_________________________________________________________
In the last session we attempt to bait the Monster King which doesn’t go that well. It turns out that there are four different creatures of that type in the local wilderness. They hold up against the expansion of both Holy Nation and Valistrat which makes their removal not as clear cut as it seemed and the bait triggered their combined attack on the Farsalos. While we managed to kill one of the giant monsters, the village came very close to falling if not for Elspeth’s personal intervention. Regardless, some people have died. Not the ones we really knew, but does that really matter? You still had a funeral to attend to.

With Elspeth and shortly Yawgmoth finally in Farsalos the time came to show them Ag’s nanostasis pod. It turns out that the machine is significantly more advanced than the ones used by the previous generation of synthetic gods. In exchange for the assistance in the creation of our own cup bearers we agreed to lend our pod to Elspeth for research. Hopefully the personal appearance of the local pantheon won’t cause any issues with the existing cult…
>>
>>4111948
After finalizing the agreement Yaw directed Ember to lift up and carry the nanostasis pod out of your laboratory and with a little bit of your help taking off the doors and using some hidden cargo access spots of your house the giant white pill was moved outside and towards Nike’s temple for further transportation. With what they came for well secured, Ceno pantheon representatives decided to leave for today not to cause any more disturbances among the locals. If you need them you already have a way to contact them through Nike’. As they leave you glance around at the villagers peeking at the commotion from their windows or from behind the nearby walls of houses and you can only hope that this nonsense won’t cause any more issues with your own tiny cult in the future. After all, these people saw you in contact with not one but three of their gods. If that’s not considered as a “validation” you don’t know what would.

You sigh and push that problem to the future when the consequences become a bit more pronounced before returning back to your home where Haven, Sig and Rheia have already assembled to hear what you’re about to say in the aftermath of the event. You poured them some tea and started explaining the whole deal with the opportunity for all three of them to become Cup Bearers. Judging by thoughtful and concerned expressions on all of their faces your elevator pitch didn’t work as intended.

“It… sounds great…” starts Rheia “But…” she pauses implying that it was a pretty big but. “You know… how my mom can be a bit… pushy? Well, I didn’t tell you much about it but the situation didn’t really clear up, especially after she… joined your cult. She seems to think that I am your “chosen”, whatever that means, and I feel like I’d become a lot more of that “chosen” in her eyes if I accept your proposal, Agatha. Don’t get me wrong, I like the way you teach me and I’m more than satisfied with the allowance but… I don’t know how I feel about the whole… “worshippy” part of being a Cup Bearer. For the most part I don’t feel that involved with the people here after the whole sacrifice… thing… but I don’t like the special way I’m being treated by the villagers already. I don’t want to further exacerbate this. I’m sorry”
>>
>>4111952
An awkward pause falls for a few moments after which Haven decides to have her turn. “I don’t think that I’m ready to make this step either, Agatha. You already know that me and my family are worshippers of Rozen. I’m ok with my current if somewhat weird position of both friendship and… vassalage, I guess? I want to repay you for saving my House financially… but if I take this step… I’d be closer to you than to my patron goddess and this would be much harder to justify for me or my family.”

“I’d have to pass as well” says Sigrid “I don’t think that I’d be a good candidate for a Cup Bearer, Ag. Cup Bearers are servants of their gods. They have to be unflinchingly loyal, and I’m only your friend. I’m a monster huntress in your team, I have my own dreams, goals and ambitions. I’m here because it both fits my ambitions and I like spending time with you and Haven. I want to be a legendary monster huntress like my sister. And no offense, but with your powers it feels almost too easy. Don’t get me wrong, I do understand that something like wrestling a goddamn Labyrinth Titan is not something that I could do, it just doesn’t feel that honorable to pick on weaker monsters with such overwhelming power.”

And that’s roughly how quickly you can get from giddy up excitement to nothing. All of your friends look somewhat sorry, but you understand why they are refusing such thing. It is a big decision and all of their reasons are viable. You don’t feel like pushing them either. What should you do?

>Projects, you want to clear your mind after this
>Go check up on Mina. You’ve sent her to claim her prize and you are somewhat curious what she decided to do
>You have to check up on your cultists and have some stern words with Rheia’s mom
>Other?
>>
>>4111954
What? we offered them already? I didn't want to do that so soon! and especially not with all of them together, shit....damn, that sucked

>Other?

sigh and sulk for some time, you are not asking for worship, not even loyalty, you just wanted your friends to be able to go with you where it's dangerous.

go take a good sauna bath to relax

then maybe start a small scale project to be in the lab if anyone needs to talk
>>
>>4111954
tell them its alright, it was an offer because we trust them and that includes making the right decisions
we accept them not wanting it, at least at the moment, but if they ever chang their minds they can ask, otherwise we will drop the issue
I mean, we are their friend and that will never change, what kind of friend would we be if we forced them into something they didn't want
*then hug them or something*
>Go check up on Mina. You’ve sent her to claim her prize and you are somewhat curious what she decided to do
and then projects
>>
>>4111954
It was an offer because we had the means, we understand it means something different to them than it means to us, for them is a great religious thing, for us was a way to help our friends.

Try to not be too bummed out.

Later push Haven aside alone and tell her what we discovered about the monster kings, ask her how was the battle for them and if she is ok.
>>
>>4111954
We should maybe think about sending rheia to an academy, her ability to learn is astounding and that way she would be away from the village to develop and deal with the trauma in a way that fits her

What is everyone thinking about that?
>>
>>4111990
Sending her to an academy would be good, and would help with taking her away from the people here and her mother
>>

>>4111990
>>4111992
Ok, writing. And sure, we could send Rheia to an academy if no one objects
>>
>>4112010
Hey, would the hero academy be beneath Sig? She could train too if needed and we could support her on that. But I don't know if her skill level is above that.
>>
>>4112011
Sig has already went through the training, just not in the best of the academies. She gradiated the Rendina Academy. Basically every polis has an academy complex and the one in the capital is know to be the best one around. Hero Academy is the section of the Academy Complex where people train the skills that mostly apply to stuff like monster hunting.

I was thinking that Rheia should go into the Scholar Academy since she is not actually fit for monster hunting yet and she is not psi awakened to go for psi focused courses. If you're curious, they have scholarship programs if Rheia manages to pass the exams in a certain top percentage or if she has a recommendation, which won't be too difficult to get considering that we personally know the literal goddess of wisdom. Else you can just pay out of your pocket. Note that preparation to the exam would require you to acquire the program and teach it to Rheia separately, what she currently learns is based on mostly Ag's Old Earth knowledge.
>>
>>4112026
Let's asked her once we have a chance, and I was talking about the schalry part, should have mentioned that

Since we have connections in the Capitol, it should be relatively easy to get a hold of the requirements
>>
>>4112026
Yeah, I don't want Rheia in a monster hunting academy I want her in a schollar academy or something.

