing at her goggles. Though while she’s taunting, she just barely is able to notice you added one more blast after it, enhanced with Shadow Magic, that almost, aaaalmost, manages to hit her, Peppa having to use Instant Transmission to avoid, appearing behind you.

“Pretty sneaky, Izzy.” She twirls her body and tries to hit you with a tail strike.

…That you block with a Ki Jan Ken Scissors, enhanced with Shadow as well. “You’re one to talk, cous.” The suddenly heavier tip of her tail almost makes her lose balance, forcing Peppa away.

Maple, having carefully watched the spar, heads in closer. “Izumi, you’ve been been trying to practice some new skills, yes?” You give her a quick nod. “Okay, try one out on Peppa.”

Your cousin takes a defensive stance. New skills, huh? Weeeeell…

You get a gleam in your eyes as you go over the idea in your head, grinning wildly. You bring out your Spirit Bits, but fill them with Shadow Magic to make them some sort of… Gravity Bind Bits, having them at the ready. “Hope you’re ready for this, Peppa.”

Still on the defensive, she waits for your attack. You send the Spirit Bits out, six in total, but they head off in three pairs, closing in together. Once near Peppa, the Spirit Bits tap together for a moment, then circle around and spread out around her, creating magical energy binds between the pairs. You pin her arms to her chest and lock her legs to the ground before she has a chance to escape from it. Peppa stands there, surprised, struggling to get out of it. To your surprise though, she actually chuckles. “Hey, Keli was thinking about something similar. Not exactly what she was going for, but still, neat.”

“You’re acting pretty calm for someone who fell for such a trick.” you remark. “How’re you gonna get out of this one?”

Peppa smirks, then closes her eyes and focuses. Her aura grows stronger as her hair spikes up further. She’ll brute force her way out of it? No, she’s planning something. You feel her grow stronger and stronger… even stronger than you were expecting. Barrier up, barrier up! …Actually, best to test this too. Try to enhance the Hero’s Barrier even further than before with Magic! You bring it up just in time, with it shining vibrantly as… Peppa disappears.

“HRRAAAAAHHH!” You hear her call out from right above you, teleporting again, using the very restraints you placed on her to power up a double dropkick that crashes down into your barrier. A shockwave erupts from the point of contact, and Peppa almost gets through, though your quick thinking gives the barrier enough juice to knock her away… at the cost of making you lose focus on the Spirit Bits’ enchantment and control, letting her break the restraints with ease. Peppa’s strength normalizes again as she exhales, taking another defensive stance. “Not bad, Izzy! That’s something I should really prepare for in the future.”

“Tch, look who’s talking! You’re kinda nuts, cous, using my own technique against me like that.” You keep the barrier up, watching her next move.

Peppa readies a more offense-oriented stance, then brings her hands back. “Let’s test how well that barrier of yours holds up… Kamehameha!” She quick-fires a beam that heads right towards you.

You attempt to reflect this attack back at Peppa, while also sending out your Spirit Bits again to bind her arms again. And… the attack crashes into the barrier, not reflecting back. Damn! Timed it wrong! Well, can try this then! As the attack starts to push you back, your Spirit Bits successfully get to her wrists, and then yank them down downward right as it finally breaks your barrier. She isn’t expecting that! And while not completely reflecting the technique, you do manage to redirect the Kamehameha back at her!

“Whuh-oh!” Peppa declares as the beam heads right back at her. Your other Spirit Bits try to form an Amplify gate, but you time that wrong too, as the Kamehameha blasts through a couple and hits Peppa square on! …And you feel her strength surge up again for a brief moment right as it connects. Peppa breaks the binds and the smoke clears, showing she’s plenty fine. Her strength normalizes again.

“Okay, what the heck is that?” you demand. “You’ve got some trick up your sleeve, what are you doing, Peppa?”

She grins. “Let’s just say I’ve found a way to break the limits of Super Saiyan 2. Without growing my hair out as long as uncle Raditz’s, that is.”

Cuuuurious. With that, Maple finally steps in again. “So, Izzy, do you want to try a few more techniques out? Or are you ready to give your armored form a go?”

You look over to your aunt. “Hmm… actually, I’ve got another idea. Aunt Maple, I want to try the Raio-ken with this, and then maybe the Kaio-ken. Give it a proper shot this time.” You back away, letting your barrier drop to make sure you can focus on this right. Your emerald green aura surges around you, and sparks to build up around your body. Balance it. Keep a good flow with your techniques. The Raio-ken has a Magical element to it, of sorts, so… here it goes… “RAIO-KEN!” And… your aura surges higher as you start to maintain it. Your armor even glows slightly! Yes! YES! You did it! You dash upward, rocketing from the ground, and flying right past Peppa. In fact, you move even more quickly than you intended to.

“H-hey! Izzy w-” And you’re out of earshot as you fly off even higher. This… this is amazing! You’re even FASTER than you were before with it! After ending up several dozen kilometers away and half a dozen kilometers high in the air, you stop yourself, turning back to where Peppa and Maple were. Peppa teleports near you. “And just where do you think you’re going?”

“Testing this out!” you tell her excitedly. You look over yourself. Your aura’s still surging and sparking, and your armor is definitely giving off a glow. “This is amazing! Hah, I had no idea I could manages these two techniques like this!” You give your cousin a wide smile… that turns to a confident smirk. “Betcha I can beat you in a race back.”

Peppa narrows her eyes at you. “Okay now you’re just doing this to show-”

“What, afraid I can beat ya? Come on Champ, you really gonna turn down a challenge?” you question teasingly. Peppa taps her forehead with two fingers. “And no teleporting! Use your speed only!”

Rolling her eyes, she floats next to you. “On three. One… two…”

“THREE!” And you rocket off again at top speed. Peppa, even seeing it before, still isn’t prepared for the intense acceleration you’re capable of, and even as she tries to catch up by powering up again, your raw speed is just enough to outpace even her. You reach the ground mere moments after you made your challenge, though hitting it hard enough that you cause a small crater, though you leap out of it and strike a heroic pose, right as Peppa catches up.

Maple nods and claps approvingly and appreciatively. “Good form, good form, Izzy. Sealed it with that flashy little end there.”

Your cousin grumbles. “Dang it. Okay, next time I’ll be ready for it.”

You smirk, then power down. “Okay, Kaio-ken next.” Here goes. Kaio-ken. You try to tap into that tranquil surge of power. Gotta… gotta… ngh… come on… Your body starts to twitch as you attempt to power up. Come on… come oooonnnn… grh…

“Izumi, hold it.” Maple tells you. “You’re putting too much strain on your body, I could sense it. Seems like this form’s not really… synchronized with that kind of power, like it is the Raio-ken. At least, not yet. If you try to stress it, you’ll end up hurting yourself.”

You sigh, but nod. “Fair. Then, last thing I want to try…” You bring out the Magic Crystal from the ruins, affixing it to your armor. “I’m going to give this one more go. I need to make sure I can actually use this when called upon.”

“One moment.” Maple heads over to you, muttering a phrase and holding her hand out. You feel the Stamina you used up already return. “Okay, there you go.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSUn1Nbbgns

All right. The courage, the power, the wisdom the Knights said you needed to maintain this. Focus, Izzy, and let your Magic flow through this. Now… let’s do this! The Crystal shines and intensifies your emerald aura, and around you forms the Armor in a green swirl of power. The chitinous, stone-like, brilliant Armor from before. You… you did it! Haha, you did it! You move the mech’s limbs, set against the back of the body cavity, gazing over the area. You smirk confidently. “Wanna try your luck against this, Peppa?”

Pardon me, and greetings to you on this fine day, but might I enquire as to the matter of the hypothetical situation wherein one of the beTailed space aliens known as the Saiyans were to one day imbibe Animorphaline, would their new animalistic features change the features of their Great Ape transformation into those of another animal?
>>
>>4288549
It's a human drug, so it wouldn't work on space aliens who are obviously biologically unlike humans in every way.

Your stance ready, you maneuver the armor and charge towards Peppa, moving quite a bit faster than she was expecting. It’s certainly… different, moving the mech around like this. But you quickly start to get the hang of it, Peppa trying to strike first by leaping up and kicking towards you, only for you to block and deflect her away, following up with a palm strike that sends her back.

As you try to follow up, though, Peppa manages to regain her footing and stops a punch you aim at her. She even manages to push you back, trying to go on the offensive, taking this more seriously now, using her smaller size to try to keep the pressure on you. And while you can keep her from doing any real damage, you realize very, very quickly that a form like this is VERY bulky. Not slow, no, but it takes a good deal more effort to maneuver it around. You can keep even with your cousin for a time, but you realize you’re going to have to practice quite a bit more with this to really be sure you know how to use it.

“If that’s how you’re gonna be…!” You dash backward and try to form your Spirit Bits through the mech, and… while they form, you have trouble focusing on both them and keeping the magic necessary to maintain this form. As you try to direct them, they’re slow, meandering, and sluggish. You do notice that they’re larger than normal, at least, but Peppa’s smaller frame and better maneuverability allow her to easily swerve around them. And right as you think you’ve cornered her, about to fire a volley from all of them… Peppa smirks, then forms a Ki drill and dashes at you. You bring up the armor’s arms to defend, firing away, but Peppa actually ducks down at the last moment, getting under the mech’s legs. Your Spirit Bits end up firing on you, AND Peppa’s Ki drill digs underneath the feet, causing you to lose your balance. She then grabs the mech’s jointed ponytail and yanks hard, flipping you over and landing you facedown in the dirt.

“Nice try, Izzy, but you’ve still got a ways to go.” Peppa comments, floating back with her arms crossed.

>A. Stick to the basics, make sure you’ve got them down. You’ll clearly need more practice with them

Why do you ask?

>>4288628
You push yourself up and stand once more, dusting off the armor. “I’m only getting started, cous!” Okay, stick to the basics, Izzy. Make this armor move like it’s your own body. You step back, letting Peppa get a chance to apply pressure again, but you closely follow her movements. Right hook. Left hook. High kick. Low kick. Knee strike. Palm strike. You do everything you can to parry her attacks and try to get the hang of moving in this better. While it IS definitely bulkier, it’s not exactly heavy for its size. Peppa’s got better maneuverability, yes, but even with the power she’s putting out, you’re able to take the hits you don’t successfully parry.

And so, you start to fight more evenly with her, countering her attacks rather than just parrying her. And another advantage, you are certainly bigger now, so as you get used to moving this form around, you get closer to being able to actually deal some damage. Peppa blocks a chop aimed at her and manages to lift you up again, tossing you into the air. Swirling Wind Magic builds up around her fist as she chases after you. “RASENKEN!” your cousin yells out. But, you stop yourself in midair and then... you can feel the Magic she’s using. Your emerald aura around the mech glows brighter, and you place a hand forward, successfully stopping her attack. “…Ah. That’s new.”

