Previously on STAR WARS - Interregnum...

You are FARREN GAELLE, Jedi Padawan and apprentice to Jedi Shadow BRETHON LARID. During and before the Clone Wars, you spent nearly twelve years hunting down and destroying anything and everything related to the Dark Side and their followers. It at a routine deployment at a Youngling chapter house that found you when ORDER 66 happened, the systematic betrayal of the Clones against their Jedi Masters. Master Larid suffered a neigh-catastrophic cardiac arrest, and lays incapacitated, leaving you in charge of twelve disparate younglings.

Rendezvousing with childhood friend, TOROK LAMAL, the two of you embarked into the UNKNOWN REGIONS in search of a fellow Jedi, KRISTEN CORRHO, who had gone missing on a diplomatic mission. Tracking her signal, the two of you encountered the TOF, a vile near-human race of marauders, and located her on one of their slaving outposts. From there, you infiltrated the colony and organized a SLAVE REBELLION with Ferroan war engineer KEIMANN and the three million slaves on the planet.

When the SLAVE REBELLION reached its climax, the capital city committed a majority of their forces to combat the slaves. Taking advantage of the chaos and lowered security, you and Torok slipped in through the sewers and infiltrated the viceroy's palace. However, while you found Kristen, she has been petrified in a block of CARBONITE, the brain-dead victim of a botched and dangerous process.

As you struggled to come to terms with this, you were interrupted by the VICEROY PARZ UGTEK, his family and honor guard, who sought momentary shelter in the gallery where your friend had been stored. In his grief, Torok massacred the guards in a bestial rage, and hounds the viceroy's family as they flee through the palace. The story resumes as you chase after him, fully intent on stopping him before he can do something that he will regret...

WEW BITCHES! IT'S TIME TO BUTCHER TOF!

Now anon, butchery implies the Tof are on the level of farm animals.
You see, I feel extermination is a better term for the elimination of this subsentient slaver scum.
The eradication of pests.

...

"Hold the line!” the captain shouts, “Hold the-”

He is unable to finish is order. There’s a sickening noise as Torok dislocates his jaw, and seizes the man’s neck between his teeth. The captain has only a second for surprise to register on his face before your brother bites down, hard and deep. A spray of blood erupts from a ruptured artery, painting the ceiling and floors in a slick splash of crimson.

All of the Tof stand dead in their tracks, frozen to the spot as the Cathar spits out the twitching corpse of their captain. His breath is labored as his jaw resets; tears stream down his cheeks, and his Jedi robes are slick with blood and gore. Two hands grip the hilt of his lightsaber with enough force to turn his knuckles white as he rears back for another attack.

“Give her back!” he screams, bisecting a guard right down the middle. He lifts a hand and curls his finger into a tight fist. Four marauders go screaming out of the window and into the abyss below, and another two crushed against the hard surface of the ceiling. “GIVE HER BACK! GIVE US BACK OUR SISTER!”

“Run!” one of the marauders says, shoving the viceroy behind him. Parz nearly slips, somehow falling into the arms of his wife and elder sons and daughters. They take the soldier’s advice, fleeing with all haste into the hall behind them as more soldiers hurry to fill in the gap.“Run, and don’t look back, my lord! Retreat back to the panic room on the-”

“THERE IS NO WHERE YOU CAN RUN FROM ME!” Torok’s roar is nearly deafening as he chases after the fleeing Tof, uncaring of how many of the guards fall in to block his way. He is like a force of nature, an implacable machine as he slaughters any and all that would stand in his way. “NOWHERE TO HIDE WHERE I WILL NOT FIND YOU, SLAVER SCUM! YOU WILL NOT ESCAPE THE PUNISHMENT FOR WHAT YOU DID TO HER! I WILL KILL YOU ALL!”

>Chase after your brother and stop him from doing something he might regret.

Cursing, you race after the Cathar. “Dammit, Torok!” And to the droids, you order, “B33, cover me!”

“This unit will comply,” it answers dutifully. And true to form, he unleashes a barrage of blaster fire at an oncoming unit of Tof marauders. And from the opposite direction, he unhooks his second blaster and aims for the next reinforcements as well. “Commencing covering fire.”

HK-82 chimes in, “Statement: Master, your fellow meatbag has been emotionally compromised. As a protocol droid, I must inform you that I fear for the safety of the viceroy’s children and wife should no more guards stand in his way.”

C'mon guys. I think that we should let the slaves mete out their fate. Literally these folks have been suffering forever and we kinda lost one friend and now we are the arbiters of justice over years of slavery? I say we be fair. Plus the slaves will love us even more for it.
>>
>>4020684
I for one am more than happy to throw the Viceroy's children into a horde of angry slaves while forcing him to watch them be torn apart.
>>
>>4020684
That is that, and this is this. I'm sure the former slaves will be understanding of our anger
>>
>>4020684
That would be a form of poetic justice.
I'll dig it for now Anon. But if it ends up being relatively bloodless or barely brutal I'll be sorely dissapointed.
>>
>>4020684
That assumes we have enough time for parties and ceremony. Unless you're leaving the kids to the ones staying on the planet, everybody should be pretty busy trying to leave.

How about the Carbonite freezing again?
This time with no care as to whether any of them survive the process.
Just forced to watch as one by one they are all forever trapped.

Its a "Not our duty to judge them, The slaves should" kinda deal.

Your face could have been carved out of stone for the silence that answers him. A vibroblade comes from behind a corner, one that you dodge easily and answer with a fluid riposte and counterstrike. A squad of Tof unleash a hail of rounds, all of which are easily deflected. Their shots are panicked and wild, and go far off the mark; the culling of the elite guard, it seems, has forced the Tof to commit what little left of the guard they have.

A wayward look through a window confirms this. The turrets atop the gates have stopped firing, and you can see the uniformed soldiers pulling back and retreating into the palace. Their silence does not go unnoticed by the slaves, who surge forth like an angry tide towards the looming gates and walls of the palace. Between their collective arms and the munitions of the fighters, it shouldn’t take long to bust down.

The spaceport and markets are nearly a total loss. Only a fraction of the off-worlders managed to return to their ships and leave. Those left behind are being boxed in by the masses, their security detail fighting valiantly in spite of the horde. Idly, you observe a ship that’s being dragged down by the sheer weight of the people that have clung onto the hull.

As you cut down the last guard, you reach out with the Force...

...and you recoil at the thoughts of the slaves.

>>Later

There is nowhere for them to go. Torok had brought down the ceiling, trapping them against an immovable pile of rubble. Some try to dig through the debris; others try to find an escape from the long corridor, only to blanche at seeing only broken windows and the vast space below them. But all recoil, screaming in terror as the Cathar advances with the methodical deliberation of a predator.

“It was never anything personal, Jedi,” insists the viceroy, shielding his family behind his impressive girth, “...only business...kill me if you must, but please...please, spare my family...”

“Did you stop when Kristen asked you to?” Torok snarled, raising his lightsaber. “Or the countless other slaves whose lives you’ve ruined and tormented?”

“They know nothing of this!” the mother begs, cowering over the youngest of her children. Her daughters huddle behind her, as her sons stand defiant and fearful against the Jedi. “Please! The white soldiers only told my husband and I we would be rewarded for their capture-”

That was the wrong thing to say. His angry shout is nearly enough to set a series of hairline cracks running across the ceiling and floor. “CLONES?! You compound your crimes by collaborating with traitors! You damn yourself with your testimony, woman!”

“Leave her alone!” One of her sons slips from out of his father, ignoring the screams of his family as he rushes Torok with a cutlass...

...only to be stopped in the middle of his charge. The weapon falls as the Tof clutches his throat, gagging and struggling to breathe as he’s lifted into the air.

I'M FUCKING NUCLEAR ANON
THIS WHOLE RACE IS GOING STRAIGHT INTO THE SHREDDER.
>>
That we kill the viceroy is understandable. It's wrong, but it's understandable.

That we kill a unharmed woman and her child, in cold blood... No, if we do that, they're is no forgiveness, every act of kindness, every good deeds that we shall commit after this will be considered as an hipocrisy.

How the fuck can you talk of being better than most if you act like the worst of them.

>>
goddamit he is also traumatized with clones
>>
>>4020715
To be fair they did shoot his master down in cold blood. Probably before his very eyes.
>>
Not going to lie killing the tof here like this is not our place we came to get our jedi. Take them and go, the planet has seen enough death. The dark side will lead to nothing good just as it turned Malak on Revan it will turn Torok on us. Let the children go and let the tofu leaders answer to the slaves that suffered under barbarism.
>>
>>4020709
Nigga these lil ones will harbor a grudge, and when they get older they'll call on their reinforcements to try and hunt us down if we only gut the dad. It's better for everyone to just end them now
>>
>>4020719
Or just not kill any of them, we have what we want we can just leave. Instead killing them will only hurt Torok and insult all the jedi that just died.
>>
If we kill them. We'll fall to the dark side. If we let them live, they might escape and join the empire. The patrician choice: We let the slaves mete their fate, whatever that implies.

Cease this foolishness, Farren. Let go of your hate. You've lost your sister to the Tof, and soon you will lose your brother to the Dark Side.
>>
>>4020718
But Anon, if the Dark Side truly leads to nothing good then it is our duty as Jedi to make sure the slaves don't fall to it's allure. So killing everyone really is the best option, they can't fall to the Dark Side if the Viceroy and everyone else is dead.

If we were a more bright hearted individual then yes, let them live.

“Where are the Clones?” Torok asks with an unnatural calmness as he holds the holds the viceroy’s son in the air. His father’s eyes bulge wide with fear and helpless rage as his child begins to suffocate. “I could snap your firstborn son’s neck like a toothpick, viceroy...but answer me and I’ll let him go. Where are the Clones that accompanied Master Aure and Kristen Corrho?”

“Dead!” the woman screams, held back only by the grip of her sons and daughters. Her hands desperately reach for the son that is convulsing within the Cathar’s telekinetic grip. “They’re all dead! Your ‘Jedi’ killed them all during the ambush we laid out. Please, let my son go-”

With a dismissive wave, your brother releases the Tof, and sends him back to his family. The young man crashes into his father’s arms, and they all fall into an undignified heap of tangled limbs and foppish clothing. They circle around him, helping him up as he clutches his throat and takes in air. And by the time they look up, the padawan is only a handful of feet away from them.

