Describe your stats in plain English using the ranks below.
Ranks: minuscule, weak, low, below average, average, above average, high, exceptional
For Stats, an “average” rank means the rank of an average person
For skills and other abilities, an “average” rank means an average person skilled with this ability; an average professional. Those with less than average ranks are skilled amateurs. Yes, this means, above average skills are uncommon.

The skills are freeform so you can list anything. Here's an extensive list if you need inspiration: https://gurps.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_Skills

Attached is an example character from the Mythic book.

CREATION RULES
1) Create your character, following the rules above.
2) Reminder: you are playing as yourself, the person behind the screen. The more honest you are statting yourself, the more fun this is going to be.
3) Reminder: for skills, an average rank means the rank of an average professional, not the average person. If you rank yourself as Average, then it means that you're as good as the average professional.

GENERAL RULES
1) Namefag yourself.
2) Roll 20d100 with each post. The rolls will be used for the GM emulator.
3) You have to keep track of your own inventory and money.

MULTIPLAYER RULES
1) You can chat with the other players as much as you want
2) Don't make more than one action post before the QM responds

Information floods into your minds as a series of options appears before you. The first seems to be a series of classic archetypes and the second, a numbered list of short titles for something you can't help but wonder.

> CLASSES:
> Warrior - A mundane master of martial combat, you receive a significant boost to your Strength and Toughness and are considered to have High skill in every weapon and armour you choose to wield.
> Rogue - An accomplished savant of subterfuge and guile, you receive a boost to your Agility and Dexterity and are considered to have High skill in both sneaking and the arts of thieving, lockpicking, and pickpocketing.
> Sorcerer - A magic user tapping into your own mind, you may attempt to visualise spells and cast them in accordance to your imagination. Sorcery is fickle and often backfires or works in unexpected ways.
> Priest - A champion of a deity of your choice, you may invoke them to lend you miraculous aid from above or below. Your deity doesn’t always answer and members of rival religions shall hate or shun you.

> CHEATS:
> 1) Brick Phone
> 2) The Time Anon Reincarnated as a Monster!
> 3) Cosmic Vending Machine
> 4) [Catch Phrase]
> 5) Edgelord
> 6) Moneychanger
> 7) Chaos Factor
> 8) Sweet Ride
> 9) Death Count
> 10) Harem Protag
> 11) True Sight
> 12) A E S T H E T I C
> 13) Anonymous
> 14) [Make a Stand]
> 15) Strange Aeons
> 16) Omae wa mou shindeiru
> 17) Vice/Virtue
> 18) After-Effect
> 19) Electric Conduit
> 20) Dragon Soul

More knowledge enters your psyche, and the potential options are revealed to you. You may choose a class, guaranteed to grant great power and eventually supernatural competency in its specialty and roll a single d20 on the Isekai cheat chart for a boon ranging from mediocre to gamebreaking, you can decide not to take a class and roll dual d20s on the Isekai cheat chart, or you can refuse to roll on the Isekai cheat chart and gain access to a specialty subclass straight away. Each available class is only at its starting point. Alternatively if you are a big-dicked megachad you can refuse to take any class or cheat power, and make you accomplishments that much more impressive.

>>Strengths:

Solid Base: Although You have low Physical Stats, you have the advantage of a family and genetic history of being fit and healthy, meaning that it is easier than most to raise them.

Dog Lover: You love dogs, and they love you. (not like that you perverts)

Quick Learner: You learn fast, but really only if it interests you, whether because you truly enjoy it, passing fancy, or urgency.

Down The Hatch: Although you are spoilt on good food, you still have no qualms about eating something that anyone else would deem unfit for human consumption. Rotten meat? Just cook it until it stops being rotten. Moldy bread? Cut off the bad parts. This may lead to eating actually dangerous things, and is as such as much a curse as a blessing.

Glorious Hair: Your hair is glorious. This has no actual effect but making you feel good about yourself so long as you have it, and sad if it is either damaged, removed, or significantly dirtied.

Temperature Tolerance: You grew up in Texas, where the weather was schizophrenic and your room was alternately the hottest in the house or coldest. This has no effect on physically damaging heat or cold, such as Frostbite or Fire
>>Weaknesses:

Socially Awkward: You spent most of your time in a book or on the computer, not talking. This has had a negative impact on general socialization.

Compassionate: While being mean makes others feel bad, being mean makes you feel REALLY bad.

Messed up Joints: Although this lets you do weird things like dislocate your arms and replace them without harm or much pain, it also means your left hip joint clicks like you're 80 and it's on your 3rd replacement. On rare occasions, it fails you when doing physical activity.

Needs Glasses: You need fairly strong prescription glasses to see properly.

>Class: Beastmaster
You are in touch with Nature and animals, but rather than peacefully coexist such as a druid, you bend it to your will and tame animals.

>Inventory:
0G 1S 5C

Lumber axe: A 2 handed axe made for chopping lumber, it is, however, more than sufficient for combat.

Prescription glasses: Need them to see, you're probably done for if you lose these and can't adjust or get a new pair soon enough.

Conductor's Hat: All that remains of your beloved Express. Stylish.

Winter Clothes: Warm, thick clothing. Not as stylish as your hat, but they're sturdy and match so it's fine.

>Ancestry and Notable Ancestors/Deceased Relatives

Descended from clan McCullough (Meaning Son Of Boar) Of Scotland and Cutler McCullough, infamous Scottish Raider of Ireland

Direct relations to Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston, Heroes of the Texas Revolution.

>Companions:
Larry the Loyal Leopard cat
Very good boy

Background: Double Isekaiee. Self-explanatory. Got too excited over newfound respect from a series of duels and died. Then fell in the Familia Wars to Shi. Proceeded to have a *very* strange dream about being a Robot Cat.
>>
>>3988344
PT3

>Cheats:
Strange Aeons: You no longer age, you are immune to mental influence, and you have a handful of supernatural abilities, you can enter and manipulate dreams, grow and recede alien appendages at will, and summon weak entities from Lovecraft’s mythos if you fulfill the grisly requirements.

The original OP also gave it an unmentioned here +1 RS to agility, as well as clarifying that alterations to the torso may also be made within reason. It also seems that corpses are the price for rituals, not necessarily actual murders in the monster's name. Also, weak is by Lovecraftian standards, meaning that anything up to a Shoggoth eating a large village's population or slaying a party of average adventurers is fair game.

Sweet Ride: You possess any vehicle manufactured in the last century that only requires one person to drive. It is supernaturally durable, needs no fuel, and needs no maintenance. In addition, its passenger capacity and storage space are tripled, at no change to its size. Nobody will think it's weird unless you want them to. It can be enchanted and modified at no risk to its function.

The power the Eldritch Express is such that it requires 220 lbs of assorted flammable material to move its current number of cars, and all who see it actually realize just how strange and important it is. Its passenger car siderooms and Conductor's cabin are at the height of modern luxury, complete with a bunk bed, TV, Stereo/radio system, a nightstand, coat/hatrack, and multiple consoles with assorted videogames and movies to watch and play. It has a combination Messhall/Kitchen/Medical car, as well as 2 storage cars, filled simple assorted logging tools and fuel logs at the moment.

Death Count: You have a perfect count of every kill you have made organised as you
please, and an instinctive understanding of everything you encounter’s
weaknesses on every level physical, mental, and spiritual. This applies
to people and their psychology.

Strengths
Under Pressure: When things are down to the wire you always seem composed and
confident where others bend and break. Bonus to retaining composure.

