Saiyans. Were you to travel the stars, doubtlessly tales of that mighty warrior race would reach your ears. Some speak of them with awe and wonder, marveling at their power and aspiring to become like them. Others speak in hushed tones, of the fear and despair in facing them in battle. But one thing all agree on, is that standing against the might of the Saiyan race spells certain doom. Many have tried, several going as far as to invade the Saiyan’s homeworld of New Salda. Yet every invasion has failed, defeated by the Saiyans and their most powerful warriors: the golden-haired Super Saiyans, and the green-haired legend who leads them.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, a story told of an alternate timeline in the Dragonball world. Currently we are in Age 748, this timeline having veered irreversibly off it’s natural course. You the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a powerlevel of only 2,830 and destined to die before Freeza destroyed Planet Vegeta. Throughout your adventures the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the symbol of the Saiyan race’s might, and even befriending the Emperor Freeza. Now, as a PTO general with a powerlevel of 19,750,000, Karn has become a living symbol of the PTO’s power.

Quest rules are as follows:
>20 minute voting windows
>pick ONE option when voting, unless otherwise noted
>Dice rolls are all best of three, only correctly rolled dice pools count
>Crits are 100 on a d100(a 99 or paired rolls may net you an extra bonus)
>Crit fails will count -only- if no roll passes the DC, or if two different 1s are rolled.
>Two 1s will OVERRIDE even a critical success, resulting in a catastrophic crit failure
>Write-ins are both allowed and encouraged.
That said, they can and will be shut down if too out of character/metagamey. With over 100 episodes behind us, Karn now has a well-established character

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After battling Golden Oozaru Vegeta, Karn was awoken by his instincts and the feeling something was off. Tanya was awoken as well, the two of you coming face-to-face with the apprentice Kai, Kars. Somehow Kars knew you’d battled a Super Saiyan God, and wondered how he compared. But after his departure, and four more months of training, the Ginyu Force arrived! After a night’s rest, Karn challenged all five of them to a match. And as we rejoin Karn, all five members of the Ginyu Force combined their power and created a massive blast overhead.

“GINYU FORCE ULTIMATE BOMBER!!” they all shout as one, launching the massive blast downward. Fortunately for you it’s not an exceptionally fast attack, giving you a few moments to counter. And so you quickly gather your own ki, forming a spinning, powerful ball of energy in each hand. You slam them together, the spinning energy combining into a massive, piercing beam. Your attack explodes out from your hands, slamming into their combined attack. The piercing, spiraling blast punches into their attack, and after a moment punches straight through it. As your attack pierces into their ‘Ultimate Bomber’ it explodes, the shockwaves so powerful they nearly knock you right on your ass. Destroying their attack, you end your own, the five splitting up and narrowly avoiding the massive spiraling beam.

“WOAH!!”
“SHITE!!”
“FUCK!!”

The Ginyu Force all shout and evade as your attack destroys theirs, the five of them all narrowly dodging your attack. As your beam ends you sigh out, but only four of them are above you. Without hesitation you spin, slamming your forearm down on Guldo. Or rather, at Guldo. As your arm swings down, suddenly your entire body is frozen in place! You struggle against the invisible force holding you, and despite Guldo’s effort he doesn’t stop your attack. But what would have been a powerful smash is slowed dramatically, your swing far too slow to hit anyone. Guldo is unable to move while doing this, but Burter dashes in and pulls him back away from you. As he does, Guldo releases his hold, your fist crashing down into the ground.

“Not bad you guys.” you say, the five members of the Ginyu Force regrouping on Guldo and facing you. “Your teamwork is smoother than ever.”

How will you do this?
>Rush in and attack, use your Su Ma and Djem So styles to overwhelm them
>Keep on the defensive, play it safe
>Focus on evasion, try and get them in each others’ way
>Keep your distance, use your ki attacks to wear them down
>Use your multiform technique, fight 5v5

“But you can’t stop me!” you shout, green aura flaring up around you. “RRRAAAAA!!”
“Ginyu Force! Attack!” Captain Ginyu shouts, he and Recoome both moving to intercept your charge. “SHAAAAA!!”
“TOH!!” Recoome shouts, as he and Ginyu’s fists slam into both of yours. But even with their powers combined, the two are no match for your raw strength. Your strikes send both of the brawnier Ginyu Force fighters flying back, Burter dashing in and trying to hit you from behind. But he’s too slow to attack, you spinning into a left turning kick that forces Burter back and away from you.

“Crusher Volcano!!” Jeice shouts from above, dozens of fiery blasts all hovering around him as he prepares to send them all down at you.
“Dammit!” you mutter, preparing to dodge, but suddenly you can’t move! “Huh?”
“Do it!” Guldo shouts, voice clearly strained as he keeps you in place. “Hurry!”
“HAAAAAAAA!!” Jeice shouts, and despite your struggle are unable to break free of Guldo’s psychic hold. Blast after fiery blast slams into you, and if you were on their level this attack would have caused serious damage. But as strong as you are, the attack merely scorches your training clothing.
“Recoome KNEE!” Recoome shouts, launching himself towards you knee-first while cloaked in his powerful, pink ki. As he does you finally break free from Guldo’s influence, allowing you to narrowly spin past his charge. “Huh?”
“Gotcha.” you say, using your spin to deliver a crushing right heel kick to the back of the brawler’s head. “Haa!”

Recoome is sent uncontrollably tumbling, rolling across the ground until he slides to a stop by Ginyu’s Sangheili feet, unconscious. The captain looks from him to you, brow furrowed.

