The Hive world, a polluted radioactive desert, plagued by toxic fumes and acid rains fueled by the industry of a galactic need. Hive cities, a dozen towering archaeologies that rise for miles and stretch across the planet for miles more. Each one housing billions of people, most in cramped inhumane spaces.
Deep in the foul underhive is where you survive, where the poorest of the poor and those criminals who have escaped the law live and suffer. Abandoned by those above the power has long since been turned off and resources are scarce. The law and order of the Imperium sees little light in this place only appearing when dangerous chaos rears its head, snuffing it out with ruthless efficiency. Gangs rule diving up territory by those who have the most strength and can fight to hold it.
Yet light, dim as it may be is appearing in this darkness. A priest of Christianity born again leads a flock, turning them away from the violence and hate that is so prevalent in these times. Will one man be enough to save the underhive or perhaps the whole hive itself?

(Unnamed imperial guard deserter. Lone priest of Christ.)

2 = Several harken to your word, Any change from this hellish existence is welcome. The gangers give you minimal attention, as you have given them no difficulty.

For a week come and speak of your lord, becoming a familiar face in this part of the underhive. Your speech extols the virtues of charity and patience. of peace and love even in this dark pit. While not elegant your preaching speaks to the very souls of these sufferers. Every day more and more of the unfortunate before you ask to join your flock and with grace you accept them. However none of the gangers have dare come near you, some look at you with confusion others often scowl when looking at you preach.

Well I was just taken on a ride by a drunk army mechanic I just met today, to replace my cars air filter. Mildly terrifying but on the plus side my car is now in near pristine condition after he decided to fix 10 other things.

> Have them clean the nearby tunnels all around us from garbage, thus creating a better relation with the people nearby. Or at least respect for our small group.

“It is well with the man who is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment. For he will never be shaken; The righteous will be remembered forever. He will not fear evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD” Psalm 112:5-9

You speak to your flock the virtues of altruism send them in their first mission of such goals. Rather than expanding their own home they should improve the tunnels all must travel and some live in. Throughout the week they go out in teams clearing out the tunnels of trash, scrap and anything obtrusive and filthy. This slowly makes the tunnels around your church somewhat habitable to live in. The squatters are appreciative for no longer living in squalor and those that travel through it are thankful for no longer having to watch out for rusty nails and other dangerous trash. Of course this is only a minor fraction of the work that would need to be done to clean the whole block if not the underhive, but it is a start and the first of such things these people have seen in decades doing much to boost your reputation.

"Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver". 2 Corinthians 9:7

To gather resources to aid your flock you have determined that tithing must begin. Each must give of their capability and not overmuch that they will suffer. In your next sermon you bring out a simple pan and ask of your follower that they give to god so that god may aid all in their suffering. Much of your church give what little Sovereigns they have to spare and give blessings to your work. Although some seem more reluctant to donate, however as god commanded you, you do not press them.

>>
>>4070673
>What do you think Protestantism is?

Protestantism is the second-largest form of Christianity with a total of 800 million to a billion adherents worldwide or about 40% of all Christians. It originated with the 16th century Reformation, a movement against what its followers perceived to be errors in the Catholic Church.

In other words the superior version of our faith.
>>
>>4070682
Alright bro very funny. Protestantism is a heretical corruption of Christianity. The only reason it's even relevant outside of Germany and has the statistics you cite is because Henry VIII got pissed when the pope didn't let him divorce his wife. Very superior indeed.
>>
>>4070736
Protestantism also played a critical role in the United States' creation, survival, and inevitable rise to global superpower status. What Catholic superpowers can you name off the top off your head?

Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword."
Matthew 26:52

You take the 12 most faithful and enduring followers and set to the task of training them. Violence is something that is avoided in the bible something that should not be done. But this time demands protectors. The underhive is violent and full of terrors you believe in your lord but know that one must work to protect themselves.

>The rest should search for food water and supplies.

The rest of the flock go about the underhive searching for resources mainly food and a source of fresh water. Food is rare but fresh water is near impossible to find, only water is boiled or just drunken polluted as a brownish opaque liquid. After the week is gone they find some scraps of food and a stable source of polluted water that can be boiled. A cracked pipe in a tunnel pouring out a brownish grey liquid but still clearly water. Nothing fresh or as amazing as your first personal find.

We should begin every morning with prayer teach our flock more of the faith, we need to create disciples who we can then make into bishops. we should also begin to find and raise abandoned children bring them up as Christians, its a long game but the Christians of old did that quite effectively. we should also train everyone how to fight and the basics of the faith. it would be important to create a web of connections and people and begin preaching about mercy salvation forgiveness chastity and charity.

Basically impossible unless gifted by the Lord himself. Christianity died out during the dark age of technology and the lead up to it. Any reminates of it were utterly destroyed by the emperor and his crusade. Your best bet of finding one would be on terra itself and that would be unfathomably unlikely. Try clearing out the 3rd floor

You send the faithful with the construction tools to finish repairing and clearing the third floor. Throughout the week you watch the hard effort of man dig out the room, clearing it of fallen rebar, collapsed cement from the floor above, and chunks of metal that take several men to lift. By the end of the week the floor is fully clear, cleaned, and habitable. They even had enough time to start working on the floor above, getting the stairs back in working order and clearing out a portion of the rubble.

> Develop your faith with a commandment for your flock to follow.
I propose to introduce Baptism and since our guardsman is unnamed he could be the first one to do it
“And this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 3:21

You have read of baptism in the holy bible, a method in which one may wash away the sins of their past life and be born anew pledged to god and saved by the sacrifice of Christ. Deciding now is the time you will introduce this to your flock you have them gather many gallons of water in a large container fashioned out of a carved chunk of concrete. You then have them filter the water through the rags and cloths to remove the visual impurities, then finally boiling the water to make it pure. This effort takes you the week but by the end it is ready, pure water prepared for Baptism. You begin the baptism with yourself having two of your flock prepare to immerse you into the water and then remove you. This is the moment you will be reborn, no longer the cowardly deserter from the imperial guard. You will soon be a priest of the LORD the one true faith. You feel the water surround you as you fall, then suddenly a vision

"Then there came a voice from above the expanse over their heads as they stood with lowered wings. Above that expanse was what looked like a throne of sapphire, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man. I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked down like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him. Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. When I saw it I fell facedown" Ezekiel 1:25-28

Suddenly the water breaks, you once again breathe the polluted air in the deep darkness of the underhive yet you somehow feel cleaner, sharper. You exclaim to your flock the vision you saw and the glorious future that awaits them as you guide each through their baptism.

No longer an unnamed imperial guard deserter. You are now Joshua Abiel the redeemed, holy priest of Christ.

