It has been a decade since the last Lords of the Sith fell at the Battle of Endor, truly signalling the end of the Galactic Empire that held a tyrannical grip on the Galaxy for decades. Although it took several more years for the Empire to truly capitulate, it seems that, for now, the Galactic Civil War is well and truly over. However, that does not mean all is well within the Galaxy as the order established in the Republican Senate is under threat by multiple rival political factions, large swathes of space in the Outer Rim are still under the control of the treacherous Hutt Cartels, and perhaps most importantly, the New Republic is less defended than the Empire, without the Inquisitorius the Empire had, or the Jedi Order that the Old Republic had before them.

That task is given to Luke Skywalker, who, despite avoiding Republican politics since the end of the Rebellion, sets out to start his new Jedi Order, building a temple on the Moon of Endor where his father and Emperor Palpatine fell. This becomes known as the Jedi Praxeum, and after years of construction and gathering other Jedi to join his Order, now, finally, Luke Skywalker is ready to open his new Jedi Academy. He sends his chosen Jedi out to find twelve force sensitive pupils to teach, the first true students of the Jedi Praxeum. You just so happen to be among those twelve.

> This is a Star Wars quest, set in the New Republic era, ten years after the end of the Original Trilogy.
> You will play as a new recruit to Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Academy, with a lot of inspiration taken from the Jedi Knight Games, especially Jedi Academy.
> The plan is to mix elements of both Legends and NuCanon, taking the good parts from each (which means something like 50% of legends, 10% of NuCanon and 40% shit I’ve made up.)

Skywalker’s chosen searched every corner of the New Republic in search of force-sensitive candidates for training. Unlike the Old Jedi Order, however, they searched for force-sensitives older in age, teenagers and young adults that could make their own decisions, akin to Luke’s own training at the hands of the Grand Master Yoda. This meant the students found for the Academy were all going to be from vastly different origins and from all different corners of the galaxy.

>Miraluka male

The Miraluka have long been known throughout the galaxy for their connection to the force, a connection greater than almost any other creatures in the galaxy. However, during the Great Jedi Purge and the rise of the Galactic Empire, that connection was turned against the Miraluka, with the Empire persecuting and targetting them en masse, regardless of being involved with the Jedi or not.

After the Empire fell, your way of life was shattered. Like many Inquisitors that avoided apprehension by the New Republic, you spent some time serving Ysanne Isard, after she declared herself Empress, but ever since her New Empire was shut down by Republic forces, you've wandered the Outer World, ironically living a life akin to those you hunted years ago.

>Your parents were survivors of the Jedi Purge, and spent the years since avoiding Imperial Inquisitors, never spending much time in one place. As such, you never knew your homeworld, and in fact, no world ever truly served as a homeworld. Your childhood was spent in a series of space-stations, shuttle bays, and different ships. That was until, eventually, the Inquisitors caught up to your family. You managed to survive, but ever since, you've been alone in the world, wandering from spaceport to spaceport.

>You were born on Alpheridies, and your parents were ordinary farmers. Although your mother had been mildly force-sensitive, she had never attempted to join the Jedi, instead preferring a humble life. However, the Empire put your family to work on Imperial camps, where you were seperated from your mother. You've never seen her since, and your father died of exhaustion only a year or two later. The camps were shut down after Republic forces took the planet, but orphaned and with no possessions in the world, you've still been struggling to live ever since.

Unfortunately, they both died at the Battle of Hoth, only a few years before their homeworld was finally free. Never having known a world without conflict, and with no guidance in your life, you have been left without a purpose in the peace of the New Republic.

>Inquisitorius
>[Inquisitor's Robes acquired]
>[Inquisitor's Lightsaber acquired]

Although you'd spent your whole life training to be an Inquisitor, you were only fully allowed to become one years after the decline of the organization and the deaths of Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine, meaning the standards had fallen far from the feared Inquisitorius that had once been. It wasn't helped that by that point the Empire was fighting a Galactic scale losing battle. Soon, the Empire had fallen, and when Isard had announced herself the new Empress, she'd barely even assembled her new Inquisitorius before she was killed at the Battle of Taris. It had been years since you'd recieved the news that the Empire had well and truly fallen, and you've already mourned it. Now, you were more focused on surviving. The Republic was focused on ensuring the Empire never took root in the Galaxy again, and you knew plenty of your former brethern that had gotten themselves thrown in a cell in Coruscant or gotten themselves killed just because they were careless, or tried to label themselves a warlord.

No, you were attempting to live a simple life. You've been bouncing around the Outer Rim for a while now, and recently you've entered Hutt Cartel space. Although most would be wary entering Nar Shaddaa, knowing that the Republic almost never patrols Hutt space gives you quite a lot of comfort. It's the perfect place to disappear. You can work on a shipyard, or some other job that doesn't attract much attention and make a decent living for yourself. Who cares if the Hutt lords get a chunk out of your paycheck? If it means space between you and the Republic, it might well be worth it. You've only been in Nar Shaddaa for a few days, you bought a hotel room for the week, but you don't have the credits to stay beyond that, so you'll need to find some way to make money before then. For now though, you still have time to enjoy the comfort afforded to you by the sovereignty of Hutt space.

You think back to your time at the Inquisitorius, although your training was lacking compared to those that came before you, there was one element you excelled in while training.

>Force Support

Although never particularly skilled in offensive matters, you excelled when it came to utilizing the Force in other ways. Through meditation, you can see and sense more with the Force than any other species can with their eyes, and the Force flows through your body well, allowing for you to both heal and drain life energy from people easier, as well as utilize basic kinetic abilities like Force Push and Pull more efficiently. However, when it comes towards active combat, you are less adept.

You snap yourself out of your reminiscing. There's a decent likelihood you'll never engage in combat for the rest of your life, so remembering all your Inquisitorius training isn't exactly going to be useful at the moment. No, instead you should probably start looking for some way to make consistent credits. At the very least so that you can be comforted by the fact that you have a place to sleep.

The only problem is that Nar Shaddaa is a very large, very crowded city. If you wanted a decent, honest line of work, the Spaceport is always busy, and will probably be hiring, but that involves seeing a lot of faces, which puts you in some risk. You could ask around for work, and depending on which area of the city, you'll probably get different options. Finally, of course, there's the Hutts that control the planet. It's dangerous, and almost certainly not going to be legal, but it's probably going to be the only way you make serious amounts of credits any time soon.

>Write-in (Work as a healer)
Although you ponder through the obvious options for your occupation while on Nar Shaddaa, suddenly the thought comes to you, you can utilize your force abilities and talents to work as a healer. You've witnessed more than a few sick seeming people on the limited amounts of Nar Shaddaa you've explored so far, and with even just a basic knowledge of medicine someone could probably make money helping these people, with your talents with the force, you can probably make quite a decent change in these people's lives.

You spend the first half of your day getting the word out, paying off a few people with the last of your credits to spread the word of your business even further. You just have to hope they followed through on their end of the bargain, which, in Nar Shaddaa, is far from a given. As day begins to turn into night however, you start to worry that no one is coming, and you'll have to pursue another path, but eventually, you hear a knock at the door to your temporary residence.