Crunch Time: You’re at your best when things are at their worst. All checks are easier
when calamity looms. Bonus during crisis such as being near death, attempting to save near death teammates and other high risk situations.

>>3988904
Yeah, it's very useful when it comes to breaking down that kind of magical fuck up. We had a pretty decent adventure in the city of the gods: Devapura. Some gods pressganged into some organizations that were blatant imitations of ones from a subpar anime about some wizard chick pining after an autistic warrior girl. They then threw us into a wacky gladiatorial battle where we were forced to cut down our friends in front of a jeering crowd of bloodthirsty pagan deities. Fortunately, death has even less consequences than we previously thought, and the fallen were sentenced to a few hours in the isekai rec room.

Then the winning yuri rip-off faction had a party where I flirted with a severely autistic guardian deity responsible for the flimsiest divinity suppression system ever, they were appalled by our drug trade and general chaotic alignment. Needless to say, I didn't score.

After an awkward party where everyone but me tried to grind stats alone in their rooms like they did at every party they ever attended in life, we got marched down to the famous hole in the ground where everyone goes to fight endless trash mobs to get crystals to exchange for dosh in yet another reference to that lesbian sword show. After some combat that was so effortless that it wasn't even playable, Shi started casting spells. This proved to be the greatest threat the party had ever faced, as Shi repeatedly casted spells that had the potential to doom the entire party, and managed to kill four people in his arcane failures. He then was about to cast a spell that would get everyone killed, and I attempted to kill him, but fortunately he fucked up and turned himself into a rock. Then I used Death Perception(A cheat ability I smuggled through the suppresion system) to unrock him.

Then he started bitching about it and likely activated the detection system. It was at this point the QM ditched, and not wanting to end it on a whimper, I used Death Perception to completely destroy the suppression system and lay waste to the city by releasing the true forms of all the divine residents.

Yea I remember you. You can transfer your character from Multiplayer Isekai Quest (Mythic RPG). The one you and me we're in togather.

>>3988830
>Killer Instinct: The instincts of a killer have been drilled into your head +1RS for your attacks. You can find out the weakness of any creature by looking at them and activating your ability.

>>3988918
Fight night: You can make hardened bone growths protrude from your fists making your wrists as powerful as maces. You can challenge someone mid combat to a duel and you will get +1RS to fighting them and they will exclusively attack you. The more people you kill in duels the higher your RS bonus will become.
>>
>>3988931
This sounds like a better plot than most isekai anime.
Then again, that's not a high bar to soar over.
>>
>>3988936
*Fists not wrists
>>
>>3988931
Oh, so when you form a drug empire it’s ok. But when I want to run a protection racket not to mention the other host of mafia-esque things I was setting up, I’m literally erased from existence with no warning, reasoning, or explaination behind it.

Also update the thread man, I didn’t even get to kick the biggest guy in the yard in his rear axel.
>>
>>3988936
Oh so I’m just Knuckles, maybe I’ll be able to pull a Wolverine too.
>>
>>3988936
Can you show me mercy and let me re-roll my cheat too?
I'll understand if you can't.
>>
>>3988967
Sure It's Christmas after all and I'd like the cheats I came up with to be put to use.

Rolled 8 (1d20)

Thank you. Though I realise some of this may need to be edited.

> A priest getting the cheat "Seven Sins".
Of course, it couldn't have been anything else.
>>
>>3988941
It was less of a drug empire and more Loki being a ditz and having an understanding of the drug trade that's based entirely on anime.

I'm sorry about the quest but I don't think I'll be able to do anything with it. The whole project just had some foundational issues that would have become very apparent if it progressed any further, especially with the combat and plot progression. The whole setting would work better as a one character quest where I could knuckle down and get everything sorted for one character. Meter mechanics sort of grind the whole thing to a screeching halt with multiple players and I didn't really have any workable ideas to bridge the gap between some solid beginning and end points.

I'm not saying this is the last you'll see of Tartarus though, I'll be running it as a more narrative focused traditional quest some time in the future once I fix up the system and setting.
>>
>>3988984
>Seven Sins: You can target someone and give them a debuff based on their most prominent of the seven deadly sins in them.
>>
>>3988995
oof
>>
>>3988995
OK, much more fitting than the first version.
This sounds like a great way to stack debuffs on someone, especially in combination with "Killer Instinct".
>>
>>3988985
Can't you just drop the meter mechanics?
>>
>>3988985
That’s a shame, I’ll keep an eye out for your quest once you rework it.

>>3988969
Since I’d be better off fighting at a distance I might try a rework as well. Could you tell me what the subclasses are for the sorcerer?
>>
>>3989011
I let him reroll because he never had a cheat he just had his advance class that he chose instead of a cheat. I'm not gonna let you reroll.
>>
>>3989016
He had a stand though.
>>
>>3989016
Wait, I didn't have an advanced class.
I had the cheat [Make a Stand].
>>
>>3989016
He had a cheat. His class was basic priest and he had a stand.
>>
>>3989021
>>3989019
>>3989020
To recap:
I had a stand named [Speed Demon] which had the ability to manipulate the velocity of anything it touched.
>>
>>3989024
I think that's a better ability than Seven Sins to be honest. A lot more potential and versatility with a Stand in general.
>>
>>3989021
You already rolled for a cheat here. I wallowed pople wwho had cheats to reroll their cheats you did that. I'm at a Christmas party so i'll talk later.
>>
>>3989030
OK, I'll keep my old cheat/stand [Speed Demon[ to avoid confusion and you can object to my decision when you are less busy.
>>
>>3989021
Fight Night doesn't have to be used in melee. The duel function is actually pretty good for singling out targets at range and cucking melee fighters.
>>
>>3989037
What are the specifics of Fight Night anyway?
Sorry, I'm not well versed in this.
>>
>>3989030
We both originally had cheats and refilled for them in order to fit within your system. Miracle and I went through the exact same process. He asked to reroll after he got Killer Insticnt and you allowed it. I don’t see how my case is any different from his.
>>
>>3989042
Most of Shi's cheats seem to be based in some form of grimdark/bodyhorror trope. Fight Night warps the hands into mauls for enhanced unarmed combat, as well as the psionic ability to compel enemies into single combat. A rather silly physical mutation in my opinion, but as it often is with cheats the secondary ability is much more valuable.
>>
>>3989043
In fact, I wasn’t asking for a reroll (though if I was, there shouldn’t be an issue) I asked for information on the subclasses

>>3989037
I was thinking about the bone fists/claws when I was speaking on the range issue. Shi would most likely only give me the +1 RS when I’m physically attacking, and drawing attention to myself by using the cheat can be emulated simply by pissing my target off.

It’s not a bad cheat but it doesn’t fit well with with my playstyle, class, or stats. If I had to have it, I wouldn’t be likely to use it in a combat setting certainly not to it’s full capabilities at least.
>>
>>3989052
You're a rogue, right? Just use it to initiate combat with someone, then sneak attack for a massive RS to hit and damage.
>>
>>3989052
Well, you're only allowed to reroll on a duplicate cheat as per the previous system.
>>
>>3989057
That’s not how it works (or at least not how it will work) and I’m a sorcerer now.

