Everything happened so fast. Before all of this, you were Freya Godsblood, princess of Ordamark, and you were the most beautiful women in the land. But everything changed for you, as you've caught the eye of the Dark Lord Lazarus Drack who, seeing you, decided to claim you as his wife.

Now, you are his Empress, the Dark Queen Freya Drack, and your reign has just begun.

Last time, you spent some times with Gweyr in the city during the day, and the following week the centaurs living close to your eastern borders joined your empire. The Spymaster came back from his mission and gave you a full report on what he discovered.A mage from the MRC arrived and taught you an illusion spell to hide facial features such as ears and eyes. You then had a little conversation with the gods in the Realm of Dreams.

- - - -

Today is a sunny day. Despite the fact that it has not yet been spring, the temperature is mild and it has not snowed for a few days, people are already talking about a very good year for the harvest.
You wake up in a very good mood, and after a good breakfast you go on about your day. You decided to spend some time with Ruriska, so you invited her to have tea in the garden, as you are relaxing together you start discussing.

>"Say Ruriska, I was wondering what you think of the blessing I received." you say.

>"You mean the elf ears and all that ? I think it's great you have the support of the gods, and if it gives you any kind of advantages then all the better." she replies.

>"And on a more personal view ?" you inquire.

>". . . I think it's cute on you. Even by elven standard, you are a beauty, I'm sure you would have a lot knights and young lord trying to woo you if you were a high elf princess, and you would gain a lot of power if you were a dark elf matriarch." you tell her.

Do you ask or say something else ?

Russland and the Highlands could be a possible conquest ?
>>
>>4077160
For now i would say no since we will have our hands full with the south soon and we have our spies see what each of the Three princes of Russland is up to and see who will be the best puppet/allie/vassalge or simple let one rule it and we integrate it as part of the north. There might be a bigger problem with the hord that one of them is talking to which could become a big problem.
As for the Highlands first we don`t have the ships for something like this as our first ship will patrol and secure our waters as we simply don`t have a single hip right now and secound it doesn`t seem that they would be easy to subjugate so for now it would be more trouble than it's worth.

>"Now, on a more serious matter, how ready are the Saboteurs and the Guerrillas ?" you ask her.

>"The Guerillas are ready, that much is certain. They are used to this way of fighting since it was how they fought against the Northern kingdoms before, what they lacked was discipline and organisation but they learned quickly. The saboteurs were another batch of issues, since most of them were farmers. Luckily there was a couple of hunters and foresters with knowledge of survival out in the wild, so with them as starting point I was able to whip them into shape." she replies.

>"So, do you think they are ready for their first mission ?" you inquire.

>"As a general and as your friend I'll say . . . Perhaps . . . They are combat ready, with all the skills needed to accomplish their mission, but even with all the training in the world, we can't really know for certain until we send them south and see the results." she says.

>"I see. Well, you are right, we'll need to see what they are capable of. Now tell me Ruri, what do you think of the last 2 years ? The north changed a lot and you saw the changes directly." you tell her.

>"Did you just call me . . . Nevermind. Those past 2 years are probably the most prosperous the north experienced in a long, long time. I'm only 43, really young for a dark elf, but I can tell you that from the point of view the common man, those two years are a blessing. No yearly war between lords, even if the last war was a magnificent bloodbath, ensuring that there is more food now, along with a steady supply of goods. The people don't care about the game of politics, and when you and our lord showed that you either played with your own rules, or discarded the rules all together, it gave people hope that things were going to change. You should keep going that way." she explains.

That's great, you were aware that the common people loved you, and your decisions helped them a lot overcoming the struggles of their lives. . . . Now there is only one thing that isn't sitting well with you, and it's the fact that Ruriska wasn't that upset at you when you called her Ruri. It's time to tease her a little more.

>"How are things going with your little Dillon." you nonchalantly ask.

>"Oh, it's going really well, thank you. He introduced me to his parents during the End-Year Celebration, and I believe it went smoothly. I am also proud of how fast he is learning, studying diligently to become a great officer of the Legions of Drack."

You raise an eyebrow at her, she is sipping her cup of tea with a smile, not so smug, but she's proud of the fact she's not bothered by your questions.

It's best to go with the most obvious choice for teasing.

>"And how are things between him, Emelyne, Adeleine and Isabella ?" you ask with a smile.

Suddenly, Ruriska goes wide eyed and start choking on her tea, spilling some on her and coughing violently.

>*Cough*What ? The-there is nothing between them *Cough-Cough* You-you mean, there is something between them ?" she stammers

This time it's you that smile smugly at her. She looks at you without saying anything, then blushes and let out a long groan, which make her cough again. You let her calm down, and after a couple of minutes she takes a deep breath before speaking again.