Can we ask thr merchant to grab those for us? The programs?
>>
>>4112033
Ask rheia if she is interested, dont go overboard again
>>
>>4112010
Sorry guys, next post would be delayed. Had some unexpected stuff to attend to.
>>
>>4112010
“Alright then” you say, “I offered this to you because I trust you and that includes trusting you to make your own decisions. I am your friend and that won’t change. What friend would I be if I forced you to do what you didn’t want to? I can accept that you don’t want it, but if you ever change your minds please do tell me. I’ll drop the subject for now” everyone nods with small sighs of relief and you get on with the rest of the day’s events. You’ll debrief Mina separately since she is not here.

So, the first thing on your agenda is the Monster King… or more accurately, Kings. You tell your friends what you’ve found about them and their rough locations. Only Haven had something to say on this though and Sig agreed with her as she didn’t have much to add: “Well, I think the decision is mostly based on what you want. If your goal is to make the wilderness quickly habitable and much safer then taking out all four of the kings in the short order would do the trick. However, this would open up the easy road for expansion from Holy Nation and Valistrat. I don’t think that you could capitalize on the vacant land since we have what, around 400 people in the village plus maybe that tribe deeper in the forest? Ceno would likely try to capitalize on this as well but it is still very likely that we would lose the potential free land as well as maybe cause border skirmishes between the three states in the nearby territory. I expect the expansion to really start within a year or two after the death of the Monster King in its territory.

If you want to build your own state or maybe just expand the Ceno territory then I think that it would not be that beneficial to kill any of the monster kings until you’re ready to push against the two states. If you are correct with the positions of the Monster Kings then the area in the very center of the wilderness is only slightly more dangerous than here. Maybe you could wait until the underground elves move into the dwarven ruin in mass after which you could offer them a large settlement under your protection on the surface which should give you… let’s say… 1500-2000 people in a few years at the start plus incoming migration of potentially low tens of thousands? They’ve lost their patron goddess; you might as well take up her spot if you want. Then as more people move in, you’d have yourself a capital and a pool of people to inhabit new villages. By pushing north you’d eventually connect with the beastmen’s micro-state and absorb it. Then you could kill the northern king and use underground elf’s remnant military to prop up against Valistrat and Holies expansion, maybe with some of your personal help. After that the rest of expansion is kind of obvious. It’s kind of rough on the edges, but that’s what I think might be the most efficient way to maximize the land gain. Please tell me what you think later.”
>>
>>4112315
In the end of the discussion you gave Rheia a suggestion about the Academy. This immediately got her interest as she got wide eyed from the surprise. “You’re a clever girl, you’d get good education, meet new friends and you’d get a chance to leave the circle of people who know who I am.” “But… that’s so expensive, are you sure? What if I don’t pass?” she asks worryingly. You tell her that it’s fine, a goddess of wisdom literally was in your home today so you don’t think that recommendation would be difficult to get, plus you believe in her. You promise to find out more about the Academies so that she would have the opportunity of making an educated decision, but you will be willing to pay for her and maybe you could even get her a spot in Elspen Academy. It’s the most prestigious academy in Ceno and Sig’s sister actually graduated from there.

With the situation diffused you excuse yourself and take a dip in a hot bath. You didn’t show it, but you were somewhat upset by your friends’ decisions. Yes, they have their very valid reasons, but all you wanted is for your besties to be with you forever and to allow them to accompany you to the more dangerous adventures. But for them it is all a very serious religious subject, it is not something that they can just decide on the spot. Maybe if you manage to solve what’s bothering them then they could join you as Cups? You’ll need to think more about that.

When you get sufficiently soaked and no longer on the edge of cracking up and showing your displeasure, you get dressed and come to visit Mina. She has been quite busy making and installing a new carpet in her home. It turns out that giant wolf hide is not more protective than the normal wolf hides, it is just thicker so it would not work for a cloak well. However, after some intense washing the resulting carpet was incredibly fluffy. You almost wanted to get yourself one too, but then you remembered that it was Mina’s first real giant monster kill and she was very excited so you decided against it. It’s not that much of a trophy if everyone has it after all. You also note a new wooden plaque with giant wolf canines above her fireplace, classy.

You brief her of the situation while you prepare yourself a replacement cape and fix up your armor. This giant blobby leech monster really revealed a big weakness in your approach. All of your attacks are physical in nature. Maybe clobbering it until it dies could have worked eventually, but you might need to look into some other options. Like napalm or high explosives or something. Something useful against stuff that is too huge or regenerates too fast to rip apart with swords or telekinesis. Here goes another entry for your to-do list. Speaking of which, it is getting longer and longer…

>Construction: while no longer constrained by the lack of decent steel, there are still numerous industries that you don’t possess that limit your capabilities: optic glass for chemistry and lab equipment, chemical plant for chemicals, rolling mill for metal sheets or just finishing the expansion slots in the metallurgic plants. And there is also assorted building stuff
>Research: lots of stuff to do here as usual: new techniques, new projects, new ideas, new weapons…
>Exploration: maybe it is time to explore Ceno again? Or maybe see the nearby states?
>Social: you don’t think that most recent event fallout had the time to affect the villagers, but who knows, right?
>Special: time to finally get those beastmen home, but first you need to see if they have a home to come to
>Other: anything else that comes to mind

You decide that it might be a good time to finally get cat- mom Irma and her group of beast- people back home. They’ve been waiting for a while and since you finally have the time you might as well wrap up with that section of your to-do list. Sigh, you really need to invent a better colloquial name for their kind, “beastmen” feels a bit crude, uninspired and a little offensive. They are basically humans with some minor animalistic features such as weird eyes, animal ears or feather arrangements around the ears, some of them have tails and so on. Honestly, back in your time they wouldn’t be too different from some of the newer gene- tweaks, but now they are their own society and they’d like to go home.

To do so, however, you have two problems to solve. First you need to scout out the existence of their settlement. Since they were gone for several years it is possible that the village was destroyed by a monster attack so before you start hauling people you need to see if the end destination still exists. The second problem is how to haul all of them. Walking through the forest is out of the question since it would be too dangerous and it would take months. River access is not ensured either even though it flows in the correct direction. Thus, the only viable option is to go through the air.

