A reboot of the last, abandoned thread.

>The Rules
>You wake up on the beach of a desert island, with a strong headache. You only vaguely remember that you were searching for an item called the "Staff of Nyarlathotep". There is nothing but the sea, the beach, and a tropical jungle. A few different people are around you. A third instinct tells you that those people are your enemies, and that your goal is to murder them.
>You have no item or weapon on you, only your clothes and nothing else.
>You have 3 personal actions every turn. For every action you roll 1d6, 1 is crit fail, 2 is failure, 3 is partial success, 4 is success, 5 is major success, 6 is overshot, (so good something bad happens)

If you're interested in playing make a character and get a trip. I'll start when there's three but there's no player limit.

First Turn

>>4187386
>[6]
The jungle is dark, lush and vast. There are no nearby landmarks to help you track your course: you're merely lost in the jungle, lost in time. You feel as in a trance, walking with an unknown sense of purpose. The jungle continues to grow and surround you, engulfing everything you see. You find an ancient stepped temple, sprawling with the flora and fauna that has given it form. Above the gateway is a symbol of an inverted ankh, which from your studies you recognize as the symbol of Nyarlathotep. In the entire island, an almost inaudible, and indescrible sound is heard.

>>4187398
>[4]
[Lesser Magic] A black sphere rises from your hand; inside of it is are laws of mathematics and geometry that are completely different from our own. Dots of lights spread through the four directions and immediately, a large dome of sandstone comes out of the ground and traps everyone under it. (Radius of 25 meters). The entity known as Readryth is pushed face down in the sand, and you can see him cough.

>[2]
You find nothing of note around the beach.

>[3]
You begin exploring the jungle. You hear a faint, indescrible sound, and you feel the presence of a predatory entity. You explore further, and discover a number of dead bodies of monkeys piled in a circle around a large, charred corpse.

>>4187422
>[1]
You are trapped under Imhotepkemet's dome of sandstone. It is dark. You find nothing of note.

(Other actions cancelled)

>>4187460
You cannot change your abilities. Wormhole doors remain as you first described.

>[3]
You are trapped under Imhotepkemet's dome of sandstone. It is dark, but darkness is your element and your home. You identify Readryth Bardeinam Qerel, a hybrid abomination from which emanates an aura of eldritch magic.

[Open Portals] You summon what could be described as a large tentacle. Alas! you are not in control of the otherworldly magic. It extends, slides in and tears open your asshole. >[6]
[Breath] You imbue your attacks with the elements of plasma and destroy the wall of the structure. The roof crumbles. The adrenaline pumps through your body. You roll outside of it, but your new ally Gob gets trapped under the stone.

>[3]
You find no rock, but a few small pebbles, that perhaps could be used as a weapon.

>>4187772
You are crushed and trapped under the crumbled dome.

>You lose your turn
>You will now suffer a -1 penalty on all rolls until you are healed

>>4187792
>[6]
Under the charred corpse, you find a jade statuette of a deformed monkey with glowing eyes. The symbol of a reversed ankh is engraved on its torso. Its back is inscribed with what seems to be a long, livid language. When you touch the statuette, you remember a few verse that you had read in a long forgotten text.

"That which lies in the depths of horror,
Only one thing is more maddening,
The man-ape who was born of Her womb."

>[2]
Incineration charms do not seem to help. The jungle only regrows thicker.

>[1]
Your alien mind reaches fields beyond even your comprehension. It gets lost in abstract and cursed symbols, mixed with images of the statuette and its accursed birth. You scream.

I'm using the d100's with Mythic RPG to help me QM with this thread, for when I have to take decisions that are outside the system defined in the OP. As in the Grimdark Mythic Quest https://archived.moe/qst/thread/3988301. For example, I ruled that Gob could not change his Wormhole Doors ability using Mythic.

[Mold Flesh] Due to the deep psychological effect of being tentacle'd, you can't heal your wounds. In fact, the situation gets worse, and you cause permanent, irreversible damage to your asshole. You do not feel very sane anymore.

>[6] - 2 = 4
The gateway leads to an underground complex of caverns. You crawl down the stairs, leaving behind you a trail of blood and entrails coming out of your crusty, prolapsed asshole. You regenerate yourself continuously to make up for the blood loss, barely holding it together. You crawl aimlessly through the cavern until you find a giant door, with a grotesque, malignant monkey painted on it.