Although with one hand reaching for your lightsaber, due to years of ingrained paranoia, you reach for the doorpanel. When the door slides open, you're met not by a Jedi, or a squad of Republic soldiers, but rather a Twi'lek woman, with a young child standing behind her, presumably hers. Both are dressed in shabby looking, well-worn rags, and the woman looks frightened and wary of you as you open the door. She pushes back her hood, and you notice that she would look beautiful, were it not for the rags she was in, and all the stress and worry that had carved away at her face.

"You are healer, yes?" She asks, in broken Galactic Common. "Cheap?"

>"Yes, I'm here to help."

You offer the woman some reassurance, and although her defensive barrier isn't lowered, she does seem grateful that someone is offering her some form of relief.

"Thank you so much!" She cries, wrapping her arms around you. "My son, it's my son. He is sick, but no one will help him."

The child standing behind her, a young twi'lek boy that barely looked old enough to speak simply stared at you sullenly. You can tell just from looking at the boy, he seems sickly. Who knows how bad this disease is, and if it is bad, how long the boy has left to live if it's left untreated. On the other hand, alarm bells are going off in your head. Why would no other doctor help these two?

>Inspect the boy's health (Success)

You take a closer look at the boy, crouching down in front of him and pressing your hand against his forehead. You reach out through the force, trying to sense whatever is wrong in his body, and whatever the source of it might be. There's clearly something wrong, but it's been years since you've used the Force like this, and you're relatively out of practice. After a few moments, you adjust however, and the answers become more clear.

The child isn't sick, he's been poisoned. Some slow acting, subtle poison intended to be a slow, painful death that at first is indistinguishible from a common cold. The only question is, who would care to poison a child? Especially one who seems so, on the grand scale, meaningless. It's a relatively simple matter for you to heal, now that you've located the source of the damage, but should you, even?

> Heal the child without mentioning anything.

>Heal the child, then tell the mother about the poison.

You let the Force flow through you and into the child, most of the Inquisitors looked down on your for tapping into the light side like you did, but none refused your help in combat when it came down to it. After rooting out the poison and it's effects, deactivating them and healing the child, you stood up. It took a decently large exertion of energy to do that, and you feel somewhat unsteady as you return to your feet. You attempt not to show that too much as you turn back to the mother.

Pulling her aside so that she's out of earshot of her child, you look at her, hesitantly. "You know, your child wasn't sick."

She looks confused, looking between you and the boy. "What? You heal him, no?"

You nod, "I healed him, but it wasn't disease I was healing him of, it was poison. Do you have any idea about that?"

Based on the immediate reaction in her face, you don't think so. Reaching out in the force, it seems she's either genuine, or she's an incredibly well-trained liar. "No! God, my poor baby..."

Then, a hit of realization crosses her face. "Wait, no... it was..." She looks around the room, suddenly even more nervous.

"Sorry healer, I must leave, thank you for the healing." She says, before grabbing her child by the arm and starting to hurry out of your room.

You shout, and the Twi'lek woman stops suddenly. She turns, hurrying back towards you, rummaging through the pockets of her cloak, "Here, this good?" She asks, before shakily shoving two fifty credit chips into your hand.

It's more than fair, with how easy it was for you, and how poor she probably is, but a mother is willing to pay anything for her child. You nod, "We're good."

She turns to walk out the door and you call after her, "If you know anyone else that needs healing, send them to me." She turns, for a final time.

"What shall I call you, healer?"

>Raysh Vayzahk

You give your birth name to the woman, it feels odd to say it, since it must have been years since you last used it. You were born Raysh Vayzahk, but from an early age at the Inquisitorius, you were discouraged from using your name, even when in training. By the time you became an active Inquisitor, you were simply Nineteenth Brother, nothing more. Even after the fall of the Empire, you hadn't had reason to use a name, and the names you had used were usually taken from forged passes or stolen ID codes.

In a way, your birth name might be more secure for you to use, since you doubt many people will be searching for you under that name. After the woman and her child have left, you sit back on your bed. It's late, and you likely won't be getting anymore patients for the night, but if all goes well, that woman will spread the word about you, and you'll be able to make more credits tomorrow. For now, one-hundred credits isn't bad, and it gives you plenty for food tomorrow.

You settle down to sleep, drifting off feeling somewhat good about yourself. You saved that woman, even if you didn't exactly stick your neck too far out to do so, it still felt good to be a positive impact. Even better, you got paid doing so. Your last thoughts before falling asleep are that this might actually work out. You feel somewhat safe and secure for the first time in years.

Unfortunately, you're woken up by the sounds of the door to your room exploding in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XG--ULzPQHk

Disoriented and barely awake, you bolt out of bed, reaching out for your lightsaber instantly by instinct. As the smoke clears, a man steps into the room, dressed in heavy, expensive looking armor, with some sort of bandaging wrapped around his head, the man points a very large blaster at you. "You're the blind healer? You've been sticking your nose in Ka'Pa's business."

This is not how you wanted to wake up.

He's not weak minded enough that he'd fall for a mind trick but he's not stupid enough to die to some fuck up with little saber skill. Best to hit him with what we know and terrorize him with the fact that we could crush him with a flick of our wrist.

You have seconds to weigh up your options, but you decide you have the best chance at tricking him. You were always better at the more subtle, softer touches of the Force, and with the poor condition your lightsaver is in, you probably won't do well in a straight up fight with the guy. And, of course, surrendering isn't appealing since you have absolutely no way of knowing what he'd do to you.

You put your hands up, feigning surrender as you close your eyes and reach out with the Force. You can sense him, he's not a particularly strong-willed or guarded mind, you can influence him with the right exertion of the Force. "You have the wrong guy! I don't know what you're talking about!" You cry out, trying to keep a worried inflection as you focus on twisting the bounty hunter's thoughts.

You grab hold of his mind with the force, and you can tell he's clearly solely focused on fulfilling his mission. That makes it easy enough for you to manipulate the force and shift the target of that mission away from you, especially as you make his mind more susceptible to suggestion.

"Please, I'm just a tourist." You plead, and the bounty hunter stops, looking confused.

"I guess I have the wrong guy. You're just a tourist." He says, his eyes somewhat glazed over. As he returns to reality, he looks around, confused, his adrenaline and preparation for battle fading from his face. "My info must have been wrong..." he murmurs to himself, flicking through a datapad.

He turns back towards you, before tossing you a handful of credit chips. "This should cover the, uh... damages." He says gruffly, before storming out of the room. As soon as he's gone you start counting up the credits, which amount to seventy five added to the hundred you recieved yesterday. Still, this isn't exactly a permanent solution to this problem. Who knows how many bounty hunters this Ka'Pa guy hired, whoever he is.

Another matter is what exactly it was you did to piss off this Ka'Pa in the first place. You're not even certain who he is, so you couldn't have done anything too bad. Perhaps you can find someway to resolve all this peacefully.

As you're weighing up your options, another figure walks through the gaping hole that had once been your door. A figure draped entirely in pale white robes, with a hood pulled over their head hiding them from identification. They walk so slowly and softly you almost didn't notice them enter your room, despite the door being directly in your vision.

"Very impressive," a woman's voice speaks out softly, as the hooded figure turns towards you. You can just barely make out the face of what appears to be a female humanoid of some sort, with orange skin visible just beneath her hood.

>"Who are you?"

You ask the hooded woman apprehensively, your eyes trained on her, ready to react if she makes any sudden or aggressive moves. Instead, she just smiles at you, as if you just asked an incredibly stupid question, which is strange, because from your position, it seems like the most reasonable question one could possibly have.

