Last thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive/3849123/My Discord: N2EmEtP < apparently that's how invites look now.Last time, we escaped the jedi temple, cut down some clones, had a short brush with the darkside while dealing with smugglers, crushed an AT TE, met our ace pilot Iso Salya and had a worrying vision of being cut down by the traitor on the very landing pad on which we now stand.Now... where were we?
>>3881876By the time you reach the landing pad, Iso seems to be running low on adrenaline to push through her cracked ribs. Her showmanship has massively gone down and you start to hear little gasps and see involuntary little clenches on her hands. The majority of your ride is spent sightseeing, including taking notice of some odd creatures that you will have to ask Master Gohl about sometime. But instead, the speeder touches down on a platform slick with rain. It seems that in the evening has turned dark, with sections of the city now aflame or blacked out. You do not know enough of the planet or the district which houses the Jedi Temple, but everytime you experienced the power cut the masters put you all in panic rooms; so this can't be good for all the innocents.Iso's ship is odd. Quite unlike the small fighters that jedi use, it is bulky and almost pyramid in shape, with thrusters all along the huge flat surface you are helping both of the adults toward. From here you can see that each corner of it seems to have a pair of huge blasters, probably controlled from within.Your master seems to be mostly coming out of his sensory overload induced disorientation. And when he looks around he starts sending ripples in the force through you, you sense fear in him. But not just in him; you sense it coming toward you from the direction you all arrived from in a much greater intensity."Iso, they're coming." Gohl says, freeing himself of your support. Using the force, he levitates you both onto the ship. "We need to be airborne; now!" It's the first time you've heard him sound like he isn't in control fo a situation. As you land on the ramp of the ship you can't help but feel fear at that.> Master what's going on, who am I sensing?> Well we'll defend Iso!> Get in the ship and help Iso somehow?> How do those big guns work Iso!?

>>3882206>>3882188>>3882186"Master, what's going on who is that I'm sensing?" You ask stepping back down the ramp of the ship. The face of Gohl is twisted and furious, his lips drawn back to reveal well groomed fangs and lookign quite ferocious. "Stay on the ship Youngling! Do not look outside!" You have never heard him raise his voice, nor seen the fur on the back of his neck stand up like it is now. whatever is going on seems to have ran an electric current all upon and down your instructor's body. And despite his orders you glance over your shoulder while running deep into the bowls of the ship. The outer jedi robes have been thrown aside, revealing his immaculate garb. Like some kind of sentinel or pinnacle of the jedi order, he faces the landing gunships alone. Unlike his previous encounters, there is no radiating tranquility or control. He's looking like a cornered animal. And even ignoring the waves of fear you sense about to clash, lessons at the temple have told you that cornered animals are the most dangerous kind.~~~~Four gunships land and troopers begin to file out, a fifth gunship circling to discourage Iso from taking off. But these aren't the threats, the threats are the foolish clones skulking on rooftops thinking you cannot sense their apprehension and anger. anger at a fabricated treasonous plot by the order...Now coming after the noble jedi who fought and died for the republic and it's chancellor. It makes you sick. So when you ignite your lightsaber and deflect a blaster back at an unseen sniper; it felt easy. Stopping the misguided fool's shot felt so easy that it was almost enjoyable removing the threat. > Do not act. >>3883628>>3883630>>3883655As stealthily as possible, you deactivate your saber and crouch low in the shadw of an overcrop of bent alloy, as if sheltering from a great storm. In this position you throw yourself bodily into the great maelstrom of the force, feeling it roil, crash and writhe around the area like some great living monsoon or massive beast. You've experienced nothing like this, even in your battle against the sith assasins. Darkness stalks and circles the area and pours out of you the very ground feeling slick with fear, anger, hate and suffering. But, in you is hope. There is peace, spreading from your hands on the cold alloy. Even with your eyes shut you feel the cooling energy of the jedi way spreading through you. the circumstances had drawn you too close to the edge, fear for your safety. Fear for Dove. Hate of the traitor, clones and the chancellor who turned on your order. That was not the jedi way. Standing, you bring your hands to your chest and feel your abilities spread all through the area. The falling rain is stopped and held in place creating a dome of free air. And a dome of silence. You hear a voice from above, demanding the pilot gets him down to your position. But it is noted in a deatched way, of little concern. You do not control the force, nor does it control you. It simply is and by pushing your arms out to the side, you let loose the tide of energy that binds everyone present.Even the snipers far behind the makeshift wall of landed gunships have went toally silent. Even the perfect clone troopers of the republic's finest having been stunned by the display. That perfect silence is broken by the sound of metal being pluskced free from the remaining rivets and fastenings. There is no tearing or resistance, it all comes quickly and smoothly. Flying into clones, gunships, sending the organzed and ruhtless 501st into panic. Some diver for comrades' arms as they are tossed over the side; others are smashed to the ground many meters away either unconcious or deceased. Yet more fall of the sides, struck by the now almost completely destroyed platform and plunged down into the molten core of the planet many many miles below. But the quickest and wisest manage to dpeloy their grapples, hooking onto the supports of the landing pad and swinging below the metal skeleton of the once mighty causeway. A glance down tells you they will reocver and start climbing eventually and that one of those men is in fact the famous Captain Rex.And he isn't the only war hero of the republic you will have to deal with. But first, you'll need to do something about those landed gunships or the snipers behind them.
