Magic has returned to the world. Miracles are commonplace, beasts and dungeons have spawned everywhere and mystery has died. Empires have risen through the turmoil and adventurers are the norm. There’s no chance for peace in the new world. You are Wilhem the Blacksmith, a newly minted adventurer who entered the Yorktown dungeon. Last time, you made a mysterious set of armor named Nanook, took the first steps into creating a blacksmith shop and started dungeon crawling to kill some monsters and make some goodies to sell. You and your partner Elisheba were attacked by a group of Goblins who seem to be backed by a mage.Archive: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?tags=GlassStarQMPastebin: https://pastebin.com/u/GlassStarQM
>>3915088What type of mage are you dealing with? Goblins are no stranger to magic or religion as far you know but this is beyond their pay grade. Eli is forced to dodge and flee from a barrage of fireballs that aren’t letting up and some Goblins were invisible. Are you dealing with some high grade Goblin right now or is something else helping these things? You have to find out right now before things get nasty. Magic is too dangerous to ignore and you’ll pay with it dearly if you let yourself get lost in combat. You can’t do anything with the Hobgoblin is in your way. You have to charge right through the Goblins littered around in front of you and take down the big guy is quickly as you can. No doubt that’ll keep most of them from trying to fight you. You take a starting position. You grip Lagun as hard as you can and aim for your target. You feel like your leg muscles are engorging themselves as you take your first step and charge right to the Hobgoblin.None of the other Goblins were able to hit you, none of them were even able to see you. They didn’t notice where you were until the Hobgoblin started screaming in pain as Lagun ripped straight through its forearm. It was loud enough to make the other Goblins flee in terror. You can’t let this opportunity go to waste, you... > 1. Let go of Lagun and pull out Forkfu to finish the job > 2. Test out your new strength and try ripping off the Hobgoblin’s arm > 3. Test out your new strength and fling the Hobgoblin at the other Goblins> 4. Test out your new abilities and use Battle Roar
oh yeah by the way, sorry i wasn't able to properly end the quest last time, i'll try to pace myself better and make more time to run this quest
>>3915090> 4. Test out your new abilities and use Battle RoarBig Bear Boi
>>3915090You let go of Lagun and get ready. The Hobgoblin wastes no time and grabs you by your head. Looks like it doesn’t want you to run away? Or maybe it's trying to crush your skull? Who cares. They should’ve let you go. It would’ve saved them from this. You take a deep breath and scream at the top of your lungs. Your voice is supposed to be different now. If it’s anything like the bear, then this should hurt. The sound of your shout travels through the forest. The Hobgoblin’s ears rupture and bleed as he lets go and holds them in agony. The surrounding Goblins are disoriented and can’t properly move or stand. The fireballs that were trying to hit Eli stopped. Did that mystery mage get hit by your shout too?You make sure that Eli is okay before continuing. She heard your scream but it didn’t affect her hearing, she wasn’t hit by any of the fireballs either. You’re relieved that she didn't get hurt. You pull out Lagun from the Hobgoblin’s forearm and firmly planted it in its heart before walking towards the mage. It's still invisible but your senses are painting a clear picture of what's sitting behind that tree. Their heartbeat, their sweat, their panting. “You’re no Goblin” you say to the invisible mage “You don’t reek of shit and piss”> 1. Try to communicate with the mystery mage> 2. Order them to show themselves right now> 3. Kill them now> 4. Stay silent and wait for them to make their first move
>>3915090> 4. Test out your new abilities and use Battle RoarI hope this will go well
>>3915421> 1. Try to communicate with the mystery mage
>>3915421You gesture at Eli to keep her distance. You want to try something and you don’t want this mage to get spooked. She listens but she looks prepared to cutdown whatever it is you’re standing in front of. Is she worried? Or does she sense something that you don't?“So, mind showing yourself? I’m pretty sure you’re a human like me. Don’t know any monsters that can use spells as good as you.” you cross your arms and wait for a response.“...How’d you find me?” you finally hear something. Their voice sounds soft. Is the mage a girl?“This armor does some wonders for me.” you more you talk to this mysterious mage, the more you get an outline of what they look like. The mage is a woman, but something in the back of your mind tells you that there’s something off about her. Is that a warning? “How’d you control the Goblins?”“Magic.” she gives a vague answerYou roll your eyes “Can you at least tell me why you attacked us?”“I was hungry.” she bluntly saysThe comment baffles you she’s putting way too much effort in trying to rob someone when she can mind control Goblins and fling fireballs at people. Something doesn’t seem right at all. You’re starting to notice more things about her though. She’s not straining herself but her panting heavily and her heartbeat is irregular. Hungry doesn’t sound like the right word, she sounds like she’s dying. That off feeling about her is getting stronger by the minute. For some reason, the word human doesn’t seem right to you. You don’t think she’ll tell you more and it feels like she still might attack. What should you do?> 1. Offer her food.> 2. Leave her be.> 3. Convince her to let you help.> 4. >>3915720“We can help you. That’s kind of our job.” you say. The mage doesn’t seem to be going for it, they still have their invisibility up and you can feel their hostility. Doesn’t help that you sense more Goblins around you, they must be on standby. You decide to chance it. You take off your helmet. “Look see? I’m not your enemy. I’d be glad to help you.” you start taking off your armor. “WILHEM. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” Eli is screaming at you as she marches towards you.“ELI STOP! I GOT IT.” you scream at her. This is probably a stupid idea but hey, fortune favors the bold. Thankfully Eli listens but she’s getting more frustrated by the second. You’ve completely taken off Nanook and thrown Lagun aside. You’re mostly defenseless but you feel you can focus more without the armor on. You sit right next to the mage. “I almost died when I was little. I was a few short breaths from burning away but I still wanted to live for some reason. Everything was just, painful, I lost everything, but I didn’t want to die, I still don’t get why.” you sigh“What I’m trying to say is, I get it. You’d do anything to survive and I don’t blame anyone for that. So please, do what I did. Accept the help and live a day longer.” you plead. For some reason, you can tell that the hostility has gone down, even without Nanook. The mage does away with her invisibility and shows herself. You get why you felt so strange about her, she’s unlike any mage you’ve seen before. They’re a weird bunch of course, but she’s something alien to you. Discounting the animal features, her wardrobe is completely foriegn to you. It’s strangely familiar but you can’t quite put your finger on it.Enough starring, you introduce yourself “I’m Wilhem.”“Kyu.” she gives a one word answer. Well you weren’t expecting completely trust but you’re getting somewhere.“You wanted food right? I’ll get you something from storage.” you say“That’s not food to me.” Kyu saysOf course it’s not. It had to be more difficult for you.“I need something magical. That’s the only thing that can give me the energy to get out of here.” she saysMagical? She was spamming spells like no one’s business and that’s her running low on energy? And she eats magic to stay alive? If that's true, then what was she going to do with you and and Eli if she succeeded in her attack? Was she going to eat you? Has she been doing this before? You’re starting to think it wasn’t the best idea trying to help someone that may have killed you. Can’t back out now though, you made a promise. How should you go about this?> 1. Give Kyu an escape crystal> 2. Convince Kyu to follow you to a safezone> 3. Find a monster with the magic to energize Kyu> 4. Ask her how she consumes magic
>>3916512> 3. Find a monster with the magic to energize Kyu> 4. Ask her how she consumes magicIf you only want one then il pick number 4 as we gota know what she can eat.