>"Truth is, there is something I wanted to ask you, as a friend, about Dillon and the girls." she admits.

>"Me ? It depends. How are you getting along with the three of them, since you are quite obviously are in love with our little Dillon." you say.

>"Yeah, that's about it. I don't hate them, I find them nice enough, but they are kind of avoiding me, they're not going out of their way to be spiteful or anything, but I can see that they are jealous. That's what I wanted to ask you about. It may sound strange from a dark elf like me, but . . . How should I deal with them ? I can't just get rid of them like it's done usually . . . Among dark elves of course. And I can't just tell Dillon to stop seeing them. I don't want him to believe I'm a control freak." she tells you.

She's really asking for your honest opinion, while you may not be the most experienced in complicated relationship.
What do you tell her ?
>>
>>4081546
Well the short version would be try talk with them and become friends with them as no matter you like it or not they are part of his life, and trying to control his life would only have the opposite effect. In the long version i would say train with them, teach them some tricks they might need in the future for the sole reason that they are importend to Dillon and maybe after a few training sessions you invite them to some drinks since alcohol might help them open up and then you can talk with them about this "little" thorn in your side and look where that leads. You are after all not above sharing Dillon with others, like you did with our former high elves guests back when Dillon played chosen of Luna so im sure you will find a way with them. And maybe with the help of some Amokrane alcohol you 5 will laugh about it in the future.

Ruriska takes a moment to look at you, wondering if you're serious or messing with her again. But as she sees that you truly are trying to help she let out another sigh.

>"You are right, It's something I need to see once I'm on better terms with them. I'll follow your advices and see where it goes. Thank you."

>"Don't mention it. I'm happy to help. Say, if you are going to train Emelyne, Adeleine and Isabella, could you train Silviana on the side sometime again ? She has made enormous progress since the start of all of this, but still."

>"Speaking of fighting, some time has gone by since our journey to Lynn, so don't you think it's time for round 2 between you and Irene ? I mean, it was a draw last time."

>"It wasn't a draw ! I was just a little exhausted and it was well past evening and into the night, I would have defeated her if I had more time."

You don't say anything and instead look at the dark elf while drinking your tea.

You spend some more moments with Ruriska, discussing more light hearted topics before finishing your tea, satisfied with this time you have spent with her.

- - - -

The next day. In the same fashion, you decided to spend a pleasant afternoon with Irene. As you know that drinking tea in the garden isn't what she enjoys the most, you opted for something more to her taste, falconry. Of course, you are not the one who will hunt and you will go on foot, but it will be perfect for a pleasant afternoon. You and Irene are going out of town, and you go up a hill 5 kilometers from the walls, from there you have a good view of the surrounding countryside. Irene has a beautiful hawk on her arm, and after a moment she reaches out and the bird of prey takes flight, looking for rabbits. You and Irene observe, enjoying the peace and quiet.

>"It's been so long since I did falconry, I was worried for a moment but I still got it. That's too bad you didn't take one to join me." Irene says.

>"Don't worry, Im more than happy to stay here with you, we didn't spend time just the two of us in so long after all." you tell her.

>"But you know, I'm starting to miss our regular training. I really need to get back in shape once the baby is born." you say.

>"And I'll be there to make sure you train diligently." Irene replies.

>"Yeah, I knew you'd think of something like that. Speaking of which, it's been almost a year since our journey to Lynn, and your "duel" with Ruriska. Don't you think a having a rematch ? A draw won't do this time, so you better win."

>". . . Okay, first, it wasn't a draw, we just decided to end it here as it was really late and we had other things to focus on, and second, of course I'll win, who do you think I am ?"

You smile smugly at her words. She's exactly like Ruriska, her pride won't allow her to admit they ended up as

>"Well, once you and Ruriska have decided when this fight will take place, let me know, I want to see that." you smile.

>"Of course I'll tell you. I'll tell everyone so they can witness my victory, so we can go have a drink." she declares.

>"You need to win for that. Speaking of drinking, I would be surprised if you didn't already find a bar to your liking, but tell me, what kind of rumors are going around at the moment ?"

>"Well, from what I've heard, there are fewer adventurers in the empire as a whole now. The extermination campaign you launched attracted some of them to the region around Drack Keep but in general, with the peace and the end of hostilities with the half-humans, they lost a large part of their livelihood and many have gone south where their services are in great demand. In addition with the failed coup last summer, the mercenaries are frowned upon and are rejected from the villages and settlements, the cities are tolerating them but they are no longer as demanded as before. You should be careful, this could cause banditry problems in the future."