“Ginyu Force, don’t let up!” Captain Ginyu shouts, dashing headlong at you. Burter and Jeice charge along with their captain, the three of them trying to overpower you with a coordinated attack.
“SIR!” they shout, you forced fully onto the defensive as the three attack with flawless teamwork. Were you not many times stronger than them, even combined, you wouldn’t be able to keep up with the tremendous assault. For over a minute you block every strike, too concerned with defending yourself to wonder what Guldo’s doing. But as the three suddenly, wordlessly all leap away, you see what he’s been doing. A shadow covers you, looking up you see a massive something dropping towards you.

What do you do?
>Block it, whatever he threw you can take

As the mass drops, you pull the first two fingers of your right hand to your forehead and focus on Guldo’s ki. After a moment you’ve locked on, and using your Instant Transmission vanish. One instant you’re beneath the massive chunk of New Salda, the next you’re floating behind Guldo. And before he can realize what’s happening you swing, chopping the back of his neck with your left hand.

“Ha-uhh.” Guldo says, your strike knocking him out cold. You catch him by the back of his armor, landing on the large, displaced chunk of rock and setting Guldo down before leaping back into the air.
“Is that all you’ve got?” you shout down to the remaining Ginyu Force fighters. “C’mon, give me everything you’ve got!”
“SHAAAAAA!!” Ginyu himself roars, but Burter and Jeice don’t follow. Instead you feel their ki both spiking, while Ginyu tries to distract you with a noisy charge. And although you can see right through the plan, you decide to play along. After all, you’re curious what secret attack they’re planning. Blocking Ginyu’s fist with your left forearm, you counter with a straight right to his chest. Armor shattering, Captain Ginyu is sent flying. But you’re not done yet, chasing him down and catching his foot to slam him into the ground over and over again. You then lift the disoriented captain by his leg, and seeing he’s out you toss him gently aside. Don’t want him caught in whatever-

“PURPLE COMET FLASH!!” Burter and Jeice shout from above, you looking up and seeing a spiral disc of purple energy. And as you look, suddenly dozens of powerful blasts begin blasting out from the spiral towards you. With no time to run you stand your ground, swatting each of the powerful energy blasts that come close away. After swatting away a hundred or so, the purple spiral suddenly dashes at you! “Z CRASH!”
“Shit!” you shout, trying to catch their combination dash attack. But it’s no good, the two’s spin keeping you from grabbing and stopping the attack and instead they crash into your chest. Unable to stop it you’re knocked back, their powerful combination digging into your lower chest as you’re pushed out into the sea. After a few seconds you finally manage to roll free, the spiraling purple energy launching past you. But they don’t stop, taking a wide turn and again charging right for you.

What do you do now?
>Energy Punch, try and counter them with raw power
>Barrier, block that attack with your own energy
>Unmovable Energy Body, let them wear themselves out on defenses they can’t break through
>Evade and pepper them with ki attacks until their attack ends

“C’mon, bring it!” you shout, crossing your arms before you and flaring your power. Focusing your energy, you channel it into a technique you’d been practicing during your training: your Unmovable Ki Body. As your power envelops your body, it locks you solidly in place. With your nigh-indestructible shell formed, Jeice and Burter’s combined attack slams hard into you. Your shield tanks his attack, despite their combined power they can’t even hope to move you. After several seconds they deflect off, coming around to hit you from the back. You don’t let your shields down, and despite slamming into you from several different sides, you don’t even feel it.

“Tch, why can’t we budge you!?” they shout, returning to the air over you and seperating. As their attack ends you end your Unmovable Ki Body as well, blasting off the ground to Burter and slamming a fist into his jaw. Before either of them can react he’s out, you closing in on Jeice as well.
“W-?” he starts, you dashing around behind him and chopping the back of his neck as well. Both of the last Ginyu Force members are out, dropping to the ground and landing with a soft thud.

“Whew.” you sigh out, drifting back down to the ground as well. You see Caulifla’s already hard at work, her Stand Triumph having healed the rest and now working on Burter.
“As impressive as always, Karn!” Ginyu says, you clasping forearms with him. “Your hits land quite a bit harder than I remember.”
“Been training myself really hard.” you reply, still in your Berserker form but completely in control. You don’t tear his arm off or accidentally break his arm, the months spent mastering your powerful transformation is clearly paying off. Letting him go, the Ginyu Force all reassemble, looking no worse for wear except for their damaged armor. “Have to be ready for anything.”

“Of course!” Ginyu shouts, his team all posing together as one. “No matter where trouble rears it’s ugly head!”
“We’ll be there, and make them dead!” the rest shout together.
“Thank you for the match, Karn.” Ginyu says. “You’ve showed us just how much stronger we have to get. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have a meeting with Lord Freeza.”
“Of course.” you reply, waving to them. “Anytime.”
“Ginyu Force, move out!” he shouts, the five all blasting off as one. Well, that was interesting. But what now?

“Not bad hun.” Meloka says, your wife walking over to you. She’s still in her Super Saiyan 3 form, having mastered her own powerful transformation during the past few months. “But they’ve gotten a lot more dangerous than I remember them being. If you weren’t as strong as you are...”
“Right?” you say, a little more appreciative of your allies. “I don’t know what they’ve been doing, but they’ve certainly improved. I feel a lot better about this coming war, knowing they’re on our side and a lot stronger than they used to be. And they weren’t trying to kill me, I know just how dangerous Guldo’s Time Freeze can be.”

“It’s not that impressive.” Raditz says, you turning and seeing the young Saiyan man standing beside your eldest daughter. “I could stop him.”
“Really?” you ask, turning fully to him. “Tell me, how much damage can a Covenant sword do to you? Now imagine your opponent has stopped time, and has two minutes to cut you to pieces while you can’t fight back. Now, how will you fight back?”
“Daddy, don’t be so mean to him. He hasn’t seen Guldo fight yet.” Chaya says teasingly, sticking her tongue out at you for a moment before grabbing Raditz’s hand. “C’mon Raditz, we gotta go! Tanya’s already there, we gotta go! You comin’ Broly?”
“Yeah, yeah.” he says, the three of them all lifting off and flying towards Raven. Doubtlessly they’re going back to Dreadzone, getting preparations done there. Meanwhile you decide to check up on King Vegeta, using your Instant Transmission to visit him.