>>3916560> 4. Ask her how she consumes magic
>>3916512“How do you even eat?” you ask. The potential cannibal aspect of this might make you reconsider helping.“I don’t eat people if that's what you’re thinking. I’m more like a mosquito. I drain some mana and I’m on my way. I’ve done it before but let them go afterwards. Though it’s starting to give me something of a reputation here.” she saysSo she’s done in people before huh? Well that rules out taking her to a safezone. In the off chance that someone recognizes her, you’re going to be in a heap of trouble and you won’t be able to promise Kyu her safety. “Why adventurers and not… You know… Monsters? And aren’t Dungeon’s supposed to be magical too? It should be a goddamn buffet for you.” you say“Most monsters here are Goblins, Hounds and Wasps. Barely worth anything. And I already tried eating from the Dungeon. Let’s just say that I’d rather starve to death than do that again.” she says. That last part sounded incredibly ominous. You do take notice about the monsters she listed though. She didn’t mention monsters like Elementals or Golems. Those things are chock full of mana, it should be enough to get her on her feet. But if she wasn’t able to find any on this floor, then you’d have to dive deeper into the Dungeon. Eli might not be alright with that too, she’s already shooting daggers at you as is.You have options. But how much are you willing to trust this mysterious woman? Magic wielders are some of the most fickle people you’ve ever known. She looks tired and pale now but what happens when she’s at full energy? It doesn't help that she looks and acts unordinary to you. What to do?> 1. Let Kyu drain you of most of your mana> 2. Give Kyu an escape crystal> 3. Dive deeper into the dungeon and try to find a monster for Kyu to eat
>>3917034Dive deeper into the dungeon and try to find a monster for Kyu to eat
>>3917034“Kyu, do me a favor.” you say “Don’t attack anyone else that comes your way. I’m gonna get you some food so you won’t have to do that anymore.”“Why should I trust that you’ll come back or succeed?” she says“I made a promise and I have a really reliable person with me. If I really do come back empty handed then you can drain me dead. You’re going to eat win or lose.” you sayKyu smirks “Good luck then Wilhem. I'll see you soon.” she says before she vanishes into thin air. You think that went well.Eli finally walks up to you. You thought she’d be mad at you but her expression softened during your conversation with Kyu. She must’ve heard everything.“Was that true? What you said to that fox lady I mean?” Eli says“Absolutely. I made a promise, that matters, especially if it's to a lady.” you say as you put on Nanook once again.“No, not that. I mean about almost dying. What was that about?” she says“Oh. Yeah that was a lie.” you say“It didn’t sound like one.” she says“It was a lie.” you say. “Wilhem-” she says“It was a lie.” you repeat.Eli doesn’t say anything else. She finally got the message. You don’t talk about that chapter in your life. You only brought it up to Kyu because you feel like she would understand and it would be the only way to get through to her. Everything in the past should stay in the past. No one but you should care to remember. You walk up to the Hobgoblin corpse and kneel. If you’re going to go deeper into the dungeon, you should make a weapon for the occasion. 1 Hobgoblin and 15 Goblin corpses give or take. The amount of blood in these things should be enough to make a new weapon. Or you could upgrade Lagun or Forkfu. But with the amount of monster specific bodies you have with you, you can make an impressive anti-Goblin weapon. Decisions, decisions. > 1. Upgrade Lagun> 2. Upgrade Forkfu> 3. Make a new weapon (What kind of weapon?)> 4. Make an anti-Goblin weapon> 5. Save the bodies for later

>>3917484You’re reminded of Conor as you inspect the bodies. The first weapon you sold since starting your adventure was an anti-Goblin shortsword. You can picture it perfectly as though you made it yesterday. A weapon like that should be nothing but beneficial to you.You gather up all the bodies into one place. You pull all the out blood from the bodies and heat it. You mix and mash the carbon and iron until you’ve made steel.“I don’t trust the fox woman.” Eli says“Didn’t peg you for the type to be jealous of other women” You break and condense the bones as you speak“Be serious Wilhem. She attacked us indiscriminately. And what’s this about needing to eat mana? What’s with the tail and the second set of ears? She might as well be a demon.” she says“Not like she actually hurt us or killed anyone.” you mold and shape the bone. You focus on your smithing and hope Eli drops the conversation. You opted in for a shortsword. Perfect for cutting down Goblins and it was about time you made something other than a polearm.“You’re not listening!” Eli says frustratedShe breaks your train of thought, “Look, I made a promise and it's not that big a deal that she attacked us. I can I can fill a book with the stories about the people that tried killing me and Gramps for much less. At least Kyu had a decent reason for it.” “You aren’t getting it Wil! I could only sense depravity in her and we’re going to help?!” she’s almost screaming at you. She’s trying her best to convince you to abandon Kyu without ordering you.You sigh. Eli is starting to sound like a Crusader the more she talks about Kyu. You know she has a point but for some reason it’s annoying you. You grab a piece of oak lying on the ground and you shape it into a handle and a sheath, you used some steel in the design to make it look pretty. You wrap and layer the skin around the sheath, handle and bone. You fuse the bone to the handle and use whatever steel you have left as coating for the bone. You look Eli in the eye “Eli, if it’s any consolation, if Kyu seriously hurt you, she wouldn’t be breathing right now. If she does anything to make me regret helping her, then I’ll personally put her down.” You sharpen the blade“So please. Can you help me at least?” you sayShe sighs “If you’re really not backing down, the least I can do is help you follow through.” You’ve managed to convince Eli but why is she so antagonistic about Kyu? Isn’t she all about helping people? It’s completely unlike her. What did she sense in Kyu that you couldn’t? Something to think about later. You have other pressing matters, like what to name your new shortsword.> 1. Orcist > 2. Orcbolg> 3. Beagalltach> 4. Other (write-in)

How do get deeper into the dungeon?” you sayEli thinks “As far as I know, there are certain entrances that lead you up the dungeon. Didn’t peg you to be such a sore loser.”“Oh so that’s how it’s gonna be huh? You are so on then. Loser does what the winner tells them to do.” she saysYou’re getting pumped up. You don’t even know what you’re going to make Eli do when you win. You’ll decide later.“ALRIGHT CONTEST STARTS NOW!” you yell as you push Eli down and run for it. Cheap trick but that's how winners are made. She’s already up and gaining after you “THAT WAS A DIRTY MOVE WILHEM!” she yells at you.You unsheath Florence Bounty. She’s just waiting to be tested out, there’s no better time than now. Now that you think about it, you haven’t actually examined its abilities yet, you were too busy to actually pay attention, pretty sloppy on your part. Better late than never. You concentrate and look through the enhancements.[r]Light: Florence Bounty will glow when in the presences of Goblins. It will glow brighter as you get closer to one.[/r][r]Goblinsbane: Something about the sword makes it more effective against Goblin. Gains a bonus when used against a Goblin[/r]Light huh? You’re pretty sure you added that ability to Conor’s sword. This will most definitely give you an advantage in your competition. Combine that with Storage that just gives you more room to carry things and Nanook that gives you an inherent advantage in this forest, there’s no way you can lose.Cont.