"My name is Ahsoka Tano, I'm here on behalf of the Jedi Order. I sensed you as soon as I landed on this planet, and a bounty hunter just blew up your door and then walked out without harming you, so you're either extraordinarily charming, or you just used the Force."

You stare at her, attempting to gather any information or emotion from her stony expression that you can, but the hood makes it damn near impossible to make out any of her features in any decent detail. But, you do notice that she just admits she's a Jedi, and doesn't seem to know who or what you actually are. She probably just thinks you're a helpless Force-sensitive with no idea what you're doing. Which, admittedly you do feel like sometimes. "So what if I did?" You shoot back, cautiously.

"You don't need to worry so much, I'm not here to hurt you. I'm here to offer you a spot at the Jedi Academy." She responds, stepping a bit closer.

I feel our boys got some trauma being an inauisitor and all. Y'all think he has like, safehouses? Vader had a load of castles, can't imagine that there weren't a few secret facilities people may have missed. That that might be the reason Luke wants us? Not for redemption but to get a crack at Sidious' stuff? Great character development here is the point.

>"Sorry, but no thanks. My...teachings don't allow me to associate with Jedi on good terms. Besides, I'm not one to oppress my emotions."

You measure out your words carefully. You're currently walking a very fine line here, you've never much enjoyed talking about your time as an Inquisitor, but the more you let on how little you like this situation, the less likely she is to leave. You breathe carefully, struggling to completely maintain your composure, both externally and internally, knowing fully well that if you started to panic or worry too much, there's a more than decent chance this Tano could sense it.

You're so focused on keeping your cool that you're shocked when the Jedi reacts with a smile, and by finally pulling her hood down, revealing her face. She's a Togruta woman, clearly an adult, but it seems difficult to determine her age beyond that. The way you see it, she could be anywhere from thirty to sixty, and you wouldn't be able to tell. "This might shock you, but I'm pretty much the same way." She offers with a smile.

You regard her suspiciously, but she continues. "I was a padawan during the Clone Wars, I was even taught by the man that would eventually become Darth Vader. I always struggled with controlling my emotions back then, and... the only reason I'm alive today is because my emotions lead me to leave the Jedi. When Luke came to me, I was skeptical of things myself, but he says the goal of this Academy is to learn from the mistakes of the old. I don't know what your teachings are, but they don't have to have to conflict with the Academy. We believe in second chances, so long as you're willing to walk the path of the Light Side."

You throw your lightsaber down on the ground in front of you, and judging on Ahsoka's expression, she recognizes the saber immediately on sight, but manages to stop herself from reacting too much externally. "That is what I am, that is why I can't associate with Jedi." You say, breaking the tense silence as you point at the saber on the ground, despite how much you've used it for protection over the years, somehow you feel safer and comfortable with distance between you and it. "All my life, all I've known is to hunt down people like you, I've never had any other option. How can I get a second chance?"

Ahsoka regards you closely, her sharp gaze seeming harsher than it had moments ago. Still, she shakes her head. "You're too young to have chosen this, you were never given any other option. Sometimes, all you need to walk the path of the Light is for someone to give you the opportunity, it's the failure of the old Jedi Order that meant you never had that opportunity, that's the failure we're trying to change." You can sense some hesitation and worry in her, but she seems more or less genuine, if not a little frightened at the knowledge of your past.

The Force tells you she's not lying or trying to decieve you, but you still struggle to put your guard down. Are you really ready to accept this chance? Can you really serve the Jedi Order? You once vowed your life to the Sith, but that does seem like a lifetime ago now.

We want to join, but we also want to meet the man in charge and see if he's up to the task and capable, you know? We've slain many jedi that were barely capable of fighting or using the force, and been involved in takedowns that required 3 or more inquisitors because of their power in the force or cunning and still failed to kill them on the first try, if at all. >Join the Jedi Academy for a second chance.

You ponder, hesitating before you're willing to commit. A part of you is still suspicious, but everything has been telling you that Ahsoka is telling you the truth. This is a real chance at a different life, giving you the opportunity to walk a different path. You were still worried about falling back to the Dark Side, but at the very least this way you can always say you tried the Jedi way. You nod, taking hold of Ahsoka's outstretched hand.

"I'm glad," she says, "Now, you should start packing up anything you need. It seems like you've pissed off a local Hutt lord, so you probably don't want to spend any more time than you have to here."

You hurriedly start packing up your belongings as Ahsoka steps outside the room. Can you really be a Jedi? It seems bizarre to you, but it doesn't seem like any other path in your life has been working out for you anyways. Gathering up all of your things doesn't take long, since you don't exactly travel very heavy. Really, the only essentials you have with you are your lightsaber and your credits.

After you've packed, you meet up with Ahsoka again outside your room. She looks at you, "You ready to go Raysh?" You nod back, and she starts leading you towards the Spaceport, where her ship is docked, purposefully avoiding taking any crowded or public routes as she does so. "Even though we're not actively being hunted, it's still better to avoid bringing much attention to the fact that we're Jedi, especially out her in the outer rim. People tend to be more superstitious about us, and some Hutts still have high bounties on Jedi heads."

Finally, after what seems like a labyrinth of poorly lit tunnels and awful-smelling backalleys, you arrive at the port where Ahsoka's shuttle is docked. It's a small personal shuttle that seems pretty old, like it was manufactured at the tail end of the Clone Wars. Ahsoka takes a seat in the pilot's chair, with you sitting behind her. As the ship takes off, she turns back to you. "It'll be a pretty long journey, so if there's any questions you have before we get to Endor, might as well get them off your chest."

>Ask what Luke Skywalker is actually like.
>Ask who's a part of this New Jedi Order.
>Write-in; Ask if she has any questions for us as well

As soon as you're given the go ahead, you struggle to narrow down all the questions bouncing around in your head to just a few. This is a complete change from your entire life up until this point, and in many ways, you're unsure what exactly to expect. Everything you know about the Jedi Order you learned from the Empire, and if there's one thing you learned in the years since the fall of the Empire, it's that you can't take the Empire's word for anything.

"Well, first... I guess, what's Luke Skywalker like? Really?"

Ahsoka taps her chin with a free hand, keeping the ship steady with her other one. "He's shorter than you'd expect, for one." She says, absentmindedly. "He's surprisingly not a very big personality, he's quiet, it's easy to forget he saved the entire Galaxy just about single-handedly. Although, to be honest, even I still haven't gotten him to tell me his side of the story of the Battle of Endor."

Not exactly what you'd expect. Considering how much of your training had been spent with the specific goal of one day killing Skywalker himself, hearing that he's a quiet, reserved individual seems off, somehow. You always imagined him as an overbearing individual, the kind that made their presence known through the sheer power of their being, akin to the impression left behind of the one time you actually met Darth Vader, early in your training.

"And, who else is in this New Jedi Order? How many other recruits are there like me?"

Ahsoka shrugs, "Not many. Skywalker is our Grand Master, and there are four Jedi Masters underneath him, which I'm one of. Then, the twelve recruits, which you're a part of. So, in total, there are currently five official Jedi in the galaxy right now, with twelve prospects." You almost expected more. Of course, it makes sense for a low number, the Imperial Inquisitorius was incredibly succesful, especially early on in the days of the Great Jedi Purge, and before the decline of the Empire. You missed much of the glory days of the Inquisition, as you were in training during the tail end of those days.