“Hey Karn.” he says, completely unsurprised as you instantly appear right beside him. “Felt your match, was that the Ginyu Force?”
“Yeah, they’re a lot stronger than I remember.” you say, seeing King Vegeta isn’t alone. “Oh, hey.”
“G-G-General Karn?” a timid-seeming Saiyan says, eyes wide. She’s sitting before several screens, displaying hundred lines of text you don’t even try to decipher. “G-Good to see you sir!”
“Hey, relax Beetz.” Vegeta says to her casually, then turning back to you. “So, what’s going on?”
“Just checking up on the preparations.” you say to him. “How’re we looking?”
“See for yourself.” he says, gesturing to the screens. “Our food stockpiles aren’t quite where we’ll need them for the coming war, but they’re on schedule.”
“I told you before, sir, that you’re going well-over what’ll be needed.” she says. “Battling the Covenant in the way you and Lord Freeza have planned, a year’s worth of consumable supplies will be more than enough.”
“Wait, what?” you say, looking between her and King Vegeta. She, she knows?
cont
>>
“Don’t worry Karn, of course she knows.” Vegeta says, you looking to him curiously. “You can’t prepare for a battle without your chief information officer being in-the-know, after all.”
“Speaking of, we have found them.” she says, four adjacent screens light up and change. You see what seems to be a giant mushroom in orbit around a gas giant, thousands of ships flying around it. “Gentlemen, I present to you: High Charity. The Covenant’s main city-base.”
“That’s it, huh?” Vegeta says, but you can’t look away. There they are, the bastards who tried to take everything from you. “One solid blast should take it out.”
“Not likely.” Beetz replies, the display changing. The visuals change, revealing a powerful energy shield enveloping the station. “Only Karn’s Dragon Force, maybe, can punch through that shield. It’s power output is far higher than even your Golden Oozaru form’s, my king.”

“No way...” you mutter. “It's that strong?”
“From what our scans show, yes.” she says. “The power output coming from that is-“

BZZZZZZZT

“Wait, what?” Vegeta says, suddenly concerned as the screens all are replaced by static. “What’s going on?”
“We suddenly lost connection.” Beetz says, fingers rapidly flying over the keys. “Either they deployed something that’s blocking our signal, or...”
“Or?” you ask, not sure you want the answer.
“Or they were destroyed.” she says, turning to you both worriedly. “If they attacked the Yautja, then the rest of our assets in Covenant space could be in trouble as well.”
“Dammit.” Vegeta says with a low growl. “Pull up the rest of them, see how the others are doing.”
“Yes sir.” she says, you taking a step back as Vegeta walks to her shoulder. They’re gonna be busy for awhile.

With Vegeta occupied trying to reach his spies, you doubt you’ll be able to get any more information from him. So you close your eyes, fingertips to your forehead, and once more use your Instant Transmission. Leaving the depths of Vegeta’s castle, you teleport on over to Raven’s island.

“Haaaa!” both young Tatsu and Tomi shout, slamming their dual-bladed weapons into each others’. But they don’t stop moving and try to simply overpower each other, instead you see them both spinning their weapons around their bodies in a flurry of blades and sparks. As the blades strike each other over and over again, it quickly becomes clear that they’re both holding back. Dancing around each other, and weaving complex patterns with the exotic weapons, they seem more focused on their own weapon than their opponent’s.
“Greetings, Karn.” Raven says, you turning to see New Salda’s Guardian hovering over the late Guardian’s favorite rock. But instead of it resting in the sand, that rock and several others engraved with ancient runes all are hovering around her. “What brings you over?”

“They do.” you say, gesturing to the twins. “I’m checking to see how everyone’s training is coming along. Speaking of, where’s Chilli? Isn’t he usually around here, practicing his magic?”
“Oh, you didn’t know?” she asks, and seeing your confusion quickly continues. “That girl, Megumin. Her rather ditzy friend showed up, and the three of them went to the girls’ homeworld.”
“He left?” you ask, shaking your head and asking a far more important question. “Did they say why they were going?”
“Something about Megumin’s father.” she says, shaking her head. “But I wasn’t paying too much attention to them, coaching Tatsu and Tomi on their Twinblade form as I am.”
“Understood.” you reply with a nod and a smile, before focusing on your telepathy. “Hey, Chilli? Can you hear me?”

“The Crimson Demon’s village is in a magically sealed space.” Raven replies, also telepathically. “Unless someone has explicit permission from the village chief, nothing can go in, or out. As long as he’s over there, we can’t reach out to him. However, since she opened her return portal here, I can reopen it for just a few moments. If you want to go, I can send you. But it’ll be a one-way trip; using the echoes of her spell would mean I can’t get you back here. One of the Crimson Demon mages would have to return you.”