>>3920022You lost. You keep underestimating Elisheba, she’s something fierce. Even with all your advantages, she still got one over on you. You’re completely lacking in fighting prowess and she’s a master class at it. You make too many unnecessary movements and take too much time crushing monsters. She’s elegant and focused, none of her attacks miss a beat and she never falters. That must be the difference between someone who derives strength from themselves instead of you who derives strength from weapons. Thankfully none of the monsters were able to hurt either of you. All they were able to do was slow you down or tire you out for the 3 hours that you were running around. Florence Bounty was incredibly helpful when dealing with Goblins, 1 swing could take out 3 of them easily. Hobgoblins we aren’t even a problem for you anymore. With that being said, Eli somehow killed more than you. You haven’t the faintest idea how that’s even possible and how she moved them around but you’re impressed nonetheless. You got 25 Goblins and 4 HobgoblinsEli got 26 Goblins and 5 HobgoblinsYou were able to fight and grab some Slimes. They melt when you kill them so you need a bottle to grab them. You can make them easily, Eli can’t, that put you ahead. You got 11 Slime bottles. Then came the Hounds and the Wasps. You always hated them with a burning passion so it was a good stress reliever. Thankfully, Forkfu and Lagun gave you the range you needed to kill those shits from a distance and Nanook gave you the strength and instinct to end it quickly. However, Eli was simply much better at dealing with them. You got 11 Wasps and 10 hounds Eli got 27 Wasps and 25 hounds You were snapping a Hobgoblin’s neck when Eli finally found what looked to be the entrance to the next floor, a door in the middle of the forest. That was enough to end the competition and tally everything up.cont.
>>3920024“I WON, I KNEW I COULD BEAT YOU!” Eli is gloating at you“Shut up… Just… Shut up….” you’re pouting“Aw c’mon, don’t be a sore loser.” she’s pinching your cheeks“JUST…. TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT!” you shout“Fiiine fine. Ehm… Why don’t you just carry everything?” she saysYou look at the pile of monster. “Seriously?” you say. “What? Too much?” she says“Too little. Not like I wasn’t gonna do that if I won.” you admit“Hmm… Yeah you’re right, I should ask for something else.” she says trying to think of something, “Can I give you an answer later?” “Eh, sure why not.” you say“Great!” she’s really pumped up “I’ll make you regret giving me this second chance!” “I REALLY doubt it now.” you say. You grab all the bodies and put them in storage. You don’t know the exact weight of all of them but it’s pretty heavy, surprisingly not heavy enough to slow you down though. Either you’re getting stronger or the armor has enhanced your strength by a considerable margin.Well. Now onto the door. Though, thinking about it, you do have some monsters to use now. All round upgrade> 6. Other (write-in)
>>3920774> 4. Make it self repair when in contact of Goblin's bloodIts a sword for goblins and itl be te poster sword of the goblin range
>>3920774Can Nanook get an upgrade? No, not possible, you’ve already thoroughly checked it once before. You didn’t use much materials and ingredients in making it but there isn’t much you can upgrade with what you have now. Unless you want to get cosmetic with it which is entirely pointless and a waste of resources.May as well upgrade Florence Bounty since you’ve got a graveyard’s worth of bodies on you. It’ll lighten the load. “You mind if I do some work before we go in?” you ask EliShe sits down, “Well I could use a break, so work away.”Perfect. There’s nothing wrong with planning ahead either, a better sword is never a bad idea. You unsheath Florence Bounty, it already looks dull and chipped, you did use it a lot so it's to be expected. Maybe you should do something about that so you don’t have to worry about the quality of the steel?Florence Bounty is an anti-Goblin shortsword. You aren’t a fan of making weapons that can do everything in a mediocre way, there’s no need for that, you’d rather make weapons that can do one thing perfectly. With that being said, you decide to focus solely on the anti-Goblin aspect of the sword. You start taking out Goblin bodies and melting them down. 4 or 5 won’t be enough, with each consecutive upgrade, you’ll need more bodies to make any meaningful change. You keep stacking bodies up and melting them down, it's taken you 3 minutes before you find that sweet spot. You’re holding a red ball of mass in your arms, looks too big for a shortsword so you might have to condense it.You crush the ball of mass as hard as you can and begin layering it onto Florence Bounty. It’s sparking and crackling as you wrap it around the shortsword but thankfully, the size remains unchanged. You reshape it and cool off the molten steel. It looks completely unchanged but the modifications are apparent to you. You give Florence Bounty a good few swings before sheathing it, you feel proud of yourself. It might be too self satisfying but you don’t think you’ll ever meet someone who’s 1/10 as good as you.Lost 30 Goblins and 3 HobgoblinsRegeneration: When Florence Bounty is coated in Goblin’s blood, the sword will automatically repair and sharpen itself. It’ll never go dull so long as it's being used to kill Goblinscont.
