After getting back From the Old Forest, you started managing your empire again. You started another large recruitment campaign and started building up the navy. You also spoke with dwarven engineers about the Giant workshop and a project of giant fortress-cities, that should be able to house a whole legion and their families. After Lazarus and your friends arrived, you had to explain why your appearance changed . . . Again, and later tried to test the purification method you learned from Metraton one of your husband's corrupted girl. It worked, and while she kept a demonic appearance she seemed mostly fine, but you asked Lazarus to keep doing tests.

You also celebrated Aleanor's 23th birthday with a hunting party, which could have gone bad as a corrupted boar appeared, but fortunately it was quickly killed, and Aleanor decided to make its head into a trophy for the private lounge. The next day you spent some times together with Silviana and teased her about how "close" she is to Shelur now, so you suggested that she followed you to your bedroom to show how "loyal" she is to you . . . And she accepted.

- You decide to look at the reports of the city and the surrounding regions, to see how it did in the last few months and maybe start some improvements here. Thank to the forest to the north, and the plains to the south you could build a bestiary to capture, tame, breed and increase the numbers of beasts, such a building would cost 1 resource and 1 finance. You could also increase the agriculture output even more by cultivating in the south. You can start up an industry for export, like glassworks, ceramic workshops, linen weaving, each one will cost 1 resource and 2 finances to start up. You could also think about diversifying your own personal shops, create new ones or sell another kind of product.

-You send the 3600 Elite Guardsmen of Drack Keep start a large operation to make sure no more corrupted beasts make it this far south and escape the extermination campaign in the Dark Forest. They report only a few cases and with the extermination campaign a path to the northern mountains could be secured.

Lazarus look at you, and after a couple of seconds he removes his helmet before giving you a slow, loving kiss. You spend the rest of the day with him. After ordering his assistants and overseeing another corruption drowning test on one of the girls, he then went to inspect the defenses of the castle and the Royal Guards. After lunch he started a meeting with the generals, the military situation of the Drack Empire is at its best, but you are soon approaching the available human population you can effectively recruit so you must be careful with future recruiting campaigns. In the afternoon he went to the inner courtyard to train . . . And of course he does it shirtless, displaying his incredible body with each movement, his powerful muscles, his muscular chest and his chiseled abs, his handsome face, all of it wet with sweat. It doesn't leave you indifferent, and you find yourself really staring at him, so much that you have show restrain as servants and guards come and go in the courtyard, and it surely won't do any good if they saw you drooling all over his superb physique as you think about what he can do to you all night lo. . . No, focus Freya, snap out of it.

You want to spend more time with him so you stay by his side for now. After a moment he turns to you with an evil grin.

>"Maybe it's time to show our Head Librarian that we still have the intellectual treasure of Thoreric, safe in a vault under this very castle." he tells you.

>"Yes, that's a good idea, but . . . You're doing this just to see how she will react." you say.

You just roll your eyes at him, but you agree with him. You go together to Gweyr's room and knock at the door before entering. Gweyr is sitting at her desk, filled with parchments and books.

>"Your hignesses. What can I do for you ? she inquires.

>"We have something to show. Come with us." Lazaarus tells her.

She looks at the two of you, intrigued, but obeys and follows you. The three of you walk the corridors of the castle until you reach a set of stairs going down, Lazarus take a torch and you follow him. It takes some time, and none of you are saying anything on the way, you have to admit that you are a little curious yourself. You finally reach a big door, closed by heavy locks. Lazarus stops and look at Gweyr.

>"Do you remember how you said I was a monster that destroyed priceless knowledge ?" he asks her.

>"Yes, I remember. And I still think that's the truth . . . With all due respects, my lord." she replies

>"Then I'm going to be happy to prove to you how right you are." he tells her with a smile.

He then starts opening the door, Gweyr looks at him with a raised eyebrow. Once are the locks are removed Lazarus opens the door and you all go inside. It's dark in there, you can't see what's in front of you, until Lazarus lit up another torch on the wall and suddenly all the other are lit up as well, you can now see the vault in its entirety and you can't believe your eyes. Shelves filled with books and parchments of high-quality paintings and tapestries, statues and other sculptures, and even a couple of columns of Tharque marble, symbol of the palace of Thoreric. A real treasure, and not only an intellectual one, all this must be worth a real fortune. You turn to look at Gweyr, her eyes are wide and her mouth hangs open. Lazarus turns to look at her with a devilish smile.

>"The treasure of the palace of Thoreric, I took everything that wasn't bolted to the floor before burning it. Centuries of knowledge and art are safe under the castle. So what do you think of my destruction ?" he asks her.

You decide to let Lazarus handle Gweyr's wrath, and only intervene if it goes too far. But seeing what's going on you may not have to do anything. Gweyr is fuming, she tries to stay calm but her anger is obvious in her voice, Lazarus on the other hand is really calm, he's smiling like a fool, really happy with himself, enjoying Gweyr's wrath. Everytime she "insults" him, he replies with an even bigger grin and tells her that there is no need to be upset as her precious knowledge is safe anyway, which make her groans in frustration.

>"And for the record, you accepted your role as High Librarian of the Drack Empire, so you'll have free access to all of this, so you can be sure no one can destroy it. Aren't you glad ?" he says.

>"Right. And I'm sure this isn't part of some master plan you may have, but as much as it pain me to say it, what you are said is the truth, I should be happy, this is a unique opportunity." she replies.

>"Exactly. Now I believe a vault under a castle isn't the best place to store such intellectual wealth, maybe building a great library would be the solution." he grins.

Gweyr suddenly storms out of the vault, going back to the castle you think, Lazarus is amused and chuckle, satisfied.

Would the Elf be at a better palce now? Would the Demi-humans be better of without this? Sure some or better said a few things in his conquest were unnecessary and only for his ego but like i told him i will tell you he is work in progress and i work on it. Everthing i did in the last two year i could only do because of him. You are too smart to thing the world would be without bloodshed if only Lazarus wouldn't be there, the northern Kingdoms would still fight with one another form time to time and you could count the Advances that would occur heere in your entire life span on one hand.

Do you remember back in the 2th week of September that there was one evening where things might have become a "little" loud? Well Lazi and I got into a little argument with one anthor and only one of us won that little fight no matter what he says he certainly didn`t won that fight but if you don`t belive me ask Irene and Shelur they saw in what state he was in afterwards. Come to thing of it they never ask me about it afterwards what that was all about.

Nothing can cheer you up better than tasty treats, so you decide to take Gweyr for a little trip into town. You tell her to get herself ready while you go back to your bedroom to put on some more suitable clothes. Once it's done, you join her at the doors of the castle and you leave together, without an escort since you're able to defend yourself. You choose to go to the bakery that supply the castle, and once inside you are immediately overwhelmed by the good smells of hot bread and tasty desserts. You buy several strawberry tartlets and berries and soft cakes with wild nuts while Gweyr get a big slice of blueberry cheesecake and a dozen of buterry biscuits. You sit comfortably to enjoy your desserts and start chatting, Gweyr seems much more serene.
