Votes are counted until 25 minutes have passed. This rule doesn't apply to the last reply of the day.
Votes that require a dice roll are counted until 15 minutes have passed, so we can speed up the process. Rolls are counted until 10 minutes have passed, so be prepared!

(NEW) Dice Mechanic:

We always roll 1d100s!
Since most people weren’t happy with the system of averaging top four rolls, we’re using best of 2/3/4 depending on the attribute a prompt requires. If Johnny is a genius and it’s a Knowledge based roll, he gets more rolls (Max. 7)! If he sucks, he gets less dice (Min. 2)!

When asked for rolls, I will specify how many you’re going to get. Rolling begins after it’s asked.

Rolling 100 is a critical and ignores all other rolls! In the same vein, rolling 1 means a critical failure (only for Very Hard rolls and above).

The difficulty of the roll is tied with the effectiveness of the action. In other words, the harder the option the better the result!

Don’t forget that at the end of the day, this is a story-driven quest! What the prompts are describing is more important than the difficulty of the rolls, for results in a fight.

Again, rolls are only counted when they are posted within ten minutes of being asked, so watch out!

“Get off me! Get off me!” Giorsal is walking backward and away from your debilitated body! She tries to grab the fat cat away, but it’s like her hands dive into his fatness and can’t get off – rendering her efforts useless! Bradford Jr. won’t let her go that easily!

“Bradford Jr... Stop.” Your throat feels dry, talking is actually hurting you.
“Meow…?” Bradford Jr. appears confused, how you can tell confusion on a fat cat’s face is beyond your understanding right now.

“Giorsal, please listen to me. Don’t do anything rash, I’m not planning on hurting you as you can see.” You start reasoning with her again using the same arguments as before.
“Huh…?” She puts her cloak away, looks like she forgot what was happening. “Oh… Uhm… I can not trust you in any shape or form, in the distant frontier we would’ve talked with no time constraints, but if you wish otherwise… You have a minute to explain why you are helping the people who want to take my life.” Giorsal is finally acting the part and is expecting a serious answer.

You think you can move now that you have regained some strength, running is out of the question though and as for turning invisible… That could fail.

“Yeah, volleyball head.” You smile despite wearing a mask that’s smiling.

Giorsal walks back and forth for a couple of seconds, touching her wounds every now and then… She makes her decision!

“This is perplexing… I don’t understand your motivations here. Why would you ally with them if you were enemies not more than a week ago?” Giorsal’s head can’t make sense of this. “I shouldn’t trust you, there is something you’re hiding.”

“I’ve been telling you the truth the whole time!” You protest. “Look, there is something more important we have to talk about!”
“Truth? Yeah, right! I don’t have a big butt…” Giorsal blushes as she looks away. “I regret to inform you that my resolution is final in regards to the other two. He’s a pretty loud guy, so despite not shouting you two can hear him perfectly. “Or better yet, take him out and show where your loyalty lies.” Foroutan smirks with said proposition.

“Chancellor Foroutan…? What are you doing here?” Giorsal is displeased with the bald man’s presence.
“We can talk later, just get rid of the kid.” He does a thumbs down! Who does that?!

It's honestly revolting.” You look her dead in the eye with as much seriousness as possible, you’re uniquely telling her the truth. You try to stay on guard but you don’t know how much you can do in this state. Giorsal locks eyes with you, doubt clouding her face – but then a spark appears in her eyes.
“Chancellor. What do you have to say? Is there any merit to this… uhm…” Giorsal starts blushing. “…Sex Slave Operation?”

“If I say yes, why would it matter? Girl, did you forget who we are and what we want?” Foroutan looks extremely pissed now. “Or are you telling me I was right about you all along? Take the kid out and prove me wrong.”
“Uhm… I…” Giorsal is starting to doubt. “I don’t have anything to prove to you.” Giorsal is not up for mass destruction and slavery! Hooray! Or at least you think so…

“Wrong answer.” Foroutan shakes his head and begins his attack.
“Giorsal, below you!” Since you were paying attention you noticed the ground moving. It’s the giant mole entity!

Giorsal bring her entity out and drags her away as the concrete below shatters and the bald man’s entity arises. Ethempress is holding Giorsal’s arms and is flying a few meters away from ground, out of reach of the beast.

“Well, this makes it easier! Hee-Hee!” Ethempress smiles as she drops Giorsal safely away and dives onto the beast. She shoves her parasol inside the mole’s head.
“Gah, WhAT thE FuCK?! You… BITCH…!” Foroutan collapses! His mole flame starts evaporating as it slowly reverts to flame form! He’s now unconscious again!