>>3921189“ELI! Let’s go.” you yell at her She quickly picks herself up and you both head to the door. Last time you went through one of these you fell straight into a forest so you should probably prepare for a bumpy entrance. You open the door “I went in first last time so it's your turn.”She doesn’t argue with you, she just rolls her eyes and goes in and you follow, a bright light envelops you as you go in.Your eyes readjust. No fall or bumpy landing, when you make it out, you find yourself in a forest once again. You look behind you to see that the door is still there, and marked with the number 2. Little on the nose but at least you know you made it up a floor.“I was expecting something different.” you say disappointed“It might look similar but the monsters in this place are probably stronger. We might be fighting something stronger too so it won’t be a walk in the park like last time.” she saysShe has a point. The atmosphere here feels different and Nanook is shooting you more warnings. >>3921193“Don’t you think we should find a safezone? I think it’d be safer and smarter.” Eli tells youYou’re ignoring her. You’re getting some warnings in the back of your head, like it's ever going to be an easy stroll in here. Before you can warn Eli, you start hearing some faint music in the distance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bYldqEjOUA&t=111sIt’s strangely calming and familiar. Where have you heard this before? Regardless, its forcing you to lower your guard. “Hey do you hear that?” you ask Eli“Hear what? All I hear are birds chirping.” she saysOf course, the armor is giving you the hearing so it's probably a far ways off. “You mind following me? I think I found something interesting.” you say“Uh, yeah sure, just lead the way.” she saysYou let the music guide you. As it gets louder, it vibrates through your body and you feel empowered, whatever fatigue you felt from working or fighting is being slowly drained away. “Do you hear something now?” you ask“It's pretty faint but I think so? You think we’re nearing a safezone?” she saysThe stench of monsters is increasing but you don’t feel any danger. There’s no way where you’re heading to a safezone but you don’t think you’ll find any conflict “I think we’ll find another adventurer at the very least.” you sayEli starting to look less worn out as you get closer to the music but she’s starting to get a headache. Looks like you’ve made it.Before you could get closer to the source of the music, Eli spotted a Hobgoblin. She unsheaths her shortsword and charges straight for it but she stops midway through her attack. “What are you doing! Kill it right now!” you’re shouting at her.She sheaths her sword and stares at the Hobgoblin “Its ignoring me.” she says “I don’t think it even knows I’m here.”“What?” you’re completely bewildered You and Eli make your way to the music, you see monsters surrounding the area but they’re ignoring you. They’re just staring into the direction of the music or resting. You find the source. A young man sitting under a tree and fiddling on a lyre. He hasn’t noticed you or Eli yet. What is he doing? What should you do?> 1. Kill the surrounding monsters> 2. Walk up to the young man> 3. Go talk to him yourself and ask Eli to stay out of sight> 4. Leave
>>3921514> 1. Kill the surrounding monsters
>>3921514> 3. Go talk to him yourself and ask Eli to stay out of sight
Rolled 2 (1d2)rollin for what to do
>>3921666Im gusing once he stops playing then thr monsters will start attcking us, so lets not stop the music
>>3921812Well he can signal to use if that's the case. Also our character is a bit autistic so this is what I figure he would do.
>>3921514“Eli, go hide somewhere.” you say“What why?” she says“I’m gonna go talk to that guy. We don’t know what he’s capable of and we’re surrounded by monsters, so better for me to go than you.” you say“No! Are you crazy?! I’m not letting you go alone!” she shouts“Eli it’s smarter this way. You’re much stronger than me so if things get hairy, you’d have the element of surprise. It’ll be fine I promise! You’re super reliable!” you sayShe begrudgingly accepts the plan but she still looks worried as she leaves to find a hiding spot. You don’t expect this to be easy or to get away unscathed so you’d rather yourself getting hurt than Eli. You take off your helmet and walk up to the lyre player.“Hello?” you try to get his attention. He has his eyes closed as he’s playing, almost looks like he’s doing it in his sleep. He jumps a little when he hears you, “Oh hi! Sorry I was taking a nap.” Your jaw drops “That is the coolest fucking thing I’ve seen all day.” “Oh you mean this? Ah it’s whatever, just a little party trick.” he keeps playing as he speaks “I’m Musaeus by the way.”You’re still amazed by the man’s abilities “I’m Wilhem! Really nice to meet you.” you try to shake his hand but he nudges away to try to stop you.“Oh sorry.” you say“No no, I didn’t mean to be rude but I’m kinda occupied and I can’t really stop.” he saysThis man keeps impressing you more and more. “Oh no it’s fine! I get it! A guy like you must get really into it when they’re playing music.” you feel like you’ve met a kindred spirit.“No I mean I literally can’t stop, if you haven’t noticed there are like 100 monsters surrounding me right now. If I stop playing I die.” he saysYou look around “Oh. Yeah I see why that would be a problem” you say“I’ve been here for 2 days now. I got lost and started getting chased around by Wolves. I got cornered so I had to start playing to keep them docile. It sorta snowballed and now I’m just… stuck.” he saysYou stroke your chin “Have you tried just like… walking away?” “YES! I HAVE! THEY KEEP FUCKING FOLLOWING ME! IT ATTRACTS MORE OF THEM TOO! CAN’T EXACTLY BRING THEM TO A FUCKING SAFEZONE CAN I?!” he yells at you“Right right, sorry. Well I can just kill them all. They don’t seem to mind me walking around” you say“Yeah I would NOT do that if I were you. Violence like that snaps them out of it.” he saysWell this is a problem. You can’t exactly leave him, he’s too impressive a guy to leave high and dry like this. But what can you do with all these monsters surrounding you? Can you and Eli even kill this many and still keep Musaeus alive? He doesn’t seem like the fighting type either. What to do.> 1. Brainstorm with Musaeus > 2. Kill every monster here> 3. Convince Musaeus to run for it
>>3921872> 2. Kill every monster hereLet Eli know the plan, she works from the edge, and we protect Musaeus and bring him to Eli where we run to a safe zone or back to level 1.
>>3921878 2. Kill every monster hereFucking called it
>>3921878Get close to a safe zone and if we can get peoplw to come out ans healp us that would be ausomes.Or if the lvl 1 door is clos er that would be good but only if thr monsters cant go though it.
>>3921883>>3921899Don't get me wrong, that's what I'd normally do, but I didn't think our character would do that, especially considering all the weird choices and actions hes done recently.
>>3921903I mean the other option would be to have him keep playing and we go and get help for him.But im down to slay them all.We could give him the got out of jail card we got.
>>3921904>get out of jailand miss a potential recruit for our party? Heck now hes gonna be a pack nuke for our stuff at least.
>>3921912Then he could come find us, as we are the best maker ever.
>>3921872“ELI GET OUT HERE! WE’RE GONNA DO A THING!” you yell out.She quickly jumps out from the forest. She shows off a bit and does a front flip as she makes her landing. She already has her sword and spear in hand and looked geared up to fight. Musaeus immediately stands up after seeing Eli.“Well hello there Miss.” Museaus says. “Very sorry I can’t greet you more politely right now, I hope the music I play is to your liking at the very least.”“Eh it’s lovely actually, thank you.” Eli looks at you “What’s going on right now?”“He’s called Museaus and he’s been trapped her for 2 days. We’re gonna save him cause the moment he stops playing, every surrounding monsters is gonna murder us.” you explain“Well we’re happy to help Museaus.” she smiles at him “We’ll get you out of here however we can.”“Oh thank you! And you can call me Muse love.” he says. He’s acting much more friendly with Eli. You’re kinda jealous, you want Muse to that friendly with you.“Enough small talk, get between us Muse, I don’t think you can help that much so we’ll protect.” you sayMuse chuckles “You’re wrong there Mr. Wilhem. I might not be able to fight but my music more than makes up for it, I can assure you.”Museaus stops his song. The instant he does you feel a chill run down your spine. Hounds, Wolves, Bears, Trolls and Goblins come out from the woods and charge at you, they’re in a frenzy. You know for certain that there are more monsters making their way for you or waiting. You don't know if you can take them all. “GET READY!” Eli yells at you as you both take a defensive position. Museaus just smiles and starts picking once again.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTLunRuCGQQThe music flows through your body. It’s pure ecstasy, you feel so empowered, so energetic, like you could take the whole world down with your bare hands. Whatever fear or doubt was in you before is quickly washed away.> 1. You meet the monsters head on> 2. You stay and guard Muse> 3. You charge through and make an escape path> 4. You stand your ground
>>3923360> 3. You charge through and make an escape pathForce em into a bottleneck.
