The Holy Grail War has started, and our Fearless Saint has decided to fight in it! With the blade of Saint George on her side, the two will now face the trials and tribulations of such a conflict. Now the two will face Heretics, fellow Saints, and even Demons to achieve their wish of learning God’s Fate!

Journal Entry XIII
I have recently arrived in the city of Fuyuki, a place in Japan where the Holy Grail War is to take place. Such a momentous tournament is taking place, and by my side is none other than the Dragon Slaying Saint Georgios at my side. To think that the man who forged my name sake came to aid me in this trial, it still shakes my very core.

The man seems to have an enjoyment of life, though his features leave him stoic. Just from walking around the city today he grew a small smile that could not be removed. He seems to have started enjoying the gift he received from Taiga, a small camera that rests upon his neck.

Oh, that reminds me! I met a pair of people, their names being Taiga and the other Sakura. Taiga seems to be a very outgoing girl who loves to talk, though she is very kind. Much the opposite is Sakura, though it simply just seems hard for the girl to express emotions than anything else.

Though now I must fight in the War. I can feel it in my soul, the first battle will come soon. I just hope we are not in the middle of such a fight.

Choose one of the Ability Scores and they will be raised by +5

Asia has gained 400 xp from the previous events. What should she invest points into?

Lastly, you have 4 units to either increase HP by 1 or Mana by 10.

Skill to be purchased:

All below this cost 100 xp:
>Barter Skill +10
>Deceive Skill
>Blather Skill
>Smithing (Novice)
>Alchemist (Novice)
>Acquire a new spell (Chosen from Skyrim)
>Medicae +20

Cost of 200 xp:
>Magic Proficiency Increase: Asia becomes more skilled in a magic school, halving the mana cost as well as learning a new spell of that rank.
>Othopoxy: Gives a +20 to resist torture.
>Divine Ministration: Upon healing someone else, the one healed gains Double Asia’s Wisdom Mod as bonus. If this puts them over, they receive it as temp hitpoints. This effect however does not stack.
>Frenzy: When Declared, grants +10 to Weapon Skill, Strength, and Constitution Test. However they receive a -20 to Ballistics and Intelligence Test as well as being forced to attack the nearest enemy.

Cost of 300 xp:
>Knowledge (General Magecraft): Helps in identifying spells, not casting them.
>>
>>3996085
>2 units to HP and 2 to Mana
I'll leave the EXP buying for other anons.
>>
I'll be writing the Thread now, though you guys can still submit stat upgrades.

>raise intelligence and wisdom by +5
The grail war can't be won by power alone. We will need to stay with our minds sharp if we want to win

>2 units to HP and 2 to Mana
While i'm not much worried about hp now that we have Avalon, we have been taking some big hits lately, so i agree on diving the units equally

>Knowledge (General Magecraft): Helps in identifying spells, not casting them.
Knowing what our enemies can do is a big advantage for us

>Deceive Skill
This is a must in the grail war.

I watched from the sidewalk as vehicles went by me with moderate speed. The night was lit by the partly waning moon, to the point that everything was still visible with it. Of course it was not the worst state of night I have fought in, that would have gone to the very first vampires I had slain. Such a night will serve us well.

“So we will be investigating these Docks first?” Georgios said as his robes fluttered in the open wind.

“It will have the least amount of people, so it will be the safest for others.” I said as we left the sidewalk.

“Indeed, people will not wander into the land of water and metal without reasonable amount of light.”

I looked towards the Saint who’s robes fluttered in the air, “Are you ready for battle.”

“It has indeed been a while since I have served my Lord in such a capacity.” The Servant said as his robes transformed into plate armor, “Though I do not believe it has rusted my skills.”

I grew a small smile as I heard his words, “Then I will put my faith in you.”

With that we made our way onto the docks themselves, the sight of piles of metal containers daunting to say the least. As we traveled forward, I could feel something.

Just like Georgios and the odd girl from earlier today, it was the feeling of a Servant.

“Oh ho ho! A challenger approaches the gauntlet of Hell!” A women’s voice came from over the metal boxes, “Come, move forward to face me!”

“You will not need to force yourself.” Georgios said as he started taking steps towards the voice, “But is seems a challenger is calling for me.”

I took a moment to look around, the rooftops of warehouses and even a crane easy places for me to climb up. Though it means I will not be immediately near the Saint if either of us need help.

“Then I will join you.” I said with a small smile, “It would be a dishonor to our title if I left you to face the enemy on your own.”

“Then you have my respect.”

With a nod to each other, we made our way towards the woman who kept calling out obsidities. As we got closer, I could have sworn that the docks were starting to warm up. It was odd though, for it was a cold late summer night.

“Oh ho ho! You have finally come before me!” We emerged into an open lane between the freight. Standing before us was a girl who was dressed in a red cloak that seemed to flutter in the wind. Though her smile was quite unnerving.

“Indeed, thou has called for a challenger and I have come to face you.” The Rider Servant called out.

“And I appreciate it.” She gave a short chuckle, “Should I be honored to face someone like you?”

“It depends.” Georgios’s blade materialized in his hand, “If you are of Christendom, I would say it is an honor. If you are a Pagan or Heretic, then Honor is far from both our minds.”

“Welp, guess I fall under the Heretic and Pagan category. Does that mean I’m double trouble making it double?”

“Then it only means I have no qualms for our fight.” Saint Georgios brought his sword to bear against the enemy Servant, “Under my Master Asia Argento, I Rider will bring about your Demise.”

“So that who is behind you.” Dark red eyes moved to meet my own, “You know, maybe I should respect Christians more. You guys got a helluva lot more guts than the other bastard. As for myself, I’m Archer.”

With a snap of her fingers a pair of muskets materialized from behind her, a pair of bullets quickly fired from them. Neither of them landed as Georgios quite literally zoomed across the battlefield. Within moments he had engaged Archer in close combat, his first strike easily tearing into the other’s left leg.

“Ha! Well ain’t this exciting!” Archer cheered as she quickly brought out a sword of her own, “Of course a Rider would rush me! Well then, FIRE!”

With her cheer as a larger set of firearms came out from behind her, making her weapon count go up to six separate firearms. Though with their sheer number, she did not have any chance to actually aim the firearms. It was actually shameful to be honest.