“Aha…” Giorsal cleans up her skirt as she runs towards the bald man. “Now what am I going to do…?” She looks perplexed as she starts playing with Foroutan’s flame.
“…Could you explain to me what’s going on?” You walk towards the taxi to have some healthy distance from them. Sadly for you, she starts dragging the cultist’s body towards the taxi as well.

“I can’t disclose that information with you, I’m sorry!” Giorsal puts Foroutan in the trunk of the car. Then she gets inside the driver’s seat and starts the taxi! She knows how to drive?! Why does this surprise you…?
“W-Wait! You can’t just leave like that!” You can’t let her go just like that! She still has B-WORM and Dudley!

And so Giorsal left in the taxi with B-WORM, Dudley, Valdemar Bruun and Foroutan to who knows where. You hope for the best for the first two and hell for the last two. Now you’re wondering is Foroutan his first or last name? Doesn’t sound like a first name, but who knows? You know a guy named Jeff Jefferson, people in this country don’t know how to name their children – your mom being the only exception so far.

Talking about moms and children reminds you of something… What happened to Holly and Xavi? Are they fine? Is the brainwashing still in effect? You need to deal with that right now…

Fuck, you’re stumbling around a bit, the adrenaline rush is all gone and your body has hit its limits. There is an office building with some steps in its entrance, you sit on them as you pull out your phone to make a call to Xavi to know what ended up happening with him and the truck. Bradford Jr. follows you and sits next to you. The call reaches its destination…

“Y-Yes? Is that you…?” That’s Xavi’s voice! Hooray!
“Yeah, how are you faring so far?” You are relieved to hear his voice.

“Well, I’m at Super Foods eating a cheap hot dog. The truck is outside, I was waiting for your call and all.” You hear Xavi eating a piece of his meal. "How it all go?"
"I'm clear. How long has it been since we split?” You wonder.

“Nice job! And almost an hour. Noooow it’s an hour, nice timing as well! By the way, I’m totally clueless about what to do next.” You hear Xavi drink some coffee. How do you know its coffee? You tell Xavi to drive the truck to the New Calamity Clinic! You’ll figure out something there. He has no idea where this place is, so you told him the address – sadly, this guy is too cheap to have phone coverage, so you had to give him instructions… Good thing the place is nearby. You need to get there somehow…

Now, you need to inform the good old doctor about the huge problem you’re leaving him with at his doorsteps! Dr. Calamity is an understanding man, so you don’t expect him to ignore you. You turn your voice modifier off and make the call. After saying hi to each other, you quickly turn the conversation where it needs to go – you explain with enough detail the issue you’re dealing with.

Dr. Calamity was as deeply concerned as you expected, maybe a little bit more. Either way, he’s going to prepare his staff for the upcoming problem – and wonders if there is something they can do or if they should request your favorite mummy’s help. You have no idea what kind of brainwashing process works but you can not discard flame shenanigans, despite that you implore him to try every method they can to solve this. Dr. Calamity has to tell you there is no usual protocol for brainwashing, so he’ll do what he can. With concern plaguing his voice, the call ends and your concern doesn’t halt – not even his trademark laugh made you relax a little bit.

Now you need to call your only team member who knows about your whereabouts! You really don’t want to worry her in the slightest, but just by looking at the time – she is most likely having some trouble coping with this. The initial conversation went as expected, and now that’s she knows what’s up, she’s coming over to go for you just to make sure you’re fine. You didn’t have the strength to argue or know if it’s necessary, point is you expect to meet a couple of streets away from the workshop just for safety. You and Bradford Jr. make your way to the meeting point, he’s walking along side you for some reason, was he on a mission? Or was him having fun nearby and it was good timing? You won’t know any time soon.

Scarlet arrives in a hurry, as soon as she sees the state you’re in – she calls for a taxi for you two ride to the clinic. You must be looking real rough if she didn’t even hesitate, which makes you wonder if you’re in any shape to do anything at this point. You’ll pull through for now, nothing exhausting should be happening, right? At least you got some food and a drink from Scarlet, so you’re feeling a little bit better already.

Oh, and she seems to have taken a liking to Bradford Jr.! She’s now carrying the fat cat around, more like struggling to carry him around.

You’re now at the New Calamity Clinic! You spot the truck at the other side of the street of the clinic. Xavi arrived already? Good for him!