“...then our business is concluded, viceroy.”

Disaster is averted only at the last second. Just before Torok can raise his blade, you finally catch up. Hot on your heels is B33, stopping any and all Tof reinforcements from reaching you and Torok.

“Wait, wait!” you shout, augmenting your speed with the Force in order to come up alongside him. The viceroy’s eyes open wide, disgustingly hopeful at the sight of an advocate. “Torok, stop!”

The Cathar stops, turning towards you with a dethatched expression on his face. And you try not to notice that faint discoloration that leaves his eyes as he meets your own. “Ah, Farren, you’ve made it. We will need a witness for their last moments. But considering how you were the one to orchestrate everything...”

He seizes the viceroy by his neck, jerking him away from the screaming members of his family. Parz lands on the floor, shaken and fearful as Torok continues, “His head is yours...between you and I, we will even out the tally between the remainder of the family.”

The fear is thick enough for you to nearly gag on it. You take a moment to gather your breath, pointing a harsh finger towards the cowering family. “What are you doing? A Jedi does not kill unarmed prisoners...”

“Unarmed? Their firstborn drew a cutlass on me. And I think we can both agree that this...” He pauses to kick the viceroy in the ribs, hard enough to hear a crack echo down the hallway. “...piece of filth needs to face justice for his actions.”

“You are a Jedi, the boy is a fool!” you counter, “And don’t think for a second that I didn’t feel that surge in the Dark Side of the Force. Who’s justice are you after for, brother?”

“Kristen’s,” he growls, “Master Aure’s...our justice. Our actions are completely in the right. Kristen would-”

“Don’t you dare finish that sentence.”

Yes, we do.
But such abilities lie in the darker parts of the Force.

The Tof however fully intended to leave her like this forever.
How can you possibly think they deserve any mercy?
We shall do to them what they did to her.

Besides, if she truly wishes it, whenever we do manage to heal her, we can come back to this planet after fixing her and unfreeze the Viceroy and his family.

She'll remain frozen in that scream for as long as it takes us to find a method to bring her back.
A constant reminder of our failure to protect our sister.
A constant motivator to save her now.
>>
>>4020780
“...she would not have wanted to be frozen in carbonite,” he snarls, placing a foot upon the neck of the viceroy. “The point remains, brother, that they must answer for their crimes. These Tof...all slavers are the same, growing like a cancer in the galaxy...” His empty hand clenches into a tight fist. “...they must be culled appropriately.”

He ignites his lightsaber, and brings the weapon down upon the viceroy’s neck. You are too late to try and stop him, and can only wince as blood splashes across the floor, and the screams of his family echo down the corridor. The head of the viceroy is frozen in the middle of a scream as the Cathar seizes it by the braid of its beard.

“The Jedi are the Republic!” he shouts, flinging it out of a window. “And the Republic is the Jedi! We are the enforcers of its will through the galaxy, no matter what this ‘Empire’ would say. And slavery of this magnitude is a crime punishable by death!”

Aided by the throw, the viceroy’s head lands amongs the throng of the slaves that batter and smash at the gates, who part as the object lands in their midst. It is soon taken up by the slaves, mounted upon a rifle as their efforts to breach the palace are bolstered exponentially.

“Slavers are like weeds, Farren,” your brother says as you stare out the window. “...had I been Revan four thousand years ago, I would have exterminated the Madolorians for what they did to my people. Saved the galaxy a whole lot of trouble. And I’m sure that the rest of those slaves down there would feel the same way...”

You can’t even shake your head. This is madness. The viceroy is dead, but that won’t be enough. Even with their oppressor’s head paraded around like a toy...the slaves won’t be satisfied, Torok won’t be satisfied...

“One down...” the Cathar’s voice is low as he turns towards the family. The late viceroy’s wife is slumped over her husband’s body, shrieking and sobbing hysterically as her sons and daughters try to pull her away. The littlest ones are rooted to the spot, frozen as the light of Torok’s lightsaber reflects in their eyes.

“...don’t worry...I’ll make it quick.”

>>How will you respond to him?

Standing by and allowing evil to occur like the Viceroy's wife or their hellspawn offspring is evil in itself.

A family that will forever despise the jedi.

As soon as our master wakes up he's going to put down Torok like any self-respecting Jedi Sentinel would. Can hardly believe we, being trained as one for years, would let our emotions get in the way of putting down a feral Dark Jedi. Yeah, because lopping off parts of Torok's body is exactly what we need to do right now.

>>You have gained an amount of Dark Side points.
>>You have gained influence with Torok.

Genuine surprise breaks out across your friend’s face as you deliver your judgment. “You would throw them to the slaves?”

“We’re not the only ones they’ve wronged,” you argue, “...the slaves deserve their pound of flesh just as much as we do.”

The Cathar seems to mull on this before nodding slowly. “Of course. Forgive me. I...had acted in haste.”

That’s not all he did. You cast a side glance to the firstborn son, who’s neck still lingers with the bruising indicative of a Force Choke. Your brother has dipped into the Dark Side of the Force, and gotten a taste of its intoxicating power.

...you shiver at the thought of what Master Larid would do if he were in your place. There are mitigating circumstances, the foremost being the decimation of the Jedi...but he’s always been ruthless in his purging and hunt of those within the Dark Side. It was only for a second, but you cannot help but worry that Torok’s life is in danger...

“Statement: I am relieved that the viceroy’s family was spared of any crimes against sentient life.”

Leave it to the droids to take the tension out of the room.

HK-82’s voice bobs and modulates with every step that B33 takes to arrive at your location. The two blasters in its hands are little more than molten slag as it skids to a stop, reporting dutifully before you. There’s barely a scratch on its chassis, barring a few lucky blaster shots and a few scuff marks. Altos certainly wasn’t lying when he said it was durable.

“This unit is reporting a complete and utter victory against all hostiles,” B33 reports, “And my proficiency with Tof weaponry is at the level of near-mastery. Master, I require new enemies and weapons in order to develop and self-improve.”

"...well done." You give him an awkward pat on his shoulder. “And you will get them.”

“Master, I noticed that pistol on your hip...my Tof blasters have melted, and I am unfamiliar with that weapon. May I borrow it?”

Considering the one who gave it to you and her clan’s particular stance on weapons...

“I’ll find you some new ones,” you assure the droid, gesturing for him to drop his ruined weapons. They clatter to the floor, and he replaces them with his classic E5 blasters. “I need you to take these prisoners down to the bailey...and set your weapons to stun, not kill. They're on trial before the slaves.”

“Statement: I have not had the opportunity to provide counsel in a court of law...”

Trusting in the Force had nothing to do with either extermination. The first time was because of dogma and the second time was because the Sith completely clouded the Will of the Force then outmaneuvered them.

Even the Third Purge was because the Sith caught them unawares and used a massive war as cover.

The "Light Rising and the Dark to meet it" is a misinterpretation of how the Force is meant to work, considering Avelonne has the same understanding of it as Disney...
Yeah, it is wrong.

Farren is Old English (meaning "journey ready") and Farah is Arabic (joyful). Gaelle is French derived from Breton and Irish/Gaelic ("foreigner").

Do you honestly think Slavers get to enjoy the benefit of their sins ending with themselves?

Would they themselves, not go for your wife, your children, your family if you were disobedient?

Were this a civilized system, you would be right, but this world is made by the Tof, and they should receive such punishment as they themselves were prepared to mete out.

This world is a bed they made through direct action, it is now time for them to lie in it.
>>
>>4021094
>The "Light Rising and the Dark to meet it" is a misinterpretation of how the Force is meant to work
Anakin was the chosen one. Even George Lucas acknowledges this. The prophecy was for the chosen one to defeat all the sith. How did the force choose to go about this? By having the entire jedi order destroyed, all the remaining jedi killed, and spreading the influence of a human supremacist empire. Then when Vader's kid turns him back to the light he kills his master and dies himself. What a roundabout way to fulfill the prophecy. And all of this was done by the "Will of the Force".
I'm pretty sure Avellone has a decent understanding of the Force anon.

>I guess even Lucas misinterpreted it in the end despite him writing it somehow.
How? That wasn't his interpretation.

The Jedi were strong in the Golden Age because they had a thousand years of peace to grow and develop. The Sith were strong under the Rule of Two because it was cumulative.

Jacen Solo isn't one of the stronger Sith Lords because Luke is Grandmaster at the time (well he is, but that's only because Luke taught him), it's because he had massive potential.

If the Light Rises to meet the Dark, why weren't strong force-users popping up all over the Galaxy during the reign of the Empire?

If "balance" is the two forces in conflict, or the eradication of both, why does the scale seem to tip towards the Light so much more frequently, and when the Dark does reign, it's destructive?

>We're not seriously taking that bastardization of the KOTOR era seriously, are we?
I mean, that's the strongest we see Revan. So if you discount that, there isn't a single Grey Jedi/Force User who comes close to the upper echelons of the Dark Side or the Light.

>>4021105
The Force didn't do any of that. That was all Anakin. Don't downplay free will and make it all sound like predestination. Anakin chose to save Luke in that moment, he could have chosen not to. Palpatine chose to torture Luke and Vader. The Force didn't make them do any of that.

>I think looking for a healer would be less expensive and time consuming.

“First time for everything, but I’m afraid that the jury might be stacked against you...”

As Torok goes about gathering the family for their trip down to the courtyard, you discreetly radio the Ferroan: “Keimann, are you there?”

“If by ‘there’, you mean smushed up against a gate as this mob tries to push through it,” the engineer has to shout to make himself heard. “Then yes, I am here. Do you still need that extraction?”

“No...I need the slaves to stop battering down the gates. We’ll be opening them from the inside.”

“Understood. It might take a few shots in the air to get them to listen. So don’t mind those if you hear them down below. That head that landed...and half the glass of the spires being blown out. Was that your work?”

“...Torok’s,” you admit, “But that’s not the point. I’ve got the viceroy’s family coming down. And I’d really appreciate some formalized trial before we throw anybody to the mob...army.”

