This is Boruto Quest, a quest set in the universe of Naruto. It is during the generation of Naruto's son, several years after I haven't kept up with the series beyond the end of the original one, so this one is intended to recapture the feel of that time of Naruto. I will not be incorporating the main show or the Boruto movie's plot into the quest, although some recognizable characters will be present.

You play as Takeshi. A highly capable Chunin, who is returning from years of training with Sasuke Uchiha. A new journey is starting.

As always, voting rules are as follows. Voting is typically completed following 15 minutes after the first vote. This may be subject to change according to activity.
>>
Your four man squad (plus Danpei) heads back to the entrance, together. Each one of you are careful to scan the environment as you pass, still wary of the cloaked man. Each of the bodies that you left behind are undisturbed, and as you leave the bloody hallway you don't see any steps on the path outside.

Of course, it would be easy for a shinobi to simply run on the walls or ceiling. But the exact nature of how he eluded your group still confuses you. For a brief moment you consider the possibility of immortality, but you're pretty darn sure his back was broken. Even immortals aren't immune to being paralyzed. Even if it was some kind of doppleganger, how would he move the paralyzed body safely? Unless he was already dead.

Inojin taps you on the shoulder. "Hey. I understand the confusion, but don't worry about it so much right now. I can tell by your face that you're overthinking it."

You sigh. "Yeah, that's probably true. It's just annoying to have one slip away, I guess."

"I could look for him, if you want." suggest Danpei.

He hops along beside the group, the ceiling too low to fly. You look down. "That's probably a good idea. Thanks."

Ai looks behind her shoulder to respond as she walks. "His little bandit operation is done with. He may try to flee the country."

S holds out a hand to the group, silently urging everyone to stop walking as you approach the exit. He kneels down, and peers out the door carefully. "I don't remember the fog being this thick when we entered... This is a jutsu, for sure. Everyone on your guard. Cover me."

The Grass Chunin steps out of the bunker, into the small clearing. Tall grass sways in the breeze all around. He holds up his mechanical arm, and it audibly charges for a moment before releasing a sharp ping sound.

You vaguely remember this aspect of his mechanical arm from the Chunin prelims. When Ai fought S, she countered his ability to fight invisibly with a smoke bomb to blind them both. However, S was capable of using his mechanical arm to detect her general location via soundwaves.

Suddenly, the sound of hissing air can be heard in the distance.

S leaps back through the doors with a tumbling roll, narrowly avoiding a number of kunai which embed themselves into the wall with surprising strength.

You're not the only one surprised, as Ai leans forward to inspect the blade. Most of it pierced the door completely, the widened base of the blade causing it to get stuck. "They threw it this hard... from that far away?"

S shakes his head. "I believe these are the weapons we were warned about. My arm pointed them out to be laying in the grass about twenty meters away, to the right of the exit here."

Looking at the group before you, several ideas form in your mind at once.

>A. Inojin, Ai. Use your ranged Ninjutsu to cover me and S as we split for a pincer attack. He'll turn invisble, and I'll use my speed
>B. Me, Ai, and Inojin will stay here and try to draw their attention with Ninjutsu. S, go invisible and sneak around.
>C. Inojin, Danpei, both of you go airborne and try to draw their fire and harass them. The rest of us, attack head on!

It's a tight fit, but Inojin is capable of drawing a bird large enough for him to straddle and fly. Danpei makes the first exit, swiftly taking to the air while Inojin's bird takes a few steps to get outside first. Once it spreads it's wings and begins to flap, he's quickly moving as well.

Several kunai zing past the larger target, but Inojin gets moving just in time. They attempt to track him and lead their shots, but Danpei interferes by firing off Wind Bullets into their general location. S turns and yells. "I'll circle around! You guys go straight ahead!"

S, you, and Ai all roll out of the door simultaneously. S gives the two of you a nod, and then goes invisible with his jutsu. The grass ahead of you parts suddenly as he leaps through it.

you form the seals for the Great Fireball Jutsu, and let loose a ten foot tall ball of flame. It roars through the grass, burning it to ash in an instant. It suddenly explodes, shooting up earth and debris all around it.

Before the smoke clears, Ai holds up both of her hands and points them to the smoke.

Her hands coat themselves in a bright blue electricty, and a steady stream of lightning-shaped senbon fire themselves into the cloud.