oh by the way, not gonna run the quest Friday. Sorry but I'm going to be occupied, I will continue it Saturday. It was weirdly hard to find good songs with lyres, not entirely sure that I picked a lyre only album so I might have to do a few things when it pertains to the music
>>3923376That's cool, everyone needs to take a break once in a while.Music is fine, but a bit off from the situation, lets chalk it up to him running out of music or songs to play after two days.
>>3923497really? thought the first song was super energetic.

>>3923628You’re too excited to play it safe. You burst straight through the fold of monsters. Eli has more self control and stays back to protect Museaus. You couldn’t hear anything, not Eli’s voice, not the cries and wails of the monsters charging towards you, not even your own heartbeat. The sound of music enveloped you. With Lagun and Forkfu in hand you swing and jab and pierce and puncture anything that tries to come near you. The Wolves and Hounds were near the front and your biggest victims. They stood no chance as you mowed them all down to try to push through and kill the Trolls and Bears behind them. You couldn’t reach them. You were sent flying through half a dozen trees. The music lets go of you and you’re back out of it. Something hit your left arm. It wasn’t broken but the force was enough to dislocate your shoulder. It was enough for you to scream in pain.Eli wanted to run and help you but she’s preoccupied and trying to defend Museaus from the wave of monsters and Museaus is in his own little world as he continues strumming his lyre. You finally see the massive Goblin staring you down. It’s not a Hobgoblin, it's far too big to be one. It’s armored and wielding a rusted Claymore. What now?> 1. Flee and run towards Muse and Eli> 2. Drink a healing potion> 3. Try to relocate your shoulder and fight the massive Goblin> 4. Fight it right now one handed> 5. Try to focus on Muse's music once more

He’s much faster than he looks, he keeps slamming his Claymore at you, a direct hit from that could do some serious damage. You’re able to barely dodge away all of his attacks but you’re drawn farther and farther away from Eli. Pretty soon you can’t even see her, it’s become impossible to hear Muse’s music, did he do this on purpose? The Goblin stops his barrage of attacks, almost waiting for you to make the next move. If you can’t rely on others then you have to fight for yourself. You quickly take out a healing potion and chug it down. For a split second you’re in intense pain, it feels like your body is ripping itself open. The feeling quickly leaves you, your shoulder is back in place, almost as if you were never hurt.Your fatigue from the day is quickly evaporated after drinking the potion. You feel like you just woke up. You’re in perfect fighting condition. You prepare to fight. Sadly, when the Goblin hit you, you dropped Lagun, not like you could hold it. You still have Forkfu on hand and you might be able to quickly end it if you draw Florence Bounty but you aren’t sure if you’re fast enough to draw it, the Goblin looks ready to attack if you start moving. Not even getting into the surrounding monsters that you can smell around you. Things don't look that good for you. What to do?> 1. Let the Goblin get close and roar> 2. You wanted to draw it in as close as you could without being attacked and you wanted it to think that you missed your attack so it wouldn’t get suspicious if you stayed in place. You notice some Goblin dressed up in robes holding their hands out. You faintly hear them recite some jumble of words. Are they using magic right now? What the fuck kind of monsters did Museaus attract? You aren’t letting this stop you. That massive Goblin is picking itself up faster than you expected, you aren’t staying trapped. You tighten your grip on Forkfu and focus. You feel the strength of Nanook flow into your right arm. Your muscles feel enlarged. If you let them finish reciting their incantation then you don’t know what’ll happen. You lunge at the first one. You pierced through its stomach with Forkfu, it didn’t have enough time to struggle. Easy kill but the 3 others are on the other side of the field. You have to be quick, they still haven’t finished muttering to themselves. You burst through to the next target, you put all your power into your legs and try to be quick, you’re already seeing a few other monsters gathering around and that massive Goblin already looks like it's back to normal. You made it to the next Goblin and backhanded its head clean off. 2 more to go.Your next run is troublesome. You see 2 trolls try to block your path. You don’t have the space or control to move past them so you have to rip through them. You point Forkfu forward, you hope you don’t break her. You run straight through the trolls, their bodies cut in 2. They slowed you down but not enough to stop you from making it to another Goblin. It cast something before you crushed its skull in but it must’ve missed, you don’t feel any different.Onto the last Goblin. You run as quick as possible, you get the feeling its incantation is close to finishing, it has to die now. Before you could make it, a Hound manages to bite your arm and wrestle you into the ground. You kill it easily but more Monsters get in your way. You quickly try to kill and run through everyone but the massive Goblin stands in your way. It looks infuriated, you try to run around it but there's no point, it’s too fast. You hear the Goblin Shaman stop its incantation. It flings something at you. A fireball. It’s too fast to dodge, you’re surrounded and too big to block. You don’t move. The monsters flee so they don’t get hit by the attack. You look into the direction of the attack and stand in place. The fireball engulfs you.Nanook’s leather and fur crackles and burns, the metal sparks and glimmers. You take off your helmet, you let the fire consume and cover your fast. Why were you so afraid of it in the first place? You finally run to the remaining Goblin Shaman. None of the other Monsters try to stop you, they don’t even move. Were those things in shock because they’re seeing a dead man move? Or are they too scared to get in the way of the burning man?The Goblin Shaman couldn’t even begin an incantation. You grabbed it by its neck so it couldn’t say anything anymore. You let the fires on your body engulf the Goblin. It slowly burned away, its own fires are what killed it. All the Goblin Shamans are exterminated. The fire is beginning to spread across the forest, it’s stopping the other monsters from fleeing or taking cover. You don’t really care, you’re starting to think its a blessing in disguise. Every monster in front of you will burn away.> 1. Kill the massive Goblin> 2. Kill the remaining monsters> 3. Rage

You stare into the burning and dying forest, watching as everything falls and breaks and incinerates, did you cause this? No, no you couldn’t have. It wasn’t you, it was them, it was those rabid beasts they did it to themselves. This can’t hurt you anymore, but why does this feel so painful? Why do you feel pity? Why do you feel like breaking down? You’re doubting yourself. You walk deeper into the forest fire, you let yourself be bathed in it further until every nook and cranny of your person burns. No one here deserves mercy, they deserve to burn. You lunge straight from the forest like some hungry beast straight to the monsters. How many are there left here? 30? 40? Who cares. You drop Forkfu in the chaos, it doesn’t matter, you won’t need it for what you’re about to do.You crush and kill the monsters barehanded. You rip off the jaws of the Hounds, if they don’t bleed to death or die from the shock, they catch on fire and run around until they fall limp. Trolls apparently have some regeneration, not like it matters. You don’t try to hit them, you toss or kick them into the fire and see how far that regeneration keep them glowing. You were stopped by that massive Goblin, it tried to cleave you in half but you dodged it easily. It would’ve hit if it had gotten closer but it’s trying to keep as far away from you as possible. Why don’t you change that? You rush the Goblin, it starts wildly swinging at you as it backsteps. Its attacks seem much stronger than before, it looks much faster too, did something enhance this thing when you weren’t looking? Oh well, it doesn’t matter anymore. You grab its claymore during one of its failed attacks, you pull it as hard as you can and make the Goblin fall to its knees. You pounce onto the thing’s shoulders. The Goblin catches on fire and screams. It moves sporadically trying to get you off, it's completely hopeless. You jam your fingers into its eyes and blind it, you move it right towards whatever monsters are in the way. They try to flee as the Goblin crush and swats at anything and everything in front of it.It tried to take off its armor in its rampage but you made sure to melt it into its skin, didn’t stop it from trying though. It tried to take its armor off but the fire fused it right onto its skin. It struggled for 3 minutes until it finally keeled over and its body reduced to ash.You want more, you aren’t even close to finish. You look around to find your next target. You don’t find anything. You run around searching for more monsters but you find nothing. You run for miles in search of anything at all but all you can find is a burning forest. What are you doing here again? You must’ve forgotten. It probably didn’t matter.Cont.