“One moment.” you say, blitzing from her island back to your ship. You quickly strip out of the remains of your training suit, blasted by the Ginyu Force, and swiftly don your armor, ancient sword, and even grab your Gravity Hammer before using your Instant Transmission to return to Raven’s side. But as you arrive, you see a strange, golden portal opening up a few feet from her.
“Good luck.” she says, you nodding to her and sending a quick telepathic message to Meloka and letting her know what you’re doing, then step through. One moment you’re on the Guardian’s Island of New Salda, and the next you’re in a large crater in the middle of a vast forest. Or, rather, a few dozen feet above a crater, the damaged ground still slightly smoking. Dropping down to the ground, you clutch the hammer in both hands as you extend your ki sense. Immediately you sense several incredibly-powerful beings lurking in the forest nearby, but after a few seconds of searching and widening your range, you feel your son’s ki somewhere farther to the north. But before you can start making your way to him, you hear it:

https://youtube.com/watch?v=ZtArxeOQlf0

“GWRRROOOAAAAR!!” something roars, the ground beneath your feet trembling at the massive sound. You turn, as a monster shambles out of the forest. It’s a large, brown-furred and four-legged creature that’s easily dozens of times your own size. Which is all the more apparent when it stands up on it’s hind legs, and roars again.
“Alright, you wanna go?” you ask it, still holding your hammer. But as your grip tightens on it, you wonder if this weapon packs the needed punch to put something like this down? But before you can attack and find out, it lifts it’s right paw, claws glowing with power. You don’t sense it’s strength rising, but as it swipes down suddenly blades of red energy are cutting through the air right at you. “Woah!”

You narrowly dodge the five parallel blades, each of them slicing through the ground and off into the forest behind you.

“Magic. Great.” you say, the massive creature dropping back to all fours and studying you, seemingly confused that you dodged it’s attack.

But what do you do now?”

As it stands there, clearly puzzled, you seize the initiative. Dropping your hammer, you focus on the beast’s ki and use the Instant Transmission technique to teleport right behind it. Before it can figure out what happened, you grab it’s left leg with both hands.

“Hrrryaaaa!!” you roar, spinning and tossing it skyward. The beast roars out in confusion, it tumbling over and over as it soars higher and higher. Doubtlessly, such a massive beast had never been forcefully sent from the ground on a planet of such weaklings. As it roars in confusion you pull your right fist back, gathering your ki into an Energy Javelin. You take a moment to aim, making sure your attack will fly true, then launch it. Your lance of energy streaks into the sky, piercing all the way into the beast’s chest. It growls in pain, and then a moment later the monster’s entire torso explodes. It’s lower body, head and arms all drop back to the ground amid a fountain of gore, you turning to grab your hammer when you hear something else. Or rather, someone else.

“Woah! So cool!” you hear, turning and seeing a small child peering out from the forest. As soon as she sees you seeing her, she yelps in surprise and hides behind a tree at the edge of the clearing. But after a few seconds, she nervously peers out around it at you.
“Hey kid, it’s dangerous out here.” you say, taking a knee and holding out a hand. “You should probably go home.”
“I-I would.” she says, you seeing her eyes tearing up. “Bu-But I’m lost. I don’t know which way’s home. When I saw the Explosion, I thought big sis was finally back home. But by the time I got here, it was only you mister.”
“Your big sis?” you ask, realization dawning. “Her name wouldn’t happen to be Megumin, would it?”
“You know big sis?!” she asks, suddenly excited. “Wait, that means you’re a Saiyayan! Like that cool guy Chilli she’s always talkin! about!”
“Not quite.” you say with a chuckle. “I’m Chilli’s dad. My name’s-“
“Chilli’s Dad! So cool!” she says, speaking over your name. She’s completely unafraid of you now

“I know.” you say, an idea forming. “How about I take you with me? I’m going to find Chilli now, perhaps Megumin is with him?”
“Really?” she asks, clearly excited by the idea. But before you can answer, the young girl’s stomach growls audibly. She clutches her own gut, dropping down to her knees. “Oooh, so hungry!”
“Here, I’ll fix that.” you say, walking over to the beast’s corpse. Finding one of it’s powerfully-muscled arms, you stomp it’s hand off and sever it at the elbow. That done you gather your ki into a hand, pointing it at the arm. She looks to you curiously, you firing the ki at it. Your blast scorches the fur off the meat, thoroughly cooking it. Lifting and sniffing the meat, it smells pretty good so you take a bite out of the giant bicep. “Ahh, good. C’mere kid, have a bite.”

“A-Are you sure?” she asks, drooling as she walks over as if in a daze. You hold it down towards her, the young girl opening her mouth wide and chomping down on the cooked forearm. She tears off a mouthful, eyes widening in surprise. She chews it as fast as she can, then takes another and another bite. “Fa’s drricious!!”
“Right?” you reply, chuckling as the child chows down with a voracious, Saiyan-like appetite. But after a few moments, you realize she’s already cleaned a whole lot of meat off of it. You begin chowing down as well, and within a few minutes the two of you have it cleaned down to the bone. “Ahh, that was good.”
“Where’d you learn to cook?” she asks excitedly. “You’re almost as good as my mom!”
“Really?” you ask, holding a hand down to her. “You ready to go?”
“I dunno.” she says, sitting down and sighing out. “I’ve never been full like this, I don’t think I can walk.”

“Well, it’s a good thing we don’t have to walk.” you say, holding a hand down to her. “What do you say, want to fly?”
“You can fly?!” she asks, instantly back to her feet. “Really? Hurry hurry, let’s go!”
“Alright, here.” you say, picking her up and setting her on your right shoulder. “Hang on tight, okay?”
“Okay!” she shouts excitedly, you gently lifting up into the air. “Wooooaaaaah! So cooool!”
“You think that’s cool?” you ask, smirking. With another moment of focus, you feel Chilli’s ki is still far to the north. You turn to face his energy, and slowly start drifting towards him. “Hang on.”
“Oooooh! Wooooaaah!” she says, eyes darting all around as she tries to take it all in. You fly above the trees, seeing the snow-covered mountains in the distance. As you fly, you keep checking on the little girl you’re carrying to make sure she doesn’t fly off. But she’s laced her fingers into your armor’s shoulder strap, holding on tight. Thankfully she’s not going anywhere.