The smoke moves away, and the remnants can be seen. An Earth Wall was used to block your fireball, but Ai's lightning nature needles put holes in every inch of space. The grass behind the debris is smoking as a result.

Suddenly, S reappears over top of the enemies. He kneels down, as you and Ai quickly rush over. Danpei and Inojin are still circling the sky, looking out for any others. The Mist begins to clear.

S grumbles. "Well, they're not the escapee, but they did have these."

He holds up something that makes you gulp. It's the completed version of a prototype you saw years ago. Back then it was a mere handgun firing poisoned senbon, but this rifle is capable of firing kunai with enough force to pierce metal.

The two rogues are completely paralyzed. Their skin is covered in pin sized burns, from Ai's needles. The electricity can easily freeze your nervous system with a focused charge.

Inojin picks up the other rifle. "I suppose we'll be taking these to our respective villages. Lucky there were two!"

S stands up. "I suppose. I just hope my fellow Chunin got away... It's a bit alarming to not see them out here. They should have been able to handle these two goons."

Everyone is quiet for a moment, reflecting on recent events. You decide to speak up. "Well, we've done everything we can here, for now. Let's get moving."

S will lead you back to the border. Is there anything you want to say to anyone?

Your group begins to scan the area for anything else you might be able to find.

It doesn't take very long for Danpei to spot S's two ally Chunin, dead in the field. Everyone gather's around and examines the bodies. The most notable thing about them is that they clearly weren't killed by the men with guns.

One is bisected across the stomach, and the other was cut in half diagonally.

Everyone knows it could have only been the man with the scythe who eluded you.

The scene becomes tense and quiet. S stands up and walks a few steps away, taking out a cigarette and lighting it. The smell of blood and smoke intertwines, before the wind carries it all away. You find yourself looking just a little too long into the pools of blood, before Ai puts a hand on your back. She brings you back into focus. You rub the back of your head. "This sucks."

Inojin nods. "I wish we could stay and track him down more thoroughly."

S shakes his head. "It's fine. Not your fault. I need to escort you back to the border, and report back home. The fact that we recovered the tech is more important right now."

He turns back, and collects their dogtags.

The trip to the border is quiet. Your group and S part, as he returns home alone.

The three of you make it back by late night. Ai says that she'll write the report for the mission, and Inojin takes the rifle to Ten-Ten's shop. Exhausted, you head home. Taking a hot shower helps you to relax. As you step out, you look into the mirror and find a different person staring back at you. For the first time, it's apparent how much you've grown in the last two years. Now you stood at least six feet tall, although you're still fairly wiry. It's a different kind of musculature, however. Your muscles and the definition of your body is tight and supple, like a lithe carnivorous cat. Your face is lightly tanned and clear of blemishes, with a sharp jaw and focused brown eyes.

Sighing, you chuckle. Although you look a lot older, you don't feel all that different.

Waking up the next day, you're greeted by the smell of your brother cooking food. He waves, and offers you a seat.

Plopping down, he gives you a plat of grilled meat. You're not sure how he survives on just this, exactly.

He seats himself across from you. "How'd the mission go? Is the world finally rid of cultists?"

>A. A lot of weird stuff happened. We were technically successful, though.
>B. I'm not sure they really had anything to do with the cult. They did have the weapons like the mission said, though...

"I'm not sure they really had anything to do with the cult. They did have the weapons like the mission said, though..."

Hideki nods. "Weird. But didn't the weapon designs come from the cult in the first place?"

You take a bite of your food, and stare the plate while you think. "Yeah, but believe it was freely distributed. It wasn't designed to make the cultists stronger, it had been built to be modifiable and easily accessible. So that anyone could pick it up and do what they want with it."

He blinks. "It sounds like these guys never really had it in for the long run. They chose to stir up as much shit as they could, before it hit the fan."

You nod. "Yeah. I think that's part of what gave it so much support. It wasn't really about anything, it was just tapping into the anger of spurned people all over the world."

Hideki watches the TV, and sighs. The news is on, and headlines about the Mist's recovery fly by. It seems the various groups' infighting has come to a close. However, talks about reforming the government and deciding on a new Mizukage are still tense.

The sound of it in the background reminds you that they were largely meant to be kept as a secret from the public world, precisely for the dangerous nature of their philosophies. Something is nagging at you. A strange feeling of unease. Shozuku is trapped underground, and peace is slowly being restored to the area. Even if the damage done was harsh, in a matter of years things should be back to normal.