>>4187975
[4] x 2, [6]
You carefully melt all the sandstone until you reach your ally, making sure that you do not hurt him. You push Gob's joints back together, which makes him groan a bit. He stands back up slowly. He moves his limbs around to test if he's OK. He thanks you and then walks toward the jungle.

You cannot create the shadow.

[1]

A: Yes
Roll: 14, 70
A: Abandon, Extravagance
small animals
Q: What hint related to the Staff does he find?
Rolls: 90, 88
A: Failure of Illusion

>[5]
It seems that all the bigger animals have been killed off by a predator, but the smaller animals, squirrels, birds, have been left alone.

>[5]
[Dark Plague] Your disease spreads rapidly and infects everything, including part of the vegetation. The process of turning everything into a shadow has begun. You become faintly aware of the presence of your minions and their thirst for life slowly extinguishing.

>[4]
You do not *find* anything, but as you are walking in this jungle, you are getting short but vivid visions of a swirling chaos that you recognize as Nyarlathotep's original form, and a deformed screaming monkey. You suspect that something is manipulating your mind in order to show you something you wouldn't normally see. Regardless, you feel that the link between the monkey and the island is important.

>>4189218
>[2]
You explore further, but there doesn't seem to be much of anything.

>[5]
[Greater Magic] You successfully manipulate the dirt and leave lethal devices all over the place, taking inspiration from the wheeled abomination of the Demiurge, the ophanim and galgalim, the chaotic realms and abnormal dimensions that can be only by a mind of both absurdly high intelligence and madness. You worst machine looks a lot like a series of wheels, a pair of churning arms and a battered gear system, buried underground and that traps anyone who has the misfortune of walking over them.

>[2]
The creation of an usable tin foil hat fails, however. As you were still thinking about traps, you created a teethed hat that tried to suck the juices out of your brain. You dumped this hat on the floor, leaving it behind as another trap.

A: Neglect, Reality
Trapped into another reality

>[3]
[Deadeye] You hit all of the birds in the head. Some of the bird's skulls explode on impact, and they remaining birds fly away far from you.

>[3]
Finding Imhotepkemet is not that hard, since he's left traps all over the place. Many traps are buried underground and sensitive to the tension caused by your body weight. You find yourself surrounded by giant, spinning wheels, that turns very fast. You are trapped and cannot get out of them without dying. They create a swirling vortex that throws you to a pocket dimension that looks like empty space.

>[5]
Inside of Imhotepkemet's pocket dimension, you have time to remember being an extra-dimensional eldritch horror, and brainwashing cultists to summon you to Earth. You were searching for a sort of orb, but your memories are fuzzy and you do not remember more. You remember finding out that a book titled "The Necronomicon" contained hidden clues about the orb. You never found the Necronomicon, but you found another strange book, with the phrase "A hero is born" written on the first page. You cannot remember anything else useful.

[Dark Illusions] Fail

The ethereal jungle, its magnificent darkness, the sounds of its tropical flora and fauna, are your home. The visions keep getting stronger. You learn that the monkey is the god of this island, that he's a cultist of Nyarlathotep, and that the Staff is his. Knowing this, you know more than anyone else.

>[5]
You keep walking, and find a floating ophanim demoniac structure, with Readryth inside of it. He looks at you with glassy eyes and screams. The structure is a temporary bridge between the demon's world and ours. It's dangerous, but you touch the spinning wheels and they stop. You don't know what happened to him, but Readryth is gone.

You go back to the forest.

And you lay more devilish traps in a circle all around the temple, linked together with black magic. Some of the traps are flying around high in the sky, so that the winged creature you had seen in the beach can't go through either. The temples is now all yours. It's impossible for anyone to go through the traps, even yourself.

Sixth turn
>Next turn in 4 hours, will extend if no one posts

>>4189945
>[2], [4], [6] = [6] (no critical failure)
Due to having a clear mental picture of your ally and savior Readryth, you can accurately send your minions after him. Many of them die in the devilish traps laid everyhwere in the jungle, but a few of them manage to go deep enough that they find the location of the dangerous Temple of Nyarlathotep, where Readryth is engaged in a brutal fight with the evil and alien mastermind Imhotepkemet.