> Have them continue to improve and clean the nearby tunnels expanding the network of maintained tunnels.

You once again send your flock to do good deeds in the name of Christ. They continue to clean, clear, and improve the nearby tunnels expanding its radius to a few hab blocks out. Travel in this area has become safer than ever thanks to the remove of debris for Scavvie gangers to hide behind and various hazards in the tunnels. You can officially say you have the cleanest tunnels in all the underhive at this rate. Those in the area see you in a better light raising your reputation as the only altruistic group of crazies out there.

> gained minor reputation
> Traveling through the tunnels is safer and easier.

>Continue to preach to the public

You take your faithful followers now armed and somewhat trained to the market area. You see that it is more bustling than ever. It seems your activity clearing the tunnels has made it easier for more groups to come here and trade. Even the gangers in the back no longer give you scowls and merely allow your presence without question. You set up the box from before and begin preaching to the crowd. Hopefully with your good deeds they will see the light in your faith.

Have them continue to improve, maintain and expand your living space.

In particular, we should focus on setting up places for our sudden influx of new initiates to sleep and live. Also, second the idea that we should make a cross.

>What action shall you take?

Offer to give the ganger private lessons in the coming week to perhaps change the mind of his gang (Will take the next weeks personal action)

Taking him in would provoke unnecessary animosity with nearby gangers. This way we can have Christianity spread through ganger ranks first and *then* deal with the gangs.

I'm wondering how Christianity will work within the cosmology of 40k since the lore pretty much already spells out how gods, faith, miracles and souls work.

If Jesus in this quest is actually the son of capital-G-not-an-overgrown-warp-entity-Alpha-and-Omega God and not a random perpetual or one of the emperor's pre-darkage personaes, then that raises some questions about how our miracles and divine boons are different. Of course you could just play the "God is mysterious" card. I wouldn't hold it against you if you wanted to avoid quibbling about lore.
>>
>>4071854
Give we already gained a Devine boon in the form of a reroll I thank that God with a capital G is looking out for us. I also bet Jesus is kicking around somewhere in a uncorrupted part of the warp watching over the souls of the faithful.

> Have them continue to improve, maintain and expand your living space. Improve the church to sit more and in greater quality.

You direct your flock to improve the floor of the church as there are now far too many followers to properly sit with what is there. Additional pews are made and the existing ones are improved upon with what little cloth and cushioning can be found. Due to the overcrowded nature of your base they have begun to use the pews as sleeping areas as well and having additional ones allows more space for the followers. The final addition to the church is a large cross crafted of wrought iron hung above the podium. Despite being of little quality it stands as an inspiring symbol to the faith.

> Offer to give the ganger private lessons in the coming week to perhaps change the mind of his gang

You tell the ganger that approached you that if he wishes you can give him private lessons so that he does not need to abandon his gang and fear their retribution. You coordinate a tunnel that it in between both your territories and agree to meet there in the coming week.
When you arrive you seem him waiting, nervous but impress with the state of the tunnels “did yer cult does this?”
Holding the book to your chest you respond with fervor “It is well with the man who is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment. For he will never be shaken; The righteous will be remembered forever. He will not fear evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.” Giving a happy smile the ganger looks to you,
”ah reckon thet means yo' did. I, ah reckon its wonnerful whut yer doin' heer. No one evah cared about us not even our own.”
Sitting with him in the tunnels you go on to explain the virtues and ideals of Christianity.

Throughout the week your one on one meetings with the ganger turn into group meetings as he brings his friends and other gangers to meet you. Your words torches their hearts convincing more and more, eventually most of the gang ends up crammed inside the tunnel that was your meeting spot. You invite them to the church itself as there is no need for the pretense of secrecy anymore.
Once at the church you begin preaching, speaking to your parish alongside the gangers, it is somewhat cramped but you are glad there are seats for all to properly worship the lord. At the end the man who appears to be the leader of the gangers approaches you. A scarred and built man, although the signs of malnourishment in his early life still clearly evident. He holds his hand out to shake.

> Have them search for food, weaponry, armor, specific supplies. (seems like you focusing on food here)

You have your flock explore the tunnels in groups trying to find any scrapes of food or perhaps some source of renewable food source. You ask the Brass Slicers to guard them as they do this and to see if they have any information. The only thing the Brass slicers know is that they buy their food from another gang The Violent Rats which control the only passage higher that they know of. Searching for some way to gather your own food in this place is difficult but after 4 days one of your faithful find a collapsed tunnel that can be crawled through, it leads to a damp cave of soil where mushrooms are growing. That something can grow in this barren wasteland of a planet is surprise to all that see it. There aren't many here but perhaps with some work you can expand it and grow your own food. The rest of your flock managed to find some food but it was far less successful any scraps already picked clean previously.

> gained 1 week of food

This week rather than growing your flock you’re going to focus on the faith of those you already have. You prepare you sermons and each day speak to your flock with renewed vigor. You can feel the faith in many of your followers growing, and the gangers who come here seem more earnest by the day

Let's specifically try to find and contact the Violent Rats.

Our goal in the long term has to involve reaching higher parts of the hive, if for no other reason than to not starve. If we gain access to the tunnels controlled by the Violent Rats, then we'll have more resources to spread Christ's message and do good works rather than just focusing on survival.

0 = Danger stalks the underhive that is not just men. An hugely oversized centipede lurches out from a broken sewer tunnel onto one of your men.
1 = Almost nothing it seems this part of the underhive is picked clean and journies farther out will need to be made to scavenge food in such a way.
2 = Several packets of Viridians are found in various unlikely spots. Clearly looked over in the past due to the difficulty of reaching it. After this haul though your unsure if anything is left in this area.
3 = To your horror You find what appears to be a mass grave, thousands of bodies dumped and decomposing. The already decaying stench of the underhive is awful here, but something interesting grows on the bones of the bodies they are all covered in dense green clumps of some substance. You recognize it, you mother called it moss and from what she said it was ediable.
Crit-Success = As you scavenge through the underhive suddenly you hear a loud slamming noise from above, not fully uncommon but you look up to see. A metal crate suddenly slams through the roofing above you and lands onto the ground with a slam. Luckily your companions seem to be unharmed. You take your gear and pry open the crate to see hundreds of packets of Viridians. Such a blessing of god above.
7 = the seven churches, seven spirits, seven stars, seven seals. God has shown you the path forward in all its splendor. Automatic success and +15 to current action

>Have them continue to improve and clean the nearby tunnels expanding the network of maintained tunnels

With food coming in greater amounts from the mushroom farm and the scavenging of inspired groups from within your church you once again set your flock to cleaning out and maintaining the tunnels. By the end of the week the tunnels are cleaned out about half a kilometer in every direction. Many of the underhivers are gracious and even thank the hard workers of your flock as they go about their business, as they go further out from their territory the Brass Slicers make sure none of the other gangs harms the workers getting them some recognition as well. This leads to multiple clear paths to the makeshift market causing it to start becoming a bustling center of the block.