>>3883729> Sprint along the internal scaffold and get close to them. You're more than agile enough to run across the narrow metalwork.> You might be able to deflect their main gun. Without your cover you are exposed and free to be cut apart by those heavy lasers, deifnitely too heavy duty for you to deflect.Throwing your saber would be suicide and if you sprint across to melee, that circling gunship could drop the traitor and his elites on your six; with easy boarding access. Between a rock and a hard place, you aim for the third option. Reaching out with the force and coalescing as much of it as you can around the engines of the circling gunship.Something offers reisstance, as if the force itself is hesitant to endanger the man on board. But, it feels like the interference isn't coming from the traitor, but deeper into Coruscant. At least whatever is interefering with you cannot fully neutrslise you, as you do sense small sparks beginning to shoot from the engines of the troop transport. But before you can renew your assault and bring the ship down, your lightsaber is in hand and deflecting; as sniper fire begins ringing out. Each shot is perfectly aimed, killshots one and all. Blue lights, in the dark fly toward you and are batted away in a twirling of white-blue motion and fluid and artful motion. You waste no time, everything is efficient and caculated. Your arm is guided by the force, your footwork exemplary. But the problem is, a stalemate is as bad a s aloss for you. Iso is like a woman posessed at the cockpit of her craft, pushing at blinking buttons and flipping levers in a carefully hectic sequence that is lighting up seciton after section of the ship's interior. You let out a yelp and brace as something hits the ship and causes it to shake violently. Clutching the sides of your head as you cower. Whatever is happening scared Gohl, Gohl who isn't afraid of anything. And he's out there trying to protect you from it all.And like some little baby youngling, you're hiding while Iso and Gohl are doing their best. Because you're scared. Fear is not the jedi way. Fear leads to Anger. Anger leads to Hate. Hate Leads to Suffering. The memory, almost so clear you can feel the hand of your master on your cheek once more. Just because the light has gone, does not mean there is no light. We must be the light. Do not be afraid Dove, we need to be brave for the other younglings, don't we. You had nodded, wiping away tears and standing. The thunder and lightning was like nothing you have seen before, a great storm that touched all of your physical sensed and even the sense that tied you to the force.Another memory, of when Gohl asked you to explain why you were afraid of the dark. During a one on one lesson, usually reserved for sparring by other masters, Gohl instead tried to learn about his students. You later learned it was so he knew what kind of jedi they would be best and instruct them accordingly. And what is there to fear in the dark? Ignorance? Confusion? If you wish to vanquish uncertainty and ignorance, do so with learning. A strong light will simply cast more shadow without intelligence and discrening judgement. Knowing when to act and how, are more important than acting itself. The memories are enough to get you to your feet and looking for an answer. You don't know what is happening, so you need more information. Information can be found at the gunnery station in the far wall. But the console has not been activated, so you have to do it. The red light on the stick is most likely a trigger, so you instead should... Raise the lever slowlyAs you do, you feel the ship's power being diverted and roaring into life. Generators and wires sending the cartridges and heating packs for the huge anti vehicle blasters the much needed power for their function. All by your hand.