>>4189959
>As you are directly attacking Imhotepkemet with ranged weapons and he's fleeing, it is clear that you have initiative, so I will process your actions first, despite him posting first.

>[5]
The alien wizard is not used to direct confrontation. A mere pebble thrown on his foot makes his flesh explode. He falls on the floor.

>[6]
[Deadeye] You find that his weak point is his eyes. You accurately throw rocks into them and make them explode worse than his foot exploded. Goo is flying everywhere. Before the fight started, the ground was already soaked with Ish'Baal's blood, but it is now marred with large, angular splotches that seem to be blood blotches.
>Imhotepkemet takes -2 dmg and is blinded

>[3]
Dodging traps that are buried underground is near impossible. Your foot gets stuck in a teethed tin-foil hat; while ridiculous looking, it is actually effficient. You try to flee, but another trap springs with a click, and gets you stuck floating one meter above ground into a non-euclidian energy field, where you get electrocuted. This electrocution does not hurt you, but keeps you semi-paralyzed.

>>4189915
[3] - 2 -2 dmg taken above
You fail to run away. Readryth has knocked you down and blinded you.
>Other actions are lost

Mythic roll
Q: Despite Father Arkham not rolling, do I give him an action?
Odds: 50/50
Roll: 31
A: Yes

>You forgot to roll for your action, but you get your introduction scene

[Weird Ball] A strange, floating ball appears from the sea and arrives on the beach of the horror island. It is not a cute little will-o'-wisp but an eldritch abomination. Everyone has left to explore the jungle, only the strange hominid Visor is left on the beach. He looks at the floating ball, and it's weird appearance immediately makes him mad.
>>
Here's a recap of all the players.

>Ish' Baal (human occultist)
Ish'Baal is before Nyarlathotep's door, but critically wounded. He stays alive by constantly regenerating himself. It seems that he has gone insane and lost his mind.

>Gob, Duke of Darkness (black humanoid)
Gob is hanging out in the jungle. He's dominating the environment and has successfully spread his dark plague everywhere.

>Imhotepkemet (alien wizard)
Imhotepkemet has found the Temple of Nyarlathotep. His traps are everywhere and unavoidable. But Readryth has critically damaged and blinded him.

>Readryth Bardeinam Qerel (winged, snaked hybrid)
Readryth is fighting Imhotepkemet. He's currently trapped in an energy field.

>Father Arkham (floating ball)
Father Arkham has just made his appearance at the beach.

>Visor (hominid)
Visor has failed to roll for his first action. Because of this, he's been on the beach the whole time. The sight of Father Akham made him immediately mad.

Using the first 4 rolls as a GET in the /pol/ archive to define the augmentic replacement
https://archive.4plebs.org/pol/thread/98834358/#98835090
"They're pretty much robots, like computers following a program because they can't think for themselves "

>[2]
The crafting of a vision augmentic does not work.

>[4]
Your augmentic replacements are small nanorobots that wrap around your feet and replaced the damage tissues, following a script defined in your brain by an independent thread (of thoughts), while your main threads are working on solving your other issues. Your emotional center feels a concentrated surge of frustration at the primitive way that you've been blinded. Yes, you, the incredibly intelligent wizard, was blinded by a literal ape throwing rocks and sticks at you.

>[3]
From the rocks and sticks, you craft a bullet-proof, genetically-engineered space archnid silk body armor. That is, you turn the vile apish weapons into an armor of utmost refinement. While extremely solid, its failure is that it is full of holes.

>>4191275
>[2]
You *know* where the temple is, but getting there is another story. The jungle is dark and monotone, and after walking around for fifteen minutes, the telepathic presence of your minions warn you that you have been, in fact, walking in a circle. This is actually a common occurence when walking in an environment devoid of landmarks.

>[5]
Since the surrounding area is the starting area, it is already infected.

>[3]
I'm not using your roll for this >>4191317
Imhotepkemet's defensive traps are absolutely impenetrable. It is absolutely impossible to go through them, even for him. Your minions are all frozen, burned, vaporized, blown, mutilated and teleportated to pocket dimensions by Imhotepkemet's traps.