You can lift enough weight while flying, your heat rod adventure proved that. However, the flight would probably take several hours and few people would tolerate such things as cold wind, flying bugs, pollen and dust along with the lack of solid ground to stand on. You’re not doing recreational paragliding here; it is more like a minor commercial flight which gives you an idea. Using some of the shipbuilding techniques you make a solid wooden frame reinforced with steel bands where you place and anchor rows of wooden seats. Then you finish the walls with windows and the roof made of steel banded planks forming a pill- shaped rigid fuselage section, the so- called gondola. Inside you place your dwarven lantern since there are no glasses so when the windows are closed it is pretty dark inside.
>>
>>4112658
This primitive… vehicle is an attempt of you to capitalize on your powers. Instead of keeping track of dozens of different objects you can just seal the doors and levitate only this thing which should also keep the discomfort of the passengers to the minimum. After a test flight you manage to figure out the best way to keep it in the air. Basically, imagine that you’re a blimp, the vehicle is a wooden gondola and telekinetic forces are the connecting cables and the lifting force. You push off the ground both relative to you and to the gondola but you also stabilize it relative to you to prevent it from flipping over or leaning needlessly.

On the maiden voyage of your air transport crutch you decide to take Irma and one other guy from her group who used to be a hunter so he probably knows the terrain well. You’ll also take Sigrid with you on this trip for security reasons… or mostly because she expressed her boredom with your method of monster slaying so there might be something new in the area to kill. The people load up in, the doors are locked and you lift off in the presumed direction of the settlement. It is going to be a long trip, just slightly shorter than the trip to Mesino…

The flight takes whole three hours due to the load but eventually the forest ends and Farsalos river continues through the hilly grassland to the north- north- west somewhere towards its birthplace in the Holy nation’s territory. In the distance you see a lone overgrown formation of rocks that has red glowing networks of cracks all over its surface that congregate to a single massive red glowing “gem” at the very top of that mountain. It looks like the mountain itself is slowly moving as if it is breathing. A quick checkup of your memory shows that this is the relative source of the local Monster King sound. You are not sure if this is Monster King lair or if this is the Monster King itself. That red gem uncomfortably reminds you of the core of that Ent creature that you took down. If it is something similar then you’d have to deal with the biggest threat you have ever seen. Literally. Hundreds of times more massive than the “forgotten beast” that you took down earlier in the dwarven ruins. You might need some help for when you plan to take that thing down.

Luckily, the beastman village is fine and dandy, as much as it is possible for those living in the shadow of such giant. The settlement is also not the only one. From your vantage point you can see farmland that spreads all around the area that is clear of the forest and at some point it connects to another village further to the north- east. It looks like beastmen have a small group of different villages that form a tiny civilization of their own. They don’t really have big towns and they live in these scattered communities of around 250 people each, if Irma is to be believed.

From not that high up in the sky you can clearly see a beefy wooden palisade around the target village as well as wattle and daub houses with hay roofs and even some farm animals in the form of several pig pens and chicken coops. These people also seem to be bronze tool users as you can see the clear shine of bronze spearheads in the hands of the guards. You can’t see any nearby features that would indicate mines or smelter equipped smithies so you expect that they trade for them with other settlements that have local production. Unfortunately for you, the Farsalos river is a significant distance away from any of the settlements, requiring several days of walk at least. You wonder why is that. You won’t be able to utilize it for quick travel to these lands.

You along with your gondola are not that inconspicuous and pretty quickly it causes a ruckus in the settlement. You decide not to be an eyesore and start a slow descent towards a clear area in front of one of the gates and by the time you have landed half of the village was outside pointing sharp sticks in your direction from afar. They first saw the giant wooden gondola and only then they saw you as you landed on top of it gently.

A couple of stunned silence seconds later you’ve dropped off the roof of the wooden pill and opened the door letting Irma and her companion to get out and do the diplomacy for you. Their language is very similar to the language of the primitive settlers of the deep forest so you managed to understand almost all of it with little trouble. In hindsight, maybe you should have done the talking. Cat- mom explained that you are a goddess of a different people and that you saved them from slavery and sheltered them until you had the opportunity to return them home. The people slowly one by one drop on their knees as you awkwardly try to discourage them from that activity. But then again, you did fly in with no attempt to be stealthy so that’s what you get.

In any case, after about an hour of very touching reunion of Irma and her husband you’ve finally prepared to set off again. You’ve made the round trip to pick up the rest of her people and by the end of the day you were finally done and ready to cross out the task from your notes. “Return cat- mom’s people back home: check!” Turned out there is not much to fight in this adventure. The number of adorable animal ears though made it worth it. Catgirls are justice! And Sig enjoyed flying, luckily.

And on this note I have to wrap out for today. Thank you, guys, for playing and I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s thread. Feel free to ask questions, give suggestions and discuss. This week’s recommended topic is Haven’s plan of expansion and how we want to deal with the Monster Kings
>>

Whoops, wrong pic

>>4112928
If that is one, or the lair we are in deep trouble
Good thing they didn't come for us personally, cause it looks like we would need an artillery barrage just to hurt it.
Anyway, thanks for running and see ya next week
>>
>>4112928
good taste Ag, catgirls are indeed justice, we should fashion some cat ears for someone to wear during....well...

shame Sig didn't get to swing her sword but at least flying was fun!
>>
>>4112928
Regarding the whole expansion plan, I feel like it would be a good thing to remind you guys that the underground elves are a theocracy with a ruling priest class. They are also their own full fledged minor civilization. It would pose issues with both rapidly adopting democratic government structure and joining Cenophila as a whole. They might be easier to handle from the position of “being a god”. Just a thing to take into account.

just finished catching up, new reader get
we should look to developing industry as an important goal. also need to make sure we're training our workforce how to operate/build/concepts behind said machinery. at the same time we need to learn new psi manipulation techniques/abilities, like that teleport technique that really seems to come in handy

oocly, do we have omega psi, like Nike and elspeth? it kinda sounds like it, but we haven't shown any mind manipulation techniques, just variants of telekinesis/that one interdimensional one
>>
>>4116153
Becoming somewhat of a goddess to the dark elves will probably become almost natural, they are religious but godless, we just defeated a fucking huge monster and brokered a deal to give them a new home, a safer one, and of course, we can fly and do all sorts of godly stuff

I want to incorporate them into our plans of state building
>>
>>4120934
Welcome dude