>>3886827And you see your master, beset by a squad of snipers. And five gunships all trying to fire upon the nimble Noorian Knight who was weaving and deflecting everything coming at him. His acrobatics before your eyes cause hope to bloom in your chest despite the odds, every flip and movement of his blade as perfect as could be. This was not his usual combat form, but the one you had only seen once before. Master Yoda's bizarre form would favour someone like Gohl; but it is still astounding to see him propelling himself through the air like a spinning and dazzling marionetteBut those gunships will manage to home in on him sooner or later, as impressive as the show is - you know that it would take a member of the Jedi Council's level of force precognition to stand alone out there for much longer. And that's without taking into account the black clad figure disembarking from the the furthest back gunship.Your master cannot retaliate for sniper fire, he cannot advance without those heavy ship lasers turning the area into a wasteland and him alongside it and the clone's leader will no doubt be prepaing a coordinated assault to overwhlem him soon. The clones fought alongside the jedi for years in the clone wars, so they must have had some ideas on how to defeat their former comrades. Such treasonous curs were simply preparing a tactic to defeat your master right before your eyes. You had to do something! Thankfully the display is low enough for someone to sit there permenantly, so you're comofrtably able to manipulate the station. With a brief gulp to bolster yourself, you squeeze on the trigger. Prepared to destory the ships and save Gohl. Instead of instant fireworks and destruction, a half dozen reticules appears on your target as you begin dragging the targeter to the next ship. Like some kind of targeting system? It marks where it will hit when you finally fire? Such and odd ship. But you redouble your efforts, dragging the target over each and every ship. Ready to crush the enemy in one fell swoop.
>>3892489Like the very rain lashing the ground around you, more and more blaster fire is falling. It is almost invigorating to be pushing yourself to such a degree, immersing yourself in the force and a battlefield for the first time in almost a solar year. Muscle memory and instincts long honed but left restless finally emerge in a storm of fire and determined assault, that you rebuke time and again to the detriment of the area around you. Sniper fire lands at your feet and between your legs, but the force is with you; anything that will end you is deflected and repulsed as you continue to look for an opening to finish your retreat. The fifth gunship has landed behind the line, so you're very much aware that this is a ticking clock. He will be coming, charging ahead of his troopers as he always is wont to do. And that will bring the vision to pass and force a decision upon you that you refuse to make. But just as you see a fammiliar figure moving his way through the troopers using the ships as cover, the battlefield is awash with the sound of sonic death. Iso's weapon systems scream as they began strafing all of the gunships in a brilliant green line of turbolasers and sonic disruptors. Electornics and shields are scrambled by the sonic weaponry before the cutting edge turbolasers cleave through the now defenseless gunships in a perfectly coordinated volley of technilogical supremacy. Why, if this weaponry suite was affixed to the republic's fleets the war with the seperatists would be a massacre! The General drops to the ground as the laser of death passed by his head, a surprising display of vulnerability as the lives of the squad next to him are snuffed out by the heavy weaponry levelled against them. For a brief moment, you consider pouncing on his weakness; ending the man who genocided your loved ones as cruelly as he cut down the younglings. But you have a youngling of your own to protect, so you only linger for one moment; to make sure he can look in your eyes and remember you bested him. With that second of gloating done, you sprint up the ramp and punch the button to seal the hold. And feel the ship rise off of the platform despite the small arms fire the snipers direct at it."Where are we going?" Iso demands from the cockpit. > A small world in the outer rim, there is a jedi ruin there Dove needs to do her padawan trial.> Noorian homeworld, you know the place better than your own paws> Naboo, they have long been friends to the jedi> Ask Iso to choose somewhere, that way they can't guess what you'd say.> Kasshyyk. Are we headed to your home planet or something?" She asks, "Because I could just set the nav point there.""When we come into the system I will supply you with new coordinates." You say, knocking on hatch to the cockpit. Bet any Jedi here are too scared to admit that the lightside sucks. Doesn't even have real force lightning, losers.

>>3896962>> Iso demands some answers from you.
>>3897846>>3897030>>3896989Called for an uncomfortable conversation.
