You are Miyuki. A destroyer class ship girl of the Fubuki-class of destroyers. Right now, you are on a mission to map out the coastline along the island where your naval base is in.
The past few days have been weird. Your first memories involve fighting the strange eldritch creatures called abyssals, somehow winning two against one. Then you met Inazuma, Ninazuma and the others.

It was fun being with them, even with the constant dangers of Abyssals all around you, but you still can't get that nagging feeling from the back of your head.

You don't remember anything before your first battle with the Abyssals.

Oh well, not like it matters anyways, the pressing matter right now is mapping out the coastline.

You, Ooi and Kitakami are gathered at the docks, as fairies run around doing tasks here and there. You smile at some that pass by you, for you, their big, muscular

As you are deep in thought, one of the passing fairies catch your attention, motioning for you to follow it. You oblige, and Kitakami follows shortly after, Ooi clinging tightly to her arm. You aren't sure why she does that or why Kitakami doesn't mind, but it's not like it's disturbing anyone so you ignore it.

The fairy leads you inside the docks proper, where your crews are gathered, carrying supplies for the journey ahead. The fairy which guided you there salutes before going back to his own duties. You head to your gathered crew, and Kitakami and Ooi head to theirs. After loading everyone, you are underway.

Finally, you are back on the water. Something about it fills you with joy, you can't help but smile as your wake sprays sea water onto your face. It feels just right. The three of you steam ahead, in a triangle formation. You are the tip, while Kitakami and Ooi occupy the left and right respectively. Your group had already decided that you would lead them to whatever direction, and they would follow.

You go over your choice in side your head.

>Go North, along the coast. You remember that was where you found the shipping containers from before, maybe you'll find something else further along the coastline?

>Go South, along the coast. The southern coastline wasn't that mapped out yet, with most of your incursions either taking you north or farther into the ocean. You don't know what you'll find here.

>Go out further into the ocean. Not really what was originally planned for you and your group, but it might be useful to map out the ocean near your base, but it might be useful to map it out for future combat.

Where do you go?

>Go out further into the ocean. Not really what was originally planned for you and your group, but it might be useful to map out the ocean near your base, but it might be useful to map it out for future combat.

After you weigh your options, you decide on going further out into the ocean in order to map it out into different areas. You're not sure how, but you know that your fairies would handle it. It would also be prudent of you to scout out for any latest abyssal activity, just in case they attack you again.

Finalizing your decision, you turn your heading towards the open waters, glancing back at the two light cruisers behind you as confirmation. Kitakami and Ooi nod changing their heading to match yours. You nod at them, and you all begin to steam ahead. You can't help but linger your sight toward the base though, wondering how Inazuma and the others are doing. You smile at the thought of that clumsy girl trekking through the forest, but it was now time to focus on the mission ahead.

The first few hours were uneventful, aside from the occasional bird flying overhead, there really was nothing that much in the way of excitement out here in the ocean. Behind you, you here Kitakami and Ooi talking about some topic or another. You can't really hear them over the sound of your engines, but at least they're having fun.

You wish you had radios though.
>>
>>4160885

The open ocean is boring. There's naught but a single speck of land anywhere, and you've been steaming away for four hours or so now. You would've had expected to have seen Abyssals by now, but they're strangely absent.

As you are underway, some of the fairies have climbed out of your rigging, lounging on whatever surface they can find. Your gun mounts, your shoulders and your head. Your commander scolds them saying that they're being unruly, but you don't really mind, flashing him a smile which seems to convince him. You could use the company anyways.

While the other fairies are lounging away, your lookouts, still hard at work, report to you about the sighting of dark clouds gathering ahead. They tell you to be careful if you decide to go forward into the squall, but you could always go around it, or you could go back towards the island.

You glance over to Kitakami and Ooi, who were now holding each other's hands. You return your gaze back to the horizon. There was something weird about those clouds, maybe it was Abyssals, maybe it was just the hours of boredom playing tricks on you. Nonetheless, you needed to quickly decide before the squall comes over to you.

You decide that it was best to

>Continue forward, It wasn't like a little rain could hurt you, just make you soaked. Besides, you need to check out if the feeling in your gut really meant something.

>Excercise caution and try to go around it, you wanted to check yes, but you didn't want to continue onward soaked to the bone.

>Head back towards the island, yes you've spent a few hours steaming away, but something about that storm was weird.

What do decide to do?

>Head back towards the island, yes you've spent a few hours steaming away, but something about that storm was weird.

