Hello all. I’ll just state up front that IDK if this will be a thing regularly, probably not based on my past performance. I may even rotate quests if I feel like running. Other than that, life goes if not particularly well then not poorly either. Except somebody hitting my car, that sucked but that’s why insurance is there. Going to start with a bit of a recap, then get to the meat of the quest. Not sure on pastebin status, probably out of date but we’ll roll with what we have. Thanks for playing, as always. I’m also at work, so updates may be intermittent/slow until I’m home.

>Fate Point: 2
>Money: $25
>Equipment: Tier 2 Assault Rifle. Tier 3 Armor. Tier 2 Pistol. Tier 3 Rucksack. Tier 3 Bandoleer. Tier 1 Med-kit. Tier 2 Med-kit. Tier 3 Med-Kit. Tier 1 Toolkit. Tier 2 Knife.

Your name is Will and you are a mercenary, part of Morrigan Military Solutions, better known as MMS. Your life has been busy recently. Coming to New York form Selina Kansas was a major change for you, what with the fact that you could barely remember a time with more than a few dozen people in your life. After a somewhat long, exciting train ride where you learned such things as dancing and cuddling, Koko booked your team rooms at the Ritz in New York City. Koko of course had her reasons for this, as you went to a fancy party with her, dressed up in clothes of types you’d never seen before. After a some more dancing and a bit of shooting people in the face cause they were trying to kill you first, Koko and you went to sell some guns. Of course this was all part of Koko’s plan to get kidnapped by some “bad people”.

You were taken along with her, where you encountered Sophia. Sophia tried to get you to answer questions for her and was pretty nice until you said no. Then she had you beat up. Not very well or very long but it stung. Then Morrigan and the rest of MMS came along with Koko’s team to save you. You managed to escape, found Sophia attempting to escape with Koko and talked her into letting Koko live in exchange for her own life. You had to fight her to get her to stop but in the end you captured her.

Morrigan was less than thrilled with Koko about all of this, at least until you were all told what the reason was for all of this. Sophia was part of a group that was going to disrupt something called an “Inauguration”, you still don’t know what that means, and Koko wanted to stop them. To that goal, Koko had you interrogate Sophia, who told you about where all her friends were in a big house in the country. Which MMS and Koko’s people promptly raided, shot most of the members and captured a few who surrendered, including one crazy knife lady Mary fought. You also gave Koko a big pile of papers and a broken plastic tower which had some bits inside.

In the process, you, Morrigan and Nem were all shot. Nem and Morrigan were worse, with three broken ribs and some internal bleeding for Nem, Morrigan having a through and through in her side. You just looked like you got punched repeatedly as your armor took the blows. Of course that meant recovery for all of you. With Koko still going through all the stuff you found, that was fine. Except of course that Nem and Morrigan were the least calm people you knew.

It’s been a few days since your mission now, your own wounds largely healed, equipment cleaned and replaced and you’re in New York.

>Go check and Nem and Morrigan to make sure they aren’t aggravating their wounds. Again.

>Go check on Koko and her team in the basement, see if you might be able to help.

>Go find the rest of MMS to see what they’re up to.

You decide that it’s probably for the best if you go check on Nem and Morrigan. Nem is always trying to do stuff she shouldn’t even while uninjured and Morrigan is always just a bit testy if she’s forced to do something she doesn’t want to. If she wants to sit for hours that’s fine but not if someone is making her.

Thankfully Koko shelled out money for additional rooms when you were injured, some of her team taking woulds as well meaning it was for the best. You make your way from your room with it’s overlarge and rather soft bed to one on the floor below, which you know is set up for two beds that are at least a little firmer.

Opening the door with a key that Koko gave you, you find that Nem and Morrigan have largely followed your directions not to move too much. They have of course readjusted themselves and by the bottles they have on the side tables it looks like they raided the fridge but nothing terribly strenuous.

Nem appears to be asleep at the moment, even her body needing more energy to fix the broken ribs she has. Morrigan is awake, staring at a magazine in an utterly bored manner. She looks up when you enter.

“Will, come to check on us again?” she asks as she tosses the magazine to the side.

“Yes,” you say as you nod. You checked her bandages earlier in the day but you go down and sit next to her once more just to make sure. It looks clean and you’ve got at least an hour or two until you’re supposed to change them again.