Regarding industry, our next step should be getting people that can operate the factories we built, everything is kinda Ag dependent so we need to get at least some teachers and instructors to the peoole of farsalos
>>
>>4121490
This + stamped metal and higher grade lathes. Add a little smokeless powder and we resurrect the greatest of kalashnikov's creations
>>
>>4121752
His Borscht recipe?
>>
>>4120934
Well, that's a bit of a spoiler, but...

a) Nike' doesn't have Omega psi, she has spacetime psi and illusions. Many characters have several separate psi powers. Only Elspeth out of all currently known characters has omega psi which is her own homebrew blend of numerous separate psi powers. I massively reworked the mechanics compared to the CYOA separating Genesis from Omega in addition to who has what, just fyi. There is also Genesis and Terminus but I'll leave that for the story. I’ll only say that they are an extension of “base psi” which everyone who has psi possesses and the names are pretty descriptive to what they do.

b) Ag doesn't have omega psi, but she potentially lacks the upper ceiling for her power potential. If she can learn things from outside of her spacetime or general psi "skill trees", these "spells" would be very basic and inefficient. Aka maybe she could manage to light a cigarette with her finger but she won’t be throwing fireballs anytime soon. It would always be proportionately worse than equal effort of specialists or even artifacts like the gauntlet.

Regarding mind stuff, Ag has some “firewalls” in place there and she can tune into psi transmissions if they are not directional. Psi link with a cup bearer could be an example of Ag getting a sort of mind manipulation ability. Regarding mind manipulation psi in general, Ag has no aptitude for such thing which is the reason why she didn’t have the choice to pick it up at the beginning. Psi specializations sometimes require a certain type of person (or the other way around).

While we’re at it, I’d like to mention the current short-term list of industries so that everyone has an idea of what I have in mind (since we never really see it all because no one votes for the list itself):

Mining and refining:
>Mines and transportation: because duh. Apply steam power, tools, roads and people for better yields. Currently processing power outpaces mining speed
>T1 Chemical industry: required for ALL of the basic chemical manufacturing and storage such as acids. Once it is done high explosives, smokeless gunpowder and primers would be set as separate special projects in their separate factories for the sake of safety. Mandatory for later creation of pharmaceuticals, petrochemical refining and polymer producing plants
>Optic glass industry: makes transparent glass. Nice for windows but mainly required in chemical industry, pharma and scientific instruments. Mandatory for early electronics. With tier 1 chemicals unlocks scientific instrument lab which is needed for mortal education and general bootstrapping
>Petrolchemical refinery: Turns oil and coal tar into different chemicals that are utilized in a wide variety of industries. From fuels to mineral oils to polymerization feedstock. Requires rolling plant
>Polymer plant: Turns a variety of different feedstocks (both petrol based and not) into a wide range of plastics and rubbers along with housing a vulcanization furnace. Useful for insulation and a variety of mechanisms that deal with liquids, pressure and moving parts such as steam engines

Forming:
>Stamping plant: creates large volumes of parts through hydraulic pressing of metal into shapes or through blanking. Incredibly cheap method to make lots of similar objects but high costs of the stamping dies. Useful for lots of different parts of relatively small size like gears. Mandatory for cased ammunition.
>Casting plant: creates mostly large parts through casting method. Mandatory for cannons but can be used for anything from bells to hull parts of armored vehicles. If its big, metal and monolithic it needs a casting plant
>Rolling plant: creates large volumes of predetermined sub products such as metal sheets, bars, beams and so on. Required for large scale and higher tech manufacturing or for further processing. Required for high pressure steam engines
>>
>>4122228
Specialized manufacturing:
>Arsenal: special workshop designed specifically for production of firearms and munitions. Includes lots of lathes that require lots of workers for efficient manufacturing. Produces flintlocks, caplocks if cap special project is complete (they fail less due to environmental conditions), cartridge firearms if stamping plant, caps and smokeless powder is complete
>Artillery factory: special workshop designed for production of artillery systems and other generally heavy armaments along with their munitions. Unlocked by high explosives and caps plus eats lots of high-grade alloy steel. Not needed for Napoleonic cannons since those are made in casting plants
>Lab equipment workshop: workshop designed for production of high precision instruments such as optical equipment, chemical/medical equipment and early electronics. Required to deal with some precision-based limitations to bootstrapping along with niche but useful equipment some of which is mandatory for certain projects and for switching certain plants to full mortal operation.
>Common workshop: community building that houses a number of advanced lathes along with a variety of other powered workbenches and tools to allow access to the production means for mortals. Requires a steam engine and training to utilize properly
>Pharma factory: factory designed to produce a large array of various tools and chemicals that are utilized in treatments of wounds and illnesses. Ethanol, antibiotics, sterile masks, syringes and other simple to mass manufacture goods of pharmaceutical industries. Relies on existing glass and chemical industry
>Specialized machinery plant: factory geared for a mass production of complex and high precision mechanism used in a creation of one specific type of item. Required to mass produce advanced tools but can be ignored for small batches. For example: pneumatic powered tools, traction engines, mechanical computers and so on.
>>
>>4122228
so by this chart if we wanted to mass produce medium caliber automatic firearms for our villagers/export we would need
>T1 Chemical industry (modern gunpowder production)
>Stamping Plant (firearm parts/cartridge construction)
>Arsenal (firearm assembly/barrel production)
>Specialized Machinery plant (firearm parts)
right?

also we would need to do research/ask other SGs how exactly ceilings react to what. we don't want our entire industrial sector getting hit by rods from god or somesuch. the irony, rods from god

in order to support what I have hypothesized, what are we looking at in terms of mine expansion? Worker training? should I ask these kinds of things while we're live instead?
>>
>>4122282
We don’t need a machinery plant for them. Firearms are produced in- house by the arsenal. We do need to build caps and gunpowder factories after T1 chemical.

I apparently forgot textiles industry and artificial textiles out of all things. So yeah, list is not exhaustive

Regarding the Ceilings we know quite a bit already. Ceilings are an incredibly powerful type of monster that tracks technosignatures and has worldwide reach. There used to be Ceilings that track heat sources, pollution, EM transmissions and many other signatures, but currently only EM seekers remain and in relatively low numbers. Avoiding coherent EM emissions such as radio or radar should do the trick along with general shielding of electronics. They can’t be too sensitive since Ag has a millimeter range radar in her body already as one of her sensory organs.

However, many kinds of local monsters still remain and many of them can search for anything including population densities. Luckily local wilderness has limited space and resources to support high monster populations so they won’t be able to bury Farsalos world war Z style. As Ag’s industrial base grows monster attacks would become more common and directed but people would have more tools to fight them. It also takes time for some signatures to propagate and for monsters to mount coherent attacks so it’s a question of being ahead of the curve or just being there to plug in the gaps.