"Well then, do you have any questions for me?" You ask. Of course, you know she does, she's had plenty of questions she's wanted to ask ever since she saw your lightsaber back at Nar Shaddaa. Until now, acting as an instructor was taking precedence, but now you've given her permission to begin her interrogation.

She doesn't need to think long for a question. "How many Jedi have you killed?"

Then again, it was rare that I was alone and I rarely going one on one with Jedi of actual importance, I was usually the backup for when they needed another pair of extra hands in support for dangerous ones.

Basically I'm saying the only time we actually soloed a Jedi was when we found an old one and a group of padawans almost too old to be called as such, and otherwise, we were called up for supporting roles and when the Inquisitorius really needed some numbers for dangerous Jedi.
>>
>>3977849
>I've only personally killed one, two if you count padawans. I've had a hand in the deaths of many more.
With the spec we chose in the beginning I dont really see us as the sort to personally go out and stab jedi in the face. We were probably deployed as part of a team, or sent out to gather information in advance of a kill team.
>>
>>3977865
Supporting this one but I feel we ought to specify the number. Several can mean anywhere from two dozen to like, 3. How about saying we only did in 4? Three padawans and a knight.

We had a hand in the death of like 5, usually in the preparation or information gathering, we only had an actual engagement with 2, and we only ever soloed an elderly Jedi that should NOT have been in combat even in their prime, along with a group of padawans that had managed to survive to late teens, having been taught by their diplomat master less about combat than they needed to survive really any Inquisitor, even one such as us.

>One Jedi and a dozen or so force-sensitives.

You think back on it. "I didn't see much combat by myself. I was usually more of a support role, but I helped my team take down maybe five over the years. Personally, I've only ever killed one Jedi. He was an old Jedi who'd been training a group of Padawans over the years, I'd only intended to do reconnaissance, but he caught me and it lead to a confrontation. I managed to kill him and most of his students." You think back on that day. You barely remember the battle itself, just the aftermath, and the smell of burnt flesh filling the air.

"Do you remember his name?" Ahsoka asks, purposefully trying her hardest to keep her expression and mind blank. You shake your head.

"Like I said, I hadn't even intended to get into a fight with him, and I barely managed to survive."

She just turns back towards the cockpit, seemingly done with asking you anymore questions. The rest of the ride to Endor is mostly silent and tense, but soon enough, you arrive at your destination, and you could feel the forested moon of Endor as you approached. The Force truly was strong here, it's a feeling you've never felt before, to be so overwhelmed by the Force just based on location.

Once Ahsoka sets the ship down, you follow her outside. You've landed in a clearing of the dense, thick forest, with a large, stone temple looming over the trees not far from here. Ahsoka looks around and murmurs a curse under her breath. "We're early. You can go ahead and explore the temple, if you want. I'm sure Luke is around here somewhere."

She turns to a datapad and starts typing urgently, seemingly no longer paying any attention to you.

Our role of information gatherer/infiltrator/planner means that although we have few actual kills, we have an amount of field time and experience that even the most active spy or lawman would find respectable.
>>
>>3978001
Few kills referring to Jedi and force sensitives, Jedi really like stirring up mobs of angry locals with blasters (or on a particularly backward world that one time, slugthrowers. Those fucking slugthrowers were the closest you've come to death yet. We kind of want one now, but good ones are expensive.) into rebellion for help or hiring mercenaries to throw you off their trail. As much as we try to avoid killing the former, the latter we have no qualms with. That's why we were after that diplomat Jedi, none of our Brothers and Sisters could find him because he had been spending his years learning how not to be found and polishing his already silver tongue as much as training the Padawans, and just so happened to have had a large supply of credits to grease palms and hire mercenaries with.
>>
>>3978023
What type of slugthrower would we want? A shotgun? A Sniper Rifle? A pistol?
>>
>>3978044
We've still got the scars from that bastard with the shotgun, the only thing that saved us was that most of them had pistols. We immediately went after the one with a rifle, foolishly thinking that was the most dangerous one to us.

(It would be nice to have all of them, but if I had to choose I would say get our hands on a shotgun.)

We are a rather... unconventional force user.

But in any case, most guns are probably either treasured family relics and artisanal custom pieces or shitty DIY jobs made by backwater farmers, with no inbetween.

But yeah, we are only good at support uses of the force, pretty bad at actual combat with either the force or a lightsaber. Our weapon is our smarts. or, should we get our hands on one, a gun. Supernatural reflexes and pseudo-precognition also helps with ranged weapons, not just melee.

Question is what do we do with all that spare time? Look for other Inquisitors? Find some abandonned Inquisitor post and make it into another Temple?

>Explore the Jedi Temple.

https://youtu.be/DxQqrrxeMkc

You set off towards the temple looming over the trees, leaving Tano to deal with whatever it is she's dealing with. The thick forest is difficult to travel through, but you find a seemingly fairly well travelled path leading you towards the temple, which you begin to follow. The forest around you seems to be teeming with life, and you start to get a sense as to why Skywalker chose to settle at this place. As a Miraluka, you have a better connection to it than most, but this small moon is filled with a wide variety of species, each with their own place in the ecosystem and the living Force around them.

The trek to the temple is a short one, and before long you enter a vast clearing, with the spires of the temple casting a large shadow over you. You approach, struggling to keep your nerves under control. You have no reason to feel particularly anxious, but your heart is beating incredibly fast, and you feel yourself start to sweat as you draw closer towards the large stone doors of the Jedi temple.

You almost expect to meet some kind of resistance or be stopped as you reach out to push the doors open, but instead, the doors simply budge as one would expect. You step into the Jedi temple, the inside is somewhat plain and stark, carved entirely from large, plain stone, with script and relief carved into the walls as decoration, primarily reciting old Jedi prayers, as far as you can interpret.

You are standing in a wide, empty room with a raised stage against the far wall. There are several different doors, each of which seems to lead out into a labyrinth of stone hallways, even just this one floor would be easy to get lost in, but who knows how many levels there actually are in this temple.

You could spend hours wandering around this temple aimlessly, but if you want to actually get something done, you realize you should probably focus on a single objective for now.

Remember Order 66. Again, we weren't there for it, but the reason that the Jedi fell was due to their lack of a defensible base.

Also, we know from experience, it takes a LOT of time and effort to dig a force-sensitive out of a hole they've dug themselves into. Jedi that pulled that were what caused us to get called in by our Brothers and Sisters, to try and find a way in or a weakness, whether or not we actually went in

You start wandering the Academy, specifically searching for stairs leading downwards. The lowest levels of this temple must have been some of the oldest constructed, and of course, if you were building a Jedi temple, you would put all of your deepest, darkest secrets at the very bottom. The further down you go, the more convinced that you must be on the right track, because you can think of no other reason whoever designed this temple would make the staircases so difficult to locate.

Eventually, after what feels like an eternity of wandering through stone hallways and staircases, the lights getting dimmer and sparser, the further down you go. The limited warmth and homeliness that was present at the first floor had completely vanished as you stepped deeper into the depths of the Jedi Academy. You think back to where this Academy was located, supposedly, on the same planet where both Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader died, although no one truly knows what happened that day. Perhaps, you could find some information as to whatever truly happened to them. They were your masters at one point as well, after all.