“I’ve been good, I promise,” Morrigan says with a bit of a snort, “I want to get up and out of here as soon as I can.”

You nod and look back to her face, which is largely calm, if bored and looking for something to do.

“Do you have anything planned for the day Will?” Morrigan asks you.

>You were planning on making sure her and Nem were ok, possibly everyone else.

>You were planning on spending time with the rest of MMS.

You shake your head no in response to Morrigan’s question. “Just making sure you heal,” you say to her.

Morrigan sighs, laying back slightly and resting her head on her pillow. “That’s what I thought. Not really a whole lot to do around here. No TV or even a radio to listen to.” Closing her eyes for a moment Morrigan looks back up at you and shakes her head. “Course if all of that stuff was here then I suppose we’d never have met. At least not like this.”

You nod. You don’t exactly remember all of the stuff Morrigan is talking about but you’ve been both slowly learning about things you’d forgotten and remembering a few more things as time went by. Not that it made you really miss them like she did sometimes. Even the “refrigerator” in your rooms was something that was quite interesting to you, given that you could actually have ice when you wanted it.

Morrigan simply shakes her head again, wincing when she moves her head just a bit too far on one of them.

“I fucking hate getting shot,” she mutters, glancing down at her bandaged side.

“It hurts,” you agree.

“I hate the sitting around more, the pain I can deal with,” Morrigan says.

You know she’s been shot more than once before, when she showed you her wounds and then when you saw her in the shower. She’d been shot more than you had, though she’d been a soldier as well. Not like you.

“Anything I can do?” you ask her.

Morrigan looks your way, then looks around the room.

“Fuck I don’t know Will. I guess you could go grab some food for us. It’s a bit early for dinner but I’m feeling munchy. Maybe some booze?” She raises her eyebrow at you, since you’d stopped her from drinking one night because of the drugs. She’d not been happy about that.

>Food and booze is fine. Morrigan and Nem can drink.

>Food and some booze. Not very much booze.

You pause for a moment, thinking. You know what Nem and Morrigan are like when they’re full of booze, which isn’t all that conducive to being quiet and sitting down. They like to wave their arms around and do things. A little bit shouldn’t hurt all that much though.

“I’ll go get some food,” you say to her, standing from the bed. There apparently is something called “room service” but it’s expensive and Koko said you had to go get your own food. There was also something about not trusting people with the power to order all the booze they could drink.

Morrigan raises her eyebrow at you questioningly.

“And some stuff to drink,” you say, knowing that’s what she’s really after.

“Thank you Will,” she says, as Nem rolls over slightly and mutters in her sleep.

Making your way down to the main area of the hotel, you find yourself one of the few people around at the moment. Dinner really starts in an hour or two so it’s easy enough for you to get a hearty meal for both Nem and Morrigan, along with two bottles, one for each of them. Not so much that they’ll get blind drunk but enough for them to enjoy themselves.

Waiting for the food to cook, having ordered some for yourself as well, you find yourself looking around to see if you notice anything. Unfortunately it seems that to go along with the no people there’s not really much to do around the place. At least until you see Koko make her way out from one of the back areas that seems to be where she likes to do business.

You figure that you have a couple minutes before the food is done if you wanted to go talk to her, she’s been rather happy for the most part since the whole kidnapping thing. Or you could just wait, she’s still a bit strange.

>Go talk to Koko for a bit.

Though you know Koko pretty well by now, at least as much as you think anyone knows Koko, you decide to not go talk to her. She is quite strange, like the time she got in the shower with you because she felt like it and had you wash her back. You’re still not sure why she did that.

A few minutes later you get your food, along with your booze and some other things on a tray and take them back up the elevator to Nem and Morrigan’s room. When you make it there you find Nem now awake, with Morrigan having actually stood up a little bit and in the bathroom when you arrive.

“Damn Will, that looks great,” Nem says as you carry over her meal and deposit it on her bed for her, “Even booze!”

“Just a little bit,” you say to her but Nem merely seems pleased about the fact that you have any at all instead of the amount. She’s been a little bit down about her ribs since she got shot.

You hear water moving and then Morrigan comes out of the bathroom a minute later, with you already digging into your food.

“That smells good,” she says as she grabs her tray, favoring her side a little bit but not as much as she had been before.

“Some booze,” you say, pointing to the bottle.

Morrigan grins and starts to dig in as Nem swallows a mouthful.