You chuckle to yourself, grabbing her arm and then swinging her around, flinging her to the ground and jetting after her. You emphasize this by kicking towards her, connecting and making Peppa strike the ground like a meteor. You stand over her, mech’s arms crossed. “Told you, Peppa. I was only getting started.”

She sits up, rubbing her head. “Dang, that coulda’ hurt if I wasn’t ready for it.” She then flinches slightly as she stands. “Ow.”

“Okay, girls, I think it’s time to call it here.” Maple suggests, flying over again. “Looks like you’re starting to get the hang of it, Izumi. Might be able to try one more thing, but that’ll be it.”

“Aww, you sure?” you question.

“You’re getting the hang of it, but the longer you’re like this the quicker you’ll end up draining your stamina reserves.” She places her hands behind her back, smiling. “Plus, Chi-chi said it’s fine if you want to stay for dinner.”

“Oh! Food!” Peppa bounces on her heels, but flinches again. “Grh. Okay maybe I did hurt something…”

>A. Actually, could I try to heal you, cous? I need practice with that too

“Actually, let me try something, while I’ve still got this power active.” You kneel the mech down, holding your hands towards Peppa. “Where’s it hurt exactly?”

“Eh? Er…” She tries to move her limbs, then flinches when she moves her left leg. “Ow.”

“Okay, stand still. I’m gonna try to heal ya.” you tell your cousin.

Maple gives you a smile and nod. “I can give some pointers if you need.”

“I did some research before with mom, but this’ll be the first real test.” You focus your Ki towards the mech’s palms, trying to manage Light Magic with it to make this quicker, but also drawing on some ideas with Water Magic you’ve read about. You send her a quick pulse of energy… and her injury heals up instantly. Success! You’ve definitely managed Healing now!

“Thanks cous.” Peppa says as she powers down.

“Sweet! …Aaaactually one more thing.” You stand the armor up, holding your left hand out and pointing off in the distance. Let’s see… ah, there’s a good boulder you can hit. You have the mech snap its fingers, and a blast of flame ignites around the boulder, bright blue fire engulfing it. Aha! Sweet! So you can manage more regular Magics with it. Hey, while you’re at it… “Ooooh, maybe I can try the Raio-ken with-!”

“Hold it, Izzy.” Maple warns. “You’re almost out of juice. If you try something like that right now, you’ll end up hurting yourself.”

The mech’s shoulders slouch. “Aww… okay.” Actually you should try to power down properly. You take in a deep breath, then let the power you’re putting out calm as you exhale. The Armor around fades into a ghostly, wispy image that gets drawn to the crystal, which you then remove and return to your base form. You look yourself over, a strange, almost numb feeling coursing through your body for a moment. “Hooh. Now that that’s settled, I’d be happy to stay for dinner, aunt Maple.”

She smiles wide. “Great! Grub should be ready in just a little while!”

As you finally get a chance to sit down, you realize that you’re not the only guest over tonight. Seems that Tarble’s getting a meal too, and apparently even his wife, Gure, is there too. Seems she was helping Maple cook the dinner, with Groucho, the Son family tiger, even giving some aid. As the table is filled with plates, you take notice that… well, uncle Goku is still uncle Goku, but even though Tarble seems much more reserved and polite, he’s packing in as much food as Goku. Still, their conversation seems very friendly, as Goku gets through a turkey drumstick. “Ahh! You’ve been doing great, Tarble. Heh, not even I could get as far as you have when I started off with Super Saiyan. Heh, and I was the first one! …I think.” He looks over to Maple. “We ever check on if Broly transformed before I did?”

“Doesn’t really matter that much, monkey boy.” Maple says with a shrug.

“Thank you, sir. I guess it helps to have something to measure against, and something that I need to protect.” Tarble tells Goku with a humble smile… and then starts scarfing down again.

You notice that Peppa, while not eating as quickly as either of the guys, is still on her third bowl of pork and rice. And… you find that you are as well. That training took a lot out of you.

“So Peppa, is there anything that you want to look into once we’re on planet Z’S?” you question your cousin. “Dad and Monty are coming with, after all, but you did agree to come along. Are you planning on seeking out something there? Any prep we should do?”

“I mean, Vegeta and Nappa trained there for a while, so it’ll be good for my training, but specifically I’ve been looking into if there are areas of higher or lower gravity on the planet.” she replies. “According to uncle Raditz, the Galactic Patrol’s survey teams may have found areas of more normal gravity… but even higher gravity too. Small ones compared to the rest of the planet, about the size of a city block or two, but they haven’t been able to reach those areas directly, at least not yet. Those even higher gravity areas might have some things hidden inside them.” Peppa then stops eating for a moment, looking down with a shy smile. “…And, maybe, if it’s okay with the Patrol, I could get a gift for Cocoa.”

You grin. “Going to another planet just to get your girlfriend a gift? Sheesh, can you be any more corny?”

“Oi. Shush.” she grumbles. “Anyway, for prep, we should make sure we can get to those low-gravity areas quickly if you’re bringing Monty along, in case anything comes up.”

You raise an eyebrow. “Would anything come up?”

“I’m a little familiar with Z’S.” Tarble speaks up. “It does have the occasional incident with bandits or thieves trying to to make off with artifacts that have been recovered from the planet. I doubt it’s anything any of you would have trouble with, though, given the Galactic Patrol tend to be able to handle them.”

“Huh. Okay, will keep that in mind then.” You finish up another bowl. “Say, Mr. Tarble, uncle Goku, what goal are you two working towards, anyway? Ooh, ooh, is it something like Fusion?”

“As I said before, I want to keep my world safe. To do that, I would like to master Super Saiyan, and if need be perhaps reach a form beyond it.” Tarble explains. “I don’t… really think I could ever end up matching my brother, but at the very least I’d like to show him I’m capable of protecting my world.”

“Hey, who knows, maybe one day you will surpass him.” Goku states encouragingly. “And eh, as for me, I’m just glad I’ve got something new I can work with! It’s given me all sorts of ideas for my own training. Plus, well… I feel like I really do need to improve more.” He gives Maple a quick glance, and she seems to ask him something telepathically, to which Goku quickly nods.

“In any case, it’s certainly lit a fire under him.” Maple comments.

“How about you, Aunt Maple? What’re you doing these days?”

She smiles. “Bulma and I have basically completed our trial runs with Ki Containers. In fact…” She brings out a Capsule and tosses it to you. “Keep that handy. It’ll give you a quick recharge in time of need. Not quite as regenerative as a Senzu, but enough to refuel some Ki reserves.”

“That’s not all you’ve been working on though, right mom?” Peppa asks, already knowing the answer.

She grins. “Weeeeeeell… there’s a book I’ve started on, but brobro and I are gonna keep mum on that for a while. When it’s ready though, I bet it’ll be as big a change as the Ki Containers, if not moreso.”

All right folks, that's all for this tonight. We’ll be continuing tomorrow, starting ~3:30 pm PST. I’ll be around for a bit for questions and stuff. Did y’all have fun? Hope everyone’s staying safe out there.
>>

Kinda bugs me when I ask something and you don't answer or have me qualify it or get cute with it instead of answering frankly. Other than that, today was good, nice to see Izumi spar with Peppa on even terms, as even as a spar between a 30 foot tall mecha and a 3 foot tall girl can get.

How does Peppa find planets? I don't know where Mars is right now, or even the Moon unless I go out and look.
>>
>>4289295
As Hit a guy with another guy said in >>4289268, she just needs a galactic patrol member she knows to be on the planet and she can lock on to them
>>
>>4289420
Is Raditz on Z'S? Jaco or Jiya, if Peppa has met those two? It's a big galaxy to patrol, and that's only 3 of the patrol's members.
>>
>>4289593
Sorry for the biting nature of this line of questioning, I shouldn't be so condescending about it.

I'm really confused as to how Peppa is able to IT through space and to a planet she's only heard about with no one she knows on it, but I can accept that it's just a thing Peppa can do if the rules of Instant Transmission aren't that concrete.

Knowing the location of a world and any significant or familiar Ki signatures on it can give someone something to lock onto, even across the vast distances of space. You have sensing in the direction of it, though, hence why knowing where a planet may be in relation to where one is currently is important. It's why Goku had to ask King Kai for directions to New Namek, for example.

Anyway, sorry for the delay, we're back!

You decide to check in with mom, prioritizing your time with her while dad and Monty keep up their own training. You explain to her first how you’ve successfully managed to use Ki-based healing, with Chi-chi smiling with pride upon hearing that, but also the kind of drain you face while using your Mahou forms. “So, what do you think I should work on to get better at it? I’ve been able to keep it up when needed, but it’s still pretty draining. And the Knight form is even more draining.” You hold out the Capsule Maple gave you. “This might be one way to mitigate some of it, but it’s still relatively untested in combat or other intense situations.”

Chi-chi nods, considering what you’ve brought up. “Maybe you should spend some time in higher gravity as well, testing your endurance there so you’ll be more used to it. That said though, I do have ways to help you recover your stamina, but it’s not something you can pick up immediately.”

“The Noble Eightfold Path?” you question, and mom nods. “Hmm, yeah, not exactly something I can pick up in a way…”

Though… maybe it’s not picking up it specifically that you should focus on. But first, “Mom, what’ve you been working on recently?”

“I’ve finished up the last steps along the Noble Eightfold Path, for the most part. I’ve been talking with Trip on making sure I’ve got everything down.” She smiles kindly. “It’s been quite a big help.”

“Then, could you demonstrate a few of those abilities for me? While I’m not gonna try and start and learn it myself immediately, but I’d like to study how they work, if it’s okay with you.”

Chi-chi nods. “I could do that.” The two of you head outside, getting to a clearing. Chi-chi calms her breathing and focuses. “The Noble Eightfold Path operates by reflecting on steps you have taken, inner truths and ways of living to make one’s self live ‘rightly,’ in a sense. View, resolve, speech, action, there are many steps to take and each one requires a good deal of effort in both obtaining and maintaining. But in return, there are boons granted for these. It takes a declaration and focus to truly bring them out.” Mom places her hands together. “Samma Sankappa.” she declares, and… you can feel something about her become more rigid, or perhaps denser, better protected. And just as quickly as this came, it leaves, mom relaxing.

“So there are definitely effects they have that are very, very tangible.” you comment on.