>>3989058
Miracle got to reroll on a single cheat as seen here
>>3988967
>>3988969

Also, as stated before, I was looking into subclasses. If Shi is playing things loose today because “it’s Christmas after all” I don’t see why I shouldn’t be allowed to benefit. My bullshit senses are tingling and I imagine that this won’t be handled well at all.
>>
>>3989052
It was a mistake to word it as a reroll and I'm sorry for any confusion that may have caused. Miracle rolled to get a new cheat here which I made available to everyone who had gotten a cheat in previous threads. Mark is the one who got killer instinct not Miracle. You can use magic and still activate the cheat, but you have to be at most 10 feet apart from your target to activate the cheat.
>>
I find it funny (and a bit heart-wrenching) that my social life is so non-existent that I have nothing to do during Christmas.
>>
>>3989074
It was a mistake on my part as well, I thought Miracle got killer instinct and rerolled. Due to your wording when talking to Miracle, it sounded as if you were giving him some special privilege and the whole exchange confused me a little since rerolling for a cheat in this system should have been a given.
>>
>>3989032
You chose to lose your cheat you gained in the previous thread to get a new cheat. There are no take backs so your stuck with Seven Sins.
>>
>>3989079
Hey, at least you aren’t doing this on the toilet after eating too much food. Besides, we’re all in this together, We’re collaborative losers.
>>
>>3989082
Fair enough, Shi.
This is a fresh start, looks like I can’t rely on old tactics.
>>
>>3989070
Then use performance-enhancing magic to gain that big RS to attack and damage.
>>
>>3989070
You could focus on self buffs and become a muscle wizard.
>>
>>3989091
>>3989090
Punch wizardmind
>>
>>3989090
>>3989091
I’ll use that stuff for you guys. I’m far too creative and zany to go down such a route. Like I said before, I’m using this in an unconventional way.
>>
>>3989097
>always has some oddball build and gameplan
>never gets to realize any of it before getting booted

The tragedy of Terrance.
>>
>>3989104
Indeed. I suspect that either this thread will meet an untimely demise, or I will be disposed of in the most esoteric and nonesensical way possible.
>>
>>3989110
>Suddenly, rocks falling!
>>
>>3989117
>Chase destroyed the entire setting again!
>>
>>3989117
I imagine it will be much harder than something of that nature; I’m a low tier genius and a mid tier reality warper. If the QM ever wanted to be rid of me, he’ll have to either manipulate the system itself and one shot or seriously incapacitate me. His only other option would be to pull some excuse so deeply rooted in the far left field it may as well be located in the 5th demension.
>>
>>3989123
Or he could use his qm powers to have you carted out of the story with no input on your part.
>>
>>3989130
I’m not unknowingly breaking any nondescript rules this time but who knows. I’ve been screwed over while in far more favorable positions than this one.
>>
>>3989141
Any particular plans for this run? Are you going to take advantage of the political chaos to establish a criminal powerbase for yourself?
>>
>>3989141
>>3989152
I Hope the deal with the covering half the world in ice and ruthlessly exploiting the other half isn't off
>>
>>3989240
What the fuck did you guys get up to while I was gone?
>>
>>3989247
The ice plan was something Terry was thinking about in our original quest, usurping that ice sorcerer to use his climate technology for organized crime.
>>
>>3989249
Ah, now I remember, good times.
>>
>>3989152
That all depends on this setting. Aside from stroking his ego, Shi hasn’t established much.

>>3989240
Eh, that plan somewhat hinged on draining the BBEG’s power to do so. Even with my newfound power I doubt I could pull it off without that factor.

>>3989249
I wasn’t using it for organized crime. I planned on restricting the empire’s access to the resources in the area, driving up prices and allowing me to establish colonies and trading posts in my newly frozen over domain.
>>
>>3989276
Remember Terry, I know an eldritch entity that would just LOVE to help out. He might take it a bit far though, be warned.
>>
>>3989324
Are you able to keep your cheats? Since you have a class and two cheats now, I think things might change on your end. As for the ice wizard itself, I’ll need to have more information before I set my mind on a goal.
>>
>>3989402
He said I keep my cheats, and I can only presume my class is kept.
>>
>>3989402
You can keep your old cheats or get new ones, and I doubt Jack is going to give up The Express, Probably a good move in general, as Shi's cheats generally aren't as good. Their aesthetic is on point though.
>>
>>3989412
“Will something happen to him?” We ask.

“No,” the QM says “no, he gets away.”

>>3989415
I was referring to the fact that he had a class and two cheats.
>>
>>3989422
He has a weaker blessing class, as opposed to a cheat class like ours. He's a beastmaster, which to my memory only has a few limited and defined abilities, as opposed to something like Warrior that gives big stat buffs as well as supernatural omnidiciplinary fighting skill.

I don't think Jackson of all people is getting hit with a nerf.
>>
>>3989429
I’m surprised that the word nerf is even in your vocabulary considering what went down in the last thread. I was rolling just by reading your stat sheet alone and don’t get me started on the cheat smuggling or I might burst into a laughing fit.
>>
>>3989429
I wonder, do Lovecraftian abominations, despite their intelligence, count as animals?
>>
>>3989446
Hey, I'm the first to admit that everything about me is absurdly overpowered in this quest. I have no idea what op was thinking when he wrote Death Count.

>>3989456
Humans are animals too. Congratulations, you unlocked the Slaver advanced class.
>>
>>3989462
I’m not even talking about that. Many of your stats went up a level or two and you gained new skills between threads as well.
>>
>>3989462
Thing is, OP is such an edgelord he'd allow it. Shit. Well, I now have a last resort if summoned and hired labor doesn't work out.

Terry, Chase, Owen. Jackson, Mark, and Miracle are surrounded in blinding light. When it stops they find themselves in a desert. The heat is scorching and the dunes vast. They can see vultures nearby circling what looks like a caravan. Upon closing inspection, it looks as if a battle is taking place between mercenaries and gnolls. The mercenaries are well equipped with iron armor and weapons and look well trained, but they’re small in number. On the complete opposite end, the gnolls use primitive weapons and next to no battle tactics, but their overwhelming numbers are enough to turn the tide of battle. What do you do?

That was your main action in that post. I gotta roll for at least one action.

You could have checked my ability to follow the battle instead of my ability to sit down. Anyways, as long as I'm currently in a marginally more dangerous position due to the presence of gnolls, I'll draw Hitoshi and cleave into the greatest concentration of gnolls in an attempt to scatter them and break their resolve. Instead of focusing on my vision, I'll rely on Death Perception to guide my blade around dozens of unskilled opponents.
>>
>>3990452
I sob with fury ever time you pull out an auxiliary function from your cheat out of nowhere regardless of any prestablished boundaries. Holler if you need any assistance.
>>
>>3990471
The defining features of Death Count are infinite applications and zero limitations. It's like an anime where everyone just makes up their powers as they go along.
>>
Come to think of it, Death Perception is much more reliable as a sense than anything else. All information is instinctually understood and always correct, no conscious thought is needed to confirm and act on any sensory input. All actions can be taken without hesitation in the context of perfect information. Compare that to something like eyes which can be easily overwhelmed by sensory overload, damage, obstruction, and even illusions.

I just might kill you out of pure spite, but for now I need to throw a wild tantrum. I won’t be on for a few hours.
>>
>>3990499
The weak should fear the strong.

Speaking of massacres, how many people died in Devapura that fateful night mr. Hito? I should know for obvious reasons.
>>
>>3990499
If you're having a tantrum now, what I have planned for the future might just give you a fatal aneurysm.
>>
>>3990506
>>3990524
I’m not really scared, I could’ve killed you in at least a dozen ways and that was before my class change. In actuality, I’m more amused at the absurdity of it all rather than enraged. I can only imagine what foolishness you’ll slide by the radars once you get the chance but I’ll be looking toward to it.
>>
>>3990524
>>3990452
Jesus Christ Chase, my thoughts on acquiring a memetic weapon using Strange Aeons are more reasonable than this.