> Contact other Scavvie gangs. Specifically try to contact the Violent Rats so that we can work on creating a connection to higher up in the hive where there is more food.

You speak to the leader of the Brass Slicers to ask where the Violent Rats are so you can get your own trade deal, He gives you a rough map through the tunnels and wishes you luck. You take 3 of your armed and armored flock with you and delve into the tunnels. It takes about an hour to reach it but you find the fortified hab block you were told about. The two guard in the front look at you with distrust. They shout out once your intent to come closer is clear “State yer business upperhivah”

Based on my understanding of the lore, the emperor's long term goal was to eliminate the risk of humanity being corrupted by the warp, and guide it's evolution into a psychic race. Of course this plan failed.

This goal could be seen as being in alignment with God's desire to save humanity from sin. It's worth noting that the chaos gods can be considered manifestations of the universe's sinful nature reflected in the warp.

Thing is: the emperor wished to eradicate religion because in his experience, it inevitably rots and gives rise to chaos worship. Also in 40k, large scale collective belief/emotion can spawn a new godlike entity within the warp. Said entity is often a twisted distortion of the beliefs that created it.

Thus for Christianity to be legit, God cannot be just another warp entity, they must be beyond such things.

this sounds like a job for the church of the fertile soil
>>
>>4072925
Part of the idea was also removing the concept of worship. So that when the chaos gods do influence humans they wont immidatly jump on their dick as proof of their gods.

Its also not nessesarily that the warp gods are a twisted representation of what created them they just represent the most common and powerful emotion in their sphere.
There is honor and code to be found within khorn its just so many more feel bloodlust amd hate
There is love and art to be found in slannesh just so mant more feel excess and degeneracy.
From what i understand, ideally if you make everyones lives better, people happier and more temprate the choas gods would be less malicious. In a lot of ways this makes the 7 virtues of christianity very powerful although that was introduced by pope gregory and not in the bible itself..

I might be wrong in some of this but ive been binging a lot of 40k lore recently.

> Try to develop some way to farm the mushrooms with better efficiency

Seems like you are all focusing shrooms here so ill fuse the two.

Knowing food is worth its weight in thrones after your dealings, you know you must dedicate your flock on helping these mushrooms grow. To start the mushrooms seem to survive off of the damp dirt in the cave, so adding more water and expanding the damp soil should help. Remembering the broken pipe spewing water you have your flock collect together srcaps of metals and plastics. They bolt, carve, nail, and tie together the materials creating a decently sized channel feeding the water theough the tunnles and eventually into the dirt cave. You have it end on the excavated side as it is dryer and have your flock create some offshoots to better spread the water. With any luck this should cause the mushrooms to grow quicker into the expanded area.

>upgrade. Large mushroom grove -> irrigated mushroom grove (grows 0.4 weeks of food each month.) (Food production grows at a faster rate)
>>
>>4072984
You spend most of this time when not directing your flock giving great attention to the mushrooms, you have no experience in farming or growing any kind of plant life but you are sure there is somthing more you can do to help it grow. You begin carefully experimenting and examining the mushrooms.

1 = You are unsure of what helps or hurts them. You have tried a few different waters and possible fertilizers but the mushrooms seem unphased.
2 = it appears fertilizing the soil with veridians causes the mushrooms to grow quicker and larger. You wonder whats in the stuff that it feeds people as well as plants.
3 = One of your flock suggested that perhaps burying the dead here rather then throwing them into the reclimation machines might give them sustenance. After burying a old scavvie corpse in the tunnles near a mushroom patch they seem to expand across it rapidly.
>Crit-sucess = lighting, humidity, corpses cooler air. You find numerous ways to improve the growth of the mushrooms. Its all hypthetical this early but you are sure making small chages to the cave, combining these will speed their growth immensly. You hear word from one of your flock who is friends with a ganger of the Brass Slicers that another gang was being vocal about coming to raid your church for food. Catching wind of this the Brass Slicers killed their raiding party to a man. A bit brutal, but it seems this alliance is saving you from a few problems.

>improve the living space to contain cots and beds/ prioritize expansion, clearing new floors for living space

Decided that it is time to improve the living quality of your flock you have them gather what scrapes of cloth, plastic, anything comfortable to craft cots and beds for your followers to rest on. While there is very little material in the underhive for this your flock manage to craft enough cots for everyone to no longer be sleeping on the hard concrete, you yourself deny one until there one made for all others. With the remaining time in the week you have your followers continue clearing out the fourth floor. While more damaged then the ones below it some steady progress is made in fully reclaiming it.
>Upgrade
>> Floor 3 Empty used for sleeping and storage -> Floor 3, Sleeping area filled with cots
>> Floor 4 Partially reclaimed -> Mostly reclaimed
(House 140 in cramped conditions)

>Trade with the hiver gangs in the communal area
Now having money to spend for your flock after 3 months of tithing you head to the communal area to pick up some much needed supplies. Unlike last time where only one gang was trading, representatives of a few gangs are here each offering their crafts to one another and any who will buy them. The prices are better too, it seems having some competition in prices has helped lower them.

>Brown Directs his apprentices to start converting the second floor into engineering workshops with some being dedicated to the crafting of tools and commodities, while others dedicated to the crafting of armor and weapons. After consulting with Joshua Abiel first to get his blessing.
(I assume as no one has vetoed against making the second floor this the blessing is yours but if others really don't want this floor to be converted please vote so)

Joshua happily gives his blessing to you and your followers, some production in the church is very welcomed. You take large scraps of iron from the scap piles the flock has made while cleaning the tunnels and create makeshift tables on the second floor for you to work with. Although you have no manufacturing tools preventing skillful work and gunsmithing your followers do their best to craft the leather and metals into armor and weapons for the church; the manufacturing skill you taught them giving them some basic ability to work.

Try to convert some of the ones more wealthy in the low hive community. Such as merchants and artisans, their small donations would be helpful to our church.

There are some, so if we are able to even just convert a few of them we could buy more things.

With our tihting we accept anything for donations, not only in money right ?

Thank you and apologize, I have a question about all the gear that my boys made does that go into the faction inventory first and if so do I need to make action posts saying how much I want to move to the Comunal Inventory?
If that is the case then I want my apprentices to armor up and pick a weapon then place the rest in an armory kept on the second floor maintained by the Church of the fertile soil members and distributed the rest throughout the church as needed.
>>
>>4073676
You can choose to hide away the gear for personal usage if you want. However the other anons may not like that much and vote to do somthing about it. Otherwise yes it is sent to a communal resouce pool that gets drawn from on missions. factions leaders get first pick then combat trained followers then everone else. You can change that via vote tho.
>>
>>4073683
alright thanks for the info.