Taking the chance that presented itself the Saint quickly went for a strike at her sternum, but the Archer quickly blocked the attack with her sword. While it would have normally been a deadlock however, Saint Georges quickly sidestepped her sword and struck with an attack at her exposed arm. Such an attack rendered through her arm like it was paper.

With that moment all the firearms from behind the Demon quickly turned and fired upon the spot that Georgios was standing, but the Servant was able to disengage quicker than her guns could fire.

“Oh my, you’re tearing me apart~” She quickly ran a hand over the massive gash on her arm, liking the blood before growing a smile, “If we continue this, I might need to commit a tactical retreat.”

“Indeed, though I feel thou are taking myself easily.” I noticed the small scow on Georgios’s face, “And those bullets, they are capable of slaying the Divine are they not.”

“Oh, all my Priests are getting out the bag~” She swiped into the air and brought out another set of firearms, “Well bois, FIRE!”

This time the bullets finally ran right towards Georgios many of them smashed through his armor with frightening efficiency now. Though they did this, none of them seemed to have drawn blood as the two were once more engaged in melee combat!

As they did this I looked around for a moment, if summoned up my Soul to exhume power, ”Laas Yah Nir.”

As always, the world become bear to my vision. Though as I looked around I could not see the aura of a priest, I saw something else, and soon I heard another.

It was a sort of distorted voice that was being sent through the speaker system of the docks, “Attention Servants who are still looking for the battle, take a right down that alley way. I said take a right. Yes that is the direction the battle is taking place is at.”

It sounded like they were a ways off, and I am unable to see where they really are. Still, I know where the enemy might be.

As the battle before me unfolded I opened the mental link between me and Georgios, ’Something is happening nearby, I am going to go check it out.’

’Do whatever you need to do’

With that I started to make my way away from the battle as Georgios was able to get a strike on the other Servant’s torso. With a confidence in my Servant I quickly made my way into the buildings of steel.

“Are you brain dead or something?” The voice came over the speaker in irritation, “You would have been at the battle by now if you just listen to me!”

“Oh, and what if we really don’t~” A small laugh came from a nearby area, “I bet you would be just as tasty as any Servant if I found you!”

“Yeah, you get him Berserker!” The voice of a small child called out, “He’s probably here on the docks if he can use the speaker!”

“Well I would agree with you, Mahstah, if some new meat wasn’t coming to us!”

I could only click my tongue as I emerged from an aisle to see the pair from earlier standing next to a post. This time however the yellow haired one had demonic horns clearly jetting out from her forehead, the little girl wrapped in a purple garb.

“Hello there Miss, are you lost?” the little girl soon made steps towards me, her regal manner evident, “Hmm… I can feel magical power coming off of you, are you by chance a Master?”

“Oh, a puny human?” the Demon announced with a bit of glee, “I really want to eat her, can I?”

“Not now Berserker.” The fairy like girl said with a smile, “She came out here searching for us, I am sure. We should at least hear what she has to say before you devour her whole.”

“Tsk, you’re no fun Mastah.”

“There there, this is a common courtesy that was driven into my very being at the young age of eight. Can you really blame me?”

I looked over towards them, a smirk about the Servant’s face. It was a telling one that more or less meant that I will not be getting anything out of her. So instead I turned toward the Master, the White haired girl, “I ask that you do not interrupt Rider’s battle with Archer.”

“Oh, so is that the reason you came before me?” The little girl said with a small smirk.

I gave a slight nod, “That is my aim, though I was more curious about the speaker phone to be honest.”

“Well, it seems your curiosity got the better of you~. You are now a Master without a Servant by your side, ripe picking for those who do have them.” She turned towards the Banana, “You can do whatever you want Berserker.”

The Demon went forward towards me, materializing a massive weapon in her hand. It was closest to that of a meat cleaver, the bone it was made of emanating an aura of anger and resentment. It was to my own luck however that she did not expect me to bring out a sword of my own, Excalibur easily matching up with Berserker’s Meat Cleaver.

With a clinking of metal both our weapons were forced onto each other, if only for a moment. Taking a chance that would not probably come again, I quickly brought my weapon to the side to try and carry her weapon with it. It unlucky of me though as the Demon was still able to keep a hold of her blade as I batted the weapon off to the side.

Since I saw an opening though, I quickly brought my weapon back and scored a hit on her arm.

With that we broke apart, a frown now showing on the Demon’s face, “Huh, you have a lot more fang than I should be giving ya. Pity, you looked delicious.”

“You cannot easily defeat a Saint blessed by God, Berserker.” I said as my soul screamed to face her down.

“Blessed by the Gods!” Her eyes seemed to sharpen to a narrow point upon me, “Now you’re talking about something I can’t stand! I will tear your pretty little skull from your spine and show it off to the damn Jade Emperor!”

And her voice roared, fire quickly spreading across the asphalt. I quickly jumped backwards, sending myself away from the erupting ball of fire. In the next moment she was right up next to me, Cleaver sailing over my head.

Once more I struck at her sword, but again it did not leave her hand. Though I quickly brought Excalibur around and struck her shoulder.

“Then fall in the name of the lord!”

With that I pierced her shoulder, the sound of flesh being cut ringing in my ears. I noticed however that unlike the Devils, there was no sound of flesh being burnt. Was the one before me not a true Demon!?

“Is that the best your God’s got!”

With that she brought the weapon about again, forcing me to deflect the first attack. But after that I was wide open for an attack, the I felt the cursed blade scrape my bosom.

Asia has received 12 damage, placing her at 28 wounds.

With that injury I quickly transformed Excalibur into a Shotgun and fired the attack right at her chest. All but one pelt bounced off her skin, the one remainder creating a long line of blood behind her.

With that we disengaged from one another. Both of us having blood running down our bodies, though it was easy to tell I was suffering more as my entire left breast was exposed and dripping with blood.

Of all the things I know, it is obvious that if we continue this fight I will be at a massive disadvantage. It seemed the creature before me has realized it as well as she swung her blade to scatter my blood.

“Go Berserker Go!”

I quickly turned to the side to see the little girl cheering on for my death. The smile on her face was somehow an innocent one, yet this girl was the Master to a Demon of such caliber. It put a bad taste in my mouth.

And what I just thought of only told me why.

Before Berserker could go in to engage me once again, I quickly turned towards the cheering girl. I made a prayer to the Lord, but the girl must know what happens when she joins this game.

“FUS RO DAH!”