“For you, to deal with the stamina issues, I’d be using two techniques to help. To restore your stamina, I’d use Samma Kammanta, Right Action, to restore what you’ve drained. It’s a brief but importantly quick recovery. Meanwhile, the Samma Vayama would allow me to nullify the costs such a form would demand of you, allowing you to use it for as long as I am able to have that declaration in focus.”

“And you can use those like you just used the Samma Sankappa, right?” you ask.

“Correct, though not all at once. And it would be difficult to have the Samma Vayama up while also maintaining an intensive form and fighting for prolonged periods.”

The gears in your head start turning. “Then can you show me, directly?” After mom nods, you transform. “Henshin! YUUSHA!” The Magical armored outfit appears around you and you strike a pose.

Mom nods, then calls out “Samma Vayama.” And… you suddenly feel a bit lighter, and not under as much energy demand to maintain this form. But more importantly you focus on the effect and the feeling of it, both around you and around mom. You then tell her to stop and wait a moment as you try a more intensive technique to drain yourself just a bit, and recalling how to keep a good flow with your Magic, you fire off the Burst Stream up towards the sky. With that done, you have mom try the other skill, and with a declaration of “Samma Kammanta” you feel some of your power restored, and maintained for a bit longer. And most importantly, you focus on the feeling around her and yourself.

And you grin. “I think I’ve got it now. Mom… use the Kaio-ken.” you ask, confusing her.

“Eh? O…kay. Kaio-ken.” Her red aura flares up around her.

So, it did feel closest to Light Magic, you’ll start from there. For you, it’d be something like sharing Ki, but very directed and specified. The difference of just putting aloe vera on a burn and sealing up a wound, you have to know the specifics of it. Thankfully, you’ve got a very clear understanding now. It does take a bit, but eventually… “Aha! Mom, stand still.” You get a bit closer and let out a pulse of power… that recovers her stamina successfully. “Yyyyes! Did it! Haha! I did it! Made my own new Magic!” you cheer, jumping up and down with joy. “Who rocks? Izzy rocks! Oh yeah~!”

Mom just stares there, dumbfounded, finally powering down. “…I uh, didn’t quite expect that. Well, good job, Izzy.”

You grin wide at her, flashing a victory sign. “Thanks for the help, mom! Really let me see how this works. Hmm… might need to be in this form to be able to use it correctly, for now, but still, looks like it’s worked out well for now.”

She approaches and pats you on the head. “Well, you certainly do take after your father. Really putting that mind of yours to good use.”

“Well, not completely. Not gonna start using eggs to help Monty train, for example.” you remark.

Mom’s smile becomes a bit more forced as she looks back. “Yes. Good that you don’t.” She then glances towards you. “Just make sure you also don’t leave glitter everywhere too.”

“Aheh heh heh, y-yeah.” you laugh out nervously.

Well, with that done, you manage to get in some training under higher gravity over at Capsule Corp, even taking it up to 500x Earth’s gravity to try and get used to high-G environments. You quickly come to realize how intense such a thing actually is… and it is most definitely intense, though something you can certainly handle. Pantea actually spends some time with you in there, and actually barely seems to be strained by it at all.

“So this form is definitely able to handle it.” she comments as she observes your Mahou form under the intense red light of the gravity. “Do you want to take it up to the max?”

“I’ll test my newest trick as you let it go full blast. Wait for my signal.” You get to the center of the Gravity Chamber and bring out the crystal, placing it on your armor. Magic flows out from it and forms into the mech once more. You land, the already intense gravity of the room making it a good deal more awkward to move the mech’s limbs. But you’re ready to try it anyway. “Do it.”

Pantea, after letting out an excited little laugh after witnessing your new form, recollects herself and reaches the controls and increases the gravity even higher. The air itself feels like it is doing everything it can to crush the mech… but you realize that you’re not feeling as dramatic an increase as you thought you would. In fact, the mech is holding up surprisingly well. “Izzy? You okay in there?”

You start to move the limbs of the Magical Armor around slowly. “I’m… surprisingly fine in it, to be honest.” You look down at her, and notice that she’s actually STILL holding up pretty well. “Speaking of, you’re taking this a lot better than I figured you’d be. How high up is the gravity right now?”

“Full 800x Earth’s gravity.” she states, then smirks. “Guess this is a bit of a test for the both of us. Gonna thank Gohan again when Videl and I go to see that Tournament he’s in.”

“Dang. You don’t look like you’ve transformed though.” you comment, noticing that her Ki has merely risen… quite a lot, actually. But there’s no strain you can sense, it’s not like she’s transformed somehow. The heck?

“Try moving around a bit more, Izzy.” Pantea directs, making sure she’s out of your way.

As you walk around, you do find that while it can hold itself well enough, it is quite a bit harder to make its walk and run. In fact you’re having to be extra careful as you step around with it, as you can feel the floor beneath you strain under the mech’s weight. Still, you manage it well, getting used to operating the mech under such high gravity. “Say, Pantea… you, uh, still up for getting through a few more seasons of that show? Y’ know, if we can find the time.”

She beams with enthusiasm. “I was hoping you’d ask! Yes, certainly!”

“Great! But on one condition.” you have the Magic Armor raise a finger upward, waving it in the air. “Next time, we should get… no, NEED to get thematically appropriate snacks. That good?”

She laughs. “Definitely! That’s a promise.”

All right folks, that's all for this tonight. We’ll be continuing tomorrow, starting ~3:30 pm PST. I’ll be around for a bit for questions and stuff. Did y’all have fun? Hope everyone’s staying safe out there.

Also, one more night with Izzy, or switch over to Peppa or Gohan?
>>
>>4291354
I think this is a good spot to leave Izzy, probably want to go to Gohan. We can switch to Peppa after her brother comes home.
>>
>>4291354
It was nice seeing Izzy interact with her Mom even though Izzy has issues regarding how her Mom views her and how she views her mom that never seem to get addressed or brought up. Can we dial up the angst on Izzy a smidge?

Ooh, and can we watch Dai Mahou Touge? https://youtu.be/sU_EA6V2Kes
>>
>>4291363
>We can switch to Peppa after her brother comes home.
When's that? I don't know when you're referring to.
>>
>>4291225
That's a nice picture, where'd you find it?
>>
>>4291354
Fun was had, Kato, thanks for running. I'm good for more Izzy, to be honest.
>>
>>4291365
Then again, I could view it as Izumi choosing to correct her view on Chi-Chi that stumped her in the black mist for so long. Really drawing on her courage to ask her mother what she's up to and living with her the way she wants to instead of letting her bad feelings bottle up or trying to make big shows of fervor.
>>
>>4291388
But also, Izumi does have anxiety over having to mature into the Perfect Picture of a Proper Princess for her kingdom, with Chi-Chi cracking the whip a bit less literally here on her daughter to get her studies done, and shoving her into advanced classes even though School by design is meant to separate the wheat from the chaff by having all the kids mix together and determine winners and losers. No grade is organized by "The Smart Class" and "The Dumb Class" when they're given the same amount of work, each class has the same level of smart and dumb students so that the smart students will be able to taste victory, which is an important part of the scholastic process. Once they get a taste of how sweet victory is, the winners will want to keep achieving victory, while the losers will also become envious of the winners and seek to improve themselves so they don't have to taste a bitter defeat again. This wouldn't work if you put the smart kids in the smart class, just like that episode of The Simpsons where Lisa advances a grade and starts falling behind from being not as prepared as her peers for the curriculum. So by throwing their daughter from the frying pan and into the fire by forcing her to mature earlier and say that normal life is holding her back, Acer and Chi-Chi are actually hindering her development.

But I dunno, another issue with an MC pointed out in a holiday special. I wonder if the Easter special will deal with Peppa's gambling problem?

And I wonder if my niece should be home schooled instead?

You block a chop from Yazai in his Super Saiyan state, and then counter by swerving around him and letting Olibu’s incoming kick, aimed at your back, land on Yazai’s stomach. You back away, grinning as the two of them take the hit and grumble at each other, then try to chase you down. Yazai’s aura flows strongly around his fists, and then he punches towards you with it, causing you to dodge back. Olibu meanwhile attempts to duck under Yazai and launch a sphere of Ki up at you. You catch the attack and deflect it towards Yazai’s aura punches, the two colliding and causing a brief explosion. You then fly through it as it clears and manage to grab the both of them by their legs, swinging them around and finally flinging them to the ground.

https://youtu.be/y8IwuHd4OpA

As the pair land, King Kai claps. “Nicely done, Gohan!” He grins up at you. “Haha, you’re definitely ready for the Tournament.”

Olibu gets up, then helps Yazai stand, the Saiyan giving a nod. “Heh, you’re definitely something else, kid.”

You can sense that the other groups of fighters across the planet are training two, and that Tapion and Minotia have finally arrived and been introduced to their Kai, the South Kai, and have spend a bit of time with Torbie, apparently sharing some stories together. A ways away, you also sense another fighter stand out quite a bit: Pikkon. You haven’t talked with him too much, but you can tell he’s been training even harder since you first arrived. Someone you should keep an eye on during the tournament. You’ve also picked up on a couple of East Kai’s fighters doing some interesting bits of training, too. Apparently they’re actually more Magic-focused than the others, which is pretty interesting.

“So, you seem pretty prepared, Gohan. Anything else you’ve been wanting to do, before the Tournament begins?” King Kai questions.

>A. I wanna ask Yazai more about this aura manipulation he’s been practicing, actually
>B. Gonna chat a bit with Olibu, actually, hear more about what his time on Earth
>C. I’d like to check in on Tapion and Minotia, if that’s okay with you, sir
>D. Maybe I could get a moment to chat with Pikkon, if you’d allow it
>E. Would you mind me observing some of the stuff East Kai’s fighters have been doing? If she doesn’t mind too, that is
>F. Actually, I’d like to check up on grandpa Bardock and grandma Gine down in Hell, since I have the time
>G. Something else?

“I’ve got more I’d like to ask Yazai and Olibu about, actually.” you reply, giving a quick bow.

“Heh! Of course. You all have earned a break.” King Kai turns back to the other fighters from his quadrant. “So, that get your blood pumping, folks?! Come on, we’re gonna start training double time!”

“Yeah!” they cheer out, heading off with him.

You meanwhile walk towards the two fighters you were sparring with. “Mr. Yazai, you’ve been working on that aura manipulation for quite a while now. Mind if I ask you some more on it?”

“Go ahead, kid.” he replies.

You start to walk with him an Olibu, off to get some grub. “You’ve been using it a bit like an extension of your own physical abilities, at least as far as I’ve seen. Is there anything else you’ve been trying to do with it?”