The Ferroan pauses for a good few seconds, and his reply comes back tinged with surprise. “I must say, I wasn’t expecting that. We were half-expecting to have the entire family raining in bits and pieces above our heads.”

How morbid..how typically Keimann. “Just keep the slaves in line, okay? Grab as many of your level-headed warriors, trusted authority figures...and get them to keep the others in line.”

“Will do, Jedi. Keimann out.”

You pull Torok over. “I got the location of Master Aure and the codes to her cell from that muun technician.”

The Cathar nods, growling. “We should have killed him.”

You don’t dignify that with an answer. “Point is, I want you to go and find Master Aure once we deliver the viceroy’s family to the slaves.

He protests. “I would see justice carried out-”

You forego to tell him that “mob justice” is the furthest thing from authentic justice. But you don’t do that.

“Take a long walk, brother,” you insist. Firmly. “The viceroy is dead, and we need to rescue Master Aure and secure Kristen. Go get Master Aure while I deliver the Tof to Keimann. I want your emotions to be as smooth as a river stone by the time we get back to the Bantha...because Force forbid I let you within one parsec of the younglings with the way you are now.”

...it takes him a while, but he sees the wisdom in your words. “Very well...but only once we’ve delivered them.”

“Of course.”

“You can’t do this!” The mother manages to tear herself from the corpse of her husband, grabbing your robes with the desperation of a woman possessed. “Do you know what those...animals outside will do? They’ll butcher my children, mutilate my sons, violate my daughters-”

Any pity you might have had for her evaporates with that particular remark. “And your husband was perfectly content to let the other Tof run roughshod and abuse the ‘animals’ that you’re so afraid of.”

Dark side and Light side are not about morality, but about emotion.

Ultimately, if we rob these people of this historical moment to mete out justice, we rob them a chance to grow as a people.

This is a turning point to them.
If you deny the victims their just retribution, you doom these people with an eternal desire for it. They will forever resent you and the Tof.

If you however allow them this, they will forever remember the great victory that they achieved and regardless if they are enslaved again, the knowledge of that victory will save them and all who hear of it from apathy.

Regardless, the force is larger than any individual life. And considering how rare force visions are in the first place implies either a lack of willingness to share on part of the force, the inability to communicate that deeply with the force, or both. If in the former case then force visions are simply manipulations of the force to achieve the result it seeks, and in the latter case force visions would be more constant and not only received occasionally with people who are strong in the force. Since it's obviously not the latter then it must be the former.

To the rest of her family, you point your lightsaber and gesture for them to move. “Drop your weapons and get moving. It’s time for your day in court.” They sullenly obey, undoing sheathes and letting holsters to drop onto the floor. “And don’t try anything funny. Just because the gun’s set to ‘stun’ doesn’t mean that it doesn’t hurt.”

“Damn you, Jedi!” the mother shouts as she struggles against B33. “Damn you all and your wretched kind!”

“...you’re a little too late, lady...” Exhaling, you follow Torok and the droid as you escort the viceroy’s family down the palace. “...we already are...”

>>The Lower Bailey

True to his word, Torok breaks away and sprints towards the cells of the palace once you make it to the first floor. Several of the viceroy’s children look up, as if the departure of their father’s executioner would grant them a measure of respite. But you keep them going forward.

“It’s time for your day in court.”

The gates open with a depression of a button. And as those begin to slowly groan open, swinging outwards on gears and gyros dozens of years old, you reach out with the Force and push the great doors open. The afternoon sun of the Mylar system casts a beautiful sight on the angry mob of slaves as they wield the tools that they once slaved away with. You spot a wide variety farming equipment, pickaxes and chains...had they seriously hung someone from a lamppost? Hopefully it wasn’t Ingmar...

...you’d rather be dancing with Nomiana rather than suffer through this, but it’s time to face the music and the consequences of your actions.

Keimann picked his ‘officers’ well. They do a great job of holding back the more raucous of the slaves at bay. The noise they make nearly deafens you as you present to them the family of the viceroy, but they remain in place. Some of the more excited ones are shoved back or threatened with clubs from the more forceful officers...two of whom you recognize as Suzui and Elbawaark. The nagai and wookiee don’t fail to notice you either, and greet you with a wave. You return their gesture with a shallow nod.

The Ferroan is the first one to approach. He steps out of his circle of confidants, sprinting towards you with all haste as necessary. The crowd goes wild, chanting, “GENERAL! GENERAL! GENERAL! GENERAL!”

“I see you’ve done well for yourself!” you call.

He actually looks embarrassed as the two of you clasp hands. “I never rose above the rank of lieutenant in my specie’s military...nor have I ever had command of over a million people.”

“First time for everything. You ever heard of field promotions?”

“...they should be calling you that, Jedi. Jedi General Farren Gaelle has a nice ring to it, no? For all you've done-"

He frowns as you flinch. "...I think for best our sakes, we shouldn't say that aloud save for an inside joke."

It’s clear that he doesn’t understand your discomfort, but he nods. “Very well. I’ll respect your wishes...” He pauses as he turns to look at the viceroy’s family, who return his glaze with either sullen or heated glares. “It’s the least I can do for what you’ve brought me...brought all of us...”

He examines each one, and his expression changes from each one to the next. He offers nothing but contempt for the viceroy’s wife, and a particular look of hatred for the firstborn son. The further the line he goes down, the more his face changes, from total ambivalence to the younger children, incredulity at the viceroy’s daughters...

“Well, now...isn’t this a treat?” Keimann grabs the jaw of one daughter, and holds her as if he would kiss her. “I often wondered what the spawn of Parz would look like...and I must say that I’m relieved that you take more after your mother. I’d hate to have you warming my bed with the face of your father against my pillow...”

She tries to spit in his face, but the Ferroan’s grip doesn’t let her work her mouth. “Ah...ah...careful now, your ladyship,” he murmurs, leaning in closer with a dark glint in his eyes. Her eyes go wide with as he looks at her like one would a snack. “...that won’t do at all...save the effort for the privacy of our own quarters, unless you want everybody to see us? Aren't you certainly brave for a girl of your social upbringing..."

At the aghast looks that both the viceroy’s family and yourself give the engineer/general, and the enraged look of her brothers, he releases her, shaking his head. “As if I’d ever stoop to that level of barbarism...I have my pride as a Ferroan after all...

“Although...” he blows a kiss in her direction as he walks back to the front of the courtyard, “I’m more than willing to let her work off any crimes to society by serving aboard my ship...and the position is entirely up to you. Choice is yours...”

...it must have been a tick of the light, because the implications of the blush on the Tof’s face are too disturbing to comprehend.

“...I’ll take that as a ‘yes’, then,” Keimann chuckles as he approaches the crowd of slaves. Suzui gags, rolling her eyes as Elba shifts discomforted. “Nobody touch that one, understand? General's orders. I’ll be personally overseeing her remediation to the galactic society.”

The Tof in question has at least the grace to look embarrassed as the slaves whoop and jeer. As for her family, her elder siblings look disgusted and her mother...her mouth moves, but nothing’s coming out. Is she that scandalized that she’s having a stroke?

Still...ignoring your own unease and considering the worst that could happen, the girl would be safer with Keimann than simply thrown into the lot of the slaves. The only thing that gets you is whether or not that was an act or not...but either way, it was totally Keimann.

At your own scandalized look, he laughs, “Don’t worry, Jedi. I’ve always wanted someone to fold my laundry. Swear on my honor as a former member of the Ferroan Spaceborne Cavalry that I won’t have her do anything she doesn’t want.”

Oh yes...because that totally makes it justified to leave him, a Ferroan in his mid-twenties, alone with the company of...

You give the girl a look. “Oy, how old are you, kid?”

“Sixteen galactic standard,” she answers in a heavy accent.

Just great...wait a moment. “Former?” you ask. “You aren’t going back to your home planet?”

He shakes his head with a rueful smile. “These people...” he gestures to all of them, the hundreds of aliens that have packed themselves into the courtyard and the millions that are scattered across Mylar-3. “...some of them won’t be able to go home. And with this ‘Empire’ that you told us about, and the absence of the Republic...we’ll be safer in the Unknown Regions.”

The crow murmurs and hums a dull roar of agreement. Once they settle down, Keimann continues, “I understand that you have your own mission to deal with, Jedi. I can’t fault you for that. But as the one who led them, armed them and shared the hope you gave me...I feel responsible for all of them. And I can’t just leave them to wander on their own.”

His choice of words might have come off as a verbal jab...and to a certain extent, they do. No matter how you parse it, the slave rebellion was only a distraction for you to get into the Opulent Palace. And once you had “rescued” Kristen, for all intents and purposes...

You give him a smile, and saunter over to him and offer a hand. “...then I wish you the best of luck. You really earned your rank...General Keimann...”

“...thank you,” he accepts with a firm handshake. “...if we ever need your help-”

“...I’ll see what I can do.” You can’t make promises, but you can at least grant him that much. “And if I hear a single thing about you mistreating that girl...”

Your grip turns just a tad bit too tight and the message comes across. He grimaces and nods, grumbling, “I really just want someone to darn my socks...”

You let him go with a snort, and he moves back towards his place before the crowd. Taking a loudspeaker from one of his men, the Ferroan says: “You have fought bravely, my brethren! Our chains have been shattered and our oppressors now kneel before us, trembling in fear!”

Keimann seems to be intent on whipping the crowd into frenzy. “You all know the Lady Parz, the revolting and vile ‘Miss Fifteen’, who always got fifteen percent for every man, woman and child that was sold from this planet!”

Their response is a deafening roar of disapproval.

...this is where you make an exit stage left, and trust that Keimann won’t do anything...too far out of line.

“Query: Am I really not about to practice council?” HK-82 says with an audibly sad intonation.

You ignore the droid, focusing on the viceroy’s children. But just to make sure, you reach out with the Force and check. Even if the mob won’t tear the younger ones to pieces, there’s still a chance that...

“And the crimes for Pezat, son of Parz?” Keimann continues to shout, as his guards bring the firstborn son of the viceroy out adjacent to his mother, “Who set his hounds upon slaves as sport, oversaw the Massacre of Tram No. 5, and preyed on no less than four hundred boys and girls and left their corpses impaled upon the parapets?!”