>>3932895“Can I go work with you?” you ask himGramps scratches his head “I don’t know about that son, it really freaks you out to see me work.” “It won’t happen anymore! I promise! I’ll man up and get through it!” you try convincing him“I don’t need any help either way. Not like you can help even if you knew what you were doing.” he says“I just wanna see you work old man! C’mon!” you start begging“Fine. But you gotta go to bed right now, and stop calling me old man.” he ordersYou’re ecstatic. You won’t lie, you do get freaked out seeing Gramps work, that must be why he only works at night, but if you can get over it, then you can at least make Gramps’s life easier. Why stop there though?“Hey Granddad!” you say “I’m definitely gonna be like you I swear!”He looks dejected when you say that “Wilhem. Be something better.“ He leaves the room. What did he mean by that? Did you hit a nerve? You don’t have much time to think about that. Sleep quickly takes you.Cont.
>>3933133“What a weird thing to remember” is the first thing you say to yourself as you wake up. What’s with you and all these weird dreams lately? You’re in some unknown room. Last thing you remember is fighting off a bunch of monsters and trying to save Musaeus. Where’s your armor? Where are your weapons? At least you have some clothes on. As you get out of bed, some stranger quickly enters“Oh good! You’re awake. So you were just sleeping.” the stranger says“What?” you’re bewildered“You’ve been here for a day sleeping off a tough battle you and your friends were in. Thankfully you were just dead tired from the fighting so we stuck you in a lounge.” the stranger explainsThere are a thousand things running through your head at once and this explanation is just giving you a headache. What should you ask?> 1. Where’s Eli? > 2. Where’s Muse?> 3. Where’s all my stuff?> 4. What happened when I passed out?
>>3933134>Where are my companions?>Where’s all my stuff?>What happened when I passed out?Did William dump everything he was magically holding or did they both have to drag us back?
>>3933134What happened when I passed out?
>>3933134“What happened when I passed out?” you ask“Oh, well as far as I know, some monster started a fire in the forest and you passed out.”You clench your chest “Wait you didn’t see me naked right?”She blushes “WHAT?! NO! WE DIDN’T EVEN BOTHER WITH THAT!”“Oh thank the almighty” you’re relieved She recomposes herself “But on that note, you really didn’t need any help, just some sleep.”“Was that weird?” you say“Well you were on fire.” she says“Oh. That’s not a big deal to me” you retort“Fire isn’t a big deal to you..?” she’s bewilderedYou start stretching “I’m a blacksmith. Either I get used to it or find a new job.”“Well the person who dragged you here didn’t get the memo.” she says“Hmm?” “Some redhead went in and dragged you out of that forest fire. She was pretty tired and injured as is but she still went in to get you.” she explainsYour stomach dropped. You run out of the room and try to find Eli. What have you done? You should’ve been more careful with yourself. You should’ve stayed with the group. Now other people are hurt because of you and you got off scott free. You run around the entire safe zone trying to find Eli, you don’t talk to anyone, you don’t look around, you just run like a mad dog trying to find your friend. You start hearing some faint music in the air. It’s enough to ease your nerves.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifQ3JRS4gqcThere’s only one person you know who has that type of ability. You run towards the music. It’s coming from the some infirmary. You burst straight through the door and run through every room. You finally find the source of the music and with it, you find Eli. She’s awake. She’s laying down on a bed flipping through a book while Musaeus sits next to her while fiddling on his lyre. She’s alright.“Goddamn it Eli…” you’re panting from all the stress and runningShe finally notices you at the doorway and looks ecstatic “You’re awake!” > 1. What the fuck happened?> 2. Are you alright?
>>3934065> 1. What the fuck happened?
>>3934135Also are the bodys there for us to loot?
>>3934151i'll add that answer in
>>3934065> 1. What happened?Stop swearing so much, we're a blacksmith, not a sailor.
