Thirty or forty punks all tried to kill you at that restaurant. They got Wolf. She was still killing them as she was dying, and she laughed as it happened. The rest of you left a good body count before getting the hell out of there and driving off into the night.

Now it's time to get the whole crew together and break some fucking bones, until sooner or later, somebody tells you where you can find Spider.

Caphound smacks the ground, the aluminium of her bat ringing against the concrete floor. "Jacketwolf died! She died! My sister! Without me!" She screams in obvious frustration, the noise coming oddly out of the mask she had on. It wasn't just some storebought mask or something, it looked like she'd gotten a pro carver to make an intricate depiction of a snarling doberman, then slapped that on her face. Surely she got someone else to make it. Caphound was a crazy sociopath with a lust for blood and bone marrow. Her, sitting down with a set of knives and shaping that? No way. You could see a bit of her face through the open 'mouth' of it—lips, bit of flesh around there. It was a dark wood, but if you looked close it was splotched with... best not to think about it. Red hair flowed out from behind it

"I'm gonna beat that motherfucker into a coma if I see him! RAAAAAAGH!" She pounds the ground another few times, then instantly settles. There was still some anger and a desire for violence, sure, but it was hard to tell if that was just Caphound being Caphound or not. Such tempestuous mood changes were far from out of the norm. Part of why she was so scary.

Your stats are a bit off there btw. For one you should probably list the Hard/Cool/Sharp/Weird to make it a little easier on Raven, but also you've got the base stats wrong. You don't get 2 Sharp as Assassin, you get 2 Weird. Then you get 2 +1s that have to be on different stats (including Move among the possibilities).

Alan wasn't actually part of the gang. To be perfectly honest he was just minding his own business when he heard gun fire from a nearby restaurant.

When he peered through the shattered windows, he saw chaos. Men and women of various costumes ripping each other to shreds with bullets, blades and bad words. Bodies lay on the ground most lifeless, some clutching to dear life but trying to stem their fatal bleeding.

He watched a man desperately cling to his life, a ray of hope gleaming in his eye as he crawled to safety before it disappeared completely when a bullet shot through his skull.

Alan couldn't help himself and midway through he found himself embroiled in the melee, firing away with wanton glee or bashing people's skulls in with the stock of his gun.

Guts and brain matter scattered everywhere and it was WONDERFUL.

By the end of it, he'd followed the group to safety, offering to follow them no questions ask. Helping them as best he could especially in the medical area.

He even offered to let them put an explosive collar on him or take a finger if it meant gaining their trust.

The Jacks are a big gang of toughs and hoods from the next neighborhood over in Snake River, a maze of slums and canals and narrow alleys. Spider had a line on them and occasionally used them for shakedowns, shankings, and all-around dirty work, but they knew to stay to their side of the Flint Street. Now the word is tonight the whole lot of them are living large at the Nebula nightclub on Scale Street, right in the middle of Freedom Square, your territory, and their special guests are none other than two of Spider's main numbers guys. Those two are just accountants and middlemen, so once you get your hands on them, it should be easy enough to make them squeal if they know anything. The Jacks are something else. Most of them are scum scraped up off the street, barely worth the bullet it'll take to kill them. But some of their crew chiefs are actually hard bastards, and will take a proper effort to put down. Keep your eyes open in there.

A warm breeze pushes crumpled-up newspaper along the scratched surface of the parking lot, dancing shadows in the bright beams of car headlights. Your crew steps into the light, a main group approaching the front entrance of Nebula while others approach the two side doors. All the entrances have a gang of Jacks loitering. Out the open doors of the front, you can see the bright lights indoors, hear the muffled, rhythmic pulse of the music.

"Private party, assholes," the one front and center tells you. He turns and rests his hand on the butt of the pistol in his pants, making sure you can see it. "Why don't you take off, while you can still walk?"

"Aw, shit," one of the others behind him says, growing terror on his face. "These are those guys, the ones I was saying. This is bad! This is real bad!"

"So? Who gives a shit?" the first one asks. "You think I'm scared of some freaks?" Solomon's up front, and this guy looks him up and down with a face like he's looking at something nasty stuck to the bottom of his shoe. "Did you hear me? I said get the hell outta here, now!"

Caphound pauses again as everyone suddenly finds something to chip in. People tended to notice when she went off trying to kill people. It was annoying. But there was one voice that tuned out the rest.

Mizuchi was probably right. She needed to kill the bastards who did this, not some freak in love. There was a sort of sense to it, though she wondered why she couldn't just kill them both. Was this girl trying to help? That might be a reason. Either way, she'd heard that Mizuchi was the one to drag Terry out, so she owed something in there.

Her mouth twists into a scowl and she turns away. "Fine, she can stay." Caphound stalks off from the main group and finds a box to sit on. She'd thought she was coping, but whoever the goth was had set her back to when she'd first seen Terry's body.

The music pulses from Nebula with a bassline of gunplay. That kind of job. The operator nods; it feels offkey. At this distance, the music isn't quite right yet. It won't guide shots, and frankly, it's not worth dancing to. The Jacks have universal poor taste. They must coordinate their attacks on fashion, on music, on sensibility. No ne gets it that wrong by cosmic accident. Did a job for them once. Hard to recall what was more uncomfortable, now, in the shadow of this club. Maybe the job. Maybe dealing with the Jacks. And they paid late.

Way late.

That kind of thing sticks in the little quiet place in Twitch' head. The only place that's quiet. Twitch draws a gun, slams eyes closed against the bright havoc of hand-grenades. Waits. It's a club! You have to dance! Hell of a baseline. Waits, breathing in, tense. There. The thunderclap of a DMR lightning up the parking lot. Twitch moves. Second footfall is the sound of Ramirez shotgun booming, fourth step the thunder of Oкeaнa's DMR again, fifth fits the slap of bullets in bodies and then Twitch is up against the scratched club wall. Breathes out.

Vibrations here are louder, more solid, the wall shakes just so. There's a dumbfounded Jack within reach. He's hardcase thug who is half-turning towards Twitch, probably think he's hot shit about to stab someone. It's the wrong move for this part of the music. Twitch smiles, winks, waits. Caphound's a good dance partner, arrives on time. The thug never see her coming, fists flying.

All but one keen hardcase - always one heckler to any performance - who snaps a gun up to counter fire. Twitch lifts his foot from smoke grenade. Fists and elbows lash out, Caphound no longer bothering with anything other than animal instinct to rip apart anything in front of her and a slightly less animal instinct of using her gun to shoot whatever she can't immediately tear apart. Only a sliver of self-control is stopping her from rushing into the room with Harry and getting herself mauled by the mob of shitstains around the corner.

(I was going to run back to get armour but I didn't want to leave Solomon the only target in the open for the gunmen with 2 HP, Animal Within should let me tank two shots myself, or more dependent on crits)

Just so you know, I plan to add some kind of move to the game about throwing/knocking one enemy into another to knock them both down. So there'll be actual rules for that soon.