Regarding the mines, it is a complicated thing. First of all, tool material doesn’t improve mining efficiency, it is not Minecraft. We can personally mine without any assistance, but to exploit certain resources through mortal labor we need to build mines and quarries. In the current age throwing more people at the mine would increase its efficiency so more miners means more ore.

The second issue with mining is transportation. If we build mines in the Limestone Basin we would need to set up some kind of transportation system which can start as a few carts and horses and end up as a railroad. If the transportation is not up for the task it would become a bottleneck for mining in the region. It does not apply to locally exploited resources that handles its own transportation through proximity.
>>
>>4124143
The following near term technologies would increase mining yield:

A) Steam engines: allow to mechanize individual mines automating the process of hauling ore to the surface and pumping out water while pumping air in which increases output and makes the resource node more viable.
B) Pneumatic tools: first power tools available for production. A variety of mechanisms powered by a compressor that runs off a steam engine. Lowers the physical requirements for labor and increases excavation yield.
C) Explosives: rapidly shatters large volumes of rock massively boosting excavation yields and speed. Dangerous, especially for newbie miners. However output volume increase is very much worth the risks and mining in general is a dangerous job anyway.
D) Traction engines: early steam tractors. Revolutionizes transportation and can house heavy versions of power tools. Unfortunately they are useful exclusively in open mines and quarries
E) Excavators: massive steel monsters that singlehandedly outperform lower tech miners in open air quarries. Incredibly expensive and require tech at the edge of what’s currently viable
>>
>>4124148
Mining should be good for our people, we should find a way to transport maybe

Can we make a river transport, for the majority of the way at least?

With all of the beastmen delivered from Farsalos back to their homes your importance was very clearly understood and thus, predictably, the “village assembly” wanted a few words with you. Apparently the Ripiansi, the “remaining people” as they call themselves, don’t have a village chief instead having a group of most prominent members that act together to make decisions. They mainly wanted to know if you wanted something from them in exchange for saving their people. After trying to politely and awkwardly refuse you decided to tell them that some information would be a nice payment.

Mainly, you were curious about how they manage to survive in the shadow of that giant creature on the horizon. Apparently local monsters are very prone to seeking out large concentrations of people. There used to be a Ripiansi town of sorts but it was destroyed generations ago and thus they maintain strict controls over their population density. No more than about 250 people per village. This doesn’t negate monster attacks but it significantly lowers the chance of a village getting attacked. Plus, the numbers of the villages mean that they don’t put all eggs in one basket anyway. The “Mountain Demon”, as they call it, doesn’t really move but it sometimes produces loud noises and glows. In their legends, it moved once to wipe out their capital and another time more recently where it rampaged through a human army from the east. Apparently, they are aware of Valistrat, however local monsters create a natural barrier between the beastmen and them which is why they are not absorbed yet.

The area around the river is not colonized due to a very territorial population of aquatic monsters which hunt and kill any person that gets too close. This is unfortunate since it limits the possible trade paths between Farsalos and Ripiansi. You are too busy to do charter flights between the two villages after all. The western bank of the river also sees higher population of large monsters which is probably why Holy Nation can’t expand this way either. The borders of Valistrat and Holies do meet further to the North but there is the Mountain Demon and whatever lives on it between beastmen and the disputed territories.
>>
>>4125627
The village assembly had some questions on their own. Their people are animists but they are familiar with the concept of gods from the few contacts with Valistrat that they had. They wondered if you wanted them to worship you like the others did, but you politely refuse explaining that you don’t demand worship from anyone. Then you had some discussion about the deep forest inhabitants, about Farsalos and Cenophila and so on and so forth. While the concept of large settlements concerns these people, the land that is safer and more developed along with some steel tool gifts from your part piques some interest. It is likely that they would be interested in trade once such opportunity arises.

In the end you participate in a small celebration for the return of the long missing beastmen. It was not a big event, just some food, music and talking. You think that you absent mindedly gave head pats to some kid with husky ears who approached you with curiosity while you were observing the event. These people also brew a far more decent ale than what’s common in Ceno, which is nice. Once the small party was over you and Sig flew back to Farsalos. With the beastmen out of the way you no longer have anything that is as time sensitive on your hands, which means it is time to once again pick a project

>Construction: time to build new stuff again! Industries, defenses, settlements, statues in our name and so on

It would work for cases when mining happens near to the river. There is no waterway between Farsalos and Limestone Basin so it won't work there

Invite Haven for a trip to Mirangi, to hire some professionals and and get some materials for Rheia's academy induction

Ok, we have one for general social, one for research, one for starting on Rheia's education and one on looking into dark elves more. Looks like everyone wants their own thing lol. Since two of the options are more or less defined, I'll start a second separate vote on them. Please pick one:

>Go to a polis to prepare Rheia for exams
>Go to the ruin to help dark elves to set up
>>
>>4125680
That's good. We already have a road to the entrance right?
We can invite some of them over for a welcome party in Farsalos and offer some tools and trade, make them feel welcome on the neighborhood

>Go to the ruin to help dark elves to set up

Let's go to the elves, bring Claudinia to help on firat contact and Haven to do that usual keeping an eye on what they are talking or doing behind our backs to get a feel of how they feel about us

then lets to the dark elves one, Rheia is probably gonna need more time to get used to the idea and to learn and to possibly convince her mother, even if she might jump if we show up

>Go to a polis to prepare Rheia for exams
Can we at least order some study materials from a merchant and tell him that Farsalos is hirong and if he could pass the word out for us

It is a good point to start working on the underground elves. Some have already arrived to the ruined underhome and the cleanup should be close to completion which means that they still need basically everything. From housing to tools and workforce. Thus, it is a great opportunity to introduce yourself and your “services”. To start off, you want to prepare a load of various steel tools to help the recovery crews. While dwarves have some access to steel, they can’t produce pure steel industrially like you can so the steel tools are pretty expensive. In addition, you prepare to take a significant haul of food packing everything in several separate carts. You have a road straight to the Labyrinth, you might as well use it as intended.

Along for the trip you are going to take Claudina and Haven. You’re taking Claudina because she is an Ihmisetian underground elf herself so she would provide credibility to your proposal of a potential surface settlement. She has also been worried for her people so this is a trip not only for you but also for her sake. Haven is coming along because she has proven herself as an excellent diplomat and you trust that she might find something that you’d miss during the discussion.