“So, you’re Megumin’s sister right?” you ask her, having to repeat the question for her to hear you. “What’s your name?”
“I’m known as Komekko!” she says with a smile. “The foremost loveable little sister among the Crimson Demons!”
“Well, Komekko, it’s good to see you.” you say. “So, do you do magic like your sister too?”
“Yeah!” she says with an excited shout. “One day, I’ll be super strong like our Village Chief, Chief Hiropon!”
“I see.” you say, curious. But that can wait, as you’re getting close to your son’s ki. “Alright, we’ve almost found them. Keep your eyes out, and we’ll-“

BOOM

“That’s it!” she shouts, pointing down at the sudden, massive explosion. “That’s big sis’s Explosion!”
“Then let’s get down there.” you say, dropping down towards the ground. “They may neen my help.”
“And mine too!” she says, sounding excited but determined. You drop down into the trees, seeing your son and his friend Megumin both pointing their staves at the explosion. But as you drop down, you see a massive metal leg stepping out of the blast.
“What?!” you hear Megumin shout, as another and another leg stomps out. “No way!”
“Get down!” Chilli shouts, shoving her aside as a beam of magical energy blasts out of the explosion cloud towards them. Your son saves the magical girl, taking the blast head-on.

“CHILLI!!” Megumin shouts, turning as he’s blasted away. But then she sees you and Komekko, even more surprised. “Karn? Wait, Komekko?”
“Big sis!” she shouts, leaping down from your shoulder and rushing over to her sister.
“What are you doing here?” Megumin shouts, damn near a panic as her sister hugs her. “You gotta get outta here!”
“Dad? How’d you get here?” Chilli asks you, your son more surprised at you than being shot by the massive being. But as it takes another stomping step forward he shakes his head, focusing back on it. “Never mind that, I gotta take this thing down.”
“What is it?” you ask, Megumin answering with a mixture of awe and fear.
“The Destroyer.”

“Look out!” Chilli shouts, thrusting his dagger into the ground and conjuring a wall of crystal between the four of you and the so-called Destroyer. And not a moment too soon, as you hear the attacking monster firing another powerful beam. His crystals stop the attack, deflecting it straight up into the air. “This thing’s tough, this is the third Explosion we’ve hit it with.”
“The third?” Komekko says, shocked. “It took three whole Explosions?”
“The mobile fortress, Destroyer, has incredibly strong magical resistances.” Chilli says, leading the four of you further back from his wall. Within ten seconds the machine stomps through it, as if it isn’t even there. “And I can't even get close to it, that thing has a bunch of golems firing lasers at anything that flies near it.”

"Sounds like a tough opponent you’ve gotten yourself here.” you say, both Megumin and Komekko looking to you confused at how calm you are. “You have a plan for taking this thing down?”
“Maybe.” he says, the eight legs of the spider-like machine churning the forest as it continues forward. “But I may have to go all-out to put this thing down for good. Unless you’re gonna step in and fight it too?”

But as he says this, you get the feeling that your boy wants to destroy this thing himself. You know he won’t say no to your help, if you offer, but clearly thinks this is his fight.

Well, what will you do?
>Ask him what he wants you to do, this is his fight after all
>Rush the massive creature yourself, tell Chilli you’ll buy him some time to prepare to take it down himself

“This is your fight, not mine.” you tell him, crossing your arms and leaning back against a tree. “If you need my help, I’m here. But I’m sure you can take this pile of scraps.”
“Right!” he says, your confidence in him boosting his own. “C’mon Megu, let’s do this!”
“R-Right!” she says, then turns to her little sister. “Stay here with Karn, okay? He’ll protect you.”
“Oookay!” Komekko says, sounding excited as she runs back over to you then turns around to face her again. “You can do it, big sis!”
“Hmph! We won’t lose!” she says confidently, Megumin strutting up beside your son. “You ready?”
“Of course. Let’s go!” he shouts, crystals growing from his dagger and shaping themselves into a staff almost identical to Megumin’s. Striking identical poses, Chilli and Megumin raise their staves, several magical circles springing out around them.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=ERKnkHq-6XA

“We areChilli and Megumin, the strongest mages of the Saiyans and Crimson Demons!” they chant in sync, the Destroyer charging towards them without slowing. You pick up the small Crimson Demon child, setting her on your shoulder and backing up. “United in our desire for destruction, our wrath shall become manifest! Burst forth, EXPLOSION!!”

BOOM

Their combined magic bursts forth in a massive explosion, slamming into the mechanical spider hard enough to stop it in it’s tracks. Their attack ends after a few moments, the children watching as the machine doesn’t immediately start moving again.

“They got it!” Komekko says, but suddenly it begins moving again. “Wh-What?”
“It’s not done yet.” you say, the Destroyer once more moving towards them. “It seems to be even sturdier than they thou-”
“EXPLOSION!!” they shout out again, this time unleashing an even more massive blast. “EXPLOSION! EXPLOOOSION!!”

Blast after powerful blast slams against the mechanical terror, each one more powerful than the last. After the fifth one, the machine’s legs finally gives out and it falls to the ground.

“YAAAAY!” Komekko shouts, throwing her arms up. “They did it!”

But you’re not so sure, something tells you it isn’t quite over yet. But from the damage to it’s legs, there’s no way it’s getting up again.

But what do you do now?

“You two should probably get back.” you call down to them. “Something’s wrong, it’s not done yet.”
“Huh?” Megumin asks you, confused. “What do you mea-Wait. Chilli, do you feel that?”
“Yeah.” your son says, staring at the fallen machine. After a moment you begin to hear something, like a low hum. You all turn to the mechanical monster, seeing it’s dark metal beginning to glow red.
“Well, that’s no good.” you say, the humming growing louder and louder. “It looks almost like-“
“A self-destruct!” Megumin says, worriedly turning to Chilli. “We gotta get in there, my dad’s still in there!”
“Wait, what?” you ask, but Chilli doesn’t wait.