Then for my fellow anons approval I motion that the armory and equipment storage be located on the second floor as it is where the workshops are located and will be easiest to maintain the stuff we make/find. Since the Church of the fertile soil has people with the training to maintain and improve our collective gear they should be over keeping track of it and maintaining it.

what do you anons think.
>>
>>4073699
It can do. But in the future it would be better to divide production from storage at least in my opinion.

That floor could need an expansion, if we produce a good amount.
>>
>>4073707
well, the third floor is currently empty if we reclaim a few more floors we could make the 2nd and 3rd production and storage respectively. with both maintain and overseen by the church of the fertile soil.
>>
>>4073710
Yes we could do that .

I was thinking of some future floors that could receive a specialization :

- one for a training hall
- one for a communal hall (for eating togheter/talking ecc)
- one as a "hospital" of sorts
- one for receive guests/travelers or let them rest
- one for a school

Maybe even one for books and for write them.

This time rather then working on just a small group of your flock you tend the the whole of the church. The attack reported by the brass slicers has you on edge and you want your flock to be able to defend themselves if the time calls for it. You have them lineup on the third floor, the padded floor and walls once some of the cots are lined up will lower the chance of injury. You run them through the exercises you experienced when in the imperial guard, mainly focusing on hand to hand combat and with melee weaponry due to a lack of ranged weapons. By the end of a difficult week for your followers many of them gain basic combat competency. SOme of them even show better proficiency with a blade then you although that isnt saying much.

> fortify the church making a barricade in your area of the tunnles.

Working with the Brass Slicers your flock set to fortifying the tunnles around yours and the Slicer's bases. They set up metal and wood barricades in the tunnles around the bases in all directions reaching out to the edge of the cleared territory. An amalgamation of scrap and a small swinging gate make up most of the barricades. The brass slicers start setting guards there keeping an eye out for any hostile gangers in the terriotry. To some suprise, the scavvies that live in the tunnles around you territory are thankful for the barricades. The amount of gangers attacking and forcfully recruiting are now minuscule in the area. You even hear the Brass Slicers have stoped such tactics themselves instead asking the stronger of the scavvies they encounter to join them willingly. It seems your rubbing off on them.

>gained minor reputaion
>safety of the tunnles increased

>try to convert the more wealthy of the underhive such as the merchants that represent the gangs.

If we ever do get Heretics taking our religion and twisting it in their own ways, it will be necessary to fight them. At the moment, that is not an issue.

Good grief that the we have a barricade and we have convert a few merchants .

Now more people are protected and not only our own, and with the merchants in we should have more founds for next month.
>>4074789

You could create something like that (well any other player can if he wants, as a general faction we are doing that in part as well). Since there is much where we could need it :

- better defense, creates a stronger sense of security.
- can help in military training the main/general faction
- further demotivates possible foes to attack us, allowing our peaceful community to further build and expand without fearing minor dangers (major will always be there no matter what we do. Like arbites coming).
- can be a shield against injustices and for protect/aid the weak
- retritbution against evil cults or raiders that are inhuman in their acts (that are probably more than present here. Let s remember that chaos can expand faster and in all directions, do to using corruption and demons influence)
- protection against any predatorial fauna and flora of the underhive. That seems to be around, it can be' another source of food.
- in case at a certain point we fail in avoiding imperial attention and we aren t strong/influent enough for take the whole hive, you will probably sacrifice yourself for let as many christians escape the imperial fury.
As a general idea it would be' better to not be like the imperium (as violent and brutal).

>>4074860

>we do create a Holy Order, let it be one of charity, good works, proselytizing, and pastoral care

Factions like those are good as well, since it further helps our main faction.

I do think that a faction of fighters would be good but have them be more intent on the sun tzu style of winning with the least bloodshed and with intent of monk styled pacifism (not stupid!pacifisn), also considering the core traits of Christianity is that of peace, saving souls and sacrifice, we could have more boons by following a diplomatic style on the main faction you know trade, conversion, security, etc...

>1 success = The merchants tolerate your preaching knowing that you are responsible for the cleared tunnles and ease of access to the market, but they do not show care for your faith and state their prior responsibilities to their gang are more important.

Each merchant you apprach to convert somehwhat politely listens to you before turning you down. They say that they like the new cult we are running but they need to stay loyal to their gang. Each one does this in turn almost as if they were prepared for this. This continues through the week until you approach a merchant who seems to have little wares with sunken eyes and no guards. You speak to him not with words of faith but those of concern where are his people? He breaks down sobbing in front of you, crying out that his gang was brutally slaughtered by some horrific gang. They were skinned alive and tortured for hours. He ran as far as he could but the screams followed him through the tunnles. He just got here recently and didnt know what else to do. Offering him to join your flock he accepts gladly and thanks you for your kindness.

Let's continue clearing out the floors of our hab-block, as that seems to be the best thing we can do. Come next month and we'll have our tithe and harvest (However small either might be), at which point I suggest improving our church and buying some food.

We've got less than a month of food left, and although some improvements have already been made, some more would be welcome. Let's hope we don't screw up here.

melee

After hearing the horrors that happened to the other gang you know you must preoare your flock. You have your flock gather materials while the sect, Church of the fertile soil use the new manufacturing tools to craft weaponry for them. As no one has experiance with guns you focus on melee weapons. By the end of the week you have enough to arm everyone.

> crafted
> 73 shoddy melee weapony ( hatches, Sledgehammer, knives, spears)
> 8 passable melee weaponry ( swords, flails, battle axes,)

> Attempt to convert the Violent rat gang

Knowing a cheaper methood of food supply is nessesary at least untill the mushroom farm grows out more. You set yourself to the task of converting the Violent Rats. Thinking a similar methood to the Brass slicers may work you try to catch one of them at the market to convice them and through him convince the rest.

2 = Some of the gang are converted by the earnest praises of their fellow member. While not wholly converted the gang is sympathetic to your cause.
3 = Most of the gang including the leader are at least interested in your cult and come to your church to ask to learn more.
Crit-Success = apparently this ganger is something of a gifted orator himself. In only a weeks’ time he managed to convert his entire gang and his leader comes to your church personally and offers his service to your God.

So the issue with it counting is that means spamming rolls is now a legit tactic for 1's and 100's and 7s. The point have having a reroll is that you can use it when needed having the spam tactic allowed kinda also makes rerolls much less valuable. If you really want that to be the system I can work around it but i would reccomend against it.
>>
>>4075551

Honestly, in that case it shouldn't count IMO for exactly the reasons you described.