>"I'll see if something can be done about this. Did you hear anything else ?"

>"There are talks about a large group of people going straight north to the Maw to the End of the World. Some people noticed your little expedition but don't know it was the empire that sent them in the wastes. I believe those rumors are going to die down soon enough."

>"I know, I was just saying-" she starts.

>"And I might already have a solution for that adventurer problem, you should know about the plans for the Imperial Zoo, so we could simply hire the adventurers to get rare and exotic animals for it, from near and far, and we could hire some of them as future undertakers of the Empire. Irene jus look at you, and sighs.

>"You know, I was not trying to be hurtful, you asked me to tell you the rumors I heard, and I just gave my opinion. Sorry if you thought I was berating you. Your ideas are interesting, and I can see them work." she tells you.

As she finishes talking, the falcon is coming back with a rabbit in its talons. Irene take the catch and the great bird land on her arm. After rewarding it she lifts her arm again and the falcon takes to the sky again. She isn't saying anything else and you think it's because of the way she took your words, this is really awkward. You try to think of something to cheer her up.

>"So tell me, Commander of the Royal Guards, what is your opinion of the men under your command ? You must know enough about them by now to give me a detailed opinion." you say.

>". . . Yes, of course. All of them are selected by the generals among the bests of the Legions of Drack. Even so I make sure they are skilled enough with some test, and even after that, their training regimen is the most advanced I have ever developed. Wearing the best armors available, those men are entirely dedicated to their mission, they are formidable warriors, easily worth 15 soldiers each." she explains.

>"Aww, stop it, you're going to make me blush."

She is a better mood now, and the two of you go on with your conversation.

>"You know, I asked Ruriska yesterday, but what do you thing of this blessing of Luna ?" you ask her.

>"I'm not really religious myself, but if it can give you any advantages whatsoever, take it. But make sure there isn't a catch somewhere, you never know what a god can do, they don't have the same way of thinking as us mortals. Also, you did well on learning a spell to hide your more "inhuman" features, some people could take it the wrong way if they saw their empress like this." she replies.

>"I trust them, it's complicated but they won't betray me, I'm sure of it. Now, we need to talk about another mission I have for you. Jokul and his team will have finished their mission soon, so here is the second part of your punishment."

>"Oh you are evil you know that ? It looks like something the Dark Lord would come up with to assert his control over someone. That's perfect, I'll be happy to do it, and leave at dawn tomorrow to be in Asoevia in time."

The two of you have a good laugh, and it's a this moment that Irene's falcon came back, this time with a squirrel. You get an idea and summon Tyrande, your guardian appearing in a ball of light before landing on your shoulder. Without a word from you, the great owl flies away, looking for prey. Irene is visibly impressed, and you can see farther her falcon doing wide circles, unsure what to make of this new magical creature flying around.

78 = HIGH SUCCESS

Time goes by, Irene's falcon got used to Tyrande, and the two birds of prey share the sky and the result is more than impressive. in a matter of hours, you got wild ducks and goose, pheasants and other kind of birds, as well as rabbits. At one point, you can see Tyrande flying above something you believe is a deer, but its fleeing into the woodland while the falcon is coming back. But you don't see your guardian coming back.

>"Strange, it's not coming back. Is it trying to bring it back ?" Irene says.

>"Tyrande wouldn't have any problem carrying a whole deer. But I don' t feel anything wrong either." you reply.

>"Do you want to go check ?"

The two of you enter the woodland a little while later, and you start looking for Tyrande, and after a moment you find her on a branch overlooking some kind of pit. Irene goes closer to take a look.

>"Oh by the gods. Freya, come here have a look." she tells you.

You quickly come closer and look down. The deer is lying at the bottom, dead, but this isn't what the most unusual. There is an open chest down there and inside there is . . . A treasure, a lot of gold and gemstones. There are also a couple of shovels down there.

>"Look like someone tried to bury this. And they left in a hurry." Irene explains.

>"Do you think they are still around ?" you ask.

>"I don't know, but I don't think they are peasants around there that would hide such a fortune. We should get this chest before they come back. Unless you want us to leave right now. We don't know how many there are."

>"We'll take it. If the one that tried to hide it where honest people then they wouldn't have run away. Oh, and take the deer too. No use letting it go to waste." you say.

Irene carefully goes down in the pit and takes the chest, you pull it with the help of Tyrande and then do the same thing with the deer. Once Irene is out of the pit you understand that there is a lot of things to carry, but have a solution. You summon Sif and secure the deer on its back and the rest of the catch of your hunt on his side, while Irene takes the chest. You tell Tyrande to watch over the surrounding of the pit. As you walk back to Drack Keep, Irene start speaking.