“You know, I could get used to this,” she says with a grin, “Sitting around in a nice hotel and getting food and booze brought up to me.”

“You’d be bored within days Nem,” says Morrigan around her meal, “Hours maybe if you weren’t hurt.”

“I don’t know, I can enjoy myself like this,” Nem says, “Find me a nice boy toy and break the bed in, eat sleep and enjoy myself.”

Morrigan simply shakes her head at Nem and takes a swig of her drink as you all dig in. You’re not sure what a boy toy is but it’s not the first time Nem mentioned one.

“What about you Will?” Nem turns to you, “Do you think you could live the high life like this?”

You pause, confused for a moment.

“Nem wants to know if you could sit around here not doing much all day,” Morrigan chimes in.

>Well… it’s nice to relax sometimes.

You almost immediately shake your head at that. Sitting around and not doing much isn’t something you really like to do. Being useful is important, sitting in bed isn’t.

“Bah, Will doesn’t know of the finer things in life yet,” Nem says with a grin on her face, “I’m sure I could convince him into a life of hedonism.”

You’re not sure what hedonism is either but from the way Nem is grinning you’re pretty sure it’s probably not something you’d actually enjoy.

Morrigan snorts. “Yeah, you get Will to do that and I’m going to join a convent and stop drinking.”

Nem starts cracking up at that, some of her food flying out of her mouth before she covers it.

“Haha… hahaha… That’ll be the day Morri,” Nem snickers a few more times until she starts wincing, “Ow, ow, ow… fucking ribs hurt.”

Morrigan chuckles at that as she finishes off the last of her meal. “Serves you right,” she says to Nem.

“Yeah yeah, fuck you to,” Nem says in reply.

As you finish up your own meal, a question lingers in your mind. You’re not sure what a boy toy is and Nem has never clarified. Plus it seems somewhat important to whatever she’s talking about with Morrigan.

“What’s a boy toy?” you finally ask, taking a last swig of your drink.

Morrigan’s face twists in a way you can’t quite describe, looking between you and Nem.

Nem’s face simply lights up, a grin coming onto it before she suddenly frowns as Morrigan starts to glare.

You simply look back and forth between the two of them, waiting for an explanation or a reason why you can’t know.

“You get to explain this one,” Morrigan finally says, “I get to explain enough already.”

Nem simply tries to grin wider, mostly just making her look silly.

“So a boy toy is… well...” she pauses, trying to think her answer through, glances of help towards Morrigan firmly rebuffed.

“A boy toy is a friend you can have when you’re a girl… they kinda come over and hang out with you a lot of the time and you uhm… can have a few drinks and mess around a bit. Enjoy each other’s company, work up a sweat you know?”

Nem glances back to Morrigan once more, who simply shrugs and shakes her head.

You’re not sure if you quite get it but you think….

Nem’s description is less than helpful to you, as she didn’t really describe what a boy toy was, merely a set of conditions. Which you can work with of course but you feel that there should be a bit more context. Thinking through your past experiences takes a few seconds but in the end you think you understand it.

“So am I Cath’s boy toy?” you ask, trying to make sure that you understand what Nem is saying.

Nem and Morrigan both freeze for a moment as you look between them. Morrigan’s face goes white while Nem’s lights up bright red, she bites her lip and then she starts to shake.

“W-w-what?” Morrigan manages to choke out as her face goes from white to red, “No, no that’s not it at all.” She turns to look at Nem. “Nem! Explain further before I have to choke the life out of you!”

By this point Nem is clearly trying not to laugh but largely failing as she grips her own ribs and rolls back and forth.

“Oh… my… god…!” she says between harsh breaths, “Cath… Cath! With a boy toy...” Nem continues to chuckle for a few more minutes before Morrigan manages to bean her with one of her pillows.

“Okay okay!” she says, still fighting off laughter. “N-no Will, you’re not Cath’s boy toy. It’s… it’s not that kind of sweat.”

You take in that little bit of information and then try to fit it in.

“So… am I Morrigan’s boy toy?”

Morrigan’s face goes really red at that and Nem immediately breaks out in even more laughter.

“Y-yeah, totally!” Nem says at the same moment Morrigan shouts “NO!”

Hearing each other speak at the same time, the two look at each other. Morrigan is turning a color that’s not quite red while Nem immediately breaks out in loud cackles while at the same time letting out sounds of pain that she just can’t seem to stop.