“Watch them for me!” your son shouts, transforming into a Super Saiyan and blasting off. Before you, Megumin, or anyone else can react he explodes off the ground, dashing over to the metal fortress.
“Chilli, wait!” she shouts after him, you turning to her.
“Your father?” you ask, Megumin turning to you and looking worried. “How’d he get on there?”
“Destroya’ was coming by, an’ daddy wanted to get supplies.” Komekko says, as if that explains everything.
“My father is the owner of the Crimson Demon’s premier magic item shop.” Megumin explains, filling in more information. “And since the Destroyer was built by an ancient, extinct civilization, he thought he could get valuable supplies from inside it. But somehow he got trapped inside it, and couldn’t get back out. So Yunyun told us what happened, and we headed right on over.”

“I found your dad, Megu.” Chilli thinks out to you and Megumin. “But we can’t get out, not yet.”
“Why not?” she asks, you simply listening in. “It’s gonna blow any minute!”
“The core’s overheating.” Chilli replies, as if relaying information he’s being told. “If we don’t do something about this, and soon, the Coronatite core will explode.”
“What can we do?” Megumin asks, clearly worried. Chilli doesn’t immediately respond, clearly not knowing what to do.

“What do you need me to do?” you think back to him. “This is your mission son, I’ll help you however I can.”
“I can’t break it free.” he tells you, you feeling his frustration through the telepathic link. “No matter what I try, I can’t break it out! Hyoizaburoo says he can siphon off it’s destructive potential if I break it free, but I can’t do it! I need your help!”
“I’m there.” you reply, setting Komekko down then using Instant Transmission to appear right by your son. And he’s not alone, an older man with a patwork cape similar in design to Megumin’s. And between them is a large, clear cylinder with a glowing sphere floating in it. “This it?”
“Yeah, I can’t break through.” Chilli says, you seeing several shattered, discarded crystals from his dagger laying about. “We’re running out of time. Hurry!”

“Stand back.” you say, planting your feet and unslinging your Gravity Hammer. “HRRRAAAA!!”

You swing with all your transformed might, but despite being in your Berserker form, you don’t even so much as scratch the clear material. Your hammer bounces off with so much force that it’s torn from your hands, narrowly missing your son who dodges it.

“Woah!” he shouts in surprise, your weapon slamming so hard into the far wall it gets embedded. “Careful Dad, it reflects force!”
“You coulda told me that before.” you say, rubbing your wrist. Well, brute force won’t work. But what about piercing it? You unsheathe your Wolf Knight Sword, it growing to match your Berserker size. But before you can prepare, Megumin’s dad Hyoizaburoo rushes up to you, inspecting the blade.
“Such a magnificent work of craftsmanship!” she says, peering closely at the designs on the crossguard. “And this magic is well-done, nay, flawless! This enchantment could last a thousan-!”
“Hey, can you back up?” you ask him, clutching the sword in both hands. “I’ll let you look at it once this is over, for now focus on the goal!”
“Right, my apologies.” he says, bowing and backing up closer to your son, who’s still trying to free your hammer. “Carry on.”

“Alright.” you say, as you begin focusing your ki into the ancient blade. “Let’s do this.”

You begin gathering your ki, focusing your power into the ancient blade. Your green aura quickly fades, the Wolf Knight Sword radiating with a soft blue light. Your power continues to swell, you aiming the ancient blade at the cylinder, just below the glowing orb.

“Wait.” Bane suddenly says, his phantom form appearing beside you. “If you try and attack it like that, it’ll kill you.”
“Then what do I do?” you reply, a low growl escaping your throat.
“Press the sword to it, gently.” he says activating his own energy blade and demonstrating. He presses the tip of the sword to the magically-armored glass, then slowly begins shoving the blade into it. “Like this.”
“Alright.” you sigh out, Bane vanishing as you copy his instructions. You gently touch the sword’s tip to it, then slowly begin pressing it in. And surprisingly it cuts through, your energy-enshrouded sword cutting through this magical material with ease. Seeing this, you begin cutting a hole through it, lifting into the air and trying to cut a circle opening. But as you do, suddenly a wave of magical power overwhelms you. “GYAAAH!!”

“DAD!!” Chilli shouts, but before he can do anything, you’ve had it. Pulling your sword free you toss it aside, digging your hands into the opening and tearing it wide open with a primal roar.
“GRRRAAAA!! Hurry!!” you shout, the heat from the magical fortress’s core painfully scorching your body. But suddenly a golden crystal reaches past you, your eyes widening as a golem made of some golden crystal reaches through the opening you’ve made and grabs the core. As it does, the heat and pressure suddenly disappears as if it never was. “Huh? Wait, Chilli?”

But your son, inside his large crystal form turns to the other wizard, who immediately begins chanting and holding his hands out towards it. You release what you’re holding, seeing several magical circles surrounding the two of them. And then, suddenly, they vanish!

“Chilli!” you shout, as both your son and Hyoizaburoo are simply gone. This can’t be good.

“While I appreciate the term, I feel I’m only holding onto the title until your return.” your former subordinate of the Imperial 203rd Air Mage Battalion replies with his own salute, several of your other former subordinates saluting as well. Upon seeing their familiar faces you allow yourself to crack a small smile, one which Lt. Serebryakov, nicknamed Visha, returns with zero hesitation. “You seem to be doing well.”
“As are you.” you reply, then address everyone. “Come in, please. There is much for us to discuss.”