You're brought out of your deep thought by the sound of Hideki's plates clattering as he washes them off.

Finishing up your food, you prepare to leave. "I'm going to go find Hanto-Sensei. He has some new stuff he wants to teach me, one on one."

Hideki gives a small wave, silently.

That's all for tonight, folks. I'll continue tomorrow. Apologies for the shortness, I've been working a lot lately. I expect to start around 6 tomorrow.
>>
Hello everyone. I'll be continuing at 6

Piece by piece, you strap your various bits of gear on.

By now you've grow extremely accustomed to the routine, so donning your bodysuit and clothes only takes but a minute. Gathering your weapons, poisons, and other equipment takes you just a bit longer. All in all, you're ready to fight in less than five. For a brief flash you remember a time when you would have taken the better part of an hour preparing yourself, at times. When you were a young boy in the Academy, frantically trying out different weapons from your school. Giving everything a feel to see if you were any good.

Of course, back then you weren't. You were just a child trying his best, so while your classmates would stick to one type of weapon, you would branch out and try many others.

The result was, that each time you faced the other students in one on one, you lost...

Tightening your headband, you give your brother one last goodbye and head out the door.

Nothing of note happens on your way to the training field. It's still early in the morning, so not many people are out and about. Surprisingly, when you arrive, your sensei Hanto is already there. He's leaning on top of the middle log, of three posted in the ground. They're used for training purposes, as far as you know.

He grins, smoking in one hand and having a drink with the other. The air is chilly, and damp. The ground underneath your feet squishes slightly. He breaks the silence with a hiccup.

"Takeshi! Punctual as always. Are you ready to learn the ways of the.."

He briefly looks like he's going to fall off for a second, before righting himself. "The way of the dragon?"

You raise an eyebrow.

>A. You seem awfully drunk, sensei.

"I am. What's the first step, sir?"

He slowly stands upright, with perfect balance. "Well, my student, first thing's first..."

Hanto leaps down, so that he's standing directly in front of you. His brown eyes seem as alert as ever, although he's still slightly wobbly from being drunk. "I need to find out where you're at, exactly. Not just in terms of Taijutsu, but all of your capabilities. I have a pretty good idea of what you can do, but I'm sure your arsenal has grown considerably since we last met."

The man in front of you falls onto his rear, and burps. "Although, I'm takin' the kid gloves off now, alright? You're gonna get the same treatment Kichiro's been getting while you were gone. This'll be a good experience for ya.."

He slowly rights himself, standing straight and looking ahead at you.

You smile. "So, we can both go all out? I don't know if I'm really.. ready for that.."

Hanto stares you down. "I know. But this is for my conscience, so to speak. There are people in my league all over the world."

A little bit nervous, you relent that this is true. "Yes, sensei. I'm ready."

He slowly holds up his fists. "You know, Takeshi, without this gift that I have... I'd just have been another mediocre Chunin, probably."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXwSALy63N8

You were not ready.

You've only ever seen your Sensei unleash his full power on a couple occasions. The one most prominent to you is the time he fought of the Four-Winged Dragonfly in the land of Thunder. One of your first missions after becoming a Chunin, it deeply struck the gap of power between you and the top of the world in your mind.

Blue waves of flames radiate off of Hanto, and you leap back a large distance. Mentally, you sort through everything that you know about how Hanto fights. While he has a wide range of jutsu from all branches, he's clearly the most capable at Ninjutsu and Taijutsu. His family's NinTai style of combat is called Dragon Boxing. They utilize flames in close combat to enhance the power of their blows, cast jutsu, and propel themselves around.
>>
>>3957267
Your Sensei's version is a bit different though. The blue flames are a product of his unique chakra nature. Hanto's level of stamina and chakra are considered to be on par with a Jinchuuriki. Flames and wind blow your hair back, and the morning fog is easily cleared.

Despite the chaos, you briefly go through the nature of your Sensei's unique, blue flames. They're capable of burning or not burning at his will, and seem to impact with more concussive force than ordinary flames. A single one of your Sensei's true blows could obliterate your body.

He finishes drawing out power. The aura of blue fire around him suddenly whips forward as he lets loose jabs. Each one sends a blue lick of flame from his aura, which cracks into the ground you're standing on like a rapid fire whip. Each time you leap back, you narrowly avoid a small explosion in the dirt. Moments later, you turn and begin to dash at full speed in a circle.