“Working with it as an extra form of offense is merely the first step. I plan on it being capable of enhancing my defensive abilities and reaction times as well. A way to enhance my overall skills while taking advantage of what my body produces naturally, making the most of my abilities.” he explains.

“Most curious. From the sound of things, you almost make it seem like you’d have two of yourself fighting at the same time.” Olibu notes.

“In a way, though without dividing my power between the pair like I’ve seen other fighters do.” he responds.

“And it’s something the Saiyans of the past that still linger in the afterlife have shown you, yeah? Did any of the previous Legendary Super Saiyans have such an ability?” you question next.

“The most ancient of Saiyans have shown skills like it, though any previous Super Saiyans haven’t developed it quite to the level I want to. Mostly just sorts of… phantom limbs. There’s one that was rumored to have ‘regrown’ his tail using such a technique.” Yazai explains. “I’d want something even better, though. Fully developing this ability and making the best use of my aura as I can.”

“Wait, a previous Super Saiyan could… heal himself with this?” you question.

He shakes his head. “Not quite. More like, force out a phantom limb with it. Not sure if he could become an Oozaru using that phantom limb, but would be something to look into.”

“Huh. Neat. And how about you, Olibu? You gonna work towards something like that?”

“Hah, no no, I have my own plans on how I will get stronger.” he responds.

Hmm, also interesting. “Say, I’ve been wondering, actually, you’re the one who helped seal away Majin Ozotto, right? With some help?”

“Indeed! A sorceress of sorts, an old comrade of mine, and myself were granted a boon from a being from the heavens to allow us a way to banish and seal the Super Monster.” he recalls, smiling.

“Sorceress, huh? How’d you do it.”

He lets out a slightly nervous laugh. “We… sort of had to trick him. My own strength was nowhere near the Majin’s at the time, so we had to rely on our cunning. I made great boasts of my strength, and the demon boasted in kind. And so, we made tests to measure our boasts. He displayed powers near beyond my understanding, strength near beyond measure, and great feats of speed and agility beyond that of any mortal. My ally and I finally managed to spring our trap, sealing the Super Monster away and casting him from the Earth.”

“Could you tell me more about that ally of yours?” you ask. “I know a bit about Magic myself, and am always willing to try to learn more. Maybe something she had could help me in my own training.”

“Haha, certainly, my boy!” Olibu responds cheerfully. “Her name was Elevia, and possessed a talent for Magical powers at a young age. She was a traveler of sorts, always on the move, trying to find new abilities and skills. Even… if it meant getting into certain kinds of trouble.” He hangs his head, sighing and smiling. “She made a… number of enemies. And was banned from several towns, cities, and even a whole mountain.”

Ah, so a bit of a trouble ma- wait what? “…Mountain?”

“Oh yes. She even got in an argument with it. Which led to it blasting a blizzard at her.” Olibu shakes his head. “She only made it worse when she said she’d make an even better blizzard.”

“So she was more adept in Magic as an offensive ability?” you question, wondering in the back of your head why that sounds familiar.

“She was more rounded, I would say. She would pick up basically every magical trick she could think of, from minor tricks and illusions to powerful spells of sealing and destruction.”

“This is definitely sounding interesting.” you remark. “Were you ever able to reconnect with her up here? My cousin Izzy would probably really like to hear about her, or even meet her if possible.”

He shakes his head. “Sadly no. A shame, but in all this time I’ve been up here I have not once seen her. By this point she has probably reincarnated, if I were to guess.”

Your shoulders slouch. “That’s a shame. Is there anything you can remember from her skills, though? And anything you might be working towards?”

“A few things, actually! Hah, one thing we used to do while we were still alive was have her cast this sort of Lightning spell that formed electric spears that I could hurl at my foes. She also helped me enchant an old hammer I used to have with similar powers.” Olibu says nostalgically. “I have made effort to try and learn that skill for myself. Though I must say, it has proven far more difficult than I expected.” He taps his chin. “Actually… I may have something you’d be interested in, Gohan.”

“Oh?” Your face lights up.

“I recall that she would set up certain traps of sorts for our foes when we were traveling together, to stop certain nasty tricks they would try to pull. Hmm… perhaps you could try looking into that.”

“I just might! Thank you, Olibu. Say, would you like some help with that Lightning Spear skill you’re working on? Like I’ve said, I’m pretty good with Magic myself.”

He gives an approving pump of his fist into the air. “That sounds like a great idea! After we get a good meal in, let us work together for this new goal.”

And the two of you get right on that, you attempting a few ideas on setting traps with Magic… that don’t quite work out. You know how Peppa sets Ki mines, but trying to apply Magic to them and having them as proper traps, hidden and waiting for a foe to fall for them, proves quite a bit more difficult to actually put into practice. Even with Olibu explaining what he recalls of them from his time alive, you’re just not quite there yet. Ah well, always another time.

https://youtu.be/UzKVPNawsG4

Olibu’s Lightning Spear idea though bears more fruit. After catching him up to speed on how you manage your Magic, he starts to understand how his ally preformed the technique when she was alive. Apparently, she’d build up Magic in her palms, then close them almost completely, and then press the sides of her fists together. The Lightning Magic would then be channeled and formed into a linear shape, an electric spear of sorts. The tricky part was that she made it in such a way that it could be handed to another person, yet thrown and impact with full force. Might take a bit to manage that completely, but at the very least, Olibu is able to manage the base of the technique. And you even pick up on the idea too!

Olibu’s hands spark with power as he readies it, fists together, then pulled apart, creating the lightning bolt spear. He holds it up high. The nostalgic, confident smile on his face brings a grin to your own. Olibu jumps into the air, then yells out, in an uproarious tone you know he’s been waiting literal millennia to declare, “BRONTE BREAK!” He tosses the spear into the air, and after a short while it explodes with a loud crack of thunder, a lightshow visible for a good distance across Grand Kai’s planet filling up the sky.

You give the ancient hero of Earth a thumb’s up, and he returns the favor. He’ll be able to put that to good use in the Tournament, you just know it!

Hold on, hold on, hold on, I have a better idea. If Gohan can pull off that phantom limb thing that Yazai described, can he do the Bronte Break, but multiple times at once to where he would have a bunch of smaller Astrape Arrows he could have floating around like the, uh, Power Blaster or whatever it Pandel called it?

The final hours before the Tournament begins are here. You’re plenty refreshed and prepared. Pantea and Videl should be arriving shortly too, as spectators (definitely should thank Grand Kai for allowing that). Probably last chance you’ll get to have a good chat with anyone. Should you? Or should you start heading in with your fellow fighters?

>A. Head on in with everyone, you shouldn’t delay
>B. See if you can get a quick chat in with Tapion and Minotia
>C. Wouldn’t hurt to check up on Pantea and Videl, no?
>D. Maybe you could let grandpa Bardock and grandma Gine know how you’re doing

Well, you figure it’d be nice to check up on your grandparents, wouldn’t it? You let King Kai know you’d like to contact Bardock and Gine in Hell, and he’s actually quite fine with that, even giving you a hand in getting in touch with them. “Hey, grandpa, grandma, can you hear me?”

‘Eh? Ah, Gohan!’ Bardock answers first. ‘What’s up, kid? You finally gonna start up that Tournament?’

“Yep! How are you and grandma doing? Any progress on what I showed you last time we met?”

He gives you a proud laugh. ‘Hah! Definitely! More than even I foresaw, for me at least. Gine has made some progress too.’

‘Have you been doing well, Gohan?’ Gine asks you kindly.

“Yep! Spent time training under a couple different Kais, and managed to go beyond my normal limits.” you inform them. “What’s going on down in Hell, anyway?”

‘Managed to find the soul of Baby, who’s… well, let’s say been stewing in his own misery.’ Bardock replies. ‘Been telling the ogres to keep an eye on him, he’s a crafty bastard. Also been-’ He gets quiet for a moment.

‘...Bardock?’ Gine asks with concern.

‘Hrmn. Should be nothing.’ he says dismissively. ‘Going to keep an eye out just in case, though.’

>A. Did you have a flash of foresight, grandpa? Can you tell me about it?

“Heh, so if Baby’s there, is he stuck as a puddle or something?” you question.

‘Not exactly. Don’t think he quite has all his abilities in the body he was given. More this short, Tuffle-esque form.’ Bardock answers. ‘Don’t think King Yemma would like him going around Hell trying to rebuild an army, after all.’

“Yeah that makes sense.” King Kai butts in. “Whatever body he’s been granted, King Yemma’s smart enough to recognize the danger he’d present if given even a fraction of the abilities he had while alive.”

“Well, I’ll hold you to that then, grandpa. But if anything comes up, don’t hesitate to let us know. I’d be more than willing to lend a hand.” you let him know.

‘Heh, if it comes to that, I’ll try to let you guys know. Good luck out there, kid, we’ll be rooting for you.’

‘Good luck, Gohan!’ Gine cheers.

You give a nod, and King Kai turns to you. “Ready, Gohan?”

“Yep, let’s go!”

And so you are led to a large procession of fighters gathered around Grand Kai’s palace, the elderly Kai standing before the gates, a smile on his mustached and bearded face. “Warriors of the afterlife, those who’ve been granted bodies in the next world for your heroic deeds in your time among the living, guests in this realm under the supervision of the Kai above all, and all you all-around cool cats out there, welcome one and all to the Tournament of the Afterlife! Hosted by yours truly, the Grand Kai.” The doors behind him open. “Now, follow me to the arena where this contest to determine who will be the best fighter in the next world!”

https://youtu.be/l2Tc0IwKLs0

You and the myriad of fighters all head down a long hallway, passing by several doors, until you reach a massive pair further in… which open up into a room that looks more like a chunk of a solar system, even larger on the inside than you thought possible. …Why did that thought make you think of Lapis? Eh, no matter. You’re all guided to an arena in the center of this absurdly large room, on a floating, rocky island of sorts. The Grand Kai takes a seat, and next to him appears Supreme Kai, Kibito, Videl, and Pantea, causing him to jump and then quickly bow his head. The Kais are directed to a pair of chairs above the Grand Kai while the girls head towards the filling stands, though they wave to you, and then Tapion and Minotia before taking their own seats.

You and the rest of King Kai’s fighters end up sectioned off to one area, a good dozen or more of you being selected for this challenge. About the same amount end up with the other four Kais, Olibu giving a boisterous shout towards Pikkon, “You better watch out this time around, my friend! You have quite a bit of competition now.” The green alien merely smirks confidently and nods in acknowledgement. You notice that he has on a different outfit than before, looking more like the one his Kai wears.

“Gohan!” Tapion calls out to you. “Best of luck. If our paths cross in this Tournament, I hope you will give me your all.”

“Definitely, Tapion!” you call back.