The response is an overwhelming roar, a blast of pressure that nearly breaks you out of your concentration...

...but no. You open your eyes, squinting at the sudden light. To your relief, none of them are Force-sensitive. That would have been disastrous, no matter how you cut it.

Shaking your head, you mumble to HK-82, “Yeah, no problem. B33, you’ve got my frequency. Be sure to meet us at the spaceport when we give you the call.”

The supertactical droid nods. “Understood. This unit will take this opportunity to analyze the process of ‘mob justice.’”

“Statement: Thank you, master,” HK-82 adds, “I will not disappoint you. I will ensure all of the rights and civil privileges afforded to the family of the late viceroy.”

You try not to snort. A droid, giving rights and due process to a family of slavers? Only in the Unknown Regions...

You saunter off back into the palace, intent on finding Torok and Master Aure. And as you enter the doors that diminishes the roar of the crowd, you are just able to make out your droid’s opening statement to the crowd.

“Statement: Objection!” 82’s voice calls out from the platform. At the confused looks that the crowd directs towards him, B33 flips the bag on his back to present HK-82 on his chest. “As a protocol droid trained in both legal and paralegal representation, what you are doing is nothing short of kangaroo court! Addendum: I have no image in my database of what a ‘kangaroo’ is. Nevertheless, I will be representing the family of viceroy Parz Ugtek.”

>>The Opulent Palace

It doesn’t take long for you to track them down. All you had to do was follow the Force signature that reeked of a smoldering anger. And it didn’t even matter as to which one it was! It could have been your brother, you’re your master’s friend. Both had good reason to be...more than upset at what’s happened over the course of the last week.

But Master Aure’s seen better days. The zabrak consular hangs off the side of Torok and walks with a very visible limp. Several of her horns have been broken, and one of her eyes is swollen shut tight. But there’s a fierce resolve in her eye, a burning declaration that she was beaten, but unbowed, and now rises once more.

She squints at your arrival, nodding with a grimace. “Padawan Gaelle...which means that Larid isn’t too far behind. How kind of you to drop in and save me.”

You swiftly move to help her, uncaring of the filth that adorns her robes and armor. You sling her other arm around your shoulder and her through the corridor. “Master Aure, are you alright?”

If looks could kill, then hers would have caused beskar steel to melt into a puddle. “No, padawan, I am not. I was ambushed and betrayed by my clones, drugged at a dinner that promised our safety, watched my apprentice scream and beg for me to save her as she was sealed inside that thing and feel the Force just...disappear from her body...”

The zabrak’s face screws in pain, both from pressure on her bad leg and something else within her. Still, she perseveres, her words dripping in sarcasm, “Add in being thrown into a cistern three stories deep, and that’s been my week. But how about you? How’s your week been?”

There’s hurt in her words, and you can source it pretty well. Witnessing what happened to Kristen...it couldn’t have been a pleasant experience. Torok’s reaction was one borne out of both his relationship with her, certainly, but you can’t deny that there was Cathar tones to it as well. And given what you know about zabrak and their driven natures...

...to put it lightly, you’re surprised that Master Aure isn’t drowning in the Dark Side of the Force. Perish the thought that you would wish such a thing upon her, but it is still a surprise. A welcome one, at that. Truly, that is the difference between a padawan and a master...

Your amazement is dampened by the thought of your own master.

“I heard about Larid from Torok,” Aure grumbles, “You have my sympathies, padawan. You did more than a good job, herding those younglings and coming here with the big guy. When that...” she struggles to come up with a word for the incident, “...when that thing happened, it felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest. She felt it too...brought both of us to our knees.”

Torok growls. “This new Sith Lord will pay. As will the clones.”

“One at a time, and all in due time...” the consular frowns as you pass through all the bodies of the fallen Tof. “...I sensed that something was happening when I was in the pit, but I wasn’t expecting you. Was this all your handiwork? Your master would be proud of you.”

You flush at the praise. “Thank you, Master Aure.”

“He’d do what you did twice as fast,” she remarks, utterly gutting the warmth you felt, “...and he wouldn’t have hijacked fighters as much as place a cruiser in-atmo and threaten to shoot everybody. Maybe throw in a seduced wife here or there, a few more refinery explosions to hold the planet's atmosphere ransom in exchange for the release of the slaves..."

“...yes, that sounds like master...” you weakly finish.

(cont,)
>>
The zabrak’s laugh is dry, cut short by a wince as she clutches her midsection. “Once I can laugh without my ribs aching, remind me to share with you a few stories of your master. I was only a kid when he got knighthood, but I still remember a whole lot of crazy stuff, the kind of kriff you wouldn’t believe, happening to him. Straight out of a cheap holo-vid, padawan...and he’s a damn good friend.”

Even with the walls made of reinforced hfredium and durasteel, you can still hear the roars and jeers of the crowd outside. And what you think is a very painful scream before it’s violently cut-off...you trust Keimann won’t have anything happen to your droids, but the chants of “beat them, beat them” are starting to get worrisome...

“I would’ve done the same thing...” Aure says as you make towards an elevator. “Chuck all of them at the slaves once I ripped the viceroy’s head off his shoulders. His and that shrew of a wife. These Tof are...really something else. I’d take the Hutts any day of the week rather than serve another diplomatic mission...unless it was the terms of their surrender as we surround their homeworld with a full battle fleet.”

You and Torok exchange a look. “Did they hurt you?”

“They were too afraid. Even half-drugged as I was when they did that to Kristen, I was still powerful enough to make the palace shake and burst a few power cells. Best they could do was figure out how to coup their losses and toss me away until they knew what to do with me. Knocked me out with a big stick and by the time I woke up, I was already ten meters deep in the hole.”

She remains silent as you enter the elevator. And as the door closes, she shakes her head, a grimace on her lips and eye screwed shut. “...take me to my apprentice. Take me and leave me there for a few minutes...”

>>The Galleria of Splendor

It isn’t easy to enter the room. To see that face contorted in terror and agony...it still brings a shiver down your spine and a rage that curdles helplessly within you. Killing the muun would have done nothing...and the viceroy’s already dead, and his wife’s well on her way to getting what she deserved.

Torok’s temper flares briefly before it’s tempered with a profound sorrow. But it’s a drop in the pond complete to the wellspring of despair that bleeds from Master Aure. The zabrak’s breath hitches, and she collapses to the floor before her petrified apprentice. Her mouth moves, but nothing comes out, silent apologies and pleas to return answered only by a silent scream.

You pull your brother away and gently steer him to a corner of a galleria. “...we need to get our sister out of here.”

“I agree entirely,” he grumbles. “I’ve already arranged for Brownie to come and pick me up with the interceptor. With all the slaver’s ships either grounded or out of the system, it should be safe for me to bring the Bantha here.”

“Give the younglings a bit of a heads-up, yeah?” you murmur. “I don’t want any of them...panicking at the sight of her. Truth be told, I’d rather get her out now and spare her the indignity of her...last moments.”

“What’s stopping you?”

“The search for a cure. Master Larid’s bound to have something in that holocron library of his. And that might take months, years...and I wouldn’t want her to age and waste in a bed while we look for a way to return her to her normal. And there’s no guarantee to put her back safely in.”

“A noble idea,” Torok muses, but he’s unable to look at the block, “But by the time we find a cure, we’ll be old enough to be her masters!”

That elicits a snort from you. “You’re certainly optimistic about this...although that’ll be a surprise for her, at the least.”

“...aye, it will be...” he slings his arm around your shoulder, “...but we’ll bring her back. The two of us. And we can make it right once more. Salamanders...?”

“...together,” you complete as you bump fists together.

The elevator behind you dings softly, causing both of you to jump at the sound. The sound of footsteps slowly approach the galleria with a deliberate slowness, one after the other. It’s enough to make even Master Aure stand up from her reverie, a fierce scowl on her face.

At her silent and angry gesture, you stand up, and walk towards the door of the Galleria as it opens. “Hey, look, we aren’t in the mood for visitors-”

Snap-hiss!

It is only by sheer instinct that you’re able to dodge the first attack. By the time the second comes around, you’ve pulled out the closest lightsabers on your belt. One of your own golden ones and Kristen’s teal hold back a double-bladed beam of red light aimed directly at your neck.

“...TeaL?” the helmeted warrior exhales, its voice distorted by the heavy apparatus that covers his mouth. “nO that caNNOt be rIGHt...The StoryTeLlER saID two gOld, nOT ONE gOld aND ONe teAL...hOw cOuLD tHIs bE?”

“Farren!” / “Padawan!”

Both the Cathar and the Zabrak rush to your aid out of instinct...only to fall flat upon the ground. Aure curses and winces as she holds her bad leg, but Torok looks surprised at his own exhaustion. You aren’t. Force Scream damages both the user’s enemies and his own body.

But that’s beside the point...there was no Force signature until the last second...where the hell had this guy come from?! A pit of dread enters your stomach as you suddenly register the crimson blades...was this the Sith Lord?

The masked warrior speaks, even as he continues to drive his lightsaber towards your neck. “...motHer, FAThER, sister, BROTheR...AH, i'm sOrRY the cOlorS dO NoT MAtCh...”

Lightsaber Rank is a measure of your proficiency with a blade. All Lightsaber users throw 2d6 when making a roll, but you add bonuses to supplement that roll, based on factors such as your lightsaber proficiency, the attribute(s) associated with the Form you're using, and any other miscellaneous bonuses along the likes of circumstance or special lightsaber materials.

For example, let's say that Farren is using Form II/Makashi on this warrior that he's currently fighting. As he has the Makashi Expert trait, he gets to roll 3d6. We would then add his lightsaber rating of 3, and his finesse of 3 to the roll.

We would then get a roll of 3d6 + 6 Makashi (+3 Rank, +3 Finesse).

Meanwhile, if we were rolling for Form VI/Niman, we would roll 2d6 + 8 (+3 Rank, 3 Finesse, +2 Cunning).

I hope that explains it.

‘“Get...the hell...off of me!” you snarl, kicking the warrior’s legs with your foot. With that moment of freedom, you Push with the Force, and send the masked figure slamming back against the elevator doors. “Who are you?! Who sent you here?!”