Finally, you step into a hall unlike those before it. Rather than being crafted out of smoothly hewn stone slabs, the floor and walls are rough, like the construction of this level was never finished. You step down, needing to bow your head slightly to avoid hitting the ragged rock roof, and see only one door ahead of you, with all the decor and light touches removed, instead being carved completely from blank, dark almost-black stone. As you step closer to the door, you feel the presence of the Dark Side overwhelmingly, sourced from the other side of the door.

You push open the stone doors, stepping into the chamber of darkness. The room was small and cramped, but in the middle, resting on an elevated pedestal, was the half-melted helmet of the Sith Lord Darth Vader. The feeling you're feeling now is the exact same as when you met him while he was still alive. Even in death, the presence of Lord Vader leaves a wound in the Force.

Hesitantly, you reach out, trembling fingers brushing up against the melted plasteel that once made up the mask that had helped rule the galaxy with an iron fist. Then, you hear it. The unmistakable sound of the rebreather attached to Lord Vader's armor. You spin, panicked, but you're still alone down here.

"Disappointing." The harsh, deep voice of Vader cuts through the tension, striking you like a blaster bolt.

"You're dead," You offer as a counterpoint, but the dead Dark Lord rudely ignores you.

"You always were the weakest of your lot. I suppose it isn't quite surprising to see you here. You were never strong enough to thrive on your own."

[spoilers]Apologies for the delays, everyone, holidays have been hectic.[/spoilers]

You wrench yourself away from the simultaneously mystifying and magnetic Dark Side presence in the room, overwhelming as it was. You have seemingly unending questions about this, but you can recognize a trick when you see one. As you leave, you hear the voice of Vader echo behind you a final time, "Exactly what I would expect. Run, run while you can. Just remember, death is far from the end." The voice fades as you climb the stairs, and you feel yourself leaving the choking grasp of the Dark Side, contained as it is on the lowest level of the Temple.

You climb back upwards towards the main level of the Jedi Academy, wanting to speak to someone about this. Does anyone else even know what is hidden in the bowels of the temple? Why is it even there? As you return to the surface and exit the temple, you realize you may not get the opportunity to question Ahsoka about what you found, as you can sense the rest of the Jedi and their found students approaching the Temple, apparently having arrived while you were exploring the depths of the Temple.

As you open the door, the masters are immediately easy to pick out from their apprentices. Tano is there, same as she was before, but joining her now are three presences that you can feel without even attempting to search for them. Immediately next to Ahsoka is a human man, with short-brown hair and a beard, you'd guess to be in his mid-thirties. He's less immediately strong in the Force than the others he's with, but stands on his own regardless. On his other side stands another Togruta, you can sense she's older, more mature than the others, and her knowledge of the Force seems overwhelming from your small moment of observation. Finally, on the far side of the other masters, you sense a presence that, despite immense power, is more conflicted and less in tune with the Light Side than the others. A Dathomirian woman, with short cut hair, and decorative facial tattoos marking her as in someway connected to the Nightsisters of Dathomir.

The masters, the rest of the students in tow, primarily pass you by to enter the Temple, although you feel more than a few odd stares as they do so. Ahsoka lingers for a moment to speak with you, "Good to see you didn't run off, I'd almost started to worry about you. The rest of the apprentices have been gathered, and I believe Grand Master Skywalker is awaiting us inside." Then, she notices your expression. "Is everything alright, Raysh?"

K'Kruk. He's dabbled in dark side feelings so I feel he'd be a good choice to help ween us off it. Him or Quinlan Vos.

Also I'm gonna have to dissapoint you Anon but Ventress dies in order to save Vos in Darm Disciple... Though Sheev might be willing to pull some QM fiat and make it not so...
>>

I kind of want Ashoka to be our master, partly because she seems so uncomfortable around us now that she realizes we're an Inquisitor who's killed Jedi in the past.

That being said, if each of these Masters are who I think they are then I don't think we can go wrong with any of them.

>Lie & ask about the other Jedi Masters.

You shake off the impact that seeing the Sith Lord's resting place had left upon you. Once, you had looked up to Vader, he had been the example of what you one day aspired to be, powerful, commanding, the strongest force-user in the Galaxy, with the entire Empire at his beck and call, subservient only to one man across the entire galaxy. Or at least, he'd been, at one time. Now, he was a burned, half-melted relic hidden away in the basement of the new Jedi Temple, an artifact of a past era of the Galaxy. Vader has been dead for ten years, and his Empire died only a handful of years later, you did not want to be running scared and shaken to your core by spectres of the past.

"I'm alright, just a little overwhelmed," You casually dismiss the concerns of Tano, and the Togruta master seems willing enough to accept your story without too much questioning. You're glad too, you're not sure how well she can sense your own thoughts and emotions naturally, and while you've been trying to keep a handle on them, the longer you speak, and the more she questions you, the more likely you are to slip up and give away the game. So, you change the subject. "Speaking of, those were the Jedi Masters? I could sense their presence in the Force, even when I was still inside the Temple."

With a nod, Ahsoka explains. "Yes, most of us were... trained, before the Jedi Purge. Shaak Ti, the other Togruta, is the oldest one of us, she was on the Jedi High Council when I first became a Padawan. Honestly, I'm surprised she isn't the Grand Master, but she's always been difficult to read, and she doesn't seem to mind Skywalker's leadership at all. At least, I think so. Like I said, it's hard to tell how she's feeling."

"Then, there's Kyle Katarn. Katarn wasn't a Jedi before the war, in fact, he was a Stormtrooper for the Empire, until he wasn't. Apparently, he did a lot for the Rebellion, and he and Luke have been working together for years. He's less experienced than the rest of us, but he learns incredibly fast, and he doesn't fight like a Jedi, which makes him one of the most dangerous of us in combat."

"Finally," Ahsoka continues, but you can see her visibly cringe as she reaches the final Master. "Asajj Ventress. She was trained during the Clone Wars, she was just fighting on the other side. A Sith for years, she eventually stabbed her master in the back and went off on her own just before the end of the Clone Wars. I thought she'd been hunted down by Inquisitors at some point or another, but she somehow managed to survive. Apparently, she's reformed now and Luke vouches for her, but I still trust her as far as I can throw her."

You nod to Ahsoka, appreciating the information. "Should we head inside?" You ask, turning towards the door.

Ahsoka snorts, "Raysh, I've already met Skywalker, you're the one that'll make your first impression with the new Grand Master by being late, I don't really have much to worry about." You shoot a glare over your shoulders and she responds only with a shrug, but the smirk on her face tells you she doesn't really seem to mind too much.

You pull open the door and start to rush towards the meeting chambers, trying to get there as fast as possible while not running, with Ahsoka slowly strolling behind you. The Jedi Padawans are standing in front of a large stone stage, with the Jedi Grand Master standing front and center ahead of the Jedi Masters lined up behind him, with the notable exception of Ahsoka. You hurriedly take your place with the rest of the new Jedi recruits, standing on the far side of the crowd, next to a human teenager, who turns to look at you. "Psst... hey!" He whispers to you, you try to ignore it, but he's persistent.

"Hey!" He repeats, and you turn, "What?"

"I'm Rosh! Rosh Penin! I gotta be honest, I'm really nervous... Like, jeez! The savior of the galaxy, Luke Skywalker, right?"