On the next morning you set off from Farsalos and head to the Labyrinth gates. Using your elevator for once, you lower your friends and goods down towards the gate and inspect it for damage. Luckily nothing tried to scratch upon it since the last time. Hopefully this means that big monsters rarely wander to this place. You open the enormous doors and head into the depths once more.

On your way down you were pleasantly surprised by not running into any more of those ghoul creatures. Hopefully with the eradication of their nearest lair the threat is gone. You do notice some… webs deep down the middle tunnel that heads to the goblin occupied villages. They form a net of sorts preventing travel through that tunnel without disturbing them and they are almost invisible in the dark. You barely noticed them. You remember that you saw several corpses of the spider- centaurs in the ghoul pile so maybe they are the source of these things, but you kind of don’t want to check that now… or any time soon. You don’t like spiders. You’re not arachnophobic but you just don’t like them…

Once you arrive to the destroyed bridge you are surprised to see one of the dark elves clad in an armor made from purple plastic- like substance along with a spear with a ceramic tip similar to Claudina’s knife standing watch. There is also a wooden bridge section in the form of several wooden planks nailed together. It is designed to fit over the hole but it is currently leaning on the wall on the other side of the crack.

“Halt! By the orders of Lower Priestess Amiya this ruin is of critical importance to the Ihmisetian Remnant. Identify yourselves and state your goal for being here!” Oh, so the refugees consolidated somewhat. Nice, this would make some things easier. But what should you tell him?

“I am Agatha. My team vanquished the monster that destroyed this city and brokered the deal with the dwarves for your occupation.” You say calmly to the guard after which he pauses for a moment and replies “Ah yes, I was told that you might come by the dwarven representatives. You and your companions are free to enter.” After that he leans his spear on the wall and tilts up the wooden boards awkwardly moving the structure towards the destroyed bridge. You sigh and say “Let me help” as you apply some telekinesis to float it into position faster which slightly startled the guard.

“…did you?!” he stutters as he slips and drops on his butt as the board is moved out of his hands with little warning. “Yeah, there is a reason to why I managed to beat such a creature.” You reply with a smile and help him up. He then quickly moves out of the way as you have to levitate the carriages across. You don’t trust the wooden bridge to handle the weight. “Great Aino, you are not just a wizard, are you?” to which you reply with a nod and continue onwards with your companions. The guard stays on his post.

The ruin has changed quite a bit in the recent couple of months. It seems that some kind of a delegation has arrived that consists entirely out of the underground elves. There are now almost 600 elves laboring in the area. They seem to live in rapidly constructed barracks on the opposite side of the former fortress as the stone rubble takes a lot of time to remove. Luckily all the skeletons are gone, they were really messing with your nerves. There are some dwarves in the mix, but they are few and they live in a separate and small tent city some distance away from the elven buildings. Looks like they were mostly here for the riches and they don’t want to get their hands too dirty with massive repair effort that is needed. Maybe more would arrive later, but now it feels like they are partially abandoning the recovery effort. Maybe the kings managed to get an agreement with the remaining elven rulers?

One of the new fungiwood buildings in the area is of a suspiciously round layout and has guards surrounding the entrance. Claudina suspects that this is where the elven leadership probably sits. Apparently, it is customary for places of prayer to have circular layout in the Ihmisetian culture. Thus, this is your next destination. On your way you ask Claudina about who the Lower Priestess is. Apparently, the Lower Priests are a type of local religious leader for the minor hamlets around the former Town. It is likely that many of them survived since they were outside of the epicenter of the catastrophe. Thus, they probably lead most of the bigger exodus groups. This means that at least one of those groups seriously considers this site to be their best bet. Good to know.
>>
>>4126103
You approach the circular building while attracting all of the attention of the elves. You decided that there is no reason to hide your powers which means your group is followed by self- moving carts. By the time you make your way to the entrance the guards have already notified whoever is inside and a beautiful Ihmisetian woman wearing royal purple colored robes walks out to greet you… along with basically all of the guards who were in the area. She has black hair tied into a neat bun and on her face she has some kind of fluorescent paint in which she has some shapes below her eyes along with a lot of seemingly random dots that make it looks like freckles. It almost feels like it was intended to portray the starry night sky on her dark skin.

“Huntress Agatha, I expected that we’d meet at some point in our lives. My name is Amiya, I am the shepherd of these people, trying to guide them after our downfall. For we sinned, our Goddess has abandoned us.” She says in a somber tone not smiling once. She looks as if she has been crying recently, maybe it was for one of her rituals. “I’ve heard that you’ve cleared this ruin from the monster and petitioned for us to be allowed to move in. We are all very thankful for that and we will keep your deeds in the Archive of Legends, once it is rebuilt. I assume that you are here to discuss the further relationship with the surface world, yes?”

>I came here bearing gifts. I wish to offer my assistance in the cleanup effort so that you may settle in quicker

“I came here bearing these gifts” you say as you point at your carts “and I wish to help you to settle in faster. In addition, I want to discuss the contact with the surface. The ghoul hive was cleared out so the short trip should be much safer now”. You didn’t expect the settlement to grow so quickly so your food and tool estimates were off massively, but it still should help them and the priestess graciously accepts your gifts.

Priestess Amiya is a very well-mannered lady that is nice to talk to. You can’t take your gaze off her deep golden eyes while you speak, but you feel as if she is strongly weighted down by something. It is probably due to how the fall of their civilization was interpreted by her. You find out that the barrier that protected them from the monsters has fallen along with the capital which was in her and many other priests’ opinion a “clear sign” of their patron’s disillusion over her people. Apparently, most of the groups attempted to remain in the Town area at first, but the monster attacks got more and more dire which forced them to evacuate.

You introduce her to Claudina and tell her story. She is the first Ihmisetian elf that you’ve encountered as she managed to traverse the treacherous Labyrinth after she fled the destruction of the Town on her own. She is how you’ve learned of the calamity and the reason why you suggested the refuge for the dark elves to the dwarven king back then. Amiya is very interested and asks Claudina to stay for a talk later.

You were curious to what happened to the forgotten beast’s remains. Apparently, it was mostly disposed of since it had no real value and dwarves wanted a piece of it in each of their underhomes for trophy purposes, but its head and skeleton were kept around. The idea was that it would get taxidermized and preserved once it becomes possible since it would be a major part of the settlement’s history. It would probably get turned into a public statue or something once the city takes shape.
>>
>>4127574
Then the talk has shifted to the reason for why you came here. The surface. The trip between the dwarven fortress and the Labyrinth Gate is very short by all standards. It is just a 30-minute walk at most with only one node that splits off to the other lava tubes giving you a convenient choke point for possible fortification later. Thus, it might be time to open the path for general travel between Farsalos and the ruin. Priestess replies that she has sent several scouting parties lately to map the nearby Labyrinth and she is still waiting for reports. She also thinks that trade would be a nice boon for the future development of their new home, but they are way too far from producing anything worth trading for.