The Grand Kai stands and has his attendants bring out a… bingo machine? “Now, we will begin drawing the first set of matches. These will be randomized each bout, though fighters from the same quadrant will not face one another, and in such a case, the match will be rerolled.” Grand Kai explains. Ahh, that’s neat. A bit more free form to the structure. “Rules should be simple, no attacks meant to completely destroy your opponent, touching the ceiling or floor outside the ring results in a ring-out, and in the case of being knocked unconscious or unable to fighting, you will be disqualified. Furthermore, there’s no shame in admitting defeat in this Tournament, so you are allowed to forfeit if you can’t keep going.” He then takes a step back. “Before the rolls begin, I’d like to also welcome the one and only Supreme Kai of the universe to this Tournament. I hear a few of your own students are participating in this, sir!”

Shin stands and nods. “That is correct. And I would like to wish them, and all in attendance, their best. Grand Kai, shall we let the games begin?”

“You heard ‘em boys! Let it roll!” he announces, and the bingo machine starts up.

You look around at those in King Kai’s fighters. Olibu, Yazai, Sarta, Izumi’s namesake and your own, Mijorin, and a few others you’ve seen around. The older Gohan nudges you in the arm. “Hey kiddo, who you looking forward to fighting the most?” he asks. You take a quick glance at some of the competitors…

>A. Definitely Tapion, we’ve both been training pretty hard, and I wanna see how far he’s come

“Hmm… while I definitely would like to face Tapion, I’d rather that be a match later rather than sooner. That said, that fish guy over there, by East Kai…” You gesture to the fighter. “He looks like an interesting opponent. I’d like to see what skills he has on the table.”

“First round has been decided!” Grand Kai announces. “It will be… Tapkar of the West Quadrant! Versus… Tapion of the South Quadrant!”

Huh, getting right to it then? You watch as a small alien in a blue, horned helmet and white shorts, one of the shortest aliens around, hop up into the ring. Tapion heads in after, giving South Kai a nod. West Kai declares to his fighter, “Don’t hold back just ‘cause this guy lacks a halo, Tapkar! Show him your speed!”

“Ladies and gentlemen, dudes and dudettes, and all you wonderful folks out there!” the announcer for the Tournament, a man in a tuxedo with a mushroom head, calls to the crowds through a microphone. “The first match is about to start! Combatants ready? …BEGIN!”

https://youtu.be/HfbRvWmJQ7g

As the match begins, Tapion takes a defensive stance, while his opponent begins to… run in place really quick. Hmm… some technique to increase his speed? He starts to run circles around the arena, moving even quicker than you guessed he’d be capable of. Tapion though isn’t phased by this, collecting himself. And then… his aura starts to spark around him. “Raio-ken!” he yells out, matching his opponent’s speed, to the shock of the audience. You notice King Kai flinch slightly, trying to force a smile as he mumbles under his breath. In this contest of speed, the two dash around faster and faster, Tapion gaining on his increasingly frantic foe. They clash for a bit, Takpar attempting to bring Tapion close to the edge of the ring, but he’s crafty enough to not fall for the trick, using the Hero’s Barrier to deflect his foe’s attacks. Managing to move towards the center, the two stop for a moment. Tapion’s left hand reaches for his sword, a different one than the one Izzy got for him, as his right gets ready to block.

…And then Takpar faceplants on the ground, panting and sweating up a storm. “H-he’s… too… faaaassssttt… haa… haa… I ca-… I c-c… I can’t…”

“What are you saying ‘you can’t’?!” West Kai yells at his fighter. “That isn’t all you have in- …Takpar?”

A loud snore echoes through the arena. You nearly fall yourself, with the rest of the audience. The mushroom man announcer clears his throat. “W-well well, looks like Takpar haaaas fainted! Tapion is the winner!”

West Kai starts ranting at his fighter, Tapion laughing nervously, then heading out of the ring, giving you a nod. South Kai cheers for him, declaring he did an excellent job, the rest of his group praising him for his victory. You… can’t help but give a weak laugh yourself. “That… didn’t take as long as I thought it would.”

“Some fighters focus on different areas of improvement, and… well, some can neglect certain areas. Like stamina.” Izumi comments.

The bingo machine goes again, Takpar’s removed and Tapion’s set aside. Two more pop out, and… “Next round! Arqua of the East Quadrant! Versus… Son Gohan of the North Quadrant!” Grand Kai declares.

“All right, I’m up!” You… and the older Gohan call out at the same time. Wuh-oh. You look to one another, then have to ask, “Which Gohan? Older or younger?”

A soft laugh comes from the crowds as the announcer goes over to check. “Er… younger! Younger Gohan! Aheh, sorry about that!”

East Kai laughs haughtily as her fighter enters the ring with you, King Kai yelling out, “You can do this, kid! Let’s go!”

“My Arqua is my prized student!” East Kai declares. “A shame your newest one will be out so quickly!”

You face your opponent and give a bow. “Let’s give ‘em a good show, all right?” He silently nods.

“Fighters ready? …Begin!”

You ready your defenses, bringing your guard up to see what this guy is capable of. He… seems just kinda to stand there for a moment. His movements are sluggish, but upon East Kai yelling for him to do something, he starts to run at you. You’re easily able to swerve aside from his punches, dodging each blow, even leaving a few Afterimages that he ends up falling for. Arqua steps back, then… starts to cast a Magic spell! His hands are brought back, then up, and… an orb of water forms overhead. Oh! Water Magic! Neat!

“Arqua, now! Show this kid who’s boss!” East Kai demands. The swirling water heads towards you, though you leap out of the way, moving to the side. Good timing, too, as when it splashes down it actually forms a pillar of water that jets upward into the sky. Tricky, tricky. Arqua slouches again, leading to East Kai to shout, “Stop fooling around! Use your REAL power!”

He looks back, then mutters in a squeaky voice, “Okay…” The fishman looks to you, eyes starting to glow…

You ready a Spirit Ball and start charging it with Lightning Magic, but first leap high into the sky to avoid whatever he’s about to do. And just in time, too, as not only does the ring fill with water, but a whole swirling cube of liquid encases it completely. Heh, that IS a cool skill. But you were able to move up quickly enough that Arqua hasn’t noticed where you’ve gone. All for the better, really.

Spirit Ball in hand, sparking with electricity, you spin around above the water and toss it up. “HEY ARQUA! UP HERE!” You move the orb of Ki down, and then… “BLITZ BALL!” You overhead kick it into the water, the intense electricity surging through the area and finally slamming into the fishman! The cube of water that surrounded the arena loses form, right as Arqua is knocked outside the ring! A few of the other fighters keep the water from splashing into the crowds as the orb of energy returns to you, with you floating down to the arena, having it spin on your finger.

“Arqua has been knocked out of bounds! Son Gohan is the winner!” the announcer declares, looking over the twitching fishman. His Kai starts grumbling and ranting, telling him he’s going to do 100 laps around the planet once this is over.

Your team cheers and praises you for a job well done… and you hear Pantea telepathically comment to you, ‘Okay, how long have you been waiting to make THAT move, you dork?’

‘How long’s Videl been trying to make her Falcon Punch?’ you answer, smirking up at the stands towards her. ‘Or should we get into some of YOUR ideas?’

‘Har har. Heh, nice work, Gohan.’

The bingo machine goes once more, Arqua’s slot removed and yours placed aside. And so… “Next round! Olibu of the North Quadrant! Versus… Papoi of the South Quadrant!”

Olibu gives you a thumb’s up, and you return the favor, heading into the ring with an even more massive fighter, a blue skinned alien in a chef’s hat and long flowing cape. “Well, you look like someone who takes great pride in his physique!” Olibu compliments. “Let this be a good match!” His foe flexes in seeming acknowledgement.

“Fighters ready? Begin!”

As the fighters begin to square off, you make a quick dash over to the recovering Arqua, who’s finally regained consciousness. “Hey, I know you’re still healing up, but just wanted to thank you for that match. You’ve got some good skills, was impressive seeing someone use Water Magic so well.”

He looks at you with a blank, almost confused expression, then mumbles out in his squeaky voice, “Uh… thank you…”

“Don’t think that this gets you out of the laps!” East kai yells out. “One hundred, around the planet! And I want to see each one cleared quicker than the last.” She then looks over at you, grumbling. “Youuuuu got lucky, kid. Don’t think it’ll hold up though!”

“Heh, hope the rest of your fighters do well, ma’am.” You give her a quick bow of your head, then start cheering on Olibu as you head back. “Come on man! Show ‘em what an Earthling can do!”

https://youtu.be/U6QqZfvE3Fw

The pair face off with… more tests of strength than martial arts skills. Olibu and Papoi flex and pose and even arm wrestle for a moment. “Aha! You seem to be using weighted clothing to enhance your training, are you not?” Olibu asks, the taller man grinning as the pair let out more power. “A good strategy! But for next time… I recommend you double it!” The Earthling lets out his full strength, willing the arm wrestling competition and knocking Papoi to the floor. While the larger fighter is trying to stand, Olibu manages to grapple him from behind and lifts him into the air, finally sending his foe out of bounds with a suplex.

“Papoi is out of bounds! Olibu wins!” the announcer declares. “The North Quadrant is two for two now! Will the South Quadrant be able to catch up? This tournament is only getting started, folks!”

With you and Olibu back with the rest of your group, another couple matches pass by. A Brenchian-looking man from the East Quadrant fights a winged Gorilla from the South and claims victory, that purple and tan dragon-like fighter from the West, Maraikoh, manages to claim victory against mustached man with a spiky afro and pointed ears from the East, the insectoid fighter Torbie from is able to use his raw power and skill to outpace and overpower the wolf-man Mijorin from the North. Even Minotia is able to win his first match, taking the fight against a man in what looked like a proper karate gi up to the asteroids floating above the stadium, tricking him into crashing into a few, Minotia managing to knock his foe out of bounds with his Brave Cannon attack.

Finally though, Pikkon is called into the ring... against your namesake. The elder Gohan sighs, then chuckles. “Guess that’s just MY luck, isn’t it?”

“Hey, who knows, maybe this kid being here will give you a boost of confidence. A reminder that not only is your grandson doing well, but he’s been able to raise up a good kid with Maple.” Izumi comments, nudging you in the arm gently.

You smile wide at him, cheering, “Just give it your best, great grandpa! Show Pikkon that you’re no pushover!”

With renewed confidence, he steps into the ring, giving Pikkon a bow. “Let’s give them a good show.”

https://youtu.be/aXJKr4bnGxk

Pikkon respectfully bows, but warns the elderly man, “I shall, but know that means I won’t hold anything back.”

“Begin!”