>>3934065She’s holding a book but her arms are covered in bandages, you see some burn marks under those covers. Is that from carrying you? Muse doesn’t have any visible injuries, he doesn’t even look like he needs any medical attention, he looks like he’s only here to serenade Eli. You feel awful that you may have inadvertently hurt her but you’re thankful that she was there to bail you and Muse out.“What the fuck happened?” you ask“Wil, your tongue is going to fall out if you keep cursing like that.” she says“ELI BE SERIOUS! YOU LOOK REALLY HURT!” you yell“This is really nothing! Just some burns. It’ll heal in no time.” she says“You won’t need to worry Wilhem. I’ve been working overtime to heal Miss Elisheba.” Muse says“He’s been playing music for me since I got here. I didn’t think I’d need it but he insisted. I’m thankful that he did, listening to him play has done some wonders for my recovery.” she says“Music heals the soul. I’m doing my part and speeding up the process and providing some much needed company for the Lady.” Muse saysYou scratch your head “Seriously, can you just tell me what happened?”“You were chased away by a Goblin Champion, exceedingly rare on this floor but my music must’ve attracted him. Apologies by the way” Muse says“It’s fine, I managed to kill it.” you say“Yeah but neither of us knew that. I wanted to chase after you but Muse had no way of defending himself and we were surrounded so I was stuck.” she says“Again. My apologies.” Muse says“You weren’t useless Muse. Honestly, your music is what made it so easy fighting off those monsters. Barely got a scratch on me. I went through about 100 monsters before the forest caught on fire.” she says “All the monsters ran after that and Muse wanted to run too but I knew you were still out there so I went in to look for you.” “She slapped me after I suggested leaving you” Muse whispers to you“I found you face down on the ground after 5 minutes of looking. I was scared that you might’ve gotten hurt or worse but you didn’t have a scratch on you. Muse thankfully didn’t run and was able to lead me to the safezone”You scratch your cheek “Yeah I’m a little uh… resistant to fire… Should’ve mentioned that before I’m sorry, you honestly should’ve just left me.”“I would’ve gone in either way Wilhem. I’m just glad you’re alright.” she says “Oh! I almost forgot. I took your weapons with me! I knew you’d throw a fit if they’d have gotten lost so I made sure to grab them on my way out. They didn’t look like they were in the best condition so some blacksmith here offered to fix them up”You grit your teeth because of that last comment. You refuse to let some 3rd rate blacksmith mess with your weapons but you can’t exactly leave to go get them now. You’ll swallow your pride for now.Cont.
>>3934588“OH! That reminds me! What about the monster’s bodies?” you say“Burned to a crisp. They’re useless now. The dungeon also has some strange properties that eat away at whatever bodies are left here for too long so they’re probably gone by now.” Muse says“DAMN IT! Well at least we managed to save you Muse.” you sayMuse looks ashamed when you say that “I’ve caused you 2 so much trouble since we’ve met. I feel like I must repay you so we can be even at least.”“Well you’re using that lyre of yours to heal Eli right? Just keep doing what you’re doing and we can call it even.” you say“Well, truth be told, this process would be going along much faster but my lyre is in a pretty shoddy condition. Fixing the thing would keep her in bed longer so I may as well just play with what I have.”Shoddy huh? Instruments are an easy build, it should take you a few seconds to fix. Would be pretty interesting to see what that lyre of his is made of. Although, you can just give Eli a healing potion and be done with it. What to do?> 1. Fix Musaeus’s lyre> 2. Give Eli the healing potion
>>3934589> 1. Fix Musaeus’s lyre
>>3934589Fix the lyre
>>3934589Fix Musaeus’s lyre
>>3934589“Give me the lyre, I’ll fix it in a second.” you say“You can do that? I thought you were more of a fighter.” Muse says“No and I thank the Almighty I’m not, I’m pretty shit at it, especially compared to Eli over there.” you say“I wouldn’t say you’re a bad fighter…” Eli says under her breath“Yes I am, don’t pity me. But that’s okay because I make up for it by being the greatest Blacksmith. Everything I wear or wield is made by my own hands. It makes me a halfway decent fighter” you say“What does blacksmithing have to do with fixing lyres?.” Muse saysYou’re a tad bit annoyed by that comment, Eli notices and jumps in, “Musaeus, don’t argue with Wil about blacksmiths, he’s going to start yelling at you. I think you could trust him with repairs. He’s not clumsy and he’s really not the type not over exaggerate his abilities, he treats everything he makes and handles with the care it needs I promise you that.”Muse sits on your offer for a few minutes. You’d be lying if you said that it was just out of the kindness of your heart that you wanted to fix the lyre or for Eli to make a speedy recovery. Muse is the real deal with his music, you want to know if that lyre of his plays a role in those abilities.“Alright, let’s do it” Muse reluctantly agrees “Just changing the strings is enough.” Muse hands you the lyre“Don’t worry I’ll do-” The moment you grab his lyre, you fall silent. You hear a word echo in your head.Sirens> 1. Say the word outloud> 2. Keep quiet and analyze the lyre for more info
>>3935762Keep quiet and analyze the lyre for more info
>>3935762> 2. Keep quiet and analyze the lyre for more info
>>3935762“Something wrong?” Muse noticed“N-no nothing, just thought I saw something, sorry, I’ll get to work” you sayWhat was that? You thought you heard something but you keep hearing that word, Sirens. That word, you’ve heard of it before. They’re Monsters that hypnotize and kill their victims through their beautiful songs. Is his lyre made of Sirens? Maybe that’s why you thought of Sirens. You have to find out more. You clean the grime and filth off the lyre and try to map out the details. The bridge, the tuning keys and the metal details on the instrument are all made out of steel, the arms are made of oak, the one thing off about it are the strings...“Have you been using hair for the strings?” you say“Oh! Thank you for reminding me! Almost forgot to give you the most important pieces.” he pulls out some strands of hair and hands them to you “You really have an eye for detail, didn’t think you’d notice.”Eli looks horrified “You use your own hair as strings?”“Eli, you wear dead animals as armor, don’t look down on the music man.” you retort“THOSE ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS!” she shoutsYou roll your eyes and keep working. You twirl his strands of hair together to strengthen it and cut off the old strings. It looks like he only used one strand of her for a string so doing this should keep him from doing repairs for a while. The arms look bent so you straighten them as much as you can’t. You aren’t the best with tuning so you just attach the new strings on and leave it for Muse to decide how he wants it.As you do that, you continue analyzing the lyre. Minus the hair, it looks like an ordinary lyre but you can tell that there’s much more to it than meets the eye. You go deeper and concentrate harder to try to figure out what makes this instrument so special. You don’t like the idea of not being able to completely understand everything that falls on your lap. This lyre is no different.Nothing. You found nothing. There’s nothing to this lyre that can connect to these Siren monsters, as far as you know, it’s “normal”. You give Muse back his instrument but you don’t hide your disappointment. Thankfully he’s too distracted with the work you did on his lyre to notice. He looks quite happy with your improvements. At least you did one thing right but it’s still not enough for you. You still keep thinking of that word. Sirens.> 1. Say Sirens outloud> 2. Ask him about his lyre and musical abilities for more answers> 3. Drop it