You give a polite nod, as Ahsoka takes her place with the rest of the Jedi Masters. Luke nods at her, before turning back towards you.

"Welcome all of you to the Jedi Praxeum. Praxeum is an old Jedi word for Academy, coined by the ancient Jedi scholar, Karena. It is a place of learning, but not just learning for learnings sake. It is a place where the skills and arts you learn will be put to action to better the lives of people across the Galaxy. Here, we will train you in the ways of the force. You will learn to defend yourself with a lightsaber, and you will study diplomacy, history, and more. The faults of the Orders that came before are numerous, and it is the goal of this New Order to learn from those mistakes, and to never again allow the Galaxy to be plunged into darkness by the seductive forces of the Sith."

Luke continues his speech, but Rosh again leans over and whispers to you. "What's your name?"

"Raysh." You hiss back, and he nods. This earns you a look of ire from the Padawan in front of you, a red-skinned twi'lek woman.

"One day, each of you will become the next generation of Jedi Knights. You are the core of what will become a great order to protect the New Republic and ensure order and peace across the galaxy. You will all, one day, be champions of the force. While it has always been the practice of the Jedi to assign each student to a Master, since there are still so few of our order, we shall assign three students to each Master."

You wait nervously, and a few seconds stretches out to feel like an eternity, before the Grand Master starts announcing which student goes to which master. You can't help but be completely petrified with anxiety and nerves. You hadn't expected to be this nervous, you've been through the Inquisitorius Academy, after all. But somehow these seconds of waiting before finding out who your master will be is more excruciating in the moment than anything you can think of from your time in the Inquisitorius. Of course, by the time you were going through the Academy, it was a shadow of its past self.

"Yan Farrim, you will be assigned to Jedi Master Ahsoka Tano." The first student and master are announced, and you see, on the far side from you, in the front of the crowd, one of the students bows gratefully as applause rings out. Yan Farrim is apparently a human woman, you'd guess to be about your age, if a year or two younger. Small in stature and with delicate, porcelain like features, her raven-black hair stands out in stark contrast, and she looks more akin to a high-society Coruscant holotape model rather than a Jedi.

"Rosh Penin, you will be assigned to Jedi Master Kyle Katarn." Luke announces, and almost immediately, Rosh goes overboard in celebrating right next to you. Cheering loudly, practically jumping up and down. You swear, he was moments away from hugging you, but he managed to calm down before too long. In a way you felt happy for him, and in a similar way, you also hoped you didn't get stuck with him.

"Gelonna Arostesh, you will be assigned to Jedi Master Asajj Ventress." The next student announced is another far from you, standing right next to Yan Farrim, an Arkanian woman with short-cut pale white, almost silver hair, and skin only a few shades off from that.

"Maris Brood, you will be assigned to Jedi Master Shaak Ti." Skywalker announces the student, and you turn to see only on the other side of Rosh, a Zabrak woman who, similarly to you, already has a lightsaber strapped to her belt, in fact, she has two of them. With dark hair pulled in tight braids, and red horns contrasting with her pale skin, the Zabrak woman seems perhaps a few years older than you, and you can sense conflict and darkness in her, not dissimilar to yourself.

"Twick Zteezai, you will be assigned to Jedi Master Ahsoka Tano." Next, the Padawan is a green-skinned Rodian male who bows graciously, he's a few rows ahead of you, and even from all the way in the back, you can sense his nerves as he shakily bows.

"Jaden Korr, you will be assigned to Jedi Master Kyle Katarn." You're a little shocked when it turns out the Twi'lek in front of you that had given you such an evil look earlier is this Jaden Korr, and she's going to be stuck with this Rosh guy. After bowing, she turns back to glare at Rosh, who seems oblivious to the entire situation, which only seems to draw the ire of the reddish-pink skinned Twi'lek even more.

"Resk Modhos, you will be assigned to Jedi Master Asajj Ventress." The next student is a Bothan man, stood near the front of the group. He bows to applause, and you can't help but begin to wonder about your own chance of getting picked, surely it was going to come soon, but were they really going to make you wait through this entire ceremony?

"Klu Ziirs, you will be assigned to Jedi Master Shaak Ti." The next pick is a Kel Dor man who only bows his head stoically, barely reacting at all to having his master selected.

"Zak Arranda, you will be assigned to Jedi Master Ahsoka Tano." The next pick is a golden-haired human male, seemingly a few years younger than the rest of you. He looks extra small in the Jedi robes he's wearing that are too big for him, but he bows nonetheless.

"Tasha Arranda, you will be assigned to Jedi Master Kyle Katarn." Skywalker announces the next student and Tasha Arranda bows, apparently a human woman standing next to the previous choice. A few years older, but with the same golden-hair and family name, an older sister, presumably.

"Cilghal Ackbar, you will be assigned to Jedi Master Asajj Ventress." You immediately snap to attention as soon as you hear the name Ackbar. Anyone with even a cursory knowledge of the Galactic Civil War is well-aware of the exploits of Supreme Commander Gial Ackbar, who played a pivotal role in the Rebel Alliance that evolved into the New Republic. This is not him, but instead a much younger, female relative of his.

"Finally, Raysh Vayzahk, you will be assigned to Jedi Master Shaak Ti." Finally, you feel like you can breathe again, and you bow as the other students give you a respectful round of applause. Shaak Ti was apparently a Jedi Master even before the rise of the Empire, and was a part of the Old Jedi Order. You wonder what she could be like, or what her training might consist of, but you don't have to wonder for very long.

"All of you, your Masters will guide each of you into your own training fields, where you will all begin your introductory training, just to get a sense of where each of your abilities lie. Your Masters will all explain more to you when you're seperated, but for now, may the Force be with you." Skywalker says, closing his speech.

You, Maris Brood and Klu Ziirs all follow Shaak Ti into an area of the Temple you didn't even manage to stumble upon during your time exploring. Amidst the deep jungle and forestation of the Endor moon, on the outside of the Jedi Praxeum, a labyrinthine obstacle course crafted out of the same rough-hewn stone and the natural obstacles and dangers provided by the jungle and terrain itself, manned and guarded by combat droids with pre-set and controlled combat patterns and parameters. Despite looking like an ancient temple that hadn't been touched in centuries, it was really a state of the art training facility.

Shaak Ti turned towards the three of you, gathering you around her. "I am Jedi Master Shaak Ti." She speaks, surprisingly softly and quietly for a Jedi Master, although there was a clear subtext of strength and confidence hidden behind the softness of her voice. "If you don't know, I have been a Jedi for longer than anyone else alive in the Galaxy, as far as I know. I first joined the Jedi Order as a youngling, and served with them up until the Great Purge. I thought I was going to live out the rest of my days as a hermit on Felucia, until Luke came to me and told me of this New Jedi Order."

"Once, I had given up, but now I know the true power of the Force and Destiny. I survived the Great Jedi Purge because the New Jedi Order would need someone who lived through the mistakes of the Old one. Who had committed those mistakes herself. I train you now to atone for the failures of the past. My training will likely be... not exactly traditional, and fairly unique compared to the other Jedi Masters, but I promise you it will all be for the best in the end, if you trust me."

Maris, interjects. "What if we don't trust you, what happens then?"