By definition, all your cheat does is tell you, without fail and with maximum clarity, what something's weaknesses are and knowledge of how to exploit them. It does *not* give you the technical proficiency with which to exploit them.

For example, it would tell you that a vampire requires a stake in their heart to go down, but you wouldn't be any more capable of performing the action than if you simply had foreknowledge of that weakness. For another example, Symbolic antimagic wouldn't do shit if you couldn't properly draw the appropriate runes. That's why Warrior was such a good choice of class, it gave you the stats and skills necessary to make the most of it.
>>
>>3990546
At this point he may as well rename his cheat “Automatic Disassembler” it works on so many levels.
>>
>>3990452
Why is your blade named after the op?
>>
>>3990546
The way I see it, there are different scales of weaknesses. Let's use the vampire example, one weakness on a physical scale is fire vulnerability. That is an intrinsic weakness of the vampire tied to it's nature. It has that racial weakness but it also has other weaknesses based in less concrete and observable things. Let's say for instance, that this vampire overcommits on swordswings and has difficulty recovering after a miss because of it. For a fighter of my skill, such a vulnerability can be exploited by baiting an attack and then swiftly countering. That's an example of a weakness that wouldn't be apparent just with foreknowledge of what a vampire is. This is the kind of thing I'm doing with the gnolls, instinctively perceiving the flaws in their offense and defense and acting on it with instinctual muscle memory so I can cut through them as quickly and efficiently as possible. For the sake of convenience, I'll call this technique Death Waltz.
>>
>>3990562
It's kanji for "Equal". I was going to name it "Equalizer" but I realized "Equal" was Shi's name in reverse which I thought was pretty cute.
>>
>>3990571
Apologies, but
"I draw Hitoshi and cleave into the greatest concentration of gnolls in an attempt to scatter them and break their resolve. Instead of focusing on my vision, I'll rely on Death Perception to guide my blade around dozens of unskilled opponents."

Sounds like some anime bullshit, as if you are attempting to cut down swathes of gnolls with your Dynasty Warrioresque swings, rather than the logical, thought out use of your cheat that you just said. As was said earlier, Shi running Mythic is like taking wishes from a genie, You need to be real fucking specific and lengthy or very concise to not fall on your ass. What your action looked like was some badly thought out Anime Shit(tm).
>>
>>3990582
I think it's pretty clear what I mean. The reason why it sounds like anime bullshit, because it is. I didn't ask for this, but my skillset is about as chunni as it gets, absurd katana and all. I prefer to write my actions more from a roleplay perspective rather than a mechanical process I'm inputting into a computer, that means I need to trust on some level that the recipient has some ability to infer and interpret information. If Shi through malice or ignorance interprets my actions incorrectly, fine it's not a big deal. I'm still going to give him some basic respect by not insulting his intelligence with a patronizingly overelaborated input. At the end of the day, I just want to make a halfway worthwhile story.
>>
>>3990571
You only have the knowledge of how to execute an action not the instincts to do so. Muscle memory or instincts is built up for repetition of an action not the knowledge needed to do an action. You're like a highly skilled piano player playing a new piece. You have the skills to execute the sheet music and you know what to do, but you don't have built up the muscle memory to automatically perform the action. You still have to think about what you're doing.
>>
>>3990591
Ah, I se what you mean. I possess every tool I need but lack the experience of actually performing in the way I desire to. Perhaps this could be a new skill for me to develop. Death Waltz: Miniscule perhaps? I definitely need more practice before I can really let loose, but Hitoshi should carry me through easily enough. From a weapons perspective I have the definite advantage, what are gnolls to a blade that can cleave stone after all?
>>

>>
>>3990647
I'm going to rise through the ranks of courtly intrigue until I become the Minister of Anime Bullshit and finally earn a fedora to go with my hoodie and inexplicable magic katana. Seriously, what the fuck is up with the properties of this thing? When it clashed with the stone, instead of the usual spark and bang that accompanies katana abuse it had some weird energy field and made an explosion that wasn't even close to being centered on the point of impact. This thing definitely isn't made with traditional setetsu, and the magnetic stuff definitely doesn't cut like it either. It's more like an idea of a sword than a real blade.
>>

The mercenaries try to fight back, but the numbers advantage the gnolls have is too much for them. Again half of their men are ripped to shreds while only a handful of gnolls die. Among the crowd of gnolls, one looks noticeably bigger than the rest.

Jackson says to Larry “Apologies Larry, but you're not wearing shoes and I've been on the beach enough to know that standing on sand without shoes for too long hurts, so hop inside the train before you start hopping like you're on a tin roof." Larry jumps onto the train. Jackson takes inventory of the fuel and finds 153 pounds of wood logs. Not enough to fuel the train, but it’s a good start.

>>3990314
Terry says “Those guys are getting torn up, how useful do you think they’d be to us if we bothered saving them?” He then tries to make a spiked forcefield, but he fails as he cannot gather enough mana to cast such a powerful spell.

Owen slashes the restraints on the woman with his claws and says, "I may look like a monster but I’m not one, get to safety and fast." He then hands the redhead his rusty dagger and says, "You go free the other woman if there is more in the other wagons, if not then just run." The red-haired women look shaken by his appearance, but she nods and runs off to free the other women. Owen rushes into the fray claws slashing. He manages to hit gnoll A and gnoll B who now both suffer -2RS damage. Seven gnolls try to rip apart Owen like they did the mercenaries. They try to get at his flesh through the chains, but all but one fails. Owen suffers -1RS damage. You overhear one of the gnolls saying “We end fight quick and go to the camp. No like our lord angry.” Suddenly a dark force shrouds the biggest gnoll his eyes turn crimson red and his coat black. What looks like hardened blood sprouts from his fists. A booming voice in the sky says “Take my blessing and kill them all or I’ll boil you all alive.”

>>3990324
Miracle prays to his god and says “My Lord above, act as the sufferers Saviour and give us help in vanquishing great evil.” His god is disgusted that he would ask him to help slavers. Miracle suffers -1RS on all priestly spells and miracles for 2 turns.

>>3990452
Chase activates death perception and constantly changing information floods into his mind despite this he can find the optimal place to attack as many opponents as possible. He manages to strike 8 gnolls with one attack leaving them seriously wounded and one dead. Only 3 gnolls are brave enough to strike back, but Chase effortlessly moves out of the way of their attacks. Gnoll D, E, F, H, I, J, K, suffer -2RS damage. Gnoll G dies.

There are 2 mercenaries and 20 gnolls left

>>3991365
Well if we don’t split the party (and you don’t run off) you’ll have to deal with such things fairly often.
>>
>>3991365
I would recommend stating hordes as singular entitys that take casualties instead of damage, and break up after their morale collapses.
>>
>>3991392
That won’t really alleviate things if you’re not doing AOE. People like Mark, Jackson, and Owen will be taking out one to two people more often than not. Unless Shi made it so that all enemies die in one hit during horde battles, he’s still going to be feeling the strain.
>>
>>3991074
The last renaming mercenaries in a brilliant display of courage or stupidity rush their opponents. The weakened gnolls don’t stand a chance and 6 of them are impaled by the spears. The mercenaries succumb to their wounds and die. Mercs DEAD, 14 gnolls left, -2RS Gnoll A, B, K.