What do you want to do?

>A. Use your hardened arms and knees to block a single attack, and then throw an exploding tag attached to a kunai
>B. Use Soften to coat yourself in a layer of soap, try to continue dodging.

In the time that it takes for your Sensei to lock onto your new speed, you cast a couple Jutsu. The first is a mass of Haze Clones. Easily more than a hundred. Thankfully, over time with your training, even large versions of this technique are cheap to cast. The upkeep has been reduced significantly since your chakra control has improved. The Haze Clones also run in a circle, surrounding Hanto.

The second jutsu you cast is Water Clones. About six. Just enough to momentarily distract him while you start to think of a different angle of attack.

Seeing your signature Haze Clones, Hanto spins once and unleashes a roundhouse kick. An arc of blue flames is produced, slicing through the air at high speed like a blade.

It passes through the Haze Clones, causing them to reform, and pops two of your water clones.

>A. Rapidly throw Senbon as you continue to avoid him. Use your remaining Water Clones as distractions.
>B. Have all of your Water Clones charge him from one side, while you attack from the other.

You feel that going for an early checkmate is a better gamble than slowly trying to wear Hanto down, through your usual methods. This decisiveness is a large reason for much of your success in combat. The ability to instantly recognize an action and react with a multi-phased solution is what earned you your spot as a Chunin in the exams.

It's what let you land that first strike on Mari, way back when you were a Genin.

Around 15 of your Haze clones break apart from the circle. They sprint towards Hanto. Taking no chances, he rapidly begins to unleash basic punches and kicks from the center of the formation. His blue flames fly with great speed, passing through the clones and destroying the scenery in the background. Trees and dirt explode from the impacts of his projectiles, and you even have to carefully avoid a few. Guiding the attack of the clones, you throw in a smoke bomb from beside them. Hanto leaps back to just outside it's range. At once, he slams both of his fists into the earth, a wall of flames crashing into the smoke and blowing it away.

As he stands back up, three out of four of your Water Clones were smashed as a result, but the rightmost one is leaping in with a ferocious, flying punch.

Having circled around to his back completely, you prime your jutsu. Ephemeral is prepare to be released as a trigger from your index finger. Rushing in once your clone makes it's attack, you stand crouched behind Hanto. The clone is obliterated by a blast from a side kick.

As Hanto places his foot back down to his neutral fighting stance, he happens to catch you crouching out of the corner of his eye.

Slowly turning, he barely has time to process what happens before your Ephemeral is cast.

The illusion successfully captures him. For a moment, the flames back off and Hanto simply stands there.

The Genjutsu is a vision of Ai suddenly breaking up the spar and telling the two of you that Naruto needs you for an emergency discussion. He should be returning back to the Leaf Village, by now.

Slowly, you approach with a kunai drawn to put to his throat. You honestly can't believe that you captured your Sensei this way...
>>
>>3957408
Of course, as if fated, the flames suddenly return. Your weapon is knocked out of your hand, and you're blasted off of your feet moments later. Hanto can be heard laughing.

"Great try! You know, I was never really that good at Genjutsu Kai. But it's helpful when you can just pump enough chakra into it to make it work... Your illusion almost got me though. Of course, you didn't know about my SECOND FLASK behind the log!!"

He points behind him, and sure enough, if you had no knowledge of him bringing a second flask, it wouldn't appear in your illusion. No matter the emergency, Hanto would always make sure to bring his back up flask, so when he didn't find it in the illusion he broke out of it.

You facepalm. You're not sure if that was pure luck or a genius ploy against Genjutsu on his part.

"Don't close your eyes!" he yells. Hanto goes through a number of seals, and fires off his own version of a Phoenix Flower Jutsu. Normally each one of the small fireballs would only do light burns, but Hanto's versions each impact with the force of a full-body drop kick. The dirt and wood of the trees is blasted off in chunks as they impact. You block one with your arms, but it sends you off of your feet and tumbling.

Staying low, you stare at your Sensei. He's only warming up, but it already feels impossible.

What do you want to do?

>A. Use a large portion of your Chakra, and use a new Owl summon as assistance
>B. Use a large portion of your Chakra for a massive Soap Spray. Coat as much of the field as you can.
>C. Use Soap Style: Soften to add another layer of defense, and try to cut his destructive effectiveness from afar by fighting him in close range.