Shaak Ti gives her a simple, quiet stare for a few seconds before shrugging slightly, "You'll likely die. Wouldn't be the first Padawans, you likely won't be the last. The three of you will need to become a cohesive unit if you wish to make it through my training. One advantage the Light Side always has over the Dark, is that the Jedi can depend on each other, strength one another in times of need. The Sith always betray each other, eventually." Maris' eyes go wide, but you're pretty sure Master Ti is joking. It's difficult to tell, as not only does she not laugh, she doesn't smile, or even so much as seemingly move any muscle in her face, keeping a completely blank, unreadable expression as she glances between the three of you. Maybe she isn't joking, actually, it seems almost impossible to tell.

Then, she nods towards you. "You, introduce yourself to your teammates. You will have to trust one another with your lives soon enough, so surely, your stories are not too much to ask."

Assuming we have much say in how our training will go, what do you guys hope to learn from Shaak Ti?

According to the Legends wiki, she was skilled in all lightsaber styles but was especially skilled in Makashi and Ataru. I'm a fan of focusing on learning either style, Makashi seems like a style that a former inquisitor would be suited for and since we're already fairly strong in the Force Ataru seems like it would also be good for us.

I'm also a bit curious if we'll stick with out Inquisitor lightsaber, maybe do a little repair on it, or go for a new more traditional saber at some point. I know we're not the only padawan to already have a lightsaber with Maris Brood and Jaden Korr already having their own.

Any Force Powers we should try to learn as well? Since we're skilled at Force Support, I wonder if we could ever have the chance to pick up Battle Meditation? I know that would certainly help out a lot since we'll be in a team of 3.
>>
>>3990668
I'm more hoping for saber modification, and for Sheev to return from the dead so this quest can continue.
Battle Meditation might help.
>>
>>3990705
>>3990668
I also wonder if we'll be able to do more advanced versions of the Jedi Mind Trick.
>>
>>3990668
>Battle Meditation
Are there powers other than BM that we might pick in a quest? I mean, it gets brought up in every single instance.
I recall even when we played Sheev somebody asked if he could use BM (he can, the sith version).

As the pinnacle of MC's training I'd suggest finding a tutor to learn Shatterpoint. Focusing studies on mental side of powers, including precognition, the battle version of it and force persuasion (mind trick).
>>
>>3990713
>Shatterpoint
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Shatterpoint more of a unique factor of Mace Windu than an actual force ability?
Oh yeah, despite it being a physical enhancement it would be nice to get our hands on Force Speed.
>>
>>3990714
I think every force user eventually acquires at least a rudimentary ability in the basic powers like Speed?.. Speed, Senses, Healing, Jump, Push, Pull, Throw, etc

As for Shatterpoint, Luke definitely learned it himself. Kreia from KOTOR 2 knew it as well. And it's seeing faults in things through the force.
>>
>>3990718
I was mostly referring to honing that ability to such a degree where we can dodge the blaster shots akin to bullet time but I can see where I went wrong in explaining my desires.
As for Shatterpoint, I legitimately forgot that Luke picked that up, didn't know Kreia did either.
>>
>>3990729
Don't Jedi normally do that when deflecting blaster bolts tho? Like, they're trained to see it coming even with their eyes closed.

Shatterpoint SOUNDS like a good idea, but I don't wanna be "that guy". You knoe the one, the dude plagued with visions of self fulfulling prophecies going around trying to control events. That ultimately comes down to the players and I don't think we're smart enough for that...
>>
>>3990771
>Don't Jedi normally do that when deflecting blaster bolts tho? Like, they're trained to see it coming even with their eyes closed.
If I recall right it's not exactly like that, it's more akin to listening to the force via your instincts in placing your blade into the path of the blaster bolt.
>>
>>3990775
>>3990771
I will say that yes there is training involved but it's more due to listening to that instinct and actual blade training.
After all, Form VI didn't serve the Jedi well at the battle of Geonosis.
And I can understand your feelings on Shatterpoint, there are other powers to hone besides that we can use.
I probably sound like I'm rambling on and on, so I'm gonna try to stop for now.

>Come clean about having been an Inquisitor.

Of course, telling everyone at the Jedi Academy that your previous job was hunting down and killing Jedi was unlikely to make you your new Master's favorite student, however, Ahsoka already knows, so it's likely only a matter of time until it becomes public knowledge around the Academy regardless.

"My name is Raysh Vayzahk," you begin. You've gotten quite a bit of practice with your name over the past few weeks, but even still you struggle to think of yourself as Raysh Vayzahk, and not Nineteenth Brother. "I don't know my parents, or where I came from, originally. Not long after I was born, the Empire found me. They sensed the Force within me, and I was taken from my home one night to the Imperial Inquisitorius." You hesitate for a moment, gauging the reactions and emotions of your fellow students and teacher as your previous occupation becomes clear.

Maris Brood wore her emotions and reactions on her sleeve, not even attempting to hide her immediate surprise, which was soon followed by an overwhelming sense of disgust and distaste for you. Many young force-sensitives lost someone to the Inquisitors during the Imperial Era, either their parents, a Master, or some other former Jedi. It was likely Maris was one of these, a child born in and then orphaned by the Great Jedi Purge. Klu Ziirs, on the other hand had a much more surprising reaction. Although he was more difficult to read than the Dathomiri, you think you sense some form of respect or kinship from the Kel Dor, which is far from what you expected from him. Finally, you extend your senses towards Shaak Ti, but if you thought Klu Ziirs was difficult to read, the Togruta master was another level of enygma. She simply keeps her gaze fixed on you, the same slight smile that has been her expression this entire time still transfixed on her face.

"By the time my training had begun, Lord-" You catch yourself, "Darth Vader wasn't personally training the Inquisitors, as the Rebellion was too pressing a concern to waste his time with us. I only met him once before the Battle of Endor. I was only made an active inquisitor after the death of the Emperor and Vader, and by that point we were lead by the Emperor's Hand. She oversaw most of my actual training in the Force. I was the weakest of the Inquisitors by far, but after she began training me in the Force, I realized my potential. After Isard named herself Empress, we served her Empire for some time, although the Hand and her never truly got along. I was at the Battle of Mandalore, I survived, but most of my Brothers and Sisters didn't. Despite the Republic's preaching of mercy, they were all put down like dogs. I only managed to survive because I wasn't on the front lines."

You've never said it all out loud before. You've been playing over the events of the Battle of Mandalore in your head since the day it happened. The former Director of Imperial Intelligence, Ysanne Isard had risen to the top of the Imperial Remnants swiftly, after having the Grand Vizier executed, and then surrendering Coruscant the New Republic, but not before unleashing the Krytos Virus in the most populated planet in the Galaxy and allowing it to spread within the Core Regions before the Republic even found out about it. Naming herself Empress, she gathered the Warlords that had risen from the ashes of the Empire and formed a new Empire, even forging an alliance with the Death Watch Mandalorians and helping them fully establish control over Mandalore.