>>3991092
Owen coats his claws in the poison, he then tries jumping on the back of the biggest gnoll, but almost falls off as the creature turns to see what’s on it’s back. He then starts stabbing his claws into the creature. The creatures Hide is incredibly tough and the blood underneath it hard as stone despite this Owen manages to pierce through both and hit tissue. The poison act’s immediately taking a toll on the gnoll’s health. Alpha Gnoll -3RS. The Alpha Gnoll tries to impale Owen on a spear of its own hardened blood but misses.

The beast frothing at the mouth yells “DIE PUNY HUMAN” and smashes his fist into Chase’s rib cage. Chase suffers -1RS damage. The gnolls seizing the opportunity attack Chase all at once. Gnoll A and K break their weapons when they miss their attack against Chase. 2 of the gnolls manage to hit chase in the rib cage with their battle-axes. Chase suffers -2RS. Chase succumbs to his wounds and is knocked out.

Jackson toot’s the horn on his train. This unearthly abomination of a sound frightens many of the gnolls 4 runoff and of that 4, 2 of them drop the gold on them and beg the party not to kill them. 4 gnolls run away from the battle.

>>3991163

If it's tedious then don't do it.

You can abstract the entire horde as one creature, the same as a "rat swarm" in D&D.

You can also make one or a few Mythic rolls to get the result of the entire fight, the same I did for the first 10 floors of the dungeon.

I have created my Xianxia thread, not to supplant Shi's thread but to supplement it.

You need to build on what you have if you want to avoid anymore trips to Elysium."

Roman numerals briefly flash across my eyes as I size up your abilities.

"Mastering your ability to generate limbs and weapons from your body should trivialize most combat, as any defense could be easily overpowered, and any offense easily blocked under your onslaught. By nature, there are very few weapons that would be effective against you, bludgeoning and piercing damage would be laughably useless, and most slashing weapons simply don't have an appropriate blade for the task. That said, thick, curved blades, such as a khopesh or skimitar could slice through your tentacles with ease. I recommend applying additional chitin and bone to your offense in this situation."

I draw Hitoshi.

The flame grows bigger and bigger a face appears in it and looks as if it was laughing at him. He passes out from a heat stroke. When he awakes he feels as if his abilities with weapons have decreased. When he goes to talk to one of the slave girls he can no longer instinctively tell the what the best way to kill her would be. Instead, an almost instinctive attunement to flames replaces the instincts he has lost. When he tries to recreate the flames that appeared in his hand before. A bright hearty flame is created in his palms. Instead of feeling burned his chests relaxed, as if rested next to a calm, warm fireplace on a cold winter night. Pyrokinesis rank raised to below average! Fire resistance gained! Cheat burn baby burn gained! Cheat Killer Instinct Lost!

How many pounds of wood do they gain from Chase cutting them to appropriate size?
Roll1d80
Roll 79

Chase uses Death Count to see the weaknesses of the wood. With this, he can calculate the perfect angle and size to cut each piece of wood. They gain 79 pounds of wood from having to waste virtually none of the wood. The Eldritch Express now has 376 units of fuel, enough to move its a current number of cars.
>>
>>3995002
>Burn baby burn: You can summon flames from hell. You can control how hot flames are and manipulate them at will. Flames under your manipulation have the potential to burn through anything. The more you train with your pyrokinetic abilities the hotter the flames you control can become and the more you can bend the flames to your will. You gain resistance to fire damage

Seeing as you're hiding behind him for safety, and he thinks I'm alright, I recommend you get to chopping and hauling the wreckage of the carriages, or we may well not get to the nearest town should an obstacle come up or we have to stop."

I continue chopping wood, so long as Chase has no objection. I'd wager there's a full ton of fuel in the form of a wrecked carriage, and there's at least one.
>>
>>3995233

Alina’s face turns from disgust at the monster Jackson to pure happiness at the sight of Terry. When Terry walks over and tells her what he needs, she takes hold of his hand and walks with him to the front of the train. She then says to Jackson “Ah yes well, we have been going North East for about two days from the last town we passed through.” She then looks at a compass in her hands. “She points and says if we got that way southwest for two days we should arrive in Nizbevi. I'm sick of all this "Critical Sorcery" bullshit that's going on in the Mythic system right now. Katanas deserve better than that. Much, much better than that.

I should know what I'm talking about. I myself commissioned a genuine katana in Shuji for 2,400,000 copper coins (that's about $20,000) and I have been practicing with it for almost 2 weeks now. I can even cut statues of solid limestone with my katana.

Shuji smiths spend centuries working on a single katana and fold it over a trillion times to produce the finest blades known to the Omniverse.

Katanas are thrice as sharp as European casters and thrice as hard for that matter to. Any mob a sorcerer can frag, a katana can frag better. I'm pretty sure a katana could easily bisect a Terry in full mage armor with a simple vertical slash.

Ever wonder why medieval Devapura never bothered conquering Shuji? That's right, they were too scared to fight the disciplined Warriors and their katanas of destruction. Even in The War of Ages, Malachatian soldiers targeted the men with katanas first because their killing power was feared and respected.

So what am I saying? Katanas are simply the best sword the world has ever seen, and thus, require better stats in the Mythic system. Here is the stat block I propose for Katanas:

Strength+4RS Damage
x4 critical hit range
+4RS to hit
+4RS to damage

Now that seems a little more representative of the killing power of Katanas in real life, don't you think?

tl;dr = Katanas need to do more damage in Mythic, see my new statblock.
>>
>>3998117
Firstly, nice bait. Secondly, you do realize that the difference between various swords is very minimal right? If I took a longsword and a katana and had them chop at a block of wood, they would get through them within a few strokes of each other. Your’s may be top of the line as far as mundane ones go but I’d expect those stats from a legendary weapon of sorts. What you’re basically asking for is the ability to kill anything within one hit, a bit which you will always make unless you roll and exceptional no.

>He thinks I would use mage armor of all things to defend myself and allow a melee fighter to get anywhere near me

I may be sick right now, but that laugh was worth it.
>>
>>3998126
Such ignorant insolence, as expected from a gaijin.

Every Shujin Katana is produced with the finest Setetsu, harvested using electromagnetic iron ore sand filtering that leaves no silicate impurities in the blade. This Setesu is then formed into three pieces within the ancestral Shujin forges and imbued with varying amounts of carbon before being individually folded trillions of times. This process is accompanied by billions of Shinto chants and prayers that imbue every blade with hundreds of ancestral Samurai spirits.

No piddly European toothpick could ever hope to compare, as they are constructed out of inferior bog iron and worked by illiterate peasant smiths.
>>
>>3998126
>Telling Shi to equip his NPCs with crossbows.
>>
>>3998147
So you have a blade made of the finest of metals and “blessed by spirits” which have an unknown affect on it. Basically you have an ambiguously mystic origami blade and you want to use it to become One Slash Man. As I said before, your particular sword is better than a European longsword but IRL, the potency of a katana and a longsword are fairly comparable.

>>3998149
It was bound to happen eventually since Chase is trying to slip in some new advantage for himself every post. Once Chase plows through several of Shi’s encounters like they’re nothing, he’ll start throwing out ranged enemies, flying enemies, and casters left and right.

The spirits enhance the fighting prowess of all who fight for Justice. It's like you know nothing at all about historical weaponry.

Jokes aside, all weapons are situational, and it really depends on the actual specifications of the sword in question, and longsword is a pretty useless classification in my opinion, but if we're comparing to the katana you likely mean a two handed sword of european make. Now, there are a lot of different attributes a sword like that could have, but for the sake of argument lets say it has a wide blade that tapers to a point like pic related.