At first, you try to get up and dash to cover from the torrent of fireballs. As you rise, another strikes you in the shoulder and flips you completely over. Slamming into the ground, you get up again, and turn to block the incoming attack. This time you brace fully, and it only lifts you off of your feet for a brief instance. The clothes on your arms are blasted away, but your steel-forearms are still fine.

He doesn't stop the flow, however. Another impacts your arms, and another on top of it. This one sends you flying and flipping yet again, barely managing to catch yourself with one hand and cartwheel to a landing.

Drawing off some blood from the corner of your mouth, you use it as tribute for the Summoning Jutsu. It's rare for you to ever do this. Summoning Majima takes more than 35% of your chakra pool. However, it's the only hope that you have of survival at the moment. Fair trade.

You duck under a fireball and slam your palm into the earth. An eruption of smoke flies forwards, and just ahead you see Hanto rear up and launch an axe kick. Bringing his foot down into the earth with a slam, he fires off a vertical crescent of flame.

Shutting your eyes, you brace for impact.

There's a sound of an explosion in front of you, but nothing comes. Only the sensation of wind blasting at your ankles. Cracking your eyes open and peeking through the guard, you find yourself looking at total darkness. Suddenly, Majima pulls his massive wings back.

Looking behind you, you can't help but smile in awe at the beast. Majima is Great Gray Owl.

He screeches, his anger directed at Hanto. The sound pierces your ears, seeming to vibrate the air.

Hanto can be heard laughing in anticipation. Without wasting a second, you leap onto Majima's back and hold on tightly. The massive owl, easily twice the stature of a large war horse, takes off with a single mighty flap. His colossal wingspan puts a shadow over Hanto as he flies above.

Majima shouts, "Hold!", and you know what to do. Gripping onto his feathers tightly, you slip on your wind-resistant goggles and hunker down. Majima does a corckscrew as he flies, casting a powerful technique. "Wind Release: Great Task of the Dragon!"

The weather above Hanto suddenly changes to a dark cloud after a few seconds, and suddenly a localized tornado explodes from the bottom. It twists after and turns to chase Hanto, who dashes around to evade it. The tornado impacts the ground, striking with a mighty explosion that sends debris flying through the air.

As Majima circles high in the air, you can't help but smile.

What do you want to do from here?

>A. Have Majima fire off a torrent of blade-like feathers
>B. Have him cast a Wind Jutsu while you cast a Fire Jutsu to combine them
>C. See how Hanto reacts to your new position, and observe. Use Water Style: Raging Waves if he tries to approach from the ground, and blast him back.

You use Chakra to hold on while standing up, and begin to perform seals. Using the strongest of your fire style techniques, you begin to inhale for the Dragon Flame Jutsu. At the same time, Majima takes a deep breath in for the Divine Mountain Wind technique. You blow first, a torrent of flames spraying out into the air in front of you, looking for something to latch onto.

The Dragon Flame Jutsu travels great ranges by riding the trail of something else. In this case, Majima's Jutsu lets loose a powerfully concentrated vortex of wind. It catches onto your flames, and the two mix to create a spiraling missile headed straight for Hanto.

You and Majima keep your breaths in sync as he dodges out of the way. Turning your heads to the side, the beam-like spray of fire tracks him across the training field, leaving bursts of scorched earth behind him. Finally, he plants his feet and thrusts both hands upwards, letting a concentrated stream of blue flame fly from his fingertips.

The blast crashes into yours, and the ensuing explosion causes Majima to fly a bit higher.

On the topic of new techniques and such, last thread gave me an idea: considering how sneaky our bubble bomb is, if we could make a jutsu to create many smaller bubbles, it have great synergy with hidden mist jutsu to create a 3-dimensional, very hard to detect minefield, especially if we also have haze clones out.

I really like the idea of alcohol mist and small projectiles made from strong bases that would get into the enemies body and start dissolving them and exothermically reacting with water from inside, though the latter would be VERY brutal.

Another nasty, lethal technique would be a mist of a strong base, because they don't hurt as much and as immediately as acids, enemies could have large parts of their bodies coated or even breathe it in before ever noticing what's going on.

Napalm-No-Jutsu would of course still be awesome and I want to learn it at some point, but I think researching offensive applications would be a very good idea.
They're more low-key than acids and their relative danger tends to be underestimated, even though they often cause more damage. Really fits Takeshi's character and fighting style if you think about it.