“Go Ber- kyaa!” With a flutter of her feet the Girl dodged to the side, avoiding the massive wave of force that went her way. For the moment though I watched as Berserker had turned her face towards the girl, so I quickly took steps to get away from them!

“What the- Damn it!” A roar of anger came from behind me as the sounds of fire once more erupted, “Don’t you dare run away from me, for I will eat your heart!”

She yelled that as I made my way towards the sounds of gunfire, the heat coming ever closer as I did so. By the Lord this trail felt a lot shorter when I snuck my way over earlier!

The only warnings I had was the whistling of fire that told me to duck. The next moment the container in front of me was hit with a massive fireball that nearly consumed the structure. Taking the notice I took a hard right into another aisle of metal.

“Tsk, don’t think you can get away from me! For I am an ONI!

The sound of broken bone soon entered my ears, causing me to quickly look back towards where I last knew the Berserker to be. Where should have been nothing was a giant sized Demon, fire erupting from her body as she searched the area for me.

So she is an Oni, a Yokai from Japan proper. Not a true Demon like Devils, but a creature much more akin to Shirone’s species of Nekoshou. They are monstrous beings who love tribute and plunder!

I kept on my feet, not even bothering to hide from the monster as her eyes searched around the place. It did not take her long to voice her achievement, “Ah, found you!”

I felt the air around me shift, and so I quickly looked up to see the cleaver coming down towards myself. All I could do was reach into my very soul and give myself speed!

”Wuld Nah Kest!”

Within a moment my world zoomed by me, my body crossing acros the aisle and very much clearing the Oni’s attack. The impact of her cleaver shook the ground a small bit, but just as soon a connection just clicked in my mind.

‘Asia, we need to regroup. I managed to injure Archer, but she has taken the opportunity to flee as this giantess appeared. Where are thou?’

I shook my head as the Oni turned towards my new location, ‘North Side!’

‘Understood’

“It’s not that fun when you keep on running away!”

I clicked my tongue as I continued my way towards where I felt Saint Georgio was, the world became hot again as I turned to see another fireball sailing towards me. I quickly dashed for a space between container, and soon the entire alley I was running in was completely consumed by fire.

And with that another quake shook the land, though this time it was not from the destruction of the docking yard.

“Come on already, I want to eat something really soon! So can you just die so Mastah feeds me!”

As she complained I had already covered two blocks of freight, and within my vision was Saint Georgios riding a white horse. The man reached towards me and within second I was on the Horse’s back.

“Thou is lucky to have survived a tangle with such a large beast.” The Knight said as he brought the horse about, “Does it even have a Master?”

“It does, a small girl with snow white hair and red eyes.” I said while gripping onto the Saint’s armor, “Though I have lost track of where she is.”

“Worrisome.” He said while the two of us faced the giant, “Archer and the Giantess are not the only ones here. I can feel three more coming our direction now because of her.”

“So we should retreat?”

“It depends on whether the others are willing to fight with us against such a beast. As no Master has used a Command Seal yet, it would definitely be a gruesome battle, one that I can not guarantee your safety in.”

I looked up towards the Oni as she turned towards us, soon growing a smile upon her face.

“We will fight.” I brought Excalishot up, “I believe the Lord will bless us with allies to fight this beast.”

“Very well, I will make sure thou’s fate is not misplaced! Come Bayard, to battle!” With a snap of his reigns the horse went into motion, quickly making his way towards the massive being that was Berserker.

As we ran I willed a small force in my hand, a quickly flick of it summoned forth a golden wolf from the Heavens. The Familiar soon matched speeds with Bayard in the charge. As this happened, I called upon my very soul to act as armor in tha coming battle!

“Mul Qah Diiv!”

Golden phantasmal armor soon covered my entire being, my strength growing to three fold. I soon opened up my wings, my desire of flight quickly allowing me to take flight into the air proper!

“Oh, I wonder how I love the taste of crisp horse!” And with that the Oni sent out a wave of fires that consumed Rider whole. However, the Servant soon emerged from the flames with only a few burns upon his flesh.

“Deus lo Vult!” Cried Georgios as he brought his sword towards the Gaint’s leg, but the Oni quickly took a step backwards, somehow avoiding the strike entirely.

Though that meant she was distracted, and I soon fired my shotgun at her. The blessed shots landing directly into the Servant’s flesh to wreck havoc. Only a couple pierced, but atleast they landed.

“Damn fly!” She roared as the Servant took a giant swing towards me. I narrowly avoided the swing of her enlarged cleaver, the weapon destroying more terrain as it impacted the freight. I was not able, however, to dodge the back hand I soon received from her.

“Damn, what are you, a beetle!” She cried out as my Soul obsorbed all the damage. With the chance opening itself to me I quickly brought my shotgun to bear and fired. She tried to bring up her sword to block it, but the pellets still slammed themselves into her form.

As I did that, the sounds of flesh being sliced soon came into my ears as Saint Georgios was quite literally riding up her leg. A massive wound was wreathed upon her, the horse somehow jumping off of it and onto one of the metal containers.

”Guh, just die alread- ILLYA!!!” The beast quickly turned her back towards us as a massive torrent of fire erupted from her. As it happened words soon rang in the air as if it was gospel.

“Here's the work of the Lord!”
“My flag, defend our brethrens!"
“Luminosité Eternelle”

A golden shield soon appeared where the fires were sent, but the angle was slightly off. It seemed targeted towards individual entirely. Whoever was being defended with the Noble Phantasm was not the initial target.

Including all that though, I almost instinctively knew who’s phantasm that was. It was a Saint’s, one who fought for her Nation with such a battlecry.

With the beast distracted we could not lose this chance, my soul burning with power as I opened my mouth.

“FUS RO DAH!”

With a roar my voice was carried across the battlefield, quickly sweeping up onto the Oni as her back was turned. With that she was quite literally sent upwards into the air. Within moments she fell down on top of the freight below with an epic crash right where she was previously breathing fire upon.

Taking the chance that presented itself, Georgios quickly galloped from behind on top the laid beast, striking her without issue. Soon enough two massive scars were marked across her back with ease.

“I have had enough of this!” The Oni cried as she quickly rose from her place. A great many things that looked like splinters soon grew out of her body as Georgios flew off the Gaintess, “I'll show you a true Oni's power! You creatures starve me, and you forced me out of my homes. Now you attack my friend! Great Grudge of Rashoumoni!!”