And the elder Gohan immediately starts things off with a bang, yelling out, “KAIO-KEN! TIMES TEN!” and letting his red aura surge around him, dashing at Pikkon and actually making his opponent have to block. In spite of his elderly appearance, he’s actually very spry and active, using his decades of martial arts skills to try and find an opening in Pikkon’s defenses.

But as you can tell from observing, Pikkon’s skills are more than a match for his strength, and as he blocks the elder Gohan’s attacks, he too is using this as a chance to analyze his opponent’s fighting style. He finally bats the old man away, though Gohan is able to stop himself before he reaches the edge of the ring. This time, as he tries to unleash another assault on Pikkon, the green alien starts to dodge and swerve around the old man’s attacks, not letting a single one hit him.

“Is… Pikkon toying with him?” you ask as the battle becomes increasingly one-sided.

“No, look closely.” Izumi comments. “He’s trying to see how much of Gohan’s skills come from his time in life, and how much come from his training with King Kai. He’s using Gohan to learn how to fight the rest of us.” She blinks, then rubs the back of her neck. “Man that’s still kinda awkward…”

“I’d expect nothing less.” Olibu says in a proud but respectful tone. “Pikkon is one of the best fighters among us.”

“Definitely gets the blood boiling.” Yazai says excitedly. “Can’t wait to fight him.”

You refocus your attention just in time to see him try something interesting. Gohan charges a Kamehameha, but as Pikkon dodges he redirects it, trying to chase the alien with the beam. Pikkon finally kicks it away, but it seems that’s Gohan was waiting for. “All right! Time for the real show to begin! SURPRISE!” He lifts his hands into the air and lets out jolts of electricity from them, right up towards Pikkon. Thinking quickly, Pikkon tosses his hat at the Lightning, letting it get caught in it.

And then in a flash, Pikkon’s back at the ring, making a simple comment to the old man: “You fought well.” A single spin kick is enough to send the elder Gohan right into the wall, not only out of bounds but also unconscious. His hat falls from the sky, no longer held aloft by electricity, and he catches it and places it back on his head. “But you still have a ways to go before you’re on my level.”

West Kai cheers for his student as the crowds go wild.

You head off to check up on the elder Gohan, making sure he’s brought to a proper healer. Thankfully, while he was knocked out, it’s not an especially bad blow, and once he’s healed properly, he’s back up, if groggy. “Hooh… felt like getting hit by a mountain…”

“Well, you did end up going against Pikkon.” Izumi comments. Yazai is called to fight next, his opponent a caterpillar man named… Caterpy. He and Olibu bump fists as the Saiyan heads into the ring.

“Yeah, probably… oof… should have thought that through better…” He rubs the side of his head.

“Must’ve been a good learning experience at least. Did you pick up on anything while fighting him?” you ask.

“Hmm… you know, he does seem very analytical and reserved.” he notes. “I almost got ‘em with the ol’ Thunder Shock Surprise. But he’s also very quick to react.”

“He’s also quite a lot stronger than you, Gohan.” Izumi states, which causes the both of you to look at her. “Ugh. Sorry.”

“Don’t mind if you call me ‘Gohan Junior’ if it’s that confusing.” you tell her. “…You mind if I call you ‘gramps,’ great grandpa?”

His eyes water and he smiles wide at you. “I’d be honored if you did.”

You smile wide at him. “Cool! And Ms. Izumi, how would you face Pikkon?”

“I’d have focused on trying to limit what he could do against me, though I’m fully aware that what I could limit wouldn’t be much. I’d need to keep out of his range, and when he closes in, focus on avoiding damage for as long as possible.” she explains. “Every move made would need to be calculated to do the most damage, and where damage couldn’t be dealt, made to exhaust him.”

Interesting. “Ah, so you’d make it so he’d really have to work for any victory he’d try to claim?” She nods. You turn your attention back to the ring, seeing that Yazai has this in the bag.

“Ooooh… that’s it, I’ll have to transform!” the caterpillar man declares.

“Oh? You’ve got a transformation too, huh?” Yazai asks, stepping back. “All right, lemme see it! And I can show you MY full power!”

Caterpy lays on the ground, his body covering in some kind of silky substance that forms a cocoon around him. Yazai waits patiently, ready to power up to Super Saiyan once Caterpy finishes transforming. And he waits. And waits. Aaaaand waits. His initial enthusiasm starts to wane. King Kai mutters to him, “He’s stalling, come on! Why’re you just standing there like that?”

“He ain’t stalling, North Kai!” South Kai yells back. “Caterpy’s metamorphosis has just begun! And in a mere 1200 years, he’ll reach his full power!”

Yazai falls over as he hears that, as does most of the crowd and fighters. “1200 years?!” he blurts out. “We can’t wait that long!”

“That we can’t.” Grand Kai makes note. “And as such, we’ll have to consider this fight over. Yazai, mister Saiyan guy? I hereby declare this your victory.”

“You heard it here folks! Caterpy is disqualified! Yazai wins!” the announcer confirms.

So the Saiyan heads back to you all, laughing and shaking his head. “Shame. Really did want to see what that guy can do.”

“That kind of attitude will bite you in the butt if you aren’t careful.” King Kai warns him grumpily.

“Ah, Yazai could’ve taken him, King Kai, don’t worry. Besides, we should be testing ourselves at our best, shouldn’t we?”

He pouts slightly. “While that’s true, it’s not the best idea to start showing off too much, you know. You might end up losing if you start showboating.”

“Good point! But it’s fun to try and challenge ourselves, right?” You look over the others.

“Certainly!” Olibu yells in affirmation. “We must strive to reach new limits!”

“King Kai does have a point.” Izumi butts in. “Try not to get too cocky.”

“All right, all right.” You notice as they start hauling Caterpy out of the area. “Actually, excuse me real quick.” You rush over to South Kai. “Sir, pardon me, I’ve got a question about your fighter there.”

He raises an eyebrow, but seems willing to hear you out. “All right kid, but try to make it quick.”

“Are you aware of any worlds that have Hyperbolic Time Chambers?” you question. “You know, places where time flows differently, quicker inside than outside. Like where one say inside is a year outside.”

He places his knuckles on the sides of his hips. “Now where in the cosmos were you able to run into one of THOSE?” he almost demands.

“There’s one on Earth.” you reply almost nonchalantly. “I’ve actually used it myself. Just bringing it up in case you ever need help getting that guy out sooner rather than later.”

Tapion and Minotia both give nods of approval, and even Torbie smiles at you for that. South Kai tries to keep himself from joining in on it. “Well. Maybe I’ll consider it.”

“I mean, still gonna take like… what, three years? Bit more? Before it’d be time for him to hatch.” you comment. “Still! Something to kee-OW!” King Kai starts dragging you away by the ear. “H-hey! Heeeyyy! Come on, I wasn’t done!”

“You can tell him all about it AFTER the Tournament. Keep your head here, kid.” he tells you. Sensing them out from the crowd, you also spot Pantea and Videl, and check up on them.

‘I’m saving a mental note to noogie you for that.’ Pantea responds. ‘Buuuuut I think it wasn’t the bug man Videl was paying attention tooooo~’

‘I will literally throw her into the ring if she keeps this up.’ Videl informs you. ‘From the stands, full force.’

‘Her face got a little red, and when I made note of that, it got reeeeaaally red.’ Pantea states in a gossipy tone.’

‘Aren’t you and Sharpner dating still?’ you question Videl.

You sense her starting to raise her strength. ‘Gohan please don’t you start, or I’m taking aim at you instead.’

Ahhh, that’s what this is. ‘I mean I’m not judging. If you think Yazai’s handsome I could introduce the two of you after-’

‘Shut up shut up shut uuup!’

A cheeky grin appears on your face. ‘Okay, okay. Pantea, come on, don’t keep this going. She might start teasing you in return. And I am curious, Videl, something up with Sharpner.’

‘I… look, this isn’t the time for that, okay? Let me watch the rest of this.’

The cheekiness of your grin fades. ‘So I take it that yes, you are enjoying the Tournament.’

‘Honestly, there’s a lot I’m learning from this already. Heh, guess it’s a good reminder for me to stay on the straight and narrow if I wanna end up in a place like here when I finally pass.’ Videl notes. ‘…Okay that’s admittedly a weird thought, but you know what I mean.’

‘I getcha! Bet King Kai would love having you as a student too.’ you tell her.

Once you’re back with the rest of your fellow fighters, you notice Izumi facing off against an even shorter opponent, a man with tan skin and a long black beard, who’s using… oh neat, the multi-form technique! But even with it, Izumi’s able to swerve around each attack and honestly make it look easy. There’s little wasted movement in how she fights, each blow leading into another, each dodge setting up a counter. You even notice that her opponent’s not merely using the multi-form, but intense speed as well, trying to catch her off-guard with the two. That’s actually pretty cool.

But definitely not enough to outclass her, Izumi finally seeing her opening. “PHANTOM SHOTGUN!” she yells out, striking three of her foes at once with the well-timed Ki attack. As the other two try to rush her, her palms have already slapped together. She jumps into the air, yelling “Revenant Driver!” and striking the two with another Ki attack as they chase her afterimage. Izumi lands behind them all, finishing the combo off with a fierce kick that bowls them all over and out of bounds.

“Ring out for Chapuchai! Izumi Citron advances!” the announcer declares. “We’re just a couple matches away from the next set, folks! North Quadrant has done pretty well so far, but West and South are still standing strong! Can the fighters of East Quadrant hang in there and make a comeback? Tune in soon!”

The Tournament finally clears the first set in the bingo machine, and the remaining fighters’ bingo balls are gathered up again. A good number of your fellow North Quadrant fighters are still in the fight, followed by South, West, and East. A few fights pass by, Sarta of the North Quadrant facing off against Minotia, with the boy actually managing to claim victory, using his Hero’s Barrier to deflect the massive amount of Ki blasts his foe fires off, skillfully timing it so he reflects most back at his opponent. Olibu ends up facing off against one of South Kai’s fighters, Froug, who attempts to push him out of the ring by expanding his body massively, only for Olibu, upon figuring out that trying to punch the amphibian out isn’t working, to lift him up and toss him out of the ring. Yazai gets paired up with one of the remaining fighters belonging to East Kai, a tall, long-necked green dragon fighter with angelic wings, using Wind Magic to try and push the Saiyan out of the ring, but falling to Yazai’s aura-based strikes.

Finally, you’re called up next, against the tan and purple dragon man Maraikoh of the West Quadrant. He looks down his snout at you as the pair of you enter the ring, standing tall and imposing. “Fair warning, kid, you’re clever, I’ll give you that, but these next fights are only going to get tougher.”