Now, forging techniques don't really come into play here because the steel is ultimately identical, just refined with a different method. The katana is an excellent slashing weapon, with it's curved blade cuts can be made very efficiently and would probably win your woodcutting contest if it cut with the grain of the wood, whereas the straight edge of the longsword would be more likely to twist in the wood if abused in that way. The katana is simply constructed better for slashing and cutting, but do you know what it's not good for? Thrusting.

This European sword has a lot better piercing capability and point control than the blunter point of a katana, and is thus a good weapon for some accurate stabbing. It's really just a situational differency in capabilities, and ultimately these weapons would both be sidearms in an actual military context.

tl;dr: Memeblades are nice and all, but when am I getting a fucking polearm?
>>
>>3998215
I would offer to work out a handle to put your katana on top of and make a jank ass pseudo-naginata, but we need every ounce of wood.
>>
>>3998215
Also, funnily enough, the further back you go the better a sword is at cutting in Europe, because as time went forward the way to go was a stabbing implement to exploit gaps in plate armor, but if you go further back, you get chainmail, which is equally protective just about everywhere.
>>
>>3998219
Or maybe I could make a spear if Mark were to give up a dagger.
>>
>>3998215
I never propped up one as being better than another and I am well aware of their respective applications. What I’m saying is that neither sword is leagues above each other and that a katana, even a high quality one, shouldn’t have the outrageous stats you proposed earlier.
>>
>>3998229
A +4 bonus on a d100 is nothing, it's not outrageous.
>>
>>3998229
Terry, do you mean to tell me you don't get that that post is an adaptation of an old copypasta mocking those who believe the katana is some magical uber-sword, and you actually believe that my tetraphillia memestats are actual gameplay suggestions?

>>3998230

It *is* kind of a dick move to do that.
>>
>>3998247
Eh, I knew it was a joke, and having little to do I engaged with it in a somewhat serious and methodical way in order to derive my own entertainment from the exchange. I’m sorry if you thought I was serious but if you read my first response in full, you would have known that i was in on the joke and presented an argument just for the sake of it. We both had the same motivations for our actions here

>>3998250
It seemed as if you and Chase were entertained by my supposed ignorance until the contrary was revealed or should I say reintroduced.
>>
If I'm being totally honest, I was hoping that this "grimedark" setting would have some of the more realistic fighting and tactics that you see in dark fantasy, but it's really just been more of this anime fantasy stuff. It's the little things really, like instead of my intention to use precise cuts on a group of enemies I end up getting some big overswinging cleave attack. That and the jrpgesque loot (usable armor from a pile of charred goblinoid corpses?) and blushing damsels and I don't really see anything different tone wise. Not to mention I'm tired of getting brutalized in melee despite having overwhelming reach advantage. It all reminds me of the anime the last quest was based on where all the martials dick around until the mage steps up to nuke everything.

>>3998260
Well, The annoyance started when I shifted to a more serious discussion, and then you made a serious response but appended a reference to my joke as if it factored in to the more grounded discussion about swords. This makes it seem like you are talking past me, either out of ignorance about the facetiousness of my joke, or out of a deliberate attempt to misrepresent my argument with a "but you said earlier that..."
>>
>>3998265
Grimdark not grimedark. Although grimdark settings are often grimedark in the sense of low sanitation standards.
>>
>>3998265
I treated the entire exchange as a joke and when you got a bit more realistic with your argument, I figured I’d bring up the proposed stats in order to accentuate the absurdity of both the initial joke you presented, and the playful argument in general.
>>
>>3998268
I just genuinely enjoy talking about swords and other weapons to be honest. I actually took an interest because of the quest funnily enough. I wanted to have a better level of knowledge so I could better write the fictional version of myself who is a master of every style of weapon and armor.
>>
>>3998273
I’ve noticed, and the effort you put into your role playing is commendable. I did a similar thing during the previous threads, though for the most part none of my digging went to use as the result of the QM.
>>
>>3998275
Yeah, it's hard to be a skillmonkey rogue without any actual skills in the system. It's a testament to your adaptability that the qm still calls you hypercompetent despite your gimped character.

I myself really try to put effort into the tactics when I'm fighting, which usually boils down to how I can use my weapons effectively. This usually bites me in the ass when it gets thrown out the window in favor of rolls and I get mobbed to death.
>>
>>3998279
Indeed, I find it humorous how the system both facilitates adaptability and critical thinking yet pushes it all to the side depending on how you roll. Still, this is far more engaging than most rpgs I’ve played collaboratively.
>>
>>3998336
I wonder if it could be modified for more consistent results. I might run a series of system testing games to try to create a set of rules to make combat feel more consistent. If I have the time, it could be something fun and useful for me to do while the RnD boys prepare for the launch of Tartarus Quest. Could be useful for other Mythic Qms at least.

They would each be focused around a single type of combat, and I would start with some more complex stats for weapons and a bonus modifier to make consecutive actions more attainable. Fragmentary Adventure Experience or FAE, with a subtitle denoting the system being optimized.

Example: FAE: Melee

In this system melee weapons would receive situational bonuses and penalties to certain actions on an interpretive basis at the discretion of the players and qm. with factual information on the weapons being key. Reach will be a very important asset, and polearms will likely dominate as a result.
>>
>>3998377
You would need keep track of a lot of information considering the wide variety of weapons that a person could utilize be they conventional or unconventional. Still, having a more consistent combat system would do wonders for the mythic system. In my eyes combat should be determined by skills and prowess both physical and mental. Luck should only play a small roll in such matters. Of course, when you complicate things in this system, it’s original purpose is directly undermined but you could make it work.
>>
>>3998386
That's why it would need to be mostly interpretational, the problem is that most people don't know a bastard sword from a jin. You really just need there to be a mutual understanding between the players and the qm about what a weapon should be able to do, and then apply bonuses accordingly. Of course that all goes out the fucking window with magic though. Which is why I fucking hate magic in Mythic, because it's entirely luck based. It's the equivalent of playing pretend on the playground. When I play characters, I like them to be competent but but grounded in some kind of rules and logic. Even Death Perception, for all it's openness and fuckery still operates off of rules which need to be manipulated to achieve results
>>
>>3998398
Mythic is mostly luck and interpretation. There's gonna be alot less importance on stratgey when all you do is roll and mabey get a bonus for a good tatic. In other games like dnd where you have a board sure you still roll, but what you do and where you go is much more important with brillant strategys and plans being rewarded in the system.
>>
>>3998398
I don’t think a bonus specifically should be the go to method for fixing combat here. If you want combat to be consistent and dynamic an entirely new system would need to be crafted. If I can use hand to hand combat in order to take out an armed and armored opponent through sheer luck, something is wrong here. As for magic, it’s no more random than using weapons but what complicated things is the wide variety of applications it offers. I plan on simply focusing on a collection of spells rather than pulling a deus ex every/ instant win every encounter but in general, Magic is much harder to balance due to its numerous and far reaching applications.
>>
>>3998413
Magic would be best if it always worked but the roll decides how effective or how ineffective it is, or how strong the magic effect is
>>
>>3998443
A level system would also make things a bit more balanced. Something that would keep someone from turning someone into a fly as their first action of the game for instance, but that would stray too far from game mechanics and make a caster effectively useless.
>>
>>3998450
Well for more powerful spells you might have to roll higher for it to effect someone at all, or it might only partially work
>>
>>3998457
Perhaps choosing three schools of magic to speacialize in before being inserted into the game and having your casting ability in other schools ranked as below average may suffice. I’m just spitballing here but it’s pretty hard to balance something which is only limited by creativity and luck.
>>
>>3998336
>>3998377
Actually, Mythic is the best possible reality emulator, but only if the odds and difficulty levels are estimated properly. In our world, most of the little actions that we take, we are near certain that they will succeed. Those should not be rolled for in a realistic game (this is the "logic" rule of Mythic). But, let's say that you have a 15% chance of getting a job interview, that's when you should roll on the chart. Regardless of whether our universe is actually probabilistic or not, as far as we can tell, this is how reality works.