>>3937185“This looks fantastic Wilhem! It would’ve taken me hours to do this and you did it in under a minute. I should’ve had more faith in you.” Muse praises youYou ignore his compliments. You can’t stop thinking about that word. You have some idea about what it might be, it could explain that missing component, but the only way to really know is to say Sirens outloud. But if you do that, you might face some unknown consequences… Oh well, only live once right?“Well time to finish what I started. I dedicat-” “Sirens.” you cut off Muse“What?” Eli says“What?” you repeat“You just randomly blurted out sirens, what about them?” she says“I just…” you look around and nothing strange has happened “nothing.”“Are you alright?” Eli sounds genuinely worried. Were you really that tactless? You sigh. Were you actually just hearing things? You can’t be losing your touch right? Must’ve hit your head, that’s the only explanation “Alright Muse… Sorry for interrupting, do your thing.” You look at Muse as you say this and you notice that he’s turned completely pale. He’s visibly sweating and utterly speechless. “Are you two getting sick? You’re acting strange.” Eli says“How?” Muse finally says“Wha-” “Answer. Now. How do you know that word?” he cuts you offSo that’s what it was. Your suspicions were right “That’s the True Name isn’t it?”Eli is getting more lost as the conversation continues and Muse has a mix of fear and anger on his face. “When I held on to it I instantly figured out the name, that’s all.” you say. This must be the first time you’ve ever had the chance to hold onto something with a True Name. You remember Gramps never letting you hold on to weapons he deemed “too personal”. Is this what he meant?“So what are you gonna do?” Muse says“Even if I could do anything with that info, which I can’t, I wouldn’t do anything that would hurt you. You’re a talented person who loves what he does. You’re a rare find and I respect you.” you sayMuse calms down. It looks like he believes. “Don’t just blurt something like that out. Most people would kill you on the spot for doing what you did to me.”“What’s happening right now?” Eli says> 1. Explain what you know about True Names> 2. Get Muse to explain> 3. Get Muse to use his full abilities

>>3938122“FINALLY! I know something you don’t!” you gloat “Just explain it…” Eli says“Well, words have power. You can turn a city into glass if you string a certain amount of words together. Prayers and Spells aren’t that different from each other when you think about it.” you say“I got that part, just explain True Names.” Eli says“Fine, jeez. Unlike Prayers or Spells which either warp the world using the power of higher powers or the planet, True Names is the user drawing from their own being. You’re showing the deepest part of yourself by invoking that word.” you explain “Usually you use some weapon or item as a medium for a True Name. It has to be something personable so it makes sense that the musician has an instrument with a True Name.” “Wilhem really hasn’t stressed how personal True Names are, they’re the key to your soul. I’ve heard some stories about people turning into slaves because the wrong person figured out their True Name.” Muse saysEli looks at you “And you just said it haphazardly.”“I have bad foresight, I can’t be blamed for that” you counter“There are dozens of people here Wil, what if someone heard? You could’ve put Musaeus in danger.” she says“It’s fine, those are just rumors. Still, you won’t find someone who won’t get antsy if you say that sort of thing outloud.” Muse says“If you say so…” Eli says “Wait, is that why you name everything you make? You’re giving it a True Name?” Eli asks you“I don’t think so? I’m just in the habit of naming things.” you say“That’s how it usually starts. It wasn’t some big even when I named my lyre, it just happened and I started playing much differently afterwards, maybe it's the same with you.” Muse says“Huh…” that comment makes you reconsider blacksmithing. You put a piece of yourself in everything you make, that kinda sounds like True Name, but it's not the same. It’s not like their names start bouncing around in your head like Sirens did, there’s something missing… Is it because Muse actually uses pieces of himself in his lyre? Or are you still too impersonal with smithing? No, you can’t accept that Muse loves music more than you like smithing. You have to fill in the gaps.> 1. How did you figure out your True Name?> 2. Can you play the lyre to your fullest abilities?> 3. Why Sirens? > 4. How did you learn to play the lyre?
>>3938217> 2. Can you play the lyre to your fullest abilities?Im guseing sirens becouse they use songes to kill things?
>>3938217> 2. Can you play the lyre to your fullest abilities?> 4. How did you learn to play the lyre?
>>3938217“Can you play the lyre to your fullest abilities?” you want to understand what the difference between you and Musaeus is. You don’t understand music like he does but you can tell when someone loves what they do. You just need a hint“Not like I have anything to hide anymore but are you sure about this? Most people don’t appreciate it.” he warnsYou look at Eli “We can leave if you want.”“He still needs to heal my arms, and I’m pretty interested to hear him play. Stay.” she grabs your hand. “We do things together alright?” “You heard the lady Muse, start playing.” you say determined“Well I did warn you~” Muse tunes his lyre and begins strumming, nothing new from he played previous but still soothing to say the least.“The Sound of Sirens takes whole” is the last thing you hear before everything goes black. You’re still awake, just alone, the music takes a turn. You don’t hear a lyre, only some dissonance of beauty and despair.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnwHUw3DwQkThe darkness goes away, it’s replaced by a forest painted red and yellow. The music travels through the leaves. You have no way of drowning it out, you seem unable to cover your ears, you can’t speak, you can’t make a noise the least bit of noise. You can still move. You try to find Eli, maybe she’s here too? You walk through the forest trying to find your friend, the leaves slowly rain down as you make your way through. You spend hours walking, you don’t grow the least bit tired or hungry. You don’t see any birds or squirrels or deer or bugs. You feel like you can hear them in the distance but you can never get close enough to see them. It’s lonely. Where is Elisheba? Where’s anybody?Hours more have passed. You the trees and the land never seem to be the same. You never catch yourself walking in the same place twice. Are you missing something greater for the forest or is this forest all there is? “Sirens.” you say under your breath. It's the only word that can flood this world. It’s the only word you can say.“So how’d you like autumn?” Muse saysYou feel like you were instantly dragged out of it. It felt like you were looking at a shadow on the wall and finally noticed the fire. You look around. The autumn forest completely vanished. You grab your neck to see if you can still talk. You feel like you’re not all there yet. You’re still holding on to Eli’s hand. She fell asleep.“How? What did you do?” you’re bewildered“I played a song for 5 minutes.” Muse retunes his lyre“IT FELT LIKE DAYS!” you shout“Really? Huh. Must’ve gotten better.” he says“WHAT ABOUT ELI?!” you scream“She just took a nap. She’ll wake up soon enough. Earlier if you keep yelling.” he saysWhat did he do? What was that? How?> 1. A genius. Someone who single mindedly focuses on one thing until they reach the pinnacle of their skill. You’re someone I want to be. You’re absurd.”Muse has a strange mix of confusion and flattery on his face. He seems respective but doesn’t understand what you’re getting at. You extend your hand to him. “People like you are why I left home. I got ahead of myself. You’ve reminded me that I still haven’t reached my peak yet. I want to get to know you better Musaeus. Team up with me, let’s become partners!”>>>End of Blacksmith Quest #3
alright I ended it properly this time. What did you like? what did you hate? Did you enjoy it?I'm probably gonna revamp the bonuses the armors and weapons give. Don't know if I should either lower the bonuses or give stronger enemies a DC higher than 100. I'm also gonna layout the current gear everyone has at the start of each episode. If this quest goes on long enough, its gonna be harder to keep track of.Oh and I feel like I haven't given enough control of Wilhem so there's gonna be a major decision in the next few episode that might shake up a few things