Mandalore became the temporary home planet of the New Empire, and the Republic arrived not long after. The Inquisitorius were pulled from their duties hunting Force Sensitives to instead help the defense of the Empire, bringing you to the Battle of Mandalore. It wasn't as if you'd never experienced a battle before, or that you weren't prepared for violence. You'd killed plenty before, you weren't afraind of blood, but you'd never experienced anything as bloody as the Battle of Mandalore. The New Republic crushed the Imperial troops with extreme prejudice, and while your Brothers and Sisters began turning the tides of battle with their arrival, it wasn't long afterwards that they brought out the slugthrowers. Twentieth Sister was ripped in half by a barrage of bullets. Fifteenth Brother tried to block the slugs with his saber, only to have molten metal melt away his flesh. Every Inquisitor that had arrived for the battle, the closest to a family you ever knew, were all ripped away from you in seconds.

You were snapped suddenly from your thoughts as Shaak Ti reaches out, placing a hand on your shoulder. "Jedi are not defined by their past, or their future. Only by the actions they take in the present. I can sense much darkness within you, Raysh, but great potential for light as well. You remind me of a student of mine that came to me during my exile on Felucia. He had been taken by the Empire as a child, much the same as you, and had served the Dark Side for his entire life. But, in the end, his sacrifice is what allowed for the Empire to be defeated." Your Master says softly, her voice sounding almost motherly in that moment. You almost forget that the two other initiates are even there, until you hear Maris scoff.

"You're a hypocrite. You complain about the Republic not showing your friends mercy, but what mercy did you ever show the Jedi you murdered?" She says, voice full of rage. You open your mouth, trying to find words to defend yourself, or at least make peace with her, but Shaak Ti speaks before you can.

"That temper is dangerous, young one. Since you're so ready to speak, introduce yourself."

The Zabrak woman seems somewhat annoyed with your Master, but thinks better of arguing and simply complies. "Maris Brood." She says, defiantly, like she wants to leave it at that, but then her tone softens as she thinks better of it. "I was an orphan, on Iridonia, but my Master found me. He saved me from the Empire, and he raised me, and taught me how to use the Force... and then," she points a finger at you. "Your 'Brothers and Sisters' murdered him! For a long time I wanted revenge, and I searched desperately for it... but Master Shaak Ti found me before I made too much of a mistake, and rescued me from the Dark Side."

Finally, Shaak Ti turns towards her last student, the quiet Kel Dor. "You've barely said a word this entire time, why don't you introduce yourself?" She asks. Klu Ziirs gives a small shrug, "I haven't had much to say, and I like to listen before I speak."

He turns towards you and Maris. "I am Klu Ziirs. I was born on Dorin, and my parents sent me to live and study with the Baran Do Sages, of Kel Dor after discovering I was Force Sensitive. They knew I would be hunted down or taken by the Empire one way or the other, so they chose to send me to live with the Baran Do. Before the Jedi came to Dorin, the Baran Do guided us in the ways of the Force. I was trained in the ways of the Force, and taught to control my emotion, but... I was never happy with the Baran Do. They never wanted me to leave the Temple, but I wanted to get off of Dorin as soon as possible. One night... things between my Master and I escalated, and I killed him. The Baran Do was a peaceful order, but I let the Dark Side push me to do something that I know I can never take back."

Shaak Ti nods, "All of you have struggled with the Dark Side in different ways, but you must not let that divide you. The Dark Side seeks to divide us, to make us believe we are alone, but each of you can sympathise and relate to each other's struggles, in some way or another. Unified, we are stronger than we are seperated, which is what allows the Light Side to always triumph over Dark. While alone, the Sith may be stronger than a Jedi, the Sith will always be alone, while the Jedi will not be. Take this as your first lesson."

"Now, we shall begin your true training. There will be three seperate challenges you shall attempt. The first, each of you will attempt to make your way through a training course, the second, you will compete against one another using only the force. And for the final one, you will all work together to attempt to best me in combat. This will all be done to evaluate each of you, to find your strengths as well as your weaknesses, and to see how you can function while working as a team."

"Raysh, since you introduced yourself first, you can also choose which training you will attempt first."

It's our specialty, at least in force related things.

Though, we're better at the more... subtle things the force can do.

See, my mind says if we do this by ourselves, we can do the force against eachother and battle as a group.

So we stand a better chance of winning in every case and nothing makes a team work together faster than co-operative combat

Oi Sheev, did you drop dead all of a sudden?
>>
>>3998049
Wont be the first time hes done it to one of his SW quests
>>
>>3998049
I'm still alive but I've been busy and after watching Rise of Skywalker my motivation to run this quest died for a while. I've been reworking my plans for the first arc though and I'll be back with the next thread tomorrow.
>>
>>3998099
That's understandable. Thanks for not keeping us in the dark.

>>3998099
understandable, ROS was shit

I just started reading, liking what I see so far, dont let disney get you down.

Part of the reasons I enjoy Star Wars quests is that they're frequently better than the movies. I believe in you.
>>
>>3998099
Glad to hear you haven’t given up senpai. Sorry to hear the new movie sucked so bad.
>>
>>3999166
Honestly, that is easy to do with the latest trilogy. They set the standards so extremely low.
>>
>>3998099
I hate to do this, but I won't be running today either, it turns out. A minor family emergency came up and I won't have enough time to actually run until tomorrow at least. In the meantime, if anyone has any lore questions or questions about how awful Rise of Skywalker was, I will try to answer them as I check in on this thread.
>>
>>3999861
Did Rey really end up frying a bunch of ships? It sounded like bullshit, but with the way people have been reacting I wouldn't be surprised if there was at least something equally as awful.
>>
>>3999875
Rey accidentally lightningd one ship, but Palpatine did a big force lightning and shot all the ships in the big climactic space battle. Both times were fucking stupid.
>>
>>3999861
what did you think of the super-duper star destroyers with the super lasers?
>>
>>4000059
Literally dumber than all the dumbest things in the EU combined. Losing the EU was never worth it, but is even less worth it now.
>>
>>3998099
I havn't watched it, and this isn't even a question, but I still can't believe that they unironicly brought Palpatine back for the death out of nowhere with zero (0) foreshaodowing in episode 9, and apparantly kill him off in that same movie. How badly do you have to fuck up for that to be your best idea to wrap up a trilogy. Funny part is, before episode 9 came out Disney went to all this work in their published work to emphasize that palpatine was dead and he wouldn't be coming back this time.
>>
>>4000326
It really shows the complete lack of originality and thought put into this trilogy. Snoke was just a weaker copy of Palpatine in the first place, and then they killed him off before they could develop him into something unique, and now he's literally just a Sheev clones, because Star Wars is literally cursed to never escape Sheev clones.
>>
>>4000313
>>4000059
Man I'm going to have to catch up on all the starwars movies and the follow up bs someday, all I know is that the recent stuff is meh to bad, to raping the cannon or something.

>because Star Wars is literally cursed to never escape Sheev clones.
And Luuuuuuuuuke. We can never forgot him in our hearts.

Sucks my dude. Hope you come back soon but by all means take your time. Family emergencies are a shit way to start off this great new year, so I hope whoever got hurt is ok.

On the bright side I heard some dude on bitchute went and editted the whole of The Lasf Jedi to make it tolerable. Like, Rey is shown getting training, Luke isn't a fuckin wreck, lots of the awkward stuff is either replaced or chopped out entirely. I'll post it when I get back!
>>
>>4003726
Here we go, the editted version:
https://www.bitchute.com/video/Io9hILdeiT0S/

There's also a download on the dudes patreon that you can find in the description in case you want an HD version. Hope Sheev comes back soon, I liked where this quest was going.

Please don't give up, I like this quest.