She quickly brought her left hand out towards Georgios, and it left her arm! I knew Georgios was fast, especially with his horse now, but he could not avoid the hand as it quite literally grabbed the Saint and went flying into the air.

With him in its grip, the fist quickly towards myself and flew. The Noble Phantasm quickly slammed into me, and the pain I experienced as my bones were being crushed was excruciating.

Asia has received 12 Damage, placing her at 16 Wounds.

As the pain went away I soon realized that I was not floating in the air by my free will. I was being carried along the sky as the fist turned around and went in the other direction. No longer was there a Giantess standing but a massive crater of debris.

I did not have enough time to realise what in the Lord’s name was happening or where the Oni had gone. Instead I was raising my eyes to match that of a regally dressed man with a spear in his hands. If this continues, the fist is going to ram us all together!

>How do you wanna get out of it?
>>
>>3998252
If georgios use his noble phantasm now, would it affect the fist? If the answer is yes, we could use dragonrend on it to free ourselfs. Then we use our wings to survive the fall by flying, and georgios can go into spirit mode if the fall is to big for him

As we quickly closed in, I racked my brain trying to figure out how in the name of the Lord were we going to get out of this. Within the moment though, an idea popped inside my head. Would it work, I do not know, but at least it was something to avoid the collision!

‘Georgios, use your Phantasm on this hand!’

Within the next moment I felt a drain upon my reserves, and the feeling of the hand started to go weird. The surface soon turned into a tar like substance, my body slowly sinking into it as the partial head of a Dragon came out. Though it did not seem to be complete, and within moments the tar started to recede back into the fist to reform what it was before.

I was already devoted to this however, so I roared into it!

“Joor Zah Frul!”

The sheer force of the shout, along with the goop not having much grip on me sent me flying off the side. My ghostly wings quickly extended out and stopped me from flying into oblivion, giving me a wide view of what was occuring.

Slowly Georgios had opened the grip of the hand, the fingers slowly giving to his immense strength. It was not fast enough though, as the fist soon rammed into the other Servant.

With the force of the impact however, Rider was sent flying out of the grip while the other Servant was smashed into a container.

“Georgios are you okay!” I shouted at the top of my lungs.

“I am!” He shouted as the Servant rose from the rubble with only a few major burns upon his body. It did not look to be anything critical however.

Soon enough the hand shrank, quickly flying in a direction leading to the city. The Servant who had been slammed into slowly rose, though he looked to be much more injured by the entire ordeal than Georgios. He rose slowly, getting himself in a defensive stance.

Though now that I think about it, I do not see anyone else here. The two other Servant, Joan d’ Arc and the unknown other are missing.

“You, mister.” I called out to the Servant who was now getting up, “Can you help us chase them?”

“You still want to chase them after what they put you through?” The man said with furrowed brows, “I wish I had soldiers like you when I was alive. We should move now.”

“Agreed.” Georgios called out as he started to run, “Thou shall need to keep up.”

We all quickly went after the hand, the thing going through the air like a ghostly missile. As we traveled, I got a good view of the docks. While most was untouch, a fourth of the entire place was crushed or melted thanks to the fights with Berserker. I do not know how we are going to cover this up.

Within a moment I watched as the hand stopped moving forward for a moment, instead grabbing onto a sewer cap that was randomly there. With a swift action, it quickly flew into the sewers and threw the cap back to where it was supposed to be.

The first to get there was the other Servant, who quickly struck the cap and flung it to the side. He jumped down there.

After that both myself and Georgios arrived, but before we could do anything the Servant arose from the sewers with his head shaking, “It seems she is proficient in fleeing, I have lost track of her hand.”

“So we lost her…” I said before collapsing on the asphalt, “So much work, just for that.”

“Thou should not worry, tis only the first night.” Georgios said with a monotone expression, “Though we have learned her true name.”

“Ibaraki-Douji of Mount Ibuki.” The unnamed Servant said, “It will take multiple Servants to take her down, as even my Phantasm was unable to injure her. For the fleeing, she has gotten away from the false Gods.”

“And who are you?” I asked.

“I shames me to keep my identity secret, but it will be Lancer.” He said with authority, “It has been a late night, and I am injured. So I hope we can agree to a Cease-Fire for tonight, or are you blood hungry?”

“No, I have fought enough today myself.” I slowly touched the wounds that were inflicted by the Oni, “Though with the threat of the Great Oni, I want to make an alliance with you Lancer.”

“An Alliance?” His voice and eyes seemed to be studying me for a moment, “You desire such a thing only after a few moments of knowing me, why do you think such a thing is a good idea?”

I thought that to myself for a moment as he said that, “You helped us fight Ibaraki, both in chase and by proxy. If you are willing to help me then you must have good will then.”

I felt his eyes sharpen upon me for a moment, “But what if I told you I was aiming to kill a Child just because she was a Master. I did not know she was Master to the Demon right then, only that she was alone. What would you say then?”

I felt my heart skip there for a moment as I heard those words, the thoughts running through my head. I myself had endangered her as well, and she was clearly enabling the Oni’s habits. But he….

“Thou can stop interigating my Master.” Georgios called out as he started moving forward, “While I disprove of such methods without general cause, we are at War. While I myself would have taken the girl for ransom; to each their own.”

“As expected of a Servant from ages old,” The Lancer studied the Saint for a moment more and then myself, “Tomorrow night we shall meet together and hunt the Beast. I would be honored to have a member of the Roman Catholic Church join in this, though I cannot say much else about my Master.”

“Where is he?”

“He is currently hiding inside a building overlooking this land, calling to me not to make such a deal with you.” The Servant grew a rather nasty smile, “He should know his place, him and the rest of his kind. Does the large metal bridge sound like a good place to meet?”

“I does.” I said with a solemn nod.

“Then I will meet you two there, without my Master getting in my way. If worst comes to worst, I will simply not be there.” He said with a mocking smile before disappearing into nothingness.

“Well than Asia, we should make our way back.”

“Agreed, and maybe I should send draft an apology letter to Micheal for all this destruction.”

“He is an understanding sort.” Georgios said with a smile.

With that, we made our way back to the ruined manor.

Morning came, and everyone else was ready for a meal. I continued stirring the small pot that I requisitioned as a mixing bowl, the batter not coming out how I wanted. Maybe it was the change of location, or the admittedly lower quality equipment, but I just could not get it right.