The warrior offers no answer, merely standing up from the impact. He cocks his head, readying his lightsaber once more as he continues to murmur, cradling his head with his hand, “tHe sTorYtElleR waS wRong...tWo gOld wouLD bE fOuND amONG THE MAuSoLEum Of the LIvING dEaD...bUt perHaps HE HAs gOLd...”

He pauses, turning to you. “...wHEre Is YOUr GoLD, jEDI? YouR OtHEr gOlDeN bLAdE?”

“...Dark Jedi...” you spit. “And an insane one, to boot. What are you doing here?”

The warrior jerks at that. “...No...NOt jedI...nOt DaRK jEdI...Not SiTh...SimPly...reVeNANt...”

And with that, he throws himself against you once more.

“Get them out of here!” you shout to Torok as you hold your ground. You’re not letting this scum within five meters of Kristen. “I’ll draw him up the palace and onto the tower!”

“Padawan!” Aure protests, even as Torok picks her up. “Padawan, be careful...this one...the Force, I cannot...aberration in the Force...”

“I’m not leaving you, brother!” the Cathar shouts as he lifts Kristen’s slab using the Force. By some miracle, anti-gravitation units have been installed, allowing for ease of access and transportation. Slowly, he pulls it back towards the opposite end of the galleria, to the other elevator down to the bottom of the palace. “I promise I’ll be back!”

“You better be!” you grunt as you dance away. With Kristen and the other’s safe and out of harm’s way, you no longer need to be fighting defensively. “Alright then...Revenant? Is that your name?”

The Revenant offers no answer. Cradling his head, he whispers, “...do NOt ScolD mE...YOur rAGE wilL soON bE SLaKEd WitH ThE bLOoD of ThE JEdi...”

And without warning, he rushes you, raising his lightsaber with both of his hands. And he still whispers in that same ethereal tone, that same distorted noise that sends a shiver down your spine.

“ ...dIe wELL, JeDi...” the Revenant intones as your blades clash in the galleria. What little ornaments are left intact are shattered and ruined by the force of your attacks. From what I can tell, Makashi is better at pure lightsaber on lightsaber user dueling while Niman favors mixed lightsaber and force power fighting. How that translates into quest mechanics apart from an added attribute I don't know.

>>4021455
Not necessarily. Depending on whether or not you're in the mood to gamble (or if you're going up against another lightsaber user), you could use Makashi. Niman offers a more solid, concrete bonus of adding a flat +8 to your roll of 2d6, which bell curves at around 6 to 8 when rolling from a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 12. You'd then be getting an average roll of about 14 to 16 with the added bonus of +8.

However, with Makashi, you get to throw three dice at the sacrifice of only having a +6 flat bonus. 3d6 bell curves around 9 to 12 on the possibility of rolling from a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 18. You'd then get an average roll of about 15 to 18, with the +6 bonus added in.

>>4021460
>>4021467

Lorewise, it's the style that was developed by the Jedi as the "premiere" style for fighting lightsaber-to-lightsaber. I factor that in as having lowered DC for success. Niman still has its uses among droids or a multitude of lightsaber users, which Makashi is ill-equipped to handle due to its focus on individual combat. Mechanics wise, using the Force while using Niman gives a +3 circumstance bonus to Force Checks. I'll add that in for the next sheet.

Where does it say ANYTHING about the Sith in the prophecy? It's intentionally vague: about the darkest hour and the SON OF SUNS.

We should customize our lightsabers with Cortosis Handguards.
We'd be tremendously effective against Dark Jedi when all we would need to do to completely dominate them is trick them into hitting our hilt and then they lose all lightsaber function.
Hell, we'd even have a far greater chance to escape against Vader with that little trick.

I say we just get loads and loads of tricks to help get the upper hand.
I wonder if you could miniaturise a Disruptor Pistol to the point of having it able to be used as a wrist weapon.
Grapple Hook is always good, as is the traditional flamethrower.

Bombs are pretty great too.
Poison gas grenades are again, effective.

Also something of potential merit to look into is a density projector, so we can resist force pushes.

Lucas has said that anakin fulfilled the prophecy. The jedi masters are notoriously blind to the effects of their own actions so having doubts about the prophecy being read correctly is completely normal, especially when the person whom the prophecy is concerning isn't happy playing ball with the side who's supposed to come out of the conflict on top. And no, that being the prophecy has never been confirmed in or out of universe. No one calls Vader or anakin the son of the suns ever. In that same conversation they were talking about the prophecy, Obi-Wan straight up says what the prophecy is about: "With all due respect Master, is he not the chosen one? Is he not to destroy the sith and bring balance to the force?" That tidbit from the journal of the hills being connected to the chosen one prophecy is completely headcanon.

I hope Nomi comes with us.
We need a weapons specialist for Space Nam.
We do need to know how she feels about Jedi though.
The Cathar Genocide was 4000 years ago Torok. Besides, it's like us deciding to slaughter the Senators for supporting Palpatine.

I wonder if we could make B-33 a combat medic by giving him the supplies and information on surgical procedure and medicine.

Ancient Sith would know how to pull it off. As modern sith lost a ton of cool shit over the ages. Plus they were the only ones to dabble in that sorta stuff because the Jedi Dogma outlawed it.

>>4022706
I thought we were going to teach him how to use a lightsaber so he can teach the younglings and force them to utilize more of the force while doing so because its the only way they can possibly beat the droid with his bullshit level calculations/predicting ability?

A concealed Disruptor in the wrist would be ideal, honestly.
And Cortosis is good because it's sometimes able to short out Lightsabers depending on how it's mechanics decide to work that day.

So a Disruptor and a Cortosis Blade ought to make him a Dark Jedi killer.
>>

>I thought we were going to teach him how to use a lightsaber so he can teach the younglings and force them to utilize more of the force while doing so because its the only way they can possibly beat the droid with his bullshit level calculations/predicting ability?
And also learn what is going wrong with how they are fighting. Since they're being helped by a tac droid, it could give them a minor edge in how they feel out an opponent's weakness.

I think camouflage would serve better.
But if we do make him look like a Bee, then I want to get him the most potent poison in the galaxy as a hidden weapon.

>Ancient Sith would know how to pull it off.
So, whereabouts does that leave us with Darth Traya? Would she have any ideas on fixing braindeath? She trained Sion, who could keep himself from dying. Bringing somebody like Kristen back should be possible with the knowledge she holds.

>teach him how to use a lightsaber
Yeah, he could easily become one of the most dangerous foes possible with a lightsaber as his skill would grow as he fought you and adapted to your style, forcing you to adapt as well.
A perfect training partner, honestly.
And a Tac droid would also be able to point out exactly what they should've done instead.

Honestly, it's funny.
Palpatine is obsessed with immortality and we've just got a Holocron of a woman who trained somebody who managed to accomplish just that.
>>
>>4022774
The Super Tactical Droid would make the perfect sparring partner be honest. At least until you start using a lot of Force techniques as its the only real counter for its bullshit capabilities.

>>4022818
The problem with Darth Traya is what reason would she help us fix her? She HATES the Force. So why help bring back a force wielder? I think we would have far better luck convincing her to help us cure a normal person with brain death then a force wielder.

Instead, we need to be...indirect. Ask her about where we can find certain relics/knowledge to help us with say immortality, bringing the dead back to life, and curing that which even force healing cannot. This is an opportunity she will pounce on because it allows her to make us play by her game and get corrupted by the sith relics/knowledge she will direct us towards. While this will risk us getting corrupted if her leads don't pan out in fixing our friend(sooner) rather then later we stop listening to her.

Treya won't be able to resist and since we aren't directly asking her to tell us how to fix a force user she will be far more pliable to it and won't be able to resist guiding us towards forbidden knowledge that she will hopefully make us see her way of things and betray others(Jedi through what we will have to resort to and the 'modern' sith who are lousy compared to their older counterparts). The temptation should hopefully be too much for her to resist. All she needs to do is help us fix our friend and thereby causing such treachery for everyone else.
>>
>>4022850
Kris doesn't hate the force, she hates that people let the sith and jedi dogmas control themselves, and allow themselves to become completely dependent on the force to function. She liked the exile because she closed herself off from the force and continued to live regardless.
>>
>>4022850
>The Super Tactical Droid would make the perfect sparring partner be honest. At least until you start using a lot of Force techniques as its the only real counter for its bullshit capabilities.
At least until we fit it with anti-force countermeasures.
A B3 Ultra Density Projector for example would make it a nightmare even for Force users.
Built in weaponry would also help.
I wonder if you could use Cortosis to give it a sort of frame with the purpose to redirect energy from Force Lightning into a weapon to fire back at the user...

Additionally, said frame would make using Lightsabers against it very difficult and would limit a lightsaber users options in battle...

>The problem with Darth Traya is what reason would she help us fix her? She HATES the Force.
She should probably hate Sheev more than she hates random Force users. Well, I hope at least.

>Ask her about where we can find certain relics/knowledge to help us with say immortality, bringing the dead back to life, and curing that which even force healing cannot.
Man, can you imagine how pissed Anakin/Vader would be if we found out about us getting the power to bring people back from the brink of death?
Imagine telling him that we learnt said power from a Jedi.
Well, Kreia is sort of both and neither, but whatever. Anakin would seethe regardless.

Kreia is a massive bitch, but using her knowledge to our advantage would be fantastic, she's an incredible lead on becoming strong enough in the force to not only save Kristen, but also to actually fight against Vader and Palpatine.
We do need to figure out more Lightsaber styles, definitely.
Forms 3 and 7 should be a priority honestly.
>>
>>4022885

>>
>>4022891

There's a reason it was/is the rarest of forms.
>>4022904
it's the best raw attack form there is, but it's kinda super shit on the defense or back foot. Also a good marksman would tear apart a form 7 user.
>>

What if we used Force Weapon on a Slugthrower?
Or more specifically, on the bullet?
>>
>>4022908
I wonder if we'll end up making our own interpretation of Form VII. Probably won't happen since the Creation of Vaapad ended with every person except the brainchild falling to the dark side and even then it relied heavily on his mindset and personality.