I like that bubble/Haze combo, that would be a great way to lock someone down or be able to track someone we can't see. Hopefully we can create lots of smaller bubbles
>>
>>3962815
That could be the basis for the eventual Bubble clone idea, just hiding a Bubble Bomb inside a haze clone and calling it bubble clone.

The only bubble clone I can think of is bubble buddy.

The red and blue flames dissipate, and you stare down at Hanto to see what he's doing. Majima has flown fairly high up now, so your Sensei is looking very small. He rears back a few steps, and then does a small leap forward before flinging his fists upwards. Quickly, you realize it's the Great Dragon Fire Jutsu. Instead of performing the seals, Hanto can simply cast it with his limbs. Giant dragon heads made of blue flames approach you and Majima like a hail of artillery.

The Owl swerves to the right and left, largely dodging the volley. A single fireball connects with the tip of his wing. It's only a glancing blow, but nonetheless unbalances Majima. You grip tightly as the wind rushes around your head, and your view suddenly goes topsy turvy. The owl does a single corkscrew and begins to right himself again.

At this height, you can easily dodge his attacks, but none of yours or Majima's can connect.

You'll have to go down in order to attempt an attack.

>A. Go down as fast as you can and let me off. We'll fight him as a pair

Real tough call. Not sure what we can do here, but this seems alright. Fighting a giant owl with your fists seems a lot harder than you'd expect.

Keep the sun behind us to make us harder to see, and the attack harder to dodge. Once we're down, engage him 2v1.
>>
So the longer we fight him the stronger he gets, he is also able to recover with the eight gates if we wear him down. Can we use the fatigue genjustu or poison him if we have the chance. He wil probaly notice the genjutsu and he has shown to be able to use the healing palm jutsu earlier. Its not impossible for him to use the poison cure jutsu if we give him down time.

He has enough chakra that he will probably be able to beat us in stamina if we try and fly above the trees whiles hes taking potshots and we cant see him. If we dive bomb him he has enough force to desummon our bird. So best to fight as a pair.

"Divebomb him! I'll attack from the ground!"

The sound of wind against your ears became deafening as Majima brought his wings in and began to fall straight down, like a missile. He narrowly twisted and turned with light adjustments of his wings, avoiding the waves of blue flame. Using the angle of the sun, it was possible to partially blind Hanto. The sounds of the blasts whooshing by your ears and feeling the heat on your body brings out more of your adrenaline. As the two of you come close to the ground, you draw out your Jet Sheath and begin to charge it. You slowly stand, using chakra to hold yourself steady.

It audibly beeps just as Majima spreads out his wings briefly, and you drop straight down towards the ground.

Majima swoops forward, bringing out his colossal talons to try and gore your sensei. You carefully keep your eyes forward, assisted by the goggles of the previous Owl Sage.

Time seems to slow down.

Hanto fires his fists upwards and releases a Great Dragon Fire punch, impacting your summon directly with the blast. The ensuing explosion actually sends the huge Majima backwards, arcing towards the trees behind you. Just as you were about to hit the ground, you unleash the charge on your Jet Sheath.

It launches you forward at a slight downward angle, and you give your sensei an overhead swing.

He had only just attacked a moment ago, and was still retracting his blow.

Hanto begins to lean back for a slight dodge, but you're in too deep and it's not enough. He uses the propulsion of flames from his heels to send himself back another couple of inches, narrowly avoiding your blade. You spin completely around from the missed shot, and your Tanto digs into the earth so deeply you have no choice but to leave it for the moment. You skid to a stop across from Hanto, and Majima crashes into the trees.

A few moments later, the summon walks out and screeches. Majima connects himself telepathically to you using the False Sound Genjutsu. He's been somewhat hurt, but is capable of fighting. He tells you to give him a signal if you want him to attack.

What do you want to do?

Hydro Sword and close in with speed. Tell Majima to keep him pinned with WInd Jutsus.

Seems a bit obvious, make it about something he's uncomfortable with to really fuck with him. Like, if he's got his eye on any girls in the village. Make it seem like a more obvious tap is in play than Majima, so he hopefully thinks we're setting something else up rather than just attacking him with a big bird.

Haze and Haze clones, give us a chance to regroup and grab our sword if it's not too close to Hanto.