Also, I only just realised that it meant an actual roll of 7. Up until now I simply assumed that it meant 7 successful roles. Seems I'm mistaken.

At the market you find one of the Violent Rats carrying food and dropping it off at their merchant before going to look at what is begin sold. You catch the man on his path, asking to speak with him. He seems uncomfortable but obliges. You are about to go into your normal preach about god and how it can affevt his life when you suddenly see somthing, hear somthing, feel somthing beyond your normal senses. You understand. Taking the gangers hands you tell him "My child, Polt doesn't blame you for what happened. She wishes for you to find peace in this life away from the pain amd suffering down here. Learn to sew like you always wanted" At first the ganger look incredulous even angry. Then as you continue to speak his face falls to that of sorrow and he begins crying. You hold him as a father would their children and say "Come I will give you want you need, you no longer need to cause bloodshed no longer need to suffer your own misdeeed." And guide him to your church. You have the manufacturer's craft him the tools ams give him what little thread you have and send him home with a prayer in his heart. Over the next week he returns with friends and they sit and listen to you sermons. The man you first spoke to comes up to you at the end of the week and tells you he has worked with his gang and got you a discount on food for what you did for him. He thanks you profusely again before leaving.

I think Confession/ Reconciliation are really important sacrements, but we'd need more priests besides Joshua Abiel first. If we assume really abridged confessions of 5 minutes, that's still some nine hours of hearing confession for our whole congregation.

We could also offer mushroom in soup for all who attend Sunday mass as a way to draw in more people since the food situation may begin to improve and it would be for just one day

We could take a member of our flock under our wing and as we train them in the faith and spreading could give the work of makeibg a copy of the Bible

"I appeal to you, brothers and sisters,in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought." (1 Corinthians 1:10)

Even discussing these divisions seems unhelpful. There aren't any issues of hierarchy to deal with, there are no children (yet) so anabaptism is a non issue. Like the early Christians, let us follow the Bible and deal with issues as they arise, with no plan but that which GOD has laid out for us.

>>
>>4077217
hear is what i propose we spend the rest of this year doing starting from most important to least.

1) Become food independent, while it is nice to have a month's supply for 1 throne, it is better long term if we are producing enough food that we have a monthly surplus. Which will allow us to feed the local homeless population, and have more influence in the Underhive as a producer of food?

2) we need to work on the commandments of our faith. the ten commandments, the lessons, and morals that Jesus. part of this entails teaching people how to read and write so that we can eventually send out missionaries to other parts of the Underhive.

3) Reclaim all of the Hablock, not only will this give up more room for followers it will allow us to build up our economy. Which will give us more opportunity to spead the faith.

Food sustainability is key down here the sooner you can stop buying the Veridians the sooner you can use the money for better things. As well if you produce surplus you can feed the needy down here preventing them from resorting to violence to meet their most basic needs. To this end you have your flock once again work in the mushroom farm expanding the space it has to grow, It takes back breaking work to continue to dig through the underground and expand the plot of dirt you have formed. By the end of the week the farm has more room to expand into for the still budding mushrooms.

You receive news from some of your flock and the Violent Rats. A new gang is making a name for itself expanding with surprising speed called the Flayed Vultures. They seem be known for their abhorrent cruelty, applying gruesome torture to their enemies rather than just killing them. This sounds similar to the story of the lone merchant you converted

While you are untrained in teaching your sect they quickly pick up on the new skills. Knowing that this new gang will soon become a problem not just for you but all the underhive you decide to continue the training of your flock. With enough spears to arms most of your flock you train them in basic imperial formations and combat. The closest you can come to is the bayonet on your rifle but the jabbing motion is similar enough. By the end of the week they all can get into rank by shout and most are half decent in melee combat. “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?” 2 Corinthians 6:14
After a brief introduction you are allowed into the territory of the Scarlet Knuckle. They have heard of you and your church and want to know what you have to offer. Their leader approaches you first,
“Why haf yo' come hyar cultist”
“I have come to spread the word of my Lord and to seek an alliance against the coming storm”
“Yo' mean th' blasted vultures, They is a-comin' near mah territo'y ill take yo' up on thet”
“Together we will shine the light to blast away the darkness. Put an end to the terrors of these foul men.”

After a few hours the both of you eke out a deal. If this Vulture gang comes, you will aid them and they you. The leader allows you a hour or so of preaching before you leave, in that time it seems you made a few of the gangers curious. Over the rest of the week you give them special attention to convert them to your faith.

>continue to fortify the church making improving the barricades in your territory of the tunnels or improving the defenses of the church itself.
> Focusing on the tunnels themselves, so everyone is our greater territory is protected, not just the church.
Working together with the two gangs you are aligned with, you work on fortifying the tunnels leading into your territory. Each pathway is blocked off with steel scraps leaving only a narrow pathway if you do not want to leap and crawl through rusted steel, barricades are also formed using the construction tools allowing those defending the spots to hide behind something that should be bullet proof. This should help keep all scavvies in your combined territory safe, the Scarlet Knuckle are especially appreciative of this given their proximity.

> Gained
>minor reputation
> well-fortified tunnels/ only partially cleared. (shared with Brass slicers and Scarlet Knuckles)
Your action feels all the more correct when mass waves of scavvies from outside your territory come to your fortifications. Fleeing from the terrors of the Flayed Vultures start approaching the fortifications they beg to be let in. The Scarlet knuckle’s leader thinks this is a terrible idea food is Scarce enough as is, but the Brass slicers more connected with your faith say we should as it is what Jesus would expect from us.
>Let in the refugees? Y/N

>Develop your faith with a commandment for your flock to follow (No idols / no other gods)

“You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God.”

Knowing you must steel the faith of your followers in this coming storm you give them a critical commandment. No one may serve a God other than ours, for the LORD is the only god and the only good. The rest are cruel devils who only seek to drag you away from the path to heaven. For too long have these daemons and false idols held sway and they will no longer upon your flock.
Only very few of your followers still held faith in the god emperor in mankind and with this it is shattered for when has this emperor helped them. Only god has shown the mercy and kindness that has brought them higher than they have in years. The gangers the come as well hold to this commandment.

Suggestion: if the flayed vultures exist on one side of our controlled and guarded tunnels, why don't we just let these refugees pass through to the far side of our controlled space? That way they can have us between them and this threat, we can avoid food difficulties and we avoid letting the Flayed Vultures get to them.