>"You left your owl guardian watching the place. You want to catch the ones that made that hole ?" Irene asks.

>"Yes, they probably aren't good people. If they come back, I'll feel it, or I could use Far Sight to see this place. I'll let Tyrande observe them and send guards so we can find out if they are thiefs or not." you reply.

>"That's good. That way you won't be in a dangerous situation yourself. Still, there must be a fortune in there." she says.

And she way right. Once you are back in the castle, you explain what happened to Lazarus (He was happy that you didn't put yourself in a dangerous situation again.) you had the content of the chest counted and appraised, and as a whole you just acquired 1 000 000 G. To celebrate, the chefs prepared what you got during the hunt, and you had a little private feast with eveyrone.
>Personal treasure : + 1 000 000 G

During the night, after some tender loving, you are asleep against Lazarus, but you start feeling strange and open your eyes. Once you are fully awake, you focus on this feeling and understand that it's coming from Tyrande, there are people approaching the pit.

You sit on your bed and immediately use Far sight, focusing on the memory of the area you visited this afternoon, and you find yourself seeing as if you were here, there is are some place farther ahead that you can't see clearly or are straight up dark but that because you didn't directly see them. You see Tyrande, hidden in the tree, you see the pit and a ground of men carrying torches around it. One of them looks like a merchant, two are heavily armored, and the other are just commoners or peasants. The wealthy looking man is yelling at them.

>"-And of course you fleed without the money !" he screams.

>"But something was coming, we thought it may be a monster or soldiers and-" on of the commoners replies.

>"And what if it was just an animal ? You fuckers are as useless as they come." the man interrupts him.

>"But my lord, you can still go through with your plan, right ?" one man asks.

>"You idiots ! Of course I could still do it, the Empress is as gullible to the plea of people in need than a village when a preacher gives them a sermon, she would give me compensation for the loss, after all the northern regions are dangerous, a merchant like me could be attacked at any moment. But that's not the problem."

>"Then we could-"

>"WHAT'S MAKING ME FURIOUS IS THAT YOU LOST MY WHOLE SAVING YOU CRETINS ! All of my money was in there ! I had the perfect scam going on, and you blew it. Now don't just stand there and start searching, we're not leaving until we find it."

>"In the middle of the forest ? At night ? My lord, this is-"

>"Do you think I want your opinion ? That's an order !"

Too emphasis his words, one of the armored men take his sword out of its sheath. The other understands and starts looking around. You undo the spell and try to wake up your husband.

>"Dear, wake up. . . . Lazi, please wake up."

>"*Groans*. . . . What ? Oh, what is it my love ?"

>"I felt something from my guardian, the men that tried to bury the chest are looking for it, and I confirmed it with Far Sight, they are looking for it as we speak."

>"Alright, I'm going to send a group of soldiers to catch them. I'm really curious to see what's behind all this."

>"I may have an idea."

You and Lazarus get dressed, and are waiting in the throne room. Later, the soldiers bring a bunch of tied men, and indeed, it the wealthy man, one of the armored men and the others.

>"Your highness, just as you said, those men were looking around the forest, and when we tried to arrest them they tried to run away, they were surrounded however, but one of them tried to fight back so we had to kill him. We believe we got all of them." One of the soldiers explains.

What do you do with those men ?
>Have them interrogated.
>Execute them.
>Free them wit a warning.

You immediately have them interrogated, they are sent to the cells under the dungeon where they spent the rest of the night being taken care of in true dark lord fashion, Ruriska even came down to help those that were too silent.

It seems that the merchant was trying to scam you. The plan was to hide his gold and make it look like he was attacked, he would then come to you, knowing how kind and generous you are, and ask for your help. You would have sent guards to look for bandits, but he knew that you would have compensated him for the lost gold, and would probably give him a bonus or a subsidy if he was lucky, he would then be one of the few merchant with a large sum of Crown, giving him an advantage in future negotiation in the empire, as the spread of this currency is highly encouraged. A rather simple scam but you must admit that you would probably have fallen for the first part, except that you would have investigated the matter before giving money.