Having finished her meal, Morrigan stands up and jumps on Nem, attempting to strangle her despite Nem still laughing.

“What the fuck Nem! Don’t go putting stupid shit in Billy’s head!”

“B-but i-if you just asked…”

“No!”

“You saw his big… ack!”

Nem lets out another cry as Morrigan seems to actually get a grip on her neck.

The closest thing to a "harem" he's going to get is if he just sticks around with MMS and they all just hang out with each other like they already do. So more a girl posse and the one dude.

Your first and only thought about the matter is that you really need to break things up before Morrigan or Nem hurt the other or they re-open their wounds. You stand up in one smooth motion and move to grab Morrigan.

“Ack! Will… help!” Nem cries in an exaggerated fashion as Morrigan’s hands remain around her neck.

“Morrigan...” you say as your hands wrap around her waist, starting to pull her away. You’re prepared for a fight but it really doesn’t take that much effort for you to do so. It seems like she was either just playing around with Nem or perhaps she doesn’t want to struggle against you at the same time.

“Fine, fine Will I’m good,” she says as you get her just halfway off the bed before you stop. She glances at you from right next to your face.

You both look down as Nem lets out a laugh and holds her hands up ina rectangle.

“Oh how I wish I had a camera right here,” she says to your confusion and causing Morrigan’s face to turn red.

“Nem, shut up!” she says as you finally let go of her and she stands, wincing a little bit as she brushes her side but still going to sit down.

You glance between the two once more but it appears the excitement is over for now. You grab Morrigan’s pillow from the other side of Nem’s bed and bring it to her, placing it behind her back as she leans forward.

“Will, how long until we can get out of here?” Morrigan asks you, “For real, it’s getting pretty boring up here.”

You ponder, looking between Morrigan and Nem.

>You both need a little while longer. (Time skip till both are healed.)

>Nem needs a few more days, Morrigan is probably ok now. (Time skip to later tonight.)

>You can both move around if you’re careful but you might get hurt if you aren’t. (Time skip a few days.)

Close contact and using Will as a walking aid is go.

Boo, Will needs some love man
>>
>>3965362
Not going to argue that Will needs some love but he still doesn't know what that is yet and most of these girls have their own hang ups, so no harem. Doesn't mean Will won't have a lot of close female friends.

Na, the obliviousness is the best part. The day he gets a handle on romance/sex is the day I stop reading.

Too many nice girls for Will

Thank you for putting your foot down Guide. Harem ends suck in something that clearly wasn't built up to be a harem in the first place. Feels like a cop out.
Lets face it if Will does ever get with anyone its almost assuredly going to be either Morrigan or Cath.
>>

Cath is best girl, I will fight anyone who says otherwise
>>
>>3967576
I'm pretty tied between Cath and Morigan
>>
>>3967576
Cath was my favorite early on but at this point I think Will and Morrigan have much better chemistry.
>>
>>3968041
Agreed. My ideal endgame would be Will and Morrigan with Cath as a doting big sister.
>>3967576
That said, best girl is clearly blanket, in all her many glorious forms.
>>
>>3967576
I like Mary...but Bell, Cath, and Morrigan are very nice.
>>
>>3968041
Will ends up spending more time with Morrigan due to her being in charge and being a better social teacher. Cath is great, but there's not much for Will and her to do together in public, as neither of them are exactly people-persons.
I actually think Will and Cath are a better fit, but we don't have as much reason to hang with her as with Morrigan.
>>

Morri is best girl.
>>
>>3967576
I like Cath since while she and Will don't talk often they seem to have the same sort of troubles and I can see them leaning on each other to slowly heal themselves, Morrigan to me just seems like a big sister figure to Will.

Guide has gone out for cigs again hasn't he?
>>
HOLY SHIT IT'S BACK!
>>

You are more wrong than an orgy in a retirement home, because Morrigan is best girl.
But I love all you glorious bastards and it's good to see Guide back.

He's just getting some milk, he'll be back, any minute now.

Hey you're back!

Guide have you ever thought of starting a Discord so you don't disappear into the ether between threads?
>>
>>3990064
God I hope not. Discords are always cancerous.

That's what twitter is for.

>Guide has faded away again
I don't think Will will ever find someone to share blankets with.

any minute now...