Then you propose that maybe some or even all elves could emigrate to the surface. The border region is rich in resources, relatively easy to farm and you can provide both the protection and housing, something that they are in a relatively short supply of at the moment judging by all the barracks. She says that she is not opposed to the idea of living on the surface, after all Claudina has been doing it for over a year now, but she sees a lot of problems with this plan.

First of all, according to the dwarves, Farsalos is a rich but small settlement in the border region of Cenophila right on the edge of the wilderness. This means that it could not possibly accommodate more than low hundreds of elves if she gets optimistic and if the village is willing to stretch its resources. However, the Remnant is planning to slowly transport the majority of the bigger survivor groups to the ruin as it gets more and more established which means tens of thousands of people. No city in Ceno could absorb that many people easily, not even Polises, speaking less of a small village. Thus, either this offer is like a drop in the sea or elves would be forced to build their own homes in the wilderness which means higher and higher risk of monster attacks as population increases. Here they are in a sealed environment with few controllable chokepoints. On the surface their people would be more exposed than even in the Labyrinth. She can see that maybe it might be possible to form a farming outpost on the surface which might be less risky than trying to beat up the goblin infested territories with the remnants of their army, but she can’t see that happening any time soon.
>>
>>4127579
In addition, while the elves lost their home, not all of them have lost their pride. Many of them, including her, don’t wish to just be absorbed into an existing state. Ihmisetian Remnant’s goal is to rebuild their nation, not to get absorbed by someone else. Those who wished to leave have already done so by leaving towards Teryia.

It seems that your telekinetic carts don’t look godlike enough. While priestess considers you a strong warrior, she doesn’t think that you are capable of taking care of all of her people. In that regard she sees you as the leader or maybe a spokesperson of Farsalos village, no more.

Alright, writing. Might take a bit, gonna go refuel real quick

You think for a moment and say: “What if, hypothetically speaking, Ihmisetians don’t have to build anything themselves. Would it be easier to move to the surface if all the housing, amenities and defenses were done for you?” The priestess snorts supressing a small laughter and replies “Well, that would make things way easier, yes, but it’s not like that would ever happen, right? We can’t wish for our goddess to come back to us and do our work for ourselves and I doubt that Farsalos could handle a construction project of such scale in any reasonable timespan.”

“Wish and you shall receive” you tell her as you slowly float up into the air to the astonishment of everyone involved. “Let me introduce myself properly, I’m Agatha and I am the Outsider. Essentially a goddess without a pantheon or following. I can personally guarantee my support of your people if you wish to live on the surface with me. If you express your wishes to do so I will personally construct a new city to house all of your people who wish to move and I don’t demand any worship for this. I just wish to help you.” What follows is almost half a minute of stunned silence as you wait for them to respond while floating half a meter above the ground while in parade rest, after which you continue: “You don’t have to make the choice now. You know where to find me and I’ll leave this option open for you. In the meantime, I’ll help you with some cleanup.” After making sure that Claudina and Haven have got this, you float into the air and head for the ruined city.

Dwarves really like their masonry it seems. Almost all of their buildings in the city used to be built out of nice basalt stone brick with fungiwood internal structures and reinforcements. Unfortunately, with the monster attack and the fires most of the buildings collapsed as their supports were incinerated leaving huge pieces of walls shattered into large and heavy chunks. While it is possible to recycle them, the chunks are too heavy for a human to lift which means the cleanup is going slowly and requires a ton of people. Luckily for your telekinesis doesn’t care about such issues so you can easily shake the wall chunks into pieces getting rid of mortar and leaving only the useful bricks behind. With a few hours of work, you’ll save the repair crew months. But you can do so much more.
>>
>>4127690
With a few quick trips to the surface you can procure enough materials to start restorations of some major infrastructure of the city. You can focus your attention to the lower city to clear the largest amount of land and build lots of homes there recycling what you can. Upper city is made out of higher proportion of stone, but it houses several large governmental buildings. You don’t know what they did, but elves and dwarves surely would find a use for them.

Then there are sewers and waterways. With the collapsing architecture some sections of the severs became blocked with stone debris while several towers and wall sections collapsed into the river making boat access challenging. By fixing both of those issues and restoring the docks you should improve the access of the ruin to the rest of the dwarven territories.

Then there are the defenses. The monster rampaged through the fortress constructed on the lower entrance to the cavern. The walls and towers require major reconstruction and the emergency sealing mechanism is completely jammed. It would take years to fix it properly but you can spend a few days and restore it so that the elven military can start planning to retake the lost farmsteads.

The last on your list is the forges. By being blown up and flooded with molten mythic metal the cleanup of this area is promising to take a while even for you, but dwarves would appreciate the restoration of their industries.

>Clear out most of the surface rubble. They can build their own stuff (couple of days)
>Lower City (2 weeks): clean out the residential area and restore housing blocks for low thousands of people
>Higher City (2 weeks): clean out the noble and administrative area and restore the administrative buildings and temples
>Waterways and sewers (1 week): clean out and repair the access to sanitation and shipping
>Defenses (2 weeks): Fix the damaged walls and repair the sealing mechanism
>Forges (3 weeks): clean up the slag spill and repair the metallurgic industry

While also clearing some dirt, with thos they can house feed and keep healthy a good number of people and it should be a very big demonstration of what we can do.

Make occasional trips to Farsalos to check up on them, 1 or 2 should be fine

And tell Haven to be our ears while we work.

Ask Claudinia later what they talked to her too.

Sit and have a pleasant afternoon tea with the priestess some time, I'm sure she will have a lot of questions

Maybe a tiny part of the forges too? Just so the elves can get started, they won't need the whole thing now

In the forges the Mythic Smelter blew up so the entire area is covered in slag. Cleanup is kind of mandatory before anything can be done to it

Hey, in one of those trips to Farsalos maybe we can pick up Sig so she can help the local soldiers, they are probably cleaning up goblins and those spider things to make the area safer and she would be a huge help and its good experience for her
>>
>>4127734
Goblin cleanup won't start until Remnant's military arrives, in addition we have no idea what the spider things are. It might not be smart to just throw people at the webs

the spiders are something to investigate then, ok

The situation is a mess and you decided that you will have to spend the next five weeks fixing everything if you want to make any significant impact. You need to rebuild the houses, fix the sewers, fish out rubble from the river and patch up all of the defenses and for that you’ll need materials. You spend the first several days processing rubble into bricks. Most of it was intact, but in the end, you still had to make multiple trips to the surface and mine in your improvised quarry for a while until you had enough stuff to start building. You also had to do constant trips for wooden parts, cast iron, mortar and so on. It gave you an excuse to check up on Farsalos every couple of days and to allow Claudina and Haven to travel with you to the surface and back. They probably wouldn’t fare well here for over a month without that.