You give him a respectful bow. “I bet on it. Let’s give it our all.”

He snorts, taking his fighting stance. “All right, no holding back.”

You keep your guard up, letting your opponent close in and start up his attacks. He’s definitely on a level above your previous opponent in terms of strength, even managing to nearly get the drop on you by dashing behind you and swiping with his tail. You however use your smaller stature to swerve under as he attacks, dodging his next set of blows and even leaping up over his arms as he tries to grapple you. As you attempt a proper counter though, you find that his scales are strangely slick, and end up kicking off him before he can take advantage of this.

The pair of you dash around the arena, you letting him attack and even press his advantage for a bit, finding that even with his bulk, Maraikoh is quite skilled as a fighter. He changes things up a bit by letting out a blast of fire from his mouth, then trying to follow you with it as you dodge away. You use the Ki Jan Ken to reach his horns and deliver two palm strikes to them causing him to stop his blast of flame and back away.

You smirk. “Man, you’re pretty tough.” Your aura sparks up, electricity surrounding you. “Think you can keep up with this speed though? Raio-ken!” You take to the air, flying past a couple of the asteroids… and finding the dragon man appear near a few a distance away, his body engulfed in a flaming aura.

“Burning Shoot!” Maraikoh yells out, kicking one of the asteroids at you. You flip out of the way from it and land on another. Well, looks like he’s got his own power-boosting skill. The flames fade and the dragon man stares you down, grinning. “Gonna have to do better than that, kid.”

“That’s a really cool technique! It’s a lot like one developed by King Kai, actually…” you start off, grinning proudly. Your Ki rises up to its normal base level, and then keeps rising as you feel that tranquil surge. “The KAIO-KEN!”

He attempts to try the same technique again, but you’ve already out-paced him when he tries to defend, feinting your attack and instead leaping up to another asteroid above him, kicking it at him. He makes an attempt to chase you, kicking another asteroid your way, that you instead run around and leap off from it. Light Magic builds up around your fists as you fly forward at full speed, unleashing the Machinegun Punch at your foe, pummeling him downward to the ground. You ready a final blow, Maraikoh letting out another jet of fire from his mouth to try and stop your attack, but you corkscrew around it and land the punch spinning.

The dragon man hits the ground hard enough to cause a crater to form, with you landing at the edge of the ring and throwing out a victory sign. “What a show, folks! The mighty Maraikoh was keeping pact for a bit there, but the younger Son Gohan has claimed victory with quite a dramatic finish!”

“Yeeeaaaah! Now that’s what I’m talking about, Gohan! Good job!” King Kai cheers.

Maraikoh sits himself up, dazed still. You hop over and float up to try and help him stand. “Hey, nice match! You’ve really something else, almost had me with that technique of yours.”

He grumbles, but lets you help him up. West Kai though shakes his fist at you. “Ooooh just you wait kid! You’ll change your tune soon enough!”

“Yeah yeah West Kai, you can keep saying that.” King Kai starts leading you back.

“Nice fight, Gohan.” Tapion tells you as you pass by the remaining fighters of the South Quadrant.

“Yeah, you kicked some butt out there!” Minotia cheers. As you walk past, you see even South Kai himself giving a more cordial smile to you.

“The next round has been decided! Izumi Citron of the North Quadrant! Versus… Tapion of the South Quadrant!” Grand Kai declares.

“The Tuffle Martial Artist has been around for a couple decades now and has made quite a name for herself these last couple decades, but how will that stand up against someone personally trained by the one and only Supreme Kai?!” the announcer asks the crowds, building up hype.

You decide to merely wish them both good luck in their fight as they head into the ring, deciding to watch the battle intently. As you do, you check in with Pantea and Videl again. ‘Say, how you guys doing? These fights still giving you two new ideas?’

‘Definitely. Wonder how that fire-based power booster Maraikoh used works.’ Pantea notes.

‘The more I see the more I realize how varied martial arts styles can be.’ Videl comments. ‘This next one looks like quite an interesting fight.’

‘I’ve spent some time with the pair before, I can probably point out some more subtle thing they’re capable of if you’d like.’ you let them know.

‘Heh, some extra commentary would be appreciated, actually. Thank you, Gohan.’ Videl says.

Okay, cool! Your attention turns back to the fight, watching as… Izumi actually starts off pretty strong. While Tapion is not in any way a slouch, Izumi’s lifetime and beyond of martial arts training is keeping him on his toes. When he attempts to regain the upper hand, she uses her signature Izumi Combo to counter each of his attacks and deliver hard palm strikes that do a decent bit of damage. She’s actually fighting a bit more aggressively than you figured she would. Hmm… ‘If I were to guess, she’s actually taking advantage of the fact that Tapion’s still alive. His stamina limits are much lower than hers.’ you make note to the girls.

‘Wait, really?’ Videl asks.

‘Yeah. Didn’t you notice while fighting me as Pandel? While dead, your body doesn’t use up nearly as much stamina. So Tapion and Minotia both do have a bit of a handicap in this Tournament.’ As Tapion puts out more power, Izumi switches up tactics, now working to block, evade, and sparingly counter his attacks, trying to give ground but stay in control of the fight. ‘Looks like she’s still keeping that up. This could get really dicey if Tapion doesn’t catch on soon.’

Finally seeing an opening, Izumi ducks under Tapion and prepares herself to land an elbow blow to his back. Tapion however reacts just in time, hand moving to his sword and maneuvering it so that Izumi’s elbow strikes his scabbard, which actually causes her to flinch. Tapion finally draws his sword, the metal of it quite dark in color, holding it defensively. The Tuffle woman backs away, rubbing her elbow. “I was wondering why you were carrying something like that around, even in this Tournament. Looks like I finally got my answer. That blade doesn’t look like it actually has much of an edge, though.”

Tapion smiles. “You’d be correct. This isn’t quite a weapon of combat, but rather, training. I would still not recommend getting hit by it.” He points the sword at her. “It is QUITE heavy.”

You glance towards Minotia and see him smiling… and that his sword too looks like it’s made of a similar material. Now fully aware of what she’s dealing with, Izumi activates her own Kaio-ken, x10, and tries to break through Tapion’s guard. But with his sword out, he’s now better able to block her attacks, using the Raio-ken to keep up with her increase in speed but not truly trying to match her power. Their fight takes to the air, and when Tapion goes on the offensive again, he’s able to force Izumi back, with her landing on an asteroid. To which Tapion slashes through with a sword beam, then follows up with more that chase her through the sky.

‘Guess his skills really do shine through the most as a swordsman.’ Pantea makes note of. ‘Now she’s on the ropes.’

‘There’s something about that sword that’s odd to me.’ Videl adds in. ‘Wondering what he meant by it being “heavy.”’

‘Well, when I trained with the Supreme Kai, I was given the Z Sword, the thing holding Elder Kai inside it, to help with my training. It was massively heavy. Maybe Tapion’s got something like that…’

https://youtu.be/ggSu1r4NrWI

And as if to test your theory, when Izumi tries to kick down at Tapion to take the battle back to the ring, he reverses the blade and actually thrusts up at her with the pommel, stopping her in her tracks. “Hold this for a moment.” he tells her, having her grab the sword, leading to her plummeting to the ground. Izumi immediately lets go, but by then it’s too late. “BRAVE CANNON!” Tapion hits her in the back with his Ki attack and sends her out of bounds. He then bolts down to his sword and grabs it, twirling it in his hand and bringing it back into its sheath.

“Izumi Citron is out of the ring! TAPION ADVANCES!”

Tapion looks up towards Supreme Kai, giving a humble bow to him- oh! Yeah! ‘Supreme Kai, sir, just a thing you might want to be aware of.’

‘Oh? Is something the matter, Gohan?’

‘So my family has a bit of a history with Tournaments taking odd turns, especially given mom’s animosity with Towa. Be it Garlic Jr. causing trouble, Towa’s minions making threats, Towa herself trying to manipulate Vegeta, the whole thing with Majin Ozotto, and of course the one you ended up in with us. Maybe call it being paranoid, but might come up in this one too.’

‘Thank you for the warning. I will keep track of any suspicious events, but do not let it cloud your mind during the Tournament.’

You grin. ‘Hearing you say that has already put my mind at ease. I’ll do my best, sir!’

The tournament finally reaches its next set of matches, with East Kai’s remaining fighters having been eliminated, and things starting to whittle down to only a few remaining combatants. Yourself, Olibu, Yazai, Torbie, Tapion, Minotia, Pikkon, and to your surprise, a kinda porcupine-like fighter you weren’t really giving much thought to previously are all that remain. Yazai cracks his knuckles, then asks you, “They’ve really narrowed it down, huh? Who you looking forward to fighting the most, kiddo? One of your buds, ol’ bugman over there, or either of West Kai’s remaining fighters?”

>A. If I’m being honest, I’d like to face Pikkon sooner rather than later

“Well, definitely Tapion, that’s for certain, I’d like to see how our training compares. He’s been working hard under the Supreme Kai, after all.” You rub your chin. “That said… that porcupine guy is interesting, I wonder how he fights, I wasn’t really paying attention to any of his fights, sorry. What’s his deal?”

“Ah, you mean Zega. Be careful of those spines on his back, they’re quite sharp. He’s also pretty quick, and from what I’ve seen he stays on the move when fighting. I recall his people also having another unique power, but I haven’t seen him use it just yet.” the Saiyan man explains. “If you do end up against him, watch out for that.”

“Got it. Heh, hey, think that if it’s all North Quadrant fighters left, we’ll end up facing one another?” you ask. “It’d be fun to go all out.”

“Hah! We’ll have to see won’t we?” Yazai asks in return, clearly enjoying the possibility.

“Next round has been decided! Son Gohan of the North Quadrant! Versus… Tapion of the South Quadrant!”

You and Tapion look to one another, nodding and heading into the ring as the crowds cheer. You and Tapion bow to one another. “I hope to see the fruits of your training, Gohan.”

“Same, I know you’ve been training hard, Tapion. Show me what you’ve got!”

“Fighters ready?” the mushroom man announcer questions. “BEGIN!”

Tapion immediately draws his sword and takes a defensive stance with it, apparently letting you make the first move. Well, if he insists…

“RAIO-KEN!” you yell out, blasting towards Tapion. He answers in kind, and the two of you bolt around the arena, as if dueling bolts of lightning. Even with his training though, Tapion’s struggling to keep up with your speed, and you manage to trip him up with Afterimages enhanced with Light Magic, letting off flashbangs when struck. You see an opening and go for it, sending out a wispy, spectral bit of energy and launching it at Tapion, hitting his right wrist and causing him to lose balance. Now, let’s see how heavy that sword is!