There’s a sect of Jedi called the Teepo Paladins who wielded both blasters and lightsabers at the same time. Similar to the Iron Knights, they were censured by the Jedi Order, and chose self-exile a number of years before the Great Jedi Purge, and haven’t been seen since in the wider galaxy.

“I don’t think so,” you snarl as you beat back a wild spin. “I’m not in the business of dealing with Dark Jedi.”

He seems to take great offense to that. A particularly heavy blow nearly blows past your defenses, and you’re forced to step back as he stomps towards you. The foe hisses, “reveNANT! nOT JeDi!”

“Call yourself whatever you want...” you grunt as you leap back from a wheeling attack, “...it’ll help my master catalogue your corpse.”

Your lightsabers lock, red meeting gold and teal as the power of the Force whirls around you like a tempest. The Revenant strains, growling as you beat an orderly retreat. One hand comes away from his lightsaber, and the taste of atmosphere is all the warning you have as Force Lighting erupts from his gloved fingertips.

They are met with your ‘sabers. But before you can attempt to reflect the attack back against its caster, the discharge ceases, and the energy dissipates harmlessly against the walls of the corridor. All that’s left in the air is the foul taste of the Dark Side and smoke for the Revenant’s efforts.

Examining his hand, the Revenant murmurs, "tHe sTOrytELlER WaS rIGHT...so SeLf-AssuREd was the FOe beforE RevenAnt, eveN WiTHIn THe ToMB Of his SiSter...”

A snarl tears itself from your throat as you advance aggressively. “You’re awfully chatty for a practitioner of the Dark Side. Maybe if I cut your head off, you’ll stop talking.”

Your challenge is not met with anything. The Revenant stands his ground, dexterous weaving one attack into the next. His armor hides a fleetness of foot, a swiftness that finds him matching your blows and hard-pressed for you to break through. This one’s had training that much you can tell. But not in any style you’ve ever seen.

But the Revenant continues to murmur as your blades crash against each other. “THIs is noT RIGHT, NoT right AT ALl! it mUSt bE TWo GoLd! tWo goLD!”

An opening! With an outstretched hand, you reach out with the Force and push. Your foe offers no resistance, merely skidding back and planting his lightsaber upon the ground to arrest his movement. And then...

“bROTheR...YoU arE RiGHT...” the Revenant moans, addressing some unseen speaker as he continues to attack, “...puRgE ThE TEAl likE fathEr At HIs aNviL, HammeRiNG AwAY, hAMMErINg The FIlth...”

The borrowed lightsaber in your hand grows cold and heavier as you register what he suggests. He would...destroy Kristen’s lightsaber for the sake of his psychosis? For the sake of this...storyteller?

Your opponent seems to think so. In an instant, the style of his attacks change as does the target. All of his swings, blows and flurries begin to address your right hand, the one holding your sister’s lightsaber. The Dark Side almost seems to coalesce around your opponent, and his attacks take on a sudden burst of inhuman strength.

And through the mask, his breathing seems to quicken in a deranged excitement, a psychotic relief only understood to him.

“...tHE rEveNant JOUrneYS TO A PLAnET in cHAins,” the Revenant recites, laughing as your duel takes you out of the galleria and into the corridors of the Opulent Palace. "...findInG A WARriOr WitH GoldeN blAdEs in ThE tOmb oF hIS SIster..."

One particular blow finds your weapons nearly jolted out of your hand. As it stands, you're slowly beat a retreat towards one of the unused elevators. All the while, the enemy pursues you with an inhuman drive. Every wild swing carves out a hole in the wall, every brutish strike opens a crack in the floor. The currents in the Force threaten to spiral out of control as yours and his wills match in an invisible struggle that sends furniture and debris hurtling through the air.

"ThE ReveNaNT eMeRgES vICtORiuS aND strIkeS hIM dOwN, bAtHes In hIS LiFe's bLoOd, ThE BLoOd oF ThE JeDI!"

You're so close to the elevator...so, damned close. You just need to fend the sick bastard off for a few more moments...

"...ThE wORdS aRe WRItTeN, the inK Is dRY aNd ThE paGeS aRE bounD iN blOoD." The Revenant's shriek echoes through the long and empty corridor. He receives no answer from either you or the corpses of the Tof. "thE STorytellEr wILL NoT bE deNIed!"

You dare to advance, just a tad bit reckless as you make a furious counter attack. The Revenant is borne backwards by the sheer ferocity of your assault. His weapon is only advantageous at a limited distance, and he does everything within his power to keep enough space between the two of you. Lightsabers crash and grate against each other, and the corridor echoes with your fury.

This is a foe possessed of unnatural strength, and driven by a frenzy that surpasses even your own cold anger. It’s a battle of attrition; both of you know this. Thus, you employ a desperate counter, seeking a swift moratorium on the battle. As you charge, you use your command of the Force to send debris flying at the Revenant. In turn, the foe seeks to blast you with lightning. Lightsabers flick right and left to ward off the projectiles.

But before you can stray too far from the elevator, you mount your final assault. You rush the Revenant with a series of blows aimed to the side, bringing the two-bladed weapon horizontal. He falls for a feint to his left with your golden blade, and only realizes the danger before it’s too late.

“Disrupting the machinations of Dark Jedi just happen to be my specialty!” you shout, “This planet is free, my sister isn’t dead, and I’m not even a real Jedi yet!”

And with the finality of a killing blow, you bring the other lightsaber, Kristen’s teal blade, down upon the Revenant’s lightsaber and cleave it right down the middle, and along the front of the bastard’s mask. Instantaneously, one of the crimson blades fizzles out as its kyber crystal disintegrates within Kristen’s lightsaber. Bits of half-melted slag and machinery go flying as you kick your opponent away from you, and nearly break your foot against the foe’s armor.

Even through the half-melted front of the mask, the visible surprise in the Revenant’s body posture is indicative enough. This was not an outcome he had been expecting. And before he can even begin to recover, you apply a swift application of the Force and send him flying back into the Galleria. His body wheels right through the air, smashing through at least two displays before landing in a crumpled heap.

“...I’ve had a terrible week,” you say as you approach his crumpled form. The breathing apparatus is damaged, and you spot an arm twisted from where it landed awkwardly against the floor. “And a terrible last few days. Fighting you is the only good thing to come out of it.”

Somehow the Revenant remains able to speak through the ruins of his respirator, shielding himself with the remaining half of his lightsaber. “...THe WIlL...OF the StoryTELLEr...”

“Tell your master to go back to the writing board,” you intone as you raise your weapons for the killing blow. “Because that story of yours isn’t gonna make the cut. This isn’t Kristen’s tomb...it’s yours.”

The damage you inflicted to the mask can no longer maintain its integrity. And as the Revenant weakly raises its remaining blade to defend your blow, it splits right down the middle where Kristen’s lightsaber had cleaved through...

...and the sight that it reveals is enough to halt your blades.

“...a...woman?!” you choke out.

The wind of the spire blows a lock of thin hair across her baleful eyes. And it’s only then when she realizes that her mask has been destroyed. Trembling fingers drop the remainder of her weapon as her hands go to her face. Black leather meets pale, jaundiced flesh; she hasn’t seen sunlight for several months.

“nO...” The sound of her voice grates upon your ears, like shards of broken glass that grind together. What starts as a disbelieving whisper turns out into a full-fledged shriek of agony. “...nO... No, NOnOnOnonNono!”

You rear back as she staggers to her feet, clutching her hands against the side of her head. She flinches at nothing, screaming at some unseen torture, “...MoThEr...FaThEr...SIStEr, dON't LET THeM...brOThER PRoteCt me... TheIR GAzes ARe BuRnINg...thEiR sCrEAms aRe kEeN aNd shRIl...”

The Dark Side of the Force thickens around her, and to your own horror, blood drips down the sides of her ears, the corners of her eyes and nose. She looks up and directs eyes the color of rubies not at you, but past you as if there stood some unseen entity that you could not perceive behind you. The look on her face is so convincing that you nearly turn around as she shrieks. Objects go flying and debris nearly knocks you to the floor as she meanders about the room, lightsaber forgotten and flailing wildly against invisible foes.

“I am THE rEveNaNT...” she whispers frantically, “I aM NoT...ThE lItTLE gIRL wHo fAilEd...THe helpLesS ChILd THAt dID NoThInG...tHIs wAS NeVeR A paRT OF tHE chaPTEr...?”

In her psychosis, she fails to realize where her steps have taken her. And all it takes is one single step that lands only upon air for her to lose her balance. Only at the last second does some measure of instinct seize her, a futile attempt to reach for the edge as her body begins to plummet down the side of the palace...

Your legs are already moving before rational thought enters your mind, augmenting your speed with the Force. Uncaring of the shards of glass that open cuts and wounds as you hit the floor, you slide forward, hand outstretched as all thoughts of your master’s teachings fade away from your mind, as all prior encounters with Dark Jedi slip away into nothingness.

...the only thing within your mind is the face of a crying girl in desperate need of help.

Somehow, you manage to grab her hand just before she slips out of range...and nearly scald yourself. It’s as if the girl is a wellspring of the Dark Side; it seeks to undermine your touch, attacking the offending limb furiously. Pain begins to shoot up your arm, but you continue to hold, stabilizing yourself with a stray bit of furniture.

“Center yourself!” you shout to her, wincing as the skin of your hand begins to blister. “Calm down! We’re both going to fall if you can’t-”

“storyTellER, stoRYTelleR, stOrYTelLEr, stORyteLlEr, stoRYtELler...” She isn’t listening. The Revenant hangs limply, armor and all, clutching her head with her remaining free hand. “takE Me BaCK...Take Me BaCk tO tHe opEn fIRE...uNDErNeaTH the MiDniGht sKieS aNd pLaiNs OF dIs...”

Amidst the vortex of the Dark Side, you close your eyes and reach out...

There is no emotion; there is peace...

Your mind is a blade, a sharp blade that pierces through the Dark Side of the Force...

There is no passion; there is serenity...

...and attempts to Sever its foul hold upon the girl.

>>You were not able to beat the DC required to Sever the Revenant from the Force.
>>However, you are able to perceive something within the vortex of the Dark Side...