This is another proof that you need to be wary of everyone, with everything you can do to make sure who's loyal or not, you should use it more often. Now, what should you do with those people ? You have as prisoners :
- 1 merchant
- 1 armed guard
- Around 12 commoners.
What their punishment should be ?

for the merchant and armed guard 20-30 years forced labor in the mines as for the 12 commoners since they helped him in his scam 5 years

You decide to sentence the merchant and his armed guard to 25 years of forced labor in the mines, they tried to scan the Drack Empire and they are going to work to pay back their mistakes. As for the 12 commoners, since they helped the merchant in his scam, they shall be sent to the mines as well, for 5 years, they were just following their boss orders, but this is no reason. They try to pleas as they are taken away, but the sentence is irrevocable. At the end of the day, you learned that some people would try to scam the crown for money thinking you are too kind, and you gained a lot of money . . . Not a bad day, you must say.

After taking care of the most important business you have the rest of the day to do as you please. And right now, you want to spend some time with Lazarus, the dork lord was busy those past few days and you think having some time together would be good for him. Well first let see if the eagle eggs from the wood elfs arrived and if he already started to "play" with them or what else he experimented with and since our dork of a husband behaved like a "normal" lord should maybe give him a massage like he got back in Lynn, because well-behaved dorks deserve a reward.

You go to find your husband, he's in his laboratory right now. As you enter, you see him working on some kind of potion, carefully filling a vial with an unknown liquid, and taking notes. You don't want to surprise him, so you announce your presence.

>"Darling, I am here. Are you busy ?" you say.

>"Hm ? Oh, Freya. No I'm just testing something, an ointment that could at best speed up the gestation period of an egg, or at worse force the hatching process."

>"Eggs ? Does this mean that the giant falcon eggs from the wood elves arrived ?"

The dark Lord turns to look at you, and he have a big smile on his face. He takes you by the hand and leads you to another room. Inside, on a large pedestal surrounded by torches, and wrapped in several warm looking blankets, several eggs, big enough so you have to take them with both hands.

>"They are here, and from what the wood elves said, they will hatch soon. The replace the warmth of their mother, I have my assistant place warmed blankets at regular intervals to maintain optimal heat, and the torches also keep the room temperature high enough."

>"That's wonderful my love, with this, we will be able to start your little "war pets" project." you tell him with a smile.

>". . . "War pets" she says . . . Still, with the size they are supposed to be once they hit adulthood, making them flying beasts would be difficult. Creating hybrids for cavalry will be more suitable, but that means giant eagles will be perfect for gigantic flying monsters. Just as you suggested, imagine a creature so big flying above the battlefield, coming down unto our enemies, killing dozens with each attacks, it will be glorious." he explains.

He's rather dramatic, but you can't help but notice the enthusiasm in his voice. You take his arm and press your body against him.

>"You know, for an evil Dark Lord, you behaved almost like a "normal" lord lately, I really appreciate that you are working on yourself for my sake. If you want to, you could take a break, there is something I would like to do for you as a reward."

>"It would be my pleasure, my lovely Dark Queen. Lead the way."

Together, with him putting his arm around you, letting it rest on your hips, you go back to your bedroom. Once inside, you immediately take control before Lazarus could get any lecherous ideas.

>"Why don't you go take a bath first ? And don't bother putting on anything when you are finished, a towel will suffice." you say.

>"Oooooh ? Now I'm curious to see what you have planned." he replies.

As soon as the door of the bathroom close behind the Dark Lord, you start preparing, you light the candles, close the curtains so the whole room give off a nice, intimate feeling. You remove your boots and stockings and clean your feet before sitting on the bed waiting for your husband. After some minutes, he emerges from the bathroom, his body still steaming from the hot water he was into, and just as you asked him, he's naked, safe for a towel that don't really serve any purpose, as his member is straining against it even if he's soft.

>"Is that your surprise ?" he asks you.

>"Maybe. For now, go on the bed and lie on your stomach." you answer.

Lazarus look at you, trying to guess what you have in mind, but give up soon after and do as you say. Once he is comfortable you get on the bed, stand on his back and you start stepping like you did back in Lynn, massaging him.

>"OoOoOOOooooh, this feels so good. I should play the "nice lord" more often if this means I can have you massage me . . . Wait, isn't that dangerous for you to stand on top of me like that with the baby ? What if you fall ?"

>"Be quiet, you dork, and relax, I'm doing this are carefully as possible. And we both know you would catch me, so I don't have to worry."

He doesn't reply and relax, you keep going, massaging him with your feet. You apply all of your strength in some places, while just lightly pushing with your toes on others. The dark lord is letting sighs of relief and satisfaction from time to time, it feels really good for him, and just like in Lynn, you get a strange emotion as you have your husband beneath your feet. That's when it hit you, the feeling of empowerment, the feeling of having the powerful Dark Lord Lazarus Drack beneath you.

You have total control now, where should things go from this point ?