“Oop!” was all I could cry out as the pan soon flew out of my hand, though before it could hit the ground a hand reached out and grabbed it.

“Nice catch there Rider.” Called out Taiga, who carried through with that promise of coming for dinner, “You okay there Asia? Did you stay up late last night!”

I gave a slight nod, “Yeah, maybe I should not have worked on my book. Rider, can you take care of breakfast, I am still waking up I guess.”

“I will.”

I handed off the batter to the Saint, slowly taking a seat next to Sakura. The girl was simply looking out into space, though she turned to face me with a monotone face. Her face went to something I could not really read until she spoke, “What will you be doing today?”

I rubbed my head a little, “Probably check out the town a little more, what about you two?”

Taiga wrapped her hand around the other girl, “We still need to get to school, isn;t that right Sakura. They can’t do repairs everyday!”

“You are correct.” She said with a small blush about her face, “Then I hope you recover before heading out.”

“Thank you.”

“This meal is ready.” Saint Georgios called out and soon brought some pancakes infront of us. Everyone soon dug in, and I had to admit my fellow saint had me beat in food.

Since it looks like Shirou doesn't exist in this universe, i'm kinda worried for Sakura. Asia seems to be slowly helping her to open up a bit, so continue with that.
>>
The morning had come and gone, the other two already making their way towards the School before the eighth hour of the day. So with that myself and Georgios made our way out into the greater city, and I had a place in mind.

After about half an hour of driving Excalicycle we arrived in front of the only Church in the city. While I am surely not suppose to stay here proper, it would be a good idea to visit my fellow clergy and talk to him about the occurrences last night.

I made my way across the courtyard, the feeling of Heaven’s blessing not avoiding my senses. For the man to have taken a majority to Vatican occasions, he was somehow still cared for. I guess I should be happy for that, but the oddity was noticed by myself.

Once we reached the grand doors, I pushed my way inside. The pews were the first thing I saw, empty as if never used. Though it did not stop the colored light from reaching its way into the building, grand tales all displayed on the windows.

There was a small flash from my side, and I quickly turned around to see Georgios had his camera out. It only took him a moment to turn to me with a confused look, “Is there a problem with me taking pictures of the sacred scenes?”

“Oh no!” I shook my head violently, “I was just not expecting it. I guess you are enjoying the Camera?”

“Indeed, it is a valuable thing.” He said with the greatest smile he had, which was showing only a little bit of his teeth, “When one grows old or travel so much they can forget scenes. To catch God’s world in a moment is a gift from the Lord himself.”

“”Then you should go to the Vatican, Saint Peter’s Vasilica is a reason to keep going back.” We turned to face a grinning Priest who slowly gave a bow, “My name is Father Kiere Kotomine, may I ask for yours?”

“Rider.” The Servant said with a frown, “I am sorry to not say my name, but witches and wizards are not something to scoff at.”

“It is understandable.” The Priest said with a nod, “Have you two seen the local news recently?”

I shook my head, “We do not live with a television, did something happen?”

“There was a massive explosion last night originating from the sewers. It burnt a little less than half the docking yard and devastated Fuyuki’s shipping exploits for at least a year.” His smirk never left his face, “Care to explain what really happened, Saint Asia.”

“It was Berserker.” I said with a firm bit of determination, “She started the fight by trying to eat me. But after the havoc that she had caused, she was able to escape in the sewers. We were not able to find her after that.”

“Interesting,” The man shook his head with a grin, “Would you by chance know who its Master is?”

“It was a petite girl, maybe no older than eight.” I reached into my mind trying to remember the girls face, “Snow white hair and blood red eyes.”

“So the Einzberns brought another Homunculus to the war?”

“Yeah, I guess she was not- Wait!” My eyes widened a small bit at the man, “You know who she is?”

The grin on the Priest’s face seemed to make my heart skip a beat, “Indeed I do, the Einzberns have fought in this War multiple times. Why they even own a parcel of land somewhere in the city, along with the Motou and Tohsaka families.”

Ideas were running through my head, the family name I heard from Taiga noted down with a line drawn underneath. However, there was a threat that needed to be taken care of, “So where is Berserker?”

“If I were to tell you, Saint Asia, that would be breaking my neutrality in this War.” The Priest said with a wave of his hand, “However, all men have their own prices, as I do my own. If I were to give you this, I expect a Saint to repay the favor down the line.”

“That is not something a man of the cloth should be saying.” Georgios, who had been standing by my side quietly finally spoke up, “Our duties are different, but we all serve the Lord above. You should either have given us the information, or withheld it for your sacred duty as Overseer.”

“You would be correct, Saint.” Kotomine said with a small grin, “But I regularly deal with the underbelly of the Church, where rumors of Templars, Hassassins, Devils, and even Free-Masons are real and roam free. Such activities can jade a man, and to call in such a powerful favor is a Godsend.”

“No, I do not think I will be needing that.” I looked up at the Father with reason in my heart, “She is Berserker, it is not hard to believe we will meet her again.”

“Very well, that is your choice.” He said with another wave of hands, “The offer will always be open.”

“Thank you. We should be leaving now.”

“Very well, I do hope you two find what you are looking for within this Grand War.” Was the last thing I heard as we closed the doors between ourselves and Kotomine.

I took in a breath, “That could have gone better.”

“Indeed, though he was an odd one.” Georgios claimed as we pasted the metal gates, “Suspicious to say the least, but none of what he did was hostile. I do still wish to keep an eye on him though.”

“So many people of interest, so little time.” I lamented as we turned for the sidewalk, “Lets just walk for a little bit, I believe they are all still in school.”

“Thou wishes to visit Taiga and Sakura?”

“Yeah, if nothing else than figure out if the School is safe.”

We soon made our way around and towards the school, cutting through the residential neighborhood as we did. There was not much activity, people either at school or at work, so we were able to just stroll without much hint of people.

It would have been when we were about four blocks from the school that the mental link between Master and Servant snapped again, ‘Asia, it seems we are being followed.’

‘Really, when!’

‘I do not know, but they seem to be human in all aspects.’ The Servants eyes seemed to shift from place to place, ‘They do not seemed very trained either.’

‘Where are they?’

‘Back right, right around the wall.’

I quickly peered over my shoulder, the sight of a hooded figure standing there.

‘Let us go around the corner.’

‘Agreed.’

With that we turned a corner, but did not move any further from it. It did not take long, as the boy’s head poked out from the corner only to face us.