You are Major Tanya Degurechaff, former commander of the 203rs Air Mage Battalion, Dreadzone Exterminator, and now vice-general in Gleeman Vox’s brand-new mechanical military. After you and Chaya, Saiyan warrioress and current Champion learned of the coming war and your parts in it, you had sent a formal request home to have several of your former subordinates sent to aid you. A request which, after speaking with General Rudersdorf and General Zettor, was approved. Now, seven months later, they’re finally here. So you lead them all into your quarters on Dreadzone Station, the five of them looking around in awe.

“Woah! This is all yours?” Visha asks, not even looking at you. “What do you do with so much room?”
“I’m almost never here, so I haven’t had chairs brought in for you all.” you say, the five of them(Weiss, Grantz, Serebryakov, Neumann, and Koenig) all dutifully standing at attention as you begin to speak. Noticing this you signal them to be at ease, continuing onto the topic at hand. “Now, as I’m sure you’re all aware, there’s a war brewing. You all are no strangers to war, yet this conflict will be on a scale you’ve never seen. This will be a genocide, an extermination that spans solar systems.”

“E-Extermination?” Lt. Serebryakov asks, concerned. “Genocide?”
“That is correct.” you say, pressing a button on your handheld remote, the recorded image of a Hive drone appearing behind you as you study your five most-trusted subordinates’ expressions. There’s no flash of recognition in their eyes, you releasing an internal sigh of relief. Thankfully they hadn’t yet spread as far as your home world, but it’s only a matter of time if they aren’t stopped. “Gentlemen. This is our enemy.”
>>

“A...bug?” Weiss asks, your second-in-command clearly confused. Knowing they don’t truly understand what they’re about to fight, you click the next button on your remote. The image changes, showing security footage of the curious Joseph Joestar’s ship, the CAESER II. Your soldiers witness the bug-like Hive creatures attacking Karn and his daughter, along with the old man himself and his fellows.
“No way.” Koenig says, Neumann looking like he’ll be sick as the creatures’ acidic blood melts through the ship’s interior.
“So they have razor-sharp claws, move so fast they appear as a blur, and their blood can melt through steel.” Weiss says aftet studying them. He was always a quick one, able to pinpoint weaknesses in the enemy’s defenses. “No offense Major, but we’re only human. Even with our upgraded Operation Orbs, the Elenium Type 101, they’re not something we’ll be able to beat ourselves. You’re the only other one I’ve ever seen move that fast, before the aliens arrived anyways.”

“You won’t be fighting them alone.” you say, snapping your fingers. And suddenly, two dozen of your special, mechanical Dreadzone soldiers all appear at once. To your former subordinates’ credit they move instantly, each one drawing their rifle and forming a defensive circle, protecting each others’ backs. “Gentlemen, meet the newest model imperial soldiers.”
“Wait, model?” Grantz asks, glancing to you as your mechanical soldiers still haven’t moved. But instead of answering with words you walk over to the nearest one, throwing it’s black coat wide. And instead of a uniform, or a living body, you reveal the soldier’s mechanical insides. “Woah!”
“They’re...Not alive?” Lt. Serebryakov asks you, finger to her chin and head tilted in confusion. “Machine people?”

“Precisely, lieutenant.” you say, nodding in approval then ordering the soldier to fix it’s uniform. “We humans, made of fragile living tissue, aren’t suited to doing battle with these monsters. But that doesn’t mean we can’t exterminate them.”
“So, you brought us in to be subordinate commanders for you?” Weiss asks, having already gone down the train of logic.
“Exactly.” you say, thankful for his sharp mind. But after witnessing the Hive close-up, you feel another demonstration is in order. “But to display these soldiers’ capabilities, I’ll need a volunteer. No need to be afraid, they’re under strict orders not to kill any of you.”
“That’s a relief.” Grantz sighs out, your finger snapping to point at him.
“And we have our volunteer!” you say with a grin, the blonde-headed soldier realizing what just happened and sighing again. “Lt. Grantz, step forward, if you would.”
>>

“Yes sir!” he says after a moment’s hesitation, you noticing his indecision. Seems that discipline has slipped a few notches in your absence.
“Alright, you.” you say, pointing to one of the soldiers. “When I count to three, subdue Lt. Grantz here. Lethal force is not authorized, neither are serious injuries.”
“Sir!” your mechanical soldier says, slinging it’s weapon over a shoulder and taking the traditional Imperial cqc stance. Grantz, to his credit doesn’t hesitate this time, assuming an identical fighting stance. But after all your time with the Saiyans, you notice the difference immediately. Grantz seems uncertain in his stance, as if he hasn’t been practicing his hand-to-hand. Meanwhile your mechanical soldier’s stance is perfect, no openings left in its guard.

“One. Two.” you say, raising your right arm, then throwing it down. “Three!”

And before Grantz, or any of your former subordinates can react, Grantz is pinned. One moment they were both standing, the next your machine is on top of him, both of his arms torqued painfully behind his back with a metal knee digging in to his spine painfully.

“GAH!” he shouts in pain. “I give, I give! Call it off!”
“Woah!” Lt. Serebryakov says, clearly shocked.
“I didn’t see anything.” Weiss says, despite trying to maintain composure
“I-Impossible!” Koenig says, taking an unconscious step backwards.
“No way.” Neumann says, too stunned to move.

“That’s enough, let him up.” you order, your machine soldier immediately letting go of him and rising back to it’s feet. Serebryakov rushes over to Grantz’s side, the two seeming far closer than you remember them being.
“Are you okay?” she asks, Grantz graciously accepting her help to rise back to his feet.
“Yeah, thanks.” he says, then turns to you curiously. “Could you follow that?”
“Of course not.” you reply with a scoff. “But even from over here I saw openings in your guard. And I had these soldiers all programmed with the best of our Imperial techniques. In short, each one of these soldiers is as trained as the best Imperial soldier, and far more deadly than nearly any human. Leading them into battle, there’s no way we can lose. Especially with the Champion on our side.”
“The Champion?” they all ask simultaneously. And almost as if on-cue, the door opens.