>>3897846>>3897030>>3896989After some time making your way up into the atmosphere, things settle into uneasy silence. Your hovering concern for the pilot is obvious enough for her to be annoyed by, but she has enough commonsense to know that she needs you in case something does actually happen. Republic shipyards, repurporsed to produce military vessels and space defence platforms stop you from going into hyperdrive until you're out of range of intercept. So Iso just has to settle for thruster flight, you're no navigation droid. But you'd guess it'll be an hour or so before you can make the hyperspace jump."So. You're a jedi." She eventually says, as if that's enough of an explanation."Yes. I am a jedi." You answer, moving to sit in her copilot seat. "Is that so surprising.""You were hotter as a dirty corsec agent." she grouses, removing the breathers her species wear activating some kind of life suport setting that let you see her mouth without the reinforced plastic for the first time."I apologise for disapointing you then." You respond, somewhat curtly. With oxygen being posionsous to her kind, you're somewhat concerned at how long you'll be able to keep breathing if she's able to breath freely. "No more games alright? What's Dove's deal? Is she really a bastard you had against the jedi rules?" She doesn't move her gaze from the displays on her ship; but you can sense her focus is mostly on you. This conversation is more than curiosity, Iso is testing your dependability. A knife might be headed for your back if you are not careful here."No. She is the only one of my pupils I could save." Your claws instinctively begin to emerge from your paws. "When the republic turned on us, it was chaos. She was shot in the massacre; I managed to stabalise her in the medical centre; but in that time-" You look away unable to finish the thought."Alright, republic slaughtered the jedi. The chancellor says you tried to assasinate him; crazy but not impossible." She shoots you a look as you half rise to protest. "But, shooting kids? If it was just because your monk buddies tried to coup they'd be taking prisoners and torturing confessions, or going for public executions. Not a purge.""You're right." You say, drumming your claws on the console to your right. "It's more than that.""Well, out with it." She demands, "I'm not watching your back if you don't trust me with the truth."> Long ago... there was a mighty empire called the Sith> General Skywalker betrayed us for some reason. He and the chancellor are evil. I dn't know if any jedi survived.> Count Dooku was right. The Jedi were mislead by their loyalty to the republic. >>3899313>>3898994>>3898863As you take a deep breath, your ears twitch at the sound of the hatch to the cockpit slightly opening. It seems your pupil hasn't quite learned that eavesdropping is unbecoming of an aspiring jedi. "Long ago, in the days of the old republic. There was an empire, mighty, strong and dark. Hailing from the far world of Korriban they called themselves the sith..."And so you launch into a storied and comprehensive history of the many wars of Jedi versus Sith. Dark and Light. The struggles for galactic dominance or galactic peace. For her part Iso asks pertinent questions here and there, while Dove sheepishly climbs in to openly partake in the history lesson once her arms and legs get tired. You're no orator, but by the end of everything your audience of two is thorughouly hooked on every word. "Which brought us to today. Where Master Windu led a team of masters to arrest Palpatine, believeing him to be a sith lord." There is a long silence, but Iso breaks it. "So this Dooku guy was branded a sith for calling out the republic being kinda corrupt? And there were a bunch of sith siding with the seperatists? So you figured, he must be a sith?""If it walks like a sith, talks like a sith and uses a red lightsaber like a sith was most people's beliefs. I only crossed blades with him once. I sensed a very conflicted soul. Mostly dark, but with sparks of the master he once was within." You rub at your eyes."Alright. So this guy basically was in charge of both sides of this war? And nobody was onto him? Not even The So Called Chosen One? Not even that master Yoda you talk about." Iso drums her fingers, "Feels like someone should have seen something."The hyperdrive is almost charged.> You are right. >>3899467>>3899472>>3899482"But... Jedi can't die." Dove says abruptly. "What?" Iso says almost with a laugh, "C'mon pet, don't be silly of course-""NO!" Dove protests, "Jedi are the guardians of justice and light, we protect order! How can we just... die?"You reach out to her, placing your paw on the top of her head, "Listen Strashashak." The woe in your voice is apparently enough to arrest the little Palliduvan's attention. "The jedi are like all things; connected to the force. Moreso than most."From the corner of your eye, you note Iso rolling her eyes beneath her goggles as she begins charging the hyperdrive. But you continue, "And all that comes from the force must some day return to the force, it is natural." "But... we're jedi. We can't just... disapear like everyone else." She protests weakly, tugging at her arm."All things must end. That is the natural order. The way things are. We protect that order." You briefly consider holding back your next sentence, but decide she's already heard enough today; "Death is not to be feared. And some of the most heinous and evil acts of the Sith involved manipulating the force in an attempt to cheat death. To extend their life and warp the very natural order." You move your paw from side to side flicking her braid, "Strashashak, I wished to have more time before we made this journey together.""Where are we going?" She asks, as a small "Fasten Seatbelt" sign is illuminated by your ace pilot. "An oxygenated asteroid, known as Kulliva III. More specifically-" The view from the cockpit begins to blur as every one of the thousands of stars in the sky begin to streak. The cognitive processing of what your minds were not actually developed enough to comprehend; a sub space pathway created by the ships hyperdrive, "We're going to the third jedi temple of Master Bido."