Despite not having much of a problem potentially exposing Xavi to the others, Scarlet is another topic altogether.

The clinic is looking as busy as when you returned after Judgment Day, a lot of people are moving around but it feels well organized. You go to the counter and tell them you’re visiting Constance, the receptionist at this point knows you well enough to let you go through without issues. One part of you wanted to meet up with one of the Calamities. Is it Calamitys or Calamities? Technically it should be Calamitys, right? That’s how names work, no?

“Talking to your buddy? ‘Philonune’ was it?” Scarlet wonders as she notices you contemplating nothing.
“Ehm… No? I’m just thinking about something stupid.” You shake your head. You shouldn’t be thinking about random stuff now.

“It didn’t look like it.” Scarlet feels skeptical about what you just said. “You look like you’re trying not to think about something.”
“That might be it.” Maybe she has a point, or maybe not. You think about random shit all the time.

Outside the room, you have a long and deserved yawn. Scarlet looks a little bit more worried than a moment before.

“I don’t know why I worry so much, we’re in a clinic if anything happens to you.” Scarlet smiles to hide her concern. “And you’re completely right, two minds work better than one!”

“Imagine what four minds could do. We need to gather Xavi and Dr. Calamity and check on the woman I told you about, if we can’t snap her out of her hypnosis – then there isn’t much we can do.” You know what to do, it’s time to just do it.
“Where do we go, then?” Scarlet wonders.
“I’ve no idea.” You cleverly inform.

“Let’s go to the reception and ask. That’s what they do, right?” Scarlet tilts her head. Is she joking or does she have no idea?


Despite your confusion, she goes ahead with her own idea and the two of you leave to the reception. Unsurprisingly, they had no idea where their boss is or who Xavi is, you tried to describe him – but the man in charge just shakes his head. His shift just started so he has no idea what’s going on in general. Great.

But the bad news barrage ends when Nurse Calamity surprises you by tapping your shoulder, she smiles upon seeing you.

“Hey there, handsome. Quite a situation you left us today.” Nurse Calamity is as chill as ever.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know what to do. I still don’t.” Brainwashing is way out of your league.

“I’m just kidding! We get a great amount of funding the more patients we get!” Kata giggles. “By the way, who’s the cute little missy standing next to you?” Kata stares at Scarlet. Oh right, they don’t know each other.
“I’m Scarlet. Nice to meet you.” Scarlet doesn’t wait for you to introduce her.

Well you didn’t know what to expect, but you are back at the bunker! Kata explained almost all the rooms upstairs are occupied, so her uncle thought it was a good idea to use this place for something else than just, well, a bunker! It’s a strange feeling seeing these corridors with people running around than a deserted maze, but you welcome the change. You arrive to one of the biggest rooms inside here, the one you used to sleep in the day before Judgment Day. A bunch of beds are arranged next to each other, and in each one there is a girl being checked by some of the doctors, none of them seem to be reacting to anything they are doing to them. Some girls are being taken out of the place on wheelchairs, something Philonune believes to be quite dangerous.

It would be an understatement to say Scarlet looks uncomfortable, but it’s something worth noting. Almost at the end of the room do you find the people you were looking for! Dr. Calamity is checking on one of the girls while Xavi is being interrogated by none other than the brotherless ace defective himself, Richard Wright… What is he doing here…?

“They still at it?” Kata shakes her head upon seeing Richard going at it.
“Johnny. It’s nice to see you again.” Dr. Calamity turns his attention away from the random girl to say hi to you! “Oho! And Scarlet as well.”
“How are things going in here?” Scarlet meekly wonders as she looks at the “slaves” around her.

“I’m not optimistic. We managed to identify most of them and contact their families, we hope that can help somehow.” Dr. Calamity gives you the bad news… “I’m hoping there is something we can still do… But I wonder what that can be.”

Things aren’t looking great. But maybe there is something you can do!

“I do not, hence why I’m working on her. The people remaining here are the ones we haven’t been able to contact their relatives. The others are being brought out to the other rooms so they can stay with their families, of course, some of them are taking them out of the clinic. If we find a cure we’ll be able to contact them later. And if we can’t do anything soon with the ones we still have here– we’ll send them to a psychiatric ward to another hospital. We’re not capacitated here for this scale of patients of this type.” Dr. Calamity goes in depth with their own problems.

“Maybe we should ask Constance about it? If it’s magic related, she will know how to counter it, right?” Scarlet makes a nice proposition. Still, you haven’t tried anything yet yourself.