You decide that it was best to head back to base, you were probably properly equipped to take on the storm, but that feeling in your gut just wouldn't go away. It was better to be safe than sorry after all. You shout your order to return back to base to the two light cruisers. Kitakami salutes with her free hand, while Ooi gives you a look of confusion. You understood her, after all you did go all this way just to turn back.

Nevertheless, both light cruisers follow through with your orders. The three of you turn back to return to base, the fairies lounging outside scramble to get inside your rigging via the many hatches located all over it. You glance back toward the dark clouds drifting towards you, somehow you get the feeling that it was starting to gain up speed. You place that thought to the back of your head, now all you had to focus on was getting back to base.

The three of you cruised in a straight line for a while, with you at the back, and Kitakami leading. You enjoy the silence for awhile, you try to ignore the fact that Ooi glancing around, muttering things under her breath that you don't really catch. You sigh to yourself. This was probably a grand waste of everybody's time, maybe you could go out after resting back at base for a night.

But that's when you feel it.

The cold, dark feeling in your gut. Immediately, you turn your focus behind you. Just a hundred or so meters away from you lay a sheet of dark, strong rain. Which was strangely silent.

You didn't know how, but somehow, the squall had caught up to you, silent and fast. That storm WAS weird! You shout a warning towards the two light cruisers, but Ooi beats you to the punch. "Kitakami-san! That storm is-" But before she could finish her sentence, cannons scream out their retort from inside the storm.

Shells scream overhead, the three of you duck and brace for impact as your crew scramble towards their battle stations. Thankfully, the first salvo landed short of your position, but the storm was still gaining on you. The three of you aim your armaments towards the storm while still steaming towards the base.

You are on high alert, but it seems like the salvos were sporadic at best, few were even managing to escape through the torrent of rain bordering the storm, most fell inside of it, further churning up the raging waters. Still, the rain was strangely silent. You could only hear the roar of the guns and the splashing of shells into the water.

Something weird was definitely going on here. It was almost like the storm wasn't real, like it was an illusion of some kind. You stopped yourself before you went deep into thought. You had to focus on the battle ahead.
>>
>>4165522

But somehow even with you three pushing your engines to the safest of limits, the storm was somehow picking up speed, catching up to you. As it drew even closer, it allowed you to peek into the rain.

And that's when you saw it

It was floating, no, crawling towards you as the churning waves tossed it around like a ragdoll. Its fat, humanoid body seemed to twitch in pain with every passing moment.

It crawled to you like a man possessed. Long clawed thin arms hitting the water, clawing itself closer towards you. You start to scream. Or at the very least you think that it was you.

Somehow, someway, it got inside your head. Your brain fries with unknown heat. Images flash, memories past. You hear their screams, their agony. How the dark scared them how it took them. The stream of information, of pain was too much to handle. Your head was hot, but your body was cold.

You needed to make it stop.

So, you take aim.

You shoot to make it stop. Anything just to make it stop.

Do you hit?

It's a hit, nanodesu!

With eyes closed, and aiming at the general direction of where the thing was. You feel the recoil of your cannons as the shells flies towards your target.

The salvo hits true. You hear the detonation of shells upon the enemy's frame.

You open your eyes to the sight of a burning wreck. Black oil coats the churning waves, which swallow the thing, pulling it into the depths.

You hear the rattle of ammunition as your hands shake. Your breathing is haggard, your chest prickles with pain and your mouth is filled with the taste of iron.

The storm was still gaining towards you, but at least the immediate threat was already taken of. You look back towards your companions.

The two light cruisers were in a sorry state. Kitakami was crouched down, her hands holding her head as her face was grimaced with pain. Meanwhile, Ooi was now standing over Kitakami, her eyes narrowed as she stared deep into the storm. Something about her was scary, like a predator looking at its prey.

Ooi notices your gaze. She nods to acknowledge your presence. You return her nod, steaming towards them in order to get ahead of the storm's path.

When you reach them both, you see that Ooi was no comforting Kitakami with pats to her back, but her gaze was still towards the storm front. Kitakami on the hand was still crouched down, her body shaking with an unseen cold.

"We should get moving." Ooi nods, turning her attention to Kitakami now, as she crouches down to meet the other light cruiser's gaze. You keep watch as Ooi comforts Kitakami. "Kitakami." Ooi says gently. "Let's go back home now. They're gone." Kitakami nods at Ooi words, who smiles. Ooi offers her hand to Kitakami who accepts it. The two light cruisers stand up in unison, Kitakami was still shaking yes, but at the very least it wasn't as much as before.

You wonder why that thing could affect all of you so deeply, but at least it was over now.
>>
>>4166653

You turn back towards the storm.