> Aqquiring supplies in the Valnak system> Something is wrong> Applying medical treatment to Iso> Touchdown on Kulliva III> Write-In

>>3901054>>3901005>>3900745>>3900566>>3900534>>3900503>>3900283With the hyperdrive enabled, Iso's seat automatically pulls away from the console. To the tune of hissing hydraulics, she gingerly makes to stand. Without a word, you steer her right back into her seat to examine the wound she's picked up. With keen senses, you investigate how deep the wound is, if it hit anything important and of course search for infection. All you manage to smell is blod, no infection or bone marrow has set into the circulatory system just yet, but it will before long if you do not act. "Dove. Head to the medical bay. I'm going to need to coagulent injectors; some coolweave thread and a suture needle."Iso grunts as you poke a particular tender bit of hide, "Second door on your right kid. Black box, white cross." "Yes captain!" The youngling naps off a salute before running back out the hatch she climbed in just a short time ago. Iso barely contains a snicker. There's a brief bit of awkwardness, "That's a sweet kid you've got there." Iso says to break it."She's just my pupil." You remind her."Oh c'mon, you saying you don't have a soft spot for her? She's smart, daring, cuter than a Ferron puppy." Iso seems to be enjoying the teasing, until you accidentally brush a tender spot again.Somehow you manage to keep your voice level, but there's chasm you almost step into when your thoughts go to the past, "I had a soft spot for all my pupils. They were my charge. The future of the order, awaiting guidance.""Oh." Iso says, realising the gravity of your loss. "Do you want to talk about them?"For a second you consider it, letting out the feelings of failure and despair at such bright light being snuffed from the galaxy once and for all by the hands of the dark. But that is not the jedi way. Tranquility and serenity, not passions are what will guide you to the light."Credit for those thoughts jedi?" The smuggler says, revealing her pointed teeth in a wry smirk."I do not think I can talk of them." You admit."That's fine. Don't want Dove to fall apart, right?" The way she offers up the logic like a lifeboat tells you that she knows it's just an excuse she's offering you. For such a renegade, you're surprised by just how much she seems to understand you."You are right. She needs to focus on the future." "We all do." Iso says scratching at the red lines left by her breather mask. It must be difficult keeping that on outside of her ship."We all do." You agree, you hear a thump as something is knocked over in the medical storage. Clearly Dove could not reach the box without improvisation. The silence yearns to be filled. But you are not sure if Iso or you will do so.> Iso asks about your nickname for Dove> You ask about Iso's breather and goggles> You try to ask that Iso avoids being nude while you and Dove are passengers> Ask Iso how she will handle being on an uncharted world with only the two of you for company.> Write-In

You search for the word, but Iso jumps in."Restricting? Frustrating? Annoying?" She offers, "How about a pain in the ass, light torture or a reminder of everything I've done wrong." "I was going to say inconvenient." You simply say, unable to keep your stoic expression against her warm smile."I'll add it to the list then." She quips, miming writing it on an invisible pad."Only if you give me credit. It was my idea after all." "Why should I? I'm a no good smuggler after all." Iso taunts, distracting you from Dove hauling a crate half her size up to the cockpit. "Well Jedi are ferocious protective of their intellectual property. If you must know." Somehow you find yourself smiling and meeting Iso's goggles. "You would find my retribution quite frightening."She holds her hands up in surrender, "Alright, alright." She continues her mime, "As suggested by Jedi Master Gohl, happy?"you nod, but add, "I am no Jedi Master. I am but a Jedi Knight.""Ah back to serious again?" Iso smiles past you and Dove shepeishly gives you the supplies to start stitching up your pilot. "I had you smiling, bring back the fun jedi!""You got Master gohl to smile?" Dove asks, "That's my job!""Don't want to tread on any toes, after all. I hear Jedi are ferocious at protecting their ideas.""Oh yeah, ferocious!" Dove agrees, giggling at the little inside joke you've now created. "And I think that's Knight Gohl. Not Master Gohl." Iso teasingly corrects, rolling her eyes.> No it's master Gohl to her. > You don't adress Knights as Knight... It's usually just Jedi.