Your conceptual blade is a light against the darkness, parting through tendrils of the Dark Side like a fiery brand. The winds that would billow and blow are nothing against your will, parting as you approach the eye of the storm. That would be the wellspring, the source of the Revenant’s power. Sever that, and she would be free from whatever plagues and ails her...

...when all a sudden, you are no longer on Mylar-3, hanging from a slaver’s palace as you attempt to rescue a Dark Jedi.

You stand upon a desolate plain, staring up into an unknown sky. Three moons hang within the black canopy, three spheres of white, red and obsidian that you can only perceive as an absence among the stars. A cursory look to your left reveals an infinite expanse of grass, and one to your right reveals a similar display.

...is this the homeworld of the Revenant?

But with your first step comes a presence, a voice as smooth as velvet silk that purrs right behind your ear:

“...well done...it’s a rare one to get this far into my vortex...”

You seize, grasping your conceptual weapon and aim towards the voice...

Suddenly, you find yourself at the foot of a crumbling temple, an ancient mausoleum half-taken by the ravages of time. Its pillars are faded, bearing the stains of ancient battles fought, barely reaching any higher than a single story. A circle of fire envelops you, a fiery ring that burns with supernatural heat and prevents any and all from exiting and entering.

Somebody is sitting atop the steps of the ruined temple. The figure is ill-illuminated and hidden within his robes, but the light of the fire reveals him to be clad in armor. His legs, his arms...even his face, is hidden behind a metal mask that betrays nothing of its wearer. And within his fingers, he holds your conceptual weapon...one of the golden lightsabers you constructed as a child.

“...consider this a lesson,” the figure says as he reaches for the back of his head. With a hiss of pressurized air, the seal of his mask releases. He tosses it into the fire pit, and the flames devour it as if it had been dipped in fuel. “...a lesson in pain and arrogance...a story to tell to your friends and master.”

The flames around the campfire illuminate the face underneath the hood, casting light against skin of a deep crimson. Bone spurs protrude from underneath his skin, right down along his jaw and forehead. But perhaps the most damning thing is his eyes...eyes the color of molten gold.

And it is that where your blood runs cold as you recognize the alien.

A pureblood Sith...

“...the child is mine,” the storyteller intones calmly, examining your weapon with a cursory look. “...begone, little Jedi.”

And he shatters your lightsaber without batting an eye.

Your vision snaps violently, returning to Mylar-3 as pain beyond anything you had ever experienced courses through your body. The backlash runs through the Revenant and up your hand, as if you had dipped your hand into liquid metal. The flesh of your arm begins to smoke and blacken as lightning dances along your skin...

But as you try to lift her, another disturbance in the Force brings you to your knees. It robs you of your breath, leaves you gasping for air as your heart is seized with a profound sense of loss, an abyss of helpless rage and anger that draws tears from your eyes. It is strong, but it is merely an echo, a ripple that originated from some point in the galaxy no more than a few days ago...

...and the Revenant slips through numb fingers that cannot support her any longer.

“No!” you scream, desperately trying to reach her.

And all she does is laugh.

It’s an ugly noise that comes from her throat. It’s the wheezing, desperate sound of someone who had shattered and rebuilt themselves into a caricature of their previous self. The Revenant laughs as she cries tears of blood, continues to laugh as she spreads her arms and embraces the fall, laughing as she disappears into the depths below the spires of Serano spaceport...

It takes you some time before you can pick yourself up. Your right arm is numb, and doesn’t respond to commands beyond twitching. It will heal in time, but purging it of the taint of the Dark Side will take a considerable amount of mediation. It feels as if someone had taken an axe to your head, and you stumble back and fall onto the floor...idly, you check your belt just to make sure that you have your lightsabers...one, two and Kristen’s. Thank the Force.

But this victory is not one you rejoice in. Because even as the echo of the Revenant’s laughter remains within the ruined Galleria and haunts the corners of your mind, you’d be a fool to believe that the fall would spell the end for her.

>>Later

Even before it enters the atmosphere, you can sense the alarm within the Boss Bantha. Keimann had been kind enough to give you a private dock, but you still feel as if all the world’s eyes were upon you. The hatch dropped open to unleash an army of younglings running to your side, followed in tow by a levitating stretcher.

“I can walk,” you tell them, brushing off their hands as they lift you onto the gurney. “Really, I...”

None of them listen. Luaine barks out a sharp command and you are summarily wheeled up and into the bowels of the Bantha. Tork and Master Aure watch, apprehensive as Doc administers to you, peeling back layers of burnt robes and clothing that have fused to your arm. An injection into your neck numbs the pain and sends you to a mercifully dreamless sleep...

>>Later

You don’t know how much time has passed when you wake up. All you know is that it’s dark, and there’s a hurt in your arm that no painkillers can completely numb.

“...finally awake, are you?”

You jolt. That voice...

“Master Larid?” you whisper into the darkness.

“The one and only.”

The lights come back on, revealing your master in all his eccentric glory. He looks as if he had aged a few years since the start of his coma. More than a few grey hairs line the side of his head, and he’s in desperate need of a shave. But his eyes still shine with that eccentric light, that same gleam he had when he took you as his apprentice.

“...master...”

He actually looks uncomfortable. “Oh, don’t get weepy on me now, padawan. We’ve survived worse.”

“Worse...?” your throat is dry, but he brings you a glass of water. You drink slowly, somehow managing to gargle out, “...how could anything be worse than this?”

His expression goes pensive. “Hmmm. Hard to tell. I’ll get back to you as soon as the crud in my mind disappears. I’m still seeing miniature, pink kryat dragons in every corner, Farren. Whatever drugs that medical droid’s been refining are certainly not standard.”

You try not to laugh. It hurts too much. But you manage to sit up, glancing downwards at an arm wrapped in bandages. “...how long have you been awake? How long since I’ve been...asleep?

“Eight hours, give or take for the both of us. And all it took was that trans-galactic whale moan to finally snap me out of my coma...” he cracks the joints in his neck, popping vertebrae as he yawns and stretches. “Best nap I’ve had in a while, barring the cardiac arrest. But I see that you’ve done pretty well for yourself.”

“Master, I-” you begin, but he holds up a hand.

“You don’t need to tell me anything. Aure and Torok filled me out...” Profound sorrow and sympathy takes over his face. “...and I’m so sorry about Kristen.”

...you hold your silence for a few moments to get your breath under control. “...where is she?”

“I put her in within the reliquary. Standard restricted protocols. The Cathar raised hell about it, but only you, I and Aure are allowed access to her.”

“...not the medical ward?”

“Not enough room, and she’d terrify the younglings in her...present state,” he exhales, scratching the unshaved hair beneath his neck. “...they’re already on edge from the condition they found you in. No point in scaring them any further.”

You snort. “Who are you, and what have you done with the Jedi Shadow that routinely exposed me to trauma on a near-daily basis for the last twelve years?”

He shakes his head ruefully, chortling as he helps you onto your feet. “I’m not nearly as young as I once was. And given the last week’s events, I think we’ve had ourselves enough trauma to last several lifetimes.

“But I do have to know...” he glances down at your bandaged arm, “...what happened with that Dark Jedi? In all my years of being a Shadow, I've never seen anything the likes of what's happened to your arm.”

“...it’s a long story,” you begin.

>>You tell your master about your encounter with the Revenant

“A pureblood sith?” He stops you at that particular point, a severe frown upon his face. “Within the Revenant’s mind?”

“Either that, or some advanced form of Force Projection,” you murmur, reaching for another glass of water. “And I’m not sure which one’s worse; the fact that there’s a pureblood sith alive and kicking somewhere in the galaxy, or that a disembodied spirit’s latched onto some poor girl.”

He offers no further conjectures. “...this planet you found yourself on. Describe it for me.”

You dutifully recite the planet as best you can, vast plains, and three moons.

“...I don’t recognize the planet,” Larid eventually mutters, an unreadable expression on his face, “But there shouldn’t be that many planets with that unique trinary lunary system, especially in those colors. I’ll have to consult the archives if I’ve ever visited such a place.

“That being said...” he gestures towards your arm, “How does it feel?”

“...it hurts less now,” you answer truthfully, “And I think that a single long meditation should purge it completely.”

“Good.” He claps you on the shoulder, settling right beside you on your bed. “...because with our business here concluded, we’re shipping out. And as for you, my very young and brave padawan...the time has come for you to take your final trial.”
There could not have been any elixir within Doc’s medicine chest that could have provided a stronger jolt of energy. “Master?”

“Based on what you have told me, you have more than adequately conducted yourself in a manner befitting a Jedi. By no means is the Slave Rebellion a small feat, but seeing past the Revenant and beholding the true puppet master that holds the girls strings...an unorthodox, but valid Trial of Insight.

“All that remains is the Trial of Spirit...one that I’ve saved for the sole apprentice I would take into my custody.”

From his robes, he pulls out a holoprojector, displaying a section of the Outer Rim. He points to a blinking icon. “That right there is the dusk planet of Dandora. It’s a temperate world occupied by primitives, but what makes it dangerous is the Valley of Iraz-Galeth...seeped in the energy of the Dark Side and prowling with creatures of Sith alchemy. I want you to go there and purge the beasts using all of the skills that I have taught you.”

You blink. “...just like that?”

“Just like that,” he confirms. “And you’ll be a true Jedi Knight...or a Jedi Shadow, to be specific. When you return, I’ll be expecting you to take a padawan from the younglings.”

“...what kind of creatures would I be expected to encounter?”

Master Larid gives you a smirk. “Now, that would be cheating now, wouldn’t it? But nothing that you wouldn’t be prepared to face.”

You can’t breathe. This is...even in spite of all the aches and tragedies that have occurred...you now stand upon the precipice of being a Jedi Knight. All of your entire life, from your youth as a Salamander, to the apprentice of Master Larid...now, even with the Jedi Order all but fallen and sundered, you are believed to be worthy of carrying on that legacy...

...but your thoughts go awry. Within the disc of the Outer Rim, you could vaguely place the Kakarit System, where Arotta’s signal disappeared into. Your relationship with her is complicated and...messy, to say the least. Even then, your heart still aches and yearns at some unseen, unidentified emotion.

“...master, how much time will I have to complete the trials?”