It was gone. Like it didn't even exist in the first place. Your mouth is agape in wonder. It was all so anticlimactic, you were expecting it to overtake you as you try your best to head back to land.

But instead, you are met with silence, and calm seas.

Weird. It was definitely weird.

You all steam back towards base. The way back was uneventful. When you finally reached base, you are greeted and escorted by Imuya. The three of you head towards the docks where you all unload your crew and get out of your rigging. The two light cruisers head back to their rooms afterwards, leaving you alone within the busy docks, with nothing to do and no one to talk with.

It was still early in the afternoon. Just after lunch. There were many things you could do, you could eat at the mess hall and eat a late lunch. You didn't have an appetite, but it might wash the iron taste still present in your mouth. You could go to the beach and run. Maybe a bit of exercise under the scorching heat would keep your mind off from the encounter before. Or you could go to the baths, to wash off the grime that accumulated during your short journey.

You are once again left with three choices. What do you decide to do?

>Go to the mess hall and eat. Your stomach could use some filling after the scouting trip turned weird.

>Go to the beach and run. This would mean changing into a tracksuit, and running under the hot afternoon sun, but you just wanted to take your mind off things.

>Go to the baths and relax. Nothing beats a warm bath after the strange, cold and dark feeling you have when encountering Abyssals.

>Go to the baths and relax. Nothing beats a warm bath after the strange, cold and dark feeling you have when encountering Abyssals.

After mulling your choices over, you decide to head to the baths, you could use a good soak. You walk towards the baths. The walk there is pleasant, relaxing. The beating of waves, the hustle and bustle of working fairies and the sound of planes overhead. You wonder where RJ was right now.

That question was soon answered when you come across the light carrier inside the bath house. She was set up in a corner of the bath house under an open window. There, she was busy cutting out shapes from paper, beside her was a stack of the cut shapes. She seemed to enjoying herself as she hummed a song. You stand at the entrance. You look at RJ, then to the planes flying outside.

You stop and ponder how she's both guiding and resupplying the planes from inside here. You are answered by the sound of a plane flying close the the bathhouse and into the open window, where once it got close turned back into the paper figure, which RJ would pick up and put away. The fairy who was riding the plane would then slowly walk towards the large scroll sitting beside her, disappearing inside it. A fairy would then come out of the scroll, ride on one of the shapes that RJ had cut, and then be thrown out of the window, riding on the shape which then turned into a plane.

It was... Amazing!
>>
>>4167420

As you stand there locked in amazement, RJ finally looks up from her work. "Yo!" She raises her hand as a greeting. "Yo, RJ!" You manage to reply after recovering from the initial amazement. "How're yah? Thought you'd be out patrolling by now, yeah?" You walk towards her as RJ talks, who was now continuing with her paper cutting

"Why're you back early, did yeh miss us too much?" RJ chuckles. "We had an encounter with this weird abyssal." You say as you sit down in front of her. The wooden floor felt rough, but you weren't going to complain. "See, I think it was messing with our heads. We headed back just to be safe." RJ nods. "They sure are weird aren't they? Something 'bout them gives me the creeps. How they stare with their eyes all empty an' all." You nod to the carrier's words.

"But I think that's par for the course. What's weird 'bout the one you saw? Ah mean, no offense but you look pretty shocked an' all." You let out a sigh. You didn't know where to begin. Firstly, you tell RJ of the storm, about how it was strangely silent, and how weird that abyssal you encountered was. How it seemed like it was attacking you mentally. RJ nods. "Ah see, ah see. That's what's got ya'll banged up, yeah?" You nod, explaining to her that's why you were here, to take a bath and relax, take your mind off that... Thing.

"Ah, ain't no thang then, just cleaned it up mahself, should be sparkly an' all! Now go on inside, ah, it's not like yah need my permission or anything..." As you talk with RJ, another plane goes inside, and she goes through the previous process once again. You stand up to leave and let RJ do her work. As you walk towards the changing room RJ tells you "Yah should tell the others though, better safe than sorry, yah know?" You nod to her RJ's words and reply with a simple "Thanks." with a smile of course.

As you head into the bath, you take a mental note to mention the weird Abyssal the next time you were all gathered together.

Which reminds you, how were Inazuma and the others faring? This situation reminded you that you really needed radios as soon as possible. It'll make communication more frequent and easier. Oh well, nothing you can do unless you can actually find some.

For now, it was time for a bath.