“Heeeey, we’re here!” Chaya calls out, you seeing the Champion flanked by her brother Broly, and her older friend Raditz. All three are wearing their armor, but between the young man Raditz and Broly’s green-haired form, she looks even smaller than usual. Ignoring the others she walks up to you first, eyes sparkling with excitement. “Tanya, you really missed it this morning! The Ginyu Force fought with my dad, it was amazing!”
>>

“There’s no way he lost that.” you say as Chaya comes right up to you, the boys following her almost like bodyguards. “They’re good, but nowhere near strong enough for him.”
“Of course, it’s MY daddy we’re talking about here. He doesn’t lose.” she says, then turning and taking in the five of your soldiers as if she hadn’t yet noticed them. “Oh, hey. These the guys?”
“Yes, they’re my elites.” you reply, turning to your former soldiers. “Gentlemen, and Serebryakov; this is Chaya. Reigning champion of Dreadzone, and daughter of the General Karn himself.”
“Champion?” Neumann asks, sharing a skeptical glance with Koenig before addressing her. “So you’re even stronger than the Major here?”
“Of course.” Chaya replies, then smugly adds. “I could take all of you myself, without transforming.”
“I believe another demonstration is in order.” you say, pointing to the soldier who pinned Grantz. “You. Table.”

And as soon as the words are out of your mouth the mechanical soldier moves, going down on all fours next to you. Chaya then sits down on one side of the machine man, casually resting her right elbow on his back.

“What do you say, boys?” you ask, grinning. “Want to take on a universe-wide champion?”
“Arm wrestling, huh?” Weiss says, Grantz wisely keeping quiet and trying to avoid being noticed. “Hrmm. Not a contest of speed, but raw power? Very well, I’ll volunteer.”
“You go commander!” Neumann cheers Weiss on as the large man sits down across from Chaya. If you didn’t know how powerful Chaya was, this would be comical. But knowing how much stronger she is than him, it’s even funnier. “Try not to hurt her!”
“Go easy on her Major!” Koenig says, but Serebryakov doesn’t say anything. She and Grantz both look on worriedly, doubtless concerned about the ‘little girl’ before them. But Weiss doesn’t crack a smile, studying Chaya’s face intensely.

“You are a warrior.” Weiss says, surprising all your people present before setting his own arm down, taking a relaxed but firm grip on her hand. “I won’t take you lightly. What did you say your name was again?”
“Chaya.” she says, smirking. “And I’ll make sure you don’t forget it.”

“Alright, don’t start until I give the signal.” you say, again raising your arm. “On the count of three. One, two... Three!”
“Hrrmmm!” Weiss grunts as he tries to move Chaya’s arm. But despite him visibly straining, veins bulging on his forehead after a few seconds but the young Saiyan’s arm doesn’t budge. “Huh?”
“Well, let me know when you’re ready to start.” Chaya says, looking away from him and turning to you. The shock on his face is priceless, Chaya ignoring his best efforts to move your arm. “So, these five are all you brought? My baby sister’s stronger than them.”
>>
>>4197504
“I didn’t bring them for their physical prowess.” you say, watching as Weiss switches to both arms and tries to pull Chaya’s one arm down. But she doesn’t even notice, focused as she is on you. “But for their minds. We can’t control hundreds of millions of the war machines by ourselves, we need a clear command structure. And while our robots are efficient, they aren’t thinkers. We’ll need strategists to oversee the operations on several planets simultaneously.”

“Oh, I see.” she says, nodding to you before turning back to Weiss; who’s now throwing his entire body weight into her arm yet still not budging her. Or, more specifically, she’s addressing the rest of them. “Are you guys gonna help your commander here? Or just leave him out to dry?”

Neumann and Koenig look to each other, nodding and moving in to help. Grantz and Serebryakov mirror them, all five now grabbing onto Chaya’s arm. You can barely stifle a grin, seeing four men and Visha all trying to move a single child’s arm.

“This is pointless.” the long-haired young Saiyan man that’s been hanging around Chaya more recenty, Raditz, says after a few moments watching this. “A hundred of them couldn’t budge her. “Hell, even a thousand couldn’t.”
“I hope they’re as good as you say.” Broly says, and despite being in a transformation called ‘Berserker’, is perfectly calm. Almost seeming bored with this. “Because a single Hiveling could kill the lot of them.”
“They may not be strong, but our gear is the ticket.” you say, gesturing over to your flight gear all sitting out from your cleaning earlier. “Suited up, they’ll be fast enough to avoid most danger. At least long enough to get support.”

“Hmph. If only all battles were so easy.” Raditz says, crossing his arms and watching the five of them with contempt. And you have to admit, that after spending so much time around the Saiyans, the five of your most-trusted subordinates don’t make a good first impression. Especially as the five of them fail to budge a fourteen year old girl.

“Is this all you’ve got?” Chaya teases, slowly lowering her arm. And despite their best efforts, the five of them can’t even slow her down. “C’mon, my baby sister can push harder than this.”
“D-Dammit!” the usually-stoic Weiss seethes, wincing as Chaya pulls all their arms down against the ‘table’ together. “Well, I admit defeat. You’re certainly powerful, Chaya.”
“Thanks!” she says with a smile, rising and turning back to you as the four grown men all take a moment to massage their bruised egos. “So, you gonna get them all geared up and out to the training zone?”
“That’s the plan.” you say, Chaya nodding to you before turning to them again.
“Well, good luck you guys!” she says, smiling as if she didn’t just embarass them all. “I look forward to working with all of you!”