“Oh SHIT!” He cried before falling on his ass. His eyes were wide as he quickly looked up both myself and Georgios, “Uh, can I help you two?”

“Thou was tailing us.” The Rider said so with a scow, “Why were you doing so?”

“Oh, uh, I was paid okay!” The boy quickly stampede off, “Everyone has to make a living, okay?”

“And are you going to tell us who hired you?” I asked him.

Somehow that made the boy even more terrified, “I just got a phone call okay! He had already forward me the money!

I shared a look with Georgios that seemed a bit of indifference before turning to the man, “Can we see your phone? Maybe find out who called us?”

“H-hell no! I didn’t break any laws!” The boy cried out while backing away from us, “If I give you my phone you bastards will just break it!”

“Well, all we can do is call it I guess.” I said with a small sigh. With a click of my hand the phone started to ring, and another changed it to speaker. It went once, twice, three times before the tone stopped.

“Hello hello, I presume this to be Rider and his Master.” A regal voice answered us.

“Thou is, and he has sent spies to follow us.” Georgios responded with a small bit of distaste in his voice.

“Yes, he was a rookie who would have been way over his head.” The man responded with a small laugh, “But I knew you wouldn’t kill him if he was found, or that I really cared either.”

It did not take much more of a brain to figure it out, “So he was a messenger.”

“Indeed, he was a messenger to give you my phone number so that I may talk to you.”

“A bit complicated.” I soon needed to ask the question that needed to be asked, “So who are you?”

“Who am I, I am sure you have a guess.” The man once again snickered in the background, “You may call me Caster.”

“Of course, a spell caster sitting behind a barrier of his own creation.” Georgios said with a click of the tongue, “And why do you tell us this?”

“Well you see, I desire something, and you are able to find it out.”

“What is it that thou wishes to know?” Georgios’s face turned into a fearce snear as he looked down at the phone.

“Simple, in the name of Jolly Cooperation I desire you two to find out where Assassin is, and return to me a report on that.”

“Thou does not show their face, why would we trust you?”

I shared a look with Georgios, who simply shook his head at the phone. The subtle blackmail was not something we expected, but in the end I smelled something else here. One does not know what they can gain unless they move forward.

“Why do you wish to know that?”

“Oh, someone who does not fall to my attempts of blackmail. Meh, I guess that is expected.” The voice seemed almost half way into the conversation, “It is simple, Sister Asia Argento. He is the one person I have yet to find anything about. Complete mysteries. The Master is such an unnotable person that they might as well be a rat in the sewers.”

The voice seemed to switch tones from the halfwitted wonderment to something more, tense, “Assassin though, do you realize how dangerous such a being is? Not only can I tie him to a Master, but his skills are so proficient that he cannot be found on the entire surveillance network in the city.”

The more and more Caster went on about Assassin, I started to feel something was off, “Then how do you expect us to find him?”

“Oh, what was that?”

“I mean, you say this Servant is untraceable.” I finally finished my thoughts, “Why do you think we can find him, but you can not.”

Another small laugh came through the phone, “Sister Asia, you must be too humble for your own good. From my small time reborn on this earth and have known your face, I have discovered your legacy. Excommunicated in April, in May you had defeated Vampires in Moto, Killed a Devil in Taiwan, and killed and entire cartel of them in Hong Kong. The next month you kill a Dragon in the United States, and turn around to killing Kokabiel in Kuoh.”

I could hear his entertained voice coming out of the phone, “You, which by all means should have been a normal human took the full brunt of Ibaraki Douji’s Noble Phantasm and lived. Not to mention your Supernatural Sight, yes I know about it, and one would ask why not hire you.”

From just those words I felt violated, “H-how do you know all this!”

He gave a final, evil laugh, “Miss Asia, you must realize the world is a small place. Every person is connected to each other by Seven Degrees, even the supernatural. The world is my oyster, and none in this era can stop me from eating it.”

“Thou hast made their point,” Georgios finally announced, “But I do not fear my name being released to the others, Caster. If thou truly seek our help, thou must give us consideration.”

A small sigh escaped from the other end, “You are correct, and you have me. Yes, I need you and Lancer who you made a deal with last night to find Assassin. As a down payment, I will give you the True Name of any Servant and Master, sans myself. After you have given me the report, I shall grant you another’s.”

It was a longer thought than normal, but it had to be done. I once more linked up the mental connection to Georgios, ‘Do we take it?’

‘While the Servent’s previous methods were disgraceful, now we have a chance to benefit from it.’ He thought to himself for another few seconds, ‘I believe that taking advantage of such a man is worth it in the long run. Though I do desire that we find him soon.’

Withn that finished I turned back towards the phone, “Alright, we will do it. As for the Servant, I request the identity of Saber.”

“Excellent, you will surely not regret your choice to my hire,” The sound of papers could be heard rustling, “Saber’s identity is Joan D’ Arc, Maiden of Orelans. As for her Master, it’s easier to say she belongs to the Mstou family. First Master was Sakura Matou, but it seems she relinquished the rights to her brother in law Shinji Motou. If it helps you, he is not a magician, so Joan is currently starving to non-existence.”

I could not help but shake my head as I heard Sakura’s name, “Thank you very much, Caster.”

“Realizing you have allowed a potential enemy into your own home? I know, it is quite a conundrum. Reason I made sure my Master was not dumb enough to do such a thing.”

I did not answer his taunt, neither did Georgios.

“Well I’ll take your silence into consideration. As for Assassin, I have decided to try and narrow it down to three deaths, each of which was unusual in its own way. Check these out for further leads.”

Soon enough my phone rang with a series of names.

Yujo Yushii: Lived in a Flat until he was killed. Has a history of money laundry, bribery, and owns a rather suspicious island off the coast of Russia. Death was by stab wound.

Nura Masaru: Whore who’s entire body was torn asunder, identified through dental records. Somehow ended up in the sewers upon death.

Mino Toshiro: Multiple stab wounds through the gut, chest, and arms. Was in an ally when it occurred. Has a history of mugging, larceny, and is a registered pedofile.

“These are the names, Sister Asia and Saint Georgios. I expect results by tomorrow night.”

And with that the phone silenced iself in the afternoon sun.

“We probably should not be meeting up with Taiga or Sakura right now.” I said with a small frown.

“Indeed, we should take our time for that scenario.” He pointed at one of the names on the text I received, “I believe this Mino Toshiro is our closest bet, or at least that is what I feel it is.”