You go through the usual rituals of bathing. You make sure to soak up to your shoulders. The warm water melts the stress away as you feel your tense body relax. You almost fall asleep quite a few times, but you manage through it. Falling asleep inside the bath was dangerous.
>>
>>4167422

By the time you were out and about, RJ had long since finished. You lounge about for awhile, observing the fairies which had begun to shuffle into the baths. It was getting livelier by the second.

Finally content with your lounging, you step out of the bathhouse feeling refreshed. You could probably take on the world! ... Just kidding. It was late in the afternoon by the time you're done. You skipped lunch it seems. But somehow, you still didn't have an appetite.

You wrack your head for things to do. Maybe you could go and help with the cooking preparations for dinner, it was always fun to help the fairies with their work. Maybe you patrol the beach, see if there was anything weird by the water. If there was, your sure that your submarine friend would've dealt with it, but it was never hurt to be sure. Or you could go to the meeting room, or the war room as you would call it. Maybe see if the fairies had already updated the map from your patrolling. Maybe they saw something you missed, hell, maybe you could ask them about that weird abyssal you encountered.

After weighing it all out in your head you decide to go to

>The kitchen, which was no doubt a hive of ordered chaos right now as the cook fairies did their magic.

>The beach, patrolling never hurt anyone, and you kinda wanted to relax more. The rhythm of the waves would help with that.

>The command room. You wanted to see if any of the fairies had something to say, either information about the waters around your naval base, or the strange abyssal that you met.

>The command room. You wanted to see if any of the fairies had something to say, either information about the waters around your naval base, or the strange abyssal that you met.

To the command room it is. The fairies there should hopefully have the information that you seek. You begin your trek towards the stack of shipping containers turned living space way at the other side of the base.

Again, the trek there is uneventful. You pass by a lot of fairies on your way there. But now instead of rushing about, most of them are lounging about in their own groups. You even see some splayed out, drunk. It really makes you wonder where they get the alcohol from.

As you wonder about the details of the fairy supply line, you finally reach the command room, which unsurprisingly is a hub of activity. A few important looking fairies are coming in and out of the place, some are even heading out into the dense jungle. They're probably the fairies from Inazuma's group, reporting in about their own findings.

You make way into the command room itself, where a ton of fairies are huddled together drawing maps and gesturing to each other about one topic or another. The benches inside were taken out to somewhere, probably back to the mess hall where you got them from.

The fairies who notice your presence immediately give way to you. It's a tight fit, considering their big bulky bodies. It's funny seeing them huddled on a chair, looking over a small map as their big hands struggle to draw on the details.

As you peer over the work of one fairy, another one catches your attention. It was your commander fairy. It asks you in gestures, which you somehow understand, what you were doing here. You tell him about what you wanted to know, updates on the area around your naval base, and about the strange abyssal that you saw.

The fairy nods, and pulls over one of the fairies busy at work on one of the maps. Your commander fairy gestures something to the fairy, and the other fairy nods, heading out of the room after. Your commanding fairy offers you the chair the fairy was on, and you take the offer. ... It's warm.
>>
>>4168602

Back to the topic at hand. Through gestures, the fairy explains that the groups that have been sent off were making good headway. He explains how Inazuma's group had scouted out the area immediately outside the base, how they've found some interesting things and were camping out in order to find out those interesting areas.

He tells you that they even found a new ship girl. That was weird. A ship girl found outside the water. The fairy continues his explanation after letting you analyze the information. He tells you that although your group retreated early, they did manage to detail the topography of the sea just outside your naval base, they also marked several suspected land masses on the map, but they're unsure what their distance was, and if they really were land.

You nod, before asking him about the most important detail you want to know. The fairy looks down. You tilt your head, and cross your arms. Waiting for him to speak. The fairy matches your gaze after awhile, and shakes his head. They didn't know. Your guess was as good as yours. You sigh. It was as expected. "Nothing we can do about it then..." You mutter, as the fairy bows in apology.

Well, again, it's not like you could do anything about it. And it's not like you could drag the body back for study. You weren't equip for such things, and you don't really WANT to drag it back. Not like you could after it was swallowed by the storm. Which reminded you.

"How about that storm?" The fairy once again bows in apology. No dice, huh?

Oh well. No use trying to get information for things you don't know anything of. You thank the fairy for his time, and go out of the busy command room.

The sun was low in the sky by the time you're out. You didn't know anything new about the abyssal, but at the very least, you did know that your search was kind of fruitful, and that Inazuma and her group had a new ship girl to bring back to base. It was still weird how they found a ship girl out of water, but it was still good news nonetheless.