If that is the case then I must question something: how is it the Cult cleared the tunnels in a half-a-kilometer radius around ourselves (as of >>4072591) in "every direction"? Yet not bothered to clear and then fortify these other levels? Either ways to move between levels are rare or we must be in control of some and thus have fortified the other levels as well.

>Tldr: we've fortified a kilometer: is it a level or a bubble? If a bubble then the route they must take is even longer / riskier.

Additionally, you aren't considering the fact that other gangs will be occupying the regions you suggest they might travel through. Meaning that any attempt to chase them would be a fight the entire way. Assuming they were even bothered to chase them that far, given the issues the underhive has with collapsed tunnels and so on, any attempt to chase beyond known ground would be fraught with risks and dead ends.

>Tldr: why would they chase minor people through dangerous unknown regions filled with dead ends?
>>
>>4079175
Becuase they are most likely chaos cultist, of slanesh and those fuckers love being sadistic. If we don't let those scavvies in we are pretty much guaranting there slow painfull deaths at the hands of chaos cultists.
>>
>>4079175
Mine is a theory not an answer.

In regard to how they could pass there are some options for them. They where able to expand fast so i imagine (i imagine it s not a complete answer because we don t know all of them.) , they could intercept those poor souls in some way or another. Even if we let them pass.

In regard to risks for them or chasing people, they are probably attract by their numbers and they probably don t care about risks.

But again we don t know anything about them, for what we know they could try to fake to be normal scavies.
>>
>>4079175
going up and down between layers is relatively difficult with the pathways jealously guarded by gangs and many other collapsed. however each layer as im going to organize it will be about 20 stories as the hive itself is kilometers high about 11. which is almost 7 miles. so a bubble in the traverseable tunnels in that area 20 stories area. which going above is difficult the nearest one held by the Violent Rats. im working on a sorta map

From what you are hearing from the refugees they enjoy in causing suffering and often try to extend the death of those in their capture as much as possible. They have started attacking not just other gangers but any scavvies they can get their hands on which is why they are runnning.

Everone but joshua and Samuel are unable to read. We can't make preachers and pastors until we teach people to read.
>>
>>4079207
Well then, that sounds like a good place to start preacher training.
>>
>>4079177
At no point have I suggested we shouldn't take them in, just tried to provide an alternative that doesn't carry the risks of taking them in.

>>4079183
>Mine is a theory not an answer.
Nor is mine but I feel my arguments are based in sound logic and reasonable inferences.

They are expanding quite fast I grant you, given they seem to have been knocking over a gang each week (which implies we might want to finalise any preparations just in case we're next) and it is possible they could catch these people but it is far greater a risk that feeding these refugees off of the stocks of our lands wouldn't be possible, risking our own security. Not to mention the risks of infiltrators from this gang among their number.

>>4079184
So if I'm understanding you correctly the situation is basically:

1) Each layer of Hab-blocks is 20 stories tall.
2) Layers are filled with tunnels connecting each block on each floor of that layer
2) We've only fortified the "streets" of our layer of hab-blocks
3) The Layers above and below us are not fortified by us or accessible (broadly)

Which makes perfect sense but makes me curious if we have access further down: since food must be even rarer down there and the situation even more dire, it's possible we could make a good profit trading food down-hive.
>>
>>4079216
Yeah thats correct. I will post a map to have it make more sense once im done with the update.

Further down is an option if you wish to go there. It is often filled with mutants living off the slag that remains down there. They tend to be persecuted more often then the scavvies and even are purged when the adeptus decide to have a "group training exercise" You don't have access to a tunnel down right now as they are even rarer then up but with some effort you could find one.

>Have them craft crude armors and weapons from the scraps in the tunnels. Focus on guns

Knowing that to have the most of your flock survive any battles armor will be needed you have your flock focus on crafting armors. Most of them take scraps from the tunnels while those trained in engineering work with the tools on crafting the armor itself. Over the week a few dozen of makeshift shields and iron plating are created while a few are quite skilled crafts given what they had to work with.

>Crafted
>> 37 shoddy armors (basic metal plating, scrap shields)
>> 16 passable armors ( Breastplates, cude helms, leather arms and legs, Shaped shields.)
>choose from the most faithful of your flock to train them as priests.

Deciding that more priests will be required as your flock grows and their religious needs grow you have decided to take the most faithful and begin training them. To start you teach them Literacy as a priest must be able to read and memorize the holy book. You walk them through their letters and lecture them on how best to tend to and speak with their flock. It is only a beginning but you can see their abilities growing.

i base what i have say on their expansion and brutality, and with this mass of people without protection going around in fear it seems like a very tempting target for them to follow and try to massacre.

i know feeding this refugees is a risk, but it s at the same time a great opportunity.

In regard to infiltrators we can hope they will betray themselves do to their nature, with strict controls made by us and the gangers and religious conversion aversion

Joining with the Brass Slicers side you decide to allow the refugees in to protect them from the horrors of the Vultures The Scarlet knuckles leader shakes his head at this decision stating it may be the death of us all. >>4079396
Doubtful, they would need to saturate the warp around the hive before even attempting to summon a demon. I think.
>>
>>4079396
If they manage to get their hands on a lot of people they could try. This could be a reason for them to go after the mass of people. Still a sacrifice needs time, usually. And it will attract attention, from the imperium . Maybe we should attack them and destroy them . Especially because more people will escape here out of fear. And more people and fear combine sound like something they would jump on. But we can give this people bravery and help, and the word of god.

Pray hard
>>
>>4079380
I would say no, its more of a faith/belief thing. Using another language wouldn't change that although High Gothic would make for far more fly lookin verses. So +1 to cool factor I guess.

>Fertilize the farm this month Y.
Spreading out another weeks worth of Verdians across the farm, it is nice to see the mushrooms have almost grown across half of the dug out area this fertilizer is clearly working.

> Write in. Any ideas for a untrained rabble to do.
Find similar fertile grounds to our mushroom farm. After finding them establish there new farms. (unless we can establish them already)
Knowing that food will ever be a constant problem and the mushroom farm is almost half grown already with further expansions becoming ever more impractical you send out your flock to hunt for more caves of dirt that can be accessed. Throughout the week your flock hunts through the now much more crowded tunnels searching for any hidden passageways that may lead out of the hive and into soil. Two spots are discovered one by the Samaritan’s Purse’s survivalist, while not full caves they are small coves of dirt most likely formed by collapsed in the tunnels while not able to be farmed right away and lacking the infrastructure of the last farm they can be expanded to be as effective as the original farm farm.

>2 dirt coves discovered

> Try to develop some way to farm the mushrooms with better efficiency
Once again you focus on the mushrooms, With the new refugees you will need some way to feed them before they starve and die. Boosting your mushroom production is the best way without spending all of your thrones.