“Then let us go.” With that we traveled towards the location, this time using Excalicycle instead of walking for the efficiency.

The city proper was much more active than the residential area we were in, men and women going from place to place to buy items and eat food. We had to bother with some traffic as well, but I soon found that driving through allies were in fact the norm for motorcycles when I watched a few others do that.

The sun was about midway through its decent in the sky when we arrived at the location Caster gave us. There was still caution tape strung up about the area, but no officers watching over it.

“So thou was not lying, there was a death here.”

“Yeah, I guess we should get a closer look.” And with that I ducked underneath the tape and traveled onto the other side of the tape. Taking a look about the place, there was trash everywhere. A pile of old rags seemed to show that someone might have been here and homeless, but their owner was nowhere to be found.

“Well Saint Asia, it seems we are missing a corpse and there is too much debris.” Georgios said as he kicked away some of the material, “Your choice what we should do, but we will need to meet Lancer soon.

>Investigate the Area *How and Roll*
Search in the wall and the floor for any marks that could indicate a fight. Maybe we could get a clue of the weapon the assassin use.
Also search for blood drips to see how the assassin works. Little to no blood could show he is a professional who try to cover his tracks. Great marks could indicate he is a psycho or something similar. Someone who enjoys they work way too much

“Let us investigate the area.” I said with a wave of my hands, “There might be some details that we can still use.”

“Alright, then we shall see what we can find.” Georgios said with an affirmation.

We went straight into the investigation, searching through the debris to see if there was anything we could get. If I had to be honest, it was mainly just me cleaning up a majority of the trash to see the underneath of it. Soon enough though, I finally came across something from within the debris.

It was among the trash itself, but the object caught my eyes. I snatched it from the piles, and looked over it with a studying glare.

It was a white pamphlet with red writing all about it. I quickly did a once over, and found the sigil resting on the inside with red text bellow it.

May your pleasures become reality.

“Devils.” There was no magical power being exhumed from it, so whatever change it had was taken away from its use. On the edges of the paper there was blood, as if whoever was carrying this was injured when it was used. I thought back for a moment before a realization hit me.

“Georgios, this is where Assassin was summoned!”

“Indeed.” I received as a response, “Though I have found something myself.”

I quickly moved over to where the Servant was looking, and we could see old writing in chalk almost circling a certain area. It was shaped into a body, and at the center was an indentation inside of the ground.

I knelt over and examined it, the indentation not less an indentation and more of a hole. A hole in the shape of a blade.

“It seems this was the doing of Assassin, or atleast a Servant summoned here.” Georgios announced as I finished looking over it.

“Well then we have two possibilities.” I said out loud, “Either Assassin was summoned in a time of panic, or a Devil did the deed instead.”

I received a shaken head form Georgios, “No Devil was summoned here, that I can tell. Then it was Assassin.”

“Then it was Assassin.”

As the sun was setting over the sky, we started to make our way towards the large bridge. It seemed that rush hour for the most part was over, people already in their homes for the evening. With the silent humming of Excalicycle calming down, we were before the massive bridge that connect two halves of the city.

It was not hard to see Lancer, who was looking over the view from the bridge itself. He was standing in a regal form, like a Lord inspecting his fiefdom. He had already noticed us when we approached, turning when we were about twenty five feet out from him.

“An interesting steel horse you have there.”

“It has been a blessing.” I said while petting the weapon turn vehicle, “It seems you were able to convince your Master to come.”

“Indeed, I have, though without consequence.” The Servant said while once again turning towards the sun, “He is growing more troublesome by the moment. If I am not careful he will endanger both our chances at obtaining the Grail.”

“We cannot choose our Leiges.” Georgios remarked.

“Indeed, we cannot.” The Servant bashed his hand on the railing to leave a dent, “But the fool thinks he is that, but he is not. He is but my Vassal, and the sooner he and the rest figure that is the case, I am getting ahead of myself. Were you two able to find anything relating to Berserker?”

I shook my head, “Nothing when it comes to Berserker, she was able to disappear.”

“Is that so.” The Servant rose from his place, “Well from my own investigations I was able to determine a point of interest. The Demon seemed to have devoured a person in the sewers, so I was wishing to go check it out.”

I tilted my head a little, “Do you know who it is?”

The Servant nodded, “A woman by the name of Nura Masaru. From the report I was able to scrounge up, it said she was mauled by a massive beast, found in the sewers near the South Western part of the city. I planned on taking the Sewers from here to that location.”

“Your reasoning is sound, we should go investigate it then.” I said with a firm determinant.

“Then follow me, the opening is nearby.” Lancer quickly ran off the edge overlooking the river. We peered over the edge, and saw that there was a small edge of gravel running alongside the river, so me and Rider went down to follow.

Traveling upwards against the river, the water’s flow a calming bit to my ears. Soon enough though I noticed the rather large pipes that were leading into the river, each could easily fit several vehicles inside of themselves.

“This way.” The Lancer pointed into one of the more larger pipes. Seeing nothing more to follow with we went our way inside of it.

The interior was completely dark, save for a few strobe lights here and there. The smell was of course horrendous, but I easily chalked that up to us exploring the sewers for the Lord’s sake. Soon enough though the place expanded to what one could mistaken as a massive tomb.

“I did some research on this place beforehand.” Lancer spoke as we advanced into the open casum, “It seems that the Japanese designed this area to make their city more resistant to flooding. Water would slood in here and not rise to their industrialised surface.”

“But its perfect to breed mosters or dispose of bodies.”

“Indeed, also from the reports the corpse was not recovered yet, so it is still down here. Search for it!” The Lancer ordered with a wave of his hands.

“Okay!” With the command given we both split up to investigate what the occurrence was down here. With the land as dark as it is, I quickly brought out Excalibur and willed it into a flash light of sorts. With its light, I was able to brighten up the surrounding area.

What I saw was something I did not expect, all the walls looked to have been covered in scorch marks, as if everything was lit aflame once before, “What happened here?”

“I do not know,” Georgios said truthfully, “But it seems to have happened a long time ago.”

“I see, why do you think that?”

“When things are old, they tend to erode away.” The Servant said pointing towards places where the scorch marks were gone and replaced with white cement, “Time has healed this place of whatever greater evil spawned down here.”