You are once again stuck with nothing to do, so you try and think of things to do. Right outside the command room, you could see Ooi and Kitakami walking hand in hand to somewhere. Probably the mess hall. You could go with them, but it was probably bad to join in on their alone time. You could also try and find those two battleship sisters, Ise and Hyuuga and see if they were up to something. Or you could always go to the mess hall to get some early grub, either way, you would always end up their at the end of the day.

What do you do?

>Go with Kitakami and Ooi, you didn't want to disturb the two light cruisers' alone time, but you wanted to see how they were doing.

>Go see if you can find Ise and Hyuuga, from what you've seen from them, the two were probably up to some shenanigans.

>Go see if you can find Ise and Hyuuga, from what you've seen from them, the two were probably up to some shenanigans.

You decide on finding the two battleships that just joined your retinue. From what you've seen from them, those two might be up to something right now. However, you really had no clue where they were right now.

Maybe you could ask one of the passing fairies, or maybe you could just walk around the base until you find them. Or you could do both. So you do.

With no destination in particular, you head towards the center of the naval base, where the largest concentration of fairies would be, hanging out in their own respective houses.

When you reach what could be called the town center, judging from how groups of fairies were gathered here and there. One group was circling around a bonfire dancing some sort of strange dance. Weird, but you don't want to ruin their fun. Another group of fairies were huddled together, shoulder to shoulder, looking over something you couldn't really see. I guess you weren't asking them either.

With none on you could ask, you start to walk away, but you then hear the rumble of planes in the distance. You immediately turn to the direction of the sound, which were coming from the beach. You decide to follow the planes, if it wasn't Ise and Hyuuga, you could at least ask whoever was leading them if they could help you search for the two battleships.

The walk takes you along a small path by the beach. You take the time to admire the way the setting sun makes everything glisten with an orange glow. As you take in the sight, you finally reach the source of the planes. Ise and Hyuuga.

The two battleships were hanging out at the edge of a pier that jutted out deep into the water. From what you could see, both were busy talking to each other as their seaplanes circled around them in pairs. Set up around them were various fishing rods set up around various points on the pier.

So that's where they were.

You immediately pick up the pace, going into a light jog to join the battleship sisters. The first to notice you was Ise, who was sitting cross legged in front of one fishing rod. "Heya, Miyuki." She raises a hand in greeting. You reply with the same action. "Heya Ise. What are you two catching?" Hyuuga, eyes closed and arms crossed on her chest, which emphasized her rather ...large chest. Which you decide to not focus on, suddenly shouted. "Zuiuns!" Which prompted Ise to hit her sister with one of the nearby rods. "No, we're definitely not catching Zuiuns sis."

The sudden gag was met by silence. Hyuuga is the first to speak up. "I really thought that was funny..." Ise sighs. "We both did..." You flash an awkward smile. "O-okay?"

"In reality..." Ise continues on with the previous question. "We're catching fish or at least that's what we're trying to do, but..." Hyuuga nods, and continues her sister's words. "We've been here since morning. We haven't caught anything. We tried everything, fishing rods, hell." She points to a pair of wet swimsuits hanging on the pier's railings "We even tried diving. We couldn't catch anything, not even with our Zuiuns!" Their... Zuiuns...?

Your question was then answered when a pair of Zuiuns fly by beside the pier, a net tied to one each of their floats, which they dip into the water no doubt to catch fish. "See?" Hyuuga looks proud as she points to the seaplanes. Who then raise their nets to find it empty. "Darn! Nothing again!" Ise shouts.

You come to a realization of something. "I think it's the noise that's scaring the fish." The two battleships turn to you, wide eyed. Did... Did they just realize...?

Ise slaps her palm to her face, causing quite a loud sound to ring out. "OF COURSE!" Hyuuga falls down to her knees, defeated. "B-but the power of Zuiuns..." You sigh. It seemed like there was nothing to help these two.

A few moments later, the Zuiuns were retrieved by the two. The fairies piloting them either ran off to pursue much more productive tasks, or to help out the two sulking battleships, who were now sitting in front of a fishing rod each. That really must've been a blow to their pride.

You yourself were recruited to fishing. You are sitting in a fishing rod positioned to the left of Ise, who had Hyuuga sitting to her right. You let the silence stew for awhile.

Fishing was such a relaxing thing, wasn't it? You let your thoughts run for awhile. It all boiled down to you thinking about the Abyssals, now that you think about it, maybe you could ask these two about their experience with them. If you remember correctly, they were captives of them once...

Do you ask them?

>Ask them, they might give you insight on the Abyssals.

>Don't ask them, it might be too callous of you to suddenly ask them of a no doubt painful experience.