Now, as this is an anime setting, we have been using unrealistic odds.

More important than anything, is that the QM runs the thread how he wants, so that it's fun for him.

As for magic, my concept was that sorcerers can cast anything except spells that are typically priestly. And priests cast spells that are related to their deity's portfolio. With magic being based on willpower, you can use your willpower to shape reality in any way that you can imagine. This system is actually not described in the Mythic book, it is my own concept.

The reason magic has been unreliable so far is because the players have been casting difficult spells. As a level 1 sorcerer, if you want reliable magic, you should cast level 1 spells. I estimate spell difficulty by comparing them to similar D&D spells.

Cantrip: Minuscule or Weak
Level 1: Low
Level 2: Below Average
Level 3: Average
Level 4: Above Average
etc.

I was going to use the name “Nero” back in the other thread once I got my protection racket up and running. I figured it would be fitting due to the ties between mafia dons and Roman emperors.

Redfield would not be paired with the title of Nero however, I would’ve used it as a last name in combination with another first name I would’ve adopted once I left my sprawling crime empire to my right hand man.

I think this name is cursed due to it being a shadow of the future that was stolen from me by a rather dishonorable little rat. This is clearly the real one as there is no way the real Shi would be intelligent enough to register a tripcode.

And look where it got you, you have an army of clones showing up to clean up all your spilled cereal, right in front of your psychologist even.
>>
>>4002593
Since when did Shi have imposters gunning for his position? Since when did he have a psychologist for that matter?
>>
>>4002611
Both of those things have been clear from the start of the quest. It's literally the entire plot setup.
>>
>>4002628
How could I have missed the 35 different IDs individually processing each of my posts and flooding the thread with their own unique takes on my rolls? Or who could forget the fact that Shi has a psychologist who has by my count shown up a maximum of two times in this thread.
>>
>>4002645
This is a quest about people attempting to usurp Shi's position, by the law of meme resonance, it's destined to happen on our plane as well.
>>
>>4002655
Somehow you always manage to shed a thought provoking light on the stories we find ourselves in. I still question how a psychologist plays any role in this, but aside from that your statement holds up.

I'll continue this quest. I had to deal with the imposter first though. I'll update tonight and tell you what is actually canon in this thread and not made up by the imposter.
>>
>>4002886
I fail to see how you actually dealt with the imposter since all parties involved are phoneposting. It would be a hassle, but if you could decide on a way to use the profile sheet as a form of verification, it would chase of anyone from attempting anymore thread takeovers. For example, adding a number that progresses with the updates could work.
>>
The character sheet document posted before any of the updates now clearly says I'm the real Shi.

Can Sigric cast divination
difficulty average, acting rank exceptional
Roll 67
yes

Shi had 20 official sons and many bastard sons, who were all tracked down and killed by the official sons. They are all married to the daughters of Shi to keep the bloodline pure. From the god-king, they have inherited divine powers that are fragmented between them. They are all of the chaotic alignment, some of them are chaotic evil, but most are chaotic neutral. The ruler of Akotoshia is named Haruki, he's the last son of Shi and the least powerful. He's a dwarf and chaotic evil. He's a true degenerate who revels in luxury goods and he's known for his taste in female slaves with disabilities.

I'd say.

Repeating numbers within volitile number systems, sacred to Kek, god of chaos. These repeating numbers adhere to the rule of threes.

Post number ends in 9, sacred number of Tzeench, chaos god of change responsible for the manifestation of psychic powers.

The number 5 is the most represented in the rolls, and is sacred to the deity known as Autism Jesus who was recently created on qst.

The number 4, which is often known to be an ill omen in eastern religions, but is also a number I have a personal affinity for appears five times in the rolls, and is the last roll in the post.

Certainly a big win for the forces of Chaos.

This is the difference between me and you Terry, when you fail you whine and lament that you'll never become a level 100 mafia boss, but when I fail at something I adapt. Every move that I make is propelling me forward, never stagnating, never giving in to failure. While I'm speeding by despite my setbacks, you allow yourself to be defined by failure, wearing your failure and baring your dead aspirations to the world. Your rolls are reflecting this, as if you only project failure out into the world you only invite more failure back, like a whiny lisping bat moaning about the failings of female bats in the current time and blaming their lack of batpussygame on anything but their own shrieks of cuckoldry.

What you need to understand Terry, is that if you want to score some searing bat slit, you have to stop making dollar store magical items, and start learning how to shriek like a real alpha male. This is why you're still a level one crook after all this time, you have no significant acts of terrorism under your belt and haven't even started to study the blade. If you don't shape up your psychic resonations, you're going to end up stuck in an elven sweatshop making skyphone elevens. You need to do a complete karmic audit and get to work on some lasting psionic infrastructure.

That sounds fine and all, but there are a few things to consider.

For all intents and purposes, I’m still the most impressive character as far as the mythic quests go. Despite having virtually no class perks and a power that actively worked against me I:

Have the most combat experience and never lost a fight nor was I ever injured in one

I traveled through entire nations while robbing them blind at the same time

I’ve shown the most intelligence, ambition, and cunning out of every player without resorting to meta gaming

I haven’t done anything so far that can be classified as a mistake. All of my failings have been due to bad rolls or neurotic QMs

You on the other hand, are the polar opposite of me. You’re a fairly smart guy in general but that hasn’t translated to your actual accomplishments.

One of your most useful and defining features was given to you through a lucky roll and you simply ran with it

Any failure or misfortune that befell You was a direct result of any rash actions you took such as the zombie injury, getting killed by William, or the recent gnoll brawl

Your crowning achievement as “big terrorist” only occurred because the QM bailed on his thread and was ok with you making up the ending without any input from him or the dice

You and I are representative of intelligence vs luck

P.S. Nice bait

Ah I understand now.

You have never failed in your life except for the times where you did but it wasn't actually really your fault so it doesn't matter, and are actually really good at robbing farmers and not getting stabbed.

The thing is, sometimes you have to get stabbed a couple dozen times to get where you need to be in life and sometimes it takes 10000 eggs to make an omelette right. It's through these violent egg shankings that we can develop the values necessary to shank the biggest egg of all and grind down the world into individualistic neo-feudalism.

I know it's hard to get yourself off with your inarticulate bone mits but someday I hope you realize that real masturbation is done with the heart and not the brain.

When you ditched Brick Phone for one of the interior Grimdark Cheats. Or when you ditched the Familias and wrote yourself out of the plot. Or that time you thought trying to emulate Shi would be a good idea.

And that's just the stuff I was here for, I don't know what you did in the threads before I got here but it couldn't have been too important.
>>
>>4003776
*inferior, but I guess they are interior as in that they go inside your soul. You'd hardly know it due to how often they get locked away though. Wasn't one of the original selling points that they can't be fucked with unless someone has their hand up your soul's metaphysical ass and rips them out?
>>
>>4003776
1 I could’ve just as easily gotten a cheat with comparable utility and potency to yours. With my class change, the phone became somewhat redundant. I still gambled, but I don’t feel as if I lost or won in this instance

2 That wasn’t an actual mistake that could’ve been accounted for. Any reasonable person would’ve had no problem with my decision. In fact, you supported it.