>Ok now, serious question, does the temple have d o o r s? Like, more than one
This will be answered when/if you actually get to the temple.

Mythic rolls
Q: What is the second trap?
Rolls: 11, 61
A: Persecute of Death
Death magic
Let's make him roll for survival

>[5]
You throw rocks, sticks and dried poo at the trap, while hooting and grunting. The traps breaks down and you fall on the floor.

>[1]
However, you fall into an even worse trap, that was buried under the first one. Imhotepkemet has made several layers of traps specifically so that they cannot be disarmed, and the deeper they are, the worse. This new trap triggers a spell known as "Song of Hastur", a song that causes instant death by causing extreme madness and brain bleeding. It is a song from his original homework that he was not aware of knowing, but was stored in his genetic memory. (Meaning Imhotepkemet cannot consciously cast Song of Hastur).

>Other actions cancelled
>Rate the willpower of your character

[Warp Zone] Your warp zone extends in a 2 kilometer radius starting from your current location on the beach.

@Gob: You can feel that many of your minions are trapped in the Warp Zone and go mad. You lose control of them.

>[2]
You do not find any hints about the location of the Staff.

>[3]
[Telekinesis] I'm not sure how you can be blinded, as a weird, floating sphere? You use your power of telekinesis to make an spherical armor of rocks, sticks and dead birds around the lower half of your body. Fighting fire with fire. It is not very solid, but should offer decent protection.

>[1]
You had previously been walking in a circle, so it should have occurred to you that your sense of direction is not the most reliable. What happens next is a tragedy, so I will put my answer inside of spoiler tags, so that the more sensitive readers do not get upset. I mean, how heart-breaking, he has just drawn a portrait of everyone.
You walk in the opposite direction of where you wanted to go, and arrive closer to the starting area. You walk right into Father Arkham's cursed [Warp Zone] and instantly, your head is filled with visions of horrible cosmic truths that send you mad. As indeed, nothing is more horrible than the metaphysical truth about this reality.

>You lose all of your actions
>You lose control of characters, at least until someone heals you

>>4191443
I will explain how Mythic RPG works in the spoiler.
Mythic uses simple charts to help the QM make decisions. It can be used as a stand-alone system, or as complement to another system. Here, I use it as a complement to the simple 1d6 system defined in the OP. There's an 8-ball chart, and an oracle chart that kind of works like reading tarot. I will show here how the 8-ball part works.
The 8-ball part can be used for combat, skills, and also for answering any Yes/No question that I have. The tarot part is used to answer open-ended questions and create randomness.

I define the Difficulty Rank of the Song of Hastur spell, and I define the Acting Rank, which is Readryth's willpower. You roll a 1d100, and if the roll is LOWER than the number on the chart, it is a success. The small numbers define critical failure and success.
Mythic roll
Q: Can Readryth survive the effects of Song of Hastur?
Difficulty Rank: High (a rare, eldritch spell)
Acting Rank: Awesome (this is his willpower rank, as defined by himself)
Roll: 42
A: Yes (had to roll lower than 80 for a Yes, cf. chart)

Your willpower is strong enough to resist the effects of Song of Hastur. The song is more horrific than the music played by the Earthling violonist "Erich Zann". You do not let your mind be disturbed by the dissonant chords and sing a counter-song from your own home world.

>cont.
>>
>>4191446
>[2], [6]
Not bound by gravity like your bipedal enemies, you begin floating above the canopy of the forest, until you locate something of interest. You float toward the center of the island and locate a small, ancient temple structure, surrounded by floating traps, and with two creatures fighting on the ground. The defending creature seems to be an alien wizard, and the other one is an ape or a lizard stuck in a strange trap.

>>4191463
>[4]
You flee inside of the temple.

>[4], [6]
You create a solid, steel helmet. Two small, articulated probes, that look like insect legs, plug into your bleeding eyesockets. Another probe digs a hole into the back of your head and connects to the occipital lobe. Above the helmet is a camera shaped like an multi-faceted insect eye, that creates a rudimentary sense of vision, more or less that allows you to see vague shapes and contrasts. You use the trail of intestine that's on the floor to orientate yourself and you follow it. Your vision is slowly improving, and you are gaining a sense of vision that is more accurate than when you were using your flesh and blood eyes. Eventually, after a few minutes, your vision will improve to near perfect. This is the power of science, magic, and the inexisting barrier between the two, that is only defined by the superstition of lower intellect species.