Oh, while you're at it, roll a 1d20 if you please, nanodesu!

Thankfully, Miyuki isn't a certain spaghetti-spilling Destroyer...

As you fish, you decide to start a conversation with the two battleships, who were still busy sulking. You see that Hyuuga was sobbing while muttering "But... The power of... Zuiun..." under her breath. That really was a critical hit to their pride, huh?

"Hey..." You catch the attention of Ise, who turns to you with a tired expression. "Zui- I mean, yeah? What is it Miyuki?" You think for a moment on how to handle the question. You roll it around your tongue for awhile, before you decide that it was probably best to not beat around the bush. You put on a slightly serious face and ask. "Well, I want to ask about what you know about Abyssals. You were... With them for awhile after all."

You see the gears inside Ise's head through her eyes. She looks away from you and stares into the ocean. A few silent moments pass between you before she returns her gaze to you. "I..." The battleship begins to speak, massaging the bridge of her nose with her fingers. "I don't remember." Her eyes widen in shock. "I don't remember anything. Nothing at all. I only remember waking up in the infirmary..." She turns to her still sobbing sister. "Hey, Hyuuga." The other battleship's ears perk up when her name is called, but she doesn't reply, still sobbing about the failure of her Zuiuns.

"Hyuuuugaaaa" Ise shakes her sister softly at first, before quickly escalating to jerking her back and forth. "Hyuugahyuuga Gauhyu-" Hyuuga finally escapes her melancholy. The smile that she shows is empty, as well as her eyes. "Yes, Zuiunee-" Ise slaps her sister. The fairies around you turn to look at them both, then return to whatever they were doing. "Zui?" Hyuuga holds the place where her sister slapped her. "Do.You.Remember.Anything.Before.The.Infirmary.?" Ise pinches her sister's cheeks, hard. "Hwawawa-" Hyuuga's starting to sound like a certain destroyer. "Ahbown'trememweranyfiiiin" You think she said 'I don't remember anything'.
>>

You were about to break them up, but then you see Hyuuga's eyes widen. "Acphually" Ise finally frees her grip on Hyuuga's cheeks. Hyuuga takes the moment to massage them. "I think I do remember one small detail." You motion for her to continue. "Although I saw nothing back darkness... It felt warm. Not the comfortable kind mind you, the kind of warmth that you get when you sit on a seat someone just left." That... That comparison is too close to home. "And I could hear someone, something...? It was laughing."

You put your hand to your chin. "Laughing?" Hyuuga nods, still clenching her cheeks. "Yes, it went something like Kyahaha.. kyahaha kya... kyahaha..." Her tone monotone as she mimics the laughing. "Or something like that. Sorry, I don't really remember anything besides that."

You raise your hands and sway them left and right "No, not really. In fact, any insight about the Abyssals was valuable information." You thank them for their time, and ask forgiveness because it was inconsiderate for their feelings. The two tell you that it's fine, and that it really didn't bother them. You all then turn your focus back to fishing.

You wonder if they'll be here even after dark. Maybe you'll excuse yourself once it gets dark, something tells you that the two weren't planning to leave without any catch...

Time passes in silence, as the three of you, as well as the fairies still around focus on the task at hand. You had begun to wonder what to say to excuse yourself and go on to do other tasks, but that's when... Something tugs at Hyuuga's line.

The two of you immediately turn your attention to Hyuuga, who was pulling up the line smoothly, her face smug at the prospect of being the first to catch something. However, her smugness was gone when it was revealed that the only thing she did manage to reel in was... A piece of seaweed. This results in Hyuuga immediately falling onto her face. You could almost hear the sound effect and sad music that came with the scene.

Ise laughs at her sister's misfortune, but it was then her line that had begun to be tugged. Ise immediately grabs the line, and unlike Hyuuga, pulls the entirety of it out of the water using her monstrous strength befitting a battleship. What came out could be only describe as... A blob. You look at it. It looks at you, then at a wide eyed Ise. You swear you could see the pain in its eyes. It seemed to tell you that existence was pain, that there was no hope only despair-

Ise immediately kicks it off the pier. She looks at you. You look at her. You both nod simultaneously, to never speak a word of the thing you saw.

And then unexpectedly, it was your turn. You immediately scramble for your rod. The tip was bending dangerously. You swear it would snap right off. You wrestle with whatever was on the end of the line. It was heavy. It was a hard battle. Ise and Hyuuga were now helping you pull up the line, while some fairies gathered beside you, nets at the ready. One even carried a club. "This it it fer' sure laddie!" Ise said with words you're sure would fit RJ more. "Oh dearie me, It's a right and fine tuna, Ain't it!" Hyuuga followed right after.