As he said those words I could not help but shiver. I did not notice it at first, but the place was starting to give me a horrible feeling of dread. Either way, we had to continue.

We continued our creep through the place, and soon I could not ignore the putrid smell anymore, “Where is that coming from? It smells like a pile of corpses.”

“Because I think it is.” The Servant pointed towards a branching pipe that seemed to lead further in the city. Indeed, the smell was coming from the inside of it, so strong that it was practically hard to ignore.

“Something is down there.” Was what I could say staring down the hole. THe feeling I got from it, I still could not place it.

A small laugh escaped the mouth of Saint Georgios, “A dark hole that leads to who knows where, filled with dark vile energies. Is this not something that we should investigate?”

“Lancer!” I called out to the darkness, “We found something!”

“It would be good to have his assistance.” Georgios said with a small smile, “Is that not correct Lancer?”

“Indeed.” The Servant jumped over a hill of cement, soon appearing before us, “So this is the place?”

“As far as we can tell.” I said while shining a light down the hole, “It has quite the menacing aura.”

“Then let us move.” Within a moment a large item appeared in his hand. It was comparable to a spear, but instead the weapon had two needle edge ends instead of the standard one, “Rider, do you wish to take point or rear?”

“I will take point.” The Servant said while moving forth into the cave, “Thou can say I have experience with these conditions, and I will take the hits on your behalf.”

“Thank you, even if it pains me not being before my men.”

With that we went in, myself being in the center of the two legends. I shined my light from one point to another, searching for anything that could be the corpse. Though as we got closer, I could not help but have the feeling grow. Why it grew so much that…

“Devils.” My tongue mirthed.

“The realm is being caked in it.” Georgios claimed as he drew out his sword, “It is a wonder why I was not able to notice it earlier.”

“You two seem to forget we are facing magicians. Some of which have lived on this land for generations.” Lancer said with shifting eyes, “They can keep a great many things hidden with such a craft, especially if they had time.”

Suddenly I felt the air tense, the demonic energies finally falling upon us. We were not surprised however, as I quickly pointed my light to cracks within the cemented walls. Crawling out of them were not humans, but grotesque abominations shaped vaguely humanoid. I quickly shined my light from place to place, counting at least ten of these creatures followed up with abominable beasts.

We did not find Berserker, we found a Magician’s workshop.

well, it will be kinda hard to fight with excalibur when we need it as a lantern to see in the dark. We really need a backup weapon.
Maybe we should play support this turn.
Do we have space and time to use our bounded field? I don't remember if it was something instantaneous or if we had to prepare it before using. If yes, i would like to use it. Lancer and Rider should have no problem entering it, and the abominations seems to be of the mindless type, so that should keep them away.

But if using it now is not a option, then summon our familiar to fight in our place, and use our shout Battle Fury to help Lancer and Rider.

Within the first few seconds of all the monsters appearing the two Servants were already at work slaughtering them. The closest one to the front Georgios faced off against, the beast getting a pair of slices through the neck. The head easily fell onto the ground, though there were still a great many still surrounding us.

Such I turned to watch as Lancer impaled the ground with his lance, and the next moment a number of spears came out of the ground spearing the pair who were unlucky enough to have approached him. The Beasts however were still alive, even after the Servant willed a second pair of spike to scur them.

I thought to myself for a moment. I could only damn myself that Excalibur was my only true weapon. It might have produced enough light on its own to allow me the fighting chance, but that would mean robbing my fellows of the light. Without much else to go on, I brought a spell to hand.

With a flick of my wrist I released a bounded field, if just to affect these beast somewhat. While maybe a single one decided to flee, the rest stayed behind as I am sure their dark master desired. With that option gone, I went ahead and summoned up the power from within my Soul to assist them!

”Mid Vur Shaah!”

With that cry the weapons of my protectors grew with a soft orange glow. It was right on time though as Georgios made his advance towards a pair of beasts, swiftly cutting them to shreds of tender flesh with ease.

On the other, I watched as Lancer raised his hand with a feral smile, “To think I would experience the blessing of the Dragons once more, may you be impaled for your trespass against me!” The next moment the entire rear of the sewer covered in pikes. Within that moment he had four of the beasts impaled on them.

“Advance Rider!” The Servant called out, “With your Master’s blessing we should have no problems slaughtering these abominations!”

“Thou speaks true and just! I will follow thy’s command!” And with that cry we advance, cutting down the remaining three with dangerous efficiency.

We began our travel, the beast no longer human abominations but instead series upon series of rats. With each strike the sewers were painted a crisp purple color, what I quickly realized was the color of their blood. Pikes littered the floor as Georgios cut his way through them.

Soon enough the abominable like humanoids appeared before us in their greatest number, twenty in all. This time they stood between us and what looked to be deviation from the sewers. For some reason a few were sticking themselves to the walls like parasites.

As the beasts started filing in the passage as the Servants advanced to fight. With brutal efficiency Georgios cut down another of the beings, his sword cutting off another’s limb. Though somehow it continued to walk forwards as its allies were slaughtered by the massive numerous pikes of Lancer.

I felt a small build up in my soul, and with a yell I released a wave of force before me, ”Fus Ro Dah!”

Sadly only a few that were fighting had been knocked out of the way, the ones who had attached themselves to the walls somehow withstanding the force. Though a majority of this flesh was blown away, leaving back only an angry red muscle.

“Tsk, there are a great many!” Cried Georgios as he finished off the one before him, quickly moving towards another with a pair of slices to the chest to put it down.

“Indeed, what are they-” As Lancer spoke, the sewers themselves began to shake.

It only took me a moment to realize what they were trying to do, “They are trying to seal off the sewer!”

Before I could run forward to slay the beasts at the entrance a hand was placed before me. This one was Lancer’s, “It has already fallen.”

“Wha-”

As I spoke, the shaking occurred once again before the sewers themselves seemed to bend. I watched in horror as the sewer entrance those very beings were connected to flew from their place, the roof that was above them soon caving in from the missing supports.

We were lucky though, as the collapse did not make its way towards us. Instead, the remaining majority of creatures were crushed from the impact. The remainder soon scattered from before us, making their way to all directions of the sewers.

Soon enough we wordlessly made out way above the rubble, soon exiting towards the surface. My eyes widened as I saw the entire street caved in, cars and a few corpses all strewn throughout it.

“Damn them!” Lancer cried out as Georgios came to my side, “Damn them all to hell!”

I could not agree more.