[Spoiler] Crit-Fail = A terrible mistake, you thought they would get nutrition from the waste sewage, instead it poisons them. You have damaged a large portion of the farm and it will need to regrow.
0 = nothing you try seems to work, even worse the mushrooms you worked with have died off.
1 = You are unsure of what helps or hurts them. You have tried a few different waters and possible fertilizers but the mushrooms seem unphased.
2 = it seems the mushrooms like light. When bringing a tar soaked cloth into the cave and leaving it on a pole you sware they grow faster.
3 = One of your flock suggested that perhaps burying the dead here rather than throwing them into the reclamation machines might give them sustenance. After burying an old scavvie corpse in the tunnels near a mushroom patch they seem to expand across it rapidly.
>Crit-sucess = lighting, humidity, corpses cooler air. You find numerous ways to improve the growth of the mushrooms. It’s all hypothetical this early but you are sure making these small changes to the farm will speed their growth immensely. Despite rarely ever seeing a plant it seems you have quite the green thumb. Samuel, gathering all of the Fertalites together work as never before. Hammering, Rifling, Forging, and Welding as if possessed by the holy spirit. They labor in their manufactory spending every hour of the last month crafting new weapons armors and guns for the righteous. With Samuel Browns new learning each weapons is now inscribed with a verse from the bible.
The Armor. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith the LORD. Isaiah 54:17

the guns “Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle” Psalm 144 1
Samuel personally takes Joshua’s armor and gun with his blessing then engraves the verses onto them so they may be blessed in his time of need.

It’s all hypothetical this early but you are sure making these small changes to the farm will speed their growth immensely. Despite rarely ever seeing a plant it seems you have quite the green thumb

Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so. GENESIS 1:11
As you once again try and discover how best to speed the growth of the mushroom farm you feel the spirit of god influencing you, teaching you. You realize now how best to treat these mushroom so that they grow best. It is not just these veridians they need. Light, humidity, food, some way to cool the air these are all methods that will improve it. You quickly set up torches burning the slag that drips to these depths into the cave to give them light. As well you direct any future bodies to be buried in the path of the mushroom so that they may feed. To some this strikes as morbid but they do not protest given the horrors down here and the need for food. Humidity and cooler air though will be a challenge, you do not know the tools and methods required to do such things. Even humidity is a concept you barely understand.

>Conflict is on the horizon and knowing the surrounding Hab block like no one else Angel decides to make makeshift traps in order to block any small passages or vents through which the Vultures can attack the church
Together with his survivalists Angel stalks through the tunnels leading from Flayed vultures to you and your allies combined territory. Preparing insidious traps to kill and maim throughout so that any attacks and attempt to sneak in will be hampered heavily. Stealth will be key to not get caught by their scouts and guards.

2 = The tunnels are well trapped by the time you are done. Any traveling through them will be very injured if not dead. The scouts gave you a few issues but you were able to avoid them.
3 = Your Samaritans sneak circles around the Vultures scouts. You easily lay and fashion dozens of traps throughout the tunnels. Going through these is a death sentence.
Crit-Success = It seems strange but the tunnles are empty of any guards or scouts. You are able to lay traps with impunity, nothing will be getting through here any time soon.

>Set up a system to feed the refugees
(Food currently at 1 month 1 week)
Deciding that something must be done to feed the refugees before they starve you take upon the mantle of feeding them yourself. Carefully looking over the food you have you know you will need to stretch it thin to feed these people or you could spend your 3 thrones on a significant amount of food. You feel you have a few options available to you in setting this up.
>From what you gather there are about 2000 refugees in the tunnels

> Soup kitchen a few of your flock perhaps the priests in training will man the makeshift stalls giving out food to any who come.
>> Harsh Rationing - Just what they need to survive, a thin broth mushroom soup with some viridians sprinkled in. (Increase food consumption by 300%)
>> Significant rationing - A few mushrooms, some viridians, the rare piece of meat from a rat or some other foul vermin. Just enough to keep them from complaining of hunger (Increase food consumption by 600%)
>> Standard Rationing – Mushroom soup and half a pack of viridians. Should keep them healthy if they don’t do too much activity. (Increase food consumption by 1000%)
>> Barely rationing - Mushroom soup a whole pack of viridians and small piece of meat in the soup. Same as what you feed your flock. Will keep them healthy (Increase food consumption by 2000%)

2 = The tunnels are well trapped by the time you are done. Any traveling through them will be very injured if not dead. The scouts gave you a few issues but you were able to avoid them.

You are able to easily set up several traps with your sect, the scouts only come close a few times in your travels but your stealth and ability are far more them enough to outwit them. By the end of the month the tunnels are well prepared for any attacks that may come from the Vultures, as well your skill in stealth and making traps has grown.

> (Y) go to the front lines
Deciding to go to the front lines yourself it is time to put your imperial guardsman training to the test. You don your imperial gear for the first time in months, now inscribed in the verses of your LORD. You pray his holy guidance will save your people and end these cruel gangers.

Heading to the tunnel where they are most likely attacked you are joined by a few of your own men wielding the guns and weapons so recently crafted and full body scrap plating an impressive sight in the underhive, you doubt others have as much well-crafted gear. As well several of the Scarlet Knuckles and Brass slicers gangers are here armed with their own weapons, some jealously looking at your imperial gear and that of your companions. You all do last minute work on the barricade making sure that the metal plating is well formed and the holes for shooting will not collapse easily. As long as they don’t send a hoard it should be easy to hold.

You wait for hours idling the time by talking to the other guards about the god and showing them his virtues when suddenly the constant sound of thumping, mechanical movement, and shattering is broken by a scream the laughter rapturously echoing through the tunnels. You see light and great shadows mirror down the tunnel as you finally see them, the Flayed Vultures. Each of them appear to be greatly scarred and twisted, either their sexual organs grown beyond normal human proportions or their muscles bulging from their skin. Wearing little clothing to cover their body, On each of their chests a large mark is carved, a circle with a crescent moon facing back towards it and a smaller one jutting off from the circle. You feel the abhorrent power of the mark and know it is your duty to strike it down. Shaken but ready Each of the guards line their guns down the tunnel and begin firing cutting into the Flayed Vultures while they vultures fire back. A war scream turns into horrid laughter as one of their legs is viciously crushed by a trap. You raise your las gun and start firing into the hoard as well.

3 Success= The fire power of you and your allies mow down the foes (Deal three wounds)

You watch as somthing horrible happens to the last of the Vultures you were firing at. Its arms malform and turn into terrifying claws as its breasts grow outward yet also appear to become a carapace, It laughs minaichally and the vultures around it fall to their knees and prostrate themselves to it. Quickly with prefect accuracy you fire directly into its skull, melting it into a meat slag instantly putting an end to whatever horror was just occurring, God protects.