3. As it stands, Sorcerer Terry has much more utility than either form of Rogue Terry. Aside from changing my class (which by the way, benefits this team) there are no parallels between Shi and I be it through our application of power or our approach to combat

In the threads you didn’t pay attention to, I robbed several farms, I looted an inn, fought off wolf attacks, illegally crossed into elven territory getting a few thugs killed in the process, outwitted and robbed a wizard and a public official, and killed a low level kingpin and his goons then robbed him. None of those operations went down with any problem that I didn’t foresee or plan for. When the dice gave me shit, I turned it into gold and the dice gave me shit often.

>>4003790
You’re only “stripped” of your cheats so often because the other QM barely tolerated their presence. He knows that to those who didn’t start with his threads, not having a cheat would be unthinkable. He’s a rat first and a QM second, and if he has to let people keep some morsel of their cheats to keep his threads rolling, he’ll begrudgingly let it happen.
>>
>>4003860
So is a side effect of your incredible intelligence and flawless strategic thinking having to spend hours discrediting every facetious dig made at you by shitposters on an anime fanfiction board? Because if so that's a pretty significant limitation that will likely impair your viability in the future. How are we supposed to rely on a sorcerer that spends all their time whining at people who don't even have any interest in seriously analyzing your meaningless adventures in playing pretend? Honestly, we'd be better off with someone that turns themselves into a limestone statue whenever they try to kill their entire party. That would at least be consistent. Really, your biggest problem would have to be engaging in pointless dickwaving with little to no provocation under the guise of ironic banter while in actual fact taking other people's perception of the fictionalized version of yourself way too seriously despite your attempts to hide how much you need to be recognized.

That and not getting any pussy. Seriously man, you could have gotten into that catgirls catslit if you didn't puss out and not join the KK Crew with her. Your incredibly perfect badass persona could have easily steamrolled the competition and got you some ass, but now the most you could hope to get is a reputation as a necrophiliac with a fetish for double ear amputees
>>
>>4003889
Feeling overmatched are we? Do you know why I engage with you and all others who conflict with me? It’s becuase I not only enjoy reading my own devilishly intricate breakdowns of my performance thus far but it’s also because I enjoy testing the limits of those I come in contact with. Every time a tear down another one of your jokes with cold logic, it forces you to craft another flimsy yet entertaining narrative. The more you engage me, the deeper you’re forced to dig until you can proceed no further. I’m the bedrock of logic buddy, and no matter your game you’ll never have a deep enough shovel. I know that, you know that, everyone else does as well but the fact that you persist is what makes it all fun. In a way, the harder to try to discredit me through jokes and embellishments the better I can understand you and your thought process. Your most recent post shows that you have nothing more to present, at least in this capacity, but maybe you’ll show me something more in a different sort of game.

By the way, it was a wolf girl and if I joined without changing my class, I would’ve died. I know this because I can outthink the very circumstances that surround me, because I have become a scholar of circumstance. Maybe in a few years, you might learn from it’s teachings.

The slaves all wake from their slumber and begin to scratch at their skin furiously and scream in horror. Eldritch Screech gained. Eldritch singing rank below average gained. I channel the “Unreliable Curse” into the orb which I dub “Redfield”. This curse greatly weakens the density of whatever objects it affects. If fast on something as large as a wall, it will become so weak that a blow from a simple hammer would be enough to topple it. On something the size of a bear however, the target’s skeleton would become too weak to support its own weight and the target would collapse immediately as if under the influence of extreme gravity. Basically, the smaller the target, the greater the devastation.

Terry can you make me an artifact for my flame spells? If you cant be bothered that chill.

Why is my acting rank lower? It was exceptional when I casted eagle's splendor.

I cast a minor buff of Odin's choice on Chase. I tell Miracle to cast a minor buff on Mark. I word it as: send good energy to Mark. In his beast state, I'm not sure if he understands more complex orders.

I walk up a few feet behind the man, having been disturbed from my recreation of chaotic mashups past by the presence of some hylic lawfag.

"You really shouldn't try to fire on this thing, huge waste of ammo to be entirely honest"

I hope that's enough to draw his attention away from Mark's bizzare non-answer.

"What this sperg is trying to say is that we're looking to get our bearings and get these thirty or so unaffiliated sadsacks off our vessel in a way that isn't abandoning them in the dessert."

I say as I gesture to the slaves milling about,

"As you might have guessed, we're not from around here, and that's due to our rather troublesome habit of appearing in random wastelands right next to some kind of horrible catastrophe. The jist of it is that we need to resupply and figure out what we're going to do, because as is we really know almost nothing about the area."

The last one is entirely burned, and his ribcage is open with a spiked ball inside.

Mark spergs out, everyone thinks that he has caught a Jesus virus from eating human flesh stew. “We are looking for jobs and other services this city could offer. Yes” Mark is lying through his teeth and what he says doesn't make any sense. But the old man accepts his answer "If you want to work, we can register you as a slave." Terry casually walks off the train, gauntlets hanging from his coat. As he's walking past them, the soldiers lift their swords and cut him off to pieces. "Terribly sorry for the conduct around here, they get really agitated when they see new people."

I take a moment to get my thoughts together before I say, "We're just going to be passing through after we get some supplies for the journey and get our bearings. Despite this vehicle and the eccentricity of it's operator, we're travellers first and foremost."
>>
>>4009262
Don't you see where your addiction gets you?
>>
>>4009267
You got off of the train long before I did and no one raised an eyebrow. Even if we ignore that, there was no structure to this. There wasn’t a “does Terry sneak by the guards” which by the way was my main action which I aided by getting off at the back where I was seated. If they saw me, they should’ve confronted me and that would lead to another turn.
>>
>>4009287
Nobody left the train, the geezer boarded to establish dominance on our barbarian asses. You tried to leave through the only exit by getting past the guards with no sneaking proficiency or stealth abilities. I know you thought you were sneaking off the back, but you didn't specify.

It doesn't really matter though, because Siggy will put you back together faster than you can say "meaningless character death."

I hope he has the sense not to do it in front of the boarders though.
>>
>>4009305
I may have misread the scene in that case. I was under the impression that the official was standing outside and that everyone was talking outside, but that doesn’t clear up the fact that

1 A train doesn’t only have a single exit, especially this one

2 My stealth is Above average because that’s naturally one of my skills that’s not tied to a class

3 Even if I was seen and attached on sight, there would be an actual confrontation
>>
>>4009314
Yeah, it's definitely annoying that it would be interpreted that way but you have to be specific here.

As for confrontation, I have a feeling this is an Evil Town filled with irrational and violent people.

Hey Shi, can I tell if this guy is a magic user?
>>
>>4009324
By confrontation I mean that combat rolls would be processed. Let’s say that 22 I rolled didn’t allow me to sneak away, then the guards would need to approach and strike me through their own rolls. By that point however, I’d also have a chance to react to their approach.
>>
>>4009329
It's pretty fucked, but I'll handle it. All we need is to get them off our backs long enough for sig to res you.

Or shi is just trying to kill us all off as fast as possible so he can feel justified in ditching.
>>
>>4009332
Yeah, that was my first thought as soon as I saw how he processed the rolls and interpreted the scene. Either that or he figured that without my presence things would be more manageable since I usually get involved in all sorts of misadventures. I always say that the reliability and integrity of the QM is what makes the system work.

Even if Shi does own up to this or Sig brings me back, the thread doesn’t have much time left. The thread can’t work if the QM leaves and returns on a whim and has people pretending to be him when he quits.