You start with the sewers. With the surface cleaned up and nothing yet built this allows you to partially disassemble streets in the collapsed areas to extract the rubble quicker and to replace the masonry work which allowed you to improve structural integrity of the areas with the sewers. Then you had to fish out the bits of the towers from the river. As much as you’ve tried, you ended up with an enormous pile of construction waste from the broken bricks that couldn’t be reused so you had to make a load of trips to dump it all somewhere on the surface. In the end the sewers were working, the river was no longer resembling an “extreme kayak adventure” and the dock area was also restored to its former glory which should allow easier access of this settlement to the ships which should hopefully speed up the immigration. Unfortunately, while you repaired the city wells and aqueducts, the superstructure would not allow for running water without massive remodeling.

Then you go for the housing. Dwarves are expert masons and most of the foundations of many buildings survived the demolition of the buildings themselves. This combined with the huge amount of basalt bricks meant that there would be no delays. You ended up assembling just shy of a thousand various houses from small two-story apartments to four story buildings loosely based off of your designs in Ghape and Limestone Basin where the spots allowed it. Your architectural taste differs quite a bit from dwarven blocky square shapes, but it should do the trick for now allowing the elves to settle into the personal quarters. You didn’t have the time or need to fill up the entire Lower City area since there weren’t enough people yet. This is still more than enough for two times the current population and they can build the rest themselves.

Then you decided to do something with defenses. First of all, you fixed the gaping holes in the city walls since they were bugging you. Funny enough, you’ve found a splatter of your whiteish blood on a head shaped dent in one of the blocks that compiled the top of one of the towers. Ahaha, whoops, that was painful. In any case, dwarves utilize large roughly one by two by half meter blocks of basalt for their fortress which meant that the massive stock of stone bricks would not be as useful. You recycled some stuff from what you fished out of the river, but you ended up doing hundreds of trips to ship in enough materials to restore the damaged wall sections and towers in both the city wall and the main entrance keep. You’ve also installed a massive steel reinforced wooden gate at both entrances and repaired the collapsed stone bridge to make the travel easier.

The issues started when it came time to work on the drowning chamber and the emergency sealing mechanism. The problem was mainly in the fact that they used a stone block too huge and monolithic for you to lift with your raw power. It was quite surprising for you, but apparently meter thick slab of dense rock weighs a lot more than building subassemblies. You do manage to repair the very complicated mechanism of pulleys and gears above it, but it was definitely designed by dwarves. All access tunnels are freaking tiny and you got embarrassingly stuck on several occasions while working inside of it.

The main damage was caused to the pulley system. Apparently infernostrand ropes, while having impressive tensile strength, really hate the shockwave that was produced by the impact of the slab. Many ropes snapped or fanned out into a mess. You ended up manually spinning over a kilometer of steel cables to replace this crap. Honestly, you are surprised it worked at all, it feels almost as if it was built on instinct with no allowance for wear and tear at the edge of what the material was capable of.

Then you repaired the two gates of the drowning chamber along with the floodgates and the aqueduct system leading from the river to the flooding chamber’s holding tank. Basically, the mechanism is really simple in principle but not execution. One side of the chamber has six floodgates that are just slabs of stone inserted into finely cut out slots. The pulley mechanism pulls the slabs up which opens the path for the water to flow in from a separate chamber that gets filled up with river water. It is measured specifically in a way to completely fill up the chamber and iron bars prevent anything from getting through the floodgates into the tanks. The floor of this drowning chamber contains myriad of drilled holes that lead to a duplicate of the floodgate system that opens in a layer below the trap and slowly drains the water from the chamber into a bunch of random lava tubes situated below this assembly. This entire mess is surrounded by complicated pulley, energy storage and force amplification primitive machinery making this thing the most overcomplicated mess of a defensive structure you have ever seen. Next time it breaks, you’ll leave it to the dwarves to fix, bloody hell.

During the construction you managed to cut out a few minutes to talk to Claudina regarding her talk with the priestess. She says that the priestess was mainly curious about you. Who, or more accurately after your power display, what you are. Your possible motivations, previous actions and so on. Claudina told her everything that she knew and she hopes that you’re not angry about it. You weren’t angry, to be clear. You expected this. After all, this is one of her spiritual leaders.

Haven unfortunately didn’t manage to get much for you. As much as she tried, she looks too different from an Ihmisetian and everyone remembered her after your stunt. No one spoke freely around her and all that she managed to find out is from the dwarves. Basically, the Remnant managed to get themselves temporary rights over the ruin for the next 60 years. They would build up and then they planned to slowly expand and migrate to the surface leaving the now rebuilt ruin to the dwarves in exchange for this right. So, this is likely that they’d accept your proposal sooner, nice. There is also stuff about body recovery and restoration priorities and so on but you basically smashed the schedule by several years.

In the end, you pay a visit to the priestess and invite her for some tea that you’ve… bought from Claudina. You figured it should make them feel more at home. Amiya graciously accepts but she looks… nervous around you. “I believe you now, goddess Agatha. And I’d like to thank you on behalf of my people for all that you’ve done over the last month. This should really help with the morale of the survivors. I’ve been thinking over your proposal and I’ve sent the message to the other Remnant groups, but I haven’t received their reply yet. I really hope that my group won’t get excommunicated for what I proposed, but would you by chance accept Ihmisetians under your patronage?

When Great Goddess Aino left us, she gave us the goal of maintaining our society for as long as we were alive. But we had no guidance from her for over two hundred years. We became stagnant and many of us think that this is the reason for our downfall. Some even think that this is a test of sorts from Aino herself. A buried trap to purge our ranks from the stale and push us towards change. However, now we are like clueless children thrown out of our cradles. We know not how to live by ourselves. If the Remnant agrees, would you please guide us as Aino did all those generations ago? We would be very thankful.”

>Of course, I will do what I can for your people to prosper
>I will give you my hand and guidance, but your lives are yours to live
>What I do is voluntary, I intend not to rule and I don’t need followers
>Other?