You're pretty sure that Tuna don't go this far into the shallows.

Then finally, with the combined after of two battleships and a few fairies, you managed to pull up your catch.

Everyone had readied to celebrate, but then your 'catch' talked.

"Haiii, Imuya dayo!"
>>
>>4170492

All of you immediately fall to your feet. Right after getting Imuya onto the pier of course.

By time you've all recovered from your failure, that you're pretty sure is gag material, it was dark. Ise and Hyuuga put away everything that they set up. Which the fairies then took away to store somewhere. That left you with the two Battleships, who were busy stretching their limbs to no doubt soothe any aching joints from sitting here for far too long, and Imuya who was busy fiddling with a small black something.

But before you could ask her what it was, she looks up and out into the ocean. She then says "Oh, Octopus-san should be out and about by now." After finishing her words the submarine dives back into the water, much to the annoyance of Ise, who was hit by the splash.

After getting everything together, you all head for the mess hall. It was packed to the brim by the time you arrive, even if Inazuma's group along with their fairies were away, it would seem that it was still enough to fill the mess to almost full capacity. Maybe you should get to expanding it when you had the time and resources, with the new ship girl joining you and all.

Ise and Hyuuga get to lining up, while you stay back at the entrance and observe where everyone else was sitting. Maybe you could sit with someone as you ate.

Aside from Ise and Hyuuga, you could see RJ together a table with some clearly drunk fairies. RJ herself was getting plastered, a ton of empty bottles are discarded in a pile in front of her. You aren't sure if she could talk in that state, but you could sure try. Then you see Kitakami and Ooi huddled together in a table, the spot in front of them empty as they sat side by side. You couldn't see Kitakami's expression from here, but from Ooi's worried expression, you could only hope that she was fine.

You think over your options for awhile, while you weren't hungry, maybe a bit of conversation would help you shovel down the food as fast you can. Not like it wasn't delicious or anything, you were confident with the fairy's skills, but you just really didn't have an appetite.

Who do you go with?

>Continue hanging out with Ise and Hyuuga. Those two seemed fun, and the past few hours you've spent with them tells you that it was only the start of their shenanigans.

>Go and see if you can chat with a clearly drunk RJ. The carrier had now begun singing some kind of song that you couldn't make the lyrics out of from the hustle and bustle of the mess hall.

>Sit with Kitakami and Ooi and see how both were doing. You're pretty sure that Ooi could handle it all by herself, but you couldn't help but be worried.

Of course you could eat alone, but where was the fun in that?

Can you guess what would've happened if you got a crit, nanodesu?

>Go and see if you can chat with a clearly drunk RJ. The carrier had now begun singing some kind of song that you couldn't make the lyrics out of from the hustle and bustle of the mess hall.

You decide that the person you wanted to hang out with during dinner was a drunk RJ. But first, you had to line up and grab yourself some grub. As per usual, the fairies in line part for you to pass. You'll never get used to it, but you thank them and try not to take too much time with getting served. After you grab yourself a light meal of rice and stir fried vegetables along with a bowl of fish soup, you head towards where RJ was.

What greeted you was a massacre. Fairies were scattered here and there in various states of drunkenness. Some were on the face planting on the floor, others were sitting limply on some surface or another, even other fairies. While others, no doubt those who just joined the mess, were swaying lightly like bamboo in the wind. Meanwhile in the center of it all, was RJ, still singing. It went along the lines of "Shakiiing... hic... 'da waves, an! an! an!... hic. Let'saaa... hic meet on... that beach TOMORROW! hehehe... hic"
>>
>>4172603

As you approach her, RJ somehow notices your presence and beckons you over with a smile. You return with your own awkward one, as you go over to her stepping over some of the face planting fairies as you do so. You wonder who'll clean this mess up later. Maybe other fairies. RJ offers you to sit beside her, you oblige and she clears the table of the discarded bottles by pushing them off the table. You apologize in your mind to the fairies who have to clean up after you. "Heyaaaaa Miyuuuukiiii" RJ places an elbow on your shoulder "What're you... hic... Doing here? No, no, let 'e guuessss" RJ points to herself "Yer here for me aren'tchaaaa? Heeeee Miyuki you lady killer yoooou"

You chuckle to her words as you start eating, but you manage to keep up the conversation in between chewing. "Yes, RJ I am indeed here for you." RJ flashes you a grin. "Ah knew it! I really 'am one attractive 'oman aren't I? Hear that ya'll!" She shouts out, much to the surprised of some of the fairies, while others merely smile at her. She then takes another swig of the bottle which you didn't notice was still in her hands. "Heeeeeeey Miyuuukii?" You look up from your meal when she calls to you. The light carrier leans her head on your shoulder. "Ain't it all... Just... Right? hic" You tilt your head in confusion. Just right? What was? RJ giggles drunkenly. "Naaaaaah It's nothiiin'" She leans over to the other side. Then as if hit with a sudden realization, she returns leaning her head on your shoulder. By this time you were finished with your dinner.