You make a grab for it while he’s off-balance… only to find your hand swatted away by the sword. “Not so fast, Gohan!” Tapion then uses it to block against another grab, and then a kick in attempt to disarm him. “I’m not about to give this up so easily!” He finally forces you back with the Hero’s Barrier, then leaps into the air and lands on one of the asteroids he’d sliced in half in a previous match. “But if it’s a sword of your own you want…” Tapion holds out his hand and focuses hard… and materializes a curved blade out of thin air! Doesn’t look like it’s quite the same quality as his own sword, but… wow! He learned a Magic Materialization, huh? Tapion stabs it into the asteroid to show its resiliency. “I can definitely provide.”

You smirk up at him. Well, have a proper swordfight with the expert swordsman?

>A. Head up and grab it! This’ll be a better match for you both

A wild grin on your face, you fly up to the asteroid Tapion is on. “All right, but be aware…” You reach for the sword, tapping into more of the strength Elder Kai unlocked for you. “I’m still aiming to win. HRAH!” Pulling the sword from the stone in a slash, you clash blades with Tapion… then bring a hand down to reach for your own sword, drawing it and slashing with a draw-cut. That’s enough to knock Tapion off-balance, and you hold both swords in your hands. As you do, though, you see that the blade Tapion made is SUBSTANTIALLY heavier than your own, probably closer to his in weight. Gonna have to take that into account.

You and Tapion clash on the asteroid, your greater strength and Tapion’s even more refined skills than before giving it a decent balance. Even with both blades, Tapion’s able to hold you back, and even gain some ground for a moment. You force Tapion back and pour your Ki into the swords, slashing out with the Ka-Blam Slicer. Tapion moves back and actually avoids and even deflects away some of the slashes of Ki you fire off, most of them ending up chopping up other asteroids in the distance.

With a quick burst of speed though, the swordsman is right back on you, slashing downward with all his might. You block it, but he hits with such force that you both end up falling back to the ground as the asteroid you’re on finally breaks. Once more on the ring, you and Tapion head back, blades at the ready. Tapion pants, the fight taking its toll on him, but even with that he’s smiling. Both hands on his sword, he tells you with beaming praise, “That was quite a brilliant move, Gohan. But I don’t intend to back down just yet.”

“Wouldn’t expect anything less, Tapion! You’re awesome, but I’m still planning to win this!”

You really do know how to make these fights cinematic, Kato. Gohan using both swords is brilliant. Thanks for running, Kato!
>>
>>4299152
Sweet, we got to use our sword with another! Maybe we can pull off something like what Izzy did to Hirudegarn but with lightning instead of spirit sword.

Thanks for the run, Kato! It's a cool fight.
>>
Is there any way we can make Tapion's sword any heavier? Does Gohan know at least that much Dark Magic?

Plan: Gohan makes the sword heavier. Heavier. HEAVIER! He is in the air above Tapion, who is on his guard for any attack from above. Soon, the sword becomes heavier than even the Tourney Grounds, which are floating in the Aether. Then, Tapion, to his surprise, lands on the grass outside the ring, which was pulled up towards the sword.

As the two of you stare one another down, you see Tapion move his left hand from the grip and up above his head, a faint glow emanating from it. His sword still pointed at you, he declares, “So be it. I still have a few tricks I’m willing to try out. Come on, Gohan! Show me what you’ve got!”

With both swords at the ready, you’ve probably set on delivering one final blow to take Tapion down. But, he’s definitely got something up his sleeve. Going to need to be careful, he still seems pretty confident. What do you do? Try one more attack to finish this off? Keep wearing him down until his body gives out? Or stay on guard, just in case his next move really is some sort of trap?

You raise both swords up to the sky, a crack of thunder echoing as lightning shoots down to both blades. “Then here it goes, Tapion! Take this! DOUBLE…!”

But right as you’re about to slash them down, Tapion suddenly thrusts his hand forward, and you feel your own body stiffen, held in place. He smirks, his aura surging around him, struggling to hold his hand up, but… he’s definitely immobilized you completely. Crap! “Now’s my chance! HRRAAAAAHHH!” Hand still holding you in place, Tapion dashes forward, ready to land one final slash to end this bout.

Gotta think quick! Rgh… only one chance at this! “THUNDER BREAK SLASH!” you roar. The sheer power of the attack and the bright flash that erupts from it causes Tapion to very, very momentarily lose his hold on you, allowing you to bring your swords down and block his attack. Got him! But even with that, he’s holding against you, the sparks emanating from your swords going wild.

“Incredible! Have you ever seen such a display, folks? I’d expect nothing less from the students of the Supreme Kai!” the announcer hypes up to the cheering crowds.

Tapion holds his hand out again, managing to hold you in place once more, and starts to push you back. He’s going to bring you to the edge and push you off. Come on, Gohan, think! You can get out of this, right?

As Tapion pushes harder, using every last ounce of his strength to try to get you our of the ring, you realize what you need to do. Instead of trying to resist, you calm yourself and prepare. This is your only chance. If you fail, you’re going to lose. Get ready. “You’ve done amazingly, Tapion. Can’t say I expected this. Nice job.”

https://youtu.be/l2Tc0IwKLs0

“You fought well yourself, Gohan. But I’ve won this match. HRAH!” He brings his other hand to his sword and shoves… and that’s just the moment you were looking for. With your body released from his hold, you swerve around him, flowing like water, and in an instant are behind him. Tapion tries to regain the upper hand, but it’s too late. You yell out and fire off an Explosive Wave, and for good measure fling the blade he created at Tapion’s sword… slipping up just a bit and ending up throwing your own sword too. It ends up embedded in a wall. Aheh, woops.

But still, Tapion’s pushed out of the ring and for good measure the two heavy blades clashing together and finally knocking it out of his hand. Tapion lands on the ground, panting, exhausted, and most definitely defeated. You did it! Haha, you did it!

“Ladies and gentlemen, what an INCREDIBLE turn-around! Tapion is out of the ring! Son Gohan advances!” the announcer declares, to the thunderous cheers of the crowds. “Truly, these two fighters have shown what the students of the Supreme Kai are capable of. But will this keep up into the final matches? These fights are heating up, and only time will tell!”

You hop down beside Tapion, with him letting out a soft laugh. “Heh… guess I still need a bit of practice with that. Nice fight, Gohan, and thank you.”

You hold out your hand to help him up. “You had me on my toes the whole match, Tapion! Thank YOU for such an awesome fight!” The two of you stand together and shake hands. “Though I have to ask, what was that technique you were using during those last moments? It nearly won the match for you there!”

Tapion laughs softly, telling you quietly, “It’s something the Supreme Kai has been training Minotia and myself in, a form of telekinesis binding that he once used during the battle against Majin Buu.”

“Woah, really? Hah, no wonder it nearly got me.” you say with a laugh, moving to pick up your sword embedded in the wall. “Say, wanna cheer on Minotia for his match?”

He nods. “Absolutely.”

“Great! Let’s go!”

With your match over, the next one that passes by is Yazai against Torbie, the bugman putting up a tremendous battle against the Saiyan. Torbie’s techniques are rather tricky, managing to actually counter Yazai’s aural attacks by attacking them with energy attacks. His speed is what proves to be enough to finally push Yazai into showing off more of his full strength. The Saiyan man’s hair waves in the air as he grins, aura flaring up and going gold.

“Finally got pushed to this. Thanks for giving me an opportunity to really show everyone what I can do. HRRRAAAAHH!” And so he stands before his foe as a Super Saiyan. However, he takes a defensive stance, letting Torbie think he’s got the upper hand… an aural fist blocks a kick the bugman aims at the Saiyan’s back, much more focused and clear, shaped like one of his own arms. Yazai then spins on his heel and starts to pummel Torbie with a flurry of blows, both his own fists and the ones formed from his aura, until he finally delivers a right hook that sends him out of bounds. The Saiyan man advances!

And so, Minotia is next, facing off against the spiky fighter Zega. “Come on Minotia! You can do this!” you cheer on.

“Show them how well Supreme Kai has trained you, brother!” Tapion adds in. “I believe in you.”

“Minotia, South Quadrant’s counting on you to take this into the finals!” even South Kai chimes in. “Kick that hedgehog’s butt!”

“Zega! You better be in this to win!” West Kai yells out to his fighter. “Don’t you start losing to a kid now!”

“Fighters ready? BEGIN!”

Minotia starts off actually rather aggressively, trying to get ahead of his foe from the get-go, but Zega does have a genuine speed advantage due to the training sword the boy has, and beyond that, he’s also exceptionally confident. Zega leaps into the air and spins, raining down spines on the ring that pierce through and do quite a bit of damage to the floor, Minotia managing to guard against it with the Hero’s Barrier. While spinning in midair, Zega then rockets at the boy, crashing into his barrier and startling Minotia, and even though he’s bounced off it, Zega is able to easily get back up on his feet.

“Come on, step it up!” he declares, running around the ring and trying to get under Minotia’s guard. The boy brings up his barrier again, causing Zega to hop around it… and then clap his hands together. Once the barrier’s down again, Minotia tries to regain the upper hand, but when the boy rushes his foe, Zega somehow opens up some sort of portal that appears in front of him… right to the ground outside the ring. With not a moment to lose, Minotia actually draws his sword and spins, using the weight of it to swerve around the portal. While the spin is quite chaotic and unfocused, it catches Zega off-guard and knocks him away, his portal vanishing.

“Ah! That’s what his skill was!” Yazai comments. “Very tricky, especially in a fight like this.”

“Minotia, you can win this!” you yell out to him.

Zega stops himself near the edge, almost falling, but quickly getting back in the ring. He taps the inside of his halo with his finger, even making it spin around it for a moment, a cocky grin on his face. Minotia recollects himself, placing both hands on his sword. As the spiky red alien starts to rev up, you see the boy’s face light up. He’s got an idea! Seeing Zega clap his hands together once more, then dash towards the boy, Minotia actually starts running towards him. Zega opens it up again and then jolts around Minotia in a red streak, attempting to get behind him… when Minotia actually drops his sword on the ground. The sudden impact of the heavy object crashing into the floor trips up the red blur until he’s stumbling through the air. Minotia then quickly picks the blade up again, and spins with all his might, knocking Zega through the portal he made and into the dirt!

“Zega is out of bounds! Minotia wins!”

He raises his sword proudly as the crowds cheer. You look to Tapion and see him more proud than ever of his brother. Heck, if you were to guess, he’d not be smiling as wide for even his own victory. And with that, only one fight remains before the next round. Olibu against Pikkon. It’ll definitely be one to watch out for.