>Doroteya Group Leader of Slannesh (Killed)

3 Success = They stood no chance charging a defended position with no armor, they fall quickly (deal three damage)

It seems they started running out of numbers. Many of the vultures fall in quick succession as their moral breaks with it. Their laughs turn to screams and the remainder turn and flee back into the tunnels leaving their dead and wounded. Many of the fleeing are shot from behind by your troops and allies making it a slaughter. Your unsure if this was their main assault or just a test but it seems you have pushed back the first wave of these crazed Flayed Vultures. The men around you cheer and praise god ecstatically, you join them praising the lord. "But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." Corinthians 15:57

Later into the day when you back to your flock the leader of the Scarlet Knuckle thanks you personally for protecting his territory like you promised. "ah have nevah see a scavvie wif yo' dedicashun an' hono'. ah was wrong fo' doubtin' yo' an' yer faif." Afterwords he joins the crowd that day in the church listening to your sermons.

>Set up a system to feed the refugees
>> Significant rationing - A few mushrooms, some viridians, the rare piece of meat from a rat or some other foul vermin. Just enough to keep them from complaining of hunger (Increase food consumption by 600%)

In the market you set up your priests in training with makeshift stalls cooking pots and a few other members of the church to cook food for the refugees. The refugees at first look in confusion at this, “why would they cook their food here” “Do they intend to make us suffer and watch as we starve” Once the first pot of food was ready one of the priests brings a scrap bowl and spoon to a refugee “This is for you, it is against the lords word to watch you starve. Please eat.” The refugee stands dumbfounded for a moment before taking the bowl and quickly scarfing it down. The Priest in training states to the refugees that there is enough for all and guides them into making a line to take the bowls as they are ready. Many of the refugees thank them profusely and some cry never seeing such kindness in their lives.

>Reputation Significantly increased.

3 = Many of the refugees join you, pledging loyalty to your god and you after all you have done. They too wish to help their fellow man after your example and wish to follow your leadership where ever it will bring them.

Your preaching is listened to intently by those you are feeding and sheltering. After you are done many of the sing your praises and excitedly wish to join you. By the end of the week almost half the refugees join your church. This brings great joy to your heart. However food and shelter in the church is suddenly a large issue as you have almost 10 times the population that can fit in what you have excavated. Many of them now have to sleep out in the tunnels a dangerous prospect for many.

>1050 Scavvies join
>> 201 Faithful
>> 347 Neophyte
>> 502 cynics

>A third faction can be created first come first serve! If you would like me to post the rules and examples again please ask. You can use this month's turn as the faction.
>A notice to other factions you can spend your turns recruiting. Just remember your total population cannot be more than 10% of the Main faction’s population.

Next main options post will be in a new thread, I may resolve the faction turn here though. Once I have the next thread up I will link it.

what is our total population now
>>

Ok now we really need more food sources

Anyway, I'll take 20 new recruits from the Faithful if no one objects
>>
>>4081426
Yeah, definitely need more food
I think emergency scavenging is going to take up the majority of our next turn

Although, at least we'll probably be getting much higher tithes due to the population boom, so we can buy more food.

getting this posted now.

Brown recruets to the 10% maximum pulling from the Faithful and Neophytes
>>
>>4081425
1160 Scavvies so a lot.

Also if anyone has any feedback on how i've been doing running the quest or questions on how it runs please do ask.
>>
>>4081434
No complaints here, you've done a great job so far QM
>>
>>4081423
Looks good other then the members you can have a large chunk more. 10% of 1160. also actually have one more skill point so you are up to date with the other factions skill wise. Also you may want to do some spell checking on that description. Once you make the edits you can post your turn
>>
>>4081434
Its been great so far!

Thank you i appreciate the positive feedback! Good to know im doing it right.
>>
>>4081463
I was thinking about progressively recruiting more and more. The Samaritans are a scavenge/scout unit, quality is better than quantity in this case. Just diluting the faction with untrained scavvies would help no one
>>
>>4081475
Fair enough, that is true.

ok should be fine now

wouldn't be it better for my faction to have less, i feel like 10% is a lot, for a newbie faction.
like 50/30 instead
>>
>>4081481
It's fair to have less, I just didn't want the new factions to feel under-powered compared to the old ones.
You can post your actions now though.

>The hammers will clear a floor nearby to the church and prepare it for use, creating support and columns for security. This floor will be dedicated for cleaning, it will have several concrete tubs (as many we can make) where our people can fully clean themselves. These tubs will have enough space inside them for one man to use one of them. (nearby them there will be metal scraps made pots and sieves to change the water, filter it from dirt and purify it with fire.) At the end of the work it will be given to the church.

Great job, terrific quest. Keep up the good work king
>>
>>4081434
Most Baste quest on /qst/
>>
>>4081434
It has been great it's hard to have a quest like this were the protag can be a beacon of hope without just punching their problems away (not that there is problem with doing that mind you) we can really feel that Joshua is making a difference even if just a small part of a backwater planet on a galaxy wide struggle
>>
>>4081621
Even the mighty willow tree Begins Life as a seed smaller than a mustard seed. To borrow a much more well-known line. It's not the size of the dog that matters. It's the size of the fight in the dog that matters.

Clearing out another floor quickly reveals itself to be tough work. But with the construction tools and the hard work of the Hammers it gets done within a couple of week. The rest of the month is spent Crafting tubs from metal scraps and various appliances to wash oneself and purify water. By the end of it you have a functioning wash room, probably the only washroom in entire underhive. Soon the church will have the cleanest Scavvies in the hive perhaps the whole hive world.

>upgrade
>> Floor 4 Mostly reclaimed > fully reclaimed
>> Floor 5 reclaimed set up as a washroom
> health and moral of church increases.
>Mark offers help to Joshua in becoming better with melee weapons and in unarmed fighting, in exchange for learning how to use ranged weapons.

>Joshua accepts your offer with thanks. Together you practice on the skill you are deficit at. Joshua has a lot to go to train in melee combat only being trained to stab with a bayonet and you yourself have next to no aim with a gun. Throughout the month you work on shoring up these deficiencies you going through rigorous firing exercises with a stub rifle and Joshua sparring with you when he has time.

Joshua gained

>Church of the fertile soil
>Samuel Brown
>Brown has lived in the Underhive his whole life, seen more than most should. to survive he had to be smart learning the secrets of the machines around him and where the food can be found. When he heard the message of Joshua Abiel he knew that he had to join him.with the discovery of the mushroom cave Samuel knew that it was a sign from God that he was to cultivate this barren land into a lush garden. such is the will of God.