"Heeeeey Miyukiiii hic.. he..heheee" The light carrier offers you an unopened bottle she retrieved from somewhere. "Have you ever drank yeeeeet? Yeh haven't yeaaaah dreeeenk come ooooon" You flash an awkward smile as the carrier pokes your cheeks with the bottle. It's cold, surprisingly.

Well, do you drink?

>Take a sip. You think it won't anyone. You hope you won't end up like the fairies surrounding you.

>Don't take a sip. Drinking is bad for you. You have plenty of examples to learn from.

>Pretend to drink, RJ probably won't notice with how drunk she was

You think over your options for a bit, you are hesitant to drink something that made the fairies around you as they were, but you probably won't regret it, right? You nod to RJ's offer. The light carrier grins, flicking the cap off with a practiced flair.

You gotta admit, that was amazing. She hands you the bottle. You gulp. "You ain't gonna regret iiiiit" You take a sniff of the bottle. Yeah, you're probably gonna regret it. You close your eyes, and take a swig. "WHA- Yer not supposed to drink it all at on-" Too late. The bottle drains into your stomach in between gulps.

Both your throat and brain burn from the strong flavor that washes throughout your body. "Oh gosh, Miyuki are yah alright?" Your body feels light, lights are too bright, and sounds have this weird echo to them... You feel yourself smile. A blissful smile. RJ lets out a guffaw. "THAT'S RIGHT AN' CREEPY AIN'T IT? SOMEONE CALL INAZUMAh dagnabit! She ain't here, ain't she?!" RJ seems to be panicking about something. So you give her a tight huuuug

The light carrier squirms in your arms. She's screaming something about it was too early for something like this, and that how everyone was watching. She was too loud. Far too loud. So you smother her head into your chest. Now all you hear are muffled screams. But that's okay. It's alright. It's quieter now. RJ struggles with your grip. But with a new found strength, you instead squeeze her tighter until she stops struggling.

Fue? Did she just pass out? Well, no matter. It's not like she was going anywhere anyways, Guwewe~

What to do, what to do~

Ah, that's right. There were more unopened bottles~ It was time to drink the night away Gufufufu~

I can now make the excuse that typos were made because Miyuki was drunk. Also, imagine if It was Inazuma who was put in this situation. All the ramming...
>>
>>4172718

You wake up a few hours later. or at least you think it is. Your body is soaked in sweat, and both your chest and head throb with pain. You look around you. The mess hall had been dimmed to conserve energy, but it was still enough for you to see in your direct surroundings.

RJ is knocked out cold right beside you her eyes are rolled up inside her head showing on the whites. In front of you lay a pile of fairies, some of which have bottles shoved into their mouths.

You take a moment to let the reality of the situation sink in.

Did... Did you do all of this? You clamber out of the chair you were on, and somehow manage not to fall over either from the pile of fairies at your feet or the wobbly feeling inside your legs.

You wonder what happened. You once again apologize to the fairies that had to clean up your mess. When you finally regain your balance, you take the time to look around the other tables inside the mess.

You see Ise and Hyuuga at one table, splayed out bottles still tightly gripped with their hands along with Zuiuns resting on their head. Oh, also, did you mention that they were naked except for bindings around their chest and loin cloths around their waist? That was an... interesting, sight.

At another table you see Imuya, dripping wet as she gobbled down dinner as fast she could. On the table in front of her lay a bucket which you were sure had tentacles squirming out of it, which Imuya fed some of her scraps to. That.. Are you still asleep?

However you couldn't find Kitakami and Ooi anywhere, they were probably back at the dorms, sleeping. You probably should go and sleep this headache off too. What time was it anyways...?

Anyway, what do you decide to do?

>Start cleaning up after yourself. Although you couldn't do anything about the fairies splayed all over the floor, you could probably pick up the discarded bottles and carry them to the dumping area out back.

>Converse with Imuya and ask her about the curious thing inside her bucket. Curiosity might have killed the cat, but you were no cat.

>Head back to the dorms and sleep, it was a pretty long day already and you wanted to get some shut-eye.