[Warp Zone] You curse the entrance area, but Imhotepkemet's many dimension traps absorb your energy, and the warp zone gets sucked into deep space.

[Weird Ball] Imhotepkmet is blind, so he cannot be affected by your ability. Readryth, however, does not have the chance of being blind. He's trying to free for himself and looks into your general direction. He sees reflected on your surface everything that everyone in the world is thinking at this very moment. The sheer amount of information is too much for any mind to handle, and it makes him instantaneously mad.

[3]
The traps have been defined as impenetrable. Rolling a 3 is not nearly enough to get past them.
You are a glass cannon. You are absolutely overpowered, but at the same time, very vulnerable to physical attacks. The spikes are attracted toward you like gravity and pierce your frail flesh. All that you can do is clumsily fly away.

Next to the door is a small stand constructed of green jade, with a small, circular hole in the center of it. Ash'Baal is on the verge of dying, but constantly regenerating himself. He appears to have gone insane, i.e., the same as everyone else, nowadays.

[6]
[Greater Magic] You turn the oxygen that's inside of the caverns into acid, and fill all of the tunnels with acid. This is an elementary, but extremely efficient trap. You quickly build a wall of stainless steel behind you, so that you are protected from it.

[5]
Weapon randomly generated with https://talktotransformer.com, which is a neural network software that generated text.
[Lesser Magic + Greater Magic] You craft a gun called the "Technomantic's Hand", which has the property of creating a static electricity field around your body. This allows the gun to shoot arcane energy and electricity out at the same time, and also makes you immune to telekynesis and mind-reading.

Thank Readryth for blindness, don’t know what I’d do without you man. You’re a team player and a unit.

Right, I think Ish’Baal went insane or something, so let’s not mind him, in the traditional supervillainny arrogant manner.

Well, only one thing to do now, I suppose.

Action: I place the Jade Idol upon the Jade Stand.

You place the monkey statuette on the jade stand. The little statuette turns on itself, making a hissing sound, slowly drills inside of the stand. The floor shakes slightly. The gates begins to slowly open and tainted air comes out of it. What you guess to be the Staff of Nyarlathotep is inside of a floating icosahedron of glass. The rooms is circular and contains gigantic computer devices. The ceiling is a vivid imitation of the cosmos, with blinking stars and a floating picture of a turbanned demiurge. The walls are made of an unidentifiable, dark metal, covered with grim runes, with screaming, humanoid shapes melted into it, as if they had been trapped when the room was constructed. You feel that it is all the deliberate, evil creation of Nyarlathotep.

-1 damage from previous round
>[3] - 1 = 2
You attempt to heal yourself with the power of love. That does not work.

>[2] - 1 = 1
[Warp Zone] You feel a pinch in your heart. As a creature of pure love, it is impossible for you to curse others, no matter how despicable they could be. You concentrate and try to create a Love Zone. But you completely lack practice with such power, and fail.

>The ability [Warp Zone] is temporarily disabled until you solve your identity crisis

>[6] - 1 = 5
While completely impenetrable in terms of Euclidian geometry, it is quite possible to fold space and enter through a wormhole. This is in fact how Readryth entered, so there's a precedent for it. Of course, the innate monstrosity of doing such action with their own flesh would drive anyone else insane, only a bodiless Avatar of Madness from deep space of your type could do it. Your squeeze your non-mass inside of a one-dimensional point and bypass all of Imhotepkemet's devilish traps. Of course, Imhotepkemet has an intellectual level that should have predicted this defensive weakness, but the sheer difficulty of predictive calculation in this case would have required that he builds a massive quantum computer.

word search puzzle idea from: >>4187466
You guess that the gigantic computers control the icosahedronic prison. You beginning by typing on one of the keyboards. The screen turns on.
>"Enter the correct password. You have one attempt left."
You hack into the admin console and break an advanced word search puzzle. With a recursive algorithm, you simplify the puzzle and find a list of 8 possible passwords. Your brain calculates the probabilities. You come up with the conclusion that there's a 86.24% probability that the password is "Chaos". You take your chance.
>Chaos
>"Wrong password. System protection activated."
The humanoid shapes on the walls of the room open their mouth, and toxic gas comes out of it.