He looks surprised, but answers quickly enough. “Two weeks at the maximum. Plenty of time for you to get there and come back, barring any minor inconveniences. I’ll have to assume the worst and leave Mylar-3, but I trust that it won’t come to that.”

Two weeks?! You run the math...and find to your excitement that it would take the same amount of time to get to the Kakarit system. But you despair as it would take another week to get to Dandora, and another to return back to the liberated planet. There is no way you could possibly do both within the given time.

Master Larid picks up on your distress. “Is there something the matter?”

You shift gears. “...what about Torok? Is he not ready to take his trials?”

His face screws into a complicated look. And before he speaks, he uses the Force to close the door. “...he isn’t. He told me his master only got him as far as you were, stopping short of Insight and Spirit. But even if he or you didn’t tell me (which I knew you would never) about what happened in the palace, I’ve been hunting Dark Side users long enough to tell when it’s stink has crept onto one of our own.”

Fear blossoms in your chest. Perhaps it’s a result of the drugs, but you leap to his defense, “Master, it was only after he discovered Kristen, and the ones responsible had come into the room-”

“I’m aware of the extenuating circumstances,” he grumbles, “But the fact remains that if it wasn’t for your intervention...that Force Choke could have spiraled into something worse. And I know he’s your friend, and fellow Salamander, and the Jedi don’t have many friends or members at the moment...”

He exhales warily, rubbing the corners of his eyes. “...I will be blunt. I will be doing his testing in the place of his master. Aure refuses to take another padawan so long as Kristen’s in the carbonite. I really still need to convince her...but, should he pass, that leaves three Jedi, you, him and I, ready to train the three padawans.”

“And what of the others?” you ask, shivering at the thought of the rest of them, “What will happen to them?”

“...I haven’t gotten that far yet. But given as we lack a Service Corps...” he shakes his head. “...I’d never consign them to that fate. We need more Jedi, now more than ever...”

“Can we not take more than one padawan?”

He shrugs. “I wouldn’t...now, at the least. Maybe at a later time once we’ve found some sanctuary, but at the moment...”

You leap at the opportunity. “What about Arotta?” He gives you an odd look, one that gets you to cough awkwardly before continuing. “Padawan Arotta? Apprentice to Master-General Uyer?”

His eyes widen in recognition at the mention of his friend, and a wide smile breaks out across his face. “They’re here? Why didn’t anybody tell me?” But perhaps he reads the mood or the look in your eyes. “Ah...they aren’t...” he shifts in his seat, coughing before he continues, “...where are they?”

You point towards the location of the Kakarit system. What hope you have at his understanding fates away as his disapproval spreads across his face.

“Clones...Separatists...and the two of them are caught in the crossfire...” he shakes his head. “I can’t condone this.”

“But why?!” you protest. At the flat look he gives you, you reign in your emotions and press on urgently, “It’s the same distance as Dandora! We need all the Jedi we can get. And the fact that her signal is still there-”

“Means you could be walking into a trap,” he finishes for you bluntly. “And even if it isn’t, it could have easily been dropped into a puddle. Two weeks and no signal? The could have tracked your signal back...although you’ve had the good sense not to contact her after leaving Nazira. Well done.”

At your scandalized look, he places a sympathetic hand upon your shoulders, and meets your challenging gaze with one of his own.

“Don’t think that even for a second that I didn’t know what the two of you were up to,” he whispers, and at your horrified look, he continues, “I have my ways, padawan. I never once tweaked Uyer’s lekku, and she’s been my friend for nearly thirty years...but I have to face reality that with she might be here anymore, especially with clones, separatist remnant, and hostile wildlife gunning after her. And that you should likewise do the same...”

Larid stands up, walking to the exit of your room as he leaves you there, stunned beyond belief. But he isn’t as cruel as leave you with that. Sighing, he says, “Friendships are fine, as well as liaisons. You and I both know that, especially the last part given our respective paths. But attachments are a dangerous thing...and the risk of bringing clones upon Mylar-3 is far too great to chance their survival.”

He pauses, taking a moment to cough and wet his throat with a glass of water. “...we’ll speak later once you’ve healed. May the Force be with you.”

And he leaves without another word.

God dammit, we should be trying to save the blueberry or at least reclaiming her lightsaber and any resources she has

...

...you arrange yourself within the lotus position, and begin to meditate. The thoughts of the world exit your mind as you reach out and feel the Force around you. You direct its power into your arm, and begin the process of purging the corruption from your body.

But as you do that, you think deeply about the future. Once you are healed, you will go on a great journey. You think about the words of your master and the promises he offers...and weigh it against the chance of seeing Arotta once more.

"...we still haven't evened out the win-loss ratio..."

A Jedi is not permitted to have attachments.

"...how'd we even start hating each other, pink-skin?"

There is only the Force...

"...stay safe, out there, you hear? It's a dangerous galaxy for all of us Jedi."

>>WARNING:

>Follow your master’s orders and journey to the shrouded planet Dandora to complete your training.
>Disobey your master’s instructions and journey to the jungle planet of Kakarit to rescue Arotta.

And now I sleep, and I look forward to the vote tomorrow.

Truth be told, I am not as interested in the rescue as I am in cutting a deal with the seperatists.
Politically speaking, we have no reason not to be allies.
>>
>>4023707
FUCK
I hate these choices
Part of me knows that she’s probably dead and it’d be better to finish our training, but on the other hand, we get our blueberry not!GF and maybe her master
Fuck It, we’re a terrible Jedi anyway

To be fair to the waifufags votes, Luke also ditched completing his training to save his friends. But we're not Luke.

>Follow your master’s orders and journey to the shrouded planet Dandora to complete your training.

If we were going to go after Arotta we would have at the start of Order 66 not now. Doing it now would throw away all we have already achieved.

Thanks for running so late Kaz.
>>
>>4023726
Wut, the logic then was that we had to take care of kids and we didnt want them in a warzone, now we have 2 jedi masters to look after them and an opportunity to go grab her.

The opportunity to go was straight after 66, now she's either dead, has escaped off planet or is in captivity in one of the most militarised sectors in the galaxy.

i think what this choice boils down to is wether we get a padawan or dat bluberry booty
>>
>>4023707
We could telling that we postpone our trials as risking one jedi to potentially get two jedi is a pragmatic choice and a worthwhile gamble.

Not be a edgy emotional teen, but a logical picture perfect jedi who has thought things through logically and unemotionally.
(the fact that it aligns with our preferences is purely coincidental.)
>>
>>4023743
I'm sorry but I only have three modes, edgelord, shekel hunter and droid friend.
>>
>>4023746
>>4023707
Do you want to risk potential clone pursuers to capture our aurium ingots?

best way to do it is to not be a edgelord and tell our master what we will do, and that we are going for the trials later.

This way he can take the proper security measures and coordinate our pickup should we have some unwanted companions regardless of our own missions outcome.

All these titles are meaningless now. Knight, master... Whatever. Acquire resources and allies. Wasting our time on Sith beasts... Meh

two weeks is a long time, and I'm not leaving the younglings out to dry.

If Arotta's alive, she's either long-term imprisoned, or already out on her own. We could maybe send another signal to bait Arotta and whoever's chasing her into a relatively out of the way Dandora.

But for the force sakes, if we DO go, leave a message to Larid. He deserves that much.

>Follow your master’s orders and journey to the shrouded planet Dandora to complete your training.

Also, With the planet now liberated, can we get our own ship? Like Torok has? Sounds like we're going to need it.

We must save our brodette
>>

Not really, considering we have no more accountability to the council and can focus all efforts on evasion and training.

We got two Masters here now.

Being sent off to complete some dumb ass training right after the fuckin' purge seems real stupidlike, when even the possibility of saving a friend/lover is there.
>>
>>4023763
It doesn't make for a very good look when one padawan senpai is two steps from falling and the "good" one just "abandoned" the jedi cause. And if they find the carbonite....

>>4023762
I meant Arotta's survival after two weeks.
>>
>>4023763
What if it *is* a trap, we manage to save blueberry or her master and they let us in order to follow us with a SIGINT ship?

Its possible. Master Larid would need to do vastly different things if we go to a former active war zone that might still be under surveillance or under blockade to help a ongoing jedi hunt compared to a primitive world that is infected by sith alchemy bioweapons and detrius.

I am not saying we should not do it, just to notify the masters so they are prepared should we come with a well wishing committee on our tails.
>>
>>4023707
>Disobey your master’s instructions and journey to the jungle planet of Kakarit to rescue Arotta.
So MC might stop whoring himself left and right
>>
>>4023772
Yeah, the Jedi are fucking gone.
>>
>>4023773
It'll take one week to get there and time doesn't flow backwards, we only get one shot at this and we can finish our training anytime. The Jedi Order has been obliterated, we don't have to do things on a strict timetable anymore, but this is a time-sensitive event. If there's any chance at this we need to take it now. Even if we fail we can just let go and complete our training like a gud boi padawan after. Not going is the dumb choice here.
>>
>>4023766
>>4023774
derp.
>>
>>4023779
>Even if we fail we can just let go and complete our training
I have doubts about how well we can confirm "failure" without getting a whole lot of everything chasing us.

Are we even getting a stealth ship for this?
>>
>>4023787
We could hire a smuggler.
>>
>>4023776
>go save one whore to stop whoring
Based 1-post retard.

>>4023787
Yeah, how ARE we getting to Dandora?
>>
>>4023787
Not sure about the ship, but we have been trained specifically for infiltration missions my man, if we're being told by our master that we're almost ready to complete our training and become a knight then it must mean that we have extensive experience with this sort of thing. Getting in wont be a real problem, but finding a way off planet might be a challenge, but this wont be easy even if we get a stealth ship.
>>
>>4023707
>Follow your master’s orders and journey to the shrouded planet Dandora to complete your training.
>>
>>4023787
>>4023791
As this guy said, we're trained to be a Jedi Shadow, so unless we go 'tard brain and just walk into their base of operations I feel like it'd be doable.

There's also the possibility of using the separatists in some way if they're still kickin'
>>
>>4023794
Yeah, we might be able to yoink one of their freighters if we do this, that would be a real boon.
>>
>>4023794
We can only use the Seppys if they've got a Super-tactical to negotiate with.