Ideally we'd go full horror movie/Batman and sneak around until we get an opening

My only issue with C is that if he actually just goes after Majima and we lose the summon that's a big chunk of chakra gone.

Plus I just want to see what'll happen up close. We'd probably lose but this is just Hanto seeing where we are in terms of growth.

can we use a second genjutsu while we have false sound up? Is majima able to use any other techniques other than wind and some genjutsu.
>>
Don’t forget to recover the tanto if possible.
>>
>>3963468
Majima has false sound cast on you. You're not currently casting anything.

Majima knows these jutsu

Wind: Great Task of the Dragon- summons a tornado above opponent for a homing attack that explodes like a bomb

Wind: Divine Mountain Wind- a vortex of compressed air, best used for combination attacks with fire jutsu

Gen: False Sound

Tai: shoots razor sharp feathers as a projectile from his coat. Is also very big and strong, with a crushing beak and huge talons.

You hold your hands out for a moment. "Woah! Hold on!"

He lowers his guard slightly, blinking. "Huh? What is it?"

Keeping both hands up in the air, you keep talking. "How do you think I'm doing so far?"

Hanto cocks his head to the side slightly. "Uhh.. does this mean you wanna stop?"

"Oh, no. But, this is pretty hard. Do you have any advice on how to beat you?"

He shakes his head. Hanto starts to walk forward, clearly growing a bit tired of the conversation. As of now, it looks as if he's assuming you're trying to get a brief moment's rest by talking.

"S-Sensei! I heard something from Himawari the other day about you and Mirai-sensei!"

Hanto takes a quick drink from his primary flask, and again shakes his head. "Dude, I don't care. Tell me after I kick your ass."

He wobbles, looking pretty wasted. You wonder how much he was drinking before you arrived. In the brief moment that he stumbles, you give Majima the OK symbol. The massive owl flaps his wings once, casting Great Task of the Dragon. The storm clouds form overtop of hanto for a brief moment, before a thin tendril of a tornado is unleashed from it. The bolt of wind crashes in the place where your Sensei was standing, but he jumped into a back flip. He was now looking at Majima, dead on.

"Ish that a fucking owl!?"

Majima bats him with his wing, bouncing him to the ground. Hanto merely flips off of the earth and lands on his feet, staggering slightly.

It appears he's progressively getting more drunk. The three of you are now standing in triangle. Hanto deeply breaths in, and out.

"Okay, Takeshiii.. I'm gettin' kinda tipsy, so I'll hafta to finish this soon if you don't mind."

>A. You'll have to come at us with everything then, Sensei! (Use your Taijutsu along with Majima)

"Come and get me, then!"

It only takes an instant for you to create another horde of Haze Clones. Majima takes into the air as you vanish into the crowd, and create a dozen Water Clones as well.

Just as Hanto is about to begin launching attacks again, Majima swoops in, spraying a concentrated beam of wind at him. Your sensei blasts the attack back with ease, as fire beats wind. This gives you just enough time to use Soap Spray, coating him nicely.

It's actually much more effective than you might have figured. He drunkenly tumbles to the ground, burping as he lands. "Oh, jeez..."

He hiccups as he attempts to stand back up, slipping and falling. "Fuck!"

The sight tempts you to laugh, but you manage to hold it in. Majima comes swooping overhead yet again, as you prepare to have all of your clones rush him. However, Hanto suddenly shouts. "Knock it off! My stomach is upshet! Shtupid Shoap bullsit..."

He rolls onto his stomach, and lays on the soapy grass. "Searing Migraine!"

Your eyes go wide. Looking around, you're honestly not exactly sure what to do. "Get back!!" you yell. If he tried to pick you up now, you'd both get caught. Majima pulls up and backwards, attempting to get away from the impending blast.

Hanto's breath hits the grass in front of him, and the waves of blue flames roll along the ground like water. Suddenly, just before it reaches you, an ear splitting explosion rings out from the fire. It coats your entire body like an intense wind, but only burns slightly. Just enough to pop your water clones, and erase all of your Haze Clones.

If that attack hadn't been weakened so much by Hanto's ability to choose what he burns, you'd probably be dead.

He rolls around on the ground. "Shit!! Fucking help me! I'm done with this.. Where's my back-up flask!?"

Uh, were we supposed to learn something from that sensei? Because I'm honestly at a loss for the point of this spar...

The point of the spar was for him to see what we were capable of after the timeskip.