>>4193451

Your conviction is not very firm, this is not good enough.

>[2] - 1 = 1

You look inside of yourself, reflect on your nature as an avatar of madness, and quickly find convinction back in your own madness. Looking at the helpless slave drool and babble in front of you, you understand that love is a form of madness and irrationality. That is despicable. The heart of mortal creature is frail and it is an organ that you do not even need -- you are an outer space will-o'-wisp, you don't even breathe. The mortals have invented love as a way to create meaning to their lives, to protect themselves from the harsh reality of the cosmos.

You figure out that your failure with your previous word search (>>4193671) was caused by your use of the English language instead of Ancient Egyptian, a language that you are obviously fluent in, and that is indeed more appropriate for the Black Pharaoh. Rookie mistake.

Well, robots don't really function on the same sane/insane dichotomy we like to put humans into. Their "thoughts" and actions are entirely explicit with no capacity for abstract thinking or etherial belief. Most conceptions of "insane" AI are based on taking instructions to theirmost extreme conclusion or being damaged to the point that their processes are corrupted. Can a robot be afflicted with elderich madness? Well, that's what I hope to find out next thread.
>>
>>4195700
Wux ruled that no more players can be added this thread, so there will be no more players.
>>
>>4195667
im already inside lol

>"While completely impenetrable in terms of Euclidian geometry, it is quite possible to fold space and enter through a wormhole. Of course, Imhotepkemet has an intellectual level that should have predicted this defensive weakness, but the sheer difficulty of predictive calculation in this case would have required that he builds a massive quantum computer."
>>
>>4195743
You’re inside my dome of traps, not the temple.

I was wondering how you were going to get in the temple
>>
>>4195746
the action was

c) try to get into temple from another route, one without aerial fucking spikes
>>4192352
>>
>>4195749
Yet you were interacting with Readryth, who was outside the temple, if he was inside he’d be dead.
>>
>>4195788
And everyone knows that islands belonging to avatars of elder gods are among the most spacially stable places on Earth.
>>
>>4195793
Hey, the ball was described as next to Readryth, unless it’s a very long ball that isn’t really inside the temple
>>
>>4195803
What if Ark was in both places at once? Very posible with Chaos Manifestation.

>"While completely impenetrable in terms of Euclidian geometry, it is quite possible to fold space and enter through a wormhole. This is in fact how Readryth entered,

he's inside too lol
>>
>>4195806
Well in that case he would have been dissolved by my acid trap, I believe, so I’d be in favour of it
>>
>>4195807
He’s inside my dome of traps, not the temple.

Evidence: We fought outside the temple, and immediately after the battle concluded, you made him go insane, right outside the temple

Mythic roll
Q: Does Imhotepkemet remain insane?
Acting Rank: Superhuman (maximum willpower rank) - 1 RS (dizzy) = Awesome
Difficulty Rank: Superhuman 2 (Father Arkham's new power level)
DC: Roll 10 or lower
Roll: 4
A: Success

Father Arkham managed to temporarily corrupt your synapses, however with a simple reconfiguration, you can undo all the damage. It only required that you're able to reconfigure yourself faster than the corruption spreads. The gas, however, is still affecting you, and you are starting to feel really dizzy.

>>4195843
You got past the traps and are now at the entrance of the temple, floor level, in front of your slave Readryth >>4195746 >>4195788. Below the temple, there are caverns filled with acid and only then, Nyarlathotep's secret room. I attach a map to show your current location.

>>4195345
>>4195349
>[6] - 1
Still suffering -1 damage
Good roll, but...
There's nowhere to tele-move Raedryth. If you moved him anywhere, he would be caught in Imhotepkemet's traps and die in a gruesome way. Even if you teleported him to the top of a hill >>4195511, he would get caught in the floating traps. You conclude that the safest spot for him is to remain exactly where he is.

>[5] -1, [1] - 1
Properly growing in size would normally require that you obtain an Orb of Crystalline Perfection or dragon blood (https://boards.4channel.org/qst/thread/4157644/#p4158093). However, you get another... crazy idea. You inflate yourself by using your [Telekinesis] power, and fill yourself with the air that surrounds you. You take the shape of the surrounding walls and become cuboid-shaped >>4195643.
>>
Rolled 1, 4, 6 = 11 (3d6)

>>4196715
Action 1: Right, just construct myself a rebreather, the flame cloak isn’t cutting it.

Action 2: I just felt a tremendous pressure attempt to overwhelm my synapses, construct a something to protect me from future incursions

Action 3: For fucks sake finally grab ahold of the staff, I’ve tried to do this 3 turns now
>>
>>4196720
Damn this gas is getting on my nerves. Not sure how much longer the flame cloak will hold.

Hopefully I managed to grab the staff and don’t have my turn cancelled by more Ball magic, unlimited cosmic power hours.

Speaking of, since I’m still in the massive warp zone, I can’t be affected by another one, can I?
>>
>>4196730
ill hold on until op answers this lol

also what can i do op, can i shoot laser beams of chaos
>>
>>4196730
Good question. You have no way of knowing if another warp zone can affect you or not.

>>4196791
In terms of power, you can only do your 3 powers in your character description, and anything that can be derived from it.
A laser beam of chaos sounds like a specific shape of Warp Zone. I would allow it.

Seventeenth turn

>>4196720
>[1] - 1
[Greater Magic] You craft a sophisticated rebreather and wrap it around your armor. A pseudopod-shaped appendix covers your face, enters into your nostrils and toward your lungs. Small tentacles come out of the appendix that stick to your lung surface. That doesn't sound good! The rebreather is harmful, not helpful, and you enter hypoxemia.

>[4] - 2 = 2
[Greater Magic] But your greatest threat is to counter whatever caused the brain corruption. You attempt to craft another tinfoil hat, but you fail. You can only make a crude, tinfoil ball. Whatever that may represent, you have no clear idea.

You are dying! You type frenetically on the console.

>7) Access porn folder

That's Nyarlathotep's porn folder. Wait, why is a god-like entity collecting pictures of 2D shokushu goukan?

>1) Open Staff container

You gain the vision of an eldritch, inflated cube floating in your direction. It reflects the horrors of all the cosmos, and it begins damaging new areas of your brain. You counter the damage by reconfigating your brain as fast as possible. You ignore the vision and walk toward the Staff. You stretch out your hand to grab it but, even though you're out of time, you stop. You craft a new metal alloy glove, and wrap it around your hand. This is the Staff of Nyarlathotep, and you calculated that it's probably -454.75 Fahrenheit and would destroy you if you touch it.

>>4190227
Red Jr. wakes up on the beach. He gets caught in the Warp Zone that Father Arkham left behind, and goes insane.

>>4196807
>[3] - 1, [1] - 1, [3] - 1
(Father Arkham:) You charge into the acid-filled caverns. You immediately melt and disappear.

>>4196720
Back to Imhotepkemet. A green-bearded man in a green cloak appears in front of you.

"I hope you've enjoyed my fantasy-scape! Y'all are an interesting bunch."

All of your memories come back to your mind. You were chillin' in your homeworld, Nile IV, and recruiting cultists to summon you to Earth, the planet where you had created the glorious The Great Pyramid of Giza. You had recruited an archeologist by the name of Dr. Russell (https://boards.4channel.org/qst/thread/4175842/#p4177600), who obtained a strange book for you, titled SCP-1230. He got captured by enemy cultists of 5 different eldritch monsters who had allied against you. As desperate measure, the archeologist read the anomalous book out loud, which had the effect of throwing everyone inside of a dream-like alternate reality, with no memories of how they got there.

http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1230

Reality unfolds before your eyes, and you wake up in your homeworld, with the Staff of Nyarlathotep in your hands.

Staff of Nyarlathotep
>+1 RS bonus when casting chaotic magic
>+1 RS general bonus against any lawful-aligned creature, including inquisitors
>immunity against lawful magic

(The Staff of Nyarlathotep can be kept in the Eldritch Horror game.)